Speaker 1 (00:00):
M hm.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
N. I uh, my name is Kenna Kennedy Camill. Please
there right away. Who's gotten a dead body? Who's got
a dead body? Okay, sir, take a deep bat to
transmut a camel. Okay, don't hang out, Hey, I won't.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
Emergency.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Yeah, Me and my wife's just on a dead body freezer. Yes,
a thread of my friend Paul as my fistes off.
Can I put my threether in your race? Yeah.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
Every suspect accused of the crime has the right to
remain silent. Many agree to be interrogated anyway, but they
can stop the interview at any moment, making it a
race against time. Justice hangs in the balance.
Speaker 4 (01:11):
In June of twenty seventeen, the Youngstown Police Department gets
a call of a missing adult. Shanning Graves was last
seen by her family around February of twenty seventeen, but
in the missing person's report wasn't filed until June.
Speaker 5 (01:30):
Shannon graves sister reported that Shannon had a history of
not being in contact with her family or short periods
of time, but when it reached the four month mark,
it seemed extreme even for what they were used to.
Speaker 6 (01:47):
She missed holidays with the family. She missed her sister's birthday.
Shannon's sister and her little brother were very important to her,
so well, something was wrong, something was off.
Speaker 5 (02:11):
When the officers responded, they got no response at the
door of the apartment. They were not able to make
contact with anyone inside.
Speaker 4 (02:26):
So we start looking at Ohio food card records of
Shannon to kind of see where she has been over
the last few months since family members had last heard
from her.
Speaker 7 (02:37):
Shannon worked in Akron, Ohio, which is forty five minutes
west of Youngstown, and typically when Shannon got off work,
the Warfare card would be used at convenience stores around
where she worked.
Speaker 5 (02:54):
That usage changed after the last week of February two
thousand and seventeen. Places where she normally shopped she no
longer shopped.
Speaker 7 (03:07):
The card is now being used in convenience stores in Youngstown.
It's being used after Shannon has been seen.
Speaker 5 (03:14):
In addition to that, the benefits were not being used
at all. After May of twenty seventeen, she just disappeared.
Speaker 4 (03:27):
We feared that something nefarious may have happened to Shannon,
and it was time to launch a formally missing person investigation.
Speaker 8 (03:42):
Shannon grew up in Youngstown.
Speaker 6 (03:45):
She had a very difficult childhood. Her parents, even though
they loved her, were pretty involved in their own drama
and lives. For period of time, she was in.
Speaker 8 (04:03):
A group home.
Speaker 6 (04:06):
She has an older sister, Debbie, and she has a
little brother, Aj, and Aj was her world. Everything that
she did, it was to protect Aj. She didn't always
get along with her mom. There was a lot of rebellion,
I guess. However, as she got older, she went to
(04:30):
cosmetology school and Shannon graduated.
Speaker 8 (04:35):
She was a hard worker and she was fierce.
Speaker 6 (04:39):
Shannon was one of those friends that became family. I
was praying to God that she was somewhere safe.
Speaker 5 (04:59):
We discovered that in April twenty seventeen, the Youngstown Police
Department towed Shannon's car and we had actually had it
in our impound lot.
Speaker 7 (05:10):
Shannon's car was being driven by her boyfriend our Turnavoa
and our Turnavoa committed a traffic violation. There was a
police officer present, tried to pull our turnavo over. Our
Turnavoa flees, He ditches Shannon's car, gets out of the
car and runs and he's apprehended. Shannon's car is then
(05:34):
towed to the impound lot and remain there.
Speaker 5 (05:40):
Artrou got a couple of tickets and was released.
Speaker 9 (05:43):
On the scene, we.
Speaker 5 (05:53):
Found a series of cardboard box tops and we were
able to determined that they had contained bottles of drain cleaner,
which was mainly sulfuric acid.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
That kind of elevates our suspicions is that something else
is going on here besides just a missing person's case.
Speaker 5 (06:41):
John told us that Arturo and Shannon had broken up
and that Arturo was upset about the breakup.
Speaker 6 (06:50):
Shannon and Arturo were toxic with each other, and I
know that he's put his hands on her. She was
tired of it.
Speaker 8 (07:01):
She wanted to get away.
Speaker 6 (07:02):
She wanted to move on and have a better life.
Speaker 5 (07:06):
John reported that a few known individuals had observed Arturo
Novoa burning some of Shannon's items in a fire pit
on the south side of Youngstown, and in fact another
party helped him burn these items, in the person of
Andrew Hermann.
Speaker 9 (07:47):
They seemed to think.
Speaker 5 (07:48):
That there was more to this fire than just burning
up your ex's clothing. Ashes from the firepit were recovered
and we did find a bracelet with block letters with
Shannon's name at that point, we were beginning to think
Shannon might be in trouble, so we were interested in
(08:09):
speaking with Andrew Herman because Andrew is one step closer
to our Turo who won't speak to us at all.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
M Hm m hm, Andrew, I'm detect the labor this is.
I know you you have some information about this. You look,
we're looking for this girl, Shannon.
Speaker 10 (08:49):
Yes, it's been a big thing. I've seeing it everywhere
else everywhere we can't find her.
Speaker 11 (08:54):
Trying to figure out what's anything you can do.
Speaker 12 (08:57):
Basically, I know from mister Artur he was living with
me at one of my past residences and Shannon Graves
also moved in and late winter or at least spring
somewhere around there. I asked him how everything was going,
and he pretty much he told me that she left
(09:18):
him and basically reminded me to help him get rid
of the last of her crap that she left there.
I figured he was being spiteful and I kind of
helped him burn it.
Speaker 10 (09:29):
How did that go down?
Speaker 12 (09:30):
It's just garbage bag, felt like papers and stuff. It
really wasn't heavy, had like a pair of clothes or something.
Pretty much just grabbed some sticks, went to my buddy's
house to carry fire because he let us use his
fire a bit, because I didn't even really ask questions
about it when he asked me to help me burn
that crap.
Speaker 10 (09:50):
I've seen too many crime shows. This does not look good.
I didn't see any bloodstains on him. I don't like
feeling used.
Speaker 12 (09:59):
The more I think about it, the more it's freaking
me out.
Speaker 1 (10:06):
The longer reason I can see if even ask you,
if you actually did something to her and you knew,
that's all I really went. As time goes by, when
she doesn't show up, if she doesn't alive, it's going
to become a murder and he's going to be a
prime suspect, and the facts of the case.
Speaker 11 (10:26):
Would be you were helped and murdership. So if you
have any other knowledge, this is a good time.
Speaker 12 (10:35):
From what everybody's telling me, everybody thinks it's foul play,
and it's starting to worry me because if that was
the case, and if it is foul play, then.
Speaker 10 (10:44):
What the hell did he.
Speaker 9 (10:45):
Have me do?
Speaker 6 (10:56):
Shannon is small but mighty, and she made sure that
you knew it. When she was passionate about something, she
would defend it to her fullest. I used to joke
around and say, Shannon, you're like you're a pit bull
in a Chihuahua's body. And then all of a sudden,
(11:19):
Shannon just goes missing, and I knew something was wrong.
I didn't know what to do.
Speaker 10 (11:52):
Do you have any personal knowledge that she's dead? Yes, sir?
Speaker 11 (12:00):
Did he Did you mention anything? Someone roll?
Speaker 10 (12:03):
He didn't mention anything. He said he left him. There's
some other dude.
Speaker 11 (12:09):
You think he would kill him?
Speaker 12 (12:11):
It's really hard to say, but I've never seen him
have really any urge to be violent.
Speaker 9 (12:23):
H Andrew was cooperative.
Speaker 5 (12:28):
He's not really shown a lot of what I would
call deception. At this point, there was nothing to indicate
Andrew had anything more to do with this than his
role in burning Shandon's things.
Speaker 10 (12:39):
Thanks for coming in.
Speaker 5 (12:43):
After speaking to Andrew, we gleaned no new information than
we had before, so it became important for us to
track down our Touro and speaking with him. During the
(13:13):
phone interview with Arturo, Arturo completely denied all knowledge of
there being at fire or Shannon's things being burnt.
Speaker 9 (13:21):
That was a huge red flag. We knew it happened.
Speaker 5 (13:27):
We knew that Arturo was lying to us.
Speaker 4 (13:47):
He came forth with some information and that Arturo also
had another girlfriend. We learned that Arturo was dating on
and off again for many years Katrina la and we
learned that she was in the picture the same time
that Shannon Graves was in the picture. It was your
(14:07):
stereotypical love triangle of individuals. So naturally we have to
look at her as a strong person of interest.
Speaker 11 (14:23):
Ye, so well, I got you here.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
One of the reasons we've been knocking on doors down
there because we're looking for Shannon.
Speaker 13 (14:39):
Oh yeah, I've heard something about that. I haven't really
been following it all too closely. I was with him
for a long time. He first they got together.
Speaker 14 (14:50):
Me and him were together for seven years, and then,
you know, we just needed a break.
Speaker 13 (14:56):
We splid up for a little bit. They were together
for a very short period of time. We started talking
when we got back together.
Speaker 11 (15:02):
When you moved in the apartment, was there stuff still there?
Speaker 10 (15:05):
No?
Speaker 13 (15:06):
She had taken everything from what I know of.
Speaker 10 (15:09):
Have you seen him using heard her?
Speaker 13 (15:11):
I don't think he ever has. I don't think so.
Speaker 14 (15:14):
I mean when we go a shop and he just
whips out a card, you know, I'm assuming it's his
I mean, as.
Speaker 11 (15:20):
Far as I know, it's her car was still being
used after she disappeared.
Speaker 13 (15:27):
I've never seen him use it. Not that, not that
I know of.
Speaker 5 (15:33):
No, with this welfare card she starts out with, I've
never seen it. But then transitions do not that I
know of. That's a very small queue, but it's an
indication that there's deception there.
Speaker 15 (15:48):
I don't really know details is a problem. I didn't
want to get in any trouble. I don't know what
kind of relationship they have. I'm not going to sugarcoat
anything when it comes to her.
Speaker 13 (15:59):
I never really asked a whole lot of questions.
Speaker 10 (16:02):
I think what I'm telling you right here, does any
of this bother you?
Speaker 14 (16:06):
I mean, I feel bad that she's missing, of course,
because it's never good for somebody.
Speaker 15 (16:10):
It's not if you're asking me if I think he
had anything to do with it.
Speaker 13 (16:15):
No, I don't think you have anything to.
Speaker 10 (16:17):
Do with it.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
Ask everybody this, because we've been looking for this girl now,
well it's been almost it's been more than a walk.
Speaker 14 (16:25):
You think she's alive me personally from her history that
I heard of, I've heard she has a history of disappearing.
Speaker 10 (16:33):
Do you think she killed her.
Speaker 13 (16:36):
No, and I'll tell you why, because I've.
Speaker 15 (16:40):
Known him a very good long time and I've never
once seen a violence side to him.
Speaker 9 (16:45):
Ever.
Speaker 11 (16:47):
When I just asked you that, you swallowed hard, like
you were choking something down. And I was like, holy crap,
some things are like so subtle.
Speaker 10 (16:56):
But I asked you that, and I was like, man,
I've made my blood run cold.
Speaker 14 (17:00):
No, I mean, just to me, it just I don't know.
I mean, it's just a weird question for me.
Speaker 9 (17:07):
I guess.
Speaker 5 (17:15):
All the way to the end of that interview, there's
a degree of weirdness that we're getting from her. At
this point, I'm certain.
Speaker 9 (17:23):
That something's going on and she's revolved.
Speaker 5 (17:36):
We were able to determine that Katrina, Shannon and our
Trull's cards had been used together.
Speaker 16 (17:43):
All three of their welfare.
Speaker 5 (17:45):
Cards were used at the same location within seconds of
each other, months after she's missing. This stuff is all bad,
This is all pointing towards what are you doing and why?
Speaker 2 (18:00):
H nine one one I, uh, my name is, can't
ask him kind of came please it right away. The
gun a dead body and our it's gone, a dead
body in our freeze everybody being my way from you
(18:32):
just noting a dead body freezing, I think it's the same.
Speaker 5 (18:57):
We're led to the back of the house into the basement,
and in the basement is a deep freezer. Inside that
freezer were several black bags and a orange plastic bucket
which contained human remains. It was immediately apparent that we
(19:29):
had the body of a female that was kind of
curled up in the bag. In the bucket there appeared
to be the remains of a human head.
Speaker 7 (19:42):
There was part of the jaw bone left and part
of the spine and that had acid on it. Everything
that was done shocks to conscience. It's depraved, it's unconscionable.
Speaker 5 (19:55):
There was a tattoo on the female's foot which we
were able to identify Shannon from. It changed it from
a missing person to a homicide. Speaking with them, we
(20:24):
learned that the Eshenbahs were friends with Arturo, Katrina, and Shannon.
They all knew each other. According to mister Eshanbah, Arturo
called him and said that his power was going to
be turned off at his apartment and asked him if
he could bring the freezer to his house and plug
it in there. Mister Eshenbah agreed.
Speaker 7 (20:46):
He told us days later, Jill Eshenbaugh is going to
make dinner and opens up the freezer and sees Shan's body.
Speaker 5 (21:01):
At this point, our main focus is arresting and interviewing
Katrina and Arturo.
Speaker 4 (21:28):
A warrant was issued for abuse of a corpse, but
at that point we had no proof that they actually
committed the homicide or dismembered the body.
Speaker 10 (21:38):
So the goal is.
Speaker 4 (21:39):
To get them to tell us everything that they know
about it.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
Katrina that, yeah, earlier in the week.
Speaker 16 (21:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (21:55):
I decided to talk to Katrina first because it was
our tur who burned Shannon's things and actually moved the
freezer to the house and camel So it was important
for me to get as much as I could from
Katrina so that I could use it when I talked
to Arturo. There's been some developments in Shanton's case, and
(22:15):
we're at the point right now where arrested. Oh, so
we're at the point where you got to kind of
pick a side on this because.
Speaker 10 (22:25):
You have some exposure here.
Speaker 5 (22:28):
I felt the best method was to present the evidence
we have to her so that she could come to
the conclusion that it's in her best interest to cooperate
and stop covering for him.
Speaker 10 (22:41):
Well, you know she disappeared right around that last week
of February.
Speaker 11 (22:45):
In March.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
We also know that afterwards, her vile direction card was
used in places where yours and his were at the
same time.
Speaker 14 (22:56):
Well, no, but I've already told you guys that if
he was using that a card, that.
Speaker 13 (23:00):
I didn't know about it.
Speaker 5 (23:02):
She's locking up. There's no answers to anything. So when
we decided to just fire all.
Speaker 9 (23:08):
Guns, give it all to it at once. See what
it does.
Speaker 5 (23:11):
Because you've got nothing to lose.
Speaker 10 (23:16):
Lena, ask you a question, Do you have a freezer
at your house?
Speaker 7 (23:19):
No?
Speaker 13 (23:19):
I don't.
Speaker 10 (23:21):
What you're doing any hope for you is going down
the dream right now.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
If you're gonna continue this kind of crap, you're gonna
leave yourself in the spot with nobody can help you.
Speaker 10 (23:36):
Nobody.
Speaker 17 (23:37):
I was about to tell that we're gonna get a
freezer until we got her for just told I wasn't
with him.
Speaker 13 (23:44):
What do you bought it for you? I gave him.
I'm pretty sure I give him cash.
Speaker 10 (23:49):
So you don't know what day you moved it to Kenny's.
Speaker 13 (23:53):
I didn't know he moved at Kenny's.
Speaker 10 (23:55):
What about the body in the freezer?
Speaker 13 (23:57):
What do you mean body in the freezer?
Speaker 11 (23:59):
What do you talk a body?
Speaker 13 (24:01):
What do you mean there's a body in a freezer?
And what freezer?
Speaker 10 (24:04):
The freezer that you guys bought. Let me show you something.
This is a freezer. This is the body.
Speaker 14 (24:13):
Okay, wait a minute, what are you guys talking about.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
I'm talking about a body the freezer that you bought
put in that house. And there's a girl that's been
missing for a couple of months. Now that the missing
girl is dead in your freezer. I'm looking for some
kind of reaction because.
Speaker 10 (24:37):
You look shocked at all.
Speaker 13 (24:38):
Yeah, no, it's not that. I'm just trying to process everything.
Speaker 17 (24:44):
You guys are sitting here telling me that there's anybody
in this freezer that I did not bring to Kenny's house.
You house, You just told me it was in King's basement,
in King's house.
Speaker 14 (25:00):
Whatever I mean, I'm assuming that I never.
Speaker 10 (25:07):
Told you that.
Speaker 13 (25:21):
Okay, well here's the thing.
Speaker 10 (25:22):
How did you know that?
Speaker 13 (25:27):
But I'm telling you that the last place I knew
of this freezer being was at my new house, right.
Speaker 10 (25:34):
Long place she told us you knew it was was
in Kenny's basement.
Speaker 15 (25:38):
Because that's the only place to put a freezer in
his basement.
Speaker 5 (25:42):
She has an agenda, she has a plan to survive
this interview, and she's running it. And it's going to
take a lot for me to bump her off of that.
Speaker 9 (25:52):
But I'm gonna keep doing it.
Speaker 10 (25:55):
Forget all this. Did you kill her? Were you there
when she was killing?
Speaker 6 (26:00):
Oh?
Speaker 17 (26:00):
What?
Speaker 10 (26:01):
We sure looks like you did.
Speaker 13 (26:03):
No, what do you mean It looks like I did.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
She's in your freezer, the one you paid for it,
so it kind of looks like you killed her.
Speaker 13 (26:10):
I'm sorry, but it wasn't me. I wasn't there. Okay, Well,
I'm telling you that I know nothing about.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Maybe she just showed up and crawled in there were
a new freezer. Happens all the time you leave the
back door lock. Maybe you think, yeah, pretty much. No,
none of this is funny. Getting screwed around by you
is not funny. Here's what I want you to tell me.
I want you to tell me you don't have nothing
else to stay about this. Then you don't know nothing
about that.
Speaker 13 (26:39):
I don't know anything about that.
Speaker 16 (26:41):
I'm good.
Speaker 11 (26:42):
Take the chances.
Speaker 10 (26:45):
Have a seat there we'll be break back.
Speaker 13 (26:47):
Hold on, none, no, hold on.
Speaker 5 (26:50):
We had reached a point where we weren't making any
games with Katrina. She had her story, she had the
lane she wanted to be in, and no matter what
I said, it disruptor from that.
Speaker 13 (27:03):
Come on, katching can I can't kill him?
Speaker 9 (27:11):
Mum?
Speaker 5 (27:20):
What's at stake is the difference between an abusive a
corpse case and the ability to take this into a
murder case.
Speaker 11 (27:29):
Mister Lambert, what is this developments?
Speaker 10 (27:34):
What's that would be?
Speaker 16 (27:34):
Honest?
Speaker 10 (27:38):
I have people that know you saying you brought a
freezer to our house. When they opened it up, that's
what they found. What did they find?
Speaker 1 (27:45):
Why I think you're here? The charges abusive a corpse?
Excuse me, abusive a corpse?
Speaker 10 (27:54):
Are you ain't serious right now? I'm not won't. Man,
this is gonna take so long a job you're gonna
lose your job. Did you hear what I said saying
about you're a dishwasher job anymore?
Speaker 1 (28:13):
There's a body in a freezer and the guy said,
you've brought it to the house, your dishwasher job, and
I'm back, is okay? That's that's a weird thing for
you to say, like, my job's done.
Speaker 10 (28:29):
I don't understand how any of this would make sense
to me in the first place. Okay, let's make sense
of that. Do you use Fan's direction card regularly?
Speaker 1 (28:37):
No?
Speaker 10 (28:37):
I used to shoot Okay.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
So in March in April when you were using your
direction card, did.
Speaker 10 (28:45):
You happen to be with her? So you want to
ask me about somebody else direction card? As if what
you're telling me isn't bad enough.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
As if after I tell you you're worried about body
in a freezer, direction card fraud is Yeah.
Speaker 12 (29:01):
Absolutely, Can I make a phone call because I'm gonna
need to obviously get a hold of the lawyer.
Speaker 10 (29:09):
Oh, would you like to talk to the lawyer? I
would like to call my lawyer. I guess.
Speaker 5 (29:25):
When a suspects ask for a lawyer, number one is
the right, but number two it doesn't mean.
Speaker 9 (29:30):
It's the end of the case. And at this.
Speaker 5 (29:32):
Point we had a abuse of a welfare card and
an abuse of a corpse case, and not yet a
murder case. We still had to go back and talk
to Katrina again. And my approach is going to be like, look,
he's pointing at.
Speaker 16 (29:49):
You, Patrina.
Speaker 18 (30:02):
Okay, Hey, Kittlers. You say you don't know nothing about
no freezer. Why would you say that? Alright, you go
any more, Trainer.
Speaker 11 (30:24):
You see he doesn't know nothing about.
Speaker 10 (30:25):
No freezer, and you're making that up.
Speaker 11 (30:27):
And you realize, always gotta do say that, Always gotta
do is train you for him.
Speaker 10 (30:32):
That's it. That's where he's at right now. You see
where it is going. You understand where I can in
this road.
Speaker 11 (30:41):
Superboy supposed to do is tell the truth.
Speaker 10 (30:44):
I don't care what he said before. Just tell the truth.
Speaker 1 (30:47):
Tell us what you know about everything. Stop doing this
and just tell the truth. You're you're living you some
(31:15):
wide open other things. You gotta understand what it looks like.
She's freed your boyfriend, then she disappeared, and then she's
in your freezer. Just tell me what happened. It's gotta
be better than when it looks.
Speaker 16 (31:28):
I don't.
Speaker 13 (31:28):
I don't know anymore.
Speaker 10 (31:30):
Katrina, Did you kill her? No?
Speaker 16 (31:33):
Okay?
Speaker 13 (31:34):
And I didn't bring that freeze again.
Speaker 11 (31:36):
Eathy, Katrina.
Speaker 10 (31:37):
Did you take her apart? No? Did you put her
in that freezing No?
Speaker 17 (31:46):
I mean I just know that the whole time we
were at the apartment, she wasn't there.
Speaker 13 (31:50):
My brain hurts from all this. I didn't know that
she was there. I didn't know that she was in
that freezer.
Speaker 1 (31:58):
Okay, stop everything else. Tell me what happened, please so
we can cause this has been way too long.
Speaker 10 (32:07):
Listen to me.
Speaker 11 (32:08):
I can't keep this up all night. So if you guys,
you need to say it.
Speaker 10 (32:15):
It's just.
Speaker 16 (32:17):
I don't know.
Speaker 10 (32:18):
You know it.
Speaker 13 (32:19):
Something happened. They don't or body.
Speaker 10 (32:23):
I don't. I I don't know.
Speaker 13 (32:24):
I I don't know. I I can't. I can't see
that he killed her between that he killed them.
Speaker 5 (32:29):
Okay, we're at the point now where it's apparent nothing
more is gonna come out of there. These interviews confirmed
to me that the two had a story that they
were gonna use and stick to. They both have knowledge
(32:50):
of what was going on, and they were gonna run
their game plan. But we're gonna keep playing this and
this is not our last chance.
Speaker 10 (32:59):
Chance.
Speaker 5 (33:00):
Hey, we cemented their abuse of a corpse case without
really implicating them in the murder.
Speaker 9 (33:17):
We're going to pick up.
Speaker 5 (33:19):
Whatever scraps we can and try to put a case together.
Speaker 7 (33:42):
While Alturn Novoa wouldn't really talk about the case. When
I go through Katrina's phone calls. I see calls to
her friend, whose nickname is Nicki, and they got into
an argument, and Niki is telling Katrina, you have to
leave Novoa. You have to get away from him.
Speaker 13 (34:02):
Nicky. Please the fuck.
Speaker 17 (34:04):
I'm not people like I'm over here in that for real.
Speaker 18 (34:08):
I don't care.
Speaker 7 (34:08):
I don't over it too.
Speaker 13 (34:10):
I'm over it.
Speaker 4 (34:10):
You pretend, Mike it's okay.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
It's not okay, Trina.
Speaker 18 (34:16):
He is a killer, and you know, I know, I know,
I know that he's a murderer.
Speaker 10 (34:20):
He's a murderer.
Speaker 7 (34:24):
The prison jail calls were a big old moment. So
I had Mike Lambert called Nicki and we all we
drove out to Connecticut and we interviewed Nicki. Nicki really
is the only person that really tells.
Speaker 10 (34:40):
Us what happened.
Speaker 5 (34:43):
Katrina told her that in February twenty seventeen, Katrina came
to the apartment and found arturo sitting in the corner crying,
and when she asked him what was wrong, Arturroll pointed
her towards the bathroom where Katrina found Shannon dead.
Speaker 7 (35:09):
Katrina tells Nikki, if we wrapped her in the shower curtain,
we put her in the trunk of my car and
we put the body in the garage. Our Turnovoa calls
Nicki and says to Nikki, yeah, it's true I killed Shannon.
It was an accident. I didn't mean to do it.
Please don't tell anyone. Well, Nicki tells us, that's the
(35:32):
evidence that we have that our turn of was the
killer of Shannon Graves. The dominoes just fell that we
re indict the case. We indicted our Turnavo and Katrina
Layton for aggrade murder. H So when we walked in,
(36:13):
I put the reports right in front of her in
the attorney and her attorney said, oh boy. And I said, okay, Katrina,
and now you want to tell us what's going on here?
Speaker 19 (36:24):
Well?
Speaker 13 (36:24):
I had without a pole problem.
Speaker 10 (36:28):
True, Yeah he was.
Speaker 11 (36:32):
I remember that he was. He was upset.
Speaker 19 (36:35):
So when he comes to the house, I don't really
know what the hell is going could I mean eating
hold instead.
Speaker 14 (36:41):
Of the dock of the house, and she was an
inchlam the way happens, he got the.
Speaker 13 (36:47):
Court consider ours. I remember saying, well, you can't, you
can't leave her strong. At that point I realized, you know,
I couldn't. I kind oft lift up slid a little
bit that she was happy I didn't handle the torso
in my head, But no, I was.
Speaker 17 (37:12):
I was already freaking out, you know, yes, what I
called answer.
Speaker 5 (37:18):
Katrina revealed that Andrew Herman helped Arturo dismember Shandon. It
does give us something to talk to Andrew about. The
only difference is now we're confronting him with what Katrina
told us about him actually participating.
Speaker 9 (37:31):
In the dismemberment.
Speaker 5 (37:33):
A big difference between burning someone's things and cutting them Apart.
Speaker 10 (37:47):
To whose idea is to word? They asked, how's that
coming about.
Speaker 13 (37:52):
I didn't look up support pass. I just looked.
Speaker 11 (37:56):
Did what to say?
Speaker 5 (38:00):
Katrina Layton began to give more information, although it wasn't
really in a direction that would lead to any more
than the abuse of a corpse case with her and Arturo.
So after speaking to Katrina, it became real important to
(38:20):
talk to Andrew because we were interested in hearing what
he had to say about the actual murder of Shannon.
Speaker 7 (38:51):
We proffered him, we met him, as I told his lawyer.
I said, look, if Andrew wants to be cooperative, he
needs to do it. Otherwise he's in a world of hurt.
It's really important to me, I said, a lot of cannon.
So what happened?
Speaker 10 (39:10):
Yes, me to meet him? Stay meeting? What would you do?
And I'd be over there.
Speaker 19 (39:19):
He told me to pick up a parom stacks and
opened the up.
Speaker 11 (39:25):
I did.
Speaker 10 (39:30):
Who was inside ship? I started freaking out?
Speaker 19 (39:35):
So I can face all down? I asked him one
mm hmm, you can tell you how she done it now?
It was pretty godless. Would you see the head was taken,
(39:55):
it's bashed in. Okay, that's what happened to that.
Speaker 10 (40:01):
Told me he needs my help to make her small.
Speaker 19 (40:06):
We'll just should you dismember in the video shape?
Speaker 10 (40:13):
How'd you continue?
Speaker 19 (40:14):
Blood made out part of the guys with the grub
expands comes from?
Speaker 10 (40:21):
And what did you do after that? And then what happened?
But he said, our advisor said, I can't help you
any further. This can't your knowledge.
Speaker 11 (40:36):
What happened to Shannon and Maze at the end after that.
Speaker 10 (40:40):
Day, I have no knowledge. And you ever asked about acid? Yeah, yes,
the kind of acids for that kind of thing that's
holdenot watch that.
Speaker 5 (40:54):
In the end, I think that we got as close
to the truth in this matter as we possibly could.
Speaker 4 (41:16):
For the first time, the brother and sister of Shannon
Graves confronted the man who killed her and asked for justice.
Speaker 13 (41:24):
We're fighting.
Speaker 15 (41:27):
Hoping that we can get as much time as possible
for him to go away.
Speaker 13 (41:32):
We don't want him ever to be out. We don't
want him to ever be able to hurt anybody else.
Speaker 4 (42:12):
I really do believe that justice was served. It speaks
to the tenacity and the dedication of the investigators. Detective
Lambert is the investigator that I would want because he
doesn't stop until there's nowhere else to turn.
Speaker 7 (42:30):
Justice for Shannon is important to bring her family some peace.
Her sister, her brother, her father. Never sought people who
did this to her to be punished for it.
Speaker 6 (42:42):
It's life altering losing someone like Shannon. So there's definitely
a gaping hole in everybody's heart without Shannon.
Speaker 8 (42:55):
She was special, She was one of a kind and
I miss her.
