Speaker 2 (01:23):
Jackson Feltz inside the booth here in Luminfield alongside the
player Kellan.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Rowe and the coach Pete viewing.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
We are counting it down to kickoff for the next
forty minutes, and then Danny Jackson Steve Zachawani will have
the call for Sounders and San Jose Earthquakes. Gentlemen, as
we always do, we take a moment and look back
for the Sounders. As I mentioned, callen two straight draws
for Seattle. The San Diego one, though, feels just a
slightly bit different though than the Kansas City.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
Draw a week prior. Yeah, it doesn't hurt as much,
right Kansas City.

Speaker 5 (01:53):
You expect to walk in there and almost walk out
with a result. Right. You obviously had a mistake there
to have the goal. But you know, I think the
biggest word right here is undefeated. Undefeated in a long
stretch of twenty one games. That's incredible. Now, it's not
the results that you want. You want to go get
those three points, but if you can continue to be
on a positive at getting points, which is that one

(02:14):
point on a draw, later down the season, you're gonna realize,
oh okay, yeah, I probably could have had three points,
but that one point is probably gonna push you up
at least into a playoff spot. But for us, I
believe into a better playoff spot, into a better seeding.

Speaker 6 (02:27):
One thing I like is that we didn't drop too
much down the table with those ties. When I walked
into the booth today. We're in fourth place right now,
where have dropped a fifth place, but the ties are
I think both Brian Schputzer said it, this is the
MLS right any team on any day. I mean, if
you looked at the teams on paper, which we all
do before a game, and you see their record, you

(02:49):
see their goal differential, you see how much they're struggling,
you're thinking, okay, we're gonna walk out with a w.
One felt to me like a bit of a loss,
and one felt like a look of him at ties.
So we come into this game tonight with those two
in mind. Knowing that we only got a couple more
games after this before a World Cup break, right, so
we're gonna have to make sure take advantage. And now

(03:11):
you know, right now we've got two games in hand
on San Jose, their top at the table. This is
a really good chance to get after them. Having said that,
when we played at San Jose, we came away with
one not they win. It's their only loss this season
for San Jose. Brian Schpeittzer said, we snuck out on
that one.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Right.

Speaker 5 (03:28):
So when you talk about these two teams though, especially
with coaches like Bruce Arena and Brian Spencer, right, they
find a way to win. Everyone doubted San Jose the
season they've had in the past year and a half,
and they think okay, and then all of a sudden,
the Bruce Arena effect, the two year Bruce Arena effect.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
He comes in the.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
First year, he changes some things up. The second year
you see him do well. He did it in New England,
he did he's doing it again here. Obviously, his time
in the Galaxy proves that he was one of the
best coaches.

Speaker 7 (03:52):
In the MLS.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
And now you have a dco DC before that, but
you're going against a guy in Brian Spetzer who could
also change and play five teenagers and come out with
a one zero in and Austin right. So these two
battling it out of having ways to finding the right
guys and putting them in the right positions giving them
the right motivation to go out and win a game
on the road in tough situations. It's going to be
a fun matchup to see these two coaching styles against

(04:16):
each other.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
We'll talk a little bit more about San Jose coming
up in our next segment of the pre match show.
We're also going to hear from the Sounders leading goal
scorer Paul Rothrock had the chance to sit down with
him in the locker room after that drag in San Diego.
We talked about the contract negotiations that he was having
with San Jose and the odd season, and he says
flat out that he's out to show San Jose that

(04:37):
they should have done more to sign him. You'll like
to hear that.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
You'll hear that coming up later in the pre match show.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Wallso get the Keys of the match players to watch
a lot here to get to but four tonight and
four what the Sounders are doing tactically, Pete, what is
Brian doing with his Delta starting eleven.

Speaker 6 (04:53):
Well, we've seen this a lot this year. It's the
stills four two three one. Andrew Thomas in goal, making
his tenth start started at regular season game on the right,
Kalani Coziensi will be on the right, Alex rolled On
and Jackson Reagan in the middle of the park. Knew,
who also making his tenth start on the left on
the right side of the midfield, Ferreira in the middle,

(05:14):
Christian and Snyder Benell on the left side. Paul Rothrock
Albert Rosnik will sit under Danny Massovski. That's the one
change in the lineup, Massovski for Jordan from last week.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Let's scale over the Sounders bench as well. It includes
Stephen Fry, Kim Kye, Tino Lopez, Peter Kingston, Hassani Dotson
from the Federal Way, Seba Gomez, Paul Ariola, Oase Deave Rosario,
and yes, Jordan Morris is on the bench.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
But that is the one change. Callen, what do you
make of.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Only one change in this midweek match from the weekend
with Danny for Jordan.

Speaker 5 (05:46):
Well, look, you're going into like almost a mid season, right,
and you're gonna have a mid season break, that midwinter break,
as kids calling in these days, which I don't even
remember those days, but I think it's great. Right.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
You got to get the little bit.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Of connections that you have.

Speaker 5 (05:59):
You have to get new who and Paul Rothrock connected
once again, Ferrera and now Coz Rienzi connected again on
those pairings, and so even Snyder, Brunella and Christian Roll
don play these guys out, even if it's just sixty minutes.
But these guys are meant to be Look at you, professionals.
You're meant to be fit, You're meant to play, be
playing three.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Games in a week. We're doing this now.

Speaker 5 (06:18):
As a player, I'd say it's too much, But as
a commentator, I'm saying it's just enough. And as a
fan now I'm saying just enough. No, Look, these guys
can have it. This is obviously a big game. It's
a home game, and when you see these stretches of
home games, Brian Spencer knows that you have a little
bit more energy, you can go out and you can
run a little bit longer. He's smart about not switching
the lineups up at home games. He'll do it more

(06:40):
so on the away games, especially those midweeks, but at
home especially he gets an opponent that is top of
the table.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
You want to put your best foot forward, and.

Speaker 6 (06:47):
Some guys are getting there really into their strides, in
their rhythm. I'd say Ferrera being one with goal five
assists he's been He's starting to get more comfortable on
that right hand side. Brian's trying to put his best
eleven out on the field. Rothrocks coming back. He's been
in form most of the year, right, and then Snyder
Burnell is another one. You know what I would love
to see. I would love to see Snyder Burnell shooting

(07:08):
from distance. I'd love to see Albert Rusnik shooting a
little bit from distance. And as well. The one thing
Brian said to your comment Jackson is they had four
days between this game and the last one. The next one,
the turnarounds a little bit tighter, and so we might
see a little bit more change that. And then and
then he's probably looking at what Bruce Arena is going
through and he might say, well, let's put our best

(07:28):
group out and because Bruce may rotate his.

Speaker 5 (07:31):
Line, let's get points where we can get him. Right, Absolutely,
you're at home. Obviously a rotated lineup for San Jose,
which we'll probably get into here, but I mean they're
also missing players.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
It's I'll tell people now, it's completely rotated and they're
missing their best players. This is not the best team
in the MLS. San Jose eight Earthquakes. The Sounders are
seeing tonight go ahead.

Speaker 5 (07:51):
Yeah, but it's still you know, I watched them played
last weekend in San Jose, and they still didn't have
the better players, they didn't have as much of a rotation,
but you know, they went out and and tied the
other top team in the league in Vancouver.

Speaker 6 (08:03):
Right.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
It was incredible. And so they're a good team.

Speaker 5 (08:06):
And like I said, we're going against two coaches that
can put out any kind of lineup and find a
way to get some sense of a result. So, you know,
come down to the seventieth eightieth minute and this game
is close and or tied or or whatever it may be.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
This is this is a result for San Jose.

Speaker 6 (08:20):
Absolutely. That's my favorite point is we're playing for Bruce Arena.
Bruce Arena gets a little more juice out of his players.
Ryan Schmetzer gets a little more juice out of his players.
Look up, Brians brought along all these young guys that
have really turned into key players for the team. Peter Kingston,
we asked him a couple of days yesterday, you know,
how's he fitting in? And as he moved is his

(08:40):
stock rising? And he said, yeah, he is. Is Peter's
becoming more important to the eleven on the field. Bruce
Arena does that same thing.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Well, we'll see what Bruce can get out of this
rotated squad here today. This is why you guys are
the analysts who's played pro ball. I'm just the guy
who's never even reached that close to that level. Talking
about on paper on paper, on paper on paper. This
is very interesting matchup. He certainly Sounder fans are gonna
look at the paper and lick their chops. But as

(09:10):
we know, these coaches, they can get guys, get get
a lot out of each of their guys. Quickly, we'll
dive into the Providence Swedish team health report presented by
Providence Swedish, the official healthcare partner of Sounders FC. That
report includes Peter de la Vega. He has that kneecap
that he will be out until after the World.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Cup break Yamargomez.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Androtti still working getting back from his hamstring. He'll be
out until after the World Cup break. And nicolepet Kovich
he tore his acl he is out for the year.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
All right, we'll get a break here on the premat show.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
We'll come back and we will talk more about this
San Jose Earthquakes team. We'll talk about Bruce Arena, because
this is quite an interesting squad, even with the rotation,
even with the injuries. We'll tell you how this is
a dangerous team that the Sounders need to fear Tonight
at Lumenfield. We're just about a half hour away from kickoff.
Sounders Earthquakes coming up on sports Radio and mighty three

(10:00):
point three KJRFM.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Now back to Seattle Sounders. Sucker on Sports Radio ninety
three point three kjr FM.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
Welcome back to Luminfield, Seattle Sounders tonight facing off against
the top team in the Western Conference, the San Jose Earthquakes.
They have been on an absolute heater to start this season,
nine to one to two twenty nine points. As p
Fewing mentioned, their only loss coming against the Sounders down
in San Jose a couple months ago. But tonight a

(10:34):
fair bit different lots of rotation for the San Jose
Earthquakes because of this midway game, midweek game where they
are in their own stretch of five games and fifteen days.
They got an Open Cup game next Wednesday in addition
to that, they have a whole bunch of games as well,
so they're dealing with rotation and injuries, injuries and more injuries.

(10:54):
So this is a little bit of a different San
Jose team. But Callen Row as we talked about in
that previous segment, this is a Bruce Arena coach team.
And you both have known Bruce Arena for a long
time and his ability as a man manager is perhaps
unparalleled in this league's history.

Speaker 5 (11:12):
And the only person that's gonna touch him in that
is Brian Spencer, Right. I think that's that's kind of
how it goes, and so for me, it's it's about
how this game goes until the sixtieth to seventieth minute.
That's where you're gonna see the real true test of
this game. It's a stays zero zero, one to one,
or even one zero either direction. You know, on this
bench for the San Jose you've got Preston Judd with

(11:34):
multiple goals in the league. You've got Buddha with multiple
goals in the league. You've got Mooney who comes in
and creates havoc. So this team that he put out
may not be this one that's gonna go out and
score and win three zero in that first half, but
it's gonna be one that's gonna keep it close. And
that's exactly what he wants to then put on his
players in the sixtieth seventieth minute to go out and
either get him a result as a tie or get
him a result as a win.

Speaker 6 (11:55):
Yeah, good coaches give a good game plan. You're right, Kellen,
that's what he's gonna do. He's gonna try to delay
and not give the Sounders anything, and then in the
seventieth minute, if he's got a chance, he'll put those
key players on and try to sneak something out tire
or a win. So they will come in very organized,
they will come in very disciplined. They might park the

(12:15):
bus a little bit, but you know in their front
four they're attacking players or forward their three midfielders. Underneath,
they've got two goals and six assists total. When you
look at how many goals and assists they have, all season.
They've scored twenty seven goals this year, right so less
than ten percent in the attacking four are on the

(12:38):
field starting tonight.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
I mean you look at the injury for right now,
Victor Coast, Earl Edwards, Dwan Jones. But then the real
hits come in with this youngster Nico Zakaris, who they
have really brought up through their assystem. He's having a
spectacular there with seven assists in a couple of goals.
And then the big one, the German legend Timo Werner,
four goals, five assists. He was kind of looking of gosh,

(13:00):
he's coming here, but what is he gonna be able
to do in MLS?

Speaker 3 (13:03):
And he's playing at an.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
Absolute masterful level MVB candidate in Timo Werner right now,
but he is out as well with a lower leg injury.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
And you mentioned Callen. It's a great point.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Judd on their bench, jud right now is pulling his best.
Chris wand Alaski has eight goals in a couple of assists.
Don't forget about his Sonny Buddha on the bench he
has five goals and three assists. What I'm hearing from
both of you and what I'm reading in terms of
their lineup, Kellen is get on them quick. A goal
maybe two in the first thirty forty minutes of this
game would do wonders for the Sounder.

Speaker 5 (13:34):
He can't give hope, right A team like this San Jose,
with obviously the injuries, the rotation. You give this team
who's got two or three guys that are getting their
first minutes or getting big time minutes. Now, you give
them a little bit of hope that gives a little
bit of energy to them. And we talked about maybe
briefly mentioned that the five teenagers we started in Austin back.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
In twenty twenty one, I believe, or twenty twenty two.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
You gave those kids hope because he was zero zero
for the longest.

Speaker 5 (13:57):
Time, and so they felt and they had the energy
to contin You would go and press and and do
great things and cause havoc and then all of a
sudden you sub in the assister on that night myself, uh.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
And then you sub in like I was a sub
and I assisted. I have the game. Yeah, I assisted
that game.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
But it was one of those.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
It was one of those that you bring in ral
creates magic.

Speaker 6 (14:23):
Maybe next time you let us.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
No, no, no, I got it number twenty two. I don't
need you guys.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
I'll just run the show.

Speaker 4 (14:29):
I'll be honest with you.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
I don't even need you guys here on the microphone.

Speaker 5 (14:32):
But you go, you get those guys hope, and you
bring in a player like a Jutt of Buddha who's
going he knows to score goals and they know how
to how it looks to see the back of the
net and if it's close, they're going to have those opportunities.

Speaker 6 (14:42):
Well, and I think the fact that we just got
one goal in each of the last two games, I
think we need to not sit on that, you know,
and make sure that we get You get one, you
got to get another one, right. And this is a
veteran group that we're putting out, very experienced group, and
they know that against a Bruce arena, they know his plan, right,
they know he's got firepower on the bench. So one goal, yes, good,

(15:05):
but really you gotta keep pushing for two.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
It's a great point. Pe And also I hate to
use this as a criticism because it's really it's not
a criticism at all. To any other team in MLS,
this would be a compliment but we're now six straight
games with at least one goal given up, and five
of them are only one goal given up.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
I'd love to see a clean sheet.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
Can we get back to the clean sheets? We lead
the league in goals conceded with six Pretty damn good.
But I'd love to see us get back to getting
that clean sheet for goalkeeper Andrew Thomas. Absolutely, But that's
gonna come down to multiple things of one, not shooting
ourselves in the foot, but not also taking.

Speaker 5 (15:39):
San Jose seriously. This is not a game that's gonna
be on paper. That's a game that's gonna be played
on the field.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
So they can't.

Speaker 5 (15:43):
They have to take this game seriously, no matter who
they're missing, no matter who they're putting out on the lineup.
There's there's a reason that these kids are are professionals.
I say kids, and I apologize for that. These men
are professionals. It's going to be a good game. We
are not gonna walk all over them. We looked at
we went into Sporting Kansas City and look what happened,
right tied that game because we shot ourselves. I can't
we walk all over this team because they're well coached,

(16:05):
they're gonna be well organized. They're gonna find ways to counterattack,
and if you do keep it close, they're gonna find
a way to get a result because they're gonna bring
guys out the bench I know how to score.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
Years ago, this team faced a very rotated La Galaxy team.
I think it was a midweek game, I want to say,
or maybe they were working with their own fixture congestion.
La Galaxy rotated. You always talk about this game to
me that it was something like five to nothing, and
we took care of business.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
We did what we were supposed to do.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
That's kind of why I asked, is why can't you
Because this Sounders team has done this before, it can happen.
And may I dare to dream for a minute that
the players do take this seriously as Kellen is talking about,
and do have one of those days.

Speaker 6 (16:44):
Yeah, and it would be tremendous for our front forwards, right,
whether it's Lesofsky who's starting tonight. He's only got one goal,
right and in the last game, so hopefully a little
momentum from that. Jordan Morris one goal wasase, I don't
think a score yet, so we need to get them going.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Absolutely, we'll get a break, we'll come back and we'll
hear from Paul Rothrock, your Sounder's leading goal scorer. He
has a little bit of a history with San Jose.
They almost signed him in the offseason. Rothrock. We'll talk
about that and much more as we continue on the
pre match show Sounders San Jose Earthquakes got eighteen minutes
away on Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Now back to Seattle Sounders Sucker on Sports Radio ninety
three point three kjr FM.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Welcome back to Loominfield. Cloudy sky is overhead. We got
a cool night for soccer here in Seattle. It's been
hot the last couple of days, but we're cooling off
for Sounders Earthquakes kicking off here in just about fifteen
minutes here on kjar Well Sounder fans down with McDonald's
up today and when the Sounders win, you'll win a
free mik Chick in the following day with minimum two
dollars purchase exclusively in the app. So, the Sounders played

(17:54):
to a one to one draw against San Diego this
last weekend. After that game, I had the chance to
sit down with Paul ro Rock in the locker room.
So the background on this before we play it is
that in the off season, Paul Rothrock was a free agent.
He was talking to many different teams, including the Sounders
opponent today, the San Jose Earthquakes. We talked about those

(18:14):
negotiations and how they motivate him here tonight, here's my
conversation with Paul.

Speaker 8 (18:18):
It was documented that you had talks with San Jose
in the off season. Yeah, was that happening, And how
close were you to maybe going to San Jose?

Speaker 9 (18:26):
Yeah, that was happening.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
You know, I was.

Speaker 9 (18:29):
I was having talks with a lot of teams in
our honesty.

Speaker 10 (18:34):
Full transparency. It was San Jose, it was La Galaxy,
it was a couple of other teams in the Western Conference,
a couple of other teams in the Eastern Conference, a
couple of teams in the English Championship.

Speaker 8 (18:47):
And we know that you you said that there were
offers for more money, but you came back here.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Yeah, and now you lead the team in goals.

Speaker 10 (18:55):
Well, I'm enjoying myself and I think I'm very happy
with my decision to stay here. My life is really
rich here in different ways, and I've said that before, but.

Speaker 9 (19:06):
I really feel that way. And I really like this team.
This is such a fun team. This is a close team.
I think you guys can tell we all love each
other's company.

Speaker 8 (19:15):
Yeah, it's a great group. And we'll wrap with this. So,
considering San Jose being one of the many, many teams
and now to see what they're doing this season and
facing them again with such massive stakes to get three
points on Wednesday, what's the mentality going and facing I mean,
obviously you guys have already faced them, but still this
game coming up, with the history, the stakes on the line,

(19:38):
what's the mindset going into Wednesday?

Speaker 9 (19:41):
Yeah, I'll you know, I'll let you know a little secret.
Like I I also.

Speaker 10 (19:47):
I knew within free agency how every team felt about me,
you know, because I was able to imagine sucking a
different teams. And I think whether they we're into it
or not, that gives me different type of motivation.

Speaker 9 (20:04):
Right, A team who I know ended up not you know,
they weren't in ship or whatever. That's that's a different
type of motivation.

Speaker 11 (20:10):
Right.

Speaker 9 (20:10):
I'm like, Okay, I know where you guys stood, and
but if.

Speaker 8 (20:13):
You but if you only value me like this, then
I'm gonna go prove it.

Speaker 10 (20:16):
Yeah, exactly, or you know San Jose for example, it's like,
you know, I'm on the Sounders. Now, this is my team,
so I want to that's a that's a different thing,
and this is my team now, and it's I want
to prove that maybe they should have tried a little
harder or something.

Speaker 8 (20:32):
I don't know, I don't Yeah, that is exactly, That's
exactly it.

Speaker 10 (20:36):
But yeah, I think for Wednesday, this is like I
think our team does really well against good teams.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
Well that is Kellan Rowe after the drag in San Jose,
as he says, right there, Callen, you heard him. He says,
I want to show that they should have done a
little more.

Speaker 7 (20:52):
Is that me talking?

Speaker 4 (20:56):
What did I just say?

Speaker 2 (20:57):
You said Meh, It's okay. Everyone wants to talking.

Speaker 3 (20:59):
I was Paul Roth to talk about.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
Everyone wants talking about me.

Speaker 5 (21:03):
Look, I think there's there's a piece of it, and
every athlete needs to have an edge, I think with
everything that they do. And so the second that someone
says no, you want to prove them wrong. Right, the
second that some team says, oh you're not good enough,
or hey we don't want to pay that or or
whatever it may be.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
I like that.

Speaker 5 (21:17):
Paul Rothrock's taking that, you know, into consideration, saying okay,
maybe maybe this is gonna add a little fire, right.
I remember when I was the only time I was
going through really free agency and not knowing where I
was going to go. Columbus came in in twenty twenty
and said, hey, we would love to have you. Was
Caleb Porter at the time, and I had played for
him and then youth national teams and things, and so
I ended up going back to New England with Bruce

(21:38):
and I guess who wonted that year, New England Columbus.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
Yeah, oh no, you love the shield though, didn't you. No,
twenty twenty Columbus won it. The Reds have this shield
in twenty twenty one. Yeah, right when I left. Yeah,
thanks for I appreciate you reminding me now.

Speaker 5 (21:53):
But you know, having that little edge coach, you want
that as a as a coach, and you want to
see that in your players. I think the best person
at it a little bit psychopa that he did was
Michael Jordan. I don't want to make too much of
a comparison here, but you got to find something that
gets you going, and I think Paul's doing that.

Speaker 6 (22:07):
Yeah, I agree there. Everybody's a competitor at this level
for sure. I like the four comments. I'm enjoying myself right,
And two, my life is rich in many ways here right.
He has bought into this community, grew up here Emerald City,
then Seattle United and then the Seattle Saunders Academy. And
then he said I really like this team. We all
love each other, right. And then the last part, this

(22:30):
is my team, right. And so that is no guarantee
anywhere across any pro sports team, any college team, there's
no guarantee that you're going to have those four components.
He's got those right now. What I also love is
that he took a little bit less money to be here,
and I hear no animosity about that. He's having a.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
Good time for all of those reasons and the obvious ones.
Paul Rothork is my player to watch. Kellen, who's your
player to watch? I got Albert Rusnak. We talked about
it earlier in the pregame. You gotta get on San Jose.
We get to give them no hope. We have to
find a way to get on top of them. And
who's going to pull those strings?

Speaker 5 (23:04):
It's gonna be Albert Russak, whether it be scoring the goal,
creating the goal, or being that hockey assist where it's
two three passes beforehand.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
But he's the one that opened him up.

Speaker 6 (23:12):
For me, it's Christian Roaldon. He's the captain. I'd love
to see him really pull strings today, pickoff passes, set
people up. He's got three goals already, two of which
on cornerkick, so I'd love to see him kind of
have a really complete game and lead his team wearing
the captain's arm.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
Wrapping up the pre match show, we're here with Pete
Feuing and Paula. Oh sorry, Kellan Rowe also here in
the cool there. Thanks Jackson Feltz Here at Luminfield will

Tonight is the forty fourth all time regular season meeting
between the Sounders and Earthquakes. Seattle leads the series seventeen,
fifteen and eleven. Back in March, the Sounders went down
to San Jose got themselves a one to nothing win,

(24:32):
handed San Jose.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
Their only loss of the year, by the way.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
With a win or a draw tonight, Seattle will take
the Heritage Cup for a second straight year.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
Callen, what are your keys this match tonight?

Speaker 5 (24:44):
I'm just amazed a little bit before the keys of
the match, you've got the legendary coachings have that both
these guys have.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
It's pretty incredible.

Speaker 5 (24:50):
Steve Ralston on the San Jose side, Steve Rawls and Shawrie,
Joseph Dave, Sarah and Bruce Arena on our side obviously
with with Precky, with Schmetzer, Tommy Doutre, Tommy Duca, Carl Clark,
the amend of names that he just threw out as
a coach. Av it's pretty incredible. So I just love
to see that. But look, keys to the magic, gotta
get on quick. You gotta get on quick. They have

(25:12):
a guy who's a center back who's played for Bruce
many of the times that Dave Romney as a left back.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
Right now, can you find a way that Ferrera.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
Can you find a way Alex rolled on to go
at him one on one?

Speaker 5 (25:22):
He's a center back in a wide position, meaning he's
had to go one on one multiple times.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
Get him on his back foot and he's not gonna
have the pace to keep up.

Speaker 6 (25:29):
Service to Massovsky very important. He's gonna make those runs.
They got him all those eighteen goals last year. Put
himself in a good position, and then we've got to
get him the ball restarts are very important. And then
we can't give away any silly passes that are gonna
give them a free beat. Right, no unnecessary fels. Don't
give any balls away in the defensive's third And as
we've heard, we heard it on Stevie's notes for the

(25:50):
Games on the Big Screen and Kellen just said. We
got to get after him right away.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
What him under Seattle Sounders San Jose Earthquakes. We're gonna
get going here from a field in just a moment.
Danny Jackson will take over for the call. Sounder's Earthquakes
will start next on Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFF.

Speaker 7 (27:33):
Good evening, Sounders Fans for MEEQQC pitch here at Lumen
Field where your Sounders faced the current Western Conference leaders,
the San Jose Earthquakes. It's a year to remember so
far for San Jose. Under the guidance of MLS head
coach legend Bruce Arena, San Jose off to their strongest
start to an MLS campaign in their history. They are

(27:55):
seeking three points after drawing the last two to solidify
their position at the top of the Western Conference. For
your Sounders, they too are coming off two drawers and
they are looking to ignite their offense here at home
and jump over LAFC into third with a needed win.
It's the second game of a three game homestund for
Your Sounders this week, a clash between the league's best

(28:18):
defense and the league's best offense, and a rivalry that
dates back over fifty years. I'm Danny Jackson alongside former
Sounders winger Steve zach Quarney here in the booth. Before
we get to see for his initial thoughts, let's get
you the Delta. Starting eleven for your Sounders. One real
change for Bryan Schmetze and is starting eleven. Andrew Thomas

(28:38):
in goal as he has been all season long, a
league leading six goals against his Kilany Alex Rolldan Jackson,
Reagan Knew who are you back?

Speaker 12 (28:46):
For Snyder Brunell alongside Christian Rolled on middle.

Speaker 7 (28:50):
Of the park, Haesus Ferrera on the right, Albert Rosneck
in the ten, Paul Rothrock on the left, and then
Danny Musovski after his first goal on the campaign after
coming off the bench in the last game. He'll start
up front for San Jose, Danielle and goal of aut
for Jasinski, Roberts, Floriani and Romney Buck alongside Gonzales in
the middle of the park, Skahan, Fernandez, Marie and then

(29:12):
the man who's played one minute in his MLS career.
Addi Mabua plays up front, so scarves up Steve. The
Santa's Earthquakes get us going here. They're attacking the goal
to our right in their dark strip of navy shirts,
black shorts, black socks. Sounders in their traditional evergreen kit
in green shirts, light blue shorts and socks, attacking the
north end the goal to our left.

Speaker 12 (29:33):
How do the Sounders get three points today?

Speaker 4 (29:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (29:35):
I think a fast start. You know, you want to
win your home games. You've got three of them in
a week. You're not gonna make it a nine point week?
Can you make it a seven point week? And I
think with San Jose's lane up as well, it's a
team that's gonna invite the Sounders team to play on
the front foot, take the ascendancy, and you want to
start fast. Always film when you play against a team
that you should beat and you're at home, you want
to make it known early on that you're up for
the game. Don't make it a battle. Don't let it

(29:57):
drag on at neil nil for too long, because then
everyone gets a bit nervous to be and Si it's
fun of Sounders, can you know?

Speaker 4 (30:02):
Maybe not the first gold right away?

Speaker 11 (30:03):
But have chances playing the attacking half and maybe at
times be a bit more direct just to force San
Jose to go back towards.

Speaker 4 (30:10):
It on gold.

Speaker 11 (30:10):
But it's a home game. One win your home games.
You have to start fast.

Speaker 7 (30:13):
Yeah, As Bruce Reno has mentioned last week or so,
they're in survival mode as he calls it, right now.

Speaker 12 (30:18):
They've been healthy through the season the last couple of weeks.

Speaker 7 (30:21):
And starting to find some guys sitting on that medical bench.
Shakiras and Werner out today. Judd, they're eight gold Man
leading goalscorer on the bench, as is Buddha.

Speaker 12 (30:33):
There's another attacking threat on the outside.

Speaker 7 (30:35):
We expect to see them at some point this evening,
but for now, the Sounders are playing a slightly weakened
San Jose team who get Paul giving away to Ediburua.

Speaker 13 (30:44):
Has this great start as a horror start for the Sounders.

Speaker 7 (30:47):
It was a back pass giving up Abrewa on his
first game start for San Jose. Nips In plays a
ball back and it's an easy tap in for San
Jose and inside two minutes here San Jose got one nil.

Speaker 4 (31:03):
But it's the exact start you didn't want.

Speaker 11 (31:06):
That is the stuff that nightmares are made of for
the Sounders there, and it's a gift the Sounders team
has gifted san Jose that opening goal. They won't score
an easier gold or season. Listen, mistakes happened. It's gonna
be about how you respond to this. Before San Jose
and Bruce Arena, in their wildest dreams, they would not
have dropped on this kind of start, one nil up
inside of opening two minutes without having to do much

(31:28):
for it or work too.

Speaker 4 (31:29):
Hard for it.

Speaker 11 (31:30):
And so for the Sounders now it's a long way back,
but it's happened early enough that you still can't rescue this.
But that is exactly what Brandsch mister would have said
to the team. Go out there, start fast, avoid mistakes.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
And they did not do that.

Speaker 12 (31:44):
Yeah, they certainly did not.

Speaker 7 (31:45):
It was the fortress that's been what Blumenfield has been
twenty one games unbeaten. Their last loss here at home
in all competitions was Champions League finalists this year Perrys
and Jermaine. It was a two nil loss as a
Paris Jaman. But Sounders after their worst possible start, of course,
just a couple of weeks ago in Kansas City was

(32:06):
the Sounders to go off to a flyer with Paul
rothrock inside the first two minutes.

Speaker 12 (32:10):
That ended in a one to one tie against.

Speaker 7 (32:13):
Sporting Casey, who were anchored to the bottom of the
Western Conference. So a very different prospect tonight. The top
team in the Western Conference. The Teender's started their MLS
campaign in historic fashion, the best start in their.

Speaker 12 (32:27):
MLS history San Jose.

Speaker 7 (32:30):
Just one loss on the season, and that is from
the Sounders when they went down to San Jose earlier
in the season got a one nil win.

Speaker 12 (32:40):
But Steve, you know, now, it's just gonna shake that off.

Speaker 7 (32:43):
You're gonna rely on this little bit of experience, but
especially young Killaney, who's really anchored himself in that right
back spot. It's one of those moments you want to
take back.

Speaker 11 (32:51):
Yeah, Yeah, you got what you have to do. You've
got to be mentally strong and push it out of
your head. You've still got, you know, ninety minutes of
course ahead of you.

Speaker 5 (32:59):
Here.

Speaker 11 (32:59):
It happened in the game, and for the Sounders, I
don't think much would change. You don't go chasing the.

Speaker 4 (33:03):
Game this early. But what you do do is you take.

Speaker 11 (33:06):
The game away from being in your half where Sounds
is gonna be very happy to see the board. Can
you get forward quickly? Can you get Albert Rosnype on
the board, Ay sues Ferra. The playmakers start to make
things happen. That gets the crowd back into it and
starts to put Sandals aid themselves on the pressure too.

Speaker 7 (33:20):
Got a little sep up by Brusnak deep in his
half of the field. Little risky, but it works out
and the board gets played to this near side too.

Speaker 12 (33:26):
New crossing the halfway.

Speaker 7 (33:27):
Line in his left channel, thick first touch out of
his feet, slow slings down, plays it to roth Rock
eighteen yards from the end line. Just pinched it on
his left hand side towards the endline.

Speaker 12 (33:35):
He goes a little.

Speaker 7 (33:36):
Deflection on the cross, scoot, slice clear and started. Brunell
is chasing down a Santo's a midfielder and Fernandez and
giving up. It comes the Sound as quick, A little
turned by Perrera, striker straight down the gut of Daniel.
Easy save. In the end, it was Brunelle who got
the feed from Perrera inside the eighteen yard box. Strike

(33:57):
on goal, on target, but easy say for the Sound goalkeeper.

Speaker 11 (34:01):
Much better from the Sounders, and they have in recent
weeks down the hand side, developing really good chemistry there.
Klan he's been that's a great job, of course, getting
forward into the attack as he does on that occasion
in and comfortable for the goalkeeper with a final attempt
at goold.

Speaker 4 (34:13):
But you want to see a lot more of that
from the Sounders.

Speaker 11 (34:15):
Dynamic play, intertengent positions in the final third, keeping a
Sounders a backline on their toes, guessing who's gonna show
up wear and it's starting to look a lot more
like the Sounders we came to expect well.

Speaker 7 (34:25):
In the home game against the Sounders when the Sounders
is mentioned with Paul Rothrock got that one nil win.
It was a obviously a flurry of away games the
Sounders faced in the early parts of the season after
this grass field down now for the World Cup was
being laid and prepared and there was a one nil
win where San Jose out shot the Sounders twenty four
to seven. They's supporting they didn't get anything out the game.

(34:48):
Sounders came away with one. But here bare comes in
all inside the HDR box, Masofsky has it. It's just
shrugged up by Florian a good strong defensive play by
the central defender for san Jose, but it's flick forward
on the right handside's gonna skip off this slip grass
surface over the end line.

Speaker 12 (35:04):
It goes.

Speaker 7 (35:04):
There's going to be a goalkick for san Jose here
inside the first six minutes at EQC Pitchloomingfield Sports Radio
ninety three point three KGr FM this evening. Wherever you're
listening to us, if it's synced up with Apple, but
it's in the car driving home from work or taking
a kid to a new sports event and game, we
appreciate your joining us. Sounders, as mentioned, has gone after

(35:28):
a worst possible start inside the first two minutes, gave
up a sloppy goal against the number one team in
the Western Conference, not what Brian Schmitzer would have scripted
out for his team. But now we get to see
a little bit that resilience that the Sounders have, and they've.

Speaker 12 (35:42):
Proven it so far in the season.

Speaker 7 (35:43):
But here comes for Rare in now middle of the
park out to roll don center back advance from that
central role bare gets out to the right handside to
Khalani back to roll down his brother Christian just about
ten yards square goes forward to Snidi Brunell. Who's been
a real revelations somewhat in this season is the coaches,

(36:04):
the players knew what they were getting with Snyder coming
into the season, but maybe the average fan did not.
And he certainly played well. But here's New strikes. It
actually flicks towards the back stick. It's a good ball.
In the end, faked out everybody, including me, what he
was gonna wind up.

Speaker 12 (36:18):
With a shot.

Speaker 7 (36:18):
He flicks to the back stick, headed out. It's gonna
be your first corner kick for your Sounders.

Speaker 11 (36:22):
And I think in the end Across was maybe too
good from New because they caught everyone off guard here.

Speaker 4 (36:26):
As you said, so in a very dangerous era.

Speaker 11 (36:29):
Really only Masosky in the vicinity no runs from the
back post. But for the Sounders they do sat here
for a corner kick, and you see they've sent Jackson
Reagan forward there.

Speaker 4 (36:38):
They've got three or four guys right around the goalkeeper here.

Speaker 7 (36:41):
Yeah, Jackson Reagan wide open about three yards inside the
eighteen yardbox, dead center. But a Christian rolled on will
be your man. Three goals from cornerkick so far this
season for the Sounders, Captain or see what the Sounds.

Speaker 12 (36:53):
Up up their sleep. Bore comes into the near stick,
headed away by florian.

Speaker 7 (36:57):
A good strong headed but doesn't quite clear his box
cushioned down by Christian Roaldar towards.

Speaker 12 (37:02):
The end line.

Speaker 7 (37:02):
He goes whips it in twice six and has cleared
by Floriani again this time with his foot, and it's
going to go over the end line for a second
corner kick in a row for the Sounders, and they're
knocking right now. It's a good response from the Sounders
inside eight minutes. Now that early goal ruffle their feathers
for a moment, but right back in it now that

(37:25):
I'm trying to find something from this set piece, something
that eluded them over the last couple of years was
being strong from set pieces this year. A little different
ball comes in the Jackson Reagan hits it down straight
down the middle. Could have found a corner, there was
no one on the posts. It just couldn't find that
angle into the corners and it goes to Daniel and
he kicks it out. Good play by Knew, who read

(37:48):
the play all the way as it came off the
goalkeeper's foot. And it's going to be New who with
the throwing right in front of the San Jose bench
right down below us here as the Sounder's attack.

Speaker 12 (37:58):
The north end here the goal to our left.

Speaker 7 (38:00):
Perfect evening here in Seattle, sun shining up against the
east end opposite us, but the field fully in shadows
this evening as the grass field continues to bed in,
playing extremely well as it prepares for its birth in
the World Cup coming too, of course our city and

(38:23):
a little over a month now the first game will
be that Egypt Belgium game being announced that Belgium will
be hosted here at the Sanader's facility for their training
headquarters as they prepare forward what can be potentially the
last World Cup with this golden generation of player. As

(38:46):
near he goes down falls over no foul given ball
down the line.

Speaker 12 (38:49):
By San Jose, good quick turn and play.

Speaker 7 (38:52):
By Fernandez, gets dragged down eventually by Mussovsky, the lad
He's gonna walk away ski hands having a word.

Speaker 12 (39:02):
So Steve walk up.

Speaker 7 (39:03):
Coming to our shows Belgium, we mentioned that they have
at a golden generation very much like our time watching
England in the early to mid two thousands when they
have lights of Rooney and Terry and Ferdinand and Beckham
and Gerard didn't quite work out for them.

Speaker 12 (39:15):
No, for Belgium, this is really their last one song.
With the strength and depth that they.

Speaker 4 (39:19):
Have, it is the last chance.

Speaker 11 (39:21):
I think that team's changed a lot already, but it's
definitely their last chance. And I think the fact that
they're going to be very close to us here playing
games here of course, and also hosted my long gate
because at the training center there, I think that's fantasticy
some of those world class players and being able to
see them up close.

Speaker 4 (39:35):
But yeah, I do agree with you there.

Speaker 11 (39:36):
It's one of the best teams on paper we've seen
in the last decade and maybe underachieved.

Speaker 4 (39:41):
A little bit like England in the early two thousands.

Speaker 12 (39:43):
Of the year. We'll see what they put out there.
Of course, signing players likes a dark group playing from
man so teams that.

Speaker 7 (39:49):
Rothrock drives for down this left hand side right in
front of the San Jose bench. Good tracking back by
Jasinskis he just dropped his shoulder as Rothrock inside he
goes square to Misovski. Rothrock, it comes from Christian they'll
drop the shoulder by a wrathrog just pushing the ball
back forced out by a wall of Navy blue and
black shirts to defend him by San Jose. As the

(40:11):
Sounders try to find a little pocket of space here
they come with Brunelle gets dragged down. No foul, little
obvious from here for referee just a few yards away,
doesn't give anything as San Jose try to wriggle free
and the Sounders recover and try the ball all the
way back to Andrew Thomas.

Speaker 11 (40:28):
I think you mentioned in Moments of Gold Daniel. I
think it's been a good response by the Sounders. You
could see it very easy to feel bad for yourself,
put your heads down, responded very.

Speaker 7 (40:35):
Well, it comes to rising now good ball down the
right inside. Kilani has it inside the h of yard box.
Ryanside to Ferrera, is now there the target? The ball
came back to him. Well, it's about twelve yards out
just right of center. Ball cut back. It was on
a plate really for Ferrera couldn't keep it down. Sky's
the ball over the top. Goal kick remains one nil
San Jose.

Speaker 11 (40:56):
Yeah, only the finish was missing here from sues Ferrera.
That play fantastic. Calani does really well by just delaying, delaying,
getting picking for out as he made a good run
dropping and you've got to hit the target pay off.
He's quantity from that distance. It's a good pass into him.
You want to at least be making a bookie can
work for something then well.

Speaker 7 (41:15):
Sounders FC Socket is presented by Provident, Swedish official healthcare partner.

Speaker 12 (41:19):
Of Sounders FC.

Speaker 7 (41:21):
Get here in the thirteenth minute San Jose, top of
the Western Conference.

Speaker 12 (41:26):
They lead one nil after an early goal.

Speaker 7 (41:30):
Sounders coming into this game in fourth position equal points
to LAFC wos out a couple of extra games and
the Sounders so Sounders with a positive result tonight.

Speaker 12 (41:38):
Can leap frog LAFC.

Speaker 7 (41:43):
Early kickoff here an hour or so earlier, so fans
continue to kind of stream into the stadium. The stain
is now filling up, but the ball is in behind.
It comes with Mussovsky inside the eighteen yard board. Was
looking across and it's a great challenge by the San
Jose defender. Think it's Floriani coming back.

Speaker 12 (42:00):
Slid made the block.

Speaker 7 (42:02):
The fellow Massovski was in two minds, eventually gets called back.
I think from an off side that's uh, Missoski is
looking square where really maybe he should have had his
head down, push forward and.

Speaker 11 (42:14):
Just struck it an I think yes, I think he
has a look up he sees the strong run at
the back poles.

Speaker 4 (42:18):
I believe it was Colone. You come in there.

Speaker 11 (42:20):
If you're gonna play that, you played out right away.
Once you decide not to drive towards the vault. I
think Masoski will still head a turn. Gave the defenders
a chance to get back. The block was made. But again,
I think the Sounders team has responded well to going
a ball behind. It's all going one direction here. It's
going from right to left. Is the Sounder's pro bin prodding.
I haven't found a break through yet, but certainly applying

(42:42):
pressure to Sounds like old.

Speaker 12 (42:46):
Nan was worst. Just over the halfway line.

Speaker 7 (42:49):
Lefts of center go square to Brunell, Sounders getting some
joy working through the middle finding space. On this outside right,
it's Perreira overlapping run by Brunell inside the eighteen year
bar yard box. Ears cuts the ball to his left
off the toe of Ferrera to Rosneck left corner of
the eighteen yard box. It comes new little overlapping run
flicked in by Rouzneck, then easily collected by Daniel the

(43:10):
goalkeeper for San Jose. But another good attack for the
Sounders in the last two game. See there's been one two,
one one draws. There's not been a lack of knocking
on the door. Forty two entries in and around the
eighteen yard box against Sporting Kansas City, twenty five shots or.

Speaker 12 (43:26):
So last week against San Diego.

Speaker 7 (43:30):
But the Sounders aren't executing that final third, whether it's
from wide positions all through the middle.

Speaker 11 (43:34):
Yeah, and that's I think what's missing now is just
that final pass pointing it all together. I think we
are seeing good appronpchs play. You you worry a lot
more when your team is not gritting chances. That's not
the issue. We have it creating a lot of chances.
Everyone seems to be getting involved. Even no the result
right now, the scorn and at least a gold down,
that's not great. But how you're playing, how the team's moving,
how they're combining. Branch Metsiney staff will be pleased with that.

(43:56):
You've got to find that final piece now, that's what's
been necking so far.

Speaker 7 (44:00):
Marie making a run down the left hand side for
San Jose just evades Snider Bruneld as the balls.

Speaker 12 (44:05):
The ball drops the.

Speaker 7 (44:07):
Foot of Fernandez out to the far side the left
to Romney advanced from his left back spot.

Speaker 12 (44:12):
Of course, played in New England.

Speaker 7 (44:15):
Under Arena and the Montre Arena's team right now is
a lot of college guys who are playing involved at
their sleeves workman light effort from San Jose throughout the
course of the season, sprinkled with some quality of course,
the likes of Shakiras out through a groin injury three
to four months with surgery, tim of Werner, who so

(44:35):
a couple of weeks to get bedded in as he
came over from Europe, but nine goal contributions for him
on the season so far. He has not traveled, not
on the bench. Tonight, Sanders challenged the ball with Brunel
over the top.

Speaker 12 (44:51):
He goes.

Speaker 7 (44:54):
Soon Gonzalez as he's slow to get up from the
deck as Brunel hell makes a challenge gives it a
free kick.

Speaker 12 (45:02):
But what do you make of snyder season so far?

Speaker 7 (45:04):
I mean he's starting to establish himself really alongside Christian
rolled On.

Speaker 11 (45:09):
The only word to use is impressive. Impressive and he's
coming has been lights out. He's surprised all of us.
I know Craig Wirebourn and the crew there and the
coaching staff as well. They had high hopes for him.
But you can never know when a young player comes
into a team. I finish a team as good as this,
and he had another young players really big shoose to
feel in Obed Vargas.

Speaker 4 (45:27):
They played differently.

Speaker 11 (45:28):
I would say Schneider's probably even more advanced in terms
of carrying the board and breaking lines and being.

Speaker 4 (45:32):
Dynamic and decisive.

Speaker 11 (45:35):
But if this is how he means to continue on
gonna sound us have certainly unearthed another young gem.

Speaker 12 (45:41):
To be whipped and bored by san Jose. Top of
the box. It is clear by Knew who with his left.

Speaker 7 (45:46):
Foot over the half point nine. It goes chased down
by Gonzales, who was the man that fouled for that
free kick. Disappointing delivery from San Jose. These are the
chances you need to take when you're an away team.
Is those set piece deliveries. Sounders dominate possessions so far
as sixty eight percent possession.

Speaker 12 (46:07):
We could challenge by Jackson Ray and.

Speaker 7 (46:09):
Stuck it to him right there on Fernandez as Knew
who wriggles free. Eventually the foul is given by the
referee on Addie Mabua, who, as we mentioned, was heavily
involved in that first goal, nipped in from a short
pass by Klan. He didn't hit his target Andrew Thomas,
and it was Addie Maboua who stepped in, won the

(46:31):
ball and laid it back for non rushing Fernandez who
scored the goal. The number twenty but only one minute
coming into this game, so a few changes made of
course for Bruce Arena.

Speaker 12 (46:46):
As we mentioned, workmanlike team.

Speaker 7 (46:49):
So far, so good for Bruce in the environment.

Speaker 12 (46:52):
In which he's developing here in San Jose.

Speaker 7 (46:55):
If the ball gets flicked down the line, here comes
Skahan unc grad inside the eighteen yard strikes a good save,
good right hand bite. Andrew Thomas sk hand beat Jackson
Reagan for speed down the outside, low shot to the
farm post, and it was a really good, strong handed
save by Andrew Thomas down to his right.

Speaker 11 (47:14):
And it's a big let off for the sounds because
if skate hand had any awareness in that situation there,
it's a simple pass across the six yyd box and
it's a tapping for Sandals at the back post. He's
he kind of went for gold and forced Andrew Thomas
to get down, put a big hand to it, and
the Sounder survived.

Speaker 12 (47:31):
Reffery gives the advantage.

Speaker 7 (47:32):
It look like a foul, a said Brewing, you'll hear
from the crowd on Musovsky. But Rothrock read it well,
nipped in behind and it was just a bit of
a heavy touch off the chests of rath Rock as
it skipped off this grass surface. But here come the
sound His left hand side, eighteen yards from the end
line is Rosneck looking for an option down the line.
It goes towards Brunell step by Romney gets a toe in.

(47:52):
It actually was Jasinski who gets his foot in. It's
over the end line. It goes for another Sounders corner kick,
their third.

Speaker 12 (48:01):
Of the game, and this time he'll be on that
left hand side, this near side.

Speaker 7 (48:06):
The left with the right foot of Rousnik, and the
Sounders take advantage here. They've been knocking on the door
for the last sixteen minutes or so. And it goes
towards the middle of the eighteen sixty yard box and
it's easily collected by Daniel a little floated cross and
it's a really good throw and it's poor defending from
the Sounders, and Marie's gonna try and chase around New,

(48:28):
but New who makes up for it, gets his party
between ball and player, and as we've mentioned many times
on a broadcas Steve New one of the very best
one b one defenders in the league.

Speaker 11 (48:39):
And that's a luxury. You have death and you can
panic a bit there being a bit of spoils on a.

Speaker 4 (48:42):
Counter attack one if one.

Speaker 11 (48:43):
Once you see us New who you can rest a
little bit, breathe a little bit easier and does a
great job. Days a very very hard time to get back,
and he did not note down once again.

Speaker 7 (48:52):
It comes rough up this sound far side the right,
asking for a little bit of help to come in,
but Sounder's keep possession and they're attacking third of the
field to it's near side the left, New, who tucked
in fifteen yards or so from this near touch like
Borgo center to Rosneck, flicks the ball around the corner,
follows the little deflection and skate hand that actually just
sinds Get jumps in with his right foot, clears his

(49:12):
lines over this near side touchline right into.

Speaker 12 (49:15):
The San Jose bench. They're not helping new collect the ball.

Speaker 7 (49:20):
Lately.

Speaker 12 (49:21):
One goal to Nilsey.

Speaker 7 (49:22):
He hit the twenty minute mark here at EQC Pitch
at lumen Field.

Speaker 12 (49:28):
Sam's putting out a strong eleven tonight. Let me change.

Speaker 7 (49:32):
Jordan Morris down on the bench after starting up in
front against San Diego.

Speaker 12 (49:39):
Manso Masoski, whereas.

Speaker 7 (49:41):
The only central striker not to get off the mark
this season in regular MLS play, he did score against
Vancouver and Tigress in CONCHACAFF Champions Cup plays. Azase got
off the mark against Saint Louis. It was Jordan Morris
got off the mark against Dallas Masofski this past weekend.

Speaker 12 (50:02):
Off the mark and he gets the start tonight. Can
he find the ball?

Speaker 7 (50:05):
He's gonna be Klooney along the eighten yard box. He
goes gone stratch and he's off the post and ricocheted
off Daniel to Ferrera and Daniel's right foot over the
end line. It goes, oh, good play by Colne. He
took the ball on the right hand side. He just
ran across the top of the eighteen yard box, struck
her with his left foot and took an inflection off

(50:27):
the posts. And then a double save by Daniel eventually
over the end line for a corner.

Speaker 11 (50:32):
It's incredibly unlucky that Colanie does everything right. Great dribbling
beats about two or three guys, gets into the box
a good shrak with his left foot, takes an inflection
which forces him onto the pulf and Indiana Sound is
once again settling.

Speaker 4 (50:44):
For a corner kick.

Speaker 7 (50:44):
Sound as a knock and right hand side. For this
corner kick, we'll be an outswinger with Rusnak and get
floats towards in their corner balls.

Speaker 12 (50:52):
But bounced across the sixth getting he was Christian Orden
and got there first. Gonna slight flick of his head
and that's.

Speaker 7 (50:58):
Christian making a little run down the line that goes
square to Brunel across. It goes poor delivery on the
cross straight into the hands of Daniel, who flops down
to the ground and trying to kind of burn off
a couple of valuable seconds for the away team as
Sano as a lead after a two minute second minute goal.

Speaker 12 (51:17):
When they lead one goal to nil as the ball
comes down to this near side.

Speaker 7 (51:21):
Good play by skate Hand, who's been a consistent performer
for San Jose since he's draft. In twenty twenty, goal
scorer Fernandez to the right hand side as you left downside,
it goes and it goes top the eighteen yard box

(51:43):
finds it the game this time to Skye strikes it
are just wide, so opened up his body trying to
find that right hand corner as he's looking at it,
and it just flicks wide of Andrew's left hand post,
hits the advertising boards.

Speaker 12 (51:58):
Will be a goal kick and San.

Speaker 7 (52:00):
Jose they can absorb pressure Steve and then they're quick
to attack and they're gonna be dangerous all nine long.

Speaker 11 (52:06):
Yeah, they've not had much of the board, but they've
certainly had their chances. And one thing to respect about
San Jose is they scored that early goal, which maybe
they didn't expect coming into the game.

Speaker 12 (52:14):
Or giveaway by Alex Roldan or goes down.

Speaker 7 (52:17):
I think it's Adibadua who goes down is asking for
a penalty.

Speaker 12 (52:20):
We'll see if var will take a look. It's a clumsy.

Speaker 7 (52:23):
Challenge by Snyder Brunell just inside his eighteen yard book.
So far the referee has taken no effects. The ball
goes over the top of Reed Roberts covered well by
FLORIANI a little clumsy on that film, Steve. Nothing given
by the referee so far.

Speaker 11 (52:41):
Yeah, you've got to be really careful anytime you go
into the back of a player. There doesn't take much
to knocking him off their balance and probably the right decision.
Maybe just not enough on that for the ref to
makeup decision there, but you don't want to give him
that much to think about.

Speaker 4 (52:54):
San Jose. I'm not sitting back.

Speaker 11 (52:57):
They are defending strategically here and then trying to go
out in counterattack and doing a really good job of it.

Speaker 4 (53:02):
They're not resting on this one nor lead.

Speaker 11 (53:04):
So I think for the Sounders you prefer that because
he will leave them EXPOSI towards the back, will give
you space as well, and that's that's a Bruce Arena.
Team is the team he came into night to make
this ugly to try and plant type. But at the
same time he loves to play expansive type of football.
They're very direct and you're seeing glimpse of that.

Speaker 4 (53:19):
San Jose.

Speaker 11 (53:20):
Even with the changes they have, the team's DNA, the identity,
their way, their start is still shining through.

Speaker 12 (53:26):
Yep, Sounders nil. San Jose Earthquakes one. The score that
is presented by Michelo Ultra.

Speaker 7 (53:32):
As the board gets cleared by San Jose at the
top of their eighteen yard box out on the far
side the Sounders right. It goes quickly thrown in by
Alex rolled on back to Brunell. Sounders just looking into
a pockets of space, slowing things down as they try
to find a way back.

Speaker 12 (53:48):
Into this game.

Speaker 7 (53:49):
As we approach the twenty five minute mark, the Sounders
have it far side. The right ball goes inside of
Ferrara twenty five yards from Gold. Just ride at center,
flicking around the corner right across, said to the fast stick,
nothing there, blocked out by San Jose.

Speaker 12 (54:05):
It's a head injury.

Speaker 7 (54:06):
That's why the referee is gonna call on medical staff immediately.

Speaker 12 (54:09):
It was a.

Speaker 7 (54:09):
Cross by Ferrera that struck the head I believe of
goldscorer of Fernandez, he just crouches down. That's a good
refing saw the the strike.

Speaker 12 (54:22):
On the side of the head.

Speaker 7 (54:23):
See if you replay here, Steve, Yeah, so.

Speaker 4 (54:26):
You just look at the back post.

Speaker 11 (54:28):
Oh yeah, that's a very very hard hit to fake
to the head there, and you can see why ref
had to stop the gaming games on many put attention.
It's obviously inadvertant frere strands across the water to the back.
Posset comes out to speed and hopefully nothing more than
a quick.

Speaker 7 (54:43):
Check in well. Tonight's match is presented by Michelo Ultra.
Your Superior Game meets Superior Taste. Grab a michelob Ultra
the Superior like beer as you cheer your team on
Michelo Ultra, official beer sponsor of Seattle Sounders. F see
if there'll be some of that drunk join the world cut.

(55:03):
There's big gardens gonna be corned off over to our
left in Pioneer Square. There's gonna be well pedestrian area
around the stadiums during the games. Here at what will
be Seattle Stadium right now, it's lumin Field. As FIFA
start to take control of these stadiums, we'll start to

(55:27):
see some of these advertisers, advertisements being pulled down and
FIFA just neutralizing what is around the stadium now as
they get prepared for these.

Speaker 12 (55:41):
First games coming up.

Speaker 7 (55:45):
As doors score of finand's just walking off with the
medical staff. Doctor the Saunders is down there, It's gonna
check on him. It's just customary to check any type
of head injury. There's no two minute delay for him
to get back on for a head injury. So as
soon as the referee season ready to come on and
you'll wave him on. But the sound has happened, flick
towards the back stick rock Rock just gets shapped it

(56:06):
out by Jasinski out to the near side.

Speaker 12 (56:09):
It goes.

Speaker 7 (56:12):
It's gonna be a throwing very very deep on San
Jose's right hand side with Jasinski is he's gonna wander
over and try to eke out a couple of additional yards,
and the referee, just seeing what the right back's doing,
is trying to sneak up and a couple more yards
get away from that corner flag referee, I don't just stop.
It still took a couple more yards as Skyhoud turns

(56:35):
and hooks it clear. So now it's a matter of patience,
right Steve. It's a yes possession with the purpose. Yes,
you've got to test the goalkeeper, but the chances will come.
They've already proven that. It's just a matter of now
have you mentioned it before. It's just you have the
sound as execute better in the final third.

Speaker 11 (56:51):
Yeah, I think these structures they left the changing room
with before the game. Those that largely remain unchanged right
keep doing the same thing. He's down the front foot.
You know, you've got to get past that mistake. It
led to the gold and you can't chase so early,
so openly that you leave yourself and spouse at the
other end, because sanose I have shown they've got a
quality to punish you.

Speaker 4 (57:10):
So you've got to head your bets a little bit. Yes,
you poors. She tried to get back in, but still
stay defensively structured.

Speaker 7 (57:16):
Oh, brilliant ball by Ferrara. Here comes Kilani inside the
AGDRD box, guts it to his left foot. Pause, it
takes a touch and then it's play by sky handing
trying to find Rosie. Here's a brilliant pass by Ferrara
who saw the angle, hooked it around the corner, split
the back forward that pass.

Speaker 12 (57:35):
Kilane has been involved on that right hand side.

Speaker 7 (57:38):
Steve we've seen obviously over the years, Alex choldan venture
forward Brian Schwitz giving license to the right back to go.
Klan has taken advantage.

Speaker 11 (57:46):
So far, he's done very well and I think I
think in recently he's started to find himself started. He's
in a bit slow, he's not playing consistent minutes. He's
getting his legs under rim. He's done that really well.
It's an Alex for years and years on the right side.
You knew the service would be there with Plant's a
bit different. He wants to get involved play one two's
dribble draping the back Land has a great engine, can
get up and down, and he's been one of the

(58:07):
real brat spots for The sound is so fine.

Speaker 4 (58:09):
It's opening thirty minutes or so.

Speaker 7 (58:10):
San Jose down there left hand side wall goes over
the top and adiam Mabua, who isn't able to.

Speaker 12 (58:17):
Shape, roll down free as the ball bounces through Christian.
As the ball comes into the sense at'll flick around
the corner. This signed by Rosnick. Similar pass of Ferrara
isn't able to connect this.

Speaker 7 (58:28):
Time heat it down by rolled on and headed by Nude.
This near sight of Rosnik just since he's gonna close down.
Good pressure from San Jose high up the field, as
their line of confrontation is a good twenty yards or
so inside their attacking half the field.

Speaker 12 (58:44):
The sound is working well. This left hand side is
rolled on.

Speaker 7 (58:47):
They'll give and go with Russnick striding forward. Is Christian
chased down by Jasinski, holds things up. It's the ball
back from Russnik, too new who clicks the ball from
this near side to the far side. Alex Roldan has it,
brings it down well inside of Brunelle is able to
turn quickly and flicks into Ferraris and quite able to take.

Speaker 12 (59:05):
That pass under control.

Speaker 7 (59:08):
As Santose clears their lines, they'll take a breather as
the Sounders pick it up just inside their defensive half
of the field.

Speaker 5 (59:16):
Well.

Speaker 7 (59:16):
This copyrighted audio cats of Major League Soccer may not
be retransmitted, reproduced, or rebroadcast without the express or in
consent of Major League Soccer. As Marie about five yards
or so from his end line on the left hand side,
as to clear as lines, Colony has it, throws it
in cushion pall by Mussofsky drives forward again does Colone

(59:37):
inside the eighteen yard box. There comes Colan is a
good play goes down. There's a little that as much there.
Referee is, guys, you're gonna give a corner kick for
that run by Colony, and that's good. But the third
or fourth time, Steve, we're seeing Colony drive into the
eighteen yard box, hit the post already from a deflected shot.

Speaker 12 (59:55):
This time it's a wriggle free past.

Speaker 4 (59:58):
Romney just runs out of steam.

Speaker 11 (01:00:01):
Yeah, good, good running and settles for a corner.

Speaker 4 (01:00:04):
But very good stuff. Blaney and the sounder's got to
make these corners.

Speaker 11 (01:00:06):
Dot counting have at really got much great delivery at
the one Jackson Reagan head up, but not much after that.

Speaker 7 (01:00:12):
Jackson available again on rather for the penalty spot.

Speaker 12 (01:00:14):
Bore goes into Jackson.

Speaker 7 (01:00:15):
Heads oh right by you to out Jackson dead center,
had position, trying to angle his header to the far post.
The angle that just a little bit too far wide
of Daniel's right hand post over the end line.

Speaker 12 (01:00:31):
It goes goal kick.

Speaker 7 (01:00:32):
San Jose continue to lead.

Speaker 11 (01:00:33):
One nil right board right run, just the wrong finish
at the end of Jackson Reagan does well get his
head on it again, as we just called out, could
not direct a goalwards unfortunately.

Speaker 7 (01:00:43):
Well that's the one thing that Jackson, who talked about
the Fourtians, made add to his game is the ability
to scorn on a regular basis.

Speaker 12 (01:00:49):
Not sure why the referee help things up there with
the whistle.

Speaker 7 (01:00:52):
Sounders had possession in and around where that foul was
just inside. They're attacking arm but the rick was taken
inside of the defensive half and Jackson Reagan has it
all at his feet. Go square ten yards to Alex,
who just plays it forward back. It goes to Alex
as suppressed. Now comes from Fernandez and now ski hand

(01:01:14):
certainly what well as a unit to San Jose. Their
pressure is high up the field. They're not boxing it
in a solid back line of four with good height
and strength as you'd expect from the Bruce Arena team.
The physical well organized, and they have a couple of
players with some qualities.

Speaker 12 (01:01:32):
The ball goes down the line. That's not a piece
of quality by Alex Roldin trying to find the run.

Speaker 7 (01:01:38):
A bit of miscommunication between his attacking players as Daniel
comes out to collects it, so he's in all orange tonight.
Is the San Jose goalkeeper or sideswipe volley up the field.
It goes to the big frame of Adimbu, who isn't
able to shrug off Alex. The San Jose will take

(01:01:59):
possession with Red Roberts now to Floriani right corner is
eighteen yard box or some time and space takes a
touch flok into the feet of Skihound, isn't able to turn,
goes back, looks it for again and collects it. The
back goes to Daniel as the Sounders and Rossnick now

(01:02:20):
are encouraged to step forward and try and press the ball.

Speaker 12 (01:02:22):
As the ball goes long freeheaded for you who just
ends it up into the air.

Speaker 7 (01:02:27):
Challenge John rolled down by Noel Buck, an English player
who and spend some time with.

Speaker 12 (01:02:39):
Marina at the New England Revolution. Here it comes sound
good split ball.

Speaker 7 (01:02:45):
By Rossnick to rock Rock cross sixers. Good blocking by Roberts,
who saw the danger came across from his central defensive spot,
takes a deflection over the end line.

Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
It goes.

Speaker 7 (01:02:58):
There's going to be another corner kit for the Sounders
their sixth corner kicking as Steve's that Corney mentioned just
a minute ago. They have to take advantage of knocking
on the door. There's they trail one goaltanil here in
the thirty fourth minute at lumen Field. It's a corner
kick miss time from the Sounders left and he'll be
an instringer again off the right foot of Rusnak, this

(01:03:19):
time two arms up in the air. Jackson now being
marshaled right around the country spot. He goes towards the
back stick and again a floater inside the six, easily
collected by Daniel. He's going to throw the ball out
to Paul Marie and not a good throw by Daniel
gives it away. Sounders collect the ball inside their attacking

(01:03:42):
mark for the field and it goes back to Andrew Thomas.

Speaker 5 (01:03:46):
Well.

Speaker 7 (01:03:46):
May is AA n HPI Heritage Month Support AA n
HPI owned small businesses joined the month of May for
a chance to win Sounders FC prizes.

Speaker 12 (01:03:56):
Visit potentionalist dot com to find a business near you.

Speaker 7 (01:04:00):
Ten minutes ago of this first half and it's been
much of the Sounders in there, attacking half of the field,
cost to seventy percent possession so far for the Sounders.
Six shots from the sound there's only two hitting the target,
which has been the story of the last few weeks.
For the sound there's lots of.

Speaker 12 (01:04:18):
Offensive threat really hasn't challenged the goal keeps.

Speaker 7 (01:04:20):
The bot goes down the line towards the end like
well done, scoots array and Anniel eventually goes down. It
looked like it went over the end line. It's fell
on Daniel buying MASOFSKW. He's had a quiet first half
so far. That's gonna be a free kick inside their
six yard box, dud.

Speaker 11 (01:04:37):
And I think if for a sound as you're looking
at what can we change, And honestly the answer right
now is not too much because all the right things
are sort of happening.

Speaker 4 (01:04:44):
I think rough Rock's been a bit quiet on the
left hand side.

Speaker 11 (01:04:47):
He's someone who normally when he's involved and putting himself
about and getting busy, good things tend to happen.

Speaker 4 (01:04:52):
So maybe looking into way you can include him a
bit more now.

Speaker 11 (01:04:55):
Right inside the balance has been great with face Hu's
Ferre come in inside Klarney being able to offen up
on the.

Speaker 4 (01:05:01):
Outside provide that win.

Speaker 11 (01:05:02):
He's going to several several danger positions there for the Sounders.
I just think eventually you're gonna have to go for
it just a little bit more. But what you're seeing
on a pitch right now for the sounder is probably
what you would have once seen for Branch mets up
minus the big gaff that allows Sana was here to step.

Speaker 4 (01:05:18):
The malls in the front.

Speaker 7 (01:05:19):
Yeah, they were punished for that one mistake so far
a defensive standpoint.

Speaker 12 (01:05:23):
As Rothrock plays the ball inside, tries to give and go.

Speaker 7 (01:05:25):
With Massovski's foul on Jasinski, was Rothrock making a run
across the field.

Speaker 12 (01:05:33):
Referee saw it straight away.

Speaker 7 (01:05:34):
I think that if you're holding a player he was
trying to make a run in behind, it maybe would
warrant a yellow car. But the referees having we were
both Jasinski and now roth Rock in the six of one,
half a dozen or the other.

Speaker 12 (01:05:48):
But the fowl is given.

Speaker 7 (01:05:49):
Sounders have it on the deck inside their attacking half
of the field. The referee is gonna pull it forward
about ten yards from where Rosnak had the ball. So
maybe it's a little of a better angle for Rossneck
to try and deliver this ball. I've seen this type
of delivery from this angle. It's a good forty five
yards from the end line. Just tucked him from his
left hand side. He goes square to roll down. Big

(01:06:12):
men didn't come up for that free kick. As Jackson
Rega goes to nu who Rosneck now has it on
this left hand side, drops the shoulder, comes back inside
to rolled on.

Speaker 12 (01:06:23):
Good patience by the Sounders.

Speaker 7 (01:06:26):
I'm trying to find his first goal to twenty things
up before the end of this first half.

Speaker 12 (01:06:30):
As the ball goes into Ferrero flicks it forward.

Speaker 7 (01:06:33):
Good play by Mussovski heads a ball down to Christian
rolled on top of the eighteen yard box. Verra has
it out to the right hand side to Clonie, drops
it to Snider Brunell. A little bit too intricate maybe
for the Sounders need to pull the trigger maybe at
the top of the box, but they have it inside
the eighteen. Now if Ferrera's stripe by Brunell could say
it's a.

Speaker 2 (01:06:51):
Follow up by.

Speaker 7 (01:06:52):
Massoski couldn't quite get there, cleared off the deck by
the San Jose back line on Floriani over the end
line is be a seventh corner cake for the Sounders,
whether he unleast the shots Steve they course, some problems, good.

Speaker 4 (01:07:06):
Things all around, good stuff.

Speaker 11 (01:07:07):
When the Sounders great attacking play, you gotta give the
goalkeeper credit there, gets down, puts a really strong hand
to it.

Speaker 7 (01:07:13):
Well short. It's like said by roll top back post,
what a jacks heading hands by a good number of
Green Shirts, it was Jackson Reagan again gets there first.
This time on the back post. Six shards out, he
had a free header, was challenged. Yeah, got a good connection, Steve.

Speaker 4 (01:07:33):
I think that's what it was. I think it was
a challenge.

Speaker 11 (01:07:34):
I wonder just how much Jackson Reagan had to battle
at the back post there to get his head on that.

Speaker 4 (01:07:40):
It's a great port to the back post. Ah, you
know what, He's gonna be disappointed.

Speaker 11 (01:07:45):
He gets in front and he's inside the six yard books,
the easiest of the three that he's had. Jackson Reagan
there just tries to put too much direction on it
and he gets it horribly wrong. He goes, why that's
a big chance. Sounding should be leveled.

Speaker 7 (01:07:58):
They certainly shut Jackson Wigs had a couple of answers now,
but sound is getting those chances, and that's a good
chunk of the battle. Oftentimes, is you're struggling to find
the chances, then you get a lot more worried. At
some point, as Bran Schmidt send this press conference at
the end of the last game, at some point, somebody's
gonna get hot.

Speaker 12 (01:08:17):
Sounders needs someone to get a little fire under them
and get some goals.

Speaker 7 (01:08:22):
And is Farrera.

Speaker 12 (01:08:24):
Fighting for the ball.

Speaker 7 (01:08:27):
With Fernandez the goal scorer. He does his defensive work
and the ball rolls back to Daniel. It just scoops
the ball up as Dannie Musofsky comes to close it down.

Speaker 12 (01:08:38):
Or throw by Daniel.

Speaker 7 (01:08:39):
That's a sloppy giveaway.

Speaker 12 (01:08:40):
The fans like that.

Speaker 7 (01:08:41):
Rossneck's go throw it in quickly. Sounders have it right
left hand side, back to rolled on. It goes overlap
and run by who knew who now has it twenty
yards from the end line, left channel step over by New,
goes back five yards to Rosneck, back to New. Roldane
tries to show for the angle back to Rossnick square,
now to Snyder.

Speaker 12 (01:09:01):
Brunell's both stays.

Speaker 7 (01:09:02):
On this left hand side, right in front of the
San Jose bench. Down to our left a. Snyder has
it centered the part twenty five yards from goal out
to the right inside. He goes I strolled on trying
to slide the ball in behind for Kolaney and is
Paul Marie Who's gonna collect the ball. He's gonna look
for some pressure from the Saunders player could have gone down.
Maybe he tried to win the fowl. He didn't click

(01:09:25):
the ball out of bounds on the far side. Sander's
gonna in quickly. Colony has it eighteen yards from the
end line. Is he starts to venture inside, wills to
roll down. It's a new inside.

Speaker 12 (01:09:36):
Low will give and go back to new.

Speaker 7 (01:09:38):
He has him new into the eighteen yard bocks towards
the end light flicker towards the back post, head up
asking for a handball. The referee gives the penalty.

Speaker 13 (01:09:49):
It was klane.

Speaker 7 (01:09:51):
I think San Jose's asking maybe for post.

Speaker 11 (01:09:53):
I wanted to push and Bruce is going absolutely nuts
on a touchlight because they wanted to push. I didn't
think there was too much in that. I felt the
ref made the right corner the first time. We're gonna
see a replay to make sense of this. But knew
who absolutely leading the charge, and this attack does really well.
Ball to the back post? Is that enough of a push?
I don't see enough a push there whatsoever. Certainly not

(01:10:14):
enough to say it's a clean obvious error there. I
think there's the head up. He's arms all the way out.
You got say in his defense, I believe that's Romney.
Not enough time to react when your arm's that far
away from your body and it impeas the ball.

Speaker 4 (01:10:28):
Here's the best replay. We're seeing here here, Yeah, that's pot.

Speaker 7 (01:10:32):
You know, it's one of the third He's not even
looking at it, but the arms coming up and it's
a lot of it. Let's do his motion, Steve. He's jumping.
You obviously taught to jump with your arms to get elevation.
You protect yourself.

Speaker 4 (01:10:43):
Yeah, you can feel bad for him. You can feel
bad because what what's he supposed to do?

Speaker 12 (01:10:47):
It looks an unnatural position when you're looking at on
the slow mo reac.

Speaker 11 (01:10:50):
I just think when it's that far away from the
body that sometimes Now you're seeing that take more precedence
than he did.

Speaker 4 (01:10:56):
You have time to react to whatnot. The push certainly
shouldn't be a fan to him. There was not enoughing
that whatsoever. And I think this will stand as off.

Speaker 5 (01:11:03):
No.

Speaker 7 (01:11:03):
Yeah, the referee is just having a word again with
Romney and it is gonna be a penalty, as Romney
throws his arms up in the air and discussed. But
it's gonna be Rosnack now from the penalty here in
the forty second minute, a chance to put the Sounders level.
Roussneck two goals in his campaign so far, gonna assist

(01:11:25):
at the weekend can he add a third goal to
his tally, takes her breath, steps up, strikes it easy
as you're like, just floats it down the middle. Daniel
went to his right, the bow went down the middle
and the Sounders, just a few minutes before halftime, they
tie things up one one.

Speaker 11 (01:11:45):
Yeah, very well taken penalty, so much composure from Albert
Russknack strolled up to the porch so casually here but
says the bookie for the wrong way. Puts it into
the porner and you can hear what that means to
these fancy the Sounders back on level time. Yeah, approach,
play that letter pedal yours some of the best football,
because sounds like producing his first half led by newho

(01:12:07):
and then they get the pedalty out of it and
Albert Rossnack and it's gotta be said, the last ten
fifteen minutes, it's been one way traffic. It was turning
into pure dominance. We've seem lessness of sandals and attacking
off and Albert Russknack makes it sound as pressure and
dominance count one one.

Speaker 10 (01:12:23):
Yep.

Speaker 7 (01:12:24):
Sounders responding extremely well after that early setback where you
can hear the fans full voice now as the fans
now have streamed in and some of them may have
left for their halftime refreshment. Let's get here in the
final minutes. The first up Sounders have to keep things
tighty here. They have it on that left hand side

(01:12:45):
of Santos, A good powerful headed by Jackson Reagan, just
sincek he plays it to skate hand, good quick turn
by skate hand, a good defending by News gonna come
off the Sounders left back over the end line it goes,
and it's gonna be a eight corner kick. Care about
a minute to goo of this first half. Never a
good start to concede inside the first two minutes, as

(01:13:06):
the Sounders did, but you always want to score right
before the halftime break and walk into the locker room
with a little momentum. And now the Sounders have some
defensive work to do. Remember, don't leave us a half time.
You have the whole crew here today, Jackson Felt, Pete
Feu and Kell and Rowe will be back to break
all of it down one to one right now here

(01:13:29):
at loomingfield when the Sounders have to defend this corner
kick on the San Jose.

Speaker 12 (01:13:33):
Right with skyhand, right foot outswering it and it goes
and it looks like it came off Knew who.

Speaker 7 (01:13:42):
As Florian I mean, is splashing run across the face
of the Sounder's leapt back hope the endline.

Speaker 12 (01:13:48):
It goes for a second corner kick.

Speaker 7 (01:13:52):
For San Jose as Skahand is going to take it
again Goldsmore Fananda's a close white just have the same
angle as a challenge cut in by Klaney who heads
the ball clear and it's challenged well by.

Speaker 12 (01:14:05):
Ferrera on this near side.

Speaker 7 (01:14:07):
It's going to be a throwing for San Jose as
they roll it back to no Buck, who's been look
quiet in that his first half as the Englishman in the.

Speaker 12 (01:14:16):
Center of the park.

Speaker 7 (01:14:17):
Sounders have dominate in the central areas of the field
in the first half, so four minutes about a time.
Much of that was to do with that head injury
on Fernandez that took a little break and then that
var check of course for the penalty kick.

Speaker 12 (01:14:32):
The San Jose have it final flurry sound for San
Jose in this first half.

Speaker 7 (01:14:37):
Caney shrug off that disappointment of that goal as no
Buck has it left.

Speaker 12 (01:14:44):
Channel about ten yards from the end line.

Speaker 7 (01:14:45):
Back it goes to the goal score of Fernandez, the
Green shirts all around him like Rolledn just slaps his
hands together disappointed with the clearest but it goes over
the far sights for a throw in for San Jose.

Speaker 12 (01:14:58):
Not quite the angle in which Alex wanted to clear
his lines.

Speaker 7 (01:15:01):
But Alex continues to play extremely well alongside Jackson Reena.
It's gonna be interesting women. The email comes back to
see we'll get into that in the second half, maybe
with some of the players still sitting on the sidelines injured.
All right, now the Sounds have to defend this long
throat ball goes in heading clear by Christian rolled On,
Red Roberts goes towards it for he On. He flips
it forward back out to this far side the left

(01:15:25):
to Buck drills it into Fernandez world. Well by Colan.
He's had a great first half other than that old
mistake in the first few minutes to cost that goal,
but he's responded extremely well.

Speaker 14 (01:15:38):
And there's a yellow card. That's a silly yellow card.
Bruce Arena is just a gas right now down there.
As Reid Roberts through the ball away got a yellow card.

Speaker 7 (01:15:51):
Bruce Arena just jumped to his feet down in his
technical area, notebook in his hands, just waves his arms
around towards the referee and there's a flicker around the
corner by Ferrer again just quite connect with that pass.

Speaker 12 (01:16:05):
San Jose have it two minutes into the four minutes
about it time as.

Speaker 7 (01:16:09):
The ball goes down the line, now to Addie Mabua
who's dropped his shoulder inside the eighteen yard boxes. Marie
blocked well by the sounders. There's rose and the loy'll
flicker around the corner. It comes Massoft, good strength by Musofsky,
equally good strength by the San.

Speaker 12 (01:16:23):
Jose back line and read Roberts.

Speaker 7 (01:16:26):
I think that is who gets the body between balland
player awns the free kick and it's gonna be San
Jose who will take their time here as they try
to get composed as they go inside. Take this free
kick just inside their half, the defensive half.

Speaker 12 (01:16:43):
Of the field.

Speaker 7 (01:16:45):
Lots of games across MLS this evening, one of them
being certain Messy got a hat trick and then come
skate out top of the box of Marie out towards
the left. He looked he wasn't able to connect as
a poor pass and then there was a delivery out
this near side by Kolan. He's asking for a flick
off a San Jose leg, but he doesn't get it.

(01:17:07):
It's gonna be a.

Speaker 12 (01:17:08):
Throne for San Jose.

Speaker 7 (01:17:09):
And just since he trust to steal a few more
yards up the field for the official coming across, just
motioning exactly where that free kick should be, is news
having a word a big, strong central striker for San Jose.
So let's getting a couple of results of the referee just.

Speaker 12 (01:17:30):
Sort a few things out there.

Speaker 7 (01:17:32):
So Cincinnati three, Miami five. So again Messi does his
business on the road. Three goals today Portland on the
road to Montreal to too between Montreal and the Timbers,
and then a number of Western.

Speaker 12 (01:17:48):
Conference games going on right now.

Speaker 7 (01:17:50):
Saint Louis leading LAFC two goals to one at home,
which is a couple of minutes to go.

Speaker 12 (01:17:56):
That'd be a big.

Speaker 7 (01:17:57):
Result for Saint Louis, who rolf It's got to pick
up some results in the past couple of weeks. Sounds
of course, visiting LAFC form more of the weekend for
their final game before the World Cup break. As knew,
who just flicks it off the leg of the Senators
a striker Eddie Mabua. I knew who was gonna just

(01:18:19):
gonna drop them all off to Paul Rothrock. As we
get to the final second or two and there's a
referee whistle doesn't even allow Paul Rothrock to.

Speaker 12 (01:18:28):
Get the ball in play for the Sounders. Will take
that all day long.

Speaker 7 (01:18:32):
As they go in to the halftime break one one
and it was an early goal. The second minute goal
by Fernandez will mix up in the back from the Sounder.
So great start for the Western Conference leaders, and they
were Sounders who rolled up their sleeves. Are responding extremely well.
And the forty third minute Brosnek was able to step
up from the penalty earn from a handball off Romney

(01:18:56):
and see if that corny Your final thoughts.

Speaker 11 (01:18:58):
Yeah, I'll render start from the Sounders, of course, but
I think the response was very good, great recovery, got
back into the game, start to play well. The sound
is there and I probably did it. Are the two
teams the one who didn't want half time to come
in the end the game. Just a half time come out,
second half fresh snake back to Neil, Neil read the
game is all to play for second.

Speaker 7 (01:19:16):
Half Jackson, Pete Kellen We'll be back to break everything
down after this shortbreak.

Speaker 12 (01:19:20):
At halftime.

Speaker 7 (01:19:21):
Here at EQC Pitch at Lermanfield, it's Sounders one, San
Jose one.

FC halftime show.

Speaker 2 (01:20:12):
A minutes in the books Here at lumin Field, it's
one to one between the Sounders and San Jose Earthquakes.
And boy do we have a lot to discuss here
on the halftime show. Jackson Feltz, Calen Row, Pete Fewing.
I don't really know where to start. Let's just start
at the very start of this game. We're two minutes in,
not even two minutes in and khalaniks Rienzi with a

(01:20:35):
poor back pass to Andrew Thomas. It's intercepted, one pass
back of the net and San Jose go up one nothing.
Then you get a penalty kick from Albert Rusnak in
the forty third minute, right before the halftime whistle. So
those are gonna be the two points that we talk
about here on the halftime show. Let's start with the
beginning and what happened on that Kilani Cosy Rienzi play

(01:20:58):
Calen Row peep you and count I'll start with you
and what you saw on that really unfortunate play for
the Sounders defense. Well, I think I had a little
bit of commentary's curse there because I talked about shooting
ourselves in the foot the past few games, something we
can't do, and of course within two minutes that we
do just that, right, Kalani decided that he was going
to go back to Andrew Thomas, which I don't.

Speaker 5 (01:21:18):
Think was a poor ball or poor idea in many ways.
I think playing that ball out we like playing out
of the back. We know Andrew Thomas is good with
his feet. I don't think positionally he was Andrew Thomas
was a little bit slight slid over enough to give
that option, but also the ball itself was a little
bit slow. And I don't want to blame the field.
They had a full practice on it, they had a
full warm up on it. They know how the ball rolls.

(01:21:40):
You've got to play a little bit more pace than
you do with turf, and they have to understand that
because it was a wet field. It's freshly watered right
before the half, so it should have been a fast paced,
fast paced ball. Let Andrew Thomas take a touch and
then play it out. Credit to San Jose. Knowing that
the bath passes might be a little bit slower, they pressed.
They made a good play at a secondary run that

(01:22:02):
was from another midfielder.

Speaker 3 (01:22:04):
Very good finish and good on them.

Speaker 6 (01:22:06):
Yeah, good on them. They took advantage of it. And
you know, I don't I was gonna say maybe he
was caught in two minds, but he's just a bit lackluster, right,
and he just wasn't confident. You can't really if you're
gonna play around at the back, you've got to be
extremely precise. You cannot be casual, right and now, if
you're scouting the sounders, we saw it with the Kansas
City game with Djoelch. He picks one off right, and

(01:22:29):
so what's the theme now in the last couple of games,
you say, hey, Seattle's a little bit casual at the back,
so they gotta be sharper with.

Speaker 2 (01:22:35):
That, okay, And then let's go all the way to
the forty first minute. Knew who it gets himself in
a great position in the box. He flips the ball
over towards the back post. There is once again kilanikzer Rienzi.
He pushes question mark off of a defender, heads it
off of a defender's arm. That is a handball. Albert

(01:22:55):
Rusnak steps to the spot, makes it one to one
in the forty third minute. A question to both of
you is was that a foul on Kilani Cozaarenzi. It
was not called a foul. We got the penalty, but
was it a foul?

Speaker 12 (01:23:08):
Kill him?

Speaker 5 (01:23:09):
Looking up here and where I am now, I do
think it was a foul. I think it was a
It was a two handed push. It caused Dave Romney
to throw his hands a little bit arches back, the
classic uh you know, arch the back and the hands
go out and that's the hand that it hit when the.

Speaker 3 (01:23:22):
Header was there, when I was playing and I was
in that position.

Speaker 5 (01:23:24):
Because I'm five eight and Dave Romney's I think six three,
I would say that I would do the exact same thing.

Speaker 2 (01:23:30):
I would think.

Speaker 5 (01:23:31):
I'd like to think that I would disguise it a
little better or maybe one hand and not two.

Speaker 2 (01:23:35):
But I would have said, oh, I barely touched him.

Speaker 12 (01:23:37):
Look how big he is.

Speaker 5 (01:23:38):
What do you mean how could a guy like myself
push him who's so big and make him flail just
like that?

Speaker 6 (01:23:44):
Yeah? Yeah, I felt like from what I saw, you're
very good at me.

Speaker 1 (01:23:49):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:23:50):
Yeah, I'm an actor.

Speaker 6 (01:23:51):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I felt like I saw two extended
hands and the and the back did go up and
the arms went up. So I was very surprised it
didn't go to va R honestly, or that VR didn't
say you got to go look at it right and
have so I think we got a little bit of
good luck on our side on that one.

Speaker 2 (01:24:07):
Honestly, Sometimes you make your luck right, a little hope
field advantage.

Speaker 6 (01:24:10):
We don't mind that posts. We've now hit the post
three games in a row, right, we already hit it once.
Uh on Klauney's shot that just went off the bar.

Speaker 3 (01:24:18):
So we gotta let him know that you gotta go
inside the posts.

Speaker 12 (01:24:21):
You know, we got we just can't.

Speaker 3 (01:24:22):
Yeah, it's a little tactic, little tactic.

Speaker 2 (01:24:23):
It's one one right now.

Speaker 3 (01:24:25):
I'll mention that tonight's match is presented by mikeelub Ultra.

halftime show. Callan Rowe Pete hewing. What are your keys
to the second half in a one to one game.

Speaker 3 (01:25:16):
Composure around the box. We've created a lot of chances
around the eighteen.

Speaker 5 (01:25:19):
We were in the eighteen having shots, but it feels
like we're just flailing at the ball a little bit.
Take your composure, take your time, take a little breath.
We're creating the chances. Can you find the final pass
and coach, you're gonna talk about this more, but you
have to have the composure to do so.

Speaker 3 (01:25:32):
We are pros.

Speaker 5 (01:25:33):
Find the extra pass, find the open slot by in
the goal. It's gotta have some calmness around the box.

Speaker 10 (01:25:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:25:39):
For me, the same thing final pass makes and then
sometimes pulled the trigger. We have a lot of passes
inside the box, but I'd like to see us maybe
get a couple of shots from outside the box to
draw the defense out if possible. Jackson Reagan's do right,
he is due. He's due to get a gold on
a corner kick at one, just two, just wide, but
good connect on the ball. And then let's not make

(01:26:02):
those same mistakes at the back that cost us the goal.
Let's be clinical with in in the defensive third and
in the attacking team well, it's.

Speaker 2 (01:26:11):
One one right now, we'll see what the second half
gives us. I'll mention this is the superior game meets
Superior taste. Grab a michelob Ultra, the superior light beer

Washington Huskies national championship team from last year is being
honored here at halftime.

Speaker 3 (01:26:29):
Fantastic.

Speaker 2 (01:26:30):
They took part in the crossbar challenge about what five
or six players only.

Speaker 7 (01:26:34):
One of them hit the crossbar.

Speaker 3 (01:26:35):
Yeah, but the rest of them score.

Speaker 7 (01:26:36):
The rest of them stars.

Speaker 3 (01:26:37):
That's all they to score goals.

Speaker 2 (01:26:39):
Hoskies second half, Sounders San Jose Title one. Danny Jackson,

three point three kjr FM.

Speaker 7 (01:26:57):
Welcome back to Sandas fans to EQC pitch here at
lumin Field. I'm Danny Jackson alongside Steve Zachwani. Here in
the booths. The players are out, the referees are now
out one to one. Coming into this second half, It
was an early.

Speaker 12 (01:27:15):
Goal by the Earthquakes in.

Speaker 7 (01:27:17):
The second minute, and then the Sounders recovered well, played
very well in that first half, lots of chances from
set pieces and open play. It wasn't until a couple
of minutes before the end of that first half where
Albert Rosneck from the penalty spot, handball on Romney from
a header from Kallaney tie things up. And there's gonna

(01:27:38):
be some quick changes now by Bruce Arena.

Speaker 12 (01:27:40):
I think he's seen enough.

Speaker 7 (01:27:42):
And it's gonna be the two top men Preston, Judd
and Buddha that could have.

Speaker 12 (01:27:47):
Come on the field.

Speaker 7 (01:27:49):
So it's gonna be some bit more offensive fire power.
Steve Zaccari for the second half. We'll get the sign
of the lineups in a minute. But your thoughts coming
into the second half and how the first half went
and then what the Sounders need to do to keep
the flop gas. Ye.

Speaker 11 (01:28:00):
I think many times it's not how you starts, how
you finish, And the Sounders finished that half really really well.
After going behind in the end, really nullified anything Sandonse
was doing. Became the oppressed side, the dominant team, and
I got the deserved goal. Now think that goal change
of things. Right, you come in the second half back
on the level standing, clean slate, and it's just about
winning this half. Can you can you win this half
one nil? You fancy yourself to be able to win

(01:28:21):
this half two nil? Of course the Sounders due guess
what they're gonna go for. But this Sandals a team
is dangerous. If you give them chances, you give them space,
or you make mistakes, they can't punish you.

Speaker 4 (01:28:31):
And Bruce a Reno looks like he's not setting it.
He wants to.

Speaker 11 (01:28:33):
He sets it, he smells Also that is a chance,
say for them to maybe do the unexpected and pick
up three points.

Speaker 4 (01:28:39):
So they're gonna be a bit more attacking second half
as well.

Speaker 7 (01:28:42):
Yeah, I was gay that starting lineup for the Sounders
coming out for the second half. No changes for Brian Schmittzer,
It's Thomas Ingol about fourth Kilaney, Alex Jackson knew who
Snyder alongside Christian rolled in middle of the park and
it's Hazu's Ferrera, Albert Rosnew, Paul Rothrock and then Danny
Mussovski up front, Jordan Morris on.

Speaker 12 (01:29:00):
The bench this evening.

Speaker 7 (01:29:02):
So expects se him at some point today as the
ball for the Sounders goes down the left hand side
with roth Or tries to wriggle free good defending by
it's Floriani on that far side. Rothrock doesn't like the
decision from the referee.

Speaker 12 (01:29:15):
Let's get you the eleven coming out for this second half.

Speaker 7 (01:29:18):
As you mentioned, two quick changes at halftime of Bruce
Serenas so as Daniel and gold a back for Jasinski, Roberts,
Floriani and Romney.

Speaker 12 (01:29:26):
No change there. Gonzales alongside Buck.

Speaker 7 (01:29:29):
In the middle of the park and then it's shit
offensive four Weathers changes skatehand on that right hand side.
Fernandez goalscorer through the middle, less than number ten Paul
Marie off, buddha On, adim Abua off and then top
goalscorer Preston Judd with eight goals on the season, goes

(01:29:50):
up fronts as they have it on the right hand side,
Sky tries to slott it through to Judd, good step
a foul by Mussovski, who's in staff. Somewhat of service today.

Speaker 12 (01:30:03):
Steve It's sometimes gets a.

Speaker 7 (01:30:05):
Little bit frustrated when things don't quite come his way,
and hopefully he gets enough minutes to run out in
the second half to let you get.

Speaker 12 (01:30:13):
A chance or too.

Speaker 4 (01:30:15):
And he's a player who needs the service.

Speaker 11 (01:30:16):
We know how he plays, you know, he's very comfortable
feeding on scraps too and things like that. But if
you're not getting crosses into the box, you're not consistently
getting numbers into the attack, and it's not much for
him to work with. He's gonna come back into the
midfield trying to pick up the ball and me things happened.

Speaker 4 (01:30:30):
He needs a lot of playing service.

Speaker 11 (01:30:32):
And I think as that half went on, we saw
Ferrap and Russ a game point involved, and he needs
them to be rough.

Speaker 7 (01:30:37):
Give away by skate hand Bruce Arena just down below
us leaning against his dugout the MLS legend of course
US and Men's former US men's national team coach serial
winner as that's a big push of that by chud
sy foul. Alice Rodos just looking at him.

Speaker 11 (01:30:57):
Even there, doing yeah, why would you do that? You do?

Speaker 4 (01:31:01):
It's such a such a silly fowl.

Speaker 11 (01:31:04):
And Schmes is right, the Sounders took way too long
to get him all back and play. You want to
create your own urgency, You want to create your own tempot.
You don't want San Jose to get comfortable, so branch
meds are They're not happy with how long it took
them to get the board back and play after the fountain.

Speaker 7 (01:31:18):
YEP, direct ball in towards Kilany on this near side
right Sanders in their evergreen shirts tonight green shirts, light
blue shorts and socks.

Speaker 12 (01:31:27):
They're attacking the south end for the second half.

Speaker 7 (01:31:30):
And then it's San Jose and their traditional navy blue
tops with black shorts, black socks. They're be attacking the
north end the goal to our left for this second half.

Speaker 12 (01:31:41):
One one between Saunders.

Speaker 7 (01:31:43):
And San Jose is long throw from Kilani comes in
for this Ryan side top of boxes. Snyder took it
off his chest.

Speaker 12 (01:31:49):
Well, good quick touch, Folly drags it wide. It's gonna
be a gold kick as you mentioned one.

Speaker 11 (01:31:56):
Yeah, and I see the idea from Schnider as the
board arrives to him would first start to the chest,
just turns his body too much as he's trying to
straight out towards Gold in the end of poored balls
the direction he was facing, which was close up to
the corner flag, then the boat. But the Sounders now
maybe the last minute or so, I'm beginning to settle
a bit. The second has been a bit choppy. Just
start to settle on the board a little bit, getting

(01:32:16):
a ball into the attack in half. Gotta find out,
but gotta find his sues.

Speaker 4 (01:32:20):
Those are the key guys. You've gona make the game
happen for you, as he did it so many times
in the first half, and many good things came from him.
You just don't want to Sounds here to get comfortable.

Speaker 12 (01:32:27):
Yeah, good step by Brunelle.

Speaker 7 (01:32:29):
It was just since he trying to slip the ball
into Fernandez and Snyder, Brunelle read it well, got a
toe on it, and the Sounders would come in possession
on his right hand side. Poor touched by k Lannie.

Speaker 12 (01:32:41):
Romney steps in and just gets a little nick from.

Speaker 7 (01:32:44):
Klannie and that challenge. But the Sounders will roll it
back to Andrew Thomas or wherever you're headed. Discount Tire
wants to get you there safely. You shop for tires
with tread Well, your personal tire guide at Discount tire
dot com. As the ball awkwardly goes forward, headed away
by Romney for a top of the box, Missossi gets
dragged down.

Speaker 12 (01:33:03):
I heard a whistler. I thought at first there was
a penalty.

Speaker 7 (01:33:06):
Nothing there read Roberts pulls up down in Massaski as
a choulenged by Musaski runs into the back of Roberts,
and it's going to be a foul for San Jose
in their eighteen yard box.

Speaker 11 (01:33:17):
I think it's the right decision Massositi. I don't think
it's intentional. He's just trying to run into the box
there and he just cannons into the back of the defender,
and the referee has to give a foul.

Speaker 7 (01:33:26):
If you defend him by The young center back saw
the run just kind of stepped in line and absorbed
the hid.

Speaker 12 (01:33:36):
Romney has it left hand side.

Speaker 7 (01:33:38):
It's kind of drill it forward trying to find the
foot of Judd, who plays with the socks down around.

Speaker 12 (01:33:43):
His angles, a shirt out.

Speaker 7 (01:33:47):
Pretty much old school type of players Preston Judd. Of course,
he stayed on the West Coast the most part of
his professional agreer in twenty four came from the La Galaxy,
where he had a.

Speaker 12 (01:34:00):
Good flurry in that particular year of goals, and came
to San Jose beginning of that particular season. Being here
now was third season here or down there in Northern
California really finding his feet now.

Speaker 7 (01:34:15):
Last year was like to Orango and Martinez, who were
the stalwart senior players getting much of the time.

Speaker 12 (01:34:24):
Now it's going to be Preston Jod who has.

Speaker 7 (01:34:26):
Been given the opportunity by Bruce Arena and certainly taken
that opportunity with eight goals on his year. All goes
towards Buddha. Tim of Werner, the German International, talks highly
of Buddha as a foul on roth Rock and the
referee just waited for a split second see if there
was an advantage from Musovski.

Speaker 12 (01:34:48):
And there wasn't.

Speaker 7 (01:34:50):
Who click got pulled off by the challenge as rough
Rock gets up jogs off.

Speaker 12 (01:35:00):
Crowd don't like that hicking here.

Speaker 7 (01:35:07):
Fifty third minute Sounders one San Jose one. This scrub
that he is presented by provident Swedish. The ball goes
in eventually clear by Florie. Ironis on a little bit
awkward touch and then they should to get his second
touch with a scoop clearance out on this near side
throwing for the Sounders.

Speaker 12 (01:35:23):
Schevetz is fired up. Stevie is out of his technical
area up and down.

Speaker 4 (01:35:27):
That sideline he wants more agency just overall, and I
grew with him.

Speaker 11 (01:35:33):
I think the Sounders in the first half, when they
were really dominant, is when they were paying that first
temple quick actions, quick movement, keeping San Jose pressed back.
I think when you walk into restarts and the body
language is I'm sprinting to every boy, you're not closing
out quickly. He doesn't look like what schmd's and his
staff want to see. And I think that's where he's

(01:35:53):
just trying to light a fire under his team. And
so there's three point c. You don't want him turned
this into three straight without a win, because then that
won't be good reading. Despite how well you.

Speaker 7 (01:36:03):
Mean, we've both been around Schwitz enough to know that
is only so much patience has got for that kind
of thing. And did a pretty loaded bench. Let's get
you that bench right now, so I'll give you a second. Actually,
ball goes down this right hand side. Klane's gonna get
that towards the end. Nine clips towards the backstick aheaded
by roth Rock gave just since get a little mudge,
just enough to knock him off balance, and he was

(01:36:24):
an awkward header in the end by Rothrock, just a
little bit on his back foot, header goes over and wide.

Speaker 12 (01:36:30):
It's going to be a goalkick. Round of a pause
by Rouzneck to.

Speaker 7 (01:36:35):
Rolled on for that ball to the ever present Klaney
down this right hand side. He had a number of
flows in that first half, steep where he got inside
the eighteen yard box.

Speaker 12 (01:36:46):
Did it again?

Speaker 4 (01:36:47):
Just that, Yeah, And I think it causes sounds all
kinds of problems.

Speaker 11 (01:36:49):
Because Colani comes from deep, they don't always do a
good job tracking him.

Speaker 4 (01:36:53):
And he's done really well with his final ball and
service today.

Speaker 11 (01:36:56):
Just so unlucky to not scored in the first half
and on that occasion just a little too for pull
rough up play once again on his right hand side from.

Speaker 12 (01:37:03):
The London Yep.

Speaker 7 (01:37:04):
San Jose have it breaking out from the center to
their point and now they have it with Reed Roberts
center back step forward.

Speaker 12 (01:37:12):
Poor ball by Reed.

Speaker 7 (01:37:13):
That's not gonna make rus Arena any more happy. As
Ferra now drives across the halfway line, pushing the ball
forward down the middle, Missoski to his right. Ferreira cuts
the ball to his right foot, strikes off.

Speaker 2 (01:37:24):
What's a goal?

Speaker 7 (01:37:26):
What's a individual.

Speaker 3 (01:37:27):
Goal by Ferra?

Speaker 13 (01:37:30):
He took the ball from the hold off the pair,
he drove forward, he cut it to the left, cut
it to the right, and then he found the back of.

Speaker 7 (01:37:39):
The net and the sound is lead to one.

Speaker 4 (01:37:43):
Well, that's just special.

Speaker 11 (01:37:45):
That's just a player taking upon themselves to make the difference.

Speaker 4 (01:37:51):
Hey, Susan Ferra, he conries a sport thirty forty yards and.

Speaker 11 (01:37:54):
The whole time you're thinking, when's he gonna play it
to Misovski, when's gonna play to Massoski?

Speaker 12 (01:37:59):
And that was wrong.

Speaker 11 (01:38:00):
He's carry sport sixty seventy yards Forerra on the post
until he got to an eighteen yard bocks and then
it's just natural.

Speaker 4 (01:38:08):
Admits it taken over here. Not many players can do that, turns.

Speaker 11 (01:38:11):
A defender inside out and still has the presis of
mind to finish calmly into the corner.

Speaker 4 (01:38:17):
Goalkeeper no chance. That's great keeping for error.

Speaker 11 (01:38:20):
Decisive direct knew I he wanted to do and was
able to put it off two to one.

Speaker 7 (01:38:27):
Founders second goal of the year four Jesus Fererra.

Speaker 12 (01:38:33):
He came into the Sounders as.

Speaker 7 (01:38:34):
A goal scorer who can assist, and he's evolved his
game to be a playmaker who can now score and
he certainly showed all of.

Speaker 1 (01:38:43):
It there in that goal.

Speaker 7 (01:38:45):
As Steve mentioned as clicked the ball deep in his
half of the field, drove forward, kept going. It's a
gaping hole in front of him. He took advantage of it,
and eventually it was this silky skills and tight control
can't finished it. Eventually beat Daniel who was rooted to
the spot. And the Sounders now are right where they

(01:39:07):
want to be. They've got San Jose on the back foot.
And here they come again, the Sounders down the left
hand side where the raft rock overlapping run by Neuho
centerist Snyder Brunell, dead center, thirty yards from Gold back
to Arrera.

Speaker 12 (01:39:20):
Is he getting in another chance?

Speaker 7 (01:39:21):
Well done? Has it to its right? Fuck? Girls, it
takes a nick. There's gonna be a corner kick. Good
play by the Sounders. I think Brian Schwetz is walking
them up from the sideline.

Speaker 4 (01:39:31):
Yeah, this is why he wants to see.

Speaker 11 (01:39:34):
And that's the reason why it's very hard for any
team to stay with the Sounders when they play in
that way with the emergency and it's not chaotic, it's
not reckless, it's really controlled chaos there. And he says
he's Verra. He's finding that inside right pocket a lot Santos.
Don't know what you're gonna compick him up. He's in
a half space all the time. And when he turns
the faces bold good things happening for the Sounders's.

Speaker 7 (01:39:55):
Corner kick for the Sounders on their right hand side
down to our right out swinging with Rusnick and it
goes so Jackson Regan.

Speaker 12 (01:40:02):
It's a good challenge.

Speaker 7 (01:40:03):
Top of the boxes, Rathrock headed clear by Fernandez chasing.

Speaker 12 (01:40:07):
The ball down from roll Dyne kicks it in.

Speaker 7 (01:40:10):
Yes, he does, far side the left ten yards from
the end, like comes back trying to find Brunell's cut out. Well,
the clearance somehow finds Judd and it's gonna be the
big body of Preston Judd, an orthodox body and presence
of Judd, who gets lucky with their little Nick goes down.
Nothing there. That's a yellow car for judge. Yep, just

(01:40:32):
not really putting himself in the best light so far.
It was a very poor challenge early on in this
second half where big pushing the back on roll down
and then a dive earns him the yellow car.

Speaker 11 (01:40:46):
I'm not a fan of any kind of simulation and
I love what referees do this zero tolerance because he's
trying to get new who in trouble. He's trying to
con the referee referee scene that you chap up. Yeah, yeah,
you give me any card. That's the only way you
get that out.

Speaker 2 (01:40:59):
Great.

Speaker 4 (01:41:00):
Fore well.

Speaker 7 (01:41:01):
Salmon's FC socket is presented by Provident, Swedish official healthcare
partner of Sounders FC.

Speaker 12 (01:41:09):
They lead two goals to one here.

Speaker 7 (01:41:13):
This sport is presented by Nicolo Ultra Sanader's of course
on a twenty one game on Beach Streak here at home.
The last loss was Parry Sanderman all the way back
in the Club World Cup last summer. So we're approaching
almost twelve months now since the last loss in all

(01:41:35):
competitions through the legs it go Jasinski makes the foul.
It wasn't simulation this time by Roth Rockey goes down
just outside the eighteen yard box, ten yards or so
from the end line, and it's gonna be a really
good opportunity here for Rusnak Steve with his right foot
on that left hand side to whipping in.

Speaker 6 (01:41:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (01:41:55):
I mean that's as close to the box as you'ld
likely to get but russnagis not quite shooting angle. However,
it's one of those if you can whip it across
Gold gets some really good runners across the goalkeeper's line
of sight across his face there, and it's what you're
aiming to do, as Albert Rusnak, because if no one
touches this, this should end up in the top corner

(01:42:17):
back of the net.

Speaker 4 (01:42:18):
He needs runners.

Speaker 11 (01:42:20):
He needs to be a strong delivery here with a
lot of finesse suit. But it's not quite a distance
of a corner. You're much closer to Gold here.

Speaker 4 (01:42:27):
But Albert Russnack certainly has the quality to put a
right board into the.

Speaker 7 (01:42:31):
Box balls just outside of the eight ten yard box,
ten yards from the end line on the left hand side.
The Sounders and Russnak have it on the deck, two
arms up in the air, green shirt up and around
the six yard box. Ball goes low, almost finds the
bottom corner that was sneaky by Albert. Daniel kept his
composure and it's calm there as he went down and

(01:42:54):
clicked to the ball. And that's a little dicey by Daniels.
He drops the boards. Rosneck clears comes in to close
things down. It's an off side given on Buddha by
the assistant referee on the far side, and that's gonna
be a free kick for the Sounders.

Speaker 12 (01:43:08):
It's getting sixty minute mark.

Speaker 7 (01:43:10):
Here at EQC Pitch, lumin Field Sports Radio ninety three
point three KGr FM tonight. Wherever you're joining us, Thank
you for listening in. Sounders on a perfect summer night.
Got off to the worst possible start, but it's been
a wonderful recovery from a very resilient sounders who have
been there, done that many times. It's a fantastic ball

(01:43:31):
by Freyer almost find Rosnut through the middle.

Speaker 12 (01:43:34):
Good step by New Is there crowd like that? You
hear that knew who bellowing around lumin Field.

Speaker 7 (01:43:44):
Good season so far by New consistent, All gets fucked
around the corner from Massoski.

Speaker 12 (01:43:49):
You're still trying to find.

Speaker 7 (01:43:50):
His game through the middle. We'll see what kind of
changes Brian has. He's got Zazie on the bench, He's
got Jordan.

Speaker 12 (01:43:56):
Morris on the bench.

Speaker 7 (01:44:00):
A mention just a second as a sound his plates
there's this side the right inside the eighteen yard boxes.
Kilaney cuts the ball, holds things up, had a chance
to maybe deliver it this right floor. A little chopping
away by Romney strikes the class easy collected by Daniel
who was a little bit of scoop. Misplayed cross by Kilaney,
but did beat Romney the left back to the outside.
It was those two players, of course, that came together

(01:44:22):
for that penalty at the end of that first half
where Coloney head the ball onto Romney's arm that was
judged to be a foul and a penalty.

Speaker 12 (01:44:31):
A challenged by roth rocket skih he's asking for a
oul nothing given. Arena is on a yellow card, by
the way, just the end of that first half. He
went after the referee, but it comes with soft ash
of Rusnak.

Speaker 7 (01:44:43):
He colects the ball right corner of the eighteen yardbods
for her making a run. Now holds his run.

Speaker 12 (01:44:48):
Paul goes in too close to Daniel once again.

Speaker 7 (01:44:51):
It's been easy pickings for Daniel at times in this
game so far, delivered from corner kicks and a couple
from the outside of not found their mark. We mentioned, sorry,
the yellow card from Bruce Arina. We're gonna keep our
eye on it because he's ashy.

Speaker 4 (01:45:06):
Yeah, yeah, the fourth official right now.

Speaker 11 (01:45:08):
Yeah, and I think to your point that he's one
era think the sounders I've let himselves down.

Speaker 4 (01:45:12):
A little bit. Here is when you've got into that
final third, being able.

Speaker 11 (01:45:15):
To put in the right kind of delivery, the right
kind of board hasn't always been the case from the sound.

Speaker 7 (01:45:19):
And so fourth a couple of changes imminent for San Jose,
and we had two from the beginning of the second half.

Speaker 12 (01:45:27):
Here come the Sound with Ryan So with Brunell.

Speaker 7 (01:45:29):
Good ball and he goes to Praira to Brunell, squares
the ball to rough Rock, clicks the ball to his
left foot, strikes it blocked headed away by Floriani.

Speaker 12 (01:45:39):
Good play again from the Sound to start this right
hand side.

Speaker 7 (01:45:42):
It found roth Rock Evenual on the left and here
he is now is Paul on the left hand side,
ten yards from the end.

Speaker 12 (01:45:48):
Line comes back to Neu who cuts it back to Christian,
back to his brother Alex.

Speaker 7 (01:45:56):
Line Navy blue shirts behind the ball, the sole figure
of Joe up on the halfway line alongside Jackson Reagan right.

Speaker 12 (01:46:03):
Now all goes inside the eighteen yard box, who now plays.

Speaker 7 (01:46:05):
It back to New who had a chanceman to turn
with it kind of feet New who bore clear it's
gonna be thrown on the far side. It's a couple
of changes for San Jose and Bruce Arena. It's going
to be bowl LaRue who's going to come onto the field.

Speaker 12 (01:46:26):
It's going to be.

Speaker 7 (01:46:29):
A normal buck who's gonna come off for LaRue and
in Hearts also.

Speaker 12 (01:46:37):
Coming on the field. Kind of conformation. That's Gonzalees off
the field walking around the far corner flag.

Speaker 7 (01:46:48):
For forty Gonzales off the field. So two changes in
the center of the park, both center my field players off.
They're trying to maybe find a bit of a grip
in the middle of the park. It's been all Sounders,
really steve since that goal. It's been dictated by the
engine of this team. In rolled on and Brunelle and Rosne.

Speaker 11 (01:47:04):
Yeah, winning that mid foot battle for sure for the Sounders,
and they look more likely to get that third goal.
And it's been a bit relentless putting a lot of
pressure on his Sandals back line. That third goal looks
much more likely than an equal assing goal from Sandals. Honestly,
outside of that first twenty minutes, haven't offered much at
hoorn by way off danger or punch in the final third,
it's been one way traffic. But at two to one

(01:47:25):
the Scoreland will suggest it's still a game. The Sounder
is really trying to kill this off.

Speaker 7 (01:47:30):
Yeah, sixteen shots from the Sounders, six of those on target,
sixty six percent possessions so far in the game. So
in all facets the Sounders have dominated, and with double
the amount of total passes eight corner kicks that we
mentioned the first self. There's been some really good chances
for corner kicks, but here where Sanders are dangerous. Paul
goes into Judd and it was from the right hand side,

(01:47:52):
but Andrew Thomas read the play well. Is that difficult
space to defend between goalkeeper and back lively?

Speaker 12 (01:48:00):
Because Musovski good defending by Reid Roberts. He look like
he's maybe a yard.

Speaker 7 (01:48:03):
Off side, but Roberts made no mistake, clean things up
back to the goalkeeper and hearts now. The son of
US men's national team legend John Hawk's another player.

Speaker 12 (01:48:16):
That came in for New England.

Speaker 7 (01:48:18):
So Bruce a really likes to keep his guys together.
When you've done goodbye, Bruce, He'll he'll.

Speaker 12 (01:48:23):
Pick you up and pull you wherever he is and
there's a good number of players who have come.

Speaker 7 (01:48:28):
In from New England as Bruce is now trying to
dictate and organize the type of infrastructure that he built
over New England.

Speaker 12 (01:48:36):
Obviously just so much success as he did with DC
and the like.

Speaker 11 (01:48:41):
I don't know what anyone knows what understands this league
or the types of players and where it takes to
get success in this league to the level what that
Bruce Reena does. He's got rispeaks for himself and he's
doing it here at Sanose. I think he did a
good good job at New England. He built something quite
special there in the short time he was there, and
he's starting to hitting sandals and he does it really
if you don't always think the guys that jump out

(01:49:02):
from the team sheet all the time.

Speaker 4 (01:49:04):
But he has a way to squeeze the best style
of Warners players.

Speaker 7 (01:49:07):
Yeah, Branch Medzer called Arena the goat of MLS coaching
yesterday in his press conference. If you would argue that
one Hamla right inside now is San Jose with skatehound
just shrugs up. New ball comes in. It's an awkward
clearance by Jackson Reagan Andrew.

Speaker 12 (01:49:24):
Thomas takes control, comes out, collects the ball.

Speaker 7 (01:49:27):
And of runs forward to the top is eighteen. Nothing
forward just calms things down. So it's a bit of
a lone figure up there, So Andrew rolls it out
square to Alex, keeps possession well. Tonight's match is presented
by michelob Ultra, The Superior Game meets Superior Taste. Grab
a michelob Ultra the Superior Light beer as you cheer

(01:49:49):
your team on michelob Ultra, official beer sponsor of Seattle
Sounders FC. Get here in the sixty seventh minute. Now
Sounder's leading to goal, so on off the back of
a Hazes Carrera goal in this second half, but it
comes San Jose try to try things up. Judge takes
a shot, drags it wide, Bruders.

Speaker 12 (01:50:09):
Asking for a deflection. Nothing there, It's going to be.

Speaker 7 (01:50:11):
A goal kick. But Judd is an an orthodox old
school in some ways. But getting the job done.

Speaker 11 (01:50:20):
Yeah, puts himself about once they make things happen on
that occasion, if the Sounders really causing their own problems
there defensive nutrition and Jack's again into all kinds of
trouble back there and offering a chance of San Jose Preston.
Johnny ends with a shot at Bold not on board
as he dragged it horribly wide, thankfully for the Sounders.
And then Brian Schmetzer sees Bruce Rina go to his

(01:50:41):
bench and then he counts, Now we're bringing on two
players as well, and I think it's the right time.
It sounds needs a little bit of freshening up and
this game maybe's crying out for a player is Jordan Morris.

Speaker 4 (01:50:50):
You can exploit that space in behind.

Speaker 7 (01:50:52):
Like no other. Yeah, quick change for san Jose Will
mentioned Jamal Ricketts on sky hand off, so that'll be
a light flight switch in terms of wide players, but
Rickers will play on his left hand side. Budas now
shifted from left to right. And then the changes for
the Sounders. You've thought there'll be some changes coming. It

(01:51:13):
came in the likes of Jordan Morris on for Mussosky
light flight switch, Jordan Morris will go up front and
then Hassani Gotson on center the park to play alongside
Christian on for Snyder Brunel.

Speaker 12 (01:51:31):
Just over twenty minutes ago.

Speaker 7 (01:51:32):
Of this particular game, Sounds, We're back here on Saturday
evening to play one of their longtime rivals of course
in the Western Conference La Galaxy after winning the twenty
four MLS Cup.

Speaker 12 (01:51:43):
It's been a bit of a downhill path for them.
But here comes sound as a.

Speaker 7 (01:51:48):
Shot block jud has it, drops the shoulder, strikes it. Oh,
it's deflected and Judd scores really out of nothing. It
was a deflected shot. Jud was there first, drops his shoulder.
I mean, he gets his ninth goal of his campaign
and it's two too.

Speaker 4 (01:52:06):
And that's the danger with the scoreline.

Speaker 11 (01:52:07):
I was just gonna say the sounds at two one
worthy of the lead, but it is only two to one,
and it Snalds a team has shown if and when
the opportunity does arise, they can't make you pay him
for the second time today, Sanals they find the back
of the net.

Speaker 4 (01:52:22):
It is Johnny's come on, he's made a difference. We
mentioned in moments.

Speaker 11 (01:52:25):
Ago put himself about big body knows where the back
of the net is and that's a confident finish for him.

Speaker 4 (01:52:30):
There.

Speaker 11 (01:52:31):
Maybe takes a slight deflection here, yeah, probably off the
back of Jackson Reagan's left leg.

Speaker 7 (01:52:37):
There it was composed, it just dropped his shoulder. A
couple of players came flying in. It came off Jackson Reagan's.

Speaker 4 (01:52:44):
Yeah, big deflection.

Speaker 12 (01:52:45):
Yeah, off the back of his calf. I think it
was when he tried to slott his right foot behind
to lock it. And now the sound is gonna have
to roll up their sleeves again.

Speaker 7 (01:52:55):
Twenty minutes to go of this particular games mentioned the
second game of a three game homestand for the Sounders,
San Jose a lot like team of the past where
they are number one in the MLS Eastern Western Conference
coming into today's game. Morris has it, drops it back
to Alex Roldan, who just drops the shoulder cuts the

(01:53:18):
ball back away from LaRue. Sanders would build through Andrew Thomas.
Of course, Sounders came into today's game Steve as best
defense in MLS against the best offense in San Jose.
We've seen San Jose add to their goals with two
Sounders have matched that, but their defense is naked.

Speaker 12 (01:53:41):
A few today.

Speaker 7 (01:53:42):
As the ball goes into Jordan Morris, good ball by
roth Rot with his left foot from the outside.

Speaker 12 (01:53:49):
It was Morris making that front post run. Couldn't wuite connect?
Ball comes out to this near side for San Jose throw.

Speaker 11 (01:53:56):
I think you have to watch. How is the next
five minutes? How do you respond? And that's a good
sign by the sound is there good switch of the play.
Rough Rock has been much more involved in the second half,
right idea cross into the dangerous era. Jordan Morris just
can't quite get there. But this next twenty minutes is big.
If it a sound as you don't want to drop
two points at home, make it a habit on a

(01:54:17):
couple of points at home in games that you feel
you should win. Don't make all the difference come September
octob by the business end of the season.

Speaker 4 (01:54:24):
Can you stack your points now?

Speaker 11 (01:54:26):
And they got twenty minutes here to rescue a victory
from what looks like it is headed to a tie
right now.

Speaker 7 (01:54:32):
Yeah, six goals giving up in the season league leading
for the Sounder is coming in today's game to giving up.
It's five clean sheets so far for Andrew Thomas opped
off to a Flyer in terms of clean sheets, but
before goals in the last three games given up by
the Sounders. Bran Schmetzer probably too concerned the overall defensive play.

(01:54:53):
But here they are now on the offense with Ferrara
goal score of that second goal tries to play goals
square two Ross neck in it's cut out by Santa
se trying to clear their lines. Alex rolled on going
all the way back to Andrew Thomas. So let's get
you some results coming out this Western Conference as things
start to shake out.

Speaker 12 (01:55:13):
A final in Saint Louis.

Speaker 7 (01:55:15):
Saint Louis to LAFC one who the Sounders will play
a Memorial Day weekend for their final game for this
initial burst of the MLS season before the World Cup break.
Minnesota nil, Colorado one. Sporting KC get a win over
La Galaxy visit. As we mentioned the Sounders this coming
weekend Sporting Case, you've got walloped by Portland at the

(01:55:36):
weekend the show some brasilience. They win three to one
at home, Dallas two Vancouver three. So we'll see how
the standing shakeout. Because Vancouver and San Jose were right
up their neck and neck at the top of one
and two in the Western Conference. It's San Diego who
were in this past weekend who were won one tie
for the Sounders. They're leading three goals to nil against

(01:55:58):
Austin at home, and there's RSEL three Houston nil two
to two. Here he QC pitch Luminfield Sports Radio ninety
three point three kg I FM. Tonight, Sanders are on
the front foot again with Kolani, who's been relentless up
and down that right hand side. Forced the penalty to

(01:56:18):
tie things up the end of that first half. He's
been involved a couple of other times getting into that
eighteen yard box, hit the post and a deflector shot
in that first half. It comes Ferrara, slots a to
dots at the top of the box, strikes it deflects
off Floriani. Here comes Frera steps in slight hesitation from Jasinski.
He's asking for a deflection off his clearance.

Speaker 12 (01:56:39):
He doesn't get it.

Speaker 7 (01:56:40):
It's gonna be a thrown in. A couple more changes
and let's see. So we've got a Zaze coming on
and that most likely shift him through the middle.

Speaker 4 (01:56:50):
Julian Baris to go to the right right, drop a
Sou's into the middle of the park.

Speaker 11 (01:56:55):
There it changes all and cost them. Yeah, Office World
colony on comes Kingston and he can play in this
right back attacking sort of which channel I think. Kingston
comes on and plays right behind Jordan Morris here yep,
Jordan Golston all right, hey sue central osaz up top Yep.

Speaker 7 (01:57:16):
Kingston came on early in the San Diego game, played
in that right back as well, so we'll know there'll
be some energy. I think Brian has seen some joy
from Kilan. He's want to make sure that keeps that
energy going. The boy gets whipped it by Klan by New,
headed away by Ricketts up in the area. It goes
challenged by Dots and then by Kingston, headed clear by Romney,

(01:57:36):
flicked forward by Christian aldand damas right.

Speaker 12 (01:57:38):
So I challenged by Ricketts towards the end ninety close.
That's a little push on Waldni's not gonna complain about that.

Speaker 7 (01:57:45):
Good defending by Ricketts. It's gonna be a goalkick for
San Jose. So let's get you a confirmation of those changes.
So Albert rusnak Off on Azaze will play through the middle,
Pharrera will dropped to the number ten where Rosnack was playing,
and Jordan Morris where he's had some joy playing on

(01:58:07):
the right hand side. That's why he will play. And
then Peter Kingston comes on for Kalan. He liked like
switch there, strike by Dots and takes the deflection of course,
it was Dotson who got a disallowed goal and the
first game of the year before he went off a halftime.

Speaker 4 (01:58:22):
He it comes Morris.

Speaker 7 (01:58:22):
It's on the eighteenth straight over to save. Brilliant save right.
Daniels celebrates like it's a goal, as he should, and
it was Morris on his left foot. He wriggled three
of the back four and about ten twelve yards out.

Speaker 12 (01:58:37):
Couldn't beat Daniel went over the top. Corner kick.

Speaker 4 (01:58:40):
Yeah, poor giveaway by sanal Z.

Speaker 11 (01:58:42):
Sounders wisting nold time getting into the attack again half
space as use Farrera, great time, lovely little Parson behind
for Jordan.

Speaker 4 (01:58:49):
Morris does everything great, shoots Ali with the left foot.
It's just a.

Speaker 11 (01:58:53):
Strong hand from the goalkeeper. It's gotta be said. It's
a very very good scene.

Speaker 7 (01:58:56):
Corner kick with Farrera now with Rusnak off the field
fast side, the Sounders left, entering the right foot and
it goes headed down. Our sage was there just outside
of the six yard box. He headed it down well
but couldn't hit the target. It must been the save
affairs for corner kicks today. It's gonna be a goal kick.

(01:59:17):
Fans are booing because there is a player down for
San Jose.

Speaker 11 (01:59:20):
I think it might be Romney, and I think he's
unlucky the al Sarz. I mean he heads it down
as you should, has to generate a lot of power there.
He's trying to find that bottom corner. Misses by about
half a foot there OSARSI. But Jackson Reagan also in
and amongst it, and in the end who does.

Speaker 4 (01:59:36):
Get the final touch it. That's definitely a saze, just
misses by.

Speaker 11 (01:59:40):
The Sounders have about fifteen minutes no you give or
take or stopage time fifteen to twenty minutes here to
rescue something. This is a game that have come into
it feeling its three points for us. It's bounce back
from the two point drops in the past couple of games.
Then it's sort of Sanjose lineup and but here as
we entered this final phase of the game, it's too too.

Speaker 7 (02:00:00):
Yeah, They've got their players on who wrestled on the
bench and jud and Buda came on at halftime. As
the ball goes down the line, Romney goes down to
the deck heads and out of bounds just about trickles
over this near sideline. Jordan Morris, playing on the right
now he's got a ball in his hands, draws it
into Azazu's not able to shrug off Reid Roberts Larude
collects it. The slice clear by Ricketts, jud brings it down.

(02:00:25):
It's a challenge by rolled On. Both players kind of
waits for the other player. Then referee gives watching like
a big soft foul and the sound as Captain I
think well, as we mentioned the Ray Brena back at
home at the Emerald Queen Casino Pitcher Lubum Field to
take on the La Galaxy on Saturday May.

Speaker 12 (02:00:42):
Sixteenth at six point fifteen Pacific.

Speaker 7 (02:00:45):
Watch the match on the Apple TV app and listen
on the ninety three point three KGr.

Speaker 12 (02:00:50):
FM and l RAY thirteen sixty am. The prominent Swedish.

Speaker 7 (02:00:54):
Premat show starts at six pm. Here comes san Jose
through the middle, now to the.

Speaker 12 (02:01:02):
Left with Rickets inside the each and the arms little
step over.

Speaker 7 (02:01:04):
Good defending by Peter Kingston, did all the right things,
said on his feet, didn't watched the player as he
stepped over, watched the ball made the block goes.

Speaker 12 (02:01:13):
Over the end line. He will be a corner kick.
We're good defending by the young man.

Speaker 11 (02:01:17):
Yeah, he's very good defending, but that danger doesn't exist,
and they've shown it Faday even in Sanose they did.
They're not afraid, they're not shy about getting out into
the counter attack, attacking in transition. On this occasion, he's
settled for a corner kick from this left hand side
will be an in swinger, and Sanose is sending him
plenty of numbers.

Speaker 7 (02:01:35):
Fluing was over fifty shots over the last two games,
both in one to one ties San Diego and Sporting KC.

Speaker 12 (02:01:45):
They are much of the same.

Speaker 7 (02:01:46):
In this particular game where we're at two to two
right now, as we're heading into the final eleven minutes
or so, twenty one shots from the Sounders, Ferrara challenges
who are already gets dragged down Prere say took the ball.
The referee doesn't disagrees. About two or three yards outside
the eighteen yard box. Ferrara's called for the foul and

(02:02:08):
now it's gonna be a dangerous spot for San Jose.
Just a couple of yards off this end line to
our left, the left channel four Sant Jose.

Speaker 11 (02:02:18):
And there's a chance for them to get a really
dangerous born into the Sounder's box. They're putting a lot
of players inside that six sharp box sounders trying to
hold their line.

Speaker 4 (02:02:31):
It's gonna be chaotic.

Speaker 7 (02:02:35):
The last four games initial burst of the MLST season
all California teams San Diego, last weekend, San Jose.

Speaker 12 (02:02:44):
Of course, today La Galaxy and an LAFC. Not too
much travel for the Santas. They played three of those
four at Hope, last one down in La.

Speaker 7 (02:02:54):
But now they have to defend this free kicks a
couple of yards off the end line on their left.

Speaker 12 (02:02:59):
Hand side for San Jose.

Speaker 7 (02:03:00):
Whips it in towards the near stick and that was
whipped him with some pace and it's gonna be a
corner kick. I think it came off yeah, So initially
it looks like Judd maybe God had.

Speaker 4 (02:03:11):
Headed them and it was really wicked ball that came
into the box.

Speaker 7 (02:03:16):
But Sans having another corner short this sign bull, it's
in easy for Andrew Thomas collects it off Fernandez for
a mixer run down his right hand side. Andrew Thomas
just delays things and rolls it out to Jackson Reagan.

Speaker 12 (02:03:30):
Inside the final.

Speaker 7 (02:03:31):
Ten minutes here at Lumen Field to too between the
Saunders and San Jose all given away by Dotson.

Speaker 12 (02:03:39):
Tough ball by Jackson in some way, He's just gonna.

Speaker 7 (02:03:43):
Stuffed him right there in the middle of the all
goes into Jerney makes that front post run from a
tight angle, Trapped well by Alex Roldan makes the block.

Speaker 12 (02:03:51):
It goes over the end line for a corner.

Speaker 7 (02:03:53):
Kick, the fifth corner kick for San Jose third of
this second half.

Speaker 12 (02:04:00):
Just feeling in the back of his leg.

Speaker 7 (02:04:03):
So if that's nothing more than a little knock maybe
versus some kind of muscle strain, It's not what Bruce
Reni would want from his talisman top goal scorer of
the season with nine goals, pressing Judge Gold to ninth.
The second Buddha drives it towards his back stick headed
across by Roberts, off the chest of Ozarze, looking up

(02:04:24):
nothing available, just twists and turns away from Floriani now
drives forward.

Speaker 12 (02:04:29):
Brudhah's gonna come and try.

Speaker 7 (02:04:30):
And defend this great tackle by Budha. He just rubs
Ozaz with a really good tackle. Now Buddha has it
farside the right, twenty yards from the end line, approaching
the eating yard box, whips it in good push away
by Andrew Thomas with his right hand.

Speaker 12 (02:04:47):
Good strong right arm from Andrew.

Speaker 7 (02:04:49):
As the ball was whipped and he just kept it going,
helped it on its way out on this near side
for a throwing. Its final change for the Sounders. It's
gonna be rough rock off Ariola on get any minutes
his past weekend Paul Ariola, but he'll be anxious to
try and get some minutes under his belt.

Speaker 12 (02:05:11):
Go Brian making some changes with another game coming up
this weekend.

Speaker 7 (02:05:14):
He put out Steve is the strongest starting line at
Bruce Rine did not. Jordan Morris really the only change
from the previous week, but we'll see what changes he'll
make coming this weekend. Ella galaxy're not the team of
the what they were a couple of years ago, obviously
missing some important players. But they go down today and

(02:05:35):
it comes to Jordan Morris wriggling three Floria and just
gives him enough. LaRue comes back to help as Daniel
collects the ball in thirty six yard box the goalkeeper
for San Jose and drives it well to the far
side San Jose bright and that was piggyback that Bruder
gave knew who who jumps on the back of the

(02:05:57):
San Jose number seven. Surprise it wasn't the yellow car
but nothing given by the referee to too Sounders Earthquakes
seven minutes ago. In the score being is presented by
Provident Swedish. It's gonna be Hearts. He's gonna have it

(02:06:19):
just inside his half of the field, rolls it in,
given away, but who's not able to connect with Ariolapare
goes in to Budha, He's not able to collect it.

Speaker 12 (02:06:27):
Now it's Peter Kingston on the right, just outside his
eighteen yard.

Speaker 7 (02:06:29):
Box, moves forward, plays it into Roald.

Speaker 12 (02:06:33):
Arm Backcher's brother Alex to Peter Kingson, whose.

Speaker 7 (02:06:38):
Course has had lots of Pacific Northwest soccer experiences with
Seattle University. You dub ballad good strength, John, that's a
foul and Arena is not gonna like that.

Speaker 12 (02:06:50):
It's right in front of Bruce. Yeah, and that was
really good at center forward placed.

Speaker 4 (02:06:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (02:06:56):
A player like John, he's gonna battle put himself about
a footing that occasion. He's just struck Alex Rodane and
didn't see the founder. I think you've got to be
allowed to do that. So the sound is it not
fortunate then won't be complaining.

Speaker 7 (02:07:07):
You know when you're center back and you get on
the wrong side and you know it's there.

Speaker 12 (02:07:10):
And you don't. You can't get leverage. You can't and
you know the forward's got you. You're a little bailed out.
Did Alex there? But the Sounders will take it all
day long.

Speaker 7 (02:07:19):
It comes Areola now they'll drop of the shoulder and
the left hand side and.

Speaker 12 (02:07:22):
It goes headed away by Floriani.

Speaker 7 (02:07:25):
All the loose balls would fall to the Sounders in
the first twenty five minutes of this.

Speaker 12 (02:07:31):
Second half.

Speaker 7 (02:07:32):
It's now been pretty much San Jose playing a bit
more on the front foot as they have the ball
in this near side throw in just inside their attacking
half of the field.

Speaker 12 (02:07:42):
Well, the superior game meets superior teas.

Speaker 7 (02:07:44):
Grab a michelob Ultra the superior light beer as you
cheer your team on michelob Ultra, official beer.

Speaker 12 (02:07:50):
Sponsor of Seattle Sounders FC.

Speaker 7 (02:07:57):
Alex rolled down calmly slots. It's all the way across
to new who so Steve In terms of player personnel,
third game in a week, Yes, it's all at home.

Speaker 12 (02:08:09):
You expect to see changes or the same.

Speaker 7 (02:08:11):
Brian good is gonna put your strongest team out, knowing
he's got two games left after this week, and the
players get a good six weeks off or so to
the next game.

Speaker 12 (02:08:20):
We'll get his fortune. A minute here comes Ariola. It's
a it's a good turn by Morrison. It was a
clearance by Romney.

Speaker 7 (02:08:27):
Judge's gonna wait for the awkward bounce, but Jacks O
Reagan takes care of things.

Speaker 11 (02:08:31):
I think a lot of wappings here in the next
five minutes plus, we're determine that you managed to get
a win here. Maybe you can rest a few more guys.
If you don't pick up the win, you're a bit
more desperate. Maybe you've run as many guys as your
carnifin to start.

Speaker 7 (02:08:43):
Brilliant lot step over by Kingston, given go strike o
those fans that far corner, and Daniel's able to read
it and collect it. Well. It was Kingston against San Diego,
who's took a strike from out twenty five yards a
whisker over in that particular game last week, kend and
reread a little step over by Kingsnoff's right hand side

(02:09:04):
drives in give and go isn't able to get enough
juice on that strike as it's not a foul either,
Zars He just goes in and both Brian Schmetzer and
Bruce Arena points standing there scratching their head when they
grew up playing that was not a foul and we
played either.

Speaker 4 (02:09:23):
Definitely, some of the stuff that we were allowed to
get away with.

Speaker 7 (02:09:29):
You think I would have been suspended more been available
to play. Good old days, good jump by Kings and
Winter's head a well. Romney steps in, plects it. Flick
playing side, got some it's gold on.

Speaker 12 (02:09:46):
It's just been a little.

Speaker 7 (02:09:47):
Skater a little bit today as Christian, as busy as
ever in the center of the.

Speaker 12 (02:09:53):
Park, don't be able to.

Speaker 7 (02:09:57):
There's much joy in attacking third signed now, maybe give
us twist a bit more license to move forward, whereas
maybe when Snyder Brunel's on Chris Nessa.

Speaker 12 (02:10:08):
Maybe said play the experienced player through the middle. There's it,
Fred almost nicks in. Good foot by FLORIANI just gets
his foot in.

Speaker 7 (02:10:17):
It's a good whip ball by LaRue to this near
sight to Judd lets it well.

Speaker 12 (02:10:22):
Rickets is making a run inside the eighteen yard box.

Speaker 7 (02:10:25):
Judd floats towards the back sit good ball to Budha
challenged by New towards the end line, he goes down
as New wins the ball cleanly over the end line.
It goes for a sixth corner kick for San Jose.
As they continue to knock, they're trying to steal something here.
San Jose went down one nil in Northern California earlier

(02:10:46):
in the season, a good one nil win on the
road for the Sounders against much of the play outshot
twenty four to seven. The Sounders can get a positive
result here, a draw or win, they would reclaim the
Heritage Cup. Between these two players ahead of my Hearts,
it's inside the six yard box, flashes wide, it's a
goal kick.

Speaker 12 (02:11:05):
But that is a chance of the game for San Jose.

Speaker 11 (02:11:11):
How does he gets Yeah, he is wide open along
the six yard line and it's a horrible miss. Just
the sound is there not good enough on the marketing
and listen, when you're fighting for a win in this league,
you cannot.

Speaker 4 (02:11:25):
Allow teams to get that kind of chance.

Speaker 11 (02:11:27):
The game began with a mistake and the sound is
almost closing out with just as big of a mistake there.
San Jose unable to punish them on this occasion and
so the game continues to to as you go towards
the final minutes.

Speaker 4 (02:11:38):
But San Jose given as good as they But but.

Speaker 7 (02:11:41):
There come the Sound is now right hand side Peter
Kingson driving forward inside the eighteen yard box cuts it
back off for hours. A good ball by Peter Kingson
found his man. There comes Christian rolled on left hand side.
Knew who now ten yards from the end line, whip
sitting in with his right foot.

Speaker 13 (02:11:59):
There's the way they go here at the eighteen night minute,
brilliant play by Now just flex the ball in and
it was aze heads The ball down finds the far
corner and the Sound.

Speaker 7 (02:12:15):
Has got three goals to two.

Speaker 4 (02:12:20):
Well, listen to the crowd raw and it's well deserved.
It's a very very good finished bout.

Speaker 11 (02:12:25):
Sarzey hit came close on the earlier head up, couldn't
quite find the back in in it on this occasion.
Makes no mistakes, great board, but I knew who just
flows us to the back post and the Sound has
just got away with this on one end.

Speaker 4 (02:12:38):
And that's how thin the margins are at this level.
For Sarsey, left.

Speaker 11 (02:12:43):
Wide open, he makes no mistake, heads into the bark corner,
go keep for no chance, and the Sounders.

Speaker 4 (02:12:53):
Come very close now to putting off what will be
a massive three points.

Speaker 7 (02:12:57):
Yeah, we hit the ninety minute markers Hassani and Jordan
Morris challenged for the ball. Five minutes about it time.
The fourth official just put up on his board and
we know five minutes after your scores whin you can
be most vulnerable, of course, but the Sounders are gonna
scrap and fight. Can they get two wins out of two?
The only loss for San Jose this season is against

(02:13:22):
the Sounders, and Bruce Arena just having a real go
at Reid Roberts there, he was demanding the ball go
forward down the channel read the young center back played
the ball short out of bounds. It goes Peter Kingston
now is going to throw it into a Zaz as
he twists and turns, challenges the ball and it flicks
off Ozaz and there'll be a throw in four San

(02:13:43):
Jose on this near side. So the Sounders with this win,
there'll be two wins out of two against San Jose
this year. San Jose with a number one team in
the Western Conference. So if the Sounders haven't proved anything
in those two games to show them they are worthy
of fighting for a very top spot here in the

(02:14:05):
Western Conference. And if they win this one, they retain
this lead, they will jump over LAFC into third position.

Speaker 12 (02:14:14):
As LAFC went down to one to Saint.

Speaker 7 (02:14:17):
Louis this evening, when the gap and the margins starts
to getting a little tighter up there.

Speaker 12 (02:14:26):
All goes in right hand side whipped. It's a good
voe sound.

Speaker 7 (02:14:29):
As he does.

Speaker 12 (02:14:30):
They focus here.

Speaker 7 (02:14:30):
Rickets has on this near side, couple of yards from
the headline, left hand side. Peter Kingston just challenging, holds
it up, goes back to Romney with his left footy
whips it in low and then hook clear by goalscorer Ozazi.
Sounders leading three goals to two five minutes of At
it time, we're two minutes into it already, Sounders looking

(02:14:50):
to try and retain the Heritage Cup. The competition between
these two clubs. Both the clubs celebrated was a couple
of years ago their fiftieth anniversary as an organized soccer
franchise Sounders nineteen seventy four, San Jose nineteen seventy four.

(02:15:12):
Sunder's just cheats.

Speaker 12 (02:15:14):
It down with Ariola all goes down the line.

Speaker 7 (02:15:17):
Jackson Reraken comes in, steps into his left foot, just
knocks it long.

Speaker 12 (02:15:25):
San Jose have it.

Speaker 7 (02:15:26):
Don't leave us at the end of this game.

Speaker 12 (02:15:28):
It locks the breakdown.

Speaker 7 (02:15:29):
Of course Jackson Felts, Pete Few and Kellen Rowe will
be here to break all things down. All goes down
like good strength by Rickets. This time the referee doesn't
give the foul. Rickets has it driving forward. Christian Rollan
comes across to help his brother. Good challenge, good hold
up played by Alex does his job well, headed forward
by Ferrera and then away by Floriani. Foul. It looked

(02:15:53):
like nothing given by the referee. Advantage given. Harts has it.
Jordan Morrice challenged slow to get up is Jordan Ricketts
has it now left hand side comes in his Judd
Awkley goes towards the ball. He's asking for a corner
kick and he'll get it. Less than two minutes to
go here sound does this stands strong? It's gonna be
a corner kick. Actually looks maybe he's an assistant. Referees

(02:16:17):
flag up on the far side. He's not gonna be
a corner kick. Trying to figure out if it's an
off side. Potentially, maybe it's overruled by the assistant referee.

Speaker 4 (02:16:28):
It was just an overrule. Yeah, it's gonna be a kick.

Speaker 7 (02:16:31):
Well, this copyrighting audio casts of Major League Soccer, man
I'll be retransmitted, reproduced, or rebroadcast without the express written
consent of Major League Soccer. Sounders. Leading three goals to
two is to get towards the final minute of this game.
I'll be back here on Saturday to play the Galaxy,

(02:16:52):
who went Now three goals are one against Sporting k C.

Speaker 12 (02:16:55):
Bruce Arena is on a.

Speaker 7 (02:16:56):
Yellow card and if he's not care for Dave Sarakin
as well, is trusting number two. It's just perplexed. Yeah,
it might be Sarahkon got the red card. He was
a straight red, so I'm trying to figure out it
could be a double red here.

Speaker 12 (02:17:15):
Really Arena should get one. He's outside the technical area.

Speaker 4 (02:17:18):
And that's what the referee was pointing to.

Speaker 11 (02:17:20):
If you can't mope in the technical area, I've got
to protect my assistant referee.

Speaker 7 (02:17:24):
Dave Sarakin is gonna get his marching orders, and that
just cherry on the cake first.

Speaker 12 (02:17:30):
That's gonna not lessen their frustration.

Speaker 7 (02:17:41):
So we'll see what happens here, because Dave Sarah is
gonna have to make his way. That's gonna go down
below should really walk off the field. But the Sounders
now have just seconds to go. They lead three to
be a huge three points for the Sounds against the
number one team in the Western Conference.

Speaker 12 (02:18:03):
Bore gets launched forward.

Speaker 7 (02:18:07):
Sounds.

Speaker 12 (02:18:07):
He's still fighting for it. Ricketts has been a thawn
in the side of the sound of since coming up.

Speaker 7 (02:18:11):
But great recovery by comedic Kingston. Strikes the ball down
the line and there's the referees whistle, and there's gonna
be players first, Santos are gonna walk over to the
referee have a word. It's pointing into his watch bang on.
Five minutes, maybe a few seconds after the referees. I

(02:18:32):
think it's been smart seem he's gonna make his way
quickly out on the far side of the tunnel.

Speaker 4 (02:18:36):
And I thought he reft a good game, mister. A
couple off more.

Speaker 11 (02:18:38):
He got a big big corns right to meet a
couple of board the line ones.

Speaker 4 (02:18:43):
But I thought the referee was on the issue today.
That game Sounds made it harder than it needs to be.

Speaker 11 (02:18:47):
I felt coming into this game, but all that matters
is the final result, and the sound is picking up
a massive three points. That's got to be said, and
it's a great way to now head into the weekend
to try to close out his homestead against the guy.

Speaker 7 (02:19:00):
While San Jose got off to a really good start
in the second minute with Fernandez and the Sounders called
their way back in that first half of the penalty
from Albert Ruznek and then it was Farrera solo Goalway
picked the ball up, took it about sixty yards up
the field, cut it left, cut it right, found the
back of the net to make it two to one,
and then Judd top goal score for San Jose off

(02:19:21):
the bench for the second half. He gets a goal
to tie things up in the sixty ninth minute, and
then Ozaze de Rosario eighty ninth minute winner by the
young man downward header from across from new who gets
the three points for the Sounders. Well, thanks for everyone
involved in today's broadcast. Terry Ryan here in the booth,
Travis Moga down over at the studio, Kevin k Keely

(02:19:44):
Dunning as always for their prep and great information to
get us ready for every single game, and of course
the Sounder is legend Steve zach Kwani alongside.

Speaker 12 (02:19:54):
Me here in the booth. Great win for the Sounders.

Speaker 7 (02:19:57):
They got off to a bad start, they rolled up
their they showed resilience of a champion and came back
to win it in the last minute. And they are
Heritage Cup champs again. And they retained the trophy after
winning it last year. And they jump over LFC to
third position in the Western Conference. We'll be back here
on Saturday evening to face the La Galaxy. But don't

(02:20:17):
leave us Jackson, Feltzpete Few and Kellen Row. We'll be
back to break everything down. I'm Danny Jackson. Thanks for
joining us today from Luminfield where it finishes the Sounders
three Santos A Earthquakes two.

Speaker 2 (02:21:41):
That was a big three points Seattle Sounders win tonight
at Luminfield. Your final score is three to two. After
a wild ninety minutes here at Luminfield, happy faces leaving
the building here in this midweek battle between the Sounders
and the top club, formerly the top in all of MLS,

(02:22:02):
they're now second place in the Western Conference. After the
Sounders get a three to two win tonight, you get
Albert Rusnak with a penalty kick goal. You had Haysus
Ferreira with one of the goals of the year for
the Sounders, and then knew who crossing to a Sase
de Rosario the winner in the eighty ninth minute.

Speaker 6 (02:22:21):
What a match.

Speaker 2 (02:22:22):
We welcome you to the postmatch show, Jackson felt alongside
the player at Kellen Row the coach Pete viewing. So
much to discuss from this game. Your instant thoughts, Kellen,
I brought a pen.

Speaker 3 (02:22:33):
I couldn't write how many times we had chances? I
couldn't keep up. Look, we won three to two. That's
a great result for us.

Speaker 5 (02:22:40):
I'm glad that we came back, obviously starting with a
goal down basically after kickoff. Yeah, not a good thing
to have. We talked about not shooting ourselves in the foot.
But credit to the guys. They came back, they found
a way around it. But you want to see a
little bit more composure for myself. You want to see
the more composure in the box as you get through
this season. Right, we're just over or just under I
guess a third of the season. Find a way to

(02:23:02):
get into that mid form because you're gonna take a
long break here in the UH with the World Cup
coming in. Find a way to get these last few
games in and and you got to blow them out, right,
we have, we haven't really had a blowout in this game.
We talk about getting the offense back. We scored three goals, great,
but you had to come back each time, right, You
started off down.

Speaker 2 (02:23:23):
One zero, you get your goal back, you go up one,
and you get it back again.

Speaker 5 (02:23:27):
You gotta find a way to get some consistency in here,
and I think it comes with a little bit composure
in the box, having a little bit unselfish play. And
coach is gonna disagree because he thinks we're passing too
much in the box, but we're making the wrong decisions
when it comes to it around the box. Can you
make the extra pass or if you have the chance,
shoot the ball.

Speaker 6 (02:23:44):
Yeah, yeah, sometimes you got to pull the trigger here
for me. And you just said it down one nothing,
come back, that's good. And then you go up two
to one, and then you give up a goal and
you can feel the air come out of the stadium.

Speaker 7 (02:23:55):
Right.

Speaker 6 (02:23:55):
And this is a team, the Sounders team facing it,
a San Jose team that you're thinking, we can really
take advantage of them right now because they've rotated their rosters.
So we kept pushing. We kept pushing, had chances hit
the bar in the first half post and then to
get that second third goal to go ahead. And I
love the fact that the guys who scored the goal.

(02:24:18):
Ferrera we need him scoring goals, Azase we need him
scoring goals. Albert, we need him scoring goals. So I
love it that those three guys contributed.

Speaker 12 (02:24:25):
And that was.

Speaker 6 (02:24:28):
We saw it the last two games, right, You're playing
against teams you think you're going to beat on paper,
and it's a tough leak. So for Seattle to battle
back and come out with a win, I was really
happy for the team. Subs did a good job. They
changed the formation right, they went to three at the back.
That made a difference and they kept pushing. So it's
a good win to build off of. And I'm with you, Keillen.

(02:24:49):
I don't want to go into the World Cup break
on the decline, so it was important to get three
points today, especially important when you look at the table
we've got. We're on eleven games right now, right and
Vancouver and San Jose they are on thirteen for San
Jose and twelve for Vancouver, So Vancouver's in first place

(02:25:12):
with twenty nine points. San Jose's twenty nine points, Vancouver
twelve games, San Jose thirteen we're on eleven point eleven
games with twenty four points. So I like, you know,
I like that they battle back and found a way
to get a win. Good goals, Holy cal Forerer's goal,
very good, right and Osase school it's easy to miss those,

(02:25:33):
so good goal from him, too, good cross.

Speaker 5 (02:25:35):
Coach on your end, And this is a question to
you because you've been in these locker rooms before, you've
played against these teams where you're saying, Okay, hey guys,
this is a rotated lineup.

Speaker 2 (02:25:41):
This is a lineup that we should beat on paper.

Speaker 5 (02:25:43):
I wouldn't choose a single player on this team to
replace you know, the good old classic coaches line. But
you know this is happening now multiple times in a
row where there's a rotated lineup. You can talk about
Kansas City, right, you should walk into Kansas City, have
a nap, take a take a cigarette, wake up, and
walk out with three points like they're they're not a
very good team at the moment. So we come out

(02:26:04):
and we we tie in one one. And then you
go out here and you're thinking, okay, San Jose, lineup.
You look on paper and you're going we can beat them, right,
But you learn had time. Why is it that we
can go against some of the best teams in the
league and come out successfully, and go against the middle
to the lower part of the league, or even just
on paper, the middle to the lower part of a lineup,

(02:26:26):
and and not play well.

Speaker 6 (02:26:29):
The fact, you know, I remember as a coach, one
of the parents looking at me and we somehow came
away with a win. Couldn't tell you any of the details,
but he just looked at me and said, well, this
is why we show up right And and so when
you get a chance, if you're gonna play against like
a Peter Kingston, he's got one start in the MLS
right now, but all of a sudden he gets a start,

(02:26:50):
he's gonna cause a lot of problems against you. So
the guys were playing against maybe it is a rotated lineup,
but it's their chance to do something. It's their chance
to go against Seattle again. You're playing for Bruce Arena,
which I think elevates a lot of players want to
they want to do well for him. So yeah, no,
it's it's it's a funny conundrum. If we could figure

(02:27:10):
it out, we'd win the Supporter Shield in the MLS.
Cup every single year.

Speaker 2 (02:27:14):
It's not that easy, but boy, the Sounders fought throat
and got the w today three to two over the
San Jose Earthquakes. There are many many moments in this
game that I want to discuss with both of you,
from the very very start of this game to the
very very end of this game. I want to talk
about about five or six moments with each of you
to go through these plays, because this game, the excitement

(02:27:36):
of it with a three to two win, deserves that.

Western Conference with games in hand. Lots of excitement to
be had here in Sounderland. Will continue on the postgame

Jackson Pelts, Kellen Rowe, Pete Fewen here on the postmatch show,

(02:29:26):
let's go moment by moment, gentlemen, I want to go
through specific moments from this game that really changed everything
we thought was going to happen to something completely different.
The first of these moments not even two minutes into
this game, Kilani cozer Rienzi, playing right back with the giveaway,

(02:29:46):
does not reach Andrew Thomas in goal on the back pass.
It's picked off one pass and Fernandez puts it in
the back of the net for San Jose to grab
a one nothing lead.

Speaker 3 (02:29:56):
Quick thought from each of you on what you saw
on that play, Well, I appreciate you saying that.

Speaker 5 (02:30:00):
I appreciate you asking like I woke up, I had
a cup of coffee, you know, I was scrolling through
and I'm just kidding. No.

Speaker 3 (02:30:06):
When they started this game, that's what they felt like
they were doing, right, they were having a cup of coffee. Still,
the Sounders, they weren't ready for this game.

Speaker 2 (02:30:12):
It was just a little bit slow.

Speaker 5 (02:30:13):
In my mind, it was a good pass, it was
a good idea, sorry. The idea for Colonie to make
that pass back to Andrew Thomas, who's good with his feet,
is good to have. However, the pass itself was not
so good. It needs to be a little bit more
with pace. Andrew Thomas, like I said, has good feet.

Speaker 2 (02:30:27):
Hang it out to him.

Speaker 5 (02:30:28):
I'm not saying put it at his chest, but you know,
put a little pace on it. Make sure that it's there,
especially the first few minutes of the game. And coach
you will attest to this. Oftentimes you don't want to
play out of the back the first five ten minutes
of a game.

Speaker 2 (02:30:38):
You want to put it.

Speaker 5 (02:30:39):
You want to you know, I don't want to say
dump it into their half, but make the center backs
turn around, make it a little harder, get it out
of your area. You know.

Speaker 2 (02:30:47):
I know that it's a beautiful game.

Speaker 5 (02:30:48):
You can play out of the back and continue to
make these passes and if it's there, of course, yeah,
but make it an easy first five minutes, because that's
a hard time to lose all your tactics and have
to fight back one zero.

Speaker 6 (02:31:00):
Yeah. I think that's actually a really good point. Maybe
that's a new tactic that you I'm not kidding you
should bring that up with Brian.

Speaker 4 (02:31:11):
All the time.

Speaker 3 (02:31:12):
First five minutes, no mess, Yeah, just.

Speaker 6 (02:31:15):
Get it forward, get the rhythm of the game. And
I mean we saw it with Paul Rothrock scoring in
two minutes. You got to start a game right from
the beginning, right, And so I think it was one
of those where Colonne and Clonie's got to be He's
got to say, hey, I've got to be a little
bit sharper on the ball. Brian will bring that up
with him because it's very important. Peter Kingston had a

(02:31:36):
good night tonight right in that similar area at the
back on the right hand side, so uh, he'll fix it.
Colonie'll fix it, no problem. But I kind of like
the idea of hey, get it out, don't be afraid.
And when we went up three to two, Jackson, Reagan
Alex trolled on each had balls where they just bent
it down the line right, take the pressure off for
a couple of minutes. So maybe the first five minutes,

(02:31:58):
let's not mess around with the ball.

Speaker 2 (02:32:00):
Punt it with purpose.

Speaker 6 (02:32:01):
Is that a new turn.

Speaker 5 (02:32:01):
Pump Punt it with purpose instead of boot Put it
with purpose, do kick it out and punch.

Speaker 2 (02:32:08):
It's more fun. Yeah, I like that all right. So
San Jose grab a one nothing lead in the second
minute of this game. Tactic gets thrown out the window,
Seattle recover, create a bunch of chances. Then forty first
minute a nice give and go gets new who in
the box. He actually gets a position on Daniel who
comes out of his goal and who pops it over

(02:32:29):
towards the back post. There is again Kilani cosa Rienzi
working against two defenders towards the back post. On that
new cross, if you want to call it across, was
absolutely cross. Kilani pushes off maybe question mark. A defender
goes up, heads, the ball down, comes off the defender's arm,
A handball is given. Albert Rusnak steps up, hits the

(02:32:52):
penalty in the forty third minute the big question, And folks,
I'll take you behind the scenes. Right there before the
halftime show started and right before the second half started,
the debate between Kelen Row and Steve Zachawani over the
question was it a foul on Kilani or not? That
debate will rage for a while. Let's continue that debate here,

(02:33:13):
was it or foul or not on Kilanie? And why
Kellan Rowe well Look, I say it was a foul.
Steve Zachawani never played defense in his life.

Speaker 5 (02:33:22):
He is the forward that's pushing off all the time,
so yeah, he doesn't think it's a foul. Look I
think I do think he was a foul. And it
was a foul because it was two hands. Because if
you talk about this, you can agree that there.

Speaker 3 (02:33:35):
Was two hands to the back. You have to be
able to disguise it.

Speaker 5 (02:33:38):
And yes, there's gonna be controversy over this, and I
bet you there's gonna be an apology later on, especially
because it was against Bruce Arena, who obviously lit up
the fourth official.

Speaker 3 (02:33:47):
But you have to be a little bit more savvy.

Speaker 5 (02:33:49):
The guy who was really really good at this and
I always say this is his soccer sabiness and soccer
i q Freddie Montero. Yeah, always had a way of
when a defender. He's not the biggest guy in the
sense of height, even in the sense of strength, but
he was so smart that when the defender was going
to jump, he would put his body as I do
it to coach here, he would put his body next
to it so he couldn't really jump, and if he did,

(02:34:10):
he'd be off balance and so all of a sudden,
the ball would come down to his chest. This is
something that it was so well disguised because there was
no hands on. It was just moving your body correctly
at the right time.

Speaker 6 (02:34:21):
Yeah, Kilany had.

Speaker 2 (02:34:22):
Two hands on.

Speaker 3 (02:34:23):
Even if he just had one, that to me wouldn't
be a foul.

Speaker 2 (02:34:26):
Yeah, but the fact that it was two hands extended.

Speaker 6 (02:34:28):
Yeah, I'm with you. The hands looked extended. The movement
of the player right the hands, the chest goes out
and the hands go up, and so I was very
surprised he didn't go to the r and they called
it on. As a matter of fact, as soon as
it happened in real time, I thought.

Speaker 2 (02:34:44):
It almost felt like a foul was called in the
moment and then it quickly changed to a penalty.

Speaker 6 (02:34:49):
Yeah. Yeah, yeah. So but over the course of a
thirty four game regular season, you're going to get some
calls like that, and you're gonna have some calls like
that go against you. So today we were fortunate to
get that to tie it up, and.

Speaker 5 (02:35:01):
We still had to put it away, right, Albert still
had to put it away and the penanka.

Speaker 2 (02:35:05):
It was nice, It was it was nice. It was
it was. It was good and that gave the Sounders
there brought him back to one to one there right
before halftime. All right, it is now time for our
Emerald Queen Casino Play of the match. As we go
to the fifty fifth minutes, I'll just let Danny Jackson
tell you what Hazu's Ferira did.

Speaker 7 (02:35:22):
Ferra now drives across the halfway line, pushing the ball
forward down the middle missofsk choice right. Ferira cuts the
ball to his white foot, strikes off what's the goal water.

Speaker 3 (02:35:32):
Indif took all by Fererra.

Speaker 7 (02:35:35):
He took the ball from the hold off the Philly drove.

Speaker 13 (02:35:40):
Forward, He cut it to the left, cut it to
the right, and then he found the back of the net.

Speaker 7 (02:35:46):
And the sound is lead to one.

Speaker 2 (02:35:49):
The play of the match is presented by Emerald Queen Casino,
the betting capital of the Northwest. Seventy five yards has
Wu's Ferira takes it, intercepts a pass about twenty yards
from Sounder's goal, drives seventy five yards up the field
with the ball, jukes a defender out of his boots,
goes left, goes right, and then slams it into the

(02:36:09):
back of the net for the Sounders two to one
lead in the fifty fifth minutes. You guys are laughing
right now? What are you laughing about him? I am
I off Bunce on this play of the match.

Speaker 6 (02:36:19):
We were talking about who's the player of the match,
and I mean, that was such a fantastic goal and
he and he used his teammates well right as a
decoy because you kept thinking fre was gonna you are accurate.
He went seventy five yards with the ball right and
then he cuts it, cuts it back his second touch
to give himself a little bit of room and then

(02:36:40):
froze the goalkeeper right to the near post. So that
was a really good goal. You know, that's his second
goal of the year. Uh five or six assists, But
I loved it. He was selfish, right, and we talked
about that with sometimes too many passes, a little bit
selfish in the goal and we need that a little
bit more of that.

Speaker 2 (02:36:57):
So a lot of fans are going to watch that
goal and Keeley is one of them, and she saw
the same thing that I think a lot of fans did,
and that was like Jual Paulo a number of years back.
And Kellen, were you on the field when that play
happened against Colorado. No, I'm like I was on the bench.
I got a great view of it. You had a
great view and a lot of fans with it. Wasn't
that like the dual Paulo wins Colorado where he took
it eighty yards down the field and and I don't know,

(02:37:21):
how do they stack up for you? No, not even close.
I think those are those are light years apart.

Speaker 5 (02:37:25):
The way that that Jo Paulo took that ball and
threw defenders through moments, that's just it wasn't anywhere near it.

Speaker 3 (02:37:31):
So he was hoiling off players.

Speaker 5 (02:37:33):
He was megan two or three two guys fell in
front of him like he was he was the hand
of God.

Speaker 2 (02:37:37):
Like it was incredible that it was incredible. Now, how
about this play?

Speaker 5 (02:37:42):
Well, this play, this this play was actually I think
shows what Ferrera is talented at. He is a number ten, right,
Obviously we're playing him as an outside midfielder that tucks
in as a secondary number ten next to Albert Rusen
because he does fades a little bit to the left. However,
this goal, because most of us are thinking, hey, Hay's
is our best passer, especially in dangerous areas, and so

(02:38:03):
he had two options, and everyone in our us included
are thinking, Okay, which one is he going to play?
I bet you the defenders are thinking the same thing.
He's always thinking past first.

Speaker 3 (02:38:12):
But guess what he thought. Okay, let me use this
as a disguise.

Speaker 5 (02:38:15):
He has again a huge soccer IQ where he's he's
using his players to faint as I try to emulate
what he's doing currently in the booth. He faints one
way cuts, it cuts one more time. And you talk
about that little bit of space. It was not for
the younger players that hopefully are listening to this and
get to go watch this goal.

Speaker 3 (02:38:34):
It is not a full foot. It is not a
full piece of space.

Speaker 5 (02:38:38):
Where you're going. That's an easy finish. He has the
defender reaching for the ball. He has a very small window.

Speaker 2 (02:38:44):
But all you need is half a ball. All you
need is half a ball and a quick trigger.

Speaker 3 (02:38:48):
And he does that exactly right.

Speaker 5 (02:38:49):
And he goes near posts because he knows if he
goes far it's gonna get blocked.

Speaker 3 (02:38:53):
All right, let's go to the next moment.

Speaker 2 (02:38:55):
You guys were talking about player of the match right there,
So let's let's decide this for toy toyota man of
the match. Are you guys in agreement it's Ferreira. I
didn't want to interrupt her anything.

Speaker 5 (02:39:05):
I think Farira had the better game. I think he
absolutely was an incredible he always does. I think he
always is our best attacking player in many ways. However,
I will throw out that technically in my mind as
a player, and most of ours knew who had two.

Speaker 12 (02:39:21):
Assists, so and I agree.

Speaker 6 (02:39:25):
I do agree and knew who.

Speaker 5 (02:39:27):
He only hit credit for one because one of them
was a penalty kick, right, But you will, for you
know a player's mind. If you created the penalty kick,
you should get credited for some sense of the.

Speaker 2 (02:39:35):
Counterpoint, credit the counterpoint. You already ruled that that should
have been a foul. Don't care.

Speaker 5 (02:39:40):
He's still on paper, on paper. We're going on paper today.
Pus You decide, is it is it new for me?

Speaker 6 (02:39:46):
It's for I just thought on the ball, Kellen's right,
he's just such a very talented passer. He's selfless. And
then he was selfless in scoring the goal in that
the team needed him to score that goal, right, And
so his decision making on the ball, whether it pass
or whether it take the shot. I think he certainly
deserves it. I've been really impressed with his play.

Speaker 2 (02:40:07):
All right, it's Hayu's Ferrera. Your local toylet Dealers are
proud to present tonight's man of the match. Let's go
to the final moment and the fact that we haven't
even talked about this yet. It shows you how exciting
of a game this was the Sounders one three to
two tonight over the San Jose Earthquakes at Luminfield. Sounders
take a two to one lead on that Ferrera Go
San Jose, get one back. In the sixty ninth minute,
Preston Judd gets a nice space, makes a nice move,

(02:40:28):
takes a deflection back of the net, makes it two
to two. In the sixty ninth Brian Schmenzer changes his tactics.
He gets three at the back and then knew who
again as you're talking about there, gets the assist. In
the eighty ninth minute, gets himself in a good position,
crosses it to the middle of the box. For some reason,
nobody is covering Osase de Rosario. He heads it into
the back of the net. Eighty ninth minute winner. Sounders

(02:40:51):
win three to two. That specific play. I think everybody
is leaving asking themselves, how did Osase get that wide open?

Speaker 3 (02:40:59):
Kellen, Well, it's just bad defending it. And I will
say this, we talk about we're gonna go back a
little bit. We're gonna go back.

Speaker 5 (02:41:04):
About two three minutes before that goal happened, and we
talked about it in the halftime. We talked about in
the pregame Bruce Arena is gonna bring these good players
off the bench.

Speaker 2 (02:41:12):
He's hoping that it's gonna be close. And it's exactly
what happened.

Speaker 5 (02:41:15):
Right, Judd came on, Buddha came on, they created something.
Rickets at the end on here and the left was
creating things. And so before that goal in about the
eighty fifth to the eighty ninth, let's say, because it
happened in the eighty ninth, San Jose was all over us.
They were getting chance after chance, counter after counter. Ian
harks On a corner kick was wide open and unfortunately

(02:41:35):
snapped it too much and it went just wide right.

Speaker 2 (02:41:38):
That was one of one of the goals.

Speaker 3 (02:41:40):
You could see Bruce rina throws his hands up going
that was it.

Speaker 4 (02:41:43):
Right.

Speaker 5 (02:41:43):
A minute later, Kingston has a good little play in
the right here, finds the correct pass to Ferrera.

Speaker 2 (02:41:49):
On the top of the box.

Speaker 5 (02:41:50):
It gets blocked, Christian Roldan takes it down, passes it
to new who out wide, who smartly puts it in
first time, and for some reason San Jose decided to
leave six. I'm gonna say six six two hundred pound better,
you know, best player in the air that we have.
You know, obviously won one v zero against the goalie

(02:42:11):
and he calmly puts it away. But I think the
the the art of the game that we have here
is that we could have lost the game a minute
ago and we just won it a minute later.

Speaker 6 (02:42:21):
Yeah, and for azse To, I said a moment ago,
it's easier to miss those than it is sometimes to
make you try.

Speaker 2 (02:42:28):
So he put it straight down.

Speaker 6 (02:42:29):
He put it straight down, which you need to do
against a goalkeeper, right, because they're they're getting big, they're
coming up to get big, so at their feet is
that is the toughest spot for them. So good for him.
We needed that from him yesterday in training. He was
very sharp with his feet, right. I don't think we
saw too much with his head, but he did what
he had to do, which is bury that chance so

(02:42:50):
and and you know sometimes forwards we'll find extra space,
they'll go in, they'll come back out create that And
good for new who for putting it on his head.
And then he got good power on the on the
ball as well. So I think that's gonna be a
happy locker room. I wouldn't even say relieved. I think
they're gonna be happy with how they fought back each
each time they went down, they went ahead, they got

(02:43:13):
tied up, and then they came back.

Speaker 5 (02:43:15):
Got the goal. So as you see the goal of
the movement, you talk about the movement in the box,
obviously Oase take it kind of takes a step back
away from one of the center backs, but you don't
you miss the Jordan Morris run as well to take
both center backs. But he's going near post to take
both center backs. Now, I don't think the center back
made the right decision and going with Jordan and doubling
Jordan Morris. But that left Asase. So you know, you

(02:43:36):
gotta credit the runs. We always talked about one has
to go to near post. It almost sacrificed themselves. And
then one back post, and that one nose back post
was a good ball.

Speaker 2 (02:43:43):
Could finish Sounders win three to two over San Jose
in the middle of this big three game.

Speaker 3 (02:43:48):
And eight day stretch.

Speaker 2 (02:43:49):
Now what's ahead. We will talk to you about Saturday's
match right back here at Lumenfield, three days away. We'll
tell you all about it next on the post game
show sports Radio in ninety three point three kJ.

Speaker 1 (02:44:04):
Now back to Seattle Sounders Sucker on Sports Radio ninety
three point three KJR FM.

Speaker 2 (02:44:10):
Welcome back to Lumenfield. We're celebrating a Sounders three to
two wins. So are the seagulls picking up all the food.
But as we just learned, the fake hawk noise here
in the PA system at Lewminfield scaring all the seagulls away.
Quite a system they have here, but they are happy
with the food. We are happy with the victory as
the Sounders have won this second game in eight day stretch.

(02:44:33):
They got the drag inst San Diego last weekend, the
win today and then now it's the kind of the
California you know influx here to Luminfield because the La
Galaxy are coming to town this Saturday night. Right back
here at Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumenfield. That's May sixteenth,
we will have, just like tonight, a provident Swedish premat
show of six o'clock. Kickoff though on Saturday will be

(02:44:56):
at six twenty five, so make sure to be in
your seat here if you come into Luminfield by six
twenty five for kickoff, we'll have the match for you
right here Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM, plus
you can watch it on Apple TV and listen in
Spanish language on l Ray thirteen sixty. So, gentlemen, looking
at today's lineup, it was all the same except for

(02:45:17):
one change, that being Moose for Jordan Morris, as it
was from the San Diego game over the weekend. So, Kellen,
I think there are quite a few changes to come
for Saturday's game against the Galaxy.

Speaker 3 (02:45:29):
I think so you and coach.

Speaker 5 (02:45:30):
Already kind of expressed what it could be, and I
think Kingston deserves a little bit of a shot, and
if you're gonna you're gonna rotate a little bit, that
would be one that I could see. You don't really
have any center back depth in that sense, so you
think you're gonna see Alex and Jackson kind of there Again,
I don't see new who going away, you know, maybe
giving Pariol a chance, I would I would run out

(02:45:54):
Ferreira again, I would run out Albert again. You know,
I know you want to play Paul Rothrock, but I
think off the bench to get that a little bit
of burst is what you also need, although you kind
of want someone with a little bit of grit coming
against La Galaxy as well.

Speaker 2 (02:46:10):
But yeah, I think there's that.

Speaker 3 (02:46:11):
And then I say you start Ausse, you start Asse, Yeah,
it makes sense.

Speaker 6 (02:46:15):
Pete well Tue the run well, yes, yes, and that's
been them. He started Missofski. He got the goal before
and Brian said it before two games ago. He just said,
I'm waiting for one of the three forwards to take
ownership of that position. So as he gets the goal,
he gets the opportunity. And because we've used twenty different

(02:46:36):
players in the starting lineup, only two players have played
started every game. Knew who and Andrew Thomas and goals,
so I think they can rotate and they can. We've
been very good, in my opinion, the substitutions that have
happened over the last few games. They've elevated the game
when they've come on.

Speaker 3 (02:46:54):
The that changed the three at the back seems to
be working.

Speaker 6 (02:46:57):
Yeah, absolutely, so I can see. I could see Peter Kingston.
I know that there was talk about him starting tonight
at maybe at the right back position, so I can
see that happening as well, and I'm with you. I'd
put Ozase to start up front. The good thing is
guys are so comfortable coming off the bench that they
know if they don't start the game. Jordan Morris wanted

(02:47:18):
to start all three of these games, right, you know,
he's been around competitor, he's a competitor. Of course he
wants to start all three games. And coach says, well,
you're going to play in every one of them, right,
So I'm going to rotate. But now we'll see if
he starts on the right You never know. I do
like your idea of Forever's starting. So the nice thing
is we have a lot of options, right, and they're

(02:47:39):
going to need this one. It's a Saturday game, but
then we don't play till the following Sunday, so you
can push guys a little bit. There's a good recovery time.
But today it's going to be Thursday, Friday, and we're
back on the field in two days.

Speaker 2 (02:47:52):
That's a good point is, as Allen said, you can
run out Albert and Hayes. Susan say, all right, you
got a full seven days to recover now before LAFC
on the twenty, and then there's the World Cup break,
so it's you don't run those legs because you had
a big break ahead two matches left right now before
that World Cup break. Well, I want to thank everybody
with tonight's broadcast. We got Travis Moger back in the studio,

(02:48:13):
got Terry Ryan here on site, and also a great
call tonight from Danny Jackson and Steve Zachawani.

Speaker 3 (02:48:19):
Our broadcast producer is Keeley Dunning.

Speaker 2 (02:48:22):
Pete Fewing here on preaff post and also Kellen. Great
to have you in the booth as well.

Speaker 3 (02:48:26):
It's been fun.

Speaker 5 (02:48:26):
Look if you come in on Saturday, hopefully it's a
beautiful day. But I want to make sure everyone knows
that Vino FC now has a canned rose called Playmaker
here in lumen Field where I'm gonna be here having
some drinks with you guys before the game on Saturday,
because we you know, I used to score against La Galaxy,
you guys should now score against La Galaxy before the game.
And at halftime. I will be before the game on

(02:48:48):
Spirits on main main Level one sixteen. Meet me there,
let's have a drink together, talk soccer, talk about the game,
and then we'll meet up at halftime.

Speaker 2 (02:48:55):
Agains.

Speaker 3 (02:48:55):
Was that the playmaker Rose? Playmaker Rose?

Speaker 2 (02:48:58):
I tell you what, folks, the playmaker find it at
h boy, find it in your in the stadium. It's
real good. All right. That'll do it for our broadcast.
Thanks to everybody. Jackson Felt signing off here tonight. We
will talk to everybody on Saturday at six.

Speaker 3 (02:49:11):
Pm for the Galaxy game.
