Friday night games this year Iowa October ninth in Seattle
and then at Purdue on the sixteenth of October.

are who are the Seahawk road besides the divisional opponents?

Eagles okay, Commanders okay, Broncos okay, Raiders okay, Panthers so

of my favorite trips were going down to Arizona on

then doing the show Friday, and then coming back for
a game in Tempee on Saturday.

kind of preoccupied. So as soon as we grabbed Tony
with throw them on the ear. Are we still good
with the move to the Big ten? And look, maybe

you weren't from the start, guys. I remember the day
it was announced we're doing a show from Jimmy's. I
don't know why we were down there. We were doing
a show from Jimmy's, and the story came out that
you Dub and Oregon, we're gonna go to the Big
ten with USC and UCLA. And I remember going to
Jimmy's and if you remember, Dick Ian and Jessmon were,
they are doing a show at Jimmy's before us, and

they were freaking despondents. They were not happy. I mean,
they both looked like they'd seen a ghost. To be
honest with you, and I don't blame him for feeling
that way. I would have felt the exact same way.
But I remember going on the air with you that
day and literally saying on the show man. I feel
like I want to cry, like I was so happy
that you Dub was going to be invited to this party.
(04:00):
College football is moving on with this big festival and
we're getting a ticket. We're going to be front row
and center. So here we are two years in basketball.
Let's face it. There's reasons for it. Injuries one of them.
But basketball, I think we'd be being a little bit
dishonest if we said it was anything sort of a
disaster so far, absolute disaster.

But it was a basketball in the last five years anyway,
that's right.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
But basketball has been an absolute disaster if we're resetting everything.

Once we moved to the Big Ten.

Football has been okay, and there's context for that because
of what Jedfish took over. The travel schedule has been
obviously bonkers for a lot of people.

You're making not as much money as other schools in
the Big Ten, but you're making more money than what
you would have made if you'd stayed in the Pac
twelve with the Apple deals. So let's do a little

We're relevant, We're in a relevant conference and there's only
two left, and I think more war schools are going
to eventually go into those two relevant conferences, and just
all indications are that if you're not a member of
the Big Ten or the SEC going over the next five, ten,
fifteen years, you're just going to be left behind.

So we had to jump on that boat when we did.

Right, because remember it was August of twenty twenty three,
and then they played one more season in the Pac
twelve as a football team, then they had the basketball season,
and the Huskies won that last ever game with Oregon,
which I gotta be honest with you, is one of
my favorite wins of all time in Husky football history.

Were you there by the way for that game? I
was not the one here, I was not in vague
going down there.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
And I remember the week of the game, everybody, including Gonzana, oh,
this is not the same Oregon team.

You guys saw earlier in the year.

They're pissed off, they're demolishing everybody, and that Vegas gave
him no chance. They were like one point, yeah, ten
and a half point underdogs in that game. And remember
the Huskies came out and rolled out early on them,
and Orgon came back and we thought they're gonna blow it,
and then the Huskies came back and took the lead
and Quinton Moore had that touchdown and then one of
my favorite sequences. I know, you guys maybe don't think

about it as highly as I do, or maybe you do,
but first and twenty after Nate Caleppo's holding call and
Dylan Johnson said, I got it, I got it, just
give me the damn ball and shoved.

Three straight drive, bang bang boom over. Only thing that
would have made it better is if he were to
scored on that last play and literally shoved it up
their backside.

the fact that they were leaving for the Big ten
made that game even more special because you knew it
was the last one.

the USCUCLA, the only direction to t was to go
to the Big Ten. So the idea of like checking in,
are we happy with it? Like it's the it was

is look at What Ryan walters has done in his

College football is moving on with this big festival and
we're getting a ticket. We're going to be front row
and center. So here we are two years in basketball.
Let's face it. There's reasons for it. Injuries one of them.
But basketball, I think we'd be being a little bit
dishonest if we said it was anything sort of a

and Quinton Moore had that touchdown and then one of
my favorite sequences. I know, you guys maybe don't think
