Nobody really prepares you for this part.

We talk about growth like it's only additive. Like you just keep expanding, healing, becoming - and somewhere along the way you arrive somewhere better. And eventually, that's true. But the process of getting there asks something of you that almost nobody names honestly: it asks you to leave things behind. And leaving things behind hurts. Even when you chose to leave. Even when you know it was right.

In this episode, we go into the grief that lives inside genuine change. The mourning of an old identity that felt like home even when it was hurting you. The relationships that quietly don't survive who you're becoming. The stories that gave your life its shape, and the disorientation of what happens when they finally lose their grip.

Because growth is not only gain. It's also loss. And that loss is real, and it deserves to be named - not reframed immediately into a lesson, not rushed past in order to stay inside the narrative that becoming is a beautiful thing.

It is a beautiful thing. And it can still cost something. Both are true.

If you are in the middle of real change and it doesn't feel the way you expected - you are exactly where you need to be.
