Most of us spend years doing inner work without ever questioning the version of ourselves we built to do it from.

In this episode, we go into the persona - the face constructed early, before conscious choice, in response to an environment that couldn't hold all of you. Not as a flaw. Not as a lie. But as a strategy that was once genuinely necessary, and has quietly become a limitation.

We look at how the persona and the shadow are two sides of the same split. How whatever was exiled downward into the shadow was precisely what couldn't survive in the face turned toward the world. And why doing shadow work eventually, inevitably, asks the persona to loosen, to make room for more of what was buried.

We also go into the specific exhaustion that comes from over-identifying with the mask. The gap between how you present and how you actually feel. The cost of maintaining a version of yourself that was built for a context you no longer live in.

Because the face you built was the answer you found when not all of you was welcome. The question this episode sits with is simply this: is it still the answer now?
