Sometimes life doesn’t gently whisper…sometimes it grabs you by the shoulders and smacks you with a full-on reality stick. After some classic Laura and Erik banter, Laura shares the horrifying moment that made her suddenly realize she has entered an entirely new chapter of life…and let’s just say, she was NOT emotionally prepared. What starts as shock quickly spirals into a hilarious deep dive into all the other random discounts and perks people “of a certain age” can score. Some are exciting. Some are humbling. All are slightly terrifying. Then, after the emotional damage settles in, Erik fires up everyone’s favorite entertainment report, The Double D, packed with celebrity chaos, pop culture nonsense, and the showbiz stories you didn’t know you needed. Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yes, but we decided. Remember last week we were like,
I couldn't do it without you, and I can't do
it without you, so that's a that's a big deal.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
But if I had to, I could.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
And then.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
You suck.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
Yeah, I know you would scrub again my name off
the marquee as fast as you could with a big,
just black marker.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Probably I just put some tape over it.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
And then we have our Claire, somebody who is gaining
He's gaining a lot of popularity. She has received not
one but three recent positive comments. Oh, one of them
being on YouTube that it was so good I snapshotted

(00:50):
it and sent it to her.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Yes she did.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
It was very sweet and basically it was from a
woman who said she loves the addition of Claire and
that she totally is changes. She has changed the vibe
of the show, which this woman loves, and now we
are her favorite thing to listen to. Oh my gosh,
because I producer Claire. So they no, thank you Claire, see.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
Well you are You're so sign This woman's name Sydney.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Thank you Sidney, Sydney, Yes, Sydney. And then I'll find
the other one that I that I saw on Instagram
about you, because you should know when people are saying
nice things about you, you know, because a lot of
times people don't take the time out to do that.
As Barry and I, I mean, it's no gosh, shoot,
I just said my boss's name. Well, let's just be real,

(01:43):
because Claire and I were just like kind of grumbling
over not Mary, but just are just some things at work,
like stuff that we're working on that's like frustrating us. No,
it had nothing to do with Mary, and have everything
to do with like people that were trying to get
in contact with and not being able to reach and
then let them be on it was like it's been chaotic. No,

(02:06):
Mary's great. She's our boss and she's a strong leader.
And so is Cliff. I love me some.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Cliff, but I love me some Cliff too.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
We before you came in here, we were we were
grumbling about certain things, but again, very grateful. Love the job.
It's great you had a big brush fire, you had
to deal with the smoke.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Yeah, I had a big day to day overtime. Yeah,
it's pretty exciting. So yeah, shout out to all the
people that evacuate from Sorrental Valley. I hope you're okay now.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
God when.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Valley, Yeah, it was like sixty five acres and they
were like a bunch of mandatory evacuations and stuff.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
I think everything's fine now, And I immediately just I
had my helicopter hat on and I'm like, oh, we
got to monitor the chopper. Well, of all days for
it to be down for maintenance was today when it
was could have this could have been a huge news story.
I'm guessing it turned out to be not as massively

(03:06):
horrible as it could have been.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
I think so. I mean, I didn't want toitor that
closely after I left work at like twelve thirty, right,
but I'm pretty sure everything's fine now. A bunch of
evacuation in the mornings have been lifted.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
So yeah. And I was in the newsroom until about
four thirty and there was no like rinning around and craziness.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
Excellent.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
But do you know what I get to do on
Wednesday morning?

Speaker 3 (03:27):
What this is fun?

Speaker 1 (03:29):
This is something I did last year and it was
really really fun but also very scary to me. On
Wednesday morning. Wednesday, the San Diego County Fair opens Wednesday
morning early. They let the media in to try the

(03:50):
new food the new fair to interview some of the
vendors and the performers and the you know, the the
GM of the fair stuff like that, and then they
have like one or two rides that are available for
you to just test out on TV or on the radio.
So last year I had some deep fried like cheese

(04:18):
pickles in Doctor Pepper. That was like a new thing.
So I drank that whole thing.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Oh wait a minute, wait, pickles and doctor pepper.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Yeah, it's a it was like a new it's a
new it was a new conco.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Have you heard about the latest thing people are putting
pickles in. We talked about this in the morning show
this morning.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
What oh god, that is absolutely white wine. Oh that's disgusting.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
What is the reasoning behind this and what is the
attraction with the story?

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Say, I mean, they put like frozen pickles in there,
so it makes it like cold and stuff. So if
you're like kind of a nube, you just throw some
frozen pickles in your savin blanc. If you're like advanced,
you make a wine cocktail and you put a little
bit of.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
The brine in there too. God, that just sounds So
it's like a sweet and salty type of thing, savory.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
I guess if you're like a hardcore savory girl and.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Have popcorn and m and ms or a hardcore alcoholic Yeah,
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
Could you not just drink your sofy like your white wine?

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Write oh my god, oh.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
My goodness, hypo interrupting, but I need.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
I'm glad you did.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
That is gross morning similar kind of taste, you know,
something sweet with the pickles, and then I ate. I
remember eating a lot of different things. And then I
got talked into writing what was then the tallest ride

(05:49):
in all the West Coast, brand new ride at the Fair,
and it was like taller than the Ferris Wheel by
like a lot, and basically you go up and then
it spins you around. Well, I can't even go on

(06:10):
the log ride because I can't stand that stomach feeling.
It just I hate it. I hate all roller coasters.
I can't well. I was talked into it, and the
report was horrible because it was basically me saying I'm
not feeling so great getting up. I didn't puke, thank God,
but me screaming the entire time when I want, I scream.

(06:33):
I can't help it. It's just a natural thing. When
I'm on a ride, I don't scream out of joy,
I scream out of terror. So it looks like that's
probably gonna happen again on Wednesday morning. If you want
some entertainment and of course tuning in.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
Do you know what time your hits are?

Speaker 1 (06:51):
I think at eleven the elevens one.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
Yeah, I don't wait, but Hul text me so that
I can tune in.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Well, I think you start tuning in anyway, because missus
Claire produces the co Goo Am six hundred morning news show,
which is really good.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
Maybe you should just listen every morning for some high
quality news.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Bret and Veronica bring it.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
Curated by yours truly, it's really good.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
It's really good. It's from five am to nine am.
Five am, that's right when I don't.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
Have to listen at five am, but some people do.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
I guess people who are up bright and early, ready
to get the day in the morning.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
And do I have to get there at three to
start the show at five?

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Oh my god, that is I know.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
And I roll in at like twelve and she's still there.
I know, So she's I know. So that's on Wednesday,
and then what am I doing? On Thursday. Oh, the
soccer Shakespeare's at Shakespeare's Pub. Yes, FIFA are going to
do live reports in the afternoon.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
Show Shakespeare's Pub and Grill here in.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
San Diego, right in India, right, yes, yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Yelp ranked it the number one best place to watch
the World Cup in the country, the best sports bar
to watch the more really country.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Yes, so seven Fish and Chips are the best in town.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
That's real.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
That's well, so that's why we sent you down there.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
Okay, that's where I go for my Fish and Chips.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
Isn't seven sixty broadcasting from there?

Speaker 3 (08:23):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Oh, I'm anyway. Is this it's Thursday afternoon. Cliff wants
me there at noon just to get the feel of everything,
and then I'm going to do like live hits during
his newscast, and then I'll probably be on with lou Penrose.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
Maybe I'll see you.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Oh that would be really fun. Yeah, because I'm going
to be in the area and then you can watch
me do a live report.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
And and she's super impressed with my news prowess poke
my head. In next years, you're kinda like balm me somehow.
You're gonna like scream something inappropriate. They're nephews, the dumpko boobs.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Just yell it.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
Laura's gonna be get fired. It's gonna be a whole thing.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Oh, it's gonna be like a whole, huge thing. Of course,
Thank you, Eric, thank you.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
You're welcome. Now she'll be terrified on Thursday.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
So big week. It's gonna be a fun week. And again,
always living in a space of gratefulness that said, oh
oh oh no, I'm like shaking right now. I this
is embarrassing, it's unavoidable. It's what it is. It's it is,

(09:42):
uh what I'm dealing with, can I guess? But it's
also a little bit beneficial, But I haven't accepted that
part yet.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
What is this something that happened to you?

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Yes, it's something to happen to me. And then I
looked into it and I have more information about it.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Is it regarding like a bodily function?

Speaker 1 (10:05):
No, no bodily functions. No, bodily functions. No, I didn't
like poop my pants or key in public or any
of that.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
Pants.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
I've done that before, but not in not lately, maybe
maybe like two months ago.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
So it's okay.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
So it's it's embarrassing to me, something I can't help.
I'm gonna need to deal with it. But then I
get some perks, so I could better just be grateful.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Okay, I don't know what it is.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
Okay, you qualify for some kind of senior discount.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Bingo, so cleare. So here I am in my life
thinking that in my body, I feel like I'm twenty
seven years old, thirty at the most. So I bop around,
probably with my head in the clowns, just thinking that, hey,

(11:00):
I feel this way, so I must look this way.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
She feels like she's twenty seven, not sixty.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
Right, and I'm not sixty. I knew it anyway. So
I needed an.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
Oil change, uh huh oh no.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
And I roll up and it was a Tuesday. This
was last week. And the guy goes because I had
a coupon to use, and he goes, well, listen, this
is your lucky day. It's what did they call it.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
I have to look at it.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
I have to lick this up.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
I have to lick this up.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
It's senior day to day. So not only do you
get the coupon, but you also get an extra fifteen
percent off. Wow. And I'm like in my mind.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
I'm thinking, oh, my god, this is great.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
I give him my license already, or is he he
just said that. He just said that, not knowing how
old I was, even because I didn't give him my
license yet, I hadn't give him my info.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
My god.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
So not only do I qualify for the the Valvelene
Tuesday Senior Discount, I obviously rolled in there looking the part,
which I was not happy about.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Well you know, oh, go ahead.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
No, there's nothing to say, there's nothing to say. There's
nothing to say, there's nothing to say.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
No, you remember what happened to me a couple of
months ago.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Maybe, well people know, well like three years ago, no,
five years ago, people were calling you grandpa when you
were holding Emily's kids.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
Oh that's right. Yeah, so yeah, well no, when I
was at Ross and I had to I was buying something.
Oh and it was a Tuesday and I got I
got the senior discount.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Yes, I was gonna okay, so I was gonna run down.
I decided to google this.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
Did you decide to go everywhere in town? No?

Speaker 1 (13:10):
I just did this, and I'm gonna and if you
are fifty five plus, get ready because here are the
discounts coming at you you might not have even known about.
Oh my god, So I just added myself to anybody lack.
Not that I'm trying to hide my age. I never have.
What's the point, right, You're only going to get found

(13:32):
out that you're going to be even more foolish. So whatever,
fifty five plus, I'm there, all right, accepted boom. Not
happy about it, but whatever.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
Okay, she's been there for five years.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
You are nasty and a rat. You are a rat.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
And oh if it's a good one, I'll give it
to you. And that was a good one.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
You are a snap.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
I can't argue with it.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
So you are correct. At Ross on Tuesdays, Seniors fifty
five plus, I could you know what, I can also
live in a senior housing development because I'm fifty five plus.

Speaker 3 (14:17):
Someone's are really cheap.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
Yeah, we gotta start. Yeah, we're gonna start looking and
I gotta get our big bed.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
I'm looking at apartments and I'll come across from it's like,
oh my god, that's.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
So true, Like how much cheap are we talking?

Speaker 3 (14:30):
And and it's like like the cheapest ones in the area.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Pretty consistent, are they are? They are still on the
level are they are they? I don't know.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
I haven't looked into them that much because I don't qualify.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
Wow, I have a friend that one and it's nice.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Well hell.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Not.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
Okay, I'm starting to embrace it. I'm starting, okay, okay, okay.
So Ross is every Tuesday ten percent off for seniors.
At Michael's, I think every day fifty five plus, Yes,
we get ten percent off. My god, Walgreens is another Tuesday,

(15:07):
the first Tuesday of the month. Only seniors get twenty
percent off, and that's fifty five plus.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Same it.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
I do need some new seat covers, so guess what
I'm gonna go to pet Boys because I get ten
percent off because I'm over fifty five. And then at Albertson's, Uh,
this is for older adults, it says, oh, but it's
still fifty five plus. We are not only we are

(15:44):
older adults and fifty five plus. We get ten percent
off every Wedndy, the first Wednesday of every month. Okay,
hurts twenty percent off at and t fifty five plus
you get some kind of savings. I don't know what
the discount was. It didn't it didn't specify goodwill and

(16:08):
Cole's every Wednesday, there's a big discount. But we have
to wait until we're sixty. That's yeah, sixty years old. Well,
I don't have to wait every Wednesday. Oh, you're two
years older than me.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
I'm fifty nine.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Oh one year. I can't even do math.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
Two years older?

Speaker 1 (16:31):
That are like whatever?

Speaker 2 (16:32):
Acting surprise, Like, okay, how did you say they drop
an age? You could go now to Goodwill and Coles.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
No, I can't sixty five plus at rite aid every
Wednesday you get a big discount.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
That's being you know what that is being.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
Uh what senior positive?

Speaker 2 (16:54):
No, that's being discriminatory.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
What are you talking about?

Speaker 2 (16:57):
Does everybodybody else is fifty five and older? Why are
socking it to us? You have to wait?

Speaker 1 (17:02):
Sixty fives is like when you get your Social Security
or seventy? What do you get social Security seventy one?
I don't know. I'm not really worried about the what's
sixty five is that when you're officially retired. I think
retirement a lot of.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
A lot of places. Sixty five's when you retire. It
might also be when you get Social Security standby.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Okay, but anyway, and then dairy Queen fifty five plus
we get ten percent off and I hop fifty Oh.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
Yeah, breakfast and I hot dairy queen.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
It depends somewhere in your sixties. It depends on like
how often you're taking the payouts and stuff like that.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Oh okay, so somewhere in.

Speaker 3 (17:44):
Six seven and sixty seven.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
Okay, that's when Social Security starts. Okay, yeah, you're almost
ready to get it social Security?

Speaker 2 (17:56):
So were you?

Speaker 1 (17:57):
No, I'm not. You're trying to put it on you
and it and work. Okay. Now, I have this on
my reminder list and I thought it was something extremely important.
But it's something I'm going to try and it's dumb,
but I want to show off this new thing that
I just got from Timu that is awesome. So I

(18:20):
decided right now, in the middle of the show, we're
gonna have a disco dance party. So hold on, hold
the music, make some changes. I got to turn off
some lights, and I'm going to show you my remote
controlled disco ball.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
Okay, oh boy, okay, this is exciting.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
S Okay, Okay. Eric and I have been deeply blindsided by.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
We we have been I'm very nervous lighting and scared
don't be scared.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
This is like super great.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
Oh my gosh, I've been playing.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
With it for ever since I got it. Okay, wow, why.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
Wow?

Speaker 1 (19:10):
Whoa, we have to turn down the other lights.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
You can, you'll see it better if you can turn
off that lorcane after dark.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
Sign to the lights because and then cue some music.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
Claire, Okay, this.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
Is not even showing up on cameras.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
It Oh wow, look at that. Here we go. I
feel like I'm at Studio fifty four music.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
I feel like I'm at the clurb. I'm partying the hall.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Claire, totally.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
Wow. Wow now it's crab blue. Here we go. Boom
boom boom boom.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Oh yeah, Caine, I'm so wasted. C can you hold
my hair?

Speaker 1 (20:07):
Sit down? I have to sit down.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
Oh my god, I'm so tired.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
Can we get chicken nuggets? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (20:13):
Oh my god, I'm so tired.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
The disco dance party?

Speaker 2 (20:16):
How much long do we do we have to be here? Now?

Speaker 1 (20:20):
Isn't this most fun thing ever? When it's really dark,
it's really fun. All right, that's the end of the
disco dance party. I have to tell you, but that
was super fun.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
Somebody needs to take a swifter to that disco ball.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
But don't worry. I ordered another one and it's bigger,
so it's going to make a bigger Don't worry. It's
all going to be fixed. Hey, why don't we start
your double d while you turn on the lights.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
Oh my god, let's do it.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
You and the music.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
Holy smoke, I watched see this is what I do

supports us. Oh my god, I watch horrible movies so

(21:12):

For our subscribers, everybody, do not tune into Hulu and

Speaker 1 (21:39):
Is it brand new and has been hyped up?

Speaker 2 (21:41):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (21:43):
And can you give us a synopsis of what it is?

Speaker 2 (21:45):
I really can't. It's a couple in the forests that
are terrorized.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
By Okay, so we've seen been there, done that, seeing
that a million times.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
Well, sure, except for the fact that it is like
watching paint dry.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
Okay, so don't watch Keeper.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
On. When I say it's a slow burn, I mean
it's terrible.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
Claire it's probably like really good because it's slow and
there's like development nothing, and.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
Then the end is a total buzz gits stupid. Don't
watch it all right now, let me tell you I
have never been interested in the Tonies. Couldn't care less.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
Are you a theater kid? Who are you? I am?
Do you like the Tonys?

Speaker 3 (22:36):
I'm not as plugged in until like the hit What's
Hip Happening as I once was. Yeah, but I like theater.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Okay, well, and I love going to plays and musicals
and stuff like that. I'm just not interested in the
Tonies until I heard Pink was hosting.

Speaker 1 (22:51):
Oh like the full like the full on hosting duties, the.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
Full on hosting gig. Wow, And let me just say
ituned in last last night, and she did a great job.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
Did she fly across the audience?

Speaker 2 (23:08):
She did come down on stage on the cables, and
she spun around and stuff, and she was so natural
and so fun and I love her anyway. I would
literally watch her wallpaper.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
Did you see her show at pet Co recently?

Speaker 2 (23:23):
I was not here. I was on the Oh yeah,
but I've seen her four times and she's fantastic. Okay,
another one of my Divas released today on YouTube her
fourteen minute film Confessions on a Dance Floor two Mad Donna.

(23:48):
Let me just say the Bitch is back. It was
so good.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
Okay. It's a fourteen minute movie. Isn't like a b
Onse style movie?

Speaker 2 (24:01):
Yes like that, it's like with a bunch.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
Of other songs. Yes, style like that.

Speaker 2 (24:07):
And there are so many cameos in it. Kate Moss
is in it. I can't even tell you. Bend Benedict
Cumberbach is in it. How old is She's seventy Cumberbatch?
Thank you? She's seventy or seventy one.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Okay, and we know she's had some work done whatever,
and I'm sure gled.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
And she looks good except for the fact how she moving.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
How's her body good?

Speaker 2 (24:32):
Her body looks sick? Okay, the face is settled down.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
Let me just say this. Did you guys see the
promo that she did in Times Square?

Speaker 1 (24:44):
Yes for Grinder, Yes for Grinder.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
The only critique I had she looked fantastic. We all
know that she's had a BBL for sure, because that
booty was so big and doul chinga Bana did the outfit?
Now straight on, she looks incredible. Then she turned around

(25:13):
and that underwear whatever, that garment was, looked like a
loaded baby diaper.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
So you're claiming she has button plants.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
Oh for sure, I mean allegedly, but that listen. I
am one of the biggest, one of the biggest Madonna fans.
That booty never looked like that. It is it is?

Speaker 4 (25:35):
Does it look deformed or does it look it looks
because she's so tiny, so all of a sudden she
has this huge butt and in that weird roughly dipe perth.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
I mean, it just looked like a loaded diaper in
the back, but it Oh, listen, the performance was great.
She was great. I can't even imagine what the budget
was on that.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
And where where can we see this?

Speaker 2 (26:05):
You can see it on YouTube. You can see both.
You can see her Times Square prelude to this, which
she sings a couple songs on YouTube, and then you
can see the actual film Confessions too on YouTube.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
And has this album come out already?

Speaker 2 (26:22):
I don't know why it comes out.

Speaker 4 (26:23):
It comes out July third already, and every song is amazing.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
That's great.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
I cannot wait. Oh such sad, sad, sad news. Spencer
Pratt has been eliminated from his quest to be mirror
of Los Angeles. Let me just throw something out. Does

(26:54):
anybody have a tissue so that I can dab my eyes?

Speaker 1 (26:58):
He was on He's on a Lot with Heather McDonald,
But it wasn't with heathern McDonald. I heard this interview
with he was on Howard Stern he was or somebody
of that, or Joe Rogan, one of the two. And
the things that he was talking about politically and some
of the things that he was very articulate. He knew
a lot of goings on. He knew a lot about

(27:22):
the city. I mean, he's born and raised here and.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
He lost his house in the Palace.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
Yes, and he said that there's a lot of shady
stuff going on as far as this fundraising goes for
that the reconstruction, yes, of all that. So I kind
of respected him a little bit more than I ever have.
But anyway, he's eliminated.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
Yes, oh yes, And.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
Well good for him for crying. Anyway.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
No, I know when he first started this, he goes,
if I don't win, my wife and I are moving,
and I'm all, see ya.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
What did they say where they're moving to?

Speaker 2 (28:01):
Hopefully out of the country. Oh, out of the country
like the wife. This is what I think is so
funny and not to get on a soapbox, but I'm
gonna just for a second.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Somebody on Instagram just said, please don't get political. I
know that's okay, so not where we're going. So I
apologize if we even diptote in.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
Yeah, we're not. We're not near mind.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
Okay, shut.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
Up, but oh well, by Spencer, Bye girl, bye girl. Okay.
I almost lost my ship this morning when I saw
on Entertainment Weekly on Instagram Lisa Kudro and Miras Orvino
are filming a sequel to Rome and Michelle's High School.

(28:51):
They're just started production and it's going to be on
Hulu date to be determined. I will be there with
popcorn am ms. Oh my god, I can't wait.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
Wait Lisa cood it was Lisa Coudro. I know it
was a mirror Sovino, but I didn't realize the Yes,
that is awesome.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
I it's one of my favorite comedy moves. I could
watch that movie over and over and over again.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
And by the way, what just this morning I finished Tacks.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
Okay, did you cry?

Speaker 1 (29:27):
Yes? I did?

Speaker 2 (29:28):
Okay, there we go I do have.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
More than sand and dry dust in my veins.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
I guess I do too, because I had a tear
as well.

Speaker 1 (29:40):
It was so good, wasn't it good?

Speaker 2 (29:44):
Oh my god?

Speaker 1 (29:45):
Okay, anyway good, But anyway, I just finished it, so
really great, really really great.

Speaker 2 (29:50):
What else? So Ariana Grande, another one of my songstresses,
just started her Turn Sunshine tour that kicked off in
oak in California. Which did not kick off is her
relationship with Ethan Slater that she met on the set
of Wicked. They called it quits after three years.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
Now, it wouldn't be nice. It wouldn't be a nice
thing to do to call Auntie Dodo about her feelings
about Ariana Grande.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
Oh my god, can we no beads?

Speaker 1 (30:22):
It's not nice to say mean things about people? Oh,
come on, because what if she really is like not.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
Well, listen, I'm gonna too bad.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
Well, you got to make sure you're hooked up to
the broken Oh.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
Right, right, right, right, right, listen. All you had to.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
Do was the bluetooth. Oh my gosh, Oh, I cannot wait.
Please in advance, know that I can't say Judy's real age,
but she's of the era she's certain things were okay.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
She's a couple years younger than Laura.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
I don't hear the phone reading the views expressed.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
It's because my I'm.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
Not okay, oh.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
What it's right there? Oh we might have to do
yours on. Oh we can't. We might not be able
to call Judy.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
It's a thing. Maybe that's for the best, you know, yeah,
is it turned on?

Speaker 3 (31:27):
It's because it says somebody is connected right now Laura.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
It's probably Laura who.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
Watch or not pick up?

Speaker 2 (31:44):
Okay, okay, okay, here we go. Well, well, will Judy's
gummy have kicked in? Or has she not?

Speaker 1 (31:56):
Doney, No, the gummy is not until night.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
Okay, Oh, here we go. Okay mm hmmmm is ring
helo perfect?

Speaker 1 (32:13):
And of course you'll answer because it's you. Your call
has been eight one more time, and then I'll paraphrase,
and then we'll end this. Where would she be? She's

(32:36):
she's hello, Oh gorgeous anti doo dooo oh ship. I
didn't know with you guys, I've just shined you. I
know all that's on my call her back? What is
she doing?

Speaker 2 (32:50):
I'm starting a movie with Bruce Willis. Oh you are good?
How are you beautiful? Oh god, I don't know about that,
but thank you. I'm fine.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
Now did you hear the PHONETI wait, did you hear
the phone ring and see who it was? And blew
him off?

Speaker 2 (33:07):
No, it didn't say who it was. Oh oh, I
got to change that. How can how can? How can
I put sexy bitch in your phone? I have no idea,
I have no idea. You don't have me on the line.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
Do you. Yeah, you're the podcast. Say hi to everybody,
Say Hi hi everybody.

Speaker 2 (33:29):
Oh God, I love you. Okay, okay, no, let me.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
I've got to soften this. Oh yeah, Anti doodoo? What
what darling? In Eric's Double D News, which is his
showbiz report, right, he had a story about your favorite
singer and actress, Ariana Grande.

Speaker 2 (33:55):
Oh ship, and I just thought.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
We should harken back to your your description in your
opinion of Ariana Grande, go for it.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
Well, she's just.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
She's ugly, and she's skinny as hell.

Speaker 3 (34:12):
She needs to.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
Eat and what else does she look like? Dog? Thanks
Tony Soldier. She said you told me she looked like
a dog who's starving in the streets of a city. Yes,

(34:34):
and uh, she doesn't look that bad, Anti dodoo. She's
a beautiful girl.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
It's a matter of opinion.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
She's what, she's a beautiful pretty.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
Beautiful about her.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Oh my god, Laura Anti do do, Laura May. We're
trying to get real here. Let's keep it positive, okay, okay,
So say something nice about Ariana Grand She's got really
skinny arms. Okay, So all right, okay, that's my opinion.

Speaker 3 (35:15):
Is my opinion is not changing, Laura May.

Speaker 1 (35:18):
Oh, I know, I know. I should know better. I
should know better.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
Yep, you should. And I want you to know that
the weather in Oregon is absolutely terrible.

Speaker 1 (35:30):
It's just got awful. Oregon weather so bad. What's wrong?
Is it sunny? Is it rainy?

Speaker 2 (35:36):
No, it's raining and the wind is blowing. And I
had to bring my.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
Cushions in from the deck because there's no way, no way,
I mean, it's all soggy.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
And it's how depressing it is depressing. It's a very
depressing day. I think you need to come down and
just stay at my place for a week. Oh yeah, right,
I'd give you up up the creek, you know.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
So what I'm gonna buy you one of those fake
sunshine lights. That's supposed to help you feel like mentally better.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
Oh no, I.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
You use Netflix. You have your Netflix and your gummies
for that.

Speaker 2 (36:13):
Right, no, right, don't until.

Speaker 1 (36:18):
Oh nine thirty. I thought I was at nine thirty. Okay,
so Andy Doodoo, you're gonna have to deal with it.
We're gonna take Southwest Airlines to come see you in August.
I don't want you to give me any crop about it.

Speaker 2 (36:33):
Oh my god, I'm coming too, stopping in San francisc.

Speaker 1 (36:39):
Know, we can't wait. This is the economical way to travel.
It big deal. So we stop off for an hour
and then we get on another plane. What's the big problem.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
It's gonna takes you like five hours to get here.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
It's our plan. It's not all it's gonna afford like
a six hundred dollars one way. Okay, you're totally cutting out, Auntie,

so much, but there was no mention of me. Come on.
Of course this cuts out, auntie, do you I can't
hear anything you're saying. And you know what, it's probably
not even nice, but I do love you.

We both take care. Okay, well, all right, love you,
love you, love you, bye bye?

Speaker 3 (38:18):
That damn ye.

Speaker 1 (38:21):
Or whatever it is my phone blah blah blah. Okay, anyway,
she's a delight, she's something else.

Speaker 2 (38:30):
She is so my god.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
Anyway, is there anything else? Did you watch anything else
that you need to talk about?

Speaker 2 (38:35):
Oh? Yeah, I watched this after I was assaulted by
the keeper. I decided to watch that Netflix documentary about
the modeling cult.

Speaker 1 (38:50):
Oh that All the Beauties Come to Me or something
like that. Oh, I want to watch it, dumb, why lame?
It's not a good cult movie. There's a show that's
very intense and it's hard core and it's called half Man.

Speaker 2 (39:05):
It's on I haven't seen that yet.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
It's by Richard Gad, the guy who was in a
Baby Reindeer. I just finished it. It. It's heavy, is
all I'm saying. But it's great. Acting is amazing. Okay,
on that note, we're going to end this episode.

Speaker 2 (39:23):
Uh, have you gotten your foot?

Speaker 1 (39:26):
No, it still looks like a babyfoot. It looks like
a doll, like you just want a doll, a life
sized doll. And it's puffed up like you said, like
a like a like a like a hand.

Speaker 2 (39:40):
Yeah, like a fisting glove.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
I need help and I'm I'm I'm gonna get it.
Don't worry. I think I'm handling it.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
What. Yes, I just realized something.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
What thanks Claire. We can't Oh, of course we do.
And when are we all going to say we got.

Speaker 5 (40:06):
To see we gotta go see Kim's Convenience because I
just saw an Instagram reel with them all doing their
bowels and in front of the set and it looked
so good.

Speaker 1 (40:20):
It was getting great reviews. This has been an incredible
season and as a matter of fact, it's going to
blow you away come September, which is, believe it or not,
kind of around the corner again.

Speaker 2 (40:33):
Okay, September sixth through October eleventh.

Speaker 1 (40:36):
Do not miss this show. I would buy tickets now,
I literally would, because this is a show that is

the lead singer of Train wrote the music and it's
supposed to be just outstanding. So here you go.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
We could go Friday or Saturday.

Speaker 1 (40:59):

Speaker 2 (41:00):

you're crazy, but you can say Erica.

Love your podcast. What I love your podcast. I know
you already said that.

Speaker 2 (41:41):
Can I say it again? No?
