Speaker 1 (00:16):
Hey, it's Brian Freed, your inventor coach. Today we're talking
about one of the most critical moments in your inventor journey, manufacturing.
This is where your idea becomes a real product and
where too many inventors lose money or momentum. I'm going
to show you how to manufacture smart and avoid the
mistakes that burn so many first timers. Let's jump in.

(00:38):
Once you've got a good working prototype and proof there's demand.
Manufacturing is your next big step. And here's the truth.
It's not just about making your product. It's about protecting
your time, money, and sanity. First, get clear, lock in
your final design, know your materials, and be ready to
explain your product's function in simple terms. Manufacturers can't deliver

(01:01):
what you can't describe. Clarity saves you from costly miscommunication,
that's for sure. Next, decide where to build. Domestic manufacturing
might cost a bit more, but it gives you easier
communication and the ability to visit local factories in person.
It's also great if you're producing smaller quantities or want

(01:22):
more control during your early production runs. So let's talk
about overseas. Overseas factories can offer lower pricing and flexibility
with minimum order quantities, but they come with extra logistics
things like shipping, customs, taxes, duties. Neither option is automatically better.
It really depends on your goals, budget, and timeline. And

(01:46):
here's my golden rule, inspect what you expect. Samples are
your safety net. Always start small, check quantity, quality, fix
issues before you go big, and whatever you do, you
get everything in writing price, including packaging, assembly costs, timelines,

(02:06):
quality standards, payment terms, all of it. A clear agreement
keeps you protected if things go sideways. Here's my pro tip.
Manufacturing isn't a transaction, it's building a relationship. The inventors
who succeed are the ones who build trust and stay patient.
That's how you turn a good product into a great

(02:27):
business and then building your brand. Looking for expert help

Kingdom of Fraud

Kingdom of Fraud

It’s the unlikeliest of criminal partnerships: a devout polygamist from an insular Utah sect joining forces with a shadowy Armenian tycoon from LA. The result - a billion dollar fraud conspiracy. In Kingdom of Fraud, investigative reporter Michele McPhee traces the origins of the extraordinary alliance between Jacob Kingston and Levon Termendzhyan. Together, the two men trigger the largest tax investigation in American history and weave around themselves a web of dirty cops, influential political relationships and transnational money laundering. All this is set against the backdrop of Jacob Kingston’s clan – The Order. A powerful and secretive polygamist organization in Salt Lake City. To whom Jacob is desperate to prove his worth.
