the hell y'all been? By the way, hope y'all weekend
was pretty good.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if you a lot of
you had kept it right here, because we have been busy, busy,
busy little bees over here since Saturday. My god, we
did a super post show covering the Great American Bash
ae w all in Saturday night's main event. We did
the trifecta as all of that was covered in one
(00:38):
super show on Saturday night, and then we came right
back talking about WWE evolution. Nice way to put a
book in on the Great Wrestling Action. And then here
we are for the third consecutive night. It is Monday
Night Raw post show here that we're doing post show
fall out, a lot of themmen them, a lot of
(01:01):
stuff building up towards that Summer Slam and everything. You
guys can definitely sound off and let me know what
your thought about tonight's Raw. Pop your head on in
the chat, feel free to say hello. You can also
interact lit your voice be heard on our interactive poll
right now up on Twitter and on YouTube. Let me
know what your thought. Keep it a simple thumbs up
(01:22):
thumbs down, And from what I'm saying here, this is
episode number one thousand, one hundred and sixty seven of
the RCWR show that you guys are checking out for
those of you that might have missed a lot of
the wrestling action, but you want to get my thoughts,
make sure after you get done with this episode you
(01:43):
piggy on back check us out wherever you get your podcast.
Get the loadown on what you missed and everything. I
do want to revisit later on in the show, some
of the polls that we had out there, because that
definitely needs to be revisited. This edition of Monday Night
Raw dealing with a lot of post fallout from Saturday
(02:06):
Night's main event, and definitely getting us a little bit
closer to SummerSlam, although some things are still kind of
left in the air a little bit, but I think
by the time we get to this Friday SmackDown, we
should definitely have a greater picture. Remember, SummerSlam is going
(02:28):
to be a two night event, so hopefully by the
end of this week we're gonna at least have half
the card down for SummerSlam, because we're like about two
and a half weeks away and all of that. Of course,
one of the most lingering questions going into tonight's WWE
(02:50):
raw is what is going on with seth Rawlins. Many
of us had saw were played out last week. We
didn't think anything of it. A lot of us were
scrutinizing that video footage of him jumping over the rope
and then top rope, landing on his feet. We couldn't
quite make out what the hell was going on. A
(03:12):
lot of us had tried slowing the footage down, really
trying to see what the hell had happened. We couldn't
see anything for a lot of us. There's still some
of us too this very day, even myself included. I've
looked at it, I've slowed it down, I've tried to
do my very best, and I still don't see. But
(03:33):
Triple H did address seth Rawlins' status during the Evolution.
Media scrum came on immediately after Evolution was over and
done with, and he revealed that they were pretty close
to Birmingham, Alabama, that pretty much that's where seth Rawlins
(03:53):
was going to be going to visit the doctor and
everything and find out exactly what is going on and
then pretty much take it from there. So Triple Ah
pretty much saying, look, still in the early stages, don't
really have a definitive answer yet as far as what
is going on, well know, very very soon. So we
(04:14):
had that over our heads to pretty much wrap up
the weekend. So what is going on with Seth Rolins?
Is he or isn't he? And I tell you what wwee.
The way that they had addressed this, it was very subtle.
I gotta say it was very very subtle, right down
(04:37):
to the point. They didn't make a grand virtue oh
soo big deal out of this, because you would have
expected that maybe something would have played out in the
middle of the ring with Big Bronson, Red Brown Breaker
Paul Hayman. No. On the contrary, this got addressed within
the first seventy five minutes of tonight's programming, where Jackie
(05:02):
Redman had caught up with the trio backstage to get
an update how long, if any was Seth Rowlins going
to be out? Was he going to be missing some
significant time? And Paul Hayman pretty much told Jackie Redman. Yo,
it's way too early. We just don't know. We don't
have any additional information just yet. But make no mistake
(05:26):
about it. When it comes through this money in the
bank briefcase, seth freakin' Rowlins has an entire year to
cash in this bad boy. So whatever the worst case
scenario could possibly be, like seth Rawlins's money gonna make briefcase,
this is his bad boy. And yeah, so no update
(05:49):
right now. So you're left with that. You're going okay,
because I know some of you guys had put some
crazy ideas out there. There's well, really good idea that
I saw where the idea was made, well, why not
just let seth Rawlins give the money in the bank
briefcase to either Big Bronson or Breaker. And you're like, ah,
(06:13):
since when have we seen a briefcase just given away
nine times out of ten? There's probably gonna be some
type of a tournament something along those lines. But for
me personally, the more and more that I thought about
that idea, the idea that seth Rawlins may be out
for a significant period of time, I honestly said to
(06:33):
myself at least, well, why are we being so in
a haste to get that money in the bank contract
off of him, like the rules have not changed, got
an entire year to cash it in. So if that
being the case, then you can take your time, out
of sight, out of mind, let that money in the
(06:54):
bank briefcase be a he afterthought, Let people forget about it.
So I never was sold that we were possibly going
to be going into tonight to see some type of
a tournament for the money in the bank briefcase. Never
was sold on that idea whatsoever. I would imagine though,
that at this point, maybe before the week is out,
(07:15):
we're going to have a little bit more of an idea,
definitive idea. What's going on with seth Rawins. Now, look,
I'm no medical expert. I'm not I have studied I
will say this though. I will say this though, as
far as my college education goes, I did spend a
couple of years learning about the human anatomy because I
(07:38):
had to take a couple of classes to fulfill my
science requirements. And all that I did biology, did a
little bit of plant science, a whole bunch of different
types of science classes. If I were to speculate on
what potentially is going on, with Seth rawlins, I would
(08:01):
say worst case scenario, best case worst case scenario that
I'll give you, guys, something was severely tweaked to the
point that maybe you had the bones actually shift very
well possible. It's also possible at the same time that
(08:23):
there could possibly be a little bit of a hairline fracture,
so to speak. That is also possible. Okay, So as
a result of that, you know, you could be looking
at maybe about with good rest and rehab, you could
be looking at about four maybe five months, four to
(08:46):
maybe five months. That's the best case, And I honestly
think worst case scenario if you were to try to
prime me to go even uglier than that. Like, I
just would have a hard time believing that Seth is
going to be out longer than that. I really really
would be surprised to hear that. So I hope people
(09:10):
were paying attention because we kind of alluded to it
when we did the Evolution post show. But remember doctor
James Andrews, who used to work on a lot of
the guys in WWE, helped Triple LH multiple times with
his quad injury and all of that. The fact that
the WWE roster tonight they were out there in Alabama.
(09:32):
Remember doctor James Andrews, he retired a handful of years
ago from that practice. But there's a good team that's
in his place, that's been working on WWE talents for
the past several years now. And Triple H did say
that seth Rawlins was going to be tagging along with
them to Alabama, and I would imagine he probably was
(09:56):
there hanging out in the back, messing around with the
crew and and him and Becky and everything were probably
hanging out. But I would imagine that they definitely had
went there, and you can best believe usually it's just
a bad tendency that WWE has whenever their superstars get
injured and they got to go to that clinic out there,
(10:17):
or that facility, I should say, in Alabama, usually there
is some type of video documentation that's going on. To
Jeffrey's point about maybe it's a work and seth Rawlins
Cash is in again SummerSlam, or rather Cash is in
at Summer Slam against the Impunk and Gonther, that's also
(10:41):
a possibility as well. But here's the thing that really
came off so random, the way that whole injury thing
had came about, and when you're in a position, I
also think about it from this standpoint too. Everybody, when
you look at how seth Rawlins and his current entourage
(11:04):
have been operating these past several weeks, anytime it's come
to see them Punk Jay Ouso, Sammy Zain, you know it.
They pretty much have been running rough shot. They haven't
been doing any tactical, sneaky kind of games. They have
(11:24):
pretty much been now, we're gonna pop up, we're gonna
maul your ass, get you out the way. And that's
pretty much it, right down to the point you think
about the fact that they had La Night out indefinitely okay,
they got Sammy Zain out indefinitely, okay. So you're looking
(11:47):
at all of those things, and you know, my gut instinct.
It's one thing about my friends and family, they always
tell me, as far as my gut instinct goes, I
am a scary, scary judge of definitely talent character. And
you know a couple of other things I don't. I'm
trusting my gut on this one. It just because it'd
(12:09):
be one thing if the seeds were planned that okay,
But this just feels so off the course, it really
really does. It'll be interesting. It'll be interesting to see
what happens as we get ready to go to SummerSlam.
But that's what we got to do here, right We
gotta speculate and all that other stuff. One thing that
was a fact though, as far as tonight goes solid action.
(12:33):
Contrary to how my man on Twitter may feel, Ludwig
Germano he's doing his own version of Americano here. He
felt that Raw Tonight was bad overall until it was
really bad for him because he was expecting for something
(12:56):
else to happen in the main event, but it did
not happened. So I guess he's trying to say he
felt that the show was saved because the Tribal Chief
One made his return. We had not seen him since WrestleMania,
so I don't know about that. I think where our
friend Ludwig Germano is coming from is the fact that
(13:19):
the first seventy five minutes of Raw Tonight was dedicated
to the women, and so that might have rubbed people
off the wrong way, especially for those that don't give
a damn about women's wrestling. They most likely sure as
hell didn't give a damn about the Evolution Sunday night event,
So the fact that they had to sit through seventy
(13:41):
five minutes of women's action. I mean, Hurricane Shane Helms,
he said it the best, and I have the follow
up when that I ended up saying hashtag give men
wrestlers a chance because Hurricane Shane Helms said something along
the lines of, oh my god, we got all all
these women's matches and we only get one men's match tonight.
(14:06):
That is just so disappointing. What's up with that? Right?
And you know, you get the little joke there, you
get the in between, right, you can read it between
the lines on that one. But no, seventy five minutes
of tonight's raw, Honestly, I thought was a nice companion
piece to what was done at Evolution. I mean, once again,
(14:27):
that Evolution event, just from top to bottom, solid ass card.
I still stand behind the rating that I gave it overall,
right down to the point when it comes to how
I would rank all three shows that we got over
the weekend, you definitely want to stick around for that.
(14:48):
Y'all might be a little surprised what I have to
say in regards to that, But we got the Kobuki
Warriors taken on Raquel Rodriguez and Rock Sane Perez for
Tonight's Raw. That was a very solid opener to Tonight's
Monday Night Raw. Now, that was a non tag title matchup,
(15:08):
but the match definitely had some huge implications as far
as potential opponents for Raquel and Roxanne had the girls
been able to pull off the win here and everything,
But sadly they were not able to do that. As
(15:29):
Kubooki Warriors coming up just a little bit short on
this one. It kind of took me off guard, just
a tiny little bit that the champs actually had managed
to put in a win. But at the same time,
when I took a step back and I really processed it,
(15:50):
I said, no, you know what, if this is all
about really trying to establish these girls as a tag team,
then and it's actually good that they went on ahead
and gave these girls the victory because at this point,
you definitely want to build up Raquel and Roxanne R
(16:11):
and R. How about that, you definitely wan, You definitely
want to build them up, You want to establish them
and what better bragging rights you can have than to say, Yo,
beat some former NXT champions right here, Women's champions right here.
How about that, you know, beat a couple of women's
champions right here. Definitely some future Hall of famers and
(16:31):
Cary San and Osca. So I mean, look, make no
mistake about it. The team of Roxanne and Raquel, they
definitely have a bit of a ways to go, and
I think they'll definitely get there and do time. Roxanne
has definitely been putting in the respect at work Raquel,
(16:51):
you know, and I think it really helped. I don't
know if you all are aware of this, but recently
Kevin Nash had some choice words to say about her,
Raquel Rodriguez, that is, and basically encouraged her to move
more like a big man, because for a person that's
got her height, that within everything, you know, she and
(17:13):
I agree with Kevin Nash. You know, we've seen a
lot of Raquel matches where she's just doing a lot
of bumping. She's not moving like a giant. She's not
really selling that aura, that mystique and everything. And I know,
for me personally, I can only speak for me. I
can't speak for you all, but I know for me personally,
(17:34):
she definitely, you know, at one point when we were
first seeing her come up through, was that me young
classic NXT. You know, she had a really nice, bigger build,
more muscular, and all of that came on over the raw,
you know, and eventually she just stopped working out and
she got smaller. But now it seems like she has
(17:57):
been putting on a little bit of size within recent
months and everything. I love seeing Raquel's response to Kevin Nash, because,
let me tell you something, in a day and age
where a lot of these younger folks, their feelings get
so hurt. You see it in some of your favorite sports,
(18:18):
and if we're talking American sports, definitely with the NBA.
You see a lot of stars when they get called
out by the ogs, they're all salty, you know, they
all caught up in their feelings and everything. So you know,
it's unfortunate. It's unfortunate, and it's refreshing to see. Okay,
(18:39):
somebody like Raquel go all right, I hear them talking,
and her response was just so on point. Hey, Basically,
who am I to like not take advice from Kevin Nash,
somebody that in his respective time made a both ton
of money. Why wouldn't I listen to his input. This
guy knows what he's talking about, you know, and it
(19:02):
seems like she's kind of taking that to heart and everything.
So I got to say the string of great, solid
performances she's been having in recent weeks, including what she
did tonight in this tag match and everything, definitely definitely
loved it. The team of Roxanne and Raquel, they continue
(19:25):
to work very well together. I love seeing afterwards Judgment Day,
you know, they're celebrating and all of that, and we
see that Dominick mysterio. He's still trying to sell the
fact that he's injured or whatever's going on with his
little doctors know because he did run a little bit
(19:45):
of interference in these girls match there. He did play
a part in helping them retain. But Adam Pearce pretty
much saying, okay, tell you what's gonna happen. Based on
the actions that she has showed out there earlier. We're
gonna give you our own physical with the WWE doctors,
(20:05):
and if you pass, yeah, you best believe your match
with AJ Styles is gonna be happening. In that Summer Slam.
AJ still around the corner stalking Dominick, no words, just
doing the whole high gesture. He's watching them and everything
and praying to the wrestling guys that he gets that
match against dub At seller Slab. By the way, I
(20:29):
liked when Judgment Day, right before the girls had their
match against the Kobookie Warriors, they were loading up the
girls in their match against Kabookie in the background, because
I think it was I think it might have been
dumb or maybe it was JD. Somebody was playing around
(20:50):
with WW two K twenty five and looked like they
were having a match that was about to go down
at Brawl for All. So I just kind of got
a little bit of a hardy chuckle out of that
nice subliminal messaging too. From a marketing standpoint, which, by
the way, cheap plug reminder, I'm not getting paid for this.
By the way, I still love with From time to
(21:13):
time we get a couple of knuckleheads. How are you
enjoying that WW paycheck? It's like that is news to
me because I ain't seen no paycheck, I ain't got
no WW affiliate links, I ain't got no checking the man,
nothing from WW. So that's news to me if I'm
working for WWE, if I WWW's payro, but furly reminder,
(21:33):
y'all can still get if you have not purchased it
already WW two K twenty five forty percent off, forty
percent off right now, So you could be walking away
with the standard edition for about thirty five dollars for
your respected gaming council, unless you want to get it
(21:54):
for PC. You could definitely do that, get it for PC.
So will I be checking out the game? Most likely?
I will. I will most likely be beginning the game.
You know the one thing that's a little disappointing, and
I love for you all to sound off, you know,
the one thing that's kind of disapporting about the game
so far? It's twenty twenty five. At least at the
(22:16):
time that we're recording this, it's twenty twenty five. But
I mentioned the year specifically because, Wow, with all the
advancement that we've had in next gen councils, chips, using
the processing emulators and all of that, we still cannot
successfully transfer our character from the previous year's game and
(22:41):
import them into the newest game edition. I just think
that is crazy, I really really do. I think that's crazy.
But I would imagine without a doubt, AJ Dom. Their
match is going to be happening as summer. I think
the real question is will DOM somehow figure out a
(23:04):
way to pass WWE Medical successfully or you know what,
what exactly is going to go on from that standpoint.
From there, Bailey taking on Lyra Valkyria in a two
out of three falls match where the winner gets a
shot Becky Lynch at Summer Slam for that women's Icy title.
(23:31):
I told you guys on the Evolutionary post show, I've
been appreciating the new grittiness, the new the new demeanor,
if you want to call it that, that grit that
show me some teeth, girl. Goddamn, I'm waiting for you.
Come on, grow damn it out of Lyra Valkyria. And
(23:52):
she's been on a roll the past couple of weeks.
And I gotta tell you, I gotta tell you the
match between Bailey and Lyra tonight fantastic two out of
three falls match. This really could have gone either way,
but I am happy that Lyra Valkyria came out of
(24:16):
this ultimately as the winner. And everything to date to date,
if you keep a track at home, to date, this
was probably since Lyra has been part of the main
roster to date. This was her second overall good injuring performance.
(24:41):
I'm not saying that the others were bad. It was just,
you know, that's that's that's okay, you know, I mean
bell to bell. You know, this girl she still has
some work ahead of her, but that will come and
do time. What do I mean by that? Has nothing
to do with the n ring ability. For me, it's
(25:03):
all about her And she's got a nice thing going
on with the way that she's trying to connect with
the crowd when she comes out there, she's doing the
whole bird gesture thing right, getting them to go woo
right along with her and all of that. But it's like,
once you get past that entrance, she's ignoring the fans.
(25:24):
And I'd like to see her if I could somehow
bend her ear or get somebody in ww and we
got friends that usually check out the show. You know,
some people that actually work in WWE, or know somebody
that works at WWE. You know, well, you've been at
it for as long as we have. You definitely have
(25:45):
the pleasure of indirectly and sometimes directly coming across some
people and having some conversations with them. But if I
could bend the ear of Lyra. I would say, going forward,
whether you are a good guy, a bad guy, or
tweet her, do your very best to get the crowd
invested in what you're doing. Have them play into you.
(26:08):
What do I mean by that, Well, when you're getting
your ass whooped and it just seems like it's down
and out in everything, A simple hitting the canvas three times,
that's enough to make that one fan go oh, I
see what's going on. She needs some energy, she needs
(26:29):
to feel it from the crowd. Okay, let's fire her up,
Let's feed her. I need to see her, you know
at some points look at the crowd, come on, you know,
and and throw her hand up in the air and
all of that. I needed to see her kind of
kind of gesture from from time to time. Becky. If
you watch and study Becky, Becky does it very well.
(26:53):
Ria Ripley does it very well. Right down to the point,
Rea Ripley can just crack a smile and if the
if the arena camera is on her and you know
she's now up on the on the big old arena
uh monitor and all that, you know, whatever reaction she's
trying to sell to that crowd to get whatever she's
(27:16):
gonna get that reaction. Uh in everything Osca the crowd
with Oscar right now, and it's no fault to the crowd.
It is just the way w essentially just brought Oscar back,
like no hype, video packages, none of that. But in
the past, definitely, uh Osca would be that same way.
(27:37):
You know, therey Be times where she's getting her ass
whoop and she would just h yah yah yah ya
ya yeah and throwing her hands up in the crowd.
You know, they'd feed into that and all that. That'll
happen with Lyra in due time. But as far as
the n ring fundamentals, homegirl definitely has that ship doubt,
So that's that's not an issue whatsoever. But Bell to Bell,
(28:00):
this girl is on point, She's on fire. Do I
feel like she should drop the bird stuff? I said
it once before, I'll say it again. She's and from
a marketing perspective, it's great. From a marketing perspective, it
(28:22):
is great what I would suggest that she and WWE
tried to do. And I know somebody is an old
head in WWE. I don't know. Maybe road Dog Jesse
James can maybe somehow figure this out. But one of
my favorite bands from back in the day, More's Day
and the Time, and true story, Bonie James actually used
(28:46):
to play in the Time. For those of you that
know your jazz music, all things R and B and everything,
Bonie James way before. You know, like you think Bonnie James,
You're like, oh man, yeah, he is so damn good.
It's like, remember he used to be with the Time,
so he was, you know, associated in the Prince universe
and all of that. I just think about all the
(29:08):
dancing that The Time used to do and everything. But
more particularly I think about that that one song come
on Down, Fuck Hallelujah. Oh you know, I think about
all that dance and that's going on and they're doing
a little If you watch Purple Rain or you ever
seen that music video, there's you know exactly what I'm
(29:29):
talking about, And it's just one of those things where
you got Lyra here's the beautiful part. She comes out,
she's doing the bird thing, and the crowd is they're
playing along with her. You got something marketing wise that
is definitely that is definitely. Look, this can hit all
the right age demographics. You know what I'm saying like
(29:53):
she's got it. I mean, she's got the song down,
she's got the right gimmick. You just need to better
market it to everybody and get them really really invested
into it and all of that. But very good match,
very important milestone there for Lyra Ville Kyria. Kudos to Bailey.
(30:13):
This was definitely a definitive way to pay it forward.
Get that rub go in the summer Slam. I love this.
I loved everything about this. Can't sing enough praise, especially
for Bailey. You know, Bailey's been putting in some damn
good solid work since she's been back. So Naomi, speaking
of good, let's talk about Naomi. Way Monday night, Raw
(30:35):
had opened up, opened up with our new Raw women's
champion there in Naomi and Naomi letting the crowd know
straight up as they was trying to let her know
she deserves it and and all of that other stuff.
She told the crowd straight up. She told everyone to
not guess her next move because no one knew what
(30:59):
she would do. And now look at her, She's now
the new world's women's champion and everything and that she
pretty much left Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill in the dust,
and she revealed that apparently this was the plan months
in the making and to prove her point, look at
(31:20):
where she is now. So she also said anyone that
is looking for a title shot, they need to proceed
with caution. And this pretty much had prompted Rhea Ripley
to come on out there, pretty pissed off about the
fact that Naomi just came on in there and joint
(31:41):
that last cookie right when Rhea's hand was about to
touch that bad boy Eolsky coming out there as well,
pretty upset and what all had went down, Naomi telling
both of the girls they got to hit the bricks,
they got to go to the back of the line.
I don't know, it could be just me, but Naomi
is really starting to channel Tanisha Arnold. And I first
(32:04):
of all, I've always had the biggest crush on Naomi,
so it really shouldn't come to no surprise when I say,
as far as the cast of Martin Goes Hit TV
series from Back in the Day People starring Martin Lawrence,
I had the biggest crush on Tanisha Arnold, not to
mention Tisha Campbell, but but Tanisha, ooh, I love me
(32:27):
some Tanisa Arnold there, man, I did. I love me
some Tanisha Arnold. They always kind of reminded me a
lot of her. I don't know, certain mannerisms and she
just peace, you know, just certain things that she does.
She was reminding me of the Pam character and I
love it. Adam Pierce coming now and he revealed that, hey,
(32:49):
SummerSlam Ant, he's got to be up gave nod to
what EO and Rhea did at Evolution, saying it was
one of the best matches that he's seen. And I
have no doubt that as far as Match of the
Year candidates, Trust me, that's definitely gonna be up there.
It's definitely gonna be up there. If that doesn't take
(33:10):
the win, I'm very shocked to see what's gonna take
the win. And you know how we do it with
the Wrestling Awards. When we do it here, it's open ended.
We don't do like some of those other pos and
go naw, We're gonna force you to choose from It
is a write in your own ballot and I just
tally it up. So it'd be interesting to see how
you all are ranking that match and everything. But Adam
(33:32):
Pierce congratulating Naomi, welcoming her to Monday Night Raw, also
welcoming her, congratulating her as far as being the new
women's champion everything, But as far as Summer Slam, everything's
got to be bigger, it's got to be popping. And
as a result of that triple threat match at SummerSlam
with all of those girls for that championship, that makes
(33:54):
a lot of sense. That makes a lot of sense.
So if you're keeping tabs at home Summer Slam, okay,
So we now know triple threat match for the Raw
Women's Championship, okay, bt. We now know that Lyra is
going to be taken on Becky Lynch for that women's
Icy title. Okay bet. So some solid, some solid development
(34:18):
right there. Things are still a little bit murky there
with Roxanne Perez and rare Quel Rodriguez as far as
who their opponents might be at Summer Slam, But I
have a feeling by next week we'll definitely know a
lot more on that from there, trying to think if
there's anything else we need to talk about. Yeah, as
(34:39):
a matter of fact, there was some more women's action
by the way, Stephanie Vaquierre quotea fulfilled Stephanie Vaquire back
on Monday night. Raw. Oh yeahmen, oh yeahmen, oh yeah.
Oh cheducky ducky quack quack. I mean, my god, red
(35:00):
tights on a woman never looks so good. Let me
tell you, good guyd al mighty. Stephanie Vikuier back in
the house. Remember she won the Evolution Battle Royale, so
she'll be going to clash in Paris in late August.
She'll be getting that championship opportunity. She was being interviewed
(35:21):
by Jackie Redman when Chelsea Green crashed the scene with
her secret hervis. Every time I hear that, I just wait,
are you saying herbs like herbs like puff puff pass
pass or are you like what's But anyway they come in,
Chelsea Green is pretty much like, yo, I should be
(35:41):
getting that shot instead, and she pretty much mocks Stephanie
Vikier's name and all that. And Stephanie's ready to pounce,
but Chelsea's like, you got to excuse me because you
know you can look but you can't touch. As I'm
about to go take on a Hall of Famer peace right. Meanwhile,
so carry and cross with Scarlett blinked you may have
(36:04):
missed it. You may have missed it. Sammy Zaine is
still out as Cross is basking in the fact that
he took him out. Cross thinks that Zain is pretty
much hiding at home at this point, licking his wounds,
but says that Sammy Zay needs to stay there until
(36:27):
he is ready to say that Cross told the truth.
So we are continuing to see Carrie and Cross play
in the shadows. Love that, love that by my boy,
carry and Cross there, I love that by my boy.
He is on a row his book. By the way,
I gotta show this some love because I mean, wwe
(36:49):
they really are not promoting this. Actually, I won't even
say really far as I can tell, they're not promoting
Carryon Cross's book right now. Definitely want to show some love.
In case you guys are not aware his book is
available if I'm not mistaken for pre order right now,
(37:11):
and if you bear with me a second, I'm hoping
he actually pinned something in regards to his book, like
at the top or whatnot. Nah, he didn't, he didn't
pin it. He didn't pin it to the top. But no,
right now, Carry Across has a book that is available
for pre order right now, and it's called Life is
(37:32):
Fighting Again. It's called Life Is Fighting. And now you know,
I got to reach out to him in the next
couple of weeks and see how his schedule is looking.
I'd like to try to see if he might be
available for an interviewer too. The book is going to
be coming now on August fifth. Again, the book is
going to be coming now on August fifth, So as
(37:55):
it gets a little bit closer to that date, I'll
remind you guys. But it's available in paperback. You can
also get it for your Kendo, for your iPad, all
that good stuff. So love Love the mind games that's
continuing on there with our man Carry and Cross. First
(38:17):
of a couple of men nods if you're keeping track there,
Chelsea Green taking on Nicky Bella. You know I'm not
gonna sugarcoat this. First off, kudos to Chelsea Green picking
up the w kind of seems like, actually, correct you,
Nicki Bella actually picked up the win. Nicki Bella actually
(38:37):
picked up the win post match. Chelsea's her service tried
to gang up there on Nicki when Stephanie Viviker came
cleaned house even it up and pretty much the care
Bella celebrating and everything. I don't know, man, it kind
of feels like, especially when you look at the way
(38:58):
NICKI was kind of looking just little side eye there
at Stephanie vi Kre, you almost kind of get the
impression that maybe something's brewing, something's gonna be going down
between those two coming up at Summer Slam. Honestly, I'm
okay with that. And if you're keeping track, if you
had listened to the show two maybe three weeks ago
(39:18):
when Live Morgan got injured and everything, I did say,
so what happens now? Who slides in there next? Do
you maybe go with Stephanie vi Kre? Do you maybe like,
like what direction do you go? Or do you maybe
just try to see if you could pull somebody from
NXT and maybe kind of see if if they'll do
the honors to Nikki Bella and all that. I would
(39:40):
imagine that it definitely put creative in a shit Now
what do we do? What do we do here? Because man,
we're at a loss for words here. We were prepared
for this match and we don't even have a backup, Like,
now what do we do? So I kind of get
the impression that the kre and Bella is where they're
(40:01):
gonna go and everything, and if that's gonna be the case,
then honestly, I'm down with it, so as long as
we're not doing a babyface versus babyface. When I'll say this,
when it comes to the Bella's the one thing that
they did very well was getting under people's skin. So
if you're gonna have Nicky Bella do this match with
(40:23):
the Kiir, you gotta have Nicki as the heal. But
let's talk about this match. Let's talk about this match.
This was rough. This was extremely extremely rough to watch.
From what I saw from a pacing, timing, chemistry standpoint, synchronicity,
(40:44):
none of it was there with Nicki Bella. None of
it was there with Nicky Bella, particularly the sequence at
the end, that sequence at the end and setting up
the finishing move and all that it made Chelsea Green
just Jesus Christ almighty. That's all I got to say.
(41:05):
It was really, really, really bad ring Russ. This is
what's so infuriating to me about this match that I
had watched between these two, and anybody that has watched
enough Chelsea Green matches, you walked away from this match going. Definitively,
this ain't Chelsea's fault because we all have seen what
(41:30):
Chelsea like. You give Chelsea Green chicken shit, she can
you know, she can make the very best out of it.
If you are trying to, you know, have a match
with Chelsea Green and you know certain things is expected
of you to do and all of that. You know,
if Chelsea needs to take the lead, Chelsea will take
the lead and she'll make you look good. It was
(41:53):
just off, really off. I don't know if you want
to call this ring Russ. I don't know if you
called this Nikki Bella has not had enough time at
the performance center just working out the kinks behind the scenes.
I know she hadn't had a singles match in a
good wow, but this was not a great showing. Now
(42:18):
you heard me less than twenty four hours ago. Praise
to hell, a lot of trist stratus and the fact
that homegirl hadn't wrestled in like two years and she
came in and just boomed out the park. I mean
she hit a home run, first of all. First of all,
when it comes to the Bellas, it's never been a
(42:40):
case of we've gone boy that Nikki and Rebella. Boy,
they got some damn good matches, don't they. Like you know,
we're usually just looking at the beauty ness that is
the Bella Twins, let's be for real. But in the past,
the matches that they would do it's okay, that was
(43:01):
average at best. Wasn't the shits, But okay, I can
work with that average match. Okay, cool, but this was bad.
I'm hoping that the repetition, you know, the more reps
that Nikki gets, I'm really really hoping she's able to
step it up and everything. Meanwhile, New Day Grayson Waller
(43:27):
New Day talking with Adam Pierce talking about how they
are in the third stage of grieving over their tag
team title loss and everything they offer. Adam Pierce a
kumba Ya present, if you will. It's a piece, a
(43:47):
piece offering of two pays. You heard me right? And
did you see what I did there? It's a way
in the words, it's away with words. Pierce tells them
that he will not be giving them a tag team
title shot, but instead he will be offering them an
(44:08):
opportunity to become number one contenders and tells them to
not flip their wigs, which is exactly what Pierce does
as he flips those wigs that's on the silver tray
and everything. So we had that Russoph was being interviewed
(44:28):
by Jackie Redman backstage. Jackie was putting them over for
the match that he had the previous week against Seamus.
Seamus comes up from behind and says, yo, fella, you know,
we definitely got to run this back because you definitely
cheated Russeph pretty much like bring it. So looks like
(44:53):
that's going to be a Summer Slam rematch. I'm actually
looking forward to that. A nice little setup that we get.
Looking at Randy Orton, Jelly Roll logan, Paul Drew McIntyre
from Saturday Night's main event. For you guys that normally
do not watch late night talk shows, I feel where
you guys are coming from, trust me. But if you
(45:16):
are a fan of Randy Orton, and maybe you're a
fan of what's his face Jelly Roll, then you may
want to set your DVRs and all that to record
the Jimmy Kimmel Show because this Tuesday night, July fifteenth,
eleven thirty five pm Eastern West Coast time, that's gonna be,
(45:38):
like I think nine, No, I think eight thirty five,
eight thirty five on the West Coast, Jelly Roll is
going to be the special guest host and his guests.
One of his guests will be Randy Orton, So y'all
might want to check that out and everything. I'm actually
gonna check that out when I do. These days, when
(45:58):
I do decide I want to your little late night TV,
I can't stand Jimmy Fallon everything. Every time I turn around.
Somehow Jimmy Fallon has to make it be about himself.
I don't think he's funny, okay, like matter of opinions, right,
matter of opinions, But I just his comedy does nothing
(46:19):
for me. When I do decide I want to check
out some late night comedy these days, I'll eatter check
out Kimmel. But see, even at that, Kim will be
bitching all the time. Kim's always crying about something, and
it's always political. It's just gotten way too oversaturated with
the late night talk shows and whole political talk and
all that. But Jimmy Kimmell, he's always whining and crying
(46:42):
about something. But when he's not whining and crying, and
he's just doing some really good comedy. Shit, he's actually funny, right,
So check that out. You guys might like it. Definitely.
I'm gonna set my DVR. I'll be checking it out
and everything goother showing up next basking in his glory. Sorry,
Keith Lee, but you're nowhere to be seen right now.
(47:03):
You'll gladly get that back once you come back. But
Guther is basking in his glory over the fact that
he retired Goldberg, which is a great segue to this.
I want to thank the many of you that had
agreed with what I posted on social media in regards
to my thoughts on Goldberg and the fact that for
those of you that missed it, I basically put out
(47:25):
this post immediately after Saturday Night's main event wrapped up,
and I said, okay, so we basically bring back Bill
Goldberg for this no proper sendoff at SummerSlam. Some of
the laziest booking in WWE I've seen to date, on
(47:46):
top of all the other stuff that's been a miss
creatively in this company. Freaking joke. And this is coming
from a pretty neutral Goldberg fan, and the vast majority
of people agreed with me on this. They had like
fifty one likes a couple of replies. Shout out to Nicole,
(48:11):
who said, I guess Goldberg wanted it to be in Atlanta.
Hot Rod twenty twenty five has been disappointing for WWE.
Aw is starting to turn things in their favor. You know,
there are some things that WWE is doing right, and
then there's other things. Just from a creative standpoint, you're like,
what the hell? Aw yes are starting to turn things
(48:35):
in their favor. Anytime you're able to get me to
go wow. You know a lot of matches you did
at all in but overall a pretty good show and
we got a new world heavyweight champion. Okay, now I
want to poke my head on your aw television and
see what I've been missing. That's a good thing. Mitchell
who says, just straight up, Triple AH is terrible. Tom
(48:58):
Mean while saying this saw on Twitter. By the way,
Sam saying the same, what a letdown? Triple H is horrendous.
A man saying he wanted to retire in Atlanta, but
I hope WW releases his retirement speech. Son saying fucking
awful ending for real. I thought both Braun and Seth
(49:22):
were gonna intervene in cash in not have Goldberg go
to sleep in his final match versus a guy who
got put to sleep by Jay Uso. Who is making
these fucking decisions, fucking bipolar mfs. Here's a positive one.
This comes from some f that was a great sendoff.
(49:44):
Goldberg is aging and didn't have much left to give,
and he gave about as good a match as he
could have and got to main event in his hometown.
I disagree. Jody meanwhile thinks that it was the passage
of the torch. Meanwhile, more harsher comment from the Hall
(50:08):
of Horror. Goldberg sucks. He's old and he's not a wrestler.
He's lucky he came back in any capacity. So I
have a very interesting update that I want to share
with you guys in regards to all of this. A
lot of good comments, right, a lot of good discussions
and all that stuff. So I did some research and
shout out to Mike Johnson of p W Insider. Usually
(50:33):
when Mike Johnson puts some stuff out there, you know
you can trust it. You can trust it with accuracy,
and Mike Johnson is one of those people that if
he needs to make a correction to a story, he's reporting,
he always does it. If he needs to make a retraction,
he does it. He always puts out the respective correction.
(50:55):
But very seldom is he wrong. So Mike Johnson, a
PW insider, had a very interesting report concerning Bill Goldberg.
So apparently, and I would love to hear Bill Goldberg
follow up on this in a future interview. But according
to Mike Johnson's information, WWE logistically felt that Bill Goldberg
(51:26):
needed to do Saturday Night's main event. There was never
a discussion between Bill Goldberg and WWE of why don't
we have you retire at SummerSlam? Can you work Summer Slam?
Would you be willing to work Summer Slam? There was
never those conversations at all. WWE basically pulled a pulp
(51:51):
fiction and said Saturday Night's main event for July twelfth,
twenty twenty five, take it or leave it. But that's
where your ass goes down, and Bill Goldberg took it. Now.
Just hearing that and shout out to Mike Johnson for
(52:13):
that report. Just hearing that, and as I was saying,
I'm like, and I'm cross referencing this as I'm researching
online because I'm trying to find out. Like, okay, so
what did Bill Goldberg not want to do SummerSlam? Like
WWE never never, at least according to Mike Johnson, WWE
(52:35):
never even considered Summer Slam an option for Bill Goldberg. Now,
I don't know about you guys, but I hear that
and I just go, wow, that is some pretty that's
some pretty stupid ass booking, especially from a marketing standpoint.
(52:55):
That is just really this is how and not for
nothing the match that Bill Goldberg had I think it
should have at least been a situation where you have
Bill Goldberg. Okay, well, let's see how the Saturday Night's
main event goes, because you know, maybe the way we
(53:17):
can kind of, you know, figure this out. You know,
maybe we can somehow have Bill Goldberg, you know, either
when via disqualification, Like dude, you understand I'm saying, do
some type of a cliffhanger where you're going, So, does
this mean Bill Goldberg gets the title or the title's
not changing on the case of a disqualification, or you
(53:41):
have Bill Goldberg when you definitely could have gone in
that direction for sure, just to okay, he did good
hearing this match. Let's go ahead, and let's change the finish, right,
you could have done it off the fly and somehow
figure out a way to really have him have a
(54:01):
proper send off. Now look, now, look, you can still
do a proper sendoff for Bill Goldberg. You can still
do it. The only question is does WWE actually want
to do that? Do they actually want to somehow figure
out a way to incorporate Goldberg at SummerSlam and give
(54:23):
him the biggest proper sendoff, Like do you maybe have
him be a special guest referee, a special enforcer. You know,
you could definitely do something along those lines. But yeah,
I just wanted to share that with you guys, because
I thought that was very interesting that SummerSlam was never discussed.
(54:44):
It was never an option. Let's see, we got one
more match to talk about there. It ties into goother
by the way, I didn't forget about that. But yeah,
Gunther pretty much boosting over the fact that he beat
Goldberg and everything, and he going on to talk about
how he'll be watching from his executive suite. The main
(55:05):
event match, the Gauntlet Match, are one and only men's match.
As Paul Hayman comes out, tries to shake Gunther's hand
and is getting ready to go into his trademark.
Speaker 3 (55:18):
Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Hayman, and Gunther
just pretty much cuts that down, tries to excuse himself,
but Hayman explains, Yo, you looking at your next challenger,
it's gonna be bron Breaker.
Speaker 2 (55:40):
Gunther just walked away from that pretty much like y'all talk.
But let's see you actually do the damn thing. Remember
the gauntlet match, jay Uso, Pent bron Breaker, La Night,
CM Punk. Winner of this advances to SummerSlam faces Guther
(56:02):
for that World championship. Boy, I'll tell you what bron
Breaker was close, man, I don't think bron Breaker. I
think this was the longest he's ever worked a match
because he steamrolled through all the other opponents. He steamrolled
through Penta, he steamrolled through who is that La No
(56:29):
No jay Uso? He steamrolled through La Night, and then
he steamrolled No No jay Uso is actually number four?
Forgive me. Jay Usso was actually number four. But he
steamrolled through Penta, then he took out La Night, Then
he took out jay Usso. Then it came down to
him and CM Punk. The numbers game really didn't start
(56:54):
being a factor until Big Bronson Reed came in there
during Jay Uso because Jay Uso had tried doing the
super fly spat splash, Bronson breaking it up, Cole reminding
us there's no disqualifications apparently in this and then a
(57:15):
super spear from Breaker eliminating Uso. You know, they did
a funny joint when Uso and Breaker were fighting, if
I remember it right. They were getting ready to do
a commercial break, and Jay Uso decided, yo, guys, run
(57:36):
my music again, and he was celebrating, and I just
thought to myself, you know, if there was ever an
opportunity to come back from commercial and we see Bron
Breaker just spear of shit out of Jay Huso and
gets to win, I'd pop it didn't happen, And look,
I'm glad it didn't have, but I just thought that
would have been funny because that was just a little
(57:58):
bit too much show boat that was going on there.
See them punk your fifth entrant coming in there, striking hard,
striking fast. Pretty much. We ended up taking another commercial
break and everything. I love the trash talking that Bron
was doing. He's getting more and more comfortable in his
skin as a performer, as a presenter and all that.
(58:21):
I love that final moments of this match see them
Punk try climbing up to the top Big Bronson Reid
tried to interfering. Seem Punk had this scouted a mile away,
managed to ward off the attacks there from Bronson. Reed
connected with a beautiful macho man Randy Savage elbow wasn't
(58:47):
enough to get the job done there. Punk eventually transitioning
to the Anacon device. Reed comes in there for to
save this forces Jay Usso to come out and he
manages to you know, fight him off just a tiny
little bit. Meanwhile, a super spear gets countered into a GTS.
(59:14):
Give Punk the win with the pen. Get the win
with the pen one two three, about forty minutes of
a match. This was one hell of a showing for
bron Breaker because Bron basically went at it for like
about forty plus minutes in this one, and there was
(59:35):
multiple times where he was drinking a decent amount of
water and everything. You see him trying to catch his
breath in all that. This is a special piece of
talent that we're looking at here. And I said it
a long time ago, and I echoed the sentiments of
a lot.
Speaker 3 (59:52):
Of you all.
Speaker 2 (59:52):
Yeah, as far as the future for WWE, for like
the next decade plus, bron Breaker is definitely that guy.
We are watching something organically special that's in the making
right here with Broun Breaker. So Punk who now gets
his title shot at Summer Slam. You know, I wish
(01:00:17):
it would have been Broun Breaker there, I really really do.
That would have been a very interesting matchup. But if
I'm being honest with you guys, that's something that no,
that is a future WrestleMania moment, honestly, is Goother and
Breaker under the right circumstances and all that, Like, let's
see what happens with that. It should be a damn
(01:00:38):
good program between Punk and Goonther. I'm more so looking
forward to the exchanges between those two with the trash
talking in the coming weeks. That's what I most look
most interested and giddy and then looking forward to over
the next couple of weeks. Postmatch read jumps Punk again.
USO comes in there for to say, Breaker hits a
(01:01:00):
spear to USO another one to Punk, setting everything up
for a double tusunami. When all of a sudden, queue
up the music of the OTC one that's what he's
calling himself. Now OTC one really didn't need that, but whatever, man,
(01:01:22):
we don't need that one in there. Whatever, Roman rains,
he's back, Superman punched to both guys, laying their asses off,
drops in a spear there on read. Rain's looking at
jay Uso, happy to see him, extends a hand, helps
him off his ass. Roman continues to look at Punk
(01:01:46):
just like, I still don't like you, dude. It's like,
I still don't like you, dude. Kind of interesting what
we what we got going on here? So I guess
it's safe to say that Roman Rain, jay Uso they'll
be teaming up to take on bron Breaker and Bronson
Reid at SummerSlam. At least that's the impression that I'm
(01:02:10):
under with for this one. But nice little bookend to
Monday Night Raw Fast two and a half hours, pretty
good addition, especially on the wrestling standpoint. With the exception
of the Chelsea Green Nikki Bella match, this was overall
(01:02:34):
a very solid card, especially in the way they were
helped setting up SummerSlam and everything so very good, very good,
especially with the continuation off what they did from the
Evolution event and all that strong strong opening strong week
to kick off a new week of wrestling from all
(01:02:56):
our favorite promotions. Honestly, but this was definitely the more
one of them, more enjoyable editions of Monday Night Raw
in recent memory. To the polls, we go, Let's see
what you guys had to say. Let's go over to
Twitter first and see what you all are talking about
over there. Right now, I'm saying twenty two percent of
the votes giving this week's July fourteenth edition of Raw
(01:03:21):
a thumbs down. Meanwhile, seventy seven percent of you are
giving it a thumbs up. Appreciate you guys that voted
over there. Let's see how you guys have voted over
on YouTube. You can click on the post section go
to the Oh it's not loading up? Why aren't you
loading up? Go over on YouTube dot com fort slasht
(01:03:43):
THERCWR show and click on the post section and you'll
be able to vote that way. Now it's loading up.
For some reason, I got an error. I don't know
what that was about. Shout out to you guys that's
watching via YouTube. By the way, if you haven't done
so already, do me a huge favor subscribe hit the
bell notification hit the like for this episode. That way
you know about future content because we're always uploading new
stuff and everything. Right now, one hundred percent of the
(01:04:05):
votes coming in would say it was a It was
definitely a thumbs up episode. Definitely a thumbs up edition.
So definitely one of the more enjoyable shows. High point
low point of the night. Definitely the low point Chelsea
Green Nikki Bella by no stretch, not on Chelsea Grain,
not her fault whatsoever. High point the strong dominating entering performance.
(01:04:30):
Fantastic performance at that by bron Breaker for sure. For sure.
While we're talking polls, let's see how you guys have
voted on the rest of the polls. Here, get a
final tally for how things are looking in regards to
all the shows that we had from Saturday and Sunday,
and then I'll give you my take as far as
(01:04:51):
ranking all the events given a overall letter grade. We
didn't do a letter grade over the weekend, so now
we're going to give a letter grade and all that.
Let's see how things are looking. First for evolution the
final tally, I'm still on YouTube. Final tally. I'm seeing
twenty seven percent of you gave Evolution a thumbs down, well,
(01:05:12):
seventy three percent of you gave it a thumbs up.
And in regards to Saturday Night's main event, I see
thirteen percent of you said Goldberg should have won, twenty
five percent of you felt the show was a thumbs up,
and an overwhelming sixty three percent of you said it
(01:05:34):
was a thumbs down. Meanwhile, aw All in Texas, thirty
one percent of you gave the show a thumbs down
and sixty nine percent of you gave it a thumbs up.
And for NXT Great American Bash, thirteen percent of you
(01:05:55):
gave it a thumbs down, eighty eight percent of you
gave it a thumbs up. Let's see how things are
looking over on Twitter, because I can now take a
look at all the voting that's coming in over there.
I believe the polls have finally wrapped up in everything.
(01:06:17):
Let's see, I see one poll, I see my second poll. Okay,
I'm going backwards then, all right, So for Evolution, this
is all Twitter poll results now, nineteen percent of you
gave Evolution the thumbs down, eighty one percent of you
(01:06:37):
said thumbs up. Meanwhile, Saturday Night's main event, nine percent
of you felt Goldberg should have won. Twenty six percent
of you felt the show was a thumbs up, and
(01:06:59):
sixty three percent of you said thumbs down. Very very interesting,
very very very telling, very telling. I gotta say aew all,
in twenty percent of you gave that event a thumbs
down while eighty percent of you gave it a thumbs up.
(01:07:20):
And I think at this point we just need the
Great American Bash results. And here that is one hundred
percent said that Great American Bash thumbs up. So I
appreciate everybody that cast their votes all throughout the weekend
and everything. I appreciate that. Did we look at tonight's
(01:07:43):
raw Yeah we did. We did go over tonight's raw
results the poll results. Yeah, so okay ooh. You know,
for me looking at all the events now, ranking them
properly and giving them a letter grade, I would have
to say that number one, number one would be Evolution,
(01:08:10):
and my letter grade for that I am willing to
go as high as definitely a B. But I'm wondering
if it's a B plus. That's the only thing I'm wondering.
If it's a B plus. I think for me it
would be a B plus if it wasn't the fact
that we got a Battle Royale in there. I understand
(01:08:31):
what that Battle Royale was about, the stakes and everything,
but I've always felt battle royales it's just lazy bucking,
Like I would rather trade off that Battle Royale for
an actual one on one match or a triple thread
or a fatal four way tag match, Like I just
(01:08:53):
I want to see some type of just give me
a match, give me a match besides a Battle Royale.
Just just do that instead, you know, or just take
that time that was supposed before that Battle Royale and
give that time to maybe some of the other matches
and everything. So, because it's honestly one of those deals
(01:09:14):
where when I play back Evolution in my head, because
remember when I was doing the Evolution postho Live, you know,
I told you guys, like, if I had to pick,
you know, something of a low point, I said, well,
I guess I got to look at that Battle Royale
because it's just and for me, I've just always felt
lazy booking. When you do a Battle Royale, It's like
(01:09:34):
you're just trying to kill time, and I just I
don't like feeling that way. So yeah, I'm gonna say
a letter grade B for evolution be a B plus
if you maybe had got rid of that Battle Royale.
My number two again all based from the weekend. My
number two would definitely be contrary to the fact that
(01:09:58):
it was rather long. And I see all the running jokes,
and one thing that is a fact is apparently this
aw all in twenty twenty five Texas event was longer
apparently than I guess WrestleMania thirty five. Is that how
I'm understanding this? Is that correct? That's insane. That is insane.
(01:10:18):
But you know, fifty dollars, twelve matches, eight hours of programming.
That is, if you did watch zero Hour, which was
a two hour event, and all that, you know, you're
talking eight plus hours got you got some nice big
bang for your buck. There no like but like we
(01:10:39):
have been. So when it's all said and done, we
know how aaw rows. We know how aaw rows. This
is nothing new. We know they are a long winded goddamn.
This was as long winded as you know. I thought
I was bad at times when I say, oh, we're
gonna do, you know, a ninety minute show and then
we end up doing a two hour show. But this
(01:11:01):
was like no, really, seriously, dude, this is bad on
like so many levels. As far as you know, they
went overkill putting that to the side. I gotta say,
I really enjoyed that card. I really really enjoyed that card.
That would be my number two. I would put that
one at You definitely had a lot of over the
(01:11:31):
top over booking, well a little you know, a little
bit of too much overbooking going on. I'm thinking about
some of the finishes to the matches as well. Some
just kind of left me going, eh, you know, I'd
be willing to give that a B minus. So for
(01:11:54):
you AW fans, you should be very happy with that.
Aw all in I'm giving that a B minus. I
can't go oh higher. I'm not gonna go any lower
B minus. I think that's honestly more than fair. NXT,
Great American Bash, NXT, great American Bash. That one for me.
(01:12:21):
I gotta actually, I gotta actually look at that card again.
I gotta actually look at that card again. Barrow me
in a second here, because I actually want to look
at that card again. And I see the card now,
you know, Ethan Page and Ricky Saints, that was a
damn good matchup. That was a damn good matchup Jordan Grace,
(01:12:43):
Blake Monroe taking on fatal influences j C, Jamee Fallon Henry.
That actually was a pretty good one as well. The
NXT North American Championship match that was okay. That was
okay for what it was worth. I would give that
one a hmm. That's a tricky one. That's a tricky one, guys,
(01:13:11):
that really is a tricky one. I would give that
a C plus. I would give that a C plus. Look,
the entering action overall fairly good, honestly, fairly fairly good.
I definitely think it would be in the solid C range.
No plus, definitely, no minus. I think minus the Ethan
(01:13:37):
Page Ricky Saints. You know what a difference plus or game,
What a difference that makes because without it, I honestly
thinking about it a little bit more, you're looking at
a C minus for that Great American Bash edition. But
with that you definitely, in my book, you secure a C.
(01:14:01):
I've seen. Here's the thing, because it might be sounding
a little bit too critical for you, guys. I've seen
better takeover events. I've seen better, better shows from NXT.
This wasn't the best one as far as I'm concerned,
this wasn't you know, it was okay, but like you know,
(01:14:22):
what was my biggest takeaway as I was watching this show.
I didn't get enough. Yo. This definitely does not feel
like I'm watching weekly NXT TV, and yet I felt
like I was watching NXT television if that makes sense
(01:14:42):
at all, But that's how I felt as I was
watching it and then rounding everything off. As far as
Saturday Night's main event, I really agree with the vast
majority of you guys as far as how you all
were feeling that show. I am going to give that
(01:15:03):
one because I'm looking at the card for that one
right now. You know, the Goother Goldberg match is actually
pretty good, pretty good. Anybody that says otherwise likely they
did not watch the match or they have that much
of a deep hatred for the Goldberg. And not to mention,
I know there's a decent amount of people that don't
(01:15:24):
like Guther. So you know, the La Night Seth Rollins
match that was actually pretty good. Goother Goldberg was definitely Yeah,
Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre was good for what it
was worth, but it was more about the celebrities and
building up towards Summer Slam. As far as I was concerned,
(01:15:47):
I appreciate the effort as always, so I always take
that into consideration. That would be a C minus. That
would be a C minus of a show in my book.
It just felt more like this addition a Saturday Night's
main event. It felt more like we just got to
meet this quota. Let's just meet this quota and you know,
(01:16:08):
get this out the way so we can just It
did not feel special by any stretch, right down to
the point like the fact that we only got to
hear from Jesse Ventra one time, just one fricking time. Yeah,
when we went into Evolution, and I get it, I
get it. But yet when we went to Evolution, we were
(01:16:28):
able to hear a lot from Stephanie McMahon. It was
like night and day, day and night, night and day. Yeah. Yeah,
it was not a fan Yeah. So that would be
definitely the lowest out of the events from over the weekend.
That's how definitely I would rank them. How are you
ranking all the events? If yad all of them, our
(01:16:49):
rankings are about right. Definitely sound off. Let me know.
It was nice hearing some of my friends and the
Podcasting World. Sure, virtually the same thoughts I had for
the Evolution event overall, definitely refreshingly hear. I gotta say,
let's talk a little bit of wrestling news before we
(01:17:09):
get ready to dip out here. It's not too much
that's gone down since last I was on the air
with you guys. We already talked about Jelly Roll hosting
this week for Jimmy Kimmel. Randy Orton is going to
be on Tuesday. We already talked about that one. Got
some trist Stratus news for you guys. She did talk
about whether or not she is potentially gonna be retiring,
(01:17:35):
if we've essentially seen the last of her and all that,
does she have another match or two in her Here's
what she had to say. She said, I've I have
had that thought like, is this the last time the
ww universe has been so wonderful to me and so supportive?
I just feel so blessed to dip my toes into
(01:17:56):
the current landscape. It's been twenty years, is tw Like?
What the heck? It's never lost on me how lucky
I am to know we built me, Ivory, Jackie, the
girls you saw in the audience lead. Of course, Mickey,
we built the foundation that they built a skyscraper on.
(01:18:17):
Now that I get to come back and dip into
that skyscraper, I feel blessed. I always have to worry.
I have to make sure I can hang with these girls.
I watch the girls and I'm like stammering. I want
to knock down the preconceived notions about maybe there is
(01:18:37):
no expiration date until you say it is. It's not
over until you say it's over. And as far as
if she would be back, she said it's her twenty
fifth year. She wants to make it a good one,
So you know, I would imagine that after the fantastic
(01:18:57):
performance that she had at Evolution, I say, yo, if
you can figure out some type of way to incorporate
her at Summer Slam or maybe going into Survivor series,
definitely definitely pulled the trigger and do that. I really
hope that we get to see at least two, maybe
(01:19:18):
three more performances out of Trish Stratus before the year
is out, you know, thinking of Evolution. By the way,
you all may have noticed that Lillian Garcia for you
Lily and Garcia fans, she was not part of evolution
just she was part of the first one after all. Well,
there's a reason for that because originally she was supposed
(01:19:39):
to be re announcing and everything, and Alicia Taylor had
to step in for her. Speedy recovery goes out to
Lily and Garcia because she's dealing with some respiratory issues.
It initially went down a couple of weeks ago. She
thought she had fully recovered, but she's still having respiratory issues,
so she had to sit this evolution out. Let's just
(01:20:02):
hope that into a correction. I want to make from yesterday,
I said, ten years since the last evolution, close to it,
close to it, but not quite. It was actually in
twenty eighteen was the first evolution event. Let's hope it
doesn't take that long again for another evolution event to happen. Kelly, Kelly,
(01:20:26):
she sound off, letting folks know that WWEE did ask
her to be part of the evolution event. They said
to her, Hey, how would you like to come and
help us with this event. We'd love it if you
could sit front row and you could pretty much be
with the rest of the legends, And she declined, respectfully.
(01:20:48):
Her whole thing was she appreciates everything, especially being part
of that first evolution, but that she's rooting the girls on,
but that she's wasn't quite ready to return yet. And furthermore,
that's not how she wanted to return to WWE. So
(01:21:08):
it kind of makes you wonder, so what is this.
You're seeing what Tris Stratus is doing and some of
these other girls, and you're kind of saying to yourself, Kelly, Kelly,
that no, I think I got the itch. I think
I maybe want to do something in the ring instead.
I think I got a couple of more in me.
Just took me up with the right opponent. You know,
(01:21:31):
I'm kind of reading it between the lines a little bit,
and that's definitely the impression that I was given there.
You know, we were talking about WWE two k earlier.
By the way, for those of you that might be
a little bit on the fence with that game, I'm
going to give you the biggest piece of advice right now,
something that I'm going to be taking myself if I
(01:21:52):
end up pulling the trigger and I decide I want
to get this game. There is some current glitch issue
that's happening as two K is investigating reports of missing
custom images and all that from the latest patch that
came out right now, they're on patch one point eighteen,
(01:22:15):
and they're on patch one point eighteen, and yeah, something's
going on with the custom images and all that, and
as a result of that, it's been creating a lot
of headaches, as you could probably imagine for content creators.
Two K acknowledge that they are aware of this, and
they are quickly trying to do a workaround and have
(01:22:37):
a patch be available a lot sooner rather than later. Now,
I know you got the new Jack DLC stuff that's
supposed to be coming out later this month on the
twenty third, So hopefully maybe keep your fingers crossed. Hopefully
maybe by about that time they will have when that
(01:22:57):
DLC drops, they'll have it and the newest patch that
will address all of that. And then also two K
had made an announcement earlier today that something is going
to be changing with some future DC content, as apparently
(01:23:22):
El Grande Americano will replace the New Wavepack Celebrity Guests
with unique Entrance Music move set. He'll be automatically entitled
to players who own the New Wavepack, Season Pass, Ringside Pass,
dead Man Edition, and Bloodline edition in September. So some
(01:23:49):
people are happy that they're going to be getting him,
but then there's others that are a little bit, you know, disappointed.
Other people are like, ah, I would have rather had
this instead. You know, I don't know one person that
said I'd rather have nineteen ninety nine Triple H, Like,
come on, man, me, personally, I'd rather have I'd rather
(01:24:14):
have Triple H two thousand and two. I'd rather have
that skin render with the denim jacket and all that.
I actually have that denim jacket too, not the one
that Triple H wore, but for Christmas about maybe three
four years ago. It's very rare. I actually know, I
think it's been I think it's been two years now,
(01:24:36):
almost three years since I've had that jacket. It's very rare.
I bust that jacket out. It is very very rare,
very rare. But I love that jacket. I love that jacket.
Shout out to James Gunn and crew for the New
Superman movie starring David corn Sweat. What a fantastic Clark
(01:24:57):
Kent slash Superman be Trail portrayal. I saw that in
theaters Friday. I watched it in Imax. I experienced it
in Imax with Tams. We went to AMC Theaters for
it and we had a great time. I know that
(01:25:20):
for some fans, ah, this doesn't make sense. They cramped
so much shitt in here. A lot of it just
kind of went over the head. And I see there's
this running joke, and I'm sure Tams would definitely agree
with this, which is greatest movie ever on immigration, And
(01:25:42):
those are just people that's being assholes. But when you
really really stop and think about it, you know those
that actually grew up on the comic books and all that,
Lex Luthor always came off very discriminating towards the last
son of Krypton. He always came off that way, So
(01:26:03):
I thought it was rather interesting how they really leaned
heavily into it. Nicholas Holt, I believe that's his name.
He did a fantastic job as as a Lex Luthor.
I talked a lot more about the movie. I did
like a three minute review. It's available on YouTube, so
(01:26:27):
check that out if you guys are interested. But I
had a fantastic time. I told Tams, I said, look,
we got to go see this movie again. What do
you say? And she said, yeah, I'm definitely down with that.
What are you thinking see it in three D? You know,
we were our three D glasses, like we could do
something like that. And there's this really cool theater called
(01:26:47):
screen Ticks where it's not a flat screen apparently, it's
like this almost oval shaped kind of see curvy shape
like projector screen that you get to experience the movie
on with this great rich, enhanced surrounded sound and everything,
(01:27:09):
and you know, it almost kind of feels like maybe
you're checking out a show at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
So I said, yeah, if you want to, you know,
do that, we can do that. Let's do that. So
but check it out. You haven't not seen the New
Superman movie yet. You're a little bit on the fence
and all that. Check it out. I remember telling TAM's
(01:27:31):
I said, yo, I like, you know, this is the
first time I've ever said that like this as long
as me and her have been together. I said, yo,
I love that New Superman movie so much. I think
I might want a Superman symbol on my arm. And
she goes, whoa, And then she goes, what if you
put one of the girls, you know, one of our Yorkies.
(01:27:51):
She goes, what if you put one of the girls,
you know, maybe wearing a little cap or whatever, and
you kind of have that be the tail end of
your Superman's symbol. I thought about that, I said, huh.
I said that that'd be kind of interesting. She goes, yeah, yeah,
it's like something to think about it. She's like, you
don't have to do that, but like, yeah, yeah, Like
I think you look pretty good with the with the
(01:28:13):
Superman's symbol, like yeah, like yeah, And then she was like,
you're gonna put some color in it, right. I'm like, wait,
you think I can pull off the red and getting
some yellow in there? She goes yeah. She was like,
your arms and all that is very light compared to
your face. Like, obviously I look pretty leveled up here,
(01:28:34):
but my arms, my legs, my chest, my stomach, it's
all light. It's all light. I don't I know Michael
Jackson thing going on, but it's just all those other
areas it's lighter. My face is darker. So she's like, no, no,
you can definitely pull it off. I'm like, oh, okay,
so I know we're gonna we're gonna see, uh, We're
(01:28:56):
gonna see what happens. First thing is, first though I
don't know if some of you guys are happening some
of the same issues that I'm having, but like, especially
in the summertime particularly, I get these heat bumps. I
sometimes get really bad acne scars and all that. And
as some of you guys know that have done your
fair share of tattooing and a lot of tattoo artists,
(01:29:17):
they're really good at working around those type of areas.
But then you've got some that it's like I can't
do anything because it's just I'm gonna mess you up,
and you got to take like you gotta utilize like
certain soaps all that other stuff to try to clear
that up and everything. So first things first, I want
to try to clear those areas where I know for
(01:29:37):
a facut on ministry and getting some work done, I
want to clear that up before even getting some work
done and all that. NXT preview for this week, by
the way, for those of you that are maybe not aware,
remember we've got Joe Hendry, Trick Williams, and Mike Sante.
(01:30:00):
They're gonna be teaming up to take on Dark State. Meanwhile,
Tony DiAngelo will be in a triple threat match against
Channing Lorenzo and Luca Crucifin. So that's just some of
the matches that we're gonna be seeing on this week's
NX NXT. Not to mention the LFG. You know that
(01:30:21):
reality show by WWE, The LFG Coaches for the second season,
Michelle McCool, Undertaker, Booker, t Bubba Ray Dudley, they will
be in attendance, FYI, they will be in attendance. And
then of course this week's ae W we're gonna be
dealing with fallout from all in. I tried looking online
(01:30:48):
as far as what's going on with Brian Danielson, so like,
is he back or was that just like a one
time deal. I know he did a match, not for aew,
but he did a match last month. I guess he
was trying to get a good gauge on where he
is and everything. But you know, last I read was
(01:31:09):
that the way it might be looking going forward is
to sporadically use Brian Danielson. And not for nothing. It's
not like Brian Danielson hasn't been doing anything with ae W.
The man has been helping out creatively and and all
that other stuff. So you know, but I know a
(01:31:32):
lot of you guys definitely miss seeing him in the ring.
I definitely miss seeing the guy as well. But I
tell you what, I got a huge, huge pop seeing
him this this past weekend. I got the biggest smile
on my face and I was just right there throwing
(01:31:53):
up the yes chance, you know, hand gestures and and
all of that stuff. So remember, we got TNA Slammer
Versary that's gonna be coming up live from Long Island
this coming weekend as a matter of fact, And for
the TNA World Heavyweight Championship is gonna be Trick Williams
(01:32:14):
S Trick mister t In a Trick and a Williams.
He's gonna be defending that title against Joe Hendry and
Mike Santana. So this week's edition of Impact Wrestling, that's
gonna be our TNA Wrestling. That's gonna be their go
home show for setting up Slammer Versary. And I'm just
(01:32:39):
trying to see, like what other stuff is going to
be happening at Slammer Versary, because we've yet to really
poke our head in there and see what's going on
with Slammer Versary for this coming weekend way. That card
is looking right now. We've got about seven matches. We
got Masha Slamovich taken on j C. Jaane is going
(01:33:03):
to be title versus title, TNA Knockouts Title, NXT Women's Title,
both on the line, winner takes all match. We've got
the Elegance Brand taking on the Inspiration Tag match for
the Knockouts Tag titles. Cedric Alexander will face Mustafa a Lee.
(01:33:23):
Tessa Blanchard meanwhile, will be taken on Indy Hartwell. That
should be a pretty dawn good matchup. The Nimmas. Meanwhile,
they'll be defending their TNA Tag titles in the four
way match against the Hardy's, the Rascals and First Classes.
AJ Francis and Casey Navarro. Moose meanwhile will be defending
the X Division Championship against Leon Slater. We already told
(01:33:47):
you about the main event match. So it's looking like
a really really good, solid ass card that's going to
be coming up. All said and done, so some really
good stuff that we got lined up for this week,
and then SmackDown Friday. SmackDown Don't forget about that one.
John Cena returns and and Cody Rhodes are being advertised,
(01:34:07):
they'll be on that show under the same roof, So
that should be a really good segment that we got
coming up. And other than that, yeah, that is pretty
much it. So as far as programming notes go, I'm
toying around with the idea. I kind of feel like
maybe we might do a TNA Slammer Verse repost show.
(01:34:31):
I think what I'll end up doing is polling you
guys to see if that's something you all want, and
if it is, then I will plan accordingly. So I'm
gonna put a poll up on YouTube, and the way
I want you guys to operate only vote on it
if you know for a fact you're gonna be live,
(01:34:52):
you'll be around, and you want to represent, and you
are gonna be watching the show yourself, and or you
want to know what I thought about TNA Slammer Versary.
I think that's the best way that we should try
and do this. Now, you may be in a situation where, well, Lee,
I don't plan on watching Slammer Versary, but I do
(01:35:14):
know enough about the TNA product. I know what's going on.
Money is a little bit tight, so unfortunately I can't
afford to buy the Slammer Versary event, but I would
like to hear your coverage and all that. You can
definitely vote. You are definitely welcome to vote as well.
So I'll have that posted sometime early Tuesday afternoon. It
(01:35:37):
would just be a YouTube exclusive and we'll just let
that bad boy stay active until I would say, we'll
have to cut off the Saturday afternoon, like let's say
like let's say like Saturday by like seven pm. That's
(01:35:58):
when I'll call. I'll do the tallying up, see what's
going on. Pretty much go from there, all right. But
other than that, I know for sure your next edition
of the RCWR Show is going to be coming at
you guys on Monday, July twenty first, twenty twenty five,
will be minutes removed from an all new WWE raw.
(01:36:22):
We will be inching a little bit of a step
closer there to Summer Slam. So thanks to really get
heated up there, especially between Punk and goonther So I'm
definitely looking forward to that show. Shout out to everybody
that supports the show. Shout out to my buddies and
Julian and Cannon of Digitay and then Nocturnal. Shout out
(01:36:45):

holding it down, especially with the audio shows. Give me

added it to your favorites, add it to your favorites,
and definitely check out the shows from time to time
on there Cuz I'm toying around with some stuff. But

be available for our Spotify listeners. Again, only for our
Spotify listeners. B Kyrie Wind check out previous episodes. You

Speaker 1 (01:38:06):
In Infinity One Productions presentation, give me an honest, insightful
and interactive
