Probably wondering how two artists from totally different corners of
the world get together. Few ways agencies that share common
clients is one record labels that have clients in common,
and then the good old social network. They run into
each other in different places, and we'll talk more about
it here. Now let's bring in doctor roy to the show.
(11:46):
Stop doctor Roy.
Speaker 22 (11:47):
Hey, guys, this is doctor Froywood. Today's word on the Avenue.
In film and TV news, global star Prianca Jobra Jonas
is continuing her international streak with the survival thriller Reset,
where she stars opposite Orlando Bloom. Following major projects alongside
Idris Elba and John Cena, the role further cements for
expanding presence in global cinema. Critics, however, have noticed that
(12:08):
she's been typecast as only in action star, so let's
wait to see what Reset does for Brianca Jobrahm. In
media news, Indian Coo Tour laborer follow Guiney Shane Peacock
has unveiled a new campaign starring rising international model Pomika Yadev,
highlighting India's growing influence in global luxury fashion. Fresh off
of her break through presence with Chanel, Mumika represents a
(12:31):
new generation of Indian talent, confidently stepping onto the world
stage and breaking traditional beauty norms. In event News, at
the Medgala, designer Mayor Kirodra spotlighted the endangered Bengali craft
of Shola art in a striking Kotur moment created with
artisans from Gulgata. The intricate designs, traditionally carved from the
(12:52):
pith of an aquatic plant, are innovatively recreated using recycled
rubber waste and layered over a gold and silver Ganjibur.
I'm sorry blending sustainability, heritage and high fashion. That's it
for today's word on the Avenue until next time.
Speaker 5 (13:06):
Thank you so much for that, doctor Roy.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (13:10):

Speaker 5 (19:32):
A lot of people had. I guess the phrase is
mixed feelings about this song and Jackson Wang is an
Ada rising artist. Delgito songs one of our finest here
in the South Asian space and the two of them
getting together on a song that Jackson Wang had prepared
for his album, and then the collaboration happened and a
(19:55):
very unique way for dil Git to really tap into
that Asian market. And if you remember, this was ahead
of right when Bill jeth Was was headed over into
that neck of the woods there with his Illuminati tour,
So the timing of this was very opportunistic. There great
collaboration and a great collab between eighty eight Rising and
the dil G team. This next song was one of
(20:17):
the most iconic when it comes to Indian and non
South Asian artists. It's Jay Sean and Lil Wayne.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
The song is called down maybe.

of the most successful songs, if not the most successful
song the Jay Shawn put out. For sure, this next
song We've got for you. The collaboration, indeed, it's amongst
some very interesting global artists. The foundation of this is
(24:08):
the great Arhimansur as he collaborates with my Sakara Shuba
and Brandon Diaz. The three of them do a wonderful
job on a song called Jamal.
Speaker 33 (24:33):
Yeah, you could be stronger, you could be you could
be the reason and life gets saved. Yeah, you could
be tough in or to break as soft as a
feather and hue in Spain. When you understand the faith,
don't fad. Life is a rebel. And on that game
when it's blacking boo and it's all the same, it's
a long way at the moment then.
Speaker 34 (24:54):
Hal fire away, half fire away. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm way.
Speaker 35 (25:12):
Them jummajama, when we gave it, beautiful them, jumma drama,
all of us up, beautiful, Let's get so good and
you say every single moment in flavor, So don't.
Speaker 36 (25:26):

Want pain when you understand with the fake don'fing like
fizz the rebeling on that game win, it's that game blue,
when it's all the sick.
Speaker 11 (26:26):
It's a long way, but the moment down.
Speaker 37 (26:31):
Away, my jading is so beautiful, jam all of us.

Ed Sheeran where he collaborates with all kinds of different
global artists and in a particular case like that one
called Symmetry, and the very first song that we played
earlier to start the show, actually the second one called Sapphire.
Those two collaborations with Ajit Singh and kat A Nogla,
(31:30):
two of the finest the South Asian music has to offer.
Ed Sheeran grabs them one and two songs right there
on the same EP. This is colplay with Justlyn Royle.
Speaker 6 (31:45):
And so.
Speaker 38 (32:00):
I'll give up, Pray that I'll do my best. Pray

Speaker 5 (34:50):
Yeah, this has to be one of the most genius
things that I've ever seen marketing a song. What they
did what Coldplay did was they used different artists around
the world as their feature artists for the song, and
in India they used Justlyine Royle. In different parts of
the world, they grabbed an artist from that specific area.
Just wonderful marketing. This one was a song that we
(35:12):
world premiered on this show. It's Stephan Dan.
Speaker 39 (35:17):

of the most fearless, and he's taken his sound design
into places that many just do not have the courage
to do. But he also has the chops for it,
as we say. And here he is on a song
with an artist named Stormsey and the song is called
(50:28):

Speaker 5 (57:32):
Got a nodler Preston Pablo. The song is called Admiring You,
So I'm not making memories. EP. Great collaboration right there,
and I hope you enjoyed all of these collabs that
we played. You know, I've been making music for thirty years.
I've been part of some of these collaborations. I've sat
in those rooms, and I'll tell you something most listeners
(57:54):
never got to hear what an East West collaboration actually costs.
It's not a remix, it's not a fusion track. It's
two artists from two industries that don't share a language,
that don't share a publishing system, that don't share a
fan base, that don't share a release calendar, don't usually
share a label deciding to trust each other anyway. That's
(58:15):
months of email chains, and that's lawyers on both sides
untangling royalty splits and across countries that don't even have
the same copyright frameworks. That's translators in the studio making
sure the lyrics still means what it meant in the
first language. That's a label exec on one side having
to convince a label exec on another side that the
(58:36):
song will move the needle for both of them. And
by the time the listener here is the finished record
on the radio, every one of those obstacles has been
quietly solved. The artists made a third thing, something neither
side could have built alone. One plus one equals three.
Speaker 17 (58:54):
Here.
Speaker 5 (58:54):
That's the math of collaboration when it actually works. And
every single song you heard on this show today is
that math lived out. Every record on this hour was
an exact act of trust. Tomorrow, on the show, we
count down the twenty songs the Diaspora is moving this week.
I want you to listen for which one of these
records started rooms like the ones that I just described,
(59:18):
because the ones that did are the future of this
music business. See you guys tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (59:23):
The data backet can happen laugh in the United States,
Brook of New York. Shit boy, you met me up too,
the data backet an get a con.
Speaker 5 (59:36):
