In one sentence, the purpose of the show is to educate, motivate and entertain in such a way that we improve political and social discourse. We live in interesting times. We’ve just witnessed one of the most divisive elections in U.S. history. We’ve watched people riot because they didn’t like the outcome. That’s something we’re used to seeing in third world countries, not in the United States of America. It’s sad commentary on the state of the nation. If there’s at least one good thing to come from this election, it’s that most people at this point are keenly aware of the monolithic bias of the mass media. We now live in a post-objective journalistic world. This is a good thing so long as it raises people’s awareness that they need to employ their critical thinking skills when listening to the news, regardless of source.
