Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning. Thank you very much for being here with
us on a rainy Thursday. I am Scott Forhees. I
get a chance to hang out here with Lucy Chapman,
Craig Evans, and Jim Rose here on Nebraska's morning news
news radio eleven ten KFAB. I tell you what, nothing
has ever gone better than this Iran war. According to
(00:20):
the President last night, heard right here on news radio
eleven ten kfab, had.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Some weapons that nobody believed they had. We just learned
that we took them out. We took them all out
so that no one would really dare stop them. And
they're raced for a nuclear bomb, a nuclear weapon, a
nuclear weapon like nobody's ever seen before. They were right
at the doorstairs.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
I this morning, My wife is right. This morning, I'm
getting to kick out of the President and his phrasing
of things. Last night, when I was tired and having
to I had to work a little bit to get
the president on the realium. And so I'm the president
starts off. And and for those who follow all of this,
(01:06):
this is there was nothing new said last night. There
were no epiphanies, no news was really broken. And from
those who follow what the President says several times a
day about this war in Iran, And so I might
have griped a little bit as the President started going
in and this is amazing. No one's ever seen anything
(01:27):
like it before. No one's ever seen anything before until
President Trump does it, and they say, mister President, we've
never seen anything like it. And I might have griped
a little bit and said, you know, this could have
been an email. And my wife said, would you feel
differently if it was in the morning and you weren't
tired and crabby? And I said yes, she made me
some hot cocoa and she said it's okay, honey, she
(01:50):
gets me. So yeah, you're right in the uh what
is yet to be the light of day? Get a
kick out of him. Still, the speech last night, again
for those who are paying attention, wasn't anything new, But
what percentage of the American people are paying rapt attention
all the time to all this? Did you hear the timeline?
(02:13):
Last night? The President said, World War One took this
many years, World War II took this many years, Vietnams
this many years. The War on Terror is this many year.
We've been thirty two days, been thirty two days here
in Iran, and we're going to be wrapping it up
here in the next two or three weeks. Two weeks
to flatten Iran. Where have I heard phrasing like this
before from the President of the United States? Two weeks
(02:36):
to flatten Iran. That's where we are right now with
the skirmish, the strikes in Iran. He's right, though. He
laid out very very succinct well as succinctly as President
Trump can. He laid out, here are all the things
(02:59):
that this nation has done in the Middle East with
these all these terrorist groups, a lot of it with
American money. That President, as Trump said, Barack Hussein Obama
gave him over a billion dollars, and they did this,
and they did this, and they attacked or they led
they funded the attack against Israel, and they were trying
(03:23):
to get nuclear weapons. The terms of the agreement that
President Obama gave Iran was we'll give you a bunch
of money. Tell us you're not enriching uranium. We're not, okay, great,
and how are we gonna figure that out? We're going
to send you soil samples. We're just gonna send We're
(03:45):
gonna mail them in and then a United Nations organization
can test the soil samples and going, oh, that we
don't detect any radiation in these soil samples. Now the
soil was either from Tehran or Indianola, Nebraska, wherever we
get the soil from. But don't worry about that. It's fine.
(04:05):
We're just going to do this under mountains where people
can't see what we're doing and they can't attack us.
Until President Trump showed up and said, yeah, we can
get in there, and this is what Iran has been doing.
Everyone thought they needed to be stopped. President Trump said,
I stopped them. Now what's next. That's what the President
said last night. I thought it was good that all
(04:27):
the networks picked it up. I flipped around of the
TV channels last night, going all right, if this is
such a big deal, is everyone covering this?
Speaker 3 (04:33):
And they all were.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
So do you think the American people paid attention? And
if so, what did they hear?
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Well?
Speaker 3 (04:38):
They had to.
Speaker 4 (04:39):
When the President says I need a primetime slot, it's
just understood that the networks give it to them. So
they had to, even though I'm sure they held their
nose and said, okay, here we go again. You know,
he's just going to Blovie eight for thirty minutes. It
was good because the country needs to hear from the
president when it comes to bombing the other countries. When
we're going to after other people, they need to sit
(05:01):
down in the Oval Office, although this was not in
the Oval Office, and they need to say here's why
we're doing it, and that goes all the way back
to FDR. So that was very healthy. I thought he
didn't say anything of real substance. He didn't say anything
that hasn't been reported by Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, CNN,
and everybody else. Clay and Buck, nothing there of any revelation.
(05:22):
But he does paint himself into a corner sometimes when
he says this is going to be over very very soon. Okay,
be careful about that. For a few weeks. Yeah, he's
been saying very very soon for a long time, and uh,
people are going to get tired of that now. He
did give a little bit of a slap to our
friends over in Europe when he made it clear if
(05:43):
you want the oil, go get it, because we don't
need it.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Yeah, we make our own oil, We make our own guests, be.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
Happy to sell it to you. No one's ever seen
very inflated price. No one's ever seen that much. Guess
we're gonna make a lot of money on his oil
selling to France and everybody else. So he pretty much said, here,
you're on your own. You guys want to oil out
of the Persian Gulf, you go get it. So you
help us out by ushering these tankers through the straits
of Horrormus. And I don't know if it's going to happen.
(06:12):
You would hope that Great Britain and some of our
better friends would start rallying the NATO troops to get
behind this. Out of one fear, and that is, we
don't know what this president's going to do, and he's
going to be in office another couple of plus years.
He could make our lives really miserable for the next
couple of years. And if for some reason JD. Vance
(06:34):
or Marco Rubio gets elected in twenty twenty eight, they
could continue the policy. I really, for the life of me,
do not understand Scott, and I'm not as.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
Up on global jeal, political.
Speaker 4 (06:44):
Political, military strategies as others, But why these NATO allies
don't line up behind the United States when they do
things like this. This is not just some sort of Okay,
we're not happy with that guy, let's go get rid
of him to try and save the world from a
nuclear blast.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
Just over an hour ago here on eleven to ten
kfab during the Fox News rundown, I believe it was
Fox News Radio reporter Jared Halpern, frequent guest on this program,
who made the point when asked the question what do
our allies with NATO, especially in Europe think about us?
And Jared said, well, I think that they see the
United States as not exactly as consistent, that perhaps it's
(07:27):
a bit more up in the air what the president
might do. And I don't think the President of the
United States has a problem with that. That has been
the Trump doctrine, and that is we'll do anything at
any time, and we're not going to tell you what
we will or won't do, and we're not going to
give everyone a heads up before we do it. We're
just going to do what needs to be done. And
(07:48):
then you've got to get on board now these allies
of ours.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
And if you're smart, you'll follow along.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
These allies of ours like France, like Spain, Italy have
said you don't. You can't fly your planes over our airspace.
So hey, thanks, thanks guys, Let's let's narrow those lanes
for where our warplanes might go. Is to put our
fighter pilots in jeopardy. Thanks Allies of Europe.
Speaker 4 (08:14):
It's astounding to me. Now they know, they know the rules.
They know that Trump can't pull us out of NATO alone.
He can't just wake up one morning and said we're done.
Speaker 5 (08:22):
Now.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
He can cancel the around Nuclear Deal, he can get
us out of the Paris climbing the cords, but he
can't pull us out of NATO without congressional action because
that was a treaty that was ratified by the United
States Senate.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
What's France gonna do? We fly our planes right over Paris, France.
I say it anyway, shoot us down, I think, shoot
us down.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
Trump.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
I'm saying, you know what, I don't care what the
road map says. We're going here. Yeah, yeah, we we
got a little lost. We flew right down the champ
as a fifteen flights through the Arc de Triolf of
the eleven kfab certified transmission sports brief here Jim row
Rights got good morning, everybody. We're coming up on Final
(09:02):
four weekend, both in Indianapolis and Las Vegas. The Crown Invitational,
a big pay play for pay deal for teams not
invited to the n T or the NCAA Tournament, begins
creating Blue Jays, despite a losing record, are in it,
playing fourteen and nineteen Rutgers in the nine thirty game tonight.
This is it for Greg McDermott, legendary Jays coaches, retiring
(09:24):
after this tournament won't be easy to walk away. He
loved the job. What's it going to miss the most.
Speaker 6 (09:29):
Practice floor, in the daily interaction with the players and
with our staff. You know, I've been part of a team,
really since i was fourteen years old, and this will
be the first time that I'm not part of a
some sort of basketball team, and I'm going to miss
that part. Whether it's laughing and joking and making fun
of each other when our staff goes to launch, or
(09:50):
you know, being in that war room trying to put
together preparation for a game. Those are things that I
love to do, and I'm certainly gonna miss him.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
Sixteen seasons, conference titles, Elite eight appearances, that's tough to top.
He's got all his players for this one, except Austin Schwartz.
He stayed home with a bad ankle. This is a
money deal. Five hundred thousand dollars player pool. If you
win it, you split three hundred thousand if you finish second,
one hundred thousand. Semifinalists get fifty k each. Win this,
(10:19):
and each of the fifteen guys gets a check for
twenty bones. That buys a lot of entertainment in Vegas,
Michigan had a hiccup on its trip to their final four.
Their best player, Elliott Caddot, suffered an allergic reaction to something.
Had to be hauled off the team bus on a gurney,
took him to a hospital. He's okay, and then the
Wolverines were on their way. More college basketball, Bill self,
(10:42):
at sixty three, with the richest contract in the sport,
Returns thought about retiring, released a statement declaring he is
back next season. Doing eleven million a year, two national titles,
four final fours. Pretty good. This past season. Two guys,
one for Alabama and one for Baylor, who played in
the NBA then tried to come back to college. The
(11:03):
money is just too good. Have prompted reforms in the
eligibility rules. The NCAA Rules Committee is meeting. They will
have a new policy starting next season. Anybody who enters
the draft and stays in it or suits up for
a pro game cannot come back to college sports baseball games.
The Royals, unloaded on twins pitching, won the game thirteen
(11:23):
to nine. Jonathan India hit one two India in the
bottom of the sixth.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Here's the pitch. India rocketson high in the air, deep
to left field.
Speaker 7 (11:33):
Martin's back.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
He looks up.
Speaker 8 (11:35):
It's good.
Speaker 1 (11:36):
The sonic boom trump shinav in India.
Speaker 4 (11:40):
The Grand swam at Kaufman Stadium in the bottom of
the sixth inta Dad broke it open in a finish
two for five with five driven in on the scoreboard.
American League Baltimore eight to three over Texas Astros six'
four over The Boston Red. Sox The yankees beat The
mariners five to. Three National league The pirates fills cards
and podre good. Wins Aerleague player braves, Five a's, One rockies,
(12:03):
Two toronto, One miami, ten The White sox, Nothing milwaukee,
Eight Tampa bay. Two cubbs beat The Angels arizona Over
detroit and The guardians Defeated Los angeles four to, One
omaha three nothing Over. Buffalo The stormchasers get off the
schneid first win of the. Year Tiger woods is not
only leaving golf for, rehab he's leaving the. Country but
since he's in legal, trouble he needed a judge's okay
(12:26):
to get.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
That so he is off to.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
Somewhere picked up last week driving a while under the
influence of very thick. Painkillers the guy has had seven
back surgeries and twenty surgeries.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
To save his right. Leg he's a walking.
Speaker 4 (12:39):
Pharmacy well we would be two with that health history
sports his news On Nebraska's News weather in traffic.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
Station apparently the legislature, says, well we fixed the budget.
Deficit how'd you do? That we used one hundred and
fifty plus million dollars from the rainy day. Fund so
that's LIKE i go to my wife and, SAY i
can't pay the mortgage this. Month why? Not why don't
have the? Money what about that pile of money over,
(13:05):
there that money that's in case of an. Emergency didn't
you say we can't pay the? Mortgage that's? Right shouldn't
we take the money that our money over here that's
supposed to pay for. Stuff can we use that to
pay for? Stuff, WELL i, Guess and that's what the unicameral.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
Did pretty.
Speaker 4 (13:22):
Much they didn't take all of the savings account because
the law requires we have ten percent of the budget
in savings every, year so there's still plenty in.
Speaker 3 (13:30):
There but, yeah they did use some of. That they
use some of the tobacco.
Speaker 4 (13:33):
Fund they clawed back a lot of money that these
agencies had been squirreling away for. Years if an agency
a here gets one hundred thousand last, year but they
only spend seventy, five they got to keep the twenty. Five,
Well Coach pillen clawed back the twenty five and he
did that to the tune of tens of millions of
dollars hundreds of millions of dollars from The nebraska coffers
(13:56):
of these. Agencies and that's generated a little bit of
controversy because that affects. Services for, example The secretary Of state's.
Office The secretary Of state administers, elections among other. Things
when you have to give back your budget or give
back your, reserve that puts a little strain on the,
operation which, means, well we are now at zero in
(14:19):
our checking account until we get the next. Paycheck so
that's some of what. Happened there will also be some tax.
INCREASES i know this is sort of flown under the,
radar but our good Friend brad Von gillern Of, elcorn
who claims to be a, conservative if fiscal, conservative he largely.
Is he's chair of The Revenue, committee set a ten
percent excise tax on creton products in addition to all other.
(14:41):
Taxes he removed a personal property tax exemption for data
centers all, right hold on, here reinstated sales taxes for nonprofit.
Organizations so like when your little fundraiser at wherever you
do sells auction, items you now have to pay sales
tax on that AGAIN.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
Backfa so that's.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Kratum this, is you, know some sort of, protein and
some people think it's, great some people think it should be.
ILLEGAL i don't want people to, think, like wait a,
second you just tax. Kraton, yeah, no. Kratone it's a
it's a crate tone kind of a thing. Here but
the rest of these ARE i, thought these are things
that you've been saying for years we ought to, do
and that is all these these businesses and certain things
(15:20):
that get these tax exemptions should not be exempt from paying.
Taxes do you have a, Problem.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
No not at.
Speaker 4 (15:26):
ALL i just like it to be in the light of.
Day and we should have an across the. Board you,
know implementation of sales taxes for all. Items and you,
know for, example, food you go to the grocery store
and you spend one hundred, dollars there is no tax
on that In nebraska if it's. Food, yeah, yeah thirty seven.
Percent thirty seven other states charge sales tax on.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
Food we.
Speaker 4 (15:47):
Don't now you tell me, This. Scott now you're a fiscal.
Conservative i've watched your behavior other than. Golf, yeah let's
say we implement a five percent tax on grocery. Food
that means for one hundred dollars you pay another five.
Dollars is that going to keep you from spending the
one hundred? Dollars, NO i need to. Eat but right but,
(16:08):
Now but people would.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Say my fiscal conservative nature will come back and, say,
now wait a, second are things so dire that you
need more money from? Me because you guys can't get
your spending under? Control BECAUSE i don't see serious people
at this unicameral interested in curtailing, spending they're still giving
handouts to families who are, like, WELL i need to
pay for. Daycare i'm. Poor how poor are? You, Well
(16:31):
i'm at one hundred and eighty five percent of the poverty.
Line well that doesn't sound like you're.
Speaker 4 (16:35):
Poor it sounds like you're doing, no almost twice as
good as poor. People not, necessarily there is an argument
for what qualifies as poor if you are at what
percentage of the poverty? Line spending comes from multiple. Levels
you just said control spending if you want to know the.
Truth the biggest bills for Most nebraska families are, utilities property,
(16:57):
taxes and. Healthcare, okay the legislature has virtually no impact
on any of those. Things then why would they raise
my taxes on things THAT i need to, do like
feed my family when the things that they do have
control over they won't take any ownership. Of we took
fifty million dollars from the tobacco settlement. Fund how much
(17:18):
is in this tobacco settlement? Fund and what happens to
the fund? Now since no one smokes tobacco, anymore everyone's
all smoking pot and vaping. Stuff you don't see as
many smokers as you used. To, also we dropped some
income tax. Rates the governor was appreciative of, that, said
we're reducing income tax rates to three point ninety nine. Percent,
(17:42):
now some of the more liberal members of the unicamer
Like State Senator George dungan Of, lincoln said that this.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
Is of course a tax cut for the. Wealthy legislatures being.
Shortsighted we got people in the developmental disabilities community affected
by different funds that are being. Rated we're not making
the right decisions as a, State that's what he said
to K E Tv News watch. Seven now we're paying
for childcare for people up to one hundred and eighty
(18:14):
five percent of the poverty. Line there are some different
shell game kind of things that have happened with who's
going to be able to get what when it comes
to families dealing with kids and developmental. DISABILITIES i thought
a lot of that stuff went through the, school which
already is To jim's, point takes up a ton of our. Money,
(18:35):
SO i, mean did the unicamral just slap families in
the face Across nebraska with all this and just just
to take money from us and give it to wealthy.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
People, no that's not what, happened because this was a
graduated reduction in the state's income tax to be frankly
competitive with nearby States iowa And South, dakota which has
no state income, Tax kansas And Missouri wyoming AS i
think a one percent state incup tax if. Anything so
(19:04):
that was about being, competitive and that's also the big
argument that's made with the sales tax exemptions on six
billion dollars of sales in our. State we have to
make sure we're competitive with neighboring states so we don't
lose our industries to, them AND i think there's something to,
that but it's not nearly as dour as some would.
Think we've talked about expanding the sales tax base because
(19:27):
the economy is so different. Now we're much more of
a service economy than a retail driven products society and.
ECONOMY i like the idea of expanding the sales tax,
base starting with this much and gradually taking it up
to whatever the number would. Be it's five and a
half percent for the, state and then local sales taxes
(19:47):
are tacked on when we go buy something here In
omaha Or lincoln Or Grand, island so we have a
revenue issue In, nebraska not that we don't have, enough
but the way it's gathered and how it's spent to,
me to, Me and we've talked about this a, Lot,
scott and we're going to keep talking about it because
that's our job until these forty nine Decide i'm going
(20:10):
to be a statesman and not a. Politico we're not
going to get. Changed and the change comes in this.
Form you roll back valuations fifteen, percent and you say
it doesn't go up but one percent a, year and
you will cap levies on local taxing authorities except for
a sixty percent vote of the. People you do, that
(20:33):
and we solve the property tax. Problem but you can't
do that unless you have a companion bill that also
broadens the sales tax.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
Base this is not.
Speaker 4 (20:42):
Complicated if two radio guys In omaha can figure this,
out smart people in the unicamer and beyond can do the.
Speaker 1 (20:49):
Same you're the one trying to figure it. Out i'm
just a little disappointed that this session didn't have a
parade of weirdos in, there, yelling, screaming.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
Crying we're talking about we had enough of that last two,
year you. Know but it's more. Entertaining i'll talk about
when they do that could. Be this is what it
boils down.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
To last, Night perhaps you missed, it there was a
kickoff campaign for The Douglas county sheriff competitor in this
race for top lawman in the. County we've Got Mark
martinez out of. Retirement judge, decided, yeah you can run
even though you don't have a valid law enforcement credential right.
(21:25):
Now that's. Fine you can go ahead and run for county.
Sheriff we'll figure it out. Later so he is The
Mark martinez is The democrat here In Douglass county looking
to unsea the occupant of that, position who Is republican
Sheriff Aaron. Hanson among the guests last, night according to
The Nebraska Plains, sentinel we Had Crystal rhodes, there she's
(21:47):
running For. Congress Former State Senator Tony, vargas he ran For.
Congress Ron Hugg Omaha city council. Member just saw him
the other day down at The sons Of. Italy Former
Congressman john Have anah running For, congress And Omaha Mayor
John ewing was. There Mayor ewing, said AND i quote
the article here in The Planes. Sentinel, quote we need
(22:11):
someone who won't come into the city Of omaha like
an occupying. Army we want someone who will be a
partner with The Omaha Police, department and we'll work with
us as we look to keep this city one of
the safest cities In. America. Unquote, NOW i don't know
why he would refer to The Douglas County sheriff's office
(22:34):
as an occupying. ARMY i, mean, Sure President trump just
Sent Sheriff Aaron hanson and his army Into iran to
finish the job in the next two. Weeks but to
call these guys an occupying army seems a little, strange doesn't.
Speaker 4 (22:47):
It this is the kind of thing that makes people
wonder If John ewing has the intellectual capacity to do this.
Job it's a very challenging. Position it's a politically charged,
position and you can't say things like, that this is.
Low mayor is an important, Position county sheriff an. Important
you can't say these things like. That and when the
(23:07):
trust of the, citizenry knowing that your single number one
to end all other priorities is public. Safety if the
mayor and the police chief and the county sheriff and
The Douglas County attorney and the others associated with the
law enforcement in this community lose sight of that goal every,
day the community will suffer. Greatly so when the, mayor
(23:32):
who is the chief executive of the community and the
face of the community says stupid things like, that it
erodes trust and it makes people wonder if we hired
the wrong.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
Guy you know.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
Where this comes. From this was shortly After Mayor ewing
was elected last year and we had that incident in
Northeast omaha where there was a member of The County
sheriff's department who observed a vehicle for which they were
looking and drove by a couple of. Times in the
person in that vehicle saw this person kind of driving,
by taking a look at this car and started shooting
(24:04):
at the, car not knowing if it was a, cop his,
grandma his, Buddy, troy you know, whatever just started shooting
at this. Car so The County SHERIFF'S i don't remember
if it was a deputy or someone gets out, there
takes a strategic position and a guy gets shot in this.
Scene and this happened In omaha And Mary ewing And
(24:27):
Omaha Police Chief Tod smater had to issue a statement, saying,
look we want to make sure That Sheriff hansen isn't
sending you, know his people Into omaha and doing some
of this law enforcement stuff outside the boundaries of what
the police department should be. Doing there was that there
was another incident near about one hundred and eighth And
(24:48):
maple where they were going after a car and that got.
Sideways but The County sheriff's, department they are law enforcement
for the county which includes the city Of.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
Omaha.
Speaker 1 (25:01):
Correct and SO i don't know that there was during
twelve years of The stothard administration a strain between Departments
county sheriff and it Wasn't Aaron hanson the entire time
and The Omaha Police. Department BUT i don't know if
it's a new mayor or if it's these. Incidents there
certainly seems to be a strain. Now and For Mayor
(25:25):
ewing to refer to the county. Sheriff, now we got
people in this town who might be pulled over by
a county. Sheriff they might find themselves in a situation
where here comes The Douglas County sheriff to see what's
going on, here and the mayor Of omaha's referring to
them as an occupying. Army how are these citizens Of
omaha supposed to behave when you've got someone making incendiary
(25:50):
comments like.
Speaker 3 (25:51):
This this is the.
Speaker 4 (25:52):
Point the people Of, omaha the folks who live In Douglas,
county they don't care who keeps them, safe and they
they really don't care what techniques are used to keep them.
Safe they want to be kept. Safe they don't want
to get, shot they don't want to have their home.
Invaded they don't want their teenage girl raped in the
planned six. Dance they don't want any of. That they
(26:14):
want public. Safety this is priority. One it's never not
been priority. One so the, mayor the county, attorney the police,
chief and the sheriff all need to be singing from
the same hymnal and that, is we don't care what
it takes to keep people. Safe you do, it And,
aaron if one of your sheriff's deputies observes something at
(26:35):
one hundred and eighth In maple or, downtown take care
of it and we'll sort out the politics.
Speaker 3 (26:41):
Later how would the mayor.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
Feel if the sheriff just, said, hey, no, sorry we're
outside the boundaries of city. Limits we'll just take care
of all this stuff. Out, Sorry we'll let you guys
HANDLE i see.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
A gang rape going on over, there but see that's
not my.
Speaker 4 (26:55):
Area Rightupy carmine and see if a cop is ready
to come. Over but you, know we're not going to
do anything about that because that, seat that might irritate
The Omaha Police, department or that might irritate the share
of the mayor's.
Speaker 3 (27:11):
Office so we'll just let that go on another ten
or fifteen.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
Minutes here's a little bit of what you heard last
night on this radio station and across the world as
The president was addressing the nation on the strikes Against,
iran victories.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
Like few people have ever seen. Before, Tonight iran's navy is,
gone their air force is in. Ruins their, leaders most of,
them terrorist regime they, led are now.
Speaker 3 (27:41):
Dead no one's ever seen anything like it.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
Before The president at one point last night, said we
didn't go Into iran seeking regime, Change BUT i guess
that's what we got because we blew a pull of their.
Leaders they're all. Dead they're all quite. Dead can't lead
have we? Do we have any kind of whether it's
confirmation or just approval of the idea that The iatola's
(28:08):
son who for a second, there they, said now this
guy's in, charge and we got some emails from this
guy and people, SAID i don't think he's, alive and
if he's, ALIVE i think he's probably clinging to. Life
AND i don't think this is really. Him any idea on.
That no one seen the. Guy this was the New Ayatola.
Kolemane remember we had The Iatola comane was in charge
(28:31):
and then he died and then The Iatola comane was
in charge and we blew him, up and then The
Iatola comane was in. Charge but no one has any
idea where this guy is or if he's even.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
Alive is there.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Another Iatola komene Is SO i think the president probably
has uh would like to thank him for his attention
to this. Matter this Is nebraska's morning news news radio
eleven TEN kfab and it is holy, weak you know
that because the the that weather is just getting that
easter feel leading into a Beautiful sunday. Afternoon The rosie
(29:04):
De jenozi commentaries have been absolutely fantastic this week and
we here on our morning. Program are welcoming.
Speaker 3 (29:12):
Back to the.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
Show the official priest Of Nebraska's Morning news From Saint
robert's here In. Omaha it's, Father Ryan Lewis. Father good, Morning.
Speaker 5 (29:22):
Discavali is good morning to. You Happy Holy.
Speaker 1 (29:25):
Week absolutely love talking with you about our two favorite,
Subjects christ and Corn. Huskers we will do both here
in this. Segment BUT i was kind of curious because
each year we have a chance to talk about religion
at a lot of different points throughout the, year not
just Before. Easter And i'm, wondering here's my question for
(29:47):
you This, easter because they always say That easter services
tend to be more packed with people who only go
to church twice a. Year have you seen an impact
in if if this many more people go to church
once On, easter do you start to see those faces
a few more times in the weeks and months that.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
Follows or are there are?
Speaker 5 (30:11):
There?
Speaker 1 (30:12):
Really is it a large percentage of those people that
just go because my mom wants me to go to
church On easter and Then i'm good Until?
Speaker 3 (30:19):
CHRISTMAS i think.
Speaker 5 (30:22):
Both are, true AND i would say this year in
a particular, way from the very beginning Of lent back
On Ash, wednesday we saw marked increase of folks and
that has been consistent all the way Through. Lent it
will crescendo certainly On Easter. Sunday, yes we'll see some
(30:42):
folks that we only see a couple of pens a.
Year but, yeah there's there's there's great hope that it will,
continue only BECAUSE i think it started earlier this year
and We've Saint, Roberts we've just been having exceptional crowds and,
uh we're gonna The easter vigil this. Year we're going
to bring thirty some New catholics into the. Church, now
(31:06):
those numbers are way, up AND i don't know if
that's a one year aberration or if that's going to
be a new. Norm so there's a lot of reasons for.
HOPE i think people are looking for something and they
want clarity the world that is often, chaotic AND i
(31:27):
Think jesus offers that to folks who are looking and.
Searching Saint augustine's that our hearts are restless until they
rest in The, lord and a lot of people are
out there. Restless don't discount looking and not, finding and
hopefully they do find when they come to.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
Church don't discount the assassination Of Charlie kirk having the
silver lining that a lot of people have paid more
attention to what he, said especially as it relates to,
faith and his widow has said since and been a
bit more acclimated to a church. Environment you've given This
easter service sermon a number of. Times you're not. THAT i,
(32:06):
mean if we needed an old priest and a young,
priest you'd be the young, Priest Father Ryan. Lewis but
what is it On easter sunny doing Reference Austin? Powers
what is it well or the extressist pick your? Poison
what is it about The easter sermon this year that
has you enthused to give this sermon yet?
Speaker 5 (32:22):
Again you, know there's just there's things in the world
that that motivate. ME i, mean and we're at, war for,
example and that has, people you, know, concerned. WORRIED a
(32:43):
recent inspiration for me Was Ben sass and HIS i
listened to one of his podcasts where he's dealing with
extreme terminal illness and the beauty and the faith that
he brings to. That, now that's the message we all
need to. Hear we're all on borrow time to borrow his,
phrase this could well be our last east. Here so
(33:04):
now is the time procrastinating with your eternal? Salvation isn't
a smart thing to? Do and so and then just
that all the sin and all the darkness in the
world is overcome By. Jesus and when he was up
on that, cross seemingly, defeated that is there that he
(33:25):
accomplished the salvation of the, world turning what looks like
a great defeat into the greatest victory of all. Time
and it's an eternal. Victory and it's a victory that
he wants us to share, in to be on that victorious,
team if you. Will and that's the key to living
this life, well but also being with him forever in heavens.
Speaker 4 (33:47):
Well of, Course Ryan, lewis IS i like to describe.
It christmas is when we are, Born easter is when
we are born. Again so let me ask you about
the current state of religion and the discipline of religion
in our country. TODAY i believe the nineteen nineties and two,
thousands when secular progressivism really took, over poisoned a lot
(34:07):
of young people To, god To, christ to a christly.
Existence are you seeing a shift in that NOW i
suspect THAT i sense that there may be a movement
among young people to return to the church and return
to the followings Of. Christ do you sense that or
AM i just imagining?
Speaker 5 (34:26):
It, NO i don't think you're just imagining that at.
ALL i THINK i think always the challenge with passing
along the faith to the next generation is that that next.
Generation at some, point parents can teach the, faith parents
can take children to, Church but at some point does
children become adults and they have to own that faith for.
(34:48):
Themselves they have to interiorize it and make it their.
Own and some do and some. Don't and then the
cacophony of noise in the world makes it very difficult
to hear that, general persistent call Of god that, says
you are made In my image and. Likeness you are
(35:10):
made for more than anything this world can offer, you
and to live your life. Accordingly and, again your heart's
going to be restless until it rests In, me Says.
Jesus BUT i also think that the hostility to all things,
authority which prevailed for a long, time including the authority
(35:33):
of the, CHURCH i think that that has lessened among young.
People they're looking for they're looking for, guidance they're looking
for a plan of life that calls them to the greater,
things to beauty and truth and, goodness and of course
that's that's beautifully consonant with our.
Speaker 4 (35:57):
Faith well wonderfully, said we'll have you back again Because
i've been riding you pretty hard About edward flannagainst, canonization
and it seems that maybe it's finally been heard in The.
Vatican so we'll get an update from you at a
future date to talk about whether the founder Of boystown's
finally going to be made a.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
Saint, hey The huskers won A March madness. Game we
can Get Father flann again across that finish line, too,
Right Father amen.
Speaker 5 (36:23):
Won The spring game.
Speaker 3 (36:24):
Too, yeah that was.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
Big, Yeah christ and Corn. Huskers Father Ryan. LEWIS i
always loved talking with you about anything and. Everything thank
you so much for your time this. Morning god bless,
you and have a Wonderful.
Speaker 5 (36:35):
Easter Happy, easter, Everybody god bless thanks for having.
Speaker 1 (36:39):
Me six years, Ago President trump came out and said
two weeks to flatten the. Curve last, night The president
came out and said two weeks to Flatten iran and
was talking about it with reporters after the news conference last.
Speaker 3 (36:53):
Night WHEN i do get the, permits how long will
the job?
Speaker 7 (36:56):
Take two?
Speaker 3 (36:56):
Weeks two, weeks two, weeks.
Speaker 7 (37:00):
Do you sound like a panicky?
Speaker 5 (37:01):
Thing two, weeks two, Weeks, well two.
Speaker 4 (37:05):
Weeks it's, amazing, amazing, Nothing it'll be a regular.
Speaker 1 (37:10):
Miracle so two weeks to Flatten iran is what The
president is saying. Now and thanks to the money pit
for that movie, clip.
Speaker 3 (37:18):
It ain't gonna be two. Weeks it's going to be.
Speaker 1 (37:20):
Longer to, you he said it might be two or three.
Weeks he gave himself a whiggle room of seven days
and then two.
Speaker 4 (37:25):
Weeks it'll be another two or three. Weeks this is
you don't start something like this and then just get
out by five. Pm, well but he has a bill
he gave Till june. First he gave the set in
the house Till june first to get the Dh jess bill.
Done AND i would think that could be easier than
to end The iran. War BUT i was a little
(37:45):
critical of the president's saying. No for those who've been
following what The president has been saying for the last
four or five weeks on, this he hasn't said anything,
new but there was some nuance in his approach last.
Night one he did this specifically last, night As congress
has been, saying this is a big, deal this is
the most important thing in the president and also people
(38:07):
have been waiting in line at airports across the. Country
we Have homeland security agents not being paid. Well they
are now, well but there's still so much uncertainty about all.
This And congress's been saying this is super. Important this
and what did they just do yesterday before The president
went out ON? Tv they, left they went on, break
(38:27):
like this is the most important thing in the, world
But i'm going On i'm going on. Break and so
The president called them out last night for, that, said
we need to fund beyond your two months that The house.
Did we need to fund what's going on With department
Of Homeland. Security and if this war is so, important
how come you guys aren't hanging, Around and as if
this oil in the straight of horror moves is so
(38:49):
important not important to us here In. America we got
our own, oil we got our own. Gas it's important
to the rest of the. World and why Is america
and why Is? Israel why are weeds the only ones doing.
This you, GUYS i want this, oil you go in.
There we just destroyed their ability to NUKE us Or.
Israel that was our. Objective if you guys want the
oil and you want to protect the straight to horror,
moves you go in there and do. It and that
(39:11):
was the nuance last, night and The president really telegraphing
this message not so much to The american people but the
phonies In congress and our so called allies over In.
Speaker 3 (39:21):
Europe that's exactly. Right, well thank.
Speaker 4 (39:23):
YOU i was hoping we'd hear a little bit more
About iran and its, nukes but that's.
Speaker 1 (39:27):
Okay people have been leaving us messages via The iHeartRadio Talkback.
Mike anywhere you are you're listening To iHeartRadio our free,
app you can tap that microphone button and send us
a message with your own voice based on what you're
hearing this, morning including we Had Mayor ewing last night
and an event For Mark. Martinez he's the guy taking
(39:50):
On Aaron hanson and The Douglas County sheriff's.
Speaker 3 (39:52):
Race ewing, said we.
Speaker 1 (39:53):
Need someone who won't come into the city Of omaha
like an occupying. Army and Realize General Aaron hanson was
riding the tanks here From Douglas county across the city
line Into. Omaha we got this, message, hey.
Speaker 7 (40:09):
Good morning as far as the mayor, goes saying The
sheriff's office is acting like an occupying force or something
to that. Effect you, know a leopard can't change his.
Spots he's a. Lib he's a looney tune. Lib the
longer it, goes the more he will reveeal. Himself you
know where this is, headed Mister. Rose you said it.
Yourself we all know where it's. Headed blue cities go
(40:32):
down toilet because the first thing they do is start
screwing the public. Safety that's how they.
Speaker 3 (40:37):
Operate god.
Speaker 4 (40:38):
Blessed thank you very much for that, Message thanks for
reverberating the. Obvious and then we got this message here
on the report here That Jim rose provided in Sports
brief about some other things the legislature was doing other
than just trying to shore up this.
Speaker 8 (40:57):
Budget good, Morning Happy easter week to you. Guys listening
to the report that our legislature is voting on. Bills
people get into The hall of. Fame to me as
a voter is asniin period we have money, crisis we
have property tax crisis in the, state and our elected
(41:20):
officials are voting on getting a coach into The hall Of.
Fame give me a, break.
Speaker 4 (41:26):
Have a good. Morning, well it didn't take up a
lot of, time and it's part of a bigger bill
that has been wrapped up into. One they do that
when they start running out of. Time this is important
to the governor because the governor has a tremendous amount
of affection For, coach and when you're the, governor you
get a lot of stuff.
Speaker 3 (41:46):
Done talking About coach Tom.
Speaker 4 (41:47):
Osber the first version of this bill was unconstitutional because
we don't allow legislation to affect one. Person the first
version of this bill was, basically this is a bill
to Get Tom osborn into The hall Of, fame so
that would not have past legal.
Speaker 3 (42:00):
Muster they have amended.
Speaker 4 (42:02):
It the new amendment does it one out on a
vote of twenty nine to, one and nobody offered a.
Filibuster some people sat, out but it passed into the next.
Round so they'll HAVE i think the third round of
debate either today or, tomorrow and then it goes to
The governor's desk And tom's eligible to get in next. Year,
now we're supposed to take nominations Because i'm on the.
(42:25):
Commission as everybody, knows we're supposed to take nominations through
the year twenty twenty, seven but they may accelerate this
because coach is eighty.
Speaker 3 (42:33):
Nine now it'll be ninety And.
Speaker 1 (42:35):
February, well we also Had State Senator Megan hunt talking
about something that's a little outside the boundaries of either
her jurisdiction In omaha or the legislature's perfew here In. Nebraska.
Speaker 4 (42:47):
Right she spent a little bit of time talking about
The United States Supreme. Courts it's part of the privilege
of getting your twelve thousand dollars a. Year you get
to stand up in front of all all of the
others live. Microphones it's on the. Record some people pay,
attention probably not a, lot but this is something that's
important To Senator. Hunt AND i think she's term, limited
(43:10):
If i'm not, mistaken this is her last go, around
so she, thought now this is important to. Me birthright
citizenship is important to. Her The president has made it
clear that birthright, citizenship AND i think he's right about
this has been hijacked by foreign. Countries and when The
amendment was, passed which was to protect babies of, slaves
(43:32):
that has invited foreign countries to place people in here
on the verge of a, birth the kid becomes An,
american the kid goes back to the nation of origin
until they're, eighteen and then they come back over. Here
they can vote in, elections they can contribute to political.
Campaigns they get all of the privileges of being An
american citizen without actually being An american. Citizen but regarding
(43:54):
the complaint of the person who left that message in our, Talkback,
mike she's, like we've got, yeah property tax.
Speaker 1 (44:01):
Issues what are we talking about down? Here Getting Coach
osborne And hall Of fame for a state. Center megan
hunt to, SAY i don't like the president going and
looking at The Supreme court members while they're in. Session
what does that have to do with anything that they're
talking about here In.
Speaker 3 (44:15):
Nebraska but they.
Speaker 4 (44:17):
Aren't they're doing some of the heavy, Lifting, scott but
they're not doing the hard. Work with all due respect
to the forty Nine, folbrights they are politically motivated by
their base, constituencies and we don't have people down there
as many of. Them there are, some it's not a universal.
Problem you have to be willing to do the hard.
(44:39):
Stuff you have to be willing to pass legislation that
will irritate, people that will cause people to vote against.
You and we have a lot of entrenched special interests
in this state that have blocked the legislation that could
create policy that is better for our, state that is
better for the citizens of our, state but not as
good for.
Speaker 1 (44:58):
Them you don't think, that maybe it blows your comment
out of the water when you sarcastically refer to them
as the forty Nine fulbrights after, saying with all due
respect to this bunch of morons down, there they're.
Speaker 3 (45:12):
Not all, moron not all. Moron not some of them,
are but not all of.
Speaker 2 (45:16):
Them we're going to bring them back to The stone
ages where they, belong where they.
Speaker 3 (45:21):
Belong two to three.
Speaker 1 (45:22):
Weeks and it's funny to me that The president last
night said essentially the same thing that he has been
saying now for the last two to three. Weeks and
AS i make mention of just about every single, morning
the people On Wall street hear the same thing from
The president and walk away with wildly different. Impressions last,
(45:43):
night The president, says it's going. Great no one can believe.
It everyone, says so we'll be wrapping this thing up two,
weeks two three, weeks two weeks to Flatten. Iran and
today The dow is down six hundred points thus, far
just ten minutes before the trading, day The nasdaq is
down one hundred and sixty plus. Points that's about a
(46:03):
two percent drop for THE. Nasdac of, course he didn't
say anything different last, night but what did they want
him to? Say, yeah we're, Done we're just gonna leave
the job right. Now it's all gonna be. Great don't
worry about it'll be.
Speaker 4 (46:16):
Fine LIKE i, Said Wall street reads and listens to.
Headlines that's how it. Responds. Now it looks at what
The president, Says, okay we're up one, hundred or what
he didn't, say we're down one, hundred, yeah or what
is The Wall Street journal writing about this morning Or.
Speaker 3 (46:32):
Bloomberg we'll respond to.
Speaker 4 (46:34):
That it's, unfortunate but that's the nature Of Wall.
Speaker 1 (46:38):
Street one of the things The president said is he
was going To dover and meeting with families of people
Like Sergeant noatgions here At bellevue that the family members told,
him make sure you finish the. Job we don't need
these soldiers going back over there in, five, ten fifteen
years because we didn't finish the. Job so when The
(46:58):
president says we're bombing them back to The Stone, age
that's what he's talking. About the relieving them of the
opportunity to continue to enrich uranium and get weapons of mass,
destruction which we all Know iran wants to. Do everyone has,
thought Because iran has said, so we want to Obliterate.
(47:21):
Israel we want to Wipe israel off the. Map we
want to Destroy western. Interest they've been funding all these terrorist.
Groups they've they've our, money, yeah have Have they've Attacked.
Israel and The president, said is no one going to
put a stop to? This all, right, FINE i Guess
i'll have to do, it and we just blow him
up and we'll blow them back to The Stone.
Speaker 4 (47:41):
Age it, was it, was it was critically important at
some point in time that The United states was going
to have to take. Action they didn't have a weapon
until just Recently obama was Being, obama and that is
let's just let's just give them a bunch of money and, say,
okay you behave, yourself.
Speaker 3 (47:59):
You'll call him. Down and they didn't calm.
Speaker 1 (48:02):
Down Joe biden didn't know Where iran. Was you give
me a billion, Dollars i'll calm. Down i'll stop building.
WEAPONS i want to harken back to something you. SAID
i think it was last week you were talking about
this business owner In. Carney he brought here as a,
kid And immigration was taking a real good look at,
him had a few dings on his. Record one now
(48:23):
that it turns, out there's never never believed the first
reports that they give.
Speaker 3 (48:29):
You i'll give you the full picture.
Speaker 1 (48:31):
Here And i'm not saying that this guy, is you,
know a, bad bad ombre or anything like, that but
it is more than. One this is a guy who
was brought to this country at the age of. Ten
he has not been to his Native guatemala since the
age of ten. Years that was thirty seven years. Ago since,
(48:55):
then he's been a business owner In. Carney for those
of us who are fellow lopers like, myself we all
Love nick's. Heroes he is the one who bought and
owned and operated that for the last fifteen. Years right
across the street from campus, There Nick heros is a
famous place For College Harry. Poppy, well but he was
(49:17):
brought here as a, dreamer never had status in this,
country had an opportunity to get, it but didn't do.
So when you are when you have kids who are born,
here you can seek lawful permanent. Residency he didn't do.
That that's issue number. One issue number. Two we had
(49:38):
misdemeanor criminal infraction twenty, eighteen possession of marijuana And Lancaster.
County any drug conviction under federal law is probably going
to mark you for. Deportation that was in twenty, eighteen
never happened. Now in twenty twenty, two and in twenty
twenty four In Buffalo County, carney he was charged for
(50:00):
driving under the influence of. Alcohol in twenty twenty there
was a domestic assault arrest for misdemeanor, assault and it
was just a few weeks ago THAT ice agents took
this guy into custody and he's been there in The
Hall county, jail and we had a number of people
step up and, say, oh come, on he's a good,
guy business, owner he's a good.
Speaker 3 (50:21):
Man he shouldn't go back To.
Speaker 1 (50:23):
Guatemala but yesterday In omaha immigration judge ordered That Carlos
godinez be returned to his Native. Guatemala you were one
among those who, SAID i don't think this.
Speaker 3 (50:36):
Guy should be.
Speaker 1 (50:37):
Deported, well does the INFORMATION i just provided change your
mind a little? Bit because this is new some of
those early, Reports, yeah it's.
Speaker 4 (50:45):
NEW i advocate for what they called a good guy. Clause,
okay and the good guy clause provides for flexibility in
these deportation orders for guys like. Him these are the
guys who have come to the. Country and, yes he's
Not his record isn't, perfect very few records. Are but
(51:05):
for the grace Of god Go rosie over some of
his behavior in his. TWENTIES i would offer this that
we have to have, flexibility that this black and, white
it's yes or, no it's lawful or, unlawful needs to
incorporate certain conditions that might mitigate the need to lock
(51:27):
the guy up and then put him on an airplane
and send him back to a country where he hasn't
lived since he was ten years, old probably knows, nobody
probably has very little family. There so you've taken a
life and you've, said all, right this life goes. Away
but not just that, life his, business his family that
depends on him back In. Carney his family can still
run the, business or they can go with dear old dad.
(51:50):
Potentially now wait a, minute, now hold, on they Can i'm,
Look i'm a lawn order.
Speaker 3 (51:54):
Guy don't. Misunderstand i'm a lawn order.
Speaker 4 (51:57):
Guy and as you heard from the commentary THAT i
provided that WE i believe that there has to be
enforcement of. LAWS i suggest that there could be good
guy clauses for people like. Him and this is what
a good guy clause looks. Like, okay here is what
you must do to. Stay and you will never be
An american, citizen and you will never get to, vote
(52:19):
and you will not be entitled to some of the
benefits of citizenship because you're here. Illegally but because you've
committed to the, community you've raised a, family you have
economic impact not just on your, family but. Others we're
going to provide a special classification for. You it's like
the abortion. Debate you talk to some who say any
(52:40):
abortion is, unlawful, unholy and should be stopped at all,
costs and yet they refuse to admit that there are
some mitigating circumstances that make an abortion more preferable than.
Not nobody wants. One nobody believes that it's a good
idea that under some conditions having one is. Better let's
(53:00):
just focus on one thing at a time that we
could go down at an hour or time side of
what you just said.
Speaker 3 (53:06):
There but black and white is not how they can
function in the.
Speaker 1 (53:09):
World so this, guy AND i believe his, Attorney Omaha's Rachel,
yamamoto who would not admit to knowing, me BUT i Know,
rachel AND i think she is absolutely. Fantastic and she
said that this was a good, man good family, man good,
businessman and he and she believes like, you that he
(53:30):
should have been able to stay. Here i'm looking at
these criminal. Records though we got a drug, charge just
a little bit of. MARIJUANA i know for most people it's,
ah that's not a big. Deal the two duy, charges
including in twenty twenty four In Buffalo, county the domestic
assault arrest in twenty twenty bothers. Me the fact that
(53:50):
he had his driver's license revoked and his unauthorized status
would prohibit him from lawfully obtaining a driver's license In.
Nebraska what kind of life was he going to be
able to?
Speaker 3 (54:02):
Lead?
Speaker 1 (54:02):
Here and last point here and Then i'll give you
the last moment on. This it's not like we're sending
him to A ugandan prison or even to the prison in.
McCook he's not going to. Jail he's going To. Guatemala
guatemala is in A turkish. Prison guatemala's a pretty nice.
Speaker 3 (54:18):
Place you been? There, NO i have friends who have been,
there and you may be. Right i've never been. There,
yeah it's a nice.
Speaker 1 (54:26):
Place and he has a chance now to restart a
business and his family can go with. HIM i don't
know if his family's gonna go with. Him this is
when you learn where you stand as a husband and a.
Father is your family gonna go with you when you
get deported To? Guatemala are they gonna, say, well it's
a darn, Shame, well good luck.
Speaker 4 (54:46):
Call IF i were the judge in this, case this,
individual IF i were the, Judge i'd send him back
To guatemala based on his criminal record in this, case
but there are millions of guys like him who haven't
committed fellow who haven't gotten into trouble with the, law
who are getting rounded up and sent back home without his.
Speaker 3 (55:06):
Record. Again this is for, Example.
Speaker 1 (55:09):
SORRY i, SAID i give you the last, word BUT
i gotta fight back on. This is that really the
case or is it was first reported like oh he's gotten.
Nothing it maybe one, reportings and then we learned later,
like oh, okay there is a bit more than they
say there.
Speaker 4 (55:25):
Is, well you report on the information you have available
at the, time And i'm not excusing shoddy craftsmanship by
this reporter or those who have written about, it because
there have been multiple stories about this. Guy, again if
it were up to, me based on that information that
we've just, DISCOVERED i would, say, sorry, dude you're off To.
Guatemala but there are a lot of guys who don't
(55:47):
have that criminal record who are also getting rounded, up
AND i DON'T i think there needs to be a
good guy clause for.
Speaker 1 (55:52):
THEM i don't know that they're getting rounded. UP i
think that the reporting has been not fully reported in
a lot of these. Instances is once once you dig
a little, deeper you find out, like, oh, okay well
there is the cannibalism.
Speaker 3 (56:05):
Charge I'm Scott.
Speaker 1 (56:06):
Vorhees this Is News radio eleven TEN KFA, B Craig,
Evans Lucy, Chapman Jim. Rose we're all here On Nebraska's
Morning news and talking about the president, saying, well we
didn't want regime, change but it turns out we killed
all their, leaders SO i guess we got regime. Change
i'm reminded of one of the recent bombings In. Iran
this is as a, newscaster, reporter commentator is complaining about
(56:31):
The Great Satan america when we blew up THAT tv
station while.
Speaker 3 (56:36):
