Speaker 1 (00:01):
The inches we need are everywhere around us, because we
know when we add up all.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Those inches, that's going to make.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
The f * * * ing.

Speaker 4 (00:11):
Difference between winning and losing.

Speaker 5 (00:17):
It's the morning blitz.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
The country believes Ohio State is the number one team
yet again. It's football time!

Speaker 4 (00:30):
And tell them, tell them, tell them, we ain't never scared.

Speaker 6 (00:34):
We ain't never scared.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
You know, I'm tired of saying next year, next year,
next year.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
This is it.

Speaker 5 (00:39):
Hey, listen, the pressure's on, Joe Burrow.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Try, please.

Speaker 7 (00:42):
Hoot it!

Speaker 8 (00:46):
The Browns have officially named Deshaun Watson as their starter.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
In that same fan base, they cheered when I got hurt.

Speaker 5 (00:52):
Bitch!

Speaker 3 (00:53):
I gotta give more love on road games than I
do home games, so.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Hey, shut up.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
How about that?

Speaker 4 (00:57):
If I was a Browns fan, I'm not going to
the home game. No. You are a factory of sadness!
And welcome to Columbus, folks. The world famous Ohio State.
I was made for the bird of.

Speaker 5 (01:14):
Your morning blitz begins now with Goose, Kelly, and Thick Rick.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
It's in the game. On the blitz.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
We got a high of 94 today.

Speaker 9 (01:28):
Could see a shower or storm a little bit later.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
Welcome to your Thursday. How are you, Kelly?

Speaker 2 (01:36):
I'm great.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
How are you? All is well. It's, you know, wedding eve.
Ready to go.

Speaker 6 (01:45):
One more sleep.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
One more sleep.

Speaker 6 (01:47):
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
I don't know if we'll call it a sleep. We'll
see what happens.

Speaker 6 (01:51):
How have you been sleeping this week?

Speaker 5 (01:53):
Not bad.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
Yeah? Slept really well last night. Okay.

Speaker 9 (01:56):
After I finally got to sleep, I ended up crawling
into bed, laying there, and I had three.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
Sneezes, and then my nose was in overdrive for like
an hour. Oh, shoot. And then I was like, are
you kidding me? Come on.

Speaker 7 (02:08):
Cattle and that.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
Yeah. So, finally, took some Sudafed, dozed off.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
I just.

Speaker 9 (02:15):
I don't necessarily think I need an allergy test. I
just need allergy medicine every single day.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Yeah. And it's just, I don't want to do it.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
The first step is admitting you have a problem. And
then you can kind of start to deal with it.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
Yeah, I've done that.

Speaker 8 (02:30):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
I've done that.

Speaker 9 (02:31):
I did that a few months ago. Like, yeah, this
is for real. This isn't like I just got it. No,
I got some allergies going on. And now I need to.
But to get into a new routine of remembering, because
I'm a goldfish right off the.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
Bat, no matter what.

Speaker 9 (02:45):
So I just got to put the bottle out by
like the toothbrush or something.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
Be ready to go.

Speaker 6 (02:50):
Thick, you set out all the stuff.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
You come in here and set everything up before anybody
even gets through the back door.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:57):
Well, maybe we'll just give you a bottle of.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Tech to set out.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Have your pill sitting there for you.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
Give me a little weekly pill bottle. Put the pill
in each day. Put it in front of my workstation.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Here so I know to take it.

Speaker 6 (03:08):
And a sign.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Goose, take this. Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 9 (03:13):
I will say, speaking of it being wedding eve and everything,
we'll talk about it. I want you to think about this.
Did you ever kind of go off on the wrong person?
Like something didn't go right. You were a little upset
about it. And you made your feelings felt. But you
didn't make your feelings felt to the right person. Because

(03:34):
that happened yesterday. Nora had an experience. And I then
stepped in. And was like, nope, this ain't going to work.
And so I handled it. And I was a little
miffed at the whole situation.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
And I kind of. Let this person know. And he
was like, whoa, whoa, whoa. I wasn't the one who.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Oh, you did it.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
Yeah. Yeah, I did it. So I'm going to tell
you the story.

Speaker 9 (04:00):
He coming up here at about 645, 650 and tell
you what happened. And apologized to that person because they
ended up resolving the problem.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
And I'll let you know about the whole story.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
They need a citywide apology, it sounds like. You're going
to do it live on the air.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
Yeah. Yeah. I wasn't a bad person at all. I
didn't do anything really wrong.

Speaker 6 (04:20):
You just had a little energy toward the wrong person. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
Yeah, I directed the energy at the wrong person.

Speaker 9 (04:25):
It was the right person because they were the ones
who could solve the problem. But it wasn't the person
who did the wronging.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
Does that make sense?

Speaker 6 (04:33):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
We'll get into that.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
It happens. That's the worst, but it happens.

Speaker 9 (04:37):
We've also got Buckeye Hall of Fame legend Jeff Logan
joining us on 740.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
As it is kickoff week.

Speaker 9 (04:43):
We're going to visit FML, one of our favorite websites,
and we're going to bust out the mythical coin of destiny. Yeah,
we're going to find out about my nuptials and see
what the mythical coin of destiny has to say.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
So the questions are going to be about your future.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
Yeah, a little bit. Okay.

Speaker 9 (05:00):
Yeah, we'll obviously take calls, as we do always. But, yeah,
I've got a couple questions for the Mythical Corner.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
I'm sure Kelly and I can come up with a couple.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
Please do. Absolutely. Thank you all as well on your end.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Oh, my gosh, man. I'm ready.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
Yeah, me too.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
I am so ready for what's about to go down.

Speaker 8 (05:16):
You know, football and wings at your favorite sports bar.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
And, of course, the wedding.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
Yeah, that too.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
You know, that's 15 minutes.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
That's Trishiri. Is that the word? Tertiary. Tertiary, there it is. Tertiary, yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
And you said there won't be TV.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Lots of TV.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
At the wedding.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Okay, good. There's some good games tomorrow. Miami's playing.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
Tennessee's playing.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Oklahoma's playing. I'm like, yeah, this is going to be great.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
Wedding? Football? Yeah, it's going to be, like I said,
I might be joining you at the barstool for a
little bit.

Speaker 8 (05:45):
It's funny, Kelly, you know, he constantly talks about dry rub,
lemon pepper wings. And he kept saying, you know, you've
got to come to my favorite sports bar in Michigan
to watch the Buckeye game Saturday and have these wings.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
But they're not their lemon pepper wings.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
No.

Speaker 8 (05:58):
It's this special sauce only exclusive to this place.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
Yeah, it's called their house wings. Okay. That's what they do.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
It's the greatest wing you ever ate.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
It's my favorite wing.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
All right.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
My favorite wing.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Looking forward to it.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
Can't wait.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Wing comes in, bone comes out.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
Yes. Don't talk about my Friday nights. Let's get going.
This morning should be a thing.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
All right.

Speaker 8 (06:22):
$ 25 up for grabs to the first person who, $ 25
to waterbeds and stuff, rather, to the first person to
text in the correct answer. A new movie is in
development that is based on the story of this sports
bar restaurant chain. It's going to be a movie all
about the creation of this sports bar.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Tell us what the sports bar is. First one to
text that in at 800-821-9970 wins the gift card.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
All right, let's get that answer for Blitz Morning Trivia thick.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
All right.

Speaker 8 (06:50):
The question was, a new movie is in development that
is based on the story of what sports bar restaurant chain?

Speaker 2 (06:57):
And that would be Hooters.

Speaker 9 (06:59):
I saw this a couple days ago. And from the description,
it sounds pretty, what could be pretty funny.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
Yeah, it sounds like it's like a comedy, man. But
it's called Hooters the Movie.

Speaker 8 (07:09):
It's going to follow the two guys, Ted and Lenny,
two small town Iowa friends who, accidentally build a national
restaurant empire while facing pressure from the federal government. The
first Hooters opened down in the Tampa Clearwater area in
Florida in 1983.

Speaker 9 (07:24):
I have a buddy out in Colorado, and he's such
a Hooters fan, and it's been known for a long
time he was such a Hooters fan. He just accomplished
a life goal, and he flew out to Florida and
went to.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
Hooters number one. The original Hooters. He was so excited
to be at the original.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
The first time I ever heard of Hooters was when
I moved to Myrtle Beach.

Speaker 8 (07:43):
For a year in the early 90s, and they had
some of the girls at a promotion for the radio station.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
I'm like, what is this?

Speaker 9 (07:50):
Yeah, I've judged a couple of Hooters' swimsuit competitions.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
Good times.

Speaker 8 (07:57):
Amanda Norman from Blacklick, first one to text in the
correct answer. She got the 25 bucks to waterbeds and stuff.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
So we're entering the burr months. A lot of... All
the burrs at the end of the year.

Speaker 9 (08:10):
And someone jumped online and was like, you know, it's
kind of dumb that months are different lengths. You know,
you use your knuckles and the knuckle ups are 31s
and the knuckle downs are 30s. And then they got
the weird 28. And then it's all kinds of messed up.
And so someone jumped online and said, we should just

(08:33):
make it all even. So why don't we do five
equal months of 73 days each?

Speaker 6 (08:40):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (08:43):
So we would end up with January, April, August, October,
and December.

Speaker 6 (08:52):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
And that way, you just don't have.

Speaker 9 (08:56):
To worry about this 30, 31, 28, 30, 31, 31, 30, 31, 31, 30.

Speaker 8 (09:02):
You're still going to have to make 174 days every
four years.

Speaker 6 (09:05):
You're going to have to do an adjustment, but still.

Speaker 9 (09:07):
Well, and they said, when that comes, every four years,
we just have this zero day.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Zero.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
And everything resets. No one works. Everyone parties. You just
do whatever you want.

Speaker 6 (09:20):
I love it.

Speaker 9 (09:21):
And it's just a zero day. And then we start
over with January again.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
A global holiday.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
Zero. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
A global holiday.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
Yeah, absolutely. Now, granted, you know.

Speaker 8 (09:32):
Can we make that the Monday after the Super Bowl?

Speaker 4 (09:34):
That'd be nice.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
February, why not?

Speaker 6 (09:36):
Could it be like a purge? Zero day.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
I just want to take some people out.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
A little inside rage building up already.

Speaker 6 (09:45):
Early on Thursday morning.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
I love you, Kelly.

Speaker 6 (09:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (09:50):
Some people did have some questions. They said, wait a minute,
how about 13 months and 28 days each, which I
have heard before. Again, that's 364, and then New Year's
Day would be like zero days.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
Restart again.

Speaker 9 (10:00):
Someone said, I prefer the Egyptian method, 12 even months
of 30 days, and then a five or six day
holiday festival.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
So they kind of do a week-long festival.

Speaker 9 (10:12):
Someone said, living through a 73-day joggist would finish people. Yeah,
if it was like the August that we had between
the rain and the heat, if it was 73 days
of that, I think people would start to lose their mind.
Because there's something about the end of a week or

(10:33):
the end of a month, kind of a mental reset.
And if you're 51 days in and you know you
still have another 22 days to go or whatever.

Speaker 4 (10:43):
You're going to be like, oh, I don't know if
I can do this. Uh, someone says Socktober, I'm in.
Wake me up when Socktober ends.

Speaker 6 (10:53):
We could just do, instead of... We could just call
it the seasons. We're in summer, and that means... Oh.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
What do we name the fifth season?

Speaker 6 (11:04):
And that way you don't have to adjust for anything.

Speaker 4 (11:06):
Right.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
Because when you're in winter, then you do have how
many days you need for winter.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
Well, because.

Speaker 9 (11:14):
But the interesting part was we know when the solstice is,
but the September solstice on the 21st or 22nd is
still going to be 70 or 80 degrees most likely.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
And then you've got the winter one.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
I mean, we have the dates that the actual seasons change.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
So you just start.

Speaker 6 (11:35):
So you just start it there.

Speaker 10 (11:36):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
All right.

Speaker 8 (11:38):
Right.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
But we're going to have a.

Speaker 9 (11:39):
So is it evenly divided by four instead of five?
Or do we, like you said, do we come up?
Because there is that weird, like autumn in the Midwest
is three, four days long. You're going from summer to
winter like that. So just what would be?

Speaker 2 (11:58):
No, I mean, okay.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
It's already set for us. We know when fall starts
and we know when fall ends. Those dates are set.
So then we just take that chunk of time. And
that is what fall is.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
That's what fall is. Forever. Forever.

Speaker 7 (12:14):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (12:14):
And you don't need to name the months. But then
how are we going to know when?

Speaker 4 (12:18):
When's your birthday?

Speaker 6 (12:20):
Right. It's summer.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Fall 36?

Speaker 4 (12:22):
Yes. Like the 36th day of the fall.

Speaker 8 (12:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (12:27):
So yeah. I was born. I was born summer 19th.
And then when's the year though? That's another problem.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
It could still be the same year.

Speaker 6 (12:36):
Wait, summer 19th.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
Summer 19th. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (12:38):
The 19th day of summer.

Speaker 9 (12:39):
I wasn't born August 19th. I was born summer 19th.
Because we're just doing seasons.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
We're not doing.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
I know, but summer starts in June, right?

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Right, but you get the heart of what he's saying.
It's like summer does start in June.

Speaker 6 (12:51):
So like.

Speaker 4 (12:51):
June 22nd is summer one.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
And your actual birthday is August 19th.

Speaker 6 (12:56):
Yeah, so you count.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
Up to.

Speaker 6 (12:58):
August 19th, it'll be summer.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
Summer 23rd.

Speaker 6 (13:01):
Yeah, summer 51.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Yeah, that's what I was trying to get to.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
Yes. That's why I said fall 36th, because it's the
36th day of the fall. Yes. So then I said
summer 20th, 20th day of the summer.

Speaker 10 (13:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
What are we confused on?

Speaker 11 (13:18):
I thought you were doing your birthday. No, my birthday
is March 21st. I'm spring one. I'm literally on the
birthday of spring. I'm not naming my birthday, actually.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
That was confusing in my head, too. I'm like, why
is his birthday not August 19th?

Speaker 4 (13:34):
He's coming up with a scenario.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
Gotcha.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
No.

Speaker 9 (13:40):
Anyways, I doubt this will ever happen, but it's out there,
and I will let you know 400,000 people liked and
commented on this whole thing. 400,000? Yeah, saying, I don't
mind this one bit. We could even things out. It
would make things less confusing. So don't hold your breath,

(14:03):
but we'll see what happens.

Speaker 10 (14:04):
Not so breaking news. The news already broke. We're trying
to put it back together.

Speaker 9 (14:11):
Our first story takes us up to Wisconsin where 39-year-old
Thomas Barrett is in a bit of trouble because apparently Thomas.
You know, was sitting at home with his two young children,
and I don't know if he was bored, if he
ran out of supplies, or if he was just feeling

(14:32):
a bit randy. But he decided to leave his two
young children at home and head out to a local bar,
which was closed, by the way.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
Okay.

Speaker 9 (14:43):
But decided, eh, Jackson's Blue Ribbon Pub is only closed
for other people, not for me.

Speaker 4 (14:50):
Okay.

Speaker 9 (14:50):
Worked his way through a window and was caught on
surveillance camera in the act of robbing the place.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
Here's the thing.

Speaker 9 (15:01):
He didn't get very far with his six-pack of White
Claws and bottle of Tito's vodka because police officers found
him a block away asleep in the bushes.

Speaker 6 (15:11):
Okay.

Speaker 9 (15:12):
Still cuddling the six-pack of White Claws and the Tito's vodka.
He was then taken in and processed.

Speaker 5 (15:20):
His.

Speaker 9 (15:21):
Mugshot is a thing of beauty as you can tell
that he was kind of probably in for the night.
I'm assuming now that he ran out of supplies because
he was in his very plush, comfortable Green Bay Packers.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
Robe and boxer shorts. And that was it. Asleep behind
the bushes.

Speaker 9 (15:44):
He is going to be charged with burglary and two
counts of neglecting a child because, yeah, you can't leave
your young children at home to go rob a bar.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
You idiot.

Speaker 4 (15:54):
Pretty much.

Speaker 9 (15:55):
Story number two takes us to Arizona, to Napa, Arizona,
where an Arizona school district has just canceled the entire
football season at the high school of West Valley. Both
the varsity and the junior varsity teams will not be
playing football this season. Because apparently the Saddle Mountain Unified

(16:17):
School District Superintendent has come out with a report that
during August camps, something went down. They're not saying exactly what.
All they're saying, it was it seems like a hazing
situation that involved a lot of dry humping.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
Oh.

Speaker 7 (16:34):
Oh, boy.

Speaker 4 (16:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (16:36):
Again.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
Again.

Speaker 9 (16:37):
Reports aren't naming names or anything, but there was a
lot of dry humping at camp. And it's not the
dry humping that usually happens at camp, because I remember
going to camp for many, many years, and there.

Speaker 4 (16:49):
Was a lot of dry humping involved.

Speaker 9 (16:52):
But that was between, you know, 13 and 14-year-olds who
were experimenting and doing their things, and it was consensual.
It wasn't a hazing event where boys are dry humping
other boys to embarrass them and haze them during football practice.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
Come on, squeal.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
Squeal.

Speaker 4 (17:12):
Oh, my.

Speaker 9 (17:14):
So, unfortunately, these high school students will not be playing
football this season, and they're going to look into kind.

Speaker 4 (17:22):
Of, you know, teenage boys, sports.

Speaker 9 (17:26):
You're going to do a little bit of hazing. You know,
when you show up as a rookie in the NFL,
you are warned right away.

Speaker 4 (17:35):
Get ready for rookie dinner.

Speaker 9 (17:37):
Because you have to take out your teammates with your
new contract money, and you get stuck with the bill,
which we've seen online can reach six figures for one dinner.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
But high school boys and hazing and dry... What's.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
Fun about hazing? I don't understand punishing people for being new.

Speaker 6 (18:01):
I don't get it.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
Yeah, it's... One of those things.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
It's just one of those things.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
It's always been a thing.

Speaker 4 (18:07):
What's the word? It's an initiation.

Speaker 1 (18:09):
It's something we could get rid of and everybody would
be cool with.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
They've been trying.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
I mean, you know, hazing is like against the rules
pretty much everywhere.

Speaker 4 (18:18):
Yes.

Speaker 8 (18:18):
That's why in the NFL, they don't tape your body
to the pole in the locker room.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
You've got to take everybody out the den.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
That is right.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
Exactly.

Speaker 9 (18:27):
I don't mind an initiation, but it can't hurt or
harm someone.

Speaker 4 (18:34):
Right. physically or emotionally. That's wrong. You can't do that.

Speaker 6 (18:39):
It's going to harm my wallet if I have to
take everyone out to dinner.

Speaker 4 (18:42):
That is true, too. Yes.

Speaker 9 (18:44):
So they are looking into some changes, and I have
a feeling that, yeah, a lesson will be learned here.

Speaker 4 (18:51):
That's your Not So Breaking News.

Speaker 9 (18:52):
99.7 The Blitz. 800-821-9970 is the phone number. I want
to know, did you ever go off on the wrong person?
Something went wrong. you wanted the problem fixed, so you
brought it up to the manager, the owner, the person
you thought that, you know, wronged you in.

Speaker 4 (19:14):
A way, and then.

Speaker 9 (19:16):
After you do all your blah, blah, blah, and they're like, whoa,
that wasn't me.

Speaker 4 (19:21):
You went off, what's happening right now? Because I had
this happen yesterday.

Speaker 9 (19:25):
As we are in final prep for the wedding tomorrow,
leaving after the show, we were getting all the final
things done, and One thing that Nora wanted done was
a moment of relaxation and pretty toes. So she went
and got a pedicure yesterday to just rest and relax.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
No problem. She sends me a video.

Speaker 9 (19:50):
Of the procedure happening and she's like, oh my God,
you're not going to believe this. And then I'm on
the couch and she comes home and she's visibly.

Speaker 4 (20:03):
Not thrilled.

Speaker 9 (20:04):
And I go, what's wrong? She goes, that was just
the worst experience of my life. She goes, you're supposed
to go in, get a pedicure, and relax, and just chill.
She goes, there was no relaxing. First and foremost, she
sits down, and the gentleman with whatever tool nicks her toe.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
Bitch! I guess happens.

Speaker 9 (20:26):
I guess when you go, sometimes they use the whatever,
and you can get nicked.

Speaker 4 (20:31):
Okay, not a problem. But then.

Speaker 9 (20:35):
Come to find out, the air conditioning was broken in
this particular place.

Speaker 4 (20:39):
And it was warm in there. But in the video,
you can see it. This guy leaning over her foot
is dripping sweat.

Speaker 8 (20:49):
Oh, gross.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
Oh, she got war treatment.

Speaker 4 (20:51):
Oh, yes. All over her.

Speaker 9 (20:53):
Including what looks like right in the wound that he
just caused.

Speaker 6 (20:58):
Oh, no. Oh, God.

Speaker 9 (21:01):
She's explaining this to me and getting a little upset.
And I go, that's unacceptable. So she went to speak
to someone at the front desk and kind of mentioned
it and was basically shooed out the door. Like, this
person was like, yeah, it's hot in here. Sorry, you know,
you came in.

Speaker 4 (21:23):
It was hot. Okay, well, one, maybe put a sign
on the door. Sorry for the inconvenience. Our air conditioning
unit's broken. And two, don't put the most.

Speaker 9 (21:35):
heavily perspiring man hanging over a foot. Not to mention
a foot that you just cut with an open wound
on it now. And I'm like, no, no, no. And
pedicures aren't cheap either. And she didn't want me to
do anything. Because she was very proud of herself for
saying something to the manager.

Speaker 6 (21:56):
Yeah, it takes guts to open your mouth.

Speaker 4 (21:59):
But then to be shooed out the door.
Uh-uh.

Speaker 7 (22:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (22:03):
And I was already, both of us are already, you know,
kind of at our peak. We're ready for this thing
to be done and over with.

Speaker 4 (22:10):
And, you know, and I said, uh-uh. I said, I'll
be right back.

Speaker 9 (22:14):
And I jumped in my car and I drove to
this location and I walked in. And, okay, I will
admit this was not the right thing to do. But
I was already on edge. And on my phone, I
opened up the old internet browser. And I pulled up
a particular website. And that website was theblitz.com. And I

(22:39):
walked in.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
And I said, hi, are you the manager?

Speaker 9 (22:41):
And this young man, 18, 19 maybe, was like, well,
not really.

Speaker 4 (22:48):
Can I help you? And I was like, yeah, I
just need to speak to the manager. He goes, I
can get him. And I was like, okay. And he
pulls out his phone. And he's like, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
And he walks away. And he comes back. He goes,
what is this pertaining? I said, I'll tell you what
this is pertaining. Do you see this website? Do you
see that face right there? Hey, take a look. And
I hold the phone up to my face. And I
was like, yeah, that's me. And I was like, I'm

(23:10):
going to let you know something right now.

Speaker 9 (23:12):
We can solve this problem, or everyone in Columbus is
going to know exactly who you are, what this business is,
and what you did.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
You full-on played the card.

Speaker 4 (23:20):
I did. I feel terrible. I shouldn't have done that.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
It was wrong.

Speaker 4 (23:23):
I get it, though.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
Sometimes.

Speaker 4 (23:25):
I have never done that.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
Sometimes, though. I get it.

Speaker 4 (23:28):
I have never, ever done that. But I was fed up.

Speaker 6 (23:31):
It was on behalf of Nora. It wasn't on behalf
of you.

Speaker 9 (23:34):
Yes, especially that you shooed my soon-to-be wife out the door.

Speaker 8 (23:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (23:38):
Uh-uh.

Speaker 9 (23:39):
And I explained what happened, and the guy on the
phone cut me off. And he was like, whoa, whoa, whoa, wait, wait, wait.

Speaker 4 (23:45):
He goes, I don't care who you are. He goes,
I would treat everyone the same. He goes, tell me
what happened. I'm so sorry.

Speaker 6 (23:53):
I would treat everyone the same. Get the hell out
of here.

Speaker 3 (23:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (23:56):
Right.

Speaker 4 (23:56):
And so I explained the whole thing. And he said
that it's completely unacceptable. And no, no.

Speaker 9 (24:01):
He goes, I'll give the phone back to the young kid.
And as I was giving the phone back, I noticed
it said dad on his phone. So this young kid
I was speaking to was the son.

Speaker 4 (24:10):
Family business. Yeah, it was the son of the owner.

Speaker 5 (24:12):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (24:13):
And he goes, no, no, no. He goes, it's fine.
I'll look it up. And he looked it up.

Speaker 9 (24:18):
And she paid cash. He goes, what's the last four digits?
I can refund the money. And I was like, what's
the last four digits? He goes, no, I paid cash.
And he handed me the cash back. And he was like,
I'm so sorry. He goes, can I send you the
video of what happened?

Speaker 4 (24:33):
He goes, yes, please. So I text him and I
sent him the video. And he texts me back and said,
I'm so sorry. That is unacceptable.

Speaker 9 (24:39):
He goes, your fiance will never have this technician again.
And then I found out who it was. And the
person that shoot her out the door was still there.

Speaker 10 (24:47):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (24:48):
It was the Karen of the business that was working
the front desk that shooed Nora out the door.

Speaker 9 (24:55):
So I text the guy and I apologize and I
thanked him for handling the issue.

Speaker 4 (24:58):
But man, I was livid.

Speaker 9 (25:02):
And I felt kind of bad that I went off
on the owner and it wasn't the person that shooed.

Speaker 4 (25:06):
Nora out the door.

Speaker 6 (25:07):
Yeah, but he is ultimately responsible.

Speaker 4 (25:09):
He is.

Speaker 6 (25:10):
For his employees.

Speaker 4 (25:10):
He is. And here's the thing. When Nora spoke to
the manager... She said, yeah, it's hot. We're all sweating.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
It's warm.

Speaker 9 (25:19):
We'll move him away from the front because I guess
he was kind of working towards the front. But when
I got there, this guy was even further front of
the store.

Speaker 4 (25:27):
He was all the way up front working on someone else.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
Could you see him like sweating profusely when you got there?

Speaker 4 (25:32):
Yes.

Speaker 9 (25:33):
And I think he knows it was him because as
I was talking to the owner, he kept looking over
and I kept making eye contact with him.

Speaker 4 (25:38):
I'm like, yeah, you buddy, you're the one I'm talking about.
But yeah, the owner took care of it. I, I,
And then I left and I was like, all right,
maybe I went a little too hard on him.

Speaker 9 (25:47):
But you can't have people, if you run a business
like that, that's unsanitary.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
You can't have them sweating over a foot. I mean,
could you imagine, Kelly, your foot's out there?

Speaker 6 (25:58):
No, I mean, do you need to get tested? Like,
that's what I'm thinking.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
Like, what are you dripping into my open wound that
you just caused?

Speaker 4 (26:06):
The oil and stuff off your face as it works
its way down.

Speaker 9 (26:09):
That's like one of those things you see in a
movie in slow-mo.

Speaker 4 (26:13):
Yeah, with the trip. Yeah, and you just watch the trip.

Speaker 6 (26:16):
You hear it, and it lands.

Speaker 9 (26:18):
And then it just, right in the eye. And you
watch the little particles as it hits, like, splash out.

Speaker 3 (26:24):
Yeah. Oh.

Speaker 5 (26:26):
Oh, boy.

Speaker 9 (26:30):
So I apologize to you, sir, for coming at you
with the, do you know who I am?

Speaker 4 (26:34):
I shouldn't have done that. That was wrong.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
Did you ever talk to the Karen?

Speaker 4 (26:39):
No, but she was standing right there the whole time.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
Oh, she heard it all.

Speaker 4 (26:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (26:42):
Because I didn't know it was her. Uh-huh.

Speaker 9 (26:44):
Because, again, when Nora came home, she spoke with the manager.
When I walked in, I asked for the manager, but
I ended up on the phone with the owner.

Speaker 6 (26:50):
The owner.

Speaker 4 (26:50):
Not knowing.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
And I bet she didn't say a word.

Speaker 4 (26:53):
Nope. Nope, she didn't.

Speaker 3 (26:55):
Not a word.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
She didn't. Nope. So, anyways, I apologize.

Speaker 6 (27:00):
I do love how you... You stepped up for Nora.
I love that because it is difficult. I mean, I
feel the same way she does. It's really hard to
say something.

Speaker 1 (27:09):
You usually just suck it up if something goes sideways
when you should probably mention it.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
Yep.

Speaker 6 (27:15):
So going, taking that step and mentioning it is hard.

Speaker 4 (27:19):
And then being shooed out.

Speaker 6 (27:20):
And then being shooed out. That is that.

Speaker 3 (27:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (27:22):
I can see why that would enrage you.

Speaker 4 (27:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (27:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
I'm not standing for that.

Speaker 3 (27:27):
No.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
Timothy said it's an OSHA violation.

Speaker 4 (27:30):
I would think so, too.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
Yeah, I mean, you dropped your salty sweat in a
cut that you made.

Speaker 9 (27:35):
That has rolled off your face and collected germs. Yeah,
you don't know what's going to happen. See, damn it,
now I'm going to have an eight-toed wife. It's going
to get gangrenous. They're going to have to cut it off.

Speaker 6 (27:48):
Wait, does she only have nine toes right now?

Speaker 4 (27:50):
No, she's going to lose two. The infection's going to
go from one to the next. It's going to cost
her two toes.

Speaker 6 (27:55):
Okay, that thing's going to spread like wildfire.

Speaker 8 (27:58):
Eric says chivalry is not dead.

Speaker 6 (28:00):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 4 (28:05):
There's going to be no piggy going to the store.
It's going to be straight to the wee, wee, wee
piggy because there's going to be nothing there.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 8 (28:13):
Amy says Nora needs to be careful that the wound
doesn't get infected, especially since the wedding's tomorrow. Pedicures notoriously
get infections without wounds.

Speaker 6 (28:21):
Oh, gosh.

Speaker 8 (28:21):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (28:22):
I hope she's not listening. You're fine, Nora.

Speaker 4 (28:24):
You know what?

Speaker 9 (28:25):
Actually, take them all. That way I can buy her
smaller shoe sizes and save some money. She'll go from
an eight to a six real quick, and I can
save some money.

Speaker 6 (28:36):
Leave it to Goose to turn a bad situation into
a good one.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
Always thinking about her.

Speaker 5 (28:41):
And now, the three things you need to know before
you go.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Apparently, some dude in a green Toyota 4Runner has been
driving around campus, particularly around sorority houses near 15th and Indianola,
doing weird wiener things. Columbus police say they are searching
for the man who has allegedly been committing the lewd
acts for about a week now.

Speaker 4 (29:02):
Wait, can we back up real quick? Do they give
any sort of more descriptors as to what weird wiener
things are?

Speaker 6 (29:09):
Trust me, I looked, I listened, I searched. All they
would say was it was gross.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
Is he doing puppetry of the penis?

Speaker 6 (29:17):
I think so.

Speaker 7 (29:18):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (29:18):
I think there's some, they call it lewd sexual acts.
I am assuming it's involving a.

Speaker 5 (29:29):
You seem to be somewhat obsessed with wieners.

Speaker 7 (29:31):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
I think this man is somewhat obsessed with his own wiener.
And it's driving around showing it off.

Speaker 4 (29:38):
That's exactly how I'm going to approach Nora on our
wedding night tomorrow. Hey, you want to do weird wiener things?

Speaker 6 (29:45):
It is our wedding night.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
Have you seen my wiener?

Speaker 6 (29:49):
All right. Moving on to a more serious story.

Speaker 4 (29:52):
You sure you don't want to stick on weird wiener things?

Speaker 6 (29:54):
I actually do. I wish I had more detail for you.

Speaker 4 (29:58):
I really want to stick with.

Speaker 6 (29:59):
Weird wiener things.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
I do.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
Feminist journalist and activist Gloria Steinem has died at the
age of 92. A post this morning on her official
Instagram account says Steinem died peacefully at her New York
City home surrounded by loved ones. She was a leader
of the women's movement starting in the 1950s and an
outspoken advocate for abortion rights.

Speaker 6 (30:16):
Steinem was a native of Toledo, Ohio and co-founded Ms. Magazine.
Gloria Steinem died at the age of 92.

Speaker 9 (30:22):
Did she like to do weird wiener things?

Speaker 6 (30:26):
I don't know about that.

Speaker 7 (30:28):
Maybe.

Speaker 6 (30:29):
Was she married? That's a good question.

Speaker 4 (30:31):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (30:32):
Yeah, I'm not sure. Women's lib, though, baby. Women's lib.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
Digital Dreams Entertainment Incorporated has officially announced a new downloadable
content pack for Mutant.

Speaker 6 (30:42):
Football League 2. It's called GWAR, Antarctica Scumdogs.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
The new DLC pack is launching next month for PlayStation 5,
steam and xbox series xs if you've never played mutant
football league here's the description football just got louder and
bloodier players are mutilated referees can be murdered cheating is
encouraged and sometimes the best defense is simply killing the
other team the company says the guar scum dogs are

(31:10):
the most physically destructive team in mfl2.

Speaker 4 (31:16):
They're going to look like the characters of GWAR, I'm assuming.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
Yes, and there's a whole new venue, a GWAR venue.
It's like a huge stadium with GWAR mythology all over.

Speaker 6 (31:27):
It's supposed to be pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (31:29):
Anyway, if you're a Mutant Football League player, I'd never
heard of the game. Sounds pretty fun though, doesn't it?

Speaker 4 (31:34):
I've seen it before.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
I've never played it.

Speaker 9 (31:37):
I'm assuming it's kind of like NFL Blitz, you know,
where it's over the top and then obviously you can
murder referees and But then you got, yeah, the characters
are all like weird mutants.

Speaker 5 (31:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (31:48):
I'll check it out.

Speaker 6 (31:49):
Those are your three things.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
All right.

Speaker 5 (31:51):
The morning blitz.

Speaker 3 (31:56):
What is weird?

Speaker 10 (31:56):
Weird?

Speaker 4 (31:56):
Weird.

Speaker 5 (31:57):
Weird.

Speaker 4 (31:58):
Weird.

Speaker 5 (31:59):
And now, www. Weird Wide Web.

Speaker 9 (32:06):
It's my new favorite thing to jump online and search
out funny blog posts and stories from people.

Speaker 4 (32:13):
Man, people do some crazy stuff.

Speaker 9 (32:15):
Now, for all the animal lovers out there, I am
not justifying this man's experiment. I will only say this.
Stick with me through the whole story. This is the
story of retribution, okay? This guy said, My dad was
a skydiver back in the 60s and 70s. There was
a guy in his club that was a bit of

(32:35):
a nut, and he had an idea that he wanted
to test the axiom that cats... always land on their
feet from free fall altitude. So he decided he would
fall with them and observe their self-righting behavior. He had
no interest in aiding their descent and just wanted to
see how they behave in free fall. In his plan,

(32:57):
landing was the cat's problem.

Speaker 4 (32:58):
Not his.

Speaker 9 (33:00):
Scientific impartiality or something. He took four stray cats up
in a pillowcase for the jump. After exiting the plane,
he turned the pillowcase inside out, releasing the cats. To
his great surprise, all four cats attached themselves to his
body immediately with their claws. Given that cats have 18

(33:23):
claws each, he was now punctured at least 72 times. More, probably,
because he struggled vainly to remove the cats as he fell,
but they weren't having any of it.

Speaker 4 (33:33):
They would reattach... Every.

Speaker 9 (33:35):
Time with more conviction and effort, every time he tried
to pull them off. Presently, he was out of altitude
and had to turn his attention to opening the chute.
Let's pause for a moment and do some math. A
chute opening can generate as much as three Gs of force.
The average cat weighs eight pounds at one G. At

(33:59):
three Gs, that becomes 24 pounds of cat weight. So
when the chute opened for a moment, this guy had
72 razor-sharp claws in his skin, each one being pulled
down with the force of about one and third pounds each.
That's 96 pounds of cat. He was sliced to ribbons. Basically,

(34:21):
all four cats hung on through.

Speaker 4 (34:24):
The chute opening.

Speaker 9 (34:25):
Although the skydiver's shredded flesh allowed each one to slip
several inches down his skin.
Bleeding in misery, the skydiver managed to make a safe,
albeit rather rough landing in the farm field. As soon
as he hit the earth, all four cats ran off

(34:46):
across the field and scattered, leaving him there to lie
there bleeding from his hundred or so wounds. He was
the only member of the skydiving club that was disappointed
with the results of the experiment.

Speaker 4 (35:06):
That's what you get, sir. Yep.

Speaker 9 (35:09):
You cannot drop cats out of a plane with no parachute. Now,
I am very curious, though, because I've seen videos of
cats falling 20 stories out of an apartment building and
landing on their feet.

Speaker 10 (35:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (35:26):
So I'm just kind of curious as to what's the max?

Speaker 6 (35:30):
The maximum height?

Speaker 4 (35:31):
Yeah, what's the max? Look at that.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
Her poor little legs just snapped.

Speaker 6 (35:34):
It's definitely not 14,000 feet. I can tell you that.

Speaker 9 (35:37):
Well, I mean, at 20 stories, it's not enough for
a human to reach terminal velocity.

Speaker 4 (35:44):
But a cat?

Speaker 1 (35:45):
Yeah, but a human's going to die at 14 stories.
A human's going to die.

Speaker 4 (35:50):
Yeah, true. True. But the cat didn't, though. That's what
I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (35:53):
Yeah, that's wild.

Speaker 4 (35:55):
How much higher can a cat go?

Speaker 9 (35:57):
Because I've seen cats, and they kind of take that
skydiving form. They get their arms out to slow the descent.
So how far are they falling without being hurt? I'm
not going to conduct the experiment.

Speaker 4 (36:14):
I'm just wondering.

Speaker 6 (36:14):
Yeah, I think it's something we just have to leave unknown.

Speaker 9 (36:17):
And if you've never been full-blown... Scratched by a cat
with claws. Man, that's like the Chinese story of dying
by a thousand cuts.

Speaker 4 (36:28):
Right. That is.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
Also, it is an emergency room situation if you get
punctured by a cat claw.

Speaker 6 (36:33):
One puncture.

Speaker 4 (36:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (36:34):
Because of the bacteria that can get in deep.

Speaker 5 (36:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (36:37):
And those things.

Speaker 1 (36:38):
That's an emergency room visit to have this had to
be shredded up.

Speaker 6 (36:43):
I do hope for a little bit of an infection situation.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
I want the guy to live, but I need him
to have some time in the hospital for some self-reflection.

Speaker 4 (36:50):
Yeah. He needs to be laid up with some really
strong antibiotics.

Speaker 3 (36:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (36:53):
I'm there for it. Yeah.

Speaker 9 (36:57):
Rule number one, don't go skydiving with cats, okay? It's Thursday,
which means we've got to visit one of our favorite websites,
and that would be F my life, where people admit
things going wrong in their lives so you can feel
a little bit better about yours. Like this person who says,
today my family was watching a football game and kept

(37:17):
mentioning their team's quarterback's name. And I'm not a football
fan by any means. And I asked them who this was.
My grandma turned to me and said, that's why you
don't have a boyfriend.

Speaker 6 (37:31):
Grandma's pulling no punches.

Speaker 4 (37:35):
Take a little bit of interest. At least for your
home team. Just know a little something. So funny.

Speaker 9 (37:42):
This person says, today I picked up a seven-pound vacuum
stick and threw my back out.

Speaker 4 (37:48):
Oh, no. Seven pounds?

Speaker 6 (37:50):
Welcome to middle age.

Speaker 4 (37:51):
Yep, that is.

Speaker 9 (37:52):
You just never know that one little movement. I remember
it wasn't that long ago trying to get something in
my back seat, like I'm in the driver's seat. So
I did like the 180 turn of the arm to
then reach behind me and under the seat. And the
whole trapezoid lower neck area just locked up. And I

(38:15):
was like, just from reaching.

Speaker 10 (38:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (38:17):
It happens.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
I was in my 30s and I went to an
orthopedic surgeon because my knee was killing me. And he said,
it did an x-ray and told me I had arthritis.

Speaker 6 (38:29):
I go, no, I think you mean I have a
serious sports injury. I think that's what that is. I
think that's what that is.

Speaker 4 (38:34):
Not arthritis. Not arthritis at 30-something.

Speaker 10 (38:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (38:37):
This person says, Today, while out jogging, I was suddenly
hit with unbelievable gastric distress. I wasn't wearing brown pants
when I set out on the jog, but I sure
was when I made it back home.

Speaker 4 (38:52):
Have you seen the video?

Speaker 9 (38:53):
It's a viral video of a woman, and she's walking
into her garage and sitting down in her golf cart,
and she's cracking up hysterically trying to talk.

Speaker 4 (39:01):
She starts driving, and she's still laughing. She's like, I
have to go pick up.

Speaker 9 (39:04):
My friend down the street who just called me in
an emergency because they were out for their morning walk,
and they pooped themselves. And sure enough, they get up,
and she's trying to get in the golf cart, and
she's like, you got to sit in the back. She
made her sit all the way in the back of
the golf cart, made her sit on a towel.

Speaker 1 (39:20):
I've heard of that happening to two different pregnant women,
my sister and one of my friends. They were out
on a walk just to get a daily exercise, and
I think being.

Speaker 6 (39:29):
Pregnant really messes with your system.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
Oh, I'm sure.

Speaker 6 (39:32):
Oh, my gosh. And they were like, I'm in big trouble.

Speaker 2 (39:34):
I'm in big trouble.

Speaker 6 (39:35):
It's happening. It's happening.

Speaker 4 (39:36):
Oh, no, it happened.

Speaker 9 (39:41):
This person says, today my girlfriend told me she's a lesbian.
And that she could only stay with me because I
had a girly face and voice.

Speaker 4 (39:47):
She also admitted to having a crush on my sister.

Speaker 2 (39:49):
Okay.

Speaker 8 (39:50):
Man.

Speaker 4 (39:51):
That's such a way.

Speaker 6 (39:52):
You're going to have to untangle yourself in some way.

Speaker 4 (39:54):
Yeah, that's a whole lot of ones.

Speaker 2 (39:55):
You had a bad day.

Speaker 9 (39:58):
This person says, today my boyfriend told me he had
once been possessed by demons and that he now sleeps
with a knife under his pillow for protection from the
dark spirits that are festing upon his soul. I'm not
sure I'll be sleeping out over there anytime soon.

Speaker 4 (40:14):
I wouldn't either.

Speaker 9 (40:15):
I think that's a significant reason to kind of move on.
I'm not sleeping with someone who has a knife under
their pillow and also believes they have dark spirits that
are infesting upon his soul.

Speaker 5 (40:28):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 9 (40:29):
This person says, today my grandpa decided to charcoal grill
some steaks inside the house.

Speaker 10 (40:35):
Uh-oh.

Speaker 4 (40:37):
Can't do that.

Speaker 2 (40:39):
Actually, you can.

Speaker 8 (40:43):
Place we used to live Our fireplace, the one downstairs
in the family room, had a grill in it.

Speaker 4 (40:50):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (40:51):
And, you know, you just open the chimney.

Speaker 4 (40:53):
Specifically meant for that.

Speaker 8 (40:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (40:55):
Not to pull your charcoal grill into the kitchen and
charcoal steaks.

Speaker 6 (40:58):
Well, actually.

Speaker 2 (41:01):
And finally. I miss that so much.

Speaker 9 (41:04):
This person says, today I got excited over a canceled
booty call. Just so I wouldn't have to clean the apartment.
I'm going to say this person is 40 or over.

Speaker 10 (41:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (41:18):
Certain things outrank a vehicle.

Speaker 6 (41:21):
Yes, exactly.

Speaker 9 (41:22):
You're like, you know, sex is nice and all, but
I don't want to put in the effort to clean
the apartment right now.

Speaker 6 (41:28):
I haven't showered yet today, and I really don't feel
like it.

Speaker 4 (41:31):
I'm not wiping down things and dusting.

Speaker 6 (41:34):
No.

Speaker 4 (41:35):
Rearranging the pillows.

Speaker 2 (41:36):
Not happening. Putting on clean sheets.

Speaker 9 (41:39):
I'll just take care of business myself and go to sleep.
Sometimes it's just a better way to go. If you
want to kill some time at work, visit fmylife.com today.

Speaker 4 (41:48):
Make sure they understand they're playing somebody different tonight.

Speaker 5 (41:51):
They're playing the Buckeyes.

Speaker 4 (41:53):
They're playing the Ohio State Buckeyes. And now it's football
Friday with Buckeye Hall of Fame legend Jeff Logan on
the morning blitz. It is time. Well, 48. I'm sorry.
52 hours and 22 minutes, 21 minutes and 17 seconds

(42:17):
to be exact.

Speaker 3 (42:18):
It's time.

Speaker 5 (42:19):
It is time.

Speaker 3 (42:20):
It's time.

Speaker 4 (42:21):
Jeff Logan, how are you, sir?

Speaker 3 (42:22):
Hey, great to see you guys.

Speaker 4 (42:24):
You too, man.

Speaker 6 (42:25):
It's been a second.

Speaker 3 (42:26):
It has been a second.

Speaker 6 (42:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (42:27):
But it seems like it just, how are we there
already kind of a feeling, right? You know, week zero
was last week. Ohio State did not start, obviously, week zero.
So here we go, week one against Ball State. Ball State.

Speaker 6 (42:44):
The Ball State beat mix.

Speaker 3 (42:46):
Is that it? That's good enough. Okay. That's good enough.
You know who's the most famous graduate of Ball State?

Speaker 4 (42:55):
Who's that?

Speaker 6 (42:56):
Archie Griffin.

Speaker 3 (42:57):
No.

Speaker 6 (42:57):
Okay, I don't know. You said famous.

Speaker 3 (42:59):
You realize Archie Griffin's grandson is playing for Ball State?

Speaker 7 (43:03):
Oh, no.

Speaker 4 (43:04):
Oh, really?

Speaker 6 (43:04):
Really?

Speaker 3 (43:05):
He was a transfer out of Ohio State to.

Speaker 6 (43:07):
That's so weird.

Speaker 3 (43:08):
Yeah, I know.

Speaker 4 (43:09):
So weird.

Speaker 3 (43:10):
David Letterman.

Speaker 2 (43:12):
Hey, that's right.

Speaker 3 (43:13):
Ball State. Ball State, yes. Yeah, I would think he's
the most famous guy. But, yeah, you know, Ohio State
ranked number one preseason. This has become a thing. And
if you look over the last, you know, take the
Trestle era into the Urban Meyer era, into the Ryan

(43:37):
Day period that we're in now, It's become fairly common
for us to be in that top five or top ten.

Speaker 2 (43:44):
I like it.

Speaker 3 (43:45):
Almost every year.

Speaker 4 (43:47):
Okay, I agree with you there, but let me ask
you a question.

Speaker 9 (43:49):
There's no bias coming from a guy with something on
his shirt and two tattoos on his forearm.

Speaker 4 (43:55):
And I know it's preseason, so it doesn't matter. But,
number one.

Speaker 3 (44:01):
Who else?

Speaker 2 (44:01):
I guess my question is, who else? Yeah, who do
you put number one? I don't know that.

Speaker 3 (44:06):
Ohio State deserves to be the number one because you
lost eight guys on the defense.

Speaker 4 (44:11):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (44:12):
You're bringing back the number one best player in college
football at the wide receiver position. You've got a Heisman
finalist at your quarterback spot, so his second year. So offensively,
I think there's every reason to believe they're going to
be as good as anybody from an offensive standpoint. But
the question still is, how do you replace what you

(44:32):
sent to the NFL out of that defense?

Speaker 2 (44:36):
We ask this every year.

Speaker 3 (44:37):
But I guess, Goose, my question would be, who else? And,
you know, there's a handful.

Speaker 4 (44:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (44:43):
You know, there's Texas, there's Georgia, there's Miami.

Speaker 4 (44:47):
Oregon. Oregon.

Speaker 3 (44:48):
You know, to me... looking at it preseason-wise, I thought
Oregon would be the number one team in the country,
to be perfectly honest with you.

Speaker 4 (44:56):
I thought that's where they'd go.

Speaker 3 (44:57):
Because of Dante Moore coming back at the quarterback spot,
and they've got a lot of guys returning on their
defensive side. And we haven't even talked about Indiana, who
is the defending national champion.

Speaker 2 (45:09):
So unknown, though.

Speaker 3 (45:11):
But what's known about them is they return their entire
core team. trenches the offensive and defensive lines and how
much of football is really earned yeah by doing that
controlling the line of scrimmage they got a new quarterback
uh they've gone to the portal like everybody else uh
it just guys college football right it's not college football

(45:35):
anymore yes it's not it's it's become a different breed
all together.

Speaker 4 (45:41):
Well, and speaking of that, some changes that have happened.

Speaker 9 (45:43):
Let's talk about this because I know we have a
clip here about the new thing of players going to
the draft and then not being drafted and then saying, well,
I guess I'll.

Speaker 4 (45:53):
Just go back.

Speaker 9 (45:54):
Or getting caught and saying, I'll just go back to
college and finish out the degree or get playing time
or whatever the case may be.

Speaker 3 (46:00):
Remember, in years past, you had five years to play four.
So there was this thing called a red shirt or
a gray shirt. That's gone. So that's no longer an issue.
But what the NCAA did is they said, now you
have five to play five. So the idea of a
four-year guy is not necessarily... There are no four-year guys

(46:24):
necessarily because you have five years to play five. So
you could literally be a starter for five years in
college football. Now, I would question if you're a starter
for five years... You're not good enough to leave early
and go to the NFL, yet you were good enough
to start for five years. But it will happen. There

(46:45):
will be guys that play for five years.

Speaker 2 (46:47):
I guess that depends on how much money you can
make in your fifth year.

Speaker 3 (46:50):
Well, and that's the other side of it is that
if you're a guy that's a fifth or sixth round
projected draft pick going into that fourth or fifth year,
yet your NIL money, to stay is bigger than the
contract you might sign, and you know you're probably going
to get cut when you get into the NFL, why
not stay in college for.

Speaker 6 (47:09):
A little longer?

Speaker 9 (47:10):
But also, how many, and you see this a lot,
especially in the quarterback position, where you've got these people,
and I'm, you know, right off the top of the head,
I'm thinking like Tim Tebow, and, you know, national champion,
did all these things, and nope.

Speaker 4 (47:25):
Almost no.

Speaker 9 (47:27):
Experience or no game time when he got to the NFL,
which is interesting because he played.

Speaker 4 (47:32):
For the Broncos. He won a couple of playoff games,
and they're like, yeah, nobody wants him.

Speaker 3 (47:35):
We're done.

Speaker 4 (47:36):
But why?

Speaker 9 (47:37):
So he might be one of those, someone like him
could be a five-year guy, but for whatever reason just
doesn't transfer well to the NFL.

Speaker 4 (47:43):
Exactly.

Speaker 3 (47:43):
And I think there were some of these quarterbacks, you
look at Dante Moore as an example, who projected a
top five pick in the NFL. yet he decided to
stay in school because he has such a sweetheart deal,
and he knew he could make himself better by staying
in the college game for another year, and it became affordable.

(48:04):
So hard to believe that you've got kids that are 22,
23 years old having to make those kinds of financial decisions. But, Goose,
the one thing you did talk about is the fact
that there have been guys that have gotten drafted– gone
to the NFL, cut, and now have returned back to

(48:25):
college football.

Speaker 2 (48:26):
Tied in in Cleveland.

Speaker 9 (48:28):
I want your opinion on this, but let's hear from
Ryan Day and what he had to say about this
particular instance.

Speaker 7 (48:33):
I told myself I would stop saying that this is crazy.
So I'm not going to say that. But to think
that we're in a situation where we're this late in
the season and our rosters are not locked in is
frustrating at the very least. But what does that mean
for us? That's the bottom line. Well, I think, you know,
the conferences have to decide if there's a point where
their rosters have to be locked in. But we also,

(48:56):
if there are teams that have some players out there
who are cut from NFL rosters that are going to
be on other teams, we have to at least consider
and look at it.

Speaker 2 (49:03):
Do I like anything about it?

Speaker 4 (49:04):
Absolutely not.

Speaker 7 (49:05):
But we've got to do what's right for Ohio State.
So it's sort of a day-to-day thing right now. And
like anything, we're just going.

Speaker 3 (49:10):
To try to adapt.

Speaker 7 (49:12):
But whenever I heard that we were in a meeting
and someone says, yeah, LSU just got a commitment from
the Browns tight.

Speaker 4 (49:17):
End, I said, we are certainly.

Speaker 2 (49:19):
in a different world right now.

Speaker 3 (49:21):
Yeah, it has changed. There's no question about it.

Speaker 4 (49:23):
Now, I will say this.

Speaker 3 (49:25):
The Big Ten athletic directors took a vote on this thing,
and they all unanimously decided that they would not participate
in what Lane Kiffin said Did. And was he within
the rules?

Speaker 4 (49:41):
Absolutely.

Speaker 8 (49:42):
Okay, but if the SEC's going to do it, we're
still not going to?

Speaker 4 (49:47):
That is correct.

Speaker 2 (49:47):
So you're handing them an absolute advantage?

Speaker 3 (49:51):
You know, I think it's a one-off. I don't think
it's going to become... routine that there's going to be
25 guys that are going to return to college rosters.

Speaker 9 (50:00):
And that's also, I believe, the wrong mentality, Thig, because
you're saying, oh, if they're going to do it, we
have to do it to compete.

Speaker 4 (50:06):
No, we don't.

Speaker 9 (50:07):
The right thing to do is not take the players back.
So if they get a year or two advantage or whatever, fine.
We lose a couple games, whatever. It's not the right.

Speaker 4 (50:17):
Thing to do. You shouldn't do it just for the win.

Speaker 3 (50:19):
Keep in mind, the SEC's been cheating for years. They're
working within the rules.

Speaker 4 (50:27):
Now.

Speaker 3 (50:27):
They've been paying guys forever, yet the Big Ten now
has the last three national champions, and nobody in the
SEC is raising their hand down there and saying... We're
better than you guys. Well, they're probably saying it.

Speaker 4 (50:43):
They still are.

Speaker 3 (50:43):
But they've got nothing to back it up with. So
tell me about your guys up north. I think they
made the hire of the year.

Speaker 4 (50:51):
I agree. I cannot wait to see what happens.

Speaker 3 (50:54):
A coach with adult maturity in the Michigan program is
such a solid move.

Speaker 9 (51:05):
With a guy who, you know... Below a handful, including
Jim Harbaugh, can work with quarterbacks. And as much as
we hope that Underwood would be this, you know, godsend
in his freshman year. You don't step out in the
Big Ten on the big house and just all of
a sudden start throwing 90-yard bombs.

Speaker 4 (51:25):
It's not going to happen.

Speaker 9 (51:26):
But what the good news is, completely malleable like Play-Doh,
and Kyle's going to have his hands all over Bryce,
and I think there's going to be a huge improvement.
I know we've got a crazy running back duo, which
I'm very excited to see. Obviously nowhere near the wide
receiver core that you guys have, but there are a
couple of newcomers.

Speaker 4 (51:46):
This A couple of up-and-comers.

Speaker 3 (51:48):
You know, the Ohio State fans that hate the team
up north, and there's lots of them, you didn't want
them to hire Kyle. I mean, he is too good.

Speaker 9 (51:58):
I mean, we'll get to it when we get to it.
If the game was at the big house this year.

Speaker 4 (52:03):
Oh, yeah. Deep down in my heart of hearts, of course,
I want them to win.

Speaker 9 (52:10):
I don't know if they'll do it this year with
the team coming back and being at the bowl.

Speaker 4 (52:14):
But if it was at the big house, I might
feel a little different.

Speaker 3 (52:17):
Well, it takes you right back to 1969 when Bo
Schembechler took over for the first year. And they upset
Ohio State in that first one at Michigan. The game
was played up there. And I think it could have
been the same way. But, you know, Ohio State starts
the season ranked number one. But, you know, guys, I'm
going to share something with you that doesn't sit well
with me.

Speaker 4 (52:35):
All right?

Speaker 6 (52:36):
Field-level luxury suites?

Speaker 4 (52:39):
No.

Speaker 3 (52:42):
There's so many new things. We can talk about all
the new things that are going on. But do you
realize that Ohio State right now is on a two-game
losing streak?

Speaker 6 (52:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (52:54):
Oh, wow is right. When's the last time that happened?

Speaker 3 (52:57):
No kidding. I was at a booster group on Monday,
and these are guys that are whack-job booster crazy. They
know everything. I said, guys, when's the last time Ohio
State was on a two-game losing streak? And you would
have thought I peed in their Cheerios. And they were thinking.
I mean, they were going and going. My goodness. And

(53:19):
I still don't know the answer. So I'll get it solved.
We'll be doing Bucks Line tonight on another radio station, WTVN,
6 to 8. Since it doesn't compete with you guys
and Matt Minnick says it's okay. Join us 6 to
8 at WTVN. But we'll figure that out. But a
two-game losing streak.

Speaker 5 (53:37):
Right.

Speaker 3 (53:38):
Because you lost to Indiana in the Big Ten Championship
game and then you lose to Miami in the playoffs.
And this is something Ryan Day certainly has not had.

Speaker 10 (53:47):
No?

Speaker 3 (53:47):
A two-game losing streak.

Speaker 10 (53:48):
No.

Speaker 4 (53:50):
They're hungry.

Speaker 3 (53:51):
You know, it's last year.

Speaker 2 (53:52):
So they're dying to get back on the field.

Speaker 3 (53:53):
But it's still there.

Speaker 7 (53:55):
Sure.

Speaker 6 (53:56):
Can we get back to the suites? Because have you
been through them?

Speaker 3 (53:59):
I haven't been through them, but I've seen the videos
and everything else.

Speaker 6 (54:03):
Would you want to watch a game from there?

Speaker 3 (54:05):
Well, you know, it's interesting the way the setup is,
is because these suites, they look like shipping containers that
have been pushed up against the stands. And I'm sure
they're very well done. And, you know, for what they're
charging for them, they better be. I think the lower
level of it is for entertainment purposes only, not game watching.
And then there are seats on the top.

Speaker 6 (54:26):
Do you get access to those?

Speaker 5 (54:28):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (54:28):
I thought they were sold separately.

Speaker 4 (54:29):
No.

Speaker 6 (54:30):
Oh, on top of.

Speaker 4 (54:31):
The shipping container.

Speaker 3 (54:32):
Of your container.

Speaker 4 (54:33):
I gotcha.

Speaker 3 (54:33):
There are seating up there so that you can see.
Because if you were watching from down below, and Jerry
World in Dallas.

Speaker 2 (54:40):
They're all the way around.

Speaker 3 (54:40):
They're all the way around. What are you looking at?

Speaker 4 (54:42):
People's butts?

Speaker 3 (54:43):
They're standing on the sidelines? I understand. But if you're
at the lower level of these things, it makes no sense. Now,
at the same time, while we're putting in luxury suites
on the field level, brand new turf that the players wanted.
What else is new? Jim Trestle's name is going up.
Senior Day is going early. Team Up North decided to

(55:07):
finally put some advertising in the building.

Speaker 4 (55:10):
Yeah, I saw that.

Speaker 3 (55:11):
And there's like four signs in the end zone. So
they're getting a start on doing some of that advertising.
But now jersey patches. What do you think about that?

Speaker 6 (55:20):
Oh, yes.

Speaker 3 (55:21):
NASCAR. NASCAR and college football.

Speaker 4 (55:24):
I don't like it. You make enough money already. Don't
you think?

Speaker 2 (55:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (55:29):
And I get it. It's only one. But everybody's always
had an advertisement on every one of their jerseys before this.

Speaker 4 (55:36):
Yeah, whoever's providing their sports uniforms.

Speaker 3 (55:38):
Because you were either Nike or Under Armour or Adidas.

Speaker 2 (55:40):
Yeah, I don't care. I'm just watching the game.

Speaker 3 (55:42):
I understand.

Speaker 4 (55:43):
But now it's a bank, right? It's a bank.

Speaker 3 (55:46):
JP Morgan Chase. And it's funny because their logo is blue. Oh, geez.
It is blue. And people will tell you, branding, the color,
the font.

Speaker 4 (55:58):
Oh, it matters. It's a big deal. It absolutely matters, yeah.

Speaker 3 (56:01):
But one of the deals with Ohio State is if
you're going to do this, it ain't going to be blue.

Speaker 10 (56:04):
Right.

Speaker 3 (56:05):
I believe that. It'll be on every jersey of every team,
men's and women's competitive stuff, but it won't be blue.

Speaker 9 (56:12):
Real quick, before we get to our predictions here in
just a moment, I want to let you know the
last two losses were not that long ago.

Speaker 4 (56:18):
I'm shocked no one could come up with it. It's
very recent, actually.

Speaker 9 (56:22):
It was just a couple years ago when Michigan beat
Ohio State, and then Ohio State went to the Cotton
Bowl against Missouri, and they lost against Missouri in 2023.

Speaker 3 (56:30):
So it.

Speaker 4 (56:33):
Wasn't even that long ago.

Speaker 2 (56:34):
Hardly anybody played in that game.

Speaker 3 (56:36):
That's true. Yeah, that's interesting.

Speaker 8 (56:38):
Hey, real quick, did you see the article in the
Dispatch this week about Arthur Smith, our offensive coordinator?

Speaker 2 (56:43):
I don't know if you guys, Goose and Kelly, this
is crazy.

Speaker 8 (56:47):
His father is Fred Smith, a guy who started and
built a little company called FedEx.

Speaker 4 (56:52):
Yes.

Speaker 8 (56:53):
He has a family, and Fred has passed away. He
has a family fortune that's worth $ 6 billion.

Speaker 3 (57:00):
And he's coaching college football.

Speaker 2 (57:01):
He's not there for the money, obviously.

Speaker 3 (57:02):
No, no, I understand that.

Speaker 2 (57:03):
This guy, when he was 10 years old, he had
10 siblings. 10 years old, he's got all his siblings,
a few other kids.

Speaker 8 (57:09):
He's creating plays and having them line up, and he's
running offensive plays at 10 years old.

Speaker 2 (57:14):
It's all he ever cared about.

Speaker 3 (57:15):
It's all he ever wanted to do. Yeah, it's an
interesting story.

Speaker 2 (57:17):
You'll love this.

Speaker 8 (57:17):
His dad, when he was building FedEx in the early 70s,
he was down to $ 5, 000. He had all these cheap
planes he was trying to build this with, and he couldn't.

Speaker 2 (57:25):
Afford the fuel.

Speaker 8 (57:26):
He took his last $ 5, 000, went to Las Vegas. played
blackjack and won $ 25, 000 to fill up his planes and
was able to keep the business going and built what
we have today in FedEx.

Speaker 2 (57:38):
That's nuts.

Speaker 3 (57:39):
It's America, right? It's a great story. And for Ryan
Day and for Ohio State to have two coordinators that
have been head coaches in the NFL, think of how
much pressure that takes off of the head coach. To
have those guys with that kind of experience of Arthur
Smith and Matt Patricia making those calls. So, Guys, it's

(57:59):
one of the new things, Kelly.

Speaker 4 (58:01):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (58:02):
I want you to pay attention to this because nobody's
making a big deal out of this. You know the
little liner that's in the back of the helmet, the
rubber piece that's there to protect your neck?

Speaker 10 (58:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (58:11):
You know, part of the inside of the helmet. What
did it always say on the back of that for
Ohio State? Did it say Buckeyes? It said Buckeyes.

Speaker 4 (58:19):
Yeah. You know what they have now?

Speaker 2 (58:21):
What?

Speaker 3 (58:22):
The players' last names. Because you had so many transfers
come in, nobody knew their names.

Speaker 11 (58:27):
No.

Speaker 2 (58:28):
Oh, so before they had their actual jersey?

Speaker 3 (58:31):
Yes, now they have their last names on the back
of their helmet. And I remember going in as a freshman,
and you think you're all that until you see your helmet,
and they've put masking tape across the front of it
and written in with a Sharpie your last name, just so.

Speaker 4 (58:46):
People know who you are.

Speaker 3 (58:48):
And you thought you were all that.

Speaker 6 (58:49):
And also, if you left, they could just rip it
off and put a new one on.

Speaker 3 (58:52):
Exactly. Buckeyes are a 50-point favorite.

Speaker 8 (58:56):
50.

Speaker 3 (58:56):
Obviously.

Speaker 4 (58:57):
Obviously. And that's a lot of points, but obviously.

Speaker 3 (59:01):
But one of the toughest schedules in the country, and
I know we'll get into that throughout the season, guys.
This is going to be a challenge. Can you be
number one at the beginning and remain number one? Can
you win them all? Doubtful.

Speaker 2 (59:11):
It's happened twice in the last 30 years.

Speaker 4 (59:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (59:14):
Not a realistic expectation.

Speaker 4 (59:16):
Especially nowadays.

Speaker 3 (59:17):
No.

Speaker 4 (59:17):
Nowadays.

Speaker 3 (59:18):
Not easy. 11-1, 10-2, but where are they going to
come and who's going to? It isn't going to happen
this week.

Speaker 11 (59:24):
All right.

Speaker 2 (59:24):
It is not going to happen this week.

Speaker 4 (59:26):
All right. But 50. That's state. That's all I'm saying.
I know.

Speaker 2 (59:29):
It is.

Speaker 3 (59:29):
It could.

Speaker 4 (59:30):
Any given Saturday. 50 is 50. I'm just saying.

Speaker 3 (59:33):
That's a big number. The Buckeyes 63 and 10.

Speaker 4 (59:38):
63 to 10.

Speaker 3 (59:40):
63 and 10. Yes. Okay.

Speaker 4 (59:43):
Kelly.

Speaker 6 (59:43):
I'll say Buckeyes 56, 6. Two field goals.

Speaker 3 (59:47):
Two field goals. Or a missed extra point.

Speaker 6 (59:51):
Whatever you want.

Speaker 4 (59:52):
All right.

Speaker 2 (59:52):
What was it, Kelly?

Speaker 8 (59:52):
Kelly.

Speaker 2 (59:53):
56-6.

Speaker 3 (59:54):
Could be three safeties.

Speaker 4 (59:57):
I'm going to go... I'm going to go 52-10. All right.

Speaker 3 (01:00:04):
Not a cover.

Speaker 4 (01:00:07):
Thick.

Speaker 10 (01:00:07):
52-10.

Speaker 8 (01:00:07):
Oh, you know, we're going to run down their throat,
going to hold that team to less than 100 total
yards and win this game 63-0.

Speaker 4 (01:00:13):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (01:00:14):
A shutout.

Speaker 4 (01:00:15):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:00:16):
Love it. Hey, it's going to be fun. And by
the way, I'm sure you guys have talked about this
a whole lot, but Our good friend Goose here getting
married tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (01:00:24):
Tomorrow. Thank you very much for coming in early. Are
you kidding me?

Speaker 3 (01:00:28):
Congratulations.

Speaker 4 (01:00:29):
Thank you very much. Cannot wait.

Speaker 3 (01:00:30):
She must be spectacular.

Speaker 4 (01:00:32):
She's pretty great.

Speaker 3 (01:00:33):
Well, considering, Jeff, what she's entering into.

Speaker 6 (01:00:36):
Oh, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (01:00:37):
He's joined our club.

Speaker 4 (01:00:39):
He has outkicked his coverage.

Speaker 3 (01:00:42):
Oh, there's no doubt. There is no doubt. Behave yourself.

Speaker 4 (01:00:48):
Just behave. Are you talking about at the wedding or
just in general?

Speaker 3 (01:00:52):
No, at the wedding.

Speaker 4 (01:00:53):
Oh, yeah. No, yeah, for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:00:55):
And for the rest of your life.

Speaker 3 (01:00:56):
Let's just get through tomorrow. Let's just get through tomorrow. No,
but congratulations, my friend.

Speaker 4 (01:01:02):
Thank you. Are we doing season predictions? Is this a record? No.

Speaker 2 (01:01:08):
No, we're going to win the national championship. What do
we need to do?

Speaker 3 (01:01:11):
We'll be a playoff team. There's no doubt about it.

Speaker 2 (01:01:14):
That's it. You just got to get in the playoffs.
We know that.

Speaker 3 (01:01:16):
And don't ever forget Goose Kelly.

Speaker 2 (01:01:21):
Goose Kelly.

Speaker 3 (01:01:22):
Isn't that the name of the show? Goose Kelly and Thick.
Goose Kelly. Goose Kelly.

Speaker 5 (01:01:27):
And Thick.

Speaker 6 (01:01:28):
Both of us.

Speaker 4 (01:01:29):
No thanks.

Speaker 2 (01:01:29):
Jeff.

Speaker 4 (01:01:30):
Jeff.

Speaker 2 (01:01:31):
This is the first time I will ever step foot
in the state of Michigan.

Speaker 3 (01:01:36):
Never been?

Speaker 2 (01:01:36):
Never been.

Speaker 3 (01:01:37):
Fishing's good up there.

Speaker 2 (01:01:38):
I know that.

Speaker 4 (01:01:38):
Amazing.

Speaker 3 (01:01:39):
That's shocking.

Speaker 2 (01:01:40):
That's the one reason I would want to go.

Speaker 4 (01:01:41):
Steelhead.

Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
Yeah, and Smallmouth Bass. I mean, Lake St. Clair's the
Smallmouth capital of the world.

Speaker 4 (01:01:49):
Well, Jeff, thank you very much. I really appreciate you
coming in early.

Speaker 9 (01:01:52):
Cannot wait as we have got you for the next, what,
12 weeks here, and we're just going to have fun.

Speaker 4 (01:01:57):
Whether you like it or not.

Speaker 5 (01:01:59):
Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (01:01:59):
Go Bucs!

Speaker 4 (01:02:00):
I-O!

Speaker 5 (01:02:04):
You okay?

Speaker 4 (01:02:05):
And now, the.

Speaker 5 (01:02:08):
Three things you need to know before you go.

Speaker 1 (01:02:10):
Looks like Ohioans will not get to see a debate
between the candidates for governor. Republican Vivek Ramaswamy says he
accepted debate invitations from CNN and from a Cincinnati TV station.
But Democrat Amy Acton's campaign then put out a releasing
that she would not debate Ramaswamy. Usually when the governor's
seat is open, the candidates will debate. The last gubernatorial

(01:02:30):
debate in Ohio was in 2018. Jurors in the Lindsay
Clancy triple murder trial say they are still stuck. After
more than 27 hours of talks over five days, the
panel told a Plymouth, Massachusetts judge for the second time
that it could not unanimously agree on a verdict, prompting
him to deliver the so-called dynamite charge, which is a
standard legally required last resort instruction intended to prod them

(01:02:54):
to keep discussing a possible verdict. He then sent them
back for more deliberations later. Clancy has admitted to murdering
her three young children since she was suffering postpartum psychosis,
so she is not responsible.

Speaker 9 (01:03:06):
How do you handle that situation? Like, going back once, like,
we don't agree. Just go talk for a little bit longer.
But then at that point, isn't it just someone trying
to convince someone else to give in? Like, if you
don't think they did it for whatever reason, and you do,
then at some point, you're just trying to get the
other person to give in.

Speaker 4 (01:03:26):
Like, you've already talked about the evidence. You believe.

Speaker 6 (01:03:29):
Right.

Speaker 4 (01:03:30):
A certain way. I believe a certain way. I see
it a certain way.

Speaker 6 (01:03:32):
Who's going to convince the other to switch sides.

Speaker 4 (01:03:35):
Right.

Speaker 6 (01:03:36):
And vote in a way that they don't truly believe.

Speaker 4 (01:03:40):
Yeah. Yeah. That seems a little weird.

Speaker 6 (01:03:42):
That's true.

Speaker 4 (01:03:43):
I've never been in the jury room before. I don't
know what that's like to try and.

Speaker 6 (01:03:46):
Especially if there's like one holdout.

Speaker 5 (01:03:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:03:49):
Everybody else agrees on something and then there's one person
who's like, no. But you can't, I mean, is it
right to try to convince that person to go against.

Speaker 4 (01:03:56):
That one person, right.

Speaker 9 (01:03:58):
But is it also right to let that person go
if one out of 12 thinks you didn't do it?

Speaker 10 (01:04:02):
Exactly.

Speaker 3 (01:04:02):
Yes.

Speaker 9 (01:04:03):
I think that there's a super majority of like eight
out of 12 at that point.

Speaker 4 (01:04:08):
I don't know. Okay.

Speaker 6 (01:04:09):
I'm no lawyer. The majority wins?

Speaker 4 (01:04:10):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:04:11):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:04:13):
An interior designer who says she spent a decade as
the de facto wife of Texas oil billionaire Sid Bass
is now suing him and his new spouse for what
she calls a bait and switch on her financial future.
In a huge federal lawsuit filed this week, 64-year-old Una
Spare claims she abandoned her career after starting a relationship
with Bass, who is 20 years her senior. So she's 64,

(01:04:34):
he's 84 now. She says that he made it very
clear that they would be building their lives together. She
says she, despite not being married, ran his Upper East
Side properties, wore a 25-carat diamond ring on her finger,
and was introduced at events as his wife or his partner.
And she said she expected lifelong support because he promised it. Instead,

(01:04:56):
apparently he was diagnosed with Parkinson's and then went and
got married to somebody else and sent her like basically
a two sentence letter saying, hey, I married this woman.

Speaker 2 (01:05:07):
You're out after 10 years.

Speaker 4 (01:05:10):
That's like common law marriage. Like you're you're in.

Speaker 3 (01:05:13):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (01:05:13):
All right.

Speaker 1 (01:05:15):
Her argument is that he promised her 50 million dollars.
along with two properties when he first said, we're.

Speaker 6 (01:05:24):
Splitting up because I already married somebody else. I don't
want you anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:05:27):
Then his lawyer sent an agreement offering $ 5 million, no properties.
And she said, no, that's not good enough because you
know what? You have two other ex-wives and you really
took care of them. Like one of them was the
biggest divorce settlement ever in Texas. And he wants to
send her away with $ 5 million.

Speaker 6 (01:05:43):
So I don't know, man.

Speaker 4 (01:05:44):
I don't.

Speaker 6 (01:05:47):
That's a whole other lifestyle that I don't get.

Speaker 4 (01:05:51):
Can't even fathom.

Speaker 7 (01:05:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:05:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:05:54):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:05:55):
Why would you not walk away with five? I'm going
to give you five mil to walk away right now. Okay. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:05:59):
Sounds good.

Speaker 4 (01:06:00):
You're an ass. I'm taking the five mil and leaving.

Speaker 1 (01:06:03):
But can you imagine what her lifestyle was this past
10 years with a billionaire?

Speaker 4 (01:06:06):
Yeah. It's true.

Speaker 3 (01:06:08):
All right.

Speaker 6 (01:06:09):
Those are your three things.

Speaker 4 (01:06:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (01:06:10):
When you're used to being a billionaire status, five mil
really is not much.

Speaker 4 (01:06:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (01:06:16):
You know, product design is all about making life easier.

Speaker 4 (01:06:21):
You know, forever, we were just like.

Speaker 9 (01:06:24):
Carrying things, and then someone came up with this round
thing that made it a lot easier. If you slapped
a couple on a box, that box would then roll
and make things moving so much easier. And then we
learned that, you know, you've got this straw and this mud,
but if we put together and... seal up some steel

(01:06:45):
it'll be it'll be sturdier and then and then we
move on to you know if you want to heat
up some food sure you could start a fire and
stuff no we've got we've got an enclosed box now
he heats up for you and then we made it
even easier you push a couple buttons and forget 15
minutes you know one minute you just microwave that thing
up and then we decided you know what you could

(01:07:06):
build something where you get it kind of all-encompassing You know,
you've got your Swiss Army knife. You could be out
and about and have all the little things you need
right in your pocket. Or even you, Thick, I think
you have one, the little box that you keep in
your car, and it's got a flashlight and a jump
starter and a radio and, you know, all the things
you need in an emergency.

Speaker 4 (01:07:26):
Sort of situation.

Speaker 9 (01:07:27):
So our phones, it used to be you had your
camera and your video camera and your cell phone and
then your MapQuest direction.

Speaker 4 (01:07:33):
No, no, no, everything all together in one. For me
personally as a man, especially a bald man, One bottle
in my shower.

Speaker 9 (01:07:42):
Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, ball scrubber. It's got everything just
right there. Everything I need.

Speaker 4 (01:07:47):
All in one.

Speaker 9 (01:07:47):
It's all about condensing and making life easier. So the
people at Walmart decided to jump on the trend and
they said, you know, let's make, I'm sorry, Walgreens, not Walmart, Walgreens.
Let's make life a little bit easier and try and condense.
Do kind of an all-encompassing thing that will make life
easier for the average human being. And that is why

(01:08:10):
they have come up with the 3-in-1 Douche Enema Water Bottle.

Speaker 1 (01:08:17):
So if you're thirsty, if you're backed up, or if
you need a little refreshing, it's the same thing.

Speaker 4 (01:08:24):
Same thing.

Speaker 8 (01:08:26):
What?

Speaker 6 (01:08:26):
$ 22.

Speaker 10 (01:08:26):
99.

Speaker 4 (01:08:26):
Available at Walgreens.

Speaker 9 (01:08:27):
It's multipurpose and reasonable with attachments that serve as a
personal hygiene and cleaning system.

Speaker 4 (01:08:32):
The water bottle can also be used.
No. No.

Speaker 9 (01:08:39):
It's only going to take one mistake before you throw
that thing out.

Speaker 4 (01:08:44):
That's the wrong nozzle. Boy, this water sure is salty.
Something ain't right. Who decided to include a douche? and
an enema with your water bottle?

Speaker 6 (01:09:02):
I can guarantee it wasn't a woman. All right? I
can tell you that right now.

Speaker 2 (01:09:06):
So this is the greatest invention since the wheel.

Speaker 3 (01:09:08):
In the microwave?

Speaker 2 (01:09:09):
Is that what you're saying?

Speaker 9 (01:09:10):
No, I'm saying this is possibly the worst invention ever.
I'm just saying I understand the three-in-one mentality.

Speaker 4 (01:09:17):
Right.

Speaker 9 (01:09:17):
I understand the condensed. But those are three things that
should not mix. This is exactly why the song, one
of these things is not like the other, was written.

Speaker 4 (01:09:28):
Because one of these does not belong. And that would
be the water bottle section. Now, I will tell you this.

Speaker 9 (01:09:36):
The water bottle is designed as a water bottle to
keep water in for like a hot or cold compress.

Speaker 3 (01:09:45):
Oh, okay.

Speaker 6 (01:09:46):
I gotcha.

Speaker 9 (01:09:48):
But still, don't advertise it as a water bottle.

Speaker 4 (01:09:54):
That is the wrong thing to... Those are the wrong words.
You use the words like... Douche enema or cold compress
or hot compress. Something.

Speaker 9 (01:10:04):
It's a guarantee. Someone is going to be taking a
sippy sip. Someone's going to be like, oh, man, I
could use some water. And then your friend's going to
hand you their water bottle. And you're going to be like,
that is really crappy water. That is not good at all.

Speaker 3 (01:10:21):
I think.

Speaker 1 (01:10:22):
Everything in the lower region should be separated out. I
don't think you should be combining any of that together.

Speaker 4 (01:10:28):
You know what? I agree with you.

Speaker 6 (01:10:29):
Yeah, let's separate out the orifices.

Speaker 4 (01:10:33):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (01:10:34):
They have separate things for everything going on down there.

Speaker 4 (01:10:37):
I don't need a combination.

Speaker 6 (01:10:38):
And I would go even further.

Speaker 4 (01:10:39):
I would go even further. I'm not against combining things.

Speaker 9 (01:10:43):
But anything to do with the b-hole area should be
left by itself.

Speaker 6 (01:10:47):
A hundred percent.

Speaker 4 (01:10:48):
That is a special caveat. That is a one of one.
That is a do not disturb. Just me and me alone. Yes.

Speaker 3 (01:10:58):
Agreed.

Speaker 8 (01:10:59):
Doug said, introducing the Stanley by douche. And then Scott
said it's perfect for prostitution, and Don simply says, why
is this real?

Speaker 9 (01:11:07):
Yeah, this should not be a thing. Someone at Walgreens seriously, no,
just no.

Speaker 4 (01:11:14):
But if you need.

Speaker 9 (01:11:16):
Something and you're trying to save space, there you go.

Speaker 4 (01:11:19):
The douche enema water bottle available at Walgreens now.

Speaker 10 (01:11:23):
Not so breaking news the news already broke we're trying
to put it back together all.

Speaker 9 (01:11:30):
Right let's start with a follow-up as uh kelly reported
yesterday or tuesday but the uss abraham lincoln has made
landfall they got their shore leave they are in pattaya
thailand now if you don't know Pattaya has been a
very popular destination ever since the Vietnam War. That's when

(01:11:57):
they kind of set up this station. And it was
literally because of all the sailors coming in during the
Vietnam War that this area of Thailand became what it was.
And it started with the infamous Red Light District, obviously.
and then kind of grew from there to bars, nightclubs, restaurants,
and it became a major point in Thailand. And then

(01:12:20):
once the Vietnam War was over, it became such a
hot point that people from Europe started, it became a
huge tourist attraction, and that's how they've stayed in business,
they've continued to grow and flourish, and it is still
very much a hot spot.

Speaker 4 (01:12:36):
Well, they have now made landfall, and... There are two
reports coming up.

Speaker 9 (01:12:42):
The first report is that the sailors were told that
if you get invited to dinner by an American, because
I guess a lot of Americans are still visiting, but
there's a particular group of Americans right now that have
gone over there, and they want to pay respects and
treat our sailors to a nice meal and welcome them
to land after 270 or whatever it was days. But

(01:13:06):
they were told, the sailors were told, do not accept
that dinner.

Speaker 6 (01:13:11):
Why?

Speaker 9 (01:13:12):
Because almost all of those people are reporters that have
flown over, and they want to get the dirt of
what really happened, what was the experience like.

Speaker 4 (01:13:23):
They want all the inside information.

Speaker 6 (01:13:25):
Name, rank, and serial number.

Speaker 4 (01:13:26):
Yep.

Speaker 9 (01:13:27):
So they were instructed, you are not allowed to accept
steak dinners and such. From these people, these Americans that
are over there.

Speaker 6 (01:13:34):
I see that.

Speaker 9 (01:13:35):
And do not, they were instructed, do not talk to reporters.
The second report coming out is this poor red light district.
There's two of them over there. And apparently they cannot
keep up.

Speaker 6 (01:13:49):
Oh, they're getting hammered.

Speaker 4 (01:13:51):
Literally.

Speaker 2 (01:13:52):
Oh.

Speaker 4 (01:13:53):
Literally getting hammered. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:13:56):
So they're like. So they got lines.

Speaker 1 (01:13:59):
I mean, like, cedar point turnstile.

Speaker 4 (01:14:02):
They've got the stanchion set out.

Speaker 7 (01:14:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:14:05):
Could you imagine being number 36 in that line? No.

Speaker 3 (01:14:09):
No.

Speaker 6 (01:14:09):
You'd have to call in the part-timers.

Speaker 4 (01:14:13):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:14:13):
You gotta.

Speaker 4 (01:14:14):
No, I can't. There's no way.

Speaker 6 (01:14:17):
Oh, man.

Speaker 9 (01:14:21):
You're just going in there knowing you just watched your
buddy walk out.

Speaker 6 (01:14:26):
The poor women.

Speaker 4 (01:14:27):
And you're walking.

Speaker 3 (01:14:29):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 9 (01:14:29):
At some point. At some point, you got to go, man.
Give him a break. You walk in and she's already
got an ice pack between her legs.

Speaker 4 (01:14:39):
Like, come on. Leave the poor woman alone. You can't go.

Speaker 6 (01:14:49):
I hope the overtime is voluntary. You know what I'm saying? Yeah,
let these girls leave.

Speaker 4 (01:14:55):
You got to. You got to.

Speaker 9 (01:15:01):
You can't throw a burrito down a tunnel and expect
any sort of gratification.

Speaker 4 (01:15:06):
No. Story number two.

Speaker 6 (01:15:09):
It's been a long time.

Speaker 4 (01:15:10):
Story number two takes us down to Arkansas. Kelly, this
one's for you.

Speaker 9 (01:15:14):
We've heard you report many times on the doings of
the data center up in your area. and all the
work that's going into it. There's a lot of arguments,
pro and con, as to why data centers should be
built in your area.

Speaker 4 (01:15:28):
Well, here's a problem.

Speaker 9 (01:15:29):
Entergy Arkansas is the company that is handling a lot
of the energy down there and is building this new
data center. Well, they just had to sit through a
four-hour hearing with a U.S. district judge.

Speaker 4 (01:15:43):
And it all comes down to Jessica Cavell.

Speaker 9 (01:15:46):
She is a young mom who has interest in in
the controversy over the data centers that is being built
in her area. So she took part and used, if
you will, the Freedom of Information Act, which is when
anybody can submit paperwork to then receive public information.

Speaker 4 (01:16:07):
Most of us don't.

Speaker 9 (01:16:08):
We don't look that deep into government stuff like that.
But there are people who want to know what's going on.

Speaker 4 (01:16:13):
So she did. She filed the paperwork.

Speaker 9 (01:16:16):
And then a couple weeks later, she received in the
mail the reports of what was going on and the doings,
because you're allowed the notes and the minutes and things
like that about meetings. Well, unfortunately, when they sent her
all that, they also sent her some internal documents.

Speaker 4 (01:16:33):
Oops.

Speaker 6 (01:16:34):
And now.

Speaker 9 (01:16:36):
Entergy Arkansas is trying to block reporters because she shared
some of this Public Information Act information, and now they're
trying to sue to get them to block it and
basically make it secret again. But here's what we do
know from the information. It has come to find out

(01:16:57):
that all the things they've been talking about, all the
things Entergy Arkansas has been saying about reporters No effect
to anyone. This is how it's going to go down.
They're paying for this, and this is going to happen,
and you won't have to worry about this. Yeah, as
it turns out, that ain't true. All of the internal
documents show that everything they are promoting is basically... 25% true,

(01:17:22):
especially when it comes to the payment and the energy
used by Entergy Arkansas and.

Speaker 4 (01:17:28):
The data center.

Speaker 6 (01:17:29):
And you know, they're not the only one. I mean,
this is industry wide.

Speaker 9 (01:17:32):
Most importantly, it's about the energy used and what Entergy
Arkansas is going to be paying. And as it turns out,
they're only paying about 25% of the bill, even though
it was promised.

Speaker 4 (01:17:44):
Nuh-uh, they're covering it.

Speaker 10 (01:17:46):
No, no.

Speaker 9 (01:17:47):
These internal documents show that they have an agreement. That
they're only paying about 25%.

Speaker 4 (01:17:51):
They don't care about us. That's what it comes down to.

Speaker 5 (01:17:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:17:57):
That's what it comes down to.

Speaker 3 (01:17:58):
Go ahead.

Speaker 2 (01:17:59):
I just said, you guys know about the data center
being built in Piketon, Ohio?

Speaker 4 (01:18:03):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:18:03):
It's the biggest in the world.

Speaker 4 (01:18:05):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:18:05):
For open AI. It's going to be in there.

Speaker 8 (01:18:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:18:08):
I mean.

Speaker 1 (01:18:09):
If I might just talk about what's going on in
Jersey Township and Lincoln County.

Speaker 8 (01:18:13):
Please.

Speaker 6 (01:18:13):
It's horrendous. Now, I am not completely against data centers.
We need them.

Speaker 2 (01:18:18):
Obviously.

Speaker 6 (01:18:18):
Obviously.

Speaker 1 (01:18:19):
If we want to operate in our world as we
like to operate with our phones and our computers and
our AI and all that, you've got to have data centers.
What I don't like is, first of all, the secret
buying and selling.

Speaker 6 (01:18:32):
Of land and annexing. I don't like that in New Albany.
What I don't like is the.

Speaker 1 (01:18:37):
Multiple projects that are happening right now in Licking County,
in the Johnstown area in specific, and this is personal
to me, that is really impacting the quality of life
of the people who live there. Number one, traffic is
a nightmare right now. Traffic is an absolute nightmare. Number two,
all this traffic's going down side streets that are not

(01:18:57):
meant to be traveled by enormous dump trucks and work
trucks at 50, 60 miles an hour down residential streets.

Speaker 6 (01:19:07):
It is because.

Speaker 1 (01:19:08):
Just the way the speed limits are set up. Our
speed limits are 55 miles an hour, but it's usually
just traveled by the people who live on the street.

Speaker 6 (01:19:15):
Not now. It's dangerous.

Speaker 1 (01:19:17):
They don't tell you what's going on with the energy
and with the water consumption and who's going to be
paying for it, what's going to happen with our water table.

Speaker 6 (01:19:24):
It's all a big mystery. That I hate.

Speaker 4 (01:19:27):
And that's exactly what this document is showing. Yeah, it's...
Where's the balance? That's what they have to find.

Speaker 5 (01:19:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:19:35):
For sure. There's no balance.

Speaker 1 (01:19:36):
I mean, you do business, that's fine, but you've got
to let the residents and the neighbors know what's going on.

Speaker 4 (01:19:41):
And be truthful and open about it.

Speaker 3 (01:19:43):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (01:19:43):
Anyways. Ugh, I'm so mad.

Speaker 9 (01:19:46):
Nothing like getting that little fury monster riled up inside
of Kelly.

Speaker 2 (01:19:52):
That's right.

Speaker 4 (01:19:52):
That's your Not So Breaking News 987 The Blitz.

Speaker 6 (01:19:57):
Learn your fate with the mythical coin of destiny.

Speaker 9 (01:20:02):
That's right it's time to bust out the mythical coin
of destiny an ancient ancient coin that has been passed
on through my family.

Speaker 4 (01:20:09):
For many many many many generations and the mythical.

Speaker 9 (01:20:13):
Coin of destiny having the ability to answer any question
you have if you have a yes no question you
need answered 800-821-9970 give us a call we will allow
you to ask your question to the mythical coin of
destiny which will then tell you what will happen Kelly,
can you think of a question for the Mythical Coin

(01:20:35):
of Destiny?

Speaker 6 (01:20:35):
I mean, I have one for you.

Speaker 5 (01:20:36):
Oh, okay.

Speaker 4 (01:20:37):
You want to jump? Yeah.

Speaker 10 (01:20:38):
Sure.

Speaker 4 (01:20:38):
Let's jump right into the nuptial questions.

Speaker 6 (01:20:41):
The nuptial questions.

Speaker 1 (01:20:42):
Now, legend has it, I've never been in the room
when this has happened, but legend has it, there are
mornings here in the studio at 99.7 The Blitz where
you walk out and.

Speaker 6 (01:20:52):
You say, it's going to be a great day.

Speaker 4 (01:20:54):
Tater. Oh, it's going to be a great day, Tater.

Speaker 6 (01:20:56):
It's going to be a great day, Tater.

Speaker 4 (01:20:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:20:58):
And then you go straight to the bathroom.

Speaker 4 (01:20:59):
Yep.

Speaker 6 (01:21:00):
Will that happen tomorrow?

Speaker 4 (01:21:02):
No. Oh, am I going to have to poop during
the ceremony?

Speaker 6 (01:21:07):
Or before. I mean, is it going to be a
great ceremony, tater?

Speaker 4 (01:21:11):
Going to be a great ceremony. Mythical coin of destiny.
Is it going to be a great ceremony, tater?

Speaker 5 (01:21:24):
The answer is yes.

Speaker 6 (01:21:26):
Oh, nice.

Speaker 9 (01:21:28):
So I'm going to get there and we're Five minutes
after I'm there, I'm going to be like, oh, it's
going to be a great ceremony, Tater.

Speaker 4 (01:21:36):
Yep. Which, although I'm glad about it. I get it
all out before the ceremony.

Speaker 6 (01:21:40):
You make things perfect.

Speaker 4 (01:21:41):
So I'm not standing there rocking back and forth.

Speaker 9 (01:21:43):
I've got the beads of sweat rolling down my face
for the wrong reasons.

Speaker 6 (01:21:47):
You jump from the first line to the last line
of your vows.

Speaker 4 (01:21:50):
Because you just can't take it. Yeah, real quick. Look
at the officiant. Can we move this? Come on! Speed
it up, Sparky! Daddy got a poo! Thig, do you
have a question for the Mythical Crown of Destiny? Well, yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:22:04):
I'm going through the timeline in my head. You know,
the whole thing, the party and the event center that
we're having this whole thing will end at 10.

Speaker 2 (01:22:13):
And then we're all going out into Detroit, right?

Speaker 8 (01:22:16):
We're going out on the town.

Speaker 4 (01:22:17):
Ferndale, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:22:18):
Well, that's Detroit. I mean, it's a suburb of Detroit.

Speaker 4 (01:22:20):
It is.

Speaker 2 (01:22:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:22:21):
We're going out.

Speaker 2 (01:22:22):
We're leaving the venue. We're going out.

Speaker 11 (01:22:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:22:23):
All right.

Speaker 8 (01:22:25):
And then I feel like we're going to pour you
into the Airbnb at the end of the night and
it's over. And I'm just wondering, is Goose going to
have sex on his wedding night?

Speaker 4 (01:22:35):
Well, okay. I'll tell you this.

Speaker 3 (01:22:38):
Okay.

Speaker 9 (01:22:38):
We'll ask the Mythical Corner, Desi. Is Goose going to
have sex on his wedding night?

Speaker 6 (01:22:47):
The answer is no.

Speaker 9 (01:22:51):
Okay, but this is why I know the mythical coin
of destiny is real. Because Nora and I have had
this discussion. We've known for months.

Speaker 4 (01:23:00):
There is no. We don't even want to have sex
on our wedding night.

Speaker 6 (01:23:05):
This night is set aside for partying, period.

Speaker 9 (01:23:08):
Yeah, first of all, we have plenty of sex. I'm
not worried about it. It's nothing new.

Speaker 4 (01:23:12):
Second of all, it's an entire... Do you know how
drained and worn out we're going to be?

Speaker 2 (01:23:16):
Yes, that's why I... No, absolutely not.

Speaker 4 (01:23:19):
If she tries to make a move, I'm pushing her
out of bed. Get away from me, heathen.

Speaker 6 (01:23:24):
No.

Speaker 4 (01:23:26):
I'm not having sex on a wedding night.

Speaker 3 (01:23:29):
800-821-9970.

Speaker 9 (01:23:29):
Do you have a question for the Mythical Coin of Destiny?

Speaker 4 (01:23:33):
Blitz, hi, who's this? Hey, it's Kyle.

Speaker 3 (01:23:36):
Kyle.

Speaker 4 (01:23:36):
All right, Kyle, do you have a question for the
Mythical Coin of Destiny?

Speaker 7 (01:23:40):
So my fantasy football draft tomorrow, so I'd like to
ask the Mythical Coin, will I win this year?

Speaker 9 (01:23:47):
Oh, will Kyle win his fantasy football league this year?

Speaker 4 (01:23:52):
Draft is tomorrow. Mythical Coin of Destiny, what say you?

Speaker 6 (01:23:58):
The answer is no.

Speaker 10 (01:23:59):
No!

Speaker 6 (01:24:01):
No!

Speaker 4 (01:24:03):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (01:24:04):
Does the coin go with the odds?

Speaker 4 (01:24:06):
How long have you been playing in this league, Kyle?

Speaker 2 (01:24:10):
Ten years.

Speaker 4 (01:24:11):
Ten years. Have you ever won it?

Speaker 5 (01:24:12):
Twice.

Speaker 3 (01:24:14):
Twice.

Speaker 4 (01:24:14):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (01:24:15):
All right.

Speaker 4 (01:24:15):
Not bad. If you can, get Gibbs. That's all I'll
tell you.

Speaker 2 (01:24:19):
You got to first pick, get Gibbs.

Speaker 4 (01:24:21):
Get Gibbs as your running back, if at all possible.
I'm avoiding all Browns. As you should.

Speaker 2 (01:24:27):
And that's good strategy, too.

Speaker 9 (01:24:28):
As you should. Well, thank you very much for the call.
I really appreciate it. Let's see. Terrence wants to know,
will I make the drive from Florida back to Ohio
in July for the Pez Convention that I've never been to?

Speaker 4 (01:24:43):
Oh, good question. All right.

Speaker 2 (01:24:45):
There's a Pez Convention in Ohio?

Speaker 4 (01:24:46):
There's a Pez Convention, yeah.

Speaker 11 (01:24:48):
Nice.

Speaker 4 (01:24:49):
Here we go.

Speaker 5 (01:24:51):
The answer is yes.

Speaker 6 (01:24:53):
Yay!

Speaker 4 (01:24:53):
There you go. Nice. Okay.

Speaker 6 (01:24:56):
Very good.

Speaker 9 (01:24:57):
JC has a very interesting question. Will Disney start making
better movies?

Speaker 3 (01:25:04):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:25:05):
Let's find out.

Speaker 5 (01:25:09):
The answer is yes.

Speaker 4 (01:25:11):
Okay. Better movies from Disney. I mean, I will tell
you this.

Speaker 9 (01:25:14):
Their latest Marvel movie. installation was amazing. It's been breaking
all the records. I'm very much looking forward to Doomsday.
That looks like it's going to be an amazing movie.

Speaker 2 (01:25:23):
I still haven't watched The Mandalorian and Grogu. I've got
to watch that.

Speaker 4 (01:25:27):
They just released that on Disney +.

Speaker 2 (01:25:28):
It just came out on streaming, yeah.

Speaker 9 (01:25:30):
The question I had about that movie, though, is I
read the synopsis. I knew from the trailers that Jabba
the Hutt's son was in the movie, but I didn't
realize in the plot synopsis the movie is about Mandalorian
and Grogu saving the son.

Speaker 2 (01:25:45):
His son, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:25:47):
How did they.

Speaker 4 (01:25:49):
We've all seen Jabba.

Speaker 2 (01:25:50):
Yeah. You can't punish the son for the sins of
the father.

Speaker 9 (01:25:54):
I'm not worried about the sins of the father. I'm
worried about how do you get a son. Is there
a section on the hub for that?

Speaker 2 (01:26:01):
Maybe he wasn't always fat. I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:26:03):
Hub hut.

Speaker 2 (01:26:04):
Hut hub.

Speaker 4 (01:26:06):
The old hut hub.

Speaker 9 (01:26:07):
Because he's already slimy and greasy, so I want to
know the sights, sounds, and smells that come out of that.

Speaker 4 (01:26:16):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:26:17):
But he's probably, you know, that species.

Speaker 4 (01:26:20):
Morbid curiosity.

Speaker 8 (01:26:21):
His mate is probably very similar to him.

Speaker 9 (01:26:24):
That's why I want to know the sight sounds and
smells coming out of that.

Speaker 2 (01:26:29):
Well, I hope we don't see it in the movie.

Speaker 4 (01:26:35):
Let's see.

Speaker 9 (01:26:35):
Oh, ask the coin if Goose will enjoy his specialty
liquor on his wedding day. Oh, I know the answer
to this one, too, but we'll ask the mythical coin
of destiny. Will there be Captain Morgan at my wedding?

Speaker 3 (01:26:47):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 5 (01:26:50):
The answer is yes.

Speaker 4 (01:26:51):
Of course. The whole world knew that. That's a given
for sure.

Speaker 1 (01:26:55):
Jamie wants to know if she's going to pass the
kidney stone this weekend.

Speaker 4 (01:26:59):
Oh, man.

Speaker 2 (01:27:03):
Come on, come on.

Speaker 6 (01:27:03):
The answer is no.

Speaker 2 (01:27:05):
Oh, no.

Speaker 6 (01:27:07):
Come on.

Speaker 2 (01:27:08):
Hey, maybe it'll happen tonight.

Speaker 4 (01:27:09):
Oh, then it won't be this weekend.

Speaker 2 (01:27:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:27:12):
That's a way to look at that.

Speaker 6 (01:27:13):
Good luck, Jamie.

Speaker 4 (01:27:13):
Yeah, good luck on that.

Speaker 2 (01:27:15):
All right.

Speaker 4 (01:27:15):
800-821-9970. If you've got a question for the Mythical Corner
of Destiny, let us know. 99.7 The Blitz.

Speaker 5 (01:27:20):
And now, the three things you need to know before
you go.

Speaker 1 (01:27:25):
Well, El Nino isn't just back. It may be about
to set a record. The World Meteorological Organization is warning
today that the current event is likely to continue into 2027.
It could become the most powerful ever measured. Driven by
unusually warm Pacific waters. And by the way, there has
been no action in the Atlantic. We've been in hurricane season,

(01:27:46):
Atlantic hurricane season since June. Zero hurricanes so far this season.

Speaker 2 (01:27:50):
Is that because of El Nino?

Speaker 10 (01:27:52):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (01:27:53):
Oh, wow.

Speaker 2 (01:27:53):
Okay. I know they had that one storm.

Speaker 1 (01:27:56):
The agency now puts the chance of El Nino lasting
through February 2027 at nearly zero. 100% that's a level
of confidence it's not previously expressed. There's a 69% chance
it'll become the strongest El Nino since 1950.

Speaker 6 (01:28:11):
So what does this mean practically?

Speaker 1 (01:28:13):
For us, it likely mean a milder, drier, less snowy winter.
For other parts of the country, it may mean wetter
conditions in the south, mudslides, tornadoes, etc. But this could
result in 2027 ranking as the hottest year on record.
So it should be an interesting weather time coming up
with this El Nino. If you have any Halloween chocolatey

(01:28:35):
eyeballs made by Crystal Temptations, they're being recalled in Ohio
and 12 other states. because the packaging does not list
milk as an allergen, which is required by the FDA.
The eyeballs were sold at Marshalls, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, and
Sierra Trading Post. And don't try to get a refund
from the store because none of them are offering a refund.

(01:28:57):
Scorpions have postponed their 2026 residency at Planet Hollywood in Vegas.
Live Nation announced the postponement due to unforeseen circumstances. They
are delaying it a full.

Speaker 6 (01:29:10):
Year to next September.

Speaker 4 (01:29:11):
Ticket sales.

Speaker 1 (01:29:13):
You've got to wonder if it's blue dot fever, you know?

Speaker 4 (01:29:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:29:18):
It's got to be.

Speaker 5 (01:29:19):
Really?

Speaker 4 (01:29:20):
I mean, well, where are they playing at?

Speaker 1 (01:29:24):
They're playing at PH Live at Planet Hollywood in Vegas.

Speaker 8 (01:29:28):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:29:29):
I have no idea what they sound like now.

Speaker 4 (01:29:30):
Right, exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:29:31):
I mean, I love the band.

Speaker 4 (01:29:32):
I'd love to see them if they sound good.

Speaker 9 (01:29:34):
A lot of times you hear about these residencies, and
it's like, yeah, you're going to fly to Vegas just
to go to this residency, and you'll play in some
other stuff around it.

Speaker 4 (01:29:43):
I mean, who's flying out to Vegas just to see
the Scorpions?

Speaker 6 (01:29:48):
Yeah, doesn't sound like enough.

Speaker 3 (01:29:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:29:50):
Yeah. All right, those are your three things.

Speaker 9 (01:29:54):
Uh, 50 hours and 52 minutes and 37 seconds. That's
how long away we are from Ohio State kicking off
their football season. We had Hall of Fame legend, Buckeye
Hall of Fame legend Jeff Logan in earlier to talk
about the season. Of course, Kent State, the first game,
going to be a win, but could be an interesting
season as you guys are number one. But we did
a lot of talking about not only NIL, but now

(01:30:16):
this possible new rule that, uh, Kids or athletes who
go to the NFL and get cut from the NFL
team trying to make their 53-player roster will then go
back to college for another year, which is totally strange.
NIL money has completely changed the game of college football. However,

(01:30:39):
did you hear what the Detroit Tigers did in Major
League Baseball?

Speaker 4 (01:30:44):
No. Major League Baseball is known.

Speaker 9 (01:30:47):
to start looking at prospects a little bit earlier than
most sports.

Speaker 4 (01:30:51):
Oh, yeah. They'll sign 16- and 17-year-olds.

Speaker 9 (01:30:55):
They'll draft players right out of high school who will
then still go to college, but they have a commitment
to the team they were drafted to. They go to
AAA or AA and work their way up or whatever.
The Detroit Tigers just gave a $ 4 million development deal
to a 12-year-old.

Speaker 2 (01:31:14):
Oh, my gosh. He's got to be from, like, South.

Speaker 4 (01:31:17):
From the DR. Dominican Republic. Yeah, yeah. From the Dominican Republic. Yeah.
Still at the age where he could play in the
Little League World Series.

Speaker 10 (01:31:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:31:25):
Now, I don't know if he is or not.

Speaker 9 (01:31:27):
If he is, he's going to pitch perfect games left
and right because at 12 years old, what would get
him $ 4 million?

Speaker 4 (01:31:35):
Well, that's the fact that he is already throwing 91
miles an hour.

Speaker 7 (01:31:37):
At 12?

Speaker 4 (01:31:38):
He has been.
Clocked between 91 and 93 miles an hour. That is unbelievable.

Speaker 9 (01:31:50):
I don't know if I necessarily agree with having a
12-year-old sign some paperwork. Now, obviously, I believe the parents
and probably even lawyers were involved.

Speaker 4 (01:31:59):
But still, 12 years old?

Speaker 2 (01:32:01):
Yeah, man.

Speaker 4 (01:32:02):
That's ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (01:32:05):
The Tigers are investing in their future. That's what they're doing.

Speaker 4 (01:32:09):
I mean, I wonder if in Eight years, we're going
to see this kid on the mound.

Speaker 2 (01:32:15):
Well, if they're spending that much, I certainly hope so.

Speaker 4 (01:32:18):
Yeah, but how many teams have thrown away money on
signings and the players are bust or whatever?

Speaker 2 (01:32:22):
Yeah, I mean, that's going to happen.

Speaker 3 (01:32:23):
Of course. Man.

Speaker 4 (01:32:26):
Well, 12 years old.

Speaker 2 (01:32:27):
I mean, how fast is he going to be pitching
in eight years?

Speaker 9 (01:32:31):
Well, I think this year or last year, we saw
the first 105-mile-an-hour fastball. It was like 105.2 or something
like that.

Speaker 4 (01:32:40):
So, yeah, that's about it.

Speaker 2 (01:32:44):
So how fast will he be pitching in eight years?

Speaker 4 (01:32:46):
Exactly. My gosh. How long?

Speaker 2 (01:32:49):
91 at 12 is nuts.

Speaker 9 (01:32:50):
I mean, Kerry just texted in and brought up a
good point. Tommy John surgery before 18. Like, you're going
to throw.

Speaker 4 (01:32:55):
Out your elbow, man.

Speaker 8 (01:32:57):
I'm sure they've got to be taking, like, really good
care of this kid.

Speaker 4 (01:33:01):
You would think so. Going to do the optimal. Because
he's still growing at 12.

Speaker 3 (01:33:05):
Yes, yes.

Speaker 4 (01:33:07):
He's not fully developed. That's insane. Anyways.

Speaker 2 (01:33:10):
Good luck.

Speaker 4 (01:33:11):
We'll see what happens. Now, let's see if we can
learn you something. Sit up and pay attention.

Speaker 9 (01:33:17):
Yeah, let's learn you some stuff on a Thursday morning.
Make you a little bit smarter than you were when
you woke up today. Like, did you know the single
One Week by Barenaked Ladies?

Speaker 4 (01:33:28):
Yeah. One week since you looked at me.

Speaker 2 (01:33:30):
American Pie.

Speaker 4 (01:33:31):
Yeah. It was the number one song on the Billboard
charts in 1998. Mm-hmm. For exactly one week.

Speaker 2 (01:33:38):
Ha ha.

Speaker 9 (01:33:39):
Not only that, it was the only Barenaked Ladies song
that ever hit number one.

Speaker 4 (01:33:44):
It was one week.

Speaker 2 (01:33:45):
Did they do If I Had a Million Dollars?

Speaker 3 (01:33:47):
Uh-huh.

Speaker 2 (01:33:48):
That one didn't hit. I thought that was it.

Speaker 10 (01:33:49):
No?

Speaker 4 (01:33:51):
I would buy you a monkey? Yep.

Speaker 9 (01:33:54):
If you ride on a float in the Mardi Gras
parade in New Orleans, you are legally required to.

Speaker 2 (01:33:59):
If you ride on a float in the Mardi Gras.

Speaker 4 (01:34:04):
You are legally required to... Wear beads? No.

Speaker 2 (01:34:08):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:34:09):
Drink? No. Wear something.

Speaker 2 (01:34:12):
Just be clothed?

Speaker 4 (01:34:14):
No, you have to wear a mask. You have to
have a carnival mask of some sort.

Speaker 2 (01:34:17):
Oh, okay.

Speaker 4 (01:34:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (01:34:20):
Caterpillars have about 4,000 muscles in their body.

Speaker 4 (01:34:23):
Wow. Humans only have about 650. Wow.

Speaker 9 (01:34:24):
They got a lot of muscles. Did you know that
there's a difference between a coffin and a casket?

Speaker 4 (01:34:32):
A coffin is a hexagon. It has six sides. A
casket is rectangular with four sides.

Speaker 7 (01:34:39):
Oh, okay.

Speaker 9 (01:34:39):
Because it's got that little up at the top there.

Speaker 2 (01:34:43):
The Dracula casket.

Speaker 4 (01:34:44):
Yes, exactly.

Speaker 9 (01:34:46):
And finally, the average American uses 141 rolls of toilet
paper every year, making.

Speaker 4 (01:34:55):
Us number one for number twos.

Speaker 9 (01:34:58):
Germans are second, using an average of 134 rolls annually.
That number would be 146 rolls annually, but Thick only
uses about three rolls total annually.

Speaker 8 (01:35:11):
Yeah, as soon as you said we were going to
talk about toilet paper, Aaron Thomas texted in and said,
Toilet paper takes more than four squares to wipe your,
you know.

Speaker 4 (01:35:21):
Hey, Aaron, we all agree with you. We all know
that Thick has poopalm.

Speaker 8 (01:35:24):
Okay, so just to be clear on it, maybe you're confused. Yes,
it takes more than four squares. I just only use
four squares at a time.

Speaker 4 (01:35:34):
Yeah, also not acceptable.

Speaker 2 (01:35:35):
Okay, well, you're crazy. People have done this for decades.

Speaker 4 (01:35:39):
Yeah, using up more than four squares.

Speaker 2 (01:35:42):
No, I'm saying people have used four at a time
for decades.

Speaker 4 (01:35:45):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:35:45):
Yes, yes. I know plenty of people who do.

Speaker 4 (01:35:49):
You've asked people.

Speaker 7 (01:35:50):
Well, no.

Speaker 8 (01:35:51):
This discussion has happened so many times on this show.
People have asked me or we've talked.

Speaker 2 (01:35:55):
People have come up and said stuff to me about it,
just like Aaron just did.

Speaker 4 (01:36:00):
Yeah, but he just says it takes more than four
squares to wipe.

Speaker 2 (01:36:04):
Yes, it does, but only four at a time.

Speaker 4 (01:36:06):
Okay, Pooh Palm. That's you learning some stuff on a
Thursday morning night at some of the woods.
