🎙️T.W.A.C. Season 1 – Episode 18 – 🎙️ Locked, Loaded & Unafraid: Standing Up to Crime, Control, and Putting Safety First!

🎙️ Hosted by Dr. Garland Brinkey, Ph.D. & Patricia Brinkey, Esq.

Open Conversation with Intelligent Explanation 🧨

In this hard-hitting episode, the Brinkleys welcome two unapologetic defenders of freedom: Lt. Col. (Ret.) Dave Flippo, USAF, and Congressional Candidate for NV-4 (R) and Roger Salinas, licensed gun owner and proprietor of Sheepdog Gun Armory in N. Las Vegas. Together, they break down the realities of gun rights, the creeping overreach of the DC federal machine, and why Nevada must draw a line in the sand against rising crime and restrictive federal gun laws from the previous administration.

🔴 What does federal “oversight” really mean for your 2nd Amendment rights?
🔴 Why armed citizens remain the backbone of community safety.
🔴 How Nevada can resist the soft-on-crime wave sweeping the nation.

With a veteran’s discipline and a gun shop owner’s frontline insight, Flippo and Salinas pull no punches — exposing the political, legal, and cultural battles that determine whether Nevadans remain free to defend themselves.

This is T.W.A.C! at full force — cutting through media spin, challenging political cowardice, and bringing real-world solutions straight from those who’ve served and those who stand ready.

“Open Conversation with Intelligent Explanation” ® – We welcome all listeners — conservative, independent, and liberal — who care about their rights and their community.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Las Vegas, Nevada. It's time for straight talk and real solution.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
We're breaking down the issues that matter to you with
no spend, just the truth.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
From the strip to mainstream.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
We're keeping it real for hard working Americans.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
This is Talk with a Conservative, Open conversation, with intelligent explanation.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Las Vegas and Nevada, let's talk. Welcome to talk with
a Conservative. I'm Garland Brinkley, actually doctor Brinkley, and I
ran for a semi District one in twenty twenty two
and again in twenty twenty four. I'm a retired university professor.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
And I'm Patricia Brinkley, and I ran for Senate District
one in North Las Vegas last year, and I am
an attorney. And you're welcome to talk with a conservative.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Tonight. We're joined by special guest Jeff Compton, who owns
the Trump Store. You guys got to see that. Roger
of Sheep Dog Armory should be here shortly, and retired
Lieutenant Colonel Dave Flippo is our guest host tonight and
a candidate for Congressional District four.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
So welcome, Oh, let's welcome Jeff, Yes.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Hello, Prise, Hello Garland. Nice to be with you tonight.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Hello, Jeff, how are you.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
I'm doing well.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
Thanks.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Let's see. The Trump Store is located at twenty two
twenty Paradise Road and actually assess Sahara and Paradise. It's
in a little shopping center there, so everyone out there
you should go see it. It's just amazing. I question, Jeff,
the merchandise you have is so buried in a lot of it.

(01:55):
How did you find out about it? How do you
get that stuff?

Speaker 5 (02:00):
Well?

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Thank you, Garland. You know, the shirts are actually the
backbone of our business. And my brother in law, Greg
Chapman just as a phenomenal jobs. He's part artists, part
conservative movement minded and just a great feel and and

(02:27):
and a great idea for putting you know, the pictures
and the words together. And you know, when Trump says
something on the news, it seems the next day we
have a shirt coming out, you know, memorializing that. And
you know, there's there's about eighty independent Trump stores across

(02:47):
the nation. And he started three or four years ago
doing shirts and selling them to other stores, and so
it was a natural progression for us to open up
our own store and uh and and sell those shirts
and so we have over fifty different designs of those.

(03:10):
And then uh, you know, hats are another big seller,
and of course the the iconic make American Great Again
red hat, you know those, you know, we actually buy
him from the same place that you know Trump has
when he's throwing them into the into the audience, has
give them giving them away. You know, we actually sell

(03:31):
that exact hat. And then uh, all of the curios,
mementos and all the collectibles.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
That we have.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
You know, that's just as as you said, finding the
places that that you can source some from, you know,
all around the world. You know, it's not one company
that would make a lighter, a koozy, a glass, you know,
a little statue, or a bobble head. You know, it's

(04:02):
more a company that makes bobbleheads decides to make a
Trump bobblehead, and then a company that makes mints makes
Trump mints, you know, and then we have to go
out and find all those individual suppliers and then we
bring all of those together curate our inventory to have
a good representation of what's out there and what So,

(04:25):
what is.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
The most unique item that you sell?

Speaker 3 (04:28):
You know, unique item? It's tough because you know, we
we think that we have something unique and then pops
up that we didn't even see. You know, something fascinating
we have right now that's selling a lot is a
Trump duster. You know, if somebody wants to dust the
fall in their office. Yeah, you know, it's his head

(04:53):
with and the hair on the top of his head
is actually the dusting mechanism that you use.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
We have a caller hold on Tarlor Hello.

Speaker 5 (05:03):
Yes, yeah, because I was trying to call in about
Trump and him putting a National Guard in CC and
what I'm listening to is not the same conversation we're having.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Well, now what do you think about that? Are you
pro against it?

Speaker 5 (05:20):
Totally against it? Do you know anything about the posse commatism?

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (05:25):
Why is he sending troops into a a state that
has no overall crime that uh literally.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Has It's Halloween and he has sent in like the
Marines to protect federal employees.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
True protecting off the streets and sending like most of
them are veterans. What's you're talking about? It makes absolutely
no sense why you would And the National Guard, who
has no authority to prosecute, no authority to a rust anyone, no.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Authority to the president has authority to send the National
Guard whenever he deems they.

Speaker 5 (06:16):
May have authority to do it, but he has no
authority to a rust anyone upon it.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Well, we're not even talking about she's talking about in
d C.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
I'm talking about in d C. What the policy sending
the National Guarden.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
He's trying to maintain safety in d C. Did you
see that there was a riot? Hen he was because
it's unsafe there and he's trying to is in d C.

Speaker 6 (06:56):
It's the highest crimeery her. So you've got so he
has federalized the UH police force in DC. He can
do that for up to forty eight hours and UH
and that is well within his right. He's trying to
clean up DC to make it a place where people
can come and be safe.

Speaker 7 (07:18):
We have.

Speaker 6 (07:18):
This is our nation's capital, and our nation's capital needs
to be a place where people can have security and safety.

Let's talk, and we're here with Jeff Compton on the
phone and our special co hosts. Guest today retired Lieutenant
Colonel Dave Flippo, who's donning for City four. Welcome Dave.

Speaker 7 (09:55):
And you actually you.

Speaker 6 (09:56):
Had the last word on that ca Well, that was
that was really good to hear from her. You know,
it's it's you know, it's good for us to hear
from both sides.

Speaker 7 (10:03):
And uh. And they need to be able to listen.
And she didn't know a whole lot of listening.

Speaker 6 (10:08):
They don't look if they you know, if they want to,
we're going to listen to them.

Speaker 7 (10:11):
They need to listen to us.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
So, Jeff, are you still there? Jeff, yes, So yeah,
So what do you have to say about that last calling?

Speaker 3 (10:22):
You know, I find it interesting, Uh, if if you
listen to some people, such as the caller or some
of the mainstream media, you hear about things that they
perceive that are terrible. And the United States has fallen
apart and it's a terrible place. But it's really interesting

(10:43):
that just this week we had somebody in our store
from Las Vegas. We had somebody at the same time
from Great Britain and another person from Holland and and
they were discussing the perception if you listen to some
of the mainstream media, but the reality is. They were

(11:05):
saying that if you go to most places in the
world and you offer somebody a golden ticket for United
States citizenship, would you go and almost, you know, in
their feelings, almost everybody would want to come to the
United States because it is the greatest country in the world,

(11:25):
and everybody wants to be here, whether it's through legal
or of course illegal immigration. Prove that too, that people
from all over the world are doing anything they can
to try and come here because it is a great country.
And so I find it interesting when you hear people
like that last caller and their perception that the reality

(11:47):
is really America is really a great place to.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Be, you know, the perception of one person versus another.
I mean, she didn't realize that the city. I've been
there before a couple of times, and it's not a
very safe city, and she did not want to acknowledge
that so you know, we just have people that are
living in their own little bubble. So anyway, so let's see, Dave,

(12:17):
what did you have to say about that last call?

Speaker 6 (12:21):
Now, you know, I get out and I get out
a lot, and I like to hear from both sides,
and a lot of times you'll get exactly what happened there.
Where it's more of an argument, it's more of a
they won't You can't get your your thoughts out because
they just have something in their head that you know
that they want to say factual or not factual.

Speaker 7 (12:42):
I mean, it is unsafe in DC.

Speaker 6 (12:44):
And the president is what what we haven't experienced in
a long time is real leadership. And the President is
out there providing real leadership. He's being the adult in
the room. And he's going to clean up DC. Because
if we can clean up d C, and look, that
be the shining example, think about what that's going to
do to all the other.

Speaker 7 (13:03):
Cities in the in the States.

Speaker 6 (13:04):
Right, So other people are going to take exactly what
he did there, and he's going they're going to go, Wow,
if all it took was a stroke of a pen
and some actual enforcement, actual consequences, we can do that.

Speaker 7 (13:17):
In our city.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
But you know, DC is our nation's capital. It should
be one of the premier cities in our country. And
so for what's going on there, and particularly the other
night when they had that the shootings and everything going
on at the Navy Yard, I mean, that's unacceptable for
our capital. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (13:37):
Absolutely, Yeah, it's time to clean it up. And I
think what President's doing with his leadership and Pam Bondi
and the Attorney General and everything, we're going to see.
We are going to see a new look in DC.
And he's not you know, he's not just kicking people out.
He's he's talking about housing people and he's taking care
of people. He knows, he's empathetic, he knows that there's problems.

(13:59):
He's just trying to solve that problem.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
You know, there's so many people that believe in anarchy
that when a leader steps forward and wants to clean
up the city, he wants to make sure that the
homeless are taken care of, the vets are taking care of,
and then they want to distort that and think that
he's a dictator, you know, sending in the National Guard.

Speaker 7 (14:22):
Or they're in denial.

Speaker 6 (14:23):
That says, what crime are you talking about prove it,
you know, but they don't give you a chance to
talk about that.

Speaker 7 (14:28):
They just throw some things out so.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Well too often they try and talk over you so
you can't make your point and they clearly don't listen.
We're joined with Roger from Chief Dog Armory tonight.

Speaker 8 (14:40):
So welcome Roger, Thank you, thank you, appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
Yeah, so just introduce everyone again. We have Jeff Compton
from the Trump Store on the phone. We have a
flippo running for CD four in the studio, and we
have Roger of Sheet Dog Armory here, Gun Armory here.

Speaker 8 (14:59):
Yes, yes, excuse me, yeah, we have to be a
little specific.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
Yes, yes, yes, And one thing I have to say,
I was looking at your website and it was very
interesting to me that that let me find it here
the way you addressed your business. Okay, it says on
Facebook it says that Sheep Dog Armory is a veteran

(15:23):
owned store and you provide services to the military and
law enforcement. Correct. Yes, but also you had this little saying,
oh it says there are sheep wolves and the sheep Dog.
Sheep dogs protect those who can't inspire and be a

(15:45):
sheep dog. I thought that was so fascinating.

Speaker 8 (15:48):
Thank you, Thank you.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
So tell us a little bit about your store.

Speaker 8 (15:52):
Well, my wife and I opened the store back in
twenty twenty during right in the middle of the pandemic.
Are grand opening on was the September twentieth of twenty twenty.
You know, we opened it because quite honestly, we had
both kind of run the course on our current jobs
at that time and we just wanted to do something

(16:14):
for ourselves. I had a store in California years ago,
and uh so we just decided to do this and
you know, make the best go of it that we could.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Okay, callers, our number is seven zero two two two
one seven two eight three. You can email us at
TWAC Radio Show at gmail dot com, or you can
write your comments on x at TWAC Radio Show.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
When I wanted to forget about the Conservative Town Hall
of North Las Vegas. It's eleven forty five to one
thirty at one eight seven zero West Craig Road in
North Lost Vegas. It's a no host lend, so so
you know it means you can have anything you want,
but we have to pay for it. Our next speaker
is Alex Slack and so you know, our first speaker

(17:01):
two years ago. So the Conservative Town Hall of North
Las Vegas has been in operation every month for two years.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
And so we'll be celebrating on September fourth at eighteen
seventy Wes Craig Road in North Las Vegas. So make
sure you ARESVP. You don't want to miss this event.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
So besides Alex, you can talk to or meet with
Garland or Patricia.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Okay, So, Roger, how long have you been in the
farm arm business?

Speaker 8 (17:32):
Well, if you count the first go around that I
had in California, I guess you could say eight years
now total. I've been dabbling with firearms since I was
working with the military, So I guess my influence was
my father previous to that, and my expertise came from

(17:54):
the military with working with the firearms disassembly and all
that type of you know, coutremont that comes with that.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
So so you were in the military.

Speaker 8 (18:02):
No, Actually, that's that's a misnomer. I was a contractor
in the military. So I just want to correct that.
So and for some reason I tell people that and
they just automatically assume I'm an editor.

Speaker 7 (18:12):
I am not.

Speaker 8 (18:13):
I don't want to. I don't want to you know,
miss say something, misrepresent something that's not true. I am
a contractor. I have worked with the military directly. I've
worked with all four branches, five if you include the Coastguard. However,
you know that being said, you know, we we are
very proud of our military and service members and patrol
officers and you know everybody that's first responders. Uh, so

(18:36):
we we do our very best in our store to
do what we can for them. Uh, you know, in
all respects.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
Okay, because I noticed that you provide services to the
military and to the law enforcements.

Speaker 7 (18:47):
Yes, yes, yes, yes.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
Do do concealed carry classes.

Speaker 8 (18:51):
So we partner with National Triad Defense and TD Brandon
Burns is our partner in that. Uh you'll see him
a lot if you watch our YouTube videos on Sheetdug
and Army channel on YouTube. So he, he and I
have been I guess we've been partnered for about three
years now and it's been a great partnership. You know,
we work together and a couple of different ventures, you know,

(19:13):
the YouTube channel and also with his conceal carry class.
So in that partnership, we direct people to his class
because it's a fantastic class. He's very on it. He's
very professional, you know, and you just can't get a
better concealed carry class information. You're going to get overloaded
with information, but what you need sticks with you.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
So do you have a separate classes for women?

Speaker 8 (19:36):
There are actually not really separate classes CCW classes for women,
but we can put you in contact with people who actually,
you know, assist women with that type of stuff.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Okay, So we have a couple of callers. Hello caller,
how you doing? Miss Briefly, Hello, Frank, how are you Okay?
What's your question? And to who you want to you
direct your question too.

Speaker 7 (20:03):
The gentleman who runs sheet Dog Garmory.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
Okay, Roger, Okay, go ahead, It's Frank.

Speaker 8 (20:08):
Roger number one.

Speaker 5 (20:09):
Your guys is customer service is phenomenal.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
By the way, just so you know, I'm a customer
there all the time.

Speaker 8 (20:14):
Oh, thank you so much. Appreciate that we do our best.

Speaker 6 (20:18):
Yes, I'm also a CCW instructor, and your guys is discipline.

Speaker 7 (20:22):
And that shop is wonderful.

Speaker 8 (20:24):
My question to you is when are you going to
let me buy that orange a?

Speaker 7 (20:28):
Are you going?

Speaker 8 (20:31):
Yeah? I'm sure, but everybody asked me that. And now
I'll say this, there is a kit in the store
that you're welcome to pick up, and you know we
can we can help you with that.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
Okay, thank you, Frank. Did you have anything else to say?

Speaker 6 (20:45):
No, just letting people know their prices and their customer services.

Speaker 7 (20:48):
Phenomenal sheet dog Garmory.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
Well, thank you for one customer.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Satisfied customer.

Speaker 8 (20:55):
I appreciate that. Definitely appreciate.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
Our next caller is, Hello, Rich, I'm here.

Speaker 7 (21:01):
Can you hear me?

Speaker 1 (21:02):
Yes, we can.

Speaker 5 (21:03):
Hi, Mike, Well, good.

Speaker 4 (21:04):
Evening to you, and good evening to Roger and Colonel.
Nice hearing from you. I just have I still here.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
Yes, you're still there.

Speaker 4 (21:13):
Go ahead, okay for the misinformed caller. Our niece's capital
in DC is the highest, has the highest homicide rate
of any other world capital, world capital. And if DC
were a state, God forbid, it would have the highest
homica at homicide rate of any other state. And I

(21:33):
had a brother who was an elevator operator in Cannon
House office building up at the Capitol. He lived around
on Constitution Avenue. He had to walk on crutches. He
drug himself to and from work for thirty five years.
He was mugged thirty twenty seven times because they'd kicked
his crutches out from under him, because they had a
newspaper bag around his neck and he had a shirt

(21:54):
in there and some pants in case he needed to
change once he got to work. But he was mugged
twenty seven times times, either going or coming home, and
he had his nose broken seven times, and he was
disabled as they come, and nobody was ever arrested. Nobody
was ever arrested, and nothing has shanged. Well, I'm real
proud of what President I'm real proud of what President

(22:15):
Trump has done. And I presume your guests feel the
same way.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
Yes, And let's ask Roger and Dave.

Speaker 4 (22:24):
Well.

Speaker 8 (22:25):
I would say that President Trump is doing a fantastic job.
It's no secret, you know, we we support him and
everything that he's doing. And I believe that his efforts
in DC are you know, going to be very fruitful.
Pretty much everything he touches it just works out. And
you know, you can't you can't not back that.

Speaker 6 (22:45):
Yeah, absolutely, I totally agree.

Speaker 4 (22:47):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (22:47):
You know, when the forefathers, uh you know, started this nation,
they never envisioned that CDC would be you know, controlled
with the mayor and all that stuff. It was supposed
to be a separate entity, not a part of thing,
and now it's gone so far as they want to
try to make it a state, and it's kind of
gotten crazy constitution absolutely, but you know some people like

(23:10):
to ignore that. But right now what we have is
a little liberal activist judges in Washington, d C. That
when you commit a crime even you know, no matter
whether it's murder, whether it's attempted murder, these people are
out on the streets and no time and so when
there's no repercussion, there's no accountability, and there's there you know,
there's nothing to counter your actions. You end up with

(23:32):
the problem that we have. And it's not just Washington,
d C. It's throughout the country.

Speaker 1 (23:36):

(24:57):
we'll give you straight talk and deliberate bastion now. But
please call in and.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
Just to piggyback on what we were just talking about.
Dave as a candidate, you've been back and forth to
from Las Vegas to d C several times this year.

Speaker 7 (25:12):
I've been there more times than I can count, even more.

Speaker 6 (25:15):
But you know, I wanted to talk a little bit
about the Second Amendment and d C and you know
gun control. Right, So how is it that Washington, d
C can have such a high homice hunt rate when
you shouldn't even have a weapon there?

Speaker 7 (25:29):
Right? I can ask exactly that's what.

Speaker 8 (25:32):
That's what anytime you take the weapons away from the
law abiding citizen. That's when your gun rates, your gun crimes,
and any all crimes go up because the people have
no way to defend themselves.

Speaker 4 (25:43):
You know.

Speaker 8 (25:43):
Sure they could say, oh well they could use a
knife or whatever, but what are they doing. In England,
they're outlying the the knives now.

Speaker 7 (25:49):
Yeah, machetes are outload.

Speaker 8 (25:50):
So it's just you know, it's a couple of steps
away from everything else they want to take away. So
I think arming the people is very important.

Speaker 6 (25:58):
You know what's interesting is, you know, when you take
away the weapons from the you know, the citizens, right,
the only people that are going to have weapons are
the criminals who don't care about the laws anyway exactly.
So if they're already going to break the law anyway,
they don't care if they have a gun.

Speaker 8 (26:13):
Yeah, well, I'll be honest, we don't get too many
criminals in our store, so you know, they can't pass
the background They probably come in and look around and
you know, I mean, let's be honest, everybody in our
shore is armed. But yeah, they're not going to pass
the background check. They're getting their stuff on the streets
or somewhere else, and that's that's, you know, something for
the police to deal with. But all I'm saying is,

(26:34):
you know, everybody that is legal toy should have a
firearm and know how to use it correctly. You know,
train with it properly and be proficient with your weapon.

Speaker 6 (26:43):
I think it's interesting on the statistics of you know,
when there's gun free zones versus non gun free zones,
and you know, if a criminal knows that he can
go into place and that nobody else has a weapon,
he has the upper hand, right.

Speaker 8 (26:55):
It's like candy beat, Yeah it is. And that's what
And you know, for me for saying so, and I
know it's kind of taboo sometimes, but you know that
that's why school shootings are so so common nowadays. You know,
it's because it's a gun free zone. And I think
I think criminals, knowing that it's a gun free zone,
they're of course going to go there because it's it's
easier prey.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
Well, you would.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
Think that someone will come up and say that we
should have a least armed guards in the school.

Speaker 8 (27:23):
You know, there's so many veterans that come back with
so much skills. Why not give them the ability to
protect our children. I'm totally for that. I'm sure mister Flippo.

Speaker 6 (27:33):
Is as well well, not just that there's a lot
of veterans that are teachers, absolutely and they're already trained.

Speaker 7 (27:39):
Yeah. Right, so I think I think it would deter you.

Speaker 6 (27:43):
Know, it may not stop one hundred percent, but it's
going to deter any criminal to go into a school
or any other gun free zone if they know that
at least there's a high percentage of people that are
carrying exactly.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
Our call in number is seven zero two two two
one seven two eight three, or you can reach it
sat TWAC radio show at gmail dot com or on
x and So I just wanted to say this about
restrictions on guns because some states where we came from, California,
they would, uh, little by little, put more and more

(28:17):
restrictions on you by the laws that they would implement,
and by the time we left, I think they were
trying to do making you you couldn't buy ammunition, ammunition
without going through a state.

Speaker 7 (28:34):
Not only that, they're taxing it to death. Yes, you know, so.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
They find ways to really get the gun owner. If
it's not one way, it's another.

Speaker 8 (28:42):
I believe Firearm's Policy Coalition just got uh got their
case settled in court where they can't do that anymore.

Speaker 7 (28:49):
They can't.

Speaker 8 (28:50):
Absolutely, they can't pass those back on.

Speaker 6 (28:52):
You know, for those that remember back in the Obama
administration where they took primers away, they limited the primers.

Speaker 7 (28:58):
And and then prices just hierrocketeds. Right, So yeah, we
got to stop that.

Speaker 6 (29:04):
You know, people have to have the right to own
a weapon, protect themselves in particular family, and.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
They should be able to go to the classes to
learn how to operate their weapon. You know, I think
that's very fundamental. And I asked you about women's classes.
Sometimes they do have concealed concealed carrying classes for just
women because sometimes the weapons aren't they're not as quick

(29:31):
as a man who's dealing with their weapons.

Speaker 8 (29:34):
Absolutely. You know, we actually have a there's a girl
group up at Clark County Shooting Range. It's called a
Girl and a Gun fantastic organization. It's all women. There's
no men allowed, not even the ones that Obama likes
to say our men or women. So basically it's you know,
you go up there, you're a woman, They go through

(29:54):
all the safety steps with you. If you have your weapon,
they instruct you on how to fire your weapon. It's
a step by step process. My wife actually went and
took the class just so she could understand how that
class operated and so she could recommend it to other
women as well. So we you know, when we recommend stuff,
it's because we've actually went out and tried it ourselves
to make sure it's quality and that it's doing what

(30:15):
it's supposed to be doing.

Speaker 6 (30:17):
And I want to go back to that, you know,
the first caller we had, right, I really do, because
it kind of goes back to this being able to
defend yourself. And if she honestly thinks that it's safe
in Washington d C, I would challenge her, go right,
walk around and midnight, walk around any time of the day,
you know, and then and then come back and call

(30:38):
into the show after you're done and tell me what
you think. Now, it's gonna be a different d C
once President Trump's done with it, so you can be
thankful for that. But if you're still out there, a
challenge you go to d C see for yourself if
it's safe and walk around alone.

Speaker 7 (30:52):
And if you're not willing to do that, then be careful.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
So you know what I think. Hopefully it will he
will clean it up in time for the two hundred
and fiftieth anniversion.

Speaker 7 (31:03):
That's going to be amazing. Oh we got it.

Speaker 6 (31:05):
Next year is going to be an amazing year. What
a year to celebrate two hundred and fifty years of
this nation.

Speaker 8 (33:20):
You're fine.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
And then also our guest's co host today is retired
Lieutenant Colonel Dave Flipple, candidate for City four. Absolutely and
so your shop is on.

Speaker 8 (33:33):
Ann Road, Annon Simmons up in the North Las Vegas area.
We've been there for five years now. We opened up
in September of twenty twenty. We're actually getting ready to
move two doors over from where we are right now.
It's for our customers, you know, so when they come in,
they're not so crowded. It's going to be double the space.
And also for the health of our benefits for our employees.

(33:55):
You know, we have great employees and we want to
make sure they're taken care of. So you know, we're
we were kind of fighting for space in the back.
Now they're actually going to have their own space for
a break room and you know, just be able to
break off if they need you for a minute. So
it's going to be a great spot. Everybody should come
check it out. We're gonna have our grand opening on
August twenty third. It's a Saturday. We're gonna have a

(34:15):
lot of great vendors there. You know, a lot of
a lot of manufacturers are showing up to help us out,
and you know it's going to be a nice, big party.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
So now what time would start.

Speaker 8 (34:24):
Ten am to six pm? So we're gonna have a
lot of giveaways prizes. We've already had a suppressor company
actually say they're going to donate a couple of suppressors
to give away you know, my partner Brandon is going
to give away a couple of sixty W classes. So
if you're looking for that type of stuff, stop on in.

Speaker 7 (34:40):
I tell you giveaway. Is it a gun shop? I don't.
It doesn't getting better than that?

Speaker 1 (34:47):
Yeah, So couldn't you tell us what if you don't mind?
What is your favorite firearm? If you have one?

Speaker 8 (34:55):
I so it's kind of hard to say because there's
a lot of favorite it's you know, every gun has
a has a reason why it's a favorite. I guess
I would like b cms. They're they're really well made.
You know, there's a lot to be said for Daniel Defenses.
Uh Patriot Ordnance Factory. We actually just did a video

(35:16):
on one of those. It was a fantastic rifle, you know,
handgun wise, I mean you can go glock, you could
go uh. You know, there's there's so many shadow systems.
There's there's a lot of them out there right now.
Cannick is really stepping up their game. So if anybody's
looking for some really cool canicks, I mean, you know,

(35:38):
they've got the Tti series now it's coming out coming
out with a brand new and a dark series. So
a lot of good stuff coming from the Canic groups.

Speaker 7 (35:46):
What about the.

Speaker 6 (35:47):
Sorry that the deregulations of a lot of the you know,
bump stocks and all these other things that has that
impact in your business.

Speaker 8 (35:54):
Well, to be honest with you, because there was so
much litigation, it was all kind of on whold, So
we were still kind of conducting business as normal. There
was a small moment where you know, we weren't able
to sell the braces on there for about three or
four months, and then that kind of went away. So
it's kind of back to normal. But you know, people

(36:15):
get scared when they hear about that stuff, so they
start selling off stuff. And my my caution everybody is,
you know, don't sell your stuff off right away if
you don't have to, just give it a minute because
a lot of times it straightens itself back out.

Speaker 6 (36:28):
The way I looked at that was they were trying
to make felons of all of us.

Speaker 8 (36:31):
That's exactly what they try to do.

Speaker 6 (36:33):
Because whatever you had and your gun safe, you know,
almost overnight we all became felons.

Speaker 7 (36:38):
Yeah, and that was that's terrible.

Speaker 8 (36:40):
Yeah, the government to do that, And I'll say this,
you know, there's I know I'm going to get some
flak back on this, but you know, the ATF does
what they're told from the top. So I've got you know,
good people in the ATF that I know that are
that are great guys. They're just doing what they have
to do. You know, same thing with police forces, police
departments or whatever. They do what they have to do.

(37:01):
They've got to survive. They've got to do what they
got to do. If you treat them good, they're going
to treat you good. You know, we don't have any
issues with ATF. We do what we're supposed to do,
keep our books in order, everything's done. You know, we
out call and ask questions when we have issues, and
you know, they help us out. So I'm just gonna
throw it out there. You know, ATF is not a
bad group, even though, yeah, maybe there's something to be

(37:23):
said for deregulating them a little bit, but I think
Trump's doing a great job on that.

Speaker 7 (37:27):
Well.

Speaker 6 (37:27):
The NTF is just real similar to the border patroller
exactly when I was down at the border of the
border and talking to the border patrol agents, they're they're
just trying to do their job, trying to keep their job, uh,
you know, and it's just like the military.

Speaker 7 (37:39):
You know, we may not agree, but we've got a
mission to do.

Speaker 1 (37:42):
So callers, our number is seven zero two two two
one seven two eighty three. So, Roger, what would be
a good weapon for a woman that doesn't like a glock?

Speaker 8 (37:55):
So Smith and Wesson just came out with these Bodyguard
two point zero. It's a little three eighty. The original
Bodyguard had six rounds. The Bodyguard two point zero actually
carries up to twelve rounds, so you get two magazines
with it, a ten round and twelve round twelve round
being just a little extended. They just just came out
with a Bodyguard two point zero ported, So that's going

(38:18):
to help with you know, the kick that you would
get from the firearm, although three ada doesn't really have
that much kick either way, but this really smooths it
out quite a bit. And I know this because we
tested both of them. You know, we tested the first
Bodyguard two point oher when it first came out, and
then we just did a video that should be coming
out pretty soon the next couple of weeks for the
Bodyguard Ported. It's a great weapon for a female. My

(38:39):
wife just got one for herself and I'm gonna be honest,
that's the one we tested on the channel.

Speaker 1 (38:44):
So you have a YouTube channel, so what type of
videos do you post on there?

Speaker 8 (38:50):
We try to do informative videos, you know, videos that
our customers might be interested in. Of course it's products
that we have in the store, so it's something that's
relatable to the customer or uh, you.

Speaker 7 (39:01):
Know, we try to do somewhat breakdowns.

Speaker 8 (39:04):
You know, YouTube's kind of picky on what they allow,
but we will try to do breakdowns on stuff so
people understand it. Uh you know, we we give information
where it's We did a four part series on the
gun Store Las Vegas, you know, because we're not we're
not the type of gun store it's like, oh this
is another gun store, you know, we don't want nothing
to do with them. And and a lot of gun
stores are like that unfortunately. But gun Store Las Vegas,

(39:26):
they're a great partner of ours. And so's some Summerline
Armory they're a great partner of ours as well.

Speaker 7 (39:33):
I'll be honest.

Speaker 8 (39:33):
Summer Lane Armory donate SAMO for our channel, you know,
so we don't have to pay for the Ammo. It's
ages Kinetic Sammo and on our Channel, and you know,
we're happy to have them as a partner.

Speaker 7 (39:43):
You know.

Speaker 8 (39:44):
So our our four part series at the Gun Store
was on machine guns, you know, historical machine guns. Well,
of course tom exactly. We had the Tommy Gun. We
had the H and k U m P five, and
we had the the grease gun, the M three Grease gun,
and then we also had the saw. You know, so
they were all historical weapons. And you know, they actually

(40:07):
restricted us on that. So if you need to see that,
you know, you have to look it up directly. They
won't they won't put it out there because of the algorithm.

Speaker 1 (40:14):
Or you can go to the mom Museum and see.

Speaker 8 (40:17):
You could you could, yeah, yeah, but if you want
to see how they operate, go to the Channel.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
So, so you're having a grand opening on August.

Speaker 8 (40:29):
August twenty third, Yeah, it's a Saturday, Saturday.

Speaker 1 (40:32):
And so is there anything that you want our listeners
to know about that opening?

Speaker 8 (40:39):
Uh, just come down, expect to have a good time.
We are going to give I'm thinking we're going to
do something along the lines of like an hourly giveaway.
It's going to be smaller stuff in the beginning and
leading up to the bigger stuff. Of course. Now what
I'm going to say is if you win something small
in the beginning, don't worry. We're going to put everybody's
name back in when it comes time for the suppressor,

(41:00):
so there will be of course, you have to purchase
something to get a coupon for those and to get
a raffle ticket for it.

Speaker 7 (41:06):
For the suppressors. Do you have to wait a year
for No?

Speaker 8 (41:09):
Actually, actually the wait time right now in our store
because we do everything electronically, we do your fingerprints, photo
and also file everything electronically. We've gotten them back in
as little as twenty four hours.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
Really in California was thirty day way period.

Speaker 8 (41:23):
Well, in California you don't get sppressers. Yeah, while to
get us it used to take up to a year
and a half. I think if you were lucky, you
got it back in nine months. But they've been slowly
working it down and I think it was averaging two
days for a while there, and now we seem to
be getting them back a little quicker. So they're on
it right now.

Speaker 7 (41:41):
Do I have time for another question?

Speaker 1 (41:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (41:43):
Sure.

Speaker 7 (41:43):
So I'm a small business owner myself. I have two
small businesses.

Speaker 6 (41:48):
Obviously, you're a small business owner, how do you think
the big beautiful bill is going to impact you?

Speaker 7 (41:53):
If you looked into it, and you.

Speaker 8 (41:57):
Know, honestly, I think that bill isn't going to really
affect us too much. They should have they should have
deregulated everything to do with the suppressors other than maybe
putt them on a forty four to seventy three. I
think that was the only hiccup in the in the
chain there. You know, right now they took away the
tax stamp, so as of January first, you won't have

(42:19):
to pay the two hundred dollars tax stamp. That's going
to create a different couple of problems. If you want,
I can talk about that real quick. But you know
you still have to file your Form four and you
know it takes a couple of days to get that back. Now,
what I'm talking about about the problems that are going
to arise is, yes, you're not going to pay the
two hundred dollars tax stamp, but are you going to
find a suppressor because everybody that was waiting for that

(42:41):
to drop off is now going to be.

Speaker 7 (42:42):
There's no shortage and maybe a price.

Speaker 8 (42:44):
Hike exactly So, and I have talked to a couple
of them manufacturers and they have stated that, you know,
there is potential to be up to a three hundred
dollars tax hike so or price hike. So basically I
tell people this, if you're looking for a suppressor, just
get it now. And you know, the theory behind it
all is if GA does what they're doing, then they're

(43:06):
gonna knock all that stuff off of the NFA anyways,
and that registry goes away. So even you know, I've
got quite a few items that are on NFA items,
so I'm just waiting for that to happen to.

Speaker 6 (43:17):
Yeah, and then we just have to wait for the
supply to catch up with the demand, right, So yes,
I mean the supply will get there.

Speaker 7 (43:22):
It will so it.

Speaker 8 (43:23):
Will take maybe maybe a year, maybe year and a half,
but yeah, it'll be like the AMMO during twenty twenty.

Speaker 7 (43:28):
Don't buy in the peak, right.

Speaker 2 (43:31):
So the call in numbers seven oh two two two
one seven two eight three you can still call. You
can email us at TWAC Radio Show at gmail dot com.
And if we don't have time to answered this week,
we'll answer next week.

Speaker 1 (43:47):

I didn't know until tonight that you actually voted for
me last time.

Speaker 7 (47:36):
That that was that was that was a pleasure to hear.

Speaker 6 (47:39):
Yeah, I appreciate that a problem And you left off

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
