Speaker 2 (01:52):
Here we are the RCWR Show with Lea Sairers. Hi,
boys and girls, what is going on? Centers with you
all for this Monday night off September twenty ninth, twenty
twenty five. WWE Raw on Netflix, just wrapping up. What
say you guys? Sound off? Let you your voices be
heard about tonight's edition of Raw. We are live across
(02:17):
multiple platforms right now. We do have a poll up
too over on Twitter at the RCWR Show. You can
vote over there, same polling options you'll see on our
YouTube page as well, YouTube dot Com fort Slash the
RCWR Show. Click on the post section. Now, I gotta
tell you your man is running into two enemies right now,
(02:39):
and we're going to see how much of an impact
it's going to have on this show. My plan is
to be like an hour, maybe an hour fifteen minutes
in and out. My voice has been coming in and
now all weekend long, so I your guess is as
good as mine. Maybe it's a weird flu bug that's
(03:01):
going on. I know over here on the East Coast
we've kind of been dealing with some sea salt like temperatures. Women,
it is extremely cold, so cold that when you get
into nighttime you really don't need your ac on, and
it's kind of almost been really really pleasant during the daytime.
You just get away wearing a t shirt, you know,
(03:22):
or even a turtleneck like what I'm wearing now. But
I know, I think I've come down on a little
bit of a weird flu bug. And then number two,
since I wasn't feeling too good, I did make sure
to take day Quil, but I also went on the
head and took my sleep aid a little early since
I wasn't feeling too good. So normally I don't do that.
I wait to take my sleep aid after I'm done
(03:44):
with the show, but I kind of wanted to make
sure that I quickly was able to get right in
the bed and fall asleep afterwards. So we'll see how
this goes tonight, you guys pick a good night tuning
in as always, man, we are fresh off of a
very solid weekend. By the way, wait, appreciate you guys
that had tuned in and you checked out my NXT
No Mercy post show. I loved doing that for you guys,
(04:08):
especially since it was an impromptu episode. Didn't plan on
doing it, but it's funny how things had played out.
We also spent part of the weekend dropping not one,
but two album reviews. I was telling Wifey the other day,
I said, Babe, I can't remember the last time, if
at all, we did two album reviews in one week,
(04:31):
let alone like back to back days. And she thought
about it because she's usually right there with me helping
me record stuff. And she goes, Nah, as long as
you've been doing your album reviews, you've never done anything
back to back and released them in the same week.
And I was like, she's got a better memory than
I do on some things, especially when it comes to
(04:53):
stuff like that, trivial stuff like that. I was like, Wow,
that's so check those out. We reviewed the new nine
inch Nails tron Aries soundtrack, and we also reviewed the
new Robert Plant Saving Grace featuring Susie Diane album. So
some good stuff, man. So following all of that, covering
(05:13):
Tonight's raw, also gonna talk about how Gail Kim she
just don't give a fuck. Man, Gail Kim coming out there,
she going at it nice and hard. I'm telling you what.
She don't care who she pissed off on social media.
We'll dive into that whole thing in case you've been
under a rock. Got an updated list of the twenty
(05:34):
twenty five WWE releases so far, keeping in mind that
we got only a couple of months to go for
this calendar year. But it's nice to kind of go
back and just kind of reminisce get caught up to
date because some people way, I didn't even know that
person was released. Like when I was thinking about it
over the weekend, I was wondering, if you'll know exactly
(05:58):
what I'm talking about. But there was one particular wrestler
down in NXT where I wondered Eddie Trompe, I think
is his name. I was wondering if he was still
with NXT, and I was actually kind of shocked to
find out that he wasn't. Now for our longtime listeners.
Our longtime listeners may say, no, Lee, I remember vividly
you talked about that guy being released on the show.
(06:20):
Don't remember, I have no knowledge whatsoever. So so a
lot of good stuff that we're going to get into
on tonight's show. So Raw Tonight came to us from Raleigh,
North Carolina. I love me some North Carolina. North Carolina
always holds a special place in my heart. North Carolina
is where yours truly got married. Almost it'll be five
(06:44):
years ago as of next year. Five years ago that
I got married as of next year, because I got
married in twenty twenty one. So and it was fantastic.
I had a beach wedding, got married on the beach.
Said they don't get no better than that. I mean,
I member. I was telling wife, I said, you know,
if I died, And I actually told her this honeymoon weekend,
(07:06):
I said, you know, if I were to die the
next day, I'm all right, it's like it just it's heaven.
It's just heaven. How everything had went down, it's just
having so North Carolina always holds a special place in
my heart. And everything building up towards Crown Jewel perth
at this point, we got about less than three weeks
(07:27):
to go, and of course the big question was this
going to be another case of the Monday Night blues
for Rhea Ripley specifically and e Old Sky or were
they going to be able to extract the big payback
in Everything Boy, that whole segment and just real Smurf
(07:48):
right the Papa Smurf, Real Smurf. We just got visually
hilarious what happened last week? Visually it was just hilarious. Well,
went from a trademark okay, Osca is just missing the
hell out of people, turned into kind of events McMahon
and comical type booking, didn't it when you really take
(08:09):
a step back and you think about it. So I
was very curious how this was gonna play itself out tonight,
and look Osca's social media game. I gotta give her
a prop. Say what you will about Osca when it
comes to her pre produced segments, which I thought tonight
was pretty good, although it felt a little bit too
heavy on the cinematic side for me. There was one
(08:31):
too many cut scenes too from a certain degree, but
I thought it was fairly decent overall. But yeah, it's
kind of interesting how a week changes everything. Soria Ripley
coming out there trying to extract the revenge there from
what Oscar did. So again Oscars social media game, no
(08:52):
question about it. If you follow on social media, you
know what I'm talking about. She is fantastic at troll
in and look out for nothing, but she's had years
and years experience on social media when it comes to
her social game and all that Cary say coming out
there apologizing for what all had happened? Was it Cary
saying or was EO? No, it's actually EO that came
(09:13):
out to apologize what happened there with Cary saying and
Osca and then we get the pre produced package there
by Cary and Osca. Remember what I had said about
two weeks ago where I questioned, why is Cary saying
continuing to just go with the flow here with Oscar?
(09:36):
Why isn't she breaking away from from this woman? What
is holding her here? It was like, surely she can
just leave at any moment, like what the hell? And
wwe try to address that. I thought it was a
nice approach, a nice subther approach that they took to that,
(09:57):
but it could be even better. You guys sound off
and let me know. But Oscar entered promo tonight basically saying, hey, look,
Eil Scott, you wouldn't have became champion if it wasn't
for me. Pretty much, I took you under my wing,
I showed you the ropes, I broke you in. I
pretty much hoped you get to that next level, much
(10:19):
like I did with Cary Say, and that is why
Cary Say has continued to remain loyal to me. Now
you know you can do like Cary and you can
continue to follow in my path and I will gladly
take you back in as a pupil and show you
(10:40):
the way. So I thought that was kind of interesting,
how as you know, pretty much had I had looped
that and everything. So I'm kind of nodding my head
a little bit. I'm giving WWE a little bit of props,
and I'm saying, Okay, you're trying to make this make
sense because to that average viewer, they're going, what's It's
not like there's physically or virtually a gun point is
(11:03):
in this person's head. This person can obviously leave whenever
they want. Why are they sticking a round for this?
Like this does not make any sense whatsoever. Osca even
extends a little bit of an olive branch to Ria
Ripley that the invitation extends to her as well if
she wants it. Rihea tells Osca she can pretty much
(11:24):
go to hell. EO very apologetic. Obviously she's feeling very
conflicted by the way. Can we take a quick sidebar
El Sky and her acting in this whole segment? It
was bad. It was really really bad. How bad was it? Lee?
It was so bad that insert whatever crude joke you
(11:48):
want to put in there, right. I know usually everybody
wants to go with a Stevie Wonder joke. Okay, if
you want to go that route, you could definitely go
that route. But no, it was really it was cringe
worthy bad. I gotta see my ring doorbell just went off.
I'm like, who can it be knocking at my door?
(12:09):
Not somebody was just walking past my door? Who can
it be walking past my door? Anyway? So that whole
eos acting, Look, she is a phenomenal wrestler, not disputing
that whatsoever. When they have set her up and put
her in some really good pre produced segments, it's been
(12:32):
pretty solid. I mean, you really cannot complain, but way
that they had her out there, I felt like I
was watching a really bad segment of a foreign sitcom
from another country, and that's just I mean, it was
that bad. I'm sure that those that are outside of
(12:55):
North America, because our show over the years has gotten
a lot of love. Shout out to my people out
there in Asia, the United Kingdom, definitely India as well.
I'm sure some of them are like, Na Lee is
not as bad as our respected comedies, manly, I respected
soap shows. Na that was in its own lane, Lead
that was in its own lane. Band No that that
(13:18):
was really really cringe worthy. But anyway, el Sky apologizing
the Ria for everything that had went down. Eo tried
to roll out the ring, I guess to try to
maybe go find the Kobookie Warriors, but then it turns
out Oscar and Cary popped up from behind Ria attacked her.
EO eventually comes back down to the ring to help out.
(13:42):
Oscar ends up sprang EO in the face with that trademark.
Miss Riea ends up gaining the attack there on, Oscar
kry gets her off. Ria tries going for the rip tide.
Oscar kicks her in the back of the head. Ria
gets posts sit in the two corners. Oscar luck followed
(14:03):
up with the insane elbow. Ria's pretty much out of
the officials, come out there, break things up. Pretty solid
segment the way everything went down, despite the hokey dokey
acting by EO. Now later on in the night, Ria
went to check in on EO, and EO told her, Hey, look,
I ended up talking with Adam Pierce. I got ourselves
(14:25):
a match at Crowned Joel Perth. We're going to be
in a tag match against the Kabooki Warriors, to which
Ria's like, look, I'm really not fan right now, being
caught up in the mixt of all of this, But yeah,
I got a lot of hatred. I got a lot
of personal feelings in regards to the OSCA and Car,
(14:46):
but mainly Oscar. Sure that I can trust you to
do the right thing here if I team up with
you for this match, because I don't know, and EO
tells her, no, you don't have to worry about anything.
You know we're on the same page. You got none
to worry about, trust me. Yeah, I don't know. I
(15:07):
don't know about that. I know we got predictions coming
up in a couple of weeks, but I think that
is going to turn in another direction. Let me tell you,
I think EO's gonna end up. But see that's the thing.
I personally wouldn't want EO to go heal. I think
EO is much better off as a babyface. I don't
(15:29):
think you need to take all three of the Kabuki
Warriors and have them go the heel route. That's just
me personally. I really don't think it's necessary. But I
don't know. Man, you just can't help but think about
the current WWE booking, and you know you're thinking one
way or the most logical, and and it kind of
goes in a different direction. One of my favorite matches
(15:51):
of the night the Intercontinental Championship being defended by Dirty
Dominick Mystereo as he defended successfully against Rusef and I
love this match. This was definitely a very very solid
matchup ending very clever. I love the fact that Dirty
(16:12):
Dom tried to go the Eddie Guerrero route and bring
the championship into the ring and then literally toss it
in the hands of Rusive and just dropped flat on
his back. But the referee. By the time he turned around,
he managed to see the tail end of Dominick dropping
(16:33):
that tit in Ruseve hands falling to his back. No.
Referee's like, I can't go for that, No, can't do it. No, no,
no no, And then referee decides he wants to get
that championship out of the ring. Russef is continuing, I
don't know why, but Russef has his back towards Dominick
(16:53):
for a little bit and he's kind of focusing more.
Is Russif talking to the referee. Finally Russif Dominick. They
kind of grapple a little bit. Dominick manages to kick
Rusef and the balls and pretty much for takes his
championship that way. I didn't mind that. I laughed my
(17:15):
ass off looking at that spot. That was That was fun. No,
it was a fun match. I I gotta say. And
if you're a fan of Dominick Mysterio seeing him basically, look,
let's let's this isn't the dom Mysterio from five six
years ago, right, So if you were to say to me,
(17:36):
Dominique Mysterio, Russif, I'm going I forget about it, Like
who the hell wants to see that matchup, and now
fast forward and we're here in twenty twenty five. I mean,
it's a it's a whole different Dominique, mysterio and everything.
I mean, he really went toe to toe here with Russif.
I mean, don't get me wrong, russef was kicking Dominick's
(17:57):
ass for a decent point of this title defense, but
Dirty Dom was looking good taking that ass whopping and everything.
Definitely lay and claim. I tell you what, I know,
WWE's got this new partnership going on with Triple May
and everything, and if WWE ever wanted to just go
(18:18):
on ahead and really really take things to that next
level with dominic I mean, look, not for nothing. We
know that Dirty Dom is currently the Triple A Champion
and all that, but like nah man, I mean they're
just scratching the surface with Dom's involvement with Triple A
and all that. I mean, this can really really blow
(18:40):
up and go to new heights and all of that,
and I think WWE is kind of realizing that. But
I also feel at the same time they're still trying
to figure out how to navigate those waters and everything.
But they're continuing to be pretty smart in how they're
going about utilizing Dirty Dob elsewhere. Adam Pierce La Knight
(19:04):
having a discussion backstage. New Day comes in interrupting the conversation.
As usual, they have their demands for peers. They want
their tag team title shot rematching everything. KOFE Knight end
up getting into a verbal confrontation. This pretty much instant
acne few. Pierce ends up making a match between those two.
(19:27):
Let's go ahead and jump right into that match. By
the way, La Knight taking on Kofi Kingston La Knight
picking up the victory plainly too with the blunt force
trauma and everything, you know what. On the one hand,
I think it was pretty cool how and it's interesting
how WWE will do this from time to time with
(19:48):
Kofi Kingston when it pretty much benefits a certain angle
and or a certain superstar. And what I am alluding
to is the fact that I love the fact they
mentioned Kofi Kingston as a former w w E champion
because it really doesn't get enough. Now. Something When you
(20:12):
hear me say that, I know some people be like,
ah miss is always bringing well, we're not talking about
the miz. That's like on a whole other different level,
you know, miss that's more of a bragging an annoyance
a you know, that's kind of one of those Chris Jericho,
I beat the Rock and Stonecoa Steve Austin in the
(20:35):
same night to become the first ever, right, It's kind
of one of those type of deals with Miz, Whereas
with Koffee Man, we're talking about a monumental wrestling historic
moment there and everything that you know now it feels
like it was an eternity, right, feels like it was
(20:57):
another lifetime ago and all of that. So I like
the fact that they highlighted this even though it was
part of an instant Acme feud. I love the fact
that they mentioned this, you know, and it kind of
gives you hope that, you know, well maybe just maybe
Kofi Kingston will somehow find himself back into the mix
(21:20):
of things at least, so you can hope. It's okay
to be optimistic. I mean, you got a new regime
at the Helme and everything and anything and everything can happen.
And then for La Knight to get those bragging rights
and say that he beat a former world heavyweight champion.
If you're an La knife fan, You're going, Yeah, this
(21:41):
guy's trajectory. You're like, this is the path that we
want to continue to see. I'm one and everything so solid,
pretty solid stuff right there. Let's continue on Bailey taking
on where Quel Rodriguez, where Kale Rodriguez picking up the win,
fun little match, I thought, for what it was worth,
(22:04):
Raquel Definitely weekend we got continuing to improve. You know,
I see, it's gonna take me still a while to
get used to this, and I want to make sure
that I choose the right words because I don't want
to come off as insensitive to some people. But I
remember a Roxanne Perez in previous years that had some
(22:28):
serious bulk to her and all that. Now it does
seem like she's trying to get back that build. But
I think she's at a point in her life that
I know some fans they probably may want to see
her be more chiseled, more bulkier. And you know, the
one thing that fans really need to understand is although
(22:51):
we may want to see that appearance wise, there is
a lot that goes into keeping that type of physique. Definitely,
from a carbs standpoint, there's a certain amount of carbs
that that person needs to be eating on a daily
basis certain foods, There is a certain workout regimen that
(23:15):
they rigorously, passionately have to stick to a weekend, week out,
you know, no matter what, and not for nothing. But
Raquel may honestly have said to herself, Look, I really
don't want to be doing all of that. She may
very well be saying to herself, I should need to
(23:36):
do all of that if I just carry myself accordingly.
And you know, to her credit, we haven't seen her
size and wait fluctuate the way rear Ripley's has, right,
So I mean, we kind of got to give Raquel
credit where credit is due. And I got to tell you,
(23:56):
I think by Kevin Nash stepping out there and letting
his voice be heard about Raquel Rodriquez some weeks, Baggie,
I think it really I won't say touch a nerve.
I don't think nerve. I think that's a poor choice
of a wording. But instead, I think what Kevin Nash
(24:18):
said really resonated with Raquel and the psychology of you know, operating, moving,
thinking like a big person and all of that, and
you know, weekend and week out. As of late she's
really really been coming in there. I know. At one
point during the commentary, Wade Barrett said something along the
lines of my vote for most improved wrestler goes to Riquel. Yeah, yeah,
(24:44):
I definitely think she's a very good candidate there. Now,
leading up to this match, Bailey came across Lyra Valkyrie
and Lyra once again. Look, any I don't know what
you got going on. You got some different personality. You're
giving me mixed signals. Really think I want to have
anything to go, you know, anything to have with you here,
(25:06):
So yeah, you can pretty much, you know, count me
out and everything, because we saw what happened last Monday
and everything as Bailey got Lyra to accompany her for
her match against Roxanne Perez, and then afterwards we saw
how Bailey just flipped the hell out and everything we
followed up tonight, right before Bailey went out there for
(25:26):
her match and everything. I pretty much told Bailey straight up,
look girl, I want to get pushed on my ass again.
You go out there by yourself and you handle your
own damn business, and that kind of made Bailey really
really sad, really sad, and she was pushing the Lyra
val Curias shirt and everything, and she took it off
re lucked and it was like it was so sad.
(25:47):
You know, it's almost kind of like, you know, mommy, daddy,
we're going to McDonald's, and it's like, you know, yeah,
in a couple of hours, but then you do something
bad around the house and now you're no longer going
to McDonald Everybody knows how that feeling is. Everybody knows.
Good match though Rare w Rare Television w for singles,
(26:09):
mind you for Raquel and everything. Postmatch, rock Sand getting
a jump on Bailey joining Raquel for the beat down
queue up Lyra to come out reluctantly to help out,
eventually buying Bailey the time that she needed to rebound,
help out clean house afterwards, a very cautious, very intimidated
(26:33):
Lyra looking on wondering which Bailey was going to be
coming out this week, and it was actually a Bailey
saying that's how you do it, girl, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
and wanting to go out and celebrate. Lyra looking on
very very confused, like this continuing development and I want
(26:54):
to give some credit where credit is due. Lyra's getting
a bit better here with the acting. Well, definitely. We
were talking about acting earlier with Leo. It's only fair
that we Okay, let's assess what's happening with Lyra in now.
Lyra's coming along, She's you know, she's still got some
(27:14):
improving to do, but leaves and bounds better what's going
on with her in more recent time than in the
previous week. So good stuff right there. What else? So
from there we go right to oh nice step for
next week's Monday Night Raw, which, by the way, FYI,
(27:37):
Rod's going to be going back to eight pm Eastern
here in North America, So make sure you have that
mental know program your phone, do whatever you got to do,
make sure you're on top of that. Akira Tizoa at
Maxine dupri we're seeing backstage just talking and everything. Becky
(27:58):
Lynch pops up and pretty much just what I was
kind of able to get in a nutshell a Cura
Tizola was telling Maxine Dupree, Hey, some of the stuff
you've been doing as a late really proud of you,
really coming along, And Becky Lynch comes in there and
pretty much tells Maxine like, dude, what the hell you're
You're a loser, Like why are you even hanging out
(28:20):
with a cur a Tazoa like he's a loser as well,
and and Tazoa just pretty much is laughing his butt
off or whatever, and Becky Lynch just cold knocks him out.
Coke just cold clocked him and everything. Maxine jumps in
pretty much lean checks in on Akira I Becky Lynch
(28:41):
knocks her ass out. So that pretty much instant act me.
If you're going into next mondays eraw as, we're going
to see Becky Lynch and Maxine Dupree going at it
one on one, So should be a fun little matchup there.
This sets up seth Rawlins to come on. Now they're
(29:02):
channing c Punk's name and he is just embracing the
hell out of it. No no comebacks from seth Rawlins
this week. By the way, seth Rawlins doing his bre
his best undertaker impression. I mean he was pushing the
black shades, he was pushing the big old black, big
old black coat, blackleted jeans. You know, the only thing
(29:23):
missing was the gong. It's the only thing that was missing.
But yeah, he was doing his best undertaker impression and everything.
He comes out there and pretty much his whole thing
in a nutshell. By the way, shout out to the
ww production team that's set up a really good vignette.
It was basically part one of I guess three maybe
(29:46):
it's a three part act. These little video packages that
run like about three minutes maybe four minutes, highlighting the
rivalry that's been going on between Cody Rhodes and seth Rawlins,
and the first act that day premiere tonight was pretty good.
In everything, seth talks about how trying to go right
(30:06):
into this here, I'm looking at my notes here, I'm
looking at my notes here. Bear with me a second here, Yeah,
I wrote down notes about that video package. I don't
really want to go with that. I'd rather talk more
about the seth Rawlins promo than anything. So seth Rawlins
questioned the fans wondering if they have lost their ever
loving minds and who should be running the WWE from
(30:33):
like a quarterback position, Who should be the leader of
the company for the many years to come? In seth
Rawlins far as he's concerned, YO, like everything that I've done,
everything that I've sacrificed for this company. I've been with
this company through some really dark and challenging times when
it seemed like everybody was dipping out. I pretty much
(30:56):
remained here. I've been loyal, and how do I get
rewarded for it? Except Rowlins pretty much saying, Yo, I
don't get rewarded for it. I keep getting pushed back.
I keep you know, getting blindsided, like I'm not getting
my just doing everything right. So's he's feeling that the
slight of hand of disrespect and everything. Cody Rhodes comes
(31:21):
out and they pretty much are rehashed, you know, pretty
much what they had brought up to each other in
their last promo from last week and everything. One thing
that was kind of interesting and you kind of see
and feel how these seeds were being planted here. But
right before Cody came out, seth Rawlins set himself up
(31:43):
opened where he talked about how he sent Ronson Reed
and bron Breaker to SmackDown and everything. Keep that in mind,
because when Cody Rhodes came out, one of the things
that Cody had brought up to Rawlins was, YO, you know,
are you you really sure that everything that you're saying
(32:04):
in your little stable division? Are you pretty sure that
everything you know is coming from you? You know, the
orders and all of that. Are you really sure all
of this your decisions? And Seth Rollins is like, yeah,
absolutely no doubt about it, to which Cody wonders, well,
(32:25):
if that's the case, did you really give Paul Haymen
the green light to go announce rock Lester a couple
of weeks back? That kind of got the crowd who
went and on, to which Seth goes, no, every decision again,
every decision it runs through me. Crowd disagrees with that.
(32:46):
Rollin's snapping right back, you know, saying, you know, he's
the reason that the crowd is pretty much there and everything.
Cody talks about how they're all there to have fun
and strips it down to what it's all about, pretty
much their match Crown Jewel, and he wonders where he
and Seth Rollins will be long after their careers are over.
(33:07):
What's gonna happen with those two guys in the next
twenty years. He's hoping that maybe they'll be in the
back at Gorilla, you'll produce and matches and all that.
Wonders what that future will hold and everything he thought Cody,
he thought that they were friends. Seth snaps right back
and tells Cody, as far as I'm concerned, you were
(33:30):
never my friend. Russell Mania forty was one night and
Cody was the lesser of two evils. Seth will never
shake hands or call him the better man. Syth will
cleanse the timeline come Crown Jewel, as everything in their
past is dead. He promised is that after Crown Jewel
(33:50):
he will start a new story and create a new vision.
So that's where things stand with that. Right before the
USOS had their main event match with B and B
bron Breaker and Bronson Reed, they come across Seth Rawlins,
who looks very deep in thought and they ask him
(34:14):
if he's all right, and Rollins just goes, I have
to beat him, And Hayman leans in and tells Rollins
you will. You got none to worry about, and Rowlins
cuts him off and says, no, you don't understand. I
have to beat him, And to that Hayman just looks
(34:35):
on love. Paul Hayman knows facial expressions, man, Seriously, he
can really sell that moment and the emotion that you know,
you as a fan, you're supposed to be filling and
questioning and all of that. So that was a nice little,
nice little setup. So obviously this is more than just
a Crown Jewel match for seth Rawlins. This is about
(34:59):
cementing your place, continuing to build upon what you've already
been building for your respected career, your legacy and line
enge and all that. You know. This is more to
him than just a match, obviously. So AJ Styles Dragon
Lee taking on Los americanos AJ Styles gives a shout
(35:21):
out to John Sena mentioned in the fact that he
has that match at Crown Jewel against John Cena thanks
to the fans. It talks about how he gets to
do something that he loves to do, which is beat
up John Sena. I used to love that with him
and the good old boys, Dot Gallows, Carl Anersy. I
used to love when they were doing that back in
(35:41):
the day. Anyway, AJ Styles Dragon Lee taking on Los
americanos AJ Styles, Dragon Lee picking up the wins short match,
very short match. Okay, Styles and dragon a very interesting combination. Yeah,
I mean, we just continue to see Dragon Lee just
being incorporated with legends and all that. But I fear
(36:05):
that we're almost at that point where it comes to
the honeymoon period that the fans still kind of seem
to be a little bit indifferent towards Dragon Lee. They
really really do, and I don't know. At this point,
I just kind of feel like, look, maybe you should
have Dragon Lee be more so just on the Trilea,
(36:28):
maybe even the NXT side, because it doesn't really seem
like it's translating well to the main flagship shows. That's
just my personal opinion. I could definitely be wrong with that,
but that's just me. A Jackie Redman right before our
main event match, she's chatting it up with Stephanie Vekier.
Jackie ags where Stephanie's confidence level is right now considering, hey,
(36:51):
you just became champion. But I'll also forget you're going
to be taking on Tiffany Stratton in a couple of
weeks for a dad Saudi Arabia Women's Championship at Crown Jewel.
I will give my thoughts about the whole Jade Car Gill,
Nia Jacks Tiffany Stratton match from SmackDown and referee Daphne
(37:13):
if you know this, and look, it might have just
been bad timing, we're coincidence, but you noticed that Daphne
was not on tonight's w W RAW No. Normally, like
every single week, this woman is posting pictures, always sharing
how she's getting ready to enter Reugh mode and all
of that. And usually you can see pictures of her
(37:36):
hours before Monday Night Raw, even you know, a couple
of minutes after her match. But there was nothing from
her this week, and I know that's probably gonna feed
some conspiracy theorists. You know. Oh see, she got punished,
and we'll talk about that as soon as we get
done with this. In a hot minute and everything, lot
Premier talks about how she is ready for more of
(37:58):
those Tiffany Tiviany Stratton pops up assists that she respects Stephanie,
but that Stephanie needs to respect her, and they disagree
over whether or not Tiffy time is coming to an
end and everything. So we'll talk a lot more about
that matchup in the coming weeks there. As far as
(38:19):
predictions go, Tornado Tag team match, I want to make
sure that we stress this Tornado tag team match, so
basically no disqualifications because I know some people got a
little bit confused by the amount of physical violence. Roman
Rains was putting on Breaker and Bronson reed, Yeah, Roman
(38:39):
Rains had returned. No, he's been busy filming Street Fighter
and all that, and I see the tribal Chief making
his return and all that. USO's getting over things largely
in Part two, Roman Rains helping now solid action for
the most part. Obviously, the big main story is the
fact that the old Chief is back, and what a
(39:04):
difference that Roman Rains makes when you know he makes
that return and everything, and the timing of this couldn't
be better considering you know, we're still fresh into the
return of football and all of that. Roman coming in
there towards the end, hitting braun Breaker in the gut
several times with a steel chair, ron Breaker vacateing the wing. Afterwards,
(39:30):
Roman and Jay embracing. Roman tells Jay that he's got
his back, gives him a serious pep talk, and I
just love how they kind of sled Jimmy Usso kind
of looking in the background like Jimmy kind of is
looking on like, what the fuck? What am my chop liver.
(39:50):
It's kind of one of those type of deals. Remember
what we were mentioning two weeks ago here on the
show where we saw that segment with Jay Usso and
he was getting off the phone, and Jimmy says, Yo,
who were you talking to? And Jay goes, hey, nothing right,
And I brought the question up. I said, who was
Jay talking to? Is it possible maybe he was talking
to Roman Reigns, Like that's that's an obvious answer, right,
(40:14):
Maybe it's possible he was talking to Paul Hayman. I
threw that name out there as well, so and we
did see a little bit of friction between the Hussos
earlier in the night leading up to the main event match,
as Jimmy asks Jay straight up, yo, I'll come when
it counted the most you left me and La Night
(40:35):
high end dry there, like what the hell was that about?
And Jay pretty much told him straight up, He's like,
you tripping over that, like right before we get ready
to do this tag match, Like he tripping over that?
You want to bring that up? It's like, look, man,
it's like you're my fam It's like La nine, I
don't care for that dude, like that dude means nothing
to me whatsoever. But Yo, let's spend this back on you.
(41:00):
Why you got this thing with Knight, Like what the
hell is that about? It's like, right, you know, if
there was ever a time where jay Uso should have
been like womb to the tune right like that, that
would have been the perfect time to use that line
in everything, and you almost to a degree kind of
(41:20):
get where jay Uso is coming from and everything. But Jimmy,
you know, he's like, Hey, l A Knight, that's that's
my boy. Me and him are cool that dude, don't
you know him mean no harm? You know, basically Jay
not really filling that line of thought, all said and done,
not really feeling that line of thought. So we're continuing
(41:42):
to see Jay usoett getting jiggy with it with the
attitude and all that. I'm actually liking it. I'm actually
liking it and everything. So tonight's w W E RAW.
You know, they played it more on the safer side
and they're building up to this Crown jew Perth event.
I think for me, as far as the match of
(42:03):
the night, I definitely got to give it up to
Russeph and Dominique Mysterio for sure. You know what, I'll
even give it up to the main event master the
tag match Ford it was worth. That was pretty good
as well, especially when you factor in Roman Rains making
his return, Cody and Seth getting a little bit more
personal with one another, building upon what was done last week,
(42:24):
adding into the mix the Great Video Package Part one
to three. It looks like telling their story that was
pretty good, a little solid of average upselle, not average upsold,
maybe below average, below average to average episode. Let's see
what you guys had to say by Twitter at the
RCWR show. By the way, see here, I ask you, guys,
(42:48):
what did you think about this Raleigh, North Carolina edition
of Monday Night Raw. I got a tie at fourteen
percent those of you rated it a D to F range.
The other half of you said it was a B show. Meanwhile,
twenty nine percent of you all said it was a
C rated edition of Monday Night Raw. Top Dog. Right now,
(43:12):
forty three percent of you are giving Monday Night Raw
a passing grade of A. Appreciate you guys that voted
via Twitter. Now I'm letting you guys know YouTube it's
always a case where it's usually gotta wait until the
next day to see how this is looking. Once in
(43:33):
a while, we can we can see a little bit
of a spike. Let's just see, Let's just see what happened.
Let's just see what happened. Let's just see what happened
here early voting Right now, I'm showing one hundred percent
of the votes coming in a show for this week,
A show this week. Don't forget. Monday Night Raw is
going to be on next Monday at eight pm Eastern,
(43:55):
eight pm Eastern. I personally I love the seven PM.
Please wwe give us more seven pm. I know some
of you guys may not be fans of the seven PMS.
I am a fan of the seven PMS. Yo, I
can't believe we finished to talk on Monday Night Raw.
Like way before the fifty minute mark. We are blazing.
(44:17):
I told you guys, I wanted to do like an
hour to hour fifteen. I'm feeling a little bit better
so depending. I mean, I don't really have that much
we can really sink our teeth into. But let's keep rocking,
right and it is what it is, right, But I
want to tackle this gil Cam controversy. This pretty much
all went down really after we were done with the
(44:38):
show from last Mondays, so it was like, god damn it.
It was kind of one of those type of deals
so case you're not on top of your social media
game and all of that, which like, like, honestly, when
it's all set and done, when it's all set and done,
let me let's let's be real. Most of us we
(44:59):
are so busy, you know, we ain't got time to
be wait. This person said what wait? Who said what? What? Wait?
A lot of us ain't got time for all that, right,
So it happens, but gil Kim got into a social
media shit sandwich of a storm that was just what
(45:22):
the hell, man, like, what's going on? So it seems
that everything kind of started with gil Kim reacting to
some footage of a GCW deathmatch. And you know, look,
gil Kim's been at it for a couple of decades.
She's been in a creative executive role in TNA Wrestling
(45:47):
for you know, many many years and everything, and you know,
Gail Kim has seen it all. She's done it all.
Whether you are a woman or you're a man, and
you want to pick them up of somebody that has
seen it all, done it on, you want to get
some really good solid advice, you're able to tap into
(46:09):
the mind of a Gail Kim. You are definitely going
to go in that direction, especially if you've done your
respected homework you know, when you know, I find out
that way she was trained by Dave Finley. Fit Finley
(46:29):
like okay, and you know a great track record that
fit Finley has, Right, You're like, okay, yeah, sure, I'll
go ahead and listen to what Gail Kim's got to say. Sure,
but she criticized what she saw, you know, pretty much
calling you, you know, stupid, silly and all of that.
So this led to GCW owner Brett Lauderdale firing back,
(46:54):
saying that the clip in question was taken out of
context as it was part of upcoming documentary, and he
then proceeded to take shot at her legacy, asking fans
to name one Gail Kim match. Boy. I'll tell you what.
I'm glad that Brett did not put any money on
(47:16):
the line because if I'd have seen this in time,
let me tell you something, his black ass would have
lost to me, because one of the very first joints
I would have said was, well, shit, give me any
Gail Kim match against Awesome con Like. I will definitely.
I mean, if you're going to force me to pick one,
(47:36):
I guess I'll go with Gail Kim taking on Awesome
con TNA resolution two thousand and seven. I guess I'll
go there. I mean, I just happened to be a big,
awesome con fan, but I also happened to be a
pretty damn good Gail Kim fan as well. I'll also
take from the twenty ten range ish twenty thirteen ish
(47:58):
Gail Kim taking on Tarn Terre. I mean, they had
a damn good robbery and all that. I will definitely
take that. So, I mean, of course, the many times,
the many times that Gil Kim took on Mickey James.
I mean that was like peanut butter and jelly right there,
like come on, man, like this was just look, when
(48:18):
it's all said and done, maybe don't mistake about it.
Ratt Lauderdale was definitely in his feelings rather than just
educator and just leave it at Hey, Gail, you you
kind of got this raw. This is you know, from
a documentary. You know, even if Brett it was maybe
if maybe he even was in a position where hey, look,
(48:39):
you know this was the GCW of old where we're
not like that anymore. You know, we to our defense,
you know, we we've grown up since then, and you
know you're only looking at something that you know if
he would have just left it around that type of
but obvious he was very hurt and he felt as
(49:02):
though he had to defend his his brand, right, his company.
And I think we all can understand. I'm not trying
to justify it. I'm not trying to give this guy
a pass or anything like that. I'm trying to really
help people understand. But there is a way in words
that you can get your point across. Right, no reason
to go low. Right, always take the high road. I
(49:24):
always try to say, right, when they go low, you
always take the high road. So anyway, we had all
that that went down, and from there, somehow, once again,
Gil Kim's comments about aw wrestler Rio ended up resurfacing. Now,
(49:44):
she made some comments about Rio a while back, I
mean like a couple of years ago. If I'm not mistaken,
as what she said in regards to Rio and Gail
Kim has sense doubled down in more recent times. Fans know, Yo,
Look now, I'm not tweeting her deleting anything like here's
(50:04):
what I had to say about Rio, Here's where I
stand on that, YadA, YadA, YadA. She said she felt
some talking about guilt. Kim She said she felt uncomfortable watching
matches of Rios where the cameras would go up her skirt,
pointing to Rio's smaller stature and presentation. Fans ended up
(50:26):
accusing guilt Kim of being hypercritical, says she herself wrestled
in gear and situations that invited similar camera angles. Now
this is where I got to push back a little bit.
Here's the big difference. Here's the big difference. And I
can remember one of the first handful of times I
(50:46):
saw Rio in aw I wasn't I will admit, I
wasn't really a fan of the entering attire that she
was wearing. Felt like, I'll be honest with you, Yes,
I felt like I was watching a junior high school
(51:08):
student or something trying to wrestle. And I damn sure
wasn't a fan of the type of outfit that she
was wearing. And for the cameramen to be in the
position that they were in, where they were, you know,
going up her dress, the way that they were going
and all that, I definitely was not a fan of that, right,
(51:29):
I kept that, you know, for the most part, I
kept that to myself. But I didn't say stuff like
that on social media. I didn't talk about it on
social media, honestly, and maybe in retrospect, you know, maybe
I should have been a little bit more vocal, because
I know there was a time where we were covering
AEW religiously. I mean religiously to the point that we
(51:54):
had quite a few heads in AEW that would be
taking notes. I know for a fact, I have it
on good authority. Right down to the point when I
started covering the Rampage and certain episodes of Dynamite, the
Battle with the Belt Specials and all that, there was
a couple of awcats in the company that were checking
out my written up reviews, definitely checking out my shows,
(52:17):
hearing what I had to say, and a lot of
stuff that I would mention far as constructive criticism goes,
constructive feedback, you know, little tweaks, adjustments, you know, the
very next thing. You know, and like our readers over
at the full one Mania website, they will point out
to me lee you said word for like and yo
(52:38):
they flipped it like what the fuck, dude. I'm like,
I like, I hate you got to play it dumb.
I'd be like, hey, you got me, but I knew
I knew what Tommy was and everything, But no, I
get where gil Kim is coming from. There's a big
difference when the cameras and all that, we're going up
gil Kim's butt and all that other stuff. Gil Kim
was wearing adult year she was wearing you know, she
(53:07):
was wearing grown folks shit, okay, and with the type
of stuff that you were seeing real wear. I mean,
come on, do we really have to keep going back
and forth and spending even more time on Reel's outfits? Like, really,
we shouldn't have to, right, So, even if you want
to push back on what gil Kim had to say, right,
(53:30):
it's like she brings up a valid point. That's all
I'm saying. She brings up a valid point. But fans
wanted to accuse her of being hypocritical and all that.
You also had some look at this as an opportunity
to say that gil Kim was showing bias against a
fellow Asian wrestler, and that just intensified the backlash even
(53:53):
more so. There was a lot of weird shit that
was coming in from out of the woodwork, including journalist
day Dave Meltzer weighing in on a situation critiquing Kim's takes.
Gail Kim responded sharply escalated the situation even more, saying,
and I quote and this got looked at as somewhat
of a controversial post, which is Meltzer's idiocy is bringing
(54:17):
out my hood side, which very rarely happens. I get feisty,
but I don't like to curse directly at people and
call them names. If it gets to that point, you
know you deserve it. So then you had fans calling
her out for using the phrase hood side, which she
(54:39):
followed up with this explanation by saying, like I just
said to Gresham, Jonathan Gresham, I think I was quoting
Moose when he saw my non classy theory side. Does
that term work better for everyone? Now? X is quite
(54:59):
says actively controversial these days, we need an official rule
book of dues and don't apparently now, as always, when
it comes to hey, what is considered? You know that's racist?
Oh you really shouldn't be saying that. That's an uncool thing,
(55:19):
let's say. And you know I always like that when
it comes to urban urban terminology and all that. I love,
how all of a sudden and no disrespect Y'all'm a
fam I love everybody, but I love how usually predominantly
white people we have that you know, are all of
(55:40):
a sudden, the urban dictionary police, the the urban culture police,
and it's a case of well, let's let the minorities,
let us say what you know, will allow that or
yet now we're we're not going to allow that whatsoever. Now, Look,
(56:01):
Gail Kim born and raised in Canada, I don't know anything.
I don't know anything about Gil Kim living in the Bronx,
living in Chicago, living in Baltimore, you know, South Philly.
I like, I don't know nothing about that way, Gail Kim. Okay,
(56:21):
but if this is gil Kim's way of basically saying, hey,
look I got that dog in me, I got that
bitch in me because you know, certain people that were
my friends or like, okay, like I can believe that,
like legit. But I had no problem with what she said.
I had no problem with what she said. I didn't
(56:42):
look at it as derogatory. I didn't take it as offensive.
I didn't look at it as racist at all. And
trust me, we have covered a lot of controversial stuff
here on the show over the years, if there's something
that just kind of rattles me the wrong way, you
know me by now, if you've been checking me out,
I will definitely speak upon this. But in this particular case,
(57:07):
I felt that what was going on with her on
social media, it just really came off like a really
really personal attack on her right down to the point.
Rumors swirled around that gil Kim had been reaching out
to aw about a role. She denied this, saying the
only contact was a single text message from sun Jay
(57:30):
Dutt asking if she'd consider wrestling again, if maybe she'd
be interested in doing something with AW Twitch. Gil Kim said, Nah,
I'm retired, Like I'm good, but thanks for the offer,
but nah, I'm good. I know. Kenny Omega jumped out
there saying some stuff, you know, and kind of rightfully so,
(57:51):
because he's got to defend the company and all of that.
I'm paraphrasing, but he said something along the line of,
you know, all another legend splitting there for the other company,
hoping that they'll get that gift basket holiday gift basket
or something along those lines, and gil Kim kind of
(58:13):
took the higher road, but at the same time also
mentioning the fact that not for nothing, but when Kenny
Omega was working in TNA, he kept to himself, wasn't
interacting with the other talents, and you know, she kind
of looked at that as problematic basically. So that is
(58:33):
pretty much where we stand with all of that. Look
shout out to gil Kim for standing her ground not
running away. I mean when you go when you look
at her timeline, I mean, she was just left and right.
She didn't care. She gave no fucks. You know, if
you were going to come at her, you're going to
(58:54):
try to come at her with something witty. You thought
maybe you were gonna, you know, disrespect her, and she
happen to see it within our timeline. You know. This
is what I don't understand though. This is what I
understand though, And maybe it's just that part of her that,
you know, she's rolled with the best of them when
it comes to social media because she has been at
it for quite a long time, you know, which she
(59:17):
did mention, and she talked about the fact that she
has very thick skin when it comes to social media
and all that. But this is what I don't really understand.
Why why even go through all of these interactions with
all these different random people that obviously majority of them
are not your followers and all that. Why not just
(59:37):
put out what you want to put out and you
can either change who all can interact with your posts? Right,
maybe those that follow you can respond or those who
you're following, they're the only ones who can respond to
your posts. You know, why even and go through that, right?
(01:00:02):
I mean, seriously, this is gil Kim we're talking. I mean,
let's not forget who her husband is. Her husband is
Robert Irvine. And for those that don't know Robert Irvine,
you know he is this He just celebrated a birthday too,
He just turned sixty. He is this renowned celebrity chef
and talk show hosts. I mean, if you want to
(01:00:25):
learn how to get fit, you know, stay healthy, good
shape and all that, Robert Irvine, like this dude is
definitely the man. Right. So I mean he is bringing
in he's bringing in load's money. Okay, so gil Kim
my whole thing, like gil Kim does not need to
(01:00:47):
and what it signifies to me. I'm bringing all this
up for a reason. It just goes to show you
that even though gil Kim, you know, she's got the husband,
she's got the money. She pretty much has this in
her own right. She's done her thing rustling wise, but
you know she is able to benefit off the fruits
(01:01:07):
and labor, the hard work that her husband, Robert Irvine,
you know, has done years in and years out. She
doesn't need to be doing all this crap on social
media and all of that. But you know, it kind
of goes to the idology that I've had for years now,
which is, hey, look, when you know in your heart
(01:01:28):
that you mean no malice, you're not doing anything wrong,
and you're speaking to your knowledge, you know your truth,
and you can pretty much back it up then say
your piece and if anything, the worst thing that can
happen is it creates dialogue. But this wasn't dialogue. That
(01:01:49):
was happening over the course of like six going on
seven days. This was a case where she was constantly
being put under attack. It was just really sickening, really
disturbing to see how all of that had played out.
But I mean, I gotta get for props, man, I mean,
(01:02:09):
she really really she did not backed out, whereas other
wrestlers would have been like, okay, time out, I'm going
away from her for a while. The social media shit,
it's no longer fun. She kept at it, mad respect, seriously,
mad respect. We all could learn a thing or two
how that had played out. Next up, seeing this report
(01:02:30):
that's been floating around, I'm not really sure if you
guys are aware of this. I did some investigating and
I'll tell you what a grain of salt. So there
is this report and I'm going to read it to you,
and it goes in with the main headline that ww
has reportedly upset people in Israel following the NXT versus
(01:02:51):
TNA show being named invasion on October seventh. The term
invasion on such a sensitive date raises questions about who
in the organization is responsible for this preposterous decision. Now,
I want you guys to keep in mind that none
(01:03:11):
of the sources I saw are from major Israeli international
or general news outlets or rudders BBC, confirming that Israeli
media or public are broadly upset by this naming. Rather,
the controversy claim seems to come from a niche wrestling
(01:03:34):
news or fan site. Okay, the WWF old school article
sites sky News Arabia as the original source of this claim,
but it cannot be verified independently that Sky News Arabia
has reported such, so this is purely speculative exaggeration. Oh yeah, yeah,
(01:04:00):
and this is definitely the opinion of one individual when
it's all said and done. But I want to read
to you guys this post and you guys can sound
off and tell me what you think about this. So
this is from the Israel heyam dot com site, and
(01:04:21):
then they have titled this WWE's new invasion event on
October seventh anniversary stuns many. I'm trying to see if
there is a name to this, and there is, Jonathan.
It is by Jonathan Jrzenski Dozensky. Okay. The event itself
(01:04:41):
includes Survivor Series style matches alongside a tag team championship
match between the Hardy Boys and Dark State. The term
invasion on such a sensitive date, which directly recalls the
infiltration of Hamas terroris into Southern communities and the mass
killings of Israelis and Americans, raises questions about who in
(01:05:05):
the organization is responsible for this preposterous decision. In two
thousand and one, a highly publicized robbery occurred between the
WWE and the rival organization DCW WCW on the why
somehow I got them initials? What the hell's that might be?
That sleep A kicking in At that time pay per
(01:05:27):
view event took place that carried the name Invasion, in
which the WWE took over the WCW and what was
considered a landmark moment in the wrestling world. Now more
than two decades later, the WWE is reusing this brand
to designate the scheduled conflict between NXT and TNA, two
(01:05:47):
organizations currently operating under its umbrella. But the obtuseness I
think that's the word, and extreme insensitivity to the date
and the selection of the name prompts reform. The event
itself features Survivor Series style matches in addition to a
Taxing Championship match between Party Boys in Dark State. Yet
(01:06:09):
from the viewpoint of Israeli fans, the mere staging of
the event, specifically on this highly charged day and with
the name that assumes a chilling significance, is the main concern.
In recent months, the Israel Hyman editorial staff approached WWE
(01:06:30):
management following previous controversies. For instance, the wrestler Sammy Zang
provoked outrage after His social media remarks included curses against
Israel and Jews, and at another event, he and Siampunk
appeared wearing attire featuring the colors of PLO flags. Only
(01:06:51):
after widespread public outcry were Sammy Zang posts removed, but
the management has chosen repeatedly to disregard the criticism from
the Israeli audience. Some of you guys may be saying, Lee, Okay,
I hear you, dog, Is there anymore to what you know?
That's it? Now? I am looking. I'm trying to look
(01:07:15):
right now in real time. I should have done this before.
I should have done this before. They got weird pop
ups too on this site. I would not recommend to
anybody to go to this website because they got all
these weird pop ups that happened. I am looking up
this Jonathan Justininsky, and I'm trying to see what this
(01:07:36):
guy is about. Okay, So I'm looking at his profile
picture and everything. He looks like he could be a
straight up white boy, but he could be by racial
as well. Let's see what's going on here. So apparently
this guy has a LinkedIn profile. Let's do this. Let's
(01:07:59):
go go on his LinkedIn right now. And let's see
what this guy is about. So his LinkedIn Ah, y'all
gonna do me like that. Y'all are really going to
do me like that? Hang on here, they want me
to sign in. I thought I was already signed in
to LinkedIn. Okay, so let me bear with me, guys,
because this is about to get real good. It's about
(01:08:20):
to get real good. So let's see what's going on. Okay.
So his LinkedIn profile media politics, and spokesmanship. Oh, that
is interesting. That is interesting. LinkedIn is not giving me
permission to access this profile. They're saying the pro the
profiles of members who are outside my network have limited
(01:08:44):
visibility to access more members profile. They want me to
continue to grow my network, So that is that is unfortunate.
I'm just trying to see if there's like anything else
about this guy as far as his education, bio biography,
all that type of stuff. I'm really not able to
(01:09:06):
find hardly anything on this guy. It looks like that's okay,
I've got enough, AMMO as it is. So first, thanks, First,
let's dissect this paper of his. We're not going to
go thirty minutes on this paper, by the way, but
let's dissect this article that he put out there. You're
talking to somebody that is currently majoring in journalism. Okay,
(01:09:31):
and I know a thing or two about this. I've
been doing it for years, but to now be in
a position where I'm actually majoring in it, Like, let
me tell you something. This paper, this article, it comes
off very biased towards the WWE. That's not me reaching,
(01:09:53):
that's not me overreaching. That for me is straight up fact.
One of the things that I find very interesting is
the fact that he mentions, how, oh, you know, we
talked amongst our staff, and it's like, okay, well, the
like that's your staff. You know, you're talking about how
(01:10:15):
this is insensitive, how this you know this name and
the date, and okay, well here's the thing. Here's what
makes really good journalism. You're giving your personal opinion, right,
because anybody that is going to give critical thinking when
they're reading this article, as you all should. You all
(01:10:36):
should be giving critical thinking. This is how you need
to be thinking when you're reading articles like this by
this reporter. Okay, so you're saying this is insensitive, this
is this, this is that, but you're giving a personal opinion.
Can you essentially back this personal opinion up, like, did
you go out and did you talk to wrestling fans
(01:11:00):
about the name of this event that's going to be
coming up? You know, what did they have to say?
You know, if you were to say something along the
lines of Hey, leading up to me writing this article,
you know, I decided I wanted to try to talk
to at least twenty people. Of the twenty people that
I spoke to that happened to be wrestling fans, you know,
(01:11:24):
five said this, The other five said that, The other
five said this, two said this, three said that. Like
that's how you freaking do it. We were talking on
an episode of I Think it was Rustling with the
topics two weeks ago about objectivity and how in this
(01:11:47):
day and age when it comes to news media alternatives.
One of the main reasons why there's been an increase
in news media alternatives is because you're looking at what's
happening with mainstream media, and there's a lot of holes
that you can polk for mainstream media and alternative news
(01:12:13):
media when it originally started. When you go back and
you look at the history of it and everything alternative
news media came to be, I'll give you a perfect example,
we don't need to go long winded with this, but
you go back to say the sixteen hundreds to seventeen hundreds,
and you see how some of the newspapers had portrayed blacks.
(01:12:37):
You actually used to have some advertisements in newspapers from
way back then that would talk about how there's going
to be a getting together because they were going to
be lynching five ten black people. Everybody's welcome, bring your kids,
there's going to be a barbecue and all that. No bullshit,
(01:12:58):
this is legit. Do your history, okay, And black people
were portrayed, you know, low analect behemoths, savages, monsters like
the whole nine yards. And you know, eventually you had
a group of black people that did not like the
(01:13:19):
way that they were being portrayed by these major outlet newspapers,
and they decided, okay, we know what we need to
make an alternative newspaper. And as a result of making
this alternative newspaper, you know, we need to highlight what
our people are doing within the community. We need to
(01:13:40):
you know, we need to counteract what these mainstream newspapers
are putting out there. And then also at the same time,
we need to educate our own people the importance of
literacy because literacy is power. You know, it ultimately leads
to voting rights and you guys know the rest of
the history and all that. So at the core for
(01:14:03):
a journalist and what they're writing, objectivity and objectivity is
very important because the last thing you want as a
journalist is for somebody to come at your ass and go, well,
this is a half baked, sorry ass article, like you know,
what do you say to da da da da da
(01:14:24):
da da, And where objectivity comes into play, Hey, look,
I did my due diligence. I reported the facts. I
covered my ass as far as to who would win,
where why I interviewed this person, I interviewed that person.
I left no stone unturned. When you just leave it
as a lame ass personal opinion, like, there's nothing wrong
(01:14:45):
And I always tell you guys on the show, there's
nothing wrong with stating and opinion. There's nothing wrong with that.
So as long as you go, hey, this is a
personal opinion and you title it in a way where
you go opinion, you do. Doing a invasion themed episode
of NXT is morally wrong. Da da da. The way
(01:15:09):
that this was, you know, we are in this day
and age where it's all about sensationalizing the fuck out
of and it's ultimately because the many people that are
on social media, you know, they're a touch of span,
and that's not a disc it's just fact their touch
span is already very short as it is. They want
to be in and out when they're reading certain news
(01:15:30):
articles and all of that. But at the same time,
you gotta be careful because a lot of these things
that you're clicking on, you go down that rabbit hole
and it turns out what you're reading is a big
fat nothing furder. So please, people, be very very careful.
You're probably going to see this populate, regurgitate, as I
like to call it, even more give it, give it
(01:15:54):
no especially the way that we just broke it down
here on the show. Pay it no attention, just keep
it more along. Frustrates me when I see shit like that. Anyway.
Besides that, in a shareholder class action lawsuit fouled in
Delaware's Chancery court, multiple new subpoenas have been issued. We're
(01:16:14):
talking WW Vinsick Manning Crew John Laeroneida's former WW executive,
though not a defendant in this case, was deposed questions
under oath via zoom on September twenty sixth, Florida. Vince
McMahon's former personal assistants, Paul Maneri and Michael Mangeri, have
(01:16:36):
vin subpoenas for documents. Also said to be deposed are
representatives or persons most knowledgeable from Liberty Media and from
KKR private equity firm which may have had interests in
WWE or been potential bidders and past merger talks. Many
(01:16:57):
others linked to the w D Endeavor merger, current executives,
former board members, etc. Are already or soon will be
deposed as part of the discovery process. So hear all this,
You're going chat me up to speed on this, Lee,
(01:17:18):
What the hell is going on here? Shout out to
good folks over there at Wrestlnomics Apparently. This lawsuit argues
that the merger between ww and UFC Endeavor in twenty
twenty three was predetermined rather than competitively negotiated to maximize
values for all shareholders. It claims Vince McMahon favored a
(01:17:39):
deal with Endeavor because it would let him stay on
with the company, leaning on his personal ties to ARI.
A manual of endeavor. Plaintiffs argue that other potential buyers
would not have tolerated McMahon remaining involved after the controversies
surrounding him. Arnidis is also implicated in a separate misconduct
(01:18:05):
lawsuit by a former employee, Janel Grant. Arndis cooperated basically
flipped in exchange for being dropped as a defendant in
that case. So what you want to watch for and
the limitations and all that. Documents and deposition transcripts are
not automatically public. Many may remain confidential in the discovery stage.
(01:18:29):
Only parts might surface later if submitted in emotions or trials.
The case is well into discovery, so you got documents
gathering depositions. Compared to other related suits like the Grant case,
the Rainboy scandal. Because it's a Delaware chancery court not
a federal court, public access media coverage is more limited.
(01:18:53):
So kind of gives you a little bit of an
idea what's going on there with that to be continued.
Other than that quick heads up, Yeah, we were talking
about we were talking earlier about some stuff that was
going on there with some of the departures from WWE.
(01:19:19):
So far in twenty twenty five. I want to read
to you guys that list real quick. Here, let me
see if I can pull that up and see if
I can so. Right now, we're up to twenty eight.
Twenty eight wrestlers have pretty much been shown the door
so far from WWE. So here's the recap. Duke Cutson,
(01:19:43):
Paul Ellering A King, Raziir, pretty much Alters of Pain,
Cedric Alexander, Sonya Deville, Blair Davenport, Carl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Isla,
Don Giovan, even Electro Lopez, Carmela ron Strowman, Shanna Baser,
(01:20:08):
although we did see her return to NXT Homecoming, and
rumor has it she's likely to be coming in now
as a producer. See how that goes. Dakota Kai, Patana
Chance and Kayden Carter big mistake. I feel Horra Jay
did not see that coming. Gigi Dolan, Eddie Thorpe, Gallas,
(01:20:30):
all three members of Gallas, Joe Coffee, Mark Coffee, Wolfgang,
Riley Osborne, Jakara Jackson or Mensa, Avir Bernal, Danny Palmer,
Carlito Valhalla Aka Sarah Logan, Carrie and Cross, Scarlett, Bordeaux,
Andra da and just recently Jasmine Jinks was released by
(01:20:55):
w W. WE shared her post on our Facebook page. Basically,
w W they did come at her with a new offer.
She thought about it, and she just felt that the
offer was much too low and that when it was
all said and done, taxes and you know, wardrobe travel,
(01:21:16):
she just felt it really did not justify continuing to
work with the company. And she even said, look, if
they were to come at me with another deal, you know,
one that is definitely more lucrative, yeah, I would definitely.
But she think WWE appreciated her time, you know, working
(01:21:38):
with them and everything, and is looking to test out
the waters elsewhere and all that. So it'll be interesting
to see what happens with her going forward, if she's
going to continue to stay involved in the wrestling industry somehow,
or if she's maybe gonna kind of go back to
what she was alluding to in her video talking about
(01:21:59):
the part WWE. She said that, you know, before she
even entertained WWE, there was a whole bunch of other
lucrative offers that she could have are taken in, but
you know, she chose WWE and everything. So that's that's
where we stand with that. Nothing juicy nothing solations that
went down with her exit just the case, and I
(01:22:21):
think it was speculated, Oh she must have been getting
like some really low ball money and she didn't outright
say the amount, but she did kind of confirm. So
basically it was somewhere around like seventy to seventy eight
thousand dollars a year basically. So for her, that just
and you kind of get that, you kind of get
(01:22:41):
that that's really you know, that's not really anything to
be a you know, especially when you're only given like
a two or three year deal. Yeah, nah, you pretty
much you could pretty much miss somebody with that. Also,
we got some MLW Fury Road results. I want to
(01:23:03):
share some of those with you here it went down.
It looks like over the weekend. It's kind of funny
because there's some highlights that's going on online. Of all
the things that's being shared online, we pretty much get
Dario Puerto talking about how while one big company has
(01:23:25):
signed up with Saudi Arabia to go get that big
blood money, you know, we're still here if in the States,
and that kind of got a nice big pop from
the crowd and everything. That's weird. My internet all of
a sudden, it's acting a little slow. I'm trying to
see if it's just okay. So I don't know what
(01:23:47):
the hell that's about. But for some reason on my iPad,
the some reason on my iPad, the internet slow. Just now,
all right, so here's the quick results here. Bear with
me here, So am I understanding this right? This did
not dream until am I looking at this right? This
can'ty right. So the date of this event was on
September thirteenth, but I guess maybe it didn't become available
(01:24:12):
or had people talking until over the weekend or something
like that. I know sometimes MLW would do like NWA,
they would tape stuff and then you wouldn't actually see
the show until like two weeks after the fact or
something like that. But apparently, Ultimal Dragon defeated S twenty
(01:24:34):
twenty five Opera Cup Tournament first round match. Lord y'all
giving me some funny ass names here? Man, Come on, man, no,
I'm skipping that. Hammerstone defeated Matthew Justice Texas Deathmatch. Templeiro
defeated a cool Rol Kwan Sego's match for the vacant
MLW World Middleweight Championship. Then you had a three way
(01:24:58):
dance for the MLW World Eavyweight Championship. Mad's Cruel Krueger
defeated Matt Riddle and Donovan De Jack. See, I like
how we just pretty much clean ou out. That's how
you do it, man, That's how you do it. Also,
the njp W Stardom event that had delivered a pretty
(01:25:20):
huge moment as well, hearing that had went really really good.
Apparently there was a crowning of a double champ and
you guys are going to be able to watch this
for free apparently so at their show over the weekend
(01:25:41):
in Tokyo's Kuruken Hall, Stardom put their top champion in
the title for title main event against the holder of
Sister Promotion New Japan Pro Wrestling secondary women's belt. Saya
Latani came into the belt with the World of Stardom Belt,
one of the top prizes in Joshi, Japanese women's wrestling,
(01:26:03):
and she won it last December and was making her
six title defense against NJPW Strong Women's Champion Azm says
winning her title at New Japan's May Resurgence show in California.
Hazm has only defended it once. It took two of
(01:26:25):
her Star Crusher finishers to keep Asm down by Keematani
won the match and now has a belt on each shoulder.
She becomes the six NJPW Strong Women's champions since Mercedes
Molnai's injury led to Willow Nightingale becoming the first back
(01:26:46):
in twenty twenty three. And that match you can watch
and its entirety on the Stardom YouTube channel if you
guys are interested, so have at it. Check that out.
I know NIX for this week, Santino Morella and Ava,
they're gonna be sitting down. They're gonna be going over
(01:27:06):
their Invasion Survivor series teams for the men and the women,
So we'll get the announcement for that. Also, we're gonna
be seeing Jada Parker go one on one against Slash Legend.
We'll also hear from the new NXT World Heavyweight Champion
in Ricky Starks. Meanwhile, when it comes to a e W,
(01:27:31):
I know for a W Dynamite this week, Kenny Omega
is apparently gonna be an action Bear with me a
second here, trying to get the card here. Give me
a second here, I'm trying to get the card here,
So remember cal Fletcher won the TNT Championship from Dustin
(01:27:56):
Rhodes in a Chicago street fight back in the July
thirty first edition of Collisions. Since winning the title, he's
defended it multiple times and he somehow has come out
with the victory. But this go round, he's gonna be
facing his toughest opponent yet, as Orange Cassidy made his
(01:28:20):
return recently, so that's going to be a fun little matchup. Also,
Chris Statlanders, she has set the team with Darby Allen
and faced the team of Marina Shafir and Wheeler Yudah.
Rumor has it that Andrade could be making his return
to a e W. I know he is doing some
(01:28:41):
stuff with the MLW promotion and everything that's official, Like
they've got the graphics up for the guy and like
the whole nine yards. Shout out to Jason Solomon for that.
That's a really cool grab. Jurassic Express they're making their
return as well. And remember this is a special edition
of aw Dynamite. It's going to be going two hours
(01:29:03):
and a half this coming Wednesday. Okay, so we got
that going on. Also, Timeless Tony Storm show be there
also announced for Dynamite, Young Bucks and Josh Alexander versus
Kenny Omega and Bordido Hangman, Adam Page, Samoa Joe and
(01:29:25):
Powerhouse Hobbs versus the Death Riders. So pretty good addition
of aw Dynamite. And you know, I gotta say, Tony
Kahin's been doing a much better job at these medium
scrums and everything questions that's being asked of him. He's
just keeping his head tugged, you know, He's powering through,
not so focused on always got to be quick to
(01:29:49):
mention what WWE is doing. Just pretty much staying in
his own respected lane and handling his own business right.
And I like that. Like that, that's what we've been
needing to see all along, all said and done, so
beyond that, Hey, what I want to do for you
gamers out there. I don't want to share the footage
(01:30:11):
because I'm not sure how Activision operates, but for you
mobile gamers out there, if you're like me and you
like finding some really cool mobile stuff to play Call
of Duty Mobile. They revealed that their partnership with the
WWE is continuing on here as on October third, you
(01:30:32):
all will be able to play as Alexa Bliss for
the Call of Duty Mobile game, and now they got
a really cool trailer that's running around with Alexa Bliss.
It's pretty badass. I gotta say it's pretty badass. I've
played Call of Duty Mobile off and on. Nice little fun,
(01:30:57):
nice little fun game here, and I'll give it that's
a nice little fun game. But yeah, check that out
again October third. I know right now, in about another
week and a half or less, ww Supercard is gonna
be wrapping up its current fun little game mode, Beat
(01:31:18):
the Oracle, a nice little event. You know, you get
to grab some really cool unique cards, unique theme cards,
and everything seems like there's always around this time, especially
when a new tier has dropped. It seems like there's
always a bit too much to do. It's kind of
hard to focus on, you know, what you really should
(01:31:41):
be focusing on, because I mean, there really is. It
can feel like a lot. Because on top of the
new Eon tier dropping, they also gave you two game
modes where you could get aj Lee's first card, you know,
return since coming back to the company and everything, and
(01:32:02):
then you got the game modes for Beat the Oracle.
You got all that going on. There's just a lot
of overkill, a lot of overkill, and they got the
special quests that's tied to some of those game modes
where you can win some exclusive cards. Then you gotta
stay on top of the daily streak. And if you
stay on top of the daily streak, it could be
(01:32:23):
a lot. It gonna be a lot. But this is
what all the Supercard gamers voted for the majority of them,
they wanted more fun activities to do, and that's what
kat Daddy is pretty much giving them. When it's all
said and done, Hey, before we get ready to dip
out of here, I definitely want to give a shout
(01:32:44):

show on a Debbie downer or anything, but I've been
contemplating the next five years of the shows and whether
or not I would be interested in continuing to keep
(01:36:20):
going because I'm just thinking about the real outlook and
just where everything is going to be going in the
next five years. I would definitely like to continue to
do the shows, but I'm also keeping in mind that
my future employer, they whoever that is, they may not
want me doing these shows. So I'm also kind of
(01:36:43):
being realistic with myself. So but no, I'm not ready

closer and just kind of kind of go from there
