Speaker 1 (00:08):
Are you ready what my son? Oh yeah, Jeff deal good,
Queen of o'clock. I got one hundred and forty one
and two throws, Tess winning, but brought up.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
I am bad and ain't a lot bad? Why are
the many hours?

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Look there with a thought to sweep me stop? Welcome
to to the grill Out from the heart of Sillion,
West Virginia.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Here's your host, Hollywood, Chef Petty. Welcome back, ladies, gentlemen,
to the Grill Ounce, Episode ninety five. I'm your host,
Hollywood Jeff Petty, and I'm joined with my illustrious duo
of co host. First off, the reflection.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Of perfection sometimes the doctor Jason likens greatness himself. Ladies
and gentlemen, we are five episodes away from triple digits.
Do you get that? Jeff? Five episodes away from being me?
And that's great because when you're good, you're good. When
you're great, Josh, who are you? You're me? Yeah? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:16):
And that is also our reigning and defending grill At
Predictions Champion and undisputed.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
And where is the list?

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Okay, the list? We have one more week before I
release the list. The list of one hundred in my
opinion the one hundred greatest technical wrestlers of all time.
We're going to release the list, but I've had people messaging,
I've had people calling me. Jeff quit giving my phone

(01:45):
number out.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Well, you know, sometimes it's a little fun.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Mirred when I get a blocked call and I answer
it because I'm that guy, and well it comes up
like unknown, so an unknown call. Hey, So I answered
the unknown call and I'm like, Hi, how are you those?
Jason nearly release the list, and I'm like, I agree,

(02:11):
I agree, we should. I'm working on it. So that's
where we are. I keep getting told release the list.
We're going to We're gonna release it, and don't forget
huge announcement at episode one hundred. Yeah yeah, huge announcement, Huge, big,
big list announcement.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Josh Colebaby has joined me and Jason likekins. We also
have another guest in the studio. Well, she has a guest.
The other two are co hosts from Charleston, West Virginia.
She is a graduate of Winfield High School in West
Virginia State University, where she is a former conference champion
in softball. In the local wrestling scene, she has been
a mainstay for Appalachian Championship Wrestling. In fact, she won

(02:51):
acw's Newcomer of the Year in twenty twenty four, and
was recently featured on the national stage for All Elite Wrestling,
facing off against Meghan Baine, which has created all kinds
of buzz around her. Everyone joined me in welcoming Emily
Rose to the program. Emily, how are you doing today?

Speaker 4 (03:10):
I'm doing great. How are y'all?

Speaker 2 (03:13):
We're lovely to each other, as you can tell in
the first yeah, in the first ninety seconds of this program.
So one thing that we like to start off with
with all of our guests is we like to get
a barometer of where they not where their wrestling knowledge is,
but where the wrestling fandom is, because you got to
be a fan to kind of be a part of
this crazy world of it. I did find an article

(03:35):
online with Yahoo Sports that you did and with who
Yahoo's Sports. Yeah, who Yeah, Yahoo Yo, Yeah, I worked
on it. I worked on.

Speaker 5 (03:46):
That, Okay, And you're you have an interesting story when
it comes to professional wrestling. That is correct, I do
what is your earliest memory of professional wrestling? I'm just
got going throw that one out there right now.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
Well, my earliest memory is actually from like twenty eighteen.
So my dad, well, at the time, I was playing
ball at State and my dad texted me because he
grew up watching wrestling him my parents, and my uncle
actually watched WWE until like two thousand and three or

(04:19):
something like that. So AW was coming to Charleston for
the first time, first live wrestling show in like seventeen
years or something at that time, I think seven seventeen.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Yeah, something like that.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
Yeah, and he wanted to go, but my mom didn't
want to go, my uncle didn't want to go or something.
He couldn't find anybody to go with, so he asked me,
and I was like, sure, if I get out of
practice some time, I'll go. I've never actually watched anything
wrestling wise. I didn't know anything about it, but I
was like, i'll go. It gives me something to do.
So we went and we had okay seats, it was

(04:56):
they were all right, and we were there. I think
we I got there maybe twenty minutes or something before
it went live because they filmed Dark before, so I
missed a couple of Dark matches. But we got there
and it started and I started watching it, and I
was like Wow, this is it's actually fun to watch.
It's actually really cool. He described it as like, uh,

(05:20):
like a soap operaffer grown men. I was like, I'm
in I watched it.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
It really is, like I've told people, it's so My
girlfriend when we got together a couple of years ago,
she was like, not familiar with wrestling whatsoever. But when
I described him like, it's like it's like theater. That's
really what it is. And I've explained I like, the
ring is their stage. It's not like a typical stage
that you would have. I mean, you you know, it's

(05:47):
people are all around it. So once I've described that
to her, she's like, oh, so, then it's just started
clicking a little bit.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
And now she's like not into wrestling, but she's like
I understand it way more than I did before. And
also she saw my color action and everything and everything
I posted online.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
She's like, you do have.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
A slight obsession with it, and.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
I'm like, I'm sorry, I'm very sorry for that.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
I mean, at least your first interaction with your individual
was a lot nicer than mine. My wife saw all
of my wrestling stuff and she got really scared and
thought about leaving. So yeah, but do you remember any
of like the your favorite matches from that night at.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
Age of these it was the Halloween episode, Yes, that one.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
That one's a bit of a fever dream.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
That one was crazy. Yeah, I'm pretty sure. One thing
I really remember is Cody Rhods and Chris Jericho signed
like for the wrestle for the belt, and I right there,
I was like, I love Cody Roads.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
I was really disappointed in that though, because I was
there with my brother in law who had never watched
pro wrestling, and so as all this stuff's going on,
I'm you know, I'm seeing the wrestling tropes. I'm seeing
all this stuff happen. I'm like, listen, there's going to
be a fight. Someone's going to end up through that table.
He's like, really, it was like easy one going to happen.
Didn't happen, And he judged me the rest of the night.

(07:06):
He was like, I thought you knew about this stuff.
I was saying it always happens, but it did not
that it did not did not. The Jericho did have
on his pumpkin coat. See.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
I mean, like that whole episode is just a complete
fever dream. I've seen people online saying like, I barely
remember the Rick and Morty episode of aw Dynamite.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
I still I have a mask too.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Yeah, and that was a tag team title, yeah, first
champs yep.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
So so that right there was sort of the catalyst
of you wanting to be in professional wrestling. Correct, you
were trained by Shane Storm and Shane Douglas. How did
how did you end up with them and getting involved
with wrestling after that?

Speaker 4 (07:49):
So my last two years of college softball, Moose who
runs a CW, he was like, he said, why don't
you come down here and train after you're done and
see if you like it. At that time, the trainer
was Chris Cannon, So I started under Chris Cannon and
I went and trained for a couple months, and during

(08:11):
that time I actually had torn my labor in my shoulder.
So I got that fix, took like eight months off,
and then came back and then I really started working
with Chris Cannon again, and then Shane Storm came and
took over from then, and then Shane Douglass has been
in and out, but yeah, it was that's really how

(08:31):
I got in. Just asked me to come try out,
and then I never stopped going.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
So so what was the trial process?

Speaker 4 (08:37):
Like trial process just see if you could roll? Pretty much,
it was legit, just the first day of training type
stuff like bumping and rolling basically see if you can,
like not if you're tough enough, but like if you
can handle the bumps and the rolls and all that stuff.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Yeah. So I'm gonna use a word with you, and
I want you to give me your honest reaction.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
Okay, fake, it's not fake. It's I don't think it's fake.
You could say predetermined, scripted, scripted, but it's definitely not
fake because that's our bamb I took from Meghan Bain.
Was definitely not fair.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
I tried to explain to people. It's like it's you
have this tiniest little bit of padding on the ring
and then it's plywood, and then some.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
Some rings barely have even less than that padding.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
Fake is not fair.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
No, it's not fake.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
No, okay. So, and a lot of people think that
when you hit the ropes, like it's you're just bouncing
off of them trampoline. Yeah, so, like, what what was
that like the first time you start hitting the ropes
in the.

Speaker 4 (09:47):
Ring for the first like I would say, three weeks,
I had bruises on my back like you would hit
the because I hit the ropes pretty hard. I love
running ropes, so when I hit the ropes, I go
with a lot of force, and I literally had bruises
on my back like rope marks for a while. It's
until you get used to it, it doesn't feel great
at all.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
So how long did it take you to get used
to it? Because I've heard people talk like it's almost
like with the bumps and hitting the ropes and everything,
it's almost like.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Your body builds like a giant callous.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Yeah, like it's a giant callous at that point, like
you're just kind of used to it. So how long
did it take to get used to it?

Speaker 4 (10:23):
I think it took me a couple months, Like I
would say probably two months. It wasn't that long, but
it wasn't It definitely wasn't that short either, Like it
took me some time to really get used to bumping
and hitting the ropes, but it didn't take that long
at all.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
So was there any any kind of like misconceptions you had,
Like you saw it and you were like, Okay, that's
what I want to do, and then the first time
you stepped in the ring. You were like, Okay, that
is not what I thought it was going to feel.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
Like, well, you see all these people like jumping off
ropes and doing moon salts. I'm like, oh. And then
I went to training and they were like roll and
I getting off the ground and trying to do like
front bumps and like stuff like that. I realized I'm
not the not the one to get off the ground
very easy. So that took me a while to work on,

(11:13):
you know, just getting off the ground jumping. Because I
was softball. I was a pitcher and played for a
space so I didn't have to leave the ground. I didn't.
I never played anything except basketball growing up where you
had to jump, So getting off the ground was definitely
a misconception of how easy I thought it was going
to be. But I'm still struggling today.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
I mean, my uncle was a high school softball coach,
so I spent a lot of time around softball, and
I don't remember anyone ever having to do a moon salt,
no insult.

Speaker 4 (11:42):
I never had not.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
I'm not positive though.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
So was there anything with like your collegiate career with softball,
did anything help with that? With the transition over to wrestling.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
Lifting. Definitely, the lifting and the work ethic part of it.
We'd be up at like I think we had five
am workouts for five years when I played, and uh,
just lifting heavy things. So when I got to wrestling,
they were like, you have to lift, you have to
stay in shape, and I'm like, well, this already did
this for the last five years, So that was pretty easy.
That was an easy transition going from lifting and still

(12:14):
having to be in shape. Imagine cardios helping them, yes, definitely, definitely,
but really they just just about us staying in shape
and like lifting, and I'm like, I already do this.
So that was a really easy transition for me going
from college softball to wrestling.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
It's also really funny at times, like you if you
look back the late eighties and nineties and you see
people like Earthquake John Tinta, and you see just these
like really what looked like fat guys in wrestling balls
with legs, yes, but they're just running ropes and it
looks like they're not even winded it. I mean, people
who do it are athletes.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Like, there's no way I'm doing it.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
Absolutely No, that's not fair. That's not fair. I mean
I'm not disagreeing.

Speaker 4 (13:01):
With you, but if you trained, you can definitely if
you Yeah, he doesn't.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Love the work ethic.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
I'll be completely honest. The first time I'm in there,
I'm sucking wind. I already know that that's gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
First time you're in on the way down. Okay, it
would be the one they put on the golf court
to drive you down to the ring.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
I'm glad you think so highly of me.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
I didn't say it tip over.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
So, so you got back into wrestling in twenty nineteen.
Between then and now and you're a professional wrestler, what
are some type of what are inspirations from wrestling that
help you in the ring? Like form your character?

Speaker 4 (13:41):
See my character I'm so working on. I really like
Chris stat Lander how she's like big and tough, and honestly,
after watching Megan Bain for a little bit, I really
like her character just being big and strong, and I
think that's really what I want to go for.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Well, you got a very up close interaction.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
I did, very very.

Speaker 4 (14:01):
But yeah, my character is still something I'm working on.
But I want to go for like big and strong,
but like not like mean big and strong ish type
type deal.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
So, uh so you still want to do things fairly.

Speaker 4 (14:16):
Yes, exactly, you don't want to take.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
The low road correct, which at times could be the
fun road. That's my opinion. Do what you do to win,
but hey, it's not for everyone.

Speaker 4 (14:28):
I think I think eventually being a bad guy would
be really, really fun, but I don't right now. I
don't know if I have the the character or the
personality to like switch on and off.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
I'll tell you, for some people that comes super easy.
Some of us are just terrible, terrible people.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
I have an RVF, but I don't know if I could,
I could make it.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
No, I mean it, I've heard now, granted I'm a fan,
been on this side of it forever, and don't ever
plan on getting the ring. I've alway has heard that
being a heel, though, is a lot easier than being
a face. It's it's a lot easier to get people
to hate you than it is to get people to
like you. So but I do that in real life.

(15:13):
So so you you mentioned a w Chris stat Lander.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
Then fun fact, Josh, Yeah, I was going to try
to say stuff, kept going sorry, well we're good at this. Yeah,
uh so you mentioned Chris Statler. Fun fact, you are
a second person we've interviewed who've worked with a W,
because we actually interviewed Chris Statlander last year. Really yeah,
and uh, speaking of a W, walk us through the

(15:36):
contract of a W contacting you for that match on collision.

Speaker 4 (15:41):
So we there was a Jerry Lynn seminar I went
to and he works at AW. And after that, like
somebody asked the question like, how do you want like
be an extra or whatever enhancement talent, and he said,
send out emails. So so later that night I sent
out an email to AW and I sent one out

(16:04):
to WW and I heard back from both. But I
was at the beach. Actually it was like midnight and
I got the email about AW bean picked for the
Roanoke show. So I went in like not knowing what
I was doing, and they just said dress business casual
and show up and see what happened. So I went in,

(16:25):
got there that day and we got promo picks done.
Because if you're new it never worked for AW, you
have to get promo picks done. So I think there
was like three of us that hadn't worked there. So
we got our pick. Son went back changed into my
regular clothes and just hung out and then it was
like the show started at eight, and about like seven fifteen,

(16:48):
seven twenty, a guy came and got me and he said,
you have a match at eight o'clock pretty much against
Megan Bain. Go talk to her and figure it out.
So I had to change and get ready and then
go talk to her. But that whole process it was
just an email. Honestly, I went in not knowing what
I was doing. I thought I was just gonna be
like hanging out all day.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
But shot, I'm sorry. They come in, they tell you, hey,
get a match at eight o'clock with Meghan Bane. Yeah,
go talk to her. Figured what is your reaction? Like
Megan Bane?

Speaker 4 (17:18):
It was. It was crazy Like at first, I was
like adrenaline was like pumping. I was like, oh my gosh,
like live TV. But I like talked myself down. I
was like, well, you have to do this no matter what.
So you're either going to be nervous and mess up,
or you're gonna just suck it up and just act
like it's a regular show and not think about it.

(17:39):
It's on TV. So I went and found Megan. She
was actually in hair makeup, and we talked and she
was so nice. She was awesome to help me through
the whole thing.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
So it was really nice with Megan. Beforehand, I had.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
Seen a funny story. I was actually looking for like
gear inspiration, so I was looking at all like the
taller girls what they wore, and she was I looked
at her gear and I was like, this is so pretty.
I was like, but I don't know if I could
pull this off. So I actually was familiar with her
just by looking at her Instagram page and like her
gear and stuff. But I had seen her wrestle a

(18:12):
couple of times on AW but really I wasn't familiar
with her work. But she's great, great all around.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Did did you talk to any of the I'm trying
to more tenured individuals backstage who might have given you
any kind of advice or anything.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
Yes, the guy put together a match.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
It was.

Speaker 4 (18:37):
Angelico or I don't know how to pronounce his name, Helicu. Yes, yes, him.
I remember he was at the October show. He was
at the Rick and Morty show.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
He teamed with a Qt Marshall something like that, And
I was.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
Gonna say I think that was in the earlier portions
of the show, if memory serves me correct anyway, continue.

Speaker 4 (18:54):
But he came back and was like he put together
a match basically okay, And after I talked to him
and Megan, Penelope Ford was there too, obviously, she walked
out with Megan and we were all talking and I
got good feedback from them. But other than that, I
didn't really talk to anybody else about feedback from the match.
But everybody, pretty much everybody came up and shook our hands,

(19:18):
all the enhancement talent and like introduced themselves. Okay, so
they were all pretty nice.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
What's the biggest difference between like the local show behind
the scenes versus AW behind the scenes.

Speaker 4 (19:33):
A lot more people hang out and catering, okay, but
like talking about like behind the scenes, like before the
show started, Like at indie shows, they're all in the
ring like messing around, And it was the same exact
thing at AW. Before Ring of Honors started, there was
a bunch of guys in the ring just flipping and
trying new things. And I honestly, besides the catering, I

(19:54):
didn't see a real big difference, just a bunch of
guys trying things in the ring, trying it was pretty funny.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
So last question as we start to wrap this.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
Up, but I have so many moves.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
Well, do you want to ask another question? Jason? Oh,
you can, Okay, Okay, it'll be okay, buddy, Okay. What
is your ultimate goal with going into professional wrestling?

Speaker 1 (20:18):
I should have taken that last question.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
Terrible.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
No, I'm sorry, Jeff, go ahead, it's okay.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
I would love to work you know, obviously ww AW
and w A. I think that's the ultimate goal. I
would love to work in the company that first got
me started into wrestling.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
AW.

Speaker 4 (20:36):
I think that would be pretty cool. But I think
everybody's goal, well maybe not everybody would be WWE AWN
w A. I think that would be pretty cool. Just
to get paid to lift and wrestle all the time.
Sounds like a pretty good job to me.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
Can't beat that.

Speaker 1 (20:52):
So you have to do one match, and it's the
last match you can ever do? Oh God, who is it.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
Match? Does it have to be a women's No?

Speaker 1 (21:03):
No, it's your match. You can a dream match.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
Yeah, per se prematch. I love Cody Roads. I will
stand on that all day. I love Cody Roads.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
Is it the adrenaline in your soul?

Speaker 2 (21:13):
I think it is something somethings.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
Yes, I would pay Cody.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
Roads, okay all day?

Speaker 2 (21:20):
What do you think of startist?

Speaker 4 (21:22):
See that was before I started watching it, but I
have seen I have seen videos and it's definitely something.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
That the great thing is like he puts one hundred
into whatever. Oh, absolutely like I was a huge fan
of mustache Cody Roads. I really was like dashing Cody Roads.
It was a great time.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
It was. It was real quick. Last thing when it
comes to Cody Roads, and this is just funny to me.
Right before uh but right before everybody actually got here,
I got here to the station. First I found something
online and it was somebody with a bunch of Cody
Roads figures and in a cabinet and they were like
adrenaline in my soul. Nothing but Cody Rhoades in my

(22:02):
cabinet or something like this. So it was just it's
just hilarious to me.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
The way you told that was terrible.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
Oh, I know it was.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
It was horrible delivery, like the whatever the joke was,
you ruined it.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
I couldn't. It was just funny in mine.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
You should have kept it in there. I know, I
should have should have just stayed inside.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
Emily Rose. Ladies, gentlemen, you're gonna stay with us for
the rest of the show, all right.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
We're gonna go ahead and we'll get rid of Josh
and just.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
You talked to the higher ups about that. All right,
We're gonna shift gears to on this day in wrestling history.
August twenty fourth, nineteen ninety four, WCW presented Clash of

(22:51):
the Champions twenty eight at the Five Seasons Center in
Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The event was historic for a couple
of reasons. The card was headlined by the first ever
singles match between hul Cogan and Rick Flair. Flair won
the match by count out. Additionally, Ricky the Dragon Steamboat
defeated Steve Austin to win the WCW United States Championship. Steamboat, however,

(23:13):
suffered a back injury in this bout that forced him
into retirement, and this would be his last wrestling match
until his three match WWE Comeback.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
Funny Enough, I was there for that, We really.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
Know, okay Liar. August twenty fourth, nineteen ninety nine, WWF
taped the first ever episode of SmackDown in the Kemper
Arena in Kansas City. After the success of the pilot
episode four months earlier, the first weekly show began airing
on UPN later that week. The show was headlined by

(23:47):
TRIPLEH defeating The Rock after interference and from special referee
Shawn Michaels. You can probably look that up and prove it. Yeah,
it's on YouTube, Jason. Finally, August two thousand and three,
legendary British commentator Kent Walton, the voice of British wrestling
in its heyday, passed away from a stroke just days

(24:09):
after his eighty sixth birthday. We're going to take a
quick break and when we come back we have predictions
for WWEE Clash.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
Should and not have found something happy to end on?
What is wrong with do?

Speaker 2 (24:21):
I just heard it in there?

Speaker 1 (24:23):
We have a guest and you're like, hell happy happy,
sad news Okay.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Hold. On August twenty fourth, twenty fifteen, the Dudly Boys
returned to WWE, the most decorated tag team champions of
all time, make their first appearance on WWE programming in
almost exactly a decade. And we're going to take a
quick break and when we come back, we have WWE

(24:49):
Clash in Paris. Prediction Thank you stay tuned.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
It's time for more of the grill Out here. It's
Hollywood Jeff Paton.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
Welcome back to ladies and gentlemen, to the grill Out
of your host, Hollywood Jeff Putty allegedly. Allegedly that's Josh
Cole Beabe. We have doctor Jason likekns what you're the
reigning and defending Grill Out Predictions Champion. You're actually going
to be defending your title right here, right now.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
It's on the lawne as we're speaking. Because Forbidden Door.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Yeah. Yeah, because this because Forbidden Door is going on
right now as we speak. We're also joined by Emily Rose.
She's going to be joining us for predictions and yeah,
and also Jason Likens.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
I gave you two doctor Jason Likens, thank you real quick.

Speaker 2 (25:37):
He has a doctor and dragon in Ultimate dragon Ology.
Is is Emily Rose Ultimate Dragons. No, okay, all right,
fair enough, we cleared that up. This will be WWE's
very last main roster pl E to air on Peacock
here in the United States. As beginnings I'm getting to
money as beginning with Russell Palooza on September twenty the

(26:00):
main roster PLS will begin airing on ESPN's new streaming app.
This was supposed to begin with Wrestling of forty two
and April twenty twenty six, but by a technicality, WWE
had fulfilled their main roster pl obligations to Peacock and
were able to switch to ESPN sooner. Just a note,
Peacock will maintain nxtspls until at least March twenty twenty six.

(26:25):
Saturday Night's main event is now exclusive to Peacock for
the next few years, so it will no longer air
on NBC, and the WWE library currently on Peacock will
remain there for the next few years. There will also
be some new, unconfirmed content to be produced for the
main roster already canceled on Peacock. Looked listen, I'm just

(26:46):
going VPN Netflix, Okay.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
Well, I mean, you know, that's one way to do it.
I don't care what they change, but there's one thing
they cannot change about Saturday Night's main event.

Speaker 3 (26:57):
It's on Saturday Night.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
No, I don't even about that. They could have it
on Tuesday and still call it SATA. You can't get
rid of the body. Keep Jesse Ventura. I need something
in my.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
Life you need it.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
I don't have to worry about my wife hearing me
say that. She doesn't listen. It's okay.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
Seen the bad in a while.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Don't you try to bring him in here?

Speaker 1 (27:19):
He could?

Speaker 2 (27:20):
I know.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
Apparently if you say his name three times and have
a juice box, he appears.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
I've got a juice bottle.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
I mean that's close enough.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
Oh God, here we go.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
Yep, bag yep. Sohow I hear we're doing some predictions today.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
Yes, clash in Paris will be this Sunday.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
I lived in Parish for fifty two years.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
You were also in the Baja.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
I was. That's where I live now. Down in the
bah got a pack of wild dogs that all look
at me as their leader. It's about fifty two of them.
There used to be fifty three. He died bold age.
I'll get it together, I miss yous.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
Wwe clash in Paris this Sunday. I battled halk Hogan
in Paris August thirty first for the title, fighting for
my life over here one thirty pm Eastern time. We
got six matches right now. Two of them are not confirmed.
There are some rumors that they're going to have seven
matches on this card, but we don't know what the

(28:23):
seventh one is.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
Me how I'll be there? I can fly, not even
in a plane. I know the secrets. Learned it in
Area fifty one behind the Chuck e Cheese.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
Josh, Oh my gosh, I'm getting a little tired now.

Speaker 1 (28:43):
I can tell might go take me a nap nap. Go.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
You might want to go take you a nap nap
nap nap.

Speaker 3 (28:50):
Brandy cookies.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
There are no such things white cookies. Stop you seet, no, no, no, no, no,
this is important now. There are no such things as cookies, Josh.
What you have are tiny burnt cake. Cookies are not
a real thing, girl Scout cookies. Nope, not real. That's
just a conglomerate of the little cake. I call it

(29:13):
baby cake. First match, baby cake, baby cake, no cook.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
I gotta cut the batty off sometimes, Okay. Our first
match on our rundown, John Cena against Logan Paul Jason,
Who are you going with?

Speaker 1 (29:34):
I never go first.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
It's always you that I got you first on here.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
I see that, but I don't know why. Uh okay,
so I have said was that you God Jeff should
always go first. His name's on the show. So I
will never go and pick Logan Paul, so John Cena,
I will not do it.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
No matter what, you will never pick Logan.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
Could be Logan Paul versus Logan Paul. I'm picking Jesse
Ventura for a run in.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
Jesus. Okay, I'm gonna have to go Sena as well.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
Good.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
I could see him. No, you can't do one the
favor for Logan Paul. But I'm kind of like you.
I don't want to see it.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
Gosh, I could also see Paul winning it, but yeah,
it's got to be seen. He's got ten appearances left
after or nine after.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
This, and I think only three matches, am I correct?

Speaker 1 (30:31):
On?

Speaker 3 (30:31):
That looks creepy his last match, I guess Survivor Series
and then Saturday Night's May event.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
Oh yeah yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
So okay, no peer pressure. You can pick whoever you want.

Speaker 4 (30:45):
I think I'm gonna go Sena.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
That's a good pick. That's the best pick. You could
do any particular reason. No, Okay, sometimes no is the
best reason. That's okay.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
Seamous verse is rusev in a good old fashioned Donnie
Brooke match.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
Well don't we all know what that is?

Speaker 2 (31:06):
Yeah, Jason Street.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
It's going to be rusive because I believe it will
be a good day for Rusef Day.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
Every day is rucev Day. And also, I mean you
got a good point there because even though it's not
Seamus's hometown, no no, no, they're not even in never mind,
we're in Paris.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
I don't know what I was thinking.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
No, no, no, no, no, no, hold on, Josh, finish this thought out, Jeff.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
You have a college degree and I'm working on a master's.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
Yeah, so please finish that for all.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
State learning people. For some reason, I was thinking Donnie
Brook and I thought they're in Ireland.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
No they're not.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
We're talking clash in Paris. I had a brain fart,
Yes you did. I have the match is a shamous match. Yeah,
so I'm going shams.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
It's not a rusive match.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
Yeah, I'm going shame us the.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
Bulgarians not being like we're gonna have a Donnybrook match.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
All right, Josh, oh it's me, Okay, do it, get
it together, do it? Lady Roosve Russve Okay, okay, that's okay.

Speaker 1 (32:17):
Name Emily, who are you picking? I should say it's
the best way to go. You see, at least there
is a person on here who knows how to make
a good pick. Yeah, and it's not Jeff.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
This is why you lose.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
Yeah, it is. You know, you got a good point
is why you lose. You're terrible at this. So Emily here,
I'm just going to give you a little heads up.
If Jeff picks something and you're like, you know what,
he might be onto something, Jeff always loses. So yeah,
the one time.

Speaker 2 (32:53):
Now, now I have how many times I won the
title Josh five times? Five times, I've defended it successfully
once and he didn't even try, which was an annoying part.
That's the thing. When I'm trying, I don't get it,
But when I don't, it happens. Next match, Roman Rains
taken on Brons and Red Jason.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
I still don't like that. I'm going first, but let's
go with a Bronson reed because I wait, no, they're in.
It's going to be Roman. Sorry, sorry I didn't lock
it in. I'll allow it Roman. It's Roman.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
It's going because they're close to Rome. Jeff logic, you know,
with that Jeff logic, I'm going to go Roman.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
I should have went with Reid.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
Mm hmm. That's exactly Yeah, Josh, come on, Champ, Yeah,
any day.

Speaker 3 (33:52):
Could I could see Roman. But what if he decides
to put him over. He's been stealing shoes. He probably
doesn't have a lot of shoes left.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
Oh, he's got shoes left.

Speaker 3 (33:59):
He's got lots of soul. I think that's gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
Okay, maybe a DQ But so you're on go bronton reading? Okay,
am I trying to lose going Roman?

Speaker 4 (34:13):
Because he's Roman?

Speaker 1 (34:15):
You see that's my thought. Actually I thought he was.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
Fair. He is tech. Yeah he is Samoan Jason.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
No, he's not Samoan Jason. Oh, alright, move on, next match,
Jeff's confused.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
It doesn't take much Fatal four way for the World
Heavyweight Championship seth Rowins. We'll be defending his title against
c M Punk j Usso and l A.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
Knight. Yeah, Jason, So if jay Usso wins, I am
boycotting wrestling again. I will yeat all of my stuff.
I just don't like jay Uso. It's gonna be Seth Rowins.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
I was gonna say, why are you wanting to pick Jack?

Speaker 1 (35:06):
I'm saying if it's him, it's like wins r that
whole thing. No, it's not gonna be him.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
No, no, no.

Speaker 1 (35:16):
No, Samoe and Jason has a better chance.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
Plus also, like Rowlins, he just won the title. He did,
I don't see him immediately dropping the title.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
No, I think Jay will take the.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
Fall, which is why I'm going rawlins.

Speaker 1 (35:33):
Okay, Gosh, after terrible pick, I should have went with Jay.
It's gonna be Jay.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
You want to change your pick?

Speaker 1 (35:42):
No, No, I'm saying Josh should pick Jay.

Speaker 3 (35:45):
I mean, I could be the underdog here and pull
it out, but I don't think he will stay.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
Am I.

Speaker 4 (35:52):
As much as I would love it to be elle Knight,
it's not so I want to pick Seth.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
All right now?

Speaker 1 (35:58):
Should it be La? That's a different story. Yeah, I
think it should. Although I'm starting to think that maybe
they've kind of missed the boat a little bit with
elle Knight. I don't know if he's as over as
he was. That's true, but he should be. They gave
it to Jay because he said, yeat, elle Knight's ten
times better than Jay. No.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
No, we have two matches that are not confirmed as
of the time of this recording, but seem likely to happen.
Stephanie Vicker. If anything, we can do a bonus on
this one. Back at Evolution, Stephanie Vicker had won the
Evolution Battle Royal to earn a match for the Women's
World Championship at Clash in Paris, but reigning champion Naomi

(36:41):
had to vacate the title this past Monday on Raw
due to her pregnancy. We do not have any details
on who the to be determined opponent may be. So
do we want to do two picks on this one?
Pick who she's going to face and who's going to
win the match?

Speaker 1 (36:56):
Sure we can? Okay, really quick doing let me ask
do you think people need to you know, work through
issues like work through being hurt? Like should Naomi be
in there working pregnant?

Speaker 3 (37:07):
Absolutely not technically did like the past two events.

Speaker 1 (37:12):
Yeah, there was two spots in a match where I
was like, oh that like hindsight like that's not good. Yeah,
that's that's not good.

Speaker 4 (37:20):
I get I would say negative on that.

Speaker 1 (37:21):
Okay. I just wanted to make sure.

Speaker 4 (37:23):
Yeah, I'm all about pushing through injuries, but I don't
know about this one.

Speaker 1 (37:27):
It's not really an injury, is it.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
And that's there's certain injuries you probably shouldn't work through.

Speaker 4 (37:34):
But like a torn labram in softball, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (37:38):
Yeah, possibly maybe a broken neck. I don't know as
kart angle that one. Yeah, all right, that's who am I?
Uh what do you think she's going to face?

Speaker 2 (37:48):
And who do you think it's going to win a match?

Speaker 1 (37:54):
Uh? Let's go with because they are in Paris and
I don't see her anywhere on this card. I just
had every name fall out of my head. Uh, it's okay. Uh.
I always pick her for everything to day, dude, you

(38:17):
know no legit, like every every name has fallen out
of my head.

Speaker 2 (38:24):
Do you want me to just go first and then
I'll throw it to you?

Speaker 1 (38:27):
Okay, because I know who I want to pick. I
know who it is.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
I feel like after I say her name, Josh may
correct me on something. Is he s guy? She holding
the title right now? Okay, I'm gonna go Scot.

Speaker 3 (38:40):
I will say she might be the attack team thing
with Rhea, but I don't know.

Speaker 1 (38:44):
That's THREEA Ripley. That's the name I was thinking of
Jesus Christ, I.

Speaker 2 (38:49):
Said, and he wants to say stuff to me.

Speaker 1 (38:51):
I'd pick her for everything. I think I had a
stroke just now, are you.

Speaker 2 (38:55):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
No, I couldn't remember my mom's name and it's mom.

Speaker 2 (39:02):
So you're going to go.

Speaker 1 (39:03):
Rare Ripley of course I am, yes, okay.

Speaker 2 (39:06):
And who is winning the match?

Speaker 1 (39:08):
It's none of your business, Jason. No, I'm not even
in the match.

Speaker 2 (39:16):
It's episode ninety five.

Speaker 1 (39:18):
Oh yeah, uh, well, you know, since I have to
do it, Uh do it, lady, Let's go Vacker. Okay, Yeah,
I'm sorry, Ria, I never go against you.

Speaker 2 (39:33):
It's okay, I've already thank you.

Speaker 1 (39:36):
Apparently you're Ria answering for me.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
Yeah, I've already kind of said who I think will
be the tow B determined opponent EO Sky, I'm going
to Vacer as well. Okay, you're going to Vacker. I'm
going with Vacker. Yes, sounds like some.

Speaker 1 (39:52):
Where what you're said. You're going with Vacker?

Speaker 2 (39:57):
Where on the pick?

Speaker 1 (40:00):
Where's that?

Speaker 2 (40:01):
Oh, Jesus, Jason, Jesus Christ Jesus Jason, Josh, get me
out of.

Speaker 1 (40:09):
That's right now.

Speaker 3 (40:09):
I'm going to go Hill Rodriguez.

Speaker 2 (40:11):
Oh yeah, yeah, why I feel like she's next?

Speaker 1 (40:17):
Okay, I mean it wasn't it.

Speaker 3 (40:20):
Your Rip and Sky have been in the picture a
little bit too much. Recently.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
Yeah, and there's a reason for that.

Speaker 2 (40:26):
Yeah, locker, Okay, recur, I'm not very good when it
comes to reading Spanish reading as well. Emily there, I'm.

Speaker 4 (40:38):
Going to go Sky as well, and I think she's winning.

Speaker 1 (40:41):
Oh so Sky all the way?

Speaker 4 (40:43):
I think?

Speaker 1 (40:43):
So why limit? God? I hate you.

Speaker 2 (40:47):
I hate you so much. I hate how much I'd
liked that. Sky is the limit?

Speaker 4 (40:55):
Sure, yeah, Sky's the limit.

Speaker 2 (40:56):
You can go with that. Okay, Okay, all right. Final
match for the Undisputed day.

Speaker 1 (41:04):
It's not fair. We know who Emily's picking on this one.

Speaker 2 (41:07):
Yeah, we'll get there, but we already know who probably
gonna be all of us picking them. Undisputed WWE Championship match.
Cody Words will be defending his title against one Drew McIntyre. Jason,
do you got Yeah.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
There's only going to be one Drew McIntyre. Yes, there's
not two of them.

Speaker 2 (41:24):
Oh my gosh, it was.

Speaker 1 (41:25):
It's not a video game. Although just think if it
was like five Drew mcintires versus one Cody Rhodes.

Speaker 2 (41:33):
We might get there. With the Grande Americana, we might.
I mean, that's very true.

Speaker 1 (41:37):
They did do it back in the nineties with Doink,
and in the two thousands with Doink, and in the
twenty tens with Doink. There's been a lot of Doink.

Speaker 3 (41:47):
He was in the COVID Monning Bank Ladder match briefly
Donk the clown was Yeah, he just kind of appeared.

Speaker 2 (41:54):
Oh he did. He did kind of forgot about that. Okay,
that was a fever dream. That whole era is a
fever dream. Let's go Cody Rhods something something, Cody Roads.
I missing Bobby Rude, Yeah, he might be producing.

Speaker 1 (42:13):
It was just a great song though, Oh my god,
it was.

Speaker 2 (42:16):
Bobby Rude is great in the ring. I'm going to,
of course go Cuddy Roads.

Speaker 1 (42:21):
Yeah, I'm sorry, could you say that into the microphone?

Speaker 2 (42:26):
It would be Cody.

Speaker 1 (42:26):
Oh, thank you, episys. Why are you picking Drew McIntyre.

Speaker 4 (42:31):
Oh I do like Drew McIntire, don't get me wrong,
but I I've talked about Cody Roads like five times
so far today, So I think I have to go
with Cody. Okay, well, because he's Cody Roads.

Speaker 1 (42:44):
It's kind of shocking.

Speaker 4 (42:45):
I love Roads.

Speaker 1 (42:46):
I thought you were going Drew, but no Cody.

Speaker 2 (42:49):
Okay, that's okay, all right, quick recap on all of this,
John Cena versus Logan Paul. All four of us are
going John Cena on that match. Shame has taken on
russav in a good old fashioned Donnie Brook match. I
went with Seamus. Everybody went Bruce v because we know
how to pick. Then we get to this next one,
romend Rains taking on Bronson and Reid.

Speaker 1 (43:11):
All of us went Roman except for Josh. He chose
Bronson Reid. That's what no one likes him.

Speaker 2 (43:17):
World Heavyweight Championship match fatal four way seth Rawlins will
be defending his title against c M Punk j Usso
in La Knights. All four of us went seth Rawlins.
And then the two unconfirmed matches, but they're kind of confirmed.
Stephanie Vacker versus a two be determined opponent for the
vacant Women's World Championship. Jason says it will be Rhea

(43:38):
Ripley and Vacker will win. I'm saying EO Sky and
Vacker will win. Josh is saying Raquel Rodriguez and Vacker
will win. And Emily is reaching for the sky Sky
across the board. And then what we believe is going
to be the main event of the evening, Cuddy Roads
will be defending his title against Drew McIntyre, the undisputed

(43:59):
WW Championship match. All four of us are going Cody Roads.

Speaker 3 (44:04):
So if Emily wins, what's gonna happen here?

Speaker 1 (44:08):
Well, the title's gone, and then we expect to see
Emily Rose with the ten ounces of plastics at shows.

Speaker 4 (44:18):
I will carry it proudly.

Speaker 1 (44:20):
You shouldn't, but okay.

Speaker 2 (44:23):
We don't even carry for us.

Speaker 1 (44:25):
It would.

Speaker 2 (44:26):
We don't even have our logo on it.

Speaker 1 (44:28):
We have stickers on it.

Speaker 3 (44:29):
It's toy plastic, big gold belt with stickers on it.

Speaker 2 (44:32):
We just have it. Looks terrible, that's the point. That's
the whole point.

Speaker 1 (44:37):
It's almost, I would say, uh, embarrassing a little bit.

Speaker 2 (44:41):
We're gonna shift gears to the main event.

Speaker 1 (44:42):
Now it looks like all the top has been done.
It's time for the main event.

Speaker 2 (44:49):
Welcome to the main event, where we go ahead and
let you know what your upcoming week of professional wrestling
is going to look like internationally, nationally, And.

Speaker 1 (44:56):
Of course Josh is Jeff going to say it correctly
this time?

Speaker 3 (45:01):
Nope?

Speaker 1 (45:01):
Okay, go for it.

Speaker 2 (45:03):
Neither of them? What oh no, let's see Okay, I know,
I know what you're saying. Friday, August twenty ninth, CMLL
will have Grand Prix International International. Sure, International, that's what
it is. Yeah, wow, he's the host. I am.

Speaker 1 (45:23):
I am.

Speaker 2 (45:24):
Also on Friday, Ring of Honor will have Death Before Dishonor.
Saturday and Sunday, August thirtieth and thirty first, DDT Pro
Wrestling will hold the two night event Wrestle Peter Pan
and then Sunday August going to Wrestle Peter Pan. No,
that's the name of the show, Peter Pan.

Speaker 3 (45:40):
But he will be there.

Speaker 1 (45:41):
Yeah. No. Do you have to clap your hands if
you believe?

Speaker 2 (45:47):
We don't do that too much. Joe Hendry might appear. Also,
we talked about this a little bit. Sunday, August thirty

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
