Speaker 1 (00:06):
Hello, and welcome back to Pit Pod, featuring live improvised
shows from the Peak Improv Theater in Colorado Springs, Colorado,
and I am once again joined by a brilliantly talented improviser,
a wonderful human being, and the definition of the pillar
of a community. Yeah, I'm going with that. It's Megan Hide.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Oh my goodness, I'm blushing and.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Look you're on a podcast so no one can tell.
Thanks for being back here in the studio. Megan, It's
so good to see you.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Thanks for having me back.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
How are you doing today?

Speaker 2 (00:41):
I'm doing great.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
This is, of course Laughter and Legends, the Peak Improv
Theater's improvised Dungeons and Dragons show, where we swap the
crunchy combat for improv games played on stage. Meghan, you
play a dragon born Bard in this show. How did
you come up with that character? And what's it been
like performing in Laughter and Legends?

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Oh? How did I come up with that character? They
gave me a list of nice things that I could
be and I was like, ooh, dragon born, that looks fun,
that sounds cool for it and obviously barred. I mean
I have to be a bard because I think in
real life. I'm actually a bard. Yeah, oh totally you are.

(01:25):
You are a bard.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
I love the moments in the shows as well, where
it's like taking that beat for your character to have
a spotlight and a song in order to advance the story.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
M yep, yep. They like to do that.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
That's fantastic.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
I'm not what you would call a Dungeon and Dragons expert, sure,
so I always tell them, like, when you're explaining this stuff,
pretend you're talking to a child, a small child, like
a toddler, really, because that's I did. I did a
different role playing game for a couple of years based

(02:01):
on the Firefly universe, so I'm familiar with Oh nice, Yeah,
that was really fun. That was back at my theater
in California. I bet. Yeah, I'm less familiar with Dungeons
and Dragons.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Well, look, when you're up there on the stage, you
can't tell you're rolling. You're rolling the dice like how
people in these games are supposed to roll dice.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
All right, I'm glad I'm not rolling the dice wrong.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
You almost can't. Yeah, and laughter in Legends, such a
such a fun show, such a I feel like it's
the most accessible of the peak Improfiata shows. It's it's
got like optional audience participation at a few different levels,
where it can be as simple as like shouting out
and cheering with the crowd and getting involved, or even

(02:45):
going up on stage and getting involved with some pretty
pretty entry level improv games.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Yeah, a lot of people really like that. I think
that's why a lot of people come to the show,
and we get it. We get a different audience base
at this one. I mean, obviously we have people who
are regulars who like to come to all the shows,
but then we get I feel like that one attracts
an additional crowd and people who like to dress up
and like to do role playing games, and so I
love that aspect of this one.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Yeah, totally. It's a very warm and welcoming vibe. I
think like Dungeons and Dragons, people are like that, very like, hey,
let's form a friend group, let's get together and play
some games.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Very community oriented.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Totally totally, And as this episode releases, there is a
new Laughter and Legends show live this Friday, April twenty fifth.
There is, yes that is indeed, where can listeners go
to for tickets to be part of the live experience.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Peek improv dot com. Yes, that website the one stop
shop for all of our information and tickets.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
I keep hearing about it.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
I should visit it sometimes. Yeah, get it up, put
it on your to do list.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Yeaheah, Yeah, I'll get around to it. It's not like
it's bookmarked or anything. And if you're listening to this
podcast in the future, pretty much the fourth Friday of
every month, there's a Laughter and Legends show. So come along,
hang out, be part of the rowdy crowd that is
getting rowdier.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
And know that we never force anybody to participate. Yes,
I think a lot of people they hear about an
improv show. At least for me, before I got into improv,
I got a little nervous because if you go, sometimes
you'll go to a stand up show and the comedian
will like heckle the audience, and there's none of that
in improv. It's a very supportive, safe environment. If you go,

(04:34):
you have the option of shouting things out, You have
the option of getting on stage with us at Laughter
and Legends, or you have the option of sitting there
quietly and just enjoying the show. And nobody's ever gonna
shame you for not participating.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Yeah, it's such a beautiful atmosphere where you can get
involved at the level that you would like to get
involved in exactly. Yeah, it's great. And there's a new
round of improv classes starting in May coming up pretty soon.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Yes, there is. We have beginning classes, Intermediate, Advanced, another
musical class stand up classes as class if.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
You want to learn how to heckle audience.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Casey teaches the most unique stand up class. He really
helps people to find their voice, their style, but he's
also teaching an elevated form of stand up. Like, yeah,
you go to an open mic with amateur comedians and
it's just dick joke after dick joke. Yeah, And I
mean I appreciate a good dick joke every now and then,

(05:36):
but when that's all you hear, it gets old and
it's low hanging fruit and it seems too easy. And
I love how Casey teaches his classes in a way
that like calls people to think a little deeper, go
you know, it's still funny. And sometimes those punchlines he'll encourage,

(05:57):
like a really just dumb punchline, but it's really funny,
but it's also he teaches it in a way that
just feels safe to everybody. Yes, and you know, we
can be funny and kind. And that's what I love
about improv, and it's what I love about the way
Casey teaches his classes. He's not encouraging people to do
any racist jokes or you know, misogynistic jokes. He's there

(06:21):
to teach you to be a really smart comedian. Yes,
and that's why I love that guy. Yeah, one of
the many reasons I love that guy.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
So many reasons we love Casey. Yeah, he's a fantastic teacher.
And just the end of the eight week course, the
place that people are at and the comedy that they're
able to perform compared to say someone who's just doing
an open mic without any training and it's only eight weeks,
that's a relatively short amount of time. Yeah, and they
end up with some fantastic material.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
I was surprised by myself because I didn't think I
could do it. Yeah, you were great, and I yeah,
six weeks in, I was like, that's when it clicked
for so after the fifth week, I was like, I'm
not going to do this showcase I'm not good. And
then six weeks in and I was like, oh, I
don't know what happened here, but I think I could
do this. And that's that's what he does for you.

(07:12):
He's such a great teacher and he can really I mean,
if you have an interest in it, then you can
absolutely do it.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Yeah, definitely. Same thing with improv, Yes, absolutely peak improv
dot com for information on all the classes that are
about to start. Get involved. All right, let's let's get
to this month's Quest for Laughter and Legends.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
The guest for this episode was Elise Neil, who is
Josh's daughter Josh Neil, who is on Stick Horses, Tune Titans,
Laughter and Legends. You'll have heard Josh on this on
this podcast before. He's brilliant, but with Elise's performance here,
he'd better watch out to be honest.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Oh yeah, she is phenomenal. She used to come to
my drop ins, yeah, when she was much younger, and
because I was so hosting droppings before we even opened
the theater, I mean anywhere we could hold drop in,
so anybody that would host us, we would do them
there and she would come with Josh and they would
play together. And that was before he even joined the team.
They were doing those together. Yeah, it was really sweet.

(08:12):
And Josh was supposed to be on this episode but
he was sick. I was also supposed to be on
this episode, but I was injured so we had to Yeah. Yeah,
and they did an amazing job.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
Yeah, it's it's fantastic and it's a fantastic quest. So
with that, please enjoy this journey into the fee wild.

Speaker 4 (08:44):
Guys, so much runing, Welcome to laughter and legends.

Speaker 5 (08:48):
Make some those new luck.

Speaker 6 (08:49):
Don't if this is your first time in the PJ
prov theater, make some noise for me climbing out.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
Yes, if you've been here and you're tired of this
makes him noise the sound of tired old adults and
one person saying hussah, that's what I That's what I
like about this show. You guys ready to see some
D and D. If this one kid is very excited,

(09:24):
I think you can. If everyone can match his energy,
I think we can start the show.

Speaker 5 (09:29):
Are you guys ready to see something you do?

Speaker 4 (09:33):
Hey? Yeah, oh yeah, I should say it's not a
family friendly show. You guys know about it. It's okay, okay,
just letting you know. I'm pretty sure Casey's wearing a neglige.
All right, So without further ado, let's get that heroic
music back. We're gonna meet our players tonight. So has

(09:58):
very sticky fingers. Who what else is sticky?

Speaker 5 (10:01):
Please give it up for her?

Speaker 4 (10:02):
Room up? Oh man, she is a sorcerer. You would
say she's started to hang out with I like to
say she's an eldrich class.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
Give it up for a lead.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
And he's died and reborn as a baby, grew up
as a teenager, and died again for being back and
slept and now he's back. I think he's his own
mom did it up and facing in front of it.

Speaker 5 (10:42):
Let's fixing the boot clip. I wasn't gonna say anything.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
I'm done the master.

Speaker 5 (10:48):
I need to fill ned clap for me.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
I don't bring it up for Bobby as a booths
playing us. With that, we will begin our adventure. So, heroes,
you guys have been been on the road, been camping
for a long time together, working together as a party.

Speaker 5 (11:09):
We'll meet your characters soon enough.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
As you wake up in the morning, sun rises on
your camp, but you've yet to have your coffee, Get
to have your breakfast. You're groggy, and you've decided You've
made your camp at the edge of the Sword Coast,
on a cliff two hundred and fifty feet above like spiked,

(11:34):
jagged rocks pointing out of the ocean for defensive purposes.

Speaker 5 (11:38):
Very smart of you.

Speaker 4 (11:39):
But you wake up this morning and you find yourself
surrounded on three sides by an army of cobalts, small
little lizard guys. They're holding sharpened sticks with feathers on
the end. They're wearing the bone necklaces of their enemies,
and they're chittering and chattering and pointing their sticks at you.

(12:00):
And this is quite the rude awakening. And then, finally,
as you see them don't know what's happening, one bigger
buffer cobalt, who's like four foot two, parts through two
of the small little lizards, and he steps up.

Speaker 7 (12:17):
And says, well, well, well, well have we here? So
I trespassers on a cobbold. I don't know how to
say it, my own species with this accent cold bald.

Speaker 5 (12:33):
We're cold bal We'll go with that.

Speaker 4 (12:35):
Now. I'm not me you trespassing here on our lands
and were going to kill you, but we Cobalts is
a sensitive people, sensitive people of small reptilian little tiny guys,
and we want to know your story before we kill you,
so that we can tell you and your exploits and

(12:57):
your name to our children and children's children, and then
we will stab you with little sticks. So if you
would not mine, tell us your names, and you're like
class and whole general vibe backstory lord that anyone would
need to know. Imagine, we have no idea who are all?

Speaker 5 (13:20):
Yes, you're trespassing on our land.

Speaker 8 (13:24):
Well, well, I guess i'll go first. My name is
Starby Blue. I'm a haffling rogue and I've been spending
some time amongst pirates, but I found myself on these
coasts with these strange friends, let's say friends, Yes.

Speaker 5 (13:46):
Oka, little little suspicials.

Speaker 7 (13:50):
I would say, I have no regret about.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
I'd be late, very good to meet you, and we
will kill you soon. What about what about you?

Speaker 9 (14:10):
With the point that is very rid of you to say,
I'm so sorry, I don't call you little lizard man,
But anyway, I'm Mary, I'm Eusk, I'm a sorcerer of

(14:30):
an origin.

Speaker 10 (14:35):
And this don't ask what it is.

Speaker 9 (14:37):
And also if you ask if it has a human
soul chapter, then I'm not going to answer you.

Speaker 5 (14:44):
I will lack the record to show holding up a fix.

Speaker 4 (14:49):
We know what she is. We lizard people.

Speaker 5 (14:52):
We said that about ourselves.

Speaker 4 (14:54):
I fine, we weak, Thank you very and what about you,
my dams?

Speaker 11 (15:03):
Okay, I shouldn't start drinking now, all right. I'm mommy
duncle puff. I was the mommy of drunken duncle puff.
And yeah, your friend drunken mommy, did I let him die?
He's not a very kind man, very handsome, very handsome,

(15:24):
but not very kind.

Speaker 5 (15:26):
I'm very much the same. I get a little liquor
in me.

Speaker 11 (15:29):
I'm always very uh promiscuous, nothing wrong with it.

Speaker 5 (15:35):
I'm a wizard.

Speaker 11 (15:37):
And anytime that I anytime that you call me mommy my,
my powers are much more powerful.

Speaker 5 (15:47):
So I'm looking for you to call me mommy a lot.

Speaker 4 (15:52):
This is not a good time to kill you.

Speaker 5 (15:55):
You got some stuff to figure out.

Speaker 8 (15:58):
Yeah, yeah, it's not a good.

Speaker 5 (16:00):
Honestly, the worst time. My son's dead. I gotta I
gotta avenge his death.

Speaker 8 (16:05):
Yeah, I got things to do.

Speaker 4 (16:07):
Of course, of course we're cobalts. I mean, I don't
know about you all, but I need trespassive. I think
we shall kill them, right, right, Well, we outnumber you
quite a bit, so we are democratic reptilians. What if
I thought you were sexy, that would hurt your case.

Speaker 10 (16:28):
Okay, you're really ugly.

Speaker 5 (16:32):
Ow, that's not how our society function.

Speaker 8 (16:37):
What if I really respect your culture and I would
love to join a little that's definitely not it.

Speaker 5 (16:45):
Yeah, we're all going to join. Let's all join the cobalts.

Speaker 8 (16:48):
Can you ask my story?

Speaker 4 (16:51):
There's no time for that. This accent. She's fitting to
the edge of the cliffs with you, and the cob
start to encroach on you, pointing their sticks to you.
Do you guys want to engage with them? Or there
is that two hundred and fifty foot drop onto the spikes,
which would most certainly be lethal.

Speaker 5 (17:12):
But what do you guys want to do?

Speaker 8 (17:14):
Don't make me use this John.

Speaker 12 (17:15):
Does anyone have a fly spell?

Speaker 13 (17:18):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (17:18):
I probably do.

Speaker 11 (17:19):
So you gotta call me mommy so I can use
it on main way. I can use this mummy work.
I have featherfall. I have featherfall. You just gotta both
chance Mommy at me. I have to say, I gotta
really feel it like I at the same.

Speaker 8 (17:38):
Time, you got this man right? What did you say?

Speaker 14 (17:44):
I said, fine, okay.

Speaker 5 (17:47):
One t ma, do you do anything.

Speaker 15 (17:53):
I don't feel it. I gotta really truly feel it. Also,
I'll still do it. We're gonna jump off this cliff
and I'll use feather fall.

Speaker 8 (18:04):
I love flying, all right.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
The three of you hold hands and jump off the cliff. Yeah,
hold hands, and as you fall, you start to drift down.
With the power of drunken what's your name, I'm Mommy,
just Molly, Uncle, Mommy Juncle. Puff's power creates a developing,

(18:28):
warm blanket of feathers. You get to drift down. The
cursing of cobalts at the top of the cliff drifts
further away, but as you fall, a silvery purple portal
opens beneath your feet, and you find yourself drifting through
it cool. As you land, you realize that the landscape

(18:51):
around you is not a jagged cliff side, an ocean,
or an army of weird lizard guys, but instead a
beautiful purple forest. You see dragonflies humming around, you, see
an eerie purple mist drifting through the air, and just

(19:11):
the twinkling of of harp music.

Speaker 5 (19:13):
Playing in the background.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
As you find yourself in what you know to be
the fay Wild.

Speaker 8 (19:22):
It is home. Oh my gosh, is this you live?
I mean, huh you live here? No, my mistake.

Speaker 5 (19:33):
This is my first time here. I'm very curious.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
Same.

Speaker 5 (19:37):
Yeah, it's like the time I took acid.

Speaker 11 (19:43):
That kid should not know what that means.

Speaker 8 (19:46):
Everyone knows acids and basses.

Speaker 4 (19:55):
Yes, fay Wild my favorite band. You hear from a
above you a nasal voice. I think it's black Dragons,
then breen acid.

Speaker 10 (20:10):
I kind of dragon breeds bases.

Speaker 4 (20:14):
Yeah, answer, Yeah, I guess it would probably be like
a basic Can you guys can see me?

Speaker 10 (20:28):
Right?

Speaker 3 (20:28):
No?

Speaker 5 (20:29):
Come down again't can? I can?

Speaker 12 (20:33):
I roll investigate.

Speaker 10 (20:38):
Perceived?

Speaker 5 (20:39):
I want to perceive.

Speaker 8 (20:40):
I got seven one, I got two.

Speaker 4 (20:47):
The disembodied voice calls down to you from above the
leaves and a canopy. He says, Uh, I'm tramped up
here and I'm in a nut. You can't see me,
but my name is jaer is Uh.

Speaker 5 (21:01):
Can you guys like cut me down?

Speaker 4 (21:03):
Or something?

Speaker 8 (21:05):
That depends?

Speaker 12 (21:06):
How much gold do you have in your pocket?

Speaker 5 (21:09):
Yeah, Jara's give us all you got.

Speaker 4 (21:12):
Jeez, I'm trapped.

Speaker 5 (21:13):
You're a little thing, well just like you guys, Okay.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
I don't I'm a satyr. I don't have pants, I
have goat legs. I don't carry gold on me. I
can give you wisdom or pan flute songs.

Speaker 5 (21:31):
Perfect. I love being paid in pan flute songs.

Speaker 12 (21:35):
Whatever fights your back?

Speaker 8 (21:37):
Sure, what do you got?

Speaker 5 (21:40):
What do you got going? You're a sorcerer? What do
you got?

Speaker 8 (21:48):
Could I talk and use my dextrous hands and my
dagger to cut Jerry's open?

Speaker 5 (21:57):
Well, I'm open.

Speaker 10 (22:00):
I want to see what's in.

Speaker 4 (22:00):
An open I'm filled with acid, just a normal and
that of.

Speaker 5 (22:06):
Acid a lot. Yeah, yeah, we're.

Speaker 4 (22:10):
All if you think about it, we're all filled.

Speaker 5 (22:14):
A right class.

Speaker 10 (22:15):
I would you like console night bass?

Speaker 8 (22:18):
Need to do acrobatics? Okay, come on, here we go.

Speaker 4 (22:23):
We got a twenty two nice Sorry, yeah you freaking
backflip up there you swing like do like a trapeez
like one eighty like around the branches and scramble up
and you can now see up in the canopy here.
Jerrisis is in fact a satyr or like a fawn,
a half man, half goat, and he's sort of tucked
into what looks like a silver net, and he's sort

(22:46):
of constrained there.

Speaker 5 (22:48):
Cut me down. I'm such a weemy.

Speaker 8 (22:52):
I have a short sword. Do I need to actually
rolled to catch you out?

Speaker 16 (22:56):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (22:57):
Yeah, yeah, rolling it.

Speaker 8 (23:01):
I've got thirty forget what I add to that when
it comes?

Speaker 5 (23:06):
Is it any dexterity plus proficiency?

Speaker 17 (23:09):
Oh?

Speaker 8 (23:09):
Dexterity? Okay, so then that is actually an eighteene.

Speaker 5 (23:14):
Lovely And you're trying to cut the net?

Speaker 8 (23:16):
Yeah, I just want him to fall straight down looks.

Speaker 4 (23:19):
Yeah, you definitely swing your sword at the top part
of the net where there's space. It gives way and
the satyr falls.

Speaker 5 (23:27):
And are you directly under him?

Speaker 11 (23:30):
I am directly under him, but I'm about to feather
fall him. But he's gonna call me mommy on the
way down.

Speaker 12 (23:39):
Give me persuasion, Janius calid.

Speaker 5 (23:46):
Oh not twenty what.

Speaker 4 (23:50):
Twenties?

Speaker 5 (23:51):
A nice? Yeah?

Speaker 18 (23:52):
You?

Speaker 4 (23:53):
What do you say to him to get him to
call you mommy?

Speaker 5 (23:55):
I guess.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
Be not twenty good.

Speaker 11 (24:03):
I don't feel like I gotta say anything other than
call me mommy?

Speaker 5 (24:06):
All right, but do it good though you're moving your
mouth alone.

Speaker 19 (24:18):
I'm trying to say something to you sweeping and falling
call me mommy?

Speaker 5 (24:25):
Perfect? Do you catch no? What an idiot spender than
both of you guys are gonna take five fault damage.
He falls right on you.

Speaker 11 (24:40):
Oh, all right, that's fine.

Speaker 5 (24:47):
I've been saying mommy a lot.

Speaker 11 (24:49):
I'm supposed to take damage when I say mommy, Oh,
is that.

Speaker 20 (24:53):
Mart to talk about to We made this role last week.
He didn't want me saying mommy. So I'm s here.
It's okay. Here we go two all.

Speaker 4 (25:03):
Right, in addition to the other five. So seven damage total,
seven damage sold. Yeah, I'll give you a freebie on
the first one. Okay, all right, sound with jaris now
splayed out on top of you. He scampers back to
his feet, dusts himself off.

Speaker 5 (25:21):
I guess.

Speaker 4 (25:23):
You guys are immute to the fide wild Well yes, yeah,
what did.

Speaker 5 (25:28):
You say like that?

Speaker 4 (25:31):
Because I'm very honest, I give me deception check.

Speaker 5 (25:40):
For no reason.

Speaker 8 (25:41):
I want to see if I can proceed twenty three.

Speaker 10 (25:44):
Actually it's not twenty so oh just.

Speaker 4 (25:47):
Get led with that, all right, ya, Jars? Like sorry,
I asked.

Speaker 10 (25:52):
Dang, never tell me again.

Speaker 5 (25:54):
Okay, I will.

Speaker 4 (25:56):
Alright, Look, I'm happy to help me that since you
got me out of the net and everything. I would
have been nice to be caught or something.

Speaker 8 (26:04):
But you know, they guys can be joesus touch me
to has to be this desperate, your.

Speaker 5 (26:16):
Very lovely woman, Thank you, you're welcome.

Speaker 8 (26:21):
That wasn't hurting.

Speaker 5 (26:25):
You're so bad at this.

Speaker 4 (26:27):
Look you guys, if you want to get out of
the fairy while, you're gonna need to appease Oberon. He's
like the King and the fairies, so he's gonna have
you do like a bunch of trials and stuff, and
it's gonna be annoying.

Speaker 12 (26:44):
Annoying as your voice.

Speaker 8 (26:45):
No, nothing can be that annoying. You're right, But look again.

Speaker 4 (26:53):
Since you free me, I'll i'll be honest like you guys.
There's lots of tricks and traps here in the faywhiles
like pretty dangerous. Okay, from this clearing though, you can
head out in any of the four cardinal directions. There's
signs marking area and each one is one of Obron's trials,
and I'm sure they'll be less annoying than me.

Speaker 10 (27:17):
I'm certain.

Speaker 12 (27:19):
Damn dudes, do you have any bonds for us? A trinket?

Speaker 3 (27:26):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (27:27):
Hell yeah, I can play you a pan flute song.

Speaker 8 (27:31):
Will it give me some sort of inspiration?

Speaker 21 (27:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (27:38):
Can I hear me with a song? Do you got
any healing songs? No, I suck? Can you do? Jeris?

Speaker 14 (27:47):
We hate much?

Speaker 5 (27:49):
I hope you don't show back up in this at all.
At any point, I was.

Speaker 4 (27:55):
Gonna be integral to the plas.

Speaker 5 (28:00):
Gonna leave you here?

Speaker 17 (28:01):
Is that?

Speaker 4 (28:01):
Okay?

Speaker 11 (28:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (28:02):
Can you play some pan fluke music as we walk away?

Speaker 10 (28:05):
Okay, sadly with melancholy.

Speaker 12 (28:09):
Bye, Jeris get wrecked.

Speaker 4 (28:14):
You guys walk away from Jerris as he cried, don't
fund yourself Jeris.

Speaker 5 (28:23):
All right.

Speaker 18 (28:23):
So you guys find yourselves walking through the clearing, and
you come across four signs, just as Jari's described in
the Cardinal Directions, each a sign written in a strange language.

Speaker 4 (28:36):
I don't read, do.

Speaker 5 (28:39):
You guys, got any?

Speaker 12 (28:42):
I can't read Sylva.

Speaker 10 (28:43):
That's what they.

Speaker 3 (28:46):
Go out.

Speaker 8 (28:47):
It's okay, we do.

Speaker 5 (28:49):
Do you ever think?

Speaker 4 (28:56):
All right? You purchased you read sylvan or what are
you talking about? Well, you recognize you don't have to
sell them, but you recognize that the signs each read
a different word. The one to the east reads the hunt,
the one to the south the song, the one to
the north the race, and the one to the west

(29:17):
the drink.

Speaker 5 (29:18):
I hope one of those says the drink, My drink's
getting really low.

Speaker 4 (29:24):
You want some mud.

Speaker 5 (29:26):
Because an alcoholic, you know, I don't want that.

Speaker 8 (29:30):
I saw her scoop it up in her hands and
just put it in.

Speaker 12 (29:34):
A cup from the ground. It's really mud.

Speaker 11 (29:38):
It's creepy that she does that, drinks mud and doesn't
blink at all.

Speaker 12 (29:43):
You know, I don't judge you for drinking alcohol.

Speaker 10 (29:46):
Yeah, what's your problem.

Speaker 12 (29:49):
Yourself?

Speaker 5 (29:50):
From the long line of drunken duncle puff, so.

Speaker 8 (29:54):
Is drinker and I like money anyway.

Speaker 10 (30:03):
I'm getting the feeling that one of the signs. I'm
just getting a feeling. I can't I'm getting a feeling.

Speaker 4 (30:08):
Yeah, whenever says the hunt.

Speaker 5 (30:10):
Okay, the the hunts of the song, the race and
the drink.

Speaker 15 (30:15):
Yeah wait wait wait wait wait, said okay.

Speaker 5 (30:21):
Perfect.

Speaker 11 (30:25):
I mean I'm partial for the drink obviously, but I'm
down for the hunt.

Speaker 5 (30:30):
Let's go kill yeah, oh ray, yeah hunt?

Speaker 4 (30:35):
All right? Perfect. You guys follow the sign for the hunt,
and you walk through sort of a tunnel corridor of trees,
and it leads into a beautiful clearing. These sunbeams break
through the purple branches, and the light seems to dance
and you see in this clearing is a large rock.

(30:55):
The very center. Huge stone towers above you thirty feet tall.

Speaker 11 (31:01):
Wow, the light is really doing the whip in the nane.

Speaker 5 (31:04):
Right, it's dancing.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
Somebody will be a nature or animal handling.

Speaker 5 (31:14):
Check here real quick nature?

Speaker 8 (31:16):
Huh, I go seven nature, fifteen Nature, I go no twenty.

Speaker 4 (31:23):
All right, you are.

Speaker 10 (31:25):
Like I know this place, except I don't.

Speaker 4 (31:27):
A few tents as you walk into the clearing, you
stop everyone and you hold your breath. You see just
past the rock a beautiful shimmering silver antler poke out,
and you know this to be an ethereal Elk. As
it slowly steps out from behind the rock, everyone's breath.

Speaker 5 (31:51):
Is held and it looks at you chewing grass.

Speaker 12 (32:00):
It's okay, into my soul.

Speaker 5 (32:02):
It's so cool.

Speaker 10 (32:03):
It's majestic.

Speaker 11 (32:04):
Right, I like watching an Eka.

Speaker 10 (32:09):
We're supposed to be going.

Speaker 5 (32:11):
We're holding our breaths. Can you tell us what the
brain hair?

Speaker 22 (32:16):
Please?

Speaker 4 (32:16):
Lungs as you guys inhale wrapping, he turns its head
up at you and chops off behind the boulder, and it's.

Speaker 8 (32:28):
Gone, where's that thing?

Speaker 13 (32:31):
Oh yeah, we didn't go through the hont door or whatever.

Speaker 5 (32:34):
Yeah, yeah, that makes sense.

Speaker 4 (32:36):
Did you guys want me to explore?

Speaker 8 (32:41):
Keep walk off?

Speaker 5 (32:42):
Terris, keep raped?

Speaker 10 (32:44):
Where do you come from?

Speaker 4 (32:46):
Sorry, I don't have any friends. We did it.

Speaker 5 (32:51):
I'm no why he walks off?

Speaker 4 (32:56):
He steps another trap and gets slung up into the branch.

Speaker 8 (33:00):
But hey, god, someone else's problem. Okay, let's get me
that really cool? Heeeal fount.

Speaker 5 (33:10):
Yeah, let's go find it. Let's follow the tracks. Can
I look around for tracks? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (33:15):
Go ahead, give me a survival or nature.

Speaker 8 (33:20):
I got to dirty twenty, I got a nine.

Speaker 4 (33:24):
Okay, great Derby. You take a look on the ground.
You see the Elks tracks. They lead curving around the rock.
As you slowly start to follow them, you come back
around the other side of the rock. No, dear, the
tracks seem to be going around still in front of you.

Speaker 8 (33:42):
Can I'm very good at the gate.

Speaker 4 (33:44):
Sure, I'm investigating seventeen Okay, which I did not, that's twenty.

Speaker 5 (33:56):
I'm so clever with someone that's been here before, I am.

Speaker 8 (34:00):
I get it.

Speaker 5 (34:01):
But she's obviously large, she doesn't bla, she's obviously be bikes.

Speaker 14 (34:05):
You're tidy, very honest.

Speaker 5 (34:08):
Okay, I get it. I get it.

Speaker 4 (34:10):
I'm living in this world that I think she's lying
between both of you guys. Looking at you, you can
see that the deer tracks like the deer the elk
are ethereal in nature.

Speaker 5 (34:20):
They're sort of steaming with your nat twenty.

Speaker 4 (34:23):
You notice as you look up at the rock, having
walked around it once, there's now a telemark scratched into
the side of the rock.

Speaker 5 (34:31):
One. I'm gonna run around the rock four times? Great,
you do.

Speaker 4 (34:37):
And now when you look at the rock there are
four scratches.

Speaker 10 (34:41):
But when I'm looking at it, it's still.

Speaker 5 (34:43):
That makes it complicated.

Speaker 10 (34:44):
But yes, I go around three major on the same
amount of times.

Speaker 4 (34:49):
I'm gonna go along.

Speaker 5 (34:50):
Seven more times.

Speaker 14 (34:51):
I'm following those.

Speaker 4 (34:53):
Nice there's like forty five three scratch bars. It's multiplicative.

Speaker 8 (34:57):
I think.

Speaker 5 (35:00):
I still we made it words, we made it way work.

Speaker 8 (35:05):
Can we run around back?

Speaker 23 (35:06):
What?

Speaker 4 (35:08):
Let's try that you run around counterclock was and it
goes down? Oh so smart, I still have.

Speaker 23 (35:16):
No idea what investigate?

Speaker 5 (35:22):
Sh sure?

Speaker 4 (35:23):
What are you used to investigating the rock?

Speaker 8 (35:25):
Investigate the nature of the magic? Maybe?

Speaker 5 (35:30):
Oh sure?

Speaker 4 (35:31):
Like in our check.

Speaker 8 (35:34):
I'll go to sixteen.

Speaker 5 (35:36):
I'm gonna do check too. Nope, I'm not.

Speaker 20 (35:43):
N what the.

Speaker 8 (35:43):
Hell, we used to die.

Speaker 4 (35:46):
You close your eyes and you put your hand on
the rock, and you can feel you recognize this as
illusion magic, and the rock sort of warbles beneath your
hand as you touch it.

Speaker 12 (35:58):
I step into it.

Speaker 5 (36:00):
Yeah, well that's all blue skadoo into the rock. You
can't do.

Speaker 4 (36:08):
You shrink down and spin around as you fly into
the rock and within it, you're now at the bottom
of a cave.

Speaker 11 (36:17):
Oh god, yeah, this doesn't seem like a good idea.

Speaker 5 (36:21):
I'm sorry. We skied it into a fucking cave.

Speaker 10 (36:24):
So we jumped off a cliff and ended up in
a forest. Now we jump into a rock and end
up in a cave.

Speaker 11 (36:28):
Yeah, that's getting notches on it for some reason that
we still look at what that means.

Speaker 4 (36:35):
As you find yourself in this cave and you look around,
there's just a single beam of light above you, shining
through the hole beneath the rock.

Speaker 5 (36:42):
God, wait, I've got a lot of really bad suck.

Speaker 12 (36:47):
Wait, there's a whole litter you tonguing.

Speaker 14 (36:50):
To me, Josh, thank yourself.

Speaker 4 (36:56):
God, I just I thought, whatever, Chris.

Speaker 8 (37:00):
Do you know how this stupid rock looks?

Speaker 24 (37:03):
Well?

Speaker 4 (37:03):
You don't want money being if you.

Speaker 8 (37:05):
Know I do stomach right now and tell me jerious intimidation.

Speaker 5 (37:13):
Nice new mustache.

Speaker 4 (37:15):
What Jerius is. Well, he's stuck in a tree's athing.
You can do really for you in this situation. He's
just pissed off at you.

Speaker 8 (37:24):
He doesn't know anything done it.

Speaker 4 (37:26):
But as you find yourself in this cave with the
little amount of light that's glinting through the hole in
the ceiling, you also see the shimmering antlers of the
elk down here.

Speaker 8 (37:36):
Wait is an elk in the cave.

Speaker 4 (37:40):
The caves see the antlers and stepping closer into the
light as you hold your breath, the body of the
elk emerges from the darkness of save and it looks
up at you and it says, looking.

Speaker 8 (38:00):
For me, maybe who's asking?

Speaker 5 (38:05):
I'm gonna view I'm gonna shoot a web about it.
Let me shoot a web. Let me shoot a web
do it money, I'm gonna we're i webcom out my sphinger.

Speaker 4 (38:26):
Alright, yeah, as as your web fire is on it,
we're going to uh initiate some combat with the elk.

Speaker 5 (38:33):
So we're gonna start our first improv game.

Speaker 25 (38:35):
You.

Speaker 4 (38:38):
So for this, we're gonna be playing a game since
since we're often hunting for for answers in our own lives.
For this challenge, the hunt, you guys will be playing
a game called interrogation. So one of you is going
to be our guesser for this. Uh so, okay, well
I didn't say you hey, hey, hey, hey hey, all right, Adien,

(39:04):
audience can choose who the guesser will be for this game.
So we've got airy Darby and Mommy yell out you'd
like to get ye.

Speaker 5 (39:17):
Oh, I feel so powerful?

Speaker 4 (39:20):
Well you can go, all right, so Mommy over there.

Speaker 5 (39:25):
God fuck. He's going to be accused.

Speaker 4 (39:30):
Of a crime that he committed with an accomplice in
a location He doesn't know what those things are, but
our interrogators are police here are going to be given
him clues without saying directly what it is. However, they're
also going to have some fun characteristics added to them
as well. So first let's get the crime that he committed.
This is going to be something that's like not a

(39:52):
real crime, but like pineapple on pizza, socks with sandal,
something that offends you but it's not generally considered illegal.
Jimmy Buffett was one of the things. Someone yelled what
else we got?

Speaker 5 (40:08):
What else is that?

Speaker 26 (40:10):
Eating someone else's lunch?

Speaker 4 (40:14):
Those are both good. Let's let's go with stealing stealing
someone's lunch from like lunch? Okay, stealing someone's lunch. We
need an accomplice. Who did he do it with?

Speaker 5 (40:28):
Jimmy buff overwhelming consensus?

Speaker 8 (40:33):
Right man himself?

Speaker 4 (40:36):
It's whatever you said to tell you? Great? And then
we also need a location where did he commit this crime?

Speaker 5 (40:43):
Nose man? Okay? Great?

Speaker 4 (40:50):
Uh So to review, he ate someone's lunch out of
the fridge with Jimmy Buffett at a waffle house before
we bring him back game here to We're also gonna
get he doesn't have to guess these These are for
like kind of bonus points if he does guess them,
rather than good cop, bad cop, because those things have
been done before. We've seen those. Let's get some other
adjectives or characteristics. You know, smelly cop?

Speaker 5 (41:15):
What else? What was it over there? Cranky?

Speaker 4 (41:18):
I like, cranky cop?

Speaker 5 (41:20):
Is one cop?

Speaker 4 (41:20):
What about from over here? What else we got?

Speaker 5 (41:24):
What was it?

Speaker 4 (41:29):
Now?

Speaker 5 (41:30):
You've cop and cranky cop?

Speaker 4 (41:32):
Alright?

Speaker 5 (41:32):
Great?

Speaker 4 (41:32):
Cool?

Speaker 5 (41:33):
So two? All right? Cool? All right?

Speaker 4 (41:36):
You ready feel good? All right? So on the count
of three, we're gonna say come back mommy and give
him a big round of applause. They will have four
minutes for him to guess all three of these things.
If he can also guess the cops, I'll give them
some extra time on top of that. Okay, all right,
so ready, on the count of three, we'll say, come
back mommy, big roun applause?

Speaker 5 (41:55):
Ready, one, two, three?

Speaker 8 (41:59):
Okay, you're late.

Speaker 5 (42:04):
I did not do it. I promise I didn't do it.

Speaker 10 (42:09):
There's a bit of good in everyone.

Speaker 8 (42:12):
Okay, listen, we know you did it, we know who
you did it with, and we know where you did it.

Speaker 12 (42:17):
Don't even try to see you did it.

Speaker 4 (42:21):
Okay, I did it.

Speaker 5 (42:23):
Yeah, I promise I did it.

Speaker 8 (42:25):
All of your.

Speaker 12 (42:26):
Coworkers they hate you. Now you're not allowed in the
break room anymore.

Speaker 8 (42:31):
They left a note. They put on her notes.

Speaker 5 (42:34):
Did I eat tuna fish? I wish I kim.

Speaker 12 (42:39):
She know you have to find Deborah and apologize to her. Specifically?

Speaker 5 (42:46):
Did I take her money?

Speaker 8 (42:49):
Well, technically, but it was in a specific form that
she used it to make something nice for herself, because
she deserves something nice.

Speaker 4 (42:56):
Sometimes.

Speaker 12 (42:58):
I'm sure you didn't mean to do it.

Speaker 8 (43:00):
It's okay, that's time.

Speaker 12 (43:03):
She really looking forward to that meal.

Speaker 5 (43:06):
It stole a coworker's lunch.

Speaker 8 (43:13):
Knew it.

Speaker 12 (43:14):
Oh my god, don't even get me started on how
you did it with.

Speaker 10 (43:18):
You're a very kind person, fruit admitting.

Speaker 5 (43:20):
That you're such a sweet cop. I love you. You're not.
You're the normal cop.

Speaker 27 (43:28):
I a shaker of salt thrown on the beach or something,
and angry like a normal cop.

Speaker 3 (43:38):
A cop cop.

Speaker 27 (43:40):
Yeah, well, it's not like I have the luxury of
being having boat drinks or something every day.

Speaker 24 (43:50):
Yeah, you know, me and Keanu like to hang out.

Speaker 12 (43:55):
Keanni would never know.

Speaker 5 (43:57):
He's too kind to steal lunches from people.

Speaker 12 (44:01):
I can tell you associate based on your Hawaiian.

Speaker 5 (44:03):
Shirt, based on my Hawaiian shirt.

Speaker 12 (44:08):
And you're bad Tan, and you're margaritam.

Speaker 11 (44:15):
Rocco from Rocco's More.

Speaker 12 (44:20):
You're with This person is real flesh and blood.

Speaker 8 (44:23):
Okay, yeah, it's alive. Maybe they're dead.

Speaker 5 (44:28):
Sorry, I'm the captain. They're dead. I just want to
let you know.

Speaker 4 (44:32):
Anybody see my cheeseburger, I left it in paradise.

Speaker 5 (44:37):
Well, you just got me with Jimmy Buffett. Of course
we did it together.

Speaker 8 (44:45):
You're gonna tell us where right where in the parking
lot of this place is usually when people go to fight.

Speaker 9 (44:54):
Kind of bundance of breakfast food that you could have
chosen from, but you didn't.

Speaker 11 (44:58):
Wait, it's actually what I thought it was, isn't waffle house?

Speaker 28 (45:08):
Before?

Speaker 4 (45:10):
Just for good man, could you recount your entire confession?

Speaker 11 (45:14):
Pleas I stole a fellow employees lunch, and I did
it with Jimmy Buffett, and I did it in the
waffle house parking lot.

Speaker 4 (45:24):
Right. Great, well, bonus points here.

Speaker 5 (45:27):
You did it went well with in time.

Speaker 4 (45:28):
Okay, what are the cops for my first day?

Speaker 10 (45:33):
This has been great. I'm sure this is how it's
going to go every day.

Speaker 29 (45:37):
I hate Monday's incompetent cop close and Garfield cop.

Speaker 4 (45:49):
Real close. No bonus points for you. This is naive,
common cranky cop.

Speaker 16 (45:56):
Well you are.

Speaker 29 (46:03):
Well, I'm not.

Speaker 4 (46:08):
So with the strength with the ethereal elk ensnared. It
bows its head at you now, having been known and interrogated,
and it sheds one of its antlers as it floats
to your hands.

Speaker 30 (46:22):
Give me close into my hands for a reason, but
I'm not going to say why.

Speaker 8 (46:30):
Yeah, I'm still holding it.

Speaker 5 (46:32):
Okay, No, Okay, what did we did?

Speaker 8 (46:39):
What?

Speaker 10 (46:39):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (46:40):
So, so did you want me to tell you about.

Speaker 22 (46:44):
Fuck off?

Speaker 14 (46:45):
I'll figure it out.

Speaker 10 (46:46):
I'm investigating it.

Speaker 5 (46:49):
Yeah, we all investigated to get rid of Jared.

Speaker 12 (46:52):
I'm angry at you, don't seventy two?

Speaker 4 (46:58):
Yeah, you you and us to gate the the the
ethereal elk corn Uh and you you can see that
the antler, it's not a real one. So I don't
know if you want to put your face by it.
I almost put it in my mouth. That was at
letting me know ahead of top. Yeah, we didn't think
you were gonna put your fake.

Speaker 31 (47:19):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (47:20):
So you can tell that h that this is one
of Oberon's many favors. And you feel as a power
swell within you as you hold it.

Speaker 5 (47:29):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (47:30):
Yeah, you don't put it down, but also don't put
it by your face. But yeah, it grants you a bonus.
If you're wearing a shield, it hardens you like bone
as you you wield it. It only works that one
person learning.

Speaker 12 (47:45):
I just didn't want to keep it new duncle puff.

Speaker 5 (47:49):
Yeah, you don't want to make me any more hard
than I already.

Speaker 12 (47:57):
Like she's she's a tough too.

Speaker 8 (48:00):
Yeah, everywhere else all.

Speaker 5 (48:04):
You cobalts out there.

Speaker 4 (48:07):
With the andler in hands to the illusion of the
cave melts away, and you find yourself back in the
same clearing you had before with the four sign posts.

Speaker 5 (48:15):
You just completed Oberon's hunt.

Speaker 10 (48:18):
Easy.

Speaker 5 (48:19):
I'm gonna go by myself really fast down the drink way. Okay, myself,
I can't.

Speaker 14 (48:30):
I'm saying, right here, oh wow.

Speaker 5 (48:36):
They found it. Okay, Yeah, you walk down the path.
Are you following them?

Speaker 25 (48:40):
You're saying, okay, I'm sitting down in the middle of
wherever I am this.

Speaker 5 (48:47):
Up because I'm just being a lush here and having.

Speaker 8 (48:51):
Another I was.

Speaker 4 (48:56):
Good mind, refrigerator, drink rice. You take a little side
path where you find a medello on the ground. Perfect,
just a random ground medello. I'm sure we'll have no
negative consequences.

Speaker 23 (49:14):

Speaker 5 (49:15):
I'll chuck it to make sure it's good. Yeah, I
want to go to the drink path.

Actually.

Speaker 3 (49:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (49:21):
As you you continue along, you see kind of woven
into the vines and the purple trees twisted up with
all of the foliage. You see a structure made of
the felled purple trees. It's almost like a log cabin,
but there's a sign swinging from the over the entrance,
and you could hear the light diddling of music from inside.

(49:42):
You found yourself in a fay wild tavern.

Speaker 32 (49:46):
Yeah, yeah, do you guys want to go in your
favorite genre of music? You should blink more when you
say the word diddle?

Speaker 8 (49:59):
Three me out, all right, esca inside, See what kind
of copper things they might have that I could take
off the wall.

Speaker 5 (50:09):
Yeah, let's steal shit from him? All right?

Speaker 4 (50:14):
You guys walk into the bar and yeah, you see
what looks to be an.

Speaker 5 (50:20):

yeah he does.

Speaker 4 (50:27):
He looks like a high off pointy ears like you,
and he is not being He's always the same, no, no, no.
And you also see a very large creature in the
corner of the bar too, with a big stack of
drinks by them. Other than that, the bar is largely empty.
There's a loot playing itself in the corner, providing music.

(50:50):
It's clearly enchanted. What would you guys like to do.

Speaker 5 (50:53):
I'm gonna flirt with that big guy, all right, Yeah,
go for it.

Speaker 4 (50:58):
You walk up to him. He's just like pounding drinks
and grunts at you. You can see He's got two
tusk like teeth that stick up is underbite. He looks
up at you.

Speaker 31 (51:08):
What you.

Speaker 11 (51:10):
I just saw that you were pounding drinks and I
like your teeth, and I'd like to pound some drinks
with you.

Speaker 5 (51:18):

is covered in hair, and he says, noise.

Speaker 5 (52:24):
You find out Majella on the ground. I like your shot.
I like your soil too, your chucking drinks somewhere you
want to buy any one?

Speaker 4 (52:34):

Do you know what Oberon's thing is? I've probably forgotten

Speaker 11 (53:51):
You're so attracted to me? I roll a seventy. I
can be confused and attracted. Okay, that's fine, that's fine.

Speaker 12 (54:29):
Can I slight of hand?

Speaker 3 (54:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (54:32):
We start making out and then she starts reaching into
your pockets. I didn't mean to say that to the guy.

Speaker 5 (54:44):
I was going to do it too. I was saying
to this like Ethan, not not the older one of
the fu. You're what an ole?

Speaker 31 (54:55):

Speaker 13 (55:43):
Kind of.

Speaker 5 (55:46):

Speaker 10 (56:01):
That's a netwe is it a ghost?

Speaker 5 (56:04):
So it's not a ghost?

Speaker 4 (56:06):
Sorry? Why why did you want it.

Speaker 5 (56:08):
To be a ghosts speaky?

Speaker 4 (56:14):
You notice that the enchantment seems to be a local
one as you you look to the front of the
bar and you see the bartender who's been wiping down
the bar this whole time, cleaning glass is kind of
giving you the eye. But you also notice his fingers
subtenly moving to control of the lyre, and he's doing
some other hand motions as well. It seems like maybe
he's he's puppeting more things with this magic guy's giving

(56:37):
you the eye. He's flirting with you, sure right back,
sull not creep him out at all. Well, he's flirting
with you, that's flirting.

Speaker 12 (56:53):
Maybe you should wear him.

Speaker 8 (56:54):
And then he's his fingers kitling, call me, call me
what I need on like a mage hand and wrap one.

Speaker 5 (57:05):
Of his hands ray at him to make him feel
and feeble and feeble.

Speaker 13 (57:14):
Go let me go.

Speaker 5 (57:17):
Call me mommy. I mean before you do this. Yeah,
you can't do shi until somebody calls you mommy. Four points,
God damn it, my hell.

Speaker 4 (57:26):
What do you want to do as you make eye
contact with this high l Who's who's doing He's doing that.
He's diddling, He's diddling. He's the deep. Okay, gotcha. What
are you saying in your in your your your.

Speaker 5 (57:44):
Message that.

Speaker 8 (57:47):
No one's saying that.

Speaker 3 (57:50):
One over there?

Speaker 4 (57:54):
You're inside my head. I'm diddling the layer. What Oh,
I'm also I'm also a baby puppeteering my brother.

Speaker 5 (58:07):
Why, I'm just lonely.

Speaker 10 (58:11):
That sucks for you.

Speaker 5 (58:14):
Wow, you guys are assholes.

Speaker 14 (58:18):
I'm the only one who said anything.

Speaker 26 (58:19):
You know what you can get out of my barn.
You'll get any of the things you need from me.
Do we just get kicked out through like telekinesis?

Speaker 20 (58:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 10 (58:32):
Much to say nothing. It's fine.

Speaker 5 (58:36):
The knoll in the corner stands up, his robe falls off.

Speaker 4 (58:39):
Giant hyena man just hunches over the table, takes one
more drink.

Speaker 22 (58:45):
Get help, mommy, me. I thought we had something. H
eat a man I made you laugh.

Speaker 5 (58:58):
All right, you guys gonna have to into a combat here.
Give you to fight the Hyaena man. Uh no, no, well,
I mean yes.

Speaker 4 (59:08):
You're gonna fight that man, but in the form of
of a song, several songs. So this is another tim
guessing game we could also use. If anybody wants to sing,
they can that you are now required to. Is anybody
in the audience interested in doing it?

Speaker 5 (59:24):
Otherwise? I will happily?

Speaker 8 (59:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (59:25):
Come yeah. Uh.

Speaker 4 (59:36):
So we're gonna play a game called Hay Bartender where
I believe do we decide earlier?

Speaker 5 (59:41):
Do you want to be the bartender?

Speaker 17 (59:43):
All right?

Speaker 5 (59:43):
So Aria is our bartender?

Speaker 4 (59:45):
Say by Aria.

Speaker 5 (59:49):
Like airy poppter.

Speaker 4 (59:52):
A boy?

Speaker 23 (59:53):
All right? I like that.

Speaker 4 (59:57):
So you guys will be playing the patrons of this
far as the bartender. She's going to have to guess
what you guys are, kind of like we did before,
but this time all of the clues can only be
given in song form and she can only guess in
song form. So we will have Bobby over here playing
some keys for giving Bobby, So we're gonna need some

(01:00:24):
some fun characters for them to play. So starting over here,
for Darby, what is uh what's a fictional character somebody
from like TV movies, books, Wednesday, like Wednesday Adams, Yeah,
Wednesday Adams for mommy over here? We need let's get
like a historical figure or celebrity somebody real? What was

(01:00:50):
it over here that here's a one Michael?

Speaker 5 (01:00:53):
I don't know who that is? Michael?

Speaker 13 (01:00:56):
Do that?

Speaker 22 (01:01:00):
What else?

Speaker 11 (01:01:03):
I just love that they looked at me and thought
that for Renolds, that means my mustache is really coming
in good? Yeah, I mean it was pretty young.

Speaker 5 (01:01:14):
She might not know that is. That's gonna be really funny. Oh,
come on, and.

Speaker 4 (01:01:20):
Then let's get let's get something a little bit more abstract.
What's a concept that that Josh can be sea? We
got Wednesday Adams, Burt Reynolds and a Square will come

(01:01:43):
on and sing and they are going to again. They
will have four minutes. I'll pause in between to allow
for some transitions. Uh, but we are gonna see.

Speaker 5 (01:01:52):
If you guys get tamed this time. Fee like.

Speaker 4 (01:01:59):
On a kind of three. Let's say, well, I don't
bit on the slaws really three?

Speaker 29 (01:02:05):
Come well, I'm a lady of Manaton. You've probably seen

(01:02:29):
me on the TV, maybe on your phone.

Speaker 12 (01:02:35):
I like, thanks, spooky and grim.

Speaker 8 (01:02:40):
I've got a brother, father.

Speaker 10 (01:02:42):
Sister, No, not a sister, just who.

Speaker 34 (01:02:48):
I can see getting along because Wednesday we've got a
similar stare going on.

Speaker 14 (01:03:11):
Come on, little lady, I'll thank you for a ride.
I'm a shape for people.

Speaker 30 (01:03:20):
Side well, my friend, I don't think we have a
lot to share, yes, because I can.

Speaker 10 (01:03:35):
See that you're kind of a square.

Speaker 31 (01:03:44):
So here I am.

Speaker 22 (01:03:48):
I'm here in the flash, I'm here with mine shine mustache.

Speaker 5 (01:03:58):
I'm a lot.

Speaker 24 (01:04:01):
To be very clear, I also have a lot of
chest hair.

Speaker 34 (01:04:19):
Beyond all that hair, I can say a pretty serious tim.
Are you sure you're not sunburnt ape man?

Speaker 4 (01:04:34):
Think more.

Speaker 5 (01:04:37):
About me please. I am actually from the seventies.

Speaker 31 (01:04:46):
I'd actually be from the sixties, but I was real
popular in the eighties.

Speaker 14 (01:04:59):
This is really unfortunate, unfortunate for everybody.

Speaker 10 (01:05:02):
Because I'm not really really a fan of that.

Speaker 13 (01:05:07):
Kind of Harold. Don't you forget that. Because I knew
you were gonna fucking get this.

Speaker 4 (01:05:23):
It's okay.

Speaker 5 (01:05:24):
Don't get down on yourself.

Speaker 31 (01:05:28):
Think about so on that sixty from the seventies, sixty.

Speaker 5 (01:05:37):
Just start naming names. It doesn't matter. You're never gonna
get this. You're not to blame for you forgot more peace.

Speaker 27 (01:05:55):
The thing you put on your lips from that guy

Speaker 34 (01:08:14):
I'm being told it's real the time.

Speaker 37 (01:08:30):
Body I want a little bit overund the time we
did not I mean you had, you had more than.

Speaker 4 (01:08:43):

Thank you culture, every let thank You'll.

Speaker 8 (01:09:57):
I'm just now remembering as if says Bodel whatever named
Ryan Reynolds.

Speaker 12 (01:10:06):
It's far more accessible to the young.

Speaker 5 (01:10:13):
Oh yeah, we're gonna use that for Renolds. That makes sense.

Speaker 4 (01:10:17):
Yeah, yeah, eighty five years old. But that's fine.

Speaker 5 (01:10:23):
So thought riddle this. She just called you eighty five.

Speaker 3 (01:10:29):

Speaker 5 (01:11:04):
Welcome back to left job. Sorry, just testing Bobby's reflexes
to see me.

Speaker 4 (01:11:14):
Nice. So our intrepid adventures previously acquired the Nectar of
the Gods. They've got the ethereal Elkhorn.

Speaker 5 (01:11:21):
What else do they need to do?

Speaker 4 (01:11:22):
Because the show is running out of time, some of
these challenges might be condensed. We'll see what happens. But yeah,
well maybe they would have done better with exposition and plot.
Who knows, but please make some noise for adventurers Stewards.

(01:11:46):
Don't worry. Mommy said not to worry about mommy, so
we're just gonna move on without them.

Speaker 5 (01:11:53):
There's no time for mommy.

Speaker 4 (01:11:56):
I don't know why I so perfect to you guys
on yourself back to the clearing. You've now got your
Nectar of the Gods, You've got your Elkhorn. You've still
got two areas you can explore left. You've got an
area marked with a sign in Sylvan that fads the song,
and an area in Sylvan marked that says the race.

Speaker 5 (01:12:15):
Hell, mommy, I've been working out sore.

Speaker 18 (01:12:21):
Fuck the other two times to disappear then, yeah, okay
they're gone.

Speaker 5 (01:12:28):
Yeah they were illusions. So what do you guys want
to do?

Speaker 4 (01:12:32):
Song or race?

Speaker 8 (01:12:33):
I want to go at a quick pace, that's race.

Speaker 5 (01:12:36):
I just want to go to the race.

Speaker 4 (01:12:37):
Yeah all right.

Speaker 25 (01:12:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:12:39):
You walk down the path brambled path to the race,
and you see waiting beneath a giant oak tree, chomping
on an apple is a jackalope, but he's humanoid in nature.

Speaker 5 (01:12:51):
He's tall, it's got antlers ears. Yeah, he's like a
first ownA.

Speaker 4 (01:12:55):
You can see that. That's fine, whatever you want, sure,
But he's standing leaning up against the tree eating an apple.
He says, Oh, you guys here from my my favorite
for oberonh.

Speaker 10 (01:13:08):
Yeah, is it the apple?

Speaker 4 (01:13:10):
Is that the what?

Speaker 25 (01:13:12):

Speaker 5 (01:13:17):
Unfortunately, did Jeris do not explain any of the No.

Speaker 8 (01:13:25):
I asked him to.

Speaker 12 (01:13:26):
Tell us information, and he said nothing.

Speaker 5 (01:13:29):
He refused whoa jeris? Usually loves loves giving away exposition.

Speaker 21 (01:13:36):
But all right, you'll need one of my feet if
you want to if you want to impress the fairy king,
one of your feet, yep, one of my feet.

Speaker 5 (01:13:46):
Can you give us one of your feet? You see,
you're gonna have to beat me in a foot race,
chop off your foot?

Speaker 4 (01:13:52):
I hang, honestly, I'm not taking a.

Speaker 8 (01:13:54):
Chop on my chatters right right?

Speaker 11 (01:13:56):
Like?

Speaker 20 (01:13:57):
Is that the.

Speaker 5 (01:14:00):
Here's the deal.

Speaker 4 (01:14:01):
If you want to attack me, I'll give you one
round to try and attack me for and run away forever.

Speaker 20 (01:14:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:14:07):
Oh, we can race.

Speaker 5 (01:14:08):
I think I'm pretty fast. I just gotta be called something.

Speaker 12 (01:14:14):
Let's race.

Speaker 10 (01:14:15):
I'm not a got some pretty violent magic. I think

gonna throw a bunch of grease beneath you.

Speaker 12 (01:14:34):
No, beneath the rabbit, not airy.

Speaker 11 (01:14:37):
Yeah, beneath the rabbit, because if he tries to run away,
he's gonna Scooby Doo run in once.

Speaker 8 (01:14:41):
Oh I thought it was the.

Speaker 5 (01:19:52):
Now here's the thing you guys did technically.

Speaker 4 (01:19:56):
Also, you made a point of attacking the jack lobe
and greasing the floor. Yeah, that's why I can't wonder
it fast. Yeah, he's so greasy he goes. So what
I'll say is you don't catch the jacklobe. But in
the race, one of his feet falls off. Yeah, fuck you.

Speaker 39 (01:20:25):
During this they got torn up. I mean, you're not
fucking lively. So it's so good he did go as

a fucking slip dress not on my bucket list.

Speaker 4 (01:20:53):
You have one final trial to overcome, is that where
you guys are.

Speaker 5 (01:20:57):
Heading or you're doing anything else.

Speaker 8 (01:20:59):
Did any have any healing spells for.

Speaker 3 (01:21:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 25 (01:21:05):
I think that's a huming spell.

Speaker 5 (01:21:13):
That you can prepare socks with.

Speaker 10 (01:21:16):
Yourself.

Speaker 25 (01:21:16):
Okay, nice, you did not do it. I am a
fashion expert on the tops. So you find yourself now
with only one trial left. You've got three of the
four boons. What are you guys doing? You just heading

(01:21:39):
for the last trial?

Speaker 16 (01:21:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:21:44):
What if you want to drink the Nectar of the
God before you give it to Oberon? We all do
it and sell celebration bootoo? What is I'm winded? Damn
you lush? Can I try it? No, it's up to

(01:22:05):
you if you want to drag it.

Speaker 12 (01:22:07):
If ober I let you have some at the end,
then you can have some.

Speaker 5 (01:22:10):
Is Oberon let me have some at theater. I'm gonna
have to steal it.

Speaker 8 (01:22:13):
You have to flat with him.

Speaker 12 (01:22:16):
I hope it pass away for one second, Jesus.

Speaker 5 (01:22:21):
The nectar of the fucking gods?

Speaker 20 (01:22:28):

Speaker 8 (01:22:32):
It is it fruit punch?

Speaker 5 (01:22:35):
No, it's not very good. I don't know what it
might be. Cleaning the solution?

Speaker 12 (01:22:44):
Why do you assume everything you drink is cleaning?

Speaker 8 (01:22:47):
Solution?

Speaker 5 (01:22:48):
I clean with alcohol as you of the gods. Only
one sign remains.

Speaker 4 (01:22:56):
As you walk down the path of the song, you
come upon a small lake drifting with a twinkling golden
mist above it.

Speaker 5 (01:23:08):
Sorry, I heard the match of the lids as a
weird lid.

Speaker 4 (01:23:13):
Upon the lake. Up on the lake you see several
lily pads, and from within the golden mist you hear
beautiful song chorus of angels. Angels sweetly give me a
wisdom saving throw everyone.

Speaker 10 (01:23:31):
Dang I have advantage against being charmed.

Speaker 3 (01:23:35):
Here you go.

Speaker 10 (01:23:36):
Oh no, I got okay, that was a nineteen, so
I'll take them.

Speaker 5 (01:23:41):
I see that, all right, I know it's so bad.

Speaker 30 (01:23:44):
I'm the most sane among everybody.

Speaker 4 (01:23:49):
You see through the illusion of the mist as you
two start to walk into the lake, your knee deep
in the water, now heading towards the call of the angels,
and you see through the mist, through the illusion that
these are not angels singing, but frogs, purple frogs, sitting
on lily pads, and they erupt in a beautiful chorus.

Speaker 5 (01:24:19):
That was beautiful, that one's kind.

Speaker 4 (01:24:30):
As you approached the center of the lake, you guys
are being drawn towards I.

Speaker 5 (01:24:35):
Or you see in the center of all of.

Speaker 4 (01:24:37):
The frogs, a large giant mother toad emerges from the lake.

Speaker 5 (01:24:52):
I didn't know if you were doing that mummy. Okay,
and that's the time I haven't been like being old mommy.
I'm hoping to ruin it for you forever. Jesus. The
frog it licks its lips. Are you doing anything to

(01:25:13):
help them? What do you want to do?

Speaker 8 (01:25:15):
It's a beautiful angel with the hay I'm glad to steal.

Speaker 10 (01:25:21):
Can I just like slap them with my fish.

Speaker 20 (01:25:28):
For it?

Speaker 37 (01:25:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:25:28):
Give me, give me a tack roll. Wait, who are
you flapping?

Speaker 4 (01:25:34):
No I'm not it's that one.

Speaker 5 (01:25:36):
Yeah all right, No, that's right. You try and slap
the frog with your your arcane.

Speaker 8 (01:25:47):
She wanted to slap us, trying to snap him out
of it.

Speaker 4 (01:25:51):
Oh gotcha?

Speaker 5 (01:25:51):
Sorry?

Speaker 4 (01:25:52):
Sorry you you slip and fall as the the water
starts to swirl around you. We're gonna play another improv
game here.

Speaker 8 (01:26:09):
Jack was so excited you plum.

Speaker 4 (01:26:19):
Yeah, you didn't have to run.

Speaker 5 (01:26:20):
I was almost bester than you us. Wait, why are
we doing so much of a laugh at you guys?

Speaker 4 (01:26:34):
We're going to play a game year with the singing frogs.
The course here all of the frogs are singing in
the rhyme. So this is going to be a rhyming
game where we're going to see what rhymes with some words.
So if anybody's feeling feels like they want to do
some rhyming, yeah, throw a hands up. Yeah, we can
take a few folks. Anybody over the section.

Speaker 5 (01:26:51):
I see that, Okay, d j S.

Speaker 4 (01:26:55):
Whoever's over here, give a random a flows for volunteer, Yeah,
give it over a.

Speaker 8 (01:27:12):
Cool.

Speaker 4 (01:27:12):
So, the way that this game works is Bobby is
going to play us a beat, and you are going
to do your best to set up a rhyme and
then deliver upon that rhyme. So, to give you an example,
we would have like a one one syllable name. So
for example, if that name was Tom, we might say
he's real cool, my friend Tom.

Speaker 5 (01:27:33):
You could say that he's the bomb. Okay, it makes sense.

Speaker 4 (01:27:37):
So you're setting your own rhyme up and then paying
that rhyme off, and we'll keep going down the line.
If you if you mess up, or you can't think
of one, or you say one that's already been said,
you'll be eliminating. Okay, last people standing will be the
victors of this combat. So we'll start over here with you.

Speaker 5 (01:27:55):
You've you've played.

Speaker 4 (01:27:58):
Yeah, So what I mean from you guys to get
started is a one syllable name.

Speaker 5 (01:28:04):
What is wants? Step is hard, Jim Troy, here Jack Troy,
Troy Troy has at.

Speaker 4 (01:28:17):
Okay, great?

Speaker 5 (01:28:17):
Good sweet.

Speaker 4 (01:28:19):
So we'll start over here with Erry this is Here's
what rhymes. The way that we like to start this
game too is we're going to the first four people
are going to say the name, So you'll say Troy, Troy,
Troy Troy, and then we'll all together we're gonna say
here's what rhymes with Troy, and then you'll start right
it great.

Speaker 5 (01:28:37):
Give him rid of the blouse? Come on, that felt good.

Speaker 4 (01:28:51):
Feeling?

Speaker 5 (01:28:52):
Shall we get a slower vers? Troy Troy Troy.

Speaker 10 (01:29:00):

Speaker 4 (01:40:59):
It sounds hot.

Speaker 5 (01:41:00):
Are give me god ymns? You're saying, give me a persuade,
a persuade.

Speaker 12 (01:41:08):
You're being real desperate.

Speaker 41 (01:41:10):
Yeah, I think that's my thing. Fourteen again A right
plus one? Oh I got zero?

Speaker 3 (01:41:21):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (01:41:22):
Thirteen.

Speaker 12 (01:41:23):
Is anyone else with an advantage that wants to say, oh,
last one?

Speaker 5 (01:41:30):
Why is this the case in every show that I use?
All the advantages?

Speaker 3 (01:41:37):
Wait to know?

Speaker 5 (01:41:39):
Just the lips, just the lips put this in the lips.

Speaker 23 (01:41:43):
All that.

Speaker 10 (01:41:46):
I ever blinked.

Speaker 4 (01:41:51):
Fuck your lips slowly crack deal as they turned to stone.

Speaker 5 (01:41:59):
You are petrified. All right, Well that's what you get
for drinking it. I don't know what to tell you.

Speaker 4 (01:42:11):
I thought it was pretty clear. If you had asked
me for any exposition, I would have outlined that even
more clearly. All right, give me my course. Can I
my last thing? Yeah, give me the flu.

Speaker 8 (01:42:26):
Here's the cloud.

Speaker 5 (01:42:28):
Well nice, let's make the cloud do the thing it does.
Thank you nice.

Speaker 14 (01:42:41):
I love that song growing on me.

Speaker 3 (01:42:43):
I don't again.

Speaker 4 (01:42:45):
Oh yeah, yeah, it gives better every time. Well, look,
since you mostly got me the boons except for SIPT
for all of my nectar of the Gods, I'll let
you guys out of here scott free, unless you want
to try and rescue your dumb dum over there.

Speaker 10 (01:43:09):
I'm gonna hear anything because her lips are frozen. If
you like I do shudder.

Speaker 12 (01:43:18):
Yeah, yeah, we'll make it.

Speaker 14 (01:43:20):
Well, you know, why don't we try to find out?

Speaker 3 (01:43:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 14 (01:43:27):
I cast shudder, I cast shudder.

Speaker 5 (01:43:34):
You wave your fish.

Speaker 4 (01:43:35):
It's twice as effective on inanimate objects, which mommy is,
and so mommy, I'm sorry.

Speaker 5 (01:43:43):
But you explode.

Speaker 4 (01:43:51):
Yeah, you're just a pile of rubble on the grounds.

Speaker 5 (01:43:57):
That says one last thing before I die.

Speaker 10 (01:44:00):
Of course, fuck you, I knew she was gonna say that.

Speaker 12 (01:44:06):
Yeah, predictable.

Speaker 17 (01:44:08):
Hey mommy, yeah what get wrecked? That our heroes are
free of the fay wild.

Speaker 4 (01:44:22):
Money is dead.

Speaker 5 (01:44:25):
And thank you audience and our course of francs.

Speaker 4 (01:44:28):
Give yourself.

Speaker 3 (01:44:32):
Another round the.

Speaker 5 (01:44:33):
Flaws for the least.

Speaker 36 (01:44:38):
Julia another huge trying to both for all our audience
volunteers on.

Speaker 4 (01:44:55):
And happen you bunch of mass reading the Goldman and
we will be back with more laughter and legends next month.

Speaker 1 (01:45:06):
And there it was our latest quest for laughter and legends,
a trip into the Fey Wild. And I've got to
I've got to talk about the foot race that happened
outside the theater in the parking loss, with Casey losing
a foot race to a child while wearing I think
a slip dress, but it sort of looked more like

(01:45:27):
a nightgown.

Speaker 2 (01:45:28):
Oh he was Mama dunkle Puff.

Speaker 1 (01:45:30):
He was Mama dunkle Puff. Yes, yeah, yeah, I don't
think the clothes were made for athletics, to be honest.

Speaker 2 (01:45:39):
No, I can't say I've ever run a race in
a nightgown, even when I was on the track team
back in high school. Not something I did. So what
happened in this race?

Speaker 4 (01:45:48):
He lost?

Speaker 1 (01:45:49):
He lost, I believe twice. They ran it twice, and yeah,
Casey lost it terribly. I think messed up his foot
doing it in all.

Speaker 2 (01:45:57):
What shoes was he wearing? Was he wearing his Hamburger
shoes or some I.

Speaker 1 (01:46:01):
Have a feeling he wasn't wearing any shoes at all,
and that was the mistake.

Speaker 2 (01:46:05):
Yeah, okay, you got to build to that sort of
level of barefoot athleticism.

Speaker 1 (01:46:11):
Yeah, that takes some real training. And I think it
was revealed later that the child he raced was on
his high school track team.

Speaker 2 (01:46:18):
So okay, yeah, unfair advantage right there.

Speaker 1 (01:46:21):
Yeah, so again, you know, Casey, there you go. There's
someone at least feel sorry for you.

Speaker 2 (01:46:26):
Oh we love Casey.

Speaker 1 (01:46:28):
Casey's fantastic case That wasn't absolutely clear, such a good sport,
and it made for one of the most iconic moments
in laughter and legends history.

Speaker 2 (01:46:37):
I think, oh my goodness, I'm glad I missed it.

Speaker 1 (01:46:41):
I didn't ever expect it to go, you know, outside
the theater it's it's fully immersive, it's fully interactive.

Speaker 2 (01:46:47):
Yeah, sometimes we go outside. That's not the first time
we went outside.

Speaker 1 (01:46:50):
And I see it will happen again.

Speaker 2 (01:46:51):
I'm sure it will be the last.

Speaker 1 (01:46:54):
Thank you once again, Meccan for joining me in the
studio for these for these little intros and stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:47:00):
Oh thanks again for having me.

Speaker 1 (01:47:02):
You've heard how easy it is to get involved at
the Peak Improv Theater. So Megan, where can people head
to find out all information on shows and classes and
workshops and everything else.

Speaker 2 (01:47:13):
Okay, brace yourself, this is going to be a huge
shock and surprise. Peakimprov dot com what.

Speaker 1 (01:47:19):
I can't believe it. It's Peak improv dot com.

Speaker 2 (01:47:21):
It is Peakimprov dot Com. That's Peak.

Speaker 1 (01:47:25):
Good to note because I was thinking p E e K,
which I shouldn't say out loud because it's Peak.

Speaker 2 (01:47:30):
P E A K, I M p R O V.
There's no e at the end. That's the word improve
and autocorrect wants to make it that happen every time
you type improv.

Speaker 1 (01:47:40):
I hate robots. Thank you so much for listening to this.
Thank you for supporting local comedy. Come see Laughter and
Legends at the Peak Improv theater this Friday for any
in all info on social media. Instagram is a good
place as well.

Speaker 2 (01:47:56):
Wait do they know they can win prizes?

Speaker 1 (01:47:59):
Oh my god, witness I mentioned that.

Speaker 2 (01:48:02):
Yeah, you can. If you come to the theater and
you wear a costume, you can win a prize. If
you come and you get up on stage with us,
you can win a prize. At the end, we roll
a one hundred sided die which looks like a ball basically, yes,
and the top three I believe who roll the highest

(01:48:23):
numbers get big prizes, and then everyone else gets a
small prize from us if you wear a costume or
you come up on stage.

Speaker 1 (01:48:29):
Yeah, there's some really good prizes there as well on us. Yeah, yeah, fantastic. Yes,
it is the most interactive show.

Speaker 4 (01:48:35):
It really is.

Speaker 20 (01:48:36):
It is.

Speaker 1 (01:48:36):
I hope you enjoyed it. We'll be back in two
weeks with a brand new tune Titans. But until then,
one last time, Megan, thank you for your time.

Speaker 2 (01:48:45):
Oh, thank you, Matt
