Speaker 5 (01:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:09):

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Oh wow, feeling okay? Tired?

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Right, let's see how the show goes. This is break
number one.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
The only way out is forward.

Speaker 6 (01:23):
Right.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
If John gets like really quiet for the next hour
and a half, that means he's probably sitting on the
couch asleep.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Yeah. Yeah, if I got my head down, just leave
me be for a few minutes.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Lo Are you good? Great? All right, let's go eight
sixty six five four four of my FM text and
three one oh four three three one oh four three John?
Can you get that more on traffic?

Speaker 7 (01:46):
Hey?

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Heather?

Speaker 8 (01:47):
Hi valent trying?

Speaker 2 (01:48):
What are you doing, Heather? How's your day going?

Speaker 8 (01:50):
Not bad? Not bad? Pretty good? Damn? Just working?

Speaker 2 (01:53):
All right? What do you do for a living?

Speaker 8 (01:54):
I'm an office manager at a church in Long Beach.

Speaker 6 (01:57):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
You start your day early, don't you?

Speaker 8 (02:00):
I do? I do, but I get off early also
that works.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Yeah, a lot of people I know like work East
Coast schedules. Then they get off early and they like
that too.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Church has the best lemonade?

Speaker 2 (02:11):
What church has the best lemonade after service? Not every
church does lemonade, by the.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
Way, every church I've gone to has lemonade really afterwards, yes, okay,
and like different denominations, like I went to Catholic Catholic
church growing up, and then I went to a Christian
church after that, and there was always lemonade when you
exited the church, really, and it's the best tasting.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
I cannot tell you the last time I saw lemonade
coming out of church. Really, And I go to church
more than you.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
Oh yeah nowadays, Yes, I can't tell you the last
time I've been to church.

Speaker 8 (02:43):
We don't have sorry, we don't have lemonade, but we
do have donuts.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Okay, so that's what do you wash those donuts down?

Speaker 8 (02:51):
With? Coffee?

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Yeah? A lot of churches have coffee now, especially like
non denominational churches. They have the coffee up front and
you can bring it inside. I'm like, oh, this is fantastic,
real nice. Don't have a cup of coffee.

Speaker 8 (03:03):
You know, it's pretty nice.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Yeah, we didn't do that Catholic church show. There's too
many ups and downs. You'd be spilling stuff everywhere.

Speaker 8 (03:10):
That is true.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Then it was always great too, because you knew the
second meal down. Oh we're so close, you do that
second meel down. Oh this is it. Now we're out.
It's after communion. Off we go. We're out of here.

Speaker 8 (03:21):
I'm like the tail end of it. And you're like,
all right, here we go.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Yeah, yeah, you wanted to get home for a football
game or something. Then Father Gatarowski got rest his soul.
Father God, he was dude to have you out of
there in like thirty nine minutes.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Oh so great, that's short.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Yes, yeah, the football game director, he was trying to
get out of there too. I thought it because it
always timed out, like going to the Catholic church as
a kid, that after services, whatever we went to, there's
always a football game coming up, so that or a
baseball game the Red Sox are playing. And Father Gatarowski
loved his sports, so he was just like he'd get
up there and it's a time for end to do
sole homily or whatever, and he's like a right, listen,

(04:01):
you've all sinned. Do better. Maybe the father's on the
what the.

Speaker 5 (04:07):
So good?

Speaker 8 (04:10):
I like that I wanted to tell you last week,
you guys were talking about the daughter from Hell stories, right, Yeah,
we were very proud of you. I'm very proud of you.
Why because you just casually dropped about the chancolub Oh
that's right. Yeah, yeah, I'm very proud of you for
knowing that.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Yeah. I never got hit with the chancolas, but I
know about people throwing the chocolates. Joll throws her chocolates
in the studio.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Yeah, all the time.

Speaker 8 (04:34):
Good. You gotta keep them on their toes, Joe.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Always, Heather, you got it.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Yeah, And that's how we saw her toes. And it
was a very sturdy base once she took those chocolates
off here, Like look at those feet there.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Yeah, there's size eleven, so they.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Yeah, you really can't duck from a size eleven. It's
so big coming at you.

Speaker 8 (04:50):
Yeah, Joe, I'm a size eleven. I get it.

Speaker 5 (04:52):
Look at us.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Go, what is that compared to like a man's size?
Is that like a fourteen or something?

Speaker 1 (04:57):
You go down to, Yah, you go down to yeah,
be nine.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Oh that's not that big then, No, it seems bigger
impression somebody.

Speaker 8 (05:04):
If she throws it, right, it can.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (05:08):
Right.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
Luckily I have a narrow foot, so it looks a
lot smaller than a wider eleven.

Speaker 8 (05:13):
You know, No, I have a white foot, so if
I were to throw that and my kids, I would
definitely get them.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Yeah, come in here, and let's get your chocolates.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Oather.

Speaker 8 (05:21):
But I'm so proud of you for knowing that knowing
chocolate's okay, Well, I appreciate you.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Hehather, you call any time, okay.

Speaker 8 (05:27):
All right, bye, guys, I have a great k all right.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
You guys want to reach out to the show if
you're up and moving on a Monday morning, three one
oh four three's are a text line three one oh
four three or call eight six six five four four
my FM one A four to three my family. It
is balance out of the morning. Eli. What are you

(05:52):
doing many?

Speaker 5 (05:54):
How are you? Good morning?

Speaker 2 (05:55):
How are you doing?

Speaker 9 (05:56):
I'm good? How are you?

Speaker 2 (05:57):
We're doing all right too? All right? So Eli texted
Friday and our topic was over at the time. He texted,
but I wanted to give you a chance to tell
you a story in the air today. How are you
a son from Hell?

Speaker 9 (06:07):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (06:08):
My god?

Speaker 9 (06:08):
So I got a story for you. So one weekend
I was I.

Speaker 10 (06:12):
Had to stay at my grandparents' house and my grandmother
invited my two other cousins and my mom. My grandmother
used to have this like papertwel dispenser, and my cousins
decided to start wedding them and throw them at each other.

Speaker 5 (06:25):
And I wasn't.

Speaker 10 (06:26):
Playing alone, but I got hit by one right at
the exact moment that my grandmother had walked into the kitchen.
So I got a spanking from my grandmother, and I
was so angry about it, just because I felt like
it wasn't it wasn't fair to me.

Speaker 9 (06:40):
But she used to have this this plastic.

Speaker 10 (06:43):
Runner in the hallway and underneath there was like these spikes, right,
and that's what held them on the carpet, yes, right,
So while she was sleeping, I went and I flipped
it over to get her back for spanking me. And
then in the morning I just kind of waited, you know,
for the response or you know, for the reaction from her,
and sure enough, it sure didn't disappoint and she was

(07:05):
she said basically every word in Spanish that you can
think of.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
You flipped it over. So she stepped on those spikes yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
You left grandmother Eli.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Yeah did she bleed?

Speaker 5 (07:20):
No? No, no, they weren't that bad. But it was
funny because I recently.

Speaker 10 (07:23):
Told this story to my mom about a month ago,
and she was like, you did not and I was like.

Speaker 9 (07:27):
Yes, I go. She spanked me.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
I I didn't deserve it. I was just I happened
to just walk in.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Yeah, you're the wrong place, wrong time, right right. Wow.

Speaker 10 (07:35):
I'll say that there was another incident where she had
she had put a program on where it was like
a magician and where they pulled the you know, the
the table linen, you know, real.

Speaker 5 (07:45):
Fast, and everything stays in place.

Speaker 10 (07:47):
This was before the era where they started saying like
please don't try this at home. And she had this,
she had this console table where she had all these
porcelain figurines and I was doing the calculations and I
was probably maybe about eight or nine years old, and I.

Speaker 9 (08:02):
Thought I had it. So I grabbed the end of
that linen and did one quick tug and.

Speaker 5 (08:08):
Yeah, it wasn't good. It wasn't good at all.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
That what did she do to you that time?

Speaker 9 (08:13):
She told my mom that that either that she.

Speaker 10 (08:17):
Was going to need to replace them or that I
that she was gonna have to find another place or
to send me to my mom's sister and my aunt.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Yeah, I think you misheard. I think she said she
needs to replace you. Good gottie. That's a good story man.
All right, brother, Well, thanks for calling it and I appreciate you.

Speaker 9 (08:35):
You li Hey, no problem you guys, take care of
have a great day, you.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
Too, man, Thank you? One four three one A four
to three myth fam it it's Valentine in the morning.
Good morning. We started up for one thousand dollar Philip again.
Uh for the week. If you take that word that
we gave you at six to the website, one of

(08:58):
four three mith and dot, you put it in that
little window pops up with yourself one thousand dollars. So, honestly,
Friday night.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
We're going tomorrow?

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Are you really?

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (09:07):
I just got out this morning. It's long, it's good
cinematic endeavor. I'm not gonna tell you too much about
I want to hear your opinion when you see it tomorrow. Okay, right,
are you going to a place where they serve food
and stuff?

Speaker 3 (09:19):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
It's going to be in Ontario, oof, So I don't
know oof. But it is Imax of course, all right, Okay,
it's supposed to be one of the best IMAX theaters
in the country.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Seventie yes. Interesting, I think so, there's only like forty
one in the entire country.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Interesting.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Yeah, that's why this movie is so fascinating, so fast,
and no movie has been completely filmed in Imax like
this one.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Really, yes, And I'm concerned about if they served your
food or I know things, dude.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
Everybody's saying that this is Christopher Nolan's second.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Best film, his first best one being The Dark Knight.
The Dark Knight. Okay, it was interesting.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
I was like watching an interview with Anne Hathaway and
she was saying because no movie had been filmed like this,
there was no veteran on site when they were filming
this movie. Everyone was kind of figuring things out for
the folks for the first time because Christopher Nolan had
to build things for the camera and they had to
like do different things in the way they were acting
just because they were filming it differently, just because they're
really camera is huge, oh is it really? And it's

(10:22):
so loud that that's why they can't really film full
movies that way. So Christopher Nolan invented this carbon fiber
box that goes around the camera so that way you
wouldn't hear it. But it's so big that in intimate
scenes the actors couldn't look at each other, so they
had to build mirrors on the camera and they were
looking at each other through a series of mirrors.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Oh yeah, and you.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Can only record three minutes at a time for the
entire movie. What really is that not insane? Well, that
seems like that'll change, we know, so, but that's just
the way it is.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
Well, think about like a computer chip, how big it
used to be and how much you know it costs
the RAM and now we have little teeny things that
are so massive.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Yeah, I think they'll figure that out eventually.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
But I didn't know was only three minutes a time,
and then it was so loud.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
Yeah, so that's why I like all the actors on
the side. Didn't matter how season of an actor you were,
they were all helping each other figure it out for
the first time.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
What good news is this movie has some pretty loud
parts in it. Yeah. So, uh, even if the cameras
making noise, you wouldn't have heard it. You wouldn't have
heard it.

Speaker 5 (11:28):
Got God, God, God good.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
One on one O four to three. My famin his
vallence out in the morning, six twenty five. Good morning
to you. Talk to my kid off the air. He's
in Boston at Frog Camp for TCU. Right, frog Camp,
that's there, kind of like, uh, what were you guys
at season? We were tightened tight. Yeah, it'd be like
they had a Titan camp or something like that.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
Right, I was the Matadors.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
Yeah, if you had Matta door camp. So they have
Frog Camp. Why they picked Boston, I don't know. I
guess they picked different cities across the country so kids
who are coming from different areas it's easier for them
to get to instead of saying at the university. And
of course, my pig, my pig, my kid, my broke
best friend. I picked the furthest one he could. So

(12:09):
he picked Boston. So I was going to catch a
socks game or something and there you go, and great.
So I've been trying to track him and I got
so bad with the tracking last night. I didn't even
tell this when I got her. I guess by the tracking,
it's like did he take off? Did he not? Was
confusing in the American Airlines app. If he took off, said,
I found this thing, this flight trackery thing were you
can actually track the plane in the air. You can

(12:29):
track like every plane in the air. Oh yes, really,
you've done it.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
My husband is obsessed. Yes, he loves that ass.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
He likes it just for fundsies, right right, just for fun.
I was tracking my kid.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Isn't that how they find all the rich people's private jets? Yes,
that app right there right.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
Yeah, so my my rich kids private jets also known
as American Airlines. Yeah, so I was tracking that.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
All night long, all night long, all night.

Speaker 5 (12:54):
No.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
Once the news in the air, I was fine. Then
I went to sleep. But that was like at twelve
thirty or something like that.

Speaker 8 (12:59):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
Yeah, I know. But you're exhausted too. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
Man, my flight got delayed and then and then delayed
on the tarmac.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
When did you land last night?

Speaker 1 (13:06):
Three am?

Speaker 2 (13:07):
Three eight?

Speaker 1 (13:08):
So you just came here, thanks for that couch, buddy, Yeah,
that's right exactly. I came in, just took a little
of power nap here.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
That's the best. That couched the great and that's the best.
We can't get rid of it, ever, No, it's got
some great memories. We need it, dude.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Otherwise where wud Laura's said.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Yeah, Laras is in the couch. It's her desk. We
have a couch in the studio when people come in
for couch visits, and I think we're we're trying to
fill out some slots. Actually just opened up, so people
come in for couch visits and that's where they sit
and watch the show. So we do like a live
studio audience here in the studio and stand. It just
gives you, well, John, John Peak wants to have a

(13:40):
thing where it's like coffee tables where you put down
your coffee and stuff like did you see barista in here? John,
Let's get that going. We all sat all right, it's
one of four to three MI fan. We get a

Speaker 1 (14:01):
No, they didn't tour for a while.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
Took no that they never went anywhere?

Speaker 3 (14:04):

Speaker 5 (14:04):

Wendy High's eighties to mid nineties, Umber seventies to the
Beaches sixty eight and Arrovia seventy one point of Park.

(14:37):

Speaker 4 (14:39):
Of course, Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey was number one at
the box office. But how did it do compared to
his other films. I'll tell you at six fifty.

You had to watch party TikTok radios watch party right right? Gotcha?
Uh so he did a watch party in New York
for the FIFA World Cup. Congratulations a Spanya, what's going on?
Could you said? Honest? So he's got a great story
about a hot dog gone wrong. This hot dog ended
up in the wrong hole. It's a crazy place. Yeah,
can you imagine the story that's the hot dog ends

(15:31):
up in the wrong hole. That's coming up. Plus today's
dumb game call us eight sixty six five four four,
fam if you guys want to play.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
It's been setting every new.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
One O four to three. My fam, it is Valentine
in the Morning. Great news. Her guys just found this out.
And this is so exciting to me that Jill and
Jeff did something together. And I know we have so
many stories to tell you today, but please bear with
me for a second. In our game the Valentine and
Morning Listener feud, Jill wrote the first question. Jeff, her husband,
wrote the second question, Oh yes, which means we have

(16:11):
found somebody else to do our work job.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
This is great, and I really like his question.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
Like, oh this is good, Jill, what do you love
about me? What do you love about me? And then
that's it.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
That's a question.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
And I don't like. We can't use chat GPT. It
has to come from our own brains.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Right, right. And you told that to John Camuci as well,
that we can't use chat GPT, right, how you get that?

Speaker 4 (16:31):
Next it's to Valentine in the morning listener, if youw
We asked our listeners two questions, one from me, one
from Jeff.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
Get to the top five answers and your job.

Speaker 4 (16:44):
Ask contestants to tell us what those top five answers are.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
By the way, kiss, you're new to our show. Jeff
is Jill's husband who apparently now is doing some side work,
some contract work for iHeartMedia. We're very excited about this. Yes,
let's meet today's contestants. Adrian, good morning, and Whitty or

mascot somebody might find attractive. What are you thinking?

Speaker 8 (17:40):
You know?

Speaker 11 (17:40):
The first thing that came to mind was telling the.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Tiger ding ding ding, he's on there. A nice job,
Tony the tiger. There is one? Okay, who else? Goodness?

Speaker 11 (17:55):
How about the lepicon for lucky charms?

Speaker 1 (17:58):
Lucky Charms.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
No, he's not on there. He's not on there, So
it's one strike. You get two more strikes in one.

Speaker 11 (18:05):
Right, mascot. This is harder than it sounds.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
Yeah, think about it. Think about TV commercials and stuff.
You see people on there.

Speaker 11 (18:15):
Oh gosh, the browny.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
Guy, the bronny guy. Number one. Answer to the bronny guy,
about ten seconds left? You got two? Right?

Speaker 1 (18:25):
Okay, mister clean, stop it, you're on fire.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
Well five seconds.

Speaker 11 (18:34):
I don't think I'm going to get another one a because.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
You're thinking, you know what, you're thinking yourself. You gotta
think who would I have found attractive? Put your times
out all right, here we go. Number five was miss Chikida,
the Chaquida banana lady. My gosh, when she'd let her
fruit down. Girl, look out, mister clean Tony, the Tiger,

(18:58):
the green Eminem and the brown man love Eminem. What
a bunch, guys. We need some eye candidate. We need
some mascots that we men can find attractor.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
She got those white boots.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
Oh she's a girl. Yeah okay, yeah, yeah, alright, this
is fine.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
Come on, everyone can find him at okoy John.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
So you got three right, that's pretty good. So let's
move on to you. Adrian. Your question is name a
place that is socially unacceptable to start dancing. Name a
place that people think, our listeners think is socially unacceptable
to start dancing. Top five answers on the board. You
get forty five seconds of possible three strikes. Let's see
what you got. Funeral a funeral? Number one answer, nice job,

(19:47):
usually your dancing with yourself at a funeral, Because dude,
we did a job interview that's on there.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
Yeah, yes, m m times joinning out about fifteen seconds left.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Oh you have time. We're over there, dude. A christening.
A christening is not on their interesting answer.

Speaker 5 (20:18):
Though inappropriate place to d a.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
Inappropriate place to start dancing, socially unacceptable. Not inappropriate, but
socially unacceptable. Like what are you doing? You can't dance here?
Five seconds in an elevator? An elevator's on there. Nice job,
and there's a time. All right, so you got that's
not bad. You got three rights. So you tied up elevator, courtroom,

(20:43):
public restroom, job, interview, and a funeral. Not bad, guys, both.
I'm very impressed for like a Monday morning y'all did that.
That's very good.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
Yes, Joe, you both win? Why we can give you both?

Speaker 2 (20:56):
We know we can't do that. We can't, No, we can't.
We can't having a game.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
I've never done that before.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
We never did that, Joe, Like, why, but then what's
the point of people calling in if they all know
they're gonna win. What's the point you've been having a gain?
That has to be winners losers? Are we givings? Excuse me?
Are we also giving something to Argentina. No, Argentina second place.

Speaker 3 (21:15):
To do something nice?

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Yeah, but I mean you can't just all right, fine,
we get a penalty shots. Okay, go ahead, somebody say
something rude about Jill. Oh my gosh, what No.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
I know what you were about to say.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
Show you out.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
That was a penalty shot.

Speaker 9 (21:33):
I am I am team Joe. I've been on your comments.
I've been supporting you since they one.

Speaker 2 (21:38):

about Jill and Jennifer didn't say a single word.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
Thank you, Jennifer appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
We'll see where your seats are our Adrian, I guess
we'll get you all. I appreciate you. Olivia Dean, this
is so easy. It's one of four three, my event,
I could be the twist.

Speaker 6 (22:09):
And want to make the stuff on your okay, cherry on.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
One of four three, my fam, it's Valentin in the morning.
Story is gonna say about you? What was I gonna say
about you because John, Yeah, what we're talking about with you?
Or something else? Because John's hot dog story was looming
so good, and there was something about you that I
wanted to talk about. Oh, I thought we said something
on the air to tease something about it. He was that,
guess where are we man?

Speaker 1 (22:42):
Because you said you remember this other John to talk
story is coming up. Yes, I have a story about.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
Jill or something. Honestly, it's gonna talk about Odyssey. Yes,
that's what it was, because you actually want to hear
about that. Guys, you really think that radio shows are taped,
not this, not this one. I can point to a
bunch up and down on the dial that our taped
that they don't even live here. For people live on
islands and do radio in Los Angeles.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
There's a lot of them, though there's.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Actually more than you know, really yeah, this morning you
know yea, And sometimes it's not it's not always a
morning shift, like there are people at other stations different
dis joys, yeah and mod and they come on the
air to go good morning, good afternoon, and then they
get off to go and I'm like, Okay, you're living
in two different lives. Good for you. So, yeah, this

(23:28):
show is here in the moment, live with you on
this Monday morning. It's six forty eight. I saw Odyssey fantastic.
It's fantastic. Yeah, it's it's always tough because things get
so overhyped, right, And if you don't know the story,
it doesn't matter. You know, you could not know the
story Colin read the Odyssey.

Speaker 1 (23:44):
Is it probably matter if you don't know the story.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
Because I think it's fine another way. Honestly, Yeah, it's
fine other way because it's still such a cinematic endeavor.
One of our friends actually was a producer on there,
and I saw her name like third credit in No
It's like, oh my gosh, I'm so excited for and
it was just it's amazing sex.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
Now.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
I don't know what I saw it in, Okay, I
saw it at the fancy restaurant or the fancy place
where you give me food, that's right. Yeah, And the
fish and chips was back, Oh my.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
God, being a little upset last chip.

Speaker 2 (24:15):
Yeah, Ceopis or Synopolis or Doopolis or whatever that place, right,
and who does not forget Yeah, he took fish and
chips off the menu. And I saw fish and chips
back listen, it's not amazing, but I like fish and chips.
I grew up with that.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
Yeah, and uh and I was like, all right, let
me give it a shot. It was okay, but I
was glad it was back in the menu. Sa Anyway,
the movie fantastic, fantastic. Who's it The young man that's
in this I forget his name, Tom Holler see a
spider man or something?

Speaker 2 (24:41):
Yes, right, yes, no, it's weird because he shoots a
web but he shoots a web out of his hand
at one point in the movie crazy right, But there
was a story. Tom Holland's mom goes to the premiere
and after the premiere she goes, I didn't realize he
had such a big part. Yeah, way, yeah, this is
a huge part in this movie.

Speaker 1 (25:02):
Right, And he's like, MoMA's gone for months, Like, what
did you think I was doing?

Speaker 5 (25:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (25:06):
Yeah, And then you know, obviously Matt Damon. You can
probably much figure out what Matt Damon's role is in
this movie that I'll be telling you. And somebody said,
how much money have we spent on trying to find
and save Matt Damon from saving Private Ryan to this
to the marsh Interstellar, the Martian. We need to get
Matt Damon home, lock him up. The world has spent

(25:29):
too much money trying to find this guy or trying
to save this guy. It's out of control, right. Yeah.
People were trying to in the Born Supremacy, Identity, all
those things. We're trying to find him then too. Matt
Damon needs to go on Life three sixty so everybody
can figure out where he is at all times. But movie,
fantastic script, the actors, everybody, the cinematic endeavor that it was,

(25:49):
and the powerful movie that it is. It's really really good.

Speaker 3 (25:51):
I want to see it tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
You'll enjoy You'll enjoy it. I don't want to overhype
because when people overhype, no matter how good something is,
you know, and then they go, good hoo it was yeah,
but it really it's a great movie. It's a great,
great movie. They good job. One oh four to three.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
MYFM. Here's what's coming up.

Speaker 4 (26:06):
In entertainment headlines, we now know the most watched series
on Netflix in the last four years.

Speaker 3 (26:15):
Have you seen these shows? I'll tell you what they are.
Right after traffic entertainment headlines and speaking.

Speaker 4 (26:20):
Of the Odyssey, it made one hundred and twenty four
point five million dollars it's opening weekend, the third biggest
debut of the year and the strongest opening of Christopher
Nolan's career since The Dark Night. It made two hundred
and sixty four million dollars globally. If I Wanna coming
in at number two, and Minions and Monsters coming in
at number three.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
No cell phones on the set when they were doing this,
he locked up everybody's cell phones who had no water
bottles in the set because they made too much noise,
I guess, and no ugs?

Speaker 1 (26:48):
No, what would you have done?

Speaker 6 (26:50):
Well?

Speaker 2 (26:50):
I have wore my ugs in years, but I've been like,
how dare you say no to uggs? Mister Nolan? Excuse me, sir.
I'm with you on the cell phone bit, but the
ugs come on line.

Speaker 4 (27:00):
Looked at the past four years of the viewing data
for Netflix and put together a list of the most
watched shows, Stranger Thing season five coming in at number five,
Bridgerton season three at number four, Squid Game making an
appearance twice on the list, number three for season three
and at number one for season two, and then Adolescents
as well, with one hundred and seventy one million minutes

(27:22):
watched came in at number two.

Speaker 3 (27:24):
I'm Jill with entertainment headlines.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
So the FIFA World Cup over the weekend. I didn't honestly,
I didn't watch the halftime show. Something popped up and
I wanted to watch the game more than the halftime
show because what a game. I can't believe Argentina just
couldn't get past Spain in any way. The shots on goal,
they just didn't have them. It was crazy. So love
the game, congrats to Spain. Also loved the young man

(27:46):
that was praying at the end. Did you see that?
It was in my story?

Speaker 1 (27:49):
Yeah, well the other people were fighting.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
Yeah, they're all fighting in the background. It's two it's
not my story right now. You'll love this at Gopher
Valentina Instagram. You haven't seen it at go for Valentine Instagram.
In the story, so he's praying and behind him all
these people get in the fights afterwards. Yeah, it was crazy.
But Justin Bieber was great.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Justin Bieber was great. There's been because Justin Bieber picked
a very slow song. He played Hallelujah, and so it
was just him and an acoustic guitar and many people
are saying he brought the vibe down.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
Wait he did the first of the measure different.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
Yeah, like his song everything Hallelujah. Oh, I didn't know
that song. Okay, so we're kind of expecting Desposito for
him to go up there with something, and I'll admit that, Yes,
it was a change in vibe, but like he sounded unbelievable.
So I feel like we Spanish length. Is he really
good in that song? He does? I don't know if
he does outside.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
I was going to say, like in that song, that's
kind of gutsy to do that in front of people
that speak Spanish.

Speaker 1 (28:39):
So well, great, he's done on the stage many times, gotcha.

Speaker 2 (28:42):
It sounds incredible. So people are pushing back because it
wasn't up tempo.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
He and the rest of it was so up tempo fun.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
Shakiri doesn't have a ballad, does she know?

Speaker 1 (28:52):
And she was directly after him, So as soon as
like everyone was kind of like brought down, then comes
in and it's like, yeah, yeah, it made it look
like much more a vibe switch. Yeah, but like Justin
Bieber could have saying the ABC's up there, and I
would still go, you just love Justin Bieber, you know
what I mean?

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Time for me?

Speaker 1 (29:07):
I loved it, but I hear it.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
I hear it, all right, Justin Bieber? What do you
mean that's what you're saying the people today? I thought
I did great? What do you mean it was too
down tempo? Check out the speed of this song. What
do you mean? Yes, but you want to say no?

Speaker 5 (29:30):
What do you me?

Speaker 3 (29:43):
Your shut at one thousand dollars?

Speaker 4 (29:45):
Now?

Speaker 2 (29:45):
All right, here's the word for a thousand bucks. It's
Monday morning, it's July twentieth. People moving slow, sometimes getting up,
getting going right, so you have a really good chance.
What I'm trying to say is a lot of people
don't play the contest early in the morning because they're slow.
We're trying to start her day. So if you take
this word to one of four to three MYFM dot com,
the word is new n e W. Take new to

(30:08):
one of four to three my FM dot com. Little
windows is gonna pop up in that window you type
in the word n e W.

Speaker 12 (30:16):
The Barbara, You've been the running for one thousand dollars.
Let's go, Barber. I feel good about this now, Oh your.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
Mind, you're my doll SULAA one of four three, Mi fab,
it's valid time in the morning. Good your battle of sexons.
Where's Jill? She ran out of the room.

Speaker 1 (30:48):
She did run out of the room.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
She ran out of the room. Jill ran out of
the room. She just I'll be right back. Was it
like a bathroom situation or something?

Speaker 1 (30:56):
I don't up there?

Speaker 6 (30:57):
She is.

Speaker 4 (30:59):
No. What Brian's out today is again for the third time, And.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
So our producer's out here, and Jill's very caustic. Send
him a copy of that audio.

Speaker 4 (31:10):
Well, we all have to do so much more now,
and then we're about to start the Battle.

Speaker 2 (31:13):
Of the John and I were doing fine over here.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
Copy guys adopted the physical labor that Brian does, he
does have to run back the mental lifting. That's so
we're about.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
To start right now.

Speaker 4 (31:25):
And I remembered I didn't print out the prime come on,
so I ran and got that real quick.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
But now we're all we're all good to go.

Speaker 1 (31:32):
Maybe it's the running that makes Brian frantic. You know,
I understand. I'm starting to feel it for me now,
I understand.

Speaker 2 (31:37):
Yes, she's got a printer in here while you're running
out there all the time. What are you doing now,
you're wandering around. She's just like literally wandering around too
much insider information.

Speaker 4 (31:47):
But it's also hard to like put a thought together
on the air too, because I'm thinking about what's coming next.

Speaker 3 (31:53):
And friends just talk.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
No, don't blow Brian up like he does a lot.
He does that.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
You're called out for being out three days in a row,
and I'm trying.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
To walk to the printer and come, no, I know,
but I have to type a lot of stuff. You
have to type a lot of stuff.

Speaker 3 (32:09):
The news story, Oh.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
My gosh, and talk. Our jobs are hard games, they're
so very hard, John, I got to hear the hot
dog story. Yes, did you tell it like quickly? And here? Yeah,
I'll tell pretty berfectly.

Speaker 1 (32:20):
So I grew up here in southern California, so I'm
an Angels fan, but for whatever reason, the first team
I was on was the Red Sox. I'm kind of
a Red Sox fan too.

Speaker 2 (32:26):
So which is wild. But he's a Socks fan living
in Los Angeles. It's a familial right.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
So this weekend I go to New York City for
a FIFA World Cup watch party. And I fly into
New York and when I go to New York. I
wear my Boston hat just because I feel like I'm
behind enemy lines and I have to cause some chaos there.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
So which is dumb. I'm the biggest, Like I grew
up a socks man, that's in my blood. I grew
up in Connecticut and everything. I would never wear a
Red Sox cap walking around New York. So but I
do feel like it was a different time.

Speaker 1 (32:52):
The rivalry used to cause fights, and I feel like
it's less of that these days.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
I was eight years old at Yankee Stadium years ago
with something called back They gave out backpacks for kids
for back to school. I was eight years old, my
dad Yankee Stadium wearing a Red Sox cap. I'm an
eight year old child, and they threw backpacks at my head.
They didn't keep them. They were throwing them at me
as an eight year old boy.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
See that is awful. Yeah, but it was an exciting
time though.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
By the way, I went to school that year with
fourteen backpacks. That's great.

Speaker 1 (33:21):
It's not like if I bump into a guy in
the Yankees Jersey, if you could spark it up, I'm like,
we have a conversation.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
So I find in New York. I get there super
late Friday night. It's just past midnight. I'm right outside
my hotel, exhausted, and I stop at one of those
hot dog carts like, hey, man, can I just get
a hot dog? And he looks at me, kind of
spints a little bit and goes, yeah, sure, I got
a hot dog coming for you.

Speaker 2 (33:38):
Hey, sure, I got a hot dog coming for you.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
He takes a weird amount of time. So I get
a hot dog and say, hey, can I have a
water too? And he goes, that's going to be twenty
one dollars.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
Twenty one dollars a hot dog.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
For a hot dog in a water, and he goes,
that's how much it is.

Speaker 2 (33:50):
That's when you go.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
No, I was tired. It was past midnight. I was
right outside my hotel. I said, whatever, just.

Speaker 2 (33:55):
Kidding twenty one bucks for a hot dog and some water?
Here you freaking go.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
So I take my hot dog. I took my what.
I start walking towards my hotel. I take one bite
of my hot dog.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
Yeah for what?

Speaker 1 (34:04):
It was the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted like
it felt. It tastes like a sewer, So I immediately
spit out my bite, throw the hot dog out and
go to my room, go to bed.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
This is maybe the red Sox cap you were wearing
might have caused you some isshoes.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
Didn't think that at all. I just thought I've had
a New York hot dog. This is a weird one.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
Whatever that was.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
The next morning, I hop on the subway. I'm talking
to some guy who runs a hot dog stand. He
runs a hot dogs do I'm like, dude, I had
the worst hot dog last night. And he looks at
me and he goes, were you wearing that Boston hat?

Speaker 2 (34:29):
Hey, were you wearing that Boston head?

Speaker 1 (34:31):
And I said, yeah, I was. He goes somethinghere known
to do around here, and I said, what do you mean.
It goes sometimes people come up with a Sox hat.
We'll dunk their dog in the dirty water, dump it
to a dog in the dirty wall, charge them a
little extra for it.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
For a dirty hot tell.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
And I was like, I think that's what happened to me.
Happens all the time around here in New York City.
Asking for a hot dog goes twenty one dollars. But dog,
that guy's laughing all the way to the bank totally.
And I like was so mad, and then I started
walking wait and I started to smile, and I was like,
the rivalry is back.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
He smiled after that horrible lot done.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
Yeah, you know, if you want to give me twenty
one bucks, I'll give you some bad food too. It's
bad things about you, all right. I'll put on a
Yankee cap and nactually bad stuff about you. Twenty one bucks,
all right? So eight sixty six by four four FM
texting three one oh four three. If you get a
confession as a cart vendor, maybe you do that food
carts or something like that, or you get a taco
truck or something. You want to tell something, go ahead,

(35:28):
But have you ever gotten some food and said, oh
my god, no, or watch somebody prepare it, Like sometimes
when you see somebody make the food, you go, yeah,
I'm changing my mind. You know. I've seen some people
at restaurants, like there was one place where she clearly
had a cold, or so she coughed on her hands
and went back to making my food. And I'm like,
but we just don't want to say anything. So I go, okay, thanks.

(35:50):
I took it and I threw it out of course
I never ate it. Why don't we say anything you know?

Speaker 1 (35:54):
Yeah, three, one oh four three.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
It is a battle of the sexist. Representing the men.

Congratulations, it's almost four years for John Olivia too.

Speaker 1 (39:02):
Yeah, it's a good number. Don't listen to him.

Speaker 2 (39:12):
Coming up, Three things you need to know? An historic
theater is now showing moves again. It's been thirty years.
Thirty years? Are the ghosts gone? Is the theater safe?
Coming up with three things you need to know? John's
got that morning traffic on four to three my FM.
Three things you need to know right now seventy twenty four.

(39:35):
It's Valentine in the morning. This is one of four
to three. My fans knockdown only Fox.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
To the game the decisive touch as well.

Speaker 2 (39:45):
Spain, for the second time in their history, have won
the World Cup. They went nuts in Spain. Argentina not
so happy. This morning, but Spain very very happy. Congrats
to them, like fifty four million or something they get
like that. Wow, it's nothing. That is nothing compared to
what people pay in the FIFA world, in the soccer world.

(40:07):
Some posting just the other day for some kid to
go from one team to another team and that was
well over fifty million for one player.

Speaker 1 (40:12):
My gosh.

Speaker 2 (40:13):
So FIFA pays money to the you know, first, the second,
and the third they everybody gets some type of money
and the further you get into the tournament you get
more money and stuff like this. But the fifty plus million,
though it sounds screamingly large, actually isn't that big when
it comes to that stuff. High serp advisory you went
to effect last night for La Inventor County is a
big tropical storm up to coast of Baja California. The

(40:33):
National Weather Service says waves are expected to be five
to eight feet through tomorrow night, creating dangerous swimming conditions
and powerful rip currents. They're asking people to stay out
of the water if conditions appear dangerous in the swim
only near staffed lifeguard towers, and they should be staffed
by lifeguards, not people sitting there for the first time
in over thirty years. The Alex Theater in Glendale is

(40:55):
showing movies again. The historic theater, which opened in nineteen
twenty five, has installed a brand new seventy millimeter projection
system is now screening Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey through August sixth.
The Alex has been used more as a performing arts
venus since the early nineties, but this theater that opened
up in nineteen twenty five is back in play. John
was training your music well.

Speaker 1 (41:14):
Last night was also the first ever halftime show for
the FIFA World Cup. We saw BTS, Madonna, Justin Bieber, Shakira,
The Muppets very shocked by that one, I think, But
one of the biggest talking points was around Justin Bieber said,
because BTS hits the stage, does dynamite this massive, high
energy number. And then Justin Bieber comes out with his
acoustic guitar and does everything Hallelujah.

Speaker 2 (41:34):
Hallelujah, halleluj Baby, hallelujah.

Speaker 1 (41:45):
High it's still World Cup, still World Cup. Yeah, that'll
get him going, saying it was a five kill five, Yes,
it was sounded. And then Shakira came in right after
and just saved the day she did die die, and
it was unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (42:04):
Yeah, she went off. She looks great, doesn't she amazing?

Speaker 1 (42:07):
I literally had to create she's forty nine years old.

Speaker 2 (42:09):
It was fantastic, fantastic.

Speaker 3 (42:11):
I wish I would move my body. There is really Yes,
I would love to be able to do that.

Speaker 2 (42:15):
Yeah, there's people that just look that good. I mean,
she looks at great. Jalo looks at great.

Speaker 1 (42:20):
You know, absolutely, But overall, I feel like a successful
halftime show for the first World Cup. I'm John Kamucis
was training in music.

Speaker 2 (42:25):
Pretty much a successful World Cup. Yeah, what's up, nice Jop.
Soccer's back, right, John, No, it'd be back in four years.
Anti soccer guy over here. Seven twenty seven. It's one

Speaker 2 (43:17):
Yes, so come get that at eight o'clock this morning.
And we just started this contest last week, so a
lot of people aren't playing yet. So in short, I
really think your odds are pretty good in twenty nine
minutes that you can win one thousand bucks. One oh
four to three. My sm ton of crashes last night
on the one oh one there was a couple and
then one on the four or five too. When my

(43:37):
kid was going to the airport last night, really almost
didn't make the flight, Thank god. He was like carry on.
It was one of those as to check a bag right,
one of those run to the gate movies, you know,
don't close the door, don't close the door, which seems
like a really cute rom com.

Speaker 1 (43:51):
But it was just one oh four to three.

Speaker 2 (43:53):
My FM thirty six. The weather today sunny and windy.
Heis in the eighties to mid nineties, upper seventies, through

Speaker 14 (44:17):
Hi?

Speaker 13 (44:17):
I heard John's story about the New York hot Dog
and I had to share mine from being in Nepal.

Speaker 2 (44:23):
Nepal.

Speaker 13 (44:25):
Yeah, we were in Nepal and my brother took us
because he was living there at the time, to a
little lakeside cafe and it looks so pretty and everything.
And we're sitting there eating and we looked to the
lakeside and the worker there is making pizza dough on
a rock using the lake water.

Speaker 3 (44:43):
Oh wow, is that the traditional way to make Probably?

Speaker 2 (44:48):
I assume right.

Speaker 13 (44:49):
I think for that place it is. But they had
a bornia ahead of time to be careful what I
ordered there. I only ordered a smoothie and I still
got food poisoning.

Speaker 2 (44:58):
No, you know, it is in certain places where they
use water like that or something like that. The people
are used to it because it's happened for so long
their body becomes used to it. But we Americans come
over and we're like, oh, that's not from Fiji. That's
not filtered and then we can't take it right.

Speaker 8 (45:13):
It's true.

Speaker 13 (45:13):
I couldn't drink any of their normal water there, but
I had to do it from water bottles. But yeah,
that became known as the Lakeside Pizza doll Place.

Speaker 1 (45:21):
The Lakeside Pizza Dope Place never ruined pizza for you
anywhere else.

Speaker 13 (45:25):
I don't normally even like pizza, so definitely.

Speaker 2 (45:29):
Really you don't like pizza.

Speaker 13 (45:32):
I don't like red sauce.

Speaker 2 (45:33):
You don't like the red sauce. Huh no, that's so interesting.

Speaker 13 (45:36):
To be white sauce.

Speaker 2 (45:38):
Oh it's got to be white. Okay, Wow, you're showing
your true colors here.

Speaker 10 (45:41):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (45:42):
Wow that people. Butessa, I've never met somebody that doesn't
like pizza. I find that shocking.

Speaker 13 (45:47):
But okay, yeah, all my friends know now if they're
gonna do a pizza thing, that they get a special
pizza for me.

Speaker 2 (45:53):
Uh yes, well aren't you. They lead us the special
pizza from.

Speaker 8 (45:56):
A place I make it up to them with my baking.

Speaker 13 (45:59):
I take them some had a big good and then
eat a special pizza.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
Okay, all right, you get the special pizza, make them
some muffins. Okay, sounds like a fair trade. Well thanks
you for calling, but I's appreciate that. Of course.

Speaker 13 (46:09):
Sorry about John's water hot dogs.

Speaker 1 (46:11):
Yeah, it's okay. I didn't get food poisoning, so I
feel like I came out of.

Speaker 5 (46:14):
That all right.

Speaker 13 (46:14):
Yeah, you need the right choice to throw it out.

Speaker 1 (46:16):
Thanks, take care, Thank you, you too.

Speaker 2 (46:22):
Tell you one of four to three min famin it's

Christmas at my place.

Speaker 2 (46:44):
Dear God, I thought you said your grandma finally decided
to pass. Yeah, I thought that's what she was driving
us crazy. Finally decided to go over to the other side.
So uh what uh what happened? She decided to.

you know what the other family members want to chip in?
So I picked out different recipes from Pinterest, and I
gave my uncle a pie recipe. Luckily, when it came
time to eat the pie for dessert, him and his
wife had to leave early, and we all took a

(47:25):
bite of his pie and we put in our mouth
and we all looked each other and go, oh my god,
this is so gross. I think he replaced sugar with salt,
but oh, it was so gross. We never told him,
and he asked finally.

Speaker 13 (47:41):
How was the pie.

Speaker 11 (47:41):
We're like, oh, it was okay. But the next year
I was like, you know what, I'll make it this time.
And when I made it, I followed the recipe to
the tea. It tasted like pie bacon pie. Yeah, it
literally tasted like bacon. I was like, this recipe is terrible.

Speaker 8 (47:58):
I'm throwing it.

Speaker 2 (48:00):
You guys got the recipe off the pictress, But did
you put bacon in it or just taste like bacon
on its own?

Speaker 8 (48:04):
No, it tastes like bacon, right, And.

Speaker 2 (48:07):
There you are coming down on your poor uncle, and
maybe he did nothing wrong.

Speaker 11 (48:14):
My husband had a bite and he's like, actually, this
isn't too bad. I was like, no, we cannot serve this.

Speaker 2 (48:19):
Your husband probably like bacon.

Speaker 11 (48:21):
So now we don't send him any recipes.

Speaker 2 (48:26):
Said were you You guys should maybe eat out or
get grandma back. She hasn't passed yet, has she?

Speaker 5 (48:34):
No?

Speaker 3 (48:34):

I don't even think that like existed when I was
a kid, or I thought like, if you had a
circular driveway, you were rich. Oh, for sure, the circular
drive Dick Pillar, he was rich though. Dick Pillar in
our street delivered newspaper, stream and stuff like that had
a circular driveway. I remember, like probably just like seven
eight years ago. It is home busiting my mom when
she did live there, and my sister a home visiting
her two and the three of us are there. We

(53:59):
drove down this we go, you know what, let's do it.
We drove right through Dick Pillar's circular driveway. That take that,
you rich guys.

Speaker 1 (54:07):

the circular driveway, really yeah. And for me when I
was growing up, it was a TV in the kitchen.

I was like, I wanted that so bad growing up.
So when I got my first house with all my
roommates after college. I took my little bedroom TV and
I put it in the kitchen, in a place it
did not belong.

Speaker 2 (54:26):

Speaker 1 (01:00:46):
Yeah, that's a big mess up.

Speaker 2 (01:00:48):
John was treading the music.

Speaker 1 (01:00:50):
So last night was the first ever halftime show for
the FIFA World Cup. We saw performances from Madonna, Justin Bieber, Shakira,
them Upp. It's weirdly but one of the standouts I
think was BTS Sauntry pretty Dup said that life shine

(01:01:10):
of itself, Like, I don't know if you've ever seen BTS,
but these are just like mesmerizing to watch them perform.
But I sold that to it right now and then
pretty soon they're gonna beat the ip Her Radio Music
Festival in September. So a pretty successful first run of
the halftime show for the World Cup. I'm John Comminci.

(01:01:30):
That's what's training in music.

Speaker 2 (01:01:31):
All right? Coming up as a kid, what did you
think made somebody rich? You can text in at three
one o four.

Speaker 4 (01:01:36):
Three, like Chelsea said, if somebody had a two story house,
Oh yeah, Monty said, air conditioning in your house, a
car with electric windows, and anyone that could actually afford
a car.

Speaker 2 (01:01:46):
Wow, all right, three one o four three. Where you're
a kid, you saw somebody go, oh they're rich because
what three one o four three? This is liberty.

Speaker 6 (01:01:55):
I could be the twist on want to make a
starm awesome on you okay, Cherry MoMA, Tomsy.

Speaker 4 (01:02:12):
May one four three my FM. It's Valentine in the
morning right now. We want to know as a kid,
what did you think made someone rich? You can text
us at three one oh four three. Lisa said, if
they had a VCR.

Speaker 2 (01:02:28):
Med him rich Oka she was a kid.

Speaker 4 (01:02:30):
And then Maureen said, if if you ate out at
a restaurant instead of cooking it home, I figured you
were rich.

Speaker 2 (01:02:37):
Okay. I remember the first time we get our cordless phone.
We thought we'd made it. Oh, we had people over
to show them the cordless phone. Really yeah, like watch this.
I can be in this room and still be on
the phone. I'm like, I can be in the bathroom
and be on the phone. I could literally be in
the tub and be on the phone. I'm telling this
to Tommy Romley, like, I can be in the tub
and I can call you from the tub. He's like,

(01:02:59):
why would you call me the tub? I go, I
don't know, because I can if I was taking a bath.
He goes, do you take a bath? No, I don't,
But if I did take a bath, I literally could
call you from the bathtub on my cordless phone. And
I said watch how far I call you from the backyard.
And I went in the backyard and I was like, look,
I'm back here in the very back of the yard
and I could call you from the back of the yard.
He goes, but I don't have a cordless phone. I go,

(01:03:20):
you don't need a cordless phone. This calls your phone
with a cord.

Speaker 3 (01:03:23):
Was his mind just blown alone?

Speaker 2 (01:03:26):
It was never the same after that, never the same
after that. Poor kid. Don't know what happened there.

Speaker 1 (01:03:30):
Did you ever have a phone in your car?

Speaker 6 (01:03:32):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:03:33):
Yes, that looks like the coolest thing. Do you watch
like old movies and stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (01:03:36):
I had it in the car and it was awesome.
I bet it was built into the car, a big
handset like a little brick built in it. Was my
ninety one Mercury Cougar LS. I tripped that bat boy
out had the phone in there. You put it on speaker,
And I was in Dallas at the time. One of
the first people I knew that had a phone in
the car.

Speaker 3 (01:03:53):
That's my dumb question. Yeah, did it have a cord
or was it wireless as well?

Speaker 2 (01:03:58):
It was a chord. It had a cord attached the
hands to.

Speaker 3 (01:04:01):
The little receiver.

Speaker 2 (01:04:01):
Yeah, okay, oh yeah, girls get in that car ever ever, Yeah,
I was like one of the first ones I knew
they had a phone in the car, had it put
in especially driving around calling people nice and then give
you tickets. Back then they could care less. Yeah, I
leave the guy with the phone in the car.

Speaker 7 (01:04:19):
Cool.

Speaker 3 (01:04:19):
It's a different time.

Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
Yeah, they're waving at the cops like, way to go, buddy.

Speaker 1 (01:04:23):
I want to think we'll brag about having first. My
mom always brags about being the first one in her
school to have one of the walkmen like the CD players. Yeah,
she tells us all the time, the first one to
have a walkman in my school.

Speaker 5 (01:04:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:04:34):
Yeah, God, we also know old when we say that, though,
maybe with my cordless phone eight sixty six five four
four my FM texting three one o four three. When
you're a kid, what did you see somebody else have that?
You go, oh my god, they are rich today, kind
of hot, kind of windy. Watch out for that obviously
paid attention you. We don't want any wind fires, none
of that stuff and everything. You know, Uh so hot
windy today seventy five and bra seventy seven. Silmar Jill's

(01:04:57):

Speaker 4 (01:04:59):

Oh gosh, yes, I'm.

Speaker 2 (01:05:26):
Gonna eat so much love. I'm gonna be such a
maniac and just so emo, Heather when he goes to
college and all, I guess I'm just gonna lose my mind.

Speaker 8 (01:05:33):
Well, my kid is twenty four and moved to North Carolina,
and yeah, I was inconsolable.

Speaker 2 (01:05:40):
Oh you poor thing. So how many kids do you have?

Speaker 8 (01:05:44):
Three?

Speaker 2 (01:05:44):
Okay, so you got the backup homes?

Speaker 8 (01:05:47):
Yeah, like I hadn't thought to turn eighteen in November.

Speaker 2 (01:05:52):
Oh really, okay, I haven't thought. And this is so crazy.
I thought, for a split second, I have to talk
to my wife about this, and really, this is just
a thought like, all right, he goes off to college.
What what's your face?

Speaker 3 (01:06:03):
I have a guest. Okay, go ahead, you guys can
have another baby.

Speaker 1 (01:06:07):
Oh no, oh thought I.

Speaker 2 (01:06:11):
Thought, do we foster kids? Interesting bring some? I mean,
I don't know. I just thought about a person because
I love being a dad and I love being parents
so much and everything that I'm thinking it's Coll'm gonna
think we're trying to replace him with some foster kid
or something like that.

Speaker 1 (01:06:24):
And I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:06:25):
It was just the thought because I walked past his
room this morning.

Speaker 1 (01:06:27):
I probably enjoy you looking at someone else's life three
sixty for a while, you.

Speaker 2 (01:06:30):
Know, Okay, you know what?

Speaker 6 (01:06:31):
You know what?

Speaker 2 (01:06:32):
Thank you? All right? Heather on to you. When you
were a kid, you thought someone who's rich because of
what if they had.

Speaker 8 (01:06:39):
A living room and a dead.

Speaker 3 (01:06:42):
Oh yeah that boat as well.

Speaker 2 (01:06:45):
Yeah that's crazy.

Speaker 8 (01:06:47):
My aunt and my uncle head bowl. My grandparents had ball.
My mom and I lived in a one bedroom apartment,
which looking back, that was wonderful. You know what's funny
is I inherited my grandma's house, so I have the
two bedroom living room and den, and now I see no, no, no,
that's just how I first sumed as a kid.

Speaker 2 (01:07:07):
Totally. Oh you don't feel rich anymore, No, not at all.

Speaker 3 (01:07:12):
Boddy won't told me the world is going to roll me, ain't.

Speaker 5 (01:07:17):
The shop is.

Speaker 3 (01:07:18):
Dueling the ship.

Speaker 2 (01:07:21):
To night of the night. It is one of four
three my family, it's Valance in the morning. I always
thought whoever had those china hutches with glass doors in
their kitchen, they had to be super rich, says Juana.
My dad had a car phone and is trans am
back in the nineties. I thought it was the coolest
thing ever. I thought people who had underground pools are rich.

(01:07:43):
I'm gonna assume you mean in the ground, not underground,
because if you do have an underground.

Speaker 1 (01:07:47):
Pool, that's cool.

Speaker 2 (01:07:49):
I've seen houses that have pools inside the house. Do
you ever see those in movies and movies and stuff?

Speaker 5 (01:07:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:07:57):
Ah see. You if you were rich, you got to
go to sleep away camp. I did not get to go.
My sister did. She's younger. We must have had more
money than I guess. I always thought people that had
those big refrigerators with a little attachment gives you ice
and water when you put your cup there were rich.
I said, Oh, my gosh, she's got a fridge that
gives you ice and water right in your cup. So
I always think people that have those fridge were just

(01:08:19):
super super rich. Yeah, a lot of us thought that.
Soo that wasn't there when I was a kid. It
was the ice cube tray you put it in the
fridge that somebody forgot to refill. Oh man, no ice cube.
Yeah you're bummed about that.

Speaker 4 (01:08:30):
We have an ice maker, but it's inside inside the freezer.
And my husband said that that's what he thought made
you rich as.

Speaker 2 (01:08:37):
A kid, and make her inside the freezer.

Speaker 4 (01:08:39):
Oh no, outside outside, like yeah, And so when we
were talking about this last night, yeah, I was like,
I'm so sorry that we don't have that.

Speaker 3 (01:08:47):
I would love to make that happen for him.

Speaker 1 (01:08:50):
So you know, you should do what.

Speaker 2 (01:08:51):
You should do instead of buying a whole new fridge
or something like that. Get one of those on the counter.
I know, cube Chick fil A, cube, ice makers, that
cube dice that everybody allow us get one of those.

Speaker 3 (01:09:05):
I had no idea they were so expensive.

Speaker 2 (01:09:06):
Yeah, I really, Oh.

Speaker 3 (01:09:08):
I was so like I was gonna go get.

Speaker 2 (01:09:10):
Had alone once on the counter.

Speaker 3 (01:09:11):
How much like three hundred dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:09:13):
We had one of those for a long time.

Speaker 3 (01:09:15):
I know, I loved that ice.

Speaker 2 (01:09:17):
Yeah, you'd come over the house every now and then.
She'd bring a cooler and just steal it stock and
we go. My poor child's like, where's our cube dice?

Speaker 5 (01:09:26):
Do I go?

Speaker 2 (01:09:27):
I don't know, son, I think that Jill came over
and stole it all for her family. Oh darn it, Dad,
But she's underprivileged. So we'll allow her to have that
cube dice, won't. We think that's its son, that's our
way of giving back to our community. Put that on
your college application.

Speaker 1 (01:09:41):
Here's what's coming up in entertainment headlines.

Yeah, I'll make like these little peanut butter lollipops before
you know, before I leave.

Speaker 2 (01:14:30):
That's a spoon of peanut butter. It's not a lollipop.
It's like a spoonful of peanut butteries tucking that when
you walk out. Yeah, so she had a bunch of
peanut butter. She's walking in the parking garage and a
guy walked past her. Literally, this is how much peanut
butter she must enjoy. Was coming out of her pores.
She like Jiff coming out of everything.

Speaker 3 (01:14:50):
And I don't know this guy. I've never seen this
guy in my life. But I'm going down.

Speaker 2 (01:14:54):
We don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:14:56):
Yeah, I'm going down the parking lot garage stairs. He's
coming up and I just walked by mining my business,
walks past him. Yeah, at this point the spoon's gone.
I threw it away, so I'm just myself, just walking down.

Speaker 3 (01:15:07):
Doesn't even say hello. The man just walks past me
and goes. Somebody had peanut butter.

Speaker 2 (01:15:12):
Somebody had peanut butter. Just two people that passed the night,
like two ships. You're passing in the stairs. Yeah, just
two folks. Don't pass take this.

Speaker 1 (01:15:23):
Question the wrong way? But are you a mouth breather,
because I'm wondering if like maybe at your mouth up
and you have very strong peanut butter breath and asked.

Speaker 2 (01:15:33):
You just yet he got walking. I guess what you're
saying is because let me don't take this the wrong way.

Speaker 3 (01:15:39):
You both have said that now.

Speaker 2 (01:15:40):
And I exercise a lot.

Speaker 3 (01:15:43):
I mean it's very little, it's yoga.

Speaker 2 (01:15:45):

Speaker 3 (01:15:52):
I was about to start going down and that's easy, Okay.
I don't think that I'm a mouth breather as I'm walking.

Speaker 2 (01:15:59):
You don't have a big nose, not for sure, that
is what I'm hearing. So I think you're probably breathing
out exhaling, John saying maybe a little too much exercise.
More likely, the car is not going to make me.
Science side sence, Yeah, we're on your side, never respect.

(01:16:21):
But it's also a science like how did that man
with old factory abilities? Maybe he's like a super hero
of the note, I don't wan to write that off.
That's also possible. People have like, wait, did he have
a cane or anything? Was he visually impaired? No, because
sometimes when you're visually impaired to something different senses pick
up more strength because he used them more so.

Speaker 1 (01:16:41):
He's looking right at you.

Speaker 2 (01:16:44):
It seemed to not be so that must been a
lot of peanut butter that if he wasn't like an
ol factory nose superhero.

Speaker 3 (01:16:50):
Well, have you guys ever noticed like if I have
a spoonful of peanut butter, can you smell it?

Speaker 5 (01:16:53):
Well?

Speaker 1 (01:16:54):
Yes, but the whole room smells like peanut butter. I'm
not sure if that's we don't know if it's from
you or lower or whoever. It's a lot of peanut
butter eaders near.

Speaker 4 (01:17:00):
Yeah, you know, I just thought like, that's an odd
thing to say to it.

Speaker 2 (01:17:03):
Did you find it to be rude? Did you fire back?

Speaker 3 (01:17:05):
I just went yep and kept walking.

Speaker 2 (01:17:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:17:07):
Yeah, I was very caught.

Speaker 2 (01:17:09):
Off guard right by a guy going, you smell like
peanut butter.

Speaker 3 (01:17:11):
Man, somebody had peanut butter like okay, yes I did.
Was not hurting anybody, no.

Speaker 2 (01:17:20):
Stinking up the stairwell.

Speaker 3 (01:17:21):
It was outside. I was outside.

Speaker 2 (01:17:24):
How much peanut butter did you have? The whole world
smelled like peanut butter.

Speaker 1 (01:17:27):
A spoonful, that's just a spoon and peanut butter.

Speaker 11 (01:17:31):
From sedans and sles to full sized truck experience the
incredible fuel efficiency with toy freezings.

Speaker 3 (01:17:40):
You need to know right now, it's this food. It's
a normal spoon over.

Speaker 2 (01:17:45):
There, said into a walipop. I've seen you take that
spoonful of peanut butter.

Speaker 1 (01:17:49):
You can't see this moon when you're done with that.

Speaker 2 (01:17:50):
Yeahpoon, I love you, But Spain is back on top
of the soccer world. What's up Spain? Where do you go?
Spain beat Argentina one and extra time to win the
twenty twenty six people woke up. Argentina finished with ten
players after Enzo Fernandez was sent off late in regulation.

(01:18:13):

Speaker 2 (01:18:18):
Shout out to her during the national anthem. OMG she

The FDA has apologized to Taylor Farms after determining that
early laboratory results linking the company's iceberg led us to
cyclosport contamination was a false positive. Oh our bad. We
told the entire world it was Taylor Farms from Salinas.

(01:18:39):
It might not have been you and Taco Bell. Sit
and hope we are going hello Hello. Despite the testing error,
the cyclospor outbreak investigation is still active. Health officials continue

Farms said it appreciations it's the FDA's correction, but emphasize

(01:19:02):
that it remains focused in cooperating with public health officials
and express concern for those who became ill. That was
very nice, you, Tailor Farms. I'm not eating any lettuce. Yeah,
I mean, if you do get something like that, don't
get the shredded stuff by the head of lettuce. Then
take off like two or three of the outside leaves
and give it a good washing. You should be okay.
John's training your music.

Speaker 1 (01:19:21):
Well, we've been talking a lot about the halftime show.

Speaker 2 (01:19:23):
This morning.

Speaker 1 (01:19:24):
We had performances from BTS, Justin Bieber, Madonna, Shakiro, We
had a special guest from a performance from The Muppets,
and we also had ted Lasso show up, which was
kind of interesting. Here's a clip of what ted Lasso
had to say, Coach, I got to sit the first
half a half time. Knocked my darn sock. Fa spectacular
bit ofhead. I mean, how the heck do they want
gonna be a fall all that you gonna be tough?

Speaker 5 (01:19:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:19:44):
Yeah, you know what I think we need? We need
some heart, you know, someone that has some soul. Someone
who can bring the love wool. You're thinking what I'm thinking,
one step ahead of your coach. You always are. All right,
young man, let's go. It's your big shot. Okay, go
out there. We'll be nervous.

Speaker 2 (01:20:02):
No LEAs watch.

Speaker 1 (01:20:03):
Okay, Mike is proud.

Speaker 2 (01:20:05):
And that was Justin Bieber who came out and then
performed everything.

Speaker 1 (01:20:08):
Holly La. I'm John Kimuchi. That's what's training, get music.
What did somebody that can bring the heart, not bring
the energy, but bring the heart. I told you it
was gonna be some love. It was gonna be the hardest.

Speaker 2 (01:20:19):
How's the traffy, John?

Speaker 6 (01:20:25):
Yes, let me go.

Speaker 2 (01:20:26):
So you want me to say it to him?

Speaker 5 (01:20:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:20:28):
You want me to turn to our boss, John P.
Because we have these Monday morning meetings and nobody likes them.
I do, personally, but nobody else does. I do love them.
I know I'm not. I'm not against meetings if stuff
gets done. If you leave a meeting with a task
of things to do and people are assigning things, I
like it. Meetings where nothing gets done and blah blah
blah blah. I don't like those zero waste of time.

(01:20:48):
But if you have definitive tasks and everybody has an
action point to work on. Those meetings are good, right,
things get done? Yes, I gre timelines and those things
you're alleging those aren't our meetings here at I heeart.

Speaker 4 (01:21:00):
I want to help out our boss John Peak. He
just came in here and said he's got such a busy.

Speaker 2 (01:21:04):
Day today, such a busy day. Mondays are always busy,
he says.

Speaker 3 (01:21:06):
He also said that he doesn't have much to talk
to us about. So I thought one of us could
just tell him, Hey, let's take this meeting off your plate.
We can wait till next week.

Speaker 2 (01:21:18):
Why don't you just tell him that I did it
last time.

Speaker 1 (01:21:21):
You guys.

Speaker 3 (01:21:23):
Last time, last time, you guys wanted this meeting canceled.
You guys made me go.

Speaker 2 (01:21:27):
Did it work to him?

Speaker 1 (01:21:28):
Yes, that's why we're going to do. Yeah, you have
a special poll.

Speaker 4 (01:21:32):
I texted him and I said, hey, John, just now
cancel no no, no, last time.

Speaker 3 (01:21:36):
So why don't we cancel the refresh and uh and
maybe move it to either on the phone or just
cancel it this week?

Speaker 2 (01:21:46):
And what do you say that?

Speaker 9 (01:21:47):
You're like?

Speaker 2 (01:21:47):
All right, just text that same text disco.

Speaker 3 (01:21:52):
Who are you calling?

Speaker 2 (01:21:54):
So you could tell him again.

Speaker 3 (01:21:56):
I don't want to do it twice.

Speaker 2 (01:21:58):
So you did it. But listen, I honestly find these
meanings to be very informative and good, but so you
just think it's like, man, I mean.

Speaker 7 (01:22:07):
It's fine, but it's just the same thing every week, right, Okay, sorry,
peek no, I'm just waiting for if you're satisfied with
your message, press one no no.

Speaker 2 (01:22:19):
Yeah, So that must have sent okay, perfect. Yeah, that
was good. That was very good.

Speaker 14 (01:22:24):
Thank you, my sm Entertainment headlines at the box office

this is following the cancelation of Disney Plus's planned Tiana
