Speaker 1 (00:18):
Another hot day today, high of 94, muggy, possible rain
a little bit later. Sorry, I was just bitching and
moaning over here. We're going to get into this a
little bit later. Wedding fatigue has finally hit. I'm ready
to get married and get it over with. We're two
days away. I'm just sick of all the little things.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
It's a lot.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
We had to sit there and we had to adhere.
Not my idea, Nora's. little matchbooks that a lot of
people give away.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
Little match sticks, whatever. But we ordered the matchbooks, but
then she ordered little stickers to put on them that
look like tape. So when you pick up the matchbook,
it looks like an old school tape with our name
and our date on it. So we had to sit there.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
And add here all the stickers.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
Like a cassette tape.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
Add here all the stickers. And then we're not doing
a guest book. We've got four vinyls, four records that
are going to be laid out. We've got the special
silver markers. That's going to be our guest book. And
we're going to frame the... But she ordered new labels
for the records. It's a picture of a little goose
and a little bunny, and they say, I do, and
it's got the date. So we had to put all
(01:26):
those on the records. And we had to do this.
Speaker 5 (01:29):
Can we just get it over with, please?
Speaker 6 (01:32):
Oh, my God.
Speaker 4 (01:33):
You've had the most simple wedding prep of anybody I've
ever known.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
100%.
Speaker 5 (01:37):
100%.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
And I'm still effing over it. I'm still done.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
It's like even though you try to simplify, there are
a ton of details that go into a wedding, no
matter how simple you try to make it.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Even for a nothing wedding. Yeah, exactly. Even for a
little throwing.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
And it really isn't a nothing wedding. I mean, it's
a huge deal. So you want everything to be right.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
And you can pare it down as much as you want,
but it gets tiring.
Speaker 5 (01:59):
It does.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
And I'm also over talking about it. Can we just
do it already? Just do it already. Anyways, we'll talk
about that a little bit later because something did come
up I want to cover. We'll talk about that about 740.
Speaking of guests at a wedding. So we'll get into that.
How are you this morning, Kelly?
Speaker 2 (02:17):
I'm fine. I am enraged.
Speaker 6 (02:20):
So am I.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
I forgot to tell you something. Go ahead.
Speaker 5 (02:22):
Why are you enraged?
Speaker 2 (02:23):
I'm enraged over the Netflix documentary, Death of a Pastor's Wife.
I can't stop thinking about it. And I was aware
of the whole situation back when it happened two years ago.
But they've made a documentary about it. This pastor in
Myrtle Beach and his wife, who he thoroughly and heinously
(02:43):
abused in every way possible. She took her own life
and he has gotten away scot-free and is still preaching.
It is so enraging that I am like, it's giving
me anxiety. Is that crazy? I don't know these people.
Speaker 5 (02:58):
Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
But you know, you also have a remote control.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
I know. I couldn't stop myself. And then after I
got done, it's three episodes. I got done and went
on TikTok. I'm like, tell me everything. Tell me everything.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
Why do you do this to yourself?
Speaker 2 (03:12):
I don't know. So I'm separating myself from it today.
That's it. I got to get a great, good, lovely,
celebratory headspace.
Speaker 5 (03:20):
Yeah, you need to go watch Bluey or something. Something.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
Put a smile on your face.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
Oh, my God.
Speaker 5 (03:27):
Man.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
I know. I don't like to get myself in deep
like that, but oh.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
Let me tell you why I'm enraged.
Speaker 5 (03:33):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Because it seems like. the concert gods really just want
to steal my joy.
Speaker 7 (03:39):
Oh, no.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
Because it looks like I'm never going to get to
see Lionel Richie.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
I know.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
In fact, Lionel Richie may be the next celebrity to die. Now,
it seems like everything's fine. I have a feeling he's
going to cancel the tour. Because I guess he's getting
tested for, like, heart problems.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Because now for a second time, he had to... Well,
he didn't cut it so short, but he did ask
for a chair to sit down. He had to sit
down to sing all night long. Well, you're not partying
all night long if you have to grab a chair by.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
9.30, man.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Then he was in, like, the ICU.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Yeah, he went to the hospital right after the show.
They put him in ICU to check on him.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Looks like he's going to be released today. But, again,
checking out, like, heart condition stuff.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
So you still have your tickets. You didn't get a refund.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
Not yet. Well, because they rescheduled the show for October.
So it's already been rescheduled, but I don't know if
it's going to happen. So, kind of a bummer. That's
why I'm enraged.
Speaker 5 (04:28):
Dang.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Well, and Thick's enraged because he looked at rush tickets
in Cincinnati and the cheapest that he could find resale
were like, what was it, $ 1, 500 or something?
Speaker 5 (04:36):
$ 2, 500. $ 2, 500, yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
Yeah, that's... Can you believe that?
Speaker 6 (04:40):
Yeah, I'm not going.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
What did you say? They sold out and they announced
the show and then sold out in no time.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
Less than 24 hours later, I guess they... I didn't
even know they went on sale. I thought they were
just announcing.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
I think they announced and went on sale.
Speaker 7 (04:52):
The same day.
Speaker 5 (04:53):
Why did they do that? Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
I mean, if the tour is that big, you know
people are going to jump on tickets for sure. All right, well,
let's get going on a Wednesday. We've got a lot
of stuff to talk about. We've got more tickets for
Bill Murray. If you want to see that show coming
up Friday, September 18th, we'll get you hooked up with
that a little bit later. Right now with Blitz Morning Trivia.
Speaker 4 (05:14):
All right, $ 25 up for grabs, waterbeds and stuff if
you're the first one to text in the correct answer.
A high school football team was in town, and allegedly
they went into the Grove City Dicks Sporting Goods and
stole $ 4, 500 worth of merchandise.
Speaker 5 (05:29):
Oh.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
They were in town to play another high school football team.
And this is the craziest story, man. Who is the
high school football team that came into town and ripped
off Dicks?
Speaker 6 (05:40):
First one to text it in at 800-821-9970, you get
the gift card.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
All right, let's get that answer for Blitz Morning Trivia.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
All right, the question was, what high school football team
came to town to play a game, and they ended
up going into Dick's Sporting Goods in Grove City and
allegedly stealing $ 4, 500 worth of merchandise? And that would be
Cleveland Glenville High School. They were in town to play
Olentangy Liberty. And according to Fox 8 in Cleveland, police
(06:07):
responded to a Springtown Road location after learning of a theft.
Dick's staff told them that 15 to 20 juveniles came
into the store, took $ 4, 500 worth of merchandise, and they
were identified by employees as members of the Glenville football team.
Police spoke with the team coaches who were staying at
a nearby hotel. They quickly cooperated with the investigation and
(06:29):
returned some of the merchandise to the store.
Speaker 6 (06:32):
So I guess it's not alleged if they had the merchandise.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Yeah, and some of the merchandise? Where's the rest of
the merchandise?
Speaker 5 (06:37):
Right.
Speaker 6 (06:38):
And then, but here's the interesting part.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
After all this happened, Glenville went on to beat Liberty
34-13 on August 29th in Powell.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
With those 15-20 members playing on the team?
Speaker 4 (06:49):
It says it's unclear whether anyone was arrested or charged
regarding the theft incident.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
Because they can't play anymore.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
You can't let them get away with that.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
No.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
They're off the team for sure.
Speaker 6 (07:01):
Yeah. I mean, you would think. I don't know if
they played.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
If not prosecuted. I mean, they know what's going on.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
Man.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
All right.
Speaker 6 (07:08):
So it's bizarre.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
Maybe the coaches weren't able to know which 15 to
20 it was.
Speaker 6 (07:15):
I don't know. But Bo Wilson from Grove City, probably why.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
He knew, was the first one to text it in
and got the 25 bucks to waterbed this year.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
I feel Ted Ginn Sr. would not let them get
away with that.
Speaker 6 (07:26):
I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
He runs a tight ship, doesn't he?
Speaker 1 (07:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (07:29):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
Yeah, I mean, I don't know. Even if there's, like,
you can't. Oh, yeah. Anyways, I came across an article
that was kind of in all capital letters, being that
we all obviously were here when the Internet started blowing
(07:51):
up and then viral videos became a thing. And this
was in all capitals saying 23 years ago today. So
we're talking September 2nd of 2003. I guess there was
a video that absolutely just blew up. It's an animated video.
I'm going to play you the audio, Kelly. And I
(08:12):
want to know if you remember about this Once Upon
a Time on the Internet.
Speaker 6 (08:17):
Okay.
Speaker 8 (08:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
Take a listen to this.
Speaker 3 (08:19):
No.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
I can confidently say I do not remember that.
Speaker 5 (08:35):
I don't either.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
I thought you.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
Were going to go peanut butter jelly time.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
Right.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
We had peanut butter jelly time.
Speaker 5 (08:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
Or the hamsters, the singing. A snake.
Speaker 5 (08:44):
What is that?
Speaker 1 (08:44):
It's a video of a field. And there's a bunch
of cartoon badgers. And they're saying, badger, badger, badger, badger.
And these badgers are, like, bouncing up and down. And
then every so often, it cuts to a picture of
a cartoon mushroom. And it goes, mushroom, mushroom, badger, badger, badger, badger, badger, mushroom.
(09:05):
And then at the very end, a little cartoon snake
comes along. And they're like, it's a snake. And everyone's blown.
They're like, 23 years ago, we had badger, badger, badger.
I'm like, I don't remember badger, badger, badger. Huh.
Speaker 6 (09:18):
Sounds like something that would be fun for somebody on mushrooms.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
Absolutely.
Speaker 6 (09:21):
But again.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
It would be a mushroom community. That went viral within
a certain community.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
With a small little group, yeah. Had its own little
niche little group of fans. But again, we had peanut
butter jelly time.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
We had the... The hamster dance.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
The hamster dance, yeah. We had chocolate rain. But I
don't remember... Badger, badger, badger. So I wanted to make
sure I wasn't the, oh, Tim texts in. Ah, snake.
So Tim must remember this video. It was just past
my viral video time. I don't know because I do
not remember this video whatsoever and I wanted to make
(09:58):
sure I wasn't the only one and neither of you
remember it.
Speaker 8 (09:59):
No.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
No clue.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
Good to know that I am not that uncool, that
I didn't know what Badger, Badger, Badger was.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
Oh, there we go. This is up my alley. Oh,
the remix.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Or Crazy Frog. Crazy Frog, yeah. That was another one
that we had. Anyways, all right. Tim texted in. I
love that video. Badger, badger, badger.
Speaker 5 (10:27):
Okay, Tim.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
Well, are you a fan of the Shrooms, Tim? Because
apparently that was the group they were going for. I'm
so glad that I'm not the only one.
Speaker 8 (10:39):
Not so breaking news. The news already broke. We're trying
to put it back together.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
Our first story takes us over to California, where police
were called to a supermarket because they had reports of
a disturbance there. Apparently... there was a suspicious man shortly
after 3.30 who was caught kneeling down in aisles, but
(11:12):
not really shopping. And he was seen kneeling down in
multiple aisles on multiple occasions. Police showed up. However, by
the time the police showed up, the man was already gone.
And as they were wrapping up, getting information and statements
from people at the grocery store. Those same police got
(11:32):
a call from a disturbance at a Barnes and Noble,
which was about a half mile down the street.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
Oh, no.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
And for some reason, this call was, we've got this
strange man inside our store. He's been roaming around, but
he's been up and down the aisles, and he's been
kneeling down in weird positions throughout the store. So the
police make their way down to the Barnes & Noble. Now,
(12:00):
if we may, for just a moment, take a quick
trip back in time. It was about a month ago
that we reported on a story about a gentleman. If
we may, then jump in the time machine and take
another further trip, a little further back in time. It
(12:21):
was about six months ago that we reported on a
story about a Weird man kneeling down in grocery stores.
If we may take another trip in the time machine,
Bill and Ted style, about another six months back, we
had reports of a man who was found kneeling down
in grocery stores a little too close to the female
(12:42):
body because, yes, the serial butt sniffer is back.
Speaker 5 (12:46):
No way.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
Yes. Yes.
Speaker 6 (12:50):
Why is he not?
Speaker 1 (12:51):
Mr. Kels Crowder. has been caught yet again in California
as the serial butt sniffer caught trying to kneel down
in the proximity of women who are shopping at grocery stores,
at bookstores, and trying to catch himself a whiff. He
(13:15):
was arrested yet again. He's already a registered sex offender.
He's already spent time behind bars. So... What do you
do in this case? I mean, do you lock him
up for an extended period of time? The man obviously... Yeah.
(13:35):
He's addicted to butt-sniffing.
Speaker 6 (13:36):
Or he identifies as a dog.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
Or identifies as a dog. One of the two. Yes,
he was arrested yet again. He had already left the
Barnes & Noble. But he was located later at a
nearby Walmart, apparently getting ready to butt-sniff yet again. And so... Yeah,
people don't, the police don't know what to do. Are
you going to spend the dollars and lock him up
(14:00):
for an extended period of time? Do you put him
in a ward to try and get over his serial
butt sniffing?
Speaker 2 (14:06):
There was a guy here in central Ohio, and this
has been quite a while ago. He was arrested multiple
times for collecting urine in public restrooms of other people. And,
I mean, multiple times because what do you do, I guess...
you figure out some charges and then obviously you've got
(14:27):
to do something. This man's been arrested and then finally
was arrested again in 2020 for, I think, child.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
Oh, well, yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
But, uh, but before that, it's like, you know, they
do continue to offend.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
Yes. And what, what transport of public waste? Like, what
are you going.
Speaker 6 (14:43):
To charge him? What's the crime?
Speaker 1 (14:45):
He decided to scoop up some pee pee. Like, what
do you do there?
Speaker 5 (14:49):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
That's, Yeah, again, he's not touching the women. So, and
I'm not excusing his behavior, but what do you do?
Speaker 6 (15:00):
Oh, the butt sniffer?
Speaker 2 (15:01):
Criminal mischief?
Speaker 6 (15:02):
Well, if he identifies as a dog, maybe you have
him neutered.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
Could do that. Story number two takes us to the U.S. military.
You know, there's a lot of things happening right now,
and as technology advances, there are new ways for our
enemies to attack us. There's new ways for us to
attack our enemies.
Speaker 5 (15:20):
This one.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
Could be quite genius, actually, because there are different ways
to attack your enemy. You can obviously go just full
force if you're going to launch missiles at them, if
you're going to put boots on the ground. Now in
today's world, you can cyber attack. There have been talks
of biochemical weapons to attack them, like through science, basically. Well,
(15:46):
now you can attack their... energy levels, I guess, because
there was just a report that came out that more
than a dozen military installations were just attacked. What happened
was the commissary fridges, the giant fridges they use on
(16:07):
the military bases at over a dozen locations were Overnight,
out of nowhere, all went into defrost mode. It destroyed
most of their food supply.
Speaker 6 (16:24):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
At least most of the important stuff. The meat and
the protein and things like that.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
Classic art of war. Attack where the enemy is not.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
Right.
Speaker 6 (16:32):
Are these like smart fridges? Is that the deal?
Speaker 1 (16:34):
So here's the problem. A while ago, I guess, a
lot of these military installations started using these smart fridges
for a couple reasons. These smart fridges have ways of
keeping track of the food you use so it can
automatically be reordered and restored. It can set up things
like Do you have what you need to make certain recipes?
(16:56):
And the other thing is it can start the process
like maybe defrosting frozen meat or something so it's ready
for the morning and they can do it all through technology.
And I guess the commercial refrigeration units they have now
are all connected to a central unit. So you've got
more than a dozen of these refrigeration units all connected
(17:18):
through the World Wide Web into one central location. Now,
The military did come out. The Defense Department did do
an interview with Military Times, the reporting arm of the military,
and said there was a possible refrigeration disruption at some
defense commissary agencies. It would be inappropriate to speculate as
(17:39):
to the cause of the outages. So it's not necessarily
some sort of, you know, hack attack. But at the
same time, you've got more than a dozen of these
that all start defrost mode at the same time.
Speaker 8 (17:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
That's a way to attack your enemies. you diminish their
food supply, that's going to put a hurtin' on some soldiers. So,
I don't know. Whatever happened did happen. We just don't
know exactly what happened yet. But keep that in the
back of your mind. That's your now-so-breaking news, 99.7 The Blitz.
All right, here's a question from the World Wide Web,
(18:16):
and I don't want to sound a little too full
of myself. Shocker.
Speaker 5 (18:22):
But.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
I will. And this is confirmed through a few people.
And I've had a couple of girlfriends, including my soon-to-be wife, Nora,
say this before. And it's something that has kind of
aggravated them. And the truth of the matter is, and
I know I'm not the only one like this, the
truth of the matter is, if I try something, I'm
(18:44):
usually pretty good at it. I pick up on things
pretty quickly. I would say that's a green flag for me.
Speaker 6 (18:50):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (18:50):
I can pick up on things pretty quickly.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
But someone asked the Internet, what's a skill almost everyone
thinks they're good at until they meet someone who's actually
great at it? Because we all kind of have it
in the back of their head. They're like, yeah, I'm
pretty good at that. But then you meet someone who's
really good at it, and you're like, oh, maybe not
so much.
Speaker 6 (19:11):
Like I thought I was good at cooking, and then
I met you.
Speaker 1 (19:15):
I take that as a compliment, thank you, but okay,
that could be one. Number one on the list was fighting.
A lot of guys think they can fight. Until you
meet someone who can really fight, and then you're like, okay, yeah,
maybe I'm not that great of a fighter. I'll say
this one. This one's a little more niche, but storytelling.
(19:36):
And I take that from my background in loving stand-up
comedy and doing stand-up comedy. I've had somewhat success. I mean,
I've been paid for my work. I've done a little
bit of traveling on my stand-up comedy. But then I
watch some or I meet some and I'm like, oh, man,
I'm never touching a microphone again.
Speaker 5 (19:55):
There's no way.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
Because they're just that good at the storytelling. And not
only the storytelling aspect, but the writing aspect to tell
a good story. Can you think of one, Kelly, that
a lot of people think they're good at?
Speaker 5 (20:06):
Yes. Driving.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
Driving. Number three on the list.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Everybody thinks they're a great driver and everyone else is
the dummy.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (20:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
One hundred percent. Thank you. Think of one.
Speaker 6 (20:17):
Oh, my gosh. I'm trying to think.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
OK, well, here's one. And this is a big one.
Anything that's played casually. So you're talking like your bar games,
cornhole darts, bowling, things like that. They're like, yeah, I'm
pretty good at that. Until you meet someone who's really
good at it, and you're like, okay, wait, I'm not
(20:44):
so good at that. I mean, I'm okay, but by
no means am I great.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
I love it when people say that they trust their gut,
and they're like the worst people you've ever met. I'm like, yeah,
you better try a new strategy.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
You're not so good at trusting your gut, or at
least your gut's not good.
Speaker 5 (21:01):
Something's wrong with your gut.
Speaker 6 (21:05):
I was going to say, how about everybody's got their
phones now. Everybody's like a professional photographer now.
Speaker 5 (21:09):
Yes, 100%. Oh, that's a good one.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
That is on the list. Everyone thinks they're a great
photographer until you meet someone who really knows about photography.
And you're like, oh, yeah, my pictures are pretty mediocre, actually.
Speaker 5 (21:22):
And you get.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
The lighting right or the angle right or the sunlight
hits just right. Another one, acting.
Speaker 5 (21:29):
Acting.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
A lot of people think they're good at acting, but
to really come off as natural is not easy.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
No, that is a skill.
Speaker 1 (21:38):
And if you watch any sort of like, because I
remember watching some shows on the, you know, on Tubi
or some of the deeper cable stations, and you're like, Oh,
I'm packing up and moving to L.A. because apparently anyone
can get a job on a show or something.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
But to be really good at it, to be really
natural is not easy. You got another one, Thick?
Speaker 6 (22:04):
I was thinking maybe video games.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
Oh, okay. That's not on the list. But, yeah, if
you think you're pretty good at a video game. Because
you've played competitively in some of these games.
Speaker 6 (22:15):
A lot of people thought they were really good at
Madden until they ran into me.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
Right, exactly. When you really start breaking it down, especially
with some of these sports games, or these first-person shooters,
these Fortnite, or these Call of Duties. And you're watching people.
I'll watch the boys, because the boys are at the
level where they watch other people play video games online.
Speaker 8 (22:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
And watching some of it, you're like, what?
Speaker 3 (22:36):
Right.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
How?
Speaker 4 (22:37):
Yeah, because I've watched like Rocket League World Championship online.
Speaker 5 (22:42):
I'm like, this.
Speaker 6 (22:43):
Is like they're cheating.
Speaker 5 (22:44):
They have to be cheating.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
Yeah, you got some built-in double trigger or something rather.
Speaker 6 (22:48):
What the hell?
Speaker 1 (22:49):
Not happening.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
Ashley has a good one. She says karaoke.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
Oh, yeah. Oh, yes.
Speaker 6 (22:54):
That's a great one.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
You think you're good at karaoke until you meet a
real singer. You just think you can sing karaoke.
Speaker 5 (22:59):
Right.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
That is a good one. Another one, doing makeup. Like,
as a woman, you learn how to do makeup, I'm sure,
and then you find, you know, the makeup you like
or what works with your skin tone. But to be
really good at makeup, you jump on TikTok sometimes and
you're like, okay, that's not even the same person. And
(23:21):
you've got some, you see some of these women and,
you know, I'm not talking anything bad about them, but
you see some of the women that have no teeth.
That are very puffy or blotchy. And they come out
looking like supermodels.
Speaker 8 (23:37):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
And you're like, that is just what? Completely unbelievable. Let's see.
We got some text rolling in.
Speaker 5 (23:44):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
Singing. Oh, Cody says chess. That could be a good one.
Speaker 5 (23:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
You know how to play chess. You know a couple
strategies or a couple of the, you know, some of
those moves. Actually, it's the.
Speaker 5 (23:57):
Dungar Kruger move or whatever it is.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Yeah. But then you meet someone who's really good at
it for sure. Uh, Tim says consumption of drugs and alcohol.
Speaker 8 (24:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (24:07):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
You've got some people who can be like, yeah, I
can handle my drink. No, no, you can't. No, you
can't at all. Uh, Oh, I agree with you. Ping pong.
Carrie says ping pong. The guys that go or the
girls that go and they go to these little clubs
or maybe you got a ping pong table in your
basement and Then you meet someone who's really good at
ping pong.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
I think I could be good at ping pong. Not
like the crazy Forrest Gump ping pong, but actually be
good at it if I worked at it for just
a little bit.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
You think you can get a rally going back and forth?
Speaker 5 (24:39):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
I will happily play with you because I love playing
ping pong. Uh-oh. I do.
Speaker 5 (24:44):
Okay.
Speaker 8 (24:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
And again, I can put a little spin on the ball,
but by no means. I would say a chunk of
the time I go to put the spin on the
ball and I weigh over him. So I can do it.
It's a little inconsistent, you know.
Speaker 6 (24:58):
Anthony said poker or card games.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Yes, 100%. You meet a pro. Yes, you meet a
pro playing poker, you're out of money in moments, without
a doubt.
Speaker 6 (25:09):
Oh, 6674 said fishing. I agree with that one.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
Some people think they're good at fishing, but there's a
little more nuance to it. Okay. 800-821-9970 if you've got one.
And now, the three things you need to know before
you go. Yes.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
Worthington City School District is ending its contract with Flock
Safety a year early. Flock license plate cameras are being
used at the main entrances to Thomas Worthington High School,
Worthington Kilbourne High School, Linworth Experiential Program, and the Worthington Academy.
The district says it only collected license plate data and
kept the information internally. Flock is expected to remove those
(25:46):
cameras in the next few weeks. The district says it
will be installing extra security cameras to cover the entrances
and exits that were previously monitored. by flock cameras. You
might have been better off with the flock cameras just
getting the license plates because now they're getting everything.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
Now they're getting everything right.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
But I don't know. You know, you got to worry
about school safety.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
You do.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
So it's, yeah, I don't know. The USS Abraham Lincoln
is now docked in Thailand. Oh, can you imagine the
feeling of walking, walking the plank?
Speaker 8 (26:15):
No.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
Those poor Thai women.
Speaker 5 (26:16):
Disembarking.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
Yeah, those poor Thai women.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
Yeah, so it is making its way back to its
home port in San Diego, but has docked in Thailand
after many, many days at sea without a break. 270
consecutive days at sea without a standard port visit. The
Lincoln was recently relieved in the Middle East by the
USS George Washington. Jim Thornton, the longtime voice of Wheel
of Fortune, has been suspended from the show, and Sony
(26:43):
is looking for his replacement while it conducts a thorough
investigation into allegations made against him. Either you want to
take a crack at it?
Speaker 1 (26:51):
Well, I heard that it was an instance on an
American Airlines plane.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
I just wanted you to audition.
Speaker 5 (26:56):
Good job.
Speaker 6 (26:56):
Take the job. I don't have the pipes.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
You do, Goose. Wheel of Fortune. And now, here's your host,
Ryan Seacrest.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
Okay, I like it.
Speaker 7 (27:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (27:18):
It's not at 7 a.m., you know.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
Yeah, no. You need the voice to be warmed up
for a while. Yeah, warmed up a little bit, yeah.
And then I know me, because I would just... Vanna,
why don't you come over here and spin my letter?
Speaker 2 (27:33):
Oh, you'd be investigated your first day on the job.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
First day.
Speaker 5 (27:36):
Suspended.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
Pending investigation.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
Vanna, I got a letter for you. Ew. D. Yeah.
Come touch my D. Watch it light up.
Speaker 2 (27:48):
Oh, my gosh.
Speaker 5 (27:50):
Stop.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
It's Vanna. She's America's sweetheart.
Speaker 5 (27:52):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
Yes, you are right, though. Was some kind of incident
on the American Airlines flight back in May. Apparently, another
passenger made some kind of complaint. Pilot radioed ahead, said
we need law enforcement. They did question... jim thornton for
about five minutes apparently and then let him go no
charges so i'm not exactly sure what the complaint was
(28:18):
isn't he like.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
107 anyways i know that's the jeopardy guy yeah the
jeopardy announcer is like 107 years old okay yeah.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
This guy is not that old but i don't know
uh we'll see what happens uh i really need more
details though what'd you do on that flight huh those
are your three things.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
All right, I don't want to be all doom and gloom,
but I think we can all admit it's not perfect
out there right now. All in all, most people are
kind of going through stuff. Well, every day, all day,
people are going through stuff. We get it. But if
there's other things outside influences just adding on to the pressure.
(28:59):
I saw someone post on Facebook. They posted two pictures
of their bill from, I believe, AEP. And it was
127 kilowatt hours used. And their bill was like $ 112.
And then they showed the next bill. I think it
was like six months later or something. And it was
121 kilowatt hours used, $ 207. And you're like, wait a minute.
(29:24):
What's going on here? Food recalls left and right. What's
safe to buy? What's not safe to buy? Just things
are happening. Well, one of the most beloved characters we
all know of. Big Bird was on. the world wide
web the other day and of course we all love
Big Bird from Sesame Street I mean we all grew
(29:46):
up on Big Bird learning how to count learning our
alphabet learning how to treat each other learning how to
share so Big Bird came out and he just very
simply asked How's everyone doing today? Well, I think he
got some responses he was not expecting. Oh, no. Because
(30:09):
you think that if Big Bird is asking, people are
going to come out and be like, Hi.
Speaker 5 (30:13):
Big Bird.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
Everything's great. I love you. Big, Big Bird hug. That
is not what happened. Whatsoever. Someone said, not great, Big Bird.
Lots of great people passing away as of late. I
feel like it's a real downer. Someone else said, not good, Mr.
Speaker 5 (30:34):
Bird.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
This week's been kind of mental for multiple reasons. Someone
else said, not too good. I'm not sure what to
eat without getting sick. And then someone else said, In
all caps, BIG BIRD, STAY INSIDE! DEATH MIGHT COME FOR
YOU TOO! WE CAN'T LOSE BIG BIRD! Yeah, that was
(30:59):
not the response that Big Bird was expecting, I don't think.
When you're just trying to lift people's spirits. Hi, kid! Yeah, right, exactly.
And then all of a sudden.
Speaker 5 (31:10):
It's bleak, Big Bird!
Speaker 1 (31:11):
It is so gray out here! Stay inside, Big Bird!
We can't lose you too! I get it I'm waiting
because I like I see we were talking about this
earlier I'm I'm I'm a little concerned because one about
not being able to use my six row seats for
the show but I'm just concerned for Lionel Richie in
general back in the ICU again like they're starting to
(31:36):
drop out there and it's getting a little it's getting
a little concerned I'm not gonna lie so you know
if you want to chat with Big Bird his post
is still up you can tell him how you're feeling
one way or the other It's.
Speaker 2 (31:49):
Like trauma dump on Big Bird.
Speaker 1 (31:50):
But you know what? Maybe that is the reason he
did it, was for people to just vent and get
something off your chest, which does help sometimes if you
just kind of talk it out. But I'm not exactly
sure that's what he was going for. That's my guess.
It's a Wednesday, which means we've got to visit Festhole,
(32:11):
where people jump online and admit things they've done. You
can do the same if you want to, anonymously, 800-821-9970,
like this person admits. My new boyfriend uses pizza base,
like a pizza crust, with no toppings, to scoop up
split pea soup, like using naan to scoop up curry,
(32:32):
if you're at an Indian restaurant. I ought to leave him,
but I'm fascinated by how much deeper this horror might go.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
I don't have any problem with that. It actually sounds good.
I like split pea soup, and I do love a bread.
Speaker 1 (32:45):
I'm with you.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
Give me a pizza crust.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
I love a bread. Pizza crust is a little weird,
but the split pea soup. My mom used to make it.
I'd walk in, and that ham bone would be stewing.
Speaker 2 (32:58):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
And then, oh.
Speaker 5 (33:01):
Oh, mom.
Speaker 6 (33:02):
It's got a smell, man.
Speaker 5 (33:03):
It does.
Speaker 1 (33:04):
It has got a horrible, horrible smell. I think I
would rather smell discharge of some sort.
Speaker 2 (33:13):
I just took a drink of my smoothie. Come on.
I can't. I stop.
Speaker 5 (33:26):
I didn't say from where.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
Where does everybody's mind go? I don't know.
Speaker 6 (33:36):
Stop that.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
You're killing us. My bad. My parents had a cat
mint bush in their garden, which attracted lots of bees.
I would catch several of them in matchboxes and release
them in the classroom during the very boring Friday double
math period. I would then sit back and enjoy the
(33:59):
ensuing havoc and screams of horror. That's evil. But I'll
tell you what, I'd be the same way. I don't
like bees. I don't like math. If there's one around,
I'm going full craze. This person admits, I'm in an
unspoken competition with my significant other to get the last
(34:19):
bit of toothpaste out of the tube. If I can't
get any more out, I secretly start the next tube
and put it back in the box so she doesn't realize.
That's something you would do, you cheater. Well, yeah.
Speaker 2 (34:31):
Maybe.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
No. This person admits, I genuinely thought the chorus of
Enter Sandman was excellent Enter Night. To be fair, it
was 1991 and everyone spoke like Ninja Turtles or Wayne's World,
so it makes sense.
Speaker 2 (34:49):
Excellent. Excellent. I like that.
Speaker 1 (34:54):
Internet. This person admits, I work in a children's nursery.
The easiest job to be in when you want to
get away with a fart. Hilariously watching someone acknowledge the
smell and rally all the napping children to see which
one of them pooped themselves. I often wonder if any
of my colleagues do the same. Blame it on the baby.
(35:18):
And finally, this person admits, this is so going in
my back pocket and I hope and I pray and
I cross my fingers I get to use this on
some day. A woman was rude to me on the
train today, so I googled the book she was reading
while we were on the train, and as I was leaving,
(35:38):
I told her who the murderer was.
Speaker 5 (35:40):
Oh!
Speaker 1 (35:43):
Genius!
Speaker 2 (35:44):
That is cold!
Speaker 1 (35:46):
Oh, I love that so much. Oh, I hope someone
is rude to me on a train or a plane. Yeah.
Because I would do that in a heartbeat. Looking to
kill some time. Go visit Fessel today. I got some really,
really good news. And that is, in about 24 hours,
(36:07):
you'll never have to hear about the wedding again. I'm
so sick of it as a whole. Just want to
get married.
Speaker 6 (36:13):
Are we going to talk about it afterward?
Speaker 5 (36:14):
Okay, fine.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
Tuesday we might do like a little.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
I want to hear all about it.
Speaker 5 (36:19):
I do. I'm interested.
Speaker 2 (36:21):
It's a humongous deal in a human being's life.
Speaker 5 (36:24):
To get married.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
I hit my threshold last night as we were doing
our practice... walk through of the ceremony the the seven
minute ceremony that we're gonna have but the boys are
the only ones walking with us we don't have wedding
parties or anything like that so we just did it
in our living room because our living room is long
enough where it kind of uh simulates the where we're
you know the where we're getting married so what'd you
(36:46):
eat at the rehearsal dinner uh cheese bacon cheese burgers
and fries.
Speaker 6 (36:49):
Oh that's good there we go.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
Yep uh so we did the walking because you know
you're gonna stand by me you're gonna stand by me
And then you hold this ring and you do this ring.
And can I tell you how difficult it was to
get a 14-year-old, a 17-year-old, and a 39-year-old to understand
who holds what ring? So do I hold this ring?
If I hold this ring, then you have to pass
(37:11):
it across. No!
Speaker 5 (37:12):
Listen!
Speaker 3 (37:12):
No!
Speaker 1 (37:15):
He's holding your ring, so he hands it to me,
and I put it on your finger, and he's holding
my ring, so you get it from him and put
it on my finger. That took like 17 minutes.
Speaker 2 (37:22):
I'm glad you worked it out. This could have been
very confusing on Friday.
Speaker 6 (37:28):
Oh, and it's still Mike.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
Can we have the rings? And all of a sudden,
all three of them are like... And I'm like, what
are you doing? Anyways... One conversation that did come up,
we were going over the final guest list, who's coming,
who's not coming, because it's open seating. We have small
family tables for a couple family members, but other than that,
(37:51):
it's open seating. But we were talking about the guest list.
Here's an interesting question. Should anyone who either the bride
or groom has slept with ever be at the wedding?
No matter what, it could have been an old college
friend and on a drunken... game night you know there
(38:12):
was a one night thing or I don't know what
if what if there's a young young child and the
ex is there to keep an eye you know to
watch the child.
Speaker 2 (38:25):
Okay it's like an ex-spouse.
Speaker 1 (38:27):
Right should there ever be a time where someone you
have been with in the biblical sense be at the wedding.
Speaker 2 (38:39):
I say no.
Speaker 1 (38:40):
You say no? Yeah.
Speaker 3 (38:42):
No.
Speaker 2 (38:43):
You shouldn't be there.
Speaker 5 (38:44):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (38:45):
But, I mean, I'm thinking if it was an ex-spouse. Like,
why do you want your ex-spouse there?
Speaker 1 (38:49):
No, you wouldn't. I'm sure grandma or grandpa or another
aunt or uncle could watch the baby. I don't know why.
I'm just throwing it out there.
Speaker 5 (38:56):
No, I know.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
I think that may be the only circumstance where I
could feel that there would still be enough of a
relationship that if it's turned the corner and things are okay...
that you would want it would be okay if they
were there but i i say no okay i i
don't like that uh dick.
Speaker 4 (39:14):
Well i'm thinking about people who grow up with a
group of friends and maybe some of them have dated
each other and now years later two of them are
together they're getting married and these are.
Speaker 1 (39:23):
All our friends yeah yeah uh and or.
Speaker 4 (39:26):
Maybe maybe like your wife's or your wife to be
maybe one of her good friends she's inviting because it's
her good friend because she doesn't know that two years
before you got together you were with said.
Speaker 1 (39:39):
That should probably come out before you get married well it.
Speaker 4 (39:41):
Doesn't necessarily happen and then she's inviting her to the
wedding you're going oh man.
Speaker 2 (39:44):
Yeah Well, what do you think, Goose?
Speaker 1 (39:48):
I'm with you, Kelly. I can't think of a scenario
where anyone.
Speaker 5 (39:53):
Where that would feel comfortable at all.
Speaker 1 (39:56):
I guess I would be a little uncomfy if Nora
had someone there. I'm sure she would be uncomfy if
I had someone there. And I can't think of anyone
that I would want to invite.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
Other than an ex-spouse, who are you remaining that close
with that they would be invited to your wedding?
Speaker 8 (40:13):
Right.
Speaker 5 (40:13):
800-821-9970.
Speaker 1 (40:14):
Aaron says, my ex-girlfriend was at my wedding, and my
now wife's ex-husband was also at our wedding. Wow. Okay. Blitz, hi,
who's this?
Speaker 5 (40:24):
Donnie.
Speaker 1 (40:25):
Donnie, should anyone who has slept with the bride or
groom be at a wedding at all?
Speaker 5 (40:31):
I'm with you on Kelly.
Speaker 7 (40:32):
I'm 100% no.
Speaker 1 (40:34):
I don't see a reason where that would be any
kind of cool or necessary.
Speaker 3 (40:39):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (40:40):
Yeah, I'm just trying to figure out a scenario why
and what that would be. I appreciate the call, Donnie.
Thank you so much. Have yourself a great Wednesday. Blitz, hi,
who's this?
Speaker 8 (40:51):
It's Kevin.
Speaker 1 (40:52):
Kevin, should someone who slept with the bride or groom
be at the wedding?
Speaker 7 (40:56):
I actually have been a person that slept with the
bride and been at two of those weddings.
Speaker 1 (41:03):
Wait, I'm sorry.
Speaker 6 (41:03):
He slept with the bride and he was at the wedding.
Speaker 7 (41:08):
Oh, oh, oh, oh.
Speaker 1 (41:10):
Okay, you were a guest at a wedding, and you
had slept with the bride. Yes. How long before the
wedding did you guys hook up?
Speaker 7 (41:19):
It was at least a couple years before the wedding,
before they even met their husband. I'm the reason why
they actually would have actually got married.
Speaker 5 (41:29):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (41:30):
Now, I agree.
Speaker 7 (41:32):
It's like a... One of them was in a really
bad state, and I basically helped coach her out of
it so she could move on and find the love
of her life.
Speaker 2 (41:42):
Oh, so that help was real intimate.
Speaker 1 (41:47):
You were the, if you can't get over a man,
get underneath one. You were that guy. Okay, fair enough. But,
you know, here's the thing. I also am a firm
believer in.
I cannot and will not judge Nora for anything she
did before we met. There's just no way you could
ever do that. We did not know each other. You
(42:10):
can't judge someone for doing that.
Speaker 4 (42:11):
But Kevin, did her husband that she got married to.
Speaker 6 (42:15):
Did he know?
Speaker 7 (42:17):
Okay, he knew I was the reason why she's still
here on the planet, but he didn't know that we
were together.
Speaker 6 (42:25):
So she invited you.
Speaker 7 (42:26):
He knew that I'm the reason why they are together.
Speaker 6 (42:30):
Right.
Speaker 2 (42:30):
Okay, you're saying a lot of words there. He did
not know that you had slept with his future bride.
Speaker 6 (42:37):
No, he did not.
Speaker 1 (42:38):
And she invited you.
Speaker 3 (42:39):
Okay. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (42:41):
All right. Well, I appreciate the call, man.
Speaker 7 (42:43):
She was a really good friend and everything else with her.
Speaker 5 (42:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (42:45):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (42:46):
Got it.
Speaker 7 (42:46):
As soon as she started, like, as soon as she
was able to get out there again, it was straight
from Sonic with us.
Speaker 5 (42:53):
Right.
Speaker 6 (42:53):
Okay. And you're just friends at that point.
Speaker 1 (42:54):
And you just went on and that was it. Okay. Well,
I appreciate the call, man. Thank you so much.
Speaker 5 (42:59):
800-821-9970.
Speaker 1 (42:59):
Blitz, hi. Who's this? This is Amber. Amber. All right.
Female perspective. Should anyone who slept with the bride or
groom be at the wedding?
Speaker 2 (43:11):
I would say no. However, I went to my best
friend's wedding two years ago, and his now-husband's.
Speaker 1 (43:21):
Ex-wife was at the wedding.
Speaker 2 (43:24):
Now, there's a circumstance, I guess, that I didn't think of.
Speaker 1 (43:28):
Yes. If someone has come to the full realization of
what their life is about, and they are actually gay,
and they get divorced... then is the significant other there.
Speaker 2 (43:41):
I still feel the same way about it. There's still
been an intimacy, an intimacy that I don't think is
appropriate at the person's wedding.
Speaker 1 (43:50):
I'm kind of with you.
Speaker 2 (43:50):
I would agree as well.
Speaker 3 (43:52):
And it was really weird.
Speaker 2 (43:54):
Like, there through the nuptials, through the reception, all of
the things.
Speaker 1 (43:56):
It was really weird.
Speaker 2 (43:58):
Yeah, yeah, that's interesting.
Speaker 1 (44:00):
Well, thank you very much for the call. Wow.
Speaker 5 (44:03):
Rob, okay.
Speaker 1 (44:05):
I had five at mine. Two were bridesmaids. To this day,
she still doesn't know about one of the bridesmaids. Oh, man.
Would that end in divorce if they found out?
Speaker 5 (44:21):
Like, what happens?
Speaker 1 (44:23):
Part two to the question. Let's find out after the wedding.
You're six months into your wedding, or you're six months
into your marriage, and you find out, oh, yeah, you know,
a thick that was there, we hooked up about five
years ago. Is that the end of the relationship? Two
years before you even met this person, her and Thicke
(44:44):
hooked up and you're like, okay, wait a minute. You
never told me that. I didn't think it was that
big of a deal. It was a one night thing.
It didn't matter. Do you throw away the relationship on that?
Speaker 2 (44:55):
No, you have a, I don't know. That's a question
of honesty.
Speaker 1 (44:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (45:00):
You know it matters. You know it matters. But you
decided not.
Speaker 1 (45:04):
To say something. Yeah. 800-821-9970. It's 99.7 The Blitz.
Speaker 5 (45:09):
It's the morning blitz. It's time. Rock and rumble. Kelly
versus Goose. On The Blitz.
Speaker 1 (45:25):
Bill Murray is going to be at Kemba Live Outdoor
on Friday, September 18th. It's actually the kickoff to the
Blitz Fall concert series, and we have got your tickets.
And make sure, if you're coming to the show, you
join us for the pregame at A & R Music
Bar from 4 to 6 until the doors open and
come hang out with us there. And if you want
to go, we'll give you a chance to win right now. 800-821-9970.
We're looking for two contestants as Kelly and I are
(45:47):
going to go head-to-head in a battle. What's it going
to be? Did you do one last time?
Speaker 2 (45:55):
Did I?
Speaker 1 (45:56):
I think so. Where are we sitting at? 15, 31.
Still ahead of me. 31 to 26. Okay. You've taken
a couple. All right, Blitz, hi, who's this? This is Rick. Hey, Rick,
you turned your radio down for me. That would be
so nice of you. Thank you so much. Rick, you
(46:16):
called in first, so do you want to play with
Kelly or Goose?
Speaker 7 (46:20):
I'll go with Kellan.
Speaker 4 (46:22):
Yes!
Speaker 1 (46:22):
Rick!
Speaker 5 (46:24):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (46:25):
Oh, this feels like a power couple here. Power team, yes.
Speaker 1 (46:29):
All right, Rick, you hang on one second. Blitz, how
is this? That would be so nice.
Speaker 3 (46:35):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (46:35):
Bank, you turn your radio down for me.
Speaker 3 (46:37):
You called it.
Speaker 1 (46:39):
Thank you very much. There we go. I love the
sound of my own voice, but just not right now. Ben,
you are stuck with me today because Rick picked Kelly.
So Rick and Ben, you guys are going to hang on.
I'll be your goose. You guys hang on while we
go head-to-head. Thick, what are we playing today?
Speaker 6 (46:59):
Opposite movie titles.
Speaker 1 (47:01):
Movie titles. We're going back and forth. Yes.
Speaker 5 (47:03):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (47:05):
Opposite movie titles.
Speaker 6 (47:06):
Who would like to go first?
Speaker 1 (47:08):
Up to you, Kelly.
Speaker 2 (47:10):
Go ahead.
Speaker 6 (47:10):
Okay, I'll go first.
Speaker 2 (47:11):
You're getting married this week. I'll give you that.
Speaker 1 (47:14):
Thank you so much. I appreciate that. All right, here
we go. Ready?
Speaker 6 (47:19):
White Wolf.
Speaker 1 (47:22):
White Wolf. I mean, there's an old truck driving movie
with Kurt Russell called Black Dog. Black Dog.
Speaker 2 (47:30):
Black Sheep.
Speaker 3 (47:33):
Yes!
Speaker 5 (47:33):
Yes!
Speaker 6 (47:34):
Are you a wolf or are you a sheep?
Speaker 1 (47:36):
Yeah, that's opposite. That makes sense. Can't be mad at that.
Screw you.
Speaker 6 (47:40):
All right, Kelly. Laughing work.
Speaker 2 (47:46):
Laughing work. Laughing. Crying.
Speaker 3 (47:51):
Play. Crying.
Speaker 2 (47:52):
Play.
Speaker 3 (47:53):
Crying.
Speaker 2 (47:53):
Crying game. Damn it.
Speaker 6 (47:55):
Goose was ready to steal. I could see it.
Speaker 1 (47:59):
Finkle was Einhorn. Einhorn was Finkle.
Speaker 6 (48:05):
All right, Goose. Artificial died victims.
Speaker 1 (48:20):
Artificial died victims.
Speaker 6 (48:26):
Artificial died victims.
Speaker 1 (48:30):
Artificial... D-I-E-D. Yeah, he died. Died.
Speaker 6 (48:33):
Artificial died victims.
Speaker 1 (48:35):
Artificial is real. It's real.
Speaker 3 (48:38):
Real.
Speaker 1 (48:38):
Well, usual suspects. Victims... Victims... If you're not a victim,
then you're a... The hell are you if you're not
a victim? If you're not a victim, you're a.
Suspect. It's usual.
Speaker 5 (48:51):
Damn!
Speaker 1 (48:53):
Artificial died victims are.
You're going to kick yourself. Artificial. Kelly, do you know?
Speaker 8 (49:02):
No.
Speaker 1 (49:04):
Are you just saying that so you can steal the answer?
Artificial died victims are, it's a movie, artificial died victims
are real, real life suspects. Uh.
Speaker 2 (49:21):
It's got to be like heroes.
Speaker 1 (49:23):
Victims, heroes.
Speaker 2 (49:25):
Real life, real life.
Speaker 1 (49:28):
Victims.
Speaker 2 (49:30):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (49:31):
Natural born killer.
Speaker 6 (49:32):
Son of a bitch. Damn it.
Speaker 1 (49:38):
Kick yourself.
Speaker 2 (49:40):
Born.
Speaker 1 (49:40):
Not alive. Died. Born. That's the opposite.
Speaker 5 (49:43):
All right.
Speaker 6 (49:45):
So Kelly's first.
Speaker 1 (49:46):
Yep.
Speaker 6 (49:47):
Boy undisturbed.
Speaker 2 (49:50):
A girl interrupted.
Speaker 1 (49:56):
Goose. Why don't you give me another impossible one, thanks.
Speaker 6 (50:00):
You figured it out, so it wasn't so impossible, was it?
Girls do laugh.
Speaker 1 (50:05):
Boys don't cry.
Speaker 6 (50:05):
Is that one easy enough for you?
Speaker 1 (50:08):
That one is easy enough.
Speaker 6 (50:11):
Kelly, the state of found adults.
Speaker 5 (50:14):
State of found adults.
Speaker 2 (50:21):
Country lost children. Country for lost children. Wait a minute.
Wait a minute.
Speaker 5 (50:33):
State.
Speaker 2 (50:40):
The state.
Speaker 1 (50:45):
What is it again?
Speaker 6 (50:46):
The state of found adults.
Speaker 1 (50:48):
Found.
Speaker 5 (50:49):
Lost.
Speaker 2 (50:50):
Adults.
Speaker 3 (50:52):
Children.
Speaker 2 (50:52):
Lost children. Lost kids. Lost babies. All right. I think
that it is the.
Speaker 5 (51:06):
Universe of.
Speaker 2 (51:12):
Lost infants.
Speaker 1 (51:16):
Goose? City of Lost Children?
Speaker 2 (51:20):
What the heck is that?
Speaker 1 (51:21):
It's a movie. I've never heard of City of Lost Children.
No idea.
Speaker 6 (51:25):
All right. Well, Goose got it.
Speaker 1 (51:27):
Am I finally on the board? That's the second one.
Speaker 6 (51:30):
Kelly's up three to two.
Speaker 8 (51:31):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (51:31):
I can tie it here.
Speaker 6 (51:32):
You can.
Speaker 1 (51:32):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (51:33):
Bad won't fishin'..
Speaker 1 (51:36):
Oh, gosh.
Speaker 5 (51:37):
Come on.
Speaker 1 (51:38):
Bad won't fishin'. Good will huntin'. All.
Speaker 6 (51:46):
Right, Kelly.
Speaker 2 (51:47):
Wait. Let me suck down the rage I'm feeling right now.
Hold on. Let me get it under control.
Speaker 5 (51:54):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (51:54):
I think I'm good. Lay it on me, baby.
Speaker 6 (51:57):
The silver adult.
Speaker 2 (52:00):
Oh, the golden child.
Speaker 5 (52:02):
I thought we were going to buy.
Speaker 1 (52:06):
What kind of BS is this?
Speaker 5 (52:07):
Stop me now.
Speaker 3 (52:09):
If you want to have a good time, just give.
Speaker 5 (52:13):
Me a call.
Speaker 1 (52:14):
Stop. Damn you, Natural Boy Killers!
Speaker 5 (52:22):
All right, Rick.
Speaker 2 (52:23):
Oh, Rick, I know we were going to do it.
Speaker 1 (52:26):
You have got yourself a pair of tickets for Bill
Murray at Kemba Live Outdoor. Friday, September 18th. Make sure
you join us at A & R Bar from 4
to 6 for a little pre-gaming fun. And, Ben, I
am not going to let Woody Harrelson or– What's her name?
Speaker 6 (52:43):
What is her name? Juliette Lewis.
Speaker 1 (52:45):
Juliette Lewis. There we go. Or Robert Downey Jr.
Speaker 5 (52:48):
He's in there.
Speaker 1 (52:49):
I will not let them keep you from Bill Murray.
So you're going to get tickets as well, Ben, okay?
All right, you guys hang out. We'll get you taken
care of.
Speaker 8 (52:57):
And now, the three things you need to know before
you go is You.
Speaker 2 (53:03):
Probably remember the name Mackenzie Shirella, a 21-year-old girl, has
a Netflix documentary about how she drove her car 100
miles an hour into the side of a building in Strongsville, Ohio,
and killed her boyfriend and another friend. So she's serving
a life sentence at the Ohio Reformatory for Women. She
has had zero luck with her appeal. She's getting nowhere,
(53:26):
but she keeps trying. She, let's see here. She first
applied for post-conviction relief. That request was filed a day late.
She had 365 days to file for post-conviction relief. She
did it on day 366. So it was denied. So
she appealed that to the Ohio Supreme Court to consider
(53:46):
the request denied. She tried again. Yesterday, the Ohio Supreme
Court denied the request. Now, she still has a pending
federal application for a writ of habeas corpus seeking to
have her convictions overturned and be granted a new trial,
basically saying her attorneys provided ineffective legal representation. So that
is her next attempt. I don't know if you saw
(54:08):
the crash, the documentary.
Speaker 1 (54:09):
Oh, absolutely.
Speaker 5 (54:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (54:11):
I mean, you there there's other than. J.P. Miller, the
pastor from the Netflix documentary that I just watched, I
don't think anybody else deserves a life sentence more than
this girl. It's a really awful person.
Speaker 5 (54:24):
She did it. Yeah, 100%.
Speaker 1 (54:28):
You can't look at the evidence and not find her guilty.
Speaker 2 (54:31):
Right. Now, if we could just get J.P. Miller all
wrapped up in some type of long-term prison sentence, that
would make my life complete.
Speaker 1 (54:39):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (54:39):
There you go. I don't want much in this life,
all right? I just want J.P. Miller behind bars. A
Massachusetts woman has been arrested for allegedly trying to intimidate
jurors at the Lindsay Clancy triple murder trial. Okay, so
we're trying to figure out whether the jury's deliberating this case.
Lindsay Clancy strangled her three children to death. She's claiming
(55:00):
that she was suffering postpartum psychosis and cannot be held
legally responsible for what she did to those children.
Speaker 5 (55:05):
And no.
Speaker 2 (55:06):
So that's what they're deliberating right now. But, you know,
because of TikTok and everybody getting so entrenched in these
true crime trials, this woman shows up at the courthouse
when they dismiss the jury and started taking pictures and
filming the jurors, which you can't do. Her name's 56-year-old
(55:30):
Dawn Light. Her name is Dawn Light. She's 56. She
was arrested.
Outside the Plymouth courthouse yesterday, she was filming the jurors
after they were excused for the day. She was taken
into custody and booked on one count of intimidation of
a witness or a juror in a criminal proceeding.
Speaker 1 (55:46):
Yeah, you can't do that.
Speaker 2 (55:47):
Yeah, they felt like it was threatening.
Speaker 1 (55:48):
What is your thought on, with all of our infatuation
with real-life crimes and things like that, and you're watching
videos or this, let's say... You see something.
Speaker 2 (56:01):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (56:02):
And you follow the trials and things like that. And
you're watching. You're like, wait a minute. They said this.
But I know I saw something. And you go back
and you watch a TikTok video or you see whatever
has been released by the public. And I'm not saying
the police aren't doing their job or investigators aren't doing
their job. But let's just say you see something. Should
you be able to bring it to the investigators? Should
(56:24):
the public be able to maybe... point something out. And
I don't know if that would be considered interference or
should they be able to get involved in these trials?
Because nowadays, like everything is videotaped. You're not getting away
with anything. Do you become a witness for the prosecution
maybe or the defense one way or the other? Can
they call you on the stand and say, yeah, but
I saw this.
Speaker 6 (56:45):
I do.
Speaker 2 (56:45):
You saw that during the Karen Reed trial. People really
do sort of put themselves into the situation. Like they
had to deal with a lot of people calling in
tips and And I've done my own investigation and I've
got a recommendation or a suggestion. These are attorneys who
have spent months, if not years, prepping for a case.
Speaker 1 (57:07):
I guess that's what it would be. You would become
a witness for the prosecution or the defense and they
would call you on the stand to what you saw
or didn't see.
Speaker 2 (57:15):
I mean, I guess if you were that involved.
Speaker 4 (57:17):
Well, with what you said, though, your original question, like
if you saw something and like, did they realize what
just happened here?
Speaker 6 (57:24):
And you call. I think, yeah, you can say, hey,
just throwing this in there.
Speaker 1 (57:28):
Take a phone call.
Speaker 4 (57:29):
And the prosecutor looks at it and goes, oh, okay. Because, yeah,
we have crime tip lines.
Speaker 8 (57:33):
Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 6 (57:34):
Everybody calls crime hotlines.
Speaker 5 (57:35):
Hey, this happened.
Speaker 6 (57:36):
I saw this.
Speaker 2 (57:37):
I just think maybe you're underestimating how many people are
doing this because they think they're a true crime detective
now that they have social.
Speaker 1 (57:45):
Well, that's my question. That's the other end of the spectrum. Yeah. Well,
someone may help, but then you've got people like this
who may have just hurt this whole trial.
Speaker 6 (57:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (57:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (57:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (57:53):
Tiger Woods scheduled to appear before a Florida judge today
for a change of plea hearing five months after his
rollover crash led to misdemeanor DUI and refusal to submit
to testing charges. Woods previously pleaded not guilty. So a
change of plea, I guess that means he's going to
maybe plead guilty under some type of plea deal.
Speaker 5 (58:10):
Right.
Speaker 2 (58:10):
We know he traveled outside the U.S. for treatment. So
we'll see what happens. But that's going to happen today.
And those are your three things.
Speaker 1 (58:18):
Three days away. Game number one is going to go
down tomorrow. Jeff Logan's going to be joining us because
we're not here on Friday. We've got something going on,
so we can't be here.
Speaker 2 (58:31):
I can't remember what is going on.
Speaker 5 (58:34):
Goose is over it.
Speaker 1 (58:36):
Tomorrow, Jeff Logan will join us for the first week
of the college football season. Of course, we'll get his
expert opinion on what's going to happen throughout the season and,
of course, the first game of the year. But We've
already had people making predictions depending on who your favorite
sportscaster is or your favorite podcast or radio. Whatever the
case may be, people are out there making predictions left
(58:57):
and right. There's a guy who works for Barstool Sports.
Ohio Tate is his name. And he is obviously a
big Ohio State fan. And so he made some predictions
on the season and... not only that, like he did
last year, he's laying down a bit of a gauntlet,
a little bit of a gamble, if you will, because
(59:17):
he has placed a bet on every single game, but
it's kind of a personal bet in that what will
happen if Ohio State doesn't win? Some of these Whatever.
Speaker 4 (59:28):
Like those fantasy football loser things.
Speaker 1 (59:30):
Yes, yes. But he's doing it week by week.
Speaker 6 (59:33):
Oh, every game.
Speaker 1 (59:34):
Every single game. So, like, Ball State, the first game
of the year. Take a listen.
Speaker 3 (59:39):
The 2026 Ohio State Buckeyes will be going undefeated. In fact,
if Ohio State loses any games this season, I will
be completing punishments from this list. If we lose week
one to Ball State, I will get a vasectomy.
Speaker 5 (59:54):
Wow. Okay.
Speaker 2 (59:56):
That's high stakes.
Speaker 1 (59:57):
That is. Now, granted, that's up there with when Michigan
lost to Appalachian State. That would be one of the
greatest upsets of all time. So he feels pretty confident.
About that win, for sure. On to the next game,
of course, huge game in Austin, Ohio State versus Texas.
Speaker 3 (01:00:17):
If we lose week two at Texas, I will become
the Archman, Archmanic, a.k.a. I will go to a never-closing McDonald's.
I will sit there for 24 straight hours with each
Big Mac I eat, taking an hour off the time.
Speaker 2 (01:00:30):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (01:00:31):
That's a lot of Big Macs. I like that.
Speaker 6 (01:00:32):
That's like the Waffle House.
Speaker 3 (01:00:33):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (01:00:34):
I heard one at a bar, too, for doing a shot.
Speaker 5 (01:00:36):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (01:00:37):
Kent State at Ohio State for game number three.
Speaker 6 (01:00:40):
If we lose week.
Speaker 3 (01:00:41):
Three against Kent State, the Golden Flashes, I will go
out in a severe thunderstorm. The sirens must go off,
and I will hold a metal baseball bat for as
many minutes as points the Buckeyes lose by.
Speaker 2 (01:00:53):
Okay, now that is just insane.
Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
So you're ready to die, basically, over that game.
Speaker 6 (01:00:58):
If we lose to Kent State, yes.
Speaker 1 (01:01:02):
That's pretty crazy. Next week, Illinois at Ohio State.
Speaker 3 (01:01:06):
If we lose week four against Illinois, and heads up,
this is the day before my engagement photos, I will
wake up on Sunday and I will get a spray
tan until I'm orange.
Speaker 1 (01:01:16):
Orange? Until he's orange. Yep.
Speaker 2 (01:01:19):
Okay, I like that one. That's pretty funny.
Speaker 1 (01:01:21):
That was good. Ohio State at Iowa.
Speaker 3 (01:01:24):
If we lose game five at Iowa, I will become
a human hawk feeder. I will lay out in a
field covered in bird feed for as many hours as
points the Buckeyes lose.
Speaker 6 (01:01:33):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:01:35):
Wow. That's got to become uncomfortable at some point with
birds pecking at you, I have to assume. Maryland at
Ohio State.
Speaker 3 (01:01:42):
If we lose game six against Maryland, I will do
a turtle race, a.k.a. I will run a mile on
the treadmill for every point that Maryland scores, except I
cannot go over 0.5 miles per hour.
Speaker 1 (01:01:55):
So basically he's going to be wasting a lot of time.
On the treadmill.
Speaker 6 (01:01:59):
He's going to be walking.
Speaker 1 (01:02:00):
Yes, for a long, long time. Ohio State at Indiana.
Could be a big game.
Speaker 3 (01:02:05):
If we lose game seven at Indiana, the defending national champs,
I will do the Indy 500, which means I'll put
on those candy-striped Hoosier pants.
Speaker 1 (01:02:13):
I'll go to the gym where they film the.
Speaker 3 (01:02:15):
Movie Hoosiers, and I will run 500 wind sprints.
Speaker 5 (01:02:19):
Down and back is one.
Speaker 1 (01:02:21):
That's a lot.
Speaker 2 (01:02:22):
Oh, my gosh.
Speaker 1 (01:02:23):
That's a lot of wind sprints.
Speaker 2 (01:02:24):
That's going to be like the end of the Iron
Man when that person was like pooping themselves at the
very end. That's what it's going to do.
Speaker 1 (01:02:31):
Ohio State at USC, another very big game.
Speaker 3 (01:02:34):
If we lose game number eight at USC, USC, I
will give my boss, Big Cat, the power to tweet.
USC one time before the end of the calendar year.
And if from that moment that he tweets USC, if
I am not in a sea or an ocean within
24 hours, I'm fired from Barstool.
Speaker 5 (01:02:53):
Wow. Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:02:54):
Got to get to a body of water.
Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
So basically you get to go on a vacation real quick.
Speaker 5 (01:02:58):
All right.
Speaker 1 (01:03:00):
Followed up by another huge game. Oregon coming here to
the shoot.
Speaker 3 (01:03:04):
If we lose game nine against Oregon, I can't believe
I agreed to this. I will do a repeat, meaning
I will run back eating 10 marshmallow peeps for every
point that Oregon scores.
Speaker 5 (01:03:15):
Last time it was 320 peeps.
Speaker 3 (01:03:16):
I have not eaten one cent.
Speaker 1 (01:03:18):
Ugh.
Speaker 2 (01:03:20):
Oh, that's a lot. I was going to say I
think I could do that, but not 320.
Speaker 1 (01:03:23):
320 peeps. Northwestern coming to the shoe.
Speaker 3 (01:03:27):
If we lose game number 10 at Northwestern, I will
take the ACT over and over and over again until
I get the average admission score to get into Northwestern,
which is a 34.
Speaker 2 (01:03:39):
Well, that's a pretty high score.
Speaker 1 (01:03:40):
That's a huge score. That 36 is perfect. That's not
easy to do.
Speaker 2 (01:03:44):
That's a good one.
Speaker 1 (01:03:45):
Ohio State going to Nebraska, second last game of the season.
Speaker 3 (01:03:48):
If we lose game number 11 at Nebraska, then the
following week, which includes Thanksgiving, by the way, the only
thing I will be allowed to eat is corn that
I pick and shuck myself.
Speaker 2 (01:04:01):
Where are you picking and shucking in November?
Speaker 1 (01:04:03):
Oh, is it October? It's about done. End of September, October, right? Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:04:10):
Yeah, I don't think we're doing corn in November. Maybe
I'm wrong, though. I'm not a farmer.
Speaker 6 (01:04:14):
I love corn.
Speaker 1 (01:04:15):
And then we come to it, the game, the last
game of the regular season.
Speaker 3 (01:04:20):
And if we lose the game, game number 12 at
home against Michigan, I will pierce my nipple like those
trolls from Ann Arbor accused Ryan Day of having.
Speaker 2 (01:04:29):
Let's go Bucs.
Speaker 1 (01:04:33):
I guess there was a thing going on. There's a
picture of Ryan Day in a couple of shirts. And
I guess it looks like I haven't seen it. I
have no idea about this.
Speaker 2 (01:04:41):
Was that when they were accusing Ryan Day of having
the spies against the Connor Stallion guy? And then they
were like, I have no going back and forth against
each other. And somebody was like, it looks like Ryan
Day's nipples are pierced or something like that.
Speaker 1 (01:04:53):
Yeah, it's all stupid. I just want to watch the
football game. I don't care about that. So they say
12 and 0. We'll find out if Jeff Logan believes
the same tomorrow morning, right around 740.
Speaker 8 (01:05:07):
Not so breaking news. The news already broke. We're trying
to put it back together.
Speaker 1 (01:05:13):
Okay, our first story takes us overseas to Indonesia, and
I don't want to make light of a very unfortunate incident. But...
I shouldn't laugh before I even get the story out.
But here's the deal. You got... They had signs. They
had signs telling you what was going to happen. And
(01:05:35):
you ignored the signs. During a day of celebration, there
was a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the initiation of a newly
opened Pungpet Suspension Bridge in Pengdaran Regency West Java in Indonesia.
And it was supposed to connect a couple of villages
or make it easier for a couple of these villages
(01:05:56):
to do trades and work and things like that instead
of going all the way around. So they built a
brand new suspension bridge, which was about 10 feet over
this body of water. that covered a span of 60 meters. So,
that's a good distance. Well, during the celebration, a bunch
(01:06:18):
of the people who were there decided to take a
picture on the bridge for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. However, there
was a sign which stated weight limits, number limits, only
so many people crossing the bridge at one time. And
in all of the excitement, they did not listen. So
(01:06:39):
right there during the ribbon-cutting ceremony, that suspension was no
longer suspending. And pretty much everyone on the bridge fell
into the water. Now, the good news is no catastrophic,
no deaths, a couple of injuries, a sprained ankle here
or there. All in all, everyone's going to be fine.
(01:07:00):
But if they posted signs, what are you doing? I
know you want your picture. I know you want to
be a part of the celebration. How about two or
three at a time? Come on.
Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
Have you seen, this is kind of related, the swinging
bridge in China? They do a bunch of TikToks. They
have done TikTok videos where people get on and they
purposely like swing it back and forth to try to
dump other people into the water.
Speaker 1 (01:07:25):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:07:26):
Now that would be the temptation on a suspension bridge.
Let's start swinging this bad boy.
Speaker 1 (01:07:30):
I may have told this story one time. We were
in New York City and we were in a hotel
and It wasn't anything fancy. It was a small hotel.
And because it was a small hotel, it had a
small elevator. And only so many people were allowed on
the elevator at a time. And there were four of
us in our group. And this elevator holds six people.
And we get on the elevator. And I was the
(01:07:52):
last to get on the elevator. And the doors closed.
And once the doors closed, there was a sign on
the inside of the door. And it said, do not jump.
Elevator will get stuck.
Speaker 2 (01:08:04):
Okay, well, that's all you needed.
Speaker 1 (01:08:05):
That's all I needed. So I give a good old jump.
Speaker 3 (01:08:09):
And?
Speaker 1 (01:08:10):
Nothing happens.
Speaker 8 (01:08:10):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:08:11):
Nothing happens. However, the door is open. We go to
get off, and I turn around because I'm laughing. My
friends aren't. I didn't realize there was a very small
Asian man already on the elevator.
Speaker 5 (01:08:21):
Oh, no.
Speaker 1 (01:08:22):
I didn't see him because I was the last on,
and my friends kind of encompassed him.
Speaker 5 (01:08:27):
Oh, wow.
Speaker 1 (01:08:27):
He had a... He turned white. He was.
Speaker 5 (01:08:31):
Oh, my gosh.
Speaker 2 (01:08:33):
You've caused an international incident.
Speaker 6 (01:08:35):
I felt a panic attack.
Speaker 1 (01:08:36):
I just scared him. He didn't want me jumping. Obviously.
Story number two takes us over to... Oh, we head
down south. We have ourselves a WTF.
Speaker 5 (01:08:49):
What the Florida?
Speaker 1 (01:08:50):
In fact, Kelly, I'm going to let you decide. I'm
on the fence. I think this might belong in the
not-so-breaking news What the Florida Hall of Fame.
Speaker 3 (01:08:58):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:08:59):
I'll let you decide, though, however. There was a buy-and-bust
operation in Florida where police officers might get themselves an
inside man or inside woman, someone who may help them
bust bigger, badder dealers throughout the area. And sure enough,
police found a willing participant who was willing... To take
(01:09:20):
some money given to them, head on over to the corner,
buy themselves some crack cocaine. Police will be there. Undercover
police will be in the surrounding area. They'll see the
deal go down. They'll be able to bust someone more
than just a user. Now you're going after the dealers,
and maybe if you get the dealers, you get the suppliers.
Speaker 5 (01:09:38):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:09:39):
But you've got to start at the bottom. So you
find yourself a user that you can flip. Give them
the money. Let them go buy the drugs. You swarm in.
Speaker 5 (01:09:48):
You get the dealer.
Speaker 1 (01:09:49):
All right.
Speaker 3 (01:09:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:09:50):
Now, what happens when Miss Strobel, Jess Strobel, who has
a nickname, by the way, Crooked Jess is her nickname,
and you give her $ 60 to then go up to
the home well-known for dealing crack cocaine to start the process,
have her buy, you get the whole thing, you raid
(01:10:12):
the place, so on and so forth. Well, after an hour,
more than a reasonable amount of time... to go in
and buy the narcotics, something happened. They noticed Crooked Jess
had no intention of bringing the drugs or the money
back to the police. She was seen running through the backyard,
(01:10:33):
jumping over the fence into the next street and taking off.
Speaker 2 (01:10:37):
Well, you were warned.
Speaker 1 (01:10:38):
Why did you think Crooked Jess was going to help
you out? Why did you think Crooked Jess wasn't going
to steal your $ 80 and run? Yep. They say that
they had no way to get in contact with her
to inquire about her whereabouts. Several months had passed before
the police finally caught up with her.
Speaker 2 (01:10:58):
Oh, you've got to let her go and take some
responsibility in this.
Speaker 1 (01:11:02):
Yeah. Like, what did you think was going to happen here?
That's the big question.
Speaker 2 (01:11:07):
She told you her name is Crooked Jess.
Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
She laid it all out for you. She got the
pen and paper and drew you schematics. She told you
the whole thing. I'm going to take your money. I'm
going to hop the fence. I'm going to run. It
was like Wile E. Coyote drawing out his plans to
catch Roadrunner. Told you exactly what was going to happen.
I love it.
Speaker 5 (01:11:28):
Hall of Fame, for sure.
Speaker 1 (01:11:29):
Yeah, actually not so breaking news. Cocaine is a hell
of a drug.
Speaker 5 (01:11:32):
All right, it's.
Speaker 1 (01:11:34):
A Wednesday, which means we have to get into Blitz therapy.
And Kevin wrote us an email here. And he goes,
what's up, you guys? I need to know something. I've
been on a few dates with this girl, and she's fantastic.
But on our last date... At dinner, I saw something.
I saw a gun in her open purse. Number one.
(01:11:56):
Do I tell her I saw it? Number two. Is
this a red flag? Told my friend. He thought it
was cool. It's really strange for me because I'm kind
of freaked out. But at the same time, I think
it's kind of hot. Would love your thoughts.
Speaker 6 (01:12:09):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (01:12:10):
I mean, to.
Speaker 1 (01:12:12):
Each their own, obviously. Some people are It's going to
be kind of hard one to debate because either you're
into it or you're not. Like for me, I'll tell
you straight up that that's not a person I would
be with. I would I would say, you know, not
for me or we can go our separate ways or whatever.
That's my personal preference. But some people might go, hey,
(01:12:35):
I saw yours.
Speaker 5 (01:12:36):
Look at mine.
Speaker 2 (01:12:36):
Do you feel like there's a difference between seeing a
gun in a woman's purse and seeing a gun on
a man? Because I feel like the man thing seems aggressive,
but the woman thing might be like a protection.
Speaker 1 (01:12:50):
Could be.
Speaker 5 (01:12:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:12:52):
Absolutely could be. And that's the other thing that Kevin
could think about. Was this for me?
Speaker 2 (01:12:59):
Yeah. Well, if you're willing to get to know her
a little better, see if she just whips that thing
out randomly.
Speaker 5 (01:13:06):
Right.
Speaker 1 (01:13:09):
Yeah. You said you've been on a few dates. So
is your fifth date to the shooting range? Maybe that's
something you're both into.
Speaker 3 (01:13:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:13:15):
Great i i first of all i would not call
it a red flag no at all no it's a
thing it's a.
Speaker 2 (01:13:23):
Thing yeah that you have to decide are you into
that thing or.
Speaker 1 (01:13:26):
Not right 800-821-9970 would you uh would you would you
be into that or what's your what's your kind of
your thought process on that whole thing are you are
you staying kelly you going on another date.
Speaker 2 (01:13:42):
Listen, we own a gun, so I'm not anti-gun.
Speaker 3 (01:13:45):
Right.
Speaker 2 (01:13:45):
I'm coming from that perspective. I don't carry a gun
out in public with me, and neither does my husband.
I'm not comfortable with that, personally, because I feel like
I don't know you well enough to know if you're stable. 100%.
So I feel like I'm not sure if I'm hanging
in there with that or not. Now, yeah, I guess
it's all circumstantial. Like I said, I don't have a
(01:14:06):
problem with guns.
Speaker 1 (01:14:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:14:09):
But I feel like... All of us just randomly carrying
a gun with us everywhere feels like it feels kind
of weird, but I don't know. Don't hate me for it.
Like I said, I'm not anti-gun. I just don't know
if I'm into them that much.
Speaker 3 (01:14:22):
Right.
Speaker 1 (01:14:23):
What do you think?
Speaker 6 (01:14:24):
I don't have a problem with it. And, you know, Kelly,
I think there's probably a lot more people carrying guns
than you realize.
Speaker 2 (01:14:30):
No, I understand that. But if I see a gun
on a person I'm on a first date with, I'm.
Speaker 6 (01:14:35):
You said it.
Speaker 4 (01:14:36):
I think it's a protection thing because I think, man,
being a woman today is pretty effing scary.
Speaker 3 (01:14:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:14:41):
It really is, man. There are so many creeps out there. And, yeah,
I mean, I would completely understand it. I wish my
wife would carry one.
Speaker 1 (01:14:50):
I really do.
Speaker 4 (01:14:51):
And I pray she never had to use it, but
I wish she would carry one.
Speaker 2 (01:14:55):
Listen, you don't want me carrying a gun. We've got
a gun. You don't want me with that in public.
I can get really triggered quickly.
Speaker 1 (01:15:05):
We've talked about your built-up rage monster.
Speaker 2 (01:15:06):
Yeah, I don't need to add a gun to the mix.
Speaker 1 (01:15:10):
Naomi asked, off-duty weapon? Possibly, but I have to assume
that if you're on a few dates, you know.
Speaker 5 (01:15:15):
You know what they do for a weapon.
Speaker 1 (01:15:16):
Right, exactly.
Speaker 5 (01:15:17):
Yeah, that's a good question.
Speaker 1 (01:15:19):
If you see it on the third or fourth date
sitting inside of her purse... I don't think that's an
off-duty weapon. That's an assumption. I like Kyle.
Speaker 6 (01:15:28):
He said, I'm staying and I'm going to surprise her
with a date at the shooting range.
Speaker 3 (01:15:31):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:15:31):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (01:15:33):
Could be something.
Speaker 6 (01:15:33):
That's great.
Speaker 1 (01:15:34):
Unless, well, I would say unless she's not into that
sort of thing and it literally is just a protection thing.
But if you're going to have one, you should probably
know how to use it. So you probably go to
the shooting range a little bit anyways. Uh, Kayla said,
I think I leave. I agree with not staying also
being circumstantial. Don't agree with bringing in on a first
date or whatever the case may be.
Speaker 2 (01:15:54):
Um, yeah, just, I guess to me that you're making
it a giant part of your personality by bringing it
with you on our date. This is a big part
of your personality that I don't, you know, I don't
know if that's my quite where my interests lie.
Speaker 1 (01:16:09):
Yeah. Again, it says a few dates, so I'm going
to call it third. We're just going to call it
third date.
Speaker 5 (01:16:16):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:16:18):
Third date, I'm seeing this out of nowhere. I'm definitely
going to have questions.
Speaker 2 (01:16:24):
But then what if something goes down and she's got
a gun?
Speaker 1 (01:16:27):
I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:16:27):
And we're all saved.
Speaker 5 (01:16:28):
Thanks to her. Totally could be.
Speaker 1 (01:16:31):
Jackie says, I carry it in my car and want
the protection, especially when I travel alone with the kids. Okay.
I think I'd leave, says Kayla.
Speaker 6 (01:16:39):
Oh, sorry.
Speaker 1 (01:16:39):
I got that one already.
Speaker 2 (01:16:41):
Melissa says, okay, if it's a first date, she doesn't
know him. Why would she not bring her gun? That's
kind of true.
Speaker 1 (01:16:47):
That is true. Or even the third date. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:16:50):
You don't know each other that well.
Speaker 1 (01:16:51):
Again, Kevin could ask the question. Because I think if
I saw it, let's say she gets up and uses
the restroom, which she would take her purse anyways. But
if I saw it, I'd be like, Hey, wait, is
that for me? Am I giving off vibes here?
Speaker 5 (01:17:05):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 1 (01:17:05):
Am I giving off some sort of vibe? You feel
you need that?
Speaker 3 (01:17:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:17:08):
And if she says, no, I bring it with me everywhere.
I have a concealed carry. I'm always on the lookout or,
I mean, always prepared.
Speaker 2 (01:17:15):
Okay, fine.
Speaker 1 (01:17:17):
But even if that's your answer, that's still not the
person for me. But that's a personal preference. So if
you've got no problem with it, great. Shroom says maybe
it's a sex toy. Okay, there are some shaped like that.
There are some shaped like maybe she had different plans
for later in the night. Total possibility. Maybe she lives
(01:17:40):
in a bad part of town, Matt says. That's a possibility, too. Again,
all these are possibilities. Vivian, just talk about it and
ask questions. I mean, that's obviously the same thing.
Speaker 2 (01:17:49):
You have to bring it up, don't you?
Speaker 6 (01:17:50):
That was the first thing he asked. Should I tell
her I know?
Speaker 5 (01:17:53):
Yeah, tell her.
Speaker 6 (01:17:53):
Say, hey, I saw your gun.
Speaker 2 (01:17:54):
I would have done it in the moment.
Speaker 5 (01:17:56):
I absolutely would have done it in the moment.
Speaker 2 (01:17:57):
Oh, I see you got a gun there.
Speaker 6 (01:17:59):
Yeah, right. Exactly.
Speaker 1 (01:18:01):
Oh, is that the Desert Eagle 447? Pretty sexy.
Speaker 5 (01:18:03):
See, you can.
Speaker 2 (01:18:07):
Show a lot about yourself while asking about the gun.
Speaker 1 (01:18:10):
I don't know crap about guns. That's what I would show. Oh,
is that a pew-pew?
Speaker 2 (01:18:17):
Is that a 9mm or an 8mm? 7mm.
Speaker 5 (01:18:21):
In your pocket.
Speaker 1 (01:18:23):
Or are you just happy to see me? I'm talking
about my 12mm that way. Yeah, I just, you gotta
talk about it. For sure. And I say right at
that moment, too. Like, if I see it, it's coming
up instantly.
Speaker 2 (01:18:38):
For sure.
Speaker 6 (01:18:39):
I can't believe these texts are flying in.
Speaker 1 (01:18:40):
Yeah, they really are.
Speaker 6 (01:18:43):
5546, I definitely want my daughters to carry on the
first date. You don't know that guy. So for her safety.
And I carry everywhere. and no one ever notices.
Speaker 2 (01:18:51):
8353 said, where I live in the sticks, if she
wasn't carrying, it would be weird.
Speaker 1 (01:18:55):
Yeah, I'm sure there's lots of areas like that. Absolutely.
JC says, I could care less about the weapon as
long as it's not pointed at me.
Speaker 8 (01:19:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:19:03):
I mean, there is that. I mean, that's literally the
first thing I think if I see it. And I've
been in many... Living in Colorado.
Speaker 8 (01:19:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:19:15):
Saw so many people walk into places... Same with Arizona.
Speaker 5 (01:19:18):
With guns.
Speaker 8 (01:19:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:19:19):
Carry a gun in Arizona.
Speaker 1 (01:19:20):
And a lot of people's first instinct will be, oh...
Person's protecting themselves. If something goes down, you know, the
good guy with the gun beats the bad guy with
the gun. My first question anytime I see a gun
is I really hope that person is stable. Right. You
never know. Yes. You never, ever know nowadays. So, yeah,
texture continue to roll in 800-821-9970. You're on the third date.
(01:19:44):
You look over. Her purse happened to be just creaked
open a little bit. You see a gun in the purse.
You done it over with. You talk about it. Is
it a red flag? Kevin really wants to know.
Speaker 3 (01:19:55):
800-821-9970.
Speaker 1 (01:19:55):
It's 99.7 The Blitz. And now, the.
Speaker 5 (01:20:00):
Three things you need to know before you go.
Speaker 2 (01:20:03):
City Council in Powell has voted again to keep marijuana
dispensaries out of their town. Yesterday's vote was unanimous. It's
the fourth time Powell officials have approved a ban on
the sale of recreational medical pot. This ban lasts until
December of 2024. A 41-year-old father of four died from
a lightning strike while jet skiing with his friend in Florida.
Can you imagine? This man's name is Steve Matheson. He
(01:20:25):
was hit by lightning on Saturday evening near Fort DeSoto.
Matheson is from Utah. He was taken to the hospital.
He was later pronounced dead. He'd been in Florida for
a work conference and decided to stay one extra day
to spend the day with his friend. Matheson was the
third fatal lightning strike in Florida in a week. Last
week on Staten Island, I don't know if you saw
(01:20:45):
this video. There is a video of a man being
hit by lightning on the street right there. You can
see it. It's in Staten Island. His name's Thomas Fahmy.
He was about 15 feet from his car when a
lightning bolt hit, dropped him to the ground. It was
from someone's ring camera. He said he felt very intense burning, tingling, numbness,
severe pain in both his feet. He spent one night
(01:21:08):
in the hospital when he was released. That's pretty wild.
Speaker 1 (01:21:11):
Yeah, I did see one of a guy in a
golf cart. And he went under a tree when the
rain rolled in, which I've done too. But not the
best place to go. And he's holding his cell phone.
He's like, man, it's really coming down out here. I
hope we get to finish.
Speaker 2 (01:21:27):
It's so wild.
Speaker 1 (01:21:30):
I wouldn't mind one of those lightning burn scars, though.
Speaker 5 (01:21:32):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:21:34):
Like Harry Potter on the forehead?
Speaker 1 (01:21:35):
Well, yeah, but it's like.
Speaker 2 (01:21:38):
All the way down?
Speaker 1 (01:21:38):
Usually you get it through a big part of your
body where you got hit. And you get the lines.
Speaker 5 (01:21:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:21:45):
That'd be pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (01:21:48):
I just don't know if I want to go through
the process of what you need to get those.
Speaker 2 (01:21:50):
It sounds painful.
Speaker 1 (01:21:51):
It does.
Speaker 2 (01:21:52):
Well, the Ray Gunn documentary dropped on Netflix yesterday. It's
part of the Untold series. It's called Ray Gunn, Breaking Badly,
Australian B-Girl Rachel Gunn. Early in the documentary, Rachel talks
about going to her therapist right before the Paris Olympics.
She said she was panicked. She made the appointment. The
therapist said, what is the worst that could happen? And
(01:22:13):
Ray Gunn said, she said, well, the whole world would
laugh at me. And the therapist said, do you think
that's reasonable? Turns out it was reasonable because everybody was laughing.
You feel kind of bad. Now, I've just seen maybe
the first 10 minutes of the documentary. It's only an
hour long. It's not long. And obviously, it was a
(01:22:35):
reasonable fear because every single human being watching breakdancing in
the Olympics was laughing at Ray Gunn. You see the
distress in her face in reaction to that kind of
trauma of being ridiculed worldwide. It's really sad. But she
also doesn't seem like she's that self-aware about it either.
Speaker 1 (01:22:57):
Meaning she's ignoring it or doesn't understand?
Speaker 2 (01:23:00):
I feel like she doesn't understand that it was ridiculous
for her to be in the Olympics.
Speaker 6 (01:23:05):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:23:06):
I don't think she understands that.
Speaker 1 (01:23:08):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (01:23:09):
I don't know how she ended up in the.
Speaker 1 (01:23:11):
Well, because she was basically one of the only ones
from the country that auditioned to do it. And I guess,
from what I heard, and I haven't watched the documentary yet,
but from what I heard... Her performance at the Olympics
was especially bad because of all the nerves and everything.
I guess there are other videos where she does a
much better job. Not full-blown Jabberwockies, B-boy stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:23:36):
She could have never competed with the other people in
the Olympics.
Speaker 3 (01:23:40):
Right.
Speaker 6 (01:23:40):
Some of them were amazing.
Speaker 2 (01:23:41):
Okay, so here's what happened. She actually was okay. I mean,
she could do breakdancing. She could breakdance.
Speaker 3 (01:23:50):
But.
Speaker 2 (01:23:52):
Apparently, she and her husband, her husband's the one who
taught her and brought her up in breakdancing when she
was in college, I guess they met. So they realized
that she was not going to be a competitor, like
a real competitor. She realized she was not nearly as
good as any of the other females who were going
to be there. So they decided to just incorporate some
non-breaking dance moves involving Australian culture, which is why she
(01:24:16):
did the... The kangaroo and the.
Speaker 6 (01:24:18):
Wow. Yeah, the.
Speaker 2 (01:24:21):
Waved her arms like a swimmer and pretended to be
a lawn sprinkler and all that just to sort of
stand out, I guess.
Speaker 1 (01:24:28):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:24:28):
But instead of making... She stood out. Exactly. I mean,
it really was just sort of sad, I guess, all
the way around.
Speaker 6 (01:24:34):
The other thing that bummed me out is that they
had her go first.
Speaker 2 (01:24:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:24:39):
So people saw that and went, well, this is stupid.
And then they didn't watch anymore. And they missed really
great breakdances.
Speaker 1 (01:24:44):
Oh, right.
Speaker 3 (01:24:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:24:45):
Um.
Speaker 1 (01:24:46):
Are you going to take basically worldwide humiliation to put
Olympic athlete on your resume? No.
Speaker 2 (01:24:54):
I don't like feeling humiliated by one person. Can you
imagine hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of millions of people
are laughing at you? That would be really tough to handle.
Speaker 1 (01:25:07):
Well, I think she just needs to star in Breaking 3,
Electric Boogaloo, Lou Lou Lou. Because you know what? You're
Lulu for thinking you should have been in the Olympics.
Speaker 2 (01:25:16):
What's hilarious is Break-In. The movie Break-In was what inspired
her husband to start breakdancing. He talks all about that.
Speaker 1 (01:25:24):
Break-In inspired a whole bunch of people to start breakdancing.
And then we got the cinnamon classic Break-In 2, Electric Boogaloo.
And then it was game over after that.
Speaker 5 (01:25:33):
I liked that one.
Speaker 2 (01:25:33):
Was that when they tried to save the community center?
Speaker 1 (01:25:35):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:25:35):
Oh, that was a good one.
Speaker 6 (01:25:36):
That was a terrible movie.
Speaker 5 (01:25:37):
I loved it.
Speaker 1 (01:25:38):
And Turbo's dancing on the ceiling.
Speaker 2 (01:25:39):
I loved it.
Speaker 1 (01:25:40):
Absolutely. So much better than Breaking.
Speaker 5 (01:25:44):
I agree.
Speaker 4 (01:25:44):
Beat Street was so much better than any other Breaking movie.
Speaker 1 (01:25:48):
If your name of your movie is Breaking 2 Electric Boogaloo,
you get an instant pass. That's all there is to it.
Speaker 2 (01:25:54):
That's right. Those are your three things.
Speaker 1 (01:25:56):
We have spent many a breaks on this show talking
about flat cameras and cameras everywhere. And you're always being recorded.
And there's nothing you can do about it. Pretty much
every moment from, well, inside your house, your laptop, computer, camera,
your phone, everything. You're always listening. Well, how would you
like to avoid the AI cameras? How would you like
(01:26:18):
to be able to hide from the AI cameras? Well,
a German designer has just created what they're describing as
kind of like a Hawaiian shirt. But it's not really
a Hawaiian shirt. It doesn't have like luau's or flowers
on it. But it does have this particular abstract pattern.
And basically, this particular pattern has been proven to work
(01:26:40):
as camouflage for AI-powered surveillance cameras. It's basically digital camouflage.
This shirt with the bright, vibrant colors and its particular
pattern is closer to random shapes than being like floral.
Which is why they're kind of calling it a Hawaiian shirt,
but not really. But the designer... says it can make
you invisible to many AI-powered cameras because AI doesn't know
what a human is. It's just learned to look at
(01:27:02):
certain things.
Speaker 3 (01:27:03):
Right.
Speaker 1 (01:27:03):
And with this shirt, it kind of blends and masks
everything that it doesn't know you're a human, so it
doesn't pick you up, basically. So, you can order this shirt.
They're selling them. It's not the best-looking shirt ever. It's short-sleeved.
It's buttoned up. And it's got, like I said, a
(01:27:24):
pretty funky design on it, very bright colors. And on
top of that, if you are going to spend money
on it, the designer does admit the design was created
with help from AI. AI is basically telling you what
will fool it.
Speaker 5 (01:27:40):
Oh, wow.
Speaker 1 (01:27:41):
But because AI is moving so fast and is always learning,
it probably won't last forever or very long for that matter.
So don't expect this to be your, you know. And
I'll be all invisibility cloak.
Speaker 6 (01:27:55):
That's what Vivian was hoping for. She's like, man, I
thought it was going to be an invisibility cloak.
Speaker 1 (01:27:58):
No, not an invisibility cloak. I am sorry. It's just
a regular old button-up shirt.
Speaker 6 (01:28:03):
You've got to go to Hogwarts for that.
Speaker 1 (01:28:06):
Yeah, or Dungeons and Dragons. They've got invisibility cloaks. So yeah,
you can check it out online if you want to
order it. Does it say how much it costs? I
want to click on the link here and see how
much it costs. They are selling them for... 75, 60. Oh,
they've got, they've got two of them. This one's a
(01:28:27):
hundred and this one's 75, 60. So they also do
have ladies. They have got a digital camouflage dress for $ 100.
It's a short-sleeved dress that comes down, you know, just
above the knee like any other dress. So, yeah, you could...
You can stay fashionable and do that as well if
you want to stay invisible.
Speaker 6 (01:28:44):
Also, keep in mind, people think, man, man, watch.
Speaker 5 (01:28:47):
Who's watching me?
Speaker 4 (01:28:48):
There's not somebody on the other side of the camera
watching everything you're doing, okay? Because that means there would
have to be 175 million people watching the other 175
million people in the country, and that's just not how
it works. They're there if something happens so they can
go back and reference it. That's what the flock is. Yeah,
but there might be one person who... Breaks in and
watches different cameras. I'm not saying everyone at all times
(01:29:09):
is being watched.
Speaker 1 (01:29:10):
But you can be watched.
Speaker 6 (01:29:11):
Some people look at a camera and go, they're watching
me right now. No, they're not.
Speaker 1 (01:29:15):
Probably not. So, yeah, check it out. Digitalcamouflage.org is the
name of the website. Now, let's see if we can
learn you something. Sit up and pay attention.
Speaker 5 (01:29:25):
Yeah, let's learn.
Speaker 1 (01:29:26):
You some stuff on a Wednesday morning. Make you a
little bit smarter than you were when you woke up today.
This one I did know. We've talked about this one before.
The scientific word for your stomach rumbling. Do you remember
the word, Thick? When you're hungry and your stomach growls.
Speaker 6 (01:29:41):
I do not remember the word.
Speaker 5 (01:29:43):
Borborygmus.
Speaker 1 (01:29:45):
Such a great word. Got a little bit of the borborygmus.
Did you know that according to one estimate, every time
you hit the space bar, an average of about 600,000
other people around the world are doing so at the
exact same time?
Speaker 6 (01:30:00):
I believe that.
Speaker 1 (01:30:00):
Yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 6 (01:30:02):
I mean, that is... Is there a key hit more?
Speaker 1 (01:30:05):
Oh, probably not. Yeah, you're probably right.
Speaker 6 (01:30:09):
Maybe enter, I guess, possibly. No, probably not.
Speaker 1 (01:30:12):
No, probably not. Did you know the deepest hole humans
have ever entered was my ex? I mean, the deepest
hole ever dug. The deepest hole ever dug is about 7.6
miles deep. Radius of the Earth is about 3,959 miles.
You've got a ways to go to get to the center,
(01:30:36):
don't you? We barely scratched the surface.
Speaker 6 (01:30:37):
That journey to the center of the Earth, man.
Speaker 1 (01:30:40):
That's like the first lick on a Tootsie Roll lollipop.
How many licks to get to the center?
Speaker 5 (01:30:47):
A whole bunch.
Speaker 1 (01:30:50):
Did you know that an actor by the name of
Barry Fitzgerald is the only person who's ever been nominated
at the Oscars for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor
for the same role? The Academy somehow nominated him for
both for the movie Going My Way in 1944. He
did win Best Supporting Actor.
Speaker 6 (01:31:09):
Oh, so he wasn't playing two roles.
Speaker 7 (01:31:12):
No.
Speaker 6 (01:31:12):
He really only had the one role.
Speaker 1 (01:31:13):
One role, nominated for both.
Speaker 6 (01:31:15):
So it was an accident.
Speaker 1 (01:31:15):
I don't know if it was an accident or what
they were doing, but yeah, they threw him on there
for both.
Speaker 6 (01:31:19):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:31:19):
He did win for Best Supporting Actor, not for Best Actor.
And finally, I thought about saving this for a gummy
thought to really blow someone's mind, but this is pretty interesting.
But true. We are all living in the past. Because...
Everything you see and process actually happened in the past
because it takes about 100 milliseconds for visual information to
(01:31:43):
connect to your brain.
Speaker 5 (01:31:44):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:31:44):
So everything you're seeing and processing has already happened.
Speaker 6 (01:31:48):
It's kind of like space. We see stars. That may
not be there anymore.
Speaker 1 (01:31:54):
Oh, absolutely.
Speaker 6 (01:31:54):
Because, you know, they blow up eventually.
Speaker 5 (01:31:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:31:57):
And we just haven't seen it yet because it's so
far away.
Speaker 1 (01:32:00):
We're seeing stuff from 2 billion years ago. We're just
now seeing stuff from 2 billion years ago. It's crazy
when you think about it.
Speaker 3 (01:32:04):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (01:32:05):
Absolutely.
Speaker 5 (01:32:06):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (01:32:06):
Learning some stuff on a Wednesday morning, 99.7 The Blitz.
