Ramona and it's out there. It's been less than a year.
I think the sale was official in October. Genie Buss
is still on her deal to hang around, and I
don't think her shares, which are of course not as
much as they were and not a majority share, are

not affected by this. But yeah, they sold it to
Bob Eiger and Josh Kushner, a couple of really rich guys,
and Jared Kushner's bro right correct twelve and a half
billion dollars two and a half billion more than they
sold it for last summer. I guess it's just the

same news that you saw. And of course there's all
kinds of theories and conspiracy theories and people talking about
things that certainly are not on my level of understanding.
As an old short yardage tailback and somebody who enjoys
dancehall reggae as a pastime and reads the Jamaican newspaper,
I'm not exactly playing in the macro economics field with

a lot of these people. And what a lot of
people are talking about, well, this.

like I can see all of that, and it seems

and this guy needs a cushion. Maybe he was just
a holder for Bob Eiger and Kushner to buy. Yeah,

have down there, because they are the envy of all

I know that everybody feels like the Dodgers are this
villainous and maybe they are financially and maybe they're causing
a lockout a difference of opinion, if you will, But

I will say, top to bottom, most of the guys
in this team seem like pretty great guys. And they're
they're kind of dancing on a fine line from being
really old and trying one more time to win another
World Series in a row. And god knows, I mean,
Mookie Betts has got like six years left on his
contract and he's batt in eighth or seventh right now.

This is. You know, this is not going to be
pretty in a couple of years probably well, who knows
what they'll do, but it's certainly not a hard team
to root for if you if you're around them a
little bit. It doesn't feel like like the Evil Empire,
you know, it doesn't feel it doesn't feel like George
Steinbrenner's Yankees. I mean, it's a it's a professional baseball team,
and some people suck and some people are cool, but

most of all, like the core of the team, they're
I mean, Niggi Rojas is a great guy to talk to.
Keyk is a great guy, Tommy Edmunds a Stanford guy.
I mean, they're mostly pretty. Ti Oscar Hernandez has a
nice personality, although he's not playing well. I mean, top
to bottom, they're really nice guys, softy, so you should
be happy for them, not a bunch of weird grunge

rockers with nipple rings like the Baroners. We had the
t Oscar raup here as well. He was great for us.
Blake Snell's from the North Seattle area, and I just
nobody had a problem with the Dodgers when they were
missing the World Series three years in a row. Now
did they all of a sudden they get, you know,
a little bit lucky. You know you needed the Mickey

Rojas home run a year ago to be unlucky. I mean,
there's like twelve things that happened just in that Game seven.
That's those plays in center right when the Dodgers are
really milking it like a fat cow, Like they have
a bobblehead for they have a bobblehead for Andy Pie
has knocking keyk Over. They just had a maxim. I'm
not kidding. They just had a Maximuncy shaved it to one,

made it four to three. Game seven, bobblehead night. Wow,
they just did that, and the wow there was like
a sackfly. I guess that they're going to have to
get in there, so they are really milking the God.
That'd be like Petrows. That'd be like Washington making a
bobblehead of Dante Pettis going up seven nothing against Alabama

in the first quarter of that Peach Bowl in the
semi final ten years ago, and then they got run
the rest of the game. I remember that, Let's just
enjoy this, Let's enjoy this moment, though. I mean, they're
just like trying to savor every moment from the game, son,
But you know, they were inches away, just inches away
from losing that game a whole bunch of times. And
it is interesting because people are like, well, it's not

fair the Dodgers. That's like, well, gosh, they had to
have a lot of good things to go right for
him just to win last year, and this year it
looks like it's even going to be harder because they're
older and Otani's a little beat up, and he's not
pitching right now, and they have put all their eggs
in the basket of trying to win three straight not
knowing what's on the horizon. Absolutely, I think it's a

pretty good story. It'll be an interesting postseason. Of course,
I'll be wrapped up in the college football world, which
is the most important world in the history of the world.
Now you'll be wrapped up with your negotiations to call
USCU dub on national radio talks. Still in talk, Still
nothing yet to report. They said they would call me
on Monday, and that was two weeks ago. But then
I talked to another guy who said, are you doing

that usc Washington game. That guy said he's gonna call
you and hire you. I said, okay, I'm so we're
still in talks. We're still waiting. You know, we have
a new radio voice for you, dub. Yeah, they finally
called up the sideline guy. That's right, the sideline gal. Yeah,
sideline gal. At least Woodward Woodward is now the first official,

first official full time female radio voice of a college
football team, at least an FBS team. I know we're

me about it on the national radio shows, I don't.
I don't care as much. I guess I'm interested. I
was always interested in watching Caitlin Clark play. Once. I
watched a couple of her games at Idaho or excuse me,

iiO Randals Iowa and watched her control the game and
go up and down and not just score, but the
assists and all the cool stuff. And the deep threes
made it very interesting, so I followed her career in
that way. I feel really bad for her because people say, well,
this would is like for Jordan, and this what it
was like for all these Kobe when he came into

the league. It's like maybe but physical maybe, but not
the political bs not being kicked back and forth for
somebody's agenda. And athletes don't want to need to have
a nuanced, very educated opinion on some social issue that
you can't be right about no matter what you say,

because fifty percent of the population is going to get
after your ass. And then the issue about the trans
athletes is amazing because I think I don't know eighty people.
Ninety percent of people think that it's logical that women
and men should be separate when they play sports. And
just because you have some kind of proclivity or you,
(14:44):
I mean, I accept all kinds of people, and I
love counterculture and subcultures and all the stuff like that,
but I think most logical people don't think there should
be men and women's sports to do what most of
us think should be done, which is p women. I
don't think I'm some kind of radical saying that, but

apparently that's a radical opinion, and Caitlin Clark hasn't even
said that, and she's getting in the coach as an idiot.
Every time she says something her brain falls out of
her mouth. And Sophie Cunningham is taking advantage of it
because she's kind of a lightning rod for attention and
she has an opinion about this, and good for her

that she has an opinion. It just doesn't seem like
the WNBA is able to handle the attention right that
Kaitlin Clark has brought, whether it's on the court or
off the court, or like every day I click on
OutKick or Fox News or some other I check all
the different websites every single day, as you know, and

every day it's like Cuttingham slaps back, you know. I mean,
everybody's using this as there as their platform. And it's
just so because I would guarantee that ninety five percent
of the people that are talking about this or have
some really formed opinion about it are not even watching

the WNBA. They're just using it as a vehicle to
get their message out. I have no message. I just
my message is, Man, the WNBA is poorly run. They
really suck they have been unable to take advantage of
this moment where they have a lot of attention, and
it's become such a negative thing. Night in and night out.

The story is a negative story. And I mean, it's
stupid to think that they would let a dude run
around there. I mean, what Clay Travis says, whether you
like him or not, is true. A high school boys
basketball team would beat the women. That's not an insult
to the women. It's a different sport when the women

are playing and the men are playing, much like tennis.
I thought what Serena Williams said on David Letterman or
whatever years ago was brilliant. They were talking about Billy
Jean King or something like that, and Serena's like, I'm
not in the business of embarrassing myself. It's a different
sport men's and women's tennis. And I would never do
that play against demand because I would be absolutely embarrassed.

I would not win a point. And I just I
don't understand why you know they're booing this person in
this place there. They can't they can't control or handle
their own league or their success. It's it's very sad.
It is sad. I think you're right. They do need
new leadership that commissioners. I love the leadership at the
at the Seattle Storm though. Oh yeah, I like that

ownership group coming down from the sky and ripping fans.

win it this year plus five hundred. So they are

So the Rams are plus five hundreds to win the
whole thing, Ravens plus eleven hundred bills and see the

Ravens are second, died for third. Sorry, So they're not
that far down the list. They're just way behind the Rams.
I mean, the Rams are two to one better than

the Hawks to win the Super Bowl. And I got
a theory on it that I just think that when
you have a football team like the Hawks, that, let's
face it, outside of a couple of names, isn't exactly
chock full of stars right now. Like the Hawks last team, March,
Shawn Lynch Russell Wilson was becoming a Star, Richard Sherman,

Earl Thomas, Bobby Wagner. Right, this team's got Jackson Smith
and Jigba. And he's even kind of a quiet guy.
He's not a rock the boat, you know, stick his
face out there, rah rah kind of dude. I think
that rubs off on people. I think this is a
boring super Bowl champion, and I think the odds and
people's confidence in them repeating might be a reflection of it.

I think that's true. I think that's very much.

And we're also in the in the corner of the
corner of the globe that nobody pays any attention to.

Bill Barnwell did a piece that actually came out today
of the biggest gaps for the super Bowl favorite to
the next highest super Bowl favorite and what those teams did.
Because the Rams gap is enormous. They're five to one.
I mean, nobody else is under ten to one, right,
so the gap is enormous. And look what has happened

with these teams that have had this big of gap.
There have been teams that have gotten to the super
Bowl but they didn't win. Seventeen Patriots two thousand and
seven Patriots, the ninety six to forty nine Ers lost
in the divisional round. The two Rams missed the playoffs.
The O nine Patriots lost in the wild card round.
The ninety Francisco forty nine Ers lost in the NFC

Championship game, the eight Patriots missed the playoffs. So not
one of these teams and he listed the top twelve.

The ninety four to niners were a four point six
percent better than any other team, but that's not as
big as the Rams are. They were the only team
of the top twelve to actually.

Win the Super Bowl. So these teams that are overvalued
usually fail, right, Yeah, well, I like it. I mean,
I like the fact that they're sitting here as not
long shots at all. That's ridiculous. But I like the
fact that you're getting some value, right, I mean, what
the heck? Can you know what? If it motivates them
one inch, If it motivates them one second to be
a better football team this year, than bring it up.

I know we're gonna play hard knocks clips. You're gonna
watch Hard Knocks tonight. SOFTI but one of the big
things on there yesterday was Marshawn Lynch as a Madden ratings.
Jester on the field at Lumen when they had practice
at Lumen Field, and he's going around and he's talking
to the guys about their ratings and whatnot. They are
taking like we talked about Matt In a couple weeks ago,

the guys are taking it personally, how low they're rated,
how low good the people at the A Sports think
they And that's a good thing, right. And when it
comes to Super Bowl odds again, can somebody please tell
me why the Baltimore Ravens with a quarterback that has
never named one great playoff moment that their quarterback has

and they have a new head coach coming off an
eight and nine season, Please tell me why that team
has shorter ards to win the Super Bowl than the
defending Super Bowl champions in a tougher conference.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
Yeah. Well, there's a fascination with Lamar that at some
point this guy's going to pop. And maybe he will,
maybe he won't. I mean, when he's been around for
as long as he has, obviously the guy's got Is
he a two time MVP or a three time MVP?
I think he's at least a two time mvper. We
know that. So you know. Look, I mean, he has
been one of the bigger stars in the NFL for

the better part of the last seven or eight years,
just like Josh. You know, people keep waiting for this
guy to pop. They keep waiting for Lamar Jackson to
pop and get to a super Bowl. And maybe in
some alternate universe where Kansas City to MVPs doesn't draft
Patrick Mahomes or Patrick Mahomes isn't even born, Lamar Jackson
may have three titles by now. Josh Allen may have

three titles by now. So I'm really curious in the
AFC guys to see, actually what happens. How much does
Kansas City bounce back? Is this the year for Josh Allen?
They fired their coach? Can they take advantage of that
right away and get to a Super Bowl and win it? Man,
But just going back to the Hawks for a second,
I don't find myself getting angry about this because I

actually kind of like it. Yeah, And if you're telling
me that it's a positive for the Hawks and they're
going to be fired up, then why don't we just
keep talking about how much people think they suck really
really quick? Cause I was just looking at this earlier today.

I have a list of things where you guys say, hey,
mark that we said this, And one of the things
I have marked is when the Chargers hired Harbaugh. I
have it marked down here that we said the Chargers
are going to make the Super Bowl within three years
of that higher and it's very within the realm of possibility.

I think they're over under on Wednesdays, by the way,
nine and a half. I'm taking it over.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
Yeah.

I like that. I'm taking the over on them and
the Huskies, by the way, I think both of them.

I think the Chargers are one of the more intriguing
teams to watch this year in the AFC.

I think them. I think this.

I think the Cincinnati Bengals are really intriguing to watch.
I mean, I think they've they've seemed that they've stabilized
things a little bit, and they could very well win
that division. I don't see anybody else in that division.
The Ravens, I think are way overrated. I think Cincinnati
could win that division.
Speaker 2 (24:39):
Well, let's go back to the Seahawks last year, right,
So let's just talk about how close this football team
was to not getting home field and to not playing
in the Super Bowl, Right, like you if you ran
the simulation ten thousand times, how many times do the
Rams win that Thursday night game? How many times do
the Rams convert on fourth down and win that NFC Championship.
(25:00):
How many times does Indianapolis win a two point game
that they lost? How many times do I'm going back
to some of your tighter games that they played. I mean,
those really were the three But if one or two
of those go the other way, they're not the number
one seed and they're not the NFC West champion.
Speaker 6 (25:20):
And you can also throw in there, how many times
does Jason Myers hit the sixty two yarder.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
Right totally goes both way? It really does.
Speaker 5 (25:26):
Yes, I think that your point is well taken on
the Shaheed game. I mean that the Seahawks win that
ten percent of the time. I mean, really, but that
Rams game, the NFC Championship game, I mean we led
that game all but like seven minutes of the game.
(25:46):
I mean that was a game that was pretty well dominated. Yeah,
it got Harry down the stretch. But even if they
do score that touchdown, it's thirty four to thirty three
with what seven minutes left to go in the game.
That is not over if they score a touch.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
I think there's I mean the Tampa Bay game, right,
the same thing. They scored thirty five points in that
game and loss. So I don't know, man. I mean,
the Hawks are going to have to be better in
some areas last year. If they're going to do this again,
they're probably going to be weaker in some areas. I mean,
starting off right out of the gate, I don't know
if the Hawks are as good a running team right
now is the one that ended the year right? I mean,

I just don't know. It might be as good as
the one that started the year, absolutely, but they weren't
good when they started, right, so are if they're not
going to be good when they start the year, can
they make the same kind of jump at the end
of the year and get better as the year goes
by like that one? Did? I mean? Jadari and Price?
Who knows what he is, dude. He could be the
next Kurt Warner, he could be the next for Shot Penny,

got no idea what this guy is going to be
all about. I'm actually more optimistic than pessimistic about Price
because of a lot of things, including the offensive line
he's running behind. Right now. But what I bet big
time money that he's going to kill it in the NFL. No,
of course I wouldn't bet that. I had no idea
what this guy is going to be all about it

me right now, he's banged up, right, so who knows
if he's even going to be available for a week one?
But I mean, I hot fans should be optimistic, because
what fan base is dumb enough to be pessimistic and
skeptical after their team wins a Super Bowl and brings
almost everybody back from the previous year. We have no

right to be anything but optimistic right now. You absolutely
have to be.

what they'll do, but it's certainly not a hard team
to root for if you if you're around them a

and some people suck and some people are cool, but

most of all, like the core of the team, they're

Blake Snell's from the North Seattle area, and I just
nobody had a problem with the Dodgers when they were
missing the World Series three years in a row. Now

made it very interesting, so I followed her career in
that way. I feel really bad for her because people say, well,

the league. It's like maybe but physical maybe, but not
the political bs not being kicked back and forth for
somebody's agenda. And athletes don't want to need to have
a nuanced, very educated opinion on some social issue that
you can't be right about no matter what you say,

because fifty percent of the population is going to get
after your ass. And then the issue about the trans
athletes is amazing because I think I don't know eighty people.
Ninety percent of people think that it's logical that women
and men should be separate when they play sports. And
just because you have some kind of proclivity or you,

I mean, I accept all kinds of people, and I
love counterculture and subcultures and all the stuff like that,
but I think most logical people don't think there should
be men and women's sports to do what most of
us think should be done, which is p women. I
don't think I'm some kind of radical saying that, but

apparently that's a radical opinion, and Caitlin Clark hasn't even
said that, and she's getting in the coach as an idiot.
Every time she says something her brain falls out of
her mouth. And Sophie Cunningham is taking advantage of it
because she's kind of a lightning rod for attention and

that she has an opinion. It just doesn't seem like
the WNBA is able to handle the attention right that
Kaitlin Clark has brought, whether it's on the court or

everybody's using this as there as their platform. And it's

my message is, Man, the WNBA is poorly run. They
really suck they have been unable to take advantage of
this moment where they have a lot of attention, and
it's become such a negative thing. Night in and night out.

stupid to think that they would let a dude run
around there. I mean, what Clay Travis says, whether you
like him or not, is true. A high school boys
basketball team would beat the women. That's not an insult
to the women. It's a different sport when the women

I thought what Serena Williams said on David Letterman or
whatever years ago was brilliant. They were talking about Billy
Jean King or something like that, and Serena's like, I'm

that play against demand because I would be absolutely embarrassed.

that rubs off on people. I think this is a
boring super Bowl champion, and I think the odds and
people's confidence in them repeating might be a reflection of it.

the next highest super Bowl favorite and what those teams did.
Because the Rams gap is enormous. They're five to one.

so the gap is enormous. And look what has happened

with these teams that have had this big of gap.
There have been teams that have gotten to the super
Bowl but they didn't win. Seventeen Patriots two thousand and
seven Patriots, the ninety six to forty nine Ers lost
in the divisional round. The two Rams missed the playoffs.
The O nine Patriots lost in the wild card round.
The ninety Francisco forty nine Ers lost in the NFC

Championship game, the eight Patriots missed the playoffs. So not
one of these teams and he listed the top twelve.

how low good the people at the A Sports think

comes to Super Bowl odds again, can somebody please tell
me why the Baltimore Ravens with a quarterback that has
never named one great playoff moment that their quarterback has

and they have a new head coach coming off an
eight and nine season, Please tell me why that team
has shorter ards to win the Super Bowl than the
defending Super Bowl champions in a tougher conference.

Yeah. Well, there's a fascination with Lamar that at some
point this guy's going to pop. And maybe he will,
maybe he won't. I mean, when he's been around for
as long as he has, obviously the guy's got Is
he a two time MVP or a three time MVP?
I think he's at least a two time mvper. We
know that. So you know. Look, I mean, he has
been one of the bigger stars in the NFL for

the better part of the last seven or eight years,
just like Josh. You know, people keep waiting for this
guy to pop. They keep waiting for Lamar Jackson to
pop and get to a super Bowl. And maybe in
some alternate universe where Kansas City to MVPs doesn't draft
Patrick Mahomes or Patrick Mahomes isn't even born, Lamar Jackson
may have three titles by now. Josh Allen may have

three titles by now. So I'm really curious in the
AFC guys to see, actually what happens. How much does
Kansas City bounce back? Is this the year for Josh Allen?
They fired their coach? Can they take advantage of that
right away and get to a Super Bowl and win it? Man,
But just going back to the Hawks for a second,
I don't find myself getting angry about this because I

actually kind of like it. Yeah, And if you're telling
me that it's a positive for the Hawks and they're
going to be fired up, then why don't we just
keep talking about how much people think they suck really

mark that we said this, And one of the things
I have marked is when the Chargers hired Harbaugh. I
have it marked down here that we said the Chargers
are going to make the Super Bowl within three years
of that higher and it's very within the realm of possibility.

I think they're over under on Wednesdays, by the way,
nine and a half. I'm taking it over.

I think the Chargers are one of the more intriguing
teams to watch this year in the AFC.

I think the Cincinnati Bengals are really intriguing to watch.
I mean, I think they've they've seemed that they've stabilized
things a little bit, and they could very well win
that division. I don't see anybody else in that division.
The Ravens, I think are way overrated. I think Cincinnati
could win that division.

Well, let's go back to the Seahawks last year, right,
So let's just talk about how close this football team
was to not getting home field and to not playing
in the Super Bowl, Right, like you if you ran
the simulation ten thousand times, how many times do the
Rams win that Thursday night game? How many times do
the Rams convert on fourth down and win that NFC Championship.

How many times does Indianapolis win a two point game
that they lost? How many times do I'm going back
to some of your tighter games that they played. I mean,
those really were the three But if one or two
of those go the other way, they're not the number
one seed and they're not the NFC West champion.

And you can also throw in there, how many times
does Jason Myers hit the sixty two yarder.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
Right totally goes both way? It really does.

Yes, I think that your point is well taken on
the Shaheed game. I mean that the Seahawks win that
ten percent of the time. I mean, really, but that
Rams game, the NFC Championship game, I mean we led
that game all but like seven minutes of the game.

I mean that was a game that was pretty well dominated. Yeah,
it got Harry down the stretch. But even if they
do score that touchdown, it's thirty four to thirty three
with what seven minutes left to go in the game.
That is not over if they score a touch.

I think there's I mean the Tampa Bay game, right,
the same thing. They scored thirty five points in that
game and loss. So I don't know, man. I mean,
the Hawks are going to have to be better in
some areas last year. If they're going to do this again,
they're probably going to be weaker in some areas. I mean,
starting off right out of the gate, I don't know
if the Hawks are as good a running team right
now is the one that ended the year right? I mean,

I just don't know. It might be as good as
the one that started the year, absolutely, but they weren't
good when they started, right, so are if they're not
going to be good when they start the year, can
they make the same kind of jump at the end
of the year and get better as the year goes
by like that one? Did? I mean? Jadari and Price?
Who knows what he is, dude. He could be the
next Kurt Warner, he could be the next for Shot Penny,

got no idea what this guy is going to be
all about. I'm actually more optimistic than pessimistic about Price
because of a lot of things, including the offensive line
he's running behind. Right now. But what I bet big
time money that he's going to kill it in the NFL. No,
of course I wouldn't bet that. I had no idea
what this guy is going to be all about it

me right now, he's banged up, right, so who knows
if he's even going to be available for a week one?
But I mean, I hot fans should be optimistic, because
what fan base is dumb enough to be pessimistic and
skeptical after their team wins a Super Bowl and brings
almost everybody back from the previous year. We have no
