Speaker 1 (00:00):
Sharbon A is in Cooper Cup, goes in long motion
from left to right. It's gonna be a run to
charbone big hole on the cutback twenty fifteen, ten five
down the sideline touchdown Seattle his twelfth of the year.
But this one goes for twenty seven yards.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
You cannot peak if you're an edge defender, you cannot
peek inside.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
I'm hoping for more of that tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (00:24):
I know all of us are well beat down in
See Town tomorrow starting at five o'clock against the forty
nine ers. And I got a lot of guys in
town that we know they made the short trip up
from San Francisco. One of them is on the way
up tomorrow. One of them is already here. But the
one that's on the way up tomorrow, our friend from
the game in San Francisco, our pal Bonta Hill, joining

(00:44):
us right now on the radio program. I'm actually shocked
to coming up here for this thing tomorrow, given how
badly the Niners are gonna get clocked tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
You know that sounds you just play what was that
from twenty sixteen, twenty fifteen. That's some old audio. You
guys got to refresh your systems up there. I don't, man, say,
what the hell is that?

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Oh yeah, that's the guy that ran it up your
ass the last game. That's who that is. It's like
two whole weeks ago.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
I mean, honestly, dude, Like smart Alec comments aside, thirty
eight minutes o'clock time, dude, I mean they ran for
one hundred and seventy. I was on with you before
the game and we talked about how good this defense was.
But I was really surprised at how the Seahawks physically
controlled the tempo and dominated that game in Week eighteen.

(01:30):
I guess your thoughts on what you saw from Week
eighteen and how much that concerns you from your perspective
for tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Pill, Well, well, I can hear the shock in your
voice because on my station, you picked the Niners and
win that football game.

Speaker 5 (01:44):
So I know you're stunned just like I am.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
So you know you got you know now, I got
to sleep in the bathroom of course after we made
that bet. But anyway, yeah, that was a disaster. That
was a disaster. I'm not gonna lie. Thirteen to three
really felt like thirty to three. The Niners couldn't stop
the run. They couldn't get anything going on offense. And
look over the last three games against Seattle, it's no
secret at McDonald is Asenahn's number just allowing twelve and

(02:08):
a half points per game. I mean, the Niners score
thirty seven over the last three against Seattle. So that's
not gonna fly this week. You're gonna have to score
a little bit and put some pressure on that defense.
But you got to start with stopping a run. Not
about last week against Philly. They tackled better, had eighteen
missed tackles in that Week eighteen game against Seattle. So
the fact that it was only thirteen to three gives

(02:29):
me a little more confidence in the forty nine ers
tomorrow to pull off the upset up there Atlumenfield and
have Softing and Dick up there crying all summer to
all off season. Say what happened? They were at the
number one seed. What happened? Well, the forty Niners came
up there and took your lunch. Butddy, that's what happened.
That's what's gonna happen tomorrow. So do not expect a
repeat of Week EIGHTEENM.

Speaker 6 (02:48):
Wow, Well, what I don't understand is that the defensive
strategy of the Niners two weeks ago? I mean, why
are the safety's fifteen yards in the secondary just allowing
Ken Walker and Zach Charbonnay to get five yards before
they're even touched by anybody. I mean, do they think
Sam Donald's like the second coming of Joe Montanner or something.
I mean, they treated him like an all pro quarterback,

(03:09):
and I thought, from what I've heard from everybody across
the country, Sam Donald sucks evidently. So if that's the case,
then why don't you make Sam Donald beat you instead
of Ken Walker and Zach Charbonnay like they did two
weeks ago?

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Well, because I think this safety crew is seeing ghosts.
No pun attended, they're seeing ghosts. They had PTSD from
what happened in Minnesota a couple of seasons ago when
Donald threw a ninety eight yard bomb to Justin Jefferson. Look,
I'm not gonna no secret. Jia Brown's au tomorrow. I'm
a twenty seven for the forty nine ers, and I
think Niners fans saying hallelujah, thank god he's not playing,

(03:42):
because he may be the worst cover safety and maybe
the worst safety in football, and he was chirping saying that, hey,
he's a top five safety.

Speaker 5 (03:49):
That's in that he took.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Remember the third and seventeen Week eighteen, where's kennif Walker
the thirds takes the handoff, Seattle conceded to drive and
yet she guys get a first down. The eagle heats
on that play alone was a micro costum of that
safety play.

Speaker 5 (04:03):
So one, sure they were afraid of.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Jaxi Smith and jiggl getting deep over the top and
Shaheed getting deep over the top. But two, these safeties
needed to play fifteen yards off the line of scripts
because they don't tackle anyway. So the rookie Martis Siegal
will get the start who played earlier in the season,
not like Mustafa scares of living you know what out
of me. So there's no secret at these the safeties
on this Niners defense is the weakness.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
See this is why I think bunte Hill for the
game with us. What you said before about you guys
coming up here and winning this game, I don't think
you believe any of that that came out of your mouth.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
I think you're just putting on a show.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
And I appreciate that, by the way, because we need
that we need the entertainment factor on this radio station.
It's not gonna be any fun if you come out
here and say, oh, you guys are right like E
or we're gonna kick your ass. But I mean, honestly,
there's no Kittle. Obviously, there's no Fred Warner. We'll see
about Pierce Saal. Trent Williams is gonna play, I assume
in this game tomorrow because he played last week.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
But I I just don't know.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
I mean, tell me why, honestly, Banta from a football perspective.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Where they better?

Speaker 5 (05:07):
What?

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Where are they better? Where are they better than they
were in week eighteen? And why will this be different?

Speaker 5 (05:15):
Well, we are in the entertainment business, so you know
that's take.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Hey for the audience, for the audience, and bore me
right now.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
Okay, do what the butcher boy does on your station
every morning, and poored the hell out of me right now.

Speaker 5 (05:29):
Go ahead, there, I knew that was coming.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Look the difference is Trent will play and Shanahan has
had time to dissect Mike McDonald's defense. I mean, he
got undressed in that game at Levi Statnam just three
points in that game. And look they do have experience
beating you guys, don George Kittle.

Speaker 5 (05:50):
They did it a week one. They did the week one.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Despite the kicker who's no longer on the roster, listened
a couple of field goals. They cut his ass before
they got the Tacoma Airport. All right, he was gone, Jake.
He's out of here, so.

Speaker 5 (06:01):
He won't be able.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
He won't be there to keep you guys in the
football game. They'll look at Woland and Pierce all will play.
From what I'm hearing, he will be doc in this
Slane boy, did they need them because they need somebody
to take the top off the defense. But it's just
the momentum they know, they believe. And look, once that
game gets tight and he gets tighter and tighter and tighter,
and then Lennam Boody will loom large on Sam Darland

(06:22):
and that offense, the Niners will go ahead and take
that over. It's a divisional game. They know how embarrassed
they were. And look rock Perty, how many games did
he lost up there in Seattle? Just saying, I mean
now that time so he doesn't really How.

Speaker 6 (06:36):
Many times was he the worst team when he was
up here? How many times was he the less had,
the less talented team, and one up here.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
As is probably the less talented TV he's had.

Speaker 5 (06:46):
There's no doubt about that. This team is banged up.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
McCaffrey's playing at an all time level.

Speaker 5 (06:51):
They will be.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Fine, party will be fine. He was seeing goes in
that game in Week eight team, but you know what,
they played so bad in that game, and I think
Trent makes that much much much of a difference. Kirk
Williams not playing and that game the offensive line looks terrible.
Trent Williams is a Hall of Fame tackle who makes
that much of a difference in the run game and
the passing, which means he'll get a little more time
to throw the football. He'll get a little more time

(07:13):
for It'll be a little more time for those receivers
of getting down the football field. So look, it's gonna
be a blood bath. It's not gonna be easy. I
get it to Niners of seven or seven and a
half point dolls, but they will do the unthinkable because
the Niners quarterback is better than San Dartle, no doubt
about that. Shanahan's a better coach for McDonald and Seattle
will they'll see that right and going out there on

(07:35):
that football film. They'll shrivel up. They'll shrivel up like
you guys do on the daily basis. Good boy, I
couldn't help myself.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
We should call this segment Grasping for Straws with Ponte
hell A man, great stuff. We got a couple of
Niner fans up here at the bar. We're at him
Shock taking a four tickets airfare and a hotel. That's amazing, man,
unbelieveab over the guys walk up here.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
By the way, they they got an NBC Sports area
for helping the brother out because uh, you know it
ties a tough down here.

Speaker 5 (08:12):
Yeah, kid man fight for expssive.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
Yeah, I got it. I got it all right, man,
We'll see you tomorrow, buddy. All right, then see it.

Speaker 5 (08:19):
I thought you did?

Speaker 4 (08:21):
You bet Banta Hill from the Game with us on
the radio show. We're at the Occidental Hall hanging out
until seven o'clock.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
God bless him.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Well.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
Larry Kruger is gonna jump on from K and B.
Are you guys know Larry, that's Banta from the Game.
Larry's from the rival station K and B R. So
we'll see if he's as full of crap as Bosting
at six pm.

Speaker 6 (08:38):
Bonta could have a two and fifteen Niner team and
he would still talk smack like they're gonna.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
Come up and win. They basically call him the Bagdad
Bob of Santa Clara. That's what he is. He's back,
Dad Banta is what he is of Santa Clara.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
We're gonna break more to come on a busy Friday
right here on ninety three three kJ A r f
