Speaker 1 (00:04):
And eighty four percent of Americans want the same America.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
But anybody who follows this process closely knows that we
don't have the votes.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
He tried your best, and you failed miserably. The legend
is never tried.
Speaker 4 (00:21):
The proof that you mailed your ballot on or just
before election day. It's not just the postmark.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
You can handwrite the date, wow, and that count.
Speaker 5 (00:31):
This is this horrible thing to say that they will
remove twenty five million people off the.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
Roll shall signal Storm podcast.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
What's been inexplicable to me is how the Republican Party
has reacted to or responded to the Democrats obvious large
lurch left folks, this embrace of communism and socialism. One
of two things going on here. The Republicans writ large,
all of them, but the so called leadership they're either
(01:31):
on one hand naive and they're looking at their good
Democrat friends. And you know, my pal here, my good
Democrat friend here is he's not a communist, he's not
a socialist. This is JFK's party. We just just differ
on how to make America better. This is Bill Clinton's party. Right,
(01:51):
They're either naive or they're complicit. I think I think
John Cornyn is one of these Republicans who sees the
threat that is produced by the Red Green Alliance and
he's fully on board. He's one of these individuals like, Hey,
it's gonna take away Americans, right, It's gonna take away
(02:12):
their their freedoms. I'm all for it. And that's why
he's been voted out as the Senator from the great
state of Texas, folks. But it's it's their response that
has has my ire as of late. And I think
I've been asking the question. I think I've asked it
here on the podcast as well. What's worse the socialist
(02:35):
or the communist or the Republican? The alleged Republican who
refuses to combat in real and substantive ways the socialist
and the communist to prevent them from harming Republican voters,
American voters writ large, what's worse? And I'm I'm struggling
now because of the betrayal of many in the Republican Party.
(02:58):
Let me give you an sample. You all know, and
I've beaten up John Thune and he's deserved it, frankly,
because of what he's done. He has deserved being beaten
up I don't want to give you the impression that
John Thune is not a bad actor in all of this.
He very much is. But the leadership seems to be cowed,
(03:21):
the so called leadership of the Republican Party, cowed by
this notion that they must find the nearest Democrat butt
cheek on which to firmly plant their lips. And I
think there is an intentional move to the spirit Republican
voters to force them not to turn out to the
(03:41):
polls because the Republicans are sending a clear message elect
us and we won't do anything. So I'm going to
play a sound by it. This is John Barrasso having
a conversation with Jason Schafitz on the Carl Rove Never
Trump Network. This is a former Republican congressman interviewing a
sitting Republican senator. So keep that in mind, and this
(04:04):
is how the conversation went.
Speaker 6 (04:06):
Listen that you have to be an American citizen to
register to vote. You have to be showing a photo
ID in order to vote. The reason it's passed hasn't
passed so far as every Democrat votes against it, every
Republican has voted for it.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
No that's simply not true. There are fifty three Republican
votes for the Save America potentially votes for the Save
America Act, and the most they've gotten to is fifty
that's the most. Tom Tillis does not support the Save
(04:41):
America Act. Lisa Murkowski does not support the Save America Act.
Susan Collins does not support the Save America Act. They
do not support reigning in the Democrats' ability to cheat.
What John Barrasso said their votes is demonstrably false. Now
they could pass this bill if the Senate had gone
(05:01):
to work right after the Big Beautiful Bill last year,
and instead the Senate decided to run out the clock
on America, run out the clock on the America First
Agenda by cramming the calendar full of Democrat priorities like
Elizabeth Warren's housing bill. That's what John Thoon, Dear Leader
(05:22):
John Thune, thought was more important than voting integrity, folks,
much much to the chagrin of the American people and
much to counter to what we actually believe in The
American people are saying election integrity is the most important thing.
Eighty four percent of our people say it. But the
Republicans say Hey, when eighty four percent of the country
wants something, we give eighty four percent of the country
(05:43):
the middle finger. And that's what they've done because unlike
the Democrats, who saw Obamacare that no majority wanted, but
the Democrats crammed it down our throats anyway, and they
did every everything they possibly could, every legislative maneuver they
could cram that loser law down our throats and in
(06:03):
so doing ruined one sixth of the US economy. And
therein lies the differences between the two political parties, the
alleged two political parties, and those differences are when Democrats
are in the majority, they will impose their will regardless
of what the American people want. When the Republicans are
in the majority, they will look at the overwhelming majority
(06:26):
of the American people want and refuse to give them
what they want. In other words, both parties, they're different
in that way, but it all leads one place to
the advancement of socialist and communist policies. And never, and rarely,
i should say, do we get constitutional conservative preservation efforts
(06:49):
by the alleged Conservative party to stop this large lurch left.
It seems everybody's on board with advancing left wing extremism,
including leadership in the Republican Party.
Speaker 6 (07:02):
And why haven't they done. Every Republican in the Senate
has voted for the two components that I mentioned. And
the reason the Democrats don't want it is they've let
ten million illegal immigrants into this country. The Democrats want
to make it easier for them to vote, and these
radicals that are being now been nominated, they want to
(07:23):
make them citizens and vote. That's why we need to
elect more Republicans. We need more Republicans elected this year
in November. Every Republican needs to get out and vote.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
Well, okay, folks. So this is where I stop the
Republican hypocrisy. This is where I call bullshit on what
John Barrasso is saying. Now. I'm wondering why Jason Chaffitz
didn't hit him with this. He probably should have. I
like Jason Chaffits, I like him a lot. I haven't
(07:55):
seen him or talked with them in many, many moons,
but I do like the former congress and to me,
John Barrasso is emblematic of the GOP that cried wolf.
If voters give us the House, well we'll oppose Democrats
in substantive ways. Well, if they give us the House
(08:16):
and the Senate, well, well, if they give us the House,
the Senate and the White House changes coming. Look, look,
if they give us more Republicans, then we'll finally deliver.
This is what we've been treated to by the likes
of John Barasso and John Thone and John Cornyn and
John Curtison, Lisa Murkowski and Tom Cotton. If if the
(08:38):
American voter has just come through and give us, you know,
one more election, then then we're going to fight. And
they never do, and they they I shouldn't say never,
they rarely do. Obamacare is the law of the land.
Massive uncontrolled illegal immigration has been the rule of the day,
counter to the law of the land. Yet nothing has
(09:01):
been done to stop it. Nothing has been done to
stop the massive harm being done to the American people
by uncontrolled the illegal immigration during the Biden years. Now, yes,
they've staunched the bleeding in the Trump administration, but what
about the fifteen million illegal aliens who are here in
(09:24):
the United States? They should all be gone, And the
twenty five to thirty who were already here should all
be gone. They should all go bye bye. But nobody
in Congress. No majority in Congress, whether it be the
Republican majority, the Democrat majority, seems interested in delivering on that,
(09:44):
stopping illegal immigration, making it impossible for illegal aliens to
live in the United States. So the Democrats are like, great,
we'll just give them the vote because the Republicans won't
do a damn thing to get rid of them. Only
the America First coalition has moved the needles, soun. I mean,
what the last I saw, folks, was close to two
million illegal aliens had either self deported or had been
(10:08):
forcibly deported, and that leaves roughly forty three million left,
you know, if you're doing the math. So what is
the Republican Congress doing to mitigate the harm being done
to the country by Democrats? And the answer is nothing.
(10:28):
In fact, it seems the Republican Senate in particular, is
motivated to make sure that not only the Democrats remain
a viable party, which they're declared anti Americans at this point,
but the Republicans seem to be keeping the Democrats in
the voting game with the expressed purpose to basically keep
(10:51):
up this illusion of a two party system. And the
moving goalpost is what I find just offensive and insulting. Oh,
give us the House, the Senate, in the White House
and we'll do something. Well, now we need more Republicans.
I'm sorry, mister Barasso. We don't need more Republicans. We
(11:11):
need good Republicans who remember that they're supposed to oppose
a Democrat every once in a while in real and
substantive ways. In that opposition protect the American people from
the communists and the socialists the Democrats have devolved into.
That's your job, at least in a two party system
(11:33):
where you have adversaries on both sides of the alleged
political divide. That's what you're supposed to do. But we
don't see that. All we see is continued surrendered to
the left, the facilitating of left wing policies and harm
to this country. And when Republicans are elected to stop it,
they simply, as they have done with the Save America Act,
(11:56):
they simply refuse to act in our defense. And that's
how I'm going to be voting. What have you done
to protect me in mind from socialists and Marxist Democrats.
More on the other side of the break on the
Salsado Storm podcast, and now a word from our sponsor.
My friends, did Bidenomics in the left wing economy really
rock your world? Let American Medical Plans relieve one burden
(12:17):
health insurance. American Medical Plan specializes in under sixty five
health insurance plans that have zero copays and no deductibles.
You choose your doctors, you choose your hospitals. These plans
have nothing to do with your income and are thirty
to sixty percent less than Obamacare. If Obamacare has you
paying out the nose call American Medical Plans. Don't let
(12:37):
these Marxists destroy one sixth to the US economy and
your access to healthcare without a fight. You deserve better.
You deserve American Medical Plans the answer to the cancer
that is Obamacare.

My next guest not only spot on, but even when
she's traveling, she will make the accommodations to be on

for The Daily Caller. She covers Capitol Hill and political campaigns.
Graduate of the University of South Carolina, and there she
is from the hotel room. And thank you so much
for for even when you're traveling, being able to come
(16:10):
on the show. We appreciate you Beinghnny Johnny, or when
when eat on the spot, appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
Yeah, thank you.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
I'm in the free state of Florida, so we're a
little bit freer than Washington, d C.
Speaker 6 (16:21):
Today.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
The amen's sister. So, you know, speaking of Washington, a
leftist judge, and you remember her, Allison Burrows I believe
was her last name. She was the one that, you know,
after all of the legislative, legislative, but all the judicial
hurdles have been cleared for the temporary protected status of
certain groups like the Somalians and others, she in a
(16:45):
in a last ditch effort, put a stay on their
deportation based on nothing that resembled the rule of law.
She finally had to acquiesce after a significant amount of
pressure from higher up the chain. And now finally we
get to start getting rid of these people who have
enjoyed temporary protected status. I think it's notable that the
(17:10):
left wing, whether being the judiciary or the legislature, will
do everything they can for the infiltration of foreign nationals
into this country, even if the American people decide we
want to go in a different direction.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
Yeah, that's exactly right. And I mean it wasn't just
long ago that we had in temporary protection status under
the Haitian immigration issue come about, and of course they
couldn't have immediate deportations because you know, the Supreme Court
ruling basically said they had a sixty day threshold to
you know, exit the country themselves or you know, Ice
would be coming to their door to take them mountain
themselves at that point. So here we are with the
(17:42):
small ends after all the fraud scandal, especially in the
places like Minnesota and Maine, other states that we're having
to wait and see, you know, if these people leave
the country and then have Ice come in. And also
you want to talk about an issue of federal agents
having to come in and you know, being risky situations
to do these deportations. That's kind of the stick here
(18:03):
of why you should support federal law enforcement of why
a lot of these left wing groups do not do it.
They find them they and the enemy they say too,
you know, they want to abolish ice and feels like
they defund the police movement every single time this type
of stuff has happened. But also a lot of these
communities do not cooperate with federal law enforcement and therefore
put local law enforcement and federal law enforcements lives at
(18:25):
risk in a lot of ways.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
So, yeah, you mentioned fraud, and over the weekend it
came out that another blue state is raising the flags
of Minnesota even though you know, Minnesota's what was it
at the end of the day. I think it was
nine billion dollars in fraud that was discovered, and that
was just the tip of the iceberg. But I mean
California says, you know, they do that in a day, right,
(18:48):
But Pennsylvania spending eight billion dollars on their Medicaid home
care services program. A lot of this fraud we saw
in California as well, the People's Republic of California, and
they are being targeted by the federal government again and
the stuff they are finding is just curling your toes.
And what I've said is, we cannot allow the cost
(19:12):
of government to be the funding of fraud. As so
many fake Republicans and Democrats have said, well, you just
got to fund the fraud if you want good government.
It's absolutely insane. And the blue states are the culprits.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
Right, Well, I would say Pennsylvania, yeah, it does tend
to be a blue state. But I mean you have
two senators a Democrat and Republican currently even at this point,
so I think it's all across the board. Obviously, Minnesota
it was very very blue tip of the spear. I mean,
you now have people like Peggy Flanagan coming in the
number two that somehow got re elected under Tim Waltz
at this point, so it doesn't seem like people really care,
(19:47):
which is sad in a lot of ways. But I
would say, you know, people like you know, I would
say McCormick and Pennsylvania Fetterman, who somehow kind of become this,
you know, bipartisan in a way, right wing darling in
a lot of ways. Where are they with this? You know?
I think people should ask the questions across the board.
There's got to be accountability. I think the DJ just
recently did a presser in Columbia, South Carolina talking about
(20:08):
you know, so you know, southern states having fraud. It
should be a coalition by every state in the federal
government at this point to figure it out and root
it out. I mean, this is taxpayer funded dollars at
this point, and people really should care about fraud. I
think it's probably one of the lingering issues going into
midterms that just tends to kind of be swept under
the rug in a lot of ways polls well. But
I do think it's one of those things that that
(20:30):
is the one thing the federal government as of recent
has been able to go in and kind of root
out in a lot of ways, and as far as California,
California is very specific and sneaking in a lot of ways.
They're able to hide the fraud because they'll blame the
next person. That's how it works in California. They somehow
sweep it under the whether it's homeless fraud, medicaid fraud.
And you've seen some journalists and independent journalists be able
(20:50):
to go in there and show an amount of money,
but it's really hard to find the culprit and where
to find the accountability of who's responsible for that in
states like California and even in Minnesota, would say, obviously
the Somali community was kind of target number one and
that but he as the ward.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
You know what's the big kick in the groin and
all that is is that right now we're overspending roughly
one to two trillion dollars, overspending what the federal government
brings in tax receipts, and it's to fund the fraud.
So we're going into massive unrepayable debt. And the interest,
the interest alone, it goes to no programs, just interest
(21:25):
on the national debt is one trillion dollars a year, right,
so if you just stop funding all the fraud, you
would actually reduce the debt burden. Then then you would
have a little bit more money. If you just stop
funding fraud, you would have more money, and then you
wouldn't have to finance more money, which would be causing
(21:47):
the taxes to go.
Speaker 6 (21:49):
You know.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
It's the vicious cycle they're creating with this fraud and
going into debt to pay for fraud. I think should
be a slap in the face to every American. Ashley
Brassfield everybody a reporter for The Daily Caller. Another name
for a reporter is journalists. She's an actual, real journalist.
I want to play something for you. This is mister Moran,
or we call him mister Moron, formerly of ABC Fake News,
(22:13):
and he revealed something over the weekend that I think
we all knew intuitively, but it's quite another to hear
ABC fake News being outed by one of their own.
Speaker 7 (22:23):
In my work at ABC News early in twenty twenty one,
maybe January February, I'm seeing online and elsewhere people that
I thought were smart and serious, Jamie Manzel mostly saying,
and others maybe this leaked from the LAP and the
day that that is supposed to air, it gets reviewed
(22:45):
and it comes back to me and I was told, Fauci, wait,
so they took.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
The story that you did and either sent a copy
of a transcript or a copy of video to Anthony Fauci.
Speaker 7 (22:59):
I don't know that that's true personally, but I was told.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
That, yeah, okay, so he's admitting that ABC fake news.
At the behest of Fauci spiked factual information, spiked the story,
and it's we all knew it, but to hear it
actually said.
Speaker 1 (23:17):
Yeah, And this is exactly what the text messages from
Fauci have revealed as well. Obviously having a third person say,
you know, they're almost for sure about this and probably
led to him being like or fired by ABC at
this point. But they're the coordination that's always been talked
about with the media and the government. There is a
working relationship there, Like that is just the truth in
a lot of ways, So I won't you know, I
(23:39):
wouldn't go against that in a lot of ways either,
because ABC, you know, you're having sources within the government.
You don't want to ruin those sources. Obviously, Fauci was
on the TV with President Trump every single day during
those press briefings. We remember it very well, So jeopardizing
the coverage at the time I think was probably front
of mine for a news outlete like that. But also
when you have a story like that and it's being
(24:01):
denied and there's you know, as time goes on, there's
factual evidence and there's nothing done about it, right and
said it's a cover up in a lot of ways,
and you saw, you know, President Biden pardon Fauci. I
feel like we're never going to truly know the truth
on the theory itself because it remains a theory because
there's no there's evidence obviously leading towards that, but there's
(24:22):
never going to be somebody that says, this is what
happened exactly with that scenario. And I think that's the
most frustrating part for the American people. That's the most
frustrating part about looking at Fauci and what's been revealed
with him now for so many but also for journalists
that we're trying to do their jobs correctly at the
time and report the news and you know, and put
the theory out there for Americans at least to think
about and come to their own conclusion about. That's the
(24:44):
alarming aspect to that. Especially.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
We call them fake news for a reason. I mean,
when you are hiding information that is coming out and
don't even ask the question, you can't be considered a journalist.
You're a propagandist at that point, and ABC fake News
devalue themsel elves to a propagandist. There's another aspect of
journalism which which you and the folks of the Daily
Collar don't partake in, but a lot of these left
(25:08):
wing nutbags who are in media do. I'll give you
an example, Christian Welker over at NBC Fake News. Here
she is talking to Todd blanche and she's saying, well,
you've pledged to support law enforcement, right, you've pledged that.
But President Trump pardoned a bunch of these people who
who allegedly committed crimes and I believe in actually the
(25:29):
documentation supports what I say. They were overcharged to punish
them for their political affiliation by the DOJ. Many judges
have waved their wag their fingers at the DOJ. But
here she is trying to drive a wedge, saying, oh,
that you Republicans are somehow hypocritical, and she she never
had this kind of questioning for when Beijing Biden did
(25:51):
these pardons. Listen to this back and forth, by.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
The way, is inconsistent with what you said, though.
Speaker 5 (25:58):
You know, there's a difference between saying we will prosecute
anybody if later a president chooses to pardon that individual,
that is the president's right under our constitution. Do not
forget that. A few days before President Trump pardoned the
individuals associated and who have pled guilty to the conduct.
On January sixth, President Biden pardoned hundreds and hundreds of criminals,
(26:19):
many of whom were quite violent. So that's his right
to do that, just like it's Presid's Trump's right to
do that.
Speaker 1 (26:24):
But what message does it send to police officers that
people who assaulted them were pardoned?
Speaker 2 (26:30):
Yeah? See, and that's the problem Ashley. She's like, Oh,
it's Trump that sends the message, But when Joe Biden
does it, she's not worried about the message it sends
to police officers when Joe Biden does it. Because everybody
expects a Democrat to be pro criminal. That's the assumption
that she is working from as a so called journalist.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
Yeah, so she lowered the journalistic bar due to the
fact that she did not ask the question of President
Joe Biden at the time. In a lot of ways,
that was part of the left woo media, and that's
why it'scharacterize as left wing questioning because you weren't able
to do it to the other side and circumstances. And
that's not to say it's a relevant question. I think
people would like to see that answered, but it gets
overshadowed in so many ways because you weren't able to
(27:12):
ask the question at the time. I mean, I remember
the pardons coming out with President Joe Biden. I mean
it was hundreds and there was violent criminals folded within
their multiple times January sixth. I think there was a
lot of, you know, questions around that circumstance due to
the fact that COVID was, you know, happening at the time.
It was obviously a presidential election happening. So that's the
(27:34):
aspect here. There's so many questions that could have been
answered by the Biden administration that just never were. And
you know, it goes back to the autopen aspect of
how in control of they were of these things, and
it's hypocrisy, and so nobody's going to find that real
journalism because basically you overshadowed with the fact that you've
never asked the other side of it.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
It's why it's why Democrats don't get asked about their
stance on abortion because the bias process. Well, everybody knows
that Democrats love to slaughter children in the womb. We
don't need to ask about it, right, but we will.
But we'll ask Republicans about it, you know, about their
draconian clampdown on abortions. That's what that's what they'll say
to controversialize somehow Republicans, but not Democrats, and that's why
(28:16):
they lose credibility. Blanche went on in this same interview
and said this.
Speaker 5 (28:20):
The message to police officers is consistent and same every
single day, which is that we will protect you. And
by the way, that's a little bit that's a little
bit interesting coming from a place where we see violent
protests breaking out all over the country in New Jersey,
in Minneapolis, in Seattle, in California, and instead of there
being a full throated defense by leadership on the Democrats side,
(28:42):
on the Republican side, what you have is it's as
if we're doing something wrong by saying we will protect
law enforcement and we will prosecute those who will assault
law enforcement, we're.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
Not Yeah, you know what. Frankly, the idea that if
you shoot at an ice office or you try to
run them over with your car, that's not showing a
lack of support for law enforcement. According to Christian Welker
at NBC Fake News, you know, when you're trying to
kill an ice officer, Oh, that's not showing your lack
of support. But when President Trump pardons certain criminals, that's
showing the disrespect. I mean that the fact that NBC
(29:13):
Fake News doesn't address real attacks on law enforcement and
manufactures attacks on law enforcement to be at a disadvantage
for one political party, Republican Party. It's so nakedly transparent,
is it not?
Speaker 1 (29:29):
It is, And of course there's accountability that has to
happen on both sides, whether it's an investigation happening. That's
what they're for, and they never seem to lunt to
let them play out in a lot of ways. It's just,
you know, it's an attack situation. And granted there's policies
from higher ups that tend to affect why scenarios tended
to play out in a lot of ways. I think
that's another aspect of things that's never represented represented situations,
(29:49):
especially the ice shootings. It's policies from you know the
above a lot of time that you know allows a
plut situation to be put, you know, people being jeopardized,
I would say, in a lot of ways. But at
this point with the ice officers, I mean, once again,
you go back to defund the police in twenty twenty,
twenty twenty one, you know what the left wing politicians
are going to say, and do you know what the
left wing media NBC, CNN, I mean, go back and
(30:12):
look at clips from twenty twenty one. You can find
them on X very easily stack with and you see
what they were able to do in going against police officers.
And why would anyone assume that you're going to be
in favor of them.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
Now, remember that the flames burning in the background, and
these are mostly peaceful protests at NBC fail fail I think.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
Our face at the time, and so nobody's going to
have the common sense assumption that you're going to be
for police officers in any way, and so it puts
the right and position where basically they have to be.
There is the common ground that you can say, you know, look,
if somebody did something wrong, you need accountability. There's the
common sense always. But it's a political motive all the time.
And so nobody's making that assumption with the left wing media,
(30:54):
and nobody will make that assumption with any Democrat politician
that they are going to say, you know, oh, the
police officer, you know, was defending himself here. I don't
think I've heard that in the last six years since
the defund the police movement from a Democrat. And I
think the day I will I'm I think Hell's Far
is an over exactly.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
By the way, folks, you won't find this kind of
shoddy journalism over at the Daily Caller. They just don't
hire people who do this type of shoddy journalism at
ABC Fake News or NBC Big News over the Daily Caller.
Last thing, and I'm glad that you were in the rotation,
the Daily Caller rotation here on the Chrislsado Show for
this particular topic, because, as you know, last week, the
(31:31):
Women's National Basketball Association meant to determine what a woman is.
The Women's National Basketball Association doesn't know what a woman is.
You are not only a woman, but you are an athlete,
a former a collegiate athlete. I just find it. And
we were teasing them, I might as well play this
for you. We were teasing them on the podcast and
(31:54):
on the radio show. This was one of the experts
they brought in over the WNBA to instruct them on
what a woman is.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
Have a listen, boys, have a penish girls half of
that China.
Speaker 6 (32:09):
Thanks for the tip.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
That's from a kindergarten cop of course. In Arnold Schwarzenegger movie,
which is fantastic folks if you haven't seen it, but
what a testament to how woke has paralyzed and discredited
so many people, including the WNBA, that they came together
for meetings to determine what a woman was and they
didn't even come to a conclusion, which is insane.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
Well, they can't come to conclusion because they'll have protests
from their own players, as we all know, and that's
the issue here as well. With Sophie Cunningham. You have
the Kaitlin Clarks that have become the moneymakers of the league.
And I wouldn't you Kaylyn Clark obviously a great player,
the stats showed that Sophe Cunningham. There's an argument there
with her stats, but she does have a huge following
and she is a money maker for the league, There's
(32:55):
no doubt about it. I mean how much news coverage
she's gained, becoming a maga darling if you want to
call or that, but just basically for saying that, you know,
men shouldn't be in women's sports and that's what's causing
media attention. If anything, the w NBA should be praising
these two people because that's who's making their money. But
of course they'll keep them off of a poster and frankly,
this is probably the most coverage and viewership the WNBA
(33:16):
has received ever and because they're being supplemented from the
NBA at this point. But you know, when women are
asking for a pay raise and numbers don't show that
or reflect that, it looks a little different from women's soccer.
Who are the ones women winning the national championships and
the World Cups for the soccer team. The WNBA doesn't
provide that. So you're looking at a business structure here.
I like to look at it that way a lot
(33:37):
of the time, and what they're asking for just doesn't
you know, make sense in a lot of ways. Caitlin
Clark has put it on the scene, I would say,
Sophie Cunningham obviously keeping it relevant now, and the obvious
fact that they're white. You know, in a lot of ways,
most of the league is, you know, black women. I
went to school with a lot of the you know
South Carolina basketball players, and there's some great players, well known,
(34:00):
but those two are obviously the most well known that
people can name off the bat in that league. So
that the factor here that they can't decide what a
woman is their own players. And I usually am not
for the celebrities talking about their politics at this point.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
I'm just over it me too.
Speaker 1 (34:16):
But when it comes to not having men and women's sports,
that's their career, that's their opportunity, that's how they're making
their money. You should be able to have a stance.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
It's not even political. It shouldn't be political. I mean,
this is a women's league. Well do we allow men
in a women's league? Dude, No, you don't. It's it
shouldn't be. It's just common sense.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
And I'm a one volleyball player. I know I've lived
through the time and it's amazing that we're in twenty
twenty six still talking about this. Oh hell yeah, they're
making it a problem.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
So what was the name of that that young lady?
And I remember which team? I know, I saw the
San Diego State spiking from a male, But there was
another lady that that she was knocked out, literally knocked out.
Speaker 6 (34:56):
What was that?
Speaker 1 (34:57):
Peyton McNab, Yes, Peyton McNabb.
Speaker 2 (34:59):
She she still has neurological problems because she was forced
to play volleyball with a man who spiked the ball,
hit her in the head and knocked her out of
her off her team. She wasn't able to compete anymore,
and she has lifelong neurological problems because of this. The
idea that this doesn't hurt anybody is insane, and that's
(35:22):
we've got to come back to some sort of modicum
of common sense in this country.
Speaker 1 (35:26):
Rat and I will say that's a cultural issue. Obviously,
this played very well in twenty twenty four. It still
plays well. Obviously it's insane at this point, but I
think to the focus too much from the right on
it can be a little hindering on some other issues.
But it is a huge issue of trust me, I'm
a d one ball player. I lived through it as well.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
I have never I have not talked about the WNBA
this much in my entire career than I have in
the last three or four weeks. And it is because
of the absurdity. Maybe as you and I were talking,
I'm thinking, maybe some marketing geniuses is fabricating all of.
Speaker 1 (35:59):
This stuff right beyond to something we have to see.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
