It's NFL Draft Day! Ian is live from the Virginia Mason Athletic Center and it's a different feeling this year coming off the Super Bowl. We are all but certain the Seahawks won't take a pick at 32.  Greg Cosell, NFL Films takes us through the offensive lineman we'll see over the next three days of the Draft. Who could the Seahawks be coveting and within those, who is in reach? We take a look at a broad view of the Draft as well.  Ian learns some new things about Jess, and they talk about the expectations they have in round one today.  Ian is quite happy with the new clock on the picks in the first round which will make these things move a lot faster. The Dianna Russini situation appears to keep getting worse. Mike Vrabel won't be present for the 3rd day of the draft? Ian feels bad for her but also doesn't.  Eno Sarris, The Athletic joins Ian to talk about the state of the Mariners. Offensively, we've seen on an uptick, but should we be worried about the pitching staff right now? We take a look around the league and what's happening in certain markets. They discuss the markets that could be ripe for expansion if it were to happen in MLB? Eno tells us what he's seen from the lineup so far and...oh no, we have a Softy question coming in.  Hugh Millen hops on with Ian for a preview of what he thinks is going to happen in the draft in round one. Hugh tells us what he sees in John Schneider's philosophy when it comes to the draft.  Corbin Smith, Emerald City Spectrum joins Ian live at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center as we are just three hours away from the start of the 2026 NFL Draft! Corbin gives us his definition of John Schneider's philosophy when it comes to the draft. He says it's about finding the best player available and THEN plugging the needs as the draft continues. Things have changed over the years as Schneider enters his 17th draft with the Seahawks. Ian and Corbin look at the scenarios for the Seahawks in this first round and how it may affect the next two days, as well as those on the current roster. With the lack of quarterback star-power, this looks like an interesting draft to come.  Checking in on the Texts and Talkbacks!  Crosstalk with Softy!

does Dallas four to three. Dallas leads two to one
in that series, and Edmonton gets upset at home by
Anaheim six to four. That first first round series is
tied at one game a piece.

by Frost Brude Coors Light, Cold as the Rockies, and
brought to you by Dinos Pub and Reddy Fun Sports

Speaker 2 (01:55):
All Right, welcome in. We are here at the Virginia
Mason Athletics Center, also known as SAW Headquarters, on the
shores of Lake Washington. And it is Day one of
the NFL Draft twenty twenty six. As it stands right now,
we are four hours, fifty seven minutes and eighteen seventeen
sixteen seconds and counting away from the start of the draft. Yes,

(02:17):
it starts at five pm Pacific time tonight, does the
NFL Draft, and we will be on the air obviously
here from now until whenever it's needed to go off,
and we're thinking somewhere around nine o'clock tonight, we will
say good night and get ready for Day two, which
is tomorrow. Tomorrow's draft starts a little bit earlier at four,
so five o'clock to night four o'clock tomorrow. Day two

(02:37):
are rounds two and three, and then on Saturday, we're
on the air starting at nine am here from the
Virginia Mason Athletic Center. Nine am. That's when the rounds
four through seven begin. As it stands right now, we
all know how it works for the Seahawks. We know
where they're looking at. They have just the four picks.
Sixty they have. Number one is in the thirty second
pick in the first round. Their second round pick is

(02:59):
number sixty four overall, third round pick number ninety six,
overall and sixth round pick number one eighty eight overall
in a trade from Cleveland. Yes, they did make some
moves along the way, trading Nick Harris and a twenty
twenty six seventh round pick to Cleveland for that sixth
round pick. This season, they traded their sixth round pick,

(03:20):
number number two hundred and thirteen to Jacksonville for Ray
Robertson Harris a couple of years ago, and then of
course this past season, they lost their fourth pick, fourth
round pick, and their fifth round pick to New Orleans.
That was the Rashid Shaheed trade. So that's why we
stand where we do with the four picks. John Schneider
on Monday, saying we want to move down. It's no
secret what we want to do, and that has moved

(03:41):
down in the draft without all being said. Justin, man,
how are you?

Speaker 3 (03:46):
I'm fabulous. Just you know. I always get very anticipatory
of these drafts.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
I hope I'm this is going on? Hello?

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Hello, Hey you got me?

Speaker 2 (03:56):
I do know?

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Okay? Yeah, one button must not have been pushed anyway.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Know if I was gone or not, You're still here.
You're still here. There must be a bad day for
us to have more building issues. I'm just gonna say
that right now.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
Anyway, Yes, I was just saying that I always get
really hyped up for the draft and everything, and this
year I'm kind of relaxed. You can't just go in
with like all the hype after you're the super Bowl
winning champion team, and so we.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Pretty much all that.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
No, I'm going ninety ten on whether or not they
actually pick at thirty two.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
So I'm excited.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
No ten, Yes is what it is. I assume yes, Well.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Yeah, Doug.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
But also if they actually pick at thirty two, and
I know that there's no way they're trading up into
the first round, but if they pick at thirty two,
that is a baller and that is someone we are
going to be very excited about.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
So the draft after their super Bowl win was and
it's interesting you say that, it's kind of weird to
kind of you don't really want to get off, You
don't get fired up because you're coming off super Bowl win,
thirty second pick, you know, you kind of want to
move it. And so the draft after their super Bowl win,
Paul Richardson, Justin Britt Cassius Marsh, Kevin Norwood, Kevin Pierre Lewis,

(05:13):
Jimmy Staton, Garrett Scott, Eric Pinkins, Caro Small. Out of
those players, two of them, Stayton and Garrett Scott never
played in the league. Paul Richardson had a six year career.
Justin Britt and Casius Marsh both had eight year careers.
Justin Britt was a good player for this football team.
Like he was a good football he was a good
player for this football team as well. And then the

(05:37):
guy that probably ended up having the longest, well, he
did have the longest career was Kevin Pierre Lewis, who
was a Day three pick for Seattle as well. But
it was not a spectacular draft. That next year, they
were trying to fill in some holes. They had a
great roster, and that's kind of where they are right now. Now.
The difference is there are a couple of massive glaring
needs for this football team going into the next three days,

(06:00):
and we'll get into this. Greg co Sale is going
to join us here in about ten to fifteen minutes time.
Normally Greg's on Wednesdays previewing the draft normally at one o'clock.
We have a different world we live in now, since
we're on at noon we've got you know, Sarah's coming
up talking baseball at one twenty today and then our
buddy Corbyn Smith will join us at two. So we're
getting Greg on today. We had all the crack and

(06:20):
stuff yesterday. We're gonna go through the first round with
Greg a little bit and the guys that just kind
of jump out at him, because that's what it's about today.
It's about Listen, even if you're a diehard Seahawks fan,
this isn't about you today. It's about everybody else and
just kind of sitting back and watching what happens around
the rest of the league and kind of knowing deep
down that these guys are all chasing, wait for it,
your team, which is the Super Bowl champions, right but

(06:42):
the one that jumps out at me and SOFTI in Fame.
We're talking about it the other day the Seahawks again,
I know Mike McDonald talked about this the other day.
It's five months until you play a game, but just
filling out a roster, and they've got fifteen open roster
spots right now before they get to the ninety limit

(07:02):
and training camp. They have just five cornerbacks on the
on the team right now. Witherspoon, Job Pritchett, Gen Charles,
and we'll just call him Eggy, the guy they signed recently.
We will asked lastco Sell about Eggy.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
He's pretty on top of it.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
Yeah, so we'll talk to him about that coming up
at twelve twenty. But just five corners. They are definitely
going to add to that room. The room that's interesting
and wondering about what they would really help, how much
of a priority it would be. They have seven safeties,
even Worry Love, Tayokatta, de Anthony Bell, Rodney Thomas, A J. Finley,

(07:39):
who I'm told they really like, was hurt last season,
didn't play good size six two, two hundred and five pounds,
and then Mason Hook. So they have a bunch of
bodies in that safety room. And again even Warri is
a little bit different because he's more of a hybrid
big nickel guy. But they could go into a season
and feel okay with Okata, Julian Love, de Anthony Bell,

(08:02):
AJ Finley, they could do that. Their defensive end slash
defensive tackles, Morris Mills, Jaren Reed, Byron Murphy, Leonard Williams,
Brendan Peelee, Like they're fine there they've got eight of
those guys total. That's not a position of need. They're
edge rushers, and they split things up. As far as linebackers,
they have fourteen linebackers. Listen on the roster. Fourteen now

(08:25):
they split it up. Six of those guys are inside linebackers.
Eight of those guys would be edge rushers, guys like
Derek Hall, DeMarcus Lawrence, Chennan, Nuosu and stuff like that.
Then of course you get your inside guys and Jones
and Thomas. They've got depth there with ty Reese Knight,
Patrick O'Connell, Conor O'Toole. They've got depth. They're find an
inside linebacker. They'd like an edge player. Not a huge
pressing need right now compared now they've got aging guys

(08:47):
and boy and Mafi is not here anymore. But that's
not the need. They're gonna They're fine at center right now,
more than likely with Ola Timmy backing up. Jalen Sindel guards.
We'll get to that in a second. Six tackles on
the roster. They're good there. Three quarterbacks. This is if
we always asked ourselves, is this the year John Schneider
picks a quarterback? The answer is no. The answer, Lock

(09:11):
Milroe and Darnell Launder contract. They've got four tight ends
and they're not Listen, we know who the four tight
ends are. Elijah Royal, Eric Salbert, A J. Barner, Nick Calrup.
Those guys are almost all four roster locks. Wide receivers.
They've got ten. Six of those guys are locks. Like
six of those guys, like there's something could happen in

(09:34):
injury and so forth, but they've got six wide receivers
you can say are locks right now. So where are
you looking to draft over the next three days? Cornerback
number one, offensive guard probably in that mix as well.
You have four of those guys your starters, Bradford, Disabel,
backups Haynes and Cable. Do you're going to add to
that room, whether it's in the draft, undrafted, free agent,

(09:55):
whatever it is, you're going to add to that room
as well. And then obviously we talked about the cornerback
because too so if you're just kind of looking at
in the running back position is a given, I don't
think we need to keep talking about that. McIntosh, Sharboney, Wilson, Akers, Right, Halani,
those are your guys right now. You're gonna add to
that room too, So that kind of gives you a
little feel for what they're gonna probably do in terms

(10:15):
of the draft. Just looking at how their roster is
constructed right now. Undrafted free agents are a big thing
for this organization. They always have been, always will be.
They had thirty two undrafted rookie free agents that made
sales week when roster since John Schneider took over in
twenty ten thirty two, they will find guys that make
this roster hell. One of those guys in terms of

(10:36):
an undrafted free agent along the way is their starting center,
Jalen Sundel, So they'll find guys in that regard to
late on Saturday afternoon when Andrews and Chris Kid are
wrapping things up, so we'll get to all that. We
got a lot. We'll go through some of the more
the draft notes and things you need to know about
what John Schneider has done over the years. We'll do
that coming up at one o'clock today, four nine four
to five one, That is four nine four five one,

(10:59):
the Tacoma Dodge text line, four nine four five one.
Your thoughts, your comments, your questions, your concerns. We'll get
to all those coming up. We'll talk to co Sell
in a second, and then again Ino's talking some baseball
with us at one twenty today go through some of
the draft news and notes that you need to know
little changes this year by the way to the draft.
If you're watching it home tonight or hopefully you're listening
to us, well again, we'll be on the air if

(11:20):
you're driving around out and about. If you're actually Ryan,
you got softball practice with Little Palmer, you got that
world going on, which I know a lot of you guys.
Do make sure you got us tuned in here on
the iHeartRadio app all day long, all night long, all
the way till nine pm. We'll sign off basically after
we hear from Schneider and McDonald later on today. They'll
speak after the first round and then we'll probably say

(11:42):
goodbye and get ready for tomorrow on Day two. And
then of course we'll be back with you tomorrow all day,
all night, same thing on Saturday Saturday, starting at nine
am until sometime late in the afternoon. So we've got
you covered for the NFL Draft. It's like the second season,
it's like a game upon itself. So we've got all
that coming up today. Obviously, we'll take your talkbacks as well.

(12:03):
Go to the iHeartRadio app the red microphone here your thoughts, comments, questions,
and concerns. My question to you is this, would you
be disappointed if the Seahawks didn't trade number thirty two
and end up with just the four draft picks? Would
you be disappointed? I would be, but I'll tell you
why later on. But I would be. I would say yes,

(12:25):
I would be disappointed because I'm not gonna buy I
won't buy the fact that, hey, we took a guy
at thirty two and we'd love this guy and we
couldn't pass on him. I'm not buying that. I am
not buying that at all. I'd be disappointed if they
don't move that thirty second pick. Now again, it takes
two to tangle. You gotta find a dance partner along
the way. You're not just gonna give it away, But
I want your thoughts on that four nine, four to

(12:46):
five one, or also on the talk back line. Would
you be disappointed if they didn't trade thirty two and
on top of that, only end up with say, four
draft picks. When it's all said and done, we'll talk
about all that. How about our guy Greg Cosel. He's
got a few things to say about the draft. Here,
will join us next night three point three kter FM.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
It's time to visit with one of our favorites, Greg
Cosell from NFL Films, brought to you by Occidental Hall.
Make Occidental Hall your first stop and your last stop.
It's your Mariners pre and post game headquarters. Game Day
starts at the Hall, and after every home games, celebrate
with five dollars smash Burgers plus Happy Hour Monday through

(13:25):
Friday from four to six Occidental Hall. This is how
you do game day, and this is how we indues
the NFL with Greg Cosel.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
All right, here we go. It is time for our
final pre draft visit with Greg Cosell. Well, we're gonna
make him come on one more time next week and
wrap up the draft after it's all said, especially from
a Seahawk perspective. And of course we know right now Greg,
the Seahawks have just four picks. We also know John
Schneider on Monday said, yes, we're gonna We're gonna make

(13:57):
a move. We're gonna do something we want. There's no
secret we want to move down which I love his
honesty in that regard in this the season of lying
for everybody around the league. But Greg Cosaille, brought to
you by the Hall Group. Don't forget Occidental Hall before
and after every baseball game at two Mobile Park five dollars,
smash burgers postgame, and of course great spot before anything
happening at Climate Pledgerina is the Queen Ann Beer Hall.

(14:18):
I fere on the east side Moss Bay Hall as well,
food made from scratch, absolutely the best smash burgers in
the area, and a great selection of beverages as well,
including a great craft beer selection featuring many of the
local breweries. Way we go, all right, Greg, By the way,
I'm at the Virginia Mason Athletics Center today. We start
our coverage here just about twenty minutes ago from the

(14:39):
Virginia Mason Athletics Center. We'll be on the air from
here at Seahawk Headquarters until nine pm or so Pacific
time tonight. Greg Cosell will be long asleep by the
time we go off the air tonight, because that would
be midnight year time. Greg, that'd be closer to you
getting up than going to bed. I think at that point.

Speaker 5 (14:58):
Yeah, yeah, No, I'm I'm an early morning gym person.
You know, I've got to keep my girls figure and
so I got to get to the gym early, and
so I'm usually there when it opens at five am.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
I give you credit for that. I'll be honest with you.
I'm an early morning gym person as well, but not
five am. I made just because of the new show
hours and stuff. I decided, let's check after workout the
other day. I didn't like it, Greg, You know why
I go after work and everyone there is younger than
me and better shape than me at least if I
go in the morning is people that are retired and
I feel young. That's what I figured out.

Speaker 5 (15:32):
So you get into a groove. I was never an
you know, going even back to my college days when
I played basketball, if we had early morning practices, my body,
even when I was twenty, just wasn't very good at that.
But as I've gotten older, you just you know, you
get into a groovy and you just do it. I mean,
I'm just used to doing it now for you, and
I can't miss. I can't miss. I have to do it.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
I love it. Yeah, if I don't get there at
least three or four days a week. I feel guilty
and I don't like that feeling. So away we go.
It hasn't helped me much. I still, you know, old
in fat. But whatever we're giving it to go, maybe
the heart's a little bit better for it. Okay, let's
get to it. Draft wise, we've spent a lot of
time talking about the Seahawks and what they're gonna do,
and we've gone through all the important position groups. I
did find this interesting, and I'm gonna go through some

(16:14):
of this later, Greg. The Seahawks have only five cornerbacks.
See with a cornerback on their roster right now? Uh
Iggy from from the they picked up as a free agent.
He's kind of been around everywhere. Former first round pick
by Washington. They've got him, Devin Witherspoon, They and I
appreciate Josh Job and Shamar Jean Charles, so I gotta

(16:35):
think they're gonna add to that cornerback room. At some point,
did we talk about know what? How we say his
name Iggan bin Honey? How do we I'll just call
him Iggy? Do we talk about him much yet?

Speaker 5 (16:48):
He is He's was originally I believe a first round
pick if you're not mistaken a second round pick at worst.
He's sort of evolved as his has taken shape into
more of a slot corner than an outside corner. And obviously,
you know with the way the Seahawks play, he'd be

(17:09):
an outside corner if you got an opportunity to play,
because they are a big nickel defense with him in
Warri and then when they play dime they bring Witherspoon
inside along with him in Warri, so Igbinhiggen, he would
not be a slot for the Seahawks. He'd have to
go back outside, which he does have NFL experience. Now,
again we're at the stage because you know we're talking

(17:31):
here on April twenty third, the day of the draft,
and many many things can happen with a lot of
different teams. You know, you don't even know if he's
going to make the team. You have no idea right now,
right so, but you would assume based on the fact
that they only have five as you said that you
know a corner will be added either through the draft
or through the off season. So you know that's a

(17:53):
position to keep an eye on for the Seahawks.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Yeah, we'll keep an eye on that one for sure,
and that'll probably be a Day two pick if it
gets that point. We haven't spent a lot of time
talking about the rest of the first round, and I
know there's great interest by NFL fans all around it.
They'll be tuning in tonight five pm Pacific, So let's
kind of do that a little bit, and I listen.
I know you're big into mock drafts. Although I googled
it and ai it and I could not find the

(18:17):
Great Coast Seal. Jess if you found the Great Coast
Selle mock draft yet.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
You know what, it fails it. Yeah, it has escaped me.

Speaker 5 (18:23):
No, God, you know, I was working with the waitress
of my diner to work on the mock draft because
that probably has as much value as all the other
mock drafts that are out there. So I just didn't
get to it in time.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
Let me ask you this, because it's not based on teams.
I think the hardest thing is is because teams are
going to trade, so there are certain places you can
slot guys in and everything like that. Fernando Mendoza is
the presumed number one overall pick going to the Raiders.
The quarterback for Indiana and we've talked about him a
little bit. Who do you think greg Is could be
the most impactful player in this draft of the top guys,

(18:57):
is at Reese the edge rusher from Ohio State, or
Styles the linebacker from hell Ohio States half their team? Yeah?
Who really jumped out at you when you're looking at Teape.
That's gonna be a first.

Speaker 5 (19:07):
One thing I've done the last couple of days because
I've probably watched about two hundred and twenty guys in
detail the way I want to watch them, and at
this point it's hard for me to, you know, do
someone brand new. Obviously, I'll do some of that after
the draft, for you know, for instance, of Seattle draft
someone that I haven't seen, then I'll go study that
player in detail. But so at this point, what I'm

(19:28):
doing is I'm rewatching some guys just that I watched
early in the process, just to kind of get, you know,
another feel for them. And I actually today rewatched a
couple of Ohio State games and obviously they've got a
lot of defenders. And I tell you, I'm I was
even more impressed with Rvel Reese now rewatching him than

(19:48):
I was when I watched him. This probably was before
the scouting combined when I watched him for the first time,
and at that point I watched four or five games,
and today I watched three games. So arvel Re to
me is really a fascinating prospect, and I don't know
if that's who the Jets would take. Obviously Aaron Glenn's
not going to give me a shout, but if I

(20:09):
were the Jets, to me, Rvel Reeves is a player
that could be really impactful in so many different ways
as he continues to mature and develop.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
What is it that jumps off the film at you
with Rvel rees.

Speaker 5 (20:23):
The physical case, he's explosive in two ways. He's physically
explosive and he's athletically explosive. Those are two different kinds
of explosive traits. And that's what really stood out to
me rewatching him today, just that he is so he's powerful,
and not just as a pass rusher. I mean he
he has shortstroke power to eat up offensive linemen in

(20:46):
the run game, tight ends he eats up. And then
the athletic explosiven is just the way he can move.
So those two kinds of explosive traits he really has
and Like I said, he's years old, and from everything
I've heard, he's a good young man, you know, does
things the right way. So you'd have to assume they'll

(21:07):
be continued development with coaching and just normal maturity as
you as you grow.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
Well, we're not doing a show in Columbus since now
you're Cleveland, but I want to stick with the Ohio
state theme here because if you're watching their tape, then
some other guys are going to jump out. Let's talk
about Sunny Styles. He's the linebacker and maybe many people
think maybe the top linebacker in the draft. What do
you see from Sunny Styles?

Speaker 5 (21:28):
You know another guy that in rewatching it jumped out again.
I mean you lose track and you lose sight of
the fact he and that he's sixty five, two hundred
and forty five pounds when you watch him, and you
know what really stood out both with Styles and with
rvel Reeves. And I know this comes from Matt Patricia,
who is the decoordinator there, and I'm sure NFL fans

(21:48):
in Seattle know that he was Bill Belichick's de coordinator
for years in New England, a head coach with a lion,
so he has a ton of NFL experience, and you
can see it the way he coaches these guys, because
what stood out was the way they played underneath zone coverage.
They understood route concepts, they understood how to hunt up receivers.
You know a lot of guys just dropped to a

(22:09):
spot with no idea about routes. They just stand there
and then the ball's thrown and then they react. You know,
these guys just had a great feel including styles. And
he is so long, and I'm not going to sit
here and say he's Fred Warner. Obviously, you know he's
a great athlete and he's long like Fred Warner, but
Fred Warner is a Hall of Famer, the best linebacker

(22:30):
in the game. So I'm not going to sit here
and compare styles to him. But styles, you just you
lose sight of that size and length when you watch
him because he's such an easy mover, but he eats
up so much ground.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Another guy's gonna be a first round pick. And it's funny,
we talked to all year long. This guy was talked
about is maybe a potential top you know, one, two
or three pick, and again, you know who knows what
that means. But his name was out there all the time.
Caleb Downs is a safety from Ohio State, and you know,
he'll probably still be a top ten pick, we think.
But the more you watch with Oio State, what do

(23:03):
you see with Caleb Downs? Both good end Maybe that
would cause concern for a team to take it real high.

Speaker 5 (23:09):
Yeah, Caleb Downs is a fascinating player. I think you
see the incredible savvy and awareness and smarts when you
watch him. And that's why you have to watch every
play because there's a lot of times where he doesn't
have anything to do with the play and you just go, Wow,
that's really smart football. I love the way he recognized
that route concept. I love the way he just saw

(23:29):
a run play right away and an attack that even
if he did not make the tackle. He's very multi
dimensional and multi positional in the way in which he
can be deployed within the context of a defense. I'd
say he's a good athlete, but a not a superior athlete,
not a not an explosive, dominant athlete, but a very
good athlete. You know, he kind of reminded me of

(23:53):
two NFL players that came to my mind when I
watched him, And so people understand I don't spend time
thinking about that play either make me think of someone
or they don't. And I'm talking about stylistically, not in
exact comparison. And those two players are Buddha Baker, who
you're familiar with in your conference and division, and Antoine
Winfield with the Bucks, you know, and I think, I

(24:15):
think Downs is going to be a very very good player.
And I'm curious to see whoever drafts him how they
deploy him because he was used in so many different
ways in Ohio States defense. And you always wonder can
a guy step in and do that in the NFL
or does he have to sort of learn how to
play in one spot first, and that that becomes a

(24:36):
function of coaching.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
Gret cozale Joinia's curtsy the Hall group. All right, it's
interesting depending on where you look, but I'm just going
to use this for general purposes. Here Ohio State with
Reese probably the number one edge rusher, the number one
linebacker with Sunny Styles, the number one safety with Caleb Downs,
and many people believe the number one wide receiver is
coming out of Ohio State as well, and that's Carnell Tate.

(25:00):
And that's this just becomes a theme. Right, every year
Ohio State has the number one receiver in the country,
it feels like they're soon to have another one in
next year.

Speaker 5 (25:08):
So they will next year, they will next year.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
What Carnel Tate?

Speaker 6 (25:13):
You know?

Speaker 2 (25:13):
And you said, sometimes it reminds you of certain people,
like certain styles and so forth. There's been some great
receivers coming out of Ohio State. We know one of them.
He's in the building that I'm actually he's in the
meeting upstairs as we speak in Jackson Smith and Jigba.
But tell us about Carnell Tate. We see from him.

Speaker 5 (25:28):
Yeahate Tate fascinated me because Tate was a vertical receiver
this particular year at Ohio State. He was not the
year before, but this year he was. And he's not
a burner in terms of pure speed, but he understands
how to run routes. He understands how to attack corners.
So he beat them over the top at the college

(25:50):
level because he's understood how to beat them, not simply
because he ran by them. And I'm very curious when
I see that, and that's a great thing. Obviously that's
not a negative by any stretch, but I'm curious to
see if he can be a vertical threat in the NFL.
Don't forget he's big and that stride length matters. I
learned that years ago with receivers. I made too many

(26:11):
mistakes with receivers early on when I started out ian
because I never really took into account stride length, which
is a trait. So he's certainly because he's over six two,
so he's got long strides and he can stretch them out,
but he's not necessarily a truly explosive burner. So I'm
very curious to see if that translates to the league.

(26:31):
If it does, he's going to be a very good receiver,
and you know, to put it in a category that's
what we do, I guess with receivers, then he could
emerge as a true number one. If he can't quite
be the same vertical dimension, then he's a really solid
NFL receiver who then becomes much more a function of
team and scheme.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
We didn't talk a lot about offensive linemen and maybe
at all going into this draft. And you know, I mean,
Seattle may or may not need or work guard. It
depends on who you talk about, you know, I mean,
there's and guards don't necessarily always go high on less
or maybe name Steve Hutchinson or something along those lines.
But let's just talk a little offensive line as a whole.
Used to be not so much at guard. But if

(27:13):
there was a top tackle, that tackle would go very
early in the draft. It sounds like the top tackle
maybe by many people's opinion. I don't know about yours.
Spencer Fano from Utah, he could be the number one guy.
There's Cayden Proctor from Alabama. There's some other guys mixed
in there. Let's just talk about that class. Is the
tackle class? Just okay, why are we not talking about
tackles going one or two?

Speaker 5 (27:35):
Well, you know what's really interesting, Spencer Fano is a
fascinating player. He's I think he's a really good technician.
I think he's a plus athlete. He does not have
the arm length you want. I believe it's under thirty
three inches. And you know, one thing to keep in mind.
A lot of people, you know, think arm length doesn't matter.
But there's a reason only five offensive tackles in the
National Football League out of the sixty four starting offensive tackles,

(27:58):
have arm length less than thirty three inches. That's not
a coincidence. So Fanos is less than that. And I
liked his tape a lot. But I came away watching
his tape and I think about, you know, I think
about these things probably way too much. I think about
the gon'll fall into sleep, and I know that's a
big problem. But the point is is I spoke to
an offensive line coach that's been in the league for

(28:19):
years and years, and I actually said to him, I said,
because he's a good friend of mine, and I said,
you know, I watched Fano and part of me thinks
he's an offensive center, that he should transition there and
that he'd be great. And this offensive line coach kind
of agreed with me. He thought he would play inside.
Now he's going to be drafted as a tackle, and
I'm sure he's going to start outside and he may

(28:40):
end up playing very well. The tackle that's probably really
interesting is now we know it from the University of Miami.
He is He is a power player. I mean, he's
a man out there. He's physical, he's powerful. He stays
in his cylinder, that's the term we use. He stays
in his cylinder. He doesn't bend forward or sideways. The

(29:02):
one thing again, you might think that is a concern.
Maybe is his range, because you have to remember one
thing ian The litmus test in this league for offensive tackles.
It's almost becoming true for interior players as well, but
certainly for offensive tackles is you must be able to
pass protect one on one on third down and in

(29:22):
pure pass situations. Because there's not an offensive coordinator in
this league that wants to keep a tight end or
a back end on third and long. They want to
send five out, and if you can't pass protect with
your tackles, you are forced to keep someone in and
that really limits your pass game options.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
Let me ask you about a guy that I just
I watched a lot. We've got My family has Alabama ties,
my wife's side does, and so we watched a lot
of Alabama football this year, the last few years we
just do. And Caden Proctor is the left tackle for
Alabama last game. Yeah, they use him in a lot
of situations, so you see some athleticism there, and yet

(30:00):
sometimes I watch him in one what you just said,
one on one pass blocking, and I think, is this
guy a tackle or is he a guard? He is
a massive human being. What do you see with Cayden Proctor.

Speaker 5 (30:11):
Hey, you know what I never understand, And again maybe
coaches do better than I, But what I never understand
is why a guy can do it so well a
good part of the time and then not so well
other parts of that. And of course the word we
use for that is inconsistency. Right, but when he does
it right, I mean, for instance, I watched the Tennessee game,

(30:32):
and I don't think he had a bad snap. When
he does it right, man, he looks like he could
be an All Pro left tackle because he has light
feet for a big man. I mean, he's not a
plotting player. So when he passed, protects properly. He has
knee bend, he has movement, he looks fluid, he looks smooth,
he uses his hands well. I mean, like I said,

(30:52):
the Tennessee game, I came away thinking, if that's the
first game you watched of Caiden Proctor, and I've seen
probably seven games, you'd think this guy is just going
give this guy's Trent Williams, he's going to be an
all pro, you know, But he just doesn't do it
like that all the time. And I don't know why,
But your point's a good one if people and he'll
start as a tackle for sure, but if people think

(31:13):
he can't handle that, they can move him inside. And
someone a lot smarter than myself. Nick Saban, who obviously
recruited and coached him, said that he could be an
all pro guard without a problem. So uh, but he'll
definitely start at tackle when he gets into the league.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
Just sance, you have looked at all these guys. I
got one more question for It'll be later in the draft,
but is there anybody else that you see as a
guy that we haven't talked about that you think is
gonna get picked today? It doesn't matter where he's picked.
I'm not asking for your mock but a guy that maybe,
as you've gone back and watched tape, you went, wow,
I really see something there picked today.

Speaker 5 (31:49):
That's always hard for me, you know, again, because I
don't know who's gonna be And I'm not being facetious,
but I'm no good with mock drafts.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
I don't know what you know.

Speaker 5 (31:58):
I don't do those, so know how what boards look like.
I tell you a player that fascinates me that could
be picked today and could not be picked today, depending
how it goes and that's the safety from Toledo, Emanuel
McNeil Warren. I think you could almost make the argument
that he's the most physically gifted safety in the class.

(32:20):
He's six three and a half, he's two to oh one.
Now he didn't you know, he ran a four or
five two, which you know he plays fast. He's to
me again, and it's Toledo, so it's not up you know,
a power for school. So of course Quinion Mitchell came
from Toledo and he's became one of the best corners
in the league and in no time at all. So again,

(32:40):
I don't know if he'll be drafted tonight. He could
well be, you know, the assumption is that that Caleb
Downs and Dylan Thinneman, who's another really good prospect by
the way, that they will go tonight. So I don't
know if we'll get to a third safety. That will
depend on how the draft plays out. But I think
that he's a fascinating guy because of that length, the movement,

(33:01):
he's loose, he's fluid. Could you put ten pounds on
him and have him also be one of those guys
like in nick I men Warre And I'm not making
a direct comparison. I mean in terms of how he's
deployed within a defense. You know, so he he to me,
is a really interesting guy.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
Let me throw a couple names at you because we
didn't talk about guards, but any of these guys that
you want to discuss, because it could be a seahawk pick,
it could be something they look at, I would say,
and I'm gonna I hope I don't put you.

Speaker 5 (33:30):
I got one that I love that I don't know
he's on your list. Can I give you the one.

Speaker 2 (33:33):
I really like? I want it?

Speaker 5 (33:35):
Yes, Kelan Rutledge Georgia Tech. I don't know if he
was on your list. Heleen Ruttledge from Georgia Tech is
a player I saw a lot of and didn't know
that much about him prior to you know, this draft cycle.
Really really liked the player. You know, he's got a
lot of experience. I think he was somewhere else before
Georgia Tech, if memory serves me correctly. I've seen a

(33:56):
lot of guys, so I can't remember everyone's background off
the top of my head, but I think he was
somewhere else and then played at Georgia Tech. He's not
going to go in the first round, I would think
not again. Once you get to pick twenty nine, thirty
thirty one, you never know you know how that's going
to happen. But you know, to me, he's definitely a
Day two player. And normally I don't think like that

(34:16):
when I watch guys, but I think he's definitely a
Day two player, and I really like the player a lot,
and I think that, to me could be dead wrong.
I think he's one of those guys you draft him,
he'll be a ten year starter.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
Well, I love it. Did you watch it all? Jennings
Dunker from Iowa or Jalen Farmer from Kentucky or Emmanuel
Pregnant from Oregon? Those are also guards. Any of those
guys you watch that you kind.

Speaker 5 (34:37):
Of like watch? I watched them all. I watched them all.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
Who do you like?

Speaker 5 (34:41):
The Dunker kid from from Iowa played right tackle. He
will absolutely move to guard in the league, and just
like all Iowa offensive linemen. The thing you love about
those guys is they are mean, nasty, competitive, physical, everything
you want in an interior offensive lineman. He can't play tech,
but he can certainly move inside to guard.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
Who else did you mention the pregnant that manual pregnant
from Oregon.

Speaker 5 (35:08):
Yeah, yeah, well the pregnant is the guy. But the
other kid that's interesting is Jalen Farmer. To me, you
mentioned him from Kentucky. Boy, he is long, he's six',
five he's three, twelve really long. Arms he actually ran
under a five flat forty which is remarkable for his,
size not that a forty. Yards this guy plays with a,

(35:30):
physical violent attitude and. Temperament and you, know sometimes the
interior offensive lineman ian and you know, This you've been
doing this a long. Time sometimes it's not about looking,
pretty it's not a swimsuit. Competition sometimes it's just about being,
physical competitive. Tough, now granted there's always technique, involved AND
o line coaches teach that all the. Time believe, Me

(35:50):
i've been to training. Camps but sometimes you just got
a battle or you know what off and and you,
Know Jalen farmer is one of those guys that's nasty
with a temperamenting you.

Speaker 2 (36:00):
Mentioned going back to The iowa Kid, dunker see how
did Draft Mason richmond From iowa last. Year he's kind
of a swing guy guard and tackle still on the.
Roster he was a seventh round, pick a late pick last.
Year you, know they Drafted Christian haynes in the third
round in twenty twenty four out Of, connecticut and he's
just Never he's been given every opportunity to win a.
Job it never. Has so that's, why that's WHY i
do think they're gonna look look elsewhere and look for a.

(36:22):
Guard so if one of those guys gets, Picked jess
mark the tape. There if one of those guys gets
picked along the, way Because i've got, It i'll just
nailed it for. Us a lot of. THAT i think
we cover a lot of. Ground of.

Speaker 5 (36:30):
Course now, now if they don't get, Drafted i'm sure someone,
listening you, know on My twitter feed will tell Me
i'm an, idiot and it won't be the first time
he didn't believe.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
Me we're all idiots out there these.

Speaker 2 (36:39):
Days i'm gonna start forwarding you stuff from My twitter
account and you'll feel a lot better about, yourself trust.
Me all, Right.

Speaker 5 (36:47):
I've been called a lot of, things a lot of.

Speaker 3 (36:49):
Things, HEY i belong in the, kitchen so just so you, know.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
Yeah, yeah it's it's quite a. Place Uh. Greg we'll
check in with you next week and put a rap.

don't believe they're gonna pick. Today they're gonna try to

terms of the, draft and really the most intriguing THING
i just found out in a break from a mutual
friend that you may have worked at and with before
in the. Past jessaman apparently burnt her hand at a
former place of employment and blamed the faucet for it

(39:24):
by punching the. Faucet is THAT i got that?

Speaker 3 (39:26):
Accurate it was actually WHEN i was, younger so it wasn't.

Speaker 4 (39:29):

Speaker 3 (39:57):
MINDS i want you.

Speaker 2 (39:59):
To tell that one to say sometime and see how he.
REACTS i would prefer not.

Speaker 3 (40:03):
TO i think that's a bad idea for all of.

Speaker 2 (40:05):
Us, yeah why would that be.

Speaker 3 (40:08):
BECAUSE i know how he'd react.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
And, sophomoric.

Speaker 4 (40:12):
DUDE i MEAN i was sophomoric in my, comments but
it was off the air and it was just a,
joke and he would be awful and he would probably
tell it on the.

Speaker 2 (40:22):
Air that's WHY i want you to do.

Speaker 3 (40:24):
It absolutely.

kind of a Weird it's like it's One.

Speaker 3 (43:25):
See it's weird after a. Championship, Yeah AND i think it's.

Speaker 2 (43:28):
One thing if you don't have a first round pick,
already you, know like like if you already traded that
first round, pick but to have that thirty second. Pick and,
know every year we go into this thing thinking that
they're going to make a.

Speaker 3 (43:38):
Move there gonna they're gonna.

Speaker 6 (43:40):
Trade, yeah they're going.

Speaker 2 (43:40):
To make a. Trade and that's what they want to.
Do now that doesn't always work out that. Way and
and but there is movement usually in that first, round
And seattle is usually at the forefront of trying to
make something. Happen and then now we have the thing
in Which John schneider says On, monday we're basically open for.
Business we're ready to. Move there's No it's quote was
it's no secret what we want to. Do we want
to move, down and they want to accumulate more than

(44:01):
just the four picks that they. HAVE i think, specifically
if we're being, HONEST i, think really what it's what
you're looking at is he wants to he wants Some
day three. Action oh, yeah this is not a guy
that can sit around and wait for the sixth round
and sit out rounds four and five and wait until
the sixth round to make a. Pick that's just not
how he has not in any, way shape or form

(44:23):
now this guy operates at.

Speaker 4 (44:24):
All so, yeah well he's a good, BARTERER i would, Say,
YEAH i think he's a good trade.

Speaker 2 (44:31):
Person, YEAH i think that's. EXACTLY i mean you just
kind of, LOOK i mean last year with the draft last,
SEASON i mean they did some they did some work
On day, three you. KNOW i mean they did a
lot of work On day, three to be honest with,

Cable Doo Mason, Richmond Ricky, white the third of those

(44:51):

(45:13):

Cal julio And. Nayler we'll get to that with our
guy in just a couple second four nine four five
one to come down to text line four nine four
or five. One your, thoughts, comments, questions. Concerns also love
to hear your. Talkbacks will do that at to thirty two.
Day the draft will be different this, year so first

(45:35):
round will conclude On thursday by they say around seven thirty. Pm,
okay why is? That it seems like a little. Earlier
it was last year the first round three hours and thirty.
Minutes if it's seven thirty this, year that'll be two
and a half. Hours so they think it's to carve

(45:55):
an hour off of the first.

Speaker 3 (45:57):
Round it's like they wanted the pitch count or.

Speaker 2 (45:59):
Something well they. Did they took two minutes off each,
pick eight minutes in round, one seven minutes in round
two and rounds three through, six five minutes per selection
in round, seven which will happen sometime around two o'clock On,
saturday four minutes per selection when we all know, this
when you get A, saturday a just flies like we
don't even. Know the picks aren't even, announced they're just

(46:20):
they just pop up there on the, screen and.

Speaker 3 (46:21):
Yeah well go you miss some of, Them, yeah.

Speaker 2 (46:23):
Exactly, yeah we don't really worry about it in terms
of what we do on our.

Speaker 3 (46:26):
Station if well get what's going on with The.

Speaker 2 (46:28):
Seahawks, yeah and if there's a local guy, picked you,
know like a guy From washington Or wazoo or somebody of,
note then we'll let you. Know but, yeah for the most,
part we don't worry about. That but, yeah so if
you're a viewer or a listener, tonight it's gonna be way.
Better like it just. Is LIKE i saw somebody posted
something about rob AND i can. Talk, well we always
talk about. This we'll probably hit it again when we're

(46:48):
trying to kill time over the next few. Days we
in two thousand and seven WHEN i was out At
Northwest college at the old, facility and new, guy you,
know last, hired not first, fire but last, hired first
guy to get to volunteer to spend an Entire saturday
talking on the radio with basically nothing to support me
in terms of sounder. Guests AND i Met Rob rang

(47:10):
and he popped. On that was the fifteen minute first
round on That.

Speaker 4 (47:15):
Saturday oh my, God so every pick and every five
six hours.

Speaker 2 (47:20):
It was almost seven, hours oh my, gosh of the first.
Round and that was and so that was the two
thousand and seven. Drafts, YEAH i was a playoff. Team
they had picked twenty, something, right so we waited and
just it was. Awful this is so much better. Now
obviously it's made FOR tv and that's what they're. Doing
and they smartened up and they, said, okay well we
got to get out of, this saying by what time

(47:41):
the networks? Dictate that. Too is interesting because there's some
guys around the league that have complained about. It there
have been famously a bunch of people around the league
have complained about. It John schninder was asked about it
On monday and he's, like, no, man it doesn't, matter
like just doesn't, matter Like i'm good with, it he.
Said in, fact we're usually a couple of picks ahead.
Anyway so for him it doesn't. MATTER i think that
says more about your. Organization maybe if you're, new like

(48:04):
a newer, organiza like a NEWER, gm newer personnel, department
it might make a bit of a. Difference BUT i
think in this, case for him it's he's, like, whatever,
man it's, fine let's just. Go let's just do. It
you don't need that much. Time you have a. Board
and the one thing that you, know we've talked about
this a lot With Mike homgan over the, years and you,
Know schneider and And pete talked about it in the,

(48:25):
past And schneider and McDonald i'm sure will talk about
it as. Well you put you do your. Board And
mike would say this Famously homegroann would tell us this
all the, time and he'd, say, hey we have our,
board and once it's, done it's, done and you have
to trust it and you have to go with. It
so if you just go by that, theory you don't

(48:45):
need eight, minutes ten. Minutes, honestly you you, see Like
John schneider, said a couple of picks, Ahead, okay, well
if this guy goes this is who we're, picking you
know what you're gonna. Do you don't need to take.

Speaker 4 (48:55):
That to, well you do have to build in some
time for those phone calls that come in last, minute.

Speaker 2 (48:59):
Right but as he said On, monday those things are
happening well before that pick, anyway right, Right and so
like it's really IT'S i think it's just first of,
all in a day and age WHERE i don't think
always the fan has taken care of very. WELL i
think because this isn't made FOR tv. Event this is
for the. Fans. Right if you asked EVERY gm in
the league and coach and everybody, else they try to, say, yeah,

(49:19):
man we'd rather just do this and the cloak under
the cloak of, darkness and you, know once it's, done
we just post here's who we, picked, Right like that's
that's probably what they'd rather. Do but this is made
FOR tv event or made for radio event if it's
us and it works out, Well so, yeah it is a.
Lot it's gonna be a lot a lot quicker this
year than it has in the. Past so just looking,

(49:40):
back we talked about earlier in the show What schnyder may.
Do the cornerback position has to be has to be
at the top of the list of what you. Do
and you, know over the, years they have drafted sixteen
cornerbacks and eleven safeties Under schneider's, tenure twenty seven defensive backs.
Total and again some of those guys have, flipped Like
Kobe bryant was drafted as you, know the best cornerback

(50:01):
in terms of the award in the nation as a
corner and we move they moved him to safety as,
Well so you never know what that's gonna go. On
thirty one offensive lineman over the, years fourteen running. Backs
eleven running backs have been drafted in the last nine
drafts by The. Seahawks and then you're gonna say, yourself
what do they have to show for? It, well, Basically

(50:21):
Zach sharboney is really it you do? HAVE i, mean
you Got kenny, McIntosh but he was a seventh round
pick of eleven draft picks at running. Back only if
you want to Include Robbie, oots then only two are
on the roster from the last nine years out of
those eleven, Guys so they're gonna look for running back

(50:42):
and they've hit on. THEM i mean they've missed on
a few and they've hd on a. Few there's no
doubt about. THAT i, Mean Chris carson was a massive
hit in the seventh. Round you missed a little bit
With Christian michael and you probably sort OF i hate
to criticize The Rashad penny. ONE i understand where he.
WAS i UNDERSTAND i JUST i understand where he was
still AND i get. THAT i understand that he. Was it,

(51:02):
was you, know a first round pick that you probably
could have you, well you can go through the list
of guys that were available that would have been better.
PLAYERS i get. That, god when he was, healthy he was.
Spectacular like he was when he was, Healthy penny was
really really good and but he just wasn't. HEALTHY cj
Pro science was probably the one that was just never not.

(51:23):
Great yeah that never that didn't work out at. All so, yeah,
anyway that's, uh trying to predict that What John shinder
is going to do is is very very difficult along the,
way but quicker. Time so once you tune in And
softy And fame and he got things, going it'll be
it'll be going a lot quicker this, time and in
a way we go and we'll Probably i'm guessing around
seven o'clock, ish in the seven o'clock, hour we'll find

(51:46):
out What seattle's gonna. Do are they moving? Down are
they going to ccumulate more draft? Picks so, again we'll
be with you if you're out and about running. Around
you got kid stuff going, on which is what happens
this time of the. Year you got, games, practices you're,
shuttling you're the carpool. Person just make sure you got
That iHeartRadio app with you and you're taking a listen
to us as. WELL i think we will have a
video element later, today is that?

Speaker 4 (52:05):
Right, YES i will be bringing Up We're the plan
is to start that at five when the draft.

Speaker 2 (52:10):
Starts, okay all, right all, right the softy you know
he's on gonna. Beat his face is gonna be out.
There he does know about what About?

Speaker 3 (52:17):
Hugh hugh is camera? Ready come? On he's a good looking,
Dude yes he.

Speaker 2 (52:22):
Is, okay all. Right kind of wanted to Hit I'm
vaible And Diana, russini BUT i Think i'll wait on.

Speaker 3 (52:29):
That just don't do it with the Softy, okay don't
do it in cross. Talk well, now, NO i planted the.

Speaker 2 (52:36):
Seed now new pictures have, emerged.

Speaker 3 (52:40):
That is just yeaeah.

Speaker 2 (52:42):
Mess, okay just let me just say. This, yeah it
should not matter what anybody does behind closed doors in
their personal, Life, okay because is not. Illegal it shouldn't
matter until you get to positions of authority maybe or
even trust and, ethics as is the case of a. Journalist,

(53:04):
Right so, yeah they the new pictures have come out
six years ago holding, hands hugging in air at in
a bar In New. York so it's it's just it looks.
WORSE i PROBABLY i feel bad for, her BUT i
don't if that makes.

Speaker 3 (53:24):
Sense, well, yeah consequences of your. ACTIONS i don't like.

Speaker 2 (53:28):
SEEING i don't like seeing a career come to an
end or just be. Torpedoed but you brought it on
yourself and in the back of your, mind especially with
the new pictures that have come. Out first of, all
who's got it in for those? Two like is it a?
Spouse is it a jilted? Lot like what what's the

(53:50):
and why did you hold onto pictures for six? Years
and then why did you follow them somehow to this
secluded resort In, Arizona, like what's that's Too, yeah what's
the rest of the. Story BUT i don't like SEEING
i Know. DIANA i know she at least partially in some,
ways worked hard to get to where she. DID i

(54:11):
do know that she improved her skills on the mic
in front of the camera and that takes, work, man
that really, does and she grinded through. THAT i think
the problem is this is WHERE i don't SO i
feel bad for. That this is WHERE i don't feel.
Bad she took the. Shortcuts as far as, INFORMATION i
think that's pretty much well. ESTABLISHED i don't think you

(54:31):
can even argue that, anymore and that's. Unfortunate, Meanwhile vrabel
did a one of the worst news Conferences i've ever
seen the other, day and now he's going to go
to counseling on the third day of THE nfl. Draft
does that pass the sniff? Test, NO i didn't think. So,
no it. Doesn't maybe it's just. Me it doesn't pass
The stift. Test something weird going.

Speaker 4 (54:50):
On, YEAH i do wonder that was the biggest CURIOSITY i.
HAD i couldn't care much less about what they're, doing
except for the way it reflects on women in journal
and when it COMES.

Speaker 2 (55:00):
I think that's, it AND i think that's the other
part of. It it's frustrating there's people out there that
do with the.

Speaker 3 (55:04):
Rest it's a, setback it sure.

Speaker 4 (55:06):
Is AND i have a lot of friends who are
men in this business right and as a reporter sometimes
it benefits. Me if anyone assumed THAT i was doing something.

Speaker 3 (55:18):
In that, realm it would crush.

Speaker 4 (55:20):
Me and when something like that comes, out it also
it just reinvigorates that troll.

Speaker 3 (55:27):
Thing you. Know, ye people just stick you're a woman
in the, business that's what you're.

Speaker 2 (55:31):
Doing. Well it paints everybody with a broad brush, exactly
and that's, unfair and that's fully. Unfair All, right we'll
take a. Break come back four nine four five one
is it's come to dodge text line four nine four five.
One you, Know sarah's from The, Athletic All things. Baseball
what's going on their baseball? Team are they getting? Better
they're starting to improve offensively at the same time as
a pitching starting to have some. Regression we'll talk about that.

Speaker 1 (55:50):
Next it's time for our weekly visit With Enos. Seras
so The athletic the best baseball insert you'll get from
a nerd With Big league.

Speaker 6 (56:02):
Year he likes picks of, grips food and beer, well.

Speaker 1 (56:05):
Always greaming up the next Big baseball staff brought to
you By Georgetown Brewing brood With Northwest ingredients In, seattlas

(56:27):

Speaker 2 (56:31):
Ato sarahs joins us. Pick thanks for our friends At Georgetown.

know right above where my seats are that grab and

(56:54):
go At section one, forty grab of tavern beer and
go and go and joy some. Baseball big courtesy and
thanks to our friends At georgetown bringing. Hello you, know
how are you doing great. Yourself i'm all, Right i'm.
Right it's, uh IT'S Nfl draft. Days we need to
there's a good little cleansing of the palette for us
for a few. Minutes is, uh get away from the
world of mock drafts and potential trades and who's on

(57:15):
the clock and all that fun stuff and that you
only that you only get with THE nfl draft. Replicated
at times people try to replicate. It, Yes baseball does,
it because baseball does it now a little bit more, too,
right don't they do some television for the first? ROUND
i think for the baseball.

Speaker 7 (57:30):
Draft, Yeah but the big difference is that while you're
going to see those guys in the big leagues for
THE nfl pretty, quickly they're, still you, know a gestation
period for four hitters and pitchers that go in the
drafts and.

Speaker 2 (57:46):
Baseball, yeah it's it's not like they're going to be
making their appearance the very next year along the. Way,
well it's interesting because there's a similarity between that and
the hockey. Draft and for, years the last few, YEARS
i know that the former president AND gm of The
crack And hawky, Team Ron, francis he's friends With Jerry,
depoto and they would go to each other's. DRAFT i,
saw in, FACT i Saw jerry last summer at The

(58:06):
crack And draft WHEN i was out there working for,
Them and, uh BECAUSE i think they're very very. Similar
you're drafting young guys are two or three years, away
but THEY i thought it was kind of cool watching the.
Collaboration but, yeah THE nfl drafts a different, beast and
away we, go all, right lots of stuff to get.
TO i just kind of checking with my my other baseball,
friends the guys we do some stuff with her in a.

(58:26):
Week we call them The Mollywop. Boys chris And nate
and and and some. Others we were discussing in a
group chat the other day just about as The mariner,
offense some of the guys in the middle seem to
start heating. Up and we'll get To cal And julio
and AND jp And nailer in a. Second yesterday was
another interesting outing From Logan gilbert and you talk about

(58:49):
you look at these numbers and stuff plus and all those,
things AND i want to kind of go down that.
Road because he only got through four. Innings he seemed
like he got hitting around a little bit maybe gave
up some hardcom. Intact what do you see and what
are you hearing About Logan gilbert this?

Speaker 7 (59:03):
YEAR i, think you, know one thing that's, interesting like career,
wise is just the change from being a breaking ball,
guy bring a big curveball, guy to now he's a
multiple change ups. GUY i mean he's throwing the split
finger and change up like straight change. Up you, know

(59:27):
now he's thrown as a quarter of the. Time you,
know his breaking balls have changed over, time and he's
gotten them to the point where he's got two or
three decent. Ones BUT i think there's some of there's
a little bit of awkwardness in the realization that maybe he's,
not you, know a breaking ball, guy and he's not
you know who he was when he first came, up

(59:49):
and so you know WHAT i, see you, know as
he's going along like, yesterday the last game yesterday was
the the most he's thrown his his change, up you,
know the non split finger change. Up AND i think
it's a good idea going. Forward but you, know it
does mean that you have to figure out how to

(01:00:10):
fit the rest of the pitches. IN i Don't i'm
not that worried about him though, OVERALL i think that
this is he's got that monster, extension uh that always
makes his fastball play. Up his splitter is one of
the best in the, league and, uh you know when
he throws the slider, hard it's it's a it's a
it's a great option.

Speaker 2 (01:00:29):
Firm, YEAH i guess we're talking about a guy that
can be so elite that maybe we start picking apart
like ann ounting or two that aren't like, elite, Right
is that is that maybe overreact a little bit because
we expect such greatness from really from all four of
those guys and if we want to Include hancock or
When miller comes. Back but maybe that's maybe that bar
is maybe we have a bar a little bit too. Hot,
YEAH i MEAN i think.

Speaker 7 (01:00:50):
THAT i mean it's fastball location was off and for
what it's, worth you, Know, Uh and that's the that's
the one thing that that does that leaves off the,
page is, that you, know his fastball location for the
year has been average above, average and he had a
fifty nine location plus in his last one. Out so

(01:01:12):
that's just that's a bad. One that's that's AND i
think you just say that's the bad game that's. A
there might be, something you know just about this. Series
it's been a little. Weird hancock went to his four
steamer a little bit too much in his last in
his last outing. TOO i was watching, that and you,
know he gave up The homer To kurtz on the four,

(01:01:33):
steamer AND i think just generally there, was you, know
a little bout of wildness in the four seamers in
this last.

Speaker 2 (01:01:44):
Series i'm gonna get back to the miners pitching in a,
second but you just brought Up. Kurtz are the a
is going to be a problem coming up in the
next few years for the rest of The American League?

Speaker 7 (01:01:52):
West, YEAH i think that's A it's a really good line. Up,
kurts you, know unfortunately kind of came online recently and
was uh was starting to percolate during that. Series but
they've got a really interesting group of players because In
kurts And langoliers and they didn't even Have Brett rooker

(01:02:13):
for that. One but In, Langlers kurts And, rooker they've
got the traditional kind of patience and you, know, uh
maybe some whiffs and but a lot of. Power and
then then In Jacob, wilson they've, got you, know one
of the best young contact scenes and you, know so

(01:02:33):
you know that's that's that's a really nice. Grouping and
then you Know Tylers soderstrom is just a really solid
hitter that that there's a little bit of. Everything so
that's a really nice, core you, know because you're playing those.
Guys AND i Think Lawrence butler can come back. Online
he's had some knee injuries and it doesn't look good right,
now BUT i think he's going to be a good

(01:02:54):
player for them in the long. Run and that gives
them a core of guys at important, positions a lot
of them with, power, speed, defense and. Contact not all
in the same guy that would be like Show hay or,
something but they do have a really good. Core, offensively
they're gonna be a.

Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
Problem. Yeah Jacob wilson leads the MAJORS i think in
multi hit, games got twelve this, season and like you,
said mister, Contact leers has had a nice series against. C.
L kurtz is. Something and THEN i think they have
one of the best young guys that's on the up
and come in the miners right one of the better
young hitters coming. Up i'm not sure his, name BUT
i hear he's he's. Good they just need, Pitching like

(01:03:35):
it seems like if they could get, Me if they
get some, pitching that team could be really a big. Problem.

Speaker 7 (01:03:40):
YEAH i Guess Leo DeVries maybe the guy that they
got For Mason. Miller he's looking pretty good At DOUBLE
a and he's. Nineteen so, yeah the problem is, pitching
and that park is a real problem for. It you,
know there's cross winds that mess things. Up the wind
that's just just a real. Mess and then you know

(01:04:01):
it's a small, park it's a minor league. Park nobody
wants to sign. There so when they sign guys Like Luis,
averno they have to go past the. Market, yeah they
They they spent a lot On Luis, everno so you
know it's they do have problems to deal with as.

Speaker 2 (01:04:18):
WELL i do think That vegas will be a problem,
though because not for, them it'll be good for them
for the rest of the. LEAGUE i just look at
THE i, mean it's become a massive destination FOR nhl. Players,
UH nfl hasn't got there yet because the organization is a.
Joke but but the like THE nhl, TEAM i, mean
every free agent wants to go, there players want to go.
THERE i, mean and if the ballpark is really, interesting,

(01:04:39):
yeah if if, IF i, mean if the ballpark's decense
and it's the organization kind of can get it on
it's on. Track if The Golden knights or any indication
that that could be a especially without a solary, cap
that could be.

Speaker 8 (01:04:52):
A one, thing be an.

Speaker 7 (01:04:53):
Issue one THING i told about The Golden knights, though
is that like they were their, team like it was
an expansion, team right.

Speaker 2 (01:04:59):
Right, yes, yes, Yes and so they.

Speaker 7 (01:05:02):
You, know they're not you, know they're not getting a
team that existed before and coming. OVER i JUST i
just don't. KNOW i think that they're not as excited
about The raiders.

Speaker 2 (01:05:11):
Anymore, no.

Speaker 7 (01:05:14):
But The raiders have the long history of, INEPTITUDE i,
guess or at least, Recently AND i don't, Know i'm not.
Sure in terms, of you, know markets and like thinking
about an expansion, wise it's not a great market for
baseball itself because it's an older, market it's a SMALL tv.

(01:05:35):
Market you're depending a lot on, Travel like local industry
is not that, big so you're not going to sell
a lot of, suites you, know to unless it's all
gambling or travel. Stuff SO i think It's i'm really
fascinated to see how this. Goes i'm not sure it
was the best differsion WHEN i looked at expansion, places you,

(01:05:58):
know places even Like portland look, better but Like charlotte
looks the.

Speaker 2 (01:06:02):
BEST i.

Speaker 7 (01:06:02):
Thought charlotte is that's rich and up and coming and
big and a lot of and growing and. Young NASHVILLE
i thought looked better Than. Vegas so, it's, uh we'll
see what it. Goes and now now you got to
Put oakland back on the. Table it looks like that's
a decent place to expand. TOO i don't, know.

Speaker 2 (01:06:21):
Well as a guy that grew up as a fan
of The a's and stuff LIKE i did before The
mariners kind of came into. Existence Because i'm, OLD i
it makes me sick to my, stomach especially with what
we had happened The sonics. HERE i think my only
thought would be from a free agent, standpoint if you're
trying to attract free, agents that's what The Golden knights
have done, well Like, pe Like Mitch, marner like the top,
guy like they want to go To vegas as opposed

(01:06:42):
to some NOW nhl cities are far different Than Major
League baseball cities in a, sense, right because you're the. Smaller,
yeah and you're going to, like you, know it could
be bad weather and all those. Things But i'm with, you.
HONESTLY i worked In, portland you, KNOW i think that's.
It to, me that's a great Base it's the two
college baseball. Teams Oregon Oregon state draw really, well there's

(01:07:03):
it's great youth baseball. There we ALWAYS i always thought
this was. Soccer soccer. Draws the women's team sells out every.
Game THE nwsl team. Does but it's a, big big baseball.
MARKET i think they can really Thank Oregon state for.
That but it's a big baseball market that that to
me is the one that's going to get overlooked at
the exp you, Know, Nashville charlotte one hundred. Percent people

(01:07:24):
are going to look at that and in a, way you.

Speaker 7 (01:07:26):
Go but if they, fanned they're going to need A
West coast, Team so it'll Be portland or it'll Be
Salt Lake.

Speaker 2 (01:07:33):
City so, YEAH i Think i'm gonna sound like the biggest.
Vagabond i'm selling the biggest VAGABOND i ever worked In
Salt lake as, WELL i think that would be a
good market to stop it.

Speaker 7 (01:07:44):
Now now everywhere is a good.

Speaker 2 (01:07:45):
Market, NO i think If i'm ranking, Them portland, One portland,
One nashville, Two charlotte, Three Salt lake four and, okay
and But oakland would have my heart because.

Speaker 4 (01:07:56):
He just wants to visit his old stumping. Grounds that's
why he's pumping the.

Speaker 2 (01:08:00):
Most, Listen i'm talking about beer And Georgetown brewing on the.
Radio do you really Think utah watched me? Back, like come, on,
yeah they couldn't get rid of me quick enough AND
i couldn't get out of there fast. Enough you, Know
sarah's joining, Us Luis castill's given up a very high
rate of hard. Contact is that a?

Speaker 7 (01:08:19):
CONCERN i, MEAN i would be more concerned except that
he's a notorious slow. Starter i'm telling, you guys something
you already, Know like he's, always you, know had the lower.
View and for what it's, worth he's got better vielo
This april than he's had in a couple of. Years so,
wow you, KNOW i think it's it's all. Right the
one thing that just bothers me is that his change

(01:08:42):
up is like right on THE i, mean his slider's
right on the. Precipice his change up has been taking
a step, back you, know a year over year he's
used less less, often and he's become this more forcing slider,
guy AND i love, it except that he was a
little bit more dominant when he was eighty six eighty
seven with the, slide with the, slider and as that
gets closer to eighty, four remember he had that time

(01:09:04):
when he's, Like i'm going to try throwing it slower
and it was not a good.

Speaker 2 (01:09:07):
Idea.

Speaker 7 (01:09:08):
Nope you, know SO i, think you, know there is
some shelf here where he drops below it and all
of a sudden you're, like, whoa this is not what
it used to. Be BUT i don't think he's there.
YET i mean, again his fastball vlow is up from last,
year and he should be going up from. Here he
doesn't like the, cold it doesn't SEEM i don't want

(01:09:28):
to put boards in his, mouth but you, know that's
what it looks like from his, history AND i just
think he's just a really solid guy that will maybe
struggle at, times BUT i don't see him putting together
a bad.

Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
Year you, Know sarah's joining us. Here let's talk about
some of the. Goods Cal rawley home running three straight,
games had a couple of extra base hits. Yesterday Julio
rodriguez on bass streak nineteen games and he's kind of
clicking along the last eighteen, games hitting under just under three,
hundred but he. Started he doesn't have a lot of
nothing to show in terms of home, runs but is

(01:10:02):
starting to get the ball in play a little bit.
More and And Josh neale were three for four and
had a really good home stand as, well nine to,
sixteen three multi hit games over that home. Stand so
here's the good. News it kind of feels like those
guys are starting to heat up a little, bit you.

Speaker 7 (01:10:15):
Know, yeah, yeah and you Know julio should have one
more home, Run.

Speaker 2 (01:10:23):
Yeah yes he, Should yes he.

Speaker 6 (01:10:24):
Should but LIKE i.

Speaker 7 (01:10:28):
Think it is good as we talked about how the
sort of bottom lineup is coming into, place and now
now the top of the lineup's coming. Online so you,
know if you look even at you know what they
should have what they've, done and what they should have
done when it comes to their launch angles and. Stuff
Kyle rally should have a slugging percentage that's seventy points

(01:10:49):
Higher Juliod ririguez should have a slugging percentage of sixty points.
HIGHER Jp crawford should have one that's one hundred points.
Higher you, know so there's been some bad. Luck you
could all at bad weather or you, know park factors or,
whatever BUT i think you know what you're seeing is
that the underlying work is pretty.

Speaker 2 (01:11:08):
Good all, Right i'm Gonna i've got a late question
that's come in from our afternoon Host Dave softy Maler
and and you, know this stems from a heated debate
slash conversation Between softy and one of my two, Producers,
andrews who's not in. Today andrew's mister baseball guy we
like to call, him and they were having a conversation

(01:11:30):
About Jose ferrer and his struggles against left handed hitters this.
Year i'm putting you on the. SPOT i don't know
if you have these could could help me out here or,
not But softy asking About ferrera getting beat up by
left handed hitters when that's supposed to be his. Strength
any thoughts on, that.

Speaker 7 (01:11:50):
You, Know i'm seeing a four to eighty slugging yeah
against lefties versus a three sixties slugging versus. Right he's
a sinker slider guy with a change. Up it shouldn't
be a guy that has trouble with. LEFTIES i would look,
at you, know where he's putting those sinkers against, lefties
maybe just leaving them over the. Plate if he, was you,

(01:12:16):
know a four seam, guy THEN i could, say, oh
maybe you, know would you would you look at when
you want to believe a reverse slit like this in a,
picture if you look at the. Arsenal and so if
a you, know a sinkers sinker slider guy should have normal.
Flits platoon. Splits sinkers and sliders are both better against
same handed. Guys but if he was like a foreseeing change,

(01:12:38):
guy THEN i could, say, oh maybe you know he's
he's optimized to getting. Right he's, out SO i would
say he Has if he has a thinker slider and
a change there's no reason he should have. Problems it's going,
forward all.

Speaker 2 (01:12:51):
Right. YEAH i think the quote was this guy, Sucks,
no he, doesn't back and forth they went so, well.

Speaker 7 (01:12:57):
Career it's the other way around. Here he's much better against.

Speaker 2 (01:13:01):
Lefties so it's one of. Those and he's got thirteen
games eleven innings pitched this. Season that's a fairly small
sample size this.

Speaker 7 (01:13:10):
Year right twenty batters face lefties and, righty so you,
KNOW i, SEE i don't even see a home run by.
Lefties so he's given up two doubles to get it to.
Lefties so if you give up one double the, lefty
there wouldn't be a. Difference.

Speaker 2 (01:13:23):
Wow, sorry hopefully that, answers And, softy we'll table this
for another. Week who knew you'd have to play referee?
Today how you? Know who knew you'd have to do
that a? LOT i think he'll be. Fine we'll Do
we'll do a deep dive Into jose for our next.
Week all, right Raz, brol tell folks about the great
podcast you guys.

Speaker 7 (01:13:43):
Do we had a lot of fun today With Trevor
may talking about some young guys And Jordan walker And
riley O'Brien and just we'd try to break down all the.
Guys we looked at the surprizes and the, standings The
mets at the bottom and The reds at the, top
and just talked about what we think is going. Forward

(01:14:04):
we did an interesting. One we had to choose between
the worst teams that were projected to be. Good The
astros met.

Speaker 2 (01:14:11):
Who was it?

Speaker 7 (01:14:12):
Else The phillies and The, royals and we had to
choose one going, forward AND i was. Plumboxed, MAN i
did not know where to go with that. ONE i
think given those, CHOICES i might take The astros because
you never can count them out, fully but their pitching
staff is in.

Speaker 2 (01:14:29):
Shambles aggressive front office, though, right they might go out
there and try to change, that try To, yeah and if.

Speaker 7 (01:14:36):
They can Get emi on, BOARD i, mean you, know
then then maybe things look.

Speaker 2 (01:14:40):
Better thank, you my. Friend we'll talk to you next,
week all, right thank. You. Ino sarahs joining, us precided
to see Of georgetown brewing good stuff, there and we
maybe hopefully solved her into the conversation With softy and
and and, okay there we, go all, right.

Speaker 3 (01:14:58):
Bipolar baseball fan.

Speaker 2 (01:14:59):
Hood, well, listen he he hasn't been what they wanted
him to be so. Far like that's. Good that's that's not.
Debatable but it's you, know said hasn't given up the
hard contact the lefties, Either so that's probably that's probably
how you kind of look at it and say it'll
it should even out and get better along the WAY
i was more yesterday would have been interesting if they
would have gone to extra. Innings they were down to

(01:15:20):
nobody that was available to. Pitch, yeah AND i didn't
eve get Into munos day giving up the solo home,
run albeit to a great, hitter but he gave up
another home, run a number ninth in the. League he
gets gets himself the win thankfully from hit for his.
Standpoint but uh, well we'll check back in with you
know coming up next. Week we'll do a quick daily
power play when we come.

Speaker 1 (01:15:37):
Back now back to the twenty twenty SIX Nfl, draft
presented By Frost Brude COR's Luck cold is The rookies
and brought to you By dino's pub been written On
Sports radio ninety three point THREE KJR.

Speaker 2 (01:15:54):
Fm all, right back in The Virginia Mason Athletic, center
the interness with, you And i'm sitting out. Here we're
starting to have a few folks. GATHER i, say if
you're just a couple media folks gathering and here in
the media, om we're gonna go upstairs at three o'clock
when they open up that, room which is a defensive meeting,
room is what we use for the media during the
draft for the next three. Days half since two thousand and.

(01:16:16):
Ten the first time we were, upstairs first draft year was.
Nine we were. DOWNSTAIRS i had a small, room BUT
i look out there AND i see a guy haven't
seen for a. While, hi you mood to see? You
how are?

Speaker 4 (01:16:26):
YOU i?

Speaker 2 (01:16:26):
SAY i, said, yeah come in. HERE i got an extra.
Headset what are you? Doing you're doing nothing right? Now
try to. Worry, yeah lick your wounds to. Day lick
your wounds after the mock draft. Yesterday oh, god that
that's the HARDEST i. Work you guys do. Well i'm
not trying to listit that. Up, No, No i'm telling
you do a great.

Speaker 9 (01:16:45):
Well it's, uh it's it's we've been doing it for
twenty you. Know the first year we did in ninety.

Speaker 2 (01:16:50):
Nine, NO i don't think Either dave AND i would
have ever thought we'd still be doing it this. Long
but you know, what it gets you.

Speaker 9 (01:16:57):
Prepared for, today and you, know there's there's a there's
a juice those first ten fifteen. Picks if you love, football,
yep like.

Speaker 2 (01:17:09):
It it's.

Speaker 9 (01:17:10):
Palpable it's like there's it's like, watching you, know AN
Nfc championship.

Speaker 2 (01:17:15):
Game maybe not At. Seahawks i'm not putting it at that.
Right but if you're watching THIS nfc championship game between
the forty nine ers and the and The, rams you,
know and you'd.

Speaker 6 (01:17:24):
Be you go, whoa like the first quarter there there's
a little electricity.

Speaker 2 (01:17:29):
There there's no other draft in, sports in sports that's like.
This and the biggest weird deid hit my, buddy you,
Know sarah's on from the athletic is a baseball guy
and we're just talking about. It Like Major League baseball
and THE nhl, draft kids that are seventeen to eighteen years,
old yeah they're three four years. Away LIKE, nhl you
might be one or two years, away maybe. Three and
you don't know who these guys. Are Major League, baseball

(01:17:50):
you have no. Idea like, hockey sometimes you might know
a guy if you've watched like the teams around, here
the juniors are like a big college. Program but you
got to be a hockey. Fan you gotta be hockey for,
yeah you for. That you don't know anybody in baseball,
normally and and and THE nba has changed because it
used to be you knew all all those guys that
stayed for four years and played college. Basketball now they're

(01:18:13):
either one and done or The european. Influence you're, like
who's this guy From? Spain i've never heard him THE.
Nfl we've watched these guys, play, Right, like we've watched
all these, guys the.

Speaker 9 (01:18:22):
Marriage of the second most popular sport In american.

Speaker 2 (01:18:25):
College football and the most graduated to the most, popular you,
know and together they're they're you, know they're they swing
as wide a tail as as you could possibly. Swing
and and and then there's the the REALITY.

Speaker 9 (01:18:37):
Tv show part of. It, yeah the emotions that you
can get into these, stories.

Speaker 2 (01:18:41):
You, know players that are slipping most of them, Room,
yeah most of most of.

Speaker 9 (01:18:45):
It it's as, joyous but there's gonna be a couple
of always a couple of guys that are going through
their own personal. Nightmare AND i think the league's done
a better job of trying to obscure, that invite fewer
players and invite people to the green room that are more.

Speaker 2 (01:19:00):
Of a lock to be selected. First and there's some
guys that just we're not going to be. THERE i
Think mendoz is not going to be, there. RIGHT i
think it's, Great, YEAH i.

Speaker 9 (01:19:07):
MEAN i don't think you'd think that the, Inverse, yeah they, say,
well if you think it's really great for guys to
be at home with their family and celebrating with their
high school buddies and all, that then you would say
the reciprocal to that would be that that you you
think that guys go to the draft that they should be. Home,
NO i don't think those are mutually. EXCLUSIVE i think

(01:19:30):
it's fine to be, there AND i think it's fine
whatever you want to, do, Right, Yeah, Yeah i'm going
to ask. YOU i was gonna save this for when
you AND i do radio tonight at seven. Pm, yeah
you do know, that, Right you're on with, Me SO i.

Speaker 2 (01:19:40):
DO i do know, that. RIGHT i just want to
make sure. Going, Yeah i'm sure that lots of emails a, lot,
dude there's a lot of emails come out with this
will be you AND i doing a draft together at.
Night seventeen. PROBABLY i think we started With John schneider's first.
DRAFT i think so twenty, ten his seventeenth. RAFT i
was gonna ask you. This i'll ask you again tonight other,

(01:20:00):
way But i'm gonna ask you. This if someone comes
to you and, says maybe one of your guys from
the thirty thirteen and the think tank that is the thirty,
thirteen and they, Say, hugh just give me a quick
paragraph on What John schneider his draft philosophy. Is can
you do?

Speaker 9 (01:20:17):
THAT i think that he targets people just like everybody.

Speaker 2 (01:20:24):
ELSE i don't think that that he has some magic for,
him some box that he's trying to, check, okay that
nobody else is trying to.

Speaker 9 (01:20:31):
CHECK i think it's just a little bit more important to.
Him like we buy a, house buy a, house residential,
HOUSE i, say, honey say your, wife, like there's big
check boxes that need to be, checked but then there's
little boxes that you want, checked but you don't need
to have them. Check we're not gonna be able to
check every, box, right give me the three big, boxes

(01:20:54):
and then give me the eight little, boxes and we'll
get the three that you and hope fully we'll get
four or five or six of the of the little, ones,
right but we ain't gonna get them, all, Right like
we can all identify with. THIS i think that the
boxes that are more important to him are guys that have,
have at some point in their life gener demonstrated some

(01:21:17):
scrappiness that had some adversity and showed that they had
a dog in him and and and a little piss
and vinegar and were able to fight through like like
demonstrated adversity and you, know chip on the shoulder nastiness
of how they, respond you, know like toughness is.

Speaker 2 (01:21:33):
Defined you, know it's.

Speaker 9 (01:21:34):
Not the, kid the bully on the, playground who can
who can beat somebody, up it's when life knocks you,
down you, know do you feel sorry for.

Speaker 2 (01:21:43):
Yourself or do you? Do? You you? Battle SO i
think he's looking for.

Speaker 9 (01:21:48):
BATTLERS i think he's looking for guys that love, football
right and in my experience haven't played bouncing around the.
League there's. Guys most everybody loves being a football. Player in,
FACT i could almost, SAY i don't like to use absolute,
Terms i'm gonna say nearly everybody likes being a football

(01:22:09):
player in THE. Nfl, right you, know you're you as a,
general you, rule you have the adulation of somewhat within
your family and the, community and you're making good. Money,
like there's a lot of good, reasons very self. EVIDENT
i don't need to describe why you'd want to be
AN nfl football, Player but not everybody loves. Football, Literally

(01:22:31):
i'm not talking about just like like there's some people
don't like, football but they like being a football. Player
he wants to weed. That he's going to go farther
to weed that out and find guys that love football
and and have that that chip that that you, know that,
adversity some something in their life that they had to battle.

(01:22:52):
Through and so, ANYWAY i think that's more. Important and
then and then, okay how does that? Translate how does that?
Manifest mike McDonald comes in a young head coach and
he gets one hundred percent buy in in the. Offseason,
now like that's, Crazy but if you target the right
people and they love football, enough, then.

Speaker 2 (01:23:12):
By the, way a lot was made out of. That On,
monday it was the same way last. Year. YEAH i
haven't seen these last. Year yeah, Yeah but Like monday
he brought it up and it was, Like, OH i
can't believe all these guys are. HERE i sat in
this room this right rumor in last year during AN Ota,
yeah And Jaren reid sat with me AND i, SAID

(01:23:33):
i asked him POINT blankt why are you? Here like
you don't have to be? Here he, Goes, yeah he
told ME i didn't have to be. Here i'm. Here jenna's,
hurt he's, Here we're all, Here and Like mike, McDonald
he's got those. Guys the buy in, started AND i
think after year one they got rid of guys that maybe.

Speaker 9 (01:23:50):
Weren't there's a really important dynamic THAT i think fans
you got to lock in on when you're in a
team meeting.

Speaker 2 (01:23:56):
Room the, coaches what are they gonna.

Speaker 9 (01:23:58):
Do they're gonna give all these lectures and pep talks
based on the success of the, team because what's their personal.
Success it's completely aligned with the. Team so their own
ability to feed their, family get new, contracts and what
have you is entirely dependent on. Winning, now just let's
let's use a very easy to comprehend. Scenario the punter

(01:24:23):
in the. Room he's sitting there listening to all, this,
like go, Team go, Team go.

Speaker 2 (01:24:28):
Team. Right if the punter, Goes if the punter has
the worst net in the league but the team wins
The Super, bowl he ain't coming. Back so here these
players in this bind of, like, well, YEAH i want
to win because that's HOW i played in youth and high.

Speaker 9 (01:24:48):
SCHOOL i just wanted to, win but NOW i want
to feed my. Family so you get, this, like how
do you how do you blend personal.

Speaker 2 (01:24:55):
Interest in team? INTERESTS a lot of that? Stuff all,
right here's the. Deal you get an hour, Off, yeah
and then you're gonna do six straight hours of. Radio all?
Good is that? Good? Labor and you AND i at
seven o'clock AND i can't. Wait, okay somebody there you,
go we'll see you. Soon that's you. Mail we'll take a,
break come, back tomorro nine three point three K drafting.

Speaker 1 (01:25:14):

they use it or. Not John schneider On, monday, saying you,

(01:25:42):
to move out of that. Pick we want to get
some other. Picks we'll see what.

Speaker 3 (01:25:45):
Happens pretty, transparent very.

Speaker 2 (01:25:46):
Transparent draft starts at FIVE. Pm we'll have all the
coverage for you throughout the day here at The virginia
Basedon Athletic. Center patriots head Coach Mike rabel says he
will seek counseling won't be with the team For day
three THE Nfl. Draft that just gets this the MORE
i think about. That are they telling him not to be?
There that? Suspension what are they? Doing that's just an

(01:26:07):
odd that's very. Odd, YEAH a Potential number ON o
world pick in THE Nba, DRAFT A Jada bonson announces
he is declining for THE Nba. Draft no surprise and
they're victor When minyama will travel with The spurs To
portland for the sold Out game three tomorrow at The Motus.
Center he's in concussion. Protocol what do you bet he? Plays?
Huh what do you bet he? Plays? HMMM i bet

(01:26:28):
you a lot of money he. Plays. YEAH i think
if there's one league that doesn't care at all about concussion,
PROTOCOL i think it would be at the top of
The listamy in B, A all.

Speaker 1 (01:26:39):
Right let's go here we Go it's time to take
a deep dive into all Things seahawks With Corbyn, smith
sports reporter For Emerald City. Spectrum All Seattle, sports all the,
time brought to you By Jim elliott with whin The
mare Real estate helping home buyers and home sellers In Western.
Washington whether you're buying or, selling Contact jim at TWO
o six seven six nine five four six six or

(01:27:01):
at Jim MAT's sold by gym dot. Com now With Gorban,
smith Here's.

Speaker 2 (01:27:06):
Ian just a Note, corbin as you, think thanks for joining.
Us first of, all how are, you my? Friend? Slowly
just a quick note to producer Jessm and other producers. Out,
yeah we're a little bit. Late we have a. Thing
i'll take people behind the. Curtain we have a thing
in the business called the clock that you're supposed to
take breaks at certain. Times it's THE Nfl draft, day

(01:27:27):
so just be aware that that will not be in,
play just as an f y at least for at
least for this particular. Host IT'S i think it's all
bets are. Off so we're a little bit late getting To. Corbyn,
well we appreciate you joining, us my, friend And i'm
sure you're ready to rock and Roll day one of
THE Nfl. Draft high here we go about a good
time of the.

Speaker 8 (01:27:42):
Year right it? Is, YEAH i know a lot of
fans are just gonna be, wondering like if they're going
to be a New seahawk, today Because i'm all the
talk with trading down from pick thirty.

Speaker 2 (01:27:52):
TWO i Asked hugh Mill in a minute ago a
Question i'm ask you as. Well if if someone Calls Corbyn,
Smith Emerald City Spectrum seahawk beat guy for the last
few years and, Says, CORBYN i need you to define
to me what A John schneider draft looks, like or
what his philosophy, is or what his picks look. Like
how would you define?

Speaker 8 (01:28:13):
That you, KNOW i think it's a lot. Different if
you asked me that four years, AGO i would have
had a much different answer than What i've got. NOW
i think that A John schneider draft now is all
about finding that best player available and then plugging the
knees as you go rather than the other way. Around
and the character element is the one thing that has

(01:28:36):
carried over AND i think it's been a bigger deal
since The molique mcdoll's draft pick that did not go.
WELL i think now that is a bigger component of
their draft, process figuring out that this particular prospect is
he A seahawk or. Not and the character element is
such a big part of, that particularly now looking for
guys that are, competitors that don't care that they're joining

(01:28:58):
in the Super bowl champion And i'm coming for your.
Job they're looking for guys that are going to bring that,
hungriness not OH i, played is you on madd and
you're my? Idol i'm just cool being in this. ROSTER
i think there are some elements that have changed over
the years For John. Schneider now in his seventeenth.

Speaker 2 (01:29:14):
Draft how crazy is? That, huh seventeen draft for this? Guy,
yeah AND i think.

Speaker 8 (01:29:21):
We all feel. OLD i, mean this is my tenth
this is my tenth draft as a. REPORTER i Mean
i'm feeling up. There so time, flies, man it really, does.

Speaker 2 (01:29:31):
No it definitely. Does you mentioned it what we've all
been kind of talking. About and of course On, Monday
schneider and McDonald met with the. Media Here you were
here and as WAS i and we listened to him
and he's very i, mean very, transparent saying, yeah it's
no secret we want to do we want to move
out of that thirty, two that thirty second. Pick how
possible do you think that?

Speaker 8 (01:29:49):
Is i'd say right, now sixty five percent is WHAT
i would put it. AT i think that they're obviously
the quarterback situation always weighs into whether teams can trade.
Down if Ty simpson gets picked in the middle of
the first, round that changes things because there's not a
unless you're subscribing to the idea That Carson beck is
going to go in the first, round WHICH i am.

(01:30:10):
Not you, know Maybe i'll be proven, wrong but this
is not a good quarterback. Class so if you don't
have A qb to trade up, for that makes it
a little bit tougher to be able to have bargaining
power trading down and making sure you get the right
price back in return compensation. Wise if there's the right corner,
edge maybe you can get a team or. RECEIVER a

(01:30:31):
team will come up and get, them maybe like The,
raiders they might go up to get a receiver for
their new number one pick. Quarterback BUT i think that
the percentage goes down a little bit if you don't
have A qb there that teams want to trade up.

Speaker 2 (01:30:44):
FOR i kind of wonder, Though, YEAH i, mean is
is It Ty? Simpson is? That is it kind of
one and done With? Simpson if it's not, him can
it be somebody else that could sneak into the first
round at thirty? Two?

Speaker 8 (01:30:56):
Well the only LIKE i, Said Carson beck's the one
that here in the last couple there's been some. MURMURS i,
PERSONALLY i think a team's crazy if they draft him
in the first. Round but you, know maybe maybe he's
a guy. MAN i know a few years ago he
was getting top five buzz when he was At, Georgia
so may still very well be a guy that behind
the scenes, interviewing well that a team, says you know,

(01:31:16):
what that's my, guy and they want to go up
and get. It but this is just this seems like
a very hard quarterback class to envision that three of
them are going to get picked in the first.

Speaker 2 (01:31:24):
Round, YEAH i, think but we know this that that
teams they get desperate for a, quarterback right there is
there is a quarterback desperation that does come into. PLAY
i also wonder if you, know maybe IF i don't,
know if i'd call it history, necessarily but you, know
maybe maybe it is history last year with with what

(01:31:46):
The giants. Did Jackson dark goes number twenty five, overall
and he was a guy that was thought to be
owns he? In is he? Out is he a first?
Rounder and Then Jackson dark was twenty fifth overall and
then by the end of the, season we're Watching Jackson
dark Going, okay The giants probably found their, quarterback, right,
like they probably found their. GUY i wonder If Jackson
dart's a test case for, hey we can maybe we'll
take a flyer on a Guy Carson beck or whoever

(01:32:07):
it might, Be Ty, simpson what have, you and then
if it does work, out a fifty year. Option.

Speaker 8 (01:32:13):
Yeah this this is all it's all a scary of
relativity year to year because LIKE i Loved Jackson, dart
SO i was not surprised that he had the success
that he did In New, york but he was kind
of A i would say that he was kind of
a mercurial pop prospect among the draft analysts out. THERE
i know a lot of people THAT i respect that
thought he's not a draft WELL qb for, me and

(01:32:35):
there were people that thought he should have been a
top ten. Pick so quarterbacks can be really hard to you,
know figure, out you, know put it on a dart
ironically saying where they fit. In so Maybe Carson beck
falls into that this. YEAR i personally don't think he's
nearest talented As Jackson dart, was but there might be
a team out there that feels and you mentioned, it

(01:32:57):
it's a position of. Desperation you can get that fifth
your option to allow further. Development there's reasons why you
go back in to get A qb in the first.

Speaker 2 (01:33:05):
Round when we look at what the needs are For,
seattle it's pretty. Obvious we talked about. It. Cornerback you
And i've talked about this for the last couple. Months
cornerback at the, cornerback running, back edge. Rusher probably maybe
the top corners and running backs are probably in you,
know one in ONE a however you want to put.
It edge rusher depth is number. Three along the, way

(01:33:26):
only five corners on the. Roster Iggy, Witherspoon Pritchett job
And Geene charles are the only corners on the. Roster
they've got some running, backs but they've only got the five.
Corners do you think corner has to be the number one?

Speaker 8 (01:33:39):
PRIORITY i don't think it has to Be if the
right guy is, there then, YES i mean If Chris
johnson Or colton The hood falls there to number, one
AND i would even make this. ARGUMENT i posted a
video with this today as far as stick and pick.
Options if If jermad McCoy From tennessee manages to fall
to the end of the first, ROUND i know he's
got medical, stuff but that guy is a very talented

(01:34:03):
player that the injury that he's been dealing, with it
sounds like he just needs a clean up repair that's
going to take a long time to recover. From but
it's not career. Threatening that is a guy maybe, that,
hey if we pick him at thirty, two we get
that fifty year, option gives us some flexibility have him under.
Contract that could end up being a, really really good
pro and full we have a pretty loaded, roster we

(01:34:24):
can actually afford to maybe medical red shirt a guy like.
That SO i think other than, that, though you, know
The seahawks don't have to force the. ISSUE i do
wonder if running back ends up being a position where
that comes into, play, though because if you don't Get
Jenarian price and you pick some other position and then
you're not on the board again until sixty. Four there's

(01:34:45):
a real good Chance Mike Washington junior And Jonah, coleman MAYBE. Emmittt.
JOHNSON i, mean there could be a run on running
backs the middle of the second. Round you could get
to pick sixty four and be, like uh, oh is
there anybody left that's better than what we? Have and
you don't have that issu you at corner, necessarily WHERE
i think there's a lot more depth second and third,
round even early day, three you can get some quality football.

Speaker 2 (01:35:07):
Players are all those second and third tier running backs
do you? Believe are they all better Than Jacarti, Wright George,
Halani Emmanuel, Wilson Kenny.

Speaker 8 (01:35:20):
MACINTOSH i don't. KNOW i Don't i'm at the point
at this juncture WHERE i, mean you know HOW i
feel About George, Hallani So i'm not going to reiterate.
That but AND i Like jacarti right WHAT i saw last,
Year and you Know Emmanuel wilson's film When i've went
back and watched some of His packers, tape there's a
lot to like about, him you. KNOW i JUST i

(01:35:42):
have some concerns with all the guys THAT i just.
Mentioned There Emmett johnson's a little bit and. LEAN i
wonder about is he going to be able to hold
up physically at the next. Level Mike Washington junior has
been a fumble. Machine the ball security stuff scares. Me
And Jonah coleman is as polished as he, Is he's
not the whole run. Hitter he's not a guy that's
going to be get ripping off a bunch of fifteen

(01:36:03):
plus yard run for you AGAINST nfl. Defenses. YEAH i
think he could be a really good back in the,
league but he's just he's not going to replace that explosive.
Component there's not many guys in this draft that are
going to replace what Ken walker the third left with
in terms of home run hitting. Ability Jenarian price is
one of the few guys that would do.

Speaker 2 (01:36:22):
That Corpus smith and will, Say Spectrum, wich we'll tell
you about here at the end of the, conversation why
and how you can, Subscribe why you need to. Subscribe
we'll get to that here in just a couple of. Seconds,
corban there is always a. Run there's always a run
on some position group along the. Way where's the run
going to be this? Year is it like when in
that first Round i'm talking of, specifically are we going

(01:36:43):
to see a run on, corners edge? Rushers could it
be once that first if It's fano goes off the
first offensive, lineman or you see a run on offensive,
Lineman where do you think we're going to see the
run come? In what?

Speaker 8 (01:36:57):
Position So i'll get the three different runs that are
gonna happen in my opinion in this first. Round and
it's a very unpredictable, round so that this may end
up looking. Laughable BUT i think the tackles are going
to go in the top twelve to fourteen. PICKS i
think there is going to be a run on. Tackles
THEN i would say corners in that next, wave and

(01:37:20):
my final mock, DRAFT i have The cowboys actually trading
up to Get colt in The hood out Of. TENNESSEE
i have The vikings Picking Chris johnson at, eighteen and
so you're you're looking at the top three, corners Assuming
jermad McCoy is not going to go in there because
the medicals they're gone before pick. Twenty SO i think
the edges in the, twenties that's where you're gonna start

(01:37:42):
seeing guys Like mesador And zion young Maybe Malachi. Lawrence
you're gonna see those guys fly off the board at
the tail end of the first. Round SO i envisioned
this being an in waves type, thing goes offensive linemen
to corners to edges and that for.

Speaker 2 (01:38:00):
Round Zion younger the guy that if he's sitting there
at thirty, two do you take him with your?

Speaker 8 (01:38:04):
SEATTLE i think you have to strongly consider. It i'm
higher on him than some other people. Are the tape
is just that he just screams seahawk with his, physicality the.
Energy he plays. With very good run, defender made improvements
this past season as a pass. Rusher but that is
another position edge THAT i think you can get some
pretty good guys on day. Two so you, know it

(01:38:26):
might boil down to, that like do we go get
our running back right now and then, hey we've got
picks in the second and third, round or maybe we
trade down and we get another pick on day two
and we can try to get some of these other
positions addressed WITH bpa the best player. Available So i'm
very curious to see how this plays. Out BUT i
think as far as sticking and, picking it's got to

(01:38:47):
be one of those, corners like If Chris johnson Or
cool in The hood falls to thirty two gadian, price
there a couple of the. Edges i'm young would be
one of. Them i'd have lumped in that category that
you would have to at least. Consider let's just go
with quotality over quantity and stick and.

Speaker 2 (01:39:01):
Pick Who'sion is? He as you're describing him And i've
heard others describe, him is he kind of A is
He Derek? Hall?

Speaker 8 (01:39:09):
LIKE i would say he's more Like DeMarcus. LAWRENCE i
think he. Is he is a very heavy, handed physical
guy that sets a firm. Edge he plays with some
cantankeroness to, him sometimes a little bit too, much BUT
i think you can get. That he can get that
muffled down just a little. Bit but He's, yeah he's

(01:39:31):
a high, energy talkative dude to plays hard every single,
snap very. Physical he reminds me a lot Of DeMarcus.

Speaker 2 (01:39:39):
Lawrence see it kind of sounds Like Derek lall too
to me a little bit, Right, Like, YEAH i Think.

Speaker 8 (01:39:43):
Derek kall has got a lot of similar. TRAITS i
would just say That i'd Say hall Probably hall is
a more athletic. Guy he has a little bit more
twitch to him Than Zion young, does but but he
very much plays Like DeMarcus lawrence with kind of that, reckless,
abandoned physical holes bar in the, edge you're not running
on me type. Mentality AND i just Think mike McDonald

(01:40:04):
loves those.

Speaker 2 (01:40:05):
Guys every, Year, corbyn there's a guy that drops for whatever,
reason and so forth's that's thought to be like a
top ten whatever, pick and all of a sudden it's picked, fifteen. Sixteen,
oftentimes as we Know chador, whoever it's a. Quarterback but
that's not gonna be the case this. Season but who
do you think is a guy that we've all been
talking about for months now that could see his name

(01:40:27):
start to slip down as picks come off the.

Speaker 8 (01:40:30):
Board, WELL i already Mentioned jermad, McCoy and his is
just medicals with the knee situation because he's. HEALTHY i
don't THINK i think he his. Floor to, ME i
have him actually getting picked by The saints at number.
Eight that would be my. FLOOR i think teams knew
about the stuff from a couple of years. Ago they're

(01:40:50):
not concerned about that at this, point SO i expect
he goes the top eight, picks But jermad McCoy is
the is the biggest, name a guy that he's, healthy
be the first corner that's picking this entire. Draft very talented,
player guy that was respected in the locker, room good team.
Guy he would be. One and Then mesador the other

(01:41:12):
edge that was across From. Bain he actually had more
production Than, baine but he's a little older player and
he's had some durability. Issues those two factors could maybe
lead him to being down to the end of the first.
Round and again he'd be a guy if he falls
at thirty. TWO i don't. KNOW i think The seahawks
would definitely consider him because he's, productive he can play
multiple positions along the defensive. Line he's good against the

(01:41:34):
run and the. Pass he's just got a couple of
those other flags there in terms of being older and
having some injuries on his.

Speaker 2 (01:41:41):
Resume it's a fascinating. DAN i think in so many.
Ways it's a fascinating draft, too especially with the lack
of quarterback star power that normally we see in the first,
round and so that's going to lead to all all
kinds of things. Happening, drama moves and the nice thing
is it goes quicker this Year, corbyn AS i mentioned
earlier in our show, today shaving those two minutes off

(01:42:01):
the off the first. Round they expect the first round
to be over by about seven thirty, tonight which is
nice for everybody. Involved so away we go tell people

and when to brush my. Teeth BUT i just want
to let you, know once A, hawk always A, Hawk Go.

Speaker 2 (01:44:59):
Hawks. Wow there's a lot, there a LOT i WOULD
i think it's all, true. THOUGH i think everything he
said was true except for the last. Part he's always
going to be The Super bowl winning quarterback. Here oh

(01:45:21):
he's got some fences dement here, THOUGH i can tell
you that right.

Speaker 3 (01:45:25):
Now do you see that, happening BECAUSE i.

Speaker 2 (01:45:27):
Do, yeah all things are, listen all things are. Forgiven
kenny easily, Fined kenny easily sued the. Team oh, WELL
i Mean kenny easy sued the. Team and he's before
he went to The hall Of, fame they put in The
ring Of. Honor so, yeah all things are. Preparable but that's,
actually that's actually spot. ON i was twenty. Twelve we

(01:45:48):
were sitting upstairs on the second day of the draft
and he was, picked and we're, like what are we?
Doing what's going on? Here they just Signed Matt flynn

guy To? Wisconsin oh my.

Speaker 4 (01:45:57):

FIRED i think manager of the, year to be, HONEST
i don't think he's getting fired anytime.

Speaker 8 (01:47:44):
Soon.

Speaker 2 (01:47:45):
Ah this is a great. Text this is a great.
One my FAVORITE nfl draft coverage. Phenomenon every, year we're
late in round, six The seahawks takes some random guard
out Of Bowling green And Rob rang is, like oh,
yeah this young man was raised by a single mom And, Bringham.
Alabama his shrinks are, this this and the other. Thing
you Sure rang is not actually An? Ai should we nickname? Him? Then?

(01:48:09):
Oh Ai? RANG i like. IT i think.

Speaker 4 (01:48:13):
You can bring that up later because we're going to
be going through the, picks you, know all the.

Speaker 3 (01:48:17):
Time he's going to be on with you throughout the.

Speaker 2 (01:48:19):
Weekend it's, Remarkable it's, honestly it's. Remarkable they will take
a guy on day two Or day three that we
haven't talked about, once and he'll just rattle off the
guy's vinyls and stats and. Forties, no, no, no, No i'm, like, oh,
okay and then if you've never heard rang on A
saturday day three in the, draft oh please tune.

Speaker 3 (01:48:42):
In that's when he.

Speaker 4 (01:48:43):
Shines it really, is because nobody. Knows we all have
our profiles of the first and second round.

Speaker 2 (01:48:49):
Rounds four through. Seven we'll be sitting here at nine
thirty in the morning on A saturday and all The
seahawks just made a. Trade they moved into the fifth.
Round who'd they pick the aforementioned random guard out of
bowling Green.

Speaker 6 (01:49:03):
Boom, boom.

Speaker 2 (01:49:03):
Boom it's just it's. Amazing, yeah he might BE. AI
i don't. Know i'm gonna look.

Speaker 3 (01:49:09):
Up i'm gonna give him one hill sort of microchip.

Speaker 2 (01:49:12):
Thing i'll see him here in a little. Bit i'm
gonna give. Up i'll.

Speaker 4 (01:49:14):
Sign i'll see if his picture shows up WHEN i
try to take a picture of. Him he's a hologram.

Speaker 2 (01:49:23):
Short.

Speaker 3 (01:49:24):
Person why not longest side burns of all the ball.

Speaker 2 (01:49:26):
Guys, okay, OKAY i can't read that. One can't read that.

Speaker 3 (01:49:31):

Speaker 3 (01:49:42):

Speaker 2 (01:49:48):

earlier With, rabel who's not speaking. Today has this person
been getting paid by one of them for six years
and the payment stops of the person went public with.

Speaker 4 (01:49:56):

Speaker 3 (01:50:10):

Speaker 2 (01:50:14):
Camp hall Of Famer Travis Homer seahawk drafted running back as. Well,
YEAH i forgot about.

Speaker 3 (01:50:19):
That he definitely.

Speaker 2 (01:50:20):
Was, yeah we used to have the great. MUSIC i
was the biggest.

Speaker 3 (01:50:24):
FAN i was the biggest ruder for. HIM i JUST
i wanted him to.

Speaker 2 (01:50:28):
Succeed we asked about would you be bummed? Out not?
Concertain they only have four picks and they hit on
three of. Them it's a. Success, YEAH i think. So.
UH i predict actual Pick brent and cis From South,
carolina first round the. Cornerback yeah yeah yeah. Yeah PEOPLE

(01:50:48):
i can like enginearium price on the text line as.
Well take that all day no YouTube FOR us. TODAY
i think they're going to have that later.

Speaker 3 (01:50:58):
On we're kind to give it a go when the draft.

Speaker 2 (01:51:00):
Starts is that what it?

Speaker 3 (01:51:01):
Is, okay no, guarantees but we are going to.

Speaker 6 (01:51:07):
Try.

Speaker 2 (01:51:08):
Yes somebody, said why is the guy can put him
About Garvin. REBUS i don't know that makes stop? It
Like garb And reva backup catcher and a utility. Guy
you were saying that they're the reason the team's not
gonna get to the. Playoffs stop, it stop. It let's
see The wilson. Call best voice smell in a. While,
yeah that was actually pretty. GOOD i like FOR, USS
i liked us a. LOT i was actually really. Good

(01:51:30):
crazy rank could cover at twenty seven round, draft Says Keith.
Miller he, Could, yes he. Should he honestly. COULD i
have better chance of winning the Watter in Than Dan
wilson Getting manager of The. Year oh, yeah that's.

Speaker 3 (01:51:45):
TOO i just don't think he's gonna get.

Speaker 4 (01:51:47):
FIRED i was going with the odds there because it
was what's more, Likely AND i don't think he's gonna get.

Speaker 2 (01:51:53):
Fired two f, threet why the tallest short, person why
not the longest side burns of all the ball.

Speaker 3 (01:51:58):
Guys, okay do you listen to this?

Speaker 2 (01:51:59):
Show?

Speaker 6 (01:52:00):
Yeah BECAUSE i can't.

Speaker 2 (01:52:01):
Say with the tallest BUT i read that one to.
You did you say that to?

Speaker 4 (01:52:06):
Me?

Speaker 2 (01:52:06):
YES i was saving that for. Myself DID i just pull?

Speaker 4 (01:52:09):

Speaker 8 (01:52:53):
Are?

Speaker 2 (01:52:53):
Boy, now thirty second pick, overall we're going big. Today
we are going big. TODAY i think we should do a.
