Hey, Nate, ho you doingScott so thanks for having us. This
really is a benefit for the CarterlakeFire Department. But more than that,
it's something for the community. Wedecided a couple of years ago that after
COVID we need to bring the communitytogether. Everybody had been locked up and
so it was kind of a brainchildof a friend of mine, and we

(05:21):
brought in some local bands and we'vejust tried to grow from there. We
have a beer garden. Lisa startsat four I believe Brian takes the stage
around six, six thirties. Whatday are we talking about it? And
then Saturday, This coming Saturday,so carter Lake Days is the parades in
the morning. Then we have afestival down to the ball fields and then

(05:42):
four o'clock the music starts. Teno'clock we have fireworks. The city's dumped
thousands of more dollars into the fireworksthis year, so it should be a
good show. It's gonna be agood time. Oh and we also have
for those of you that know fireworks, we have lots of creamer bombs,
which those are really cool. Ithink I used to eat those as a
kids. The ding ding man wouldcome around, ye like that deck I
get a dollar one a creamer bomb, right, something like that, and

(06:04):
then you're just terribly mad. Yeah, it might have been a movie I
watched. I don't enjoy the beergarden and whatnot. It's gonna be a
good time, all right, coolNate, thank you. How you know
when you guys and those with theCarter Lake Fire Department there, this has
got to be a pretty fun dayfor you. It's a lot of fun,
it really is. It's a lotof work. There's a lot of
prepping that goes into it. Butwe have a good time and I really

(06:26):
hope the community comes out because they'regoing to have a great time. Show
up by tickets right there on theday of the show, you can,
oh, it's all free free, absolutely. Yeah. This is a terrible
fundraiser. Well, so the beergarden is the fundraiser. I got to
give a shout out to the Ponkertribe in Nebraska. They're the ones that
really help make this happen. Sothey do very well by us. So
where is this happening? Are westraddling the line between Iowa and Nebraska?

(06:50):
There is it on the water?Where is it a shoreline golf course?
Where do we do this? It'sright at seventeenth and Q, which is
the ball fields it's it's seventeenth andQ and Carter in Carter Lake. Yeah,
absolutely, okay, and there ohyeah, fireworks right at ten o'clock.
I mean right at ten in themorning. You're not gonna be able
to see them, I know, right, I know. I suggest doing

(07:11):
at ten o'clock at night. Okay, I'll bring that next, take that
under advice. Alright, so sorryonce again. The whole schedule of events
this Saturday, So eleven o'clock isthe parade eleven, It goes till probably
about I don't know, twelve thirtyor so. Then down at the ball
fields there's a big festival. Theyhave vendors down there, stuff for the
kids. I'm not really involved inthat, but I know that there's a
lot, and then the fire departmenttakes over at four with the music.

(07:33):
And then at ten o'clock is theis the fireworks. Cool details online somewhere
you can go to the Carterlake FireDepartment. You can which is on Facebook.
