Speaker 1 (00:11):
Broadcasting live from the Abraham Lincoln Radio Studio, the George
Washington Broadcast Center, jack Armstrong and Joe Getty Armstrong and
Jackie and he Arms wrong. You get it live from

(00:35):
Studio C signor.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Deep within the bowels of the Armstrong and Giddy Intimation Complex.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
This is the Armstrong and Giddy Show.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
For this Thursday, August the twenty ninth, the year of
our Lord, twenty twenty four. Life won't be a bore
in twenty four man, August is gone. I know that's
a trite conversation, but it's still kind of amazing, isn't
it the way the summer especially flips This morning, we're
laboring under the tutelage of our general manager, Dana Bash.

(01:08):
She could be the key figure whether Kamala Harris and
her communist football assistant coach boyfriend are exposed as the
weaklings that they are, or will she toss them softball
after softball? Of course, if he's a football coach, he
might be terrible at hitting softball.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Anyway, we'll talk about the interview to come and all
sorts of stuff, and we are jam packed with fantastic
and toormation for you today.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Jack is on his way. He will be there.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Oh look at him, the white flash scurrying through the
newsroom with the speed.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Of a cheetah. Hey, hey, cheetah. Welcome.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
The introduction has been completed. Right, you're into the content segment.
I mean, just like now, So, uh, do you think
CNN's going to roll out clips of the debate before
they are it and not the debate the interview we
keep calm at the debate?

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Yeah, I know.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Accidentally yeah, uhr when are they taping it? When's it
being aired?

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Plenty of time to edit it nefariously, as my bride suggested.
Matter of fact, we were walking the dog last night.
I said, he has kind of weird it's being taped,
and she said.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
They're gonna edit it. So that's interesting.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
That's that's everybody's reaction when they heard that it's being taped,
as oh, they're going to edit it. How How did
the how did the Harris campaign not anticipate that that's
how people are going to react? Well, and I said
to her, listen, woman, I usually address you talk. I said,
that's not necessarily true. But that's not necessarily not true either,

(02:46):
I think is it the appearance of impropriety. Is anybody,
Katie Michaels, anybody remember I don't remember these interviews being.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Taped in the past. Now some have some Bill and
Bill and Hillary on sixty minutes.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
This is the biggest interview I can remember with a
candidate when his affair came out. That's way back in
the day. I mean, that's thirty two years ago. That
was taped as all sixty minutes interviews are. But man,
I can't remember, Katie, do you remember? No?

Speaker 3 (03:12):
I but I know they taped the most recent one
with Biden, but then they made them with Lester Holt.
But then they made the announcement this has not been
edited well, right.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
And obviously SHN.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Needs to come out big and quick and say, look,
we're not gonna touch this. This is gonna be the
raw video and don't give me any edited for time.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Bull dung.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Bull dungu. Yeah, but that's that's pretty interesting. That Well,
here's the thing though, Biden aside, when has there been
a candidate where where the biggest knock against them was
they couldn't talk.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
And had no ideas if they could talk, all right.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
That they're being hidden because they can't talk I mean,
when that's your uh weakness, When that I almost used
a word that I guess now is seen as a
slur against your armor, Asian slur.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
You can't say that, can you a chink in their armor?

Speaker 4 (04:12):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Boy? By a permit. That was Joe Getty's voice, not mine.
I've got a permit based on my lifelong respect for
folks of Asian extraction and nights. You know, my uh
my daughter has her long time boyfriend is a I
guess technically Pacific islander, and he says the most hilarious

(04:34):
things about Asian You want to hear really funny and
edgy stuff about Asian people, ask an Asian person. But
if your biggest weakness is people think I can't speak
off at the top of my head, So I need
to come up with an event that will lay that

(04:57):
issue to rest.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
This ain't it.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Paper recording an interview with your partner at your side.
I mean, it's like you went out of your way
to fan the flames of people worried that you can't
speak off the top of your head speaking of there
being a certain wisdom to crowds. And if a reaction
is near universal, you have to respect it. Was, I
wouldn't say I was feeling guilty. I wanted to make

(05:23):
sure I wasn't being unfair yesterday because I am unquestionably
enthusiastically an ideologue or an advocate of one particular point
of view.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
But I want to be fair.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
And so the whole she was showing up with Tim Walls, tampon, Trotzky.
Tim I suggested that I saw that as a she
can't handle it alone. So to defuse the attention and
the verbal load, she was bringing a body. It was
like bringing your mom to an interview. Well, I woke

(05:57):
up this morning in and scanning various editorial pages. That
perception is widespread. I think the Wall Street Journal editorial board,
where the folks has said she's bringing a chaperone.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Their headline is Harris gets an interview crutch, And they
go on through very at length the editorial board about
how how embarrassing this is.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
So am I wrong? I mean, if you're trying to
be completely fair.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
So the biggest knock on her is she can't speak
off the top of her head. She doesn't do any
interviews or press conferences at all during the period of
time that any other candidate in history would have then.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
When she's doing as many as humanly possible.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Now when she finally does it's with her running mate
and they tape it. Is there any other explanation, Trying
to be completely fair, can you come up with any
other explanation other than that rumor? That concern is correct?
She can't talk off the top of her head. It's

(06:56):
conceivable the taping thing had to do with schedule bind
it too, taping it and having your wing bright. That
was precisely where I was going.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Yeah, if you can combind.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Especially Yeah, because and but again my point is, if
that's your weakness, like if my weakness is I can't
walk upstairs, I can't. I can't walk upstairs, I would
go up a bunch of stairs, down a bunch of stairs,
up a bunch of stairs, down a bunch of stairs.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
To make it clear that I can go up and downstairs.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
Right, if that was if the perception that was hurting
me was inaccurate. Right, she has done two things, three
major things if you include delaying for months, She's done
three major things to add to the idea that you
can't talk to something. That's what It just seems so
weird to me is a strategy. Well, so if that
were your weakness, and Kamala's hayes a case, you are

(07:46):
mounting three stairs with the help of a professional athlete
on either elbow, right, So you know, the biggest knock
on me is I can't go upstairs, and so I
get to the plane and they roll out this big
inflatable thing that I lay in and it raises me
up there No, no upstairs. I just like to use
the inflatable thing. I mean, that's what she's doing. And
sexist allegation. I'm talking, I'm talking, that's what she's doing.

(08:11):
She's being noted for something and then doing things that make.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
It look worse. It's just so weird. Unless again, the
flaw is real. Yes, Michael, there's.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
Only one way to solve it tonight during the interview,
she's gonna have to throw Waltz out of the room
on camera, just say you know what, get out, get out.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
I want to speak. Then he goes, I'm a.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Solo in this one, fat man out exactly. Having said that,
I will tell you this, I believe firmly that there's
a near ninety five percent chance. As I texted Jack yesterday,
her performance will be somewhere between not bad and not terrible.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
I think it will just be mediocre ish.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
She's smart enough to have memorized a bunch of talking
points and been coached about Because she will be asked
about her enormous number and one hundred and eighty degree
nature of her flip flops. That's gonna be one of
the more interesting. Oh yeah, she's got to have an
answer on fracking. Although man Mark Calprin yesterday on his

(09:15):
Zoom call in the afternoon, he played a clip of
one of her top communication people. So this is a
guy who for a living gets out there and communicates
to the media, and he was nowhere on his fracking answer. Well,
the important thing is we need to remember, you know,
just not answering the question of how you went from

(09:36):
absolutely fracking, no guaranteed day one, no two. Yes, he
had nothing and that was that's his job is to
coach her.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
On how to answer it. And he had nothing. Wow.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Clearly they think we'll just go with the dodge, Go
with the dodge. What's really important to the American people?

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Mmm, not gonna be good enough.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
Also, well, Dana Bash asked her, Uh, when did you
know the president wasn't fit to be do another four years?

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Is that question gonna come up? Wow?

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Did you disagree on to hear that? I forget who
I saw. Maybe Fox and Friends suggested this, Are you
the same policies as the Biden administration? I assume she's
gonna say no. Did you ever tell him that his
border plan was not working? Did you ever say anything
in any of those meetings where you said, hey, we
got to do something different, this is what I suggest

(10:25):
and you got turned down?

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Or what? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (10:29):
You know, it's funny they're so deferential to the sitting
senile president. I don't understand why that's not the easiest
question in the world to deal with. Look, I was
the vice president. I agreed with most of what we did,
but I was not in charge. I was the second
in command. When we differed, I deferred to the president.
Now that it's me, I want to build on the

(10:49):
successes we've had and tweak some of the things I
think we could have done better. That was effortless, the
effortlessen It took me twenty seconds. So when you went
out and said the border is secure, you were lying
on behalf of the administration. Yes, yes, I was our
policy was a miserable failure. My boss is a crank
and I'm utterly without principles. Yeah, I'm not sure the answer. Yes,

(11:11):
I was lying when I went out to do work
easily done. Let's start the show officially real quick. I'm
Jack Armstrong, He's Joe Getty on this. It is Thursday, already,
August twenty ninth, the year twenty twenty four.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
We are Armstrong and getting we approve of this program.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
She'll just say, we need to make the porter even
more secure. All right, let's begin officially now. According to
FCC rules and Regulations g GLLI politics is stupid.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Let's begin at mark.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
It's only fading that Otani gets the very first golden
babblehead and Decoy is right there with him. Let's go
to work with your owner today and moments ago, the
first dog ever to throw out the first stick was
pretty darn impressive. Actually, Shoey goes behind the home plate.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Here comes Decoy with the first dog and it's a strike.
What the dogs on his own.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
Streach the reward?

Speaker 1 (12:02):
You tell me. He works hard on his game.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
He works hard on training his dog too. It's a
really sweet street bag.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
That's A, that's show he Tani's dog throwing out the
first pitch? A?

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Wow? Does Does the dog also hit hand pitch just
like he does? Two way players? How does a dog
throw it at? I haven't seen this video. Does the
dog have fingers? What the hell? How about work? Michael?
So many questions. Haven't seen the video. But I'm assuming
the dog picked the ball up in.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
You got us this clip and you weren't curious enough
to find the video and figure out how freaking dogs?

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Don't you put you out?

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Michael Agelo, he's very busy. You're welcome, My god man,
just your own curiosity didn't make you like google it
real quickly?

Speaker 1 (12:46):
How the hell did a dog throughout the first I
was gonna look at it?

Speaker 2 (12:49):
Okay, well maybe you can answer that when we come back,
which we've got to take a break. How does mailbag look? Oh,
it's it's a it's a triumph. It is really a
testament to the spirit of mankind.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
Have he throw it with mouth? See what happened there?

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Uh? Text line four one five two nine five KFTC. Okay,
Katie and Michael have taken the time to watch it.
Show Hey, Otny, Greatest Baseball player. Maybe since Babe Ruth
his dog threw out the first pitch at Dodger Stadium
last night, How in the hell did that work?

Speaker 1 (13:20):
Somebody tell me?

Speaker 5 (13:21):
Well, the dog took the ball in his mouth, got
up on both hind legs, kicked the leg up, and
then just basically.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
With its head with his head, just tossed as far
as he could. Okay, Katie, lying liar, that lies the dog.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
The ball was sitting on the pitcher's mound. The dog
picked it up with his mouth and ran it to show.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
Hey, that was it? Okay, gotcha thoroughly disappointed. Yeah, but
that's charming. Well, I wanted to see something.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
It's better than the here's the vice president of the
local Kuanas club to throw out the first pitch. Hey,
I'm not against dogs trotting with balls in the I
just don't appreciate being lined right exactly.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
It's not a pitch out a boot. I don't appreciate
the ruse. The dog sucks.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Here's your freedom loving quote of the day, again from
Frederick Bastiata, sent along by Frank. I do not dispute
the right to invent social combinations, to advertise them, to
advocate them, and to try them.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
Upon themselves at their own expense and risk.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
But I do dispute their right to impose these plans
upon us by law, by force, and to compel us
to pay for them with our taxes. Oh man, that's
a good one. Wow, I get that, get that stamped
on my forehead, and I got plenty of room. Tempted
to go off on that one, but I won't tell
state disciplined to mailbag. Yeah, maybe I get just totally

(14:46):
sleeved with my favorite liberty loving quotes.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
That'd be pretty cool. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
Then the entire First Amendment on my back, the Preamble
to the Constitution on my chest. H the first paragraph
of the Declaration of Independence up and down my leg.
Be long and painful, but I like the idea anyway,
Moving along to mailbag, drop his note Mailbag at Armstrong
a Geddy dot com. Hill Billy Jeffs, frequent correspondent, makes
a joke about a certain act of love. Hillary Clinton

(15:17):
Kamala Harris is not arable. Noh, remember, ladies, next time
you give a blanket could be a historic moment. Again,
just inappropriate. But then here's the key parts. Hill Billy
Jess and Wiley, Texas who happens to be a lady.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
Yes, Joe, I am a chick.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
My husband here's my emails on the radio regularly and
he told me, I think Joe thinks you're a dude.
So I'm like, do I come off as Dudeley? And
he shrugged and said probably.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
So it turns out it's hill billy Jessica or something.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
It's a woman.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
So how about that hill billy jess As I wrote
back to her, I don't particularly care what chromosomes generate
great ideas and funny lines.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
I appreciate them and respect them. So cool.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
Anyway, let's see Ron rights guys, your segment on.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Time today was great.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
It was yesterday perspective on life, how young we are
as a people, as human beings.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
It's fascinating. Well, she wasn't so short. That could have
been a whole hour or s.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
I wouldn't mind it being the whole show and no
politics No Politics Day is extremely needed soon, in my opinion,
one idiot's two cents.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Keep it real, Ron, Thank.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
You, Ron, you know, and I almost felt apologetic for
just doing something about life and time in the universe
as opposed to the minute of the stupid, stupid headlines.
It is time for us to do what we have
been doing in that time is every day. I just
saw the video. I just saw the video of show

(16:45):
Hey Tani's dog. That's a cute dog and they seem
to have a very nice relationship. That's good, that's super
that was nice, that was charming.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
Moving along well, the thirty seconds were almost done. Guys.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
I don't give a crap what you guys say. RFK
Junior is a hero to me. How many modern politicians
do you know?

Speaker 1 (17:05):
What?

Speaker 2 (17:05):
The cajones to chainsaw the head off a whale or
skin a bear?

Speaker 1 (17:09):
Huh? He didn't skin the bear, He.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
Just threw it on the trail in Central Park.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
Just one.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
The guy to rip the lid off corporate capture of
the government is fear.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Is the guy to rip the head off a whale?

Speaker 2 (17:22):
Boy?

Speaker 1 (17:24):
We had more time, More news topics coming up. Stay
with this, Trum and Getty.

Speaker 6 (17:29):
And here's that new Fox News poll showing Harris with
a slight lead over Donald Trump in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada
states Trump lost four years ago. In North Carolina, Trump
is up one point in a state he won in
twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
There is technically, if you're into statistics, no such thing
as being up one point, as it's within the margin
of era.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Those are all ties.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
It's a tide race, the overall number and the sun
Belt states as they call them, And you can look
at it in a number of different ways if you
want to. You could say that Trump's big lead over
Biden has disappeared, or you could look at it as
Harris had the greatest five weeks in the history of
campaigning in terms of coverage and advantages of all different kinds.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
And it's a tide race. So depending on how.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
You a she's a legendarily weak candidates, so you it's
one or two.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
Look toward the future. I can tell you what I
think is going to happen. I think you could assume
she's at the high point, but it's hard to say no.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
Yeah, And you know what, we all get to find
out together. And as James Carvill said just a week ago,
I owned Bill Maher the other night. Look, look, if
we're up by one, we're down by two, which the
Democrat has to win by three points nationally to probably
win the president's election.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
She's up by one, so they're down by two.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
So we decided, since we got a bunch of great
emails and they touch on some of the more interesting
and important issues of the day, we would just plunge
on with mailpeg. I wanted to finish John's note because
it is very amusing. He says, I don't give a
crap what you guys say. RFK Junior is a hero
to me. How many modern politicians you know with the
cajones to chainsaw whales, head off or skin a pair. Again,

(19:07):
he didn't skin the bear, but just one the one
guy to rip off the lidoff corporate capture of the
government so completely.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
He's feared like no man ever.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
As part of Trump's Team's gonna be the ruthless baby,
the CDC, the FDA. They're gonna feel like the well
got it easy after my man Bobby rips into him.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
All right, sure that's the case. I still think he's
half a crackpot. It remains to be seen if it
helps Trump or not. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Yeah, yeah, Mark, come ining on the show yesterday, Mark
from San Francisco. Hard to believe that you were critical
and sarcastic about, of all things, claw foot tubs, they're
beautiful and wonderful to take a bath in.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
I wish I had one. Okay, fantastic.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
We're gonna get past the very very light stuff in
a second. But I can't resist. Can't listen every hour
of your show every day?

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Why not?

Speaker 2 (19:54):
Not?

Speaker 1 (19:54):
With that attitude? You can't stick.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
If you haven't mentioned it, the n Miss doctor Fauchi
was hospitalized last week with West.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
Nile virus in Armah.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
Yeah, no, kidding, Well, there are days I wish life
or it's like that.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
I don't think it does.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
No, and him dying doesn't make anything better, all right,
getting closer to substance. Uh. We were suggesting that Dana
Bash distinguished herself as still kind of a journalist in
the Biden Trump debate, asked reasonable questions, as did Jake

(20:29):
Tapper and Dan Walnut Creek rites.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
I think you're wrong about Dana Bash. I hope you're not.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
But I think quite possibly that the Democratic Party staged
or allowed the Biden Trump debate to go on. The
television network was in on it for the purpose of
exposing Biden to get him out of the race. There's
a possibility that they didn't mind driving him out of
the race. Certainly, as you've said many times, I would
love to read that book when it's written.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
You said, what and at what point? Because may.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
And again I am not trying to blow my own
horn here and certainly not flexible enough.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
But that's a terrible but I'm.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
When I was saying, I was completely confident Joe Biden
would not be the candidate on the ticket in November.
I was completely confident of that fact. It seems self
evident to me. I couldn't have been the only one.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
I know me.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
I'm not a crackpot. So it was a mistake for
Trump to take that early debate. That is a fun
and interesting question, soaked.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
With high reading. I know.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
National Review the other day said this might be the
most disastrous success in the history of anything. He trounced
his opponent so good it drove them out of the
competition to get replaced by somebody stronger. That's not a goal,
is it normally? In essence, yeah, that is what happened.
It was less a trouncing than an exposure. But yeah,

(21:56):
uh yeah, it is again tripping with irony than this.
I thought this deserved a little respect from a Brian
forever wars explainer from a dumb millennial. I would not
call you that, Brian, but anyway, guys, this is hijo
more directed at Jack. I've got eighteen years of service
in both active duty and reserve Air Force. Spent much

(22:17):
of my twenties and thirties flying in a rock in Afghanistan,
supporting the dudes during the hard doing the hard work
on the ground. I'm now forty two. Jack might would
define me as an isolationist. My peers, my bros, my
generation us that witnessed up close the waste of life
and treasure in these words war as. We're passionately against
repeating history. This is why Tulsy and RFK are so
appealing in their endorsement of Trump. Confirms that we were

(22:39):
casting our vote for the right direction. We are pro
American military might, while at the same time have the
wisdom from two decades a war with no end goal.
If we commit to a battle, it must be of
a defined purpose and clearly desired end state, or there
should be no American blood spent. Jack speaks as though
a person can only be an isolationist or a warhawk.
To me, it's more a spectrum, like an introvert or

(22:59):
an extra vers Well, I think I would agree with
you on that. The problem is to me, is Iraq
terrible idea should have never done in Afghanistan.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
Man I was saying for over a decade, Why are
we still there?

Speaker 2 (23:12):
Completely different circumstance with letting Russia run over Europe or
Israel get blown off the map as the only democracy
and free country in the Middle East and signaling to
China that hey, open season on taking countries. Yeah, I
appreciate Brian's note, just because so much of political discourse,

(23:33):
especially online, is just people shouting slogans at each other
and then stating that anybody who doesn't believe in my
slogan and reject their own as an idiot. There's a
nuance to all of this. But yeah, irak Iss stupid
idea executed poorly Afghanistan, a good idea that was absolutely
infected with mission creep, which is what Brian's talking about.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
We can't have that.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
Here's where it gets much more gray, because everything is
shades of gray in foreign politics and in war. How about,
for instance, American naval might ensuring that the South China
Sea the Pacific in general remain open to international navigation

(24:19):
being there. When China probes for weakness to respond with strength,
that is, particularly if it gets any more belligerent, that
will be something like a forever war.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
It's a forever presence.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
And I would and again I'm not disagreeing with Brian,
I'm agreeing with them just to you know, bringing up others,
you know, tangential topics. What about the fact that in
the Middle East or Africa there are burgeoning pockets of
ISIS and al Qaeda and Boko Haram and if we

(24:54):
let those infections spread, they will spread horrific instability around
the world.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Well, that's way it's a bit of a forever war. Two,
that's way more gray because it's difficult to.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
See your successes or identify when it's become a problem.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
The whole shipping lanes thing, though, there's.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
Either free and freight free and free shipping, free shipping lanes,
free trade around the world, or there isn't, and there
has been for a very long time. The Brits and
then the United States making sure that was true. That's
either continues or it doesn't. So that's that's like a
very clear this needs to be done to me, completely

(25:34):
different than.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
What are we trying to accomplish in Iraq? Why are
we still in Afghanistan?

Speaker 2 (25:38):
Which was a question the whole time, right, absolutely, yeah,
well said at the same time, I would support a
Trumpian demand that our valuable partners play more of a
significant role in projection of glob the global power of
Western civilization. So again, these are valid questions, a great questions,

(26:00):
great topic, and let's not shout slogans at each other.
And so many times, and again I'm not blaming Brian
for this. People have acted as though what I considered
to be the legitimate and restrained projection of American power
is quote unquote another forever war. I just don't think
it's legit. But anyway, friends can certainly disagree. Why don't

(26:21):
we bring you a quick bit of information from our
friends lam security. I would love it if ever we
had a debate where the presidential candidates would have the
conversation we just had with the emailer on one.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
Side and like us on the air, and that level
of conversation.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
But we never get that sort of thing, you and
your silly boyish fantasies, no kidding, And that used to
be the case. You go back a couple of decades,
especially three four decades with trust, which trust me as
an old guy, is not that long ago. Yeah, you
would have had a lot of subtlety and policy differences.

(26:58):
Exchange respectively respectfully. Rather, I guess we get the government
in the debates we deserve.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
Anyway, simply save home security.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
Their twenty four to seven monitoring agents are standing by
to protect you, and if someone tries to break into
your house, whether you're there, God forbid or not, they
can send emergency help when you need it most, and
they can respond within five seconds.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Whoa of receiving your alarm? Had did it my old place?
Set it up at my new place? Yeah, set it
up myself.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
It's not that hard to do now if you want
to simply say to help you, they got professional people
to do that for you. But simply safe's all kind
of simple, simple to order the right package for your home,
simple to set up, simple to use, and there's no contract.
You're not locked into anything if you decide that you
don't want it, but you're probably going to because it's
the best out there. And the beautiful thing about simply Safe,

(27:45):
aside from the fact that it's better and less expensive,
less than a buck a day for the twenty four
to seven monitoring is. You can custom make it to
your home and your needs, Like you got porch pirates
or some obnoxious neighbor and you want that outdoor high
def camera night end day. They've got that for you.
If you don't care about that stuff. They have fire sensors,
flood sensors, everything. Customize it for yourself. Protect your home
all year long with twenty percent off any new simply

(28:06):
safe system. When you sign up for fast protect monitoring.
Visit simply safe dot com, slash armstrong, simply safe dot com,
slash armstrong. There's no safe like simply safe.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
So the the interview is being taped at one five
Eastern and then airs at nine o'clock Eastern. So that's
a lot of hours for CNN to have that thing
in the can or editors and have AI change your words.
I don't really going down that road. I don't expect
that at all. Actually, oh did you see? Did I

(28:38):
tweet that or send her to the crew via text.
There's a new AI video out directed by a couple
of brothers who do this sort of thing.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
It reminds me of the JibJab. Guys.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
There there's so much incredible creativity going on right now,
and it's there on the internet, mostly for free. But
it was an AI generated video with essentially home invasion
after home invasion committed by Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Vladimir Putin,
Kim Jong Un, Shijin Ping, completely realistic like security camera

(29:16):
and footage of all of these world leaders in ya.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Who's committing home invasion robberies? Yeah, I'm looking at it
right now.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
There's Hillary breaking into a vending machine. There's doctor Fauci
breaking into a home. Yeah, that's right, Fauci is that
is troubling? How good that is. There's Joe Biden shooting people,
robbing them at gunpoint. That's troubling. That AI is that
far already and only going to go farther. So we

(29:44):
don't have much time left. But one more email that
I thought was interesting. We hit you guys yesterday with
some statistics from a Wall Street Journal poll about the
American Dream and whether it was within reach without out
of reach. And what was really interesting about the way
it was worded was that they were breathlessly report that
a number of people believed it was out of reach,
but the specific wording of the question. The question was

(30:06):
do you think achieving these things will be easy or
fairly easy? And a lot of people said no, I
don't think it'll be easy, never has been, it never
will be. And it was just so odd that the journal,
like the beacon of realism to me to a large
extent in American journalism, had such a bizarre premise.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
And we got this note from jag Easy. I just
retired at sixty seven and a half.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
I still have a mortgage for ten more years, have
a half a million bucks in my four to one k.
I did not own my first new car until age fifty.
My light husband and I never went to Europe, never
went on a cruise, and I had older model TVs
and appliances for many years. Everything I owned today was
due to sacrifice in patience. You cannot give to every
self indulgence and expect to have a nest egg when
you reach sixty five. But we live in a society

(30:54):
that self denial is a dirty word and a reason
to blame other people for your lack of foresight and
willingness sacrifice. I told this story before it floored me
my uncle Carl, my Dad's younger brother. It was at
a period of my life where I had a bunch
of kind of dead endish jobs. I was like twenty
three years old. I was working in radio and a
couple other jobs, and I was talking about that with
my uncle and I said, man, it's hard out there,

(31:15):
and he said always has been. And it just floored
me for some reason. It's like, oh, yeah, right, that's
probably true. It's never been easy to figure out a
path and you know, get ahead and do the things
you want to do. And acting like it's harder now
is embarrassing that that's the way I took it.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:37):
Yeah, that reminds me of what I've said many times.
I can't think of a single time in my life
I was humbled that it didn't do me some good.

Speaker 1 (31:42):
Yeah, always has been. Jack.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
Yeah, that man, that, for whatever reason, was just the
right time. It just hit me like a ton of bricks.
I think perspective is over mentioned and underappreciated.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
And it gets to that poll, right there, is it
easy to buy us?

Speaker 2 (31:57):
When has it been easy to come out of high
school come up.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
With enough money to buy a house? What? And to
have a comfortable retirement?

Speaker 2 (32:06):
Yes? And who suggested it should be. Do you have
a number of questions for you people? How are you
going to craft a society where that's the case. We've
got Y's Katie's headlines on the way. So the Dodgers
game last night, the biggest player in the world seven
hundred million dollar contract, uh show. Heyo Tani's dog throughout

(32:27):
the first pitch, picked up off the mound and ran
it to home plate, which is pretty darn cute and
pretty decent training for a dog. With fifty thousand people
yelling to keep your dog, for your dog to stay
focused on that, that's pretty cool. Anyways in a pitch, Yeah, amen,
I'm with Katie. What breed of a beast? Are we
talking about? Border collorish sort of thing? Looks like maybe

(32:49):
a cross or a month But anyways, like my dog Backster,
he's half the border collie shoe. Heyo Tani does seem
to have a good relationship with his dog, Jack, probably
thinking this is a little guy, will never embezzle fifteen million
dollars from me?

Speaker 1 (33:02):
Who's a good boy? Who's a good boy? You know
that's funny. You stole my punchline.

Speaker 2 (33:06):
I was about to say, of course, the dog stole
five million dollars for gambling.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
Right the border, Collie is secure. Oh wow, wow, I
don't know. I don't know. Let's figure out who's reporting what.
It's the lead story with Katie Green, Katie, thank you guys.
ABC News.

Speaker 3 (33:28):
Twelve killed as IDF launches large raids in the west Bank.

Speaker 2 (33:33):
West Bank, Right, completely different front in the war, although
all the same thing.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
Yeah, yeah, different yet the same.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
From the Washington Post, Harris to give key interview in
Georgia as Trump holds town hall in Wisconsin.

Speaker 2 (33:51):
Yeah, there's a lot going on today. I could go
through the schedule later if anybody cares. But Harris has
a town hall with walls, and Trump's doing a couple
events and the big interview, of course it airs on
CNN tonight.

Speaker 3 (34:04):
From The Guardian, Ukraine steps up calls to use Allies
weapons inside Russia.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
Yeah, God, dang it.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
That's got to be so frustrating to Zelenski. Hey, they're
sending in drones and missiles and killing us and turning
off our electricity. We've got the we got the ability
to stop them. How about you let us? Hey, mister president, Yeah,
I can't hear you. Well, you're obviously on the beach.
You know those last twenty six incremental steps that you
finally let us do. We'd like to make a twenty

(34:32):
seventh Well.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
I don't know. I have to think about it.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
Right, It would be hard to not say, Look, I
know you're going to, like in two months say this
is okay for no particular reason whatsoever.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
How about we do that today?

Speaker 3 (34:48):
From Fox News. Deliberate abuse of power. Republicans erupt after
bombshell Zuckerberg letter on COVID nineteen censorship.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
I'm glad people are finally waking up to this.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
Having the government censor by proxy by implying or explicitly
stating threats to their attack dog sensors in the private
industry is absolutely a violation of the First Amendment, and
it's abhorrent and all people ought to be against it.

Speaker 1 (35:18):
From The Free Beacon.

Speaker 3 (35:20):
Vermont Health Department discourages saying son and daughter in classrooms?

Speaker 1 (35:26):
What well s you?

Speaker 2 (35:28):
I want you to use child or kid? That is
so crazy, But we are in a cold war against
this ideology, folks. You've got to wake up to that
and start fighting it. From New York. And it's so
one sided though it's like ninety eight to two in
terms of who wants this.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
I can't believe it happens.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
All the more reason to take up arms or swing
fists or what have you.

Speaker 3 (35:51):
From the New York Post, armed crew flaunts guns inside
Colorado apartment building overrun by Venezuelan gang spilling out from
Sanctuary City.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Well, if you haven't seen this, go to Armstrong in
Getty dot com. It is troubling the US and Europe.

Speaker 2 (36:06):
Now vast foreign armed gangs controlling sections of cities.

Speaker 3 (36:10):
Great and finally, from the Babylon Bee, Strong capable woman
asks man to come with her to job interview.

Speaker 1 (36:18):
In case they ask her any hard.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
Questions, how do they how do they avoid that appearance tonight?
He's gonna have to be really demure, isn't he?

Speaker 1 (36:27):
Danapash got to ask him why you got a chaperone?
Why is he here? That'd be a good question Armstrong
