Speaker 1 (00:04):
And 84% of Americans want the Save America Act!
Speaker 2 (00:12):
But anybody who follows this process closely knows that we
don't have the votes.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
You tried your best, and you failed miserably.
Speaker 4 (00:18):
The lesson is, never try.
Speaker 5 (00:21):
The proof that you mailed your ballot on or just
before election day, it's not just a postmark, you can
handwrite the date.
Speaker 4 (00:29):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (00:30):
And that.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
This is this horrible thing to say about.
Speaker 6 (00:33):
They will remove 25 million people off the road.
Speaker 4 (00:36):
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Speaker 7 (00:38):
Shut up!
Speaker 4 (00:39):
This is our Signal Storm podcast.
Speaker 6 (00:41):
Ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Speaker 7 (01:09):
Short work week this week, folks. It's Labor Day. And
so I guess the Salcedo Storm podcast is going to
be the only place where you can find exclusive content,
new content for the Chris Salcedo Show properties. So some
things that have caught my attention over the weekend. Of course,
the most important Senate race in the country is happening
(01:30):
in Texas. As you all know, I am a huge
and staunch supporter of Texas. Ken Paxton. Why? Because Ken Paxton,
unlike so many other Republicans, like Karl Rove, like Brian Kilmeade,
like Mark Thiessen, like John Cornyn, they have not done
as much as Ken Paxton has done to defeat socialists
(01:53):
and Marxists and their influence over this country and their
policies that have harmed us in this country. I wanted
you all to understand the anatomy of what's going on.
John Cornyn comes out. attacks Ken Paxton, you know, Mr. Republican,
attacks Ken Paxton as, quote, lazy, and then all of
a sudden you've got all of these rhinos, these fake Republicans,
(02:13):
echoing this sentiment. You've got Brian Kilmeade inviting Karl Rove
onto his radio show and just blasting the top of
the Republican ticket. And I want all of the Republicans
in Texas to know that the George W. Bush fixer,
the George W. Bush architect, Karl Rove, along with on
(02:36):
the same week where the Karl Rove Never Trump Network
fires Maria Bartiromo, according to reports, that they're the ones
out there, along with Mark Thiessen and Hugh Hewitt and
all these other ones, working to defeat the conservative, working
to defeat an effective conservative who actually believes in opposing
(02:56):
a Democrat every once.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
In a while.
Speaker 7 (02:59):
And you know what, folks? I've got to give a
hat tip To a former colleague of mine, his name
is Jack Fink. He is probably one of the most straightforward,
straight shooter political reporters in Texas. And that's really saying
something because he works for CBS fake news. And again,
(03:20):
former colleague, I used to work for CBS fake news.
I know these people very, very well. So the fact
that you've got a political reporter who is not only allowed,
but actually asks tough questions of both sides. It's a rarity, folks, which,
by the way, which is the only thing that we
conservatives really want. And a journalist is somebody who is fair,
(03:41):
asks tough questions of both sides, not just Republicans, right?
So here is his interview with James Talafreak's show, where
Jack Fink brought up some things.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
You shouldn't trust anything a politician says. You should look
at what a politician has done, because the best indicator
of future behavior is past behavior. Ken Paxton has taken
nearly half a million dollars linked to the data center industry.
And it's why he ignored residents in Hood County when
they asked for his help as attorney general to pause
(04:12):
data center construction in their community.
Speaker 7 (04:14):
Wait a minute. Wait a minute. The attorney general cannot
weigh in on industries that are welcome in Hood County
or any other county in Texas. It's not his job.
There was no law broken. There was no... Again, just
people wanting data centers. By the way, misinformed people not
(04:37):
wanting data centers. China supporting individuals who don't want data centers.
That aside, it is not Ken Paxton's job. You know
whose job it is? Those in the legislature. James Telefreak's
show did nothing to stop data centers if he was
so butthurt over them. And so... It's not even Ken
(04:58):
Paxton's job. But here, James Talafrake's show is hoping that
those who are going to vote for him are so
stupid that they don't realize that.
Speaker 4 (05:09):
He's ghosted them.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
And that's because he's bought and paid for by the
data center industry. I don't take money from data centers.
I don't take money from the data center industry. I
don't take any money from corporate PACs.
Speaker 7 (05:19):
That's not true. That's not true. There are so many
PACs that are that are. getting money right now from
those in favor of data centers who are supporting James
Telefreak's show.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
I am focused on serving Texans, and that means reining
in these big data center companies, making sure these data
centers are paying for their own energy. and not jacking
up utility bills across the state, recycling their water so
they're not exacerbating the water crisis.
Speaker 7 (05:46):
Okay, this is all bullshit. Folks, this is so much bullshit.
First off, the data centers, when they show up, they
are recycling water. So this idea that this is even
happening is stupid. Number two, they are going in. They
want to create their own power sources because of politicians
like James Talafreak show. Our grid is so dilapidated, the
(06:08):
East Coast, West Coast and Texas grid. It hasn't been
updated because politicians like James Talafreak show refuse to do
their freaking jobs. So no, no data center wants to
plug in. You know who wants the data centers to
plug in that the power companies, the greedy power companies
who are buying off people. like James Talafreak show, because
they want the money. They want to jack up your rates.
(06:30):
That's what these greedy power companies are doing. By the way,
in Texas, our rates keep going up and up and
up and up and up.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
Why?
Speaker 7 (06:36):
Because they refuse to bring reliable power generation online. That
is government's responsibility. Those in the legislature of which James
Talafreak show is part of, but not Ken Paxton in Texas.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
So we need a senator who's going to fight for Texans.
We don't need a senator who's bought and paid for
by the data center industry.
Speaker 6 (06:58):
Paxton and the Republicans push back. They call you a
hypocrite on this issue because they say billionaire Reid Hoffman
has donated $ 11. 5 million to the Super PAC that's funding
your campaign.
Speaker 7 (07:10):
Oh, wait a minute. Not only is he a billionaire,
but he is affiliated, big-time affiliation with... Jeffrey Epstein. And
you all know James Telefreak shows affinity for trans kids.
Speaker 6 (07:25):
And he supports data centers.
Speaker 4 (07:26):
So what do you say to that?
Speaker 2 (07:27):
Yeah, I've never taken a donation from Reid Hoffman. I
have no control over what any super PAC does, whether
they are for me or against me or neutral.
Speaker 6 (07:35):
But they still help you.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Well, there's a lot of super PACs out there that
are claiming to support me or claiming to support the
attorney general.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (07:43):
Well, wait a minute. You didn't disavow the donation to
the super PAC that was given by Reid Hoffman. You
could have said, James, tell a freak show.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
Look, Mr.
Speaker 7 (07:52):
Hoffman is associated with Jeffrey Epstein. I do not. I
do not want any of that money. I don't want
that super PAC supporting me. But guess what, folks?
Speaker 4 (08:02):
Mr.
Speaker 7 (08:03):
I love trans kids didn't do that. And as much
as Karl Rove and and John Cornyn and Brian Kilmeade
want to see James Talafreak show the next senator from Texas.
I think we the people ought to ought to do
something a little different. And as the uniparty Republicans join
(08:24):
forces with their socialist and Marxist friends to try to
turn Texas blue. I think it is important that we
the people stand up and we say no to Karl Rove.
We say no to George W. Bush and his moderate, squish,
left-wing cabal. We say no to John Cornyn and his
sour grapes and his efforts to turn Texas over to
(08:48):
somebody as uniquely unqualified as James Talafreak's show is. And
I think that we the people come together and push
back against this anti-American left-wing uniparty cabal. That's my opinion.
What's yours? Leave some comments. We talk to Sean Chastain
next on the Salcedo Storm podcast. And now a word
(09:10):
from our sponsor. My friends, did Bidenomics and the left-wing
economy really rock your world? Let American medical plans relieve
one burden, health insurance. American Medical Plan specializes in under
65 health insurance plans that have zero co-pays and no deductibles.

paying out the nose call american medical plans don't let
these marxists destroy one-sixth of the u.s economy and your
access to health care without a fight you deserve better
you deserve american medical plans the answer to the cancer

Show behind the show time. It's Sean Chastain and me,
your Liberty loving Latino, Chris Salcedo on the Salcedo storm podcast.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
Hey buddy.
Speaker 7 (12:47):
Hey, just coming back from Nebraska, spending time with the grandkids.
How'd it go?
Speaker 4 (12:51):
Um, so it was, uh, it was a whirlwind trip.
I flew up this time, which was, which was pretty nice.
I got to tell you, uh, my sister had some
points on Southwest. Um, So she said, Hey, let me
just get you a ticket. Cause I'm never going to
use these points score.
Speaker 7 (13:09):
All right.
Speaker 4 (13:10):
Um, and so, yeah, so that was, that was really nice. And, uh,
so I, I was driving to love field in Dallas
and worried about parking. You know, if you, if you
park at DFW, there's an app for their parking and
you can, you can, um, pre-select a spot, you know,
(13:31):
or not a specific spot, but you can You can
sign up for your parking early, say, I'm going to
be here this time through this time. And it's a
huge discount if you park at DFW, if you go
through their app. And so I would have assumed that
Love Field would have had the same thing. And they do,
(13:51):
except every time I logged on to get the discounted rate,
it would say not available at this time.
Speaker 7 (14:01):
So.
Speaker 4 (14:02):
So anyway, I'm driving to Love Field. Yes. I'm driving
to Love Field and I'm like, and there's one of those,
the parking spots, you know, those, you take the little
shuttle bus up to your.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
Right.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
Up to your gate. And so I just whipped in there.
That way I wouldn't have to jack around with Dallas
Love Parking because I had no idea how I've flown.
I don't think I've ever flown out of Love before.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
You've never flown to Love Field before?
Speaker 4 (14:26):
Maybe once 25 years ago. Wow.
Speaker 7 (14:29):
Um.
Speaker 4 (14:30):
Yeah, I think we did to go to New Orleans,
but that was it. Anyway, so I whipped into that
parking spot place because they're usually a little bit cheaper
than the airport parking. And that was kind of nice because,
you know, the bus picks you up right at your car,
drops you right at your gate, and same way coming back.
So that worked out. Still, three days, 76 bucks. Man, parking,
(14:57):
we should have got into that business, I think.
Speaker 7 (14:59):
$ 76 for parking? Yeah. Dude, just the cost of things.
I went to Home Depot yesterday. One of the pickets
in my fence rotted and it broke. So it looked
like crap, right? So I went in and I bought
a picket. My father-in-law says, you know, you might as
well pick up three because there's a couple other ones
(15:20):
that are about ready to go. And I'm like, he goes,
I just ran it like 10 bucks. I'm like, okay. Actually,
he says three bucks. So I go there. You know
how much a picket Of just cheap pine costs. Three bucks.
For one. For one. Right.
Speaker 5 (15:36):
Right.
Speaker 7 (15:37):
And then I get, maybe it just shows you how
much I don't know what the hell things cost these
days because I don't shop very much. Right.
Speaker 4 (15:44):
Well, did you think that was outrageous?
Speaker 7 (15:45):
I thought it was completely outrageous. Three dollars for one picket.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
To pay three dollars for one.
Speaker 7 (15:50):
For one picket for a fence. Can you imagine going
across your entire backyard?
Speaker 4 (15:55):
Oh, sure.
Speaker 7 (15:56):
I mean, the lumber costs are outrageous.
Speaker 4 (15:58):
Yeah. But that's pre-cut, and I don't know if it
was treated or not.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
No.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
Okay.
Speaker 7 (16:05):
No.
Speaker 4 (16:05):
I mean, because you could have got a 1x4 just
off the rack.
Speaker 7 (16:11):
Well, it was an 8-footer, and I had to trim
it up just to make it fit my specific fence line. Right. But, dude,
there were, what was it, a cedar? Cedar was like
$ 7 per?
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (16:24):
$ 7 per picket. Can you imagine making a whole fence
out of that stuff? Dude, it's outrageous. And I know
why it's outrageous. It's because we have offshored so much
of our production and we rely on Canada. So now
that we're in a pissing match with them on this
trade war. Then, you know, of course, we're paying out
(16:47):
the nose because we've we've allowed too much of this
kumbaya bullshit reliance on foreign countries. It's not like we
don't have lumber in this country. It's not like we
don't have. I mean, we've got tons of it. Why
are we relying on Canada for it? Just so we
can prop up a leftist socialist country. I just, dude,
it just just boggles my mind and it pisses me off.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
Yeah, I know, man. I know. But I wouldn't think
that you hear about the dollars would. Yeah. would raise
an eyebrow. Oh, no, dude.
Speaker 7 (17:18):
That's not... For one picket! One picket! I'm not talking
about a section. I'm just talking about one freaking picket.
One freaking picket. By the way, speaking of parking, did
you hear about the scam that was going on at DFW?
Speaker 4 (17:33):
No.
Speaker 7 (17:34):
Yeah, the Texas... No, I was going to say Texas Tribune.
What the hell? I'm looking right at them. I'll think
of it. Um... They did a story, Carlos Tercios, who
works for the Dallas Express, Dallas Express. They did a
story on how the jihadis have been using and scamming
(17:58):
and blocking out all the other Uber drivers using the
app and scamming it to where basically they have their
own little cabal of, and they're the only ones providing
rides to and from the FW airport. They're blocking out
like three quarters of, Of the other Uber drivers. And
they're using the app to swoop in and they're coordinating
(18:19):
it and using it to box out all the other
Uber drivers if you're not part of the Islamic crowd.
It was nuts. I was like, you got to be
kidding me. That's actually going on, man. And they're making money.
Speaker 5 (18:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
So the rest of my trip was pretty cool. It
was Thursday, Wednesday we got there. I got there at 7.20
that night.
Speaker 7 (18:41):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
We ate dinner. I think we just hung out and
talked for a little because my sister, two of my sisters,
my mom, my daughter Madeline, her wife Carolyn, the three boys,
and Carolyn's brother were there. And the reason we were
in town was because she has been advanced to lieutenant
(19:03):
colonel in the Air Force.
Speaker 7 (19:05):
Hey, right on. Right on. That is so cool, man.
Speaker 4 (19:10):
Tell her congratulations. Thank you. Yeah, so Thursday we did
the pinning ceremony, and Thursday morning we were running around
like crazy getting all the party supplies. And then we
had a little party at their house afterward, a bunch
of friends and stuff, so that was fun.
Speaker 7 (19:28):
That's a nice little bump in pay, too, you know?
Speaker 4 (19:30):
Yeah, I would think so. She's the aide-de-camp to the
commander of— Strategic command.
Speaker 7 (19:37):
Dude, coming up from a major to a lieutenant colonel,
that's something, man. That's something.
Speaker 4 (19:43):
And a pretty important big-time job.
Speaker 7 (19:45):
How much longer does she have in? Do you know?
Have you talked to her?
Speaker 4 (19:49):
They say they want to do 20 and out, so
not that much longer, like maybe seven or eight years,
something like that.
Speaker 7 (19:58):
You know, if she can just hang on until she
makes full bird colonel, the retirement's going to be so
much nicer. Of course, if they make her a full
bird colonel, they're going to want a little more time
out of her, you know? Yeah. I don't know that
seven years is going to be enough. It may be.
I may be. She could be on track. Making lieutenant
colonels is just amazing.
Speaker 4 (20:21):
She's 35 years old, too. I mean, that's crazy.
Speaker 7 (20:24):
Making lieutenant colonel at 35, that is amazing. So she
could just hang on maybe to 45, you know? And
then full bird colonel and then retire? Dude, that would
be That would be flipping amazing. And then, you know,
the extra money coming in.
Speaker 5 (20:43):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 4 (20:44):
She'll be headhunted for, you know, every. Oh, yeah. Every
aerospace company that there is.
Speaker 7 (20:52):
The boys will be grown and getting into school. Then maybe,
you know, she can do a little vacation time and
enjoy a little bit of life with, you know, and
a nice little hefty pension. That's nice. I don't know
if you have any sway in that. I mean, I
know a lot of it. our buddy Colonel Schaefer, Lieutenant
Colonel Tony Schaefer, the only reason why he wasn't a
(21:13):
full bird colonel by the time he left was because
of all the politics surrounding 9-11. Remember, he was the
one that was Operation Able Danger and he was the
one that was saying we had every reason to know
that 9-11 was going to happen and the people that
should have alerted us didn't. And so because he knew
(21:36):
where all these Where all these bones are buried, they
targeted his career. And that's not going to happen to
your little girl, you know, because she's just, you know.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
Right.
Speaker 7 (21:44):
Praise God she doesn't get anything mixed up in anything
like that. But, yeah, full bird colonel is where it's at.
And then retiring, you know. That'd be good.
Speaker 4 (21:55):
Yeah, that'd be neat.
Speaker 7 (21:56):
Tell her I said congratulations.
Speaker 4 (21:57):
Yeah, thank you. Yeah, it was pretty good. Then we
went to the zoo. I don't know if you've ever
been to the Omaha Zoo.
Speaker 7 (22:03):
No, can't say that I have.
Speaker 4 (22:05):
It's a beautiful, unbelievable facility, but huge and hilly, and
it was a walking zoo and man.
Speaker 7 (22:18):
Never been to Nebraska. You like it there?
Speaker 4 (22:21):
Yeah. I like Midwest folks. They're just good, down-home, hearty
people and friendly.
Speaker 7 (22:29):
What was the weather like there when you were there?
Speaker 4 (22:31):
It was 100 effing degrees.
Speaker 7 (22:33):
Damn it.
Speaker 4 (22:34):
We're walking around this hilly zoo, and I'm like, Matt,
I can't go much farther.
Speaker 7 (22:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
Sweating bullets out there.
Speaker 4 (22:41):
And she said, well, yeah, and all of us were.
And she said, well, let's get on the little tram thing.
And that kind of takes us to the backside of
the park. And we walked around there a little bit,
and then we got back on and went home. But
good Lord, it was, yeah, I thought I was going
to get some kind of a respite from the Texas heat.
(23:01):
But nope, it was just as hot and even a
little more heavy, the air was, you know, just because
of the humidity.
Speaker 7 (23:11):
Yeah, well, dude, I'm glad you had a chance to
go visit. And, you know, miles are great. I actually
used some miles earlier this year. I had to use
them for a funeral, but, you know, it was still
good to have them. There was something I wanted to
bring to your attention, something we hadn't talked about a lot. And, uh,
(23:31):
there was a reason why, and I, I was talking
about it with somebody who was a female who was
in the medical professional and who's a mother this weekend,
somebody I trust implicitly. Um, and it's this Lindsay Clancy trial. I,
I haven't commented on it because I wanted to see
where justice was going to go, um, on this. Um,
(23:57):
because I, I, I didn't I didn't want to weigh
in with everybody else because I wanted to see where,
as the case, because so many people wanted to comment
on face value, right. About just the sensationalism of it.
And I wanted to see what come out, came out
in testimony. I wanted to see the facts before I
(24:21):
rendered an opinion on all of this because so many
people didn't.
Speaker 4 (24:25):
Right.
Speaker 3 (24:25):
Right.
Speaker 7 (24:26):
Um, Now that it's gone to a mistrial, everything's out
there laid bare for everybody to see. And now that
it has, I've come to some conclusions. But before I do,
and I don't know how much how closely you paid
attention to it. I just wanted to get your your evaluation.
We're not sure if the government's going to retry her
(24:48):
again on these charges because of one dude who said, no,
we cannot. Allow this to happen. And I will tell
you that the medical professional mother and woman that I
that I consulted said, you know, it is true that
the this medical system failed her. And I would say
the Obamacare medical system failed her and her children. At
(25:12):
the same time, she shouldn't get off. You know, it's
two things can be true at the same time. And
that's kind of what informed this article I just wrote
on Substack. But I wanted to get your take first.
Speaker 4 (25:24):
Yeah, you can't murder your babies and not expect to
go to jail for the rest of your life. I
didn't even understand why the jury wasn't back in 10 minutes.
I understand about postpartum depression. I experienced it with Madeline
(25:45):
and my ex-wife, Matt's mom. When Madeline was born, her
mom cried. She couldn't touch her. She wouldn't nurse. She
wouldn't do anything. She wouldn't even pick her up. And
so for the first six months of Mad's life, it
was pretty much me. And the rage, too, I can understand.
(26:13):
My ex-wife got so angry one time. I saw her
rip a pretty thick paperback novel in half at the binder.
I mean, it was like superhuman strength, you know? She
never hurt the baby or anything like that, didn't do
anything like that, but that whole postpartum depression thing is real.
(26:33):
So I have sympathy for that, you know, but still
there's consequences for it, you know. Somewhere in the back
of your head, I would think, no matter how hormoned
you are and rage-filled you are, that somewhere in the
back of your head, something's got to say, well, this
is wrong. You know, I can't kill my children. Right.
(26:57):
And so I'm... Was it true that it was 11
to 1? Was the.
Speaker 6 (27:01):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
Wow.
Speaker 7 (27:03):
And he held out for weeks.
Speaker 4 (27:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (27:07):
How?
Speaker 4 (27:08):
You know? How did.
Speaker 7 (27:10):
It's so hard, man. And kudos. This guy's an American hero.
And he was demonized and called out by the defense attorney,
improperly so, I believe. I thought it was... a form
of doxing, but that's just my opinion. But he held
out and he was not, he was of the opinion, yeah,
(27:31):
all this, and I'll go through the difference between postpartum
depression and postpartum psychosis in a minute and my impression
of that. But yeah, he held out and said, there's
got to be some consequence. You just can't walk. Are
you kidding me? Acquitted? Are you kidding me? because of
(27:53):
what the standard that sets. And wrap up your sentiments,
and then I'll let you know about the post and
the article that post inspired.
Speaker 4 (28:02):
Oh, I mean, again, I don't see how the jury
didn't come back with a guilty verdict in 10 minutes.
And the fact that they didn't, the fact that this
is going to mistrial, I mean, surely she's not going
to be walking the streets. for the rest of her life.
Speaker 7 (28:23):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (28:24):
Surely there's going to be something that happens to her,
whether it's in a, you know, loony bin for the
rest of her life or jail for the rest of
her life.
Speaker 7 (28:32):
I don't know, dude, because in acquittal, in acquittal, she
goes free.
Speaker 4 (28:38):
Right?
Speaker 7 (28:39):
I mean, and that's what they were, that's what the 11,
my understanding is anyway, if I'm reading the coverage correctly,
11 voted for acquittal and one did not. So here's
what I said. I wrote in this article and I'll
I'll read you the the the post that I made
(29:02):
on X because I and I again, I already mentioned
the fact that we have this this health care system
that failed this woman and her children and Obamacare health
care system. That's what we've been under all these years.
And it's a failure. And I and I cite some.
Speaker 4 (29:19):
How did the system fail her?
Speaker 7 (29:21):
Well, because she because in the trial, it came out
that there were a lot of red flags. She was
seeking help, you know, with a postpartum depression slash psychosis
that she wasn't getting. And according to the medical professional
that I was consulting. yes, that's a problem that because
(29:43):
of the Obamacare system we have. And by the way,
I linked to the article I wrote since Obamacare's passage,
suicide rates and the prevalence of depression and anxiety have
not improved. And in several measures, they've gotten worse between
2010 In the early 2020s. So this this is the
(30:04):
consequence of the left wing socialist system that we're in
now under Obamacare, that people are falling through the cracks
with greater frequency. And this woman who was showing signs
of crying for help, you know, was was one of the.
The people not served and her children. But that being said,
(30:24):
the medical professional I was talking with said, yeah, you
cannot allow a cry for help be a get out
of jail free card.
Speaker 4 (30:31):
Right.
Speaker 7 (30:32):
When you do the unthinkable. And right. But but if
you look at the culture of the left. They celebrated
this guy that gunned down the UnitedHealthcare CEO, right? This
Elias Rodriguez, the man charged in killing those two Israeli
embassy staffers. You had the left wing cheering the wanton
(30:55):
slaughter of human beings because they were Jews, right? They
characterized that execution as, quote, brave. They celebrated the man
being accused of killing Charlie Kirk. They applaud when President
Trump is attacked, what, three times now, assassination attempts against him?
(31:16):
So in my mind, this is cultural. This is what
we find acceptable as a people, right? And so this
is what I wrote. I've not commented on the Clancy
case wanting to give justice time and room to play out.
As a mistrial, courtesy of one morally American juror, has
been declared, I have the following observations. And then parenthetically,
(31:41):
I added this in the article. Being an American comes
with valuing life, justice, and the Christian values that formed
our nation, constitution, and culture. That's just true. That's American.
Number one, a society is judged by how it treats children.
Number two, Courtesy of the inhuman left, this nation is
shamelessly slaughtered. 68 million defenseless children in utero since 1973.
(32:04):
Leftists have supported and promoted and implemented laws and policies
to normalize this Nazi-esque barbarism. Now, I know I'm going
to get pushed back by classifying abortion on demand as Nazi-esque,
but it is. It is. And the idea that a
society can take that mindset without consequences... is stupid because
(32:27):
now we're in court debating whether a woman who killed
her three living children should be brought to justice or not.
That's where we are because we've devalued life in this
country to such a degree, okay? Number four. Now, this
is what I was going to talk to you about,
postpartum depression versus psychosis. The idea that postpartum depression is
(32:47):
new or somehow more severe now than it was in
our past isn't backed by any real science. Parenthetical. Postpartum depression, PPD,
is a mood disorder. Postpartum psychosis, PPP, is a rare
psychiatric emergency in which a person loses contact with reality.
Someone with PPD can feel terrible and still know what
(33:09):
is real. Someone with PPP often does not. Observers, including
one juror, didn't think Lindsay Clancy met the incredibly rare
PPP threshold, which is, again, an exceedingly rare diagnosis, and
I'm going to go back to the to what we
now call trans, right? Somebody who thinks they're pretty that day, oh,
(33:31):
you get to be trans, right? A man who wants
to cross-dress as a woman or vice versa, oh, you're trans.
And we lump all of these deviants under the umbrella
of trans. There is one medical term that is legitimate
and it's called gender dysphoria. And it's a fraction of
a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of our population. Yet,
(33:55):
The trans umbrella applies to all these freaks because the
Democrats need a political agenda, right? So they're not all
gender dysphoric people. And that's what I believe is happening here.
They took an obscure, rarely diagnosed syndrome, which, yes, is real. PPP,
(34:15):
the postpartum psychosis. And they tried to apply it to
get this woman off.
Speaker 4 (34:21):
Right. Right.
Speaker 7 (34:24):
And I don't believe she met the criteria, certainly. The
juror didn't think, one juror didn't think so. So what
has changed courtesy of the inhuman left is our national
tradition of holding life sacred. That's what I said, point
number five. The Democrats' perverted culture of death can be
(34:44):
witnessed by degenerates celebrating the implementation of an infanticide bill
in Massachusetts. Lunatics who think The measure of a woman's
power is killing her children. And deranged supporters of Lindsay
Clancy standing on the roadside pledging their support for her
horrific subhuman and un-American actions. There's a video out there
of somebody signaling to this woman's motorcade the heart, you know,
(35:06):
making the heart out of her hands. It's one thing
to be sympathetic to a woman who may or may
not be suffering from some sort of postpartum issues. It's
quite another thing to glorify the way the American left
has this criminality. You know, number seven, Alexis de Tocqueville,
(35:30):
to paraphrase his sentiments nearly two centuries ago, America is
great because she is good. America ceases to be good.
America will cease to be great. And that's what I
think is at stake with these cases. We're watching the pendulum. Sorry,
that's not right. We're watching our civilization downgrade before our eyes.
(35:51):
to where we're now debating, hey, should a mother who
killed her three children be held accountable? We're actually debating
that in this trial. And that's where we are. And
I know that maybe you or somebody else will say,
you can't blame us on the left. Hell, I can't.
(36:13):
Maybe you can blame the right for not fighting so
hard to push back on it. But Damn, we cannot
allow this to stand, can we? Can we?
Speaker 4 (36:26):
No, I don't think so, man.
Speaker 7 (36:30):
And you and I had an off-air conversation about this,
about the things that I cover, the things that I
discuss and talk about, the political prism, which I believe
our culture is downstream of our politics. Breitbart said that.
Andrew Breitbart. He was I think he was right. So
(36:51):
you get a case like this and every Tom, Dick
and Harry has commented on this. And and I guess, Sean,
I'll throw it to you with this. Somebody showed up
on my X page and said the following. Getting old.
Move on. These women that do this are all mentally unstable.
(37:12):
It's been happening for years. Now they're focusing on it.
They never fix anything. can we allow that to be
our mentality when it comes to this discussion?
Speaker 4 (37:24):
No, I mean, and this has been going on for
years for, you know, long as I've been paying attention,
there's been women that have, you know, driven their children,
loaded cars into the ocean or off a boat ramp or,
you know, choked them out or shot them or whatever.
And I, don't remember any of those getting let off
(37:52):
the hook. So I can't imagine this will be the
first one that gets allowed to kill her kids with impunity.
And the other thing I keep coming back to, if
this was a dad who was under some sign of psychosis,
you know, and shot his three children or stabbed or
(38:12):
choked them, the jury would have been back in about
three minutes, you know, with a guilty, with a guilty verdict.
So I don't know. I just don't get how, how
they let her off.
Speaker 7 (38:30):
I don't. And again, I think it's that I pray
the government does retry this, but the fact that it's
up in the air that we don't know, Whether they're
going to do.
Speaker 4 (38:45):
It or not? Well, and then, you know, even with
a retrial, you're not guaranteed the outcome that I think
she deserves. So she may get off scot-free.
Speaker 7 (38:55):
Good grief. And if that's the case, I mean, I
was talking to somebody else who's not very political the
other day saying, you know, about this case, it's pitting
men against women. Which, by the way, that's what the
left wing... Is dedicated to doing putting us at each
(39:15):
other's throats.
Speaker 4 (39:16):
Right.
Speaker 7 (39:17):
And they're succeeding.
Speaker 4 (39:18):
Right.
Speaker 7 (39:18):
So so wherever they can exploit division, they'll they'll create
these these conflicts. And if you read Peter Schweitzer's books,
this is this is the agenda of the conflict. left
around the globe that America can't be defeated from the outside.
You've got to divide them from within. And that's precisely
(39:39):
what we're doing. And that's where the rubber meets the
road in all of this. In my mind, we are
at each other's throats over an issue that that we
were all united on as Americans at one point. No,
you can't kill your children with impunity. No, life is sacred.
But we don't all believe that anymore. We don't all.
(40:00):
And you can't tell me that the Democrats believe that
they don't believe it anymore. And they're acting on it. Why?
As some of them are, you know, stupid enough to
believe it. Others are using it as a political wedge,
a political divisive tool. That's exactly what they're doing right now.
(40:20):
And see, as as much as I that I and
I will admit this and I've admitted this to you
off air and I think I've even admitted on the air.
I have a blind spot for for what I would
classify as frivolous stuff and how it applies to our
every day. With a full recognition that we can't be
(40:40):
on issue after issue after issue, there's got to be
some stop down because the human animal, Rush Limbaugh taught
me this, the human animal has to stop down and
digest what the hell you're fighting for. Whether it be
going to a movie with your kids or whether it
be whatever, family, there's a reason why we fight, right?
That's how I classify it. You've got to recognize why
(41:02):
we fight. That being said, when it's this fundamental, about
who and what we are as a people, you've got
to tackle it, you know, as uncomfortable as it is.
And I'm sorry, man, the days of me saying, well,
you know, Republicans and Democrats just want the best for
America and we just have different ways of getting there.
(41:23):
That is utter bullshit. The left wing is out for
monumental change. They want to take away that constitution. They
want to take away your ability to oppose them. And
they're willing to do anything to implement anything to get
it done. And unless we as a people look at
it and say, oh, this is with clear eyes. This
(41:46):
is what you're doing. It's why I've been able to
declare the political system, the two party system of farce,
because it's not real. You know, what's what's real is
what's happening to us. What's real is the decline in
American life. What's real is paying three fricking dollars for
a damn picket, uh, for, for my fence post or
(42:08):
for my fence picket for my, for my fence. That's real,
you know, and there's a, and it's not some plague
born on the wind. It's not, it's, it's a consequence
of every effing thing our people are ignoring, dude. It
doesn't just happen.
Speaker 1 (42:25):
Right.
Speaker 7 (42:26):
And that's what I want people to recognize. And maybe
I've been barking up the wrong tree and I've been
too dogmatic about it, but for, for crying out loud,
we we've seen what tune out gets us. Why don't
we try something different? You know, tune out gets us
inevitable national decline. Why don't we try tuning in? See
what that gets us. You know what I'm saying? Maybe
(42:48):
we save the country.
Speaker 1 (42:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (42:50):
I mean, certainly, but to get when, when people have
lives to get, them to tune in is pretty hard.
Speaker 7 (42:59):
Yeah, it is.
Speaker 4 (43:00):
And like we were talking off air, you know, I've got,
I've got every newscast. I've got, uh, every piece of
audio that I hear, you know, every piece of media
that I consume, uh, telling me that the world's ending,
you know, that what a horrible place we live in,
(43:21):
that we're at war and the prices are out of control. And,
You know, you don't hear, thanks to our BS media,
you don't hear the good stuff. And so the frivolous
stuff is not so heavy. And I don't have to
(43:42):
worry so much that the world's ending.
Speaker 7 (43:44):
Well, you know, when you were gone from the Salcedo
show on Torch, we discussed the State Board of Education
in Texas. And they did something good. They wanted to teach,
they wanted to change the curriculum in Texas to where
kids were learning the real history of Islam. And they
(44:04):
wanted to teach it through the history, I mean, Jesus
Christ was a historical figure, right? Teach what he was about.
They also wanted to teach about Muhammad. He was a
historical figure too, who happened to coin the phrase and
launch the jihad against Jews and Christians. He slaughtered uh,
them enslaved them. And of course care didn't want the
(44:28):
real history taught, but you know, the state board of education,
Texas said, no, you've got to teach reality what really happened.
And so we talked about it, you know, on the show,
it was a good thing when they, when, when people
in government do a good thing, you got, and I'm,
and I believe this, you've got to applaud them for it.
So they do more good stuff.
Speaker 4 (44:47):
Right.
Speaker 7 (44:47):
And, and, We haven't had a lot of that from
our government. When they do do it, you applaud them. And,
you know, you were talking about the media and it
something else that you and I haven't had a chance
to talk about because it just happened. Maria Bartiromo, according
to reports, shown the door over at the Karl Rove
(45:09):
Never Trump Network Fox. What is your take on that?
Speaker 4 (45:13):
Yeah, that was a shocker to see that. And then
from some of the reports I've heard from insiders and
stuff that her lawyer says she wasn't fired.
Speaker 7 (45:25):
No.
Speaker 4 (45:26):
And that they squelched the story and she didn't agree
with that. Right. And they put her on leave. Yeah. So,
I mean, you've experienced this, you know. Oh, yes. And
coming up in my media career, until COVID... not once
(45:49):
did I ever hear of anybody being told, hey, you
can't talk about that.
Speaker 3 (45:53):
I know.
Speaker 1 (45:54):
I know.
Speaker 4 (45:54):
And by the way... Because, I mean, you could get
fired for it.
Speaker 7 (45:59):
I've worked for companies that had no problem telling you,
whether it's Trump or COVID or elections, you can't talk
about that. You can't talk about that. And it's like, seriously, really,
we can't talk about that. And again, the threats of
lawsuits and all this kind of stuff. They were weaponizing
the law to try to keep us from having conversations
(46:22):
we needed to have. But instead of standing up for
free speech, these companies chose to cave and, and then
come down on us saying, Oh, you can't talk about that.
That's what Maria Bartiromo, what allegedly did. And Peter Navarro
has come out and said that, that he was the
one who received this text and, She wanted to talk
(46:45):
about the president getting in front of the country and saying, hey,
here's what the intelligence community revealed about China's election interference
in 2020. Go look at what the intelligence community, the CIA,
the FBI was putting out. Here are the documents. She
wanted to look at the documents and air the story.
And they spiked it over at Fox. They spiked it.
(47:06):
And so she sent a screen capture to Pino Navarro, allegedly,
I have to put this out there because A lot
of these people reporting this, Sean, are left-wing sites, right?
So they could be lying. But Navarro coming out and
giving credence to this does make me tend to believe
that It's true. But again, I haven't heard him say it.
So until I hear him say it, it still could
(47:28):
be conjecture or something that's online that isn't verified. So
I have to put the caveat there. But so he
gets it. He takes it to the White House, says
to Trump, hey, check this out. This is what the
Karl Rove Never Trump Network is saying about your press
conference where you you your national address, where you laid
all this out and they don't want to look into
(47:50):
it any further.
Speaker 4 (47:52):
Right.
Speaker 7 (47:53):
And so. For that, she was either on leave or
laid off. Of course, Fox said that they parted ways
with Maria Bartiromo. So I don't think she's on leave.
They they they said they parted ways with her. So
they put that out on a statement. They didn't say
she was fired. They just said she's no longer working there. Right.
Speaker 4 (48:14):
Right.
Speaker 7 (48:14):
So this is all going to come out because they
can't now. Now nobody's incentivized to keep it under wraps.
But the White House has this document. You know, and
what is motivating Trump? If that document does exist, if
that email does exist, what is motivating President Trump to
keep it under wraps?
Speaker 4 (48:34):
Is there anything? No, no, I wouldn't think so.
Speaker 7 (48:38):
I mean, and would you want to know?
Speaker 5 (48:41):
Sure.
Speaker 4 (48:41):
Yes, absolutely. But no, there's nothing to keep it under wraps.
Other than if he wants, you know, some he doesn't
want Fox to turn into CNN and start trashing them
more than they already do.
Speaker 7 (48:55):
I got news for you. They're already there. And as
a matter of fact, it was CNN that exposed James
Tallarico and his hatred of the oil industry and his
hatred of capitalism. It wasn't Fox that did it. Jackie
Heinrich had Ken Paxton on. They were interested because of
Karl Rove's influence and Paul Ryan's influence in ambushing Ken
(49:18):
Paxton rather than looking up what the socialist and the
Marxist James Tallarico is all about. It took CNN to
expose James Tallarico. I mean, what universe did I did
I wake up in today? Right.
Speaker 3 (49:33):
Craziness.
Speaker 7 (49:35):
By the way, there's spending coming in for Paxton. Lots
of it.
Speaker 4 (49:40):
Yeah, I saw that. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (49:42):
I mean, the spending is right on par now with
what James Tallarico has. I mean, almost overnight. These are
all super PACs. The president, the MAGA PAC, put in
$ 10 million just by themselves. I'm hearing Elon Musk put
in $ 15 million.
Speaker 3 (49:59):
Fifteen.
Speaker 4 (50:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (50:01):
Overnight. Boom. And then I'm also, I can't confirm it yet,
but I'm hearing through the back door that the Senate
Republicans are finally feeling the pressure and they're going to
pony up some money to one of these PACs. I'm hearing,
I haven't seen the numbers yet. We know they were
willing to spend a hundred million dollars to defeat the conservative.
(50:23):
We still don't know how much they're going to just
to spend to defeat the Marxist, but we'll see. We'll see.
But you know, back to, back to the Fox thing.
I mean, now that this stuff is out there, what
motivation does the white house, if, if, If Fox is
already setting an agenda post-Trump, right, and they want to,
(50:44):
they're not going to comment or they're not going to
investigate the documentation that he released by the intelligence community,
by our own CIA, John Radcliffe, former Republican congressman from Texas.
He puts all this information out and Fox says, no,
we don't want to cover it. We're not going to
cover it. What? what is motivating the president to not publish,
(51:09):
to put out on his true social page that email?
Is there anything, Scott?
Speaker 4 (51:16):
No, nothing holding him back. I hope he does.
Speaker 7 (51:20):
So I don't know that the guys that did this
over at Fox really thought this through. I really don't.
Speaker 4 (51:28):
Yeah, yeah. I don't think so either.
Speaker 7 (51:30):
So, and Maria Bartiromo said, Her attorney has come out
with a statement saying she was not fired and lawyers
are engaged. It's like, oh, gosh, there's. So you spiked
a story about election integrity, not wanting to get sued
again by the the dominions of the world and the
(51:51):
smartmatics of the world. You know that Fox settled a
lot of those cases and it cost him a pretty penny.
Speaker 4 (51:57):
Right.
Speaker 7 (51:58):
So you you did that trying to avoid a lawsuit.
And now you're going to be. in a lawsuit with
Maria Bartiromo, who, by the way, is beloved by the
conservative movement and this president over something the conservative movement
has been blasting every media outlet, not just conservative media,
every media outlet for not having serious conversations about election integrity.
Speaker 4 (52:22):
Right.
Speaker 7 (52:23):
So.
Speaker 4 (52:25):
I mean.
Speaker 7 (52:26):
In a way, I got a feel for Fox. If
this is all as reported, you got to feel for
them because they were damned if they did and damned
if they didn't. But at the same time. Go with
what you know, go with the truth and the president
and you could have done a story that said President
Trump released these documents. Here's what they said. Let Maria
do it. Here's what they said. It's not like here's
(52:48):
the document. Here's what the intelligence community said. What would
have been wrong with that? who was going to sue
you over that?
Speaker 5 (52:57):
Right.
Speaker 4 (52:59):
Right.
Speaker 7 (53:00):
And it, it just, to me, it was a reflexive,
we hate Trump move from some of the higher ups
at Fox. If this is as reported, I have to
stress that because a lot of these sources are all
left wingers. So I don't know, Sean, but it, it
(53:21):
really did, and that's why I'm so happy to be,
you know, the Salcedo Storm podcast, so happy to be
working at Torch Radio, and I was happy to be
working at my previous station, KSEV, in Houston. I never,
ever got from them, like you said, I was never told,
don't say that.
Speaker 4 (53:40):
Yeah, because I think that's a misconception of a lot
of people who listen to talk radio, is that, you know,
management tells you you can't Talk about that. Or management
tells you, you must talk about that. Never, ever have
I ever heard of management getting involved like that. People
just think that, you know, you guys, you talk show
(54:02):
hosts are robots, but never before COVID. And Uber woke
company that owned us at the time, or still does.
Speaker 7 (54:14):
Still does.
Speaker 4 (54:15):
Not us anymore, but owned the station at the time.
Speaker 7 (54:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (54:20):
Um, yeah, just flat out said, you can't talk about
that or you will be fired. Now, before that, obviously
you could, you know, if you said something on the
air that wasn't right, wasn't true, wasn't whatever, you'd probably
get either hotlined or, uh, you know, pulled into the
(54:41):
PD's office after your shift. And if it was bad enough, you,
get fired. Well, you know, that's, that's the reasonable way
to go about things, but to come right out in
a meeting and say, you can't talk about this. Never
heard of it before in my career.
Speaker 7 (54:56):
Never have. And it was China virus. It was, it
was president Trump and it was the election. And I
had never experienced more censorship in my career than in this,
than in this time period from, from various companies who
the public probably, uh, Trusted. You know, I, our, our
(55:16):
mutual friend, Tyler Cox, the great Tyler Cox, um, former
program director. He did tell me what folks, this, this is,
this is the extent to which my voice was, was stifled.
And you're going to understand why when I say it
now on the, on the podcast, not, not a damn bit.
It doesn't make a difference. But when I was on
(55:39):
the air, I called somebody a douchebag. Which is, by
the way, which was common vernacular for Gen X back
in my day. But I'll never forget this. Tyler, who
I love and respect, and I probably shouldn't have said it,
but he came in during the shift, which usually program
directors won't do that, but he felt so strongly. He said, hey,
(56:02):
I just heard you call so-and-so a douchebag. He goes,
I never want to hear that word again on my
radio station. And I said, You got it, sir. No problem, sir.
Speaker 4 (56:12):
Well, that's not censorship. That's just, you know.
Speaker 7 (56:15):
Again, that's as close as it ever came.
Speaker 4 (56:17):
Yeah, right, right.
Speaker 7 (56:18):
To telling me I couldn't say something.
Speaker 4 (56:20):
Well, I've told you the story of the one time
we- That was.
Speaker 7 (56:22):
Standards, by the way. That wasn't censorship. That was broadcast standards,
which I completely support.
Speaker 4 (56:28):
The one time we, quote unquote, got in trouble for
one of our comedy bits, which we never did. Now,
speaking of Tyler, he- He never really cared for them
that much. He just never really thought they were that funny.
Speaker 7 (56:42):
I loved them.
Speaker 4 (56:43):
Yeah, I did too. But anyway, it was a different
program director than him. And we did a bit. We
did the spoof of a character. We did a character
called Jackie Stewart. It was a spoof of the real
Scottish F1 driver.
Speaker 7 (57:01):
Jackie Stewart.
Speaker 4 (57:03):
Jackie Stewart. And anyway. So we were doing a bit
on that, and it was about NASCAR coming to Texas.
And he mentioned something about Dick Trickle, who is a
real NASCAR driver.
Speaker 7 (57:21):
He's a real NASCAR driver, yeah.
Speaker 4 (57:22):
Yeah, real name. And so we get called in after
that going, I don't appreciate this Dick Trickle. stuff that's
just over the top and we're all looking at him
like what are you a moron and we had to
bring up the website you know look here's dick trickle
but that's the only time that's.
Speaker 7 (57:42):
An unfortunate name yes it sounds like a venereal disease yeah.
Speaker 4 (57:48):
You know what oh yeah i'm sure you you got
to grow up you know tough or fast with a
name like exactly he was fast enough to get a
nascar but.
Speaker 7 (58:00):
Well let me since you brought this up folks this
this is a throwback because this happened during the time
in question this is a throwback to the way radio
used to be writ large and why I'm so happy
about being a part of torch because it it is
going to be what radio used to be and it's
(58:22):
not anymore because of the corporate ownership of a lot
of the radio stations out there but I just want
to And Sean's going to love this bit. And this
is what made radio fun. Listen to this.
Speaker 3 (58:34):
No, it is snacking bacon. Snacking bacon. Yes. I used
to date a girl named Dolores snacking bacon.
Speaker 4 (58:43):
Yeah. German girl.
Speaker 1 (58:45):
They started selling snacking bacon. It is eight half strips
served in a sleeve. It's got sweet black pepper seasoning.
And you can take it on the go.
Speaker 7 (58:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (58:58):
Big Thick Bacon?
Speaker 3 (59:00):
That's becoming a thing now.
Speaker 4 (59:02):
Yes. Big Thick Bacon.
Speaker 1 (59:04):
It's also featured on their sweet black pepper bacon breakfast sandwich.
Speaker 3 (59:10):
Leave it alone.
Speaker 1 (59:11):
Duncan made other announcements Wednesday, including Irish cream-flavored coffee.
Speaker 7 (59:16):
You're not going to outlive it.
Speaker 4 (59:17):
Go ahead and laugh. I know.
Speaker 1 (59:19):
And then the flavor also can be added to hot, iced,
and frozen coffees.
Speaker 3 (59:26):
Trouble with that one is you can't highlight it and
play it back.
Speaker 7 (59:29):
No, stop.
Speaker 3 (59:29):
So, Stuby, you can't even go there.
Speaker 1 (59:31):
So, it is snack and bacon available at restaurants starting today.
Speaker 3 (59:35):
But I want so many emails on your slip up there.
Can we talk about the trending story? No, I'm bringing
that out to the forefront.
Speaker 4 (59:42):
No, we need it. No, we never do.
Speaker 7 (59:45):
See, what you all didn't understand is that Hal J
was the guy, and Hal J would– Oftentimes, you know,
stick his foot in his mouth and he'd say something
that was wrong. And, of course, Brian Estridge, who you
guys heard, the voice of the Horned Frogs, TCU Horned Frogs,
he would always tease Hal over saying, making the mistake.
(01:00:09):
And they would just relentlessly hammer Hal. And then this time,
this time it was Brian who made the mistake.
Speaker 4 (01:00:15):
Rarely did stuff like that.
Speaker 7 (01:00:17):
Oh, he is the consummate broadcast professional.
Speaker 4 (01:00:21):
And then Stuby in the background, who was our voice guy,
and he would put together comedy bits. He and I
would write. We wrote a ton of them. And then
parody songs, that kind of stuff that we wrote. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:00:34):
I understand why you're so nostalgic about it, folks. And
Sean is. But look, folks, this is very, very real,
the corporatization of media. It's not been good for media.
It's not been good for truth. It's not been good
for facts. And, you know, decisions are being made about
what kind of information you get and what kind of
(01:00:56):
information you don't. It's not American, and it's happening. And
I think Maria Bartiromo, I mean, hell, I mean, you
saw what happened with Tucker. You saw what happened with
Bill O'Reilly. You're seeing what's happening with Maria. It's just
happening too often. And I think a lot of Americans...
are noticing, I'm just wondering how long it takes them
(01:01:19):
to wake up, Sean, really.
Speaker 4 (01:01:22):
When six companies own almost 95% of media, it's never
going to benefit society.
Speaker 6 (01:01:31):
True enough.
Speaker 4 (01:01:32):
It's because it's going to get pared down. And I
don't care if you listen for entertainment or news or whatever,
there's a really good chance that the jock you're listening to,
if you're listening to music, isn't anywhere close to your town.
And he's doing probably 10 other radio stations.
Speaker 5 (01:01:49):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (01:01:50):
And as far as the news goes, if there's a
local news department, like even in Dallas at the station
we used to work for, I think the news department
is three people in a top five market at a
top rated radio station where, you know, I just always
(01:02:13):
think back and it wasn't always like that. I mean, no, Before,
you know, like when Disney owned us and stuff, it was,
that newsroom was full and everybody was out every day hustling,
out on the street getting stories, coming back and editing them. And,
you know, then you had your news anchors. Now the
(01:02:34):
news anchor is also the reporter and.
Producer, and all that.
Speaker 7 (01:02:40):
So it's just crazy.
Speaker 4 (01:02:42):
And they don't get any more money for each job
they acquire.
Speaker 7 (01:02:45):
No. And it's a symptom of, you know what? Who
needs accurate news anyway? We'll tell you what the news is.
Just go to AP. They'll tell you what the news is.
That's all you need to know. And there will be
no investigative journalism. There will be no tailoring specific coverage
to your geographic area. We'll just tell you what you
need to know. It's a very corporate mindset attitude and
(01:03:09):
it doesn't respect truth it doesn't respect facts and it
doesn't respect the listener which is what you're going to
get in spades from the salcedo storm podcast which is
we respect you folks we try to get you the
the best information we possibly can and with some commentary
and some giggles and and i think it's going to
be the same with torch radio so or torch audio
(01:03:31):
whatever they're whatever they'll be calling it um because i
i guess there's a There's a name change coming. I'm
not exactly sure what it's going to be, but we
will see when it happens. Buddy, it is Labor Day weekend. Yeah.
And I hope you have a good one. And I'm
glad you got a chance to see the grandbabies. That's
what's really important.
Speaker 4 (01:03:50):
Oh, yeah. It was a good time. Yeah. Yeah. Needed that.
It needed it for my soul. So it was good.
Speaker 7 (01:03:57):
Hey, have a great rest of your weekend. I'll talk
to you in the morning show.
Speaker 4 (01:03:59):
All right. Peace.
Speaker 7 (01:04:01):
Peace. That right there puts a wrap on this Salcedo
Storm podcast. Hope you have a great Labor Day, kids.
And remember this until the next time we visit. A
society's worth isn't measured by how much power is stolen
by government. A society's worth is measured by how much
power is reserved for you and me. We, the people.
Keep fighting to save your country out there, my friends,
because it's worth it.
