On this Salcedo Storm Podcast:

After a week of doing the new morning show on Torch Radio, Chris and Sean struggle with events in their lives. Sean had a rough work week. Chris had to cross a bridge most every parent crosses. And to top it all off one GOP Senator confirms the GOP is abandoning Texas, while another fake-Republican directly attacks the Texas conservative running for the U.S. Senate.

Speaker 1 (00:04):
And 84% of Americans want the Save America Act!

Speaker 2 (00:12):
But anybody who follows this process closely knows that we
don't have the votes.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
You tried your best, and you failed miserably. The lesson is,
never try.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
The proof that you mailed your ballot on or just
before election day, it's not just a postmark, you can
handwrite the date.

Speaker 4 (00:29):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
And that.

Speaker 5 (00:31):
This is this horrible thing to say about. They will
remove 25 million people off the road.

(01:11):
behind the show because I'm going to be completely honest
with you. I just got back from dropping off my
youngest to college. And I don't think I'm in a
particularly great frame of mind. When all my children left
for college, it was a gut punch. It was very emotional.

(01:34):
But when your baby... heads to college, it does something
to you. I'm not going to sugarcoat it, but it is,
to all you young parents out there, and to all
you folks who are maybe contemplating becoming parents, just, and

(02:00):
by the way, those of us who are seasoned parents
who are now dealing, staring right down the empty nest
syndrome situation. Just cherish every moment. You know, I applauded
the press secretary who had her second child, and she

(02:23):
is stepping down as press secretary, President Trump. I happen
to know there are some people on the Hill in
big time positions inside of the comms departments. the communications
departments for high profile individuals on Capitol Hill that took
time to be parents in particular moms. It's the most

(02:45):
important thing you could do as, as a woman is
to prioritize your child and not letting a stranger raise
your child and working it out to where your husband
might be able to do a little bit more of
the heavy lifting than, uh, Than you did for a
while just temporarily. Until the children are on a good

(03:07):
glide path. And that's what me and Mrs. Salcedo did.
But seeing my baby today. You know. Unpacking her stuff.
From the car. And taking her into her dorm. And
just realizing she's not going to be under my roof anymore.

(03:28):
That's a gut punch. I'm going to be honest with you.
So what you're going to be hearing, folks, is the
show behind the show. I was talking with Sean from
the road today. So it's not going to be the
normal audio quality, but you guys will be able to
hear everything we're talking about. And one of the things
that we'll be talking about is this. Have a have

(03:49):
a listen.

Speaker 7 (03:51):
It didn't sound from his answer. that the president made
any commitments, either himself or through his super PAC, to
write checks for Paxton, at least right now. Does Senate
Leadership Fund or NRSC have any plans for TV ads
to support him? Because he's down in spending there.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Well, I listened to your interview. It was very good,
by the way, with the attorney general. Look, there's no
sense bubble wrapping it. We've got a race in Texas.

Speaker 5 (04:21):
Yeah. That reason why you have a race in Texas
is because the Republican Party, the Republican Party spent a
hundred over a hundred million dollars to defeat a constitutional
conservative and one who has delivered for the people of
Texas throughout his entire time as attorney general for a
man who has betrayed conservatives in the Republican Party for

(04:43):
nearly the entirety of his career in the United States Senate,
John Cornyn. The reason why Ken Paxton is is now
up against the wall is because the Republicans said, hey,
we want to spend over $ 100 million to keep the
establishment Republican in office. And then when it came time

(05:05):
for the Republicans, by the way, the Republican Party's choice
didn't win. The conservative, the people's choice won, not the
Republican Party's choice. And when the People's Choice One, the
one that has fought for us, protected us from socialists
and Marxists to the greater degree than any, frankly, serving

(05:27):
Senate Republican leader has done for his or her voters
or for the country, then we found out the Republican
Party was nowhere to be found. And you're about ready
to hear. Senator Kennedy here admitted on the Karl Rove
Never Trump Network. Um.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
And the Attorney General is going to have to do
two things. He's going to have to point out the
deficiencies of Mr.

Speaker 5 (05:53):
Tavarico.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
He really is a Lulu Lennon, and he's a little
bit of a weenie. But at the same time, Mr.
Paxton is going to have to talk about what he's
going to do, a positive platform for the United States Senate.

Speaker 5 (06:11):
Well, a positive platform for the people who will finally
have representation In the United States Senate, the people of Texas,
we've only had half representation. If it's Cruz and Paxton,
we will have full representation in the United States Senate
and not Democrat socialists.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
You can't win an election by saying the other guy's
worse than me.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
Money is an issue. Mr.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Tallarico has been raising bucket loads of money from California, Hollywood,
all the beautiful people who partied with Harvey Weinstein. we
in the Senate don't have the money budgeted for Texas.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
Oh, wait a minute.

Speaker 5 (06:49):
That's not entirely true, is it, Senator Kennedy? You had
plenty of money budgeted for Texas to defeat a conservative
and try to bring drag kicking and screaming this ineffective
fake Republican by the name of John Cornyn.

Speaker 9 (07:05):
You had over $ 100 million to defeat the conservative. But
all of a sudden, When it comes time to face
the communist and the Marxist, you just don't have any
money budgeted.

Speaker 5 (07:19):
We need help from the president.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
The president says he has $ 850 million in his campaign accounts.

Speaker 5 (07:28):
That's a lot of jack.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
I'm hoping that the president's going to spend $ 100 or
$ 200 million in Texas, but he hasn't committed to it yet.
But in the meantime... you know, we've got a race
and I'm not going to play act and say that
we don't. Uh-huh.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
Well, the only reason why we don't, the reason why
there's even something of a perception of a race, and
by the way, folks, I don't believe the polls, is
that guys like John Cornyn, which we'll talk about here
in a minute, and sadly, guys like Senator Kennedy seem
to be pulling for the socialist or the Marxist so
they can teach we conservatives a lesson that the only

(08:07):
real Republican that can ever win is one that likes
to meet socialism and communism halfway. It's kind of what
I'm seeing and hearing. Boy, folks, Senator Kennedy and John Cornyn,
what he pulled over the weekend, proved beyond a shout
of a doubt that the two-party system is a fake.
It's a phony. It's a fraud. It's a fallacy. Insert

(08:31):
your F word anywhere you like. Fake, fraud, fallacy. It's
something else, too, of an F word. Isn't that right,
Senator Kennedy? That sounds like something Senator Kennedy would say.
But it has been proven to me beyond a shadow
of a doubt that the Uniparty does not want anymore
a government of, by, and for the people. And Ken

(08:52):
Paxton is a direct threat to this government of, by,
and for the government, which Senator Kennedy and John Cornyn
seem to be perfectly comfortable with, on the outside anyway.
Show behind the show with me and Sean coming up
next on the Salcedo Storm podcast.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
And now a word from our sponsor.

Speaker 5 (09:10):
My friends, did Bidenomics and the left-wing economy really rock
your world? Let American Medical Plans relieve one burden, health insurance.
American Medical Plan specializes in under 65 health insurance plans
that have zero co-pays and no deductibles. You choose your doctors,
you choose your hospitals. These plans have nothing to do
with your income and are 30 to 60 percent less

(09:32):
than Obamacare. If Obamacare has you paying out the nose,
call American Medical Plans. Don't let these Marxists destroy one-sixth
of the U.S. economy and your access to health care
without a fight. You deserve better. You deserve American medical plans,
the answer to the cancer that is Obamacare.

All right, folks, the show behind the show with Sean
Chastain and me, your liberty-loving Latino, Chris Salcedo, on the
Salcedo Storm podcast underway.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
I'm on the road.

Speaker 5 (12:48):
That's why the sound quality isn't the greatest. Hey, buddy,
welcome to it.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Yeah, man, thank you.

Speaker 5 (12:55):
We got a big week coming up, you and I.
This is the week that Torch Radio goes live with.

Speaker 4 (13:01):
All of its infrastructure all around the nation. I'm pretty excited.
What are your takeaways?

Speaker 1 (13:08):
Yeah, man, it's going to be good.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
Yeah, it's going to be epic. I think so. I
think so. Now, look, I think one of the big
things that's going to be.

Speaker 5 (13:14):
On my mind, and we're going to talk a lot
about it on the show probably in the coming.

Speaker 4 (13:19):
Days and weeks, is I don't know if you caught.

Speaker 5 (13:22):
What was going on this weekend with John Cornyn. And,
you know, it's one thing to be butthurt and maybe not,
you know, enthusiastic about the guy who beat you. It's
quite another thing to, as a quote, as Mr. Republican,
to go out there and work to defeat Republicans. And
Cornyn took to the Texas Tribune, as you.

Speaker 4 (13:45):
Know, as a left-wing newspaper.

Speaker 5 (13:47):
And so as a left-winger himself, he went to a
left-wing newspaper to launch an attack against the Republican.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
In a general election. Here's what he said.

Speaker 5 (13:56):
Quote, Paxton's a lazy campaigner. He's lazy and doesn't raise money.
And he basically is not offering a very compelling case
for his election. I'm like, Come on. I mean, we
can now drop the veneer that this man is in
any way out there trying to help Republicans get elected.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (14:18):
Right.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (14:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
I mean, the old adage, if you can't say something nice,
don't say anything at all. And if he doesn't feel
compelled to support the team red, then just shut your
pie hole and go away.

Speaker 4 (14:35):
And that's kind of what I'm thinking.

Speaker 5 (14:36):
But this idea that somehow, and I know what they're after.
They're trying to basically say if the Republicans lose control
of the Congress, it's because they elected all of these
conservatives in the primaries. And the only people that have
a chance of winning elected office on the Republican side
are those who are deferential to left-wing thought, socialist thought,

(15:00):
Marxist thought, as John Cornyn is. And so they want
to blame conservatives. In my mind, the people who are
going to be responsible are those who don't oppose Democrats
and these guys who are actively working to defeat conservative Republicans.

Speaker 4 (15:16):
Am I wrong?

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Nope. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (15:20):
I'm hoping, man, that these people get their comeuppance. And
I'm not going to let them get away with setting
this narrative. What do you got going on this weekend?

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Oh, just, I had to work yesterday, a side hustle job,
and just trying to get caught up, man. Just trying
to get caught up. It's been a weird week this
last week with the dry run of Torch Radio, and
just trying to get back into the swing of getting
up at 3 o'clock in the morning and then working

(15:51):
a second job at This week has been very hard.
It's been extremely hot, and I've been lifting a lot
of heavy metal. So, yeah, just tired and trying to
get caught up.

Speaker 4 (16:06):
Kicking your ass.

Speaker 5 (16:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (16:08):
I understand.

Speaker 5 (16:09):
You know, when you and I were doing the aforementioned
Torch Radio this week, you said that you would be,
you know, when the president renamed Lake Ontario Lake America,
you're like, come on, man. Lower the gas prices.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
Stop it, yeah.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
Yeah, stop it. And I sent this to you.

Speaker 5 (16:28):
Sean Chastain speaks, and then all of a sudden the
president acts. The United States of America has just entered
into an agreement with the country of Venezuela, the biggest
oil deal in the world, in world history. At my direction,
Secretary of State Rubio. and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth,
working closely with highly respected interim president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguez,

(16:51):
and through a partnership with private businesses, have secured majority U.S.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
Control of more.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
Than 65 billion barrels of proven oil reserves in Venezuela.
Everybody is, their jaw is dropping over the scope and
size of this. And this, when this oil starts coming
online and coming into the United States, we're looking at,
you know, basically double what the oil that America is

(17:18):
producing right now, which can do nothing but drive prices down.

Speaker 4 (17:21):
You're pretty happy about that?

Speaker 1 (17:23):
Yeah, it sounds good. I'm worried about the refining capabilities
because from my understanding, Venezuelan crude isn't what we normally
use to produce gasoline and stuff. It's, I think, a
much thicker, I don't know, I don't know anything about it,
But I don't know that it's the same as, you know,

(17:43):
West Texas crude or anything like that.

Speaker 5 (17:46):
Yeah, what they call Brent sweet crude or.

Speaker 4 (17:48):
Right, yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
That world I have really no idea about, so I'm
maybe talking out my ass here. But, yeah, I just
hope they can, that it's refinable and that it'll do
what the president hopes to do, and that's lower gas
prices because I think the day I was so frustrated,
especially with... with the renaming of Lake Ontario. Does Trump

(18:14):
own a map company or something? Is that why he's
renaming everything?

Speaker 5 (18:18):
I was actually watching, there's some weather heading up toward
Houston right now, a tropical storm, and I was watching
as the maps had been remade, Gulf of America, right?

Speaker 4 (18:28):
Which was also Trump, which I actually kind of liked.

Speaker 5 (18:32):
And the reason why I say that and I bring
up Houston is the Keystone Pipeline was going to be installed.

Speaker 4 (18:37):
Of course, the Democrats.

Speaker 5 (18:39):
If it meant energy independence for America, they hate it and.

Speaker 4 (18:42):
They stopped it.

Speaker 5 (18:43):
But that pipeline coming out of Canada, which had these
tar sands oil, which is very, very thick, the only
place it could be refined is Texas in Houston. So
the Venezuelan oil will be heading up through the Gulf
of America to Houston to be refined in answer to
your question about that. And it will be nothing but

(19:03):
an economic boon for Texas.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
Yeah, that's good. Anyway, the day I was railing about
the president wasting his time renaming bodies of water, I
paid $ 3. 89 a gallon for gas. Right. And that's just
no bueno, man. We've got to get it down.

Speaker 5 (19:29):
I finally broke down and got the 7-Eleven app, by
the way. Do you know what the deal is on this?
On the 7th and 11th, you can knock 50 cents
off a gallon of gas.

Speaker 4 (19:38):
If you fill up on the 7th and the 11th
of every month.

Speaker 5 (19:41):
So my middle child said to me, Dad, you really
got to get on this thing because I haven't paid.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
Over $ 2 a gallon.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
Or over $ 3 a gallon of gasoline for the last,
you know, five or six months.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
I'm like, seriously.

Speaker 5 (19:55):
So I signed up finally and they're going to extend
this deal to it through October. So I'd recommend you
do that since.

Speaker 4 (20:00):
Now you're going to be driving a little bit more.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (20:03):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
I guess so.

Speaker 4 (20:05):
This schedule kicking your ass, dude.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (20:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
Like I said, it was a very hot and heavy
week at the shop. So, yeah, I'm just tired, man.

Speaker 4 (20:18):
I hear you.

Speaker 5 (20:20):
I'm doing this. I'm on the road at a hotel.
I'm dropping off one of my children, the baby of
the family at college. So that's why, yeah, dude, it's
been a really emotional, heavy weekend. And after a very,
you and me both getting up, at O Dark 30,
having to get used to that new schedule. It's just

(20:41):
been heavy all week, plus the weight of a midterm
election cycle and so much going on in Texas, so
much going on in the country. I just didn't want
to take too much time on the show behind the
show today. And because the audio quality is not going
to be the greatest. So just give me a wrap
on this, buddy, about what you're looking forward to the week,
maybe a quieter week now that we're getting used to

(21:03):
being back in the swing and what you're looking forward
to in the week ahead.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
Yeah, it did seem to go well. I think one
of the stories you ought to get on and get
somebody on is because it affects so many right here
in my neighborhood. And that's the beef thing. So a
few days ago, Trump says he's, you know, okaying thousands

(21:28):
and thousands of tons of ground beef to enter America
from probably Argentina or other places. And I've seen some
videos on that saying it was a psyop because he
knew that he was going to go after these beef–
these packing plants.

Speaker 5 (21:48):
Yeah, they want to start letting him– not bury the lead.
The president has said that these packing plants can now
process their own meat instead of having to go to it.
external sources to process meat.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
Well, yeah, the farmers and ranchers can process their own meat. Yes, yes.
As opposed to taking them to the big four meat
packing plants in the country. There's only like four of
them that handle, I think I saw 88% of all
beef that we consume. So that's really good for farmers, ranchers, and,

(22:23):
you know, hopefully us consumers as I can't tell you
the last time I bought beef. I'm just not going
to pay $ 7 to $ 8 a pound for a pound
of ground beef.

Speaker 4 (22:35):
Oh, blank that, dude. And I told you about what
happened at Christmas, right? Normally we get a prime rib
for Christmas. It would have been $ 300. Yeah. And it
wasn't me. I was with her, but Mrs. Salcedo said,
hell no. Hell no. A roast that cost us the
year before right around $ 150 was doubled. It was doubled.

(22:57):
And I said, no, thank you. No, thank you. It's
not happening.

Speaker 1 (22:59):
So anyway, that's a story I think that's worth pursuing
sometime this week because it's a little confusing to those
of us who don't know anything about the cattle industry
and only buy hamburgers to cook on the grill. But
I know it's a big deal seeing some social media stuff.

Speaker 5 (23:19):
Whenever you've got a monopoly from like four companies that
the prices are.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
Going to be jacked, That's only one aspect.

Speaker 5 (23:27):
You know, I would really be in favor of us
stopping putting our food supply into our gas tank. I mean,
John Thune's big idea is to double down and triple
down on putting corn in ethanol form into our gas tanks,
which as a guy with mechanical prowess, you know, that's
the quickest way to eat up your engine, right?

Speaker 8 (23:48):
Yeah, I mean, the fuel delivery systems have adapted significantly
But if you have any kind of an older vehicle
or if you run lawn equipment, stuff like that, that'll
just eat the hell out of it.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
So if you run lawn equipment, go find, like here locally,
Walmart has ethanol-free fuel.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
And it's expensive.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
It's about a dollar a gallon more, yeah.

Speaker 4 (24:14):
Yeah, it's very expensive. I'm traveling.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
I found this new.

Speaker 5 (24:18):
88 octane it's got 15 ethanol in it it's it's
more uh i guess more octanes than the e85 which
is still also 15 ethanol uh in it and i
just i mean most mechanics even on the newer so-called

(24:40):
flex fuel vehicles nobody is really high on on burning
that and you know Anybody that said, oh, it's a
great idea to put our food supply into our gas
tanks and expect food not to go up in cost,
I mean, for crying out loud, we've got to stop
this practice. And that's the Republicans' big idea. It's one
big farm subsidy.

Speaker 4 (25:00):
And you know what? Why don't we just– Well, and I.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
Don't know that– I don't think it started with the Republicans.
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (25:06):
No, it was Bush. It was Bush.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
Okay. Well, yeah, how about we leave fuel– fuel companies
and car companies alone, because if there's a demand for it,
then they'll start making cars that are run on ethanol.

Speaker 4 (25:23):
Yeah, how about that?

Speaker 5 (25:23):
We could have gotten sugar cane from Brazil at a
fraction of the cost of corn of American growers and
used it to make ethanol. Actually, it's better to make
ethanol with that than with corn, but no, it was
set up by Bush.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
Well, how about no demands on... You have to run ethanol.

Speaker 4 (25:41):
Yeah, amen.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
How about taking the 10% away?

Speaker 4 (25:45):
Yeah, I'm with you.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
And let fuel companies do what fuel companies do.

Speaker 4 (25:49):
Amen to that, buddy.

Speaker 5 (25:50):
So anyway, look, I'm hoping that the week evens out
for both you and me. We've got a big week ahead.
We've got to be on our game. That's why we
had to get this podcast done, folks, by hook or
by crook while I'm on the road. Sorry about the
audio quality, but at least you guys could understand what
the hell we were saying.

Speaker 4 (26:08):
Sean, it is an honor. I'm excited to.

Speaker 5 (26:12):
Be working with you and me together again and putting
out some good radio.

Speaker 4 (26:17):
And we're going to be doing it this week, buddy.
And I'm glad you have a full schedule now. At
least you're.

Speaker 5 (26:26):
Pulling in some coin and you're able to pursue some
of the things, some of your interests too. And maybe
it's going to take a little of the pressure off.
You know what I'm saying?

Speaker 1 (26:34):
Let's hope. All right, buddy. All right.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
Thanks, pal.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
Have a great week.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
Enjoy the weekend.

Speaker 5 (26:39):
Bye. That's going to put a wrap on this Salcedo
Storm podcast. Folks, pick up the book for me, will you?
The Rise of the Liberty-Loving Latino, A New American Revolution.
Available in hard copy, available in audio book form. And
you can get that from Amazon, probably the easiest way. Also,
do me a favor. Do yourself a favor. Remember this.
A society's worth is not measured by how much power

(27:01):
is stolen by an out-of-control government or the uniparty. A
society's worth is measured by how much power is reserved
for you and me.

Speaker 8 (27:08):
We, the people.

Speaker 5 (27:09):
Keep fighting to save your country, my friends, because it's
worth it.
