Hey, you there, thanks for tuning in.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
You're ready for another episode of my big Foot sighting.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
All right, then let's do this.
Speaker 3 (00:11):

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Yeah, if you've had a bigfoot sighting and would like
to be a guest, please go to my Bigfoot sighting
dot com and let me know.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
My bigfoot sightings are why I investigate them. Present day. Hi.
My name is Lance. I live in Michigan. I've also
lived in Washington State. I just wanted to let you
know about some of my bigfoot sightings here in the
state of Michigan. I've done active investigations in this area.
(01:20):
I talked to a myriad of people. I've got some
really cool stories, even video clips that I've shared with
the host here. So some of the cool stuff that
I've done in the last ten years being here in Michigan.
I first moved back here in twenty fourteen and was
(01:41):
unloading the truck cool fall day, and I heard a howl.
And this is up up by the northern Lower Peninsula,
up by Traverse City, out in the woods, and I
thought they followed me. So I just wanted to give
(02:02):
you some different things that I've gone through here in
Michigan and let you know what's going on. So some
of the cool stuff. We've gone all over the state
and talked to a lot of people, investigated sightings. We've
actually had people doing gifting and fed them and when
they stopped, the sasquatches got a little bit upset and
(02:27):
started looking at people's windows. Cameras were put up. The
state came in and said, please don't feed the animals.
Different things that are on there. Let's talk about my sighting.
I was up fishing and out recording with a friend
(02:48):
of mine and we were hearing wood knocks in the woods.
So we decided to go fastquatch hunting in that area
and got about one hundred yards out and saw something
looking at us. I pulled out the phone and steadied
it on the trees. It was in the springtime, so
not a lot of brush in the area, but you
(03:10):
could definitely see that there was an eight foot being
with a cone shaped head looking at us through the trees,
standing full faced looking at us, so not even hiding
behind the trees and watching. So I pulled out and
recorded the individual for about twenty one seconds. You could
see arms moved, you could see the muffles on his
(03:31):
body underneath his at the fur I increased the phone
from normal view to telescopic views. He could actually see
it and you could see it in that area. It's
like it was watching standing guard. In that area. We
(03:52):
decided to watch walk in a little farther. We found
big x's up all along there. And when I say
a big, imagine a thirty five forty foot tree length
that is at least eight inches across in an X
against another tree. We found multiple trees like that with
(04:15):
the x'es, and you get up to one of them
and you look in any direction and you'd see two
or three of them, like it was a boundary tree.
As we approached close to where this individual was, we
got up to where that was. The individual sasquatch that
we saw was not there. There was no stump there,
(04:38):
and we looked over the edge we found what we
can only imagine would be a corral that was logs
that had been put in there, so maybe corral the young,
We don't know. We figure it was since it was springtime.
They were verying young in that area. We took pictures
(05:01):
of surrounding trees and actually found about three or four
individuals peekabooing at us while we were up there. We
did get walked out of the area by the individuals.
The sasquatch. The one that we saw was easily eight
(05:25):
foot maybe nine feet tall. The shoulders on that thing
was at least four feet across. This had to been
a eight to twelve hundred pound individual. I mean this
thing was huge. We found multiple footprints in the area.
I do carry a kit with me, maybe just a
(05:47):
little backpack with me that has a few things on it.
It'll have a tape measure so you can measure the print.
Then also I carry what's called dental impression. You just
add a little bit of water you can put it in.
It's a rubbery type of material and will actually pick
(06:08):
up the all the way down to the footprint. Fingerprints
of the foot in the ground, which is nice. And
then also a thermal camera that I picked up online.
Costs me about two fifty to have that to be
(06:29):
able to go out there. And then paper bags. You
don't want to use plastic bags. Make sure you use
paper bags for any evidence unless it's feces and you
want to use plastic. But we have different stuff that
we take with us just to investigate because in case
we come across anything. That was one of the huge
(06:53):
areas up there. We are up near a large river
up north in the springtime. In the fall, I decided
to go salmon fishing on that river and a friend
of mine from Detroit area and I drove up there
and we hiked down to the bottom of the off
(07:14):
the thread foot cliffs down to the bottom of the river,
and he was probably about fifteen twenty feet in front
of me, talking up a storm because he was all
excited about fishing. There wasn't a lot of other people there.
As I walked by a bushy tree, I got growled at. Now,
(07:35):
this was not a bear growl. It was not a
cougar growl. I've been growled at by cougars, bears, bobcat.
This was a guttural growl from something big, and I
stopped and slowly turned around with my fishing pole started
infecting the area. Nothing was moving, but I could tell
(07:56):
that he was probably within five feet of where I
was walking by. Now I don't know if he spelled me.
It made me made a memory of what when I
was there inspecting that area earlier in the spring. But
it was very interesting that you know a lot of
low brush you have to watch out for when you
(08:19):
get growled at by something rather big right there. So that, yeah,
you know, that whole area up in that area is
very active, and I don't think that a lot of
people understand what is going on up there. We've had
other reports out of that area that they've had window
(08:39):
peakers in that area as well. This all started with
me back in a little town up north called Frankfurt, Michigan,
back in the seventies, early seventies. We moved up there,
and you know, I remember looking out the window early
(09:00):
in the morning and seeing tree stumps, trees maybe about
thirty feet from my window, and one of them being
really big, big tree logs coming up, and then looking
back about a half hour later and they were gone.
So something was watching us. We'd go for hikes back
(09:23):
in the woods and come across these footprints that were
sixteen seventeen inches long barefoot. My dad asked me, well,
are you guys walking barefoot back here? I said no.
When we'd hear howls and wood knocks and banging on
the metal objects that were back in the back of
the back of the house. More than once we had.
(09:48):
You know, we didn't have curtains on the windows on
my windows, so I always looked outside and the windows
were about six seven feet off the ground, and I
would see a face looking back in. Well, huh, something's
watching me, and I'd run tell Mom and dad. They'd
come back, and of course there was nothing there. Even
(10:10):
walking along, you know, I heard my dad say, oh,
Lances and knowing full well Dad, as it worked and
this was coming out of the brush, I'd kind of
walk at the brush and look and continue walking on, thinking,
you know, something telling me don't go into the don't
go into that part of the woods, don't do that,
and you know, not thinking anything could be out there,
(10:34):
you know, calling my name or you know, being right
out in front of the house. Sorry about being disconjointed.
We were in the house, I would play out in
the front yard. About eight or nine years old. I
was playing in the dirt with my trucks and and
you know, just past the cement and making well I'm
(10:54):
going to live on top of the house and stuff.
And all of a sudden I got this feeling that
something was watching me. And I looked about thirty yards
down the end of the driveway at this face looking
at me through the brush across the road. And I
looked at it, and I cocked my head and looked
at it again. It was a It was a hairy
(11:15):
face looking back at me. And immediately I thought bear.
I thought bear, and I screamed like you could not believe.
My grandfather and my dad came running and I said
bear across the road, and at that time, something moved,
and the branch tired moving back and forth, and oh
my gosh, to see that thing looking at me. And
(11:38):
that thing took off fast, and my dad, my grandfather,
you know, wouldn't go over there and looked at it
because they didn't see what I saw. But all the
branch moving and they having to see that bow I
was moving, they kind of comfort me. I came back
in the house, got some water and went on with
my day. But to live up in northern Michigan, not seeing,
(12:05):
you know, not really knowing what was going on was
you know, I would take off at six years old
back in the woods and had no problem with that whatsoever.
But I was always walking in the woods. There was
you know, always back in the woods, back on the
sand dune. You would stop because something wasn't right. You
(12:26):
could feel something watching you, but you couldn't figure out
where it was. So I was it was kind of interesting.
We moved out to We've moved out to Washington State
in eighty two, to the Olympic Peninsula, and you know,
just had some different experiences there where I was out
(12:50):
in the truck, four wheel driving in the middle of
the night and had this thing run across the road
that has on all fours, but I had no tail,
but it was huge. It was just really weird to
see that enough that I stopped the truck and watched,
you know, it was it was neat to see what
(13:12):
I now know was a fastquatch running on all fours.
I thought it was big cougar at first, but again
there was no tail. And I've seen cougars before, you know,
nine foot from head to tail cougars, And this wasn't
a cougar. It definitely had it definitely was where I
stopped and would watch it, and it went over the edge.
(13:35):
You couldn't find it. But the you know, the biggest
experience I had of when I really got into looking
at investigating current day sightings was when I was in
Washington at the base of Mount Baker. I was living
(13:56):
there just above the Nooksack River in a little town
called Welcome, Washington. It's comprises of a fire station and
about four houses. And I was out walking down to
the river bottoms to check out the salmon that were
coming up the river and coming up some of the
(14:17):
streams and stuff, and starting hiking down a fire road
that was maybe about twenty five thirty feet above the river.
They always run fire roads up there along the river
just in case of forest fire, and such. Trees are
all one hundred plus feet tall evergreens and a few
maples here here, and there a large cliff next to
(14:41):
me that was maybe about one hundred two hundred feet
high made of coal and graft at some of the
other stones there. And I'm walking along all of a sudden,
rocks come flying over the cliff and land near me.
And I was with a walking stick, and I yelled
(15:04):
off the cliff. I said, whoever's up there throwing stones,
you better not hit me. I'm going to come up
there and get you. And just as I said that,
out of the corner of my eye to the right,
down in the river bottoms, something shook the trees and
it was big, and I had a cone head and
fur from head to toe and shook the trees and
(15:25):
then just walked through the river bottom toward the toward
the water in the area. And I stopped and I looked,
and I thought, what is that. I've never seen a
bear walk like that. I'm thinking bear. Maybe it was
an elk. Elk do not have cone heads, not fur
from head down all over the bodies, and they did
(15:48):
not grab the elk and bear won't grab trees and
shake them. And so I continued on my way back
down into the road where I was hiking down to
the water into the woods there, and I'm looking around,
I'm going this this is not this is not right.
I don't I can't be here. And I made a
(16:11):
bee line straight to the water because it was open area.
Once I get into the river, bottoms past the trees
where I'd hiked a long time before, got across right
into the river and followed the river back up to
the road and came back up. That night we had
You could hear it was it was trained. You could
(16:34):
hear like howling and dogs barking. So there was a
howl coming up the river, and then the dog spark
and then somebody neighbors. All the way up the river.
You could just hear these dogs going off of something
coming up the river. And I got screened at. I
got literally screened at. I stepped outside the back of
(16:54):
the house to listen to the commotion and probably within
about twenty five thirty feet to me, just down the embankment,
I got screamed at, and I'm going, what in the
world is that? And I went in and started doing
some research. What kind of what kind of howl did
I hear? And it was a howl. It was a
howl from you know. I found a big foot site
(17:17):
that had the holes and I listened to it and
I said, that's exactly what I heard, and contacted them
let them know that, hey, this is this is going
on out here in Nooksack River. They came out and investigated.
We walked all through the area and would not go
back in the woods by myself, and they said, hey,
(17:40):
don't worry. You know, if you're with people, you're fine.
I was freaked out. I'm the six foot ye know,
at that point, six foot four, two hundred and eighty
pounds and a big guy that won't normally most people
won't mess with. But there I wasn't sure because it
(18:02):
was the unknown. About a month later, I came out
of the back of the house I lived in a
beautiful house on about an acre. Came out of the
back of the house and I went to get in
the truck. My deck is about three feet above the ground.
And I looked over past the truck toward my garage,
(18:26):
and there was a seven and a half foot light colored,
you know, sandy brown with almost reddish colored sasquatch looking
at me. And I remember him. He was just standing
there and I looked at him and he had he
put his arm up in front of his face where
(18:47):
I could see the hair, about four inches of hair
hanging off his arms. He had black eyes. He you know,
the cone shaped head that the arms. He was probably
three feet easily across at his shoulders, and I looked
down and I could see his legs. He was all
covered at hair. His face was was kind of cro
(19:09):
magnan looking, had a definite nose. You could see his ears.
You could see a lot of facial features. And he
put his arms up in front of his face like
he was like if he blocked his face, I wouldn't
see it. He took two steps and covered twelve feet
(19:29):
to the back of the garage. I stood there, going, well, huh,
look at that. They do exist. And I walked back
in the house and then ended up. You know, I
ended up sleeping with the gun next to the bed
because I didn't I'm up there by myself. I don't
(19:51):
know so, but that on one side and the gun
on the other, because I wasn't sure what was up there.
I had gone out about a month after that, it's springtime.
I went outside to get get some stuff out of
the truck that I brought home, my groceries, and it
(20:13):
sounded like there was two kids whining at each other
in the front of the house. In the briers in
front of the house, BlackBerry bushes were twelve fifteen feet high,
just lining the driveway up. There wasn't sure what was good,
but you could hear this whining back and forth like
(20:35):
he touched me. I did not, you did it? You
know that type of whining. It was just like brothers
and sisters whining together. I coughed, and all of a sudden,
you heard a I could only think it was a
mother or father sasquatch to be quiet and just grumbled
(20:56):
like that, and it was. It was quiet enough that
I went and got the grocery steam back in the house,
locked up the house and went inside. That night. I
had the window shades open. I have windows all the
way around the house. It was a nice, nice eyes house.
(21:17):
I was sitting there watching TV and I looked up
because I felt something was watching me. I looked out
the window and there was a face looking down. My
windows are about at this house, We're probably eight feet
at the top of the window. There was something leaning
down looking in. It freaked me out enough that I
(21:39):
went and pulled every sheet that I possibly could find
and covered the windows with the sheets, with any type
of betting I could find anything. Because that freaked me out,
I had to look up and see something looking down
at me. That was that was huge. H But again,
(22:04):
it just when you start to start to have experiences
in certain areas, it really comes to mind that, you know,
why are they interested in me? Why do they want
to come find me? I didn't do anything to them.
Why are they Why are they doing this? You know,
(22:27):
I don't need to be scared. I'm a I'm a
grown man. At that time, was working in the jails,
and so I didn't have to jail and for the county,
didn't have to really worry about anything else out there.
I proceeded to kind of watch what was going on.
I went out to get the mail one day and
(22:50):
slipped on the wet grass and fell backwards and in
the briar bush. As I hear a deep laugh like something.
I got myself up, picked myself up, looked at the
briar bush, and I said, okay, something there watching me.
(23:14):
A he's laughing at me for falling. So I went
back in the house, got in the truck and went
down to get the mail instead of walking to it. So,
you know, just to have those experiences where we're not
only seeing them but having them around watching you and
watching what you're doing was always interesting. So onto other
(23:36):
sightings and said, a friend of mine and I decided
to go hiking in the North Cascades in Idaho. Now,
this is a really cool little lake that's north of
Spokane and Cord Lane. Probably about an hour and a
half to get up to it, and then you hike
(23:56):
in about ten miles to get to the inlet of
this lake. This was in May and I would say
two thousand and one, maybe two thousand and two. In
that time frame, we decided to hike all the way
up and to do some fishing at the inlet. I
(24:19):
just wanted to go up the hike overnight, you know,
find out what's going on up there. This lake has
been known to have sasquatches around it that after learned
that after the fact. But this was in two thousand
and two, we'll say about that time spring. We hiked
all the way up. It was a twelve mile hike
(24:40):
from the truck to the headwaters of the lake in Idaho.
We got down, we found this really the path of
getting all the way up there. The path goes around
the spot and then drops into a delta like area
(25:01):
where a small creek runs into the lake, and that's
the main flood area. If it did flood, it would
it would cover the area. But it was open enough
area that we decided to camp there overnight and we
set up our tent. Now, if you can imagine, there
is a wall of you know, delta area. The cliffs
(25:25):
come down and one waterfall it wasn't big, it was
maybe about a foot and a half two feet wide,
would come down and then meander through the center of
the area where we were, and then the lake was
butted up against the lake. Right in front of the lake,
just before you got there, where these great big old
(25:48):
growth logs and they were stacked like a like a
buffer in this area. So it was it was kind
of cool to have that. I put my tent behind
one of the one of the barriers. That way, if
the wind came up, I would be protected from a
wind a little bit. So I had a three man
(26:10):
tent that I set up there, put my bag in there.
We started a fire down by the water just before
the lake and just had a little fire going there.
We ended up cooking. Everything got done cooking, we go
ahead and cleaned up everything, made sure there's no food
(26:31):
smells where a grizzly area. Grizzly bears are probably about
two to three times the size of black bears, so
we didn't want to deal with any food and have
them smell that and come into the campground. We took
our bag of food and our gear and proceeded to
(26:51):
walk about one hundred yards upstream. We tied it to
a tree and pulled it up into the tree line,
so it was on a branch and it was probably
twenty five thirty feet up. It was just proper way
to make sure that the food smells stay away from us.
(27:13):
We had cleaned the all the pots and pans and
dishes and dry them stack them alongside of a tree
to so they would dry overnight, so we have them
fresh for the morning. And then we sat down and
he had his tent, I had my tent. We talked
a little bit and then turned in probably about ten
(27:35):
thirty eleven o'clock at night through the morning hours, i'd
say one to two o'clock to be three o'clock in
the morning. All of a sudden I hear clanging of
our pots and pain. I'm thinking, great, there is a
raccoon or something. Check it around trying to find food.
(27:57):
You know, I'm thinking that I'm not worried about it
too much. I'm not going to worry about that. Then
I heard the pots and pants move to the trees
to they move from behind the tent to in front
of the tent, between the tent and the and the water.
I thought, well, okay, when they're picking them up and
(28:19):
moving them and we have to find them all tomorrow morning,
everything's to be scattered. About that time, something pushed down
on my tent and I wasn't sure what it was,
and I said, knock it off. And I reached up
and hit something something hard. It was a kneecap and
(28:41):
I hit the kneecap and that thing was probably four
feet off the ground. I hit it and I knocked
it and I said, knock it off. I'm trying to sleep.
And it moved and then something else leaned against the
tree again or against the tent again, and I said
knock it off. And I hold that thing hard. It
(29:01):
was like hitting a brick, just something hard, and it
scared the le guitar. I mean, I wasn't sure what
it was. And it stopped to move away, and something
tripped over the the line holding the tent up. The
tent sloppered around a little bit, and then it was quiet.
(29:22):
I got up the next morning at daylight, probably about
seven o'clock in the morning, and finally got a little
bit daylight, got up and went outside and was stretching.
I'm thinking, oh, yeah, I got to go pick up
all the all the year that had been strewed around
the camp site from the raccoons that I heard earlier.
(29:44):
And I'm walking around. I'm going, there's a footprint in there.
It's pretty big. I'm going, oh, I don't know what
that is. And I'm problem, I'll wait till my buddy
wakes up and we'll talk about it. I turned around
and look at the tree that's between my and the lake,
and on the tree is the pants and the dishes
(30:07):
and the forks and the knife. Everything is perfectly set
out on top of that log, equidistance of about three
inches all the way down the log. And that's really weird.
I mean, it was all perfectly set up down that log.
So I wasn't sure what what I saw, what was
going on. I looked at that and I thought, what
(30:32):
is what is this? You know? I waited till my
buddy John got up and I said, check this out.
He goes, you did that. I said, no, I didn't.
I wasn't and we we I said, look at the
Look at the tree where we have our stuff. The
(30:53):
tree where we had our stuff. The bag was pulled
down from the tree to a about eight feet where
it was twenty feet up in the tree. It had
been pulled down like something had gotten on the branch
and pulled it down to about eight feet high. And
I looked at I said, giberis climbed trees. You think
(31:15):
the bear did dance, you know? He goes, I don't know.
And we just we didn't feel that. We felt like
something was watching us. And so we made breakfast and
cleaned up everything and packed up anything, and I said,
what do you want to fish? He goes, Nope, I
think I just want to go. So we decided to
(31:37):
start hiking out now. Instead of going, we were going
to go around to catch the trail and then take around,
but it didn't feel right, so we decided to go
straight up a hill. The hill was full of pine needles.
It was brought on a forty five degree angle, so
you take one step and you slide slide back a
half a step, so you take one or two steps
(31:57):
and something come back one. We're on a full pack.
We're just trying to get out of there as fast
as we could. We were both scared and just nervous
about what was in and around that area. We weren't sure.
We finally got up on the trail and start hiking
to the back to the truck, and I had turned
(32:19):
around and something white was following us. Now this thing
was white. It was probably seven and a half eight
feet tall, wide shoulders. It was following up up the
path behind us. It had a face that was almost human,
but not quite. So we weren't sure. I told my
(32:41):
buddy John, I said, turn around, look and he looked,
and he says, that's not normal. I said, nope, we
need to step it up. So we started hiking a
little faster. That thing saw us and bolted into the woods,
(33:01):
you know, really fast. As soon as we locked eyes
on it, it just disappeared. But we felt like we
were being walked out of that area or being pushed
out of that area some I'm scared. We got to
the truck, just threw everything at the back of the
truck and got in and took off, and then then
we discussed what we had saw. Again. You know, it's
(33:24):
thirty some odd years old at that time, and have
something like that come out of nowhere, and you just
you don't put two and two together of all the
experiences until you see one, until you actually can look
at it and look at the hair coming off of
(33:46):
the arms and seeing the eyes look back at you,
and you could see the mouth and the nose and
the ears, and you're looking at something that is forty
feet from you, or defeat's not that far away is huge.
You're looking up at it and you just can't imagine
(34:08):
this stuff is true. Now I'm coming back up to
present day. I work with a researcher in the area
and he sends me out to go talk to certain people.
We clock evidence, We talked to him, We've made footprints,
We've done got pictures of footprints in certain areas, have
(34:30):
gone on some of the Indian reservation, talked to the
people there, and for some reason, during the salmon runs
there's a lot more sightings. And I can only surmise
that because of the salmon that are there. They you know,
(34:52):
they're coming down for salmon, just like we are we're
coming in to fish, they're coming down to fish as well.
And I'm thinking that sometimes that that they'll have a
little bit more pressure from humans and they'll they'll think
that that's a that's something that is going to be
affecting their behavior if they go out at night and
(35:16):
fish or whatever. However they're going to get their food,
and if they're in an area just like when I
got growled at down the base of the down by
the river there, they're going to perceive that as a threat. Now,
one of the things that when you go into the woods,
(35:40):
you have to be vigilant to see what is not right.
You can be walking in the woods and find a
tree that has bark laying across it, or come out
to an area. I remember coming up to many areas
that have deer that look like they they're hanging in trees,
(36:06):
or other animals hanging in trees, which just isn't normal.
And you know, bear won't put cougar might pull it
up in the tree to eat it, but not not
leave it up there. They'll eat it and not hang it.
So there's a there's different things that will happen when
(36:27):
you're when you're talking to people. You have to ask
the five w's, who, what, where or when, why, and
the conditions. If you're in an area that is conducive
to prey fish, maybe there's more ground chickens in the area,
(36:51):
or you know, birds, turkeys and such, you're gonna have
higher population possibly of that area. You just have to
be vigilant to watch your area, listen, find out what's
going on. When I saw that one up north that
I that I do have the video of it, we
(37:15):
were out there looking for what we were looking for,
you know, looking to because we heard the wood knocks.
We heard, you know, you could hear wood knocks through
the through the forest, and the wood knocks were very
healthy wood knocks. It was somebody picked up a log
and hit another, hit a tree, and we would we
would return to the woodknocks. Just now to know where
(37:37):
we were there, I'm sure they knew we were there, but
to have them where you could watch an area and
they'll run try to get your attention. They're good at deception.
So look over here. Well, our family unit moves over there.
(37:58):
So when they threw rocks at me to get my attention,
that was to so the one down to the bottom
could get away, or you know that one was standing
there looking at me straight on. There's two more that
were to the side of us, and we have pictures
of them as well that they were running through the
(38:18):
woods trying to get our attention a different way. So
am I scared of them. I'm respectful of them when
you if you can't, if you come up to if
you've got a sass squatch in front of you, last
thing you want to do is stand your ground. You
(38:39):
got to you gotta kind of like keep your feet,
just trying to look down. Don't look them in the eye.
You know, same with a barrier, you don't look them
in the eye. But you watch what they're doing and
make sure that they just give them respect. But you
also have to be vigilant that these things probably could
tear your arms up that big and if you're seeing
(39:02):
young uns or or you know you've got a brood going,
I always have to watch for that stuff. But just
incredible amount of stuff. My wife and I were up
in the Up for a day trip and we had
stopped along to watch the eagles and the trees along
(39:24):
the back roads just over by Newberry. I believe it
was Newberry over by the it's a cominant falls, and
we pulled off the side of the road just to
watch a couple of eagles that were soaring through, you know,
landed in the trees. Could always tell with the white heads,
white tails. And we were standing there and we heard
(39:47):
a wood knock clear as day within the area. My
wife says, huh, they're up here too. It was there
that we knew that there's a lot more of them
throughout the throughout the country and then what people think.
We didn't see any of that at that point, but
(40:08):
we could hear the woodknockx, we could hear the screams
in the woods. We went up to Lake Spearere State
Park and stayed overnight up there, and I had gotten
up early in the morning to do some aggat haunting
on the beach and I got down to the water
and I heard a howl from up the beach. They
(40:28):
and it was a good long eight maybe a ten
second howl, so they were they were in the area
as well. I mean, they're just you know, again, you
have to be kind of vigilant when you go out
in the woods. Always wondered, you know, Dad always talked
to us about watching for bear up there, but now
(40:49):
you got to watch for sasquatch as well. But when
you're when you're looking dead on that, when you see
those animals, those beings looking back at you, I can
guarantee you probably just going to stand there and gog
at them because you're just not your brain doesn't quite
(41:12):
grasp the idea that they're real. But once you see them,
and once you start having experiences and what you once
you know what to look for and what to listen
for when you go out in the woods, you know,
you're you're walking down the woods and all of a
sudden it becomes super quiet. No no bugs, no birds, nothing.
(41:34):
You start looking around, start looking for signs that that
you know. Somebody said, well, if you see scratches eight
feet up on a tree, typically that is going to
be a sasquatch going to be doing that, unless it
rarely does a bear stand up and hit eight feet up.
They'll hit about six feet up when they When they
(41:55):
do that, you look for different things in the in
the world. It was for broken branches, you know, just
different things that that would signify there's something in the area,
how how fresh the branches are broken. We found trees
upside down, jammed into the ground and rootsticking up now
(42:19):
and not any where. Somebody had dug up and planted
these trees upside down. These things were jabbed into the ground.
When we saw the one that I had the video
of it was it was clear as day. It was
a cold day, but it was still. You know, you
could you could hear things in the forest. You get
(42:43):
up to that you got to be bold enough to say, okay,
I see something, be cautious enough to go hike into
to see what you saw. If you saw a tree
standing up or was it an actual sasquatch, you know
that the whole thing is is that sasquatch they'll move.
A tree doesn't, a stump does not. So some people,
(43:07):
you know, the biggest thing, we're blob squatches that were
out there. People take blob squatches. Well, the cameras have
evolved enough that you actually have very good camera pictures
now that are realistic. I mean, you have got ai
that that people are doing. And then you have the
(43:27):
purists that are taking these pictures. When I was up,
I have a cabin up mid Michigan, mid upper Michigan
on one of the rivers up there. We were sitting
out with our next door neighbor. This was about two
years ago, sitting with my next door neighbor out at
(43:48):
the fire pit, and we heard a howl at the
end of the driveway and my wife says, did you
hear that? And I said, yeah, yeah, we heard that.
Went started recording. We have recording equipment, digital recorders that
we use. About five six different ones. Started recording and
(44:10):
we do have the recordings of that as well. In
two thousand and five when I had my first bona
fide saying he was right there. Two thousand and seven
when he was right there in front of me. I
had started doing recordings every night and I have I
(44:30):
would say, roughly eleven thousand hours of recordings, of which
I probably have a good thousand hours of howls, wood knocks.
We set a recorder out on a spot in northern
Lower Michigan and in the middle of the woods, and
it sounded like a construction going on. When we listened
(44:53):
to it, you could hear the wood being moved around
and placed, and it was it was interesting to say, well,
this is in the middle of the night. Why am
I hearing these these trees being moved around and stuff,
and go in the next day and you've got teepees,
and you've got x's, and you've got different things that
(45:18):
weren't there the day before. Not to mention footprints that
are are aware between sixteen and eighteen inches long, and
you can see them in the sand in the mud.
You can see the progress of them doing stuff. I
put together a teepee, if you will, of branches that
(45:41):
I could pick up, and my fellow researcher went in
the next day and said, well, you put that up
at night last night, just before night. And I came
back in the next day. That's been pushed down, and
they erected a rather larger one up next to it.
(46:02):
Not the same construction, but you know, they pushed yours down.
It's all pushed down. So something got up there and
pushed it down, made it fall down. And yet you
have these things that you see that when you're when
you're up in the woods that you just are not right,
(46:23):
Like if you're looking at a channel in a tree
that maybe it's looking out at you. It just it's
doesn't move, but you feel that there's something watching you.
You know, if you if you're I went out with
my friend out out of TC and we were up
(46:44):
hiking and I was telling them. I said, look, you've
got to be hyper vigilant of what you're seeing. And
I stopped and I looked, and I could look through
these trees. There was an open area in the tree.
There was a big apple tree in front of us,
and then uh like junipers, a row of junipers, and
there was some maple trees. And I stopped and I looked,
(47:06):
and he says, what are you doing? I said, I
need you to come over here. Come over here, and
he got in front of me and I pushed him
slowly over until he could look straight through. And there
was a pair of eyes looking back at us. He says,
is that what I think it is? I said, yep,
(47:26):
that's exactly what you think it is. He says, that's
not that far away. I said, nope, nope, not that
he's watching us. But you could see right through this tunnel,
if you will, to this eyes looking back at us,
and it was a dark figure and it was about
seven feet off the ground and this hole was and
(47:47):
we were looking straight through and I said, come on,
let's let's go for let's go over here, and we
walked around the tree and by the time we got
back to that spot, we looked through and we could
see the hole all the way through where we were standing,
and there was nothing there. There wasn't a stump, there
wasn't anything. It was too it was just and we
(48:09):
looked down and started looking at the ground, and the
ground it had been disturbed like something had been standing there.
And we got over to the sandy part and you
could actually see an outline of a foot and we
take pictures, pull out the measuring tape and take pictures
of something that's sixteen feet by almost seven feet or
(48:31):
seven inches whye you know, sixteen inches by seven inches
why and flat? And you could see the toes dig
into the ground where it took off running. And then
you're walking through there going this is a perfect trail,
and it's not a human trail. This is just a
game trail through the area that is big enough that
(48:53):
if we can walk through it. But it's definitely a
game trail. You find deer prints down there, you find
the turkey prints and different things up there, but you
find the footprints following these deer prints, and these are
big footprints I'm a size twelve shoe and it's still
(49:15):
bigger than my foot. And you have to use reference,
you know, use a tape measure. If you don't have
a tape measure, use something that is reference. Put a
dollar bill down to show the size of the footprint.
Dollar bill is approximately five six inches long. If you
know what the size is when you're comparing it. You
(49:37):
look for these physical evidence, so you know, I collect
sound evidence, I collect physical evidence. We find hairs and
we take a look at the hairs. I have a
microscope in the truck. I pull out, look at the microscope,
put it out of the microscope. If it's an actual follicle,
it'll look different than what a plant fiber will look like.
(50:00):
You just have to understand that of what you're looking
at under the Under the microscope, we have found toughs
of hair and thinking, well, that's that's kind of strange
tough of hair. It's kind of a softer fur. And
then it turns out it's it's you know, it's a
(50:20):
softer fur, but it's not a animal that you know,
and you have to have had contacts in and around
the area to have that stuff. Taking a look at
we were collecting feces in Washington State, UH and sending
them out to a lab and finding out that they
the feces that we were sending out had an asiatic
(50:45):
DNA area that was only synonymous for for primates in Asia. Now,
the theory goes is that the sasquats were actually came
across the land bridge up in Alaska and came down
through the Pacific Northwest and moved east and sege. But
(51:07):
if you have feces that is coiled up, you know,
two or three feet long if you stretched it out
and the size of a pop can, the wide wideness
of a pop can, typically that's not going to be
a bear. Bear is going to leave a pile. There's
no animals out there that will leave feces out there
(51:27):
for you. In this we sent samples out to have
it DNA tested, and you can find the DNA testing
sites around. Most of the time it was coming in
as inconclusive, but it was also they had the asiatic
strain in the feces DNA strain that was only found
(51:50):
in Asia. So again that was that was a telltale
sign that that was something that for a long time
still had the strain from that and then finding the
hair samples and the follicles and find the DNA. A
lot of the times that stuff was sent in you
(52:11):
always had problems with making sure that you had the
root on the follicle for testing on the DNA and
being able to get some of that stuff. Now, I'm
not a scientist. I just know that what we were
doing for collecting these specimens and trying to understand these
(52:33):
animals and what they do. Now they're an animal. Don't
feed them, please, don't feed them. Don't do any type
of food gifting. If you step, they get angry and
things happen, and bad things can happen. If you're going
to observe. I know that I haven't. On my property
(52:56):
up north, we observe, we listen, We do not gift,
We do not leave. Now, you can leave toys out
if you want to, but that's sort of gifting. If
you don't continue to do that, that could be considered
bad and they'll come after, especially if it's food. They'll say,
(53:17):
why didn't you leave me an apple? Why did you know?
Where's my where's my meat? Where's whatever? They've become domesticated,
just like bears do, and they can come in and
things can get ugly. But the biggest thing is just
keep in your mind what is going to be out
in the woods. If you look out into the woods
(53:40):
and you see something move out of your side of
your vision, take a look and look at that and
just just look at it. I'm sure that I've walked
past many a sasquatch in the area and not even
know that they're right there. They do have a distinct
smell that they have. Sometimes they'll just really be really
(54:04):
futrid run into that. But to see a sasquatch and
to react to me is you just got to step back.
And if they get aggressive, you know they if they
get aggressive, then you've got to really step back. Don't
(54:27):
run because then your prey. But you have to step
back and just you know, acknowledge them. Don't get that close.
You know, if you're if you're going to be going
into the woods, take somebody with you. Not a lot
of people. I mean, you can go by yourself, but
make sure you're on designated trails that there are other
(54:49):
people around with you. But if you're going to go
in the woods, always make sure you've got one other
person with you, and take a take a phone with you.
You can get some good pictures on your phone. Document
document everything. Ask the five w's, well, where, when, why,
(55:10):
and who who's with me? Who can collaborate? You know,
you'll I've come across them in the in the woods.
I've come across them on the roads. I've come across
them and uh, in the swamp areas. But you just
have to watch for them. It's just amazing to investigate now,
(55:31):
to go and say, Okay, I believe the real I've
had my experiences, and I've got the recordings, I've got
the video evidence. You know. I do have DNA reports
that they've they've given us. I've checked out, you know,
to see what other people have come across, not to mention,
(55:55):
you know, other reports in the area. I've done my
research where they will be and in certain areas. Some
people they say, well, they they hybernate in a certain area.
I don't. I think they stay awake all year long.
Other ones will say they commute from one area up
(56:17):
just like the just like birds do, flying north for
the summer and south for the winter. I don't. I
don't know if they do that or not either, but
I do know that I've had experiences in the middle
of the winter up north. I've had experiences down in
Detroit area outside of Detroit, not in Detroit, but some
(56:39):
of the woods and areas in there. And it's interesting
to investigate and learn about what people have experienced because
it changes you. It changes everything. Like I said, it
took me a year to go back in the woods
by myself. Again, I tried to go back to the
woods and I was stood next to my truck in
(57:04):
the woods because I'd rather be able to jump in
the truck and take off out of there over being
out in the woods where you know you're in the
open there. So just about doesmit for this hour.
