You hear it all the time, Johnjay will start a podcast with raw behind the scenes audio for extra content and when we interview celebrities sometimes they storm out in a fit of rage. An interview is an interview, and you become famous for walking the fine line sometimes. Recently, someone has asked Johnjay to appear on their podcast but with a TON of rules and descriptors beforehand. The key to success is to JUST ROLL! You heard it from us first. If you are planning a podcast, JUST ROLL! Be controversial (although take this with a grain of salt), that's the best advice we can give you.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, Noah podcast here you guys podcast? Speaking of Afterwards podcast.
I've told you guys that I'm like a great guest
on podcasts, right.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
You have told us that many times, and I've listened
to quite a few of them, and yes, you do.
You do give good guests.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Thanks. I got invited to be on another podcast, right.
So now I also have a podcast, the John J.
VanNess Podcast, right, And when I book guests for that,
I usually will text somebody that I know and ask
him to come on the podcast, and then Tyler, who
runs my podcast, he books them and he'll just be like, hey,

(00:40):
what does this work? Monday three? It's very simple, really simple.
This podcast I agreed to. I said, sure, I'll do it.
The guy text me a lot, and he texted me
long text messages. He texted me yesterday he sent me.
He sent me an email about the podcast. So I
was like, okay, so I click on this email and
I immediately like, I'm learning a lesson here because his

(01:03):
podcast he sent the same thing out to everybody like
it doesn't make me feel special at all. The podcast
email says, friends, Scott and I are excited to have
you on the podcast in two short weeks. We're attaching
the brief segment sheet. Each of you received an outlook
invite last month with a daytime location. We wanted to
provide some additional info in preparation. Your time slot is

(01:24):
confirmed and we maintain a pretty tight schedule the day
of shooting, so please message or call me the day
if anything randomly comes up. The show is picking up
a lot of energy this past month. We got a
lot of plans as we entered twenty twenty six. Right,
so obviously this guy they're doing back to back to
back to back podcasts, right, but already I feel like,
oh man, you're not like it's not special. Right, So
you're sending me a group email to a bunch.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
Of Are you offended?

Speaker 1 (01:46):
No, But I'm just said, I'm learning that I would
never do this to anybody. Yeah, you would send an individual. Yeah, Hey,
John Jay, here's what's going on with the podcast, here's
what are going on. You're really important to me. Thanks
for doing the podcast, so immediately personalizing it, Yeah, I would.
And then as I'm reading it, it's pretty interesting how
he gives me a little recap of what they are.
Then it says, please arrive fifteen minutes ahead of your

(02:07):
time slot to get micd up and get settled in.
And then it goes on about the podcast, and it
says one of the unique features of the shows to
highlight key elements of one's life story and their assent
to their current position in business and life. It's forty
five minutes long, a friendly banter between the hosts and guests.
Guests are encouraged to talk about their current projects and

(02:28):
newsworthy events. We do not provide guests with questions in
advance of the interview, but rest assured we seek to empower,
uplift and also dig into topics that are refreshing change
from the same old, mundane questions. So I don't know
why you need to put that in this email to me.
Right by agreeing to appear on camera and interview with
our podcast, you agree and understand that we retain all

(02:50):
rights to the editing and original content to be distributed
in the public domain. As such, if there's any sensitive
or confidential information you do not want to be shared
on the podcast, we request see you let us know
in advance of the interview.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
In advance in the advance of the interview, so once
they're saying like, once it's captured, if you said something
that was incriminating to yourself, yeah, you can't ask you
to take it out.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
I wish we could do that. What really?

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (03:16):
How many?

Speaker 3 (03:17):
I feel like I could name a handful of interviews
that we've done that were amazing, but we were never
allowed to share them or parts of them because of
something like.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
That Selena Gomez. Yeah, well they take it out and
we didn't take it out.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Yeah, there was another thing in here that I didn't like.
Please park in a non reserved and I'm just kidding,
tuck that part.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
The big spots are for us.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
Well, so now do you kind of feel like you're
already going in with not the greatest attitude.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Oh no, I'm gonna have a great attitude. I'm looking
at this is how the way I do my podcast is.
I would never do that. I would never ask any
of these things like you maybe you like it, but
I would never say what do you not want to
talk about? Like? I don't I don't want to put
anything like, I'd rather do the interview and then if
they it goes by and if there's something they don't
want to talk about, Oh, RAVI, I ca'tlick you're talking
about that.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
I also feel like if you've asked somebody to join
you for a podcast, it almost goes without saying that
we're going to ask you about your your world and
your accomplished RDS and all right, like if you're here
all that stuff that's kind of given in the effect
that we asked you to join us.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
I mean, I think they're trying to like have extra communications,
so like rifts don't happen after said interview because you
didn't know you weren't supposed to talk about something, you
talked about something you pissed them off. You wouldn't want
to do that.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
I think. And if I gamble in my life, that's
worked for me more than against me. Here this line set.
All we ask from our guests is to show up,
no ghosting or flaking, and be authentic, is what they say.
It just seems so weird to me, Like I'm not
hiring an actor to come on my podcast.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Are they new at this podcasting thing? I think, so, okay,
well that's probably it.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
But I'm just what I am taking from this email
is what I would never do, which I would not do.
I like more just to be like, amen, can you
do a three o'clock? Yeah, okay, I'll see that.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Well, you you're a role with the vibe kind of
guy when it comes to that. So they are not.
They are probably buttoned down. They're probably capricorns. One of them.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
I've been a guest. I can tell you that I've
been a guest let's just say, five or six podcasts,
and I haven't had anything like that in my past,
you know what I mean? They say can you come
at three? I'm like yeah, and then we just go yeah.
And I've never said take that out either. You know.
I'm just what I'm saying is I'm taking this email
from them and learning to never do anything like that.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
I think you just don't like I think that John Jay,
John Jay, I know, just doesn't like any paperwork. Remember, like, God,
remember when that CIA wanted to sign John Jay and
I want to Jay when it fill out the paperwork represented.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
Or you know what that's so funny I got to
bring up because there's somebody I know that works at
c A. I totally forgot about that, Like they knew
a lot about it that give us a business card.
They get it was this is like twenty something years ago.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
They want to how we showed up to a meeting
and they knew a lot they were talking about it.
We're like, oh, we didn't know that. Yeah, but we
never signed anything at all. We probably be on Netflix
right now, that's right, but we didn't. We didn't want
to sign the paperwork that said what what are your
what are your goals? What are you impatients like, No, no, no,
we don't. We don't. We don't do that.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
What else? What else going on in the podcast? I
had something else is going to bring up there? Stuff
I have for the podcast, or stuff I have for
not for the podcast. Uh, you guys, guy anth you
want to bring in the podcast?

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Oh I thought you were kind of talking about your podcast.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
No, no, no, no, I meant this podcast that we're doing
right now at the ball.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
What we've done is we've brought our energy to this podcast,
so we're ready to go. Anything anybody wants to ask us,
they can bring it.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
We don't have any of those lists.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Yeah, that's right. We're not organized.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
Regulations or demands.

Speaker 6 (06:47):
I have.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
I wrote some notes on some stuff. I think I'm
going to go. I'll talk about this in the afterwards.
Podcast because I was going to tease it a little
bit tomorrow on the air. I'm doing the new thing
on Thursday.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
The new thing, a new health thing.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
A new biohack combo thing, something I've done before. I'm
doing uh. And I say this to you without knowing
all the information. I just agreed to it. So I'm
doing some sort of I'm getting in some sort of egg,
like a big plastic egg, and then it's like red

(07:22):
light and sauna and detox, and then I'm going into
another machine and doing a colonic.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
What I know. I gotta tell you, man, I would
advise you strongly against the doctor.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
I'm actually heard that as well.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
It's really bad for you.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
I feel like doctor Oz has talked against it. I've
done one twice once around you, I think in Tucson.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Yeah, we both didn't remember that. I remember we did
him on the air.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
And then I think I did one when I lived
in San Diego. And I think I was totally fine
in my life before the colonic, and I think it
messed up by digest. It's the put a hose up
your backside and they flush you out.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
Yeah, but supposedly it literally flushes out all of the
good bacteria that's in there too, and that's why it
can be dangerous.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Yeah, I think it messed me up for years. Yeah,
well definitely you do.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
That's because it's not a biohack. It's not a biohack,
then it's not actually helping you of.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
All the ways to lose weight. I don't know. I
don't think the chlonic is good for you. Based on
my experience of two times. I thought it was fine
during but afterwards I had to deal with it for
a while.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
I've done it before and it didn't bother me. I mean,
it's pretty fascinating when you're going through it, when they
fill up your stomach with all the fluid and then
you feel like you're going to poop all over the
table and then you don't. And so but this company
reach out to me and I was like really intrigued
with it, so it's not And then I was talking
to this doctor yesterday on my podcast that were talking
about earlier, John jannas pocast doctor. His name is doctor Pampa,

(08:53):
and I asked him about C colonics and this is
what he said to me, I goes, he goes. And
I thought this phrase was so interesting. I go, what
do you think about colonics? He goes, they're good as
long as you don't get addicted, And I was like, addicted.
I can't see you getting addicted to shove the sea
up your ass.

Speaker 5 (09:11):
See you getting addicted totally is beneficial.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
I dropped ten pounds. You're gonna want to go do
it over and over again.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
I've done that before and you lose a lot of weight.
But I can't see putting this thing up my butt
all the time to do it. So apparently people get
addicted to doing.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Colonics really because it doesn't feel good, doesn't feel at all.

Speaker 5 (09:29):
The difference between a clonic and the other things gives Yeah,
that gives you the energy.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
The energy.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
I thought it gives you energy.

Speaker 5 (09:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
I mean if you do coffee animal, it's supposed to
be really energetic.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Well, I think the colonics also give you energy. They
do something because the fluid they it's something like that.
But I know that an enema is maybe the first
like ten inches of your colon, and I think a
colonic is your whole stomach or everything. I think, oh
you know, I'll have those answers. Thursday are Friday. I'm
doing it Thursday you getting.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Into a giant egg, I think is very interesting. I
don't know if I would do the chlonic, but the
big egg that that's all you Yeah, that's everything you're
looking for.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
They asked me if I wanted to do they go,
do you want to do all three? And I was like,
I don't know what all three are, but I was like.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Sure, what are the chances of us getting that egg
in here? Because I feel it's pretty big.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
It's pretty big. I don't think we get into the
front door.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
Yeah, but if there's a chance that you can get
them to put an egg and you're in the studio.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
For me personally, yes, I think it's one of those
one of those things you see the cartoons back in
the day where they're like in their head sticking out. Yeah,
and then it's I don't know, I didn't look at it.
I didn't look at it, but I feel that's what
it is.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
I totally feel like you're gonna get We've done that.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
Yeah, I've done that. It basically like detoxifies your body.

Speaker 5 (10:33):
But the reason that you have your head out is
because if your head is inside us sauna, your body
can't withstand as much heat. So they keep your head
out so the egg that you're in gets that much hotter.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
Yeah, so it's one of those. And then I think
it has red light in it too, and ozone or something.
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
Change the colors for whichever one you want. I've done it.
They're really awesome.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Can you see us going to commercials and John J
being like, Hey, I'm gonna go.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
I'll be the much that actually I want to egg too.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
Wait. Wait, if you're in the egg and only your
head's out, you can't like sit and scroll on your
phone or like what do you do the whole time?

Speaker 2 (11:06):
That's when you put on like the Apple Vision goggles
that follow your eyeballs.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
I don't know. Again, this is one of those things
I just said yes to and I haven't completely researched it.
I'll have answers for you on Friday. After I do it.
I can be like, oh, yeah, you could do this,
you could do that.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
But you're going to buy an egg. I know you are.
I thought I.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Thought that you go in the egg and then they
put insert the colonic in you while you're in the egg.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Shop.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
That's what I thought, And then I was telling the
doctor body yesterday, and he was like, that doesn't make sense.
And then I went to the video and I go, well,
here's the video, and then he goes, oh, yeah, it's
two separate things. I go, oh yeah, I go, I
didn't watch the whole video. I just said yes, so anyway,
And I am afraid.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
It is the U nitpick versus the things you just
go with are baffling to me.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
I know, the egg, I can't understand what the hell
that is.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
It is an egg. So you go like, here, it
looks like.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
A giant clam.

Speaker 5 (12:01):
Well, it is like a giant clam. And then it
looks like that, and then it closed.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
That might be it a big tanning bed.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
That's it's shaped. It literally looks like the Lady Gaga
egg that she came out of.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
I don't know, how is that Lady Gaga?

Speaker 4 (12:13):
No, that wasn't Lady Gaga.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
How long are you in one of those minutes?

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
Literally just your head shot up?

Speaker 1 (12:20):
Is that Lady Gaga? You said, Lady Goga?

Speaker 2 (12:24):
No?

Speaker 5 (12:24):
Just you know what the egg that she came out
and she did, like her little performance, that's what it
looks like.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
Real.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
Let me see how I can find it.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Would it be cool if they could figure out a
way that as soon as you get in your car,
John Jay, you have the red light.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Wait, I think it's the same egg. It looks like
this is it without the red light? Is that it?

Speaker 4 (12:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (12:38):
That's it?

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Yeah? Yeah, where'd you go and do that? Maybe I'm
going to.

Speaker 5 (12:40):
Same place Rejuvenate renew. Kadem's cousin owns that spot, so.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
She has it.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
No, I didn't go to I'm not going there.

Speaker 4 (12:46):
Yeah, she's awesome.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
I'll kay the name of the place after I go.
Premiere in fact the lady. Wait, it's premiere colon Hydrotherapy
and gut Wellness. I like that she doesn't do the
O zone song. That's an ozone sauna lymphanic lymphatic drainage.

Speaker 5 (13:04):
Yeah. And I heard that a lot of firefighters do
it because it detoxes your body.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
From all the smoke.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
Oh that's a good idea.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
Wow, I know that was really cool.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
And while you're ra at it, here's a host to
put up your butt.

Speaker 4 (13:15):
And it like has claims to like reverse.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
Oh in the girl and the woman that I'm talking to,
the owner, I'm not her name is whatever? Let say
your name is Francine. It's Francine the poop Fairy.

Speaker 4 (13:27):
Hilarious.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
I don't know, man, now I might be back yet.
Pretty good.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Anyway, so I'll let you know.

Speaker 6 (13:36):
I'm men to do that on Thursday, so Friday will
come in and see what it's like, you know what
I mean. Anyways, that's good afterwards podcast, Well am my
traders texting me, wonder what's going on you and have lunch.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
At this meeting?

Speaker 3 (13:48):
No, but that's why I'm like, literally like we better time.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
Before my life asked me that too. I go again
this meeting whatever, because are you guys having lunch there?
And I was like, it's weird, weird, doubt it.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
I think that doesn't ever happens.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
We've had meetings before where there was lunch when they
haven't leftovers. No, no, no, we'd have you with a memoria.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
Usually when Linda runs the meeting.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
It's when we have those huge focus blog meetings with
the where we got to go in the other room
and stuff. I don't I don't think it'll be lunch
today now that you say it, I'm starving. Do you
guys still go to lunch on Thursday at that place?
I know we only mean her one Thursday.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
I haven't this year, but we do still plan on them.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
