I'm already making conclusion that the Cowboys are not going

be much improved on defense. I would agree with that,
I really do. But here's my concern. I think it
might be a step back on offense.

And the reason why I say that is because that
is typical of what Clemson.

was spectacular, explosive at times.

The defense it is dead last for a period. I

I was going to say, arguably, if not the worst,
I think it was. Yeah, at one point, I know
it was thirty seconds.

Which is wild, that's right, And and it could be
various metrics that were being used. Yeah, But overall, I mean,
I think their defense was dead last in the NFL.

And then when you have one of the best offenses.

Well, guess what that equates to average right in the
middle exactly. Yeah, And that's what it seems to be
consistently with the Cowboys again over the past twenty years.
And that's why I even I look at Dak Prescott,
it's the same type of scenario.

Yeah, maybe above average because the stats that he can
put up, oh yeah, but then when you have a
letdown in the big games and then yeah, yeah, it
equates to average. And that's the frustrating thing with the Cowboys.
And that's why I feel like I can be realistic that, yeah,
I can make a conclusion that the Cowboys are not

gonna win the Super Bowl. Yeah, anything is possible, though,
I mean I would have made the conclusion last year
at the beginning of college football season.

Oh, Indiana's not winning the national championship. Think everybody had
that conclusion.

Yes, I mean stamp that to put it in concrete.
Whatever it is, sharpie, I mean, that is done.

Yeah, well guess what they did? So could the Cowboys
be Indiana this year in the NFL.

Pickens going into this year?

Okay, that's another good question too. And I preface this
by saying, anytime somebody he says, oh, that's a really
good question, I mean they don't have an answer. They're
just buying time. So yes, to a certain degree, I'm
buying time here because I have been thinking about this.

Yea, and my gut tells me he's going to have
a drop off. Yeah, that's kind of That's kind of
where I feel with it.

And just based again on history, and some of it
doesn't have to do necessarily with the player themselves. And
this is not disparaging to George Pickens. It's more about
showcasing how hard it is to each year live up

to that level and sometimes even exceed the previous season's
level and production. And so I'm actually saying something very
positive about the players that do do that.

On a consistent basis.

I mean, it's ridiculous that just showcases how good they are.
And I think there's been enough history with Jor Pickens.
Now maybe this is the moment where his career, Yeah,
takes off and we see something different. He's in the
right place, he's you know, he feels good about being
with the Cowboys, even though you know, with the contract

discussions and negotiations going on right now, nothing has been
resolved from a long term perspective. But I just questioned,
can he put up the same type of numbers because
so many things have to go right.

I feel for the Cowboys.

I mean, Dak has to play the you know, the
the similar way that the offensive line has to be consistent,
you know, all of those type of things. But also
just remember too, there were times where the Cowboys their
offense was able to move the ball up and down
the field because they had to play catch up because
the defense was giving up so many points. I mean

it was you know that almost get into a track meet.
So if their defense is better now, I'm curious how
that might impact the offense just in turn. Yeah, hey,
they're not playing from behind, and you know in the NFL,
when you see teams playing from behind the team that's
got the big lead, inevitably their defense falls a little

bit for a.

Period of time in that particular game, oh for sure.

And you know it also is predicated on the fact that, like,
it's not necessarily all on George Pickens, because you know,
we talk a lot about that sophomore slump obviously, but
I also look at it too from a trade perspective.

That was his first year with Dak Prescott.

Yes, nobody really knew from a defensive I mean, you
know what George Pickens is, you know what a Dak
Prescott is, but you just don't know what that connection
is going to look like. And now that teams have
tape on George Pickens and Dak Prescott and the way
that offense is run, I think naturally you're probably gonna see.
Now there again, there are players and connections like Mahomes.
I don't know that it matters how much you watch
tape on my business. He's just that good. I do

wonder from a perspective of a Dak Prescott and George Pickens,
are they that good? Is it that good of a
connection to overcome the defense? These defensive minded gurus looking
at it and going, oh, okay, so when they're on
this down, this is when he likes to throw to George.
That's how he burned people last year. Like those kind
of things that they're gonna be looking at They're gonna
have tape on.

Yeah, the NFL, right, I mean to the nth degree,
they're going to know and even I mean you hear
some of the stories talking about NFL players in terms
of how they'll watch film and pick up tendencies. Yeah,
it's like, oh, when when he's lining up and if

his right foot is turned inward, yeah, he's turning right.
But if his you know, I don't know, some other
if he puts the towel on his left side, yeah,
he's going left.

I even saw fans doing it on Twitter with Saquon
Barkley last year. Maybe there's a there's a tail with
Saquon with his head. It's it's it's a certain way
that he scans the field, depending on whether it's a
running player or a passing play. You can hell, if
he's looking to pass block or if he's looking to
break it open.

I mean, it's crazy the little things that you can
pick up on.

It makes me think, you know, we talked about training
and you know all the different tools.

Is there anything like that for the NFL because there

to utilize that. But yeah, that's where I am concerned though,
just with can the Cowboys offense? Yeah, be can the
Cowboys offense, I should say, can it live up to
the same type of level that it did last year?
And so if you can, and then your defense has improved,

it's pretty good, then you got a shot.

And my point is that also for the Cowboys, and
this goes to all the NFL teams.

It's all about getting a shot, and it's all about

I would hope that the Cowboys could win the NFC East,
but even get in as a wild card, just get
in there, because anything can happen once you get into
the playoffs. But you know, you can't advance in the

playoffs if you can't get into the playoffs. And that's
been the frustrating thing about the Cowboys over the past
several years too. But even more so is that when
they have gotten to the playoffs, then the big letdown happens.
And especially when I felt that the Cowboys were good,
I mean, well five straight years twelve and five, yeah,
oh yeah, I mean that's that's significant regular season accomplishments.

you can't.

to have the Cowboys there your team at number two,
and I have the Panthers at number three, and then

Yeah, So you know, I again, I think Clemson they've
got the blueprint that in recent years ye've been there,
got all of that, The Cowboys with the NFL parody,

think they've got to rebuild that's in progress right now.
I agree with that, and I think Dave Canalis is
the guy.

It's all about you've got to get into the playoffs.

I'm gonna say the first the best chance and I
think they're gonna be in the NFC East. They're gonna

be I think the Dallas Cowboys, if they're gonna I
think I think their offense is good. I've heard you
talking about their if their defense, if they can stop
some people. Yes, I just think right now the window
is gonna be as good as it can be for
Dallas because Dak Prescott, there's no problem with him. When

he's healthy, he's good, and he can he got you
got George Pickens and C. D Lamb on the edge
of the wide receivers, and I just I think if
Dallas is going to do it in spite of Jerry Jones.

have the best chance, then the Tigers would be number
two getting back, just because as you just said, and

saying the ACC is a bad conference. They're in the best.
They're in the best conference you could be in to
get to the playoffs. As you just said about South Carolina,
and I got a side on Carolina, I would say third,
Uh getting to it. At least, I'm gonna put South

Carolina before the Panthers. I'm just and and this is
why I'm putting South Carolina. If South Carolina is gonna
make any noise, they need to do it this year
because they're big three, They're gonna lose. They're all gonna
be gone. Salad is gonna be gone, them tour is
gonna be gone, and Nick Carver is gonna be gone.

I firmly believe all three of those players are gonna go,
even though they may have eligibility remaining. I mean, I believe,
if I I'm not, if I'm not mistaken, I still think.
I think Lenard Sellers still has one year of eligibility
if he wanted to ease it. I believe. Uh, I
don't think he will, and I think he'd be foolish too,

But you never know. But uh, and I may be wrong,
but I'm pretty sure Sellers and nothing that Carver does
too well, Dylan Stewart does. All three of them I
believe have years of eligibility, a year of eligibility remaining.
But I don't think they're gonna I mean, this is
gonna be the year they come out. But if South
Caroline is gonna make any noise to try to sense

the playoff like they did two years ago, they need
to do it this year. I think I think the
schedule's conducing. They're gonna have to win some games that
maybe nobody's expecting them. They're gonna have to win some
games on the road. They don't have to beat Alabama
and they're gonna have to beat Uh. I don't I
don't think they need to beat Georgia. But if you

if you took the entire schedule, South Carolina's entire schedule,
Richie Tray, and you went all the way down the schedule,
the only game that I would tell you that they
really I don't think they can win.

last year, and I watched them and I was pulling
for him. But I don't know if Bryce Bryce Young
is going to be the quarterback to take the Panthers
to the next level.

know if he's that dude, if there's enough pieces around them.
I mean, now, there have been quarterbacks in the past
that have been good, solid quarterbacks that have enough pieces
around them. Normally, a quarterback that may not be a

quote franchise type quarterback that gets a team far into
the playoffs. Usually those teams have really good defenses, or
they have and they have really good offensive lines, and
maybe they ever run the football and be a little control.
But usually those teams have really good defenses where they

don't have to score a lot of points to win games.
Uh So I would go and and and I'm kind
of like this. The top two can be flip flopped.
In the bottom two can be flip flopped. I think

is any better, Dallas can get there or make make
some noise to get there. So I'll give them the best,
little better chance. And Clemson right now, just because I
don't know what Clemson's gonna be offensively, don't know who
the quarterback is going to be and all that kind
of stuff.

Yeah, well, I think it's gonna be Christopher Zina, their quarterback,
but we know it knows nothing about him.

We're gonna find out. I've never seen him, so heard
his name, but never seen him play. All I've known
really is Watson and Lawrence and Clubnick basically over the
last ten years or so, however much And as far
as cleansing quarterbacks, I mean, I know the previous quarterbacks.

Of course, a couple of the national championships. Those have
been the quarterbacks over the last decade or so.

Yeah, And then to your point with Leonora Sellers, he
does have two more years of eligibility heading into this season.

Yeah, so he's got this year and then another year.

he's got this year coming, but I'm thinking the following year. Yeah,
you know, if for whatever reason something happened and he's
got another year of eligibility after this year. But now
if he has the year like I think he's capable
of having, like I'm hoping and optimistic to South Carolina

can have a good year and win, you know, eight games.
I think if they won eight games and more, I
think that would be a really good season for him
and have a winning season in the SEC. I think
that's a really good year. And Settlers would have to
have a good year for that, and he'd probably be
somewhere in the first round draft pick. Yeah, with those quarterbacks,
and I think that's what his goal with.

You've got to get Bryce cooking a whole lot earlier
coming into the season, and I think that's where you
look at your chances of actually going somewhere there. Obviously
you've got the division, so like, to me, it's funny,
like I look at it from the perspective of.

But also then I look at the division, I'm like, well,
I feel like out of that division, they're probably the
ones I would put in the playoffs of winning that division.

and that's not a shot at Brad Burnell and everything

my freshman year we won the ACC regular season championship,
and that's the only ACC title that we can claim
from a basketball perspective. So I mean, I think you
got to win one of those before you win a
national championship. Now, of course you don't have to. I mean,
you can go just get into the NCAA tournament. But

Clemson hasn't had a whole lot of success as far
as getting to a long run in college basketball. I mean,
Elite eight just a few years ago there and uh
then you oh so close to the Final four and
not make that. So that's that's Yeah, I'm struggling on

that one because I want that one to happen.

Also, I mean I would probably trade.

I shouldn't say trade, but if there was an opportunity
in the next five years, either Clemson football to win
a national championship or basketball.

give me a football national championship. But with two in

a tremendous feat.

quick on South Carolina's schedule, because I know we've gone
over the South Carolina schedule and I had them having
seven wins, could get to eight. Yeah, and I still
think that's very realistic. And I'm probably even getting more
bullish on South Carolina.

But you've got kent State, Towson, Mississippi State. You should
be starting three and Oh to start the season, cause
all three are at home. Then you go to Alabama
and I think that is one that they can win.
Then you've got Kentucky at home. Then you've got Florida
on the road, then Tennessee and then at Oklahoma, and

then you've got Texas A and M at home, then
on the road against Arkansas, at home against Georgia, and
then on the road against Clemson. And I mean they
can beat Florida even on the road. They can beat
Tennessee at home. Texas A and M will be a
tough one. And I know, of course after last year
how everything played out there and that loss to Texas

A and M. But they could beat Oklahoma also, they
can for sure beat Arkansas. But yeah, the gauntlet, I
would say right now is Georgia. And then there's the
rivalry game against Clemson. And historically Clemson has own South Carolina,
but over the past few years it's been somewhat of
a different story. I know last year Kate Clubnick and

the Tigers were able to get the win in Columbia.
But I'm just saying, I don't know the schedule the
way it is. I'm talking myself into all this propaganda
for the game.

Just know that one of my points that I will
consistently make is that, hey, it's just observations, don't make
conclusions too early.

certain degree right right now? As far as I mean
I'm already making conclusion that the Cowboys are not going
to go to the Super Bowl.

Right, Yeah, I mean I've got a pretty similar conclusion
there with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Look, hey, because you have to be realistic about it. Also, yes,
I mean you just do.

I do think though, that the Cowboys are going to
be much improved on defense. I would agree with that,
I really do. But here's my concern. I think it
might be a step back on offense.

Oh, you think so.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
And the reason why I say that is because that
is typical of what Clemson.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
I mean, well, now I'm even throwing Clemson in there.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
There we go of what the Cowboys have done over
the past two twenty plus years. Because last year offense
was spectacular, explosive at times.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
The defense it is dead last for a period. I
don't think you finished dead Lie.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
I was going to say, arguably, if not the worst,
I think it was. Yeah, at one point, I know
it was thirty seconds.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
We looked at it. Yes, it looked at because they
had the first and the thirty second.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Which is wild, that's right, And and it could be
various metrics that were being used. Yeah, But overall, I mean,
I think their defense was dead last in the NFL.

And then when you have one of the best offenses.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
Well, guess what that equates to average right in the
middle exactly. Yeah, And that's what it seems to be
consistently with the Cowboys again over the past twenty years.
And that's why I even I look at Dak Prescott,
it's the same type of scenario.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
It's average.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Yeah, maybe above average because the stats that he can
put up, oh yeah, but then when you have a
letdown in the big games and then yeah, yeah, it
equates to average. And that's the frustrating thing with the Cowboys.
And that's why I feel like I can be realistic that, yeah,
I can make a conclusion that the Cowboys are not

gonna win the Super Bowl. Yeah, anything is possible, though,
I mean I would have made the conclusion last year
at the beginning of college football season.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
Oh, Indiana's not winning the national championship. Think everybody had
that conclusion.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Yes, I mean stamp that to put it in concrete.
Whatever it is, sharpie, I mean, that is done.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
It's over. Indiana's not doing that.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Yeah, well guess what they did? So could the Cowboys
be Indiana this year in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Oh oh, that's a good one.

That's a good comp How do you feel about George
Pickens going into this year?
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Okay, that's another good question too. And I preface this
by saying, anytime somebody he says, oh, that's a really
good question, I mean they don't have an answer. They're
just buying time. So yes, to a certain degree, I'm
buying time here because I have been thinking about this.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Yea, and my gut tells me he's going to have
a drop off. Yeah, that's kind of That's kind of
where I feel with it.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
And just based again on history, and some of it
doesn't have to do necessarily with the player themselves. And
this is not disparaging to George Pickens. It's more about
showcasing how hard it is to each year live up
(04:38):
to that level and sometimes even exceed the previous season's
level and production. And so I'm actually saying something very
positive about the players that do do that.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
On a consistent basis.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
I mean, it's ridiculous that just showcases how good they are.
And I think there's been enough history with Jor Pickens.
Now maybe this is the moment where his career, Yeah,
takes off and we see something different. He's in the
right place, he's you know, he feels good about being
with the Cowboys, even though you know, with the contract
(05:15):
discussions and negotiations going on right now, nothing has been
resolved from a long term perspective. But I just questioned,
can he put up the same type of numbers because
so many things have to go right.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
I feel for the Cowboys.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
I mean, Dak has to play the you know, the
the similar way that the offensive line has to be consistent,
you know, all of those type of things. But also
just remember too, there were times where the Cowboys their
offense was able to move the ball up and down
the field because they had to play catch up because
the defense was giving up so many points. I mean
(05:51):
it was you know that almost get into a track meet.
So if their defense is better now, I'm curious how
that might impact the offense just in turn. Yeah, hey,
they're not playing from behind, and you know in the NFL,
when you see teams playing from behind the team that's
got the big lead, inevitably their defense falls a little
(06:13):
bit for a.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
Period of time in that particular game, oh for sure.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
And you know it also is predicated on the fact that, like,
it's not necessarily all on George Pickens, because you know,
we talk a lot about that sophomore slump obviously, but
I also look at it too from a trade perspective.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
That was his first year with Dak Prescott.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Yes, nobody really knew from a defensive I mean, you
know what George Pickens is, you know what a Dak
Prescott is, but you just don't know what that connection
is going to look like. And now that teams have
tape on George Pickens and Dak Prescott and the way
that offense is run, I think naturally you're probably gonna see.
Now there again, there are players and connections like Mahomes.
I don't know that it matters how much you watch
tape on my business. He's just that good. I do
(06:49):
wonder from a perspective of a Dak Prescott and George Pickens,
are they that good? Is it that good of a
connection to overcome the defense? These defensive minded gurus looking
at it and going, oh, okay, so when they're on
this down, this is when he likes to throw to George.
That's how he burned people last year. Like those kind
of things that they're gonna be looking at They're gonna
have tape on.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
It now, of course, I mean, are you kidding me?
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Yeah, the NFL, right, I mean to the nth degree,
they're going to know and even I mean you hear
some of the stories talking about NFL players in terms
of how they'll watch film and pick up tendencies. Yeah,
it's like, oh, when when he's lining up and if
(07:31):
his right foot is turned inward, yeah, he's turning right.
But if his you know, I don't know, some other
if he puts the towel on his left side, yeah,
he's going left.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
Whatever it is, I mean, it's crazy.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
I even saw fans doing it on Twitter with Saquon
Barkley last year. Maybe there's a there's a tail with
Saquon with his head. It's it's it's a certain way
that he scans the field, depending on whether it's a
running player or a passing play. You can hell, if
he's looking to pass block or if he's looking to
break it open.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
I mean, it's crazy the little things that you can
pick up on.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
It makes me think, you know, we talked about training
and you know all the different tools.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Yes, what's the what's the Jason Temp.

Talks about it, the tool that he uses where he
can go and deep dive and like, oh, synergy, synergy.
Is there anything like that for the NFL because there
has to be Oh yes, Oh could you imagine these
differents that give me all the George Pickens plays, give
me all the George Pickens plays on third down in
this moment in two minute drill scenarios.

Oh that's in a matter of minutes.

They could have all of that, which is crazy, There's
no doubt because I use synergy on the basketball side

version for not only the NFL college football and now

down to high school some of these bigger high schools. Yeah,

these bigger programs. I mean, it's crazy how they're able
to utilize that. But yeah, that's where I am concerned though,
just with can the Cowboys offense? Yeah, be can the
Cowboys offense, I should say, can it live up to
the same type of level that it did last year?
And so if you can, and then your defense has improved,

it's pretty good, then you got a shot.

Yeah.

And my point is that also for the Cowboys, and
this goes to all the NFL teams.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
It's all about getting a shot, and it's all about
getting a shot into the playoffs. And as much as yes,
I would hope that the Cowboys could win the NFC East,
but even get in as a wild card, just get
in there, because anything can happen once you get into
the playoffs. But you know, you can't advance in the

playoffs if you can't get into the playoffs. And that's
been the frustrating thing about the Cowboys over the past
several years too. But even more so is that when
they have gotten to the playoffs, then the big letdown happens.
And especially when I felt that the Cowboys were good,
I mean, well five straight years twelve and five, yeah,
oh yeah, I mean that's that's significant regular season accomplishments.

But what did it amount to? Here we go? Meaningless
stat is all? That is my calgory right there. Yeah,
you can't.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
You've got to peak in the playoffs, not in the
regular season. Hey, the text line is open eight six

And I did want to get back to some of

I think this is when we were talking about training

They're in the best conference you could be in to
get to the playoffs. As you just said about South Carolina,

Carolina before the Panthers. I'm just and and this is
why I'm putting South Carolina. If South Carolina is gonna
make any noise, they need to do it this year
because they're big three, They're gonna lose. They're all gonna
be gone. Salad is gonna be gone, them tour is
gonna be gone, and Nick Carver is gonna be gone.

I firmly believe all three of those players are gonna go,
even though they may have eligibility remaining. I mean, I believe,
if I I'm not, if I'm not mistaken, I still think.
I think Lenard Sellers still has one year of eligibility
if he wanted to ease it. I believe. Uh, I
don't think he will, and I think he'd be foolish too,

But you never know. But uh, and I may be wrong,
but I'm pretty sure Sellers and nothing that Carver does
too well, Dylan Stewart does. All three of them I
believe have years of eligibility, a year of eligibility remaining.

Caroline is gonna make any noise to try to sense

the playoff like they did two years ago, they need
to do it this year. I think I think the
schedule's conducing. They're gonna have to win some games that
maybe nobody's expecting them. They're gonna have to win some
games on the road. They don't have to beat Alabama
and they're gonna have to beat Uh. I don't I
don't think they need to beat Georgia. But if you

if you took the entire schedule, South Carolina's entire schedule,
Richie Tray, and you went all the way down the schedule,
the only game that I would tell you that they
really I don't think they can win.

last year, and I watched them and I was pulling
for him. But I don't know if Bryce Bryce Young
is going to be the quarterback to take the Panthers
to the next level.

As I think he's a good, solid I just don't
know if he's that dude, if there's enough pieces around them.
I mean, now, there have been quarterbacks in the past
that have been good, solid quarterbacks that have enough pieces
around them. Normally, a quarterback that may not be a

quote franchise type quarterback that gets a team far into
the playoffs. Usually those teams have really good defenses, or
they have and they have really good offensive lines, and
maybe they ever run the football and be a little control.
But usually those teams have really good defenses where they

don't have to score a lot of points to win games.
Uh So I would go and and and I'm kind
of like this. The top two can be flip flopped.
In the bottom two can be flip flopped. I think

the Cowboys. I'm I'm as a as a as a
Washington fan. I mean, like I say, I'm not sure
about the commanders and and and what's gonna go on
with them? And I don't think the Giants are quite there.
So it's either Philly or Dallas, uh, basically, But I
just think Dallas, with their offensive firepower, if their defense

is any better, Dallas can get there or make make
some noise to get there. So I'll give them the best,
little better chance. And Clemson right now, just because I
don't know what Clemson's gonna be offensively, don't know who
the quarterback is going to be and all that kind
of stuff.

Yeah, well, I think it's gonna be Christopher Zina, their quarterback,
but we know it knows nothing about him.

We're gonna find out. I've never seen him, so heard
his name, but never seen him play. All I've known
really is Watson and Lawrence and Clubnick basically over the
last ten years or so, however much And as far
as cleansing quarterbacks, I mean, I know the previous quarterbacks.

I'm just talking about when they had their most success.
Of course, a couple of the national championships. Those have
been the quarterbacks over the last decade or so.

Yeah, And then to your point with Leonora Sellers, he
does have two more years of eligibility heading into this season.

Yeah, so he's got this year and then another year.

So yeah, yeah, that's what I will saying. I mean,
he's got this year coming, but I'm thinking the following year. Yeah,
you know, if for whatever reason something happened and he's
got another year of eligibility after this year. But now
if he has the year like I think he's capable
of having, like I'm hoping and optimistic to South Carolina

can have a good year and win, you know, eight games.
I think if they won eight games and more, I
think that would be a really good season for him
and have a winning season in the SEC. I think
that's a really good year. And Settlers would have to
have a good year for that, and he'd probably be
somewhere in the first round draft pick. Yeah, with those quarterbacks,
and I think that's what his goal with.

You've got to get Bryce cooking a whole lot earlier
coming into the season, and I think that's where you
look at your chances of actually going somewhere there. Obviously
you've got the division, so like, to me, it's funny,
like I look at it from the perspective of.

But also then I look at the division, I'm like, well,
I feel like out of that division, they're probably the
ones I would put in the playoffs of winning that division.

I know it's super super early, we haven't gotten there yet,
but what if you throw Clemson basketball into the mix?

and that's not a shot at Brad Burnell and everything

my freshman year we won the ACC regular season championship,
and that's the only ACC title that we can claim
from a basketball perspective. So I mean, I think you
got to win one of those before you win a
national championship. Now, of course you don't have to. I mean,
you can go just get into the NCAA tournament. But

Clemson hasn't had a whole lot of success as far
as getting to a long run in college basketball. I mean,
Elite eight just a few years ago there and uh
then you oh so close to the Final four and
not make that. So that's that's Yeah, I'm struggling on

that one because I want that one to happen.

Also, I mean I would probably trade.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
I shouldn't say trade, but if there was an opportunity
in the next five years, either Clemson football to win
a national championship or basketball.

But now, if Clemson football was still sitting there with
only the national championship from nineteen eighty one, I would say, oh,
give me a football national championship. But with two in

a tremendous feat.

quick on South Carolina's schedule, because I know we've gone
over the South Carolina schedule and I had them having
seven wins, could get to eight. Yeah, and I still
think that's very realistic. And I'm probably even getting more
bullish on South Carolina.

But you've got kent State, Towson, Mississippi State. You should
be starting three and Oh to start the season, cause
all three are at home. Then you go to Alabama
and I think that is one that they can win.
Then you've got Kentucky at home. Then you've got Florida
on the road, then Tennessee and then at Oklahoma, and

then you've got Texas A and M at home, then
on the road against Arkansas, at home against Georgia, and
then on the road against Clemson. And I mean they
can beat Florida even on the road. They can beat
Tennessee at home. Texas A and M will be a
tough one. And I know, of course after last year
how everything played out there and that loss to Texas

A and M. But they could beat Oklahoma also, they
can for sure beat Arkansas. But yeah, the gauntlet, I
would say right now is Georgia. And then there's the
rivalry game against Clemson. And historically Clemson has own South Carolina,
but over the past few years it's been somewhat of
a different story. I know last year Kate Clubnick and

the Tigers were able to get the win in Columbia.
But I'm just saying, I don't know the schedule the
way it is. I'm talking myself into all this propaganda
for the game.

think about it, man, NASCAR has been doing it for years,
them drivers getting them simulated. It's just like being in
a race car on the track.

Fact that you remember when the Rona hit Man they
had that that made us so on TV. That was
the worst racing product I've ever seen on TV. But
I mean it was racing somehow, I guess. Yeah, the
drivers chooses to get better and understand the tracks and all. Yes,
you know that can help quarterbacks.

And I totally forgot about that, Chad. That's a little
PTSD bringing that back. But yes, that was crazy how
they did that. But you have to take advantage of it.
I mean, why wouldn't you. And again, even if it
just helps to a small degree, because Chad is We've
talked about so many times in sports, sometimes it's just
that little bit of degree difference that can help you.
