(00:00):
Welcome to Veronica Live. And weare here with Daniel Boltz and he is
the author of America's Freedom Megaphone,The Case for Building the Statue of Enduring
Freedom. Welcome Daniel to Veronica Live. Well, thank you for having me
Veronica and co host John. Pleasureto be with you, especially from the
(00:21):
one of my favorite states, theFlorida Gulf Coast. That's right, you're
talking to folks in Freedom, Floridathis morning. But tell us about your
background first, Daniel, who youare and what you've been up to the
last few years. Well, let'ssee. Yeah, I'm a Michigan native
raised in Marquette, Michigan, whichis on the shores of Lake Superior and
(00:46):
what's called the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. My dad's a forester. My mother
was in theater and was an educatorand a musician. I yeah, let's
see, I went into the art. I'm a third jo generation Army veteran.
I went in to the army atthe end of the Vietnam War and
(01:06):
was stationed with NATO on the Czechborder there in southern Germany. I put
twelve years in the military and metmy wife, Ingride. She's from Eastern
Canada and we've been married now forit coming up about forty five years.
We were four daughters at all teamin their own families. Oh, I
(01:30):
love it. And fast forward. You've written this interesting book, America's Freedom
megaphone, the case for building theStatue of Enduring Freedom, and you are
on a mission and you know itwas funny. I hadn't thought about it,
but the West Coast does not havea statue of Liberty and that's like
(01:52):
your driving mission now in life isto come up and build this statue.
Well, yes, absolutely, andwe believe that the time is right to
build such a historic monument. We'vebeen involved in this project silent lea since
twenty seventeen, and only in thelast few months have we kind of started
(02:14):
anyway to go public with the publicationof my book. Are publicists, you
know, aj Rice and his publiusdot com team madly getting me interviews around
the country. So we're slowly introducingthe monument project that way, and there'll
be some other ways that we'll bedoing that as the budget allows. But
(02:35):
yeah, East Coast Statue of Liberty, you know, founding principal liberty through
of course the rule of law andour second founding principal freedom through the you
know, through the pursuit of happiness. We believe that America was founded on
these two principles, liberty and freedom, and that it's now time and appropriate
(03:01):
to have the second principle, freedomrepresented by a like monument, same height,
three hundred and five feet tall, located on the West coast. And
we can tell you more about thedetails of the monument itself as we go
along. And why do you thinkwe've never had anything on the West coast?
(03:22):
Because I was thinking about Iluton,Vegas for four years, and you
know it was the Parisifel Tower.Vegas was like the monument, you know,
or the Luxore. We just Idon't know. We have these stratospheres
in Seattle and Vegas, we havenothing. Why do you think that is?
And it takes you to like pushthis forward? Well, wasn't it
wasn't that Victor Hugo who said thatthere's nothing more powerful than an idea whose
(03:46):
time has come. And I believethat's why it hasn't happened to this point.
But I do believe also that thetimes that we are in nowman,
that we we American citizens build thismonument, and there it will be a
rallying cry. It will be asymbol to unite, you know, freedom
(04:10):
loving American patriots from shore to sea, from sea to shining seat to collectively
again through a megaphone. It's youknow what the title of my book is,
through a freedom megaphone, yell loudand clear, dignified, but still
nonetheless yelling that America was born free. Well, you know the problem is
(04:32):
you're wanting to build it on theleft coast. So between California, Oregon,
and Washington, I can't imagine anyof those states giving you a favorable
environmental report or anything else. Theyare so anti freedom. Yeah, you
know, collectively and I use thatword on purpose, you know, because
(04:55):
you would almost think they would prefera statue of a you know, slave
with the all in chain or something, you know, as maybe AOC John
AOC well John, you know you'reright. That is a perception, and
to some degree that is a currentreality in the United States, that the
(05:15):
left coast isn't back the left coast, and they've earned that title. You
know, do be as though it'dbe. However, we do believe that
nonetheless there are many millions of commonsense patriots, and there are even many
of them on the West Coast thatwill support the building of this monument.
(05:39):
And the thing is, yes,the location, we can explain why why
we're selecting the West coast, butthe point is that this monument, historical
in nature, will be for andis for the United States collectively. It
is not for any one particular stateas it were. I mean, yeah,
Lady Liberty is in New York andtheir reasons why you know, she
(05:59):
was built there, and the brotherFreedom will be built on the West Coast,
and there are reasons for that. But really the big picture, in
one hundred years from now, whenall three of us have long since passed
on and we're wandering around in heavensomewhere, the monument, both of these
monuments will be standing true to declaretheir message and will have nothing to do
(06:21):
with the particular states that they arein or the political you know, realities
of their particular state and location.Well, it was it was funny because
you know, you have a websiteFreedom Alliance llc dot com, and you
know, I was poking around andyou have a bunch of like the plan
(06:44):
and so you know, there's kiosksfor kids and things. And then I
was thinking about it. I waslike, wow, it's so true.
We need something on the West coastbecause I know when my daughter was a
senior, you know, they wentto New York and that's from Florida.
But to get to New York fromCalifornia, that's a hall. So I
love the component of rallying, youknow, our future freedom fighters at a
(07:08):
young age and having a pilgrimage spoton the West coast. So where do
you think this would be? Andlike what's the cost? You know,
those are some questions that I hadfor you as well. Sure thing,
Veronica and John, Let's see acouple things. Let me see first of
(07:29):
all, because the statue of EndingFreedom will there's a lot of symbolism to
be involved here, and we aredoing our best to respect and honored Lady
Liberty, you know, and howshe was built, the artistic design which
is Classic Realism, etc. Etc. The same height, all of that
(07:49):
is very important for basically her kidbrother brother Freedom to be built. And
so yes, the Statue of EndingFreedom will be the same height, three
hundred and five feet above ground. The location we thought, we think is
a good symbolism analogy to to lookat the north latitude. So, Lady
(08:11):
Liberty sits at approximately forty degrees northlatitude. When you swing that over to
the west coast, that puts youinto northern cal and southern Oregon. We
have identified two cities in the northernCalifornia small towns. Although that's fine,
but two small towns both have bayswhich would be good for such a monument.
(08:33):
So in as far as cost, well, we have to fund our
phase one right now and mentioned onour website. When those funds are secured,
then we will be able to drilldown and get final costs on building
the monument and building the visitor center, and then of course funding the educational
outreach program that is the real missionof the monument. And your listeners would
(08:56):
like to hear this, so letme just mention this. My book introduces
a simple solution to our nation's currentsickness to inspire freedom by inspiring our children
through educational outreach. It's a propagandizedgovernment educational system that got us into the
(09:16):
mess that we are in today.Inspiring our children forward to a love of
freedom and a love of God isthe solution. Truth will prevail and evil
will fail. So there's a littlebit about what we're all about. No,
I love it. I love it. And how's the reception been on
this? I mean, you knownow that my light bulb's gone off,
(09:39):
and I think the West Coast weneed the statue asap because freedom is a
problem. Well that's we needed asap. And John and Veronica, that's real
simple. Just cut us a checkfor several hundred million and we'll make sure
that it's built. That sick body. Well, anyways, No, I'm
(10:03):
excited about this. And I knowin your book you talk a lot about
you know, America's founding principles andfreedom and how the media lies and so
so tell me because we just hadthe State of the Union Thursday night,
and I have I joke with Johna lot. I walk around with an
airstick bag. So I had mylittle Veronica live airstick bag next to me
(10:26):
and it was awful. And heyelled at us. And I've heard this,
you know, people have been talkingabout this analogy. It was like
Grandpa's on the yard and in thegrass yelling at you to get off the
grass. And and you know,I was like, wow, that that's
kind of what it was. Andit was so divisive, So I wanted
your thoughts as a conservative liberty fighter. Well, you know, Veronica and
(10:52):
John, I'm looking right now.I took I watched it. I watched
it diligently. I have four pagesof notes from the State of the Union
address, and I have two columns. One who's called lies. The other
column is called truths. And Itotaled up my lies. That was the
big column twenty four. I identifiedtwenty four specific lies that President Biden,
(11:16):
you know, laid on us andI but I do have in fairness,
I identify two truths. Also twoof them. Oh to town start there.
Oh my god, you know, just just it's just embarrassed, in
my opinion, to answer your question, it's embarrassing. It's embarrassing to have
(11:37):
an individual like that leading our country. Oh I say. I often say
to my friends, you know,I would pay I would pay whatever I
have to sit to have to besat down in a room with George Washington,
Abraham Lincoln, uh, you know, Barack Obama and in this case
now Joe Biden. Have those fourindividuals sit in a room, close the
(12:01):
door, lock the door, andhave it might and have those four go
at it as it were, regardingtheir vision for America, what they've done,
what they're doing, and what theyintend to do. I would love
to have that conversation. Well,I agree with you. One of the
funny takeaways was I love this center. Marco Rubio said that the State of
(12:22):
the Union was a proof of lifethat Biden's alive because they obviously they gave
him adderall or something. I waslike, I need some of that to
clean my house, you know. But anyways, it was so crazy.
Yes, yes it was, andit's good. I suppose that we can
(12:45):
chuckle about that and find some degreeof humor. And if you dig down
much deeper than that, it justproduces a lot of sadness. It does,
it does. What do you danywhat do you think has happened to
patriotism in this country? It seemsto be out of style in particularly in
the academic quarter. You know.I mean, most people you know appreciate
(13:05):
the military, and I'm just aboutregular every day, you know, the
deplorable says as Hillary Clinton called him, you know, but the academics just
don't. They seem to hate thecountry for some reason. Well, and
John, you hit the nail onthe head for some reason. That's another
(13:26):
pitching my book. That's another reasonfor you two and your millions of listeners
to reach out to Amazon and buymy book. But because I talked about
answering your question for some reason, every one of the chapters in my book
discusses those reasons. Then of coursewe're providing a positive, uplifting solution that
(13:48):
is to build you know, thishistoric monument. But let me okay,
so I've said that, but nowJohn, specifically, let me answer your
question, and I'm reading out ofmy book, if that's okay. We
know that something is wrong in America. Our freedoms have not been adequately studied
in public education for at least thelast sixty years. The very definitions of
(14:13):
America's once common vocabulary, such asfreedom, democracy, equality of opportunity,
responsibility, god, and the balanceof power have been hijacked and politicized in
a way that creates and this isthe key, John, your answer,
(14:33):
and that in a way that createsideologues rather than citizens. This loss of
knowledge and critical thought is testing thelimits of our republic. And so John,
there's a long answer, but it'sstill succinct. It's all about our
education of our children, and inthe propagandidisement of our children, creating ideologues
(14:58):
instead of critical thinking intelligence citizens. So that's my answer to your question,
Josh Okay, So, so doyou think just I think you and I
are about the same age. Igrew up in Williamsburg, Virginia in the
late sixties, and you know, seventy seventy one kind of time frame,
and so my idea of freedom inAmerica, you know, I got I
(15:18):
got a really good early exposure tohistory and and why why the war started,
the Revolutionary War started, what theprinciples were, the people that were
involved, and and it you know, and you and you you juxtapose that
with the sixties radicals, you know, the protest movement, the anti Vietnam
(15:41):
War movement, and that seems tobe what, what did they go into
academia and destroy history, you know, in order to move I don't know
if consciously I'm presuming this as aconscious movement to move their their ideology ahead.
You know what, when I wasin high school, you know,
we had to take a course calledCommunism versus Americanism that taught us, you
(16:04):
know what communism was all about. But that's gone away, that's at a
phase. And you may be awareof Florida. The Florida legislature is bringing
back that course and there's a hugedebate over it. Well, you're exactly
right, John. Again. Outof my book, Chapter two talks a
(16:25):
lot about the educational outreach program ofthe Statue of Them During Freedom, we
talk about how the infiltration of ourAmerican government schools began in the sixties,
not only how it began, butwhy it began, which is probably more
important to understand why it began andwhy it continues today. The objective of
(16:48):
the social engineering liberals, who nowyou know, are advocating social excuse me,
democratic socialism for our form of governmentinstead of a republic. They have
specifically infiltrated our educational system knowing thatover time that over time those individuals will
(17:11):
be podder, to be propagandized andwill not be free thinking. And that's
where we're at today. That's wherewe're at today, and that's what we
are going to counter with the buildingof this monument and our educational outreach program.
So do you feel in John andI talk about this a lot.
I personally feel that our society islacking God and faith and family, and
(17:36):
that's one of the reasons that we'velost freedom because we don't have you know,
these other i'd say pillars in yourlife. So what are your thoughts
on that, Daniel, Absolutely, that is one of the key pillars again
of our educational outreach program to reinstatea respect for God and his role in
(17:56):
the formation of America, for instance. And so the phrase that the three
of us and your listeners are awareof and that is American exceptionalism. That's
that term has a specific definition, and it has been bastardized, if I
can use that term on your radio. It has been changed, it has
(18:19):
been modified, it has been vilifiedto not to to not mean what it
actually means. And so we gointo that completely and yes there, but
there. The point is, thereare reasons why the respect for God has
been taken out of the schools andnot out of our country, as it
were, out of the public square. There's a reason for that, and
(18:41):
it all has to do with theunderpinnings of socialism and communism and and everybody
that is involved on that side wantingto do what yes right fundamentally transform America,
right, very true. And thenthe other question and is we're just
out of control our border with allof these illegals. And you know,
(19:06):
my mother was a legal immigrant. My father and mother in law were both
legal immigrants, but they assimilated, and you know, I just feel like
we're losing our country and it's notfeeling like America with what's going down.
So how do you feel, Yeah, Veronica, on the topic of immigrants,
(19:29):
Chapter three. What we do inchapter three of my book is it's
called Warning Voices from Immigrants. Wetalk about the history of immigration in the
United States. But then most importantlyon that chapter, we quote many,
I don't know, maybe it's twentyfive or thirty immigrants of all different ages,
old people and young teenagers and collegestudents who have legally immigrated to the
(19:56):
United States from Third world countries, from countries the socialism was, you know,
the form of government or communism, maniac dictators, et cetera, et
cetera. So we honor immigrants,We love them, and we love them
when they come in to assimilate, basically to become an American, to embrace
(20:17):
our culture while still keeping their ownculture alive, and honoring that but also
equally important to assimilate into the Americanculture. And so anyway, we discussed
the whole topic of immigration, uhquite a bit in my book in chapter
three. Okay, well your bookis. It's available on Amazon and it's
(20:38):
got a two five star reviews. So, uh, you know, is
there any any anything? What? How do people get involved? I mean,
is there is this something you're doingon your own? Are you're looking
for people to come come join jointhe team, the Freedom team? Are
(20:59):
you? Oh, the Freedom Movement? Yeah, they can join them.
The easiest way John to do thatis to go to our website, Freedom
Alliance LLC dot com. There they'llget the introduction overview of the book and
they can order it directly there throughAmazon. But more importantly, they'll also
be able to get an overview ofthe of the project of the monument.
(21:19):
They'll be able to see images andour sculpture of the monument as it's developed
right now with our sculptors in Chicagoand their studios, so they'll be able
to see it, they'll be ableto understand the design, the elements they're
in brother Freedom, et cetera,et cetera. And yeah, they can
join as well and help us outthat way. So we're just starting.
(21:42):
I mean, there it is.You know, I'm a regular citizen.
I don't have ten million dollars inthe bank. So we're doing the best
we can with what we have. And eventually, if the monument's meant to
be, it will happen, andwe have plans for that. Don't get
me wrong. We have very specificplans to move this project forward, and
(22:02):
we're about that as quickly as wecan. So Freedom Alliance for your listeners,
Freedom Alliance llc dot com. AndI guess you should. I mean,
aren't you fully retired now, relaxing, but you have this in your
heart. So what is inspiring youto get this done quickly for the world.
(22:23):
Well, yeah, there you go. I guess it's something I believe
in. And I have been leavedin this project, in this topic,
more specifically the topic, you know, since the early twenties when I wrote
that essay that's on our website aboutpreservation of America. So I've been at
this in my mind for many, many years. And You're right, I'm
(22:47):
retired now and this is kind ofwhat I'm doing. And my wife helps
me and supports me as she can, so there it is. Well,
we've been joined on Veronica Live withDaniel Bolt. He's the author of the
book America's Freedom Megaphone and he's tryingto build this wonderful statue on the West
(23:07):
Coast and you can find more infoon Amazon, you can buy the book,
and you can go to Freedom ALLIANCELLCdot com. And Daniel has been
such a pleasure. We love hostingfreedom fighters out there that are fighting for
our country. Thanks Veronica and John, it's been a pleasure. And perhaps
we can perhaps we can do thisagain. Excellent, would love that and
(23:29):
we'll be right back on Froonica Live.
