Three Blerds talking about gaming, anime, geek & pop culture.
Was He-Man really worth our time? Is Prince Adam really the Master of the Universe?
We also checked out Scarlet Nexus and season 2 of Beastars? Does Legoshi ever find out who devoured his friend?
Loki season finale introduced us to a new character/villain as well as more hints at the multiverse.
What does their introduction mean for the MCU? Does Mobius get his jet ski?
We ask and answer a lot of questions during our review of this season of Loki
Kareem & Haneef discuss Amazon Prime's latest big budget action film - The Tomorrow War.
Also, we discuss several new shows that we've been watching, in addition to reviewing Loki's quest to find out who runs the TVA.
It has been 2 weeks since our last episode, so we have a lot to catch up on, like how will Loki and Lady Loki (The Enchantress?) escaped the doomed planet?
Is the 2nd season of Black Summer worth watching?
We also chat about Marvel's upcoming films (Shang Chi, Black Widow).
Also, Kay's dislike for Sailor Moon anime (insert shocked look) lol.
Loki gets pulled out the time line, Lupin is avoiding the police while looking for his missing son.
Also, Netflix released Trese, a dark anime based in the Philippines (shout out to our Flip listeners!)
This was a busy weekend for us :).
Also, Kareem hate-watched a series that you want to make sure to avoid. The pain we go through to make sure you don't have to :)
Without much fanfare, Hulu/Marvel released a new claymation series about Modok. Kareem & Haneef hit up Vegas as they checked out Zach Snyder's Army of The Dead. Kay challenged herself by binging One Piece.
We finished the last season of Castlevania...was it better than Yasuke?
Love, Sex, Robots (what a title!) also came out this past weekend and we checked out this CGI anthology.
A busy weekend in the anime world, Kareem went to the theaters to see Demon Slayer. Netflix's fictional tale of the real life black samurai, Yasuke, came out. To wrap it all up, the first season of Invincible finished with some major reveals.
Also, we discuss parenting in the anime world? How realistic/unrealistic is it?
Falcon dons a new suit, but does this make him really America's new icon - Captain America? Is the Flag Smasher's goal a righteous fight? Will the Power Broker be the new MCU villain?
The fight for Earth Realm began this weekend with Mortal Kombat's theatrical release, but was it worth it?
We discuss the aftermath of #NotMyCap going berserk, the powerful conversation between the Isaiah Bradley & Sam Wilson.
Also, is Sharon Carter the Power Broker and/or a Skrull? Just one of our many wild theories for the season finale of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
Lastly, Invincible's latest episode brings up a good question, if you are a super hero would you or would you not tell your friends/family about your new id...
Dora Milaje want Zemo, but can K-mart (aka Great Value Captain America) get him first?
Kareem discusses American Gods and what went wrong with the final season. We also discuss the unnecessary trend in tv/films depicting black pain or black torture porn.
Kong & Godzilla finally fight and tear up Hong Kong. But was this really the monster battle we really wanted to see?
What a week, we were treated to 3 episodes of the Image's animated series - Invincible. We also discuss racial realities within fantasy/fictional as we broke down Netflix's The Irregulars and the latest episode of Marvel's Falcon & Winter Soldier.
Also, does Elijah Bradley live in a trap house?
After 3 years, we finally get the 4 hour epic that is called the "Snyder Cut". Was it worth the wait, was there any key takeaways from the DC/HBO Max exclusive.
Cap is retired, giving his shield to Sam (Falcon), who is struggling financially. Meanwhile Bucky (Winter Soldier) is in therapy. Maybe Bucky needs to go back to Shuri, she's good with fixing colonizers.
We recently watched Netflix's anime - High-Rise Invasion. This mystery/horror anime is filled with action and fan service. Which has us asking is "fan service" really necessary in anime and why is it accepted?
Now that Wandavision has ended, we give our thoughts on the finale and why many of us did not enjoy the series/season. We also discuss the highly anticipated releases of DC's SnyderCut (aka Justice League 2.0) and Marvel's Falcon and Winter Soldier.
A lot has taken place in Westview, NJ. Wanda's hex has expanded but how long can she contain it after the reveal from her nosey neighbor, Agatha? Snoopers gonna snoop!
All caught up with Wandavision? Who is Monica's contact? Is Quicksilver here to stay? Is Mephisto involved? With so many questions and so few episodes remaining, we're here to help make sense of this season.
Are we too eager with cancelling someone? Does freedom of speech outweigh its consequences ?
If you can never get enough true crime... Congratulations, you’ve found your people.
We’re at our most vulnerable when we go to our doctors. We trust the person at the other end of that scalpel. We trust the hospital. We trust the system. Christopher Duntsch was a neurosurgeon who radiated confidence. He claimed he was the best in Dallas. If you had back pain, and had tried everything else, Dr. Duntsch could give you the spine surgery that would take your pain away. But soon his patients started to experience complications, and the system failed to protect them. Which begs the question: who - or what - is that system meant to protect? From Wondery, the network behind the hit podcast Dirty John, DR. DEATH is a story about a charming surgeon, 33 patients and a spineless system. Reported and hosted by Laura Beil.
