Chris Cairns: "I think Gary Stead got it wrong" on Will Young's selection snub - Sportstalk with D'Arcy Waldegrave

Belief from former Black Cap Chris Cairns that Will Young should be playing over Devon Conway in New Zealand's test series against England.

The Central Districts batter - who was named player of the series in the historic 3-nil whitewash of India last month - made way for a returning Kane Williamson in the red-ball squad.

Cairns says coach Gary Stead made a rare error by axing Young.

The second test in Wellington begins on Friday.
