Speaker 1 (00:00):
Mayor, do you want to pull back the curtain and
let everyone know what just happened here at the iHeartRadio building?
Speaker 2 (00:10):
This is hilarious, you guys.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
So I didn't have time to put on.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
I use Tiger Balm. I use stuff like Icy Hot.
Speaker 3 (00:18):
I use all kinds of stuff on my sore muscles
just to loosen them up. Yeah. And I Tiger balm,
if you've never used it, is very strong, very pungent,
but it does the job, right?
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Well, I changed my.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
Pants at the last minute at home, so I didn't
have time to do this at home. So I brought
it with me when I got here. Two hours and
25 minutes ago, I rubbed it on both knees and
then went on with my merry life.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
And when I walked in, Meredith laid down the disclaimer. Hey,
if there's an odor in here, it's tiger balm. And
I did notice something, but it wasn't like pitch in
the face.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
It smells like red hots or like it's got like
a cinnamon vibe to it.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
So here we are. Fast forward two hours.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
And somebody from our sister station taps on our door
and comes in and she's like.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
Do you guys smell that today?
Speaker 3 (01:10):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:11):
We are in our little soundproof.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
Booth, right? Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
Do you guys smell it? It's in my eyes. And
I said- She's panicked.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
Yes, it's burning her eyes. She is in another padded
room over.
Speaker 5 (01:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
I am shook right now that they can smell it.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Concrete wall between us. And she was concerned like there
was a chemical leak in the building.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (01:33):
I could see it in her face.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Yeah, she said her- She just walked by.
Speaker 4 (01:36):
Really?
Speaker 3 (01:37):
She said her co-host is coughing. And she has stuff
in her eyes. And I doubled over after she left.
I apologize profusely.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
But I am shocked that.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
Two hours, 15, 20 minutes later, everyone is affected by
this stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
You've done this in the booth before.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
You've... said, oh my gosh, my knee, my back, whatever
it is, and you've applied it. I'm wondering like, is
the AC different this morning? How are they smelling it
next door? Especially enough, she wears glasses too.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
For it to like, fog up her eyes and burn
her eyes i am absolutely shooketh right now i.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Am super surprised too it's she goes oh thank goodness
and she was so relieved because she was ready to.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
Leave she thought there was a chemical in the building
that was killing us all my god i also spray
room spray in here every day because i am i'm
a very smell person like i i want a scent
i want it to smell good And they never complain
about that. So I'm curious, what is it about the
tiger balm that went straight over there?
Speaker 4 (02:42):
Tiger balm is so strong.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
It pierces concrete walls to make your muscles feel better.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
And I, four years we've been in this building almost,
I walked into their studio twice. I don't touch their doorknobs.
I don't go into their room for any reason.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
What is this?
Speaker 4 (02:57):
The only thing I can think of.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Is you went to coffee the coffee station a couple
of times as we were getting ready so maybe a
cloud kind of wafted over and made their way under
their door it's crazy through.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
My jeans that is the other thing about this what
in the world is going.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
On meredith was surprised she was apologizing we were both
shocked so we want to hear from you who's stinking.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
Up your office stinky stories.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
No we want stinky stories what was it that the
whole office said oh my gosh what is going on
888-599-1079 and we love the stories on the iHeartRadio talkback
line if you're streaming us make sure stinky stories ends
up on the air.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
There's a dance called the stanky leg i literally have
stanky legs today.
Speaker 5 (03:49):
David and meredith fa la la la la All right,
now that you've mentioned it, I have noticed my nose
is sensitive to the tiger balm as well.
Speaker 4 (04:01):
What was the cologne on Anchorman that got everybody- Yes, okay.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
It has something to do with tiger blood or.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
Something, right? Tiger something.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Hold on, Anchorman cologne. I got you, bro. But is
it bothering you?
Speaker 1 (04:16):
No, I'm just noticing it now more that our partners
next door- Our co-workers have noticed it.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
The cologne was Sex Panther.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
Oh, Sex Panther. Not Tiger.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Not Tiger.
Speaker 5 (04:29):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Well, because the co-workers next door noticed it in the building.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
She thought we were being, like, fumigated, like, terrorism or something.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
Gassed out at the bowl building. My legs. Check this out.
Please talk back.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
Good morning, David and Meredith.
Speaker 5 (04:49):
This is cue ball Kevin.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
Oh. Oh. Have a good day.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Oh, my gosh. You got that in 30 seconds. And
my heart breaks for you and your coworkers. Sardines and crackers?
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Stank, stank, stonk. Oh, my gosh. Who eats sardines, A? B,
who does that in public?
Speaker 3 (05:24):
And when you're a boss, you don't want to give
any ammo to the people underneath you that he's the
stinky sardine man, says the lady with two stinky legs.
I cannot believe they can smell this tiger bomb hours later,
and it's affecting everyone around us.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
We got, oh, sales will be here soon.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
Yes. We should see if they notice tiger bomb. This
is bonkers. It's great. I'm loving every minute of it.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Earlier this morning, something hilarious happened in the iHeartRadio building.
and it has to do with our sister station next door.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Yeah, we have our own studios.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
It's soundproof, it's got everything. We're like closed in this
little box. I get here to work early. I'm usually first.
I didn't have time to rub some like, it's Tiger Balm, right?
It's like some serious stuff for muscle pain relief.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
Back in my day, it was Bengay.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Yes, well, this stuff is Bengay on steroids.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
So I rub it on both of my knees, And
then I proceed to go on with my merry way.
Speaker 4 (06:24):
And I think it's a better scent than Bengay. Yes.
It has like a cinnamon vibe.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
That's right.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
So David comes in and I'm like, hey, if you
smell something a little weird, I just put on some
Tiger Balm.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
No big deal.
Speaker 3 (06:35):
Two hours later, we get a knock on the door
from one of our friends next door.
Speaker 4 (06:39):
Two hours.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Two hours. And she's like.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
Hey guys, do you smell something weird? There's stuff in
my eyes. It's like a chemical is coming into the building.
It's like she was paranoid and scared of this building.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
Super concerned.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
I was like, is that my, you smell my knees?
So I rolled up my leg, made her smell my knee.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
She's like, that's it. That's it.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
So I am now stanky leg around here, which reminds
me there's a song from like the early 2000s.
Speaker 4 (07:04):
Meredith is?
Speaker 2 (07:06):
When I get to work.
Speaker 4 (07:14):
We did the stanky leg.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
So now I'm the stanky leg at work. I just
don't understand. How it got, she wears glasses too. How
did it get so fumy? I only put it on
two knees. It's not like I bathed in the stuff.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
And the thing about it is Meredith, out of all
my friends, is the most hypersensitive to smell.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
So the fact that this is like the perfect storm
and tiger.
Speaker 4 (07:39):
Balm is great. You can't write it.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
No.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
So we asked for your stinky stories, especially work stories.
And I have Lego lady on the text line says, unfortunately,
the stinkerator was me. I was working at a vet
clinic and I had taken in a stray cat that
needed neutering.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
He stunk up the whole clinic.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
We had to put him in the isolation room with
his own ventilation and we could still all smell him.
It took almost three months after having him neutered for
the smell to go away.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
Because he had so much testosterone.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
Oh, my gosh.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
Can you imagine a stanky cat smell?
Speaker 4 (08:14):
I did the stanky cat.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Do the stanky leg. Trying to be a good person,
do the stanky leg.
Speaker 4 (08:21):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
Cat odors can be intense.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
And Mark, no nuts and chocolate on the text line says, hey,
I'm 6'3. I'm a bachelor and I go to Publix
every day. The same sweet old lady also is there
and she'll often ask me to get something off the
upper shelves, which I'll gladly do because I'll be old someday.
His is a PSA to ladies. Dear ladies, patchouli will
(08:45):
not replace the shower ever. It is very overwhelming, but
I soldier through it because I have a heart.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
So there's our other PSA.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
Patchouli.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
No patchouli, no tiger balm.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
And I would argue no heating up fish for your
lunch at work.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
We used to have a lady at the old building.
Speaker 4 (09:02):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
And she would always heat up fish.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
No less than three sardine calls and talkbacks today, too.
We'll get to more of them coming up. You know
how we got to play out this break.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
We got to do the stanky leg.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
Let's do it. WSRZ Coral Cove. And iHeart Radio Station.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
Graduation season there are colleges and high schools and elementary
everybody's having their graduation celebrations but one specific story with
video from usf um that's university of south florida and
tampa happened and it went viral last week uh an
emotional moment took place during their commencement ceremony when shea
(09:49):
burress who is in a wheelchair um she was going
to walk across the stage.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Oh, boy.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
So she has a medical condition.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
That flared up during her senior year, making her wheelchair bound.
So when she hit the stage and they started to
say her name, a fellow graduate handed over a walker
and she started to stand and And was bound and
determined to walk across the stage.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
Listen to this. She's taking the handles. She's struggling to
get up. She's up. And she starts walking.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
Across the stage.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
And it sounds like she had support of the crowd
the entire time.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
They cheer her all the way over to hugging the president.
Speaker 4 (10:42):
Still going. Hold on.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
Incredible.
Speaker 4 (10:46):
What support.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
It was absolutely emotional. Not a dry eye in the house.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
And the president, Moez Limayem, greeted Burress on stage with
a hug, posed for photos, and then described her as
a very motivated student. And they all celebrated such a
touching moment.
Speaker 4 (11:04):
Oh, my gosh. I can only imagine being there.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Chills.
Speaker 4 (11:08):
I mean, I got chills just listening to the crowd.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
And, you know, you hear people say, oh, are you
going to walk? Are you going to walk across the stage?
Not really thinking. Walking is a privilege. Not only, you know,
not everybody can physically walk.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
So for her to.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
Say, you're not taking this moment away from me. She
pushed through and did it. It was just awesome. Awesome.
Speaker 4 (11:26):
And taking a big chance on stage. Yes. Good for her.
Powering through. And man, what a great story.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Pretty incredible. And that is your motivating good news, baby.
Speaker 4 (11:38):
Hi, this is Dean with Good News Pest Solutions. Exterminate
that bad mood with some good news, baby. Every day
with Meredith Michaels on 107.9 WSRZ.
