Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey, everyone, having a great week, gorgeous day to day,
high at seventy five, mostly sunny skies. Hopefully you can
get out and enjoy it. We are here, no arrests,
no bail money needed.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Everything was fine.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
I'm very happy.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
It's funny because it was ice.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
I look back, it was very much a middle aged
bachelor party.
Speaker 4 (00:25):
It was.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
We went, had a nice steak dinner, did a little gambling,
went to the hole in the wall where there was
terrible karaoke, and kind of just shot the stuff and
laughed a little bit.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
That was it.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
That's perfect.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (00:39):
You know what I liked about the terrible karaoke. They
didn't care. They were having the time of their lives.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
Oh yeah, great.
Speaker 5 (00:44):
I mean, you know, we heard a lot of bad singing,
but it was great.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
Isn't that what karaokes on exactly what?
Speaker 2 (00:51):
You got the people that enjoy it and have fun.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
You got the people that take it way too seriously
and they enter the contests and think they're on America's
Got talent. Plunder breaks are singing karaoke in wide field
like calm down.
Speaker 5 (01:05):
Then they had the Cowboys game on, so it was great.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
So all in all, a great time the Amazement.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Unfortunately, being a Saturday night, the casino itself was fairly
busy and all the crabs tables were taking up were
taken up. That was the goal, was to get stick
on a crab's table for the first time ever.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
But there was just no space. No, So my buddy
Scott and I.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
We were bouncing around because we enjoyed the slots, and
come around the corner and I forgot they had a
house and House of the Dragon slot machine the Game
of Thrones, you know, prequel whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Fix's eyes light up.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
He's watching this person play, and he goes, I have
no idea what's happening right now? And things are flash
and then go yeah, but the bonus if they get
an egg and then you wait for the egg of
crag And this woman finally gets up and I was like, Nick,
come here. If I sat down and I pumped some
money in. Now, this is one of their more expensive machines.
This one's ten dollars a roll. Wow, ten dollars?
Speaker 5 (02:00):
Does that? Mags? Can you bet lower?
Speaker 6 (02:02):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (02:02):
Okay, yeah you can, but it's up to ten, right,
But if you're bet lower, you're winning lower, right, you know?
Speaker 2 (02:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (02:07):
You want that big pie.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
So I'm hitting it and a couple of the eggs
and then the eggs are shaking and lighting up sticks
like it's gonna come out, and we go through it.
Nothing happens, and he looks at me, and we're there
for five four minutes.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
For four or five minutes, you don't go in through
the spence. I don't even think it was five minutes.
And I go, ah, man, that.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Didn't work out, and he goes, so you just lost
one hundred and fifty dollars and I go, yeah, oh
hell no, no, no, not doing this.
Speaker 5 (02:41):
That's why I don't go the nope. Yeah, I can never.
You're like, we stopped off going home.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
And then well then Scott ended up hitting.
Speaker 5 (02:58):
No no, but you fight another one. Oh yeah, and
he dropped another seventy dollars.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Yeah, and again I'm like, let me out of this place.
Speaker 5 (03:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
You have to be emotionally set up to go in
and have a good time despite losing mind. That has
to be okay with you for some of us, Like
I'm with you, think it stresses me out.
Speaker 5 (03:16):
I think just stout watching him just pump den ten.
Speaker 4 (03:20):
We're gonna throw money in there. I would expect to
win and I cannot. That's that's the wrong attitude.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
But I was very happy with myself. I went to
the bank before we went, before we went to the casino,
before we went to dinner. I left my debit card
at home. I did not go back to the agent.
I brought my set money and that was it.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
Good for you, that's it, that's exactly how to do it.
Speaker 5 (03:41):
Yeah, you gotta walk in with a dollar amount. You're like, Okay,
if I lose all this, that's shit. I'm fine, Fine,
that's just what I came for.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (03:48):
But then Scott played one and one and fifty bucks.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Nice, although that only partially makes up already lost before
you got to.
Speaker 5 (03:55):
Yeah, that's when I didn't see.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
Anyways, all in all, amazing, amazing time, amazing weekend. Nora
woke me up yesterday morning and said, let's go golf
in surprising of the round of golf.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
So we went on in goodful weather. Yeah, just all
in all, great weekends.
Speaker 5 (04:09):
Okay, I have a question.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Yeah, So we ate at.
Speaker 5 (04:11):
The final cut the restaurant at the casino and we
all had the rabbi. It was one of the best
steaks I ever ate my life. My question is bone
marrow butter. You have to make that or is there
somewhere I can just buy.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
It ready to make it. I have to get the
bone marrow and.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
Know how to make it. I've never made it before.
It can't be difficult. I mean you get the bone
and you heat it up. I mean it's, oh my god,
you char it. That was phenomenal.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
That's good. That's good. Then you take it, you put
it in the butter, and you whip up the butter and.
Speaker 5 (04:41):
They just put this doll up on top of the steak.
It just melts all over it. Oh my, I mean
it just melt in your mouth.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
Yeah. They did a good judge my first time at
Final Card. They do a good job. The good job.
Speaker 5 (04:51):
So anyways, how was your weekend, Kelly?
Speaker 3 (04:53):
It was good. I got to eat Greek food.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
I never get to eat Greek food because Charlie does
not like Greek food.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Okay, but he.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
Was out of town on Saturdays.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
I'm like, you know what, I any Greek food that's good,
ordered it, went and picked it up and I had
a lovely meal myself on Saturday. Okay, but yeah, great weekend.
Whether for the most part was amazing, very nice.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
Oh I think I know you had a good weekend.
Speaker 5 (05:15):
I did good. I did other than a little I
guess call it sticker shock, right, Yeah, yeah, there is that.
And there's hundreds and hundreds of these machines that somebody's
in every one of them.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
And that's that's you know.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
I mean, granted, it's a decent sized casino, but that's
one little casino in Columbus, Ohio.
Speaker 5 (05:32):
Not to imagine how much money's flowing into those things
in Vegas. My god, it does.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
Make you want to own one doesn't want.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Even if you put up a line of really cheap
old machines, you're still going to get people to play
strip mall. Let's go all right, Well, we've got a
very busy Monday I had, including your tickets for Zucchini Fest.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
We're gonna get your VIP to that. We've got gummy thoughts.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
And I want to know what you can no longer
raw dog, what you can no longer just jump into
with no planning. Because on Saturday, when she when Nora
knew that you know, we were heading out, Scott was coming,
we were gonna take go do lunch, she woke up
and she goes, now, I'm gonna take the boys to
King's Island, and then she started getting ready and she
(06:21):
immediately regretted.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
She goes, I'm too old to just be raw Dog
and amusement park. You can't just wake up and go
that you got a press.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
She's like, I didn't carbload yesterday. Like I'm not mentally
prepared for that.
Speaker 5 (06:31):
You're too old to just.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Raw Dog an amusement part like that. So we'll talk
about that coming up here about seven forty. Right now,
let's go with blitz Morning Trivia.
Speaker 5 (06:38):
Al Right, twenty five bucks up for grabs to water
bedroom stuff if you're the first one to text and
be correct. Answer question what YouTuber was tracked and caught
by one hundred Indiana State Police troopers? Tell us who
the YouTuber is? First one to text it in at
eight hundred eight eight hundred eight two one ninety nine seven. Oh,
we'll give you the gift card.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
Alright, let's get that answer from Blitzing Trivia.
Speaker 5 (07:00):
The question was what YouTuber was tracked and caught by
one hundred Indiana State Police troopers, and it was mister beast.
Really yeah, okay, now hold on, it's not like he
was under arrest here and I think we talked about
something like this not long ago, if you could put
yourself in some sort of fantasy situation, you know, and
(07:20):
kind of experience, and I think that came up, you know,
running like a high speed chase from the rants kind
of thing, the police, right, the police. So that's what
they were doing. It was him and four friends. On Saturday,
they posted this video he got you know, they got
hundred by one hundred real cops. Twenty one minute video
followed him and his friends as they tracked as they
(07:41):
were tracked by these one hundred Indiana State Police troopers
for over twelve hours. It was a it was kind
of a contest for the troopers who were successful in
capturing all of them before the time ran out. So
they won five hundred thousand dollars, you know, And the
agency said the troopers participating in the video were off
duty Indiana State Police Police were paid for the use
of all equipment. Everything was covered and it was like
(08:04):
a challenge, right, and they cool, Yeah, I would that
would be fun, Absolutely, I would a good time. Dylan
King from Danville first going to text and the correct
answer scores the twenty five bucks to waterbeds and stuff.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
You know, I had I was gonna bring up this question.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
It's really interesting that this article happened to pop up
because I was thinking about. We were watching some preseason
football and stuff and I saw an interview. What was
the Oh, it's called Official Visit. It's with Rhys Davis
on ESPN.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
Oh. Yeah, it's one of these.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
Shows where it's almost like Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians and Cars
getting Coffee, where he sits down with like someone involved
in sports and they're having a nonchalant conversation about everything.
And he was with one coach from Texas. I can't
remember what coach. He was in a car and it
was a Ferrari that they were driving in. And I'm
thinking to myself, do coaches buy like luxury sports cars
(08:57):
like Ferrari's. You know, the athletes do. They're out there
buying some fancy, flashy sports car.
Speaker 5 (09:03):
A lot of guys love cars, probably, but do coaches?
Speaker 1 (09:07):
Are they pulling up in their mercury stable we like,
I just I don't see a coach.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
Pulling up in a fray.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
Coach is not making as much money as his players are.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Well, it's inesting.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
You say that because there's an article that just came
out about Lane Kiffin. Now, if you don't know about
the Lane Kiffin story, he was a coach for Old Miss.
They were getting ready for the playoffs, they were doing great,
and then all of a sudden, he jumps ship and
takes a job at LSU for ninety one million dollars.
I mean, he's the high, if not the highest page
like a twelve million year or something like that. But
(09:38):
it got so bad that Old Miss called the FBI
and got the FBI involved to double check the offices
to make sure that Lane Kiffen wasn't bugging the coaches
or the administration staff to take with him to LSU.
So they actually got the FBI involved in all this.
(09:58):
But when you're dealing with ninety one million dollars in contracts,
it's a big deal.
Speaker 5 (10:03):
Who was Jay Leno? You wouldn't I wouldn't you know
When I see Jay Leno on TV, he's that kind
of guy I would think would be driving around a Ferrari.
But this guy's got an unbelievable.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
He's got hundreds of cars. Yeah, yeah, no, he's a
car guy. Yeah, he's always been a car guy. But yeah,
I was just thinking. I was like, you don't.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
See like my Detroit Lions, I'm dreating Dan Campbell probably
has like a jacked up F one fifty Raptor right,
Like he's got the top of the line like.
Speaker 5 (10:27):
A monster truck, right exactly.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
But he's not driving a sports car. But I wonder
if any other coaches pulling up in there, Uh you
know what's it called?
Speaker 7 (10:37):
It?
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Not a Ducati that's a bike, but one of those
like super expensive Since what is Ryan Day?
Speaker 5 (10:44):
Oh that's a good question. What does Ryan Day drive?
Speaker 3 (10:47):
Because he's making.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
He's making bank.
Speaker 5 (10:49):
Yeah, he's making an eight mill nine million year Mercedes. AMG.
I was gonna say a AMG.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
Yeah, that's that's a suit up Mercedes right there.
Speaker 5 (10:58):
Okay, the weekend cars of Scarlett Ford Bronco.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
That's cool.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
Okay, so it's not the sports car, but it's a
high end car that seems more like a coach the
players of the Orange drive in the sports cars. Yeah. Anyways,
on my mind, some of the blitz.
Speaker 8 (11:17):
Not so breaking news. The news already broke. We're trying
to put it back together.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Our first story takes us over to San Diego.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
And we've talked about instances like this before where if
you ever get to see video city council meetings, some
of them are quite entertaining because you know, anyone's allowed
to show up at a city council meeting if there's
something on the docket you want to talk about.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
They've got open forums.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
And people have shown up saying and doing some pretty
interesting things. Well, here we are yet again, as Darth
Vader attended the San Diego City Council meeting talking about
FLOT cameras and surveillance and constant surveillance with these flat
cameras than a big story of the past many weeks,
(12:01):
and what they're doing with this information and how the
flot cameras should be properly used or how they're not
being properly used. We've had many news stories of officers
like stalking exes by pulling out FLOT camera info and
stuff like that. Well, what does Darth Vader think about
flock cameras? Here he is talking to the San Diego
City Council.
Speaker 9 (12:19):
Thank you, Darth Vader, the Emperor is a fan of
flock because we all know that the flock cameras are
not only following the license plate readers.
Speaker 10 (12:31):
They are following children so that we can follow and
surveil the rebel scum as they move from playground to playground,
from playground to pool, from pool to gymnasium. I need
this so I can stock my ex girlfriend. This technology
will help us find Luke Skywalker in his X wing.
Speaker 5 (12:48):
Oh my gosh, now here's the thing.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
News stories all across San Diego and California picked up
on this story, like, what is going on. We're letting
Darth Vader talk US council meetings. Now, official news outlets
left and right reporting on this. Well, they were all
fooled because that whole thing is fake. Someone set up
like a green screen and actually was saying the words,
(13:12):
but he was saying it to no one. He just
creen screened the city council meeting in the background. He
wasn't really at the city council meeting. But boy did
they report on it. They jumped all over it, and
it looks it looks real the way it's done. So
that's again, you gotta know, you got to keep an
eye out and really research what's real and what's not
(13:33):
out there, especially if you're a news outlet.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
We used to get fooled by onion articles and how
you get fooled by AI videos screen videos.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Absolutely damn. Story number two takes us over to Houston.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
You know, we have seen this many times in movies
where police are chasing some sort of lawbreaking citizen and
at times maybe that the lawbreaking citizen has themselves a
vehicle and the officers standing.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
There going not next to my patrol car. And then
so what do they do.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
They take out their badge and they jump in front
of a car on the street. They're saying, I need
to comment to you your car. Well, it actually happened.
Kind of police were in pursuit of someone who was
very very fast. This guy was fleet of foot, he
could move and the officers could not keep up with him.
So the officers grabbed Anthony Baines, an uber driver who
(14:26):
was in the area, and jumped in his car and said,
follow that man, take a listenin.
Speaker 7 (14:40):
Got in my vehicle and ordered me to go chase
down in the suspect just running out there. A gentlemen,
I have cops ordered me to do things. I'm gonna comply.
He was extremely fast. I didn't think they would be
able to catch him off. But I didn't know what
my rights were at the moment. I'm glad I was
able to help, right.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
What do you say?
Speaker 5 (14:59):
No, dude, be you guys.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
Anthony did tell the officers, I'm a block away from
picking someone up, like someone's waiting for me. So what
do you do if you're standing there watching your uber
driver a block away?
Speaker 2 (15:08):
All right, we're getting ready.
Speaker 5 (15:09):
Wait wait, wait, wait, got he's going fast.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
He's going real fast.
Speaker 5 (15:14):
But officer ever wants to jump in the passenger side
of my truck and have me chase somebody for them.
I will open to come on, let's go.
Speaker 4 (15:23):
If the suspect has a gun or something, I'm like, no,
thank you. You can have my car and you can
chase them. I don't want any part of it.
Speaker 5 (15:30):
Oh, I'm happy to.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
I'm going, man, that's gonna be my wheelman. Oh my god,
pulling the e break, let's go.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
I'm gonna roll down my window and make my own siren. Yeah. Anyways,
between all that, they did not find the man.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
He outran the car as well, So Houston police are
stoleny look for this suspect.
Speaker 5 (15:57):
Oh my god, there you got You're not so breaking?
Is nine eighty seven, the Blitz.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
So last week we did a thing and we had
some fun with it. I figure, let's do it again.
I was doom scrolling a little bit, yes spoo over
morning coffee, and I found some more of these videos where.
Speaker 5 (16:15):
Basically it's singers doing things.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
Okay, So I want you to imagine, if you will,
Courtney Love and she is. Her job is standing outside
on the corner being one of those sign spinners, because
you know, the going out of business people and they've
got the big arrow signs and they stand and they
spin the sign.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
Yeah exact, everything must go yep.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
So this is Courtney Love as a out of business
sales sign spinner.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
Yep. I think she's perfect for the job. Uh.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Speaking of Courtney Love, what if Kurt Cobain was a plumber.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
That is now, dudey, you completely don't you?
Speaker 4 (17:36):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (17:37):
What if what if Prince had himself and taste a
really bad cup of coffee?
Speaker 2 (17:46):
Listen, you never had a backup of coffee, you know?
Speaker 3 (18:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (18:02):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
Robert Plant led Zeppelin, Robert Plant love to Bay. I
don't know if you know that, but Robert Plant loved
to bake. This is Robert Plant baking a fresh pie.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
You need cool.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
You gotta put that pie in the window sill. You
gotta let it go off a little bit. Where do
you get in there?
Speaker 3 (18:30):
Uh?
Speaker 5 (18:31):
What about Roger Waters?
Speaker 1 (18:33):
Roger Waters waiting for a restroom?
Speaker 2 (18:39):
Hello?
Speaker 6 (18:42):
Is there anybody in?
Speaker 1 (18:49):
And finally, finally, I love this one. This is Michael
Stipe from em And let's say you're meeting Michael Stipe
at a restaurant, right, but he's already there and you
walk in looking for him.
Speaker 5 (19:06):
That's me in the corner. Oh man, you're gonna find him.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
They're gonna find him. He's gonna make it very very
easy to find him, for sure. Oh man, I love
those so much. Yeah. Some of the blitz.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
Well, as previously shared Saturday night, was, uh, I guess
what you would call my bachelor party?
Speaker 2 (19:36):
What does a middle aged bachelor party look like? We did?
Speaker 1 (19:40):
We go and get a whole bunch of naked women
and strippers. No, which, by the way, thank you very
much to Sirens for what they attempted to do. I
did not realize that they were gonna do this because
we were talking about it on Friday and we were
talking about maybe going now. None of us are a
huge strip guys. It was just gonna be like, Oh,
(20:02):
it's a bachelor party, what do you do?
Speaker 2 (20:03):
You got to tipot.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
We were gonna swing by for like a drink or whatever,
and come to find out, the people over at Sirens
went all out. Uh they had an actual banner made
for me on a blitzpace. I should I feel so
bad that it just wasn't in the cards to make
it all the way out there. But Francis and the
(20:25):
crew over at the at Sirens, thank you so much.
I mean, they had a big goose, don't do it?
Two weeks left to escape, you know, and they had
a picture of a goose on there, and yeah, we
just it just never worked out. So no, we did
not get We did not get a whole bunch of
naked women. Uh did we end up in the high
Rollers suite playing black jack one thousand?
Speaker 2 (20:44):
No, we didn't do that.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
What we did do is we went to Sloopy is
a little hole in the wall bar and played a
couple of rounds. So would you rather that's what a
That's what a middle aged bachelor party looks like, a
couple of guys sitting around. But I did have one,
and I want to put it out there. Oh yeah,
was this you were, Scott? I can't remember, or was
it this random stranger who came up with this one.
Speaker 5 (21:04):
I thought it was somebody from the bar.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
Anyways, it was a great would you rather? It really
got me thinking, okay, ninety ninety seven, I want your
argument as to which one you would want?
Speaker 2 (21:17):
Would you rather watch your parents?
Speaker 5 (21:20):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (21:20):
Yes, have sex every single day, like you have to
watch a session or jump in one time and then
it's over with gross?
Speaker 5 (21:36):
That was Scott, that was yes, that was I would rather.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
Just walk straight into the deep blue sea. Right, That
is what my choice is.
Speaker 5 (21:44):
If those are the two options you take.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
C walk into the deep blue sea?
Speaker 5 (21:49):
Oh my gosh, I can't even.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
I don't know. I mean, man, jump in one time?
You never have to do jump in?
Speaker 5 (22:02):
What is jump in constitute? That's what I wanted to.
I need to, but I just gotta. I don't know.
I'm gonna be blindfolded and just moms getting spit roasted.
Speaker 3 (22:12):
God, that is really weird. It got you guys.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
Got weird atle weird.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
I'm not gonna lie. It's it's pretty awful, just all around.
It's awful, no matter what which those are the best?
Speaker 2 (22:28):
Would you rather?
Speaker 1 (22:29):
Because there is just really no, there is no good
answer either way.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
Absolutely yes, no matter what.
Speaker 5 (22:39):
Christ As I'm watching while leading popcorn. Oh god, no,
you are twisted, Eric, Mom's cheeks are getting closed. Okay,
there's more like jump off a cliff. Oh man, Oh
all right, stop with the text.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
Never mind.
Speaker 5 (22:59):
It's like a was gonna have a horrible turn.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
Oh my god. Oh some of these tech you guys.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
Yeah, yeah, we're gonna stop bad idea. This is an
awful idea all the way around. Now, the three things
you need to know before you go.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
Interesting development.
Speaker 4 (23:22):
In the case of the four suspects charged with child
endangerment involving sixteen children found in a home in Vinton County,
the State Attorney General's office says, in addition to all
four defendants facing felony and misdemeanor counts of endangering children,
the parents of those children, thirty six year old Gary
Siders Junior and thirty three year old Elizabeth Siders, are
each facing two felony counts of sexual battery and two
(23:45):
felony counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. This
is a whole separate in case and does not involve
any member of their immediate family, and it's why police
originally went to their home to investigate, before they even
knew there were sixteen children there.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
They were investigating this case, I guess.
Speaker 4 (24:02):
Back in twenty twenty two, Gary Junior and Christina are
accused of engaging in sexual conduct with a minor, not
a member of their family. There's a whole other thing
going on here as well, and two other people were
arrested in that case. So very very twisty turney story.
There court today for the couple who recently climbed to
(24:24):
the top of the Empire State Building Influences.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
Angela Nicolau and Ivan.
Speaker 4 (24:28):
Birkis, who are from Russia but they live in New Jersey,
got engaged at the top in staunt Unjuly first we
all saw it. They are facing a list of charges
including felony, burglary, and criminal trespassing. Well unknownst to me,
astronauts have long complained that they cannot poop in space,
and do you think, well, yeah, like, I can't even
(24:52):
go when I'm on.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
Vacation because everything's too weird and.
Speaker 4 (24:55):
I'm eating weird food and I don't feel comfortable.
Speaker 3 (24:57):
In the hotel bathroom.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
Maybe holes is just not qu it's not.
Speaker 4 (25:01):
But thanks to a NASA funded study, we know why
astronauts can't poop in space.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
Fifty two astronauts.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
Who spent at least two months on the International Space
Station provided four hundred blood samples to scientists who found
that life in microgravity slows the movement of food through
the intestines and often lasts until astronauts are back on Earth.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
Like you, kind of.
Speaker 4 (25:28):
It kind of kind of grinds to a halt in
there in some way, and then it just sort of
starts doing a bunch of things it's not really supposed
to do it, including producing ammonia and hydrogen sulfide, which
can cause kidney problems, inflammation problems. It can cause issues
with mood and concentration because all you can think of
(25:50):
is I really need to poop and I can't.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
That doesn't sound healthy.
Speaker 5 (25:54):
It's not.
Speaker 4 (25:56):
So they're trying to figure out how to fix this,
how to stimulate digestion. They're thinking of drugs, massage, probiotics,
high fiber.
Speaker 3 (26:04):
Diet, et cetera.
Speaker 4 (26:05):
So it's something they've got to fix before we can
spend any lengthier time in space.
Speaker 5 (26:09):
Is it different, like if you're inside the space station.
Speaker 4 (26:12):
No, that's where they did it. They're inside the spaces
where they did.
Speaker 5 (26:15):
The start couple that was up there for months.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
Yeah, they're nothing. They don't poop. I'm saying they much
more difficult difficult time.
Speaker 4 (26:24):
Yeah, so anyway, uh, the more you know, yeah, right,
those are your three things?
Speaker 3 (26:31):
All right?
Speaker 2 (26:32):
How cool are you?
Speaker 1 (26:34):
Do you remember, you know, doing something you thought was
cool and a younger person.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
Was like, that's not that's not how that works anymore.
Speaker 1 (26:43):
Well, it happens every generation. Every generation has got their
own things, their own you know, buzzwords, their own cool activities.
And now gen Zers are stepping up to let millennials
know the generation you know that came before for them
what is cool and not cool anymore? So this is
(27:04):
coming from the gen zers who are what now the
upper teens and early twenties, right is that gen zs?
Speaker 5 (27:11):
We got alphas now yeah?
Speaker 1 (27:13):
Right, yeah, so these are the these are the trend centers,
the twenty year.
Speaker 5 (27:16):
Old they came, they figured out gen X doesn't care
what they think, so now they're moving on to the
to the moment.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
Well, yeah, I mean, but gen Zers were the ones
that tried to tried to get us.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
But you're right, we don't care at all whatsoever.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
But according to gen Zers, for you millennials out there,
taking photos of your food and posting it online not
cool anymore.
Speaker 5 (27:35):
I couldn't agree more.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
I don't think it was ever.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
Cool, but whatever, stop posting those you know, Stop sitting
there and taking all the photos of your food and
posting it online.
Speaker 3 (27:44):
That's why I love seeing pictures of people sitters.
Speaker 4 (27:47):
I do, really, That's why I got on Instagram to
see people's meals.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
Now I do love. I do love the recipe reels.
I want to see the food being made so I
can make it, but I don't need just.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
To make sure the meal you head at the restaurant.
Speaker 5 (28:02):
Also not cool anymore. I did a thing.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
The phrase I did a thing like when you go
buy a car, you post a picture of a new
car and you're like, I did.
Speaker 3 (28:13):
A thing as get engage a thing.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
Yes, ye, skinny jeans.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
According to gen Zers, skinny jeans are out reminds them
of Groo from Despicable Me with them super tight pants.
Speaker 5 (28:30):
They made a comeback, Oh did they?
Speaker 2 (28:31):
Yeah? They made a comeback For a while I.
Speaker 4 (28:33):
Think for people who aren't gen Z, you could just
wear whatever you want and whatever you feel comfortable and good.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
And that is true. Here's what.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
I've never heard anyone do this, but I guess millennials
did it. Sometimes if I heard someone do this, I
might actually physically slap someone.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
Uh saying l O l out loud instead of just.
Speaker 5 (28:51):
Laughing keys, she says. She also says b RB.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
That's usually when I say, BRB.
Speaker 5 (28:57):
You heard her leave the studio and go BRB.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
Maybe I see BRB doesn't bother me as much, but
saying low low, I don't know if.
Speaker 3 (29:05):
I say that as much as I would BRB.
Speaker 4 (29:08):
Maybe I have done that, but yeah, I'm just more.
Speaker 5 (29:10):
Of a I remember saying that, but I'm.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
Laugh open toad shoes are out. According to sense, Yes,
monochrome furniture is out.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
I didn't know that was ever.
Speaker 1 (29:25):
End the term adulting is out. I'm adulting today. You
know you're paying your bills, you're mowing the grass. Oh
I did a good job adulting today.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
Yeah, that was annoying within ten minutes.
Speaker 5 (29:36):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (29:37):
Also side parts in your hair.
Speaker 3 (29:40):
Yeah, I've heard about that.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
Do you know what? Yeah? Do you know?
Speaker 1 (29:46):
Maybe it correct me if I'm wrong. The side part,
obviously is the one on the side and you take
your hair and you put it. That's like one of
the sexiest things in the world to me. I love
a side part. Oh, I love it. I think that
that adds to your hotness.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (30:01):
A middle part is it can be difficult to pull
off for something you mine's a little off center.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
I have to do an off center.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
It is a little crooked. Yeah, yeah, that's you're right.
Speaker 4 (30:14):
I do an off center part. It's just where my
hair naturally goes. And I don't fight it, baby, yeah
why But yeah, this it really calls attention to the
symmetry in your face the right.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Yeah, your part needs a little V eight it does.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (30:36):
High waisted jeans are out apparently, so you can't have
skinny jeans.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
You can't have high.
Speaker 3 (30:40):
Waisted Oh my gosh.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
Okay, just need regular genes.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
And finally, apparently, according to gen Z, for millennials, people
who do the Jim Carrey face are automatically cringey.
Speaker 2 (30:51):
Which faces I don't know.
Speaker 1 (30:55):
I guess if you're doing like a if you're trying
to imitate a center or something. They say, if you
do that then you're stuck in the nineties and refuse
to grow up. It's an original and it makes people
feel uncomfortable. Okay, so no more Jim Carrey faces apparently.
So if you're if you want to make any change
in your life, feel free to do so.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
If you care what millennials think.
Speaker 4 (31:20):
Then no, because if you do do everything they say,
they tell you you're trying too hard. So really, what
you need to do is just live your life.
Speaker 2 (31:30):
Matt, I could not agree with you more.
Speaker 1 (31:31):
As someone tell Gen Zither, Lama haircuts are dumb. Every
teenage boy looks exactly the same now. They all have
that poofy Lama haircut and want to be the.
Speaker 4 (31:42):
Justin Bieber haircut, like we've all had a haircut. For
me in the seventies, they had the Pixie haircut and
the Dorothy Hamil Oh.
Speaker 1 (31:50):
I went so far as to frost my tips of
my curly hair exactly like Justin Timberlake in two thousand
or sure even imagine, Oh, I was you know what,
it actually was a good look. I pulled it off
because I had the Ying Yang leather necklace and the
ear rings in each year.
Speaker 4 (32:08):
Yeah, did any of you go through either of you
go through a turquoise phase.
Speaker 2 (32:13):
No, I definitely didn't go through a turquoise phase.
Speaker 4 (32:15):
Sounds like that happens to ladies and gents at some
point in their lives, a turquoise phase that.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
The late teens.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
When when do you get into the turqoise phase? Because
that sounds grandma ish to me. Yeah, it seems like
a turqoise phase would come later in life.
Speaker 4 (32:28):
I think it's when you're trying to really branch out
and just coming individuals.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
Well, get out there and be cool.
Speaker 1 (32:37):
Yeah, it's a Monday morning and very busy week ahead.
We are now eleven days away from the wedding, so
there's a lot going on.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
A lot to be prepared for.
Speaker 1 (32:48):
So I wanted to make sure I was well rested
this week to take care of everything I had to
take care of, and so I took some extra gummies
last night to make sure I got a good night's sleep. Unfortunately,
the gummies kicked in before I dozed off, so my
mind started wandering. And here's a couple of my gummy
thoughts from last night. Your whole life is just a
short break from not existing. Yeah, you do not exist
(33:14):
a whole hell of a lot longer than you do. Yeah,
so brief, so Brie, So get out there to enjoy it.
Drop that one hundred and fifty dollars into the sat machine.
Thick thought about this for falling asleep last night. What
about homeless people rob a bank? If you succeed, you
(33:39):
have money. If you don't, you have a roof over
your head, a bed, and three meals a day.
Speaker 2 (33:46):
The win win situation.
Speaker 3 (33:47):
Yeah, there's no downside.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
Yeah, that's what I'd be doing.
Speaker 5 (33:50):
That's what I'll end up if I keep going to
that casino.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
Yeah, buddy, I thought about this for falling asleep last night.
What if you you know how sometimes you walk into
a room and you're like, what the hell did I
come in here for? You just instantly forget why you
walked in that room. What if there's an alien with
the men in black neuralizer that blue lights use so
they can get away?
Speaker 3 (34:16):
Wow, I never thought of love.
Speaker 2 (34:19):
It come around the corner of pink?
Speaker 5 (34:21):
How did I walk in here for? That's awesome?
Speaker 2 (34:24):
Alien like sneaking out the back door.
Speaker 5 (34:30):
I'm gonna tell my thatself. That happened every time every
sing that, and it happens a lot.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
You forget damn alien. And finally this one. This it's
a short list because this one really got me. I
spent a lot of time thinking about this last night.
This really upset me. Santa Claus is a real a hole, Okay,
because if you think about it, Rudolph is bullied his
(34:55):
entire life, right, Santa does nothing about it. He just
sits back and watch poor little Rudolph being bullied his
entire life, and then all of a sudden dire conditions
can't see a thing out there. Hey, Rudolph, jump in front,
so if we hit something, you die first, and maybe
(35:16):
we the rest of us can survive.
Speaker 6 (35:18):
Bully him.
Speaker 4 (35:19):
Yes, it's a big user.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
He's like, I don't you're you know you're weird. Uh,
there's something wrong with you. Oh I need you now.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
You are good for one thing, to head out front
and maybe run into something.
Speaker 2 (35:36):
First, your gummy.
Speaker 5 (35:37):
Just let us to the conclusion that in Rudolph the
Red Nose Reindeer, Santa Clauses the villain.
Speaker 3 (35:44):
There are multiple threads on how he's such a villain
in that show. Wow.
Speaker 4 (35:49):
Yeah, I love to lay and think about that sometimes
because I agree. If you have seen that show, recently
within the last couple of years.
Speaker 3 (35:58):
It will infuriate you.
Speaker 1 (36:01):
He's basically like the Zach Morris of the holiday world.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
Like everyone's like, oh, Zach Morris.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
No, if you go back and walk, Zach was a dick,
Like he was not a good person.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
Yeah, and you know what, sorry, Sandy, you're really not either.
Speaker 3 (36:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (36:16):
If you want Rudolph out there leading your you should
treat him better. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:21):
Donner wasn't any better. But that's another whole story.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
Yeah, and that was his dad, his own day. Dad
didn't even step up.
Speaker 5 (36:30):
He just put some muddle on that just a gosh,
watch of big old reindeer a holes.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
He defined himself at the Land of the Fit Toys.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
Anyways, those are my gummy thoughts. Woke up Saturday in
mental preparation for what was going to be an amazing day.
I knew that, uh, my best friend Scott was coming
to town and we were going to meet up and
hang out and you know, grab some lunch, grab a cocktail,
throw some darts, do something fun in the afternoon, and
then we were going to meet up it's thick later
(37:01):
to have a steak dinner, go to the casino and
just all around good time. So Saturday morning, as we're
having coffee in bed. Now, let me also preface this
with Friday nights, Nora and I went out to dinner.
We checked off a restaurant on one of our on
our list of restaurants we wanted to try, Taj on
Fifth right over here down.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
On Fifth Street. The amazing Yeah so good. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (37:23):
I got the chicken Tiki massala and the Lamb Stops.
Speaker 4 (37:29):
I have actually been there, it hasn't been it's been
a while.
Speaker 3 (37:32):
They are such a good restaurant.
Speaker 2 (37:34):
So good. Oh.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
We I did something, both Nora and I did something
we haven't done in a long time. Literally ate ourselves sick.
Like we got in the car and we were we
were driving home and I'm like, oh god, we get
on like, we go home, get on the couch.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
Both of us are just.
Speaker 1 (37:51):
Like, oh, it's hard to stop eating.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
Yeah. So we were in bed way early Friday.
Speaker 1 (37:59):
So unnaturally we woke up early Saturday morning. We're having
our coffee in bed and Nora goes.
Speaker 5 (38:05):
You know, you're busy.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
All day hanging out with the boys and deer things.
Just I'm gonna take the kids to King's Island because
She's got her summer pass, her annual pass Receudar Point,
and that works at King's Island because they're the same
company now, and because of the annual pass, she gets
discounted tickets for the boys. So they went down there
and had a great time. But as she's getting dressed,
(38:26):
she goes, you know, this is a terrible idea. She said,
I am too old to be raw dog and amusement parks.
I can't just wake up the day off and he
hit an amusement park. You got to mentally and physically.
Speaker 2 (38:39):
Prepare for that.
Speaker 1 (38:40):
You know you're about to get your twenty thousand steps in.
You know you're about to get shake, rattled and rolled
on all the roller coasters, and it's gonna physically abuse you.
Speaker 5 (38:50):
Because I think car blowed yesterday.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
I didn't do nothing.
Speaker 1 (38:53):
Can't just be jumping in at this age and raw
dog and amusement park. But it brought up a funny conversation,
what can.
Speaker 2 (39:00):
You raw dog anymore? What are you too old to
just jump in and do?
Speaker 5 (39:04):
Darry, I gotta prep for that. Yeah, I gotta either
sit my bill or.
Speaker 3 (39:13):
Know that prep for something that's still you gotta.
Speaker 1 (39:17):
Clear your schedule for the rest of the night, because
you know, a lot of it's gonna be spent in
the bathroom.
Speaker 5 (39:23):
Events. What kind of event, Dog's.
Speaker 1 (39:29):
Got a good one? I found out yesterday I'm too
old to just jump down off the back of a
pickup truck bed. My knees and hips are killing me.
I gotta prepare for that. I get it.
Speaker 5 (39:41):
Going to a Buckeye football game. It used to be,
you know, we were prepping by drinking the night before,
five hours of sleep, jump out of bed, you campas tailgate,
you know, just like nothing, and it was.
Speaker 2 (39:57):
No big deal.
Speaker 5 (39:57):
Now it's like, no, no drinking the night before a
good night sleep. It's all man, got a stretch in
the morning before you go, you know. Yeh, So definitely,
I would say definitely.
Speaker 1 (40:11):
Raw dogging a school night into a morning show, because
back back in the twenties and early thirties, I have
no problem going out on a Tuesday night, I'm going
to do in the morning show.
Speaker 2 (40:22):
Not anymore, it's a problem now. Eight hundred and eight
two one ninety nine seven zero. What can't you just
raw dog anymore?
Speaker 1 (40:29):
You're at an age now where you need to physically,
mentally spiritually prep for whatever is about to go down.
Matt says, I can't raw dog yard work anymore. Gotta
have a big breakfast percocet iduprofen failure.
Speaker 2 (40:44):
I gotta get that stretch on before you're out there
doing all that yard work.
Speaker 5 (40:47):
Jimmy Fralis is moving furniture.
Speaker 3 (40:50):
Oh yeah, you got to mentally and physically prep for that.
Speaker 1 (40:53):
That is a big one. Yeah, you're the day before,
you're stretching and reaching. The morning off, you're doing some yoga.
Speaker 5 (41:00):
Uh yeah, your yes, Roger four days of Sonic Temple.
Speaker 2 (41:07):
That is a prep. Yeah, that is definitely a prep.
Speaker 5 (41:10):
Yeah. He's Jack could jump up and go to a
concert any moment, no problem.
Speaker 2 (41:14):
Yeah, oh wait, should we go? Let's go? They got tickets, nail,
but let's go right now?
Speaker 5 (41:20):
Am I okay, let's go.
Speaker 2 (41:21):
Not having it.
Speaker 1 (41:21):
Anymore, Ashley says, sounds silly, but I deep cleaned all
the cabinets in my kitchen and drawers.
Speaker 2 (41:28):
I am so sore three days later. Yep.
Speaker 1 (41:31):
If you're doing that that housework and you're on your
hands and knees, you're putting in some elbow grease, that's
gonna that's gonna affect you.
Speaker 2 (41:38):
You gotta prepare for that.
Speaker 4 (41:39):
I would say anything that takes more than like ninety
minutes two hours to get there halfway through, I'm regretting
it if I haven't mentally prepared for it.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
Okay, yeah, uh blitz hi, who's this? Hey Jiffy, Hey Jesse?
Speaker 5 (41:53):
What do you have to mentally prepare for now?
Speaker 11 (41:55):
What?
Speaker 2 (41:55):
Can't you just jump in and raw dog anymore?
Speaker 4 (41:58):
Unfortunately I can't jump in and do the mosh pit anymore.
Speaker 2 (42:03):
Yeah. I tried it not too long ago, and oh
it almost killed me.
Speaker 3 (42:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (42:10):
You're getting in there and getting pushed and shoved around.
That's gonna leave a lasting physical.
Speaker 2 (42:14):
Impression on you for a couple of days. La Jesse.
I appreciate the call man, Thank you so much.
Speaker 5 (42:20):
Anthony said, I decided Saturday morning to get up early
and catch the boat for Putting Bay and crash my
sister's girls trip. I can no longer just raw a
dog going to put In Bay with a bunch.
Speaker 2 (42:28):
Of twenty two year olds. Oh yeah, no, a bunch
of twenty two year olds not happening.
Speaker 4 (42:34):
Any one, says. I used to be able to ride
roller coasters, no problem. Now I have to consider which
one's gonna.
Speaker 3 (42:39):
Give me a migraine?
Speaker 2 (42:40):
Yep, oh no, yeah.
Speaker 1 (42:42):
You got those wooden roller coasters and those spine crackers
will good show.
Speaker 2 (42:46):
Nobody likes those anyway, Jordan says.
Speaker 1 (42:48):
Laying on your back on the garage floor under your
truck getting some work done.
Speaker 2 (42:52):
Yeah, yeah, that'll that'll that'll really kick you up for sure. Uli,
who's this anymore?
Speaker 10 (42:59):
What?
Speaker 2 (42:59):
Hello? Hello? Hi? Who's this? William?
Speaker 5 (43:05):
William? What can't you raw dog and just jump into anymore?
Speaker 2 (43:11):
You know what?
Speaker 5 (43:12):
You're not wrong.
Speaker 1 (43:13):
You are not wrong, right, you know, depending on depending
on what's going down, if you know, because because there's
there's three different there's three different sides to that. There's
there's love making, there's having sex, and then there's just
flat out. And if you if you're if you're you know,
(43:36):
prepping for an active round, you got it.
Speaker 5 (43:39):
You gotta yeah, yeah, exercise. Aaron texted at the same time,
William Colton said, physically prepare for sex if you know,
not alone, William.
Speaker 1 (43:50):
Yeah, if you know it's gonna be one of those romps,
you gotta prep Thank.
Speaker 3 (43:54):
You so much, man, this is what you got to
look forward to.
Speaker 2 (43:58):
Blood who say.
Speaker 1 (44:01):
This is a Jacob and Okay, Jacob Anderson, what do
you have to mentally prepare or physically prepare for?
Speaker 2 (44:07):
What can't you just raw dog anymore? Funny enough, it
would have to be a good two mile run.
Speaker 1 (44:16):
Oh yeah, oh, absolutely for sure. I mean any run
you have to prepare for eight.
Speaker 3 (44:22):
Six ninety seven is at playing a full day of paintball?
Speaker 5 (44:25):
Yeah, just jump into that, don't do it? Yeah, that'll
wear you out quick, let's see.
Speaker 1 (44:31):
Vivian says, just getting up and going to work. Yeah,
I'm sure a lot of people feel that way.
Speaker 11 (44:36):
Chuck says, top Golf. I went Friday and I'm still sore.
You know, if you're not, if you're not used to it.
The swing, Yeah, I mean it's the same he's swinging
a golf club over and over. It's the same as
your arms and shoulders can get sore from casting over it.
Speaker 5 (44:48):
Yeah, you know at the beginning of the year, I
can definitely tell yep eight ninety nine seven, Oh what
do you have to prepare for?
Speaker 2 (44:55):
Glad Tie? Who's this? Annie?
Speaker 5 (44:58):
Annie?
Speaker 1 (44:59):
What can't you raw dog anymore? What takes some mental
or physical preparation?
Speaker 2 (45:04):
Calling my mom? Yes?
Speaker 5 (45:10):
And there are so many people.
Speaker 1 (45:12):
Okay, thank you, gotta do therapy before yes, oh, there
are so many people like that. That is a mental
preparation for some relatives before you talk to Hell yeah,
some parents.
Speaker 5 (45:24):
You're just like, all right, here we go.
Speaker 1 (45:27):
You know, the emotional roller coaster you're about to be
put on, whether they're you know, gaslighting you into something,
or if they.
Speaker 4 (45:35):
Call you, you got to reject the call and give
yourself about fifteen minutes.
Speaker 3 (45:39):
And then yeah right, No.
Speaker 2 (45:43):
Nine seven the Blitz.
Speaker 1 (45:48):
Earlier this morning, during our not so breaking news, I
told you about two officers that commandeered an uber driver
because they were chasing someone who was too fast on foot.
And it's like a scene out of a movie where
they jump up and they take your car from you.
Didn't never realize it happens in real life. I've got
another story for you that again. I just saw this happen.
(46:08):
If you've seen the movie The Amateur with Ronny Malick.
Is that his name, Ronny Mallick? She played He played Freddy. Yeah,
so he's in this movie and he's kind of a
nerdy guy who works for the CIA, but he and
his wife ends up getting killed and he goes to
hunt down you know the people who did it, and
he uses his special nerdy skills to go find them,
(46:29):
and in one of the scenes he catches up with
an accomplice of the terrorists and they end up in
a chase scene and she runs out into the road.
Speaker 2 (46:39):
Even though she's trying to avoid him.
Speaker 1 (46:41):
She gets hit by a car and killed because she's
just running as fast as she can, not looking. And
it happens all the time in movies where they run
out out of nowhere to get hit by something. Well,
there's a fifty three year old man who unfortunately is
no longer with us because he got into an argument
with a woman he was He ran into her while
they were out and about and something escalated and they
(47:05):
got into a screaming match, and I guess it turned
a little physical. She attacked him, and then her girlfriends
jumped in. The girls that she was hanging out with,
they all jumped in. So this man said, I am
out of here, that I'm not you know, I'm not
dealing with this and starts to leave. Will these women
(47:25):
come after him? So then he decides to start running
away from the women. The women are chasing him, and
then sure enough, this went down in Phoenix, that he
runs out to avoid the women into the street and.
Speaker 5 (47:40):
By them.
Speaker 2 (47:42):
Gets hit by a car.
Speaker 1 (47:47):
Just come on, you're trying to avoid a terrible situation,
and then this happens now to make matters worse, the
driver of the vehicle, who was also an adult name,
drove away and fled the scene.
Speaker 5 (48:03):
Oh man, Now the driver did end up coming back.
Speaker 2 (48:07):
I don't know what.
Speaker 1 (48:08):
I don't know of some sort of like your kicked
in if you started to realize how much trouble you're
gonna be in even more if you flee the scene
and they find out who you are. But he did have,
I guess, an excuse for leaving because when police showed up,
sure enough, he sold signs of impairment.
Speaker 2 (48:27):
And he was drinking and driving.
Speaker 1 (48:29):
So this guy was hit by a drunk driver after
running away from his girlfriend or date and their girl.
Here's girl, her girlfriends just a hot mess of a story.
Speaker 5 (48:40):
Do you throw all the girls and the driver in jail?
Speaker 1 (48:42):
You know, that's an interesting question because they they say
any potential charges are going to be determined by the
by the investigation, So can you charge the women?
Speaker 2 (48:56):
Did they? Is this a cause and effect kind of
thing do you think?
Speaker 5 (49:00):
So they don't be manslaughter, but it's what do they
call that? You're responsible for somebody's death, Like you don't
murder them, but you're responsible for.
Speaker 1 (49:12):
That right right right now, as you what you're saying.
So yeah, no word on whether or not the women
are going to be charged. The man is definitely charged
for drinking and driving and other charges that will be pending.
Speaker 5 (49:21):
But man, poor guy, Oh my god, that is just
a terrible.
Speaker 2 (49:26):
Way to go. Probably more things can go wrong. Now,
there's three things you need to know before you go.
Speaker 4 (49:35):
The former CEO of Abercrombie and Fitch has been ruled
mentally competent to stand trial on sex trafficking charges after
being hospitalized for months for dementia and Alzheimer's symptoms. The
lawyer for eighty two year old Michael Jeffries claims that
Jeffries requires around.
Speaker 3 (49:50):
The clock care.
Speaker 4 (49:51):
However, a federal judge reviewed reports from medical experts and
listen to hours of phone calls between Michael Jeffries and
his romantic partner, Matthew Smith, and determined that Jeffries is
absolutely able to discuss his case clearly and rationally. He
(50:11):
understands what's going on and is an intelligent skilled communicator.
Jeffries' schedule for trial in October, alongside his partner Matthew
Smith and stafford James Jacobson. The three are accused of
promising modeling jobs to lure young men to drug fueled
sex parties in New York City, the Hamptons and other locations.
They've all pleaded not guilty. Well nearly twenty five years
(50:34):
since the September eleventh attacks, new genetic genealogy technology has
positively identified the remains of a victim from the World
Trade Center site. It's the first of its kind discovery
that the city says it's a breakthrough. The new technology
combines DNA testing with family tree research, something that's been
recently used to helpfully solve criminal cases. The now identified
(50:57):
victim was an adult woman. Her family has declined to
publicly identify her, but there are I think eleven hundred unidentified.
Speaker 3 (51:04):
Oh wow, yeah, yeah, that's a lot.
Speaker 4 (51:07):
A new documentary dropping next month on Apple TV is
called Funny Money The Dane Cook Story. The trailer's out
now and it's the story of how Dane Cook's half
brother and business manager Daryl McCauley stole at least twelve
million dollars from him at the peak of his fame,
hiding piles of money in a safe. And it looks
(51:28):
like is the inspiration for the show The Bear, because
apparently he sealed bundles of cash and then plunged them
down into containers.
Speaker 3 (51:39):
Apasta, sads all that.
Speaker 4 (51:40):
Yeah, yeah, So McCauley pleaded guilty back in twenty ten
to embezzlement and larceny, spent six years in prison, and
now apparently after his release, has disappeared. Now his wife,
McCauley's wife also spent two years in prison over the
theft of the money.
Speaker 3 (52:00):
And I don't know.
Speaker 2 (52:02):
It's a terrible story.
Speaker 4 (52:03):
I mean it is a terrible story. Day at the
very height of the best money making years of Dane
Cook's life and his half brother was taking all of it.
Speaker 3 (52:14):
Oh my gosh. All right, I don't know. The documentary
drops September twenty ninth. Those are your three things.
Speaker 1 (52:35):
Zucchini Fest kicks off a week from Friday at Fortress
so Bettes and if you want to be there, we've

Speaker 2 (53:10):

Speaker 5 (53:14):

Speaker 2 (53:14):
Oh? Andy? What's up? We good?
Speaker 4 (53:16):

Speaker 2 (53:16):
You go? Okay, Andy, how are you man? I'm good?
Hew you guys doing I'm not too bad? Thanks for asking. Andy.
Here's the deal.
Speaker 1 (53:24):
Thick has worked diligently putting together a montage for us.
It's an audio montage including clips from anywhere TV movies, music, PSAs, commercials,
news stories.
Speaker 2 (53:34):
Here's the deal.
Speaker 1 (53:35):
All three clips come from the same year, So we're
all gonna listen to the clips, and then we're all
gonna take a guest person closest to the year is
gonna win the Zucchini Fest tickets.
Speaker 2 (53:42):
All right? Cool? Yeah, okay, Well, Andy, are you ready
for your montage? Let's go here we go.
Speaker 6 (53:54):
The way, it's pure entertainment.
Speaker 5 (53:57):
PlayStation two at a time. I am okay, oh okay,
now you heard the montage.
Speaker 2 (54:08):
Andy, your choice. Do you want to guess first or
last on the year. I guess I'll guess first. Okay, Well,
what do you got for us?
Speaker 5 (54:20):
Let's try like Ninth Star two thousand.
Speaker 2 (54:24):
Three, two thousand and three. Okay, all right, very good, Kelly.
Do you want to take a guess?
Speaker 3 (54:33):
I mean, sure, we.
Speaker 4 (54:35):
Had stupefied by Disturbed. We have PlayStation two, and then
we have Gladiator. All right, I think you're close. I
guess maybe I'd say I'll just go a year before
you two thousand and two. I'm gonna price is right you?
Speaker 2 (54:51):
Okay, all right, I think you're both close.
Speaker 1 (54:57):
I remember being gifted a PlayStation two for Christmas by
my at the time girlfriend's parents, and they got me
the Batman the animated series video game to go along
with it.
Speaker 5 (55:10):
Okay, you dated the right people.
Speaker 2 (55:13):
What year was that?
Speaker 1 (55:14):
It's right in there, right around my colleges. But I
wasn't in radio yet. I think you're guys are a
little bit late. Was it even two thousand? It might
be an even two thousand. I'm going two thousand.
Speaker 4 (55:28):
Right, we have two thousand, two thousand and two, and
two thousand and three.
Speaker 3 (55:34):
Nick Greck, get.
Speaker 6 (55:38):
Off, it's pure entertainment. PlayStation two, one of.
Speaker 5 (55:47):
The greatest movies of all time, Gladiator, Great System, the
PlayStation two, and Stupefies Off the album The Sickness by Disturbed.
All three of those came out in the year two thousand.
Speaker 9 (55:58):
Night.
Speaker 1 (56:00):
Yeah, that's how you use deductive reasoning to come to
a conclusion. Scientific method people. Andy, Yeah, good job, you
were close. You were second closest.
Speaker 2 (56:11):
No, you weren't. Your last place, never mind, you suck.
Speaker 1 (56:14):
Well, we'll still gid I'm kidding, Andy, I will still
give you tickets for Zucchini Fest.
Speaker 2 (56:19):
You got a pair of Zucchini Fest passes. Okay?
Speaker 5 (56:23):
Oh oh yeah, thanks guys, You're welcome.
Speaker 1 (56:24):
You hang on one second. You got the front of
stage access. There is the free swag and the ride passes.
We'll get you taken care of.
Speaker 8 (56:32):
Not so breaking news. The news already broke. We're trying
to put it back together.
Speaker 2 (56:40):
Our first story, excuse me, let's see here. Our first
story is right here.
Speaker 1 (56:48):
This man apparently wants to not only make money as
a Michael Jackson impersonator, but he wants to do it illegally. Yes,
we have to head down south for our first story.
We have ourselves. WTF what now? Florida Police in Florida
are investigating a robbery or a gunman walked into a
gas station last week and pulled the police report, pulled
(57:11):
some sort of ruse to distract the clerk before pulling
out a gun and demanding money. He got about six
and seventy dollars and then ran off.
Speaker 2 (57:19):
Here's the thing.
Speaker 1 (57:20):
Police haven't found it yet, but the description is quite fascinating,
as they say they are looking for a smooth criminal
because the man was wearing a white medical mask, a
light green shirt, black leather pants, a black hat, and.
Speaker 2 (57:37):
One white glove. He was.
Speaker 1 (57:41):
Straight up, that's what he said when he left the
store as he was on his way out the door
with his money. And yeah, so police are still on
the lookout for this man. Obviously things are going to
be a bit more difficult at wearing a hat and
a mask, So basically you're kind of going off the
eyes there.
Speaker 2 (57:56):
But I don't know.
Speaker 1 (57:58):
I would say go visit your You're latest to Michael
Jackson impersonator show. And see what happened. Gonna pop up somewhere.
Story number two takes us over to Des Moines, Iowa,
where a family and friends got together to go check
out a traveling circus. You know what happens all the time.
They've got the circus eye. The cercuis out there traveling
(58:18):
around and they set up a tent. They put on
their little show, and you take the kids and you
have your popcorn, and you have a good time until
the trapeze.
Speaker 2 (58:26):
Artist poo poo's on everyone.
Speaker 5 (58:28):
What that is so crazy?
Speaker 1 (58:31):
Yeah, One of the trapeze artists decided it would be
a good idea to have a gas station sushi burrito
before his performance, and while high up in the air
getting ready to perform the famous eagle dive trapeze trick,
he felt a little rumbley in his humbly.
Speaker 2 (58:54):
And he thought, I can make it. No, No, he couldn't.
Speaker 1 (59:00):
From twenty five feet above everyone in the big top,
this trappeez artist gets the old stomach bug and just
starts pooh pooing on everyone.
Speaker 4 (59:11):
Apparently did he was he wearing short shorts or maybe
the tights They don't they don't hold much.
Speaker 1 (59:16):
Nope, Nope, it looked exactly like a balloon looks when
you blow into it, and then everything came flying out
Rose A one through D seven.
Speaker 2 (59:31):
I get.
Speaker 3 (59:34):
You need your splash guard a Gallagher show.
Speaker 2 (59:38):
I ordered regular peanuts, not chocolate covered peanuts. Oh what happened?
Speaker 5 (59:44):
Not only that?
Speaker 1 (59:44):
To make matters worse, because this was a traveling circus
where they come and they set up the tent and everything.
Speaker 2 (59:50):
There's no built in air conditioning. So what they do
have are.
Speaker 5 (59:53):
Giant fans all over the tent.
Speaker 2 (59:57):
Yeah, so you've got everywhere right.
Speaker 1 (01:00:02):
Not only that, but it's un landed in the fans,
So now you've got high projectile Pooh pooh going all
over the place.
Speaker 4 (01:00:10):
This is not.
Speaker 3 (01:00:14):
Traveling circus.
Speaker 4 (01:00:15):
So they packed up real quick and left town before
anybody could get a red two of.
Speaker 1 (01:00:20):
Oh I'm so mad if I'm sitting there watching the
circus and all of a sudden you.
Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
A couple of things hit, You're like, what is that?
Speaker 5 (01:00:31):
And then take long?
Speaker 1 (01:00:33):
No, you go to wipe it and then it smears
on your face. Moris you got the poop street pink,
somebody Trump, somebody tru.
Speaker 3 (01:00:49):
How can you do.
Speaker 6 (01:00:54):
So disgusting?
Speaker 2 (01:00:55):
Anyways, that's not so breaking some of the plits.
Speaker 1 (01:01:01):
Have you ever hired a professional or you know, dropped
your something off your car or something like that and
you caught the professional doing something wrong.
Speaker 2 (01:01:13):
Because there is a.
Speaker 1 (01:01:14):
Woman who lives in Boston around the Roxbury area, and
she dropped her car off at the repair shop and
next thing, you know, a couple of days later, her
Hondai Tucson rolled up next to her at a red light.
She was like, wait a minute, then any right, So
(01:01:38):
she ends up going back to the repair shop. Her
car was back there, but noticed there were hundreds of
miles added to a herodometer. Whoa, yeah, they had been
taking this car apparently everywhere, and so it was like,
wait a minute, why why my vehicle now over here
(01:02:02):
when I dropped it off over here?
Speaker 2 (01:02:03):
And why are there so many miles on my vehicle?
Speaker 1 (01:02:06):
And they say the mechanic of the shop told did
the woman driver was her stepdaughter. So the stepdaughter works
for the car dealership and was transporting stuff. But they
were using this woman's car for like work stuff, and
it's like, wait a minute.
Speaker 5 (01:02:22):
And only that they didn't really.
Speaker 2 (01:02:23):
Fix the car.
Speaker 1 (01:02:26):
They didn't fix the transmission problems, so they kind of
did further damage by driving it a whole bunch on
the broken transmission.
Speaker 5 (01:02:31):
The miles aren't coming off Ferris right, it's the real
life Ferris Mueller for sure.
Speaker 1 (01:02:37):
So if you ever run into a professional, did you
hire someone to come to your house and plumber or
something and then found them eating your food or you know,
just not doing what they're supposed to be doing.
Speaker 2 (01:02:50):
Nine note can you ever think he's doing?
Speaker 4 (01:02:51):
I can think of that Seinfeld episode where Jerry takes
stuff to the dry cleaner and then sees like his
dry cleaner wearing.
Speaker 3 (01:02:57):
His jacket out and his mom's spur code on it.
Try cleaner's wife.
Speaker 2 (01:03:01):
Yeah, that's exactly what this was. Yeah, without a doubt.
I bet, I bet what.
Speaker 1 (01:03:07):
If that happens? If you're own a dry clean business,
You're like, really amazing.
Speaker 3 (01:03:11):
Comes in, you have a nice event.
Speaker 5 (01:03:12):
Coming up, just a little dinner date night.
Speaker 4 (01:03:14):
You're not gonna pick this up till Monday. I need
it Saturday time.
Speaker 1 (01:03:18):
I try cleaning. It'll be clean when they pick it up.
Nine seven. Oh think you ever have a professional?
Speaker 2 (01:03:27):
Not that I can think of.
Speaker 5 (01:03:30):
I know we've heard stories about just a simple thing
like a door dash driver, eating part of your food.
Speaker 2 (01:03:35):
Yes, that does happen. Quite a bit, that does happen.
Speaker 1 (01:03:38):
Oh you get you drop it off a couple of
your French fries. Yeah, French fries, chicken heal, yeah, yeah,
and you get your nine piece chicken nugget. Like, wait
a minute, I'm pretty sure this is a ten piece.
Speaker 2 (01:03:48):
Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 5 (01:03:49):
I like the places that that take the bag shut.
Speaker 1 (01:03:52):
I you know, I don't know if there's any place
now that doesn't have some sort of tissue or staple.
Some places do tie the bag, which is easy to
untie and then retie.
Speaker 5 (01:04:03):
Well, if they double knot the plastic bag, you need scissors.
Speaker 2 (01:04:07):
You're true, I'm telling you how that. Yeah, that is true.
You've got one eight ninety nine seven.
Speaker 1 (01:04:13):
I would love to know if you had a professional
that didn't really do what they were supposed to be doing.
Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
It's ninety ninety seven of the Blitz.
Speaker 1 (01:04:23):
If you've ever been out and about with children and
you're doing you know, some whether it's exploring, some hiking,
you're going to the zoo, they can they can tire
pretty quickly, and when they do, it's just like a switch.
Everything's fine. No, I'm done and they can sit down,
they can throw a fit your force carrying them. I
(01:04:46):
know I didn't walk until I was five years old.
What basically, Yeah, that was my mom's famous saying was
I didn't walk until I was five years old because
my dad carried I was always on my dad's shoulders,
carried me everywhere because I would just.
Speaker 4 (01:05:02):
You're the baby of the family, right, Yeah, exactly, this
is your last go around with the baby.
Speaker 3 (01:05:08):
You got to carry him as long as possible.
Speaker 2 (01:05:10):
Well, not this dad. This dad was over in Mount
Fuji in Japan doing a little family hike.
Speaker 1 (01:05:18):
I think that would be an amazing hike. Yeah, now,
Mount Fuji very large. I have done hikes up mountains before.
Living in Colorado Springs, we had Pike's Peak. Used to
walk that thing.
Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
All the time. It is not easy. Elevation is very tiring.
Speaker 3 (01:05:33):
Wringing a little kid with yet.
Speaker 1 (01:05:34):
I would absolutely not be. So why this guy brought
his seven year old son with him, I'm not sure. Well,
sure enough, the seven year old son got tired and
the dad said, fine, stay here, I'll be back.
Speaker 2 (01:05:45):
That's exactly what happened to the boy.
Speaker 1 (01:05:47):
The spot is sitting on his own at a hut
at about eighty two hundred feet, slightly more than halfway
up the country's tallest mountain. Police said the boy had
gone hiking with his father and the older brother, and
he was told to wait there because he became too
tired and didn't want to walk anymore than day. I
was like, I'm not carrying you. It's hard enough for
me to get up this mountain. I'm not carrying an
(01:06:07):
extra what fifty sixty pounds? What is a seven year
old way? He was told to weait on the bench,
and the father and brother continued on their hike. When
they returned five hours later, what police were waiting with
the young boy. He was unharmed and giving back to
his father. The officer's word in the man that he
(01:06:29):
could be held criminally liable. Okay, you're not supposed to
be just leaving your seven year old.
Speaker 2 (01:06:36):
Now.
Speaker 1 (01:06:36):
I do know in other countries, especially countries over like
in China and Japan, they very much look out for
each other. You know, they're very much about community and family.
So you know, no one was going to bother this
seven year old boy.
Speaker 5 (01:06:51):
But five hours, what is that seven year old doing
twiddling his thumbs?
Speaker 2 (01:06:56):
Maybe he had some sort of electronic device.
Speaker 5 (01:06:58):
I don't know, but you're not supposed to be.
Speaker 2 (01:07:00):
Leaving your seven year old. That's nuts by himself.
Speaker 3 (01:07:03):
You didn't bring your switch, Well, that's on you, son,
he yah by.
Speaker 2 (01:07:08):
So I was never left anywhere.
Speaker 3 (01:07:15):
I've left two young kids somewhere. I did the leaving. Yeah,
I'm not proud of it.
Speaker 2 (01:07:21):
Intentionally intentional.
Speaker 5 (01:07:22):
Oh what happen?
Speaker 3 (01:07:24):
Wait here, I'll be right back Type six. Okay, yeah,
I needed to go pick up a prescription. I had
my sister's little kids, ages three and five.
Speaker 5 (01:07:34):
Oh my god, Kelly, Okay.
Speaker 4 (01:07:36):
This is twenty five years ago, so I think the
statute of limitations is probably abandonment. But I they were watching,
really snuggled in and watching a show. Okay, this is
so terrible. And now that i'm older, immature. Back then
I was really I was very immature. I didn't understand.
And I'm like, well, they're snuggled in, they're safe, they
(01:07:58):
have a you know whatever, They're just they're good.
Speaker 3 (01:08:00):
They're watching their TV.
Speaker 4 (01:08:02):
And the CBS was literally like right down the street,
less than a quarter mile, like a good jog there,
and I'm like, stay put, I'll.
Speaker 3 (01:08:11):
Be back in ten ten minutes. Tops I did it.
Everything was fine.
Speaker 2 (01:08:17):
Lucky me.
Speaker 3 (01:08:18):
Lucky me, because that is so stupid and dangerous, but
I did it.
Speaker 1 (01:08:22):
But you know, that's kind of how the staying home
alone gets built. Like I'm just running up to your eight, nine,
ten eleven, however old you are, and Dad's like, I'm
just running up to the gas station. I'll be right back,
sit here and watch TV. And they're gone for less
than ten minutes, and then they gotta go pick something up.
(01:08:42):
They're gone for twenty twenty five to thirty minutes.
Speaker 5 (01:08:45):
I just wonder if, Kelly, I really wonder if you
would have done that if it were your own kids.
Oh interesting thought, I'm thinking because twenty five years ago
things were a little different. But I had young children
twenty five years ago. I just can't imagine.
Speaker 4 (01:09:03):
I'm saying, you leave your young, vulnerable children in the
care of a childless person who really doesn't know what's
going on.
Speaker 1 (01:09:10):
True, Yeah, I mean you're leaving your eight nine year
olds with a sixteen or seventeen year old.
Speaker 4 (01:09:16):
Like I love these children to my core, I know that,
but I really didn't want the inconvenience of having to
strap them into car seats.
Speaker 2 (01:09:24):
And get one.
Speaker 3 (01:09:26):
It's just a lot.
Speaker 4 (01:09:28):
It was a lot, And I'm like, yeah, they could
just sit here and watch TV while I do it myself.
Speaker 5 (01:09:32):
And everything was fine.
Speaker 3 (01:09:33):
Everything was fine. But I understand that.
Speaker 5 (01:09:35):
I definitely could have taken a wrong turn, for sure.
It's like, you gotta pray that the kids really just
sit there and watch the show and don't get up
and do it.
Speaker 1 (01:09:44):
I would feel less bad about leaving my own kids
than I would someone else's kids.
Speaker 3 (01:09:49):
About Like, all right, Kelly meets her meds.
Speaker 1 (01:09:53):
They fell off tight, they fall off the couch or something.
They're unlike you, idiot. I told you not to move
on you.
Speaker 3 (01:10:00):
It could happen.
Speaker 2 (01:10:03):
On you.
Speaker 3 (01:10:05):
That's all right, Well, at least a man enough to
admit it.
Speaker 1 (01:10:07):
Now twenty five years the conclusions.
Speaker 2 (01:10:13):
Now all rights. The three things you need to know
before you go.
Speaker 4 (01:10:18):
Trial set to start today for the man cused in
a New Albany mass suiting, Bruce Foster, the third charged
with opening fire on coworkers at the k DC warehouse
in February twenty twenty five. Two people were killed four
were wounded. Trial getting underway this morning in Licking County
Common Police Court. It is a bench trial, so no jury.
Foster's trial was delayed twice before because he was found
(01:10:39):
incompetent to stand trial and then ruled competent. In October
of last year, in northwest Reno, Nevada, wildfire that began
Saturday is now enormous and out of control. Ninety thousand
people have been told to evacuate. Authorities say it was
human caused, though they didn't say what caused it. The
Hawk Fire near the California state line is zero contained,
(01:11:01):
spreading quickly, destroying homes and businesses near the California state line,
and even jumped fire trucks at one point and injured
six people. Can you imagine being a firefighter and Noah,
that is You're just I mean, it's it's I can't
even fathom it.
Speaker 1 (01:11:16):
I remember shortly after, we had two back to back
severe forest fires in Colorado Springs that again involved evacuation
all that kind of stuff. Josh Brolin started a movie
called Smoke Jumpers, and it was about the firefighters that
handled these forest fires and jump literally jump in to
the middle of it because sometimes you have to start,
(01:11:37):
you know, working from the inside out to try and
contain these things. And they did the premiere in Denver
while we were there, so we had to sit down
and chat about the movie. But yeah, these these firefighters,
that's that's unbelievable. Yeah, or they're you know, they're a
mile into the woods fighting with nothing but fire around them.
Speaker 2 (01:11:55):
It's insane.
Speaker 4 (01:11:56):
Well, a new Dan Sullivan has entered the conversation surrounding
the Alaska Senate rach, a race in which incumbent Dan S.
Sullivan faces candidate Dan J. Sullivan and now the former
mayor of Anchorage, Dan A. Sullivan, has endorsed incumbent Dan S.
Sullivan for re election.
Speaker 5 (01:12:16):
I mean Dan Sullivan's live in Alaska.
Speaker 3 (01:12:18):
To going on that there is there a lack of names, right,
like what are we?
Speaker 5 (01:12:23):
One guy running around all over.
Speaker 4 (01:12:24):
The Also running is former Representative Mary Peltola, and she's
being accused of getting the other Dan Sullivan to join
the race to confuse everyone in turn giving her a
leg up.
Speaker 3 (01:12:39):
You said has happened in the past. Both she and
Dan J.
Speaker 4 (01:12:44):
Sullivan have denied the accusations. But yeah, Dan s versus
Dan Jay in the race for Alaska Senate.
Speaker 5 (01:12:55):
Good luck name one of them is going to get elected?
Then people will be surprised when there's some scandal.
Speaker 2 (01:13:00):
Yeah, I want to go. I want to know if
the people that.
Speaker 1 (01:13:05):
I want to know if the less popular one is
going to win by mistake alone, right right the other guys.
Speaker 3 (01:13:13):
I don't know what the legalities.
Speaker 2 (01:13:14):
I don't think so, yeah, I don't think so.
Speaker 3 (01:13:16):
All right, those are your three things.
Speaker 1 (01:13:19):
A lot of people are excited, a lot of gamers
biting at the bit because the wait is almost over.
Grand Theft Auto six is coming.
Speaker 5 (01:13:27):
They've been waiting a long time.
Speaker 2 (01:13:28):
It's coming in October, I think. Anyways.
Speaker 1 (01:13:32):
Yeah, yeah, it's been years and years and years they've
been talking about this. Supposedly the most expensive game ever made.
It cost like two billion dollars.
Speaker 2 (01:13:40):
To make this game.
Speaker 5 (01:13:41):
November nineteenth.
Speaker 2 (01:13:42):
Oh okay, so they still got a couple of months.
Speaker 1 (01:13:44):
But it's it's approaching, and you know they've already shown
I saw a video that showed the map and they
laid the Grand Theft Auto six map over the Grand
Theft Auto five map and basically it's five times as large.
Oh okay, I mean you are getting way more space
(01:14:06):
to explore and examine and do your missions or whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:14:10):
And I remember I never played five.
Speaker 1 (01:14:12):
But I remember watching some videos, like they had a
casino in Grand Theft Auto five. You could go in
and play blackjack. You can go in to play the slots.
You could go in and play texas hold them at
the poker room. They had a country club where you
could go play eighteen holes. They had all kinds of
extras going on. And that's part of what Grand Theft
Autos is. It's not just about the game and the
(01:14:32):
what's the word of the campaign the beginning to end,
because now it's all about what other things can you
do and how realistic can you make it. Well, there's
a rumor going around and some gamers are not happy
about this that in Grand Theft Auto six, when you're
out driving your cars, the new realistic thing is you're
(01:14:53):
gonna have to refuel your car.
Speaker 2 (01:14:56):
Your car is gonna run.
Speaker 1 (01:14:57):
Out of gas, so you're gonna have to pull over
at a gas station and get yourself some gas to
refuel your car. They say, of course, you can always
just jump out and hijack someone else. It's it's Grand
Theft Auto. That's what you're doing. The game, not exactly
how realistic the mileage metrics are gonna work because I
know in Grand Theft Auto five they had a whole
bunch of different types of cars. So if you jump
(01:15:17):
in the pickup truck, is that gonna get less miles
than you know, the more reasonable four doors today in I.
Speaker 5 (01:15:23):
Mean, they're usually pretty pretty realistic with stuff. Yeah, that
would make sense. I mean that creates a whole new,
you know, challenge within the game. And what if you're
running from the cops and you run out of gas
and stall?
Speaker 2 (01:15:34):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:15:35):
They do say it's possible that it could be like
an option, so you can go into settings and switch
it off and switch it on, like if you wanted
to be a part of the game or not so
and not to mention, you know, I know in Grand
Theft Ato five it was all about kind of making
money and you got paid to do side jobs, so
you have to pay for gas. Are the gas prices
going to change? Are they gonna be crazy high like
(01:15:57):
they are right now? Are they gonna be able to
go in and just the gas prices, you know, like
an update to the game and then all of a
sudden the gas price is lowered by ten cents a gallon.
Speaker 5 (01:16:07):
I saw a video yesterday that looked like it was
straight out of Grand Theft Auto And I have no
idea how old it was. Maybe you've seen it, maybe
somebody has seen it. Guy's on a motorcycle, right, he's
running from the cops. He he needs gas. He goes
into gas. He tries to get some gas. He couldn't
get much before they were catching up. And this this
was like it could go road or off road, this motorcycle.
Speaker 2 (01:16:30):
Is this a video gamer?
Speaker 5 (01:16:31):
No, No, this was real life that like they had
a helicopter was you know, gotcha getting a video of this?
So this dude gets on his phone while he's riding
this motorcycle and calls his boy and tells him. You know,
you didn't know at the moment what he was telling him,
but then you realize dude left him a tank of
gas in a field. So he drives out into this field,
fills it up, and now he's on his way again.
Speaker 2 (01:16:52):
I was like, are you kidding? That's definitely.
Speaker 5 (01:16:55):
I couldn't believe that.
Speaker 2 (01:16:56):
Man.
Speaker 1 (01:16:57):
Well again, I know a lot of people are looking
for it. I know certain people already have time off
to play. I know I saw another story of a
guy who has a contract with his girlfriend not to
bother him for six days.
Speaker 2 (01:17:07):
Everything is off the table. He has been given permission
to do nothing but play the game.
Speaker 5 (01:17:10):
So well, Kelly did that new story where if you
want to re enlist in the military, they were gonna
give you like four straight days off auto plays out.
Speaker 2 (01:17:18):
Yep, yep, it's gonna be a big one, for sure.
Speaker 1 (01:17:21):
But to recoup two billion dollars, because that's what it
costs to make that, you don't make up that costs
that much. They said between one point five and two
billion dollars to make this game and all the work
they put into it.
Speaker 5 (01:17:32):
So they'll make it.
Speaker 2 (01:17:34):
I'm sure they will, But I just can't imagine releasing
a product and you have to hit two billion in
sales before you even hit a profit. That's insane.
Speaker 5 (01:17:44):
Now, let's see if we can learn you something. Sit
up and pay attention. Yeah, let's learn you some stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:17:50):
On a Monday morning, you play some of those brain
cells you killed over the weekend. Like, did you know
it's been more than two decades since a human has
beaten a computer in a chess tournament, and you know
now it's never gonna happen. Computers are just way too
advanced now Did you know that American microbiologist Maurice Hillman
is credited with developing eight of the fourteen routine vaccinations
(01:18:12):
used today. He did happatitus A, he did happatitus B,
he did hamophyllis influenza type B, chickenpox, measles, mumps, rebella plus.
He also discovered that committee was not a virus as
it was previously thought to be.
Speaker 2 (01:18:29):
Oh wow, this guy gave us. Oh he's a hero. Yeah,
he's a single handedly saved a whole bunch of one. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:18:36):
Did you know a study showed customers in a bookstore
where three point five eight times more likely to browse
romantic books if the store smelled like chocolate.
Speaker 2 (01:18:47):
They were pumping chocolate smells.
Speaker 5 (01:18:50):
And they do that.
Speaker 2 (01:18:52):
Yeah, and they were five point nine three times more
likely to buy one.
Speaker 1 (01:18:57):
So you want to sell some romantic No women in
their chocolate man, chocolate and sacks man.
Speaker 2 (01:19:06):
Did you know?
Speaker 1 (01:19:07):
There's a bright pink colored lake on one of the
islands of the West Coast of Australia. It's called Lake Hillier,
and scientists recently determined the color is caused by algae
and other microbes. I don't know if you're supposed to
swim in it. That's pink, yeah, bright pink. Yeah, yeah,
I'm not getting in that water. There's microbes and algae.
Speaker 5 (01:19:27):
That's a whole different level. Yeah, I mean usually too
much algae. It's just like that ugly green, but pink.
What's up with that?
Speaker 2 (01:19:35):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:19:36):
That might be the lake you dip in and come
out with superpowers up. Well, that's true.
Speaker 1 (01:19:39):
You might turn a knock one man straight up, start
communicating with fish breathing underwater.
Speaker 5 (01:19:43):
Not the superhero.
Speaker 2 (01:19:46):
I would take it.
Speaker 5 (01:19:47):
Well, it's over nothing.
Speaker 1 (01:19:48):
Yeah, yeah, it's not top five, but I would definitely
take it for sure, better than what I got now.
Speaker 5 (01:19:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:19:57):
Did you know the first ever Western made movie to
be broadcast in North Korea was Bend It like Beckham?
Speaker 5 (01:20:04):
Oh? Was that right?
Speaker 2 (01:20:05):
Twenty ten?
Speaker 5 (01:20:06):
And actually it didn't air until twenty ten. It came
out eight years earlier. That movie is from two thousand
and two. Oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:20:13):
And not only that, but it was heavily edited, I'm sure. Yeah,
because they don't show anything over in North Korea. Nope,
that despise.
Speaker 5 (01:20:21):
They show anything at all.
Speaker 1 (01:20:22):
That is their own little place. They are pretty secluded there.
You go luning to some stuff on a Monday morning.
Nineteine and seven of the Blitz
