Top stories at the top of the hour with nash
Le Nix. Let's get into it. Twenty two year old
Silas Sampson is facing multiple charges after the deadly crash
and Ebor on Friday night. Four people were killed in
thirteen other people suffered injuries ranging from life threatening to minor. However,
after law enforcement's initial statements, they said a couple of

(00:28):
other victims may have taken themselves to the hospital, so
the numbers could range from a fifteen to seventeen. Tampa
Police Chief Leave Burkhol said it began at twelve thirty
am Saturday morning. Here take a listener. Two FHP units
attempt the traffic stop on it and the vehicle flees and.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Then they attempt to pit maneuver.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
After that, Unfortunately, this vehicle went on a high rate
of speed down Seventh Avenue. Community members gathered outside of
Bradley's on Seventh and Ebor on Saturday night to more
in the four lives lost. Many of those people had
questions about how the crash happened in the first place.
Advocates for safer police pursuit say this was a poorly

(01:08):
executed chase that prioritize apprehension of a non violent criminal
over public safety. Mayor Jane Caster is expected to answer
questions about changes coming to Ebor after that deadly crash
over the weekend.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Jamie's gonna come on the show with us. He's chilling
in the studio right now. I want to give him
a lot of time to talk about this as he
was involved in that unfortunate event. So we'll have him
on in just a second.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Britney Spears in some later news, has returned to Instagram.
She returned Friday night and she offered her followers some
advice along with a photo of her in lingerie. Of course,
she was wearing a black and nude lingerie set. She
captured the photo. She's seeking some self help with the
book Draw the Circle. It's given her perspective on how
to live within her means and set boundaries. Last, but

(01:57):
not least, if you've gone to Target in the last
couple of days, Target is mandating that their employees smile
more on the job. Really, yes, they said. The company
says workers have to smile and make eye contact with
any customer that comes within it ten feet of them.
They also have to ask if they need help or
make small talk if they are within four feet. This

(02:18):
new rule is aim to improve all the customer experience
after declining sales thanks to a boycott of the retailer
over Dei measures. The companies also planning to remodel and
upgrade stores. Wal Mart and Disney have had the smile
rules in place for years. I thought Starbucks did too,
because if you go to Starbucks, they loved a small
talk you. Oh my ground, I don't want to talk.

(02:38):
Get all Joe so news and content on't forree. I
heard radio apping, YouTube just starts to Joe Show. Make

Speaker 1 (02:44):
I went to Target yesterday. Multiple of their employees did
walk up and say, like, you know, small talk, and
it's like, come on, interesting stuff. Okay, we're gonna play
Bieber real quick. And then DJ Jamie Ferrera said this
a couple of times. And I want to start it
off by saying he is okay, obviously he's in here

(03:05):
right now. But unfortunately he was struck by that vehicle
that ended up killing for injuring reportedly thirteen I think
it's a lot more than just that.
