Speaker 2 (00:27):
Hi everyone, welcome to your astrological Energy. I'm your host,
Karma Turner's Shot and we are here to talk about
the astrological energies affecting us in the world for this
week February eight. And so I am excited to have
a fellow astrologer and author join me today, Tracy Quinnlan,

(00:48):
and she is here to chat with me about the
astrological energies. And then at the second half of the show,
she's going to share her new book with us and
we're going to talk about astrology and love her new books.
So welcome Tracy.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Hi Carman, thank you so much for having me.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Yes, yes, so you know we got you know, I
always kind of go over the basics with the listeners.
You know about where is the moon this week? You
know how the moon changes signs every two to three days,
and some of the energies affecting us at the beginning
of the week. I know we have you know, Mercury
enters Pisces, and you know Mercury the plant communication, the

(01:29):
planet of our mind. How we're thinking it can make
us a little more dreamy. I think when it goes
into Pisces. What's your vibe about that energy at the
beginning of the week and some things you see.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
Well, I mean, the everybody needs to get comfortable with
the mercury and Pisces because that's where it's going to
retrograde for a long time.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
So we're kind of stuck with that for a little bit.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
Yes, yeah, that, I mean, we open the week with
Venus where you're in Us because that's the interesting part
about the month is that because Uranus is at the
end of Taurus, all of these Aquarius planets have to
say goodbye to Uranus and Taurus as they move into Pisces.
Oh man, it's a big energy that we start out with, right, Yeah, how.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
How do you think? You know? For those that aren't astrologers,
you know, like guess how you know, what are some
tips we can give them for how they might be
feeling this week? You know in their lives energy wise.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
Well, anytime we have Uranus as the sort of the
crux of the story, you expect the unexpected. You know
things are going to surprise, you take you by surprise.
You can surprise yourself. Yeah, you know, Like I find
that people's inhibitions aren't quite as easy to put into
place when Uryus is part of the story.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Yeah, you know.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
And so with Venus, it's like maybe all of a
sudden you realize that something you thought you wanted you
don't want anymore, and you're willing to let that go, right,
I mean this is all happening in the middle of.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
A clip season, so yeah, yeah, no, I think.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
A lot of self honesty and reflection is going to
be a lot of the energy.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Do you see that people might if they're in a
relationship and they're not married, that they might want to
end a relationship and change and break up or.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
Well, And I mean that's a great question because venuses
can go retrograde this year, and that only happens every
two years, and that is a place where you know
people will go I'm done. So you might see the
stirrings right now with all this Uranus and Taurus right
at the end and all these conversations with uranus.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Yeah for sure, Yeah, I see that for sure.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Yeah. And you know with you know, we're not fully
into mercury retrograde yet, but we will, you know here
in a couple of weeks and we'll dive in. But
you know, with with this mercury and Pisces, you know,
to me, Pisces is such an imaginative, idealistic kind of energy.

(03:55):
I find that, you know, when mercury the mind is there.
You know, it's like rose Virgo, Pisce's polar opposite. So
it's like if you're normally pretty quick and logical and
and got a plan, you just kind of feel like
lost a little bit, like like like I don't know
where to start, and you might feel more disorganized, you know,
than usual during mercury in Pisces. And you know, this week,

(04:22):
I think it's important to tap into your emotions, you know,
your imagination, your creativity, and you know, maybe even tell
people how you feel, you know, because Pisces is a
water sign, so sharing your emotions mean, you know, expressing
your creative side as well is kind of a good
thing about it. But also be careful about fooling ourselves,

(04:43):
you know, maybe only seeing things of rose colored glasses,
or thinking only the positive about something you know, and
not seeing the the true what's really going on under
the fog, you know kind of thing.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
Yeah, well, on the other side of Pisces, when you
take it into the more like the traditional side of
it with Jupiter being in charge of it, Yeah, it's a.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
Really idealistic, but also.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
It becomes judgmental, right, so you have to kind of
be careful with maybe if you're frustrated, because there's a
lot of people who are frustrated right now.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Yes, the paces likes to maybe teach a lesson, yes, right.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
And also the other thing for everybody to keep in
mind is the empathic side of prices, So we have
to be careful with our boundaries when everything goes into.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Prices, right, absolutely, absolutely having strong boundaries. And you know
last week, you know we were sharing you know, we
had the we have full moon and we had uranus
Uranus went direct. You know, we were talking about on
the show what retrogrades do. So how do you feel,
you know, how is this new uranus direct energy influencing

(05:54):
us this week? I mean, you know, it's kind of boom.
It's it's it's back. You know, it's kind of awakening
something kind of thing.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
I feel, Okay, we take.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
The pile up of things that are about to happen.
Uranus has gone direct, but we're gonna have Jupiter go direct.
Everything is going to be in fire and air. Yes,
I think that what people need to sort of brace
themselves for is how fast things are about to go.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
I kind of feel like we're being pulled back.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
In a in a slingshot, and as soon as everything
start shifts into its new thing, we're just gonna get Wow.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
And with Urinus being so active, we don't quite know
where we're gonna land.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Wow. Yeah, it's there's a kind of an unsettled energy,
is what with a lot of a lot of things
are an aquarius. You know, it's like this uh stallium
and then then we're gonna have a really big energy
in aries you know this year as well, so I think,
you know, for those who don't know astrology, you know,

(07:00):
Uranus is a lot about awakening and causing unexpected changes.
You know, it's like it to me, it's like electricity.
It it hits out of the blue and kind of
shakes things up and then it leaves and then it's
like back again, you know, like like you think you're done,
and it's like, no, I'm gonna I'm gonna change things.
You're I feel like, you know, with Uranus energy, if

(07:24):
we've been like, you know, stuck in something during the
retrograde of it, especially because it's been a Taurus, which
is Tauruses don't typically like change. They like to do
things the same way and comfort, instability and security. And
now you's like, no, you're gonna have to change and
let go and move forward and feel uncomfortable a little bit.

(07:45):
And I think everyone is feeling that, you know, in
the world, and absolutely I think we can see it
playing out in you know, society. So you know, I
was talking about on the show before the you know,
this year when Uranis goes into Gemini for good, some
of the things in history that happened during that time

(08:07):
and you know, and we could talk a little bit
about that, you know, with was it World War two,
the this uh, you know, the American Revolution, some of
the things historically playing out in the world on TV
and on the news. It's this feeling of wow, you know,
we have people uprising, We have marches, we have all
these things going on with ice and all these political things.

(08:31):
So I think this is kind of the energy, guys
of how these planets affect us on Earth. Even if
we don't believe in astrology. If you're you know, if
you're interested, but you think it, you know, I don't
understand it. This is not accurate. I think a lot
of people are getting drawn to astrology because of what's
happening in the world too. They want to learn more.

(08:52):
I find a lot of people are wanting to learn
it now and contacting me. I don't know about you
if you feel.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
That, yeah, I mean I find that it's cyclical.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
So the bigger the changes that we're going through and
the more the uncertainty, the more people are like I
want to take control somehow, so maybe learning some kind
of a predictive tool can help me foresee how things
are going to go. So definitely definitely more people looking
in for sessions and wanting to learn for themselves too.
You mentioned the Uranus and Taurus. When it first was

(09:23):
shifting into Taurus, almost everybody who booked with me in
that first few months were fixed, So there were Tauruses,
they were Scorpios, they were Leo's and they were Aquarius,
like they had a lot of that energy in their chart,
and it's like they could feel like, oh gosh, I'm
going to get shaken out of my nice, comfortable fixed

(09:43):
place and so and panicking trying to know how to
work with it, you know. So we're definitely I wanted
to touch on where Neptune and I think we're Saturn
are right now.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
Is where they were during the Civil War. Oh wow,
why a civil war?

Speaker 4 (10:00):
Yeah, And that's been coming up for quite a while,
but now that we see what's happening in the US,
it makes sense, you know.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Yeah, they're even using those terms on the news and
stuff I've heard, Like it's like wow, like you can
see astrology playing out in the real world, and that's
you know, I would say mundane astrology know where we predict,
you know, world events and different things. There's all kinds
of different types of astrology out there. I tell the audience,

(10:29):
even though I'm more of a psychological astrologer and use
it as a tool for healing and self awareness, there
are many different things that astrology can can kind of
predict and validate, and it's really what's going on in
the world. It matches what's going on the sky because
of the That's why I say it's your astrological energy.

(10:50):
You know, astrology's energy, and it affects us whether we
believe in it or not. It is affecting us in
our lives and our mood and our body and our animals,
our pets, you know, our loved ones and so the
other big thing this week, and we can touch on
it before we take a short break, is I think Saturn,

(11:12):
you know, the planet of karma, discipline, structure, responsibility, time.
Saturn is the teacher of the zodiac. It goes it's
going to enter Aries. So it's been in Pisces. So
what shift do you see us failing energy wise with
that happening.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
It's so interesting because you know, it's spent so much
time with Neptune already in Pisces, and it's going to
come into Aries and join Neptune again. So I think
that's actually a good thing because I think if Saturn
was playing all by itself going from Pisces into Aries,
we would really feel that in terms of just that

(11:54):
what's the word I want? I think it would be
I feel aggravating, right, because Saturn is so solid and
you know structured and Aries is not, and so that is,
you know, not very uncomfortable energy.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
Because Neptune is there to kind of soften it off
a little bit.

Speaker 4 (12:11):
I don't feel like it'll be as dramatic as if
Neptune wasn't there to greet Saturn.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
You know, do you feel that too?

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Yeah, yeah, I think so. I I I've got an
Aries moon and my birth chart with Jupiter and Chiron
all stelling him in the eighth house, and so I'm
I'm like, wow, all these areas planets. I'm a little worried.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
I'm a little worried.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
About this, but I feel like, I think I feel
better physically when I think things are in areas. So
I think when Saturn and Neptune were in Pisces, a
lot of people told me they felt tired, they felt lost,
like they couldn't get motivated. And I feel like it's
going to motivate us to move forward and get things done.

(12:56):
Kind of vibe like make change and pie up near
you know, all those areas. Take action, go on your
good instinct, but be careful about being a little impulsive.
I think Saturn is like, oh, Aries, it's gonna like,
don't do that. You got to think this through, you know,
and Aries wants to act, and so we could fill
this tension absolutely, I can see that for sure.

Speaker 4 (13:17):
And Saturn can create fear around whatever sign it's in, right,
and so it'll be interesting to see what happens, because
Neptune can make things seem amazing. So you get you're
gonna have one part of the population feeling maybe a
little too brave exactly, then Neptune and Aries, and then
the other part being too afraid to take any action.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
So it's gonna be an interesting dynamic between those two. Yeah,
that makes a lot of sense. So funny, I have
an Aries Moon can junk high on as well.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Well you do, Oh, okay, we'll talk offline. I want
to hear about this.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
They're in the.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
First house for me though, so it's interesting because where
they are makes such a big difference. Yes, and so
I have a Pisces ascendant, but oh it's quite late.
So everything with the Neptune in Sadur in Pisces, it's
been very uncomfortable. And yes, I've definitely been tired, because
that's your body.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
The first house resolutely absolutely, and then but it's.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
Aries is intercepted there, so as soon as it dips
into aries, it gets a lot quieter because it's not
for those who don't know that an intercepted sign doesn't
have a house to play out its energy and to
it's stuck in a house, so they kind of don't
have any place to kind of to do any malarkey
because they're intercepted in my chart, which is boutly thank goodness,

(14:33):
but definitely fatigue. I one hundred percent agree with you.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
Yeah, a lot of people are saying that, well, let's
take a short break and we're going to come back
and talk about your new book and an astrology and
love and all this, so we'll be right back. You're
listening to your astrological energy. I'm Carmen, licensed clinical social worker,

I am excited to be here with Tracy Quinlan and
she is the author of a new book about astrologym

(16:00):
is it charting Love with Astrology with Astrology, Yeah, Garady,
Love with the strology guys. So we got about ten
minutes here and I want really for her to tell
us you know about this book and how it can
you know, help you guys as the audience, and if
you want to share some little tips about some of

(16:21):
the signs and love love to hear more about your books.
So let's start.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
I mean, oh, sorry, you go ahead.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Oh, you go ahead, go ahead.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
It was a weird journey.

Speaker 4 (16:31):
The book didn't kind of all come out at once
in my discovery of the different things that are in it,
because it's got a self reflection section on looking at Venus,
linking at Mars.

Speaker 3 (16:42):
But then it goes into the houses and the houses
in charge of love, and that was where it actually started,
is the end of the book, not the beginning of
the book. And I had a client who.

Speaker 4 (16:54):
And I have a mouth that says things faster than
my brain can stop it. So I was in a
session with a client and she was talking about having
been in this long marriage that you know, she she
should have left a lot sooner. There was no passion,
there was no romance. And I looked and there was
zero connection between the fifth and the seventh house, or
even the eighth and the fifth and seventh, and I

(17:18):
just it fell out. I suppose maybe you should have
had an affair, and then held my breath waiting like, oh,
I hope that didn't offend her.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
She was new. I didn't know how she'd feel about that,
and she but she.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
Stopped and she goes, you know, you're probably right if
I was getting that someplace else in my.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
Life, I probably would still be married.

Speaker 4 (17:35):
And it made me think about how socially there are
expectations of how relationships should go, but if you've ever
looked at a birth chart, they don't. So few follow
those rules. Just like having one career your whole life,
there are so few charts that support that, you know. Yeah,
And so the kind of the first impetus of the book,

(17:56):
it was actually an e book and it was just
on the technique of the house and not written for
necessarily astrologers. It was just written, you know, to put
out there as a fun, you know, kind of thing.
And the more I realized it, the more I realized
and seeing clients, there are these patterns where we fall
into these social expectations. And there's two things that come out.

(18:19):
Women often are not taught to look for what they want.
So in the book, I explore Venus and doing some
self reflection, and you know, what do you because Venus
is there attracting all the things we want in our life,
and she's going to do it based on whether you're
doing that intentionally or not right, And so, you know,
getting people more familiar with what do you want? And

(18:42):
why so maybe if you're not getting what you want,
we can figure out where the gap is and why
you're looking for those things. And then also Mars, how
do you go out and get it? And who's talking
and who can help them get there? And so the
point of the book was more of a getting over
patterns maybe that people are reputing that aren't helping them

(19:05):
find the kind of relationship that they want.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
I love that, I know. You know, one of the
biggest questions I get is an astrolgers about relationships. You know,
who's my best partner? When am I going to meet someone?
Or what's going on in my marriage? Right? So, no,
you're right. You know, there's so many facets in the chart.
You know, when we try to help someone with who's compatible,

(19:32):
you know what their needs are, you know, knowing what
you need. And I think the problem is a lot
of people get married young or they don't really know
their partner real well, and then you know, they realize, wow,
we really don't have a lot in common. But but
you're right. It reminds me of when I went through

(19:52):
Uranis transit in my seventh house many years ago, and
I knew what that meant for a lot of clients
I had, and I was a little worried. I'm like, wow,
you know, I don't want a divorce. I don't want
to you know, an ending or but and I knew
it also as an awakening and helps you grow. But
what I learned was that there's certain things you can
do to prevent certain things or help make it easier

(20:15):
to go through certain transits of the seventh relationship house,
or how to find meet your needs like you were
saying in other ways, so you don't have to divorce,
or you know, awaken it, or get your partner to
work on themselves too. You know, there's things to always
work on it. As a social worker, I always tell
people it's best if you can try your hardest to

(20:39):
work it out with your first marriage partner, because the
divorce rate trip goes to seventy five percent for second
marriage and then up and up, because those same patterns
and issues play out no matter who you're with, because
a lot of times it's it's our own healing, our
own childhood stuff that's coming into play. And so unless
you're being abuse used, or you're with someone that is

(21:02):
really emotionally neglect you know, if there's a real good reason.
You know. Of course, violence and stuff, there's no excuse
for that. But if the marriage or the partnership, you know,
put a little more effort into it, I think that helps.
But we got to know our partner's birth chart, how
they love, how they communicate, and I always talk about
the five love languages. So but I love the title

(21:22):
of your book, Charting Love with Astrology. I love it
and I think that I want everyone to go out
and get it. So can you share with the audience,
you know, how they can find you? Here, We've got
about three minutes left. How can they find you? What's
your website? You know, where can they get your book?

Speaker 4 (21:41):
Hey, so my consulting businesses consult the sky dot com,
so that's easy to find. And then my show is
called sky Notes. I have a partner that we do
a show on YouTube, sky Notes Astrology.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
So either one of those places you can find it.

Speaker 4 (21:57):
I highly recommend you buy the book directly from the
little websites. Okay, well, if you're in the States, and
if you're Canadian, the Indigo website, because that's faster shipping
for Canada and the UK has to wait a really
long time for the book, they don't get it till
the end of the month, and the US, you guys
get it on the February thirteenth that comes out. Canada's

(22:18):
February sixteenth, and then in the UK it's like February
twenty eighth or something like that.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
