Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's the Valentine in the Morning replay.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Welcome to the breakfast table of Valentine in the Morning.
I laughed heartily. Oh my god, I help.
Speaker 3 (00:08):
It's respectful to say I love you.
Speaker 4 (00:09):
The full show podcast starts right now.
Speaker 5 (00:15):
Hi, my name is Colin.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
You are seeing my daddy Valentine in the Morning. I
went off four.
Speaker 6 (00:22):
Flee said previously on Valentine in the Morning.
Speaker 7 (00:26):
So before you go out, you play a song to
get pumped up for a long time.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
This was my jam.
Speaker 7 (00:33):
Not so much anymore, but this was my jam before
we go out and do anything for the night.
Speaker 6 (00:37):
No no, no, no no no no no no no no.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
I was the hot Stepper.
Speaker 6 (00:44):
Cool I bet you were here.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Comes the hot Stepper. No, no, no, no, I would say,
who wants to see my iy Comosi and my love
of it? Go council John. You know the song?
Speaker 3 (01:00):
Yeah, this in a marching band. This is like one
of our like in between time.
Speaker 7 (01:05):
Seriously yeah cool man, alright, yes, Comosi, you ever have
any more.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Songs than this one? No idea can walk through that
door right now. We wouldn't know who I need. Kimosi
was great song though, and it was so popular when
it first came out and then it kind of burned
its way out and stuff like that.
Speaker 6 (01:24):
But I.
Speaker 7 (01:30):
Was not a murderer though, to be fair. Good morning,
let's talk to Ivana. What is the song that you
would play before you went out?
Speaker 8 (01:38):
Pink raise your glass.
Speaker 9 (01:49):
So good?
Speaker 2 (01:50):
That such a great song, and I got you all
fired up right.
Speaker 8 (01:54):
Yes, with my little face sons, and like glitter everywhere,
that's my damn.
Speaker 6 (01:58):
The glitter we used to put everywhere all over this.
Speaker 10 (02:02):
I feel like you still do sometimes as you.
Speaker 6 (02:04):
Should, Yes, especially now with highlighter, a little shimmer.
Speaker 8 (02:07):
Think of this and now they have like stamped already
to put face like I would have to draw stars
and things now, yeah, the beauty of magic makeup.
Speaker 7 (02:17):
Though I was not a fan of the glitter or
that stuff like that. It was very very dangerous for men, okay,
because if you gave a girl a hug, a little
whatever in the cheek or something, and she had that
on and you came home, they're like, what have you
been doing?
Speaker 2 (02:32):
I'm like, no, this is like the lady had a
little glitter and she'd just give me just.
Speaker 6 (02:35):
A hug, a hug like.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
A yeah, today's show show starts now.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Wow, wow, what.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
A four three? My e fab, It's Valentine in the morning.
Good morning, Jill. How are you hey?
Speaker 6 (02:56):
Good morning? Do it okay?
Speaker 2 (02:57):
All right?
Speaker 11 (02:58):
Job?
Speaker 2 (02:59):
Oh? I'm fine? Yeah, fine, Yeah. I think I got
some sleep last night. I don't know you think. No,
I've been there. You're like, what is going on that?
Getting sleep and working too much? Too many things in
the plate and everything. It's like, did I sleep? I
don't know something. Yeah, my kid told me I should
have taken Monday off. Like we're talking Sunday night. I
(03:20):
got back from the Jerry Herman Awards. We're both getting
very late, Jill and I and I got back and
I go, oh, man, I got to get the bet.
I gotta get up and then go to work in
the morning.
Speaker 7 (03:27):
And he was off yesterday and he goes for whatever
school thing, like why we do that? Well, we're taking
time off. We're about to graduate. Let's come on, go
to school, learn something. And so he goes, just take
a sick day, just call out. I'm like, nah, I
gotta go to work. It's like why I got I
gotta pay for your college and med school and everything else.
(03:48):
And then I was like he's right though, and do
I want to show him that example. Just go to work,
just NonStop, push, push push. I grew up in a
generation where you worked two three jobs and you didn't
get sick day and I don't really take sick days
unless I have to, and you just forced yourself to
work the hours, and it was sometimes at the detriment
to your family life and to your friendships and to
(04:09):
your own mental health and everything.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Just work, work, work, work, work to make that dollar
dollar dollar to take care of the family and stuff.
And as a guy, you know, my wife's to stay
at home mom. You felt like too. I watched my dad.
You felt like it all was on your shoulders. And
that's not necessarily how younger kids and how a younger
society works now, but that's the mentality I had grown up.
It all fell on your shoulders, get out there and
(04:31):
do it till you die.
Speaker 6 (04:33):
I had that mentality until last year, and then I
was like, you know what, sometimes you just need a break.
So then I would just put in for vacation days
without even talking to you guys. And I did that
again this year for our summer vacation, put it in
January with our boss. And then I said, hey, guys.
Speaker 12 (04:52):
Let your coworkers know I will.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
But I when you leave.
Speaker 7 (04:57):
When somebody's not on the show, it takes planning to
cover for that person with we want to get somebody
filling in.
Speaker 6 (05:01):
And that's why I want to do something else in
seven months in advance.
Speaker 7 (05:05):
But when did you tell us stop this?
Speaker 6 (05:10):
No July? You've all known this.
Speaker 7 (05:13):
Yeah, but it's not like you say something and we
forget it. You have to like put up a second
post it maybe and.
Speaker 6 (05:18):
The outlook calendar, but we won't.
Speaker 7 (05:21):
See that until we get there. You know what, people
push stuff in the calendar. You don't see that until
you arrive at that week. My wife does this all
the time. It's in the calendar. I didn't see it
until I got there.
Speaker 6 (05:33):
But I would let you know, maybe like a month out.
I would remind you of it. Anyway, the whole point
of this, of me bringing this up is I would
not have just put in for a vacation, you know,
two years ago and taken a week off, and like
I would have felt really bad about it or waited
to see like when the entire show was getting off
or something, and uh, I just changed my mentality. I'm
(05:56):
proving your point.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
I appreciate it. I'm just stuck that generation. It's hard
for me to get past that. You've obviously got pasted
at through you know, years of therapy or whatever it
was the help for you, I don't know. Bye bye
bye bye.
Speaker 6 (06:12):
Bye bye bye.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
Bright Hey you buddy, I'm good man.
Speaker 12 (06:16):
Tonight I'm going to see Jerry Sidefeld.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
That the Greek's fun. It's so fun. That's awesome, tod
And I'm gonna take tomorrow off.
Speaker 13 (06:25):
Night.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
How about that? I been talking to my son. Have
you all right?
Speaker 6 (06:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 14 (06:32):
One?
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Up, four three? My family? It is Valentin in the morning.
Hi Brook, good morning.
Speaker 15 (06:37):
Hi.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
How are you doing? Brook?
Speaker 8 (06:38):
I'm doing well. How are you?
Speaker 2 (06:40):
We're doing all right. You're gonna talk a lot today
on the show. What do you think?
Speaker 8 (06:43):
Sure?
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Have we got a babbling Brook?
Speaker 16 (06:45):
By gosh, I've never heard that before.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
Yeah, it's probably a good reason for that one.
Speaker 8 (06:52):
Huh.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
So what's good on? Brook? Wake on in today?
Speaker 8 (06:55):
I heard you talking about grabbing the jellies from Duncan
when you went in, and we do that quite a bit,
not necessarily Duncan, but Chick fil A has an amazing
selection so I just wanted to put that in your.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Head, little wheelhouse being cheap.
Speaker 7 (07:11):
Okay, Yeah, I mentioned on yesterday's show that we were
at a dunkin Donuts in uh Westminster. So we had
a dunkin Donuts and they had a big basket full
of single serv and grape jelly's, and I was like,
oh my gosh, every now and then you do run
out of grape jelly at home. Somebody forgot to tell
somebody when they're going the store and you're looking to
have a PB and J and then you go, maybe
go strawberry, which strawberry is great too, or maybe you
go raspberry and get a little dicier there. And then
(07:34):
you're sitting there and all you get is like apricot.
You're like, no, I'm not doing Africa marmalade, yeah, or
that lady marmalade. Oh that's a weird spread. But so
you say, Chick fil A has got a bunch of
sauces that are single served that you just kind of
help yourself to.
Speaker 8 (07:50):
Yeah, So they have the main sauces behind the counter, obviously,
but then they have out in the main area. They
have jelly, they have hot sauce, They have salsa actually
really good, right, and then they'll have like extra spare
sauces that people haven't used as though.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Okay now, and.
Speaker 8 (08:09):
So we actually really like to grab them and take
them camping.
Speaker 7 (08:14):
But you feel guilty, like, you know, you go in
there for some nuggets and you're getting salsa, and they're like, okay,
you're not putting salsa or grape jelly on your nuggets, lady.
Speaker 8 (08:23):
I literally have the peat hot sauce in my car
because my husband loves it, and he puts them on everything,
grabs some extra and so I mean it's.
Speaker 7 (08:35):
Thief is the word you're looking for. Thief beef is
what you and I are. But now you're stumbling because
you got caught on it. Yeah, no, I know too.
I mean I feel like they're out there. They cost
so little, grabbing a couple extras not a big deal.
I mean, they cost them like nothing. And the stuff
that's in that singles are a grape jelly. It's nothing
good for us anyway. So they're like, listen, you're killing.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
Yourself going you know, you have the last laugh. Yeah
is laughing, Doucle juntas is laughing. You just put a
gallon of high fruit dose corn srup in your veins.
Speaker 6 (09:04):
You know, are you guys purchasing something?
Speaker 2 (09:07):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 8 (09:08):
It's always like when we go in so like something
and you know, we'll just take a couple and yeah,
I definitely don't walk in and just grab a hands
on stuff. My pockets fallen like okay, I.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
Mean I guess you really could.
Speaker 7 (09:21):
If you're like a starving col suit or something like that,
you go in and you need ketchup, you grab like
fifty Ketchup packets or something.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
You know, after you buy something, you always have that
extra stuff laying around. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, this way
is doing it.
Speaker 8 (09:32):
Yeah, I mean we have I don't know, I don't
know if everybody does that. We even have like a
chore at home or you know, we'll put like extra
stuff so if we like grab food out and take
it home, yeah, take out. Time we run out of
ketchup or whatever, we have our little drawer.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Then emergency stash.
Speaker 8 (09:48):
Right exactly exactly, Yeah, I do that.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
I do that like hotels and stuff too. When you're
walking past a cart somebody's room service in the hallway
and you know they put their tray out or whatever
something like that. And they leave it there in this
unopened ketchups or whatever. You and grab this.
Speaker 6 (10:00):
It's an extra shampoo.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
I've never been so desperate for ketchup before.
Speaker 7 (10:04):
Dude, when you run out of Ketchup and you're sitting
there at home for fries or like, oh, where's the ketchup?
Speaker 6 (10:08):
Well, the chicken tenders you eat?
Speaker 3 (10:09):
Yeah, I usually use ranch.
Speaker 7 (10:11):
Yeah, what if there's a jar ranch sitting on somebody's
train it's unopened.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
Well, I always make sure I get enough ranch when
I ordered the chicken tenders, because okay, I can't eat
them without the sauce for sure.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
Okay, all right, well smart man, Oh I get.
Speaker 8 (10:23):
Chick fil A. When you order, they'll let you get
like when you when you actually order, they'll let you
get two packets of sauce like whatever. So we really
don't ever use all of that, and so you know,
we'll get the two packets and why we come to
cash the extra, Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 7 (10:43):
They're pretty chinsey with their sauces though, because like four
or five, six, I don't know how many sauces, right,
and I'm always like I don't.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Know, I'd like to try them all. No, you would
not be trying them all. You will pick maximum too.
Speaker 8 (10:54):
Yeah, well, next time if you go in, check the
little basket.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
For the aways, right.
Speaker 8 (11:03):
Giveaway.
Speaker 7 (11:05):
Have you tried the barbecue sauce a Chick fil Ay.
I don't think that's good at all.
Speaker 15 (11:09):
I'm not a fan.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
Yeah, doesn't it taste too plastic or something?
Speaker 8 (11:12):
No, thea though amazing.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Yeah, Honey Muster's pretty good too. I like that.
Speaker 7 (11:17):
I'm a big Honey Mustard fan. What a good conversation
this has been. You're the best.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
I like you. You're good people.
Speaker 15 (11:24):
Brooke, thank you.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
You have a great day and hide the family.
Speaker 15 (11:27):
Thank you.
Speaker 17 (11:28):
We'll do all right.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
We'll see you around the campsite.
Speaker 8 (11:30):
Okay, bye, right byeculum.
Speaker 7 (11:35):
One of four three my family. It is Valentin in
the morning. Hey Kevin, good morning.
Speaker 17 (11:39):
Buddy, Hey, good morning guys. How you doing.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
We're doing all right? How are you doing today? I'm
doing well all right.
Speaker 7 (11:44):
I was told that you've got some excitement in your life.
You're excited about something. What are you excited about?
Speaker 17 (11:49):
Oh, I'm excited. I's Ken's prom Hopefully I get a
win and go again this year.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
Oh you went the second chance problem last year?
Speaker 17 (11:56):
Yeah, I went last year it was one of the
other cowboys with.
Speaker 7 (11:58):
John and Brian and yeah, that's why you're not going.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
You got blacklisted. Yeah, oh my god. What are you
guys gonna do for offits this year? So the first year,
you like look like you're out of a c DC
little boys where what's his name? Shorts? Tiny shorts?
Speaker 11 (12:15):
We wore with a nice respectful top, you know, like
suit and tie and shorts.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
No, no, it wasn't very respectful in my opinion.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
And then last year we did cowboys below and cowbo hats, but.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
You wore suit pants, suit jacket. Yeah, but it looks
like you're trying to steal the show.
Speaker 7 (12:34):
And then the bride is left like in this I'm
the bride, you're trying to steal my thunder. It's Valentine
in the morning. Second chance? Prom not Brian and John
play dress up?
Speaker 2 (12:46):
People do now like it's expected. It's not expected. It's
not expecting us.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
Up there, Like, what's the plan this year? What are
you guys doing?
Speaker 11 (12:53):
Well?
Speaker 7 (12:53):
Those people aren't coming well, you never know, Kevin, would
you promise not to dress up oddly?
Speaker 2 (12:58):
Oddly?
Speaker 9 (12:59):
Yet?
Speaker 17 (12:59):
But I'm I still locked the cowboy hat.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
Yeah, bruh, not in your favor. What about sleepless suit?
Speaker 6 (13:06):
No such a thing.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
Yeah, you can cut it off.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
Oh gosh, yeah, we could cut it off this year,
a sleeveless suit, or it would look ridiculous. Jump suits.
Why didn't you guys wear kilts? What you wear kilts?
Speaker 3 (13:22):
Kilts isn't bad?
Speaker 11 (13:23):
Hammer pants, hammer pants, pants on the bottom, suit, jacket
on top.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
All right, it's not bad. We're gonna workshop this for
a little bit.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
He's not in the hammer pants.
Speaker 6 (13:31):
What about like a Miami Vice vibe?
Speaker 2 (13:34):
You know, because I probably still.
Speaker 7 (13:36):
Have you have No, there's no tie on man, Miami Vice.
Now you're Lisa Fox. She tried to make this whole
thing eighties, like, wanted everybody to be eighties.
Speaker 6 (13:50):
He did.
Speaker 12 (13:51):
I'm like, you guys, come on, okay, we'll be respectful
this year.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
It's pro We've been respectful every year.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
Dude, you have not been respect fun And you wore
short and didn't shave your legs and respectful and didn't
shave your legs.
Speaker 7 (14:05):
You're very hairy man down there. Yes, but I said
shave your legs. It would have helped.
Speaker 17 (14:11):
Still there, Kevin, I'm still here. I'll do the kilt
if I get to go this year, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
I'll think about it. Send me like a picture of
the kilt that you would wear. Those legs better be shaved.
Yeah you can. There's a place in la uh sport kilts.
Look for a sport kilt.
Speaker 7 (14:30):
They're very cheap, so it's not an expensive killed outfit
and you can get because I used to have a
sport kilt that I wore quite.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Often and that do you use it for sporting? Yes?
And it had pockets?
Speaker 7 (14:41):
Was this an easier killt because it real killed out?
If it takes a lot, I'm not wearing my kilt.
It's too much work, you know.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
And I'm gonna I'll probably wear a tux like I
wore to the Jerry Hermans.
Speaker 7 (14:49):
I looked really good. I felt like with a little
bit of weight loss. I felt like James Bond.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
You.
Speaker 7 (14:55):
Yeah, she couldn't stand it. What do you mean you
have to get a different dress room?
Speaker 14 (15:00):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (15:01):
He was sharing address for us. Is too hot for it?
Speaker 6 (15:03):
And those shaved legs under that tux?
Speaker 4 (15:05):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (15:07):
Howd you notice that pantsless? My god?
Speaker 7 (15:10):
You know it's funny like when she goes along with
Kevin and then she goes along too far where it's
uncomfortable for me.
Speaker 18 (15:15):
You know.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
All right, keV, we'll think about it. I got your number, Bud,
but we're gonna give away in a little bit here. Okay.
I can't just give them everybody that calls in obviously.
Speaker 17 (15:22):
All right, sounds good, no worries.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
You have a good one, all right, hang tight, we'll
get your number.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
Hangout on one O four to three my.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
One O four three, my family. It is Valentin in
the morning.
Speaker 12 (15:36):
Today is National Teacher Appreciation Days.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
Say gooday Miles, National Teacher Appreciation Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:42):
And Taco Tuesday.
Speaker 11 (15:45):
So normally on this day I like to do shout
out the hottest teacher you ever had.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
Really got a negative reaction the last not from the
hot teachers in a row.
Speaker 7 (15:55):
The hot teachers that got shouted out did not react negatively,
the other teachers reacting that.
Speaker 11 (16:00):
Some people like it, but most people do not. So
this year I think we just shout out the best
teacher you ever had. Keep it classy, you know.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
And by best you know what we mean.
Speaker 11 (16:11):
If you want to throw it into though, maybe it
could just be like a little flavoring of and also
were they hot?
Speaker 1 (16:19):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (16:20):
I missus Bucco.
Speaker 7 (16:22):
Missus Bucco, tall, brunette, crevaceous teacher of mine third grade,
didn't understand women yet, didn't understand my role in the
world with them.
Speaker 12 (16:34):
You hope you didn't have one with missus Bucco.
Speaker 7 (16:39):
But I had a mad little boy crushing Missus Bucco.
And I had that crush on the crushing Missus Bucco
until fifth grade.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
And then I.
Speaker 7 (16:48):
Bumped into Miss Fabulise. Miss Fabulis was fabulous, and the
way she said, Sean, do you know the capital of Massachusetts?
Speaker 2 (17:02):
I said, yes, I do, Yes, I do. Mm hmm.
Speaker 7 (17:08):
So they were great teachers, great teachers. Johnny had a
teacher of mine.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
Yeah, I mean, my favorite teacher is going to be
my high school band director. And I guess i'd give
him a chili, Give me a chili.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
Yeah, looking good.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
Yeah. I always say, you know, my professor, you could
always find the best teachers in your college, and if
they happened to be a look or to, there would
always be a little chili, just to let you know.
By the way, also hot, that's right.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
All right, little chili, Okay, chill, what about you? Who's
getting the chili?
Speaker 6 (17:34):
Well, it'd be coach Carter. And here's the thing. I
wasn't a student at the time, but oh my god,
I came back to the high school to coach the
dance team with coach Carter. No, no, no, the basketball coach
was very, very cute, and he also taught Bible there
at the school. Fast forward ten years later, Hu, he
(17:57):
asked me out and we went out out to dinner
on a date.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
Were you teaching at that point? Already left the school
at that point, totally? Okay, Wow, Yeah.
Speaker 6 (18:07):
We went on to dinner.
Speaker 11 (18:09):
Wow.
Speaker 6 (18:09):
I was very excited. But it didn't lead anywhere. There
was there was no connection.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
There's a revelation.
Speaker 6 (18:16):
Yeah, I like that. It went to Yeah, but a
lot of the a lot of the ladies loved coach Carter.
Speaker 7 (18:27):
Okay, yeah, it sounds like it's kind of a good
looking guy. Coach Carter just sounds No. I'm fine.
Speaker 19 (18:31):
It's weird that you have that in your phone. Okay,
So we'll do that later on. Shout out the best
teacher out there for teacher appreciation data. If you want
to give me chili, you can give me chili. That's
John's in a way of saying, they're also attractive. One
of four three my fami. It is Valentine. In the morning.
Speaker 7 (18:49):
John had a chance to sit down with the Libya Rodrigo.
My kids pretty peeved. Who would see?
Speaker 2 (18:55):
He goes? Dad?
Speaker 7 (18:56):
How come you couldn't do it? How come you were
part of the interview? Is John liked the new you?
Is he taking over everything at iHeart or something? And
I know, well, yeah he is, so we're jelly. But no,
I was at Colin Senior Lounge. Jill's doing something.
Speaker 6 (19:10):
No, Jill was not doing something. Jill wasn't asked.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
Everyone else gipt right over.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
Jill really lay it was like three thirty pm and
stick around that long.
Speaker 6 (19:21):
That's fine.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
I'm never asked.
Speaker 6 (19:23):
I was never asking.
Speaker 7 (19:24):
That's rude. They should have asked you. No, they should
have know that really is rude. They should have asked
both of you to do it. That being said, it's
done right, It's done. I couldn't be a part of it.
I was at Colin Senior Lounge, so John had a
chance to sit down.
Speaker 12 (19:37):
What it's just funny that you figure found that out
in real time.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
Jill was busy.
Speaker 7 (19:42):
Nope, no, not as okay, Well, I'm sorry, didn't ask you. No,
let me get John's great. Fine, John's great.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
This is not no. I can say something.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
No, no, no, listen to play it another day, John, No, listen, listen.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
I really want to get this out. I can't give
me a second. I'm not saying anything against John. I
can make a separate statement here that is purely about you,
that doesn't have to do with John Oat.
Speaker 7 (20:06):
Okay, John did a great job. We're gonna hear John's
interview with Olivia Rodrigo coming up. I believe you can
do a great job. They could have asked you. They
could have asked both of you together. I don't believe
not including you was proper, and that's bad etiquette and
bad forum for somebody as talented as you are.
Speaker 6 (20:25):
Oh, thank you very much.
Speaker 7 (20:25):
This is nothing, no slight against John or any has
nothing to do with him. These are two separate entities
that I'm talking about.
Speaker 6 (20:32):
You better believe I went to our boss's office and
talk to him about.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
Yeah, that's becoming clear.
Speaker 6 (20:37):
It won't be happening again.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
That's becoming quite clear. I will just make sure I'm
here next time so we don't have this problem. We
can do it as a show, so John sat down
with Olivia. How did you find you to be? John?
Speaker 3 (20:47):
She is wonderful, such just a pleasant person, she said, Hi, guys, she.
Speaker 7 (20:51):
Has no idea Julius. That's up next. She's playing into
a dome after seven. We have those tickets all week
long as well. Here on Valentine in the Morning four three my.
Speaker 6 (21:04):
FM one O four three myth M. It's Valentine in
the Morning. We're already getting texts this morning at three
one oh four three asking when we are giving away
the table for four to our second Chance prom and
we have it any second throughout the show.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
Yeah, here we go.
Speaker 3 (21:23):
June eleventh is when it's going down, brought to you
by Toyota. And if you do win, when we give
you the queue to call, you're gonna get a table
for four. We're gonna throw some dinner in there, drinks
the good kind, right, the twenty one and up kind.
We got a live DJ going on, some dancing photos
like it is going to be a party on that
cruise ship.
Speaker 6 (21:40):
And it is with City Cruises, which really is such
a unique dining experience, and you're out on the water
and they have year round bottomless Mimosa brunch cruises and
scenic sunset dinner cruises, and they're in Newport Beach, Marina,
Tel Ray, and Long Beach. So make sure you're listening
to Valentine the Morning throughout the day today and you'll
have a chance to the table for four at our
(22:01):
second chance problem.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Let's let's go one on three my FM. Valencie in
the Monitor not cultural appropriation.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
Not because yeah, because that's not his real voice.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
Because that's not his real voice.
Speaker 7 (22:23):
Because when he talks to you's like, hello, I'm Shaggy,
It's nice to meet you, Valentine.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
Then he puts on that character. It's a character.
Speaker 3 (22:29):
Yeah, I was like acting as a drill sergeant at
some point, and then people really liked the voice. So
he sang with it and then just kept it.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
And that's what iah. So I don't know if you
can give you that look that you're giving me. I
guess you found a loophole. It's not cultural appropriation voice. Yeah,
it gets thanks great, Oh I love it. John had
to sit down with Olivia Rodrigo. We're gonna play it
for you here. It was one of four three my fan,
(22:57):
this is Valence in the Morning. Was she beautiful and gorgeous. Yeah,
it're you nervous?
Speaker 3 (23:03):
Yeahs Olivia Rodrigo. You know I'm definitely nervous.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
Will we hear any nervousness.
Speaker 3 (23:07):
Or do you think we nailed I think I can
speak when I'm nervous most of the time.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
Let's find out. John sitting down with Olivia, I.
Speaker 3 (23:17):
Was just rewatching your music video. I have to know.
What was it like being alone in Versailles?
Speaker 2 (23:22):
That's so cool? Yeah.
Speaker 20 (23:23):
I was so rah that we got to be alone
at nighttime, which was absolutely epic. I kind of felt
like I was like at night at the museum. You know,
we're gonna they have rule. Yeah, obviously we were allowed
to touch anything like no food or drink and.
Speaker 21 (23:35):
But still whatever, Like it was insane.
Speaker 20 (23:36):
I got to walk through the Hall of mirrors like
by myself.
Speaker 21 (23:39):
It was so so awesome.
Speaker 3 (23:41):
I bet I've seen you kind of talk about it
a couple of times. But for our audience, can you
give us a little bit of context for drop Dead?
Speaker 20 (23:48):
Yeah, So this song was always the first track on
the record and the first single because I think it
really represents a new beginning. It's about a first date
that went really well, and it's just kind of about
all those feelings that you have on a first date,
like a you know, excitement, like I hope this is
gonna work out for me, or like a little bit
of anxiety and just just like joy also and so
(24:09):
I wanted to put that into a song, and that's
dropped head.
Speaker 3 (24:12):
I have heard you say before that it can be
really challenging to write a love song, and then here
you are with I guess just love song through and through?
Like was that a challenge to write?
Speaker 6 (24:20):
For sure?
Speaker 20 (24:21):
I mean, I think that that was the challenge that
I set out to kind of figure out throughout the
whole album.
Speaker 21 (24:26):
Making process of you Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl
So in Love?
Speaker 20 (24:30):
I you know, started writing the record, and I was like,
how am I gonna How am I gonna do this?
Speaker 21 (24:34):
Like writing love songs is so hard. My last two albums.
Speaker 20 (24:36):
Are very angsty and heartbroken, and so it was a
new challenge for me creatively. But I think that that's
why I love the title you Seem Pretty Sad for
a Girl So in Love Too, is because I tried
to inject all of those love songs with a little
bit of.
Speaker 21 (24:49):
Like sadness or pining or anxiety.
Speaker 20 (24:51):
Like I feel like in this song it is very
super joyful and happy and love song whatever, but it
also has like an element of like fear and doubt
I think a little and some of the lyrics, and
so I think that that's the thing that I try
to So I think this is by far the most
joyful of the love songs and album.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
So that's what scares me because when I heard this song,
I got a little bit nervous because in the context
of an album that's called you seem so sad for
a girl so in love, Like I feel like you're
setting the scene now being in love, and I'm like,
now I'm scared for what's to go?
Speaker 2 (25:20):
Too good?
Speaker 3 (25:20):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 14 (25:21):
I know, yeah, buckle up, Yeah you're gonna see well.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
I mean, I wanted to make fun of him, but
I didn't have much amo there.
Speaker 4 (25:37):
We tried.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
We tried a response. Listening back, you did a very
good job.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
That stumbles, don't you worry.
Speaker 2 (25:43):
He tried those stumbles out, did you He like went
back in and fixed this stuff.
Speaker 19 (25:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (25:47):
There were interviews like John in the past, I've done
interviews because that was obviously a pre record interview. Most
of ourselves live, but there's been pre recording interviews in
the past where I didn't like what I said, and
I would have been like, Olivia, Uh Hi, so good
to see you.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
Oh my god, Hi.
Speaker 7 (26:03):
It could be sounded like that if I played it
back right right right here, so I'd go back in
with the tape machine and everything back.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
Then I put myself in, well, Olivia, it's so good. Thanks,
and I was like, oh, my good, guy's amazing.
Speaker 20 (26:14):
He's good.
Speaker 7 (26:15):
So you can always do that as well, Olivia Rodrigo,
we have tickets to see her into a home after
seven o'clock this morning.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
You win for that call. So a few minutes at
eight sixty six five four four my as M one

(29:12):
entire week is the appreciation week. This is appreciation Day.
I don't know how that works.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
And my kid was dropping off gifts last week, so
we sure about this?
Speaker 12 (29:20):

Speaker 3 (29:23):

last week? I don't know.
Speaker 12 (29:27):
Maybe he's having some sort of.
Speaker 6 (29:29):
Well, he was off yesterday, so maybe he's just getting
ahead of it.

is officially National Teacher Appreciation Day, and this is National
Teacher Appreciation Week.

one oh four three, tell us about the best teacher
you ever had. We're gonna read their name on the air.
We're gonna appreciate them because a lot of them are
in the car this hour. We have a lot of
teachers enjoy your show. Read some names appreciate them, give
them some love, and if you want to give them
(30:28):
a chili, a spicy chili. Yes, as John says, what's
the spicy chili means?
Speaker 3 (30:35):
Well, if you look up a teacher on a website
called rap my professor. IM not sure if it's still
around anymore, But you used to be able to see
the grade of your teacher and essentially pick your teachers
before the school year starts. But some of the teachers
have a little chili.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
And that meant they're easy on the eyes.
Speaker 3 (30:48):
And that just means they're also good looking.
Speaker 7 (30:50):
Okay, all right, I'm not sanctioning that. But last year
Brian did a bit where he said who's the hottest teacher? Yeah,
and that went over horribly. So they like to move
on to just throw them a little chili pepper if
you want to.
Speaker 6 (31:04):
We don't want the backlash this year.

I don't know.
Speaker 2 (36:24):
I don't know, all right, John, what's trading in music?
Speaker 3 (36:26):
So FIFA has announced that the World Cup Final this
year will have the first ever halftime show in World
Cup history. Soccer traditionally doesn't really do halftime shows, but
this time they're gonna do it. They're gonna do it
pretty big. They're trying to make it the biggest halftime
show in the world. Even Chris Martin from Coldplay, he's
the one curating this thing.
Speaker 22 (36:43):
Now.
Speaker 3 (36:43):
We don't know who's gonna headline yet, but we're hearing
it's going to be multiple global artists and they should
be announcing that pretty soon. The twenty twenty six World
Cup Final goes down July nineteenth at Medlife Stadium in
New Jersey. I'm John Kamuchi. That's what's trending in music.

they're running like images from the Met gallon.
Speaker 2 (37:38):
I get scared by some of these outfits.
Speaker 7 (37:39):
Yeah, yeah, and I'm terrified, terrified for those reporters that
are at the Met gala and they're on the red
carpet and the people come up and I feel like,
you know, when it's trick or treat time and you
open the door and this kid there and.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
You go, oh, look at you, and what are you,
little Johnny? What are you dressed as? The kid's like,
oh my god, you can't tell him a pumpkin. I
don't know what work head.
Speaker 7 (38:00):
Yeah, imagine these reporters and and yes, Kendall, well you
don't know what I am. No, I'm a cross between
men and women in dystopian society and the seventeen hundred's
when men had to what I know, How am I
supposed to recognize that you look like a black hole
coming to eat me or something.
Speaker 6 (38:15):
I don't understand the met Gala.
Speaker 3 (38:16):
I don't need it, attend to every year and I
have no idea.
Speaker 7 (38:20):
Yeah, it's very interesting. The outfits some are amazing, right, yes,
but then okay, it's a dinner.
Speaker 2 (38:26):
Right, I guess right?
Speaker 7 (38:28):
And you go inside. These people can't sit in those things.
You must switch out in the sweats or something. They're
like a sweat party inside that.
Speaker 3 (38:36):
Thing in the met gala, right that they do, because
like her dress had like five servants in the back
holding it. There's no way they're holding that while she's
eating that rocker.
Speaker 2 (38:45):
What mcdonna look like Slash? She looked like Slash. She did.
Speaker 7 (38:49):
If you see her from the side, she looks like Slash.
I'm like, oh, Slash that the met Gala dressed as himself.
That's right, Brian, Good morning. How are you doing today?
Speaker 13 (38:56):

Yes, I'm a resident at Winchester Elementary in Hemett. Yay,
I know, wild Cats are the best. So yeah, I
come to school every day and I get to work
with great kids and great staff, so and so yeah,

would read like my fourth grade teacher did. After lunch,
she would reach us and lay on the carpet. And
(39:50):
I did that with my first graders, Charlie and the
chocolate factory Charlotte's Web.
Speaker 7 (39:54):
So, God, you made such going and you still make
an impact. I think teachers, I don't know. So do

impact you can make and a child's life that you know, ten, fifteen,
twenty thirty years later, these children and I myself at
my age, remember teachers that impacted me and that were
so special to me in my life.

All right.
Speaker 7 (58:58):
Current score is one to one. And what movie takes
place in the desert planet of Aracus.
Speaker 26 (59:04):
Dune?
Speaker 2 (59:05):
Dune? I love Dune? Did you like Dune?
Speaker 15 (59:09):
I did?
Speaker 2 (59:09):
Yeah? I love Dune?
Speaker 6 (59:12):
And Matthew, the Testaments is a sequel to what Hulu show?
Oh the Hendmix though, Yes, that's right.
Speaker 2 (59:24):
Current scores two to two.
Speaker 7 (59:26):
That means we go to a not so tough tiebreaker question,
Holler at your name.
Speaker 2 (59:30):
If you the only answer, your name will be your buzzer.
Speaker 7 (59:33):
Wait till Brian Burton finishes asking the question before you
bust in, And it better be a decent answer, not
a throwaway answer.
Speaker 2 (59:40):
Okay, Brian take you away. Here we go. What was
the worst concert you ever attended?
Speaker 25 (59:46):
Ever?
Speaker 5 (59:47):
Molly?
Speaker 2 (59:49):
Who's Andrew?
Speaker 6 (59:50):
Yeah? Have we been calling you the wrong name this
whole time?
Speaker 17 (59:56):
No, I'm sorry, I may said my son's name is said,
I can't.
Speaker 2 (01:00:02):
We can't take that. You can't take that. He said
a different name.
Speaker 15 (01:00:05):
Oh my god, I'm so sorry.
Speaker 2 (01:00:06):
But I don't know. What do you do? Do you
go to the girl that john? What do you think?
Speaker 21 (01:00:12):
Do you just start?
Speaker 6 (01:00:13):
What do we do a new tiebreaker question?
Speaker 2 (01:00:15):
Let's do that. Let's do a new tiebreaker question to
make it fair. But I don't know. I did say
holler at your name, and he yelled at somebody else's name.
Speaker 15 (01:00:23):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:00:24):
I don't know what to do here.
Speaker 2 (01:00:25):
Well, what do you know?
Speaker 6 (01:00:26):
I don't know?
Speaker 17 (01:00:26):
You know?
Speaker 2 (01:00:27):
Okay, Brian, what do you decide? His producer? I think
it should we should allow Molly the chance to answer.
He did not yell out his name. Oh my god,
oh god, Okay, I know, Andrew, Matthew, Matthew Andrews.
Speaker 7 (01:00:42):
I know, but that was what was said and people
are texting that. All right, So Mollie, it better be
a good answer.
Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
Go ahead.
Speaker 9 (01:00:54):
I went to a you I'm Gravy and Baby No
Money concert, and unfortunately the demographic was a lot younger
than I and I don't feel like I belonged it was.
Speaker 5 (01:01:08):
It was a crazy atmosphere for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:01:10):
Yeah, I feel like a young Gravy Baby No Baby
or whatever it was would not be my show either.
All right.
Speaker 19 (01:01:15):
Well, on a technicality, Mommy, you want to battle the
Sexes Championship certificate posted on.
Speaker 6 (01:01:24):
Social use the hashtag balance in the morning, and you
share that with pride.
Speaker 15 (01:01:28):
I will thank you so much.
Speaker 6 (01:01:30):
You've also won a pair of sold out taken to
see Ariana Grande at the Crypto dot Com Lina on
June nineteenth. Congratulations, Oh my god, thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (01:01:45):
Wow what a battle.
Speaker 4 (01:01:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:01:48):
Then Matthew, I think he's mad. He hung off. He
could be mad at me, but I stand by the Yeah.
I feel bad about it, but.
Speaker 7 (01:01:54):
I feel bad too. But what we're supposed to do.
It's my radio, That's what it is. I'm always like, Yeah,
that's you're supposed to do, all.
Speaker 2 (01:02:02):
Right, MOLLI hank tyme.
Speaker 7 (01:02:03):
We'll get y'all said, Okay, thank you so much, all right,
thank you, love, I appreciate it. My other option was
I could have just given them both tickets. I suppose
I have extras.
Speaker 21 (01:02:13):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
If we not for this, I don't think so. Well. Me,
you have always a secret stash.
Speaker 7 (01:02:20):
When I was talking about the presets, why I wanted
people to make the preset number one MYFM.
Speaker 12 (01:02:25):
You know how much money would coming on I know, okay.
Speaker 7 (01:02:28):
But that's my secret stash. I was using it for
the people on the presets. All right, coming up, three
things you need to know. You're about to see a
lot more robots around Los Angeles. We got to tell
you about that a few minutes.
Speaker 1 (01:02:38):
Free things you need to know right now.
Speaker 7 (01:02:43):
It is eight twenty two, it's aboutent in the morning.
This is one of four to three MIFM. If you're
listening for the first time, welcome to our show. We're
a live radio show here in southern California. You can
hear us all across the country in the iHeartRadio app
as well booming into San Diego, and we've got affiliates
across the country too.
Speaker 2 (01:02:58):
So if you're listening for the first time, thanks very much.
We do appreciate this.
Speaker 7 (01:03:01):
Myself, Jill, John, Brian, Laura. This kind of the show here,
Tashi and the phones in there and Adam doing some
production work for us. Always reach out and just be
a part of the show. You're very welcoming show. That's
what we are. And it's a bunch of friends with
a bunch of microphones, and that's it. LA is becoming
a major testing ground for delivery robots. Companies like Coco
Robotics are planning to bring thousands more to the area.
(01:03:22):
These are small robots about the size of a cooler
that deliver food, groceries, and other items along the sidewalks.
There have been some issues that robots getting stuck, lost
or blocked, but newer versions are more advanced with better
sensors and improved ability to handle tough conditions. Will they
lose their cute factor? And you know, we like him now, like, oh,
it's so cute. It's like when you see a bunny.
(01:03:43):
You see a bunny. Oh, they're so cute. But rabbits, bunnies,
they multiply and suddenly the damn bunnies eating my garden.
The Coco robots are everywhere kidding met across the street.
In the NBA tonight, the Lakers are heading into the
Western Conference Semifinals against the defending champions, the Oklahoma City
thunder Lakers. Considered heavy underdogs. Heavy underdogs, they lost all
(01:04:03):
four of their regular season games against the thunder by
an average of thirty points. Lukadanchik remains out with the
hamstring strain. No clear timetable for his return, but I
would not rule the Lakers out. It's been weird this year.
People thought the Celtics could go all the way Celtics
went out in the first round, So Lakers this could
be their year, John, what's training your music?
Speaker 3 (01:04:23):
Well, we got an update from Gracy Abrams. She just
announced some new music recently, and now we got some
more details for it and even a better quality clip one.
Speaker 18 (01:04:30):
Saw clearly, but it's bloodshot and a wah, you's so
badly close off. So we get marry but I guess not.
Now you can watch hit.
Speaker 3 (01:04:44):
Them, So it's gonna be called hit the Wall and
it chops. May fourteenth, so a week from Friday. Finally
some new music from Gracy Abrams. I'm Johnkamuchi. That's what's
trending in music.
Speaker 2 (01:04:52):
John, Thank you for that really good quality clip there.
Speaker 18 (01:04:54):
That was good clearly, but it's bloodshot. And a wah,
you're so badly So we get married, but I guess not. No,
you can watch the.
Speaker 3 (01:05:08):
Last one, she teases. Phone audios not really hear the music.
Speaker 7 (01:05:12):
Oh, I know, dude, those bad clips. So it's when
you take the time John to find some really good audio.
I mean, thank you for that.
Speaker 2 (01:05:20):
John.
Speaker 3 (01:05:21):
Yeah, you just got to do some digging.
Speaker 2 (01:05:22):
You know.
Speaker 3 (01:05:22):
It takes some time.
Speaker 6 (01:05:23):
But I'm not wasting any energy on this. There was
a mini Spice Girls reunion.
Speaker 2 (01:05:38):
That's really cool. There's the audio for that.
Speaker 6 (01:05:39):
You pointed that out earlier, that it was bad audio,
But I would rather have this from up fans perspective.
But we can hear she's singing, just.
Speaker 2 (01:05:47):
Talking about That's why I want to enjoy it again. Yeah,
we've got tickets into our second chance from that could
happen any moment. Plus up next Kimuci's court.
Speaker 6 (01:06:02):
I've got it, probably.
Speaker 3 (01:06:05):
Taking a new case, a new case.
Speaker 2 (01:06:14):
Like them.
Speaker 7 (01:06:15):
It is valatt in the morning, eight sixty six, five
four to four of my if I'm texting three one
oh four to three.
Speaker 2 (01:06:19):
Here we go.
Speaker 3 (01:06:22):
All right, we got Caitlyn on trial today. She says,
I'm having a disagreement with my daughter over her prom weekend,
she wants to go to an after prom party at
another student's house. From what I understand, it's a typical situation,
lots of kids, not a lot of supervision. There's a
high chance there might be alcohol there. Now, she's told
me she wouldn't participate in that kind of stuff and
she would leave if things got out of control, and
I believe her. She's generally responsible, but I'm just not
(01:06:45):
comfortable with the environment itself. I don't feel like I
can guarantee her safety in that kind of setting. But
here's where it gets complicated. A couple of years ago,
I allowed my older son to go to a post
prom party when he was a senior. It was a
similar situation, and yes, I knew there was probably probably
going to be some stuff there as well, and at
the time I made the decision to trust him. So
now my daughter's pointed that out, saying I'm being unfair,
(01:07:06):
even suggesting I'm treating her different because she's a girl.
But from my perspective, it's not trust, it's the situation.
I've learned more as a parent since then, and honestly,
I wouldn't make the same decision if I could repeat
that first one anyway. So am I a jerk for
saying no this time even though I said yes to
my son earlier in the same situation.
Speaker 7 (01:07:23):
Some of these parties are so different nowadays too, Like
they have security at the parties, they hire DJs. Some
of the kids have to pay like a cover charge
to get into the parties. It's not the same party
when I graduate high school in nineteen in two thousand
and two, when I graduated, you know, it's different.
Speaker 2 (01:07:43):
It really is different. Are your thoughts, Jill.
Speaker 6 (01:07:45):
I'm on the mom's side on this. I feel like
she's making the decision. She feels it and feels this
is right. So I trust the mom. Oh think she's
a jerk.
Speaker 3 (01:07:56):
I feel like it's so unfair if you let the
boy go to I don't know. I'm with the daughter
on this one.
Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
What are you thinking? You get one prom Yeah, that's true,
that's true, you get one problem. I would say let
her go out.
Speaker 3 (01:08:09):
You said she's trustworthy, right like trush off.
Speaker 2 (01:08:13):
But I'm on the daughter's side. Is there a middle ground?
Speaker 6 (01:08:18):
What would that be?
Speaker 2 (01:08:20):
Park down the street. That's such a Valentine thing.
Speaker 7 (01:08:23):
I'm just saying, you're nearby. You need me, you hit
me on the phone or something. Have you seen the
episode of Shrinking where she's at a party and it's
kind of problematic and the dad says, if you ever
need me, call me, and she leaves the party starts
walking down the streets. She goes, hey, can you meet
me at the corner such and such and pick me up?
I just need you, and no questions asked. That data
is there, and you're so happy to be there to
(01:08:44):
pick up his daughter and help her out in a
moment of need. So you're nearby, I don't know. And
you've got life through sixty You've got all that stuff.
Maybe a couple of check ins, you know, maybe a
FaceTime or something.
Speaker 2 (01:08:54):
I don't know. But if you let the boy go
and you're not let her go, I get it.
Speaker 7 (01:08:58):
Sometimes we as parents can look at how the world
treats her sons and daughters differently and how they respond differently.
But if you prepared your daughter and you prepared your son,
they're prepared. And you probably over prepared her because you're
worried about bad stuff happening to her more than you've
prepared your son in some respects.
Speaker 6 (01:09:14):
And it could be a different group of people, like
a different group of friends where she saw, you know,
the son's class. Maybe we're a little more responsible. I
don't know, trying to help her out.
Speaker 2 (01:09:25):
Way to go, Joe.
Speaker 6 (01:09:26):
She even said she would regret that first, you know,
letting your son go. I don't know. Maybe she's learned.
Speaker 7 (01:09:32):
You get one prom one from party or my kid's
case has been eight or.
Speaker 2 (01:09:36):
Ten of them.
Speaker 6 (01:09:39):
It's because I didn't go to a prom after.
Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
Party to a prom shows John, Yeah, John, I don't know.
What do you guys think? Three one o four three
eight sixty six five four four May FM Valentine.
Speaker 1 (01:09:54):
In the morning at three one four three.
Speaker 7 (01:09:59):
Have you guys seen the video of all these bikers
on the Bay Bridge that they got trapped by police officers?
One hundred officers blocked them on the Bay Bridge, so
they all got in trouble. I guess there was a
bunch of e bikes and like crazy bikes. They were
tearing it up and terrorizing people. Probably or something in
the cops just blocked it off and they gotta ball
the kids and the e bikes. Listen, parents, you've got
(01:10:19):
to talk to some of the kids. There were some
kids the other day, I'm on Lindero one thousand Oaks
and I'm just coming down this street and I've got
a green light and kids are coming the other way
and just whip and pulley yuwi right in front of
me as I'm going through an intersection with the green
light and they shouldn't have been doing that. It just
whipped right in front of me on the streets on
e bikes, and I'm like, oh my god, I was
(01:10:39):
petrified I was gonna hit one of these kids. And
it's like, you've got to be more careful. I don't
think it's any rules or regulations surrounding e bikes that
I know.
Speaker 2 (01:10:46):
They're like starting to after are because there's been some
horrible accidents and you know it's bad. They were weren't helmets,
thank god. It's proud of that. But still we've got
to put some kind of guidelines on them because they're
these are kids. And I don't think it's an age.
It is there fourteen fifteen whatever it is, you can
ride knee bike. I don't think it's an age. And
you're riding that thing you're not even licensed yet. Maybe
(01:11:07):
someone led you kate me on the text line, but
that is not currently Komuci's coore.
Speaker 7 (01:11:10):
We'll get into that second. Sunny Scot's Today sprinkles off
and on throughout the day. Fifty to one, Alta Dina
fifty nine, Laguna Beach. Jill's got the entertainment headlines Coming up?
Speaker 6 (01:11:19):
We hear about the highest grossing actors of all time,
But what about the highest grossing directors. I'll tell you
the top three coming up at eight fifteen.
Speaker 2 (01:11:26):
John a quick reset Kimuchi's score.
Speaker 3 (01:11:27):
Kitlyn is a mom and she does not want her
daughter going to an after prom party. The thing is
a couple of years back she let her son go
to one. She just feels like she's learned more as
a parent and doesn't want her daughter to daughterr to
do it. Does that make create jerk?
Speaker 2 (01:11:41):
Good morning, kim How are you?
Speaker 15 (01:11:43):
Good morning?
Speaker 5 (01:11:44):
I'm doing great?
Speaker 2 (01:11:45):
All right? What do you think?
Speaker 15 (01:11:48):
Well?
Speaker 26 (01:11:48):
I think she's being a jerk. It's kind of a
double standard, like we'll let the boy go it's okay,
but the girl, no, no, no no. And I think
the best thing is talk to the student's parents and
say is there going to be any kind of chaperoning?
Is somebody going to be somewhere.
Speaker 17 (01:12:05):
At the house, you know, like maybe I.
Speaker 26 (01:12:09):
Don't know a parent somewhere, so that if anything comes up,
they can go to the parent or just kind of
get a little bit more creative with you know, who's
going to actually be you know, kind of policing, not
I don't want to say policing, but you know, chaperoning
the party.
Speaker 7 (01:12:24):
I'm sure her kid's going to love that. Can I
speak to the parents and find out who's going to
be there.
Speaker 2 (01:12:28):
A lot of times they're not there. These kids.
Speaker 7 (01:12:30):
They hire security themselves, and these kids are putting on
parties themselves. It's from an entrepreneurial standpoint, it's amazing, but
also it can be scary in that respect, I get it.
Speaker 26 (01:12:39):
Sure, And just to have somebody there, like if they
do have security, know that that security person is there
for the protection of the kids that maybe are going
to feel uncomfortable or something like that. So just to
have I think, just to have somebody that's responded a response.
Speaker 7 (01:12:57):
A lot of times the security of these parties is
to mainly throw kids out who might be a problem.
That's basically what they do, you know, all right, and.
Speaker 26 (01:13:04):
Maybe yeah, maybe that's something to communicate to the daughter
of like, go to this person if there's a problem.
Speaker 2 (01:13:10):
Yeah, all right, Kim, thank you very much, appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (01:13:12):
All right, take care, good bye.
Speaker 7 (01:13:15):
Unless she goes, have a good time. Yeah, I'm gonna
be there. Hey, Stephanie, good morning.
Speaker 15 (01:13:23):
Hey how are you.
Speaker 7 (01:13:24):
We're doing good. So mom, let the son go to
a prompt party. She's not letting the daughter go to
a prom party. What do you think?
Speaker 10 (01:13:31):
Well, as a mom that just had her first child
go to a prom, I would have if my daughter
would have even asked. I mean, our prom is out
in Palm Springs, and I would have let her go
because she's very responsible. So I feel like they're getting
to that age, they're that adult age, and they need
to be trusted because you know, they're going to have
(01:13:53):
to live in the world, right and and uh, you know,
I would be It would be the caveat of call
me if anything, you know, not kosher whatever. But my
daughter literally, I mean we drove her to the prom.
Speaker 16 (01:14:09):
You know, So how old is your daughter?
Speaker 2 (01:14:11):
How old is she?
Speaker 10 (01:14:13):
They're different, they're not as crazy as we were back
in the day.
Speaker 24 (01:14:17):
Party.
Speaker 7 (01:14:17):
No, no, no, no, then you haven't been told you
that's so true.
Speaker 3 (01:14:22):
Anything back then, No one's going to take a picture.
Speaker 2 (01:14:25):
Yeah that said, that's true.
Speaker 7 (01:14:28):
That's true, but you just don't see because it's on
Snapchat all these pictures.
Speaker 10 (01:14:34):
Yeah, my daughter's friends are pretty chill. She's pretty chill.
Speaker 7 (01:14:38):
No, I'm sure she is. But I will tell you
these parties, there's still rages out there.
Speaker 2 (01:14:41):
Listen.
Speaker 7 (01:14:41):
I've got a senior in high school. I hear the stories.
I see things. I hear things, I hear things, I
see things. So there's still parties going on.
Speaker 10 (01:14:51):
So it is different in a small area.
Speaker 2 (01:14:55):
Where do you live?
Speaker 10 (01:14:56):
Maybe the kids are a little different in my area too.
Speaker 2 (01:14:59):
Where do you live? Where do you live?
Speaker 8 (01:15:03):
Oh?
Speaker 10 (01:15:03):
Boy, yeah, time difference there.
Speaker 2 (01:15:09):
They're doing yeah, the cactus juice. They're doing it out there.
I know what it's called.
Speaker 7 (01:15:15):
Yeah, they get a thing called look out for that.
All right, step thank you so much for calling and
tell your daughter we said hello as well.
Speaker 10 (01:15:22):
Okay, all right, thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:15:24):
Okay, bye, by Hey, good morning, Carol. How are you
this morning?
Speaker 15 (01:15:28):
I'm good things.
Speaker 5 (01:15:29):
How are you?
Speaker 2 (01:15:29):
We're doing all right?
Speaker 7 (01:15:30):
So what do you think is a mom a jerk
or not for not wanting her daughter to go to
prom party, but she allowed her son to go to
a prom party.
Speaker 5 (01:15:36):
Yeah, I don't think she's a jerk. I don't think
it's a son daughter thing. I think it's a you
live and learn kind of thing. And she learned what
she learned, and things are different, and maybe her daughter
is a different person than her son. However, I would
still let her go. I wouldn't be the one to yeah,
you can't go, but I would be the one sitting
with Val in my car down the streets all right, right, watching.
Speaker 6 (01:16:04):
My parents did that?
Speaker 2 (01:16:05):
Br us did they relate?
Speaker 7 (01:16:06):
And your dad is a D three homicide detective park
down the street with the swat tea on the call.
Speaker 2 (01:16:12):
He was ready to bust up the party.
Speaker 7 (01:16:14):
Day would always say, like, listen, if LAPD has to
go in, I'll take them in and get my daughters out.
Speaker 2 (01:16:20):
God, that'd be fun, Carol doing to stake out with you.
We should do that, right, let's do it.
Speaker 5 (01:16:25):
I think I got like another two years before the boy.
Speaker 2 (01:16:28):
Okay, enough for a prom.
Speaker 15 (01:16:30):
We'll kill it, all right.
Speaker 7 (01:16:31):
I'll be there when you need that, because mine's eighteen,
and you know, prom thing is all done and stuff
like that. I'm sure there' still graduation parties kind and
stuff like that. Yeah, we have him check.
Speaker 2 (01:16:42):
In and stuff.
Speaker 7 (01:16:43):
But you would be amazed nowadays. Honestly, gosh blown away
on the high definition video footage you can get from
these drones. They are so fantastic and the kids don't
see them. They're not looking up. It's so good, it's
so good.
Speaker 15 (01:16:56):
They have no idea.
Speaker 26 (01:16:57):
They don't know that.
Speaker 5 (01:16:58):
I'm down the street.
Speaker 2 (01:16:59):
I love you, Carrol, thanks for coming in. Take care,
all right, take care, Laura.
Speaker 7 (01:17:03):
What did you think? This is not really your wheelhouse?
You guys have prom parties and stuff like that in Australia.
Speaker 6 (01:17:08):
Do we ever? Oh, okay, I was gonna say, in
Australia they like to party. The drinking age is eighteen
in Australia. The worst kids illegal by the time they
got a prom.
Speaker 2 (01:17:15):

In Entertainment's headline, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have reached
a settlement in their legal dispute. I'll tell you what
we know. Right after Traffic.
Speaker 1 (01:19:09):
One O four to three, my FM Entertainment headlines.
Speaker 6 (01:19:14):
Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni started together in the movie
It Ends with Us, and now they have reached a
confidential settlement in their legal dispute. The lawsuit began in
December of twenty twenty four, when Blake Lively accused Justin
Baldoni and his company of sexual harassment, retaliation, and orchestrating
a smear campaign. Justin denied the allegations. He filed countersuits,
(01:19:36):
which were later dismissed. Then last month, a federal judge
dismissed most of Blake's claims but allowed some to proceed,
and a trial had been set for May eighteenth. But
they just reached a settlement and the terms are not public.
But in a joint statement, both sides emphasized mutual respect
(01:19:56):
and a commitment to safe workplaces, and expressed pride in
the film's impact on domestic violence awareness.
Speaker 11 (01:20:02):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:20:03):
Yeah, I did not see this coming to an end
like this.
Speaker 6 (01:20:05):
No I thought it was gonna go on in.
Speaker 7 (01:20:08):
Boom boom boom, and we're just gonna fight it up.
I'm actually glad it's coming to an end.
Speaker 6 (01:20:11):
YEP, it's done.
Speaker 7 (01:20:12):
Very curious about the settlement me too. I want to
know somebody find out.
Speaker 6 (01:20:17):
And we always talked about the highest grossing actors of
all time, but now listen and put together of the
highest grossing directors, and here is the top three. Anthony
and Joe Russo with six point eight billion dollars made
with their movies. Their most successful film was Avengers Endgame,
then James Cameron coming in at number two with ten
point six billion at the theaters. His most successful was
(01:20:39):
Avatar with two point nine billion, and then the number
one highest grossing director, Steven Spielberg with ten point seven
billion dollars in his most successful film, Jurassic Park. I'm
Jill with their in tivid headlines Second Chance.
Speaker 7 (01:20:52):
Prom bel Oh yeah, boys to man, you hit that
dance floor and oh so tight in that slow dance.
Look over at the table, you see your wife looking
back at you.
Speaker 2 (01:21:09):
What are you doing?
Speaker 7 (01:21:14):
Food is great, the music's great, the friends are great.
You've got a table for four. How about that you're
from Southgate and you're excited. You've always wanted to win.
And you called and called and called, and you felt
it like was the end of the road for you.
And then the guy on the other end said, Lisa
(01:21:36):
from Southgate, you'll be at Second Chance Prom.
Speaker 15 (01:21:40):
Wow, so exciting.
Speaker 7 (01:21:43):
And you reacted with such excitement that people heard you
all over southern California and you were going.
Speaker 15 (01:21:49):
Though, yea, I'm so excited.
Speaker 7 (01:21:56):
Hey girl, you going the Second Chance Prom?
Speaker 16 (01:22:00):

Speaker 2 (01:22:42):
You gonna have a great time. Was your first problem? Okay,
did you go? What happened?
Speaker 16 (01:22:47):
I didn't go to my problem.
Speaker 15 (01:22:48):
I had to choose because of money. I had to
choose the thing going there or to my grad night.
Speaker 5 (01:22:53):
So I chose grad night.
Speaker 15 (01:22:54):
It was hard.
Speaker 7 (01:22:55):
Looks yeah, I get you. Well, now I never went
to I didn't have a grad night. So this is
one of the reasons I wanted to do second chance
prom just to fulfill my own dreams.
Speaker 17 (01:23:06):
You're from.
Speaker 7 (01:23:09):
Self centered, but this is gonna be awesome for you

We're sto for you. Thank you all right, love, hang
time and get y'all said, okay.
Speaker 15 (01:23:21):
Okay, thank you all right.
Speaker 23 (01:23:24):
But now I'm.
Speaker 6 (01:23:26):
Got the money hundred dollar bills y'all from where I'm from,
then you would know I got it in a big
but drunk no no, no.
Speaker 2 (01:23:39):
The words.
Speaker 6 (01:23:39):
You do not know the words, So tip up and
throw your hands up and let me hear the body say.
I'm kind of blessed.
Speaker 7 (01:23:48):
And it's all because it seems like that. It seems
like you might be. Is that the MS medication kicking in?
Speaker 2 (01:23:54):
What is that?
Speaker 19 (01:23:56):
Why?
Speaker 1 (01:23:57):
Buzz?
Speaker 2 (01:23:58):
Well, you're.
Speaker 6 (01:24:00):
You're not nervous.
Speaker 2 (01:24:02):
You don't get nervous.
Speaker 17 (01:24:03):
On the air.
Speaker 12 (01:24:06):
I know because I didn't you to center yourself.
Speaker 6 (01:24:09):
No, it's not that. I just I usually when the
song is.
Speaker 2 (01:24:12):
On, I'm just you're doing stuff your body.
Speaker 6 (01:24:15):
And I'm not. I like, I find myself. I pride
myself on knowing lyrics, and I didn't know the lyrics there,
so I'm I'm embarrassed.
Speaker 2 (01:24:26):
That's what you pride yourself on.
Speaker 6 (01:24:27):
I know to songs, and I love that people have
commented on it.
Speaker 7 (01:24:35):
They catch you on the street and comment on that.
Hey my cop girl, you're gonna bring that up again?
Speaker 4 (01:24:42):
Oh my.
Speaker 2 (01:24:45):
Sense?
Speaker 7 (01:24:50):
Second chance? Prom we'll have some online chances to right
absolutely all right now?
Speaker 2 (01:24:56):
Oh right now? How do they do that?
Speaker 6 (01:24:57):
I'm not on the heart radio app. Tap the contest,
how we're listening to us? And then you can enter
one night Third table for.
Speaker 12 (01:25:01):
Four you guys.
Speaker 2 (01:25:12):
I love you so much. We love you so much. Seriously.
Speaker 6 (01:25:17):
Olivia makes the Lost.
Speaker 7 (01:25:20):
Time Olivia Dean one of four three My Famin's Balance
in the morning.
Speaker 2 (01:25:28):
We saw a friend of ours exiting a different studio
down the hall to our left, and he had a
margarita at like eight forty five earlier. We surprising to
see it. Davia thirty am marguerite, right, and.
Speaker 7 (01:25:40):
This there's a certain radio show and probably not the
one you would think that has a margarita machine or
something down the hall, and they're just they're going for it,
I guess. So what we thought would be fun is
I still have my old police officer uniform when I
was an officer in Connecticut. So we're gonna be setting
up a UI checkpoint on the fifth floor by the
couches in the break room if any iHeart employees are listening,
(01:26:01):
So as you walk past, I'll be running a DUI
checkpoint with Brian as my guy. And it's random, trust me,
it's random. It always it has to be random. Yeah,
we stop every car or it's a random thing, or
it's got to be every third car or something like that.
Speaker 3 (01:26:13):
Do you guys have like field tests? Serious?
Speaker 2 (01:26:14):
Yeah we do. We do.
Speaker 7 (01:26:15):
Yeah, we're gonna have you blow into it in a second. Okay,
so yeah, we're gonna be running field tests. So Briety
checks on everybody in the fifth floor today. And you know,
once you're an officer and always, always an officer.
Speaker 12 (01:26:26):
And this is what happens if you don't invite us
to your little podcast.
Speaker 7 (01:26:29):
If you don't invite us, we're gonna run field. So
Briety checks on the fifth floor by the couches in
the common area.
Speaker 1 (01:26:35):
Los Angeles.
Speaker 4 (01:26:36):
Your shot at one thousand dollars now.
Speaker 2 (01:26:39):
All right, thousand bucks words bills b I L L S.
Speaker 6 (01:26:42):
You can enter that word now at one O four
to three my fm dot com for a chance at
one thousand dollars with our thousand dollars. Phillip. Bills is
your keyword for this hour. You can also end hear

just top the contest tab and enter it in right there.
Bills could get you one thousand dollars right now.
Speaker 3 (01:27:00):
You got about fifty to fifty five minutes to get
that thing in there before we change the words. So
when it's safe to do so, typing thattword bills and
that could be your shot at one thousand dollars with
our thousand dollars. Philip rightin't get in there.
Speaker 2 (01:27:10):
Good luck.
Speaker 7 (01:27:16):
One A four to three, my fami, it is Valentine
in the morning. Any second you could win tickets to
our Second Chance Prom brought to by Toyota Second Chance Prom.
Speaker 2 (01:27:23):
How fun would that be? A table for four waiting.
Speaker 7 (01:27:25):
For you your friends, Second Chance prom coming up?
Speaker 2 (01:27:30):
One of four to three, mifm, it's Valentine in the morning.
Speaker 1 (01:27:34):
I was a ghost. It's a Rindy Carpenter.
Speaker 7 (01:27:40):
One of four three, my fam it's Valentine in the Morning.
I was talking to my wife the other day. It's
kind of a fascinating conversation. And I don't mean to
pit people against each other, but I was just thinking,
it's Rinny Carpenter, very hot in the news right now?
Stuff all right in a grande is very big. Olivia
Rodrigoz very big and stuff. Who becomes if you make
a comparative, who do you think, maybe? But or who
(01:28:01):
has that staying power like a Lady Gaga? I think
could be Madonna? Right and out of some of these
younger artists like Sabrina and Olivia, who are we talking
about twenty twenty five, thirty years from now? As an
artist that spanned that time and had the staying power.
If you had to pick one, or is.
Speaker 2 (01:28:16):
It both, maybe I would say probably, But for the
funzies of on the air, if you had to pick one,
I would I'd lean towards. But this is me. I'd
lean towards Sabrina because I think Sabrina and I've never
met a Livia, to be honest, Sabrina has a little
extra something special. I think on the stage. I think
(01:28:37):
Olivia has an amazing voice and great songwriting ability and everything.
I'd never seen her in concert Sabrina have, So I
just lean towards what I know, and I think she
has an extra spice on stage.
Speaker 3 (01:28:46):
See, I would go Olivia Rodrigo, I think, really because
you met her, Well, that's Sabrina too. I would say
Olivia Rodrigo has had more success with the beginning of
her career like Sabrina credit to or she has that
extra something because she was performing for a decade before
she really got in like the main public spotlight. Rodrigo
came out with Driver's License and every single she's come
(01:29:08):
out with leading up to an album has gone number
one on the Billboard had one hundred. He said that
songwriting ability I think will last throughout the time where.
Speaker 2 (01:29:15):
It's so, do you need more than songwriting ability.
Speaker 3 (01:29:17):
To last all the years?
Speaker 2 (01:29:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:29:19):
I think the songwriting ability is what keeps you there.
He can always write incredible music.
Speaker 2 (01:29:23):
Belton John didn't write a song as Bernie Toppin did.
Speaker 3 (01:29:26):
I didn't know. I can't compare it to Nelton John.
Speaker 6 (01:29:29):
I think the crowds that Olivia has at, like her
festivals that she was doing like last year and stuff,
were on par with the Sabrina crowds, right, And so
I'm interested to see how this next tour goes and
if it is like Sabrina's tour, the short and sweet
tour and things, and then it would be like an
easier way to compare. But I don't know. If I
had to choose.
Speaker 2 (01:29:49):
One, you gotta choose one.
Speaker 6 (01:29:50):
Oh gosh, I guess Sabrina Brian Man.
Speaker 12 (01:29:55):
There is something about Sabrina Carpenter.
Speaker 2 (01:29:57):
She's mesmerizing.
Speaker 12 (01:29:58):
I watched her Coach Oller perform, and then I watched
the next week two. I couldn't stop.
Speaker 6 (01:30:03):
She's very entertaining.
Speaker 2 (01:30:05):
I think you're looking at it differently.
Speaker 16 (01:30:07):
Comes edam's and SUVs to full size trucks, experience the
incredible power and fuel efficiency with Toyota electrifive.
Speaker 7 (01:30:15):
Things you need to know right now, all right, nine
to twenty six It is Valentine at the morning.
Speaker 2 (01:30:20):
State Farm could be facing major fines. Is this you did?
Speaker 7 (01:30:23):
This affect you and may temporarily lose its California license
after an investigation found they violated the law while handling
claims from the Eaton Fire and Pala States Fire. I'm
not sure if Lisa Fox and Eric's place was via
State Farm or not. The investigation found the company with
slow to process claims. They also underpaid many of them.
State Farm denies these allegations. Spencer Pratt is on the
(01:30:46):
case today is Syncodemiyo. There are lots of special events
at restaurants where you can get some discounts all across
ocal In downtown LA, there's a Synca a Mile celebration
on Olvera Street with live music, food and guided tours. Today,
there are deals on tacos at place like Takaya, Chronic Tacos, Chipotle,
and Del Taco. Dwayne Johnson also bringing back his Walk
(01:31:06):
on the Rock. If you order drink made with is
Terry Mona tequila and anapetizer can submit you receive online
for a ten dollars rebate as well. Places are going
to be so crowded today, So crowded, John, what's trending
your music?
Speaker 3 (01:31:21):
So FIFA announced that the World Cup Final this year
will have the first ever halftime show in World Cup history. Now,
of course soccer doesn't typically do halftime shows, but this
time they're trying to make it real big, one of
the biggest ones in the world. Chris Martin from Coldplate
is curating it, and you know how he does with
those sold out stadiums, he can definitely put on a show. Now,
we don't know who the headliner is going to be yet.
We're hearing it could be multiple global artists, but that
(01:31:44):
should be announced real soon because the twenty twenty six
World Cup Final is on July nineteenth at MetLife Stadium
in New Jersey. I'm John Kamuci. That's what's trending in music.
Speaker 2 (01:31:52):
Chris Martin is going to make everybody ride a bike
though behind the you know, the net or something just
to power the whole thing. He's into that. One of
the cool things here at iHeart.
Speaker 7 (01:32:03):
You look down the hall, you see somebody here for
a different radio show, and I believe he stopped by
Ellen's show down the hall, but I said, get in here,
Josh grow man, what's up?
Speaker 2 (01:32:12):
How I live here? It's good to see a little
condo down the hall. I actually just kind of roam around.
The coffee is great.
Speaker 7 (01:32:19):
Well, be careful when you go down there today because
I believed to have a Margerity machine down at coast today.
Speaker 2 (01:32:23):
That's what I mean by coffee. My coffee is here.
They'd be frank at it all morning. You saw a
guy come out at eight thirty who's in charge of engineering. Yes,
and well yeah, man laid down on the couch afterwards.
See good to my ow is no joke. Yeah, they
go hard at iHeart absolutely absolutely so nice to see you.
Thanks to see you too. Look fantastic. Thank you so much,
you too, Thank you look great, Thank you lust a
(01:32:44):
little bit of way. Thank you very much, fantastic. First
thing I noticed about your outfit this cream. I'm a
vision and I'm a vision in cream today. You know.
My assistant said, you know today just pick whatever's in
your closet, and I thought, all right, well, I just
I decided to coordinate. This is the one time, probably
in the last four years I've decided to coordinate on
my own without a stylist, so really yeah, and my job.
(01:33:06):
My dogs are this color too, So I'm going to
post a picture later of me with them, and it's
just it's well, they get lost in the outfit. The
dogs puzzles right, find the mind. Yeah, So listen, I
was handed this this new album. Yes, the new album
featuring ten cinema classics. Tell me about what's in my hand?
Oh man, Well, I've just been the last year working
on some of my favorite songs in the entire world.
(01:33:26):
These are songs that were made famous by the great
films that we know. Incredible producer Greg Wells did it?
You know? Can you for the Love Tonight? Godfather theme
stand by Me? Great collaboration. Jennifer Hudson, who's coming out
on tour with me this summer, joined me on this album.
My dad, my eighty year old father, played trumpet on
Moon River, which was just like the greatest session I've
ever had in my entire life. Oh my gosh, that's amazing.
(01:33:47):
It's just been. It's been a very personal and beautiful
album to make. And I sing my face off. Oh
my gosh, I didn't know your dad be playing trump Yeah,
put it away for like forty five years, fifty years,
and so it still had there to be a he does.
He's got the lip. I mean, it's it's it's breathy.
My my md A kind of lovingly calls him smoky
lips because that's the sound he makes with his trumpet. Now,
(01:34:07):
but you know, it's it's so beautiful and it's such
a nostalgic song for us. We love that song, used
to play it back in college. So now it was
really my whole family came to the set. That's a
beautiful thing. It was really fun. We went to Louis
Armstrong's favorite studio here in l a sunset sound.
Speaker 8 (01:34:20):
It was.
Speaker 2 (01:34:20):
We made it. We made the whole thing for him.
So is this is this out? Can people get this?
You have one of the first copies. I know this
is going to be mine or not? This might just
to hold it. I have to take that up. Yeah,
take that. Everyone gets to hold it up for the
photo cardboard. No, this is great? Yeah right, yeah that's right.
(01:34:41):
What else is going on in your life? Any other exciting?
It's been a very blessed month for me. I got
to engauge this month congratulation so much Disneyland. We're both
big Disney bands. And they hooked me up and they
got they got me to the wishing Well. We put
flowers all over the wishing wish. She had no idea
and it was magic. It was really, really fun. I'm
(01:35:01):
getting my star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame tomorrow.
Is that seems like very long overdue? You don't my mistake.
I mean, I say, you don't have to be like,
oh no, but I do feel it's overdue. You got
to earn it. I feel like that's I'm forty five,
you know, it's sign when I was seventeen, So it's
it's now I've done my twenty five years, you know,
I feel like but I didn't. I mean, it was
unexpected from me. I read a Billboard article that it
was happening, and I was like, that's wait, crazy. Really
(01:35:24):
do you know your location is a good real estate?
I do. I'm right kind of in front of the
Meeber Records, which is a place like records. Yeah, so
there's a music history at CRAU just down the street
from the Pantagous where I used to see shows growing up. Yes,
it's this little corner of art for me as a
as an angelina my whole life, right, it's really really special. Yeah,
why don't you like next year?
Speaker 7 (01:35:43):
I wouldn't force you to commit to anything like this,
but next year we just hosted the Jerry Herman Awards.
Oh yeah, which is great for kids.
Speaker 2 (01:35:49):
It's kind of like to've done it for a number
of years out in the Jimmy Awards. Yeah. Yeah, if
you're ever around, I'll let you know next year. Pop
in the walk across the stage. It's my favorite thing
to talk to young you know, performers and and there's
so many theater well I see myself in them that
that age group is when I first you know, discovered
theater and singing and I had those teachers that pulled
(01:36:09):
me out from the back of the choir. Yeah, and
really kind of found my my spark for the first time.
So kudos for doing that.
Speaker 7 (01:36:14):
So tomorrow night, I think we're going to the Sound
of Music A pantagous right, what is your song from
the Sound of Music that you go? That's the one
I like to sing at home. It's a fun one.
Speaker 2 (01:36:23):
Hey, ye see voice. I don't know if it's fun,
but it's.
Speaker 22 (01:36:31):
You know, the party's cracked. You know, I am forty
five going on forty six. Yeah, you know, they're a
lump pumped there all party songs. You know, these are
morning Margarita songs.
Speaker 7 (01:36:44):
So we were sitting there and in the audience, can
you help me with the name Kathy's last time against
Kathy is in.
Speaker 2 (01:36:50):
The audience, she's yeah, I didn't know.
Speaker 7 (01:36:53):
Yeah, And so I come out and I go, I'm
just gonna sing a little show to things up, and
I start singing stuff, not realizing that the girl that
played Alpha Ba on Broadway is like sitting in the audience.
Speaker 6 (01:37:04):
Yeah, she was one of the judges and she was
on Broadway and then also on tour and she was
Alpha BA. And then you get Kathy Rigby there too.
Speaker 4 (01:37:11):
And.
Speaker 2 (01:37:12):
Yeah, well that's okay. I mean that we it was
great actually that we really enjoy hearing the singers, non
pros that come in when it's all about kids going
