Speaker 1 (00:01):
Radio program, and I cannot figure out if we got
them or we didn't. I will say I dipped into
this a few times over the weekend, just try to
figure out if we did or we didn't get them.
And I still don't know if we got them or
we didn't. Ross do we have aliens or not? We
(00:22):
don't have aliens?
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Right?
Speaker 3 (00:23):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (00:23):
No, I don't think so okay, no aliens, because like
everyone wanted this to be like, oh, aliens, here we go.
And I watched a bunch of the videos and saw
the stuff that they released, I cannot definitively say we
have aliens. We have some weird videos, but no aliens.
We do have a bunch of Democrats who were sitting
(00:45):
around going, so what if we declared seventy percent of
the Virginia Supreme Court too old to do stuff? And
then we just put a bunch of people in all
at once that we thought were okay to save democracy.
I saw that and I thought, wow, that seems like
(01:05):
what an alien race would do if they knew nothing about,
you know, basically what we were trying to achieve from
a governmental perspective. And then I saw the New York
Times refer to it as hold on, let me get
the words right, an unusual gambit, you know, like it's
like it's a it's a it's a a quest game
(01:29):
video game, or so it's an unusual gambit. So that's
the thing that most convinced me we had aliens over
the weekend. Wasn't the videos. It's a forward pedagog people
going oh, bay, look at this. We don't know what
that is. Just watching what's going on up in Virginia.
What a crazy I'm telling you, man, that Friday hits.
(01:51):
You're not suspecting a thing. And then all of a sudden,
the news cycle just goes bonkers. And it was supposed
to go bogkers with aliens, and instead it's you know,
it's crapped like this. The King Jeffreys and Democrats are
so furious the Virginia Supreme Court struck down their illegal
power grab that they're now plotting to immediately replace the
court to nullify it. Here we go from the New
(02:12):
York Times quote. The most dramatic idea they discussed would
be to involve an unusual unusual gambit to replace the
entire state Supreme Court with a goal of reinstating their
gerrymandered map with true mixed reaction on a call. This
is a call of you know, democrats, said the people,
(02:34):
and it was not clear they would even be viable
or palatable to Governor Abigail Spanberger and Democrats in the
Virginia General Assembly.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Man.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
Absolute meltdown, absolute breaking. And I got to digest that
over the weekend. But I'm just trying to ignore all
the news cycle. I don't know what the hell's going on,
but unfortunately that's where we find ourselves this morning.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Oh good.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
Also my outlook being weird. We can handle that. We
can handle that because that's Monday, and that's pretty much
part for the course. How is Mother's Day? Ross you
do any Mother's Day stuff? Do you celebrate the mother?
Speaker 2 (03:15):
We had a nice weekend. We are absolutely exhausted. I'm
probably running now in about an hour and a half
of sleep. Oh just to let you know, I'm kind
of loopy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're going through the aliens right, yeah, no,
the sleep regression thing that Lofton is going through. So
he put him down. I looked this up, by the way, Yeah,
I look this up. But he's having like a really
tough time. So we put him down and he's been
(03:35):
waking up like every twenty minutes. So you talked about it,
and the Australians are here.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
Yeah. No, So anyway, just to let you know, yeah,
no problem. I actually did look that up on Friday
after you told me that after the show. I was like, yeah,
he's doing this weird sleep regression and I'm like, what
is that? I looked it up. Sounds horrible.
Speaker 4 (03:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
We also think he might have like a tooth or
two coming through, so m that on top of that
makes that pretty horrible.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Why don't you just get him implants? You don't have
to deal with all the tea stuff, you know what
I'm saying?
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Oh yeah, I mean well we did start the Tanning
and the Lasix so the Veneers. Yeah yeah, oh good.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Yeah you want him looks Maxie now back completely. Yeah,
when he's already adorable. I don't want I don't want
him to be mogged by other babies. Oh can you
imagine getting baby magged?
Speaker 3 (04:20):
No?
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Oh who would do that?
Speaker 2 (04:22):
Not in my house?
Speaker 1 (04:23):
M nope, nope. All right, so uh yeah, it's gonna
be that kind of Monday around here. All right, Well,
I'm gonna scream an outlook on your behalf and my
behalf for that matter. I guess stuff I gotta do.
I forgure out what the heck's up with dad? Uh,
we got fun audio for you. We don't have aliens,
so we'll have to, you know, have a semblance of
some sort of show. It's fine. I didn't want to
(04:47):
have to do it, but I guess we can go
ahead and do it. Yeah, that's where we are this morning,
NFL gripes and audio and uh insanity up in Virginia.
It's like we never left and we'll get right into it.
Coming up here on the CaCO Day Radio program. Those
of you thinking the rampant waste and abuse of let's
(05:07):
see home health care AIDS, we're noticing a pattern here
now daycares, autism treatment centers, and various other things that
we've seen in Minnesota, in California, where all of a
sudden we set up these funny mechanisms, all these brand
(05:28):
new businesses flourish. They all share the same address. Nobody's
at the address, No patients are at the address, no
kids are being daycare, no autism kids are being instructed.
If you thought that that was just a California Minnesota problem.
(05:49):
I'd like to know that here in North Carolina, apparently we're.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
In on it.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
It's almost as if you had lax oversight on a
variety of these federal programs where no real due diligence
was set up and people would just go do whatever
they wanted to do. Case in point, here we go.
North Carolina's autism billing jumped forty seven thousand percent. Remember
(06:22):
we're dealing with a percentage jump here, so if I
tell you anything over one hundred percent, then it doubled. Okay,
forty seven thousand percent in five years, North Carolina reported
a forty seven thousand percent increase in autism billings, according
(06:45):
to new reporting, Medicaid autism therapy billings reportedly jumped from
one point four million to six hundred and sixty million
in five years. That according to state auditor Dave Bullock, quote,
these are vital services to folks and individuals that need therapy.
(07:06):
When you have, in North Carolina a system that went
upon from one point four million for total billings in
autism therapy to more than six hundred and sixty million
in a five year range, that begs an audit, said Bullock.
The report follows investigative journalists exposing fraud in states like Minnesota, Ohio, Michigan.
(07:31):
In Minnesota, group of people sold two hundred and fifty
million part of the Feeding Our Futures program claim to
feed thousands of kids that didn't exist. One hundred people
have been charged in that. So we are just we're
just nipping the edges here. And this is the thing.
(07:53):
When you are already in a situation which has oversight
issues and then you have a six hundred and sixty
percent in excuse me, a forty seven thousand percent increase
from one point four million to six hundred and sixty million,
what are we even doing here?
Speaker 5 (08:13):
Now?
Speaker 6 (08:13):
We see in North Carolina, the story came out today
that they've had a forty seven thousand percent increase in
autism billings. Forty seven thousand percent over what four years?
It's impossible. So I agree that AI is the key
to the lynchpin to stopping this, but it has to
(08:33):
be the right AI because AI can be corrupted. So
it has to be set with the right information because
AI looks at what gets put in and that's what
it formulates when it comes up with the answers to
questions that we have. We have to take the human
element out of this because we cannot trust the people
who are in these positions to do.
Speaker 5 (08:52):
The right thing.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
Yeah, no kidding. And again you see a number like that,
it should I I don't know almost. I don't know
if I'm comfortable letting math and AI trigger stoppages, but
it should I don't know. Send an email to some
folks going, hey, this is weird, right, but unfortunately it didn't.
(09:15):
Now how far we're going to be able to drill
down into this, I mean, feasibly with the state legislature
should be something we can do. I don't expect Josh
Stein is going to be jumping at it. And of
course the uh, the attacks not to do anything will
I'm sure be vicious and not about the issue at all.
(09:36):
It'll be like, ah, why do you want the uh,
why do you want autistic kids to not have therapy?
You monsters? But again, I just I see a pattern here,
and when we see patterns we try to You almost
have to go out of your way to ignore stuff
like that. If I removed all of the context and
the politics of that, and I just said to you,
(09:57):
hey man, so we got a government pro that in
five years had a forty seven thousand percent increase. And oh,
by the way, it's not really reviewable in most circumstances.
You basically have to have the outrage model where people
are will be willing to dig into it. But I'd
be very interested to see the pattern of who might
(10:19):
have been dipping their beaks, so to speak, in something
like this. So the reaction, I mean, because Bullet could
do whatever he can do, but it's still up to
the legislature and feasibly up to the governor's office to
sit here and get serious about this stuff. And I
(10:43):
didn't see any immediate reactions, but it's pretty bad, all right.
Going back to the Virginia thing. Do you know that
the Virginia Democrats were in such a hurry to start
cobbling together some semblance of a plan to deal with
what was going on that after the Virginia Supreme Court
ruling they issued immediately they issued a brief try to
(11:07):
kind of delay the decision. This is basically then being
told that, hey, procedurally you had a way to do this,
you ignored the process, you did it anyway, and so yeah,
you're jerrymandering. Doesn't get to work, so twofold pr thing
where they're like, hey, everyone voted. Everybody voted, and now
they're overturning the will of the people. We have to
(11:27):
do something. And also they misspelled in their court filing
to basically stop the court from injecting itself into this.
They misspelled the words Virginia and senator in their motion.
It was so hastily put together, just kind of surprising
because you would assume they had this thing ready to
(11:49):
go regardless of which direction it went, just you know,
just being prude on it. Clearly they did not. Speaker
of the Virginia House of Delegates Don Scott is all in,
I get this thing fixed. Remember this is after FBI
(12:13):
just rated what Luise Lucas's business like ten different businesses.
She's all up in the in the marijuana business. So
now anything that you do which may require legislature to
do something, you now have the issue of the head
(12:36):
of the Senate. There, missus Lucas could be going to jail.
I mean, I don't know that any of them really
ever go to jail, but like feasibly, Mipe and you
wasted eighty million dollars. Now this does not detract because
I saw some of the GOP taking a victory lap, going, well,
this is why this is why we didn't bother, you know,
(12:59):
put money in there, knew that we could get this
done with the Virginia Supreme Court. No, you didn't. You
knew that was one of your options. And it's still
not done, right because now they're they got this like
weird conspiratorial plan where they're like, all right, we're going
to negate the appointment of these justices, most of which
(13:21):
we appointed. They have a different system up in Virginia
over the you know, over the last however many years
it took them home to get in there. We're just
gonna upend that whole thing, which again I don't know
is even something they could do. It kind of sounds
like they're in procedural hell, which they were with this, uh,
with the redistorting thing, and then they chose not to
(13:46):
do that. So I honestly, I don't know. Every time
I look up something that they're gonna do in Virginia
over this issue, they get a bunch of back and
forth reports about whether they can even do it or not.
And to me it didn't look like they can do it.
But I clearly won't stop them. So it'll be very
(14:07):
interesting over the next few days because they're gonna have
to immediately get on this. What they're actually gonna choose
to do. Let's see here, Well, I could just read
a lot of Lucas's dude. She was so vocal on Twitter.
It was to the point where they were bringing up
(14:27):
tweets of hers going into this where she's doing things like,
all right, put my calendar together. Today we're gonna be
celebrating redisserting, and then tomorrow we're gonna eat a bunch
of edibles. It's gonna be great. She was just she
put out these tweets. She put out a license plate picture.
She said, I'm gonna get this license plate and it's
(14:48):
a legislative Virginia license plate that just says ten and one.
Of course, that would be the breakdown had they done
the redisserting on left versus right seats. I am well aware.
I'm glad that I am the clearing house for all
bear related attack stories.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
But okay.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
An avid out doorsman was killed in a suspected bear
attack in Montana's Glacier National Park, and his family believes
he was hiking to a fire lookout to catch the
sunset when he died. Thirty two year old Anthony Polio,
a thirty three year old from Florida, or excuse me,
thirty three year old. That's weird. Why would you say
like that? Lost communication with his family On Sunday when
(15:29):
he did not return from a hike. His car was
found near the Lake McDonald Lodge. Search and rescue crews
found the body had suffered injuries consistent with a bear attack.
Here's the problem all approaches from the serious side for
just a moment. One of the things that was always
interesting to me, and it's not to say that people
(15:50):
can't come from a place and then thrive in that environment,
but one of the things that always baffled me about
many of the quote unquote bear experts spout or those
who would become like the the local knowledgeable individual in
(16:13):
an area. And this could be Glacier, could be Yellowstone
around Jackson, Wyoming, places like that. Ninety nine percent of
the time, it's not some old grizzled mountain man fifth generation,
probably Jim Bridger's great great great grandson. If you don't
know who that is. It's a big name everywhere. One
of the big settlers in the West, most of them
(16:37):
aren't from there, and they're always kind of this this
hippie vibe where it's like, oh, yeah, yeah, he's that's
a local guidesman. Yeah, he's from southern California, fell in
love with Glacier when he came out back in ninety seven, and.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
He's he's he's.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
The local expert here, local people. And I'll explain why.
So Glacier National Park is interesting like a lot of
Western because here's the thing. When you think of going
to a national park, and I'll give you an example.
Smoky's right. Let me give you an example to Touches,
(17:17):
North Carolina. Even though everyone goes, oh it's in Tennessee technically,
like the entrance part is, but not even the main one.
Glacier National Park is still so rugged that, like a
lot of national parks, when you get into the western
part of the United States up to it, including Alaska,
(17:39):
you can carry a gun, which is kind of unusual.
And it's because they recognize that it's so rugged and
so uncivilized and so really there's not fences. You know,
it's not as easily discernible as when you get into
a lot of the eastern parks, and of course there's
a lot of bears, Asheville is absolutely overrun with bears
(18:02):
this time of the year. But Glacier allows you an individual,
if you're if you've abided by whatever laws and they're
very minimal in Montana, you're allowed to carry a firearm.
And this is really important because there is zero point
zero percent chance I or anyone who has raised in
(18:25):
that environment would hike anywhere solo, especially this time of
the year, of old times of the year, but all
year really without a firearm. And I've noticed that one
of the things with the you know, the new sought
adventurers of the wild West that come out and establish
(18:49):
themselves as experts that are from another place, they'll tend
to be pretty hippy dippy on stuff. So the idea
that this dude was in bear country in prime bear
I may have even encountered a bear, and you have
still decided, Hey, you know what, I'm gonna go on
this backcountry high called by myself, and you thought, well,
(19:09):
I'll just have some August of pepper spray. It'll be fine.
There's nothing I can do for you. The remains were
found two and a half miles up from the Mount
Brown Tail, a trail in a densely wooded area. According
to Montana Free Press, u Polio's father, Arthur, tells Channel
(19:32):
ten his son was fearless and he was an experienced hunter. Again,
I'm sorry, the dude's dead. That does not sound like
an experienced hunter. Sure you can bring bear spray, I guess,
but if there's a little bit of wind, you're probably cooked.
(19:53):
And even after you spray the bear, you're recognizing that
the bear who's kicking into this weird like fight or
flight boat won't just instinctually, especially if he can hear
or smell you. He doesn't need to see you. He
isn't gonna kick into full bear mode. Quote tons of experience, educated,
very smart, that say his brother Nicholas, who believes he
(20:17):
made the last minute decision to go down the trail
to quote see the sun set from the fire watch tower. Arthur,
the father, posits his son was intercepted by a grizzly
and deployed bear spray in defense, believing his son attempted
to flee, but the bear pursued and seized him by
the shoulder.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
That's the other thing.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
Once it's got his closet and he especially grizzly. I
don't know what you're gonna do. Arthur points to a
bear spray canister recovered near the scene as the most
compelling evidence for the sequence of events. Quote, he's an
educated man and the bear just attacked and killed him. Yes, yeah,
that's what bears can do. And you're in the back
(20:58):
country with no firearm. That's crazy town. And it's interesting
when I see these stories. I always go on to
like hometown Facebook, right, all the Facebook, all the Facebook
for the people I grew up with, and every single
one is like, why don't don't you have a bear?
Wens you have a gun, which, again, you're in a
national park, but you can carry one because people recognize
(21:21):
how crazy close to nature you are when you get
into the back countries of Glacier National Park. Man last
report bear related injury occurred back in August in the park.
Bears that attack humans or exhibit dangerous behavior are often
euthanized to ensure public safety. This policy follows the bears
(21:45):
Man the Bear Management Plan, which prioritizes human safety when
a bear is deemed a significant threat. Yeah, this is
all the back and forth with the wolves too. Again,
it's a dicey issue, but I can't take it soon
seriously when somebody's like, yeah, this guy knew everything you
could do. Yeah he was, he was. He was basically, uh,
(22:10):
you know, an old timey settler, which again isn't true
coming from a family of old timey settlers in that
particular part of the country. If you're in bear country,
you have a firearm, you're not looking at you. You
don't set out to kill a bear, mostly because it's
gonna be paperwork. They're gonna run your name in the news.
Animal rights people are gonna get mad at you, like
(22:31):
the bear should eight you, bastard. But there is zero
chance whether I was taking a uh you know, a
sunset trip on the hiking trail to go see what
the bears are up to or go watch the uh
the sunset, I guess that you'd find me padding around
(22:51):
in the back country as we call it, up there
with no firearm. On the other side of Montana. Earlier
this week, two hikers were seriously injured following a bear
attack in the infamous Old Faithful Geyser area. I don't
know why it's infamous. A lot of everywhere in the
parks got bears but had not been killed. So all
(23:13):
is to say, yes, I did see your bear story,
and I read all the stuff, and the only thing
I can't understand is why somebody was a self professed
bear expert from Florida decided that was a good place
to go hiking without the most significant bear strategy device
(23:36):
that you could be carrying. Other than to say, well,
it's just super green knew everything he was supposed to do.
Had twelve year old beat Look, bro, I had my
mom remind me to carry a firearm into the woods
when I was like twelve. They all you guys are
going hiking. I hope you have a gun, my mother,
(24:00):
because that's just normal. Of course I have a gun. Mom,
don't worry, I got such and such.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
It'll be fine.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
And then she literally would rest easy knowing that we
were prepared for bear attacks. So maybe I'm just looking
through a different lens. All right, let's do this, we'll
come back. Like I said, I got a bunch of
audio I want to get to. It was this, you're
going on a hike like this with firearm works? Well,
(24:26):
you want something that's punchy, I you know, fifty Cali
eagle that works. There's some you know, there's some other
stuff you can carry. You don't necessarily need something like that,
but I'm gonna tell you, man, if you're getting in
with a grizzly, you're gonna want something big Classic five
hundred to work if you think you can handle that monster.
(24:52):
But it's gonna work a hell of a lot better
with bear spray. And again, you don't want to do
it because you're gonna end up in the news, but
you're all also gonna end up on the news alive,
and that's what matters here. Six forty five hang On
influencers are dead after they ignored warnings about an act
(25:12):
of volcano because I guess they wanted to smoke quite literally,
so a volcano that was erupting. There is a pretty
horrific video of some people, so at least they are
on the periphet. I mean they themselves are idiots too,
because they're hiking up there, but where you can literally
see them as the volcano's erupting. Commenting on the fact
(25:35):
that there was a bunch of people by the coldera
there and now they're dead. They're all dead. They're all dead,
and it was because about thirty people decided that even
though there was a warning, They're like, hey, don't go
up near the volcano because you're probably gonna die. They did,
and according to those around, they wanted to quote get content,
(25:58):
so they said, screw it, we're gonna go there. So
to me, that's arguably in the dumb death department over
the weekend. I would rank that first. That's just Darwin
doing what Darwin does. And then second is bear dude,
who's like, I don't need a gun, even though in
this situation, unlike in other situations, so with many national parks,
(26:21):
you can carry one ten millimeters. The other one I
thought of, although I don't know that I trust that
round enough, although it's getting close. Glock's got a ten
mil now not the only ones, but that's the word
consumer friendly one that might be good bear stuff there,
but a volcano it doesn't care what kind of gun
you have. That's not gonna work. And then third on
(26:44):
that list, and maybe it should rank higher, is what
happened in Denver. There is video kinda of this, you
can see it. It's more like that grainy thermal look.
Because this happened before midnight. Person dies after being hit
by Frontier Airlines plane taking off at Denver Airport. A
(27:08):
person who jumped the fence and was on a runway
at d IA Denver International was struck and killed by
a Frontier Airlines plane during takeoff. Imagine that you're on
a Frontier flight. You already know it's gonna suck because
it's a Frontier flight, man, but you bit the bullet.
You save some money. Maybe it didn't get screwed on
(27:30):
the uh with the you know the check bag thing.
Now you're on your way, and then all of a sudden,
somebody decides they're gonna run across a a runway. And
what's the craziest thing is on the video you can
see the person cognitively stop and do the look both
ways thing and then proceed out on the runway not realizing,
(27:54):
you know, how flastic plane's going when it's taken off
or landing on a runway like two hundred miles an hour,
you're moving to get a standard jet off off the
ground there, So looking both ways again in a situation
where it's eleven nineteen at night, So yeah, I mean
(28:17):
you're gonna have to You're gonna rely on there's so
many lights on a plane that's doing what it's doing,
and it's a plane. The plane on the route from
Denver to Lax quote reportedly stroke a striked, adn't stroke
struck a Prodesterrian after takeoff at Denver at approximately eleven
nineteen on Friday, A spokesperson for the airport said the
(28:39):
person who jumped a perimeter fence is dead. Yeah, no kidding,
That's what happens when you get hit by a plane.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
He said.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
The identified unidentified person was hit two minutes after entering
the airport, not believed to be an airport employee. The
pilot doing, you know then what the pilot's instructed to do,
and that is to get fuel on board, and souls
could be heard on the ATC saying that they have
two hundred and thirty one souls on board. And then
(29:09):
there was an individual walking across the runway. The traffic
controller responds, quote, we're rolling the trucks, and the pilot responds,
we have smoking the aircraft. This person likely got sucked
into the engine. We're going to evacuate the runway. And
they did the slides and everyone on the plane was fine, obviously,
(29:33):
but now you're on a delay. The plane carrying two
twenty four passengers, seven crew members. One passenger, Jacob Athens,
posted video showing people sliding down with their backpacks. That's
the other thing you ever thought, what you're gonna do
in that instance, because they tell you to leave all
your stuff, and I kind of feel like, if you
(29:56):
have a carry on that's readily accessible, even though you're
in a slide situation, you're taking that, broz. You ever
stopped to think if they ever had to do the emergency,
because they'll tell you to leave everything, But if you
got your backpack right there under the seat in front
of you, you're taking that right You get side eye,
but really at that point, they just want you to
get out of there. As we were lifting off, the
(30:19):
engine of the plane exploded. There was so much smoke.
I couldn't see a foot in front of us, said
Athens on his Facebook page. I'm gonna assume Athens is
a little older, doesn't say Athens on his Facebook page
also complained that they had to wait for over an
hour on the runway, didn't even have transport to help,
(30:40):
and it was cold. Yeah, it's that time of the year.
I know what you're thinking it's May and I'm like, now,
that's still that time of the year. Remember there he
had like a big snow warning going into the weekend.
Denver Airports of the National Transportation Safety Board had been
notified and the incident was under investigation, but it remained
(31:02):
it reopened. Let's see Saturday around eleven AM's about twelve
hours after because you got to get planes something the
here man. Sean Duffy, the Transportation Secretary, said the person
breached aircraft airport security at Deia, deliberately scaled a perimeter
fence and ran out unto the runway because that's the
other thing, like well, you know with suicide by plane,
(31:23):
and I'm like, well, why are you looking both ways?
Speaker 2 (31:25):
Then they got lots of questions.
Speaker 1 (31:29):
I don't know what was going on in the individual's mind,
but one, you're not going to be to play. If
you see a plane coming you're trying to cross a runway,
just let it go. Man, probably don't want to be
too close when it does go by, either for whoever
insanity you're undertaking. So hypothetically, somebody showed up in a
(31:49):
Joe dirt sweatshirt and thinks that her T shirt and
thinks that they can spend their entire day interacting with
people only using Joe Dirt lines.
Speaker 3 (31:58):
Well, it ain't a media Yeah it came out of
the sky.
Speaker 5 (32:01):
Well I'm sure it did, but it ain't. No maydie,
there's a big old frozen chunky Yeah.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
Okay, So I want you to picture this. It's a
like warn Denham kind of vibe. You got like an
American flag in the background, but you know, it's, like
I said, it's that Warren Denham kind of look. And
then you have Ado with a mullet who may or
may not be Joe Dirt given the hook of horn sign,
(32:29):
the little devil rock thing right with the two fingers
up and the thumbover and then it just says America.
And that's what somebody felt met. The dress code requirements
of the show This Morning does allow them to only
interact with people using Joe Dirt voice, mannerisms, and or
(32:51):
actual lines from the movies.
Speaker 7 (32:53):
So you're gonna tell me that you don't have no
black cats, no Roman candles or screaming mamies. No, oh
mom man, you don't got no lady fingers, buzz butterles,
snicker bombs, church burners, finger blasters, gut busters, zibity do
dies or craft flappers.
Speaker 5 (33:07):
No, I got it.
Speaker 3 (33:08):
You're gonna stand there owning a fireworks stand and tell
me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen splitters,
whisker biscuits, honkey riders, hoosker doos hoosker, don'ts cherry bombs,
nips and dazers with it without the scooter stick or
one single whistling kiddy chaser.
Speaker 1 (33:27):
Where does one get a shirt like that?
Speaker 2 (33:29):
Yeah, it's so. Marky got me in the shirt as
a gift yesterday and it.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
Was Mother's Day this weekend. It's not even your weekend.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
Hey, it was a random gift and it just happened
that it showed up on Mother's Day. But I did that,
and she got it from Sheen, So.
Speaker 1 (33:42):
They probably sh They probably thought that's how it's spelled.
They didn't even realize just as America completely right. Yeah,
I mean, it's very very patriotic there.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
So every morning I take a selfie myself because it's
a thing that Lincoln needs when he gets out of
the car, when he goes to school. He wants to
see a photo of his dad before he goes off
into school. It's been a thing we've done now for well, well,
I guess.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
By the way, sometimes ross manipulates this photo with Ai.
Yeah yeah, sometimes they do just for fun, which causes
a little yeah. Yeah, so I took you know, I
sent Marky the selfie for today and she's like, oh,
you're wearing the shirt l O L.
Speaker 2 (34:19):
And I'm like, I love the shirt, Absolutely love the shirt.
Fantastic shirt. That's what Lincoln gets to wake up to.
Speaker 1 (34:28):
Nat.
Speaker 7 (34:29):
You like to see HomeOS naked?
Speaker 4 (34:31):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (34:31):
My way, you make it to see homos naked?
Speaker 3 (34:34):
That's cool, man, whatever.
Speaker 2 (34:37):
Yeah, your show. So Markey's sister was visiting like three
weeks ago, yes, and we're looking for something to watch
on the fire TV, right, And.
Speaker 1 (34:45):
She's right, because I was trying to get you to
watch the whole thing. And you're like, yeah, she's not interested.
Speaker 2 (34:49):
She's unaware of the ongoing joke that's been you know,
Joe Dirt on this show for over ten years, over
a decade, forty years whatever it's been. Yeah, And she's
scrolling through and she's like, what about Joe Dirt and
Mark he's in the kitchen. She's like, stop, stop, they
don't do it.
Speaker 1 (35:06):
Here's what they watched. They watch Godfather one, Joe Dirt
and then Godfather.
Speaker 2 (35:10):
Too, which is the correct order of watching those films.
Speaker 1 (35:13):
And then Joe Dirt again. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, because
you want to even it out there. All right, Well,
I'm very happy about your shirt there. That's very nice.
I think the salespeople are not gonna know what you're saying.
I think he's going to confuse him.
Speaker 2 (35:25):
See, you're in You're in the weird impression that I'm
gonna interact with people at all today.
Speaker 1 (35:29):
Well I know, I no, no, no, I'm not under
that impression. I understand that the the lore around the
station is that you don't exist Ross's. It's like the
birds aren't real. People Ross ain't real.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
I turn into like Jason Bourne when it is very ninja. Yeah,
when it comes to leaving the building, when there's people
in here.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
Who was I talking to? I was talking to Jeff
for one of the other salespeople last week, and I
was thinking it was like right after the show, and
a part of me is like, well, why don't you
just pop into Ross's studio? And then I'm like he's
probably gone. Un if he's in the studio, he'll be
in his you know, he'll be in like full gilly suit.
Speaker 2 (36:07):
You don't understand, Like, I'll get to work four to
five hours early.
Speaker 1 (36:12):
Just yeah, you're coming very yeah, just so I.
Speaker 2 (36:14):
Can get my work done, so I can get out
here before people get here.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
Correct. Yeah, yeah, there's no snake bit to this point
that they won't even attempt to drive by after the
show to find you.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
We did. We had some sort of station get together.
I don't know, I don't know where. It was, like
maybe like last fall. I remember that was the thing
where I showed up to it and people were like,
wow you again, Yes you're a real person.
Speaker 1 (36:39):
Yeah, because you and I were standing It was. It
was when we had all the client things in there,
because you and I were like standing you and why
swear to you? Ross Is has a watch on and
has a timer running for an hour, because that's it,
that is the bare minimum. And people were because we
had all the out of town, all the out of
(37:01):
market hosts.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
Yeah too. It was after the new remodel, is what
it was. Yes, yeah, yes, yes, yes, yeah no. And
I told you get an.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
Hour, you get an hour, and you kept to it
even got some photos out of us made Ross and
I go do photos and I've still never seen I
don't know if they exist. But we sat there and
it was like it was like an old timey sideshow exhibit.
(37:26):
I don't know how to describe it. People were like,
is that the bearded lady?
Speaker 2 (37:31):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
That But now you can do it in your glorious
Joe Dirt America shirt. So that's nice. So if it
is on Sheen, I'm sure that there's probably some IP
issues with that too, right.
Speaker 2 (37:44):
Yeah, you know, I bet you they don't care.
Speaker 1 (37:47):
I bet you.
Speaker 2 (37:48):
I bet you.
Speaker 1 (37:49):
Poor Joe Dirt's getting no money off.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
I'm sure this is I know. I'm sure a percentage
of this purchase went right to David Spade. You think so?
Speaker 1 (37:57):
I don't know about that. Let me grab a quick
phone called burn Thanks for hanging on.
Speaker 2 (38:01):
What's up.
Speaker 8 (38:03):
The reason I gave my wife purchase two firearms was
if everythown myself from Bear Country a forty four bag
and a rock twenty.
Speaker 1 (38:13):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely. I like how you went with two firearms.
Sure you got two out of the deal over your
wife bears?
Speaker 8 (38:20):
Yeah, four zombies whichever way?
Speaker 1 (38:23):
What goes, hey, man, you're just protecting the family and
maybe her one day one hunder Yep, yeah, all right,
thanks for the call there, Bernie. Bernie sounds like a
guy who wants America's shirt with Joe dirt on it
walking around with his forty four mag there. Now, if
you're a hippie, dippy lunatic, I would recommend twenty two
(38:43):
room fire for you. I think that's gonna be your
most effective go away bear around there. Oh yeah, they
hate that in casey. Isn't that a small round? Yeah,
but like bears hated. Gotta keep pulling down on that trigger. Man,
It'll be fine, dude. Remember back in the day when
(39:06):
you could, like we you could like dictate giveaways and
stuff and it didn't care like T shirt. Ross and
I have been in radio enough that we could probably
outfit ourselves in just free T shirts for the rest
of our lives if we had taken advantage of all availability.
I literally have a box in my attic that's just
station te's from all the different stations I've worked out.
Speaker 2 (39:29):
There was so much stuff though. There was so much
like merch and swag, sack and CDs and all that
kind of stuff that I told my first job at
the Triple Wide down in Moorhead City where I worked
with JT. Right. He came over like, he said, listen,
if you're ever you know, yes going, if you ever
did broke and need some cash, here's the prize clause
(39:51):
that take what you want and pawn it or sell it.
Speaker 1 (39:53):
Yes, yeah, because who else? Who else is gonna go
to the paunchin be able to sell them? Like, uh,
you know, a hundred of the new Joe Diffy single
right on a gold dip.
Speaker 2 (40:06):
How much you gonna give me for these twenty copies
of tal Bachmann?
Speaker 1 (40:09):
How much? Yes, never played, still wrapped in the plastic,
not available to consumer, But mister ponshop guy, you can
have him.
Speaker 2 (40:18):
He's looking at it, He's like, is this a genuine
Shawn Mullen CD? Still in the rap? It is?
Speaker 4 (40:23):
It is?
Speaker 1 (40:24):
And it only has one song on it? Yeah, that's it,
and then some weird alternative track of Lullaby and then
promotional cuts.
Speaker 2 (40:33):
I ever tell you my Shawn Mullen's story? No, so
once again, same radio station down in Moorhead City in
eastern North Carolina. And there's a place we used to
go to in Greenville called the Attic. It's where everybody
would go like we would bring like music accent. Right.
So Seawan Mullens comes in and we had promoted this
for like a month and a half, you know, coming
to the edic, Sean Mullen's singing lullaby right. So he
(40:55):
gets on there and it's a packed house and the
crowd and the guy's in the front, like, play lullabye.
Speaker 1 (41:02):
What it's sort of like the play for you, Like
you wouldn't have remembered, you would have remembered to play
that one.
Speaker 2 (41:08):
So they plays the first song and it's not lullabye,
and this guy's going crazy. And he plays the second
song it's not lullaby and guy's going really angry and upset.
He does this really four or five songs. Finally Sean
Mullens freaks out, absolutely freaks out, destroys his guitar. He
screams at the audience and he's not playing. He is angry.
He screams at the audience, I'm not a blank in jukebox,
(41:32):
but you are. And he leaves.
Speaker 1 (41:36):
It's I think it's worse for them when they're having
to do these things and you're in like you're not
even in a rated market.
Speaker 2 (41:42):
It never played lullaby, never sang it.
Speaker 1 (41:45):
This is what they do.
Speaker 2 (41:46):
I'm not a jukebox. Off the stage, dude, They're only
there to hear your hit single man.
Speaker 1 (41:52):
I told you the Rod Stewart story, right, yeah, maybe,
so this is again, this is one of the crazy.
This was the first time I realized where real money is, right,
and that was I'm in Santa Barbara right now. I'm
in college and I'm doing the stage hand thing. And
with you're with the Iazza Union, you'd also get anytime
somebody wanted to hire stage hands and they want to
(42:16):
go through the union, they would contact you. So we
got to work like I got to do like I
had to do stuff for Oscar party one time. That
was very cool. But the craziest thing was I went
to this dude's wedding and he's a billionaire and the
woman he's marrying her family's billionaires, so lots of money
and just you understand the level of money. Santa Barbara's
(42:37):
ungodly expensive. And so it's where you have Montecito, It's
where the Prince Harry and Megan Marko live and Oprah
and all the rest. And so this dude who owns
Star Telecomutity, you can look this up. Star Telecommunications is
marrying the daughter. She's the heiress to uh some taco
fortune down Texas. They they bought a ranch in Gaviota,
(43:01):
which is north of Santa Barbara. Just bought the ranch.
Just hold the ceremony there, and they had for their reception.
They had Rod Stewart, Journey Rio Speedwagon play the main reception.
It was mc by speaking of Joe Dirt, Mister Joe
(43:22):
Dirt himself and Jay Leno. They had substages where they
had like Michael McDonald doing stuff as the procession walked by,
and I got to work this thing, and I'm working
this whole thing for days ahead of it, and then
they had the event, and the days have made so
much money off. It was just in heaven because it
was such an easy gig, because everything was basically it
(43:45):
was just you know, cookie cutter, plug and play. Because
it was a temporary stage. Sweet spend SPA's doing days
doing this. And whoever the wedding planner was is in
a heated argument with Rod Stewart because Rod Stewart has
indicated he is not doing Maggie May because he's not
a jukebox. And it's like, bro, we hired you for
(44:08):
a wedding. You're Rod Stewart. You're doing Maggie May.
Speaker 2 (44:12):
Yeah, but yeah, right, we hired you for the wedding.
You're literally at the moment, a jukebox. That's what you are.
Speaker 1 (44:18):
It, you're it. And you know what he did it?
He did Maggie May because you can't not. And I
don't even know what the beef was that started. I
just remember listening to this thing with one of his
people and then whoever the wedding dude was talking to
the guy who's getting married, who was, by the way,
very nice. My first interaction, well, I should say my
first interaction with a billionaire, but my first professional interaction
(44:41):
with one dude was so nice. Dude was so nice.
And then he's then he's down there arguing with Rod
Stewart's guy. I can't I don't know all the conversation.
Speaker 2 (44:52):
I can't understand if the artist is putting on a
show like, hey, so and so is coming to the venue,
sure by takes for it. Yeah, that point, man, the
set that they want play is it's that they want
to play. But if you're if you're personally hiring a
talent to do it to an event for you, then
they should sing what you want them to sing.
Speaker 1 (45:09):
And he's not even going to full full concert. It's
doing like three or four songs.
Speaker 2 (45:12):
At that point.
Speaker 1 (45:13):
You are a dancing monkey, you know what I mean? Yes, yeah,
in the same way I was. I'm just I just
here to push stuff in and out of trucks and
then set it up and then tear it down do
that wedding was so big the night or the day
of the wedding, entertainment tonight had a crew there just
because it was so absurd what was going on. They
(45:33):
bought they bought a parcel in this place called Hope Ranch,
which is just think of the one of the richest
conclave of super rich people on the planet, right barrier
entry level in the nineties, early twenty twenty million per house.
They bought this one. They built a church, had it sanctified,
(45:54):
did the wedding there. As far as I know, I
never went on to be a church bunch after that,
did the ceremony there, and then the part where Rod
Suit and everybody what that was the reception that was
about twelve miles up the road in Gavio. Dude, it
was the craziest thing I'd ever seen, be a kid
from Wyoming looking at that level of excess. These were like,
(46:15):
these are full on circus tents that they had, Like
Pastel died to do the reception and just stroke the
check end up on the news. Wasn't gonna do Maggie May.
I have no idea what he paid him. I don't
know how the conversation went. I just know that he
did Maggie May. But it's arguably far worse if you're
(46:38):
Bullin's because literally I can't tell you another Mullen song.
Is there another Mullen song?
Speaker 2 (46:46):
He came out with a second song, but I don't
recall what it was. So not really, not really.
Speaker 1 (46:52):
And artists are already upset with the fact that they're
having to do the dog and Pony show in what
we would consider a small market too what they do,
that's just how it is.
Speaker 4 (47:03):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (47:03):
Who's the redhead from the UK?
Speaker 6 (47:05):
Ed?
Speaker 1 (47:05):
We to Ed Sheeran, right, he's a pretty big deal now.
I remember in the old Greensboro studios because initially we
didn't have my own studio there. So when I first
started We're on in Greensboro and I first started doing shows,
I'd go over and I'd be in like this top
forty studio and it was plaster that the thing was
covered with Ed Sheeran photos and signed merch and all
(47:26):
that stuff. And I remember asking the program director, I'm like,
when do we get that? Like, oh, yeah, when he
was just trying to figure out whether it was good
or not, he came here, We had him to do
a bunch of stuff. He signed everything. Apparently it was
super nice. But I just imagine Ed Sheeran the star
that he is having to slog through that on the
Wacky Morning Show at like six in the morning, because again,
you're a musicians, were up all night doing your stuff,
(47:48):
but you got to pay your dues. It's what you do.
So I'm surprised it got to Mullins. All right, it
is seven twenty three here on the CaCO Day radio program.
I will say this. I just happened to be in
proximity of a TV on Saturday, well later in the evening,
was out up to no good and just kept glancing
(48:09):
up at the Lakers game. Bross. I could watch NBA
where Lebron's getting twenty three points hung up on him
all day in a playoff game, and again, I don't
care about either team, but just watching him lose his
crap when he's getting absolutely destroyed as his team's getting swept.
Oh oh, I can't decide, do you. I think I
(48:34):
want him to go to the finals, though I'm a
little torn on this. I want him to get to
the finals and then get swept in the finals and
that to be the last thing that happened.
Speaker 2 (48:42):
I just want that fraud to go away. I cannot
wait for him to retire. And I've said this before
and I mean it sincerely. He destroyed the league. He
did something.
Speaker 1 (48:54):
If you get in the thunder beating you by way,
it was twenty three.
Speaker 2 (48:58):
I think I'm telling you remember this bookmarket if you
can do that. Once he retire, when he goes, ratings
are going to go up. Ratings are going to go back.
There are people that stop watching because Lebron, and I'm
one of them. Can't stand him.
Speaker 1 (49:16):
Yeah, but can you can you enjoy watching him in
the playoffs? Get you know?
Speaker 2 (49:20):
I don't even want to see him m It's the
entire debate that we've had to sit through as people
that live through the Jordan era of us having to
sit here and act like the two are comparable. It
disgusts me, it really.
Speaker 1 (49:36):
Do you see the meltdown there having over on ESPN though,
because somebody put a list out and Steven Ah Smith
took umbrage with it that Lebron's technically the ninth greatest
player of all time. Yeah, I'd put him there. Maybe, Oh,
they were not dealing with that dude. The dude is
a loser in the he's a losing record in the finals.
(49:57):
But he's been more finals than Jordan. Well, yeah, because
he's played for like a thousand years. Yes, some would
point to that as well.
Speaker 2 (50:03):
In the stat line, longevity doesn't make you the go
The fact is Jordan accomplished more and less amount of time.
Speaker 1 (50:09):
Yeah, really mattered when it really mattered, just in height,
not just in the NBA but also in college.
Speaker 2 (50:15):
No, he's a stone cold killer.
Speaker 1 (50:17):
Yeah. The last dude you want with the ball in
the hand with three seconds left him and Larry bird
Man because they just ugly beat you. Bird The only
reason bird arguably was a better beat you at the
last minute is because when the stakes are the highest.
He would he would tell you exactly what he's gonna do.
(50:38):
He goes, I'm gonna take two steps to the left
and I'm gonna shoot it right over your head. And
then he would in the moments before literally point, hey,
that thing. I told you I'm gonna do that thing,
and then he would do it. Just insane.
Speaker 2 (50:56):
I'm just looking forward other day. We never have to
watch him flop again.
Speaker 1 (51:00):
Ever, well, the problem is five years after he gets out,
you know what we're gonna you know what's gonna happen, right,
We're gonna have We're gonna be party to the non
Unanimous Hall of Fame. Because it's gonna go in the
Hall of Fame, non unanimous, and it's gonna be some
reporter from I don't know whatever the newspaper is up
(51:22):
Buffalo or something. It's be like, yeah, I just didn't
like Zad. Then we're gonna everything's racist and everyone's so horrible.
Marked by words. If Ross is telling you to mark
by words, mark these words as well, and so we'll
have to watch that. So there will be a you know,
a little uh well, last minute little despasms. But for
(51:44):
the most party, it's really nice. You can watch that
and then you can turn over to the hockey and
you can see the Hurricanes basically or untouchable, just smoking people.
Their problem is that they may get to rest too long,
too much, going through these finals, just destroying folks.
Speaker 2 (52:05):
Truly impressive. I think the Hurricane Sabers would be fun
to watch. You want it, you want that smoke, It's
gonna be fun to watch. Do you have any Sabers gear.
I've never seen any. I'll just say you have a
Hurricanes hat?
Speaker 1 (52:19):
I know that much. Did you have a sweatshirt too,
don't you?
Speaker 9 (52:22):
I know?
Speaker 2 (52:22):
I know that city's on a high. Yeah, I do.
I have every Buffalo Bills thing ever. Uh, but I
know the city the Buffaloes on. You know, they're on
like a high right now though, because for the longest time,
the Sabers were absolute garbage and now they're doing damn good.
Speaker 1 (52:34):
I think they're hosting the draft too. The boy they
have a weird draft format. Now. Have you seen how
they do their lottery thing? It's so weird. They just
did it and I think Toronto got the Toronto got
the first pick. But they have like they have like
a lottery, but the first part of the lottery is
so that you can't get the first pick. So if
(52:56):
you have high numbers, feasibly you could draw a number
that eliminate you from potentially being able to get the
first pick. It's so weird, but yeah, yeah, the NHL
Draft is in Buffalo June twenty six, that's the date
that it starts. Very excited about that.
Speaker 2 (53:19):
Oh look at that. I didn't even realize.
Speaker 1 (53:22):
So then the next season start is November twelfth, and
Carolina is gonna go play in Finland. Because again, this
is what we're doing with all the sports now, taking
it on the road, forcing you to watch that. So
I thought this was rich. So apparently only fans creators
(53:43):
are mad at Sydney Sweeney because she's making them look
slutty or something. I don't know. Here's the headline, only
fans models upset with Sydney Sweeney's Euphoria character. So apparently
her character on Euphoria is a burgeoning OnlyFans model. And
so there's like these ridiculous scenes. One where she's dressed
(54:03):
it's like a slutty baby. What was the other one?
You said she was hooking up with a Nazi or something.
Speaker 2 (54:09):
There was some big scene. Everybody was freaking out. I've
never seen the show. What is it calling you?
Speaker 4 (54:12):
Four?
Speaker 2 (54:13):
Is that the show before you? For your show? I've
never seen it, but I know there was a scene
I was reading about online where she goes at it
with like a neo Nazi or a Nazi or something wonderful.
Speaker 1 (54:23):
Okay, so obviously a wholesome family entertainment there. I have
seen some screenshots of her character. She wasn't wearing the
baby outfit though one I saw though she was wearing,
well what babies wear normally, if you don't put clothes
on them. But yeah, so I'm looking at this and
(54:45):
I just laughed the whole time. Before Your creator Sam
Levinson talked about the absurdity of Sweeney's character in a
recent interview with The Daily Beast. What we wanted to
always find is the other layer of absurdity they were
able to tie in the gag is to jump out
to break the wall. However, several OnlyFans models have spoken
(55:07):
out quote. There's just a lot of ridiculous and cartoonish
features to it, said Sidney Leathers, an Only Fans creator
since twenty seventeen. I'm sorry, was that not the check
hooking up with Carlos Danger. The former New York.
Speaker 2 (55:23):
Congress stantions, Yeah, that is her.
Speaker 1 (55:25):
Yes, and I'm pretty sure didn't she do. The moment
that story breaks, she's like, I need to do a
ridiculous porn and I think she did. I'm at I'm
almost one hundred percent. I'd google it if I didn't
want the computer to explode. Quote. There's so much they
have her doing that is not even allowed on OnlyFans.
(55:49):
The age play stuff where she's dressed as a baby
is ridiculous. Wait a second, Sidney Leathers also sold her
farts the way do you say parts?
Speaker 2 (56:00):
No?
Speaker 1 (56:01):
I did not, I said farts. Oh she sold her farts.
It made like, I don't know, eight hundred thousand bucks
doing it. But do you think it's cartoonish? What's going
on there? Maitland Ward, isn't that the chick who was
on a kids show?
Speaker 2 (56:21):
What was she?
Speaker 1 (56:22):
She was on like a Nickelodeon show, And she's like,
I'm doing poor now the redhead. I can't remember name
which one she was on. I remember I didn't watch
the show, so I didn't get the full impact of
her suddenly doing porn for my generation, it was Showgirls
with Elizabeth Berkeley, where it's just that total heel turn
(56:43):
and you're just like, oh my gosh, is this happening?
So this was this is a little younger than us. Yeah,
what was she on? I love how they're like, oh,
she was an actress who was made famous.
Speaker 2 (56:55):
By Yeah, yeah, she was on Boy Meets World.
Speaker 1 (57:00):
Boy Meets World, that's what it is. Also sold her farts,
So but yeah, I'm sorry you getting a bad rap here.
This is because this is the thing for a lot
of times, when you have a non traditional profession and
then it ends up in a show, they're gonna go
(57:21):
for the most cartoonish version of it. Uh alright, so
what did what would Ward say? Quote? In the climate
we're in, they had her dressed as a baby, which
is beyond troubling and perpetuate certain stereotypes that OnlyFans. Models
have no moral compass, said the fart seller. Even Sophie Rain,
(57:47):
who I don't know anything about other than the fact
that she made like ninety million dollars last year because
she talks about it, and I don't even think she
gets all naked and stuff.
Speaker 2 (58:00):
I think she's yeah, no, she's the one, right, I
don't is it only fan, but she's the one, Like
she's famous for not doing it.
Speaker 1 (58:06):
Yeah, I think she does everything right up to the
line without the full thing. But the girl made ninety
million dollars last year. Remember talks about her talking about
her tax strategy. She's in Florida and like she was
discussing some adjustment that was a rounding air, which is
equal to maybe hopefully one day, if I'm very successful
(58:28):
doing this, the amount of money I might make over
a total lifetime. Uh. She went on to say, I
think some of the outfit Sweeney wears, especially the baby costume,
paints only fangirls in a very negative light. Quote. I'm
very conservative with my account, and depicting us as catering
(58:48):
to certain audiences and their fetishes is damaging to our community,
said the other girl who sold her farts. Hang on,
I'm gonna look this up. Did all three of these
girls sell their farts?
Speaker 2 (59:01):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (59:05):
God, if it's a trifecta, watch out. Nope, has not
sold her fart, So there is a level she can
go to. Ross you're ever considering bottling and selling your farts?
Speaker 9 (59:17):
You know?
Speaker 2 (59:17):
I haven't.
Speaker 1 (59:19):
You put like you put Mary the America could be
your scent. That'd be amazing. Oh my gosh, well she
didn't sell it. There is a viral Sophie Rain farting
song that gained popularity within the top twenty for downloads
(59:39):
for Apple Music. Yes, a fan made it. Wow, people
have too much time on their hands. All right, let's
get rased agic from the weather, Chelsea. If he survived
the weekend? What's going on after barely what happened?
Speaker 4 (59:55):
Ah?
Speaker 5 (59:56):
You know crazy?
Speaker 10 (59:58):
I had to purchase a car from my old had
a little Riley Green concerts. So look at me in
the Nissan road they're running. It's not this, Yeah, they're
actually running a great least special. So I went that
route because it's another bill for me until she graduates
(01:00:19):
grad school next year or so.
Speaker 5 (01:00:20):
I'm like, this is gonna be yours next year.
Speaker 1 (01:00:22):
So get ready, man, you need more financial.
Speaker 10 (01:00:24):
Responsibility exactly next Zaga job security, right or at least
I know that I'm staying here for quite a while anyway. Uh,
tricky because not everybody gets rained today, even though you're
gonna see rain on your app or whatever I'm gonna
tell you right now. A few spotty showers across the
triad right now into the triangle a stray shower, thundershower.
But if you go from about Surrey County and west
(01:00:47):
and north of that and into northwestern Stokes County, it
is raining so up near Mount area, and it's across the
border into southern Virginia, and maybe even a thundershower up
in northern northwestern Surrey County right now.
Speaker 5 (01:00:59):
And that's all going nos.
Speaker 10 (01:01:00):
So better chance of rain the further north and northwest
to go today around the Try and the trackle most
of us, a few showers, maybe a thundershower this afternoon,
but to the north, the closer to the Virginia border
you get, there will be a better chance of rain.
Temperatures near seventy today, then we'll dry out tonight, partly
Sunday Tomorrow lo to mid seventies. Some isolated showers and
thunder showers on Wednesday and Wednesday night and into early Thursday.
(01:01:23):
Then I think we're going into a dry and warmer
trend toward the end of the week and especially this
coming weekend when we're back in You're ninety in some spots.
Speaker 1 (01:01:31):
Okay, all right, thank you, sir, appreciate it. Seven forty
eight back in just a few Cacoday radio program, Glad
to have you along on our little Monday adventure here.
I don't understand how they get the podium with the
whole that, the flags and the legislative building logo and
(01:01:52):
all of that. There was a weird af press conference
on Friday at the North Carolina Legislature and again this
is this is that same little cabal, little tiny group
of quote faith leaders. It's all a bunch of like
women from churches in like Durham and Chapel Hill. But
yet whenever there's some sort of moral question, the media
(01:02:15):
treats him as though they're representative of the majority of
people who are people of faith in North Carolina and
not just about five or six really woke, moon bad
insane individuals. But let me just give you a little
sample of this, because this is what we were treated
to on Friday, because I guess this is what Jesus's
(01:02:37):
message is. Go ahead, crazy lunatic and see pastor lady.
Speaker 11 (01:02:41):
We have to draw a connection here between what we
are seeing in these crisis pregnancy centers what we are
seeing in other Christian nationalist policy. Imposition on the ability
for trans individuals to receive healthcare.
Speaker 1 (01:02:56):
And this is the religious version of if you don't
agree with me, you're not See everyone's a nazi. Oh
these uh, these pregnancy crisis centers.
Speaker 11 (01:03:07):
We have to draw the connection here between what we
are seeing in these crisis pregnancy centers.
Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
Which is the I guess the religious equivalent of this case,
Christian nationalism. All right, continue your lun what we.
Speaker 11 (01:03:21):
Are seeing in other Christian nationalist policy imposition on ability
for trans individuals to receive health care and gender affirming care.
To see what is happening in our schools with the
with the so called parents' Bill of Rights, and all
of the ways in which LGBTQ issues book banning, across healthcare,
(01:03:44):
across all of the issues that deeply impact North Carolinians.
This agenda is front and center, and the majority party
in this moment is the one that is are the
architects of those of those impacts. So we have to
tell the truth about the ways in which all of
the issues we are dealing with in the General Assembly,
across education, healthcare and beyond, are all tied to this
(01:04:08):
central agenda of Christian nationalism.
Speaker 1 (01:04:11):
Right, Okay, So everything we don't like is Christian nationalism. Again,
people who are on arguably the most fringe version of
what you would describe as a religious organization or religious
push in North Carolina, the fringiest of the fringe, deciding
that anything that isn't their woke road is quote Christian nationalism,
(01:04:33):
like that lunatic Tennessee representative boy, this guy over the weekend.
That's right, this guy over the weekend. There's a video.
I would remind you that the individual and we're gonna
we'll play the audio coming up here in the next hour,
just because up against the clock, I can't even remember
what the business is. I think it's an insurance company,
(01:04:56):
might be Liberty Mutual Ross. Are you aware of the
commercials where the whole premise is there's a dude who's
like a consultant or whatever, and he works with people
so they don't turn into their parents. And it's always
that absurd thing where the guys like making conversation with
the valet people about all the cars they drive or
injecting themselves at the home improvement store. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
(01:05:20):
so but it's like, ah, you turn into your parents.
There's nothing more accurate than that, because my entire weekend,
which should just be downtime. Whatever was me actively involved
in watching weirdo hippie college students try to steal, not steal,
try to acquire free lumber. I was so invested in
(01:05:44):
this all weekend. So let me set this up for you. So,
my neighbor Gary got something delivered. I remember there was
like a big flat truck that showed up. There was something,
some mechanical thing. He might have a survival bunker down there.
Speaker 2 (01:05:58):
None of my business.
Speaker 1 (01:06:00):
But he got it delivered on like Wednesday, I think,
and then whatever was packaged and came in like it was.
It was like sheathed in plywood and two by fours.
And so when they delivered it, they dropped it off
the truck right in front of his house, and they
had some guys with like a like a jack, you know,
like a mobile jack, and they did that and they
(01:06:22):
stripped all the stuff off it, took it inside again
some mechanical metal thing, probably a survival bunker. Gary's that
kind of dude. Again, none of my business. But what
unfolded was he then took the construction lumber and had
in front of his house. He put a sign that
says free lumber. Big old side couldn't miss it. And
(01:06:46):
I know he wasn't there because I talked to him
on Thursday when I was taking trash out or something,
and he had indicated he was going to be at
the beach all weekend. So I'm just sitting there doing
my own thing. On Friday, I see, I'm on my
patio and I see people start sniffing around it. And
I see this hippie, dipping, dippy looking dude who's got
(01:07:10):
like he's got this little tiny compact car, and I
a should point out it's a series of two by fours,
but the plywood is slightly larger than a compact truck's bed,
which isn't a problem, right, You get a you get
a couple tie down straps, you can.
Speaker 2 (01:07:26):
Load that in.
Speaker 1 (01:07:27):
They're no problem. So I see hippie, hippie dippy dude
sniff it out, show up on Friday and start eyeballing it.
Clearly he's not getting it into this tiny car. He
doesn't even have a roough rack, And I was like,
is this gonna be one of those situations where he
brings three friends. They got it on top and everyone's
just holding it with their hands and I'm one hundred invested.
(01:07:49):
So then they show up on Saturday. Excuse me, they
show up on Sunday. And now hippie dippy dude somehow
is acquired like a Toyota Tacoma. Uh but ever, no,
not to Tacoma, the smaller one. So he's got one
of those. And now, for no reason, I know, he
has like two hippie chicks wearing like flower skirts, got
(01:08:13):
bells on one of them. So I don't even have
to know they're out there messing with this. So sure
enough they're out there, and I would tell you that
they were there, come and go for like five hours
trying to figure out how to hold this lumber, never
quite able to get in the truck. They got into
a weird disagreement over I think one of them was
(01:08:33):
offended the dude got a truck because trucks are evil
or something. I can only hear it in the periphery.
It got so bad that on Sunday, I am out
on my porch drinking an invisible coffee. I don't drink coffee,
so I looked like I wasn't just watching them, but
I'm clearly just watching them. And then I started sending
(01:08:55):
pictures to Ross as updates. I'm like, get a load
of these people. By the way, most of the lumber
still sits here this morning. I don't know if they
loaded anything on Sunday. I'm dying laughing. I'm on my porch.
They're staring at me, knowing that I'm watching them and
taking photos. And even though it has nothing to do
with me, I don't want the lumber. I'm all in
(01:09:19):
on it, and I'm sorry. That just would have been
me ten years ago. I'd have been very like, I
don't want them to see me. Now I'm like filming
them like a crazy lunatic neighborhood.
Speaker 2 (01:09:30):
Karen Man, You're like Corey Feldman and the Burbs.
Speaker 1 (01:09:33):
Yes, I want to see where this thing's going, because again,
they're like infighting over something. So I don't even know
because I can just kind of hear them.
Speaker 2 (01:09:42):
It's important. They needed to get the lumber for Palestine.
Speaker 1 (01:09:45):
Yeah, for well, so this is the thing. So they
started talking about how they could use it for you know,
you get the lumber and donate it for stuff. And
I'm like, what do you You.
Speaker 2 (01:09:56):
Can't even pick up the lumber and transport it back
a the Gaza. What are you doing?
Speaker 1 (01:10:01):
You can't even stop your two granola chicks from like
sparring with each other over you using a truck, an
evil truck. But what is it you think? You think
that somehow if you get enough like plywood, that it
would be justifiable to what loaded on the what the
Gazza flotilla and take it over so they could make
(01:10:23):
more lean twos that will just be bombed into oblivion
like that carbon footprint wouldn't be far more. Oh, it
was so much entertainment.
Speaker 2 (01:10:32):
I'm not gonna lie. I didn't think Kadza was gonna
make it. But now that they got that particle board,
you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (01:10:37):
Yeah, And so it's all busted up to it's not
even in good shape. It's not even stuff you'd want
to do construction, like it was only fit to surround
whatever this apparatus that Gary ordered was.
Speaker 2 (01:10:48):
We are seriously witnessing the dumbest generation to ever live.
Speaker 1 (01:10:52):
It's amazing entertainment though, But yes, this is what I
worry about, because at no point did they stop the process.
The fact that the carbon footprint of you shipping from
the America's uh part of particle board over to Gaza
is somehow a thing, but also being hamstrung by the
(01:11:12):
fact that one of one of the one of the
the unshaven masses that follows this guy around like he's
some weird uh you know, uh Charlie Manson. I even know,
it's just great. I'll I have a feast on that
for my entertainment. But the fact that I am shameless
enough to stand out there filming like a lunatic. The
(01:11:35):
guy even looked at me at one point, and I
don't know if he was like help, like not with
the lumber, just help. This is the this is the
corner I painted myself into. So I can, you know,
get hooked up with chicks. I gotta pretend to be
this uh, this weird hackey sack enthusiast. Oh it was.
It was Chef's kiss man, so good. And poor Gary.
(01:11:58):
Now he's got three sides of of particle board that
I don't know what he's gonna do with. I mean,
you could have a bonfire, I suppose, but but yeah,
they took all the standard two by fours and they
took one side of it. And I don't know why
they just took one side because they thought they were
equal part sheets. But I know the other three are
sitting out there at o dark thirty this morning. I
(01:12:18):
saw him, don't care, get a film it and then
make radio content out of it for my benefit. Do
appreciate it?
Speaker 2 (01:12:28):
All right?
Speaker 1 (01:12:28):
So there is a Tennessee State rep. His name is
Justin Pearson. He's all about the performance performance stuff. He
was one of the central Tennessee lawmakers from a few
years ago where they just kept disrupting stuff to the
point where they actually one of them got kicked out
of office and then ran for reelection or something. But
(01:12:50):
Pearson was among him. And over in Tennessee, the performance
show now is Tennessee is gonna get rid of the
only blue district they have. And then you up that
with what happened in Virginia where you had this defeat
at the Virginia Supreme Court, and you realize that the
Tennessee thing and probably Florida was mostly born out of
(01:13:11):
Republicans answering for what was going on in Virginia. So
he decides he's going to do this weird like performance
thing where he comes and he interrupts what the Tennessee
legislatures doing and then picks a fight with some Tennessee
State trooper who, by the way, clearly doesn't want to fight.
Clearly is just happy he's not out doing speeding tickets,
(01:13:33):
doing protection detail for legislative bodies, which is pretty common.
You know, that's how we our own governor is, that's
how they handle security at state troopers. Man, but but
he has to have this fight, and so he goes
and obstructs. He doesn't id himself, and he's making things
(01:13:53):
difficult just so the Tennessee State Troopers got to get
within his orbit so he can unlaw you know, launched
this like weird racist tirade. As boy, it's just also weird.
(01:14:20):
The guy's like, man, I'm just doing my job. What
do you want here? So he but he has to
have that. He's got to have that video right of
him fighting the man and look what I did. He
then goes from there and takes his act to a
church where he's like he's filled with the Holy ghost,
right hand shaking in the air, feet up in the air, dancing.
(01:14:41):
It's it again. I saw a lot of people drawing
comparisons to the pastor from the uh uh uh coming
to America, right. It was just this over top thing,
over the top thing, and he is absolutely embracing it
as uh he goes full like uh, you know, speaking
in tongues. It's it's just craziness. Yeah, the absurdity of
(01:15:12):
video cannot be conveyed on that. I means five seconds
away from yeah, yeah, he's dancing around. It's just the
craziest thing. And again, radio doesn't do it justice because
the visual of it will tweet out, so you can
see the video and everyone's just clapping along with a
(01:15:35):
bunch of seals.
Speaker 5 (01:15:35):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:15:36):
So this guy one minute is like attacking a state trooper,
dropping f bombs and looking like a team you Malcolm
X or whatever. And the next thing, he's like, you know,
filled by the spirit of the Holy Ghost. Okay, all right, man, that's.
Speaker 1 (01:15:51):
His Holy ghost. Get you like that right. One minute
you're doing this and then now boom, you're high stepping
there on the stage. Will you wave your hand back
and forth? Hey? And people just eat it up. But
it works, right, that's not new to controversy. It's just
(01:16:13):
so absurd though. All right, eight eighteen CaCO Day Radio program. Uh,
let's grab a quick phone call here, Jamal, what's up.
Speaker 8 (01:16:22):
Hey, Casey?
Speaker 4 (01:16:23):
Man, I saw him doing that stumping on the devil
head crap in church, and I'm like, I can't believe.
That's what I can believe because I know what he
was at Missis, Tennessee. But they going to allow that
type of foolishness because what he did was black folk
we call that stomping on the devil head. Then that
supposed to you know, had the music in the background,
(01:16:44):
and what you're supposed to be doing is stomping on
the devil head. And this man was cussing out state trooper,
jumped in his face, and personally, he should have got
chin chick. This is why I always say this when
they's not able police officers and state troopers as public servants.
That was a title given to them in the nineteen
(01:17:06):
thirties to try for people who wanted anarchy to make
police officers and law enforcements such serviant to their behavior.
Because if that had been nineteen ninety and he did
something like that, he got chin chick, and that's what
he should have got right then, right there, jumping in
that officer face, F you and all this type of
(01:17:30):
stuff to that officer. No, and then he's gonna go
to church and gonna supposed to be something on the
devil head telling those black folks live, Oh, they gonna
keep us from voting just because they wan't allow racial
jurymandering that started in Jim Crow to keep black folks
from voting.
Speaker 1 (01:17:51):
And I would point out that the if they do,
if they are successful, it looks like they were A
seat that is held by a white dude is probably
going to be by a black female Republican and they're
they're super over that.
Speaker 4 (01:18:07):
But see, here's what you don't understand case, because now
it don't matter the color of the politician. It matters
whether or not they are Republican a Democrat, because see,
a white Democrat is more it's more aligned with black
struggle than a black Republican because you are a Republican
(01:18:29):
being you're a black Republican, you ain't you don't supposed
to not know nothing because you are a Republican. And
that's to show you how liberalism has came in a
black community. And I go back to that picture of
Glorious Swan with a black woman standing with her fist up.
Malcolm ex said it best they appear to be friends
(01:18:50):
to the negro because they want power over the white
conservatives talking about white liberals and the black man is
there pawn and black folk have posing themselves right, and
mister Peterson out here doing this jungle dance, doing that
stumping on the doublehead, embarrassed every tradition the black folk
(01:19:11):
has done because he wanted to be the Democrat party
to be in control.
Speaker 1 (01:19:17):
Let me, can I ask you a question, Jamal, because
this is really the important stuff, because I know you're
a connoisseurer of ridiculous T shirts.
Speaker 2 (01:19:24):
You got a few?
Speaker 1 (01:19:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:19:26):
What do they?
Speaker 4 (01:19:27):
We not got my free rock teacher?
Speaker 1 (01:19:30):
Oh yeah, But do you have a Joe Dirt America
shirt like Ross has?
Speaker 4 (01:19:34):
No? I don't, m M.
Speaker 1 (01:19:36):
Apparently you can get him on that weird Chinese site.
So Ross has has spent the entire morning speaking of
nothing but Joe Dirt quotes, because he's got a Joe
Dirt over American flag, like a faded dunhim kind of look,
and just as America with the hook horns or the
devil rock thing and h Now that's he's probably gonna
wear that for two weeks straight. So we go with
(01:19:57):
the shirt. Then, Jamal, being a T shirt guy yourself, you.
Speaker 4 (01:20:01):
Know what and I must say this that though you
gonna adult these food who, let's say this, I still
got my free whiskey tea shirt.
Speaker 1 (01:20:10):
They're very weird clock here, Well look at that, Oh
look at the clock? Or Ross? Did you just stay
we're up against the clock. I think Russ just say
we're up against the flock Jamal. Unfortunately I gotta go man,
So that's a shame. It's a really nice shirt. And
he got his gift on Mother's Day, Mother's Day weekend.
He's not even supposed to be geting gifts now, but
(01:20:33):
there it is, hot off the presses in China, which
I don't know why. There's something deeply ironic about that,
not as ironic as one of the winners in the UK.
Speaker 2 (01:20:48):
Races.
Speaker 1 (01:20:49):
A ton of glass glass ceilings being shattered. Here, so
we get into the very latest MP out of Scotland
and why some people are kind of scratching their head.
We'll do that and much more coming up here on
the Cacoday radio program. Boy, I looked at this man
had some flashbacks. I don't know. Maybe there's more to
(01:21:13):
this story and I'm just not I don't have the
full scope here, but I don't know these parents should
be charged with anything. Parents Entail Taylorsville, Utah, Alissa and
James Mackintosh are facing charges of aggregated child aggregate aggravated
(01:21:34):
excuse me I can say that child abuse andre being
held without bond. What's going on here? Following an investigation
after a neighbor noticed their children. The oldest is eleven,
the other one is ten, I believe noticed the children
(01:21:54):
who were essentially locked out of the house for several
hours after one of them came to the neighbor's door
to request access to the bathroom. When the neighbor asked me, Hey,
what's going on there and explained that the parents had
locked them out to quote teach them a lesson, the
(01:22:15):
neighbor contacted police, please showed up. Child Protective Services showed
up the whole thing. The parents didn't deny it, by
the way. Basically, they said that they'd been having behavioral
issues and they wanted to teach the child a lesson.
After the eleven year old quote threatened to run away
(01:22:35):
because I guess they were denied the building. I guess
they're grounded, essentially threaded to run away, saying that they
didn't need parents at which point Robert the father said, Okay, well,
I'll tell you what. You guys are gonna stay outside.
You're gonna play outside, and you're not coming back in.
That locked the door. And that's when the neighbors sprung
into action as the eleven year old came over and
(01:22:57):
asked us the bathroom. The irony is it sounds like
they had access to a bathroom, but they just weren't
being left let in the house. I gotta tell you,
I'm not gonna lie. And I don't know if it
happened with you, and I don't know justify belief she
did lock it, but that was my mom would lock
us out of the house. It could be snowing. She'd
just be like, you gotta go outside and do something.
(01:23:19):
Touch grass kids, And you did it. And again I
don't know if it was physically locked, but it probably was.
We wouldn't have dare entered that house. And now you
go to jail for that, even without the component of
them running away, and they're like, all right, well, this
is what it's like to be homeless. Do you want
to run away? Rosz? You ever get not locked out
(01:23:41):
of the house by your parents when you were a kid,
or basically told under thread of grounding, you're just gonna
go outside and you're gonna do stuff and you can
come back later.
Speaker 2 (01:23:48):
No, it was sort of on my own. I'm like, hey,
I'm leaving for the day. Yeah, I'll be back later.
Speaker 1 (01:23:54):
There could be bears outside. My mom said, we're going outside.
We're going outside, and you're not gonna be like, hey,
there's bears out here. And she's like, well, you better
think of something, and yeah, here we are. We just
deal with it, man. But yeah, that sounds like something
that would have been super normal when I was a
kid growing up. Just shoving the kids out of you say,
(01:24:16):
it's a summer day. Clearly this happened in the spring.
But she's just like, all right, go entertain yourselves, because
you're just if you're in here, I'm gonna murder all
the kids and then I'll be on the news. You know.
Speaker 2 (01:24:27):
It's laughing because we've been into like, you know, cartoon
mode because of Loten. Like I'm watching like the you know,
the Little Kid cartoons again and haven't done that since
you know, Lincoln was little. Right, We've been watching a
lot of blue and I'm a big fan of Blue.
I think Blue is the best kids show to come
out in decades. It's a phenomenal show. It's a reason
it just not repetitive and annoying. It's so good and
it's so funny for both kids and adults. It's so good.
(01:24:50):
So there's an episode where he's telling the kids a
story and he's teaching them a lesson about being nice
to your siblings or whatever. Yeah, and he starts it
off and he's telling them about the story, and while
he's telling it, you know, you can see the animated
you know, the memory of him and he's riding his
bike and the kids are like, whoa, dad, how come
you're not wearing a helmet and he goes, it was
(01:25:11):
the eighties. We didn't wear helmets. Things were different, right,
And the kids are like, oh my wow. And then
he's like he was mean to his brother and his
mom is mean it starts yelling at him and they're like, wow,
Nana was really mean back then. He's like, it was
the eighties. It was different. And that's the entire episode
and it's so true.
Speaker 1 (01:25:26):
Yes, one hundred percent. If I had to call the
police on my mother or well to do or some
neighbor thinks are doing good but can't stay out of
people's business. And I had to explain to the officers.
She said, well, what did she do? She said, we
had to go play outside today, and she locked the
door and told us not to come back till the
(01:25:46):
street lights were on, and I called the police. The police,
I'm pretty sure the police officerer would have explained over
the phone that I could go to jail for doing this.
Like back in the day, like you'd be afraid of
your mind, like you're out playing in the yard, you're
doing something you're not supposed to do. And back then,
this is before we had a single family home. We
had the flat you know, like, and we lived upstairs.
(01:26:08):
So my mom would keep the.
Speaker 2 (01:26:10):
The window open with the clothes line out there, and
if she saw we weren't doing something we weren't supposed
to do, she would scream and yell at us, right,
and we would if just the sound of your mother's voice,
you would immediately stop whatever you're doing, because you knew
that if you did not, there would be repercussions. Yeah,
real consequences.
Speaker 1 (01:26:28):
Right, and then the police showed up and arrested your mom.
Speaker 2 (01:26:30):
Right, No, it's okay. So these days if you if
you were to do that, well, my mom did back
in the day and there was nothing wrong with what
she did. The cops would show up these days.
Speaker 1 (01:26:36):
Yeah, like thro and GAO would no bail. Yeah, I
don't know what's going on here. Again, maybe there's more
to this story, but that's that's the that's what I
have in the news here and again you threatening to
run away. That's one of those self fulfilling prophecies. Man.
Way back in the day, my parents would starve you.
(01:26:57):
Oh you're yeah, you're you're an adult now. Huh, well,
I guess you don't need any of the food I'm
providing for you the shelter, just to get you to say, uncle,
do you understand? Understood the pecking order there? They were
not going to put up with any of that crap.
But now it's a brave new world. How brave and
how new is the world. Well, if you're in Scotland
(01:27:19):
on a student visa and you decide you want to
be a parliamentarian within the Scottish Parliament, apparently you can
go ahead and do that, and you're gonna shatter all
the glass ceilings. That's what happened over the weekend over
in Scotland. Here we go with this insanity. By the way,
(01:27:39):
this guy's what is this guy's name? Hang on, well, anyway,
here's the video.
Speaker 9 (01:27:43):
First, my name is doctor A Kum. I am a
trons tend Well.
Speaker 1 (01:27:46):
I'm sorry, what are your Q Minivan? Is that what
he said? I said minivan? Right, that's how it looks
to be spelled.
Speaker 9 (01:27:54):
My name is doctor A Kum. I am a tronsm
immigrant form. My pronouns are they them?
Speaker 3 (01:28:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (01:28:05):
I am to some in this country everything that the
hateful despise, and I'm standing here as your MSP now
with care. They say, they say politics is the art
of the possible. Politics of care, I'd say expands what's
possible for everyone left behind, pushed out or never invited.
(01:28:26):
In a scholar, I lovecal Cidea Hartman wrote that the
holes that bind us are also the bonds that free
every barrier placed before me with the Greens was the
reason also that we pushed further. And this is what
diversity looks like in power.
Speaker 1 (01:28:41):
Yeah, okay, yeah, everybody cheer again. So again, Q Mini
Vanon or whatever his name is, who arived in the UK.
A few years ago. Is not a permanent resident. But
because the way laws work in Scotland, you don't even
have to be laid legally in the country. Now technically
is legal in the country in the sense that he
does have a student visa of some sort. But yeah,
(01:29:06):
you could apparently get elected to parliament. And the question
is now he's got a what five year term? How
long is this term? He's five years? Yeah, five years.
He's not a three year student visa left, right, because
it's just for the term of it. And by the way,
being a parliament being in the Parliament in Scotland is
one hundred thousand quid or whatever they would say. It's
(01:29:29):
a no joke salary. So how that comports. They're going
to have to extend his temporary visa because again it's
legal over there in Scotland. But yeah, that was now
in addition to the Restore Britain people basically sweeping things,
which is another part and we're going to see how
that plays out. That happened. Now you have mister Minivan
(01:29:52):
here is came as a student, doesn't live here, doesn't
even have status to work, He can't legally work. That's
the other crazy thing. His student visa is not allowed
to work. Is now going to be a member of Congress,
so to speak up in Scotland.
Speaker 2 (01:30:07):
Strange days.
Speaker 1 (01:30:08):
Man, all right eight forty four rased agent. He's putting
in the work. What you gotta do?
Speaker 10 (01:30:14):
Yeah, tough on today, tray news man.
Speaker 5 (01:30:18):
Yeah, definitely gonna. I paid mine. It'll this one day man,
all day at a time.
Speaker 1 (01:30:23):
Right, lottery ticket, just gotta pay. You gotta be in it.
Speaker 5 (01:30:27):
Yeah, you gotta be in it to win it. Yeah,
tough one today.
Speaker 10 (01:30:30):
A better chance of rain north than northwest, although we
are starting to see a few sprinkles to the north
of the Triangle up near Rocksboro and Temper Lake into
Person County and back around the Triads some scattered showers.
It's actually some heavier showers that are showers over the
border in Virginia and to the west out through Wilkes
Cadwell Counties. That's where the steadiest rain is this morning.
(01:30:50):
So raining pretty good there, and a better chance of
rain for the Triad that we will have at the
Triangle as we go through this morning and into the afternoon.
But still a few showers for the triangle. Butt rain
will even be west and north even of thereas like Dakinville, Winston, Salem, Greensboro.
So just plan on some wet weather. If you don't
get it, you'll be lucky. At least in this case,
(01:31:11):
you'll be further east and south near seventy today. Then
it's a lot easier tonight, just cloudy, upper forties, and
much better tomorrow, partly Sunday to becoming mostly sunny a
little bit seventies, with another chance of showers and other
showers on Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night, actually the nighttime
hours a little bit better. And then back behind that front,
we'll see a chance of showers early Thursday, than sunshine
(01:31:31):
in the seventies, mid upper seventies for Thursday, and sunny
Friday in the mid upper seventies again, and then we'll
get warmer toward the weekend, especially Sunday could see some
numbers close to nineties. So casey heading out today, it's
kind of tough. You only got to listen to the details.
With a better chance the further west and north ego
of rain. But I think we get a few showers
in and around the triangle, But then you get out
(01:31:53):
of the triad, there could be some spots that see
some steadier rain, especially in some of the western counties
right around I seven twenty seven and points west and
north northeast of that. So traveling little tricky, varying conditions
as you go west to east and north to south.
Speaker 1 (01:32:09):
PG Championship this week. I know you're pumped, right, but
yeah pumped? Where are we?
Speaker 5 (01:32:13):
See how pumped I am?
Speaker 1 (01:32:15):
So you keep us up to date. We are in Pennsylvania.
Speaker 10 (01:32:19):
Oh, Pennsylvania. Yeah, keep an eye on that. Yeah, well
take out look there, look at that.
Speaker 5 (01:32:24):
Tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (01:32:25):
Bill's not in it. Some personal thing, very upset.
Speaker 5 (01:32:28):
Oh goodness, all right, I have that.
Speaker 2 (01:32:30):
We'll dig in, We'll dig in deeper. All right, thank you?
Speaker 1 (01:32:32):
Staging care for the weather, Channel eight forty six, singing
on Dad again. It's like every day I mentioned this,
I mentioned this yesterday or excuse me, last week on
the radio. Every day I'm a greeted with some new
story of some horned up teacher or in this case
as school counselor who just can't not sleep with the students. Ross.
(01:32:54):
Is your talkback button stuck? Oh jeez, I'm sorry. Okay,
that's why I was here. Your talkback stuck. So I
was thinking I was wondering if we had a problem there.
All right, let me do this. Let's get Erica Herskowitz
from Bloomberg News. Sorry, Erica, I think we're having some
sort of issue because I was here in the background there.
So that's all right. But that's how radio. It's gross. Yeah,
(01:33:15):
doing the old radio thing where I stall for time
while frantically looking at things. So anyway, what's going on?
Speaker 12 (01:33:21):
What a pro what a pro casey? Well, well, most
airlines are cutting flights. Frontier is adding more seats around
the country, the carriers taking the market share left on
the table after Spirit went out of business. According to Syrium,
Frontier has added three million seats in the last week
to its schedule. Between June and September, Google parent Alphabet
map maybe on the verge of overtaking Nvidia as the
(01:33:41):
world's most valuable company. The gap between the two has
narrowed considerably over the past six months, with just four
hundred billion dollars in market value between them. Alphabet has
taken the lead in nearly every aspect of artificial intelligence technology.
Alphabet chairs were up thirty four percent in April alone,
It's best month since two thousand and four. Despite a
number of massive job cuts at giant corporations, there is
(01:34:03):
a growing demand for recruiters in the US. Job listings
for headhunters on the rise, companies looking for workers who
are well versed in artificial intelligence but beyond tech. The
healthcare industry's continuing need for workers has boosted jobs for recruiters,
and Maderna says it's researching vaccines to protect against the hantavirus.
Maderna has done early stage vaccine studies with the US
(01:34:25):
Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Disease, and while Maderna
is best known for its COVID vas, it also researches
vaccines for other potential pandemics. And this began before the
recent cruise ship outbreak and finally casey summer driving season
right around the corner, and JP Morgan says prices have
a good chance of hitting five dollars a gallon nationwide.
For now, the most impacted product from the Middle East
(01:34:47):
conflict has been jet fuel, giving refiners an incentive to
maximize output. Wh JP Morgan says that refiners are prioritizing
jet fuel at the expense of other products like gasoline
and diesel gas prices have jumped more than a dollar
fifty s since the start of the war. National League
gas stockpiles are just off their seasonal lows for the
past decade.
Speaker 1 (01:35:06):
Let me ask you a question, though, Is it Hanta
or Hanta virus? We're all talking about this.
Speaker 2 (01:35:11):
I don't know.
Speaker 12 (01:35:11):
I mean everything to me is an ant because I'm
from New Jersey, so Hanta. But it's probably it's probably Hanta.
I probably slipped in that.
Speaker 1 (01:35:18):
No, I don't know what's right. You could, you can
tell me it's something entirely different. I don't. Let's just
say okay, no, no, you're fine, by the way, I
am right. I don't know what it is. It used
to be occasionally be like a male teacher to hook
up with somebody. I feel like every single day there's
some female teacher hooking up with the students.
Speaker 12 (01:35:37):
It makes me it's so weird.
Speaker 1 (01:35:40):
It's such a weird.
Speaker 12 (01:35:41):
It's so weird. It doesn't make any sense.
Speaker 2 (01:35:43):
Just so weird.
Speaker 1 (01:35:44):
We're a child over there and they're filming and stuff.
Just strangeness. All right, thank you, appreciate it, Thank you.
There you go, Erica Hurst quiz Now I'm straight up.
Ross was throwing it for a loop because I could
hear what sounded like ambient noise back there, and I'm like,
are we having a problem. So I was.
Speaker 2 (01:36:00):
Yeah, no, no, no, it's and.
Speaker 1 (01:36:02):
I realized you just had her cue up. It just
threw me for a loop. So anyway, Yeah, so I
don't know whether it's Hanta or haunted. But now they're
blaming it on a birdwatcher and the Jews, so things
are things are or No, he was a birdwatcher who
wanted to go to like dumps and watch birds. But
he's on a he's on a cruise to Antarctica and
and Argentina. Am I following this correctly? Who they think
(01:36:24):
might be? Yeah, I know you're.
Speaker 2 (01:36:26):
Saying it's like a birdwatcher thing. Apparently they like going
to landfills because birds like going there because like the food,
sure on, So it's like that. So the guy was
on the ship and he's like, you know what, I'm
a crazy bird dude. I'm gonna give it off the ship.
Instead of hanging out on the beach and enjoying my vacation,
I'm going to go to a landfill. Yeah, I'm there.
I'm gonna check out the birds and also this virus.
Speaker 1 (01:36:45):
Yeah, well that's the problem to going to the landfill. Yeah,
orentthologist or whatever. I don't know. I just know they
took like thirty people off the ship and they shipped
twenty three of them back to the US, like Omaha
or something, So good luck Omaha on on that run there.
