the Wendelorean want to oh on the year with a
selection of cal and the points against Auburn. If I'm
not mistaken, also may have said on last Tuesday show,

(00:41):
I would not be surprised if Cow won outright right
up against Auburn. How about that, Johnny Wilder? How about that?
What a start for you?

Speaker 3 (00:48):
How are you?

Speaker 4 (00:48):
Man?

Speaker 5 (00:50):
I'm great, Thanks, I had I'm in one of those
I'm in one of the NFL knockout pools and I
picked the Seahawks, so I'm doing well.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Now you're having a hell of a week, man, Well,
what do you make little nervous.

Speaker 6 (01:02):
Yeah, yeah, little nervous there. But the fourth quarter was good.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Got it done, got it done, delivered a win. That's
all that matters. But I don't know where you want
to start, man. Apple Cup is on Saturday. Very odd feeling.
Both teams are undefeated. Never happened before in the history
of the Apple Cup. But it's never happened before where
this game is in week three? So what is the
What does the vibe of this game feel like to
you one thousand miles away in the Bay Area?

Speaker 5 (01:29):
A little bit weird because usually there's the build up
to the rivalry weeks and there's a lot of games,
you know, it's right around Thanksgiving, and this one. It's
not just that it's early, it's that they're the only two, right.
Everybody else is just doing their normal thing, non conference games,
a few early league games. But but it's like the

(01:50):
combination of those being the only two and it being
so early. I looked it up. Neither the Civil War
or the Apple Cup has ever been played in September.

Speaker 7 (01:58):
Wow, oh why Tangibly? Is this a big game for
Wazoo or Oregon State? Does beating Washington or beating Oregon
really have a tangible impact on the future placement of
those programs.

Speaker 6 (02:14):
I think it is not direct.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
It's not a deal where they win and that secures
the future in one of the power conferences. But I
think it's certainly important that they need to show they belong.
They need to show that they are good enough. It's
like an audition. I don't think they have to win,
but certainly they got to be competitive. You know, they
lose the last second field goal, that's fine. They got

(02:39):
to show they belong and that will help keep them
relevant throughout the season. The other pieces, winning gets them
that much closer to a bull bid, and if they
can get bull bids, that also keeps them relevant.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Well, I mean, like, how much should we be impressed
by either team so far? I mean, you, Doub's got
two wins over a MAC team and an FCS team,
and Wazoo's gonna win over an FCS team that got
smacked by the FCS team that you dub beat by
the way Weaber State hammered Portland State last weekend, and
then a win over let's face that, what looks like
on paper an awful Big twelve team in Texas Tech.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
Yeah, I've been a little bit more impressed with Washington
State than I expected, and most of it is based
on the quarterback play John Matteira.

Speaker 6 (03:24):
I didn't know what he was gonna be like.

Speaker 5 (03:26):
He hasn't thrown, you know, he's gonna have to deliver
the ball better from the pocket, but you have to
like his mobility. He's more like an actual running back
the way he moves with the ball. So in that regard,
I'd been impressed because I didn't know what to expect. Huskies. Yeah,
I've been given all the new pieces, they've been pretty good.
I actually thought that the way they started against Eastern

(03:51):
Michigan was almost like their season opener. You know, they
were a little sharper in the actual opener than I expected,
and then they weren't quite as sharp just start the
second game as I figured they would be.

Speaker 7 (04:04):
Do you think the Cougars are going to be forced
to be one dimensional? Because I think Matier is dangerous
with his legs, There's no question about that. But I
think the Husky secondary's very good. Do you think that
the Cougars have a pass offense, talented wide receiver and
an arm in a quarterback that can move the ball
down the field on Price, Sock and Dixon and those safeties.

Speaker 5 (04:26):
Yeah, no, I'm not sure. I think that's the big
question for the Cougars. And part of that too is
what kind of protection are they going to get?

Speaker 4 (04:34):
Right?

Speaker 5 (04:34):
The Huskies had the I mean they were in the
back of a lot over the weekend.

Speaker 6 (04:39):
I think had eight tackles for loss.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
Maybe it was very a lot of pressure. And so
can Washington State protect too? That's another piece and I'm
not sure, I really am. I'm not sure Washington State
is up to the challenge there. I think they'll play
pretty well on defense, yeah, and they certainly are gonna
have incredible amount of emotion, so will Oregon State for

(05:02):
this game. And to me, that's the kind of the
X factors. Is Washington got to even come close to
matching Washington State's emotion.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Right, Well, that remains to be seen for sure, because
if I'm the Cougars, I'm pissed off and I'm making
up whatever narrative I can find to fire myself up.
I mean, Alex Brink, who's a former Cougar quarterback Jackson,
you got that clip handy, by the way, the Alex
Brink clip, because I want to play this for John
and kind of get your thoughts on this. Dick and
I both talked about this at three, we talked about

(05:31):
with Greg Lewis and Mario Bailey earlier on today, and
this has been a narrative not just from Alex. He's
not the first one to say this, but a lot
of Cougar fans believe this about udub's role and relegating
Wazoo to a lesser situation.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Check this out.

Speaker 8 (05:46):
This is not in conference rivals that are competing on
the same level playing field that they have for the
last however long. This is right. This is now a
game amongst two schools that one school has chosen and
take a path and deliberately put the other school at
a disadvantage. Right, and that school, Washington State, is saying no, like,

(06:07):
we're not gonna We're not a part of that, We're
not gonna play that.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Okay, deliberately putting Washington State at a disadvantage.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
You buy that?

Speaker 5 (06:17):
No it yes, and no, I buy it in that
Washington's decision on August fourth of twenty twenty three resulted
in Washington State being at a disadvantage. But I don't
think the Huskies were like, you know what, let's screw
the cougar. Of course, I just it's it's it's a
we've got to do what is best for us. And

(06:37):
you know what, if the situation, if if the dynamics
are totally different and the situation is totally different, Washington
State and Oregon State would have done the same thing.
Everybody does it. It's the unfortunate reality of realignment that
you have to you have to do what's in your
own self interest. And I do not think that the
Washington folks wanted to put the cops in a bad spot,

(07:02):
but they had to do it was best for their school.

Speaker 7 (07:04):
It's collateral damage, and the dictionary definition of collateral damage
is unintended harm. That's exactly what it is. That which
is the opposite of deliberate. Unintended harm is the opposite
of the word deliverate. John Wilner joining us, Jonah Coleman, John,
you've been watching him run more than Husky fans have

(07:25):
been watching him run, because you watched all the Arizona
games last year. Is this what he was all last year?
Or is he even better this year? Because this guy's unbelievable.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
Yeah, he does seem like he's brought it to another level.
And I you know, I don't know if there's if
that's true, if there's a reason for it, but he
does seem to be making a bigger impact than he
did with with Arizona last year. Maybe Washington's offensive line
is blocking better, maybe he's faster, I don't know, but

(07:58):
this is not the guy that I remember. I remember
somebody who was very good, and this guy is like
elite the way he's been running.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
John Wilner with US Courtesia simply seeat on the Civil
War is on Saturday. I don't know if people have
gone back to calling it the Civil War, but I'm
just going to call it that whatever. It's a civil
war to mean, Oregon barely gets by Boise, they barely
get by Idaho. Is there something wrong in Eugene with
that football team right now?

Speaker 6 (08:26):
There is?

Speaker 5 (08:27):
The offensive line is not very good. I mean, they've
allowed seven sacks in two games. All of last year
they allowed five sacks, right so, and they've also you know,
they've got the penalties, communication breakdowns, assignment breakdwess, they got
a few guys hurt, but they are not nearly as
cohesive a unit as they should be even with the injuries.

(08:49):
So yeah, there is something wrong. Gabriel also doesn't look
you know, super comfortable. You know, Chris Peters had said it.
There's just something not right about their offense. And the
good thing for them is they're two to zero and
they've got time and it's correctible. Right that it is
a correctable problem, but they got to do it pretty quick.
I don't know that Oregon State is capable of beating

(09:11):
the Ducks, to be honest, I think the Cougars have
a much better chance of beating the Huskies, but certainly
Oregon is starting to run out of time until that
that the Ohio State game is, you know, a month away,
so they got to get it fixed pretty soon.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Well, they dodged a huge, huge bullet.

Speaker 7 (09:28):
They should have lost that game on Saturday night, no
question about it. John, John, back to the Dogs real quick.
You wrote about the Dog's Bowl chances and what this
game means for those bowl chances. I wasn't even really
thinking about those lines, So what was your What did.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
You write about the Dogs Bowl chances? As far as
the Apple Cup result, The.

Speaker 5 (09:47):
Main thing is that the Apple Cup is a kind
of a sneaky important game for them, because I think
their schedule is pretty hard. The road games they've got
are they don't any gimme road games. Rutgers is pretty
good obviously, you know, Penn State is a tough game, right,
and they got Oregon and whether they got to go

(10:10):
to Indiana to I think Indiana's pretty good actually under
their new coach.

Speaker 6 (10:14):
And then you look at the home games.

Speaker 5 (10:16):
So I went through the whole schedule of the final
nine games, and I figured out if they win the
Apple Cup, what do they gotta do?

Speaker 6 (10:22):
If they lose the Apple Cup, what are they got
to do?

Speaker 5 (10:24):
And given that, really there's only like two games that
I would call gimmes, which is Northwestern and UCLA in Seattle. Yeah,
they got a lot more margin for error if they
win the if they win the Apple Cup. If they
don't win the Apple Cup, it could end up getting
a little tight because the road schedule is pretty hard

(10:45):
and there's a lot of travel involved, and you don't
know how they're going to react with the travel and
all that stuff.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Well, I it's pretty simple. You win the game Saturday,
you're halfway home to a ball game. If you lose
the game, Saturday. Who says you're good enough to go
on the road and be Rutgers. I mean, if you
can't beat Wazoo on Saturday narrative, So are you really
good enough to go win a game like the Rutgers
game in a couple of weeks from now? I mean,
Michigan's in some you know, chaos, But are you good
enough to even hang with the Michigan Wolverines? And you know,

(11:12):
people were asking about the kickoff times. John Wilner's with us,
and they just announced the Northwestern game for next Saturday.
It took advantage of the twelve day window four o'clock
kickoff over on FS one. So we just expect that
the bigger games like the Michigan game, Iowa game, Penn
State game, Oregon game are all going to be six
day windows like they've always been.

Speaker 5 (11:34):
No, I don't think necessarily six day. The Michigan game.

Speaker 6 (11:40):
Well, we know it's not going to be at nine.

Speaker 5 (11:42):
I was actually looking at that that because I'm coming
up there for that game.

Speaker 6 (11:47):
My guess is that will be the twelve thirty.

Speaker 5 (11:50):
I don't think Michigan's gonna want to play seven thirty
Eastern time kickoff to be honest, on NBC, I don't
think they'll want that slot. So you know, the Big
ten has got certainly no more six day windows than
the PAC twelve had, which was four. So I think
we'll know the Michigan kickoff time two Mondays before. It

(12:11):
won't be till the November, the November games before they
start using those six days.

Speaker 7 (12:16):
How will How does the end season Big ten TV
selection work? I mean, who's got the first DIBs and
the second DIBs? How do we how do we go
through that point?

Speaker 5 (12:25):
Well, the first DIBs, that's the changes, right, It's it's Fox, NBC,
and CBS. And the unique piece of it is that
they have basically created each of them has their own window.

Speaker 6 (12:38):
Right.

Speaker 5 (12:38):
Fox is the nine AM, CBS is twelve thirty, NBC
is four to thirty. So if it's a week that
CBS has picked first, the best game is going to
be on a twelve thirty. That's what happens next week,
USC at Michigan is CBS at twelve thirty because they
had first pick for that week. Right, Oregon State or sorry,

(13:03):
the Oregon will higher State.

Speaker 9 (13:05):
Game, right, that is that's gonna end up being four
thirty because I believe Fox rated it.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
The John will put you back on hold.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
It sounds like it just jumped into a hot tub
by the way, or maybe there's like a giant windstorm coming,
remember something like that. So Jackson will get you all
figured out and we'll get John taken care of. But
eight thirty pre game Saturday eleven thirty on Saturday, Tony
and Cam will take over officially, and John.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
Do we have you back now? Yeah? John, goad and
finish your thought. Your phone was breaking up there TV.

Speaker 6 (13:43):
I was rambling about TV.

Speaker 10 (13:44):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
Well, that's all we do is ramble here. But it's really.

Speaker 5 (13:47):
Interesting because all of the you know, there will be
one or two Washington games still on Big ten network
is my guess, but a lot all the big games
will be on broadcast television.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
Right all right, John Wilner with us, John, I gotta
ask you about what's happening in Colorado. They get hammered
by Nebraska over the weekend. Is this where the wheels
fall off the bus in Boulder for Deon Sanders starting
right now?

Speaker 5 (14:11):
This game at Colorado State, to me is a huge
game for Dion's tenure because the Colorado State took him
to overtime in Boulder last year. And if they can,
if they beat them and they're one to two going
into Big Twelve and they have a hard Big Twelve schedule,
they drew all the good teams in the Big Twelve,
then you can see how this is gonna unravel a

(14:33):
little bit for him. And if it starts to unravel,
you wonder what the tolerance level will be for a
lot of the stuff that's going on that right now,
Colorado can kind of turn turn their head on It.

Speaker 7 (14:45):
Almost seems like Fox, we're gonna get to the point
where they're just jamming Colorado down our throats, right and
and we'll.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
They're watching, We're all watching, We're watching it.

Speaker 7 (14:53):
I mean, I guess that's the question, right John, When
do we stop? When does Colorado stop being an attraction
and just starts becoming a you know, a two and
four football team that nobody cares about? Or are we
still not down that road yet?

Speaker 6 (15:08):
No?

Speaker 5 (15:09):
Not yet, But I think that's exactly right. If they
get to like two and four, two and five, they
will lose steam. That happened last year. Remember they were
so hot in September. Everybody was watching similar this year.
They had a really good rating for the North Dakota
State game, and they had a very good rating for Nebraska.
But if they start losing, they're gonna, you know, they

(15:29):
will kind of fade from from the radar a little bit.
And and again, you know, the primary Fox game is
usually gonna be a big ten game, not Colorado.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
Yeah, all right, before you go, great start for you
one to zero with the pick of Cow and the
points against Auburn. Last Saturday, giant win for Justin Wilcox
and the caw Bears. Windlorean is back for week number two.
Who do you like this week?

Speaker 3 (15:55):
Master?

Speaker 5 (15:56):
Well, I was thinking I should probably since we didn't
do the first week?

Speaker 6 (16:00):
Can I pick two?

Speaker 5 (16:01):
Can I pick the Apple Cup in the Civil War?

Speaker 3 (16:03):
As many as you want have had it? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (16:04):
All right? What did we got?

Speaker 5 (16:06):
What's the current line on the Apple.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Let's see, Civil War is sixteen and the Apple Cup
is Remember the four and a half?

Speaker 3 (16:16):
You doub four and a half?

Speaker 6 (16:18):
All right, I'm gonna pick the Beavers, okay to cover
and I'm picking the Huskies.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
Beaves plus the thour and a half and half? Gotcha? Gotcha?

Speaker 6 (16:26):
Four and a.

Speaker 5 (16:26):
Half is a is a little low, especially when you
take into account you know it's not it's certainly not
a home game for the Cougars.

Speaker 6 (16:34):
What is the ticket sale situation?

Speaker 2 (16:35):
By the way, the latest we heard is that WA
was it was not sold a lot of tickets at all.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
Like it's maybe ten to one, you dubbed.

Speaker 6 (16:44):
Okay, and do you think it'll be close to pull No.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
I think by game time the crowd will look respectable.
I think it'll be sixty fifty, high fifties, low sixties.
But there's going to be a noticeable few thousand seats
open for sure.

Speaker 5 (16:59):
Okay, So it's mostly going to be a road atmosphere
for the Cougars.

Speaker 6 (17:03):
I think, yeah, four and a half to meet. It's
a little bit low, a little low.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
I like the Husky, all right, beaves and the points
in the Civil War Huskies and the points in the
Apple Come all right, Johnny, we'll talking a week and
enjoying the weekend US on.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
Thanks guys, all right, John Wilner with.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
US Brian Schmittzer coming up five forty five this weekly
visit and then Andy Garcia is the play by play
voice for NIU football. After they beat Notre Dame on Saturday.
He's going to join us in the six pm hour.
Some big news for the Mariner rotation. And it's not good.
If you're on the Dare to Dream Express like me.
We may have just lost part of the axle for

(17:39):
a couple of weeks. Next on ninety three three KJRFM, Love.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
From the R and R Foundation Specialists Broadcast Studio. Now
back to Softie and Dick on your Home for the
Huskies and the Creek in Sports Radio ninety three point
three kJ R FM.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
All right, Brian Schmetze joins in. About fifteen Andy Garcia.
You know Andy Garcia, he's the voice of NIU football.
Maybe for people that don't know, we should remind him
what Andy did over the weekend.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
H a little bit. Sure, he's lining it up.

Speaker 11 (18:09):
Five seconds left, then I you up sixteen fourteen sixty
two yorder snap hoole jeus kick.

Speaker 6 (18:16):
This fuck it, fucked it fucked.

Speaker 12 (18:18):
Big, big Huskies done it. The Huskies with the biggest
upset and au his story.

Speaker 3 (18:27):
How about that it's a good day when Notre Dame loses.
It's a better day. When Notre Dame loses.

Speaker 7 (18:33):
To a non Power five school, It's even better day.
When Notre Dame loses at home to a non Power
five school. I mean, it's just it's beautiful.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
I don't know if the younger folk understand why we
have so much disdain for Notre They don't, because when
Dick and I were growing up, there was massive amounts
of arrogance coming from South Bend for no reason.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Notre Dame is.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
The Dallas Cowboys of college foot That's exactly right, Okay,
that connects. They have not won a national championship since
the eighties, and they think they're the cock of the wall.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
It's exactly boom in like why we hate Notre Dame
in a nutshell right there.

Speaker 13 (19:05):
I think that still connects for young people like I've
always seen as a thirty two year old, I've always
seen Notre Dame as exactly that the Cowboys. I mean,
remember the national championship. They were game, they were in Alabama.
They were talking smack like they watch us, We're finally back,
and then they lost by like fifty points, might have
been thirty, but still like that was a man title game.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
When his girlfriend was in Danda, right right.

Speaker 13 (19:24):
They always talked all the ish and they can't back
it up ever.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
The Dallas Cowboys have been in a Super Bowl more
recently than Notre Dame has won a national championship.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
I mean, honestly, like Dallas has more right to seven.

Speaker 8 (19:37):
Eighty eight?

Speaker 3 (19:37):
Was a rocket? Is smile? Put believe it was eighty eight?
I believe it was eighty eight? Yeah, rocket suh.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
So we got some breaking news here to get to
Luis Castillo is on the io with a hamstring injury.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
He's out for a couple of weeks.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
And then Chris Daniels of Komo reporting that the league
the NBA will address expansion quote this season, meaning the
season starts in late October, in November that season, and
that the NBA is paying attention to the upcoming exhibition
game at Climate Pledge Arena on October the eleventh. So

(20:13):
can you imagine Adam Silver says, well, you had the
NBA game and nobody showed up, So no team for you.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
Okay. That that is.

Speaker 7 (20:22):
The only part of that story that kind of kind
of confuses me, Like we're getting a team regardless of
there's nineteen thousand or fourteen thousand at that basketball Well.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
Who was the last was it? It was Durant? Right,
Golden State against Portland. Who did they the Clippers?

Speaker 3 (20:37):
I think it was last year as well. No, there
was one last year. They've been like the last couple
of them. They done well, right, Yeah, they've both done well. Okay,
it wasn't like the Warriors one.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
That was because that had Durant coming back, and that
game you saw, well, they're gonna do this for a
freaking practice game, then what the hell? Look, selling tickets
for the Sonics and putting butts in the seats should
be the least of Adam Silver's concerning. Honestly, we had
a baseball team that sucks and they're getting thirty thousand
a game. Okay, I mean that should not be what
anybody should be concerned about. So that's going on. And

(21:07):
then I watched the Tyreek Hill video. I did. That's
a tykill video. I'm certain I'll bring this up, have
a take on this, and everyone will be just fine
and we'll just move on and nobody will have any
commentary whatsoever on the text line. I mean, this is
just the problem with these types of conversations, is that
nobody can just talk about this without losing their brain.

Speaker 3 (21:27):
Well, you and I can can.

Speaker 7 (21:29):
We I hope it can you and I can that
the Texters aren't going to be able to react without
losing their brands.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
Here's what you and I can talk without losing our brain.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
I want so badly to get away from having conversations
like this, and then if you disagree with somebody's opinion,
you get labeled X. If you disagree with them, you
get labeled. Why if you're pro Tyreek Hill, then you're
anti cop. And if you're pro cop, then you're anti
Hill and you're a racist, right, I mean, it's like
you're either on one.

Speaker 3 (21:57):
Side or the other.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
Unfortunately, there's there's no conversation to be had here, Like
we got to pick teams, and I gotta be totally
honest with you. One of the reasons why I just
get tired of bringing this stuff up is because I'm
just tired of picking teams. Like this is just dumb, right,
Like pick teams really, like all of us have to
just be divided every conversation we have, whether it's Cougar's,
Husky's Huskies, Ducks, Seahawks, Niners, Tyreek Hill Police, Scottie Scheffler Police,

(22:25):
there's always a team that we have to be on.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
And I'm tired of being on a team. I'm just
sick of it, right.

Speaker 2 (22:31):
I just want to have these conversations and actually listen
to what you say.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
You listen to what I say.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
Jackson ways in the audience weighs in, and hey, maybe
we learn something, maybe we change our mind, maybe we
see something from a different perspective.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
Blah blah blah. I mean, look, I'll just tell you.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
I've watched the video and my initial reaction is that
I think Tyreek.

Speaker 3 (22:49):
Hill blew it.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
I think when you have a police officer that is
standing over your car that has pulled you over with
tinted windows, and the officer to roll the window down
and you don't comply, and you roll it back up.
At that point, the police officer is immediately on the defensive,
has no idea what's happening behind that glass none probably

(23:11):
can't see what Tyreek Hill is doing. Is he reaching
for a gun? What's going on behind that glass? I
got no clue. I'm a police officer. Every day, I
put my life on the line. I face danger every
single day as a cop, every single day. So do
I believe that if there's a person or a group
of people in the country that is allowed to maybe

(23:32):
have a little bit of a quicker mechanism, to be
on the defensive and use force to diffuse a situation.

Speaker 3 (23:38):
That it's a police officer.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
You're damn right, because we ask these men and women
every single day to protect themselves and to protect us
from violence and criminals. They put their lives on the line.
They deserve the right to be a little more defensive
when they believe that somebody potentially is putting them in
harm's way. And look, I think tyreek Hill just keeps

(24:01):
the window down, he keeps his hands where the cop
can see him. None of this stuff happens. Okay, So
I just think for me, that's where I start with
this situation. I know a lot of people don't start there,
and that's fine. You have a right to your opinion.
I gave you mine.

Speaker 7 (24:16):
I don't think the initial officer did anything wrong.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
I think he.

Speaker 7 (24:21):
Continued to ask tyreek Hill in an appropriate manner to
roll the window down, which Tyree did, and then he
rolled it back up again.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
Which the window changes everything.

Speaker 7 (24:31):
And the initial officer even incredulously looked to the other
officers like, what the heck, In no shape or form
did it seem like he was in fear of any danger.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
Like it was more like of an incredulous like what
is this guy up to? Which?

Speaker 7 (24:45):
Which Yeah, and Tyreek was aloof he was a jackass.
He didn't handle it. Well, there's no question all where
where I turned. And I've watched it now five different times,
and I have the same feeling every single time. Okay,
is when the second officer, who was not even involved
quote unquote in the play right, the second officer comes

(25:07):
running over and says, now that's it opens the door.
Tyreek is shifted over to get out of the car,
and the second officer grabs Tyreek, throws him to the ground,
pins him, and cuffs him. In my opinion, there was
no danger. The door was open, Tyreek was sliding out

(25:29):
of the car, So you can throw out the I'm
in danger of something lyne there and.

Speaker 3 (25:35):
There was no reason for force. Force didn't have to
happen in this situation. Well, look, and I appreciate that opinion.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
I just think it's really really difficult for me to
sit there watching a video know what emotions are going
through somebody's head. I have no clue what that second
cop was thinking. Did he think that Tyreek Hill had
a gun. Did he think that maybe he was reaching
for a weapon? Did he think when he did not
roll his window down that he was funny business was
going on?

Speaker 3 (26:01):
I got no idea. I mean, we watch.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
These little videos on Twitter and we expect to know
every little ounce of context that comes along with them,
including the emotions that these police officers feel when they
feel like they're in danger.

Speaker 3 (26:17):
So look, I mean, Dick, I totally get that, you know.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
I mean, it's hard for us to have any other
conclusion besides what we're given to watch and the data
on websites like Twitter. But I guess I just want
to put myself in the shoes of a cop who
feels like he's under threat, and guess.

Speaker 3 (26:34):
What's gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
That guy's gonna arrest Tyreek Hill, or he's gonna let
him walk, and then he's gonna get back in his
patrol car and he's gonna go out and face more
danger after that, and then the next day after that,
and the next day after that and the next day
after that. So I do have a lot of appreciation
for what these men and women do, and I do
believe that they do deserve a lot of slack for

(26:55):
the job that they do, because there's not one job
in America or somebody is danger from another human being
like police officers do every single.

Speaker 7 (27:04):
Days, every day. There's nothing, are there bad eggs? Of course,
there's nothing inaccurately in anything that you just said. But danger,
I mean, we have seen many dangerous police situations where
the use of force is absolutely warranted. I didn't see
any danger in this situation whatsoever. From the different camera angles,

(27:28):
the different copcams I've seen, I didn't see any date.
I saw a jackass that didn't want to comply, but
I didn't see any danger in the situation.

Speaker 3 (27:37):
Let's get a break.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
Brian Schmetzer will join us, and then Andy Garcia as
you come off as high from the Winerver Notre Dame Saturday.
That's coming up on ninety three three kJ IRFM.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
Live from the R and R Foundation Specialists Broadcast Studio.
Now back to Softie and Dick on your home for
the Huskies and the Kraken Sports Radio ninety three point
three kjr FM.

Speaker 7 (27:59):
Well goes into the rest that back of the net
hat trick is full goals for the sound is is
three points for the men in green and it's Jomp
done for the sound.

Speaker 3 (28:08):
Is they continue to have time to add to this?

Speaker 2 (28:12):
I'm not sure. I'm a big fan of the men
and green thing. Is that new for him at all?
It's for somebody like the little aliens running around with
like giant heads and skinny legs like the greekazoo. Yeah,
the men and green. We are the men and green.
Let's ask Brian Schmetzer the whole men and green thing.
You want more of that or less of that?

Speaker 3 (28:33):
Brian?

Speaker 10 (28:34):
And I mean I want you guys whoever said that
repeat that men and green, men and green? I mean
that was hilarious.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
Men and green, men and green, men and green. We
heard the men and Green. That was Danny Jackson. By
the way, that.

Speaker 7 (28:46):
You sound like Tattoo from Fantass what I'm saying, it
just sounds kind of weird.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
It's like something Madam Monsters in corporate. Do you guys
see that movie?

Speaker 3 (28:52):
By the way, all right, four nail win. I will
be honest with you.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
I did not get to watch you guys play this weekend,
but we got a text from Jackson late was it
Saturday night? Who said, gosh, Saturday night, you'll never believe
what happened. The Sounders just won a game against a
team that didn't play with a goalie for forty five minutes.

Speaker 7 (29:12):
It was the craziest thing ever.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
So what happened Saturday explained it to us?

Speaker 10 (29:17):
Well, well, our opponent through various you know, degrees of
either cockiness or inemptude, or they just didn't think something
was going to happen. They were rolling the Dice failed
to put a second goalkeeper on their roster, so they
took a risk, and it just so happened that their goalkeeper,

(29:43):
their only goalkeeper on the roster, decided to make a
bonehead play and come out and crushed Jordan Morris when
he didn't have to and got a red card. And
that set in motion a really odd little bit of
you know soccer when a field player had to go
in for not just the last ten minutes of a game,

(30:04):
or you know Alex rolled in a few years back,
but I mean a considerable amount of time in the game.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
As a coach. Have you ever not had a backup
goalie in uniform?

Speaker 10 (30:15):
No, I would never do. It's too risky.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
Well, so why like put yourself in his head?

Speaker 7 (30:21):
I mean, was it a roster situation, like why would
he not have a backup goaltender?

Speaker 10 (30:26):
You know, I thought about it, Dick. I don't know. Look,
he's Wilford's a great coach. He's a good coach. But
you know, I mean maybe they just thought, well, we're
gonna take a risk because we're we just won League's
Cup and we're the MLS champs, and this is a
you know, game, a league game that we should win.
You know, who knows?

Speaker 6 (30:46):
I don't know. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
Well, apparently if you go to the message boards and
chat rooms the way Jackson does, MLS dot Com, Sounders FC, whatever,
apparently there's a bunch of anonymous Columbus fans that are
angry at Seattle fans for enjoying the win in any regard.
One Columbus fan said, quote, you shouldn't be proud about
that win?

Speaker 3 (31:06):
End quote. What do you say to them?

Speaker 10 (31:09):
Well, I mean, proud is a weird Well it's not
a weird word, but I mean, look, we're happy. Let's
let's let's substitute proud for happy. Let's have some happy
Sounder fans because we want to road game that you know,
nobody thought we were going to go in there to
Columbus and get three points, and we did, so everybody
should be happy.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
Coach.

Speaker 7 (31:30):
There was a report last week about Raoul saying this
is his final year in Seattle. Has he told you
anything about his future? And your reaction to that report, Well,
I'm going to sit down.

Speaker 10 (31:42):
With Raoul because we're going back to work tomorrow, and
I'm going to sit down with them and clarify a
few things. I mean, look, Raoul still our leading goal scorer,
still a great player, still can help us. But certainly
you know the article I didn't. I didn't like the

(32:02):
article because there are some things in there that I
don't believe are true. And you know, I'm going to
get to the bottom of it, and we're not We're
going to make sure that this situation does not derail
what is a really good opportunity with three home games
coming up, build some momentum into the playoffs, and we'll
solve it.

Speaker 2 (32:21):
Well, let's let's just clear some stuff up then, because
I think when some like this has written the sounder
Hart Folks wrote the article, I believe were there. You
said there were something else in there that you didn't
like him. You wanted to clear that up right now?

Speaker 10 (32:33):
Well, I mean some of the stuff about you know,
the locker room not being together. I mean, you look
at the film and I know our video guys put
some stuff out there, but you know, you watch the
team play against Columbus, even in the first half after
I mean, that's a committed team. Those guys are committed
to each other. I mean, even though Columbus had a

(32:53):
little bit better possession, we had the two best chances
against you know, in the first half there. So teams
fully commit it to themselves. Some of that stuff, I
just again, I just don't agree with.

Speaker 3 (33:05):
How's Raoul's andy. What's an update on that.

Speaker 10 (33:07):
He'll be fine, He's gonna he's gonna be fine. Look,
he had a nasty tackle. It stemmed from that nasty
tackle that he had. I think it was in the
Minnesota game and Leeds Cup or something, and you know, look,
stuff like that can happen, and you know, he's had
some injury problems, but he's still a great player and
he's still going to help us win games.

Speaker 2 (33:28):
Brian Schmetzer with US on the air, Sounders and Sporting
Kansas City on Sunday. Before you get to that, Stephen
Fry's concussion what's the latest with that.

Speaker 10 (33:38):
Well, he's still in the concussion protocol, but I believe
that he'll be ready for the Kansas City game.

Speaker 3 (33:44):
How about Joe Paulo and his cap injury, Joe.

Speaker 10 (33:47):
Paulo, that's a that's a bummer, dick, that that one's
going to take a little bit longer. That one, you know,
might still be a couple of weeks.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
Well, let me let me just ask you about the
game on Sunday, because what I see as a team
that's not very good in Kansas City, and I just
believe that you got to remind these guys within minutes
that you're superior to them.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
How do you do that?

Speaker 2 (34:07):
How do you make sure you don't give these guys
any hope whatsoever on Sunday.

Speaker 10 (34:10):
I'm gonna I'm gonna say exactly what you just said.
I'm gonna say, Look, do not get fooled by their
place in a standings. So they're a little distracted because
they're actually in the Open Cup finals, So kudos to
them that we're not going to let them come into
our place. Start the game on a good note, try
and be comfortable, try and stream together some passes we've

(34:32):
had we've had a good break. It was a it
was a good win, a good road win. We're going
to come back fired up at home.

Speaker 3 (34:39):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
All right, Well, you mentioned that you're going to talk
to Roul and if you need any emotional support with
that conversation, Dick and I and Jackson will.

Speaker 3 (34:46):
Be there for you.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
Just let us know or whatever you need, well, go
get them, coach. We'll talking a week man, all right,
take care brid Spetzer with us. I think he's got
to cover just five Yeah, I think he's out. It's
pretty fun. I mean, if Brian says, hey, I'm gonna
go talk to Rule, you guys want to come tag along,
I'd go absolutely go.

Speaker 10 (35:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (35:06):
Why do you think that conversation goes? Honestly?

Speaker 13 (35:08):
Honestly, I think I think Roll comes in his office,
they sit down, and he's just kind of like.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
And Brian says, Roll, what's going on? Talk to me?

Speaker 10 (35:19):
Right?

Speaker 3 (35:19):
I thought we had a good relations Yeah, what's going on?
Talk to me? Is he a bit of a uh?
Is he a bit of a drama queen?

Speaker 10 (35:25):
This guy?

Speaker 3 (35:25):
I wouldn't say dramaly. He's a very passionate player. He's
a hotthead a little bit. Yeah, he plays with a
lot of passion.

Speaker 7 (35:32):
Okay, So so when he's on your team, he plays
with a lot of passion.

Speaker 3 (35:36):
Right when he's on somebody else's team, he's.

Speaker 6 (35:38):
A drama point.

Speaker 2 (35:39):
There's negatives and positives to him, but positive outweigh the negative.

Speaker 13 (35:43):
If I'm Timbers fan, I'm seeing that sounded Heart article
and I'm sharing it with the words ha ha ha.
But there Tarland, Timbers fans can go suck it.

Speaker 3 (35:51):
I like that.

Speaker 2 (35:51):
And by the way, coming up next to our thoughts
on tonight's impending presidential debait, I'm lying, Uh, we're gonna
hear from Andy go next three three kJ r F.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
He's lining it up five seconds left.

Speaker 11 (36:02):
Then I you up sixteen fourteen sixty two, yorder snaphole
Jeters kick.

Speaker 12 (36:08):
This fuck, it's fucked.

Speaker 4 (36:10):
It's fucked.

Speaker 12 (36:11):
Big up you big up. The Huskies has done it.
The Huskies put the biggest upset and IU this story.

Speaker 3 (36:20):
They come to South in Indiana.

Speaker 11 (36:22):
And they knock off the number five team in the country,
n I U sixteen, Notre Dame fourteen. The football gods,
we're shining down.

Speaker 3 (36:32):
Oh then are you.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
The voice of ven IU football They're ain't a soul
in sports talk radio in this country that hasn't heard
that clip from Saturday afternoon in South Bend, Indiana.

Speaker 3 (36:49):
Put your hands together for the voice.

Speaker 2 (36:51):
Let's go of the Huskies, our buddy Andy Garcia.

Speaker 3 (36:54):
How got that? How about that? Huh?

Speaker 4 (36:57):
Guys, it's great to be with you, man, thanks for
having me on.

Speaker 3 (37:00):
I wanted that to be It doesn't get old.

Speaker 4 (37:03):
That doesn't get old. I just keep it on loop.
You know.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
Well, you know what, I'm surprised you haven't made that
the ringtone for your cell phone yet, to be totally
honest with you, but honestly, yeah, I wanted. I wanted
that to be the first thing that you heard.

Speaker 3 (37:17):
Man, when you hear that call, tell me about what
that means to you.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
Tell me about what it means to the NIU family
when you hear that call, because that call will be
played forever.

Speaker 6 (37:27):
You know.

Speaker 4 (37:28):
I'll start with NIU. I mean, we've gotten some wins,
like we've been to the Orange Bowl right Northwestern Georgia Tech,
Boston College last year. But to get a win at
Notre Dame, a tradition like that, and to go to
Notre Dame Stadium and get a win. Man. You can't
put a price on what that does, not just for
the athletics and football, but for the school itself, university,
and for me. Man. I wanted to do this since

(37:49):
I was a little kid, since I was six years old.
I was talking to cassette, to my big yellow boombox. Man,
that thing was good too. Head on my shoulder. To
be able to have an opportunity not just to be
the voice and then I, but to have a voice
to call something like that, Man, I was. I was
so glad. I woke up Sunday morning and it wasn't
a dream because I was so scared it was a dream.
What wasn't a dream and it was reality? It was

(38:10):
so much fun.

Speaker 7 (38:10):
Well, Andy's a great call. You'll have it forever. Husky
fans will have it forever. And you're definitely our vintage.
When you're talking about talking into a Catte cassette tape,
you are.

Speaker 3 (38:19):
You were definitely softy in my vintage, no question about it.

Speaker 7 (38:22):
But you know the coach talked about how he didn't
need luck to happen in that game for you to win.
He just needed you guys to play clean football. He
really truly believed all week? Was that the sense of
Husky Nation? Was that your sense that you truly believed
or did you think this was I mean, man, everything's
got to break our way or we've got no shot.

Speaker 6 (38:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (38:45):
I mean it's like when you're out of practice last
week and you know, he gets everybody together and he's
pretty straightforward. He's what you saw on TV exactly, Thomas.
He's gonna tell you straight up. And he said, guys,
we're gonna go in there and win. And he said,
we don't need luck. We need to go play what
we can play and things will happen our way and
we can win it. And I was like, you know me,
I'm like, okay, yeah, that sounds great. Coach.

Speaker 10 (39:04):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (39:05):
You know, you know, hopefully we can play well, you know,
hopefully we can get in there. But I think with
thirty two seniors and a veteran squad that's gone through
a lot, and it's a team that's been together for
a while, right, They've gone two ups and downs for
them to stay together. I think by Saturday morning, I
felt like, you know, if we can just get out
early to nice just something. It didn't go well. They
got out seven to nothing. They scored in the first drive,

(39:27):
and then they like their right. The next kickoff, it
bounces at the two. It doesn't go on in the ends,
and we start to drive at the two. I'm thinking,
oh my gosh, here we go. But then we're able
to get a quick touchdown eighty three yard er to
Ontario Brown and things go your way. Right. We had
the defensive line for and I is very good, and
they really I thought. I thought NIU the last fifty
minutes was the better team playing and simple. They were

(39:48):
the better team, and I think we showed it. By halftime,
I had written down a couple of things I wanted
to say. I thought about it. You know, people always
asking you during the weekendy, what are you gonna say
if it happens? And by the start of the fourth
and getting into a game like this could really happen,
and Thomas said it all week like this is gonna happen,
We're gonna win. And I'm thinking, now, Thomas, okay, if

(40:09):
you think so. But man, the team really, you know,
really stayed with it. And like I said, he that's Thomas.
Like I love talking to him about football, but guys,
I talked him about my dating life. I mean, he's
right there with me. We swiped left right. He shows
you know, he takes some girls out of you. I'm
trying to date, you know, as a as a father,
you know. So he's great off the field, he's great

(40:29):
on the field, and I'm so glad people got to
see him the way he was because that's who Thomas is.
And yes, he leads Husky blood that he's I'm a
modern that's him and it was great to see it
on Taturday.

Speaker 2 (40:39):
Well, you know, Andy, it works out for me and
Dick as both of us are Husky fans too.

Speaker 3 (40:44):
Just the team here exactly.

Speaker 2 (40:45):
I like that, yeah, in Washington, but Andy Garcia is
the voice of NIU football. We've known Andy for what
twenty twenty five years with his work with Westwood One.
And it's so funny that you brought up kind of
thinking about what you were gonna say, because I was
gonna ask you before the game. I mean, you're a
twenty eight and a half point Doug. You're probably not
thinking in your brain, I need to be ready in

(41:07):
case we win. So halftime you're thinking, all right, I
gotta have a call ready. I mean the hall like
sports guns are smiling on NIU where you're writing this
stuff down, where you're rehearsed again in the press box,
Tell me.

Speaker 4 (41:18):
You were so people were I was practicing a little bit,
you know, people come up to you the three game
in the press box or eating a chili dog, like, hey,
what are you gonna say?

Speaker 13 (41:26):
What?

Speaker 4 (41:26):
What do you got for this? I'm like, I get
a couple of things. I wanted to say something like
touchdown Jesus, something like that, but I wanted to be
very careful. I wanted to make sure. So I went
with football Gods, and I thought everybody got it, and
I think that's why it fit. And yeah, I got
a little screamy. I got a little screamy, but that's local, right,
Like that's it's pure enjoyment. Man. I've been around this
program for a long time and forever to have that

(41:49):
type of opportunity. It came out the way I wanted
it to. I was, it was pumped, and yes, I
did had a couple of things written down. I had
some other things to touch down Jesus, but I went
the safe route and went with the football.

Speaker 2 (42:00):
Oh god, Well look it was a great call and
I'm glad that you got screamy because I think play
by play needs more of that. There's too many cookie
cutters out there in the broadcasting business. You know, Dick
does the play by play for the Storm and he's
great at it, and you're great at your job, and
it's unique. I mean, you know, homers are not necessarily apologists.
I mean you get excited when they win and you

(42:20):
get pissed off and angry when they lose. So how
many people have you talked to? Honestly, I know we're
not the first sports talk radio show to call you, pal.

Speaker 4 (42:29):
No, I've been around. I mean I started in Orlando
because that's where I interned, down in Orlando and Orlando,
Saint Louis, Dayton, California. You I've got a couple more
coming up. But you know what, I'm just I'm just
happy to be able to do it.

Speaker 10 (42:42):
Man.

Speaker 4 (42:42):
I love doing broadcasts. I love doing like sports is
the best soap opera. You never know what's going to happen.
No one knew what's going to happen on Saturday. For
an opportunity for me and I you to be in
the spotlight forever long. This is I'm riding the wave, man,
we don't even play this week, thank goodness, because we
continue to ride that wave and we're number twenty in
the nation right now, right, we'll live it up, right.

(43:02):
We got another game coming up in the twenty first.
But no, just to be who I am on the air.
I'm not gonna have the deep voice, I'm not. I'm
who I am. It's who I will always be, and
I'm always gonna bring the joy in the passion. I'm
always gonna be excited on the air, and I'm never
gonna be apologetic for it because that's who I am.
I'm a fan of this program, and I was just
a fan on the radio that got a great call

(43:23):
claiming simple.

Speaker 3 (43:24):
And and you mentioned the top twenty five.

Speaker 7 (43:26):
Well, now it's like delusions of grandeur, right, I mean,
now we've got a twelve team playoff and you've already
gotten your big.

Speaker 3 (43:34):
Time non conference win.

Speaker 7 (43:36):
You guys win that MAC and you're probably in at
this point. So what are the chances to if not
run the table in the conference, maybe maybe go with
one loss.

Speaker 4 (43:47):
Yeah, I mean, We've got we've start next. Our next
game is on the twenty first, taking on Buffalo. It's
a conference game and then we've got one more non
com we go to NC State, So that's another one
that's a little interesting. Like, you know, they got blown
out with what Tennessee, but I'm interested what happens when
we go to Raleigh. But yes, then we're not the
hunter anymore. We're the hunted in the mac right. Everyone
wants to get take our best and they want to

(44:08):
come in and play. So I'm excited.

Speaker 3 (44:09):
Two and zero.

Speaker 4 (44:10):
Who knew? Right, You go on, you get another bye
week here, you get ready, get healed up just a bit,
and you get take to the I mean, you can't
have much more momentum going into anything when you beat
Notre Dame, number five in the country. Come on, if
you can't keep moving forward with it, then and know
who you are. And I think coach Hammick's going to
have him in a good spot. I know in tomorrow's
practice they go back, they're gonna work them hard, they'll

(44:32):
get them back off. We'll knock off all this. Hey,
you're so good, you're so good. Not so ready to
go back to work because they still have ten more
games still early in the season.

Speaker 3 (44:40):
How far is the calb from South Bend? By the way, one.

Speaker 4 (44:44):
Hundred and sixty miles. Okay, so but a little bit lessen.
You know, I drive eighty now I can go pretty fast,
so I can do it in two hours. I've a
little just outside Chicago. I'm about an hour from the
calb so I'm closer to the city. But I was bombarded.
I had over two one hundred text when I got
to the car, and just I tried to get back

(45:05):
to as many people as I can and got to
hear from people like Kevin Harlan, who's just you know,
for him to reach out to me and goes, Andy,
you did our profession proud, great call. I mean, it
doesn't get any better than that. And then I got
a text from from you, softie. I mean then I
started to cry. I'm like, I'm like Thomas Hammock on
the side, and as I'm crying, I don't know what
to do. But no, I heard from so many great

(45:26):
people and no, it was I'm just so glad it
went the right way.

Speaker 2 (45:30):
Well, Kevin's on the show with us tomorrow, as you know,
he does a weekly visit with us. Yeah, and I'm
going to ask him tomorrow to break down your call.
All right, So I'll get the great I'll get the
reaction from Kevin, who you know very well, and I'll
shoot it off to you.

Speaker 10 (45:45):
Man.

Speaker 2 (45:45):
But what a what a moment for you, What a
memory to have for you for the rest of your life,
for that university twenty five thirty years from now, when
they're packing him in in the stadium, they'll play that
clip on the jumbo tron with your voice and people
will ask who the hell's that, and they'll say, that's
Andy Garcia. He was our guy, and we went to
Notre Dame and beat the Irish. Hey, great stuff, man,

(46:08):
one more time before you leave, hang on, don't go
one more time?

Speaker 3 (46:12):
All right, here we go, hang on just a second.

Speaker 11 (46:14):
Sixteen fourteen sixty two, yorder snap hole, Jeeters, kick this fuck.

Speaker 12 (46:20):
It's fucked.

Speaker 4 (46:21):
It's fucked.

Speaker 12 (46:22):
Picked up by you, picked up bye you. The Huskies
has done it. The Huskies with the biggest upset and
IU history.

Speaker 11 (46:31):
They come to South in Indiana and they knock off
the number five team in the country, n i U sixteen,
Notre Dame fourteen. The football gods, we're shining down.

Speaker 3 (46:43):
Then I you make it the ring tone on your
cell phone? Now, all right?

Speaker 6 (46:48):
Do it?

Speaker 4 (46:48):
I'll tut you, I'll teuch you when I go through puberty.

Speaker 3 (46:53):
All right, And congrats buddy.

Speaker 2 (46:56):
Thanks man, all right, man, you bet Andy Garcia the
voice of NIU football.

Speaker 3 (47:00):
How freaking cool is that? Oh man, It's it's the best.

Speaker 7 (47:03):
I mean, it's the best when you get an opportunity.
I mean because you don't have any control over what
the players are doing, right, and so you just hope
for that opportunity. And you know, I think I thank
the Storm for giving me many of those championship opportunities
because you know, a lot of people go through a
whole career play by play and never get to win
a championship.

Speaker 2 (47:23):
No question. Well, good for him. He deserves it. He's
a fabulous guy. And we will definitely ask Carlin about
that tomorrow when he pops out. We're gonna break a
lot more to come on a busy Tuesday right here on
ninety three to three KJRFM.
