Speaker 1 (00:03):
Shout out to the apartment complex about a I don't
know a quarter mile up the road here on the
left hand side. Good job on watering your lawn. So
glad you have your sprinklers on.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
No, they have sprinklers on.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Their automatic sprinkler system. You would figure if you're a
business that has automatic sprinklers, you shut them down for.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
The past three weeks.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Yeah, your lawn really needs to dry out.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
You don't need your sprinkler system on. I know that
thing's got a switch. I know it's an automatic timer,
but I know it's got an on off switch.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
Right.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Set that thing to sleep for now. You haven't needed it.
I don't know why it's on. Yep, I made you
say six water rescue so long.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
They had one this morning at West Broad near Washington
Boulevard downtown, and then they had five vehicles stuck in
high water around Jackson Pike and Dire Road. Okay, so
they've had to call Cruis in to rescue people. It's
a situation out there. This morning.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
I'll tell you what, This morning was the most standing
water I've driven through on my way to work. There
were so many like like lots of splashes, and I'm
sure there are other roads like this, but obviously Roberts
Road is on my travels and Roberts Road, especially the
left hand lane because it's two lanes in each direction.

(01:27):
Roberts Road is built and away where the right hand
side of the left hand lane, okay, just inside the
white line. Yeah, they've got that that crease where all
the water it's like one thin line of water. So
it's like, if you're driving where you should be driving,

(01:49):
you're basically hydroplaning the entire You have to drive almost
on the yellow line. Otherwise you're right in that water
line and you're.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Just that's so unche I felt it probably twice on
my way here this morning. Is when you know your
tires are not in contact with the roads, right, it's
just that really awful feeling of like sort of floating.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Yes, so thankfully it looks like the rain is going
to finish up this morning and sun later. But still,
I mean, it's just it's it's just wet, and then
by the time it gets to eighty the water's going
to start to evaporate. It's going to get hume it
outside and yeah, and then more of a straight shours
tomorrow rolling into the weekend. I thought it was supposed

(02:31):
to be sunny tomorrow, straight hours. Just it's a part
of the cloudy chances, straight shours.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
So welcome to your Thursday. How are you, Kelly?

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Great? I was a harrowing drive into work this morning,
harrowing flash, flood warning, flood warning, et cetera, and so forth,
So it is no joke out there. I passed a
car on six seventy westbound before you hit downtown. It
was obliterated, and I know I came. I know it

(03:03):
happened hours before because there's only one officer in the area.
But you think, how did somebody survive this? I don't
know if they did, obliterated. And then another gigantic accident
where there were probably eleven police cars there on two seventy.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Yeah, leave yourself extra time, take it slower than normal.
I'm sure we've already got issues. We'll get a full
lift for traffic here in just a moment. They got
you on a Thursday.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
I'm good man. I lost some weight yesterday.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Good Yeah. How much how.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
Much does two thousand dollars away.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Lunches?

Speaker 4 (03:36):
Yeah yeah, yeah yeah, breaks tires, battery and an oil change.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Yeah, that'll do.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
I said that to Goose before we went on calling.
He goes, yeah, like.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
That's just yeah, you're getting a set of tires, you're
dropping a grand no matter what I mean right off
the bat, easy.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
Yeah, but it's just like ough.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
God, yeah, it takes a lot of money to exists.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Man inane, get a horse and buggy wheels are much
cheaper on a buggy.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
It might do better in this water. God your one
hydro plan.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Yeah, that's true, that is true.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
But other than that, all good.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Good. We've got a lot doing a lot to talk about,
including your Sunday tickets for Louder than Life that we'll
get to. We're gonna talk gen X concerts. I thought
I was doing good. It took me to our tech
bless you, thank you. We have to visit FML, of course.
And I want to know if you could go fund
me one thing, what would it be, because there's a

(04:32):
man in North Carolina who has go funded me something.
I'm kind of shocked he put it out there, but
he's raising money. So we'll talk about that. Right now,
Let's go with Blitz Morning Trivia.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
Thick all right, twenty five bucks up for grabs to
the first person to text in to correct answer. A
new FX TV series called Legends will reunite the cast
from what TV Show?

Speaker 1 (04:53):
This sounds weird, but watch it.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
I know I will watch it just because I love
the TV show. So tell us what the TV show is?
First one to text it in. At eight you'll get
the gift card.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Let's get that answer for Blitz Morning Trivia Thick.

Speaker 5 (05:07):
All right, the question was a new FX TV series
called Legends will reunite the cast from what TV Show?

Speaker 4 (05:18):
And I'm like, aren't they all dead? I mean pretty
much everybody's dead.

Speaker 5 (05:23):
And then so I start reading and they're they're all
They're all going to be included.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Tig Happy and who's the uh Scottish guy? And Chips Chips.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Yeah, those are the basically the three that are left.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
But it says charliehonem Ron Pearlman, Katie Segal, Tommy Flanagan.
But what it is is the series will follow the cast.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
As they it's it's it's not like a documentary, but
they're gonna follow the cast.

Speaker 5 (05:51):
Is they reunited a fan convention over a decade after
the show ends, when a real world threat takes place.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
That's the So basically it's meta. It's it's the characters
within the characters.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
I love this idea. Really, it's a really good idea.
That's a way to get your great, top tier cast
back together.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
The only thing that could be cheesy is if they're
solving some huge like twenty four esque, you know, you
have to come together and save the world type thing.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
Stuart fails to save the world.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Yeah, that would be a little weird.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
I don't know, it's a real world threat takes place.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
I feel it. I'm sorry, No, I was just gonna say,
I feel like they're not gonna do it unless it's
a great script.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
I would. I would think because I think Vince Gilligan
the writers involved a little bit.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
Charlie developed the show.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Yeah, yeah, it's gonna I think it's gonna be Diehard esque.
There's gonna be like some sort of like, uh, terrorist
situation at the comic con.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Yeah, okay, I think it's a fun idea.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
Yeah, I'm gonna check it out for sure.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
Definitely.

Speaker 5 (06:56):
Rebecca Hobson from Grove Fort first one to text in
the correct answer scores twenty five bucks, water beds and stuff.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Congratulations, So we know that meta is being sued by
twenty nine states for one point four trillion dollars, which
is basically the value of Meta. And they're saying that
Facebook and Instagram are operated and are hazardous to children's health.
There's a big argument about, you know, are they addicting

(07:22):
younger minds to scrolling? And so that's what the massive
lawsuit is all about. Now they're learning a little bit
more about what is in the lawsuit and kind of
what these twenty nine states are fighting for. So here
are some of the things that might change. Let's say
that Meta loses this lawsuit, or at least they're ordered

(07:43):
to make changes to keep going as a business. These
are some of the things that might change. Death of
the infinite scroll and AutoPlay. These features are intended to
take you down rabbit holes and maximize screen times. You know,
if you put your mouse over a re the reel
will start to play, or even if you're on your
phone right it'll automatically start to play. And once it

(08:07):
starts to play, within one or two seconds, you might oh,
what's this and then you start watching more and more reels,
so that might go away. The AutoPlay feature, A big
one is the end of the like button, because one
of the big arguments is teens and younger people are
addicted to the like count How many likes did I get?

(08:29):
How many likes did I get? They continually go back
to see did I get more likes? Did I get
more likes?

Speaker 2 (08:34):
I also like the end of the like button because
your algorithm is so fine tuned your likes that it
just keeps you on your phone. So no like button,
no algorithm issues.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
So they want to end the validation metrics, which are
the like button. Now, going back to what you said, Kelly,
the next thing on the list is no more algorithmic manipulation.
Just because you look at something means it's going to
bring up more of that stuff, or if you watch
a video, it's gonna start showing you more of those

(09:09):
Because back in the day when this all started and
through the first many many many years before they learned
about algorithms and could you know, manipulate all that stuff,
it was just chronological scrolling.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
Right last time.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
You saw a post, if you reset, it would just
it would just upload the most recent posts and that
was it. But now it's all about what you look at,
and they're going to show you more of that well.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
And I've noticed too that it was very tied to
my likes. If I liked a video, then I would
get more of the same. Now it is tied to
how long I watch a certain video. For Yeah, so
if it's a minute long video and I'm watching the
whole thing, even if I don't like it, I still
get more of the same, yes, or from the same creator.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
So they are looking to kind of ditch the algorithm
all together. I'm all for it, and it's just going
to be straight chronological order. When you log in, who's
ever post hosted.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
Recently is going to be what you see and that's it.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Also, they're looking to curb frequent notifications. They're going to
cut down on excessive push notifications that are designed to
get you to go back to social media and look
at what someone posted, because now you can sign up
for all these notifications. I want to know when this happens.
I want to know this happens because it brings you
back and back and back. So looking at to you know,
kind of squash the notification. And then finally the death

(10:28):
to Finsta. And I don't even know what finsta is.
It's like basically a burner. It's like a separate account
you can have and almost no adults know about.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
Finsta.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Yeah, Finsta. It's all for kids who want to post
things that they don't want their parents seeing.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Yes, so they're looking to either get rid of Finsta
or at least push for much stricter parental verification and
limit multiple account creation so you can't have your main
account and then create this secret Finsta account.

Speaker 4 (10:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
I love all this. I'm admittedly addicted to TikTok social
media watching videos. I this would help me greatly because
sometimes you do need an outside source to help you
curb your behavior because it's very difficult to do it
on your own. Honestly, that's what an addiction is.

Speaker 6 (11:17):
Absolutely, it's tough.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
So I'm all for it. I hope all that happens.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
I never wanted to kind of admit it, but I
know because if we're on the couch watching a movie.
Let's say we pull up batesbo Max or it happened
yesterday and watching a movie because we don't pay for
the non ad social media or streaming services, so every
twenty minutes or so, gonna get one hundred and twenty
seconds of ads that ad starts, I pick up my phone,

(11:44):
what happened on Facebook? What happened on TikTok? And then
once the movie starts, put the phone back down. So
totally get it. Told you about my boys. My boys
can't leave their computer and walk to the pantry to
get a snack without coming down the stairs with their
phone in their hand. Yes, and that's the way we go.
So will this go into effect? How long before it does?
I don't know, but that's what they're fighting for. And

(12:05):
those are the changes we may see.

Speaker 7 (12:08):
Not so breaking news. The news already broke. We're trying
to put it back together.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
You know, there's sometimes if you're thinking of committing a
crime that if you just spend two minutes trying to
put together your plan, you could see the holes in
it and you could see how you might get caught,
because that's probably the most important thing if you're planning
a crime.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
What could go wrong? How am I going to get caught?

Speaker 1 (12:35):
And when it comes to certain things and stealing certain things,
you know, you have to know that it's going to
be easy to track. Like this forty five year old
woman from Iowa named Jill Brown. She has just been
arrested for stealing Minards rebates. Basically, what she would do
is she would either a steal people's outgoing mail that

(12:59):
they were mailing it to Minards for their rebate gift
cards and then mail them in herself so she would
get the rebate gift card, or she would steal the
gift cards as they were arriving to people's addresses. And
she did so because while she was the male woman,

(13:20):
Oh my gosh, so.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
She just looked through for minards.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Yes, she worked for USPS Wow, delivering mail. And when
she would see these outgoing Minards envelopes from people's houses,
knowing they were Minards rebates, she would take them and
mail them in herself. Or she was delivering mail and
she would see that an envelope was showing up from Minards.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
You know, you can give the envelope a little little card.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
You could feel if there's a card in there, you know,
when some sort of gift card or debit card is
being mailed. And so sure enough she would just take
the mail home. They figured out that Jill cashed in.
She had done this for over two years, but after
so many complaints from people in a certain area Minard's

(14:04):
got so many phone calls from a particular area of
Iowa that they're like, wait a man, et, we're not
losing all these rebates in one area. Like if you're
getting sporadic calls from around the country, Okay, some gift
card got lost in Columbus, some gift card got lost
in Dubuke, some gift card got lost in Miami. Okay, fine,

(14:27):
but they're all coming from this particular area. So they
reached out and started doing a little investigation. Sure enough,
they found out that, yeah, Jill was stealing these cards.
She would steal the receipts that customers were mailing to Minards,
or again she would steal the cards themselves. She was
charged with fourth degree theft. It's unclear if she did

(14:48):
these shenanigans at other places as well, but Minards happened
to be her favorite story. I guess she admitted too.
So that's why she was stealing them the gift cards.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
Wow, that's the short game.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
Yeah, that's why gonna get you very far.

Speaker 4 (15:01):
Say the total she ended up getting, did not know?

Speaker 3 (15:04):
Yeah, how much did she end up with?

Speaker 2 (15:05):
It's so funny that's minards.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Read it.

Speaker 4 (15:09):
Yeah, they got that program, because you.

Speaker 7 (15:11):
Know what is it?

Speaker 2 (15:12):
You're getting a gift card from them that you can
spend at at minards.

Speaker 5 (15:15):
Yeah, yeah, you get It's like, what is it like
eleven percent of every purchase or something like.

Speaker 3 (15:19):
Oh, I have no idea, I can't remember.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
I don't know if it's on particular products, I don't
know if it's on everyday purchase.

Speaker 4 (15:24):
Everything. Everything in the story gets this, whatever this reaping is.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
Hey, you know what save big money at minards, Kelly.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
I've been trying for forty five seconds to get that
joke out, and both of you wouldn't shut the f off,
so like you jump in and steal my coat.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Oh my apologies.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
I wanted to say, well, you know you can save
big money minards, but no Chatterbox one and Chatterbox two
over here.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
I won again.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Story number two takes us over to Scotland. Apparently there's
an area called Castle Crawford Woods that sits upon a
hillside in the Bigger Area and for around two hundred
years perched on top of twos Gill Hill off of
M seventy four. There you would get welcomed to Scotland

(16:24):
for two centuries. Coming to Scotland you would get welcomed
by Penis woods, also known as the Giant Trenus. The
Giant Trenus was a two hundred foot long, well tiny forest. Basically,

(16:44):
it was an area of trees that were shaped in
a very straight, long line which curved up the hill
and then at the top of this very long line
of trees was a group of trees that was very
very circular. So basically you had a long shaft and

(17:05):
a big tip and.

Speaker 4 (17:07):
It had a natural curve.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
Yes, you had a natural curve. Penis woods is what
they called it. Well, unfortunately, Penis woods is suffering way
too much blowing and so now they have to and
have started to tear down Penis woods. Unfortunately, these particular

(17:29):
trees have started to rot and die, they have lived
their cycle and so now due to high winds, they
are seeing a lot of these trees blowing over. They
have caused mass blowage if you will, and they're just
just not safe anymore.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
So they begin to circumcise Penis Woods. They are just.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
Taking it down little by little and unfortunately you will
not be able to see the Giant Trenus anymore. If
you're going to visit Scotland. Some people are very sad
about this because again for two hundred years you've been
able to see this. But after following assessment and public consultation,
the Scottish Forestry has approved cutting down penis woods. So sad?

Speaker 2 (18:19):
Did you get out all your jokes there?

Speaker 1 (18:22):
You got one please?

Speaker 2 (18:24):
I've just never heard the term mass blowage before.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
I really enjoyed that you haven't been to my house
for a weekend, that you're not so Breaking News ninety
ninety seven of the Blitz. Well, I shared with you
yesterday that my boys had their first day of school.
I thought it was going to be a big, huge day.
I mean, one boy is entering senior year. Who doesn't

(18:49):
want to enter senior year?

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Yeah, like, come on, latest greatest.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
The other one was entering ninth grade. He's going to
high school for the first time. Huge deal. So I
get home yesterday, go out to their bedrooms expecting like mcgonne,
I'm in high school.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
Oh my god, it's my senior year. We're gonna run
the school. It's gonna be so cool. Oh my god,
I can't believe I'm finally here.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
It's high school.

Speaker 3 (19:17):
I'm a big boy now. I don't know what I
was expecting boys. How is school.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
All right? Kind of boring?

Speaker 3 (19:27):
That was the whole statement.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
It was all right, kind of boring.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
That's the first day though, Okay.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
Thumbs up, I get two thumbs up and I walked out.
That was it.

Speaker 4 (19:40):
First day is about between classes and lunch. Yeah, that's it.
Talking to all your friends.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
Who are my teachers? Who are who's in my classes?
What friends? Where am I sitting?

Speaker 3 (19:51):
I mean, I get it, but I don't know. I
guess I was just expecting more.

Speaker 1 (19:56):
I don't know why.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
Yeah, like, did you get lost? Did you find your okay?
Did you shoot to the freshman and then to the senior?
Like I don't know?

Speaker 3 (20:05):
Yeah, you do?

Speaker 2 (20:06):
You have good classes, good friends in your classes, good
lunch period like FI.

Speaker 3 (20:12):
Said, yeah something, Well, they're in it.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
I do want to know, though, I came across a
video of what is obviously a first day of school.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
I do not know.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
I am going to make an assumption that this is
either elementary or.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
Middle school. I don't know for a fact.

Speaker 1 (20:33):
But a teacher has gone viral because she posted a
video about her first day. And you know, I think
first day is this is where you put your books,
This is what we're going to be covering. This is
your synop. What's called syllabus?

Speaker 2 (20:47):
Yeah, sign seed, the sign seats.

Speaker 3 (20:49):
Things like that.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
Well, there was one other thing this teacher had to
point out to her class to make sure everyone in
the class knew where things go and where things belong.

Speaker 3 (20:59):
And we'll take a listen.

Speaker 8 (21:01):
When I was yeah, it was absolutely embarrassing to far
in front of others. We would clinch our booey cheek
and our stomach would be totally totally hurt. But these
kids aren't totally different. I noticed the human kane in the.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
Last three years.

Speaker 8 (21:18):
They literally, I fair believe up their part, they're in
absolutely zero change.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
That is why we're creating a park coort. Yeah, she
created a park corner in her classroom. It's literally a
fart corner in her classroom.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
Yes, I saw her talking about the kids. I guess
she had done it last year, and the kids this
year the first day asked where the fart corner was
because they had heard about it from the previous year
and they were super excited to be able to be
able to avail themselves of this special feature in her class.

Speaker 3 (21:57):
This is heard telling the class what to.

Speaker 8 (22:00):
Do this is our this is our flark corner. If
you need too far, simply come over here. Part Take
about ten second, get you a little spray going on,
Go sit out nobody's Fanta kitchen. Nobody cares, nobody's worried
about it.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
Okay that I'm sorry, but you're lying to your students
right now. Go ahead, because go back to the beginning.
You can hear when she points at the sign, the
kids read it out loud. These are now that I
hear it again, these are elementary kids.

Speaker 8 (22:33):
This is our part corner.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Those are elementary kids, third fourth grade.

Speaker 8 (22:38):
Take about ten second, get your a little spray going on,
nobody's fan attitchen. Nobody cares, nobody's worried about it.

Speaker 2 (22:48):
Is this the same woman, the same teacher who had
the part corner that says the sign says gas station
and you have to go to the gas station.

Speaker 3 (22:56):
No, she literally has a yellow sign that says park corner.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Yeah, I saw a teacher who has a sign that
says gas station, and it's the same thing.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
I just unfortunately I understand what she's trying to do.
But if you play the very end of the clip again,
the last few seconds of the clip of her talking
to the students.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
This is what she says, going.

Speaker 8 (23:17):
On, go sit down, nobody's paying attention, nobody cares, nobody's
worried about it.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
Be ass, you're highlighting it.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
If you are in fourth grade, everyone knows when you're farting,
everyone's gonna pay attention, and everyone's gonna giggle. Yeah, if
you see someone go to the fart corner, you're giggling.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
There's no way.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
Also, shouldn't it be outside the room? I mean, it's
like it's not really doing anything but highlighting that. A
student's going to the corner. Right otherwise, just fart in
your chair? What are we doing here?

Speaker 1 (23:50):
And here's the thing. It's also in like like in
my open space right now, there is nothing around me.
And if I decide to fart, sure whatever. If I'm
in the corner where you enclose the sound waves, it's
it's billowing out, it's reverbing off the wall.

Speaker 4 (24:13):
And if you're in that corner, they know what you're doing.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
Well, so I'm saying they're obviously gonna pay attention to
what you're doing. I'm saying that no one cares. No
one's gonna notice. Everyone's gonna notice you're walking to the
park corner. That's like, that's like back in the day
if someone was going to the dad was going to
the bathroom and he just folded up that newspaper and

(24:35):
tucked it under his right arm. What was going on. Yep,
you walk to the park corner, people are gonna know
and if they're in fourth grade, they're definitely going to
giggle on the inside. So, I mean, I appreciate what
she's trying to do. You're right, everyone does it normalized,
you know, try and normalize it. But I don't know

(24:58):
a fart corner in the class.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
What you should do is have it in your rival
teachers classroom. So tell your kids if they have to
bar to go open the door next door, stick their
little booty in there, and then shut the door up.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
Yeah. Yeah, Now she did say because she's getting a
whole bunch online.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
I mean, she has gone viral for this.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
She did say that, yes, the students can go to
the bathroom if they want to. They don't even ask
her first. They can just go to the bathroom and
do their business and come back. And yes, if they
want to, they can also still fart in their seats
if they choose. Okay, so she's not making them go for.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
The class clown. Let's be honest. I mean, okay, yeah,
you're gonna waltz over there in all your glory.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
Yeah yeah, I'm trying.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
To make your fellow students last.

Speaker 3 (25:44):
You might be right, You might be right.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
Speaking of back to school, I also I completely agree
with this PSA. As students are back at it, you're
going to see the school buses out there.

Speaker 3 (25:55):
So here is your Thursday morning PSA.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
Hi, I'm a kid premier Neighborood.

Speaker 9 (26:00):
I just want to say, now that we're getting back
to school, please pay extra attention while driving. We're going
to be excited to be getting back and seeing our friends,
so sometimes we might be a little distracted. But you're
the adult, so put your phone down and pay attention.
There's no text so important that it cost the kid
has life. Also, when you see a school of bus
coming to a stop, watch for the stop sign and

(26:23):
come to a stop. Don't be able and try to
drive around it. It could really hurt me or one
of my friends. And what kind of piece of people
would want to hurt a kid. But remember, put down
your damn phone and watch out for school buses. Remember
everyone is safer when you don't drive like an Apple.

Speaker 6 (26:44):
Three things you need to know before you go.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
A flash flood morning is an effect for Franklin, Fairfield,
and Licking Counties until eight fifteen this morning, and a
flood watch is an effect for all of central Ohio
this morning. Heavy rain fell overnight, flooding reported in several
spots this morning. There were some early water rescues in
the Columbus area, one on West broad near Washington Boulevard
right around four for fifteen this morning, and rescue crews

(27:08):
helped five have helped people in five vehicles that were
stuck in high water in the area of Jackson Pike
and Dyer Road this morning. Gehanna Jefferson Schools on a
two hour delay because of the rainfall. The same thing
in Licking County, with Licking Heights and Northridge and Southwest
Licking Local there on two hour delays. Also, Pickerington Schools
are canceling classes for today because of flooding. Ice agents

(27:31):
reportedly conducting operations in Springfield. That's according to Springfield Mayor
Rob Rue. The Springfield area is home to about fifteen
thousand Haitian immigrants whose temporary protected status ended in late July.
According to Haitian Support Center in Springfield, seventeen people in
the city have been detained by ICE. One Haitian American
told the Springfield New Sun that he was transporting men
to a work site when he was stopped by ICE

(27:52):
agents for an immigration check, and that five passengers, all
Haitian immigrants, were detained. All five say they have pending
asylum application. Well on the list of important recalls, this
one maybe right toward the top of the list. Hundreds
of ceiling fans are being recalled because the.

Speaker 10 (28:08):
Blanes can separate from the sand motor flywheel while in use.
Oh no, they have had eleven reports of incidents. The
recalled ceiling fans were sold exclusively at home Depot stores
nationwide and at home Depot dot com from January twenty
twenty four through June of twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (28:30):
Four for about one hundred and eighty dollars. They're the
Hampton Bay. How when fifty two inch ceiling fans with
an adjustable led light, Like I said, about eleven reports
so far of incidents involving the blades breaking or separating,
you are being advised to stop using those fans immediately
and contact the company for a refund. And those are
your three things.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
If by some chance I die standing in my living
room because a ceiling fan blade disconnects the lodges into
my forehead, I better have a little minie. What what
Nora would have to do is build me a what

(29:12):
did you build in school? In the shoe boxes, but
build the diorama to put my ashes in.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
And the diorama has to have a ceiling fan at
the top.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
Yeah, and maybe like glu it to the urn or
something like sticking you better. You better make fun of
my death. If a ceiling fan dislodges in my own
living room and hits me in the head, what a
glorious way to go, Kelly. Can you think of your uh,

(29:44):
your favorite insult to throw it someone? I don't think
you're out there just insulting people left and right. But
if you were to insult someone, can you think of
what you might say?

Speaker 2 (29:55):
I'm probably like it would be something I feel bad
about afterwards, but I'd probably say something like listen, genius.

Speaker 3 (30:05):
When they're not really a genius. Wow.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
Don't cut too deep, Kelly, because it's such.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
A like rude arrogant thing to say to somebody. Oh
but yes, that's probably what would come out of my nest.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
Honest, thick, Can you you have a favorite insult?

Speaker 4 (30:22):
Well, there's a couple I can't say.

Speaker 5 (30:24):
Yeah, true, I say, for radio, is you have the
IQ of a donut?

Speaker 1 (30:30):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (30:31):
Yeah, one just pretty much sums it up.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
So we are insulting people's intelligence quite a bit in
this room.

Speaker 4 (30:37):
Yes, I'm just trying to think of it. I guess I know.
There was one where it was like, if I was
going back and forth with you, I said, maybe what's
mad with you? I stuck up for you the other day? Well,
how would you respond to that?

Speaker 5 (30:50):
You stuck up from me because somebody told me you
like to eat ish sandwiches and I said that is
not true.

Speaker 4 (30:56):
Goose doesn't like bread.

Speaker 11 (30:57):
Ah.

Speaker 4 (30:59):
You know, have to be in the moment.

Speaker 3 (31:01):
Yeah, I got you about.

Speaker 2 (31:03):
I fart in your general direction.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
That's always a good one. You look like your face
caught it on fire and somebody put it out with
a rake.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
Yeah again.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
As I as I came across this video, I have
learned that our insults are pretty weak share in the
United States.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
They're pretty basic So.

Speaker 1 (31:24):
I want to share with you this woman from Hungary
who jumped online because she felt the same way. She goes, yeah,
sure you could tell someone to go sucking d whatever,
fine week.

Speaker 3 (31:38):
Take a listen of what she had to say.

Speaker 12 (31:39):
When I tell you that swearing in Hungarian is elite,
I mean it's elite. Biggest pictures are being painted here.

Speaker 4 (31:46):
Man.

Speaker 12 (31:47):
Why would you tell somebody to just get when you
could tell them something along the lines of soapireg what's
a good sample? Which means get sucked off by a
sugaring shark.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
Shivering shark, like a shivering stark.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
And that's how they paint such a picture.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
They just they really, they really just visualize the whole thing.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
Can set someone back in their track. It is going
to stop you writing your tracks because you have to
think about that for two seconds.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
So I had to look up some other Hungarian insults zero,
including uh, this one. I don't know about the copper
dick owl will get you. I don't know what.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
The copper dick legend behind that one.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
It does it sounds like there's a story there.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
There is one.

Speaker 1 (32:39):
Also, Uh, may your e K G flatten? They're going
straight medical. May your e kg flatten or I hope
you poop a hedgehog sideways like that. That's another good one.

(32:59):
But then I got sent down the rabbit hole of
insults from other countries, including a Mandarin insult f the
eighteen generations of your ancestors.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
Oh, there you go. That's thorough.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
They're insulting six hundred of your family tree. There they
are digging deep. You eat pubic hair with salt.

Speaker 4 (33:24):
Dip, salt dip.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
No, just really just stacking on all the grossness that
comes from Vietnam. The Spanish insult suck butter from my ass.

Speaker 13 (33:45):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
Here in the United States we have got mfrs, but
in Iceland they have gfffors forget forget your mother. They're
going after to your grandfather. Yeah, there you go for
the gff or there and uh in a Bulgarian insult,

(34:12):
you're as ugly as salad. Yeah, salad really isn't like
the best looking. Yeah, they've got other foods that look better.
From Bosnia, I dream about farting on you. Woh, you
just want to give the person pink eye. That's your
big insult from Italy. Poop in your hand and slap

(34:39):
yourself in the face.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
These are all created by Yes.

Speaker 3 (34:49):
From Russia.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
If you do something wrong, he asked, andres.

Speaker 4 (34:57):
Oh wow yeah, uh huh.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
And finally from Afrikaans, this one thick. You might want
to put this in your repertoire. Okay, I hope your
fingers change to fishing hooks and you get an itch
in your balls.

Speaker 13 (35:18):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (35:21):
Ohows turned to fishing hooks and you get an itch
in your balls?

Speaker 4 (35:28):
People I can use out?

Speaker 1 (35:29):
Oh yeah, definitely keep that one in the back pocket.
It's a Thursday, which means I.

Speaker 3 (35:36):
Have to visit one of our favorite websites. That would
be f my life.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
People jump online complain about things going wrong in their
life so you can feel better about yours. Like this
person who says, today and my boyfriend has pissed at
me and went so far as to equate it to
cheating that I went out to eat with some friends.
I'd love to go to a restaurant with him and
have planned many trips, but he refuses because he doesn't
eat anything other than beef, cheese, white bread, and chicken nuggets.

(36:00):
The man has a palette of a four year old.
Can I tell you the maverick to my goose? My
best friend from high school the exact same way. We
have gone out to so many meals together, including some
very nice ones, and if it's not steak or a
chicken fingers, he is not eating it. Well, yeah, forty

(36:21):
year old man, you know ten years ago we'd go
out to chicken fingers and priests. Please, we're at a
three star mission in the restaurant. Man, what are you doing?

Speaker 14 (36:29):
Then?

Speaker 2 (36:29):
They better be excellent?

Speaker 6 (36:31):
Come on?

Speaker 4 (36:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (36:32):
Right, this person says today, I was helping a friend
tidyither garden and lifted up a big sheet of plywood.
Turns out there was a wasp nest under it. Also
turns out my friend knew it was there and let
me disturb it because he wanted to see what would happen.

Speaker 2 (36:47):
Oh that reminds me of you making me open your yogurt.
I thought you couldn't get the top off, but you
just wanted me to open it because you thought it
went bad.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
I forgot about that.

Speaker 3 (36:59):
I came the other week last week and I was like, Kelly,
were you opened this?

Speaker 2 (37:03):
She was Good's so easy? I was like, what are
you are your fingers okay?

Speaker 3 (37:07):
It was like yeah, I was sitting in the fridge
like two weeks. I just wanted to make sure it.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
To go back.

Speaker 2 (37:12):
Wanted me to have first step.

Speaker 1 (37:15):
I remember when you started to open it, I like
backed up's real, real slow.

Speaker 7 (37:19):
Like.

Speaker 1 (37:21):
This person says today. I went to the shops with
my little sister. We had to walk through the lingerie
section of the store to get to another part. My
sister then yelled out of the top of her lungs,
stop following me, you freak. I had security security escort
or escort me out of the store with a whole
bunch of dirty looks. I've told this story before. That

(37:42):
reminds me of twenty years ago. I was doing morning
radio in uh Fort Wayne, Indiana, and we had a
big Christmas promotion and we were we were going to
stores and I would randomly walk up to people at
the cash register and just pay their bill whatever Christmas
gifts they were buying. Point I went to like Old
Navy or something, and the cash registers were right next

(38:05):
to the changing rooms, and I was standing behind one
of the clothing racks, watching the register, just waiting for
the waiting for the white person, right person to pay
for Next thing, you know, I get a tap on
my shoulder. One of the store employees called mall security
because they thought I was watching the dressing rooms.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
And you were, but also trying to pay off people.

Speaker 3 (38:24):
Yes, I'm just trying to pay off.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
They had to call the they had to call the
radio station and confirm everything at mess.

Speaker 2 (38:30):
Oh that's so good, yeah, this person.

Speaker 3 (38:36):
Thankfully it could have ended up that way.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
This person says today, I went shopping with my sister's
husband to help him choose a birthday gift for her.
My sister's insane friends saw us, followed us, and then
caused a huge commotion while screaming at us in the
middle of the mall, accusing us of having an affair. Business. Yeah,
this person says today, as I was preparing to clear

(39:00):
and overgrown area of our yard, I treated my pants
and shoes with permitthin, as ticks are a big problem
in our area. I told my girlfriend explicitly not to
let the cat out for the day because well, permitthin
is not good for them. Well she forgot, and now
I'm reapplying permitthin to go back out to dig a grave.

Speaker 2 (39:22):
Oh no, not your fault.

Speaker 3 (39:25):
Not your fault.

Speaker 1 (39:26):
Enough. And finally, this person says today, my sixteen year
old brother managed to convince my twenty two year old
boyfriend that I breastfed my pet parrot. Have you ever
dumped someone for being too dumb? Because I absolutely would
not be with this person anymore. I'm sorry. If you

(39:47):
are my sixteen year old brother convinced you that I
breastfed my parrot, we can't be together.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
You can breastfeed anything with nipples, that is true.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
You can.

Speaker 3 (39:56):
That's my life. I'm sure you've heard it.

Speaker 1 (39:59):
Gofund me website where you can jump online and create
a goal for some fundraising efforts. And GoFundMe has been
used for lots of things, whether it's you know, helping
people in a particular area over a natural disaster. I
know people have put things on there for emergency funds.
I know some people have just jumped online and said, hey,

(40:23):
if everyone donates just one.

Speaker 3 (40:25):
Dollar, I can pay for my college.

Speaker 1 (40:29):
If I just get like one hundred thousand people to
donate one dollar, then I'm set.

Speaker 3 (40:35):
People have made some money doing that.

Speaker 1 (40:36):
You could have some sort of fundraising effort for your
girl Scout troop or your organization, all kinds of things. Well,
this gentleman from North Carolina jumped on GoFundMe to crowdfund
his penis enlargement surgery.

Speaker 3 (40:53):
Now here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
This man, Michael Phillips, actually lives with or I don't
want it, suffers from, but lives with a medical condition,
a valid medical condition called micro penis.

Speaker 3 (41:13):
He measures point three to eight inches. He has to
wear it.

Speaker 1 (41:19):
That's a microw we there's a microw we yes, that
is yeah. Four thousand dollars is the cost of injecting
dermal filler to increase at least the girth of what
he has to try and restore what he calls some
normalcy and comfort in his daily life.

Speaker 3 (41:40):
Now here's the deal.

Speaker 1 (41:41):
He actually raised thirteen five hundred dollars on GoFundMe. The
extra funds are going to be used for follow up
medications and follow up doctor's appointments after the four thousand
dollars for the surgery. So congratulations, sir, I'm glad that
you not only reached your goal, but.

Speaker 3 (41:57):
You tripled it to help out.

Speaker 2 (42:00):
Okay, but you have to sit to pee in that situation, right.

Speaker 1 (42:04):
Yes, okay, yeah, In fact, it is so bad he
actually wears pull ups. Oh oh god, yeah, wow, this
is a medical Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, I oh yeah.
But it brought up the question if you could go
fund me one thing, what would it be. Of course,

(42:27):
this gentleman needed it. This was something that you know,
obviously he's lived with for many, many years, and thankfully
he will be able to at least get some sort
of medical help with this. And I'm not talking medical bills.
This can be absolute fun. I'm not talking about you know,
you needed money to bury your grandfather. If you could
crowdsource gofund me for one thing, what would it be?

Speaker 6 (42:50):
Kelly Steinway Shinway piano?

Speaker 2 (42:54):
I really want one. I can't play it, really, but
I really want want to noodle around on in there.

Speaker 3 (43:02):
How much the Steinway run?

Speaker 2 (43:04):
Well, the one I would want would be maybe between
one fifty two hundred thousands. You get you can spend
way more than that.

Speaker 4 (43:11):
What is it that makes it so great that it
costs that much?

Speaker 2 (43:14):
Well, if they're just hand crafted they are.

Speaker 15 (43:17):
Yeah, it's it's a good wood instead of like cheap wood.

Speaker 2 (43:21):
Gorgeous piano, so it's like a gorgeous piece of furniture,
which is.

Speaker 1 (43:25):
Which is interesting because this gentleman, Michael Phillips, he wanted
Goodwood exactly different anyways.

Speaker 2 (43:32):
Yeah, completely selfish. I don't need it. I'll never get one.
In fact, I would need enough money to get a
new house in order for the Steinway to fit right right.

Speaker 1 (43:42):
Yeah, I got it. That's what this is all about.
You'd get a Steinway thick. What about you?

Speaker 4 (43:47):
Oh, I'd love it. Luxury suite at at and T Stadium?

Speaker 3 (43:51):
Oo okay.

Speaker 4 (43:52):
If we can't do that, how about pay off my house?
That would be next.

Speaker 1 (43:55):
Okay, I'll take So you would do what you would do,
like one one full season in a suite rental at
at and T Stadium if you could go to every
home game?

Speaker 4 (44:05):
Didn't you buy the suite?

Speaker 3 (44:08):
I don't think so.

Speaker 4 (44:08):
Where you get first dip?

Speaker 3 (44:11):
Oh? So you just want to go Lifetime?

Speaker 4 (44:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (44:14):
Okay, all right, Hey it's your big dream?

Speaker 2 (44:18):
Yeah yeah, yeah, I agree lake House.

Speaker 1 (44:21):
I mean, okay, a couple of things. Andy, I'm with you.
If I could do this, I absolutely would. Andy says,
I want to go to space. If I yeah, if
I could buy a seat to space, I would go
to space.

Speaker 4 (44:36):
What's his name with you? Where you go to the
edge kind of thing? Or you want yees going?

Speaker 3 (44:42):
I think I want to go.

Speaker 2 (44:45):
Yeah, exactly, that's embarrassed.

Speaker 1 (44:47):
I don't want four minutes of like, yeah, send me up,
send me up for like a long weekend, send me
up for a Memorial weekend to the ISS and I
would go, Yeah, but I think three three is days
would be enough.

Speaker 4 (45:05):
But I definitely want That's probably all you need.

Speaker 3 (45:06):
Yeah, but I definitely want to see it.

Speaker 1 (45:09):
J c Armstrong says the best VIP tickets to Sonic Temple. Okay, okay.
I think the other thing I would do if I
were to GoFundMe would be like a week long trip
overseas to visit some multiple countries. But I would want
every flight I take, like every other day, would have

(45:30):
to be in the Emirates Air first class where you
get that you're like your own studio apartment.

Speaker 2 (45:38):
A pod.

Speaker 1 (45:39):
Yes, that's exactly what you get. The door closes, the
seat turns into a bed. Every flight would have to
be in one of those pods.

Speaker 4 (45:47):
Oh, here's a guy after your own hearts.

Speaker 5 (45:49):
He wants an rat oh yes, or an SR seventy
one Blackbird.

Speaker 4 (45:55):
I don't know what that is.

Speaker 1 (45:56):
Don't know the blackbird is. That's that long, thin black plane.
It's got the long.

Speaker 4 (46:01):
Extended front end.

Speaker 1 (46:03):
Okay, g I Joe, Yes, yes, seventy one Blackbird.

Speaker 2 (46:06):
Yeah, Chris sa Shiprock for me and my two best friends.

Speaker 1 (46:10):
Oh nice.

Speaker 4 (46:11):
Yeah, Absolutely like to go on ship Rock. Just want
even though I don't like to go to the idea
of going on a cruise.

Speaker 1 (46:17):
See, that might be the other thing, the whatever ultimate
suite you can get on, like one of the nice
cruise ships like in the Norwegian Icon of the Seas
or something. And I want the sweet sweet for a
seven day cruise.

Speaker 4 (46:31):
And no other customers.

Speaker 11 (46:33):
No.

Speaker 1 (46:34):
See, but that's the thing I want. I want the Yeah,
I like, that's part of it. I want the excitement.
Jeremy says I would do a go fund me for
a down payment on a plot of land in the
country where I can get away from everybody.

Speaker 4 (46:47):
Okay, okay, all right.

Speaker 5 (46:48):
Amber says I have lost one hundred and fifty pounds
and kept it off for two years. I'd get some
new boobs and skin removal. I want to be snatched.

Speaker 1 (46:56):
Good for you, Yes, absolutely good for you.

Speaker 11 (46:59):
I know.

Speaker 1 (47:00):
Oh that's a big deal when you lose that much weight.
The follow up to that with the removal of the
excess skin and things like that, or like you said,
reperk your boobs for I could see that.

Speaker 2 (47:13):
Aaron says he wants a grandfather clock. So both me
and Aaron are going for big pieces of furniture.

Speaker 1 (47:19):
Yeah right. I will tell you if you ever do
your research online looking for your grandfather clock, make sure
you do not forget.

Speaker 11 (47:26):
The l.

Speaker 2 (47:30):
What good tip.

Speaker 1 (47:33):
Yes, Google searchals will be way different, just so you know.
Let's see, Rachel says, I need and fifty dollars very
specific to pity my aunt back for helping me with
my two transmissions this summer. How did you go through
two transmissions in one summer? But that's very nice.

Speaker 2 (47:54):
What a nice aunt you have.

Speaker 1 (47:56):
Melissa says, I want to gofund me to buy a
piece of land and rescue dogs. Oh Melissa, that's so great.
Let's see, wants.

Speaker 2 (48:08):
To send your son on his school trip to DC.
That is a worthy gofund me right there.

Speaker 1 (48:12):
Let me tell you all we did this. I highly
recommend it. They do fundraisers and you can they in
fact some of a lot of these Washington DC trips
because we just did this last year with the younger
one who did his eighth grade trip. They have websites
you can like go fund me, but they I think
a lot of these DC trips they have a specific
website where family and friends can donate to the trip.

(48:34):
So I highly recommend doing that.

Speaker 4 (48:36):
Ye Oh, that's cool.

Speaker 1 (48:37):
Yeah, let's see. Cameron says, I'm about to have my
first kid, and I'd started go fund me to buy
a more reliable car. I have a two thousand and
seven GTI want to get something more like a twenty
twenty little safer less sporty. Only need about fifteen k Okay, Cameron,
you go home.

Speaker 4 (48:55):
Kyle says I'd go fund me to take me and
my hybrid to Norway eight.

Speaker 1 (48:59):
Hundred at a two one ninety nine seven. Oh, what
would you start to go fund me on blitz? Hi?

Speaker 3 (49:04):
Who's this?

Speaker 1 (49:06):
Jesse? Jesse? What would you start to go fund before?
If it could be for anything you.

Speaker 3 (49:09):
Wanted but you don't, I'd go for an old Harley
with a side piece.

Speaker 4 (49:15):
Side car.

Speaker 1 (49:17):
Wait, I was wondering, Yeah, because I didn't know they
were called side pieces.

Speaker 2 (49:22):
You can't get both.

Speaker 4 (49:23):
Wow, you need the sidecar to have the side piece, right?

Speaker 1 (49:26):
I see, if I would if I have a side piece,
I want to backpack I don't want a sidecar.

Speaker 3 (49:31):
I want her to backpack it.

Speaker 4 (49:33):
Well, Nora's on the back, the side piece is in
the sidecar.

Speaker 1 (49:36):
Good call? Fair enough? Yes, because that's gonna go over swimmingly.
Let me tell you eight hundred eight two one ninety
nine seven. Oh, if you had to go fundme, what
would it be for? I would love to know?

Speaker 3 (49:48):
It could be anything you want. Blitz Hi, who's this.

Speaker 1 (49:51):
Rob? What what are you setting up a go fund
me for? Oh?

Speaker 14 (49:55):
I did set one up. The local bar down in
Athens where I just moved to, has crappy dartboards. I
thought it wouldn't it be nice to have new dart boards.

Speaker 13 (50:05):
And I could have paid for them, but I didn't want.

Speaker 14 (50:07):
To pay out two hundred dollars for the whole shebang,
and I got roasted for it because everybody's like, who
is this guy?

Speaker 6 (50:14):
Don't buy this scam?

Speaker 13 (50:15):
And I was told to take it down immediately.

Speaker 2 (50:18):
Oh, I know, trying to be a good neighbor.

Speaker 1 (50:20):
Did you have like a note on your GoFundMe saying
this is our favorite hole in the wall, we want
a place to hang we need better dartboards. Absolutely, yeah,
I'm sorry man. Well, I'll wait two hundred dollars. Oh,
so you just wanted like a real cork dartboard. This
isn't the electrical ones because those are more than two
hundred dollars.

Speaker 14 (50:37):
No, No, No, two dart boards, two scoreboards, and the gofund me.

Speaker 13 (50:42):
I've never done it before, and it says ask for just.

Speaker 14 (50:44):
A little buffer in case they're shipping taxes. And I
had like maybe an extra twenty or forty bucks, and
I figured whatever was left over, I would buy some
bar darts for.

Speaker 3 (50:55):
Every Yeah, yeah, of course.

Speaker 2 (50:56):
Let me ask you this though. You just moved there,
and I don't know if tones and athens are suspicious
of new people, so maybe that's why you couldn't get
any traction.

Speaker 6 (51:06):
I used to like hippies, so I moved down there.

Speaker 3 (51:08):
What the name of the bar is tippies.

Speaker 13 (51:12):
No, I used to like hippies.

Speaker 1 (51:15):
Hippies, I got you. What's the name of the bar Tony's. Tony's.
Let's get some new dartboards in there for people to
play their darts on. You know you can't play on crappy.

Speaker 2 (51:29):
I'm sorry you were only trying to.

Speaker 13 (51:31):
I'm in there for years because I had land down there.

Speaker 2 (51:34):
And so they should know use. Yeah, well I'm disappointed Athens.

Speaker 1 (51:40):
Good luck on raising You'll find a way. You'll find
a way. Then Tony's need their need their boards, So
good luck on that.

Speaker 3 (51:48):
Eight two sorry seven? Oh blitz?

Speaker 12 (51:51):
Hi?

Speaker 1 (51:51):
Who's this Crystal? You started gofund me? What are you
raising funds for? What do you want.

Speaker 16 (52:00):
To get my husband a vehicle? I'm an asmal failure
and he's lost several jobs trying to take me back
and forth to the hospital. And now his car is
on capoot and we have one vehicle and he just
deserves it, you know, Yeah, I hear you.

Speaker 3 (52:18):
I hate what a car is on caput.

Speaker 1 (52:21):
That's the worst think you just had that, didn't you yesterday?

Speaker 4 (52:24):
You had to grand.

Speaker 5 (52:27):
That was not a selfish one. There, she should she
should start that. Go fud me for real, like Keith
to get my teeth fixed. Yeah, that's a big deal.

Speaker 1 (52:36):
Absolutely. Or you can be like Terrence who just wants
a Pez collection.

Speaker 2 (52:42):
PEZ collection, has a Pez collection. Maybe he needs some
more space to store them. Did you see the picture?
He says?

Speaker 1 (52:49):
Oh my god, wait what thousands of Pez? You don't
need any more Pez.

Speaker 3 (52:53):
You have an entire room.

Speaker 1 (52:55):
Look at that Pens collection.

Speaker 13 (52:57):
Cool.

Speaker 2 (52:58):
Actually, it's like comus a Pez museum.

Speaker 4 (53:01):
That's insane.

Speaker 2 (53:01):
It's really neat.

Speaker 3 (53:02):
Wait, he's got one, two, three, four suits.

Speaker 4 (53:06):
That's crazy.

Speaker 2 (53:07):
Like show.

Speaker 1 (53:08):
He's got at least sixty four teenage mutant ninja turtles Pez.

Speaker 4 (53:11):
How long you been setting that up?

Speaker 2 (53:14):
These are all back lit? It's beautiful.

Speaker 4 (53:17):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (53:18):
All right, No, sir, you cannot have I will not
donate to your terrence.

Speaker 3 (53:22):
I will not do donate to your gofund me. You
have enough pezz.

Speaker 1 (53:25):
You've decided now the.

Speaker 6 (53:28):
Three things you need to know before you go.

Speaker 2 (53:32):
Just a note, we're still dealing with some high water
out there, so just use plenty of caution as you're
out driving this morning. Authorities are investigating after a body
was found inside a home in Worthington Hills yesterday. Perry
Township Police officers were serving a warrant related to financial
exploitation on Oakbourne Drive when they discovered the deceased woman.
No cause of death has been released. The Ohio BCI

(53:53):
is assisting with the investigation. An experimental vaccine treatment is
showing signs of preventing cancer from returning or spreading in
a study of high risk melanoma patients. That's according to
pharmaceutical giants Maderna and Merk. Interim results from the trial
show the vaccine, used in combination with the cancer immunotherapy

(54:15):
key Truda, appeared to extend the time before cancer return
in those patients. While the Army is dangling an unusual
perk to get some soldiers to enlist or reenlist rather
and it is working, it's time off to play the
next grand theft auto What at Georgie. Yes, at Georgia's
Fort Stewart, the ninth Brigade Engineering Battalion is offering a

(54:37):
four day pass tied to the launch of GTA six
later this year as a re enlistment incentive, and so
far twenty soldiers have taken them up on it. They
have signed. You have to sign for two more years,
and of course you get the regular perks of like
a base pay increase and oh some other perks they offer.

Speaker 3 (54:57):
But I wonder if these twenty soldiers.

Speaker 2 (54:59):
Are our life career yeah.

Speaker 3 (55:02):
Military men or women anyways, and.

Speaker 2 (55:04):
They were just up at the right.

Speaker 1 (55:06):
Time exactly because they're planning on doing their twenty years.

Speaker 3 (55:09):
They're gonna get their full pensions.

Speaker 1 (55:10):
They want all the lifetime benefits, so they're gonna stay
the twenty years.

Speaker 2 (55:13):
Anyways, if you don't reenlist, you can have the rest
of your life to play GTA six. I don't need
the four days off, but I think it's kind of
a nice thing to do for people who are you
serving in our military, So hey, go for it. Those
are your three things.

Speaker 1 (55:30):
A woman has jumped on TikTok. She works for a
concert venue. She doesn't say which one, but she works
in the marketing department, and she does a lot of
work on social media, and she states that it is
her job to get gen xers to come back and
see shows. I guess they've seen a big dip in
gen xers going to concerts, and so she wants to
know what's it gonna take to get you to.

Speaker 3 (55:52):
Come back to concerts.

Speaker 1 (55:53):
Where there's a comedian by the name of Dan Reagan,
and he has jumped online to do one of these
stitch videos where he is answering the question what will
it take for gen xers because he himself is a
gen xer, and so he puts it out there and
I wanted to play his answers and see if we
all agree with his suggestions on what's going to bring
us back to concerts. Okay, so here we go. Here's
the first one.

Speaker 16 (56:13):
Like, help me out here.

Speaker 9 (56:14):
What is it going to take to get you guys
going out again?

Speaker 11 (56:17):
Okay, I have a few suggestions.

Speaker 1 (56:19):
You're ready.

Speaker 11 (56:20):
First, physical tickets. No more of this scanning thingy stuff.
We panic that it's not going to scan at the venue.
We're not going to have cell service. It's too much pressure. Plus,
we'd like to save the stub as a souvenir, so
we get tape it to our mirror when we get home.
And the purchase of your ticket should include complimentary readers
and ibuprofen. I'm sure you can get some company to

(56:42):
agree to this so they can slap their name on
the glasses we would wear them.

Speaker 1 (56:46):
Okay, now, physical tickets. I disagree with his first statement,
And maybe it's because I am as zennial, which is
the end of the gen X revolution.

Speaker 3 (57:02):
Those last few years.

Speaker 1 (57:03):
I think they categorize it as like seventy six to
eighty two, as those last five or six years that
are their own little subgroup. Because we grew up analog
and we were the first to kind of have digital
through our middle school high school years, so I don't
mind the scanning. I'm also, like you, Calum, addicted to
my phone. I don't mind apps, so I'm okay, not

(57:25):
to mention. I am also at the age now where
I'm getting rid of stuff. Don't get me wrong. I
like collectibles and things like that. I don't need more
ticket stubs. I'm good. I'm starting to get rid of things.
I don't need more collectibles.

Speaker 2 (57:38):
Yeah, I've never been a ticket stub collector, so I
don't care about digital tickets. That's fine by me. It
makes it easy on me, and I'm not worried about
losing my tickets. Are forgetting my tickets because I always
have my phone on me.

Speaker 1 (57:49):
Right, Fig, I have a feeling you're on the opposite
end of this.

Speaker 4 (57:51):
No, actually I'm not okay.

Speaker 5 (57:53):
You know, when I was young, high school and into
my twenties, I did save my ticket stubs. I still
have a bunch of jocks, but I stopped. I'm like, necessarily,
I don't need these, right, I remember the show I
stopped before they stopped selling the tickets, so I didn't
care before that happened.

Speaker 1 (58:07):
Yeah, I think I have a couple of from shows
that Nora and I have gone to like special shows.

Speaker 4 (58:13):
It's important.

Speaker 1 (58:13):
Yeah, but that's really about it. And then of course
he jokes about the readers and ibuprofen.

Speaker 3 (58:19):
Yeah, okay.

Speaker 1 (58:20):
Next, do we need to put chairs in the venue?

Speaker 2 (58:22):
Do you need chairs?

Speaker 11 (58:23):
That was on my list. Yes, chairs would be awesome,
panted chairs with the back. None of those stools are
high chairs, or SAYATI can't deal with that. Clean rushrooms.

Speaker 3 (58:35):
All right, chairs? I cannot tell you.

Speaker 1 (58:38):
On last Saturday at Tomato Festival, when ever Clear played,
my seven son wanted to come. He ran. He was
up against the metal barrier with the rest of the
people standing up there. I had my folding chair all
the way in the back of the grassy knoll. I
was not standing there for an hour. It would have to.

Speaker 3 (58:57):
I stood for Public Enemy.

Speaker 1 (58:59):
At Sounding Temple, this here, and we were way up front,
and I was very mad at myself for doing so.
I want, Yeah, I want a section where I can
stand up and sit down when I want to.

Speaker 2 (59:12):
Yeah, you want to be in a proper venue where
there are it's their seats. It's not just like a
standing so it's not like the Newport where you're standing.

Speaker 3 (59:20):
For two The entire time. Yeah, yeah, I definitely don't
want to get that.

Speaker 2 (59:23):
I'm going to Rush sub weddit reddit because we're going
to see Rush next month and I'm looking forward to it.
And a lot of the topics are are we sitting
or standing? Because all their you know, hardcore rush bands
are all older, right, yes, and you know you can
tell the younger ones are like, good stand, it's a
rock concert. Nobody sits at a rock concert. And we're like, uh,

(59:45):
we're sixty now we want to see.

Speaker 1 (59:49):
Yes, what's next?

Speaker 11 (59:51):
The clean rushrooms. I once gave a restaurant a five
star review because they had an immaculate rushroom.

Speaker 1 (59:59):
Yeah, is this.

Speaker 2 (01:00:00):
Guy talking from a nursing home. I'm like, man, you're
that old? Are you where you can't just like, if
you have to go, you have to go. I'm not
worried about the quality of a porta potty or a restroom.
You know what you're getting. It's gonna stink and be sticky.
You've gotta go.

Speaker 1 (01:00:17):
True, but it would be nice.

Speaker 2 (01:00:18):
Okay, it's fine, but it's not a make or break
whether I'm gonna go to a concert.

Speaker 3 (01:00:22):
I agree, it's not a make or break. Yes, what's next?

Speaker 11 (01:00:25):
The find the band one thousand dollars for every minute
they are late taking the stage from the start time. Yes,
because we most likely took a nap before we got
there and already calculated what time we're going to bed
that night. If they're late, we have to do math
and recalculate.

Speaker 1 (01:00:42):
Yes, I kind of like that start on time. Yes,
if there's a weather delay out of control of five
But you especially see it a lot with some of
these younger artists that are taking the stage half an hour,
forty five minutes, two hours late.

Speaker 5 (01:00:57):
Was it Madonna recently three hours later? There was a
stretch there where Axel.

Speaker 4 (01:01:03):
Was late to every Guns and Roses cuts.

Speaker 3 (01:01:05):
Like two hours.

Speaker 4 (01:01:06):
Yeah, no, they were going on at eleven twelve, olock.

Speaker 3 (01:01:09):
You will lose my fandom if you're two hours late
to a show?

Speaker 2 (01:01:11):
Can you get your money back? If it's like an
hour late and you decide and you just go up
to the ticket office and say I'm leaving, I'm leaving.

Speaker 1 (01:01:17):
Right, you absolutely should be able to do so.

Speaker 11 (01:01:20):
Wasn't it it's spring or summer? That should start no
later than three pm, so we could be home by
six pm. That is huge because it will still be
light out and we don't have to worry about driving
home in the dark.

Speaker 4 (01:01:30):
I know where Kelly stands on this.

Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
Okay, I know exactly where I stand is with him,
but hearing him say it makes me think he's so lame,
So I'm laying I get it, but I agree I
like an earlier option for a show. It does take
a little of the ambiance away.

Speaker 1 (01:01:47):
Say, yes, I get the early start time, don't get
me wrong, but when the lights go down and you
can see the full immersion of the light show and
the screen and the flames and all that kind.

Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
Of stuff, evening experience.

Speaker 1 (01:01:59):
It's not the same. Anyone who's been a sound and
temple nos Don't get me wrong. Some of the bands
kill it during the middle of the day, yeah, but
those night shows are completely different once the son goes down.

Speaker 3 (01:02:10):
Yeah, completely different. And finally, because.

Speaker 15 (01:02:12):
I'm gonna tell you this right now, if you don't
start stepping up, these bands are gonna stop touring.

Speaker 11 (01:02:16):
And this may ruffle some gen X feathers, but lock
all cell phones and those protective padded cases so we
can't access them during the show, because I'm there to
see the band, not twenty thousand amateur photographers who are
going to post it on social media.

Speaker 1 (01:02:31):
If you're ever Let's say you're you know, a football
field back. Let's say you got floor seats, but you're
a football field back or a soccer field back, whatever,
and you just see row after you're watching the show
through seventeen screens.

Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
Yeah, it's very fasting.

Speaker 3 (01:02:46):
Yeah, put your phone down.

Speaker 1 (01:02:48):
Are I approve one video from everyone, whether it's the
opening of the show when they do the big reveal
and the screen dropped, or maybe your favorite song you
get to record the chorus. Fine, everyone gets one video,
but standing there for the whole show or nine or
ten a dozen different times with your phone above it, you.

Speaker 2 (01:03:06):
Record an entire song. You can record a snippet, right,
that's it.

Speaker 6 (01:03:10):
You get the chorus, You get the chorus.

Speaker 1 (01:03:12):
Put your phone's away, live in the moment, Come on
the I'm sorry we gonna say that club?

Speaker 4 (01:03:17):
Oh just that.

Speaker 5 (01:03:19):
I don't want the seats like you guys.

Speaker 4 (01:03:22):
You guys want seats to sit down. Oh you don't
want I want the floor.

Speaker 5 (01:03:25):
I want no seats because I always am gonna have
the opportunity to be in the.

Speaker 4 (01:03:29):
First three rows.

Speaker 2 (01:03:31):
You in your strong back.

Speaker 1 (01:03:33):
Okay, well maybe I'm doing squads and backs.

Speaker 5 (01:03:37):
I don't even want to go to a show if
I have to sit in a seat, be on that floor,
being able to get.

Speaker 1 (01:03:42):
Up there and work your way allay front every time
you knock yourself out with that one.

Speaker 7 (01:03:48):
Not so breaking news. The news already broke. We're trying
to put it back together.

Speaker 1 (01:03:55):
All right. Our first story takes us over to let's
see here, oh Missouri, Camden, Missouri, where a man by
the name of Kevin Jones, a forty five year old,
is now being held without bond in the Camden County
Jail on fellony charges of drug trafficking and delivering a
controlled substance. You see, Kevin's nickname is Bluntman, and Kevin

(01:04:18):
enjoys going to the gathering of the Juggalos every year.
He's an ICP fan, and I guess Bluntman Kevin Jones
has made quite the name for himself because he's the
one who if you need to smoke a little some
some or get your hands on a little some some,
he's the one you go to the week. In fact,

(01:04:42):
on the website juggalogathering dot com, a Bluntman's one stop
shop is advertised. Apparently he's been supplying the festival for
more than twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:04:55):
Years, a heritage business, Yes Smoke.

Speaker 1 (01:05:01):
Mid Missouri Drug Task Force received information that he planned
to distribute marijuana and other drugs during the festival which
begins well, which did begin on Wednesday, and unfortunately, he
was pulled over and stopped for a traffic violation on
US fifty four there on his way to the gathering
of the Juggalos and inside they found approximately one hundred
and twenty eight pounds of marijuana in the camper being towed. Wow.

(01:05:26):
They also found plastic containers, psilocybin, mushrooms, and a sign
that says weed for sale. Yeah, if you're gonna have
a sign that says weed for sales, kind of hard
to deny the fact that you're going to be trafficking drugs.

Speaker 6 (01:05:39):
Is it primo weed?

Speaker 3 (01:05:41):
It's a valid question.

Speaker 1 (01:05:42):
But if you've been doing it for twenty years and
you're known as blunt Man, I'm assuming you probably have
the good stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:05:47):
He's going to be spending a little time behind bars.

Speaker 1 (01:05:50):
Storing Number two takes us over to California to Vandenberg
Space Force Base. I guess Space Force was getting ready
to reveal a new training facility for missile operators at
the Federal Airfield there near Santa Barbara. Well, because they
were unveiling this new training and this new facility, they

(01:06:12):
invited five news reporters and two members of the military
to a private screening, if you will, of the new
facility and how the training will take place for the
new missile operators. Well, upon arriving onto Vandenburgh's Space Force
Base to military which, by the way, these five reporters

(01:06:37):
and these two military personnel were being escorted by other
military personnel and employees and pr people for the White House. Unfortunately,
I guess the MPs at Vandenberg Space Force Base didn't
know what was going on. They've been at a heightened
sent a sense of security for a while now, and

(01:06:59):
these five and these two military employees were handcuff and
detained while trying to get on base. No one passed
the word down that said, hey, we've got visitors coming today.
No one said, hey, keep an eye out for these
five reporters and these two military personnel who are coming.

Speaker 2 (01:07:20):
It's not a very warm welcome.

Speaker 3 (01:07:21):
No, not at all.

Speaker 1 (01:07:23):
The two military personnel were escorted away and questioned. The
five journalists were placed on the curb in handcuffs as
they tried to figure everything out. Took about thirty minutes
to do so, and because of that, everyone missed the tour.
So the whole reason this whole thing was set up.

(01:07:43):
They were escorted away. They did not get to take
the tour. They had guns pointed at them, sirens were sounded,
barricades went up at the gate entrance like it was
basically a full blown lockdown because of visit is coming
to see the new training facility.

Speaker 2 (01:08:03):
Marsh They don't mess around.

Speaker 1 (01:08:04):
No, if you're gonna do your communication, people communication. Someone
didn't get the memo, and that was a pretty important.

Speaker 2 (01:08:14):
Memo, just a quick email. I everyone know what's going on.

Speaker 3 (01:08:18):
Yeah, let you're not so breaking news.

Speaker 1 (01:08:20):
It's the morning Blitz. It's time rock and rumble, Kelly Vsus.

Speaker 4 (01:08:30):
Goose, Oh the Blitz.

Speaker 1 (01:08:33):
As we've been doing all week long. We've got tickets
for Louder than Life going down September seventeenth through the
twentieth at Highlands Festival Grounds there in Louisville, Kentucky. And
today we have got your single day passes for a
Sunday's lineup with headliner tool on the docket, gonna be
a great show. Who ELPs this performing thick?

Speaker 4 (01:08:52):
Let's see prodigies? There Gojira, Masta down?

Speaker 3 (01:08:56):
Okay, nice, there was a heavy day, Yeah for sure.

Speaker 4 (01:09:00):
Black label society.

Speaker 3 (01:09:01):
Now here's the deal.

Speaker 1 (01:09:03):
We've played this game a couple times, and this is
the musical speed test. This is where sixty seconds go
on the clock. I think we'll play a clip of
a song and we have to identify the title of
artists as quickly as possible, and we have the name
as many as we can in sixty seconds and both times,
and this is verifiable through listeners and through text messages.

Speaker 3 (01:09:27):
Kelly's got the easier rounds.

Speaker 2 (01:09:29):
Oh, come on, you for a sport.

Speaker 5 (01:09:31):
We can go back and look at those texts and
neither there are something that will disagree with you on.

Speaker 1 (01:09:35):
That majority in our democratic in our democratic society.

Speaker 3 (01:09:42):
Well we're going to fix that, Yes we are.

Speaker 1 (01:09:44):
So today we're changing it up. We're still gonna do
the musical speed test. However, to make it even, we
are both getting the same test.

Speaker 2 (01:09:53):
Oh, yes, that works.

Speaker 1 (01:09:56):
And so what's going to happen is in just a moment,
one of us is going to actually leave the room
and go into our little side producer studio for sixty
seconds soundproof soundproof system. Someone's gonna play, the other person's
gonna come back and play the exact same game with
the exact same songs to make it one even I

(01:10:18):
like this role. Now, Kelly, I will give you the choice. Okay,
do you want to go first or second? For the
musical speed test. I want to go first, Okay, So
I means I will leave the room first, and then
I will come back and I will do the exact
same music that you do and see who gets more. Right.
But we gotta find out who's gonna win these tickets.
So eight hundred eight two one ninety nine seven. Oh,

(01:10:39):
we need two contestants. And I'll say this again as
I've said every day this week. Normally when we do
a rumble, we'll give away two pair of passes, one
to each, but today we only have one pair. So
someone will win and someone will lose. That's just the
name of the game this week. BLA T Hi, who's this?

Speaker 3 (01:10:55):
It's Tyler?

Speaker 1 (01:10:56):
Tyler?

Speaker 3 (01:10:57):
Hey man?

Speaker 1 (01:10:57):
All right, your choice? You called in first? You want
to go with Kelly or Goose?

Speaker 11 (01:11:02):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (01:11:03):
Now, Remember, we're changing it up.

Speaker 1 (01:11:05):
We're both doing the same test this time, so Kelly
will not have an advantage like she has every other time.

Speaker 2 (01:11:11):
Oh my gosh, are you joking, Tyler. It's not gonna hurt.
It won't hurt my feelings. It won't.

Speaker 6 (01:11:17):
I was gonna go with Kelly.

Speaker 2 (01:11:18):
She's been on a roll.

Speaker 14 (01:11:20):
But because of these new stipulations.

Speaker 15 (01:11:26):
See, they all know you've had an advantage before.

Speaker 2 (01:11:29):
It's even Kenny wants to pull you down.

Speaker 1 (01:11:33):
Things are even keel. They know you don't stand a chance, Tyler.
Hang on one second, we gotta find someone else. Blin tie,
who's this? Hello? Blitz?

Speaker 6 (01:11:47):
Hello?

Speaker 1 (01:11:48):
Who says Christine? All right, Christine, you called in seconds,
so you are stuck with Kelly. I'm sorry for your.

Speaker 16 (01:11:57):
Kelly is my girl.

Speaker 12 (01:11:58):
I'm trying with that.

Speaker 1 (01:11:59):
Okay, that all the sex is Tyler and Christine, Tyler
with me and Christine with Kelly.

Speaker 3 (01:12:06):
All Right, you guys, hang on. I am going to
leave the studio.

Speaker 4 (01:12:10):
There's definitely no sound over there.

Speaker 1 (01:12:11):
Right, I'll knock on the window. I'll let you know
I'm leaving right now.

Speaker 4 (01:12:15):
I confirmed Kelly, or shut up?

Speaker 2 (01:12:23):
Oh, let's say the worst thing is possible. Right now
about Goose and see if he reacts.

Speaker 1 (01:12:28):
Well, you know what's.

Speaker 5 (01:12:29):
Funny is he doesn't know what songs I'm actually playing,
So I could give you a different list and he
wouldn't even know.

Speaker 2 (01:12:34):
You wouldn't even know. That's true. Can you hear anything?

Speaker 9 (01:12:37):
Goose?

Speaker 2 (01:12:38):
He said, no?

Speaker 4 (01:12:38):
Can Do you know what I even said?

Speaker 2 (01:12:41):
He doesn't?

Speaker 4 (01:12:42):
Okay, how big his eyes on?

Speaker 2 (01:12:44):
Yeah? Yeah, he can't hear anything. All right, all right,
let's see he's knocking. You can hear it here?

Speaker 15 (01:12:54):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (01:12:54):
He says, he turned it off?

Speaker 2 (01:12:56):
Okay, all right, I believe he's not a chiever.

Speaker 4 (01:13:00):
He's not.

Speaker 2 (01:13:02):
All right, I'm holding all right, it's off. I'm holding
up of paper so you can't breathe lips.

Speaker 4 (01:13:08):
Why you ready?

Speaker 2 (01:13:09):
Ready?

Speaker 4 (01:13:10):
Sixty seconds on the clock? Title artist? As mean as
you cannot? Here we go, crap?

Speaker 2 (01:13:20):

Speaker 3 (01:13:25):

Speaker 4 (01:14:17):

Speaker 2 (01:14:21):

Speaker 2 (01:14:49):

to do it.

Speaker 4 (01:14:50):
Okay, she got eight.

Speaker 1 (01:14:53):

Speaker 3 (01:14:54):

Speaker 3 (01:15:03):

Speaker 1 (01:15:04):

Speaker 4 (01:15:06):
Not even he did.

Speaker 3 (01:15:08):

Speaker 2 (01:16:33):

I just say, what do you call it? Sudden death?

Speaker 4 (01:16:40):
Are in the same time. How are we doing it?

Speaker 2 (01:16:42):
Yeah, we're just gonna do it together, allright? Whoever gets
at the fastest?

Speaker 4 (01:16:47):
So like, just what you ever get one song? You
just want one song?

Speaker 2 (01:16:50):

Speaker 4 (01:16:51):

Speaker 2 (01:16:52):

Speaker 2 (01:17:52):
Oh yeah, so backwards in a winning situation?

Speaker 1 (01:17:57):
Yes, all right, Well I will say I like this
version better though, I do too. I mean it's pretty fair.

Speaker 3 (01:18:09):
That is all right?

Speaker 1 (01:18:11):
Okay, fine, Christine, you have got Sunday tickets for Louder
Than Life. You are going to be there on the
twentieth to check out a headliner, tool and a whole
bunch of other bands all day long.

Speaker 3 (01:18:20):
Okay, awesome, thank you, You're welcome.

Speaker 1 (01:18:25):
Tyler. I can't argue with this one. She got it.

Speaker 3 (01:18:28):
She got it.

Speaker 1 (01:18:29):
Well, thanks so much, you guys, hang on and yeah, well, Tyler,
the good news is you're available to play again tomorrow.
We have got VIP weekend tickets. For the entire weekend.
We've been doing single day passes, but to wrap up
the week we are giving away a pair of VIP passes,
which we will do tomorrow for Louder than Life nine
Night Some of the Blitz.

Speaker 6 (01:18:50):
Now all the three things you need to know before
you go Well.

Speaker 2 (01:18:55):
Prince Harry and Megan Markle are moving back to England
this month, ending their imposed exile that was a rough
experiment in the United States. I think their two young
children will be starting school in England this September. The
couple plans to keep their California home and a holiday
place in Portugal while taking on a new private residence

(01:19:16):
in the UK that will be their primary place to live.
Their status is non working Royals will not change. They
will remain private citizens when in Britain, Robin williams Instagram
account is active again and his children say AI is
the reason. Zach Zelda and Cody Williams announced in a
post that they are reviving their dad's Instagram page to

(01:19:37):
give fans of verified source for clips, photos and memories
of their father because what they're calling a rampant AI
abuse of his image and voice that are being spread online.
We know Robin Williams died in twenty fourteen, but his
kids are saying that AI generated videos are showing him
doing new stand up, appearing on podcasts and things he
never did. And his kids say the recreations are at

(01:20:01):
best a poor facsimile of their dad and at worst
a horrendous Frankensteinian monster, and that would be rough as
the kids to see weird stuff being made about your dad. Yeah,
they opened up that Instagram account again. A Christian metal
band called Demon Hunter says Netflix's K Pop Demon Hunters

(01:20:22):
is putting its name and business at risk and they're suing.
The band's been touring and releasing albums for twenty five
years and by the way, they their name is trademarked
and they say the overlap and name has caused significant
confusion in music, touring and in merch They cite one

(01:20:42):
person who spent five hundred dollars on concert tickets believing
they were for a kid friendly K pop show in Albany,
New York, and when they got there it was Christian metal.
The band at Demon Hunter says they've had to surrender
their brand because Netflix has way more money to fight.
The brand name, like I said, is trademarked and has

(01:21:04):
been since way before the movie came out, and they're
asking that Netflix be barred from using the name K
Pop Demon Hunters for recordings, live shows, and for merchandise.
The Netflix film is the most watched original ever and
there's a sequel and global tour, a tour plan for
next year, so they're gonna have to get this sorted out.

Speaker 4 (01:21:27):
I feel like, Okay, here they are. This is our
Christian metal blank.

Speaker 2 (01:21:34):
Yeah, how could you tell?

Speaker 1 (01:21:39):
I hate to say it, but just mathematically, I'm thinking
that Netflix and K Pop Demon Hunters and the company
that owns them, being the most successful show ever put
on Netflix probably has more legal money set aside than
a Christian heavy metal band. Y.

Speaker 3 (01:21:58):
Yeah, appreciate you're not going to win this one.

Speaker 2 (01:22:00):
Yeah, yeah, I guess your name is protected. Yeah, it
is trademarked. It was trademarked in twenty twenty two, and
K pop Demon Hunters came out in twenty twenty five.
They have been touring for twenty five years and putting
out albums, music selling merch. Okay, sure they may have
a legal some legal ground here.

Speaker 1 (01:22:21):
They might. They might, but you know what, they're gonna
get buried under paperwork for the next ten years and
they're not gonna be able to afford it. That's the
way the legal system works. I don't care if you're
trademarked or not. Yeah, you're not saying that it's right.
You're just saying.

Speaker 3 (01:22:32):
I'm saying they're gonna lose reality.

Speaker 2 (01:22:34):
Well, anyway, that's what's going on there, and those are
your three things, all right.

Speaker 1 (01:22:40):
I gotta share this story with you coming out of
Florida as a woman was just arrested. Monique Turnbull, thirty one,
of Miami, was arrested in Martin County Sheriff's office. Apparently,
she showed up at senior citizens' homes pretending to work
for alleged victims and their banks and then would get

(01:23:01):
information and take money out. And when she was finally arrested,
they said she had thirty two hundred dollars on her. However,
that thirty two hundred dollars was not necessarily on her
as it was so.

Speaker 3 (01:23:17):
Much in her.

Speaker 1 (01:23:20):
Yeah, she had money hidden in more than one orphsis sources. Yeah, well,
here's the deal. She has been arrested. She's facing charges
of a scheme to defraud fell in the use of
two way communication devices, fraudulent use of credit or debit
cards without consent, and victims of sixty year older.

Speaker 3 (01:23:45):
Here's the problem.

Speaker 1 (01:23:47):
Now that the cash has been logged for evidence and
placed inside of a evidence locker, the case will now continue,
but it has brought up a bigger question as thirty
two hundred dollars is just sitting there, and they've got
lots of money sitting in their evidence locker, and after

(01:24:10):
the case is over. Sometimes this money doesn't necessarily belong
to anyone person. They're not giving it back to the criminal.
Obviously his money was not theirs, so what do they
do with it? Well, an IPO Information Police officer was
interviewed and asked and said, yeah, eventually that money will

(01:24:30):
go back into circulation. What I don't want your orifice
money going back into circulation, Burn it and make some
new ones.

Speaker 5 (01:24:40):
Yeah, I mean, don't they do that with like money
that gets torn up, Like what if a bill got
ripped in half?

Speaker 4 (01:24:45):
Yeah, when they were.

Speaker 1 (01:24:46):
Well, money is destroyed all the time. As bills get older,
they destroy it and they make new ones. But no,
they said, yes, this money will eventually go back into circulation.

Speaker 4 (01:24:57):
And how does that happen?

Speaker 5 (01:24:59):
Like, how does money just go back into circulation? Where
does it go first? That's a good question, because what
do you just say, here, here, take it the store
over here, take it? What do you I mean, how
does it get circulated?

Speaker 3 (01:25:09):
They take it to a local bank?

Speaker 4 (01:25:12):
Okay, yeah, what do you And.

Speaker 1 (01:25:13):
Then what does it go back into circulation?

Speaker 4 (01:25:15):
I mean, or does it go into the treasury to
be like part of refunds or something. I don't know.
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:25:21):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (01:25:23):
That's a valid question.

Speaker 1 (01:25:24):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:25:24):
One.

Speaker 1 (01:25:25):
I was just blown away by the fact that this
officer came out and said, yeah, it just goes back
into circulation. I'm just waiting it because again, this is Miami.
This is Miami, so I have to assume that they're
just going to, you know, put the money back into

(01:25:46):
circulation somewhere in Miami. And let me tell you, they
love their cocanya down in Miami.

Speaker 3 (01:25:54):
Yeah, so if.

Speaker 1 (01:25:55):
Someone pulls out that five dollars bill to roll it up,
what I mean, I've heard the joke this cocaine smells funny.
But when you get down there and the cocaine actually
smells funny and you're trying to figure out where that's
coming from.

Speaker 4 (01:26:12):
Well, Doug said, the strange part is it was all
in quarters.

Speaker 1 (01:26:16):
That's a big old piggy banker. Shake it out there. Yeah,
keep jumping. And who's the officer that has to figure
out if all the quarters are out? Oh no, because
you know you gotta shake that thing out thoroughly. Oh god,
it's like trying to get your change out of the
pot machine.

Speaker 3 (01:26:36):
You get your do fingers.

Speaker 1 (01:26:37):
Reaching and grab everything out. Anyways, Yeah, I'm not going
to be picking up any cash in Miami for a
very long time. Now, let's see if we can learn
you something. Sit up and pay attention.

Speaker 3 (01:26:49):
Yeah, let's learn you.

Speaker 1 (01:26:50):
Some stuff on a Thursday morning. Make you a little
bit smarter than you were when he woke up today like,
did you know Elfred Hitchcock never won an Academy Award
for Best Director of all the things he's known for,
all the famous movies bringing us the horror genre and
really stepping up his game or the game of the
horror genre, never won an Academy Award. Did you know
the guy who assassinated President Garfield in eighteen eighty one

(01:27:12):
used a gun with an ivory handle because he thought
it would look good in a museum. He knew that
if he's gonna kill a president, is gonna make some
headlines and they're gonna be saving some stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:27:25):
Is it in a museum?

Speaker 1 (01:27:26):
No, it might have, but somehow he got lost and
it's not on display anywhere. No one knows where it is.
Did you know that reading gossip about a celebrity creates
a momentary feeling in your brain that's as good as
eating great food or winning money. We get a dopamine

(01:27:46):
hit off of reading about the misfortunes of other people
that are doing better than us, because you know, it's
like they've got everything.

Speaker 4 (01:27:53):
Oh, they're normal too, Yeah hah Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:27:58):
Did you know that the idea for the movie Interstellar
came from a producer named Linda Oapst and a physicist
named Kip Thorn. They actually met forty five years ago
when Carl Sagan set them up on a blind date.

Speaker 3 (01:28:13):
It didn't work out romantically.

Speaker 1 (01:28:14):
But they stayed friends and they kept in contact, and
they came up with this great story for the movie Interstellar.

Speaker 4 (01:28:18):
That's pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (01:28:19):
Yeah, And finally, did you know?

Speaker 1 (01:28:23):
Edwin Land's inspiration to create the Polaroid camera came in
nineteen forty three when his three year old daughter complained
about taking photographs that had to get developed because she
didn't want to wait. Isn't that a typical three year old?

Speaker 4 (01:28:40):
I want it? Yeah, right, a lot of wait.

Speaker 3 (01:28:42):
I want to see my figures now.

Speaker 1 (01:28:45):
So basically we got the Polaroid camera just because there
was a fed up dad out there that couldn't take
his three year old bitching anymore. And he was like, fine,
I'll create a camera that gives you pictures instantly, dead bitch, right,
learning you some stuff on a Thursday morning, ninet ninety
