Speaker 2 (00:27):
Welcome to your astrological Energy. I'm your host, Carmen Turner Shot,
and this is a show about astrology, mental health, and energy,
and I am here to share the astrological forecast for
the week of May ten through sixteen. So I just

(00:47):
want to apologize up front. I am We're covering from a.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Really bad cold.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
I've been very sick all week, so I apologize if
I have to cough a little bit my through this
recording for this week, but I wanted to didn't want
to miss out on giving you the update. So today
is Mother's Day, So happy Mother's Day to all the
mothers out there. And the moon is in Pisce's today,

(01:18):
so it goes into Pisces about one thirty nine pm,
and it's going to make us feel very emotional and
compassionate and kind and sensitive and artistic and creative and
a little bit idealistic and imaginative.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
And we may be dreaming a little bit more deeply on.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Today and into Tuesday. The moon will be in Pisces
until Tuesday, so the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth of May
and Pisces energy. When the moon is in Pisces, I
find that I always sleep and dream a little bit
deeper because it's a it's a water moon, and it's

(02:00):
very very mystical and very deep in Pisces rules dreams
and sleep, So of course it's really going to affect
us in a lot of ways. Some of the people
tell me that when the moon is in Pisces that
they just feel very in tune with energy and extra sensitive,

(02:23):
extra psychic, extra intuitive. So you know, watch these moon
cycles each week and see how they affect you. You know,
everyone is affected very differently by all of these cycles,
and they can really be a good thing to energy
to tap into in your life. So one of the

(02:45):
biggest things that's going on this week, there's not a
ton of major things changing this week astrologically. When I
was looking at the forecast, we got just a few
things going on. But the main thing we want to
focus on is the moon. So last week, you know,

(03:10):
we talked about we had the full moon and Scorpio
that happened, and that was a very intense weekend. I
had been traveling for work and there so many people
contacted me and had really unexpected things end, you know,
and a couple people had some strange things at work

(03:35):
or lost their job or you know, found out something
was cut. And then I had a friend of mine
I was eating dinner with when I was on my trip,
and she got a text and we went back to
the parking garage and someone had totaled in the parking
garage somehow totaled her car, ran right into the car,
and then did the whole passage, the whole driver's site

(03:57):
end so badly that the mirror was hanging all often,
the door wouldn't shut. And that was the night of
the scorpio full moon. So it was like just one
thing after the other happened. And then, uh, when I
got back from the trip, I got I got very sick,
and uh, I got a sore throat and ended up

(04:18):
getting a really bad cold. So I apologize as I
coughed my way through this. Uh this episode, but there's
just a lot that's been going on for.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
A lot of people.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
A lot of people have told me that they've been
sick or had allergies, or you know, car accidents or
someone hit their car. And you know, this friend of
mine it was a hit and run, told of the
car and it would cost more to fix it than
to even you know, getting it. Might as well get
a new car. The car wasn't worth that as much
as it would cost to fix.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
It, she told me. So.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Just a lot of things happened during the full moon
and scorpio. So I'm wondering you know how that affected
you guys, And you can always write me through my
website Carmen turnershot dot com. I have all these episodes
on my website on the podcast page and love to
hear any questions you guys have or how these moon

(05:14):
cycles are affecting you would love to hear more about
your personal experiences. And you know, you could even share
your birth information with me, and I can even send
you a free birth will and look at your chart
and tell you what I see a little bit, so you.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Know where your moon sign is and all those things.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
You know, the moon is such important thing in our
birth chart and I think that we're really going to
feel very intuitive and sensitive at the beginning of the week,
and then we're going to feel driven and a little
bit impulsive and action focused Tuesday night into Thursday, when

(05:58):
the moon is an eeries so as we talk about
aries is intense energy, it's the warrior, it's action focused.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
We're going to be really a little bit.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
More fiery and intense midweek on Wednesday and Thursday.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
And you know, one of the things that.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Is so important with the moon is you know, seeing
how it affects your your emotions, seeing how it affects
your mind and also your sleep and your dreams, and
really how those reactions those impulses that you have. You know,
the moon is our deeper emotional nature and it really

(06:46):
helps us.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
Tap into our soul.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
And so in my opinion, the moon sign is so important,
even more important than the sun sign in our Berth charts.
So you know, if you're listening to the show and
you know your sun signed, but you don't know your
moon sign, you know, feel free to reach out to
me through my website and I can send you a
birth will. I would love to hear you know, any

(07:17):
topics or things you would like for me to talk
about on the show. Again, I apologize. I'm fighting a
bad virus or cold that I had here that's in
my lungs and my throat. I apologize for all the coughing.
But I'm sure you guys understand I'm a one man

(07:38):
show most of the time, so i gotta it's me
or no one, right. So, you know, towards the end
of the week, there's going to be the major thing
that's really happened in this week, which I'm going to
really tap into, is is that the moon will move
into Taurus on Friday, and we have a new moon

(08:04):
in Taurus on Saturday, May sixteenth. And what that means
is that, you know, we talked about this before, and
there's a new moon, it's a time to set our intentions.
It's a time to manifest. It's a time to visualize
what we want, and it also could be a time

(08:25):
to release and and contemplate a little bit. You know,
the full moon is really about purging and letting go
and bearying and releasing and forgiving but and starting new.
But you know, the new moon is about creation and
imagination and it's all about manifestation. So a lot of

(08:48):
you know, a lot of different philosophies talk about the
moon cycles and how important they are and manifesting what
we want.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
But the new moon in.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
Taurus is a very earth the practical moon, And so
I'm gonna share with you guys some of the key
things to look at this cycle when you are you know,
gonna manifest and some of those things are looking at

(09:18):
your security needs, your safety, your comfort. You know, what
brings you comfort, what makes you feel safe, what makes
you feel secure. Taurus is associated with the second house
in astrology, which is the house of money, the house
of finance, the house of self worth and value, so

(09:39):
things we value, and it's not just money.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
But a lot of it is.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
Taurus is all about the money that they make through
their own hard work, and that's what the second house represents,
is the money that we make. Where the opposite house,
the eighth house in astrology, is rule Biscorpio or socio
with scorpio energy, and it's the house of other people's money,
other people's resources, and things like that. So the Torus

(10:07):
energy of this new moon is about how we make
money and all of that. So think about, you know,
do you need you know, do you want to make
more money or are you realizing that you know what
the job you're doing and all the work you're doing
doesn't really bring fulfillment. And you're really wanting to look
at what you value. And you may value helping people.

(10:30):
You may value being able to go to be peaceful
and rest and be home with your dog, or retire
or you know, spend more time with your kids. You know,
there might be a lot of things that you can
contemplate on during this full or new moon weekend. And

(10:51):
so I would say start looking at start tapping into
this energy on Friday, May fifteen, okay, and look at
what you value money, patience, and also it's a good
time to release any kind of stubbornness. It's a good
time to go of the past. It's a good time,

(11:14):
you know, to get determined and look at perseverance. You know,
what are things that you want to put your effort in,
what are things you really want to work on, And
that's really important during the new moon, and I think
with the Taurust new moon, it's really about tapping into
your emotions and your feelings and your body. You know,

(11:39):
Taurus is an earthy sign, it's physical, you know, they're
known to be affectionate sign. We are in Taurus season
right now, so that means that the sun, you know,
the our main identity, the sun is in the sign Taurus,
in the constellation Taurus in the sky right now, and
that is a double me with this new moon in Taurus.

(12:02):
So there's a lot of energy that has to do
with how we nurture our body, how we connect to
our senses, our sounds, taste, smells, touch, so doing yoga,
walking out in nature, getting outside outdoors, working in the garden,
planning flowers, planning tomato plants, whatever in your garden. You know,

(12:23):
this is a good time to do that, and it's
kind of that season of planning and growth and tapping
into different smells, you know, maybe for healing, different sounds
like crystal singing bowls, all those kinds of things that
have to do with the senses. Is a Tourus thing
and a lot of Tauruses. You know, Taurus is vulnerable

(12:44):
area is the throat, and my south node in my
birth chart where my past lives were is in Taurus.
And my north node, which is our sole mission, the
symbol of our sole mission, is in scorpios, so my
south nodes to so whenever I get sick, it goes
straight to my throat. And that's what happened this week.

(13:06):
I had a very raw throat, couldn't talk. Sometimes I
get laryngitis even and that is a Taurus thing. Tauruses
are known. A lot of them like to sing, or
have a beautiful singing voice, or have a talent in that,
even if they don't think they do, they have a
really good talent for singing. I remember a few years

(13:30):
ago on American Idol some of the winners. I started
looking through the years, a lot of them were Taurus.
Taurus is ruled by Venus, so the planet of love
and relationships, so beauty and harmony and peace and creative endeavor.
So even though they're practical and stable and patient and

(13:51):
calm and have a very grounded energy that makes people
feel safe and comfortable, when you're in their presence, they
feel a little bit heavy and when you're around them,
their energy is and grounded. They can help calm people
when people are really upset or anxious or emotional.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
They can kind of help, you know.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
They can be very chill and laid back at times,
but they can also be, you know, very stubborn and
strong willed and determined, self determined to get what they want,
and they're known to have a hard time change in
their mind when they make it up. You know, they
like things their way and sometimes they don't always take feedback.

(14:32):
And so during this new moon, I think it's important
to look at where in our lives do we resist advice?
You know, where in our lives do we resist change?
Because Tauruses are known to not like change and to
like things to stay the same. And I always it
reminds me when I think of Taurus.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
The funny movie that.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
Was on years ago, What About Bob. If you've never
seen it, it's a funny psychology movie. It has Bill
Murray in it, and Richard Dreyfus plays a psychiatrist that
is working with Bob.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
And I'm sure if you guys haven't seen it, you
got to see it.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
But he tries to get Bob, you know, to make
a baby, little small step changes, you know, and so
Bob they call it baby steps. He's like baby step,
baby step, Bob, baby step to the elevator, baby step
to the stair. You know, Bob was afraid of stepping
on cracks. You know, had some phobias and stuff. So anyway,

(15:31):
that reminds me of trust energy when I see that movie,
because it's always about taking it slow and baby steps
for Taurus.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
So use this Taurus.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Energy to really ground into your body and breathe the light,
some candles, light some incense, play some beautiful music, and
just relax and connect to your physical body, into the earth.
And I'll be back after the commercial break to give
you some more tips for the week. Hi, this is

Speaker 2 (17:06):
Welcome back to Your Astrological Energy. I'm your host, Carmen
Turner's Shot, and I've been giving you the astrological update
for the week of May ten through May sixteen, twenty
twenty six, and we're just talking about the new moon
and Taurus and what an amazing thing that is for
us to harness and tap into some tourist traits. And

(17:30):
we are in Taurus season, so it's a really important
time for us to do that in And that's the thing,
you know, even if you don't have the Sun and
Taurus or planets and tourus, we all have all twelve
astrological signs in our birth charts somewhere. And that's why
I wrote my book Your Astrological Energy, Maximize the Power

(17:52):
of your Birth Chart. And that's why this show is
named Your Astrological Energy. Because we all have all twelve
signs in our birth chart somewhere, and those signs, depending
on you know, will fall on one of the houses,
one of the twelve houses in our birth chart, because

(18:13):
depending on what time you're born, the place, the date, year,
all those things are so important and it's it's just
a good way to tap into that energy.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
So there's not a lot.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
Going on this week, I know, you know, we talked
about the moon being in Pisces the beginning of the
week and then into Aries and then into Taurus for
the weekend for the new moon. But I want to
just cover a little bit about tourist energy. Taurus is
the bull, that's their symbol. The sun is in the

(18:49):
sign of Taurus from April twenty to May twenty, so
we are in tourist season right now. Their energy is determined.
Their element is Earth. They're rule by the planet Venus
is associated with Taurus. They rule the second house in astrology,
the money house, the money we make mat taste some

(19:11):
Taurus energy words, so you can tap into this new
moon Taurus energy and the sun being in Taurus.

Speaker 3 (19:17):
And then if you.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
Want to learn more about your birth chart, I do
consultations and I do sixty minute ninety minute. You can

give you tips on your strengths, your sole mission, your relationships,

(19:46):
you know anything you want to know about yourself. I
would love to share with you all of those things.
I love astrology. It's my passion and I've been doing
it since I was sixteen years old, and I love
to teach it. So some of the Taurus energy words
are determined, patient, stubborn, stable, structured, grounded, earthy, calm, slow, quiet, rigid, committed, organized, focused, resistant, persistent, musical, attractive, charming, sensual, affectionate.

(20:24):
And I was going to read this to the motto,
this is right out of my book, You're Astrological Energy.
You guys can go out and get it on Amazon
or Barnes and Noble. It's a basic guide that goes
over all twelve signs, all the planets in each sign,
all the planets in each house, transits of each sign

(20:45):
and house.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
It's a big thick book.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
It has a lot of basic, great information in there
from just things that I've noticed from doing consultations and
counseling people for the past thirty years. I try to
I write in a very basic, easy to understand way
to make astrology understandable to anyone that has never even
opened an astrology book.

Speaker 3 (21:06):
So would love for you to go out there and
check out my book and.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
Taurus's motto. So, as a Taurus, I need to have
a thought out plan. I can be quietly competitive. I
am strong willed, and once I make up my mind,
there is no one who can change it. I do
everything slowly and don't like to feel rushed. Change can
be difficult for me. I'm connected to the past and
it's hard to let go of things. Loud noises and

(21:34):
chaos make me anxious. I take my time doing things
the right way because I don't want to waste my energy.
I am stubborn and like things done my way. I
need a calm and peaceful environment to feel safe. I
enjoy owning nice things and crave financial security. I am
dependable and a reliable person. I am patient and value

(21:56):
financial success. So that is the inn of this new moon.
Guys on May sixteen to really tap into. I want
to kind of wrap up in the show just to
say thank you for your patients. I'm very sick, but
I'm you know, I apologize for the pauses and coughing

(22:20):
of the episode. But I want to tell you a
little bit about a course that I'm offering that starts

this course to talk about the basics of how to
awaken your intuition using astrology. We're going to look at
the Moon and Neptune.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
How they bring.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
Psychic abilities and intuition into our lives. I'm going to
look at the waterhouses, which are the gateways of the soul.
