Speaker 2 (00:23):
I don't know, Maru.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Now with Petros Peers, Dave's softy Mueller los al Right,
here we go, boys and girls.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
What a treat, What a gift for the Thursday at
four o'clock crowd normally Wednesdays at four o'clock. But something
came up yesterday. I'm not sure what it was, but
something came up and Petros had.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
To move to today.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
I haven't had the honor of talking this guy for
a couple of weeks as I had last Wednesday. Off
you heard Petros and Dick together. I know Dick Field
and he's got Now he's back with us, our friend,
one half of the legendary Petros and Money Show, Father
of the Month, Husband of the Year, one of the
more on in demand excuse me radio hosts in America,

(01:08):
Greek American All Star and a usc football legend, My
friend Petrospopodacus, brought to you by Oh.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Sweet James, the dense Beard of Justice, A guy that
can come through for you. If you've ever been in
a car accident or motorcycle accident, if you've been bitten
by a dog, Sweet James knows how to do it.
Give him a call at eight hundred and nine million.
That's eight hundred and nine zero zero zero zero zero zero,
or Sweet James, yeah dot com, Hello Softie.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
So where were you yesterday?

Speaker 4 (01:38):
There was supposed to be some kind of an audio
clip that you're going to record and send to me
that I can share with the audience, and you never did.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
That, So I'm sorry I screwed that up. But this,
this being on the phone here, is not my fault.
I don't take any blame for this situation. But sure,
because I had I constructed my entire day to be
on Live with You at four and have it worked,
and it did work, and now I'm still on the telephone,

(02:05):
so I feel like my whole day ever since I
woke up this morning, which was pointed towards the four
o'clock live spot on KJAR has been destroyed because of
a technical whim, which is truly infuriating for a person
like me who has a hard time dealing with sudden change.

(02:27):
I'm not very happy at all about it. And then
as far as yesterday goes, yeah, I'm sorry. I got
to work and I was immediately sucked into a promotional
interview I had to do with a guy that won
a shooting contest at a Clipper game for Toyota, and
then I had my boss showed up and asked me

(02:49):
to go to lunch, and I ran down to lunch
with him, and then the show started and I barely
got that done, raw dogged it by the sun the
seat of my pants, and I let down everybody. And see,
but today is not my fault. I was ready to
rock and roll right on time, and I have been thwarted.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
Well, there are people, I will tell you this right now,
uh kind of you know, downtrodden folks that don't have
much going on that look forward to you every Wednesday
at four o'clock and when it's not there, it's like
a big chunk of their soul got ripped apart.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Well, you know, I'm I'm a down trodden person, and
I also look forward to that time to connect with
the down trodden teeth. And I feel down trodden too.
If my mayor had a less developed fetus face than
Jalen Brunson, I feel a little down trodden myself. So
I can understand the situation. I could. I mean, I'm

(03:46):
also upset and I'm not a happy person either, so
we're all on the same boat. There. Did you say,
be freaking made.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
Less developed fetus? I mean, what did you say?

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Well, doesn't he kind of have a fetus face? Jalen
br s and the mayor the girl she looks underdeveloped?
Who else was underdeveloped? Don't you remember two thousand and
one with the fetus face? Yes? The movie?

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Yes, yes, dude?

Speaker 2 (04:17):
She who else has a bit of a you know
who else has a bit of a fetus face? Who's that? Uh?
Devin Booker?

Speaker 4 (04:27):
She looks like she walked into one of those funhouses
with all the different mirrors.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Okay, face, because your head's all big, but your face
is kind of small, like a fetus.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
I get it. Oh God, you.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Remember, like back when Eminem was a good rapper, like
right when he started, Yeah, he had he had a
line that said, the night is but a fetus with
no hands or feet to complete us.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
Oh God, from now when, I just can't unsee that
every time I see her face, Like, let's see that, dude, Well,
petross with us. Did you watch the fans last night
run out and take or the guy ran out and
took a selfie with whom Minyama in the fourth quarter?

Speaker 3 (05:11):
Did you see that?

Speaker 2 (05:12):
I'm aware, I'm aware of the story.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Yeah, it's funny.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
I mean somebody, Yeah, people dare these people to do
things and then they do them and then they get
a lifetime ban and whatever, and then who really cares,
Like it's a it's a weird moment, and that's fine.
You know, I didn't Jalen Brunson get butt hurt at
the end of the game about a vulgar some kind
of vulgar gesture towards him about flopping from a couple fans, right,

(05:40):
And you know I saw that story while I was
watching Stars Encore. Okay, you know the movie channel and
the Old Running Man was on nineteen eighty seven.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
The original one, right, Yeah, and I.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Think Maria Kenchita Alonso and in that in that show,
you know that movie. You know the contestants, you know,
the the athletes, you know they're being treated terribly. I mean,
the guy has burned to death, the guy is a
you know, cut with a chainsaw, the electric ship. You know,

(06:16):
terrible things happen. I think Jesse Ventura is killed. I
mean here, it's bad, and I'm just thinking, like, Wow,
today's NBA is so weirdly soft, Like imagine that those
guys were in the running.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Man is that Richard? Is that what Richard Dawson is that?

Speaker 4 (06:34):
Right?

Speaker 3 (06:35):
Is he in that? Who's the he was awesome the
game the game show host? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (06:40):
I don't know, man, I just I'm thinking about Jalen
Brunson now that you brought that up. And the guy
plays in New York City, I guarantee you he's heard
some terrible things from his own fan base. And now
this guy throws a fit after they win in game one.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Come on, man, I don't know, like I don't I
don't get it, like I don't know. I don't know
what York is like. I haven't been into Madison Square
Garden in my life. The last time I was in
New York City, Carson Palmer won the Heisman Trophy, wasn't yeah,
two thousand and two, So it's been a while. And
I mean that was one year after nine to eleven,

(07:16):
for God's sake. So I don't know. I just know
that there. I think I've said this on your show.
They're going to be as annoying, if not more annoying
than the bust A Red Sox people when they won
and everybody regretted rooting for their streak to end, and
the Cubs people when they won and everybody rooted for
their streak to end, and then after the streak ended

(07:38):
and they had their celebrations and ESPN had their way
with everybody for twenty four hours a day for a
couple of weeks, then you regretted rooting for them in
the first place. And I think that I predict that
that exact same thing is going to play itself out
here if the Spurs can't get it together.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
Well, first of all, you're exactly right. We played this
clip in fun with audio segment.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Do I sound all right?

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (08:02):
Sound okay?

Speaker 4 (08:03):
No, your son worse than you normally do. To be
honest with you, if I'm being.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Well, you know, I'm very upset about that. I can't
tell you.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
I can lie to you my whole day. Well, you're
a man of high standards. That's why we do conrects.
I don't know what's going on. Blame the engineers here,
we're doing World Cup games, all.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
Kinds of I don't want to blame.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
I don't want to blame Jackson. We're trying to do it.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
I'm not saying Jackson, I said.

Speaker 4 (08:30):
And he's not an engineer.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
He's a producer.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
He's a production engineer.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
No, no, he's a producer. He's a board operator. He's
an on air host, pregame, halftime, postgame.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
This is way above his head. He's got no idea that.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
It hurts us.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Yeah, it really hurts us. But I told him.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
We played a clip last segment of a New York
media guy interviewing some Nick fans. Have you heard this
clip from outside Madison Square Garden last night with us
Alex Monaco, guy of the SG Network.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
I gotta play this for you.

Speaker 4 (09:02):
You think Nick fans are annoying, now wait until they
win the freaking title. Check this out, y'all, y'all, George,
then just watch it next for the finals.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
How you fling?

Speaker 2 (09:15):
I can't wait for the city, can't wait.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
If you heard that clip, you would have thought they
won the title. That's game one, that's one win. Can
you imagine if these knucklehands win the championship? And then
you're exactly right. ESPN is gonna be all over them
for months.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
Stephen A.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
Smith, you think he's insufferable now on crap, wait until
they nixt win the title.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
Petros, Yeah, and every single uh big Nature Media corporation
is based and has a big base in New York.
That's right, Like it's gonna be insufferable. And you Nick fans,
to me, they all and they're all like the same
as the Yankee fans and those people all show up
at Dodger Stadium, and the Mets fans are exactly the same

(10:08):
to me. I mean, I'm sure there's nuances on the
East Coast between the Knicks and the Jets and the
Mets and the Giants and all that crap, But out
here they all just seem like mailbox heads to me,
just people with big stupid mailbox heads. And the flag
is up now because they're so excited, and you know,
I mean, remember how excited they got in the World
Series against the Dodgers that one fat guy tried to

(10:30):
rip Mookie Bess's armball, Remember.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
I do remember that. Yeah, this is going to be
out of control.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
I'm rooting for the Spurs for a lot of reasons
and that's one of them. Well, Patrous is with us? Hey,
are people excited in LA about Miles Garrett and the
prospect of maybe him convincing Aaron Donald to come out
of retirement?

Speaker 3 (10:50):
How about that?

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Huh? Yeah, it was a big story. I mean a
national story, you know. I mean, I don't know if
there's like a RAM fan base that went wild in
town at hearing the news. Maybe a generation later that
happens and it's a different story. But it was a
huge national story and obviously something we had to cover

(11:10):
in the moment and get like an NFL expert on,
and we actually did a good job. We got Rob
Havenstein on the from the Rams who just retired, and
he was a guy who's tried to block Miles Garrett
in the past, so he was able to give us
that sort of perspective on how good this guy really is.
And apparently, like you know, without Deacon Jones being alive,

(11:32):
and Reggie White never said those things that people thought
were racist back then, and now it just would be funny.
Then maybe he maybe Miles Scarett wouldn't be the best.
Remember Reggie White said Koreans could turn a calculator into
a car.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
Yeah it was Wisconsin. Stumbly, Tracy Morgan did.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
A big.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
Latinos could could fit forty people in an apartment. Whites
are good at business and are good at spirituality and musics.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
Did you ever heard did you hear? Did you hear
what he did? No, dude, you got to find it.
It is so freaking funny. It's hilarious. Do yourself a
favor and search Tracy Morgan doing his Reggie White bit
on sn L. It's like twenty years ago whatever, if
not longer, and it's freaking awesome.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
It is so damn funny.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
God rest the soul of the reverend, of course, Reggie White.
But I guess Miles Garrett in modern times is the
greatest pass rusher in history. So, I mean, if that's
the case, and the Rams, I mean that's what they say, right,
And if the Rams are are that close, is this
the guy that puts them over the top? Of maybe

(12:53):
it does. I mean, it's a great celebration to have
in the summer, but in this case, the Rams are
pretty good at delivering results all season long, so it's
a big move by and I guess it's interesting. We
had one NFL expert on who talked about how there
never used to be blockbuster trades in the NFL and

(13:14):
how he was from Minnesota and there was that herschel
Walker trade and then nothing happened for you know, like
thirty years, and now we have, you know, big trades,
you know. I mean that receiver got traded a AJ
Brown on the same day and it was like an afterthought.
That would be big news, right four hour NFL news
if it happened on a different day. So yeah, people
were excited, but I don't think the excitement in town

(13:37):
really matched the national NFL Keete Schrager has a giant
face on TV excitement.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
Well, nothing in La matches anything for excitement because nobody cares.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
No. Well people, did we have angry Mexican fans here?
I mean, did you see the friendly at the Rose
Bowl between Mexico and Australia. No, I mean there were fights,
they were like crazy fights. It was like riot level
fighting roost at the friendly. And we got the World
Cup starting here in a week. So, but that Mexico's

(14:12):
not here, Us is here, Paraguay is here, the Swiss
or here, one of your favorite countries is in the house.
And you know, Iran is like little Los Angeles. They
called Tejon Angelus because of all the Iranians that we've
had for you know, ever since the bullets took over.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
I didn't know.

Speaker 4 (14:35):
Hey, by the way, how excited are you for Russell
Wilson's retirement to join CBS?

Speaker 2 (14:43):
I don't know. Was that big news in Seattle? Did
anybody care?

Speaker 3 (14:47):
We talked about it.

Speaker 4 (14:48):
We heard the video that he made, his cheesy video
that he had professionally produced, right.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Yeah, I mean you know, I mean I told you
this guy was a cheeseball idiot and when he was
still your quarterback.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
Okay, why why why why why the idiot?

Speaker 2 (15:06):
Part? Though?

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Cheese ball's fair? But why what why the idiot?

Speaker 2 (15:10):
Well, you're an idiot because he doesn't he's just toned
that he doesn't understand how how how he comes off.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
To my happy past.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
Exactly. Uh, but I told you this a long time ago,
and because he was your quarterback. You were like, oh,
that's not true.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
How Jackson, can you jump on?

Speaker 2 (15:33):
That's how you want it?

Speaker 3 (15:36):
Full of cracks, You're full of it. Wait till Dick
gets back.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Right, that's how you said. I said, I said this
guy that cheese ball, This guy sucks, and you'd be like, oh,
that's how it was.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
Shut up, you shut your mouth.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Jackson must be playing a replay. He must be playing
a replay. He's I'm mad. He's a good sound guy.
Uh that was you. And now you're like, oh look it.
Now you're like, look at Russell Wilson. He's all fat
and he sucks and only the Jets want him, and
blah blah blah. I remember when you used to worship
at that guy's altar. I remember.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
None of that is true, but that's fine.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
I'll never forget the way he used to wash that
guy up. And that guy's a.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
Dork weekend shielding your hair.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
Hey, I don't want I don't want. I don't want
Ciara's music being playing in the stretch lines from Russell Wilson.

Speaker 3 (16:43):
All right, man, you gotta go.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
Hey fix, I'm sorry, I I I typed. I was
so proud of myself for typing in the address and
having it work. You can't imagine the blow it was
to me.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
I get it.

Speaker 4 (16:56):
Well, there's somebody's gonna pay like hell back here I
can tell me you that.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
All right, No, you guys don't care. You guys are
just gonna get on to the next thing and take
some calls about the Founders. Hes gonna be like God,
that Tetris is an idiot.

Speaker 4 (17:11):
Gosh, he's gonna bite their chanitals off and spin them
into the Willamette.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
All right, man, we gotta go. I'll see you later.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
Why what do you have to do.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
Uh, we gotta take a commercial break number one?

Speaker 2 (17:27):
Yeah, you got nothing.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
We don't have anything. You're right, we got nothing. I
got nothing. We're gonna play fart noises between now and
five when the hockey game comes on.

Speaker 4 (17:43):
That's all we got playing. We got nothing. All right,
Petrush here the man trying stuff and we're talking to
week Pal. I love you all by Petros Papadaka is
with us.

Speaker 3 (17:55):
All right.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
