Proverbs, chapter eight. In thischapter, wisdom speaks, Understanding is also
sharing her insight, does not Wisdomcall out, does not Understanding raise her
voice. At the highest point alongthe way, where the path meet,
she takes her stand beside the gateleading into the city. At the entrance,

(00:26):
she cries out loud to you,o people, I call out.
I raise my voice to all mankind. You who are simple, gain prudence,
You who are foolish, set yourhearts on it. Listen. I
have trustworthy things to say. Iopen my lips to speak what is right.

(00:49):
My mouth speaks what is true.For my lips detest wickedness. All
the words of my mouth are just. None of them is crooked or perverse
to the discerning. All of themare right. They are upright to those
who have found knowledge, choose myinstruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than

choice of gold. Imagine if wisdomspoke, this is what wisdom would say.
Side note, for Wisdom is moreprecious than rubies, and nothing you
desire can compare with her. Now, I imagine, imagine everything in this
world that you desire, everything inthis world that is precious. Wisdom is

more precious than any of those things. I wisdom, dwell together with prudence.
I possess knowledge and discretion. Tofear the Lord is to hate evil.
I hate pride and arrogance, evilbehavior and perverse speech. Counsel and

(02:06):
sound judgment are mine. I haveinsight. I have power by me.
Kings reign and rulers issue decrees thatare just by me. Princess govern and
nobles all who rule on earth.I love those who love me, and
those who seek me will find mewith me of riches and honor, enduring

(02:30):
wealth and prosperity. My fruit isbetter than fine gold. What I yield
surpasses choice of silver. I walkin a way of righteousness, along the
path of justice, bestowing a richinheritance on those who love me, and
making their treasures fool. Just listeningto it, right, just listening to

the words that wisdom speaks. Theyare full of it. Inside, they're
full of treasure. The Lord broughtme forth as the first of his works,
before his deeds of old. Iwas formed long ages ago, at
the very beginning when the world cameto be, when there were no watery

(03:20):
depths. I was giving birth whenthere were no springs overflowing with water.
Before the mountains were settled in placebefore the hills. I was giving birth,
before he made the world or itsfields, or any of the dust
of the earth. I was therewhen he set the heavens in place,

(03:40):
when he marked out the horizon onthe face of the deep, when he
established the clouds above and fixed securelythe fountains of the deep, when he
gave the seeds boundary so the waterswould not overstep his command, and when
he marked out the foundations of theearth. Then I constantly at his side.

(04:05):
I was filled with delight, dayafter day, rejoicing always in his
presence, rejoicing in his whole world, and delighting in mankind. Wisdom speaks.
Now, then my children, listento me. Blessed are those who

keep my ways. Listen to myinstruction, and be wise, do not
disregard it. Blessed are those wholisten to me, watching daily at my
doors, waiting at my doorway.For those who find me find life and
receive favor from the Lord. Butthose who fail to find me harm themselves.

(04:47):
All who hate me love death.This is wisdom speaking. Wisdom offer
so much inside, so much indepth mysteries, and so she reveals these

(05:13):
things to you, to you andI as we are reading the scripture and
today. If you don't have wisdom, ask for it. Ask for wisdom
and God will give it to you. If you don't have understanding, ask
for understanding and God will give itto you. But you must turn away
from your wickedness. You must turnaway from foolishness. You must turn away

(05:36):
from doing what was evil and turnto doing that which is right. There's
only one path, wisdom or foolishness. Which one will you choose? Today?
