در همین حال، واشینگتن‌پست در گزارشی تازه از شنود مکالمات مقام‌های ارشد جمهوری اسلامی توسط آمریکا خبر داده؛ مکالماتی که نشان می‌دهند خود مقامات، میزان خسارات وارده به تاسیسات هسته‌ای را کمتر از حد انتظار ارزیابی کرده‌اند. این گزارش بار دیگر وجود حفره‌ای جدی و مداوم در ساختار اطلاعاتی جمهوری اسلامی را پررنگ کرده است.
