Speaker 1 (00:04):
And 84% of Americans want the Save America Act!

Speaker 2 (00:12):
But anybody who follows this process closely knows that we
don't have the votes.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
You tried your best, and you failed miserably.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
The lesson is, never try.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
The proof that you mailed your ballot on or just
before election day, it's not just a postmark, you can
handwrite the date.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
And that.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
This is this horrible thing to say about.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
They will remove 25 million people off the road.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
I got into a very interesting discussion on the third
rail with a buddy of mine, Chris Putnam. He is
the head honcho, the big cheese, over at the Dallas
Express newspaper, folks.

Speaker 5 (01:21):
And he was going over the.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Reasons why Republicans may lose in the midterms. And it
was nothing that necessarily the Republicans had done. As a
matter of fact, it's just the opposite. It's what they
haven't done. They have not done the will of the
American people. They have not passed the Save America Act.

Speaker 5 (01:40):
They have not.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Deported all criminal illegal aliens by passing a law that
will make it impossible for an illegal alien to live
in the United States.

Speaker 5 (01:51):
They've not done any of these things.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
They have not reversed all the damage done to America
by Joe Biden, by Beijing Biden and his lawless regime
and the regime of President Autopen. Another thing the Republicans
have not done is brought Democrats to justice. As a
matter of fact, it seems the Republicans are dedicated to
making sure the Democrats do not meet justice.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
Let me give you an example.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Crossfire hurricane, any illegally launched investigation into President Trump that
weaponized the government against Trump and those who supported him.
Then what about Arctic frost operation arctic frost where the
entire republican party was targeted by the democrat party illegally

(02:41):
their phone records viewed their phone records subpoenaed and acquired
and surveyed it and none of it was legal sitting
sitting u.s senators and those senators who were targets are
not interested at all in bringing democrats to to heal
for what they did to justice for what they did

(03:02):
As a matter of fact, the only thing those Republicans
sought to do was to charge the American taxpayers, what
was it, $ 500, 000 for each of them who were victimized
by Democrats? They don't want to punish Democrats. They want
to punish us for what Democrats did. It's the damnedest
thing I've ever saw. So you've got all of that.
Then you've got those who believe in delivering justice for us,

(03:22):
like the Attorney General of the great state of Texas,
Ken Paxton. Here he is, the announcement that just came
down about three days ago. Attorney General Ken Paxton secured
over $ 1 billion as part of an historic settlement with
Meta Platforms, Inc.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
To protect Texas children online.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
In addition to the monetary payment, the settlement requires Meta
to implement significant new safeguards to better protect children on
its platforms. So our people were done wrong by big
left-wing company known as Meta, the makers of Facebook and Instagram.
And here comes.

Speaker 5 (04:00):
Conservative and Republican.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Attorney General Ken Paxton, to actually protect the people, to
get justice for the people after they were wronged by
leftist nutbags. Remember, that's how I'm going to be voting, folks.
I'm going to be asking of every Republican who wants
my vote, how well have you protected me and mine
from Marxist and leftist Democrats? And if the answer is
not at all, which is what the majority of the

(04:25):
Republican Senate has done, well, then they don't get my vote.
Why do you think John Cornyn is out? He didn't
protect our people. He sold us out to lawless leftist
Democrats who make a career out of breaking the law
and getting away with it, courtesy of those fake Republicans
like Cornyn, like McConnell, like Cotton, like Curtis, right? Like

(04:47):
Murkowski and Collins. Massachusetts State Representative Francisco Palino was arrested.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Why?

Speaker 2 (04:55):
He was criminally charged with committing fraud during the pandemic.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Right?

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Here's a guy who we were all, chips were down,
we were under a worldwide pandemic, and this guy decides
to defraud the taxpayers of the United States. And of course,
he's a Democrat politician in Massachusetts. Incidentally, this comes after
Lawrence Mayer Lawrence, Massachusetts is the name of the town.

(05:21):
Brian DePena, also charged with China virus relief fund fraud. Now,
remember where all this money came from, folks? This fraud money?
It all came from you, out of your pockets. Because
guys like John Cornyn.

Speaker 5 (05:36):
Said, you know what?

Speaker 2 (05:37):
We just got to continue to fund the fraud. You know,
that's the price of good government. You've got to fund criminals.
You've got to fund those who defraud the government. You've
got to fund those in government who defraud the taxpayers, right?
Here's the political reality in the United States of America, folks.
You've got Democrats equaling government fraud. You've got Republicans fully

(06:02):
funding government fraud.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
And what does that mean? You and I are up
the river without a paddle, kids.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
It's sick and it's sad, but it's, it's what's happening.
You guys heard about this left-wing judge, federal judge, David Hittner.
He struck down SB 12. You know what SB 12 was?
It was a law saying, Hey, you can't market your
drag shows to kids, right? You can't have scantily clad
men dressed up as women doing sexually provocative things in

(06:29):
front of kids. You know what this shrub, this, this
shrub said about this law. He said, Hey, I'm going
to strike it down. By the way, he'll be overruled. Uh,
This perverted old man.

Speaker 5 (06:39):
But he'll be overruled. But he said, you know, just
don't go. Just don't go to a drag show.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Oh, because everybody knows that these kinky drag queens are
only confined to a place, right? They're only confined to
a certain area. And you got to go buy tickets
every single time. No, this stuff is happening to our
kids in broad daylight. They're being exposed to this kind
of stuff in government run schools. Just don't go to school?
Is that what I'm hearing Judge David Hinter say? When

(07:09):
your schools start getting drag queens to come on in, oh, then,
you know, just don't go.

Speaker 5 (07:14):
Just don't go to school. Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
What a nutcase this guy is. What about some other
issues under the law? Catherine Herridge, who's one of the
last investigative reporters out there, folks, check this out.

Speaker 5 (07:28):
Look what she's found.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Chinese parts in election machines. And it requires paper ballot audits.
That's a DHS warning, folks. A letter to Secretary of
the Department of Homeland Security, Mr. Mullins, summarizes classified records,
voting machines with components manufactured by foreign adversaries.

Speaker 5 (07:49):
Introduced significant security.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Risks, need for strong mitigation strategies, particularly considering the known
weaknesses in the election infrastructure supply chain. To receive full
DHS grants, states must conduct post-election manual counts of paper
ballots in addition to the other election infrastructure. How many
of you knew these shrubs in government were getting parts

(08:11):
for our voting machines from communist China?

Speaker 5 (08:14):
How many of you knew that?

Speaker 4 (08:16):
I didn't.

Speaker 5 (08:16):
This is like, oh, you gotta be kidding me. Remember
when Obama.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Obama stopped all China chips from coming into America, the microchips,
because we were installing them in our ships and our
aircraft and all that kind of stuff, in our financial technology,
and they had spyware on them. So they put a
kibosh on all that. Oh, but it's okay to allow
China to have access to our elections. What?

Speaker 3 (08:39):
Seriously?

Speaker 2 (08:40):
To receive full DHS grants, states must conduct post-election manual
counts of paper ballots. Hell, I wasn't aware that wasn't
going on already. That should have been going on already.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
Jeez.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Intel assessments. China remains the most active and persistent cyber
threat to the U.S. government, private sector, and critical infrastructure networks.
National Intelligence Council memo, October of 2024. Quote, we assess
that some U.S. adversaries, at a minimum China, Iran, and
Mother Russia, have the technical capability to access some U.S.

Speaker 5 (09:10):
Election-related networks and systems. What?

Speaker 2 (09:12):
2024, folks. An October memo, 2024. Oh, that was before
the election. Beijing, Biden, and leftists knew about it.

Speaker 5 (09:25):
How come we didn't?

Speaker 2 (09:26):
Admin officials know Intel China has successfully manipulated an American
vote count at White House Transparency Task Force.

Speaker 5 (09:34):
So that's where we are. Oh, no, they haven't done
it yet. They just can.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
And we're supposed to sleep well at night because the
only reason why there have been no vote counts skewed
is because China allegedly hasn't done so yet. How about
we have a serious federal government that will prevent China
from doing so even if it wanted to? Maybe you
can start by not including China parts in our voting machines.

(10:00):
or maybe getting rid of the voting machines altogether.

Speaker 5 (10:02):
How about that noise?

Speaker 2 (10:03):
All right, folks, more legal considerations, more legal cases to
focus on coming up.

Speaker 5 (10:07):
The South Sado Storm podcast.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
And now a word from our sponsor. My friends, did
Bidenomics in the left wing economy really rock your world?

for real Texans.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Go to TexasScorecard.com today. All right, folks, time for our
conversation with Travis Morgan, the legal correspondent for Texas Scorecard. Hey, man.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
How's it going, Chris? Thanks for having me.

Speaker 5 (13:51):
It's going great.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Look, you and I always talk about legal issues, and
my understanding was that the redistricting in Texas happened. We
had plus five potential Republican seats, and it was over
and done with. I guess it's not over and done
with because the challenges are still coming in.

Speaker 5 (14:10):
Is that true?

Speaker 1 (14:11):
That's true on many levels. At the very least, the
original case that sparked all of this was called Petaway.
out of Galveston County. And it was just a local
commissioner's court precinct map that they updated back in 2021.
The Biden administration went after them for it, and it
created this precedent once it worked its way up to

(14:32):
the Fifth Circuit that coalition districts, which is where two
minority groups make up the majority of a voting age
population in that area, they were able to elect their
candidate of choice. And Republicans had to always redraw those districts,
even if They were trying to redistrict on partisan grounds.
They couldn't mess with those coalition districts because of the

(14:52):
Voting Rights Act. And a lot of people were like,
you know, they were confused. This doesn't make any sense.
Why are we supposed to consider race or uphold districts
because of their racial composition? This doesn't sound right. So
this little Galveston County Petaway case worked its way up
to the Fifth Circuit, and it overturned that precedent, which
is what caused Robin Armstrong, who's the RNC committee man

(15:14):
for the state of Texas. He's now a Galveston County commissioner.
He started petitioning the state and saying, now we can
use this. Now that we don't have to uphold coalition districts,
we can really redistrict on partisan grounds and be more
assertive about it, not worry about having to uphold these
districts on racial grounds that Democrats have been doing. And
that's what led to everything Texas did when the state

(15:34):
redistricted its congressional map. But that Petaway case has still
been ongoing.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
Okay, but it seems that all of the cards are
stacked against what I would classify as using race, which
is illegal, to determine districts. That should be illegal because
we're not allowed to discriminate on the basis of race
in the United States of America. How did they judicially

(16:03):
square that circle? When when the Civil Rights Act or
the Voting Rights Act, I should say, and maybe some
elements of the Civil Rights Act as well, seem to
be contradicting one another. Right.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
That's absolutely true. So it comes from decades of Voting
Rights Act precedent where we're basically they just created all
these rules that, you know, technically mapmakers aren't supposed to
look at race. But if the effect of their map.
So this isn't really even about intent. If the effect
of their map is that it removes some districts that
have certain historical racial compositions. then it violates the Voting

(16:36):
Rights Act. And of course, the goal back in the
day was to make sure that, you know, I guess
states didn't intentionally redistrict to remove certain racial districts. But
this was never about intent. So it was a really
weird precedent that was set a long time ago in
the 80s. And finally, you know, it got overturned. And
then even beyond the Petaway case afterwards in a Supreme

(16:59):
Court case from Louisiana, it It went even further and
just said basically essentially what the precedent is now from
that is that race just cannot be a factor at
all in redistricting.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
Yeah. And the Voting Rights Act, that is correct me
if I'm wrong. That's section two, is it not? Yes.
That we're talking about here. When when does your gut
tell you that that entire section is going to be
done away with and deemed unconstitutional?

Speaker 5 (17:25):
What is your sense?

Speaker 1 (17:27):
I'm not sure. I think at this point, it's been
pretty much stripped. It's pretty hollow. Even the Democrat plaintiffs
who bring all of these redistricting lawsuits, they kind of
claim that now themselves. They say, look, now it's been
pretty much stripped. You know, it's the only tool we've
really had to challenge these Republican redistricting efforts is to
claim racial gerrymandering and use Section 2 and even beyond

(17:50):
racial gerrymandering, just say racial vote dilution, which isn't even intentional.
We can point to that and have Republican maps shot
down while, of course, Democrats could go redistrict as much
as they wanted. And that's been removed. So it already
is pretty hollow.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
Good. And a level playing field is starting to take shape, which,
of course, is something Democrats don't want and are vehemently
opposed to a level playing field. Folks, we're having a
conversation with Travis Morgan. He is the legal correspondent for
Texas Scorecard. So, Where are we with Petaway in Texas?

(18:25):
What is the timetable and when will this thing finally
be put to bed?

Speaker 1 (18:29):
Right. So the Petaway case itself, you know, remained ongoing
even after that ruling because they were still looking at
other aspects of that 2021 map. And what Galveston County
did in light of the Louisiana decision in the Supreme Court,
they said, all right, well, now we can redistrict even
more aggressively if we wanted to. So they redrew their
commissioner's court precinct maps again. But also, and also very importantly,

(18:52):
they redistricted their Justice of the Peace map and their
Constable map, which hadn't been touched since 2013 and hadn't
factored for population shifts. And they all had different maps
and they kind of consolidated them. So now they line
up a lot more now. And that was something that
always kind of needed to be done. So they did
all of that. And then they went back to Judge

(19:14):
Jeffrey Brown, who, of course, is leading the Pedway case
and made some adverse decisions for Republicans, despite being a
Trump appointee. He's been heavily criticized for that. But Galveston
County went to him and said, look, we redistricted now
since the 2021 maps were passed. We have these new
maps and this case is moot now, right? These maps

(19:35):
aren't in effect that they're challenging. And what the plaintiff
said is, well, I don't know if these new maps
are going to hold up because they were passed between
the twenty twenty six primary no good great twenty twenty
six general election which they claim you can't do. So
a little controversial. And Judge Brown said, well, if that's

(19:56):
going to get challenged and maybe overturned, then we should
still make a ruling on this case. So the Petaway
case remains ongoing. He said, this is not moot. We're
going to continue toward a ruling on it. But that
hasn't happened yet. And then those same plaintiffs who, of course,
and the plaintiffs against the state of Texas last year.
And it's really the same people led by Chad Dunn
every time. And so now they filed a new lawsuit

(20:18):
that's targeting these new 2026 precinct maps, claiming that because
they were instituted between the primary and general elections, that
it puts people in different precincts. It's stripping their voting
rights and all of that.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Well, as we're recording this, some breaking news is coming down,
and I wanted to get your reaction. Eighty seven year
old federal judge David Hittner just struck down Texas's SB
12 blocking restrictions on sexually oriented performances in front of minors.
His closing line to anyone who objects to his decision, quote,

(20:53):
just don't go.

Speaker 5 (20:56):
Just don't go.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
So if you just don't get your children, just don't
line up your children for sexual abuse. Thus, it excuses
the sexual child abuse. What a disgusting ruling by this guy.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
Right. And a big part of this is that it's
it could be in public in front of children. Just
don't go. Well, if one pops up right in front
of my kids while we're sitting down eating a lunch somewhere,
you know, that's not too good. But he he made
a ruling before and he said. Listen, I'm striking down
this rule before it even goes into effect because I
think it's an unconstitutional restriction on free speech. It went

(21:32):
up to the Fifth Circuit and the Fifth Circuit said, no,
not at all. We're sending this back down to you.
We're actually removing some of the plaintiffs. We're removing some
of the because I guess the law didn't even apply
to them. We're removing some of the defendants. We're just
leaving Paxton and it can go back down to him
and he can consider this one question that's important to consider.
Everything else is is silly. And now he finally did

(21:56):
reconsider it and he made the same ruling. It's unconstitutional.
That's his final ruling now. It's permanent. It's blocked. And
it's– Paxton already said he's appealing up to the Fifth
Circuit again, which it's more likely than not that it
gets another good ruling for Republicans. And this is going
to be a moot decision pretty soon.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
Yeah, because– well, that's good to know because this– This
guy is living in a fantasy land. This guy is–
I mean he– when does he ever come out of
his chambers to put his head up into the real
world to see what's actually.

Speaker 5 (22:30):
Going on out here?

Speaker 2 (22:33):
It's a very, very dangerous ruling and a very dangerous
man wearing a robe.

Speaker 5 (22:38):
Let me just see what this guy's name was. What
is his name?

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Kittner?

Speaker 5 (22:42):
Kittner.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (22:44):
Yeah, with an H.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
Hittner.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
Yeah. So I'm sorry. This guy's a fool. This guy's
an absolute moron. And praise God, he'll be off the
bench sometime soon. Last thing I wanted to get before
we had some pretty exciting news to announce from a
documentary that's coming out from Texas Scorecard was Ken Paxton
taking another victory lap for the taxpayers of Texas and

(23:07):
those who were demanding justice from some of these deep
pockets out there and some of the deepest pockets out there.
Attorney General Ken Paxton securing over $ 1 billion from Meta.
This is the company that owns Facebook and Instagram, folks.
An historic settlement that protects Texas kids online. This is stemming,

(23:28):
if I'm not mistaken, around Meta and Instagram using tools
and marketing their platforms online. toward children in an unhealthy way,
in a way that is unhealthy for kids and not
good for their mental health. What, what do you take
away from this?

Speaker 1 (23:48):
I mean, this is not the first one he's gotten
from Meta. It's a big deal. And, uh, I mean, he's,
he's had a lot of these recently where it's the,
the solutions are sort of creative in the courts. And
in this sense, it's, it's one of those issues where
it's bringing up that conversation again about, um, looking at
different attorney generals across the country and what they're accomplishing
for the Republican Party and conservative issues that matter a

(24:12):
lot to the grassroots. And he's going after these things
and getting them resolved favorably. So it's adding to that
debate as he enters his Senate run here. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
And I had heard That Meadow was making the rounds because,
I mean, they've been caught dead to rights, folks. I mean,
just be honest, because it's kind of indisputable now about
what has transpired because of testimony and because of things
that have been factually proven. So my understanding is, and
maybe you heard something different, Travis, is that Meta was

(24:44):
wandering around the 50 states saying, hey, can we settle?
What do we got to do before you sue us?
Because I guess the implication is that we're guilty as sin.

Speaker 5 (24:54):
Can we settle? Is that what you were hearing as well?

Speaker 1 (24:57):
Right. No, that seems about right. And I mean, good
on Ken Paxton for going after it and getting a
favorable decision.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (25:05):
And it should be noted that Florida has said, Nope,
we're not settling. We're going to sue you. We'll see
you in court.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
And so Mehta's troubles are just beginning, especially when you've
got the red state of Florida going after you. Folks,
we're talking to Travis Morgan, legal correspondent for Texas Scorecard.

Speaker 5 (25:26):
And that leaves us to the documentary.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
And it kind of circles back, folks, to how we
started our conversation today about redistricting. What is this documentary
going to be about and what's it covering? Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
So we went all over the country. We went to D.C., Virginia,
Galveston County and talking about this 2025 Texas redistricting. It's
not just about that. It's about the bigger picture for
the nation. What's happening with redistricting right now? Where are
we going? And I think it's an important documentary for
a couple of reasons. I mean, we chose to do
this because of that, because of these couple of reasons,

(25:57):
which is it's important for conservatives to arm themselves with
this information. If it ever comes gets brought up in conversation,
they hear something that's not quite right, or to be
able to share this information and the importance of it.
What actually happened? What were these racial laws that were
out there and how basically everything that happened was just
getting rid of them, getting rid of any sort of

(26:18):
race-based consideration nonsense that should never have been there that
had been holding Republicans back from doing what Democrats have
long been doing now, which is very aggressive redistricting at
the congressional level. where they're stacking the House and Republicans
have been limited in doing that because of these essentially
racist laws that Democrats had instituted. And how, of course,

(26:41):
this whole sort of Cold War now between Republican and
Democrat states trying to pick up as many seats as possible,
that all started late 2024 into 2025 with Texas, with
Galveston County and Robin Armstrong going around the state at
the state level and then going to the White House.
really bring the issue to the White House. And of course,

(27:01):
the Trump administration really ran with it.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
True.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
And, you know, I think it bears pointing out that
for so many years, the Republican Party was cowed. They
were just accepting these unfair redistricting lines as the Democrats
took full advantage of this prejudice in the court that
was in their favor and against conservatives and against Republicans

(27:27):
buying this stupid and silly notion that, oh, if it's Republican,
it must be racist, right? And so Republicans surrendered for
so many years on this And it took Donald J.
Trump to tell the Republicans, look, these guys are going
to do this to you.

Speaker 5 (27:44):
Time immemorial.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
It's time you did it back in states where where
you have control or else you will never be in
the majority ever again. And kudos to the president. Kudos
to his team for making the cases to these state legislatures.
and saying, look, the Democrats can't redistrict anymore without threatening
their existing districts. They're already spread way too thin. The

(28:05):
Republicans haven't even begun to stretch their legs yet. And so,
you know, if I were, and of course Democrats don't
listen to me, but if I were Democrats, I would
shut the hell up because if you keep poking the bear,
the Republicans just might get enough wherewithal to, to push their.

Speaker 5 (28:25):
Advantage to the max.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
And I think that's not going to work out well
if you look at the way the population is arrayed
and the politics of the population writ large.

Speaker 5 (28:33):
It will not work out well in the end for Democrats,
will it?

Speaker 1 (28:37):
No, certainly. And I think you made a great point
there about poking the bear, you know. And one of
the many conclusions this documentary comes to is that the
Biden administration got upset that this little Galveston County decided to,
you know, redistrict its commissioner's court seat. Somebody had an
in with the administration and got them to step in
and bring this lawsuit that completely turned against them. And

(28:59):
you have to imagine they regretted that. So it's a
big deal. And there's just so much that happened with redistricting.
Somebody had to document it. So we went about doing that.
And yeah, it's important to for everybody to sort of
arm themselves with this information, but also to look ahead.
How can this be used? How can these new precedents
be used now to really, you know, push the issue
and maybe redistrict at the state level, you know, at

(29:22):
the state house. And what could come of that? What
might that look like? There's a lot of questions that
are posed.

Speaker 5 (29:28):
Well, when does the documentary drop?

Speaker 1 (29:29):
That will be September 15th, just after the midterm conventions.
We'll be teasing it there a little bit. And definitely,
I'd say follow along Texas Scorecard on social media. We'll
be posting all sorts of advertisements for it leading up,
so you'll know when it's out.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
Travis Morgan, he is the legal correspondent for Texas Scorecard, folks.
Always appreciate the conversation, man. I learn something new every
single time.

Speaker 5 (29:50):

All the information about me, your liberty-loving Latino, and the
new book, The Rise of the Liberty-Loving Latino, A New
American Revolution. And remember this, a society's worth isn't measured
by how much power is stolen by government. A society's
worth is measured by how much power is reserved for
you and me.

Speaker 5 (30:24):
We, the people.

Speaker 2 (30:25):
You keep fighting to save your country out there, my friends,
