Speaker 4 (00:27):
Lucky guy.
Speaker 3 (00:27):

This week along with myself, we've.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
You guys, a virgin, A virgin.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
Mister Matt Austin from New six.
Speaker 5 (01:03):
How are you guys?
Speaker 4 (01:04):
We're doing good? How are you.
Speaker 5 (01:06):
Living the dream?
Speaker 6 (01:07):
I got the day off to come and hang out
with you guys during the week.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
Is that the truth? You actually got out of work? Tonight, Jesse,
you can come hang out with this crew.
Speaker 6 (01:15):
I told my boss they have this big, beautiful audience
that we want to come in and.
Speaker 5 (01:20):
Talk to a little bit.
Speaker 6 (01:21):
Get me in front of That's how you have to
sell it, rightly. I just wanted to hang out with Jack.
I thought that would be amazing.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
He's a fun hang.
Speaker 5 (01:30):
Yeah, he's a good hang.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
Well, welcome, by the way, we really do appreciate it.
Speaker 5 (01:34):
Thanks for having me. I'm very excited.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
You guys kind of look related.
Speaker 7 (01:37):
Yeah, like you guys are. I don't know if it's
cousins or brothers, but more so it's like if Jack
took the Captain America serum.
Speaker 4 (01:48):
I was gonna say.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
Jack looked a little bit pleased by that, and Matt
was like, what yeh, Like.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
If I went to the gym.
Speaker 7 (01:55):
Yeah, but like moisturize starting year three or something.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
I probably could have done that too.
Speaker 5 (02:01):
Is Jack my dad? Is that what you're saying? Jack?
Speaker 8 (02:05):
His dad?
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Shaw? Dude, it's Jack Dadshaw.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
I think we may have a show title right off. Rip,
so really quick, tell folks who don't know. I mean,
you are the evening news anchor at News six. You've
been there for a while now.
Speaker 6 (02:17):
Fifteen years wow, closing in on Yes you have been Yeah,
I've been news anchor there. I started as the morning
anchor right very early in the morning. After a couple
of years, they moved me Tonight's and now I get
to do the do the five o'clock, six o'clock we
have We just started at three o'clock.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
Man, you're a busy donckey.
Speaker 6 (02:36):
Yeah, oh yeah, I got out of all sorts of
work today.
Speaker 5 (02:39):
My only question is where do you guys keep the
teleprompter around?
Speaker 9 (02:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (02:43):
Is it hidden somewhere?
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (02:45):
No, no teleprompters here.
Speaker 7 (02:47):
You know, there is one teleprompter here, and it's just
body language. See where the line is with the other
person that you're talking about. Like example, I kind of
read the room and I was like, yeah, I'll go
Captain America's seer room joke up top. See where Jack is. Okay,
he's fine with it. I'm just gonna make that joke
a lot today.
Speaker 5 (03:07):
Wonderful you call me Captain America all you want.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
Yeah, dude, you're a super Jack. Would you stop? Imagine Jack?
But like sexy, it's sexy Jack.
Speaker 10 (03:17):
Look behind you, see look behind you. That's the line.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
Yeah, but not only have you been news anchor, but
you know, I did a little bit of research, you know,
I had to learn a little bit about our co
host today it should be Yeah, but I did find
that you've had quite a quite an impact on laws
here in Florida, at least one specifically, right, you won
an award for your three year investigation into texting and
(03:42):
driving in Florida and actually helped change the laws.
Speaker 6 (03:44):
Yeah, that one I couldn't help but get involved with.
I was, you know, I used to do the eleven
o'clock news. I was driving home at midnight one night
and I was at a stoplight and next thing you know,
I woke up and blood was dripping down the back
of my head. Somebody had slammed into the back of
me and he had admitted to the police on scene
that he was texting and driving. And so I remember
(04:06):
being in the hospital room, very groggy. I had a
nasty concussion, and I said, so you're going to put
this guy in jail? What are you going to do?
And the officer said, I can't do anything. Florida's laws
are just weak, and basically, you know, there's nothing that
you can do about it. Even if you were watching
somebody texting and driving, you couldn't pull him over in
the state of Florida. And it drove me crazy to
(04:27):
find that out. So yeah, for three years, you would
think it would be an easy law to change, common sense.
Speaker 4 (04:33):
Right, you would think, Oh, I had to.
Speaker 6 (04:35):
Kick down some doors for three years in Tallahassee to
try to make that happen. And finally Governor Ron DeSantis
signed it after three years of work and made it happen.
And a lot of people helped with that, a lot
of people who have lost family members. And unfortunately the
law hasn't gone as far as I would like. These days,
(04:55):
I don't know about you, guys. I still see a
lot of texting drivers out there.
Speaker 11 (04:58):
It's every day.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
It's an epidemic.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
I mean, earlier this week we had gone over the
story about how the number of cases of distracted driving
in Florida are surging and Florida Highway Patrol troopers are
like wanting to crack down. And part of it, obviously
is the cell phone. The hands free cell phone bill
once again did not pass this current legislative session, so
(05:21):
again law enforcement feels like their hands are tied but.
Speaker 4 (05:24):
I mean just driving to work every day this week.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
If I saw cars swerving a little bit, all I
had to do was align with the driver's side window,
and sure enough you're going to see them looking down
at their phones.
Speaker 5 (05:34):
You could see them. Yeah, they're like drunks on the roads.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
Yeah, they are, exactly.
Speaker 5 (05:38):
They're swerving all over the place.
Speaker 6 (05:39):
And unfortunately Tallahassee just does not have the appetite to
fix problems like this, because there's nobody taking you to
a steak.
Speaker 5 (05:48):
Dinner right for buying you flowers to get a safer road.
You know there are you talking.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
About lobbyist, mister lobby Oh yeah, we have them for that.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Not a lot of lobbyists just for general safety.
Speaker 7 (06:03):
No, no, there's not like some like super group of
people going like, well it's actually better for everyone.
Speaker 6 (06:09):
Right, they're kind of broke. Those people are broke. Yeah,
you don't make any money in tellhasses.
Speaker 7 (06:13):
Yeah, it's really hard to make money when you just
be like, you know, safety.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
First, right, exactly exactly.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
In fact, it's usually the powers that want, you know,
bad behavior to continue are the ones that lobby the
hardest because they have the money.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
In Tallahassee, we do a segment in.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
The four o'clock hour called Colbert Court, where we invite
personal injury attorney Glenn Klausman to bring us a case.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Today.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
He's actually bringing us signs of brain injury, of when
you've suffered a concussion and maybe you're not aware of it.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
Okay, So because those are important.
Speaker 6 (06:41):
I don't know if I want to hear that, yes today,
but we have a test for you, so I'm gonna
fail it for sure.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
That's okay.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
So are we?
Speaker 7 (06:51):
How do you feel about people ripping and roaring internet
digital surfing at a red light? You know that is
I remember, if I remember correctly, that the law was
like if.
Speaker 11 (07:05):
Our wheels aren't turning, it's legal.
Speaker 7 (07:07):
Because I'm not gonna lie, dude, I'd be doing banking
at red light. I'm doing my taxi. I'm winging and danging,
wheeling and dealing at red light. It's legal at a
red light. It's not legal at a stop sign though.
Speaker 6 (07:20):
That's just rude, not doing at a stop sign because
you're supposed to stop for a second and keep going.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
Who needs Trooper Steve when we have Matt Ausie. I know, I.
Speaker 5 (07:29):
Know this is the one traffic safety issue. I do.
Speaker 7 (07:33):
This is also kind of another strike against Jack when
it comes to you being like a super version of him,
because he actually believes in texting and driving.
Speaker 11 (07:42):
Would you like to sit in the other room?
Speaker 5 (07:45):
What is it, Jack, Do we need to talk? I'm
pretty good my car shelf drive.
Speaker 7 (07:56):
He brings up, Hey, ibout do you do we all
have drivers on our cars. I would think, deb, you
might not have drive assists.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
I don't even really know what that is, you know, Okay.
Speaker 5 (08:07):
Yea, yeah, I have super Crushaby super Crews.
Speaker 7 (08:09):
So like a lot of cars these days have these
drive assist options, and I'll be honest with you, I
like it. It scares the living hell out of me
knowing that that's an option for like the rest of society,
and more and more cars are having it. It's basically
driving to your car with like invisible bumpers.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, no, no, and that's happened. That's
everywhere driving.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
But you know, for the texter, the driver who's texting,
maybe that drive assist would at least keep them in
their own lane.
Speaker 7 (08:38):
No.
Speaker 10 (08:39):
I think that's the problem because now you, oh, I
can text because I have driver Okay, it's.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
A human variable.
Speaker 6 (08:46):
Yeah, or I can drink because I have drive assists. Yeah,
some people are doing that.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
That's not wrong, But I see what I mean.
Speaker 7 (08:55):
This is why I told you, oh yeah, yeah, this
is going to be a long four hours.
Speaker 5 (09:01):
Guys.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
I just want you to know, Matt, that door locks,
and that's only going to be unlocked when you need
a potty break.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
But your sed up, Okay, I don't know.
Speaker 7 (09:08):
I've been thinking this a while now because I use
drive assist case, I do, but I use it correctly.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
I'm a big fan of it.
Speaker 7 (09:17):
You still have to keep your hands on the wheel, right,
But I just know that when you give humanity a ninch.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Kind of been known to take the mile.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
Oh no, and then some yeah exactly.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
Well, some people are already texting us at seven seven
zero three one. Fourteen years ago, my high school TV
class toured New six and we met Matt. I don't
know if he ever remembers that. He was very cool
to all of us. Don't you love that? Is it
was twenty years ago?
Speaker 4 (09:45):
Is at Public's you were checking out, I.
Speaker 6 (09:47):
Said hi, And whenever those stories start, you're like, God,
please tell me I was nice?
Speaker 2 (09:52):
Yeah, right, I know, I.
Speaker 10 (09:54):
Toured Local six when I was in college and David Whitman,
wow the time.
Speaker 5 (10:00):
Yeah, all the I think does he still do the
winter park boat tours? Is that? I think David Whitman
does winter park boat tours now.
Speaker 10 (10:08):
He was an anchor in Jacksonville for a while after
he left here. I didn't know, that's something that's on
my list doing that the winner bark chain of both.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
You haven't done that yet?
Speaker 4 (10:18):
No, I was like, what, you want to be a
TV news anchor?
Speaker 10 (10:21):
Actually, that's what I was going back to school for. Really,
when I started listening to The Phillips File, I said,
all right, I'm going for TV news, but if I'm
going to be radio, I want to be on the
Phillips File.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
That's what it is.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
I thought I was going to do TV news. Then
I went, I don't like to be looked down.
Speaker 7 (10:35):
It's not Captain America, Serium or anything. You guys are
actually the same person. But then some weird time continuum
thing happened in the world, and then that's the TV
version and you're the radio version.
Speaker 4 (10:49):
Oh dude, Matt, you made a good choice.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
I did, and you're gonna have to figure out who
this person in between is I'm not so sure I did.
Speaker 3 (10:56):
But back to that, I believe I am. Along with Jack.
We are in the same boat. You see what I
did there. We've never done the Winter park boat Tour.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
I did.
Speaker 6 (11:07):
That is one of my top recommendations when people come
to Central Florida. The Winter park Boat Tour is magical, raft, family,
and time. Yeah, it's it's great. De Leon Springs in
the winter park boat tours. Those are my two go
tos if you don't want to do the theme parks
and come to or.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
Life, I mean a place where you used to be
able to make your own pancakes at right.
Speaker 10 (11:25):
And the other one for me would be Kennedy Space Center,
visitor cop like, without a doubt, a little bit of
a drive, but there's no other place on earth like it.
Speaker 4 (11:32):
That's the truth.
Speaker 5 (11:33):
That's a good wreck.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
And my would be the Dora Canals on the cat
boat tour. So you go through the chain of lakes.
You go from you know, Lake Dora over to Lake
Eustace and you go through this canal.
Speaker 5 (11:44):
The Harris Chain.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
Yeah, it's really really pretty.
Speaker 5 (11:46):
I would love to do that.
Speaker 4 (11:47):
It's so much fun.
Speaker 7 (11:49):
I would go with there's this bar called Sly Fox
and there's a bathroom stall that first one on.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
The left, that's where magic happens.
Speaker 5 (11:56):
Yeah, please do not elaborate.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
Let's move on.
Speaker 12 (12:02):
Hey.
Speaker 10 (12:02):
By the way, if you want to watch today's show,
we are live on YouTube. Go to Real Radio dot
FM slash watch and you can connect with the show
right there.
Speaker 11 (12:09):
Man, the YouTube feed is now live.
Speaker 4 (12:12):
What would I do without you?
Speaker 2 (12:13):
Jack? You'll find out next week.
Speaker 13 (12:15):
I know.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
All right, Well, we're gonna do right now. We're gonna
take a quick break. When we come back, we're going
to talk about Colorado State University unveiling its Atlantic hurricane
season prediction. A new AI generated scam is targeting utility customers,
and this Florida city tops Travel and Leisure's lists for millennials,
says it's the top place for millennials to live. We'll
(12:40):
talk about that and more coming up next during JCS News.
So keep it here on the Jim Culbert Show on
Real Radio one A four point one.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
Today is Cooler Cooler with Ross Paget presented by mills Air.
Turn to the experts at Carrier and turn to the
experts at Millsair dot com.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
Shy back to.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
The Jim Culbert Show on Real Radio one oh four
point one. Hope you're having a fabulous Thursday. Thank you
so much for spending part of your day with us.
We really do appreciate it. Listen throughout the day. We
welcome your text messages seven seven zero three one, certainly
your talkbacks. Welcome our special guest today, Matt Austin, news
anchor over at News six. First time ever. Y'all coming
and doing a radio program all day. Yeah, hooping that
(13:23):
Cherry Gilbert Show. The Jim part will be back on Monday.
You've got deb Jack Rows and again our special guest today,
Matt Austin. Now let's go ahead and do a little
bit of JCS news.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
Goods time for JCS news.
Speaker 5 (13:42):
Wow, this guy got to put his name on every sekend.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
It's in my contract ed.
Speaker 5 (13:45):
Here's the news on the Jim Colbert.
Speaker 11 (13:48):
I'm sure this news guy had to do.
Speaker 5 (13:50):
I will be judging this second.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
Love it as rightfully you should, all right, all right,
no pressure, no pressure, that's awesome. Great hurricane experts, this
is some good news. Are predicting a somewhat below average
twenty twenty six Atlantic hurricane season. Colorado State University's Phil
Klattsbox says, you can thank El Nino for that, but overall.
Speaker 5 (14:15):
You know, it's certainly not looking as conducive in the Atlantic.
I say it did the last few years at this time.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
So he's predicting a total of thirteen named storms, six hurricanes,
and then two of those being major category three or higher. Now,
an average season sees fourteen named storms and seven hurricanes.
For those who are new to Florida, get ready, the
fun starts on June first and last through November thirtieth.
Speaker 10 (14:38):
Yay, so correct me. I think last year we didn't
have any storms hit the state.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
We didn't have any landfalling hurricanes, but we did have
some history making hurricanes, couple of category fives that ramped
up like from A three to with five in less
than twenty four hours. And we've been seeing that more
and more over the last several years.
Speaker 10 (14:56):
Because none hit the state, that means our homeowners insurance probably.
Speaker 5 (15:00):
We dropped this year.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
Right, I don't know, but I know that's something I
want to talk to Matt Austin about because I know
you've been doing some investigative reporting on that.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
Right.
Speaker 6 (15:07):
Well, here's what I found guys, Tallahassee's taken care of it.
You don't have to worry about said, listen, We've done
everything we can do.
Speaker 5 (15:16):
We're not going to do anything else about it.
Speaker 6 (15:20):
I know that that's probably the thing you're worried about,
is your rising home insurance costs Why rocketed?
Speaker 4 (15:26):
Yeah exactly, No, you.
Speaker 5 (15:27):
Care about that, But they're saying, Hey, everything's great.
Speaker 6 (15:30):
That's basically if you talk to a politician about it,
it's it's covered.
Speaker 11 (15:33):
I find him right now at some hidden lobbyist bar.
Speaker 4 (15:36):
Yeah exactly.
Speaker 7 (15:38):
Like I don't want to complain about it real fast,
but I'm going to complain about it real fast. I
just found out that I'm paying more towards insurance than
the principle of my home.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
Make it mix.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
Sense when you're in the state of Florida.
Speaker 5 (15:51):
I'm sorry, it's crazy.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
It is crazy, and we're going to talk some more
about that because the last time we talked about it,
it's it's heartbreaking how many text messages and talkbacks we
got from listeners talking about having to sell their home
because they just simply couldn't afford the insurance on it anymore,
or how many homeowners are going naked without that insurance
and just hoping and praying something doesn't happen catastrophically where
(16:13):
they would require insurance to help take care.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
Of the repairs.
Speaker 5 (16:17):
This is not the state to go naked.
Speaker 4 (16:18):
It is not, absolutely not in that regard.
Speaker 5 (16:22):
What you've seen.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
These goal posts, these goalposts keep moving, Yeah they do.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
Florida drivers are finding a little more relief at the pump,
but gas prices remain high. Triple A says the state
wide average is four thirteen a gallon. That's down three
cents from Wednesday. That price sixty four cents higher than
a month ago. Diesel also down two cents in Florida
to five seventy six, while the national average gas price
have edged up to four seventeen a gallon.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
Still, the straight up.
Speaker 3 (16:49):
Horn Mews Hormuz remains open, ceasepire, fragile, but still holding
at the moment.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
Good news there all right.
Speaker 3 (16:56):
Four astronauts are set to return to Earth tomorrow, wrapping
up NASA's Artemis two mission after a landmark trip around
the Moon. I am so nervous until splash down mink too.
Speaker 11 (17:08):
Yeah, re entry all above thousand miles an hour.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
All eyes are, all eyes are on the heat shield.
They're coming in at a new angle. Things have to
be so right down at the splash zone. No precipitation
within like thirty five miles, no waves over six feet,
just all these all these stars have to line up.
But the crew is expected to splash down in the
Pacific Ocean off the coast of San Diego tomorrow evening
(17:32):
like at eight oh seven Pacific time.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
US Navy and medical.
Speaker 3 (17:36):
Teams from Camp Pendleton will be standing by as the
Orion capsule hits the water. In fact, Navy divers are
expected to reach the astronauts first, following their historic journey.
Speaker 5 (17:46):
It's the most dangerous part of the mission. It is
right there.
Speaker 6 (17:48):
We can stop worrying about the space toilet and now
we yeah, hope that they get all round.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
Exactly and get home and get home. Okay, that's Terra Firma.
That's all I want, all right. As if we don't
have enough worries as consumers, there's a new AI generated
scam targeting Florida utility customers, including FPL.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
And listen to just how lifelike this really sounds.
Speaker 14 (18:10):
New safety regulations for air conditioning units have been finalized,
and if your system is more than three years old.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
Your monthly bill is scheduled to double by next month.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
So FBL wants customers to know this is not real
and urges everyone who receives a call like this to
hang up and then call the phone number on your
power bill. It stresses to be extra careful if an
unsolicited caller mentions immediate action, Right, You've got to do
this right now in order to receive this rebate or
(18:39):
this refund, or it threatens penalties or service interruption Without
immediate response, that is always a sign of a scam.
Speaker 10 (18:46):
You can't trust anybody now, can't trust you samequick links
in emails. You have to You have to look for
the phone number and dial it yourself from your power bill.
Speaker 7 (18:55):
And who knew that the AI revolution would come in
this little Southern Dixie drawl?
Speaker 5 (19:04):
It gives it a little more believability.
Speaker 4 (19:06):
Right, sounds like someone that would be like a neighbor.
Speaker 7 (19:09):
I'm a real person, sweet teeth, thicker the mud that
very well, I've been practicing. I'm a robot.
Speaker 4 (19:18):
Hey, you can see me and no callus Saturday night.
Speaker 7 (19:21):
I just don't understand, like was that design did some
did somebody.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
Else give it the Southern draw. I didn't evolve into
the Southern draw.
Speaker 4 (19:29):
Oh, we don't want to go there.
Speaker 11 (19:30):
Come on, we can adjust.
Speaker 10 (19:32):
I have an Indian woman talking to me from my
cell phone telling me when my next appointment is.
Speaker 11 (19:37):
You can adjust that.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
Yeah. So, but then they.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
Adjusted it to probably make it sound more like more regional.
Speaker 7 (19:46):
So I guess what I'm curious, Like, obviously, the adjustment
to make a scam draw happens from a human. But
did the AI go all, we are not having a
successful hit rate, make it from Mississippi.
Speaker 4 (19:59):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (20:00):
We'll have to look into that. But in the meantime,
everything's on the table these days. Man.
Speaker 6 (20:03):
Yeah, and then she starts asking you to go to
your latest crypto exchange right exactly and get some gold
bars and mail it to them. It's crazy how I
always wonder how that stuff comes along when it gets
past Oh, I can just send you a check.
Speaker 10 (20:18):
Have you bought a gift card recently? When when you
buy gift cards, like at Walgreens, they're like, uh, are
you buying this for you? Or is someone asking you
to buy this?
Speaker 11 (20:28):
I'm like what?
Speaker 10 (20:29):
And it's because a lot of people at a lot
of scams are done through gift cards, and they get
their money through gift cards and then you give them
the code, and so they want to make sure that
someone didn't email you or call you and ask you
to buy these gift cards.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
Which is amazing because who would have thought we need
to show our ID to buy allergy medication and then
answer a ten point questionnaire.
Speaker 4 (20:49):
Before you buy a gift card. But here we are.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
I did it? Did it?
Speaker 3 (20:54):
The Semino County Sheriff's Office says a man walked up
to a deputy at a store in Lake Maryor on
March twenty fourth. He claimed he saw two men breaking
into a patrol car, showing a video on his phone,
which he then sent to the deputy. Deputy found nothing
missing and determined the video was a deep fake and
what maybe thought of as a joke or haha, got
(21:14):
you caused twenty two year old Alexis Martinez Arizala of
Lake Worth Beach now facing several charges and getting making
a false police reports.
Speaker 10 (21:24):
Screw you, dude, I'm glad, and then a weekend stay
on Knucklehead Island for you.
Speaker 11 (21:29):
Oh yeah, here's the deal.
Speaker 10 (21:31):
So the video, it shows like three guys in suits
getting into the patrol car, and he showed it to
the officer who's inside a store at the time. So
he runs out and his car is fine and everything's fine.
And what this kid did was then he took the video.
His idea was to go viral on social media. Yeah,
of course, so like, oh, this is me tricking a cop.
(21:51):
You know this, And they're like, okay, well now we
know who you are, and now we're.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
Gonna get you, and now you're gonna face real serious,
real role charges.
Speaker 7 (22:00):
The police department hit subscribe right before they got them.
Speaker 5 (22:05):
He got three new viewers subscribe. Yeah. I saw my daughter.
Speaker 6 (22:10):
She had Snapchat and there's a Snapchat filter where you
can basically take a video of someone and you can
make them do whatever you want.
Speaker 5 (22:17):
It just takes their image.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
Not cool, bro, Yes, seems super sillio.
Speaker 5 (22:21):
What could go wrong?
Speaker 2 (22:22):
What could go wrong?
Speaker 4 (22:23):
I don't see anything wrong with it, all right.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
Florida's junior US senator continues to push for the passage
of the Save America Act.
Speaker 15 (22:31):
I firmly believe that with everything we are seeing, not
here in Florida but in many other states, we have
got to ensure that American citizens are the only ones
voting an American election.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
Ashley Moody and fellow Florida Senator Rick Scott a co
sponsors of the bill that would require proof of US
citizenship to register to vote and legal ID at the polls,
even though elections supervisors can already tell your citizenship status.
Speaker 11 (22:57):
We can stay at Knucklehead Island for the two of us.
Speaker 4 (22:59):
No doubt about it.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
Meanwhile, lawmakers will not be returning to Tallahassee next week.
House Speaker Daniel Perez and Senate President Ben Albritton announced
yesterday they won't call for a special session to set
the budget. I don't understand how this works, because it's
the one constitutional thing they're supposed to do. Governor Ron
DeSantis ordered the special session, but All Britain says more
(23:20):
details need to be finalized before formal budget talks can begin.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
Ooh, I smellify.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
Lawmakers have until July first to set a budget and
avoid a possible government shut down.
Speaker 5 (23:34):
They're only one point five billion dollars apart.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
Yeah, that's not a lot.
Speaker 5 (23:37):
That's not a big deal.
Speaker 4 (23:38):
Right, here's some workable space there, I.
Speaker 11 (23:42):
Know, all right, A decimal pointer two.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
Come on.
Speaker 3 (23:45):
Recent elections are proving Florida's voters are changing. Political scientist
doctor Susan McManus points to recent Democratic upsets in Palm
Beach and Hillsborough Counties, saying the youngest generations vote not
by party affiliation, but qualities of candidates and their authenticity.
Speaker 5 (24:03):
Because they don't really like either party. They're not going
to be picking who they vote for by the R
or D after the night.
Speaker 3 (24:11):
Join us on the NPA side, right, Jack, you recently
you're in my neck of the woods. Now right you're
NPA or are you independent?
Speaker 2 (24:19):
NPA? You're NPA?
Speaker 3 (24:21):
Okaych It means I lose out on primaries. I know
in the state of Florida, we lose out on that.
But these voters are relying on influencers and social media groups,
not TV ads or yard signs. Right now, twenty eight
percent of Florida voters have no party affiliation or are
a member of one of fifteen minor parties. That's two
percent less than registered Democrats at thirty percent and forty
(24:43):
one percent Republicans.
Speaker 6 (24:45):
People forget that we used to be a purple state.
I know, and it shifted very quickly. You wonder how
these shifts could take place if it could shift back.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
Or well, I've heard a couple of political scientists in
the state say it's because of the outreach that Governor
Disantis did, specifically in New York and California, appealing to
law enforcement that didn't like the policies or those who
were fleeing the tax the rich policies in California.
Speaker 4 (25:11):
A lot of them moved.
Speaker 2 (25:12):
To the state of Florida.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
So it's not as if Floridians changed party affiliation. It's
really all of the influx of new people that have
come and tipped the state decidedly read and completely out
of purple all the way.
Speaker 10 (25:23):
And during the pandemic, a lot of them came to
Florida because we didn't believe in COVID here.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
It never happened. Well, not a Florida thing, No, it
just stayed up north. Yeah, nothing that's here.
Speaker 6 (25:37):
But it is amazing when you track how many Republicans
have registered, because it used to be very even. Actually,
you know, Independence were about a third of the amount
of voters in Florida, and then Republicans added one million
in just a couple of years, and that has shifted everything.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
Absolutely there hasn't been a democratic governor since Lawton Shiles.
Where Republicans have you know, and now they have a
super majority.
Speaker 2 (25:59):
Up not Buddy McKay, Oh, Buddy McKay.
Speaker 4 (26:02):
That's right, Okay, my buddy.
Speaker 11 (26:04):
But yeah, he took over for Lott and after he
died on treadmill.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
Yeah up in the nice work.
Speaker 7 (26:09):
Hi, why'd you say that so charmingly he was? I
was like, man, this is wrong, dude, what a fun
fact he loved. Man, that's a jacket, a nutshell, something
super smart and then really morbid.
Speaker 4 (26:33):
All right, this is pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
The Caause Senmi Police Department is unveiling a drone program.
The fleet will give officers a unique perspective of crime
scenes and search areas from the air. The drones are
equipped with a spotlight for nighttime visuals and a speaker
to communicate with people on the ground. The footage captured
by the drones will be recorded and logged into evidence.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
Dun you guys like that?
Speaker 7 (26:56):
Sorry, sorry, I just coughed. That was me clearing his throat.
Definitely not the theme song to Terminator.
Speaker 5 (27:02):
So big brother, right, that's what I think.
Speaker 4 (27:04):
That's what I think.
Speaker 6 (27:05):
It starts over crime scenes and then maybe one day.
All the drones are flying around all the time, watching
everything that everybody does.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
Mysterio Villain, Second Spider Man movie. I rest my case. Yeah,
thank you very much.
Speaker 11 (27:20):
Case rested.
Speaker 2 (27:21):
Yeah, he used drones and then he went out. Don't
get me start holding.
Speaker 4 (27:24):
Back all right.
Speaker 3 (27:26):
A student estimates that she was just six inches away
from serious injury or even worse, after a train hit
her school bus in Sumter County. It's not just what happened,
you guys. It's what the bus driver was caught on
the security video actually saying when this happened. Isabelle Sinibaldi
talked recently about last week's that collision in Bushnell. The
(27:47):
eighth grader was on a bus that was crossing at
East Central Ab and North Market Street when a train
clipped the back of the bus. Isabelle was sitting in
the back, and she says she remembers thinking they were
going to get completely demanded as the train approached. A
lot of cell phone video shows kids screaming train train.
The bus driver is facing charges like twenty nine counts
(28:09):
of child neglect, and she has heard saying I ain't
stopping for no train with a bus full of.
Speaker 6 (28:16):
Kids that could have bomb It could have been so
bad so much. Have you seen the video? It is
maybe a foot and that bus is just it's.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
One thing for her to maybe not have seen the
crossing r but for her to be heard saying ain't
stopping for no bus or for no train and she's
got a bus full of other people's kids.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
That's large marge activity right there.
Speaker 3 (28:39):
There was just another one, a couple of accidents actually
up in Duvo, up in Jacksonville school bus that got
clipped by a semi and another one that just got
clipped again today. So it's it's crazy when you got
but let.
Speaker 6 (28:53):
Me ask you, twenty nine counts of child neglect. Those
are some heavy, heavy charges for someone. I mean, she
did make a mistake in the moment, obviously, and you
know you're not surprised that she's never driving a bus again,
but that those are some really heavy charges for somebody.
Speaker 4 (29:09):
They are.
Speaker 3 (29:09):
But again, when she's heard saying ain't stopping for no train,
it's like, what, why are you?
Speaker 4 (29:14):
Why are you driving a school bus?
Speaker 3 (29:16):
You do uber eats because you can destroy someone's cheeseburgs.
Speaker 10 (29:20):
But so she'll never drive a school bus she's not
allowed to contact any of the kids or their family.
She's not allowed near the school. But it wasn't intentional.
Speaker 11 (29:30):
I don't know.
Speaker 10 (29:30):
She yeah, I can see her saying that as like, no,
we're going to make it.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
We're not stopping for a school bus. I can see
myself saying that. It's like, we're not stopping, we're going.
Speaker 10 (29:40):
I'm thinking, you have enough room to make it. And
it looked like there was a light after. And I
know we have these funky tracks over there in four
point thirty four Ronald Reagan area where they Yeah, the
tracks are a little set back from the traffic light.
So what you have to have enough room, You have
to plan for enough room to get over. And she
may judge. She goofed no more driving school buses, although
(30:04):
she did it for what a dozen years or so
East Yeah, without a problem. She screwed up deservedly so,
but she really need to spend time in jail.
Speaker 3 (30:13):
Well, no to that end, you know, if you take
her ability to drive kids around. But the school district
has altered the route now to avoid the railroad crossing
in the future. They said, listen, we've used this route
for decades, never had a problem until now, but going forward,
let's just play it safe and just change this route
so it doesn't have to encounter this train crossing.
Speaker 6 (30:32):
It sounds like the car in front of her was
turning left and then stopped in the middle of the turn,
so she anticipated that it was going to keep going,
and then she stopped at a very terrible time, right,
And yeah, you can't take those kind of chances.
Speaker 4 (30:44):
Okay, so she doesn't have to go to Knucklehead Island, Jack.
Speaker 7 (30:48):
Nah, she learned her lessons, all right, all right, So
now everyone's safe. Everyone's right, no one got hurt, the
kids are good, all right. So like comically, that doubled down,
I ain't stopping for no train is hilarious to me
because that's exactly what Otto would say. From the Simpsons
Sat Glus driver, That's what he would do.
Speaker 3 (31:07):
Yeah, exactly. You'd think she'd know better. But like you said,
just to someone stopped, you thought you had time. A
lot of people in cars do that, like Ronald Reagan.
That's just one of those spots you kind of want
to bend when.
Speaker 4 (31:19):
You're going to stop.
Speaker 12 (31:20):
All right.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
One of Disney World's most famous rides are going to
be reopening soon. Disney announced yesterday Big thunder Mountain Railroad
will reopen May third. It's been closed since January. Some
changes could allow more kids to ride. Disney is lowering
the ride's height requirement by two inches to thirty eight inches.
Thunder Mountain first open in the Magic Kingdom back in
(31:41):
nineteen eighty.
Speaker 5 (31:42):
I love thunder Mountain. That's always the first one I
take my girls on.
Speaker 4 (31:45):
And no, it did not make me cry a couple
of years ago.
Speaker 5 (31:48):
What made you cry?
Speaker 9 (31:49):
Did it?
Speaker 4 (31:50):
Just like heights got a little scared coming down the mountain?
Speaker 5 (31:52):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (31:53):
Trying to remember what one it was. Thunder Mountain.
Speaker 11 (31:55):
It's been forever.
Speaker 5 (31:57):
It's kind of over there by Splash Mountain.
Speaker 7 (31:59):
Yeah, yeah, okay, yep, good time used to be Splash
Mountains by you would venture.
Speaker 2 (32:07):
It's a blasts real fun, all right.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
Finally, this city in Florida is being named the best
in the nation for millennials to live.
Speaker 4 (32:14):
You want to take a.
Speaker 7 (32:15):
Guess, Oh, padded room, no window? No, the city is nope.
Speaker 5 (32:23):
Oh good?
Speaker 10 (32:24):
Oh no, ikim no where they're building that tech center.
Speaker 7 (32:29):
And you almost I saw it on the tip of
your tongue.
Speaker 4 (32:35):
No, No, Naples, Tampa now I was getting there.
Speaker 3 (32:40):
Tampa has been named the best city in the Nation
for Millennials to live. Travel and Leisure magazine site strong
job opportunities paired with lifestyle perks like restaurants, nightlife, outdoor activities,
and access to beaches. Experts point to Florida's growing downtown,
walkability and warm winters as major draws for young professionals.
(33:01):
Saint Petersburg also made the list, landing seventh, and is
praised for job growth, relative affordable, relatively, affordable housing relative
relatively Yeah, that's a and it's growing millennial populations.
Speaker 4 (33:13):
So there you have a Tampa tops for millennials.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
I love Saint Petersburg. That's good.
Speaker 5 (33:19):
Me too, I love it.
Speaker 2 (33:21):
I don't know what it is once I get into
that town.
Speaker 7 (33:24):
I just my wife and I both know what we're
doing that night, Like it's a yeah. Yeah, it's not swinging,
but I mean we're we're making love.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
Probably why would you.
Speaker 11 (33:36):
S with each other.
Speaker 5 (33:40):
Separately? Yeah, guys, I'm just going to step out.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
Yeah, saying so real quick.
Speaker 3 (33:45):
I don't know if you guys heard, but the Red
Bull Cliff Diving World Series is coming to Saint Petersburg
in June. Yeah, world class divers are going to compete
June fifth and six, launching from platforms built over Saint
Pete Peter, you know, the waters at Tampa Bay.
Speaker 10 (34:01):
Due to our lack of cliff exactly, That's what confused me.
Speaker 3 (34:06):
Yeah, it's the only US stop on the twenty twenty
six World Tour right there in Saint Pete Beach, Red
Bull Cliff Diving Championships be there.
Speaker 5 (34:13):
Good times.
Speaker 6 (34:14):
Tampa used to be really sleepy and not a very
fun town, maybe fifteen years ago.
Speaker 5 (34:18):
I think they've done a lot of good work there.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
They have.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
It's a it's a really nice place fitting the riverfront.
Speaker 3 (34:23):
I mean they keep making all kinds of national publications
with the walkability aspect and stuff like that.
Speaker 4 (34:28):
So yeah, they're making waves and.
Speaker 3 (34:32):
That concludes what go ahead your JCS news, Delia Lee,
I forgot again.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
Just do it out of context.
Speaker 5 (34:41):
I'm confused.
Speaker 4 (34:42):
Just give us a little air guitar, just a little.
Speaker 5 (34:47):
Don't those bass I think, don't.
Speaker 2 (34:50):
Well, we come back.
Speaker 10 (34:51):
We have a Texter who has a parenting question that
I think the four of us need to answer.
Speaker 4 (34:56):
And we will answer that next.
Speaker 3 (34:58):
So keep it here on real D one four point one. Hey,

Speaker 6 (35:35):
He doesn't all right, all right, don't speak ill of
the vacationer.
Speaker 5 (35:42):
I love Jim.
Speaker 10 (35:43):
We don't say anything about him when he's not here
that we wouldn't say to him.
Speaker 5 (35:46):
If he was. Okay, that's fair.
Speaker 4 (35:48):
Should that be comfortable?
Speaker 5 (35:49):
Very fair? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (35:49):
Absolutely that Ross would still say the thing about the
hair if he were sitting right there.
Speaker 5 (35:54):
I believe him.
Speaker 7 (35:55):
Oh man, radio peeps hut from a different self loathing fabric.
Speaker 3 (36:00):

Superman serum?
Speaker 7 (36:20):
Yeah, it's no, it's Captain America serum America serum.
Speaker 4 (36:24):
I'm sorry. Matt was like, get it right already.
Speaker 10 (36:27):
You could pay him a compliment without having to drag
me into it as well.
Speaker 7 (36:31):
I'm just saying, man, you're like the left side of
an Ozmpic commercial, and he's he's the right side of
the Ozampic commercial.
Speaker 6 (36:39):
Oh, I've already updated my Twitter bioy Captain America version
of Jack Bradshaw.
Speaker 4 (36:46):
The right side of the ozempic commercial.
Speaker 2 (36:48):
All right.
Speaker 3 (36:49):
So before we went to break, you guys had talked
about a parenting.
Speaker 4 (36:53):
Text that we received.
Speaker 2 (36:54):
We did and I can't find it.
Speaker 11 (36:56):
It's on a real mobile.
Speaker 2 (36:57):
Came in at three eighteen today, all right.
Speaker 11 (37:00):
It says, what would you do.
Speaker 10 (37:02):
If your kid charged the you put the F word
into a school bathroom stall?
Speaker 4 (37:09):
Oh, I take away their iPhone?
Speaker 10 (37:11):
Then she said, on my way to get my second
greater naws.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
No, you're doing a lot, right, mom. So that's what
she's joking, right, second grade is seven years old?
Speaker 8 (37:22):
Right?
Speaker 2 (37:24):
Is that?
Speaker 5 (37:24):
I think it's seven.
Speaker 2 (37:25):
Yeah, he's good at five. Wow.
Speaker 7 (37:30):
Iah brings up a good parenting topic.
Speaker 6 (37:33):
We were talking about this the other day in the newsroom.
Are you okay with your kids cussing in front of you?
Speaker 5 (37:37):
I am?
Speaker 6 (37:38):
I am an anti. I have three children. One of
my daughters is twenty. She still will not curse in
front of me. I won't curse in front of me.
Speaker 4 (37:45):
Can you guys believe that he has a twenty year
old daughter?
Speaker 16 (37:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 11 (37:49):
I can.
Speaker 5 (37:50):
Anyway, Jack, we were on we were on sixteen and pregnant.
So that's how. That's how.
Speaker 4 (37:55):
So that's that's interesting.
Speaker 3 (37:57):
Even almost you know, a drinking age still won't curse
in front of you.
Speaker 4 (38:01):
I think that's out of respect.
Speaker 5 (38:03):
Yeah, I think so.
Speaker 10 (38:04):
I like it, and I'm on board. I was uncomfortable
when I heard my daughter's curse and then they look
well and then I heard his favorite sord, Well mom does, I'm.
Speaker 2 (38:15):
Like, oh, there we go.
Speaker 10 (38:18):
Ry cooked. Yeah, checkmate. Gotta be on the same page.
And you got to have that consistency. And once that
was out, it was like, so they don't curse in
front of me as much. But occasionally I find myself
if the appropriate, if the situation warns it.
Speaker 11 (38:32):
I'm let an adult wordfly. I can't believe myself.
Speaker 4 (38:42):
That's the program director.
Speaker 2 (38:44):
I can't believe the show.
Speaker 4 (38:47):
Oh yeah, he does.
Speaker 5 (38:50):
I can't believe. I just got to witness that.
Speaker 2 (38:53):
I think I peddled a little bit.
Speaker 11 (38:58):
It was dumped.
Speaker 3 (38:59):
It was thank you, thank you because I didn't even
go for the button. I thought they're not gonna do
a double dump double dump. But how about Rod Ross?
When was the first time you can he's frozen? It'srosy, definitely.
You want to watch us on YouTube today, Real Radio,
dot FM, slash watch Ross.
Speaker 4 (39:18):
When was the first time you cursed in front of
your parents? In front of your mom?
Speaker 7 (39:23):
I we have a different relationship, so she has been
cursing in front of me basically ever since that I
can remember. Now, I wouldn't like go out of my
way to curse in front of my mom, right.
Speaker 2 (39:36):
I think we just both absorbed, or we both.
Speaker 7 (39:40):
Accepted each other's vocabulary, okay, And it wasn't ever too
bad and it wasn't ever too soft.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
It was like this weird balance. So I don't know.
Speaker 7 (39:50):
It's always I've cursed in front of my mom, and
my mom is always cursed in front of me.
Speaker 3 (39:54):
So for me, I want to say the first time
I really swore in front of my mom. We were
living in Sandy Diego and we had gone to get
a haircut, the whole family, my mom, brother, I was
probably fourteen, and when the stylist used the back of
her comb as a as a ruler to see where
(40:17):
she should cut, should have been my first indication this
is going to be a problem. I walked out with
bangs so short you couldn't curl them around a number
two pencil. Oh no, fourteen years old, brand new high school,
Southern California.
Speaker 5 (40:30):
Looking like a serial killer, Looking like.
Speaker 3 (40:31):
A serial killer, straight up ed green family right there, right.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
Rocky horror picture show.
Speaker 3 (40:37):
I looked at my mom, who was walking at me
down from the pier, and said, look at what she
did to my effing hair. And I screamed it three
or four times before she went all right, all right,
all right, all right, I get it.
Speaker 5 (40:48):
She gave me three.
Speaker 2 (40:48):
She gave me three. Yeah, she gave me three.
Speaker 3 (40:51):
But yeah, that was something that came well later in adulthood.
And now we have contests, competition.
Speaker 4 (41:00):
It is she always wins.
Speaker 7 (41:02):
That is wild that you got that bad of a
haircut and he just looks like like you were balding
kind of thing.
Speaker 10 (41:08):
It was you got a picture nose your mom?
Speaker 2 (41:13):
I doubt it.
Speaker 3 (41:13):
No pictures taken of that, absolutely not, but yeah, that
would be But I agree. You know, what do you
do though? With the second grader? What is the lesson
m there are?
Speaker 10 (41:24):
I don't believe in bad words. There are adult words
right right, there are adult words that.
Speaker 2 (41:29):
Gives you the excuse to continue to use them.
Speaker 3 (41:31):
And as long as you write the mortgage check, then
feel free to let loose with the f words.
Speaker 4 (41:35):
Is that what you'd say?
Speaker 2 (41:36):
Now?
Speaker 6 (41:37):
See, I think what Jack said is exactly right. I
think if you say it, no matter what you do,
do what I say, not what I do. Is never
works in parenting, right, I don't think that ever works?
Speaker 4 (41:48):
So because they're paying attention more than you know.
Speaker 10 (41:50):
But also beyond the curse word, it's defacing public property,
it's defacing property that is not yours.
Speaker 2 (41:56):
That's right, that issue should be dealt with it.
Speaker 3 (41:58):
So you're going to spend your sad with the scrub
brush it and you're gonna clean it, and then you're
gonna apologize and then whatever monies you have from your allowance.
If there's more repair that needs to be done from there,
then you're gonna work off that debt and then and
then we can go back to the adult word that
you used.
Speaker 4 (42:16):
Yeah, I'm right, we've solved all that.
Speaker 5 (42:18):
I think we figured out.
Speaker 2 (42:18):
I think we did.
Speaker 4 (42:19):
Absolutely.
Speaker 11 (42:20):
Can we do something about my cursing.
Speaker 2 (42:23):
A plan B as well?
Speaker 7 (42:24):
Depending on how the F is spelled, you could probably
like go back round to sharpie and then just change
it into like keeping it a book.
Speaker 5 (42:37):
So now we're getting creative. Her idea a lot better.
Speaker 6 (42:42):
When one of my kids in the house slams the door,
this is my favorite thing to do as a parent.
You make them close it super slowly and softly a
hundred times. Oh my, I sit there and watch them,
and they hate it more than anything I ever do.
Speaker 4 (43:00):
That is awesome. That is awesome.
Speaker 7 (43:02):
That's almost as bad and as goodt in a riff
raff haircut?
Speaker 2 (43:05):
Am I right?
Speaker 3 (43:08):
You shut up over there. I'm gonna use Jack's word
on you. All right, We're gonna take a little break.
Speaker 2 (43:12):
Keep it right here.
Speaker 3 (43:13):
More fun to be had on the Jim Colbert Show.
So to keep it on real Radio. One of four
point one.
Speaker 6 (43:17):
S.
Speaker 8 (43:22):
Hey, I's it o'hanna almost a weekend and tak for
you folks in the call to get them tickets through
Rossia Show. Don't miss it. Yeah, my mama, God rest
her soul. She was a second grade teacher at a
school in Seminole County and she retired in three and
you wouldn't believe some of the stories she used to
have about second graders back then. So, whether they pick
(43:42):
it up in the home or not, they're definitely hearing
it at school. And perhaps it's just an unfortunate sign
of the times with these young minds.
Speaker 7 (43:49):
Aloha aloha brought to Matt, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (43:55):
I gotta tell you though.
Speaker 3 (43:56):
Welcome back to the Jim Colbert Show on Real Radio
one oh four point one. Jim on vacation, you'll be
back with us on Monday. You've got myself, deb Jack
Say Hi, Jack Hi, Jack say Hi, Ross Hi, and
our special guest co host today, Matt Austin from News six.
Speaker 6 (44:13):
Yay, feel like I'm cheating at life today hanging out
with you guys.
Speaker 3 (44:16):
No, probably by seven o'clock you're going to be like,
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (44:19):
Why I did. That might be hating life.
Speaker 4 (44:21):
I know I'm never doing that again.
Speaker 5 (44:23):
This is great.
Speaker 4 (44:23):
So is it true?
Speaker 3 (44:24):
You really if you're If your children would slam the
doors in the house too loudly that a hundred times,
you would make them close it slowly and quietly, and
you would stand there and watch one hundred times.
Speaker 5 (44:36):
Does that make me sadistic? Yes? I would do that.
Speaker 6 (44:39):
You can call them right now. I love like, just
when they're in that terrible mood, just making them do
something they don't want to do.
Speaker 2 (44:48):
That's awesome.
Speaker 4 (44:49):
It's I think it's awesome.
Speaker 5 (44:50):
The greatest thing about being a parent.
Speaker 2 (44:52):
I think that's old school.
Speaker 4 (44:54):
Yeah, that's kicking it back old school.
Speaker 3 (44:56):
Right when the phone rang and you were having dinner,
there was no getting up and taking the phone call
and wandering off and talking to your friends.
Speaker 6 (45:03):
It was that's the other thing. No phones at the table,
no funds at the dinner table at the Austin house.
Speaker 2 (45:08):
Good call.
Speaker 5 (45:09):
Yeah, I can't handle that.
Speaker 4 (45:11):
And then you have the eyebrow go up and everything
right here.
Speaker 6 (45:14):
Yeah, you see that thing you don't want that, you
don't want that of the Austin house.
Speaker 10 (45:18):
My mom could do that that one eyebrow raise man,
that get That's when you know.
Speaker 5 (45:23):
It's like, okay, I'll show.
Speaker 3 (45:25):
Yeah, now my mom and my grandmother you and that
was my mom's warning that eyebrow would go up, and
you had t minus thirty seconds before you were going
to get an ass whooping.
Speaker 7 (45:35):
See when I try to do the eyebrow thing, I
just kind of like go a little DeNiro. It's not
I don't have a rock. I got it again?
Speaker 4 (45:44):
She does battery, looks a little gassy.
Speaker 7 (45:49):
And what I'm really trying to do is strike intimidation. Well,
it's not work.
Speaker 4 (45:53):
He's the father of a young toddler.
Speaker 7 (45:56):
You have time to get it, to work on it,
because right now I'm just straight carrot top. You hit
him with the rock, I'm flailing.
Speaker 5 (46:04):
Now you'll do great.
Speaker 4 (46:05):
How old is Miles now?
Speaker 2 (46:06):
He's a year and a half.
Speaker 4 (46:08):
Oh my goodness, like a couple of hours. Oh wow,
wait no.
Speaker 2 (46:12):
A year and a half and a couple of hours. Okay,
it's a great age. It's so much fun. He's so awesome.
Speaker 4 (46:19):
When does it change? When does it become where?
Speaker 7 (46:23):
You know?
Speaker 3 (46:23):
Because you always hear when you the side hug or mom, dad.
Speaker 6 (46:28):
Teams or is I right before the teams I think
eleven twelve. The hormones are, you know, starting bubbling up.
And I remember my first daughter the first time she
looked at me when I said something. And she had
always looked at me with like a nice little reverence,
like that's my dad. And this day she looked at
me like you're an idiot, Like I cannot believe she
(46:49):
insisted with you, but she thought it with her face,
and it hurt.
Speaker 5 (46:55):
I'm still home, man. And then they've become teenagers and
they do that all the time.
Speaker 2 (47:00):
Then you tell them the shut doors one hundred times.
Speaker 5 (47:02):
Softly, they really start to hate your guts.
Speaker 7 (47:06):
Yeah, a year and a half right now, my child
is it is magical. I'm not even gonna lie. It
is every morning magical coming home. Can't wait till I
come home because I'm gonna get hit with the daddy
and uh. And then I put them on like a
little plastic car, a little big wheels thing kind of,
and I push him around the house. He goes fast
and furious, Tokyo drift. It's a blast.
Speaker 3 (47:28):
Well, speaking of a parenthood, guess, of all things, what
is making a comeback.
Speaker 2 (47:33):
Beating corporal punish? I think soccer moms. Oh, drinking wine
and mini vans.
Speaker 3 (47:44):
You got one part of that. Rights, many vans. Many
vans are making a comeback.
Speaker 2 (47:51):
Now.
Speaker 3 (47:51):
What's interesting is that, though formerly associated with soccer moms,
this time around, experts say middle aged men are driving
the change behind the reemergence.
Speaker 7 (48:02):
Oh wait till the Tate brothers hear about that, Wait
till they wait till the main sphere hears about who's
snapping up all the many vans.
Speaker 4 (48:12):
You're not going to be happy about that.
Speaker 3 (48:17):
Well, a lot of it apparently has to do with
the cost factor, right, So mini vans are now being
rebranded as lifestyle vehicles.
Speaker 4 (48:28):
No, not a fan.
Speaker 5 (48:29):
That's not doing it for me.
Speaker 3 (48:31):
When New Jersey dealership owners said the vans provide additional utility. However,
the shift is also about economics, all right. Data at
Edmunds shows a full size SUV averages just over how
much money. Again, this is full size SUV.
Speaker 6 (48:48):
Seventy grand I was going to go sixty, I'll go
fifty five.
Speaker 3 (48:53):
Actually, points Matt, only seven thousand away. They average over
seventy seven thousand dollars, while evan costs approximately how much money?
Speaker 5 (49:02):
A little forty five? Yeah, I was gonna say forty,
I'll go half.
Speaker 2 (49:08):
Of your integrity.
Speaker 7 (49:09):
No, yeah, I'll go, I'll go forty.
Speaker 3 (49:15):
Actually, points Jack, you're the closest forty eight thousand dollars. So,
I mean that's a huge difference.
Speaker 5 (49:21):
It is. And they get better gas mile they.
Speaker 3 (49:23):
Do get get better gas miles. And I have to say,
if you are going to get one, just leave it alone.
Don't put rims on it. Oh no, don't drop it.
Don't put the kneon under it. Yes, And then they
drive it with the one hand over the steering wheel
and they lean over the side, and it's like, you're
not a homie in that homie.
Speaker 6 (49:43):
You lose all street you lose all street cred when
your door goes like this, You're not cool.
Speaker 2 (49:50):
I'll tell you.
Speaker 7 (49:51):
I'll tell you what is anti street cred is when
you're still paying off the car and like all of
your money and value is wrapped up.
Speaker 2 (49:59):
In one car. Are but you're like, my wheels.
Speaker 7 (50:01):
Are shiny, right exactly, Like that's that's not the look
you want. You don't want to get into a car
accident and be like, well, I gotta.
Speaker 2 (50:09):
Move into the mini van.
Speaker 4 (50:13):
Yeah, into the mini van.
Speaker 2 (50:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (50:15):
So I thought that was interesting.
Speaker 3 (50:17):
Matt Austin does not look convinced, nor I don't think
we could get you into a minivan.
Speaker 5 (50:21):
Could be No, I'm not a minivan guy.
Speaker 6 (50:23):
No, I know I'd I'd rather cram the kids into
the back of my truck than the picked up.
Speaker 4 (50:28):
Bed or inside the actual vehicle.
Speaker 5 (50:30):
We'll go inside if there's room.
Speaker 2 (50:32):
Damn.
Speaker 10 (50:32):
But but you talk about cutting down costs, and that's
the what's really driving this is it's a cheaper vehicle.
It is Uh, Matt drives a truck, yet it doesn't
have to pay for gas.
Speaker 5 (50:46):
This is true.
Speaker 2 (50:48):
I got a little electric.
Speaker 5 (50:49):
I got a Chevy EV truck.
Speaker 3 (50:51):
I heard those things can go fast. I think my
neighbor has one like that.
Speaker 6 (50:55):
They're faster than any gas truck you can get. They
are freebody. I know who has a truck pays one
hundred and thirty bucks every time they have to put
gas in that thing or dieseld forbid And I charge
at the news station.
Speaker 5 (51:11):
They have an electric charger at the news stage.
Speaker 2 (51:13):
Hey, you're there for eight hours.
Speaker 5 (51:15):
A beautiful thing.
Speaker 2 (51:16):
That's my favorite life hack moment right there.
Speaker 4 (51:18):
Yeah. See, I like this parenting hack.
Speaker 3 (51:20):
You like the life hack and just charging your vehicle
while you're at work.
Speaker 4 (51:23):
Anyway, I mean, why not.
Speaker 7 (51:24):
Question when you got the Chevy EV, which, first of all,
what a blast to say. Did they in fact, that's
my question. Did Chevy make use of the fact that
they have EV in the word Chevy and then like
on a marketing ploy they do?
Speaker 6 (51:41):
Actually, when you look on the back of Silverado, right,
I think there's they did something with the EVE.
Speaker 5 (51:47):
All right, it's a different.
Speaker 7 (51:48):
Color because if not, if you were going to say no,
I was about to send them an email, nobody wants
to ye.
Speaker 2 (51:56):
You're missing an opportunity here. You got Chevy e V
EV Chevy.
Speaker 7 (52:02):
I'm just saying, I'll see you Jack, Okay.
Speaker 4 (52:05):
I bet you can't wait, right Jack?
Speaker 2 (52:07):
Loop in on that?
Speaker 3 (52:08):
Yeah, definitely get on that. So wow, Okay an EV
pickup truck? Yeah, yeah, you definitely are not crying right
now with gas prices. It's the same with both Ross
and Jack. They drive hybrids.
Speaker 7 (52:17):
Yeah, but you got you got full EV and it's
a truck, which is probably the most unifying vehicle in
the country. An electric truck is like, I don't know
where this guy's going.
Speaker 5 (52:32):
Exactly. You can't hate me. You cannot you.
Speaker 2 (52:35):
Win, you win both sides exactly.
Speaker 10 (52:37):
They're waiting for you to pass to see what stickers
they have to reveal something about you.
Speaker 6 (52:43):
You know.
Speaker 3 (52:44):
That's the best reason to not put stickers on the
back of your car.
Speaker 4 (52:47):
Is just so what do you think?
Speaker 5 (52:48):
Yeah, you have to ask me exactly, that's the deal.
Speaker 3 (52:51):
Oh and then you actually have to listen after I
tell you what concept that's.
Speaker 2 (52:55):
What I want.
Speaker 7 (52:56):
I want to totally electric truck with a don't tread
on me sticker next to my Bernie sticker, just so
everyone is just radically confused on.
Speaker 2 (53:06):
Wherever I go.
Speaker 4 (53:08):
I think they already are yes.
Speaker 7 (53:10):
And then I'll have I'll have Calvin in my in
my windshield. Also like peing on something, you know.
Speaker 5 (53:16):
What happened to the peeing on something? Stick Those were.
Speaker 7 (53:19):
Everywhere classic, right, I mean, what a way to say
proud of your uh, your your honor roll student.
Speaker 2 (53:28):
Don't do that to f SU. It's always like college team.
Speaker 3 (53:33):
Or Chevy versus Ford, or Ford versus Chevy. It's always
an interesting way of making your mark in the world marketing. Well, well,
Ross does that. We're gonna go ahead and take a
little break. But keep it right here, because we'll be
back with more of the Jim Colbert Show on Real
Radio one A four point one.
Speaker 1 (53:50):
Today is Cooler Huler with Ross Paget, presented by mills Air.
Turn to the experts at Carrier and turn to the
experts at Millsair dot com.
Speaker 16 (53:58):
That's well, hey, Jack Bradshaw, you're a Yankee fan. Hey man,
I missed your birthday, so I'm calling today to say, Hey, Matt.
Speaker 11 (54:11):
I'm glad you're on the show, buddy.
Speaker 5 (54:13):
I hope you have a good time.
Speaker 2 (54:15):
Uh, thank you.
Speaker 4 (54:18):
I was confused by that too, so let me just
say it for him.
Speaker 3 (54:21):
Happy belated birthday, Jack, not enough, thank you very much.
And Matt, we're so glad you could join us today.
Speaker 5 (54:27):
Oh sorry, I'm so glad to be here. I'm having
the best time.
Speaker 2 (54:30):
Well it's good.
Speaker 4 (54:30):
I mean you played hooky and everything to join us today.
Speaker 5 (54:33):
I feel like I'm cheating.
Speaker 10 (54:35):
We're also getting text messages in for Matt, and this
one was a question that maybe he can answer. All right,
I'll just have to find it because just like the
US mail, it keeps time coming.
Speaker 3 (54:46):
Oh wow, Uh, we are getting a lot of text
messages about.
Speaker 11 (54:49):
You, man.
Speaker 5 (54:50):
It keeps on coming in.
Speaker 12 (54:51):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (54:53):
No, it's great.
Speaker 10 (54:54):
No, they love you, Matt, they love you, but but
they also want they have questions about New six and
one was do you know ever scruffy James Barvaro shaved
his beard because of the new Mario Brothers movie because
s Bavaro looks like Mario. Now, now he is one
of your community correspondents, right.
Speaker 6 (55:15):
Yeah, So James handles Brevard County for us. So we
have this thing that no other station does. We have
these community correspondents and you cover the area in which
you live.
Speaker 2 (55:25):
You know, I love it.
Speaker 6 (55:26):
You had to cover Palm Bay or you know, somewhere
out in Brevard County, it would be a struggle because
you don't really know what goes on. So our community
correspondents they live there, and we're building the biggest reporter
team of anybody in this whole central Florida area. So
very excited about that. But James Barvaro is this. If
you've never seen him, he is a mountain of a man. Right,
(55:47):
I have it in my contract I will not stand
next to him on television. He is six' five every
bit of two forty and he started doing something THAT
i genuinely do not approve Of, okay his facial hair is.
Crazy his hair looks like it's got this kind Of
beethoven esque curl about it THAT i think is just.
(56:08):
Natural and the mustache is getting. Huge, yeah, YEAH i
don't know why he's doing. IT i have, asked and,
UH i don't get to see him very often because
he is out on his island In Brevard. County So
i'll let him know THAT i was on the radio
and people were asking me about.
Speaker 3 (56:21):
It is he a hockey fan, maybe and that's why
he's not cutting the.
Speaker 10 (56:24):
Hair harriet YouTube Real radio DOT fm slush. Watch you
can see like his official like new six picture which
is all clean cut.
Speaker 11 (56:35):
Right, right and you can see the scruff coming in
on this.
Speaker 10 (56:38):
One, oh if we go to this, VIDEO i think
this is all closer to what he looks like now if.
Speaker 5 (56:43):
You ever see him out On, yeah look at. That
that's it's worse right, now, actually is it?
Speaker 17 (56:47):
Really?
Speaker 5 (56:48):
Yeah and he'll jack.
Speaker 4 (56:49):
Careful we can't get, Bounced, yeah we.
Speaker 11 (56:53):
Don't we can't get.
Speaker 6 (56:55):
Bounced, well he is a, big beautiful. Man he's great
at being A unity. Correspondent he's a fantastic. Reporter he's
been there a long, time BUT i don't know what
he's doing with his facial.
Speaker 10 (57:04):
Hair but that's really cool how they live in the
community where they're.
Speaker 6 (57:09):
Reporting, yeah that is, different and that is something that
we've started doing in the last year AND i think
it's paid. Dividends it gives us stories that nobody else,
Has so we're really trying to do things that nobody else.
Does we started this three o'clock show as, well where
there's no. Teleprompter it's more like this with a lot of.
Speaker 4 (57:28):
News what are you trying to compete with The Jim Bilbert.
Speaker 7 (57:30):
Show we can't compete With Jim colbert's, show but especially
When gym's not, here.
Speaker 5 (57:37):
It's the perfect.
Speaker 6 (57:37):
Time but, no we were trying some different, things trying
to give people a little. News it just seems like
people want some different options out there. Now instead of
teleprompter and flashy. Sets we're in the. Newsroom we're spontaneous
and just you, know trying to give people the news
in a different.
Speaker 3 (57:56):
Way it's funny you say that because authenticity is becoming like.
Speaker 4 (58:00):
The word of the.
Speaker 3 (58:02):
Industry you AND i were talking before the show started
and the ability who would have thought making a mistake
on the air would, actually you know ingratiate you to your,
audience because then they know it's NOT ai.
Speaker 4 (58:14):
Generated it's.
Speaker 3 (58:15):
Not they're real people behind the, camera real people in
front of the, camera with real human, conversation and none
of IT'S ai.
Speaker 10 (58:23):
Generated it seems like in the, past, though you'd be
a reporter and then the goal was to get behind
the desk in studio and never, leave especially for the
pretty boys like.
Speaker 2 (58:32):
Yourself, however see he sees, it he's just.
Speaker 10 (58:39):
Jelly yesterday you were standing in quicksand, yes what is this?
Speaker 5 (58:43):
DEAL i, okay, yeah that's the other.
Speaker 6 (58:46):
Thing you're not going to find other anchors in the
market who go out as much as we. Do we're
out every. Week you'll find. Us and just YESTERDAY i
had a story. AIRED a farmer WHO i know called
me and he contacted me On facebook and he, said
this crazy things happening with the drought In. Florida my
retention pond is gone and what's left behind is. This
he called it quicksand this muck and he had. Video
(59:09):
if you go a Click orlando dot com you can see.
It there's a sheep and a, goat in the same
day that gets stuck in this nasty, muck and AFTER
i got in, it he was kind enough to tell
me that it's probably about seventy percent. FECES i was
waiting in the do, Doo, YES i, Was but that's
(59:31):
What i'll do for our viewers On.
Speaker 2 (59:34):
So you're Like Mike rowe but without the. Budget that is,
very very.
Speaker 5 (59:40):
True SO i was out. There but it's an interesting you.
Speaker 6 (59:42):
KNOW i love stories like that where, look everybody's talking
about the drought and how we need more, rain but
this is, woodland creatures possibly dying if nobody's, watching if
deer we're running through, there how on.
Speaker 2 (59:54):
A big farm to help the goat in the.
Speaker 6 (59:56):
Sheep so the goat in the sheep got, Out, okay
we had video of them getting.
Speaker 5 (59:59):
RESCUED i barely made it out, alive BUT i.
Speaker 7 (01:00:01):
Did, yeah dead doesn't care about that last. Part she
only really cared about the. Animals it's her go to.
Move yeah did you hear that that octave?
Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
Drop did the animals make it?
Speaker 5 (01:00:13):
Up? YEAH i don't care about.
Speaker 2 (01:00:15):
You, WELL i MEAN i. Do. Now you were going
to make it here, TODAY.
Speaker 3 (01:00:23):
I mean we we didn't want to scramble at the
last minute find or another, replacement.
Speaker 5 (01:00:27):
Less time to.
Speaker 7 (01:00:27):
Fill BUT i love, that you, know you know that
news just, authentic being authentic in front of maybe no
teleprompters and kind of showing giving you guys the opportunity
to be, yourselves which them kind of grows this organic likability.
Speaker 2 (01:00:44):
OPPORTUNITY i don't know that try, authenticity, authenticity you. MAN
i just gave a.
Speaker 11 (01:00:51):
Wet a.
Speaker 7 (01:00:52):
BELL i was about to ask for a, job and
THEN i couldn't say. Authenticity So i'm just gonna.
Speaker 3 (01:00:56):
Not BUT i have to give you guys credit because
it seems like when your competitors are getting rid of
those satellite, reporters those satellite. Offices you, know someone who
lives out In Mount dora In Lake, county someone coming
in From orlando may not be aware of the inter you,
know the. INTRICACIES i got, It, JACK i got.
Speaker 5 (01:01:17):

Speaker 3 (01:01:17):
You SO i appreciate you guys recognizing that having someone
from their own community report on their.
Speaker 10 (01:01:25):
Community, yeah but Poor James barvaro doesn't he paid enough
to be able to cut his.
Speaker 11 (01:01:28):
Hair that's why it's.
Speaker 3 (01:01:29):
Long he's just trying to fit in with the rest
of the surfers out In Bravar.
Speaker 5 (01:01:33):
Exactly he's fitting in with people.
Speaker 2 (01:01:36):
Uncover that's what it is in the, community.
Speaker 5 (01:01:39):
Exactly it can't be. Undercover he's a giant's.
Speaker 3 (01:01:43):
Bid but, again name another news anchor that you know
of in town who'd go and wade through seventy?
Speaker 4 (01:01:48):
Percent do do?
Speaker 5 (01:01:49):
Much thank? You well very.
Speaker 6 (01:01:51):
Much, yeah we we're trying things. Different and let me tell,
YOU i love the. Place and while a lot of
places are, contracting like you, said, right, yeah cutting, staff
we are adding staff AND.
Speaker 5 (01:02:03):
I think it's going.
Speaker 6 (01:02:04):
Well we have the biggest investigative team as well in the,
market which for my, money investigative, stories that is what
changes the game in local.
Speaker 5 (01:02:12):
News that's what sets us.
Speaker 3 (01:02:13):
Apart that's WHAT i thought WHEN i, again you, know
WHEN i was reading up on you and WHEN i
read about the investigative reporting and the three year investigation
where you.
Speaker 4 (01:02:22):
Won is it the spirit Of? America?
Speaker 5 (01:02:24):
Ward, yes, yes it's the service To, america.
Speaker 6 (01:02:27):
Service To, america old eagle thing THAT i really don't,
deserve But i'll take.
Speaker 3 (01:02:31):
It after a three year investigation into texting and, driving of,
course after your own near catastrophic accident leading that charge
and then the other STORY i really want to talk
about lately or later on is is what you found
in your investigative reporting when it comes to the insurance
crisis in this. State because we're about to have a
personal injury, Attorney Glenn clausman in who can speak to
(01:02:52):
how it's happening in the auto insurance. Industry But floridians
are also getting squeezed by our homeowner's.
Speaker 5 (01:02:57):
Insurance is there any place they're not getting squeeze right?
Speaker 2 (01:03:00):
NOW i feel like, that but homeowners and, sure, YEAH i.
Speaker 6 (01:03:04):
Mean you hear you Hear governor De santis out there
saying we shouldn't be paying property taxes because you're paying
rent to the. Government but everybody's paying more and more
when it comes to property. Insurance, yes this is going
higher and. Higher everybody has seen their rates. Rise and
then you get these crazy things in the mail as,
well that'll, say, oh your roof is eight years, Old
we're going to drop you if you don't buy a
(01:03:26):
new thirty thousand dollars. Roof so it's, like how are
people eating all of this money right? Now and what
are lawmakers doing? About and it was the craziest thing
to me when this legislative session started and they, ASKED
i forget if it was The speaker of The, House Daniel,
perez one of that higher, Ups, hey what are you
going to do about property?
Speaker 5 (01:03:43):
Insurance he's, like we fix, it, Guys it's all.
Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
Good.
Speaker 3 (01:03:47):
Noor and then again to talk about eliminating property. Taxes you,
know it sounds really good on the front, end but
all that really means is that that cost is going
to end up being shifted. Elsewhere and we really do
have a lot of small, municipalities small cities and towns
in the state Of florida that simply do not have
the tax base to be able to fulfill those services of, fire, rescue,
(01:04:09):
police nine one, one, rhads parks and. Service SO i
really wish they would get away from these this kind
of legislative kind of slogan stuff where they can just
go back to their constituents and, say look WHAT i,
did vote for, me when in reality it offers no
relief to the people who are living.
Speaker 5 (01:04:26):
Here, YEAH i THINK i think it sounds great as
a SAYING i don't want to pay.
Speaker 2 (01:04:30):
Products it sounds.
Speaker 6 (01:04:32):
Great that sounds wonderful to, Me but when you ACTUALLY
i did a story with The republican seminole tax collector
about property, taxes and he's just he's, LIKE i don't
know what we're going to. DO i don't know how
we're going to pay for anything if they cut.
Speaker 5 (01:04:47):
This so there's that first.
Speaker 6 (01:04:48):
Layer sounds really, good but then once you get to
the second or third, layer it's. Worries people are worried
about how they're gonna make it. Happen BUT i will tell,
YOU i think if it makes it all the ballot In,
november if The republicans do come up up with something
that says property taxes will go, DOWN i think people
will vote for.
Speaker 5 (01:05:04):
It AND i think it.
Speaker 4 (01:05:04):
All without a, doubt without a.
Speaker 2 (01:05:06):
DOUBT i like having a fire. DEPARTMENT i love having a.
Speaker 3 (01:05:09):
Department And i'm getting ready to marry someone who works
in you, know city. GOVERNMENT i mean that could affect
our ability to even afford our own. Home but speaking
Of Attorney Glenn, clausman we're going to take a quick.
Break we'll be back to Do Culprit. Court so keep
it here On Real radio ONE a four point.
Speaker 18 (01:05:23):
One WHEN i was, YOUNGER i would come home and
throw my jacket on the. Floor if my mom saw
me she would make me pick the jacket up and
hang it over the. Chair then she would make me
(01:05:43):
do it another forty nine times and count off each
one until it was. Done kind of got to miss
those old days and growing up.
Speaker 5 (01:05:53):
Properly something.
Speaker 2 (01:05:56):
Good, LORD i don't know what that sound was on,
it like.
Speaker 4 (01:06:00):
The dinosaur on the back seat woke.
Speaker 2 (01:06:02):
Up he's got his own sound effects he.
Speaker 3 (01:06:04):
Does but, LISTEN i know that talkback just made our
special guest co host today extra happy Hearing matt and
that would be One Matt austin From new.
Speaker 4 (01:06:13):

Speaker 5 (01:06:16):
GUYS i love. That that was, amazing isn't that?
Speaker 3 (01:06:18):
COOL i knew the dad who would make his kid
you close the door one hundred times in a, row
would appreciate someone having to hang their jacket forty nine
times and sound it. Off welcome back to The Jim Colbert.
Show jim still on his. Vacation he'll be back with

Speaker 1 (01:06:39):
Court when you are listening to is, real well sort.
Of the participants are not actors as a. Fact this, is,
however a real case that will be decided here in
our forum Noted Colbert.
Speaker 2 (01:06:52):
Court put your.
Speaker 4 (01:06:53):
Hands together for personal injury Attorney Glenn.
Speaker 2 (01:06:55):
Klausman to get. Small oh we, know, well faticus is.
Speaker 16 (01:07:02):
Here, ye.
Speaker 2 (01:07:02):
Faticus it was boln heel you heard that, Right?
Speaker 4 (01:07:05):
Glenn how you doing doing?
Speaker 9 (01:07:06):
Great good to see.
Speaker 4 (01:07:07):
All good to see you as. Well having a good
week so.
Speaker 9 (01:07:09):
Far i'm, busy, busy thank.
Speaker 4 (01:07:10):
Goodness, yeah, busy out of.
Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
TROUBLE i bet, SO i bet.
Speaker 4 (01:07:15):
SO i.
Speaker 3 (01:07:16):
Know usually what we do On Colbert, court if you're
new to the, Program Every, Thursday glenn generally brings us
a case that either he or maybe another personal injury
attorney is working on or has, resolved and then we
fill in the place of attorneys and decide what we
would do for a. Case but we're going to switch
it up a little bit, Today, glenn aren't We.
Speaker 9 (01:07:33):
Yes, YES i thought this would be pretty.
Speaker 3 (01:07:35):
Interesting, okay so what do you have for us today
instead of the?
Speaker 9 (01:07:38):
Case, well you, know it's kind of a spin off
on some of the Cases i'm dealing, with right now
when folks have brain injuries and all the symptoms and
consequences of a brain, INJURY i, mean we know about
a lot of. Them and you, know if you want
to go around the room and talk about someone that
you know, of like memory, loss.
Speaker 3 (01:07:56):
And, yeah let's see what people would think of for brain.
Injury because you read just a little bit of the
headline before we went on the, air AND i know
it Shocked Matt austin to hear that that could be
considered a. Symptom so you mentioned memory, Loss, jack what
would you say a symptom of a concussion or brain
injury would.
Speaker 11 (01:08:12):
Be memory loss.
Speaker 9 (01:08:16):
And not what you heard a minute, Ago.
Speaker 4 (01:08:18):
So this would be long term memory, loss.
Speaker 11 (01:08:21):
Short term memory?
Speaker 9 (01:08:23):
Loss?
Speaker 3 (01:08:25):
Ross what would are, sorry, faticus what would be your
symptom of a brain?
Speaker 7 (01:08:29):
INJURY i would, say here we go taking a long
times to, communicate slowed.
Speaker 9 (01:08:38):
Speech, absolutely that's absolutely. Right one of the interesting things
is the retrieve button that you get that gets respected
in your. Brain you can't you, know you've got something
in or you want to, say but it doesn't come,
out or or it comes out not the way you
wanted to come.
Speaker 3 (01:08:53):
Out all, Right, matt what would you say. One another
symptom of concussion or brain injury would.
Speaker 6 (01:08:57):
BE i got a brain injury one time by a texting,
driver and the there was football on that weekend THAT
i was very excited to. Watch and the doctor, said
there's not a chance you're going to watch, That AND
i was, like, yeah, right bright, LIGHTS i could. NOT
i had to be in a dark room for seven straight.
Speaker 3 (01:09:14):
Days, Wow, OKAY i did not expect that. ONE i
was going to, say, so we have memory, loss memory,
loss memory, loss slow, speaking bright, lights, headaches.
Speaker 9 (01:09:26):
Headaches head aches absolutely another. One sensitivity just to the
loud noises is another.
Speaker 5 (01:09:30):
One.
Speaker 9 (01:09:31):
Uh sometimes people lose the sense of taste and.
Speaker 4 (01:09:34):
Smell really from an, accident.
Speaker 9 (01:09:36):
From from from the concussion and the brain. Injury so
about your balance balance balance is another one that happens
all the.
Speaker 3 (01:09:42):
Time, now real, quick back to taste and. Smell did
those come back after the brain swelling goes?
Speaker 5 (01:09:46):
Down?
Speaker 9 (01:09:46):
Sometimes sometimes? Not it depends, on you, know just exactly
what's happening inside the.
Speaker 5 (01:09:52):
Brain, Yeah i'll never forget.
Speaker 7 (01:09:53):
It my partner hit me in the head one time
AND i all of a Sudden benianas thought of tasting like.
Speaker 2 (01:09:59):
Raspberry what happened?
Speaker 7 (01:10:01):
Next twenty TWENTY covid bone plot twist got my taste?
Speaker 2 (01:10:04):
Back all?
Speaker 9 (01:10:06):
Right oh my. God other ones are lack of, focus.
Speaker 5 (01:10:12):
Which we would be, appropriate, right feel LIKE i just
got a.
Speaker 9 (01:10:14):
Brain lack of, focus SO i.
Speaker 4 (01:10:16):
Feel Like i'm going to give him a brain. Injury
he does that.
Speaker 2 (01:10:19):
Again lack of lack of.
Speaker 4 (01:10:21):
Concentration, god, man that was that was.
Speaker 7 (01:10:24):
Hard it was, bananas as.
Speaker 2 (01:10:28):
You, know shut that. OFF i think it was all.
Right the monk was all all.
Speaker 4 (01:10:33):
Right so what are some more?
Speaker 9 (01:10:35):
Well fine hand. Coordination people have problems doing, puzzles. Multitasking
you start on one thing and you go away and
you can't come back to what you started. On lack
of concentration and. Focus we talked about. Anxiety there is another.
One panic attacks to another. One but what was. Interesting
impulsivity is something that comes with it. Also and there's
an ARTICLE i found in psychology. Today it's called brain
(01:10:59):
trauma can cause compulsive sexual desires and it's a very
interesting article and maybe If jack wants to post, that
we can do that later. On but it talks about
a lady Named there's no videos there or photos. Here
nah Wish, yes. Yes it talks about a couple of
different case. Studies one alyssa eighteen years, old suffered brain
(01:11:22):
injury in a car. ACCIDENT a brain bleed is what
she actually, had and she had damage to the frontal,
lobe which governs executive, functioning the capacity for self, control, foresight, attention, reasoning.
Speaker 3 (01:11:35):
Impulsivity so that could be an area of your head
that you would maybe slam up against the steering wheel
if you're in that kind of a, wreck or would
that from the force of the air. Bag would that
be enough to give you a frontal lobe.
Speaker 5 (01:11:47):
Yes.
Speaker 9 (01:11:47):
Yes and also even though what we call contract coup
when there's a rear end, collision for, instance the brain
will bounce backwards and forwards in the inside the, skull
and inside the skull it's not. Smooth it can bounce
up against something that's going to tear part of the
brain tissue and cause a brain. Bleed and this particular
lady had a problem where she became what's called. Hypersexual
(01:12:13):
she went from a typical eighteen year old who was
someone who had constantly had obsessive thoughts about. Sex the
article talks about she felt as if she had no
reason to live if she could not find a sex,
partner and she created an outlet for those urges by
becoming a professional dominatrix selling videos of. Herself but she
(01:12:33):
was not enjoying. This she was merely trying to cope
with the brain injury that was causing.
Speaker 3 (01:12:40):
Us so what's fascinating with, This, glenn is that that
is not what it would be considered quote unquote a
normal symptom that you would expect to see after an,
accident seming a.
Speaker 10 (01:12:51):
Dominatrix, yeah, yeah is that how you got your?
Speaker 3 (01:12:54):
Start, well my story is a little, Different Frenda. Bendall,
now was this a high speed? Crash does it even
need to be a high speed?
Speaker 9 (01:13:02):
Instus it just it has to be a crash that
causes some damage to the, brain which would be having
the brains bounce inside the skull of, head being jerked
back and, forth having a blow to the. Head those
types of things can cause a brain, injury a concussion
and a brain. Injury we know. Concussions there's a lot
of causes for, those and in car, accidents they happen
(01:13:22):
and if they don't, resolve you can end up with
what's called a traumatic brain. Injury that sticks with you.
Speaker 3 (01:13:27):
Forever and What i've heard of this symptom specifically like
with brain, cancer sometimes With parkinson's. Disease i've never heard
it attributed to a car. Accident so how would a
victim of a car accident be able to correlate this
new behavioral need sexual?
Speaker 2 (01:13:45):
Odyssey?
Speaker 3 (01:13:46):
Exactly to back to the car accident before you end
up doing too much? Damage, right you become a sex.
Addict the next thing you, know you're a lot.
Speaker 10 (01:13:54):
Lizard, yeah well or killing you not only, fans you
Know matt Like.
Speaker 5 (01:14:00):
Lot i've done a story on, That.
Speaker 9 (01:14:01):
Lozards you know you're having some of these other type
symptoms we've talked, about you, know the balance, problems the.
Headaches even diagnosed with a, concussion hopefully you'll get AN
mri that is the type OF mri that will be
able to document the extent of your brain. Injury it's
not just a normal BRAIN. Mri there's extra software that
they used to that's evolved into where we are today
(01:14:24):
that helps diagnose and pinpoint the brain. Injuries there's another
one more little short squab about in this article talks About,
heather married with, children became obsessed with, sex while she
was hospitalized after a brain injury from a car, accident
asking her husband to have sex in the bathroom. There,
afterwards she'd blatantly propositioned, men having sex with around ten
(01:14:45):
men and inappropriately acting with around fifty. Others she was
seemingly unaware that anything was improper about our. Behavior AND
i mean it's you, know it's just something that can
happen with a brain. Injury it's got to do with
the not only impulsive and not having the executive function
to use the filters that we, have losing those and
(01:15:08):
causing these. Problems you, know another thing we see with brain, injury,
folks is a change in. Personality, yes if their loved
ones can talk about how they were before the, crash
how they were after the, crash it's just things that
happen with the brain.
Speaker 3 (01:15:21):
Injury, so and those are the things that when you
go into a courtroom and you're fighting for someone's loss
of enjoyment of, life these are the things that you're speaking,
of right.
Speaker 9 (01:15:32):
Absolutely how the life has changed in an. Instant this
person's life has changed.
Speaker 3 (01:15:37):
Forever and we always expect it to, be, oh you've
lost a limb or you're badly. Burned it always we
attribute that to being able to see the injury and
the aftermath of.
Speaker 10 (01:15:48):
It so, yeah back To Matt, austin, who, hey don't
bring this.
Speaker 5 (01:15:52):
Back to me correct a different brain? Injury?
Speaker 2 (01:15:55):
Injury how did that affect your sex?
Speaker 6 (01:15:57):
Life come on exactly where you were, Going and that's what. Happened,
man EVERYTHING i didn't have to sue. Anybody everything's just
working just.
Speaker 5 (01:16:06):
Fine BUT i.
Speaker 10 (01:16:07):
Did did you have any love lasting effects? Though from
it was a severe? Concussion it was a severe.
Speaker 6 (01:16:13):
Concussion, fortunately after about two three, WEEKS i was pretty
much back as, normal, really BUT i was, Curious, okay
if you were the attorney on the other, side how
would you defend your client in that?
Speaker 5 (01:16:26):
Case wouldn't?
Speaker 6 (01:16:27):
You couldn't you just make the, Case, hey well you're
having a better.
Speaker 5 (01:16:31):
Time you know your your sex life is, better couldn't.
Speaker 9 (01:16:34):
You it's it's the lack of u uh control, yourself
lack of self, control the. Impulsivity it's from the other
side of. It that's not just one of the. Problems
it's it's it's it's going to be a problem for
somebody's whole life if they have if they have this
hyper sexual, problem and there is treatment for. It and
both these, cases The Psychology today article talks about they
(01:16:57):
are on medications and getting treatment and getting better as
far as that particular symptom that went with a brain.
Speaker 3 (01:17:03):
Injury so if you or someone you loved to have
suffered from a car, accident and maybe the broken bone is,
healed the muscle, tear, whatever but you continue to notice
things that just make you, say that's just not something
they would.
Speaker 5 (01:17:16):
Do, yeah that's.
Speaker 7 (01:17:17):
DIFFERENT i REMEMBER i got into a t bone, accident
and now all of a, Sudden i'm into hot.
Speaker 2 (01:17:22):
Wax hot.
Speaker 9 (01:17:25):
Wax it's a.
Speaker 2 (01:17:26):
Thing don't look it.
Speaker 10 (01:17:28):
Up we have a textter who said it actually could
work the other. Way they said their brother got A
tbi traumatic brain injury from taking a softball to the
face at a company. Event they took care of him
after they got a lawyer. Involved, right but he said
he used to be a jerk before, that and after
he turned into kind of a chill.
Speaker 9 (01:17:47):
Dude, yeah change your.
Speaker 3 (01:17:48):
Personalities i've heard of people waking up from a traumatic
brain injury speaking a language that they were never taught to,
speak painting when they never went to an art. Class
how DOES i Mean it just goes to show the
human brain is just continues to be one of the
biggest mysteries that we deal.
Speaker 9 (01:18:03):
With it's amazing that there's so many great articles about
stuff that's going on in science is progressing very fast
and being able to diagnose pinpoint and try to treat these.
Speaker 4 (01:18:12):
Problems now have you run into this in your own?
Speaker 13 (01:18:14):
Practice, yes, yes, absolutely really, absolutely the sex, part, yes,
yes the loss of loss of self, control, impulsivity, yeah,
yeah it's uh it's it.
Speaker 4 (01:18:27):
Happens was there an exasperated spouse, like.
Speaker 9 (01:18:30):
No not in that?
Speaker 5 (01:18:31):
Case, no are we breaking client?
Speaker 9 (01:18:34):
Privilege you, Know i'm not talking about any particular, person
but you Know i've seen it in the, case and uh.
Speaker 2 (01:18:40):
It was me our Roadmark. Hall Now i'm Into korean.
Speaker 9 (01:18:43):
Stuff uh, no it wasn't. You and it Wasn't olivia,
either WHO i. Represented she's Into korean.
Speaker 7 (01:18:50):
Stuff, yeah she will be after this. Segment, yeah, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:18:55):
I'm so.
Speaker 19 (01:18:56):
Sorry CAN i say Watching glenn react to all of
these comments over here is my favorite part of the,
Show so thank you very.
Speaker 5 (01:19:10):
The.
Speaker 2 (01:19:11):
Best but we're also.
Speaker 5 (01:19:12):
Waiting.
Speaker 10 (01:19:13):

Speaker 12 (01:19:17):
Yet.
Speaker 2 (01:19:18):
Glenn this entire.
Speaker 7 (01:19:19):
Story it kind of reminds me of a little FILM
i like to Call Donny.
Speaker 2 (01:19:23):
Darko have you ever seen?
Speaker 9 (01:19:24):
IT i have never seen any of the movies you brought.
Speaker 7 (01:19:28):
Up go, ahead whether it Be Snow dogs Or Tokyo
drift or Even Donny darko in this instance where it's
a multiple. Dimension but look at, Me, matt there's NOTHING
i can. Do we just gotta let them. Know, donnie
who has a normal, life also has a verious dark
and sad. One it's like, this but instead of dark and,
sad it is Horn, dog Horn, dog Horn dog Dark.
Speaker 5 (01:19:51):
O all, right we got, there.
Speaker 2 (01:19:54):
SO i think these people were.
Speaker 9 (01:19:56):
Sure all?
Speaker 10 (01:19:57):
Right the challenge, is really it's no one likes to
not be in, control and suddenly you find yourself unable
to lead the life you used to have because of
a lack of. Control and is my, word is there
therapy or what do you? DO i, mean obviously you're
trying to get, them you, know the settlement you can
(01:20:18):
to help them in the. Situation but treatment, wise is
it can anything be done about?
Speaker 5 (01:20:24):
That?
Speaker 9 (01:20:24):
Yes, yes there's brain injury rehabilitation programs that help people
with all different types of. Symptoms coming from brain. Injury
there's some good ones that are not too far. Away
some of them are in patient for a, while others
are just continuing out patient, treatment and we're learning more
and more all the. Time at one, point we had
a doctor in here that actually talked about that about
(01:20:44):
six months, ago contesting different kind Of, yeah there's stuff
happening all the, time and it's all cutting.
Speaker 3 (01:20:49):
Edge and so with the client that had, THIS i,
mean did they just come to you after a while and,
SAY i just noticed that my behavior is. Changing because
the fascinating thing to me is that as we look
at injury and expect to see physical, INJURY i don't
know how easy it is for folks to. Correlate, MAN
i never used to do this before the. Accident maybe
it's the. Accident it's so much easier for just to
(01:21:11):
assume it's a behavioralal it's my attitude changed BECAUSE i
saw death and Now i'm going to live life to the.
Speaker 9 (01:21:17):
Fullest, yeah it's when we deal with these kind of.
Cases one of the most important factors is what we
call before and after. Witnesses folks that knew the injured party,
Before folks that know the injured party afterwards and can
talk about just what the person was like and they
were not like, this this was the change we've seen
in this.
Speaker 3 (01:21:37):
Person, well this is why if you've been in any
kind of an, accident it doesn't have to be a,
car truck or motorcycle. Accident it could be a slip and,
fall Because, glenn those could be just as traumatic and
just as damaging as a vehicle, action.
Speaker 9 (01:21:50):
Especially if you hit your head or if something falls
and hits your.
Speaker 2 (01:21:52):
Head, yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:21:53):
Exactly so if you've been in any kind of an,
accident you need to call the. Lawyer other lawyers, call
and that Is Glenn clausman voted Super lawyer And Legal
elite this, year including yet. Again and these are pure
reviewed Mat these aren't just. Mean this is pure, reviewed.
Speaker 2 (01:22:07):

Stuff i'm just trying to say he's worth thirty.
Speaker 5 (01:26:46):
Dollars thirty a, heartbeat.
Speaker 7 (01:26:48):

All, Right rose, three, listen we need. You we've got
today and tomorrow to fill up row.
Speaker 6 (01:27:22):
Three but if we went to like twenty two for row,
THREE i, listen that's the.
Speaker 7 (01:27:26):

Speaker 7 (01:27:49):
One But i've always wanted to know that though deb
about your, voice if like how much of it was you,
know hard at, work getting better at delivering the, news
and also just what your mama gave.
Speaker 3 (01:28:03):
You, well some of it is what my mama gave.
Me and then WHEN i worked at attractions At, disney
we used to like to like modulate our voices on
the microphone because there are crappy mics to begin.
Speaker 7 (01:28:13):
With, yeah but what you just did right, there that
was that was, yeah, yeah that word that was. WORKING
i found LIKE i just got into a, weird horny car.
Speaker 3 (01:28:20):
Accident take a left, now, yeah, no so a little
what my mama gave me a little bit of just
working at, attractions and you, know you mess around when
you're trying to have. Downtime see how fast you can
do the pre pre you, know the speel the pre show.
Feel we used to have contests all the time for speed,
(01:28:41):
reading not knowing that years later when you're reading commercials
pre digital and you used to have to take one
big breath before you'd record a commercial and do your
darndas to get it right and one take because that
was that back on the days when you were putting
it down on tape and you had to splice. Everything
so being able to read a disclaimer super f. Asked
who would have thought that just by messing around working
(01:29:02):
the pre, show that you'd end up with skill you'd
end up using in radio paid.
Speaker 6 (01:29:06):
Off that's what they do that to us. Too they'll
write a promo script for like fifteen. Seconds i'll be twenty.
Three i'm, like what do you THINK i?
Speaker 5 (01:29:12):
Am you can't talk this? Fast that's.
Speaker 11 (01:29:15):
Insane here's one hundred and fifty. Words we need it
in thirty.
Speaker 7 (01:29:18):
Exactly, now go out of all of the years of Knowing,
jim that's his number one complaint in this. Building that
give me a thousand? WORDS i got twenty two. Seconds
what AM i supposed to do?
Speaker 5 (01:29:29):
Here?
Speaker 4 (01:29:31):
Edit, yeah it's called.
Speaker 2 (01:29:33):
Editing how Much i'll tell. YOU i agree with. You
deb kind of has the best voice in.
Speaker 7 (01:29:38):
Radio, however it is not my favorite voice in radio because.
Speaker 11 (01:29:43):
Now you're going to embarrass.
Speaker 2 (01:29:44):
Me come, On jack just has this voice THAT i
have grown to. Love which?
Speaker 4 (01:29:53):
Voice is?
Speaker 12 (01:29:54):
That just his?
Speaker 2 (01:29:55):
Standard give them the? Goods? Really?
Speaker 5 (01:29:57):
Yeah that bad?
Speaker 11 (01:29:59):
BOY i didn't know that was.
Speaker 5 (01:30:01):
Coming, yeah, YEAH.
Speaker 7 (01:30:02):
I mean it's it's like it's kind of like a
McDonald's sprite where it hurts so, good.
Speaker 6 (01:30:08):
You.
Speaker 3 (01:30:08):
Know Just matt just cut his eyes over To, jack,
like are you sure you're cool with?
Speaker 4 (01:30:11):
THAT i don't, know because that we're not sure about.
Speaker 5 (01:30:14):
It nobody's saying.
Speaker 6 (01:30:15):
THOUGH i do think because you wrap your personality with that, voice,
yes and you get attached to.
Speaker 11 (01:30:22):
IT i couldn't stay in listening to my.
Speaker 10 (01:30:25):
Voice i've gotten you BECAUSE i have to When i'm
editing or.
Speaker 4 (01:30:29):
WHATEVER i hate. LISTENING i have to do.
Speaker 10 (01:30:31):
It but STILL i remember in the very, BEGINNING i
remember people say your voice is, unique.
Speaker 20 (01:30:39):
Never.
Speaker 11 (01:30:39):
GOOD i don't, Like i'll take it right, exactly.
Speaker 3 (01:30:43):
Kind of like UNTIL i, go, hey you got a
face for, radio Thanks James.
Speaker 5 (01:30:48):
Barvarro that mustache is. Unique, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:30:51):
Exactly now do they have a lot OF i bet
they do have grooming rules when you're in the anchor,
desk but oh, yeah is there rules for like when
you're like a community. Correspondent is there a little bit
more freedom?
Speaker 6 (01:31:02):
Then, HONESTLY i don't think they have such deadline driven
jobs that if you can find somebody who does a great,
job Like, james it's just, like do your, thing, BUDDY
i don't care how you. Look but people do have
to stare at me for extra long amount of. TIME
i go from, three and THEN i do the five
and the, six and we do another. Thing SO i
(01:31:23):
think it would be a little more drastic IF i
Had james's whole thing going on rather than a minute
and a half.
Speaker 5 (01:31:29):
Story, right three hours of what's that? Like?
Speaker 3 (01:31:32):
THOUGH i, mean do they, say, hey you need to
wear this suit BECAUSE i know? YOU i, mean people
always believe you have makeup artists and hair stylists and
you know stylists in general who buy your suits and
buy your ties and pick those things up for.
Speaker 4 (01:31:45):
You but that's a responsibility that you have to take.
Speaker 6 (01:31:47):
Care, of, Right, Yes and my wife helps with, That
that's about. It she's taught me EVERYTHING i know about
makeup and everything. Else but, yeah it's.
Speaker 2 (01:31:55):
Been thanks to HD RIGHTHD.
Speaker 5 (01:31:58):
Hda you can't even wear as much.
Speaker 6 (01:32:00):
Makeup we had to take some off because if you
you don't want the worst, thing especially for, guys.
Speaker 5 (01:32:06):
To look like you're wearing.
Speaker 6 (01:32:07):
Makeup that was one of the most awkward phone Calls
i've ever, had by the, way WHEN i was in
school AND i found OUT i had to wear, makeup
AND i called my, dad who's a burly he's the,
burliest toughest construction worker you've ever.
Speaker 5 (01:32:19):
Met AND i, go, yeah, yeah well you know what he, Says, no.
Speaker 12 (01:32:25):
Son of.
Speaker 6 (01:32:26):
Mine, no he was actually really cool about. It he,
GOES i, Go, DADDY i GOT i have to wear
makeup to be on the.
Speaker 5 (01:32:30):
News and he.
Speaker 6 (01:32:30):
Goes he paused for like what felt like twenty, minutes
and he, goes, geez he, Goes howie long wears.
Speaker 5 (01:32:36):
Makeup it's, okay you can do. It how long.
Speaker 3 (01:32:44):
That IS i have to imagine would be one of
the more difficult aspects being a man IN tv news
is recognizing you really to do your job and look your,
best you do have to wear some.
Speaker 5 (01:32:54):
Makeup, yeah that's what people don't. UNDERSTAND i think when
you're on, television.
Speaker 4 (01:32:58):
The cameras piped, Everything.
Speaker 5 (01:33:00):
Yeah blasting.
Speaker 6 (01:33:01):
You no matter how tan you, are you look, pasty
you'll look. Shiny so you have to put some sort of.
Layer and you haven't lived until you've been in a
truck stop men's bathroom putting makeup on and guys walk.
Speaker 2 (01:33:12):
In is that how you? Did the? Lizards, yeah this is.
Speaker 5 (01:33:16):

in and saw that.
Speaker 5 (01:33:23):

Speaker 6 (01:33:23):
Around, yes BUT i did camp out at a truck
stop one time for an. Investigation it turns out a
lot lizards or ladies of the, night we're USING cbe
radios to get, business and so they would go into
the first truck do their, thing and then they Would
the part of the deal is they got to use
THE cebe radio and say, HEY i am looking for.

Speaker 4 (01:34:18):

Speaker 2 (01:34:19):
Story BUT i didn't.
Speaker 5 (01:34:20):
Know we were going in that.
Speaker 6 (01:34:21):
Direction AND i don't know if they pay thirty dollars
for a seat in that, case.
Speaker 3 (01:34:29):
Definitely more like a twenty two kind of, deal or
like a twenty two kind of.
Speaker 2 (01:34:33):
Deal it's a.
Speaker 7 (01:34:34):

dad did a good. Job, yeah that's an. Original.
Speaker 4 (01:38:16):
Wow if you, could, though what name would you?
Speaker 5 (01:38:18):
Choose steve was, no Not, Steve Steve Austin Stone Steve austin.
SIXTEEN i couldn't live up to.
Speaker 2 (01:38:28):
That NOW i was taking The Bionic.
Speaker 10 (01:38:30):
Man, okay that's a DIFFERENT aralliai million Dollar.
Speaker 5 (01:38:35):
Stone AUSTIN i think would be a cool news.
Speaker 2 (01:38:37):
Name that would be a cool news.
Speaker 7 (01:38:39):
Name WHEN i was a small kid and my imagination
was running. RAMPANT i was a professional basketball player in
my living room AND i always went by the Name John.
Connan and THEN i grew. UP i was like twenty
two years, old got part of a. Show my director
of the, show what's his? Name John? CONNON i was,
(01:38:59):
like no, Way i'm meeting my. HERO i, like, So
i've always wanted my name to Be John. CONNAN i
like it's. RHYMING i like how it, starts AND i don't.
Know then on in something about. It that's WHERE i would.
Speaker 5 (01:39:14):
Go, RIGHT i get that that's a nice.
Speaker 7 (01:39:16):
Gym, yeah BUT i now these new, influencers, though they're
coming up with names that are in the same cul
de sac as ex, caliber.
Speaker 4 (01:39:23):
Right the clavicular GUY i.
Speaker 2 (01:39:25):
Have, yeah, yeah that's a shoulder bone to.
Speaker 3 (01:39:28):
Me so for those who don't, know or what is
that documentary you guys had watched, recently the.
Speaker 4 (01:39:34):
Manisphere, yeah inside the inside the.
Speaker 3 (01:39:36):
Manisphere, Okay so for those who maybe haven't been exposed to,
it look maxing Looks maxing is an online subculture focused
on maximizing physical attractiveness right through some pretty gruesome, methods
either through grooming fitness to the extreme hard. MAXING i
mean they're literally talking about taking a hammer to your
jaw and breaking it so that when it, heals you'll
(01:39:58):
have more of a superman. Struck sure which doctors are, saying,
ah slow.
Speaker 5 (01:40:02):
Your, role probably a terrible, idea a.
Speaker 3 (01:40:04):
Terrible idea for probably injecting met the, amphetamine, steroids extreme.
Dieting and this this character we've been talking, About CLAVICULAR
i Believe i'm saying his name. Right he's gotten into
trouble a couple of times here In Central. Florida one
with a house party encouraging a couple of women to
fight to make the video go, viral and then along
with being with another influencer on an air boat shooting
(01:40:28):
into a dead. Alligator the animal was already, dead but
it really kind of. This And, matt you AND i were.
Talking your daughters are all within dating.
Speaker 5 (01:40:37):
Range oh, yeah dat?
Speaker 3 (01:40:39):
Range and are they dealing with this kind of toxic,
masculinity these kind of guys in the manisphere or are
they just?
Speaker 6 (01:40:46):
Fringe fortunately they're dating GUYS i like right at the
moment they taught, now.
Speaker 5 (01:40:51):
But they all knew.
Speaker 6 (01:40:52):
That they taught me about it over spring break is
WHEN i first learned about, this because they said something
about frame, logging AND i was, like.
Speaker 5 (01:40:59):
Are you still Speaking english over? There?
Speaker 6 (01:41:01):
Ah apparently that's when you like bow up on somebody
and your frame is bigger than their. Frame and then
so this set me down a rabbit hole of how
this all. Started, right you, know there was this in cell,
movement these involuntary, celibates these guys who are just basically
playing video games all day. Online well apparently from, that
you know how the pendulum swings right, Now so that
(01:41:23):
was people who just did not care at all about
finding a girl or anything like, that and we're kind
of raging against it to now this new brand of
people who like all they care about is looks and
trying to make yourself look good and have a six
pack and look like a v like A dorito. Chip
and so now our culture has just GONE i don't
know which which is.
Speaker 5 (01:41:43):
Worse do you it's.
Speaker 3 (01:41:45):
Bothersome it's very bothersome because everything focuses on everything that
you shouldn't focus on when you're looking for a partner in,
life and that is the one thing that you're guaranteed
is not going to be there at the. End and
that's the looks that you're pouring everything, into including being
a horrible human being in the.
Speaker 7 (01:42:02):
Process in cell movement looks maxining all of this hold
me back BECAUSE i might burn it all down to
the ground here is because it's taking advantage of the
same group of, people which is formative.
Speaker 2 (01:42:15):
Men, yes, people young men who are LIKE i.
Speaker 7 (01:42:19):
Don't know what to, DO i don't know What i'm,
doing AND i don't want to make this, weird BUT
i KNOW i am very grateful for the real life
human beings that stepped into my, life not a, screen
not something asking me for a like or a. Share
and to anybody who can hear my voice right now
who's into that, narrative you're getting, Got you're getting. Got
(01:42:41):
you're a piece of cattle as you feed them your
attention and your. Time and even as we talk about
it right, now we're a little cattily as we maybe
even share the names of these people who are also
doing exactly what everyone has tried before, them which is
to make it a level of fame or to get
a bigger. Platform if you can only give the ability
(01:43:07):
to be influenced by people that are actually in your,
life do. Not it's not like back in the day
when you would watch a show and laugh and then
you get hit by. Commercials now it is this semi
person half, personality half, commercial always tickling subconscious to advertise and.
(01:43:31):
Influence and that's so much more different than What Larry
david did when he when they Made.
Speaker 3 (01:43:38):
Seinfeld BUT i think it goes back to kind of
the you, know the peer, pressure. Right it used to
just come from your, friends from your, Peers BUT i
think these younger generations who rely on, TikTok, YouTube, instagram
they do consider these influencers peers to look up. To
how does a parent counteract or friends counteract that. INFLUENCE
(01:43:59):
i know we're thinking about young, Women, jack you have young,
Daughters well, YEAH i mean but in.
Speaker 4 (01:44:04):
That dating, age, yes.
Speaker 3 (01:44:06):
Definitely do they encounter any of this toxic from the
manisphere kind of.
Speaker 11 (01:44:10):
Thing, nope they're gay.
Speaker 2 (01:44:12):
Okay and ALSO i can't Believe i'm even GONNA i
give me a.
Speaker 4 (01:44:19):
Moment the way you said, it that was so. PERFECT
i love, You.
Speaker 2 (01:44:25):
Jack and it's also like the look at the term looks.
Speaker 7 (01:44:28):
Maxine looks maxine has been happening ever since THAT i
can remember, it just now it's in a different. Package
we used to call everything, vegan now it's plant. Based
we used to call people, models now we call it looks.
Maxine we used to call uh it uh taking care of,
yourself but now or you used to call it physical.
Fitness now it's just trying to get the tree on your.
(01:44:49):
Back for the people who work, out they know about
the tree on your. Back it's a back muscle. Thing
WHEN i was working, OUT i was trying to shoot for.
Trees never got. There BUT i just this in fluence
and all of that is so. Bad And i'm so
grateful to be able to have his opinion at thirty
six and not twenty.
Speaker 3 (01:45:09):
One, yeah and that's the, worry right because if it's
just look, maxing you, know dieting and vegan, whatever that'd be.
Different it's different when they take when they, say, hey
take a hammer to your face and break your.
Speaker 10 (01:45:20):
Jaw even more than that that that's they're creating their
own problem for, themselves. RIGHT i think really the cancer
is how they treat, others and especially.
Speaker 11 (01:45:30):
WOMEN i haven't.
Speaker 3 (01:45:31):
Watched The inside The manisphere, yet as you can, imagine
IT'S i don't Think i'm gonna walk away feeling really
warm and far.
Speaker 10 (01:45:37):
Pretty misogynistic at that end of how they feel they
should be. Served they're in, charge and it's like this
kind of this nineteen fifties retro attitude on.
Speaker 5 (01:45:49):
Steroids.
Speaker 6 (01:45:49):
RIGHT i would love for one of those guys to
try that on one of my. Daughters you, know if
you raise a daughter in a certain, way when that
guy who thinks he's going to tell her what to
do comes, along she will find so much bile coming
from her stomach she will be throwing, up LIKE i
feel like as a, dad if you raise, them it's
(01:46:11):
just you, know hours ago we talked about cursing in the.
House that kind of sets the. Tone, however you're gonna do, it.
WELL i treat their mom a certain, way and if
you treat their mom, bad one, day they're going to
look for a guy who.
Speaker 5 (01:46:24):
Treats them just like you treat their mom.
Speaker 2 (01:46:26):
Exactly treat their.
Speaker 6 (01:46:26):
Mom and them like. Gold mom doesn't ever get the
door around. Me they don't hear dad yelling at, mom
cursing at. Mom so if they ever do see that
in their normal, life my prayer is that they will
realize that this is not this is a red flag
as is normal for.
Speaker 5 (01:46:43):
Me.
Speaker 3 (01:46:44):
Absolutely that's Why i've always, said you, know men teach
daughters how to be treated by. Men, well you know
it is. True it's something that she cannot learn from her.
Mother she can only learn it from her.
Speaker 7 (01:46:55):
FATHER i look at the manisphere or clavicular and all
of these names who are influencing men as just such
a blatant sign of the, times and it kills me
knowing that misogyny or hot takes or people who say
Something and it's the same part of your brain that
gets pulled on when you.
Speaker 2 (01:47:15):
Hear tires screech and you have to, look but the
second you, look it's picking up.
Speaker 7 (01:47:21):
Ratings so when you have hot takes getting platformed by the,
millions where the majority of people looking at us four
going that's such an idiotic, take don't break the bones
in your. Face but if you put that in front
of a million, people ten thousand people are about to
break their.
Speaker 3 (01:47:41):
Face, Now, YEAH i mean you've Got AND i think
it goes back to like you said, Earlier ross And,
JACK i think it goes back to the loneliness and
the confusion and the lack of direction for young, men
and so they.
Speaker 5 (01:47:52):
Look to they're praying on.
Speaker 3 (01:47:53):
It they're preying on. Them they're praying on, them though
differently than fashion magazines telling girls you need to have
the thigh, gap and this is how you get the thigh.
Gap and it's you, know telling young men to go
through incredibly, difficult painful surgeries to elongate their femurs that
they can become a couple inches. TALLER i, mean these
are you, know choices that could have real world.
Speaker 4 (01:48:13):
Consequences, yeah and it's.
Speaker 6 (01:48:15):
Odd if you watch this guy talk a little, bit
this clavicular, guy if he refers to people who don't
do what they're doing as. Subhuman that is the actual
word he. Uses so if you're not pretty like me
or strong like, me you're not even a human.
Speaker 7 (01:48:29):
Being i'm not a, historian But i'm pretty sure somebody
else said that back in, like what is, it the.
Speaker 5 (01:48:35):
THIRTIES i think you're, right that's exactly WHAT i thought.
Speaker 3 (01:48:38):
Yeah but the problem is that it's not just one
person that we can pinpoint like we can back in
the thirties and. Forties now we're allowing a whole generation
of young men to believe this is what defines, masculinity
this is what it means to be a. Man, well
and yet for A matt and A jack who are raising,
daughters that's the last thing you want to see showing
(01:48:58):
up on your, doorstep.
Speaker 7 (01:49:00):
Even if that is their. Message there's this conundrum THAT
i do not HOW i don't know how to, fix
is that the majority of people will look at his.
MESSAGE i believe one of my favorite takes that this
clavicular guy has said is that if you're trying to
get your height maxing, on you have to make sure
that you're laying down so that, way if you are,
shorter your height is a little bit more. Mysterious you
(01:49:23):
can sag your pants down so you can tiptoe. Max
those are direct. QUOTES, yea all, right we can laugh at.
That but here's the thing where it's a numbers. Name
if you put this in front of a billion, people
the end result is that will influence a lot of.
People what makes it that big of a. Platform it's
(01:49:45):
because it's. Insane so if insane things are winning people's,
EYES i don't know how you fix that BECAUSE i
hate watch so many, things And i'm part of kind
of the problem because then that next thing THAT i,
hate the fl flent test, clip the any of these
(01:50:06):
highly inflammatory content, Creators i'll try to hate watch it
and try to pick up on like what twenty twenty
six is throwing at? Us but.
Speaker 2 (01:50:16):
You you, exactly SO i don't. Know it's a.
Speaker 7 (01:50:21):
Paradox he's going to keep on. Winning AND i look forward,
though when he hits his mid thirties and and or
has a hallucinogenic.
Speaker 2 (01:50:29):
Experience, well and that's What i'm rooting.
Speaker 10 (01:50:33):
For, WELL i long for the old days where if
you wanted to see sexy people you would get people,
Magazines Sexiest People, issue where you might find news anchors
in there and sexiest news.
Speaker 5 (01:50:47):
Anchor, okay that was a long that was a different.
Speaker 4 (01:50:51):
Like oh, Oh, jack.
Speaker 2 (01:50:54):
We have the original, Looks, max we had no.
Speaker 4 (01:50:57):
Idea jack give us the.
Speaker 2 (01:50:58):
DEATS i think it better If Matt.
Speaker 6 (01:51:00):
TEWES i think it's better If jack done now BACK
i think it was twenty. THIRTEEN i got a call
or an email or something From people magazine and they
SAID i was nominated as one Of People's SEXIEST.
Speaker 5 (01:51:14):
I was going to be in The Sexiest Men alive.
Speaker 2 (01:51:16):
Issue how did you call your wife right? Away or
did You she found.
Speaker 5 (01:51:21):
Out about it pretty. Quickly, YEAH i told.
Speaker 6 (01:51:23):
HER i was, like, hey, Babe so just so you, Know,
yeah the weirdest part was when my mom got all
of The people magazines out of Public so she literally
when they came, OUT i was on like page seven
hundred of.
Speaker 5 (01:51:38):
Them however many you, know it was like deep in that.
Thing don't.
Speaker 6 (01:51:41):
Worry but my mom literally bought Out publics And cary
and just JUST i think she only did it just
so when she went to the, clerk they, said why
are you buying all These people? Magazines, oh my son's
in it right, here but it will be on my.
Tombstone i'll tell you. That oh, Yeah i've already got.
Speaker 10 (01:52:00):
That once you have that, title then you have the
authority to Say i'm not wearing a tie.
Speaker 3 (01:52:08):
Anymore that's, right walking a new sixth and Say i'm
not sure if you're.
Speaker 6 (01:52:13):
Aware you, Know i'm catching a lot of flak online
BECAUSE i stopped wearing a tie really. Well some people love,
it BUT i have gotten some very angry.
Speaker 2 (01:52:23):
Folks you're not time. Axing i'm not time.
Speaker 5 (01:52:26):
Axing that's. GOOD i think you just made you just
came up with.
Speaker 4 (01:52:28):
IT i think he probably. Did he's known for that
kind of.
Speaker 5 (01:52:31):
Chip IF i don't have a tie, ON i forget
about the true.
Speaker 7 (01:52:37):
WHAT i.
Speaker 6 (01:52:37):
MEAN i don't know about you, guys but like we
have you talk to. Lawyers you have doctors who are
friends of. Mine none of them wear ties and suits. Anymore,
no and it's just the more casual. Look is just
a good looking button down with the jacket. ON i
THINK i think that's the more common look when you
go into the.
Speaker 5 (01:52:54):
Office AM i? Crazy, No you're not.
Speaker 7 (01:52:56):
Crazy but there's one piece of professional attire THAT i
need to see for the rest of my, life and
that would be the white trench coat lab coat from a.
Speaker 2 (01:53:05):
DOCTOR i need to see.
Speaker 7 (01:53:07):
THAT i don't want to see like a like a
like a doctor just showing, up you, know yacht. MONEY
i don't want to see my. Doctor, yeah my doctor's chest.
Speaker 2 (01:53:17):
Hair shooting out a button two up. TOP i agree with.
THAT i like the white lab. Coat it makes me feel.
Speaker 4 (01:53:23):
Safe, yeah he's got, standards that's.
Speaker 5 (01:53:26):
Fair AND i think some people are emailing me as
IF i took off the lab coat or, something, right all,
right WHICH i never.
Speaker 6 (01:53:32):
Had SO i think it's a little more casual and approachable,
and like you, say.
Speaker 5 (01:53:36):
Authentic so but not everybody's agreeing with.
Speaker 3 (01:53:39):
Me, yeah you, know some people just don't like. Change
just give him a little bit of. Time they'll come
around and realize he's still the great information giver he was.
Before it's just now he's a little bit more.
Speaker 4 (01:53:48):
Relaxed there you.
Speaker 6 (01:53:49):

Speaker 3 (01:54:05):
Sure have you thought of maybe putting that on a
banner with a flag and just walking around with it
as you walk into the.
Speaker 10 (01:54:09):
OFFICE i have a feeling when it came out everyone

Speaker 6 (01:54:15):

Something when you.
Speaker 6 (02:12:14):
Said, HISTAMINE i could have sworn you made that, Up
but it's actually. True, yeah numbness or tingling in the
mouth after eating sour dough is likely an allergic, reaction
possibly due to high histamine levels or fermentation Eyeprod so
it's the.
Speaker 7 (02:12:31):
Fermentation my wife like fermented it for way too. Long
so this thing basically became like an eight ball of.
Speaker 2 (02:12:37):
Coke it was. Nuts it was.
Speaker 7 (02:12:42):
Insane and then as soon AS i see MY i
hear my son doing his whole tongue weird noise in
the other, ROOM i drop.

EVERYTHING i run. Over he was having a blast with,
it which was a little.

right to and after a while it lasted for about
LIKE i don't, know eight ten, minutes and then we're,
like all, right everyone, good but heads, up if your
wife is making sour, dough two things is. Happening you might.

Speaker 7 (02:13:47):
Me?
Speaker 2 (02:13:48):
Yeah, yeah and then that's the starter talking what about?
Me there's what do? YOU i told her that as.
Speaker 7 (02:13:55):
Well it's, like why can't we just buy the sour
dough for like a handful of bucks not go full
blown breaking bad in the kitchen with this weird setup
that we got going.
Speaker 2 (02:14:07):
On AND i came to the conclusion THAT i think
it's ego like or something, like why do we have
to make this bread BECAUSE i made?
Speaker 7 (02:14:15):
It, well it's also should be illegal in fourteen states

Speaker 7 (02:17:24):
Yep so if you if you disregard young men as not.
Men that just leaves a. Void that's a.
Speaker 4 (02:17:32):
Good, point, actually And i've seen that.
Speaker 3 (02:17:34):
Recently there's like some camps or something where they'll teach
you how to be in alpha. Male and it's not
just for young, men it's for for older men as.
Speaker 2 (02:17:42):
Well it's interesting.
Speaker 7 (02:17:45):
Times i'm, worried, yes probably more THAN i THOUGHT i
would ever be about other.
Speaker 2 (02:17:51):
Dudes But i'm just seeing them getting got left and.
Speaker 5 (02:17:54):
Right. Yeah, yeah they're very vulnerable to the s very.
Speaker 6 (02:17:57):
Vulnerable and when you HAVE i MEAN i don't have a,
boy BUT i have daughters who have to find a
boy one. Day and do you, worry like how many
good ones are going to be out there for them to?
Speaker 5 (02:18:06):
Find?
Speaker 3 (02:18:07):
Well and how many good ones are out? There they're
just being ruined by, this by this you know thought,
process you, know and what does it mean when you're
raising a young.
Speaker 7 (02:18:16):
Man what's so odd to me is That and this
is not a, Brag this is just my situation with
a group of. Friends they are all, dancers professional. DANCERS
i would say eight out of ten of them are,
single AND i they are friends with my, wife SO
i kind of get privy of these conversations where they
(02:18:38):
know That i'm not. INTERESTED i know that they're not.
Interested So i've had these honest conversations with stunning women
who just look around and, go this is what we're running.
Into this is the problem every every the last date
that one of them just had was this alpha male thing.
Speaker 2 (02:18:57):
And thrown this out. Here what was it?
Speaker 4 (02:18:59):
Like what you say or experience was?
Speaker 5 (02:19:01):
Like it was.
Speaker 7 (02:19:01):
Awful it just no emotional. Intelligence everything is surface. Level
the second you throw down some critical thought that might
start a conversation that you haven't been, before it just
fails and. Crumbles it's a there is no formula to
this existence. Thing you have to find out your own.
(02:19:24):
Recipe and the second you let a screen or a
social media influencer slither into that and to tell you
what a man, is, yikes don't do.
Speaker 2 (02:19:37):
THAT i can unequivocally, say don't do.
Speaker 6 (02:19:40):
THAT i LOVE i love your passion for, this BUT
i do think it's funny whenever they say who an
alpha male, Is it's, like go go tell you tell
my dad that you're an alpha male and be in
the same room As Chuck, austin who had concrete blocks
for hands and who carry drywall into houses for a,
(02:20:01):
living like these people who think they know what an
alpha male. Is some guy who's posing On instagram showing
his jawline is not an alpha male and would never
be considered one in any other time in.
Speaker 2 (02:20:14):
History and, uh.
Speaker 7 (02:20:16):
Here's another definition for alpha male for, me good, person
and that is being so grossly. Overlooked you want to
pick up, chicks be a good person first and, foremost
respect someone's, Time, listen, conversate. Communicate don't look at it
as this person owes me. Something look at it as
(02:20:38):
equals and watch the magic.
Speaker 3 (02:20:41):
Happen, yeah because out of all of those, chicks you're
gonna maybe find the woman that you're gonna want to
create a partnership with and a life. With and that
comes from recognizing each other's strengths and.
Speaker 7 (02:20:52):
Weaknesses, Uh, GOD i can't Believe i'm gonna pull the
trigger on. This you know WHO i would Consider? God
because he's not, Here i'm gonna say. It jim is
a great example of to me what a quote unquote
good person or alpha male.
Speaker 2 (02:21:10):
Is he would never say What i'm about to.
Speaker 4 (02:21:12):
Say, uh we'll wait and be the judge of. That
he's a good.
Speaker 7 (02:21:17):
Person at the end of every, day every interaction THAT
i have ever had With, jim whether we, disagree and
it was so, spicy there's always been a level of
respect and communication and. Trust you don't say that you're
the alpha. Male you let other people like me say
(02:21:37):
it for you when you're not in the.
Speaker 4 (02:21:39):
Room your, behavior everything should say.
Speaker 3 (02:21:41):
IT i, mean if you have to say, it then
there's a reason why you have to say, it and
chances are it's because you.
Speaker 9 (02:21:46):
Aren't, yeah.
Speaker 6 (02:21:47):
EXACTLY i KNEW i Liked Jim colbert one day BECAUSE
i had seen him and talked to. Him we were
playing cards a big group of, guys AND i think
it was his daughter who walked into the, room and.
Speaker 5 (02:21:57):
He's kind of you, know he's. Crusty he's First shrek, Movie,
Shrek yeah he. Is he's just like he is who he.
Speaker 6 (02:22:05):
Is his daughter walked in the room and he just
became a puddle of mush on the floor in front of.
Speaker 5 (02:22:10):
Everybody he just AND i look for.
Speaker 6 (02:22:12):
THAT i immediately, like, you if you're a, guy, tough,
whatever when your daughter walks into the room and you just,
hey like he lit up LIKE i didn't even know
he was capable of that and it's just a beautiful
thing to.
Speaker 5 (02:22:25):
See.
Speaker 4 (02:22:25):
Jack have you ever seen?
Speaker 2 (02:22:26):
That, YEAH i was at that game AND i lost
a lot of.
Speaker 5 (02:22:28):
MONEY i did take some of your money that.
Speaker 3 (02:22:31):
DAY i was.
Speaker 6 (02:22:34):
That was.
Speaker 4 (02:22:34):
Horrible you know how he could make it.
Speaker 3 (02:22:36):
Up he could make it up by signing up for
the stacks For Racks golf the poker tournament our good
Friend Mel taylor from w j R rs hosting next.
Speaker 4 (02:22:46):

Speaker 2 (02:23:26):

Speaker 3 (02:23:27):

text from seven to seven zero three one had this
talk with my husband when our son was. Thirteen the
first time he talked back to me and started showing.
DEFIANCE i, said nip it in the butt, now or
he'll lose respect for.
Speaker 2 (02:23:43):
Me he.
Speaker 4 (02:23:44):
Listened our son is twenty seven and couldn't treat me.
Better look at.
Speaker 2 (02:23:48):
That did you ever have to nip.
Speaker 4 (02:23:50):
Anything in the butt at your?
Speaker 2 (02:23:51):
House like really early?
Speaker 4 (02:23:52):
On like, no, no, no that's not gonna.
Speaker 5 (02:23:54):
Fly mom and dad have to be on the same.
Side that's the. Hardest that's What jack. Said early have
they become, teenagers they'll play against each.
Speaker 10 (02:24:00):
Other and look for that gap where do they look
for any light in? Between and then they will go
in and exploit That dad keeps bringing up your? Cellulate
what does that?
Speaker 2 (02:24:09):
Mean? Mom it's like all these.
Speaker 3 (02:24:11):
Jets or is it the you always hear That mom
is the heavy and says, No so before you even
bother Asking, mom you just go straight to dad because
you Know dad is going to be the easier one
to push over and get your.
Speaker 4 (02:24:23):
Way, yeah is that kind of what you?
Speaker 5 (02:24:24):
Mean that's how it.
Speaker 6 (02:24:25):
HAPPENED i have to make sure that they haven't asked
my wife, already Because i'll be the second ask who's.
Speaker 10 (02:24:31):
Easier Usually i'll discuss it with your. Mom, yet you
know they may want an immediate. Answer that doesn't mean
you have to give them an immediate answer and, say,
yeah your mom AND i will.
Speaker 5 (02:24:40):
Talk how about. That i'll save you some gray hairs
to that. One.
Speaker 11 (02:24:46):
Boy guess what your wife will appreciate that.
Speaker 12 (02:24:48):
Too.
