Speaker 1 (00:02):

Speaker 2 (00:17):
The Woody Show. I believe this is the Woody Show.
Insensitivity Training class is now in session. Good morning, everybody.
(00:48):
Today is Wednesday. It is July the fifteenth, twenty twenty six.
It is Heyday officially. I got something more on that
in a second, but I did want to just say
hello and welcome every buddy. I am your host, Woody.
That is Greg Gory. We got Menace, Gena gran Sea Bass,
There's Sammy Morgan is here, Jeff g is here, there's
(01:10):
von Our video preiser. Dumbass Tyler is here. We got bored,
we got Benji. Phones are open eight seven seven forty four.
Woodie sent us a text over to two to nine
eight seven. Yeah. So around here, we get paid on
the fifteenth and on the last day of the month,
but it seems like everybody has a different payday. I
was talking to Jeff two days ago. He's like, well,
we just got paid. Him like, wait until it's not
(01:31):
till the fifteenth. He goes, oh, no, I have whatever
I and I and I've I've heard about that before,
whether it was Menace or somebody else.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Here Bank accounts will give you two days early paid.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Yeah, it's the bank.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
They'll front you.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
So the bank's fronting the money. Okay. That answers my
question because I was wondering from a business standpoint, like
you know, like you're a personal you know, uh, you know,
doing doing a deal with somebody. You write them a check,
right and you give them the check then go cash
it right then and there, Like from an accounting standpoint
if you're a business, like, how do you account for Uh? Well,
(02:07):
Menace gave him his money on Monday. Yeah, but Jeff
didn't get his till Wednesday, you know, the actual day
or you know. I don't. I don't get how that
how that all works, But I guess the bank is
fronting it.
Speaker 4 (02:18):
And mine's random. Some days I'll get the payday check earlier, yeah,
and then other times it's on the actual payday.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
Yeah. Well, because you said random. For the longest time,
the way it worked was, let's say let's say the
fifteenth fell on a Saturday, Well, then you would get
you would get paid on Friday. If it fell on
the Sunday, they'd give it to you on Monday.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Oh really Yeah, Because the longest time is the way way.
If it fell on a Monday, I would get paid
on Saturday.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Oh really yep.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
Yeah for me, if it was Saturday or Sunday, I
would get paid Friday.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Yeah. But it's exciting when you wake up and you
know you got you got that direct deposit. Yeah, that's fun.
Today is July the fifteenth. Today is National be a
door Day. Cool. It is a National give something away Day.
Did you end up getting rid of a bunch of
stuff when you move, Sammy?
Speaker 5 (03:06):
Not really.
Speaker 6 (03:07):
I gave Morgan some pots and pans, But other than that,
I mean, I just live so minimally to begin with that,
I didn't have much to give away.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
Today is I Love Horses Day, And I do love horses.
They're so sweet.
Speaker 4 (03:20):
I don't know they're intimidating.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
I don't see. I know a lot of people feel
like that. You're not the only person I know that
feels that way. Like people are just scared of them.
They're big dogs.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
I mean, they can't crush you want to.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Yeah, but they're really sweet, not scary. Now for the
most part of me. There are some jerks I have met.
Some jerk horses have different personalities they do. You know,
it's just like anything else. But for the most part
overwhelmingly they're they're really sweet, gentle an.
Speaker 5 (03:44):
They decide they don't like you.
Speaker 7 (03:45):
Like growing up in Kansas, we would horse back right
a lot, and they'd like scrape you against the fans
and stuff, and just like.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
They're er I love they're petty. Ranking of favorite horses.
What do you mean favorite horses type of horse? I
don't have a favorite type. No, I'm not. No, my
daughter could do that because she could tell you all
the different kinds.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Oh really, I mean there's obviously awesome quarter horse, and
then you got Arabian and they only killed seven eight
hundred people just in this country alone each year.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
So they're not scary, Greg, they're not scary. Well you
know what, they just know they're like Lemmy, Yeah, yeah,
gentle giant Lenny. I'm thinking, yeah, Lenny of ofhead Yeah,
it's like Lemmy of motorhead Let the Rabbit, Yeah yeah
from men. Well, I just pad him too hard. George, Yeah,
(04:39):
they don't know. When do you watch those videos like
elephants get pissed off that? Yeah, because they're like someone
some a holes like cracking them with something and they're like, dude,
don't you realize this thing will end you like zero effort? Good.
Speaker 5 (04:55):
I love when animals attack justifiably.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
Yeah, oh yeah, of course. On the food holidays, today's
National gummy worm Day. It is National hot dog dayay,
oh Greg, Tapioca pudding Day.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
I do love it.
Speaker 8 (05:10):
I don't know why people hate it, are you ninety?
Speaker 2 (05:12):
No? But it's good.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
It's like vanilla pudding. It's like weird balls.
Speaker 7 (05:16):
But I know why you love it because you probably
used to serve it at the nursing hall.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
That's probably true, but that's why he loves it.
Speaker 5 (05:23):
It is, Yeah, because who else eats tapioca?
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Yeah, I'm not a big taboo.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
I haven't gone out and bought it and I think
ever in my life.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
But if it's there, like whoever thought like, hey, you
know what we should do?
Speaker 5 (05:33):
Well, I could go for it.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
No, you know, this pudding even worse. And I do
like pudding, although and I like butterscotch. Would you say
is for old people? Oh? If that's also you acknowledge
that tapioca is.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
Oh, yeah, I guess so, I guess so.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
I guess. I don't know why I got.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
That reputation, but think about it when was the last
time you went out and got putting of any kind?
Speaker 5 (05:56):
Got at the store.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
My son has My son had his wisdom teeth out.
My wife bottom like one of those massive packs of
the pudding cups. And for the first time in a
long time. Yeah, so the first time in a long
time I had some. Yeah, it was really fare I'll
eat it. Butterscotch pudding, yum. I don't know if I've
ever had butter You have it. Banana pudding, that's pretty
good favor. You don't like the banana flavored.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Stuff, Yeah, banana puddings.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
Blom and Greg day is an orange chicken day, Samuel.
Let's combine two things, one of your favorite things, Trader
Joe's with one of Greg's things, the Trader Joe's Mandarin
orange chicken.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
I think it's still their best seller.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
Yeah. Now, now, Greg has a has a tip for everybody.
If you want to make a quote more restaurant team. Right,
you got the Trader Joe's chicken, Chop up.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
The garlic and then put that front of sauce as
you put it on low heat, so the sauce is
heating up overcook the chicken. They say, like whatever. Twenty minutes.
Do thirty minutes.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Now you bake it.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
I put it in the oven.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
Yeah. See, we use like a little bit of oil
in a pan.
Speaker 4 (06:56):
Never does.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
There's two different ways to do. They have two different
ways on the back of the bag skillet. We like
the crispier version where you just use just a little
bit of like a vegetableil or whatever and just a
crispit in the pan. And then we do the same
thing that Greg does with the chopped garlic, garlic in
the sauce, with.
Speaker 4 (07:11):
That in the sauce, maybe honey, even though it's kind
of overkill, and then when it's done, you pour the
sauce over the chicken. Combine it really well, add green
onion and sesame seeds.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
You think it. You hit it with a little bit
of sesame seed. Greg's been saying that for years. He
got me on it for looks and for taste and
a good side, or you just serve it over. They
actually have a really good I know it's a vegetable
fried rice menace, but like I think really good, but
I think chicken fried rice with the orange chicken. So
that's a little overkilled. So you get the vegetable fried
(07:42):
you already have the chicken, so really it's chicken. It's
orange chicken fried rice.
Speaker 4 (07:45):
And you think you would think that was like takeout.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
I bite into it and there's vegetables. Yeah, it tast
a little bit better to have some meat up in there.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
There is the side no, like you're eating it with
you know, like when you get like orange chicken from
a Chinese restaurant, would like steamed rice. What do you
eat fried rice? Yeah, of course there's vegetables and there.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Yeah, some shramps. You know, I want to just eat
it with just vegetables. No, like meat, you know that's gross, So.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
You'll have to have a bite of meat with you
wouldn't just eat fried rice by itself naturally. Hello, there's
there's always like egg in it. Yeah, it's usually give me,
give me extra egg, extra garlic. When you go to
like the hibachi, like the kind of places extra egg,
extra garlic.
Speaker 4 (08:39):
Yeah, dude, all the eggs and all the garlic.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
Yeah, put it all my mouth at me and celebrate
because you know, today it's national orange chicken egg.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
It's wet, it's and you know you don't.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
It's a big birthday today, the fiftieth birthday for comedian
Gabriel Iglesias birthday. It is Fluffy's birthday Today. Forrest Whitaker
is sixty five. He got Brian Austin Green from the
original nineties nine O two to one.
Speaker 8 (09:15):
Oh David, I'm putting it in Megan Fox for the
Best Years for life.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
Yeah, he got prime Meghan Fox. Yeah, I got it
and used it up. He's a here we go. You
sound like a real feministy man.
Speaker 8 (09:27):
I really used it up, meaning that he gave her
life and let her be her true inspiration as a mother. Yeah,
thank you, Okay for happiness.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
He's fifty three. Today you got Jesse Ventura, the former
professional wrestler Minnesota governor. He's seventy five.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
Damn, I didn't know he was still alive.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Yeah. Marky Ramone, drummer for the Ramones, is seventy four.
He's still alive. He's probably the only Ramone. Leveow and
mother f and Linda Ronstad It is eighty years old today.
Today's Parno birthday is Sensual Jane. Yes, and today's the Girl.
She has boobs so big that TSA always asks if
they're carry on, you know you want to check those Yeah,
(10:05):
and She's shown them off in two hundred and forty
five find adult films, including Conclave of Cleavage. She was
in Mess On Her Memories Volume one, Big Breast Nirvana,
also Lesbian's Bumping Boobs. She was in Nipple Treats Volume
one Treats. Uh huh. The Goddess of Bubism. She was
(10:26):

that's nice, but you guys who can forget her unforgetable
role and give her the goo? Oh yeah, that's sensual. Jane,
who's forty three years old today, And that's part of
birthday and your celebrity birthdays. And I'll talk about Tapioca pudek. Alright,
we've got more on a show coming up for you next.
(10:46):
Hang right back.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
What's up, Buddy Show Podcast listeners, It's menace. Listen up.

party at four pm doing a bunch of giveaways. We'll
be there through the entire game, handing out prizes. Watching
the game. You can hang out with us again Echo
Park this Monday, July twentieth, starting at four, probably going
(11:17):
to around seven Echo Park, Habit Burger Dodgers, Habit home Base.
We'll see you there.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
What is quote popular and huge twity shows? Well, I
mean I guess that depends on who you ask. Job
true all we are the Woody Show into another new
hour insensitivity training for a politically correct world. Bodie greg
masis Geniograd, who's got the trending news headlines? Well?
Speaker 5 (11:45):
The House of Representatives has voted to pass a measure
for a year round daylight savings time nationwide. The measure
is called the Sunshine Protection Act, and it passed three
hundred and eight to one hundred and seventeen. Who was
now voting for this? It would put the country on
the time currently that we use from March to November,
unless the state wants an exemption for some insane reason.
(12:08):
Representative Vern Buchanana Florida said it best. He said, it's
time that people stop worrying about the clock, not to
mention all the work and money that is spent on
this ridiculous twice yearly production. And now the bill heads
to the Senate and if it passes there, it becomes the.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
Law will they say they don't have the support they
need in the Senate. While yeah, I heard a report
this morning and I grid that I saw. I don't
support it because it gets darker earlier, right, yeah, I
think so.
Speaker 5 (12:34):
Yeah, but in the summer it won't stay light till
like nine, who cares.
Speaker 4 (12:39):
Yeah, but then in the winter it'll get dark at four.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
So the one argument that I heard for the first
time ever because I'm like, yeah, okay, stop moving the
clocks around. It's dumb. And I'm talking about it for
decades and I'm still of that mind, like cool, let's
just stop the whole moving the clock, yes, springing forward,
fall back kind of thing. Okay. The one argument that
I saw is they did this, I want to say
on this seventies. They actually tried it, Yeah, nineteen seventy three,
(13:03):
maybe early seventies. And the problem was it wasn't like
the sun wasn't coming up till like nine o'clock in
the morning. Okay, So kids were at the school bus
stop in the pitch black. They were in school pitch black,
and so it was like a safety thing in the
morning because they were like, you know, parents didn't want
their kids like at the school bus stop in you know,
(13:23):
basically the dark of nights. Yeah, there was that, and
also a lot of people didn't like. Okay, so it's
on either end of your day, your day, you're waking
up basically in the middle of night, and that was
screwing people up, Like trying to wake up when it
was still dark out. That was screwing people. No, because
people always talk about and they point to examples of
(13:45):
how many heart attacks or how many whatever. Problem, Yeah,
when they do these things. So, but it's it's on
either end, right, So it's either the beginning of your
day or the end of your day, you're going to
be messed up. And so if it doesn't get the
sun doesn't come up till nine o'clock more. Again, I'm
on the on the train of just leave the clocks
forget it? Who cares wait? Leave it?
Speaker 5 (14:05):
Like leave how we have it now?
Speaker 2 (14:07):
Whichever one they decide, let's just leave it there. But
let's stop the whole Well, are we putting the clocks
forward or back? Is it this weekends? It next weekend?
Let's stop doing.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
That current clock.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
But it's not going to happen. They don't have the
support in the Senate, so they they've done this. I
feel like this is the every year conversation where it
passes the House and then conversation.
Speaker 7 (14:27):
Yeah, but three times the people voted yes on it
in the House, of course.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
But it's not going to uh, it's not going to
pass the Senate. It just won't happen. So we'll have
the same conversation again next year.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
And if we can control the clock, what is time?
Speaker 5 (14:41):
It's just an idea.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
It's becoming just another dumb argument like this pineapple belong
on pizza that we just have all the time.
Speaker 7 (14:51):
Well, Spain locked in its spot in the World Cup
Final after beating France two to nothing. Spain's defense shut
out one of the best scoring teams in the World Cup.
They were able to score on a penalty kick plus
another second half goal to send the French home for
the summer. Today, defending World Cup champs Argentina take on
England to see who will face Spain on Sunday. And
(15:12):
the MLB All Star Game was a pitching showcase that
led to the American League.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Dude, Yeah, so boring, right?
Speaker 1 (15:20):
Nothing?
Speaker 2 (15:20):
Yeah, but you thought the All Star Game was boring
already When you have a shutout in the All Star Game.
I want to see it to be like fifteen to fifteenth, right.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
Realized it was still happening.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
Yeah, yeah, I want to see a bunch of offense.
Speaker 7 (15:32):
Yeah right, Well, the American League got three runs in
the first inning thanks to Cody Bellinger and Ben Rice,
and all the runs came against Philly's pitcher Christopher Sanchez.
The American League won for the eighteenth time in twenty
three games. Me By the way, tonight, the biggest award
show in sports, The SP's, is going down in New York.
It'll be hosted by everybody's favorite SNL star and comedian
(15:54):
Marcelo Hernandez.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
Sweet, that's right that you don't like that dude, Yes,
as a person.
Speaker 4 (16:01):
As an actor, maybe he's not special on Netflix legally
the dumbest thing I've ever watched, so boring.
Speaker 5 (16:11):
But he doesn't really get impression of your favorite.
Speaker 4 (16:13):
He does do a great Sebastian Yeah, but god, that
special suck.
Speaker 5 (16:18):
Well we'll see if he does better at the SP's.
Speaker 7 (16:20):
And okay, remember the name Sully Sullenberger already Captain Sully.
Speaker 5 (16:25):
Okay, he was obviously he will play on the HUDs.
Speaker 7 (16:29):
Yeah, in New York yeah, two thousand and nine. And
remember Tom Hanks even played him in the movie Sully. Well,
he just went public with his Alzheimer's diagnosis. He put
out a statement says it's still in the early stages.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
Sully, Remember Sully, that's a.
Speaker 5 (16:42):
Good question, ask him. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (16:44):
He says he sometimes struggles to remember names, he repeats stories.
He's already told he doesn't sleep.
Speaker 5 (16:48):
Well, that's a that's Greg's latest symptom tracker.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
I can't remember. I can't remember what we talked about.
Speaker 5 (17:00):
Yes, you told us that already, Greg Well.
Speaker 7 (17:03):
Sully put out a statement saying that he just wants
to go public because he hopes it encourages other families
dealing with Alzheimer's to speak openly about it. And he
says he's looking forward to his big milestones coming up,
like his upcoming induction into the National Aviation Hall of
Fame and apparently what do you got to get in
on that yet? And he doesn't want his diagnosis to
define him.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
I don't like get that much. No, really, No, it's
not doing it as a career.
Speaker 5 (17:27):
It would be fun, do something heroic and then may even.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
Be in landing a river. Yeah, right, somebody just did
that recently. There's another story about somebody that landed in
the Hudson. I think it was another plane that's like
new runway, not the size of a huge commercial airliner.
Speaker 7 (17:42):
But well, whenever I think of somebody landing where they're
not supposed to, it's always Harrison Ford on a golf
course and I'm yelling at him.
Speaker 4 (17:49):
Some random freeway exactly.
Speaker 7 (17:51):
Well, health officials are still trying to figure out whether
Taco Bell is connected to this big outbreak of cyclospora.
You know, that's where everybody's issuing their for like literal
weeks on end. So the investigation, it's still in its
early stages, so they're not outright accusing Taco Bell of anything,
but enough people who got sick did report eating there
(18:11):
that it's become part of the investigation. So the leading
theory now is that contaminated fresh produce like lettuce is
to blame, not the taco meat or anything cooked. So
as a precaution sounds.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
No vegetables, no putting water on stuff. I'll go to
Taco Bell.
Speaker 5 (18:28):
Today, but what's left on the menu, because as a precaution,
some locations are pulling ingredients like lettuce cilantro onions at
picode gayo and guacamam.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
I'm still good. That's just the meat.
Speaker 7 (18:44):
Well, so far, thousands of people have gotten sick. Eighty
have been hospitalized, and the illness can last days, it
can last weeks.
Speaker 5 (18:49):
You get severe diarrhea.
Speaker 7 (18:51):
Stomach crams, okay, nausea, and exhaustion. And at this point,
investigators think the problem is likely tied to a shared
produce supplier, not Taco Bell itself.
Speaker 5 (19:00):
They're just trying to get to the bottom of cheezy.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Roll up two weeks roll up?
Speaker 4 (19:06):
How much weight do you lose?
Speaker 2 (19:07):
That?
Speaker 7 (19:07):
That's the big thing that's going around on social media.
Is not washing their lettuce so they can be like
a size for question.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
What adult goes to Taco Bell and orders cheesy roll ups? One? Right?
Speaker 1 (19:20):
Here? You do. We've already gone over this. This is
my broad snack. This is the snack that I have
on the way to the house to eat the Taco Bell.
Speaker 5 (19:30):
It's the car. It all it is is a a
case of shape correct, easier to eat while you're driving.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
I guess I know, but I don't know. I don't
know how I feel about ordering. Yeah, I'll have a hey,
adult man that you drive through. What can I get you? Uh?
Y'all have four cheesy roll ups? Please? They should be
like in there with Dino nuggets.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
Yeah, but I'm not like trying to fight the guy
taking my order. No, I don't think I'm a badass.
Speaker 2 (19:59):
Cheesy first cheesy roll ups.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
Yeah, I've seen.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
A lot of adults ordering happy meals.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
Yeah, because they want the cups.
Speaker 5 (20:11):
Also, it's like the perfect sized meal.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
But how do you feel good about yourself? You could
still order a small fry and a cheeseburger.
Speaker 5 (20:16):
It's the perfect size meal.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
Then you don't get the toy. It's like the toy
there you go. So don't say it's because it's the
size of the meal. You can still order whatever it's
in that, Like, you can order the cheeseburger and the
small fry.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
But how do I get my Pokemon cars?
Speaker 2 (20:30):
Yeah, just say it's about the toy with the side
of garbage. You're a grown person ordering a happy meal.
Speaker 4 (20:38):
But I got a side with menace on this. Like
you go to the Taco Bell drive through, you order
cheesy roll ups. Like, I hope he doesn't think I'm
not cool.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
No, especially here's the thing and we're good. It's more
about the name, like why I got to give it
that name?
Speaker 5 (20:52):
No, that's true? Or just throw a car seat in
the back and they won't suspect.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
Well I mean that, Greg, you can swear I'm a father,
don't mess with me. How's that different? Greg? Just out
of curiosity? And know how's that different than Greg? Won't
go and eatn a restaurant by himself. It would make
up a story about well, I'm just here on business,
that's right, Like, because you wouldn't feel good about yourself, right,
I don't know how I feel about myself. I don't
(21:21):
know how i'd feel about myself. Of them at the
taco bell and I go, Yes, four cheesy roll ups.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
I've never gone through with the shrade, but that is
the plan.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
He hasn't even brought himself to that situation.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
Although you will switch grocery stores if you're.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
Not a knock on case. It's about the name.
Speaker 5 (21:38):
Well, that's what's going on.
Speaker 2 (21:40):
Give me the fun cheesy rolls. I'll take the cheesy
squeezes my wife.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
I just got back from this UFC fight. I'm all
rottened up. Dude. You might get punch.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
Make sure the toys in there. It's the perfect size meal.
The Woodie Show phones open eight seven seven forty four, Woody,
you can hit us up anytime during the show. Someone's
here to pick up live. Uh, anytime after the show,
after ours voicemail, I can always leave one of those
fours eight seven seven forty four, Woody, you can leave
(22:20):
us a talk back, you know. Here's here's one that
we got.
Speaker 1 (22:23):
Hey, can you guys bring back stupid house Hunter? And
it's a been a really long time since you've done it.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
Thanks, It has been a long time way too, and
you know what, to be honest, I haven't watched house
Hunters in a long time for me as well, so
I don't know any of the newer ones. If anybody
is out there watching house Hunters and you remember an
episode that you saw that was remarkably stupid, yeah, where
it's like, you know, you know, you know the one. Look,
they're all dumb in their own way. Absolutely, Yeah, there's
(22:50):
always like one annoying thing. But there are some episodes
that stick out. Remember the woman that wanted the Barbie
dream House?
Speaker 5 (22:56):
Yeah, oh, I forgot about that.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
She was super annoying. Uh oh, also annointment the Vocal
Fry Lesbians. Oh yeah, Meghan, Meghan and Ellie.
Speaker 9 (23:06):
Play Megan and Ellie want a larger home in the
Washington d C. Everything was like the area now that
they're ready to start their married life together.
Speaker 5 (23:15):
Wait, this is like a party bathroom.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
I love the tile.
Speaker 9 (23:19):
Problem is they have very different tastes when it comes
to style.
Speaker 5 (23:23):
Definitely like a full open concepts, kind of like a
white fox.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
God, like a white.
Speaker 5 (23:34):
Much like my wife, a white bob.
Speaker 7 (23:37):
I feel like this is all Ellie's vibe.
Speaker 9 (23:40):
There's also a bathroom definitely all just new.
Speaker 5 (23:44):
Oh wow, so is this your TV wall?
Speaker 10 (23:48):
I feel like this is way bigger than upstairs bathroom.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
In your backyard.
Speaker 9 (23:55):
This is saying it's DC, but this is literally not
the city.
Speaker 5 (24:02):
There how many syllables are in yard?
Speaker 2 (24:09):
And then the other is like, oh I want you?
And then yeah the Barbie dreamhouse. Check the Vocal Fry Lesbians.
Oh the other one was the there was this Okay,
the the guy was mega weird. He was like really
weird about Wi Fi. Oh and he wanted a shower. Yeah,
he wanted a shower big enough because he naps in
(24:30):
the shower. Really do you do you? Yeah? Oh yeah,
Tim and Jen. That's the that's the couple.
Speaker 10 (24:36):
I'm Tim and I'm Jen and we currently live in St. Paum, Minnesota.
Speaker 11 (24:40):
For work, I write copy for an advertising agency. I
talk with ideas for websites, billboards, I write TV commercials,
radio commercials.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
And I'm currently in school.
Speaker 10 (24:51):
I'm study nutrition and thinking about being a dietician one day.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
I know so many people now I go, well, what
is your girlfriend or what's your wife do? Oh, she's
she's a dietitian. That seems to be a big thing
right now, DIETI yeah, it's like where everybody used to
be like, oh, she's a real stagent.
Speaker 5 (25:07):
Is it like life coach?
Speaker 2 (25:08):
I think it's another one of those really low bar
entry you know things. Well, yeah maybe that. Tim and Jen.
Their tastes are different, but like what are they looking for?
Speaker 12 (25:20):
You know?
Speaker 9 (25:20):
She wants a Victoria. He wants a newer ranch, specifically
because he thinks Wi Fi travels better through thinner walls.
Speaker 11 (25:28):
Test the Wi Fi is going to flow through here
like a hot night through butter.
Speaker 9 (25:33):
They also have completely different tastes regarding the finishes.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
I don't like this at all.
Speaker 5 (25:39):
It's like psychicell is and the kapper.
Speaker 9 (25:42):
Since Tim insists on napping in the shower, he has
to find one with enough space to stretch out.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
Yeah, it's good. I mean his mother efforts laying in
the shower. You're like Torian house and he's like laying
down in the shower.
Speaker 13 (25:58):
My question is, why do you marry is someone that
has different tastes because it's a lifetime of Evan arguments, right,
I don't know. I would love to know the percentage
of people that get divorced after they buy this house.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
Yeah, what Jen wants, what Tim wants?
Speaker 10 (26:12):
So I really prefer Victorian style home. I think the
architecture is so beautiful.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
That sounds like Sammy, I love old.
Speaker 11 (26:19):
Look, my parents live in an old home and the
Wi Fi is horrible. I feel like a newer home
is going to be much better for Wi Fi connection.
Speaker 9 (26:29):
He also wants to make sure the house they buy
is arena adjacent.
Speaker 11 (26:32):
I really want to be as close to the arena
as possible to walk to all the hockey games. That's
really the only area I want to be in. See,
this guy has got fin walls for Wi Fi. He
needs the shower big enough to lay down in, and he.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
Wants to watch.
Speaker 5 (26:47):
He wants to walk to that ring.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
They also want a backyard, but he wants it for what.
Speaker 10 (26:51):
A backyard is really important to both of us, First
and foremost for our dog. His name is Jeter Elvis
Myers and.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
He's the love of my life.
Speaker 11 (27:00):
Also, with the backyard, I wanted a space big enough
to make an outdoor hockey rink.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
This what I'm talking about. So when you're watching House
Hunters and you're watching episode, there may be one annoying moment,
but like this is where the entire episode, like you
wanted to reach through and choke this dude. A Victorian
house with a backyard ice rink with me? This wouldn't
you rather be homeless than Yes, someone looks like the
(27:28):
Adams family house or you know, they're all haunted.
Speaker 4 (27:32):
Like eighteen colors of the curves and old timey looking houses.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
I'm not into it at all.
Speaker 5 (27:43):
I like looking at them. I would you not like
to live in one? Textured wallpaper?
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Let's go, oh my god, textured wallpapers back?
Speaker 3 (27:51):
It is?
Speaker 2 (27:52):
That's back. I see that. I see that. A lot
of you go into like some of these newer like
like hotels or whatever. They're all doing it.
Speaker 5 (28:00):
Yeah, Mario loves grass clock.
Speaker 4 (28:01):
I don't mind that in a Victorian house.
Speaker 2 (28:05):
But again, you need that big shower so you can
sleep in it.
Speaker 11 (28:07):
I need to make sure that the shower has plenty
of room for me to lay down in. Since I
was twelve, I've been laying down in the shower.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
It's falling asleep. It's how I take a shower. You know.
Speaker 5 (28:19):
It's just one of those quarks, one of them.
Speaker 4 (28:22):
It's not a quirk, it's a mental ill.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
It's a waste of water, right right, Are you napping
in there with the water running? Are you just laying
in there? Because I can't imagine, I mean, I can't
imagine just comfortable to lay in there.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
I think it is because he said that's how I shower.
What a you know, planet hating jerky.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
Yeah, they did take they did take a look at
a Victorian you know.
Speaker 9 (28:43):
First up the style of home she wants in the
downtown neighborhood he wants.
Speaker 5 (28:48):
It's a perfect Victorian home.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
This is like the so much charm.
Speaker 11 (28:52):
The good news is it's only two miles from the arena.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
Whooa thank god, thank god.
Speaker 10 (29:00):
Yeah, Jen and Tim, how are you good?
Speaker 2 (29:03):
How are you calling good now? I know Jen is
going to be super excited.
Speaker 13 (29:07):
It was built in nineteen oh one, so it's going
to be older.
Speaker 5 (29:10):
Four beds, so lots of room for baby.
Speaker 11 (29:12):
My major concerns is the Wi Fi. It doesn't seem
like the WiFi is going to work here.
Speaker 5 (29:17):
How can we tell?
Speaker 2 (29:19):
You're handing on the wall and solid? Yeah? And Wi
Fi doesn't work there?
Speaker 5 (29:23):
Now, what about a fireplace?
Speaker 2 (29:24):
I saw a chimney outside. There is no fireplace.
Speaker 11 (29:27):
How is there a chimney but there's no fireplace? It's
like seeing the fin of a shark, but then there's
no shark there?
Speaker 2 (29:33):
Head outside? Wait, wait for it, nice Jack. It's small.
Speaker 5 (29:37):
The yard is benched, you guys, which is big as.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
I would want.
Speaker 5 (29:40):
It's small, but it's cute.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
Yeah, but you're talking about you his penants or the deck?
Speaker 10 (29:47):
Yeah, nice Jack, it's small.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
The yard is benched, you guys, which as big as
I would want.
Speaker 5 (29:52):
It's small but it's cute.
Speaker 2 (29:54):
It's small, but it's cute. Nice deck. Every guy wants
a big deck.
Speaker 1 (29:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 13 (29:59):
I mean he has a point that Wi Fi doesn't
travel through sheet rock very well in old homes. You
sheet rock, right, but get a Wi Fi extended, you idiot.
Speaker 9 (30:06):
Like.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
Yeah, but you know I'm on his side on the
chimney thing.
Speaker 6 (30:12):
The house was built in nineteen oh one and there's
no fireplace.
Speaker 5 (30:15):
Yes, there is.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Something covered it. Yeah. Yeah, it's not like they had
like a central heat and air and all.
Speaker 1 (30:24):
Those sam you heard in nineteen and one.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
Aer like, yeah, you got a wonder like this chick dude,
like how does she put her legs up for this guy?
Like talking about kids? You're never gonna have kids.
Speaker 4 (30:34):
And they also do this thing where they the husband's
budget is a million, the wife wants to spend four hundred,
like you know, you're married, right.
Speaker 2 (30:43):
Another thing to fight about, another thing about. Yeah, well,
I mean you know, yes, it is all pooled money
most of the time, but one person would like to
hold on to more of it because but wouldn't you
both you know, well, not necessarily, I want.
Speaker 4 (30:59):
To spend more.
Speaker 5 (31:00):
Oh yeah, to get what you want.
Speaker 4 (31:01):
You want a deal, but yeah, you might want to
over overspend.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
If it means getting a shower that you can nap
and then find in the backyard. But she finally got honest,
was it?
Speaker 9 (31:11):
So now they're back in the burbs.
Speaker 2 (31:13):
This is not a ranch.
Speaker 10 (31:14):
It's definitely not a Victorian either.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
I like a ranch style home.
Speaker 11 (31:16):
Well, let's face it, if I wanted to be far
away from the hockey arena, we would have just stayed
in Florida. We're gonna have to fence in this backyard
because it's Yeah, it's way too small and there's no
way I can get a hockey rink in this backyard.
Speaker 10 (31:30):
One thing that I like about this backyard is that
it is not large enough for him to have a
hockey rink. So that would kind of take that idea
off the table.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
Yeah she doesn't want to, dude, Yeah, she doesn't want.
Speaker 4 (31:41):
It, and you know he'd be out there alone on
his right.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
Yeah, dude, friends, you don't need a hockey rink in
your back yard. You're gonna just get hurt.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
So they they looked at all the houses, and I
forget which one they went with. I think they did
go with the Victorian. Really. Yeah, well, here's a thing.
She deserves it. She deserves it for putting up with
this guy. Let's hope she's The jobs.
Speaker 9 (32:06):
May come down to whether the house is in walking
distance to the arena or it is good for Wi
Fi it's.
Speaker 11 (32:12):
A big Decisionmber, what some of this stuff is.
Speaker 10 (32:17):
We chose this house because of the awesome Victorian style.
I think the proximity to the hockey arena was a
big selling point for Tim.
Speaker 2 (32:26):
Because look, he either needs to be close to the
hockey rink or either yard big enough so he could
put one back.
Speaker 1 (32:31):
Yeah, one of the loser. Hopefully he gets lost on
that walk.
Speaker 13 (32:35):
You know, I'm glad she got what she wanted because
she's going to get it in the divorce anyways.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
No, yep, exactly. But yeah, house hunters man, every once
in a while you get a really good ware.
Speaker 9 (32:47):
The first thing I want to show you is this
bath math Yeah wait, this is like a party bathroom
of the tile.
Speaker 5 (32:56):
Oh wow, a whole other kitchen.
Speaker 2 (32:59):
Deafe needed to.
Speaker 5 (33:01):
Be more hush.
Speaker 3 (33:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
I grabbed them, friend, and and as I'm running back,
they're paging my name. It's just a show, okay, So
I need to kind of set you up. And we're
asking the audience. We're asking you to let us know
where you come down on this big debate. We're talking about,
(33:26):
you know, MENACE's walk that he did forty some miles right,
And then we talked about the guy who walked the
equivalent of the you know, the equator or whatever, the
diameter whatever the earth come for Thank you, Gina. Well
you know what I mean. Like we were talking around
the place, somebody said, oh, like Forrest Gump. Well, just
(33:47):
that mention of Forrest Gumb's got everybody debating on when
Jenny in the movie got AIDS.
Speaker 1 (33:53):
Yeah, so.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
Did she. We're trying to figure out the timeline of
Jenny's AIDS and there eat it and people want to like, wait,
what do you guys talk about like during commercial breaks
or in music plays or whatever. We're debating on when
Jenny and Forrest Gump got AIDS? Was it before or
after Little Forrest was born?
Speaker 6 (34:13):
Yeah, which I think it's obvious it must have been before.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
But wouldn't little Forest have AIDS? Yeah, he wouldn't. Then
wouldn't have to have AIDS obviously after because she was
saying the way that Sammy said it was like, oh,
it would be impossible. And I'm like why, like why
couldn't she have gotten the AIDS after she had Little Forest?
Speaker 5 (34:31):
Because those weren't her wore days.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
And so yeah, do you know that?
Speaker 13 (34:35):
And and her intention well says that and her intention
was to move back with Forrest so she could die basically,
you know, take tickets.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
But what does that have to do with when she
got the AIDS.
Speaker 1 (34:45):
Well, to me, it was before, because she tells him
in the.
Speaker 2 (34:47):
Park, like before she had the baby. No, I think
that's what we're trying to figure out.
Speaker 5 (34:52):
She says, I'm sick, I have a virus.
Speaker 7 (34:55):
But you're trying to decide if the baby was born
yet when she got the.
Speaker 5 (34:59):
AIDS, right, which he must have been.
Speaker 6 (35:02):
He she must have already had AIDS and then the
baby was born. What are we talking about saying that
she had a baby and then got AIDS because she
was still horing it up.
Speaker 2 (35:12):
I don't think.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
She did not do drugs or have sex with anybody
after she.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
Had assuming that, why like, why would she have had
to been a whore to get the AIDS.
Speaker 8 (35:28):
I guess she couldn't.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
She just hooked up with the wrong person.
Speaker 7 (35:31):
Yeah, but the whole movie shows that she only makes
bad decisions until she makes one good decision, right, So
I think in the bad decisions was probably getting the AIDS.
Speaker 5 (35:41):
Okay, but I'm with Samuel.
Speaker 6 (35:43):
But then, also, wouldn't Forrest have AIDS because that would
mean that she already had the AIDS when she had
sex with four.
Speaker 5 (35:51):
Maybe it's possible, but since they.
Speaker 2 (35:52):
Were you're not guaranteed to get it.
Speaker 5 (35:54):
And also since they're.
Speaker 7 (35:55):
Just calling it the virus and they don't really know
what it is, maybe they hadn't tested Little Forest yet.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
Said Jenny ran a train with the Black Panthers and
got the AIDS there.
Speaker 5 (36:03):
She basically did.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
With the Black Panthers.
Speaker 5 (36:05):
She basically did do that.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
Yeah, but it also could have been those dirty Hippi
when they're getting on the bus. Yes, yeah, because that
was a long bus ride. You don't know what was
going on in that bus.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
Okay. So Internet says that you would get HIV ten
to fifteen years before you would have full blown AIDS
and die. So I guess Sammy's terry is correct because
it was.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
How old was kindergarten? First grade?
Speaker 5 (36:32):
Yeah? Little major lawsmon.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
It is a movie.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
But well, but if you're going with like actual facts,
she had to have had it before.
Speaker 7 (36:45):
And again, like I thought, that was just the whole
point that when she became a boring diner waitress, she
didn't do anything or section anything.
Speaker 13 (36:51):
I was gonna say, someone just texted from the four
to four when Lennard Skinner was playing, and she almost
jumped off the hotel back and that's what.
Speaker 2 (36:58):
She got it.
Speaker 1 (36:58):
Yeah, maybe, I mean she had a sketchy past.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
I mean, yeah, she was stripping, Yeah, guitar playing.
Speaker 1 (37:05):
Yeah, i'mnderstanding she was a slut.
Speaker 6 (37:06):
But it's reasonable to believe that that was the time
period that she would have got It doesn't really make
sense for after that.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
I'm hoping little Forrest didn't catch astray. You know, what's
the what's the meme?
Speaker 7 (37:23):
Like Gina, when somebody says, like, whenever I go to
a parent teacher conference, I always ask the teacher like
Forrest Gump?
Speaker 5 (37:31):
Is he normal?
Speaker 2 (37:32):
Or is he like me? So you wonder what we
talked about her? But what makes me laugh about it. Uh,
And what's so random is the serious intensity with which
these conversations are had.
Speaker 5 (37:50):
You know, everything has to be a heated debate.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
No, no, no, because you're forgetting it's a movie. Yeah,
at what point in the timeline, Jenny get aids, is
what we're This is what we're like arguing over.
Speaker 4 (38:03):
I have to do a rewatch. I don't remember.
Speaker 5 (38:05):
We just watched it the other night.
Speaker 2 (38:06):
The kid love that movie says, Uh, you can become
infected and have full blown AIDS almost simultaneously. It just
depends on the virus that you caught, the mutation of it,
and your health.
Speaker 6 (38:16):
But would it automatically be passed down to little forests?
Speaker 1 (38:19):
Well, they stay with modern day medicine, they can reduce
it down to a modern day dude.
Speaker 5 (38:27):
Do you guys want to hear a crazy fact that
I just looked up because I said in the book,
when did Jenny get AIDS?
Speaker 7 (38:32):
And guess what the answer is. In the original Forrest
Gump novel, Jenny never gets AIDS.
Speaker 5 (38:38):
She gets HEPSI.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
Oh maybe just assuming.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (38:43):
In the actual novel, like he meets like a giant,
he goes to space. It's like way different than the movie.
Speaker 4 (38:49):
Really.
Speaker 5 (38:49):
Yeahah, but it says in that.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
You read a book, No, I I watched it. The
lead here we can all agree. We can all like Greece.
Speaker 13 (39:00):
She's a gold digger though, because she went back because
she knew he was rich.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
But forgot that shrimp money.
Speaker 5 (39:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (39:07):
Okay, So in the nineteen eighties, the risk of the
baby getting AIDS or HIV was twenty five to thirty percent,
still more likely than he did. But now modern day
they got it down to one percent.
Speaker 7 (39:19):
Okay, okay, and apparently it was late stage HIV, so
get it right, okay according to Google.
Speaker 2 (39:25):
All right, yeah, well now that we now we figured
that out.
Speaker 5 (39:29):
Yeah, a little forward to seat, it looks like.
Speaker 2 (39:33):
Yeah, I mean, who knows where she got it. I
mean maybe it wasn't even from slutting. Maybe it was
from a toilet seat, or we don't know.
Speaker 5 (39:41):
We're looking at somebody the wrong way.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
Yeah, eight seven seven forty four text us over to
two two nine eighty seven more. What he shows, not
what you come back. It's not before everybody. Yeah, what
are you like? Probably you have to try it on.
You have to tell that silent. They show reading a
(40:04):
story about this dude. Fifty one year old guy in
Florida busted for banging a vacuum cleaner. Oh wow, yeah,
this is a report. He was naked from the waist
down and quote, pleasuring himself with a vacuum in broad daylight.
It happened, yeah, right outside somebody's house. The dude. Yeah.
(40:25):
The dude continued to bang the handheld section of the
vacuum before then completing his business by using a different
attachment to suction on his balls.
Speaker 4 (40:33):
Oh my god, that would be that would cause so
much damage, hurt.
Speaker 2 (40:39):
Yes, well, it depends. I mean, if it's a dice
in it doesn't suck that hard, it's a lot of suction,
it would be very mild.
Speaker 1 (40:46):
It must not be a shark.
Speaker 2 (40:49):
He had his day in court. He was given twelve
months probation, a two hundred and seventy dollars fine, and
he was ordered to undergo a much needed psycho sexual evaluation.
Psycho sexual you well sexual? Hell? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (41:04):
Not once?
Speaker 2 (41:05):
What I think I'm gonna try that? God, I mean
that there's got to be drugs or something involved. Oh
my god.
Speaker 7 (41:10):
But if you had the attachment and it was on,
like if you could control the setting on your vacuum,
you wouldn't try it.
Speaker 2 (41:16):
No, no, because it's just a constant suction, right, Ye,
there's no there's no emotion, there's no different like what
like what would be stimulating about just straight?
Speaker 1 (41:25):
I don't know, right, what about it?
Speaker 2 (41:27):
Like a really thick milkshake? Right do you think about
just like you never you're trying to get some milkshake
out of that straw? Like, yeah, there's nothing that wouldn't
do anything, but if you turn it on and off
real fast, m it could work.
Speaker 5 (41:41):
Speaking of that, it's so funny.
Speaker 7 (41:42):
I don't know if I'm the only one who's Actually
Morgan's probably had this on her feed because our feeds
are generally the same. But there are women on Instagram
that all they say is, ladies, do you prefer.
Speaker 5 (41:53):
Whey or do you like whey?
Speaker 1 (41:58):
Or do you like.
Speaker 2 (42:00):
And these are yeah, yeah, it's a different settings on
the Oh my god, I was laughing. On the devices.
One goes.
Speaker 5 (42:13):
You don't know what she's talking about.
Speaker 8 (42:15):
You're like whatever, But if you pick up on it,
you pick up on it.
Speaker 4 (42:19):
So what's the answer, Gina.
Speaker 2 (42:21):
I don't think anyone likes the one that ramps up,
the one like morrise code.
Speaker 5 (42:26):
Yeah, why would that? Why would that work?
Speaker 2 (42:30):
Well, it's like Greg has said for years, and he's
he's been trying to educate the ladies, steady pace, steady pace,
consistent pressure, steady pace, Like you don't want to go
for dude, steady pressure, that's that's you know, And.
Speaker 5 (42:45):
Are we talking about for women?
Speaker 2 (42:46):
No? No, no, no, well for men for giving him a
mouth party, Greg says, ladies, you want steady pace.
Speaker 4 (42:54):
Once you get pressure, once you get into that motion
where it's just going great, don't mix it up and
like look up and stop and feel all like try
to be all seductive.
Speaker 2 (43:04):
Try to you know.
Speaker 5 (43:06):
I think it's the same thing for dudes, Like, once
you notice things are going well, keep doing what you're doing.
Don't get all crazy and for everything off track.
Speaker 2 (43:15):
Don't don't switch it out unless you're filming it.
Speaker 4 (43:17):
Then you want to get like right, yeah, and make
it a little flare, Yeah, a little flair.
Speaker 2 (43:22):
But I can't imagine somebody in you know, like without
drugs or alcohol or something, thinking that's a good idea,
especially out in public in front of someone's house.
Speaker 5 (43:31):
Okay, that I don't get.
Speaker 7 (43:32):
But if you're like a teenage boy and you're supposed
to be vacuuming that day, you don't think about it.
Speaker 2 (43:36):
Well. I do remember a conversation that my friends and
I had when we were kids, because it was when
we were first learning about like you know, people quote
sucking it and whatever. And somebody said, well, wouldn't like
wouldn't a vacuum cleaner like a like a one of
those canister vacs or whatever question. I'm sure. I mean,
you know, I'm sure, kids, we didn't. We never tried
(43:56):
at least my friends never said anything about trying it.
I certainly never tried it. It just didn't seem like a
clean idea.
Speaker 4 (44:03):
Yeah, that's true, you know, like you're gonna put your
but to be totally Gina, Yes, if I was a
young teen, I would probably have considered it if we
didn't have a standard upright vacuum.
Speaker 2 (44:16):
And we never had the poor young trying that with
like a regular standard vacuum, like flipping it onto the
girls and then putting putting themselves in there and just
getting all chewed up up, like almost like trying to
vacuum up a shoelace, and just like burns the engine
of the permanent damage, it burns the manner of the vacuum.
Yet that because that was the belt that would turn
(44:37):
the awful.
Speaker 5 (44:38):
With those bags you had to dump.
Speaker 4 (44:41):
And then you had thre to pull out.
Speaker 1 (44:43):
Of the ranking.
Speaker 5 (44:44):
I remember it, well, awful.
Speaker 2 (44:47):
But what is the answer then, Gina.
Speaker 5 (44:49):
Well, I don't know, I think it. I don't think
it's always the same.
Speaker 2 (44:51):
Okay, that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (44:53):
I know which one does not which nobody it's the
one that sounds like a sprinkler.
Speaker 4 (44:57):
That's what that sounded like a sprinkler.
Speaker 5 (45:01):
Nobody like that one.
Speaker 2 (45:02):
Yeah, eight seven seven forty four Wooding, you can text
us with what you got over to two two nine
eight seven Greg and more of his random thoughts, especially
lately because of a couple of celebrity deaths. Yeah, so
we bring we bring this up from time to time
(45:23):
because Greg, I mean, he lives in his head, like
hear about people that say that, like, dude, I live
in my head. Twenty four to seven. Greg is constantly
wondering about the strange of stuff, whether it's you know,
the shrimp. We've talked about that before, like aren't aren't
we going to run out of shrimp?
Speaker 4 (45:39):
I've transferred that fear to chicken. Chicken, like we're going
to over chicken people.
Speaker 5 (45:45):
Are we?
Speaker 4 (45:45):
Yeah? Dude, I mean I know they raise him by
you know, yeah by the time.
Speaker 2 (45:49):
Have you ever seen a chicken farm? Yeah? Chicken, it's awful,
but yeah, god, we have so much chicken everywhere. So
random thoughts with Greg. He has a couple of ship
One I told him, as you've got to share that
that's too weird.
Speaker 4 (46:04):
It's creepy.
Speaker 2 (46:05):
And it was after a celebrity death that that just happened.
I was like, that's what you're thinking about right now?
He goes, Yeah, I can't stop thinking about it.
Speaker 4 (46:12):
And then I thought about it again because there was another.
Speaker 2 (46:14):
Celebrity now, all right, So yeah, give us a call,
text in, find us, follow us on social media, look
for us there at the Woody Show. We'll take the
break and we'll come back and Greg will share what's
going on in there. All right, Time to open up
(46:37):
that vault and take a peek inside Greg's very interesting mind.
Speaker 4 (46:44):
It's just some of it is dark.
Speaker 2 (46:46):
Some of it's dark, some of it's a lot of
it's just random. And the things that come to mind
for Greg, like he just he'll he'll sit with it. Man.
Speaker 4 (46:56):
Yeah, there's a lot of stuff that I think about
that could easily answered or researched or figured out. But
I almost enjoy not knowing, which is weird because a
lot of stuff that drives people crazy for the most
part is not understanding or not knowing why. Like if
you have an upstairs neighbor that makes a ton of
noise all the time, This happens to me in hotels
(47:18):
or when I lived in an apartment and my upstairs
neighbors would go in and out the door, up and close, open, close,
up and close all day damn long. I just it
drove me crazy because the noise. But what drove me
more crazy is what are you doing?
Speaker 1 (47:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (47:33):
You have to know walks.
Speaker 4 (47:35):
Around this much? Who goes in and out the door
that much? Not knowing is what drives you crazy. So
a lot of the stuff I think about I could
probably find out the answer to. Yeah, But there's a
bit of it that's kind of I would rather just
wonder about, or.
Speaker 2 (47:47):
Some of just the random, nonsensical things that you get
to everyone's. And this is where Greg starts talking about
like a I have the hardest time sleeping. It's because
his mind's never at rest right like your. Your mind
is always going and so therefore that you can't, like
one example, and I can't chill.
Speaker 4 (48:02):
I think I've brought it up before, maybe even recently,
And I'm sure I could ask an optometrist. But when
you see a baby with glasses, they can't do the
whole Which one looks better one or two? How do
you know what glasses to give a baby.
Speaker 1 (48:17):
I know, And then why are you asking me questions
as an adult if you can do it with the
baby all answers.
Speaker 4 (48:23):
There's there's another layer to the question why are you
asking me? Because there was my most recent eye test.
I looked at a thing and it saw what I
was seeing. It was a hot air balloon carton, and
then it went like and it made it clear.
Speaker 2 (48:37):
Does a bunch of adjustments, and then it's able to
give the optometrists something like a like a baseline to
go off, so then they can go and put whatever
that code is into their flippy lens thing and then
dial it in from there. That was such a trick,
So maybe that's how that's.
Speaker 5 (48:56):
Focused.
Speaker 4 (48:57):
Yeah, so maybe that's what they do.
Speaker 2 (48:59):
With the baby.
Speaker 4 (49:00):
For the baby, I'm always wonder Now I'm going to
wonder what menace followed it up with? Why do they
ask us?
Speaker 2 (49:04):
Then? But how do they know what dogs think and
feel and what they can see?
Speaker 5 (49:09):
What they always It burdens me to think about how
we know that.
Speaker 4 (49:13):
It's so bizarre, so bizarre.
Speaker 2 (49:16):
I'm sure it's through physiology and rods and cone.
Speaker 5 (49:19):
How do we see gray or whatever?
Speaker 4 (49:21):
Right? But the reason I went down this weird rabbit
hole was I believe it was last week when the
singer Bonnie Tyler died. Yeah, and then recently actor Sam
Neil died. And right as these stories break, people are posting, oh,
Bonnie Tyler died, total eclipse of the heart. Oh Sam
Neil died. Remember Jurassic Park? And my brain goes to
(49:44):
and this is where it gets dark. Whoa Right now
Sam Neil is in a morgue and he's a dead body.
And when Bonnie Tyler died, we're all getting to work
that morning and we're looking at going over the news like, oh,
Bonnie Tyler died, and and people are oh, remember that
song and remember this remember in the eighties you did
this you know tour, And I'm thinking, oh my god,
(50:08):
Bonnie Tyler right now is lying on a cold table.
Speaker 2 (50:13):
Yeah, and Greg has a dead body, like what soheard
him again?
Speaker 4 (50:20):
And isn't that weird when the world is reading about
a celebrity death in real life they're a dead body
right now?
Speaker 5 (50:28):
Well it's kind of interesting.
Speaker 7 (50:29):
So basically what you're saying is we start going into
the past and you stay solidly in the presence right now.
Speaker 2 (50:36):
Yeah, very weird, very weird.
Speaker 4 (50:39):
It's strange. And then oh, and then you have these
really invasive thoughts about when somebody you know, this is
so dark, when somebody you know it dies, right, do
you ever think and and they haven't been cremated, they've
been buried, And then you think timeline like, oh it's
been three months.
Speaker 2 (51:00):
God, I wonder what they look like. I don't.
Speaker 4 (51:04):
I try not to, but that's what keeps me up
at night. Okay, A lighter note, Okay, I may have
brought this up in the past, but I could probably
get an answer if somebody would text in. Do hand
models go on auditions? How do you get a hand
model job?
Speaker 1 (51:19):
Like?
Speaker 5 (51:19):
How do you break into that industry?
Speaker 4 (51:21):
And then is there like America's number one hand model
is there? Is there somebody who's better at it than
somebody else?
Speaker 5 (51:28):
How do you audition for that baby baby soft skins?
Speaker 4 (51:32):
Or do you just get a call from your agent
and say, hey, now, what the Jean shampoo needs you today?
Speaker 2 (51:37):
What did you see that started that thought?
Speaker 4 (51:40):
Probably a billboard something like that, just you know, or something.
Speaker 7 (51:46):
I don't know if you guys remember this, but I
always think of those old country crock butter commercials because
it's just the butter with your answer.
Speaker 5 (51:52):
No, no, no, and like hitting.
Speaker 8 (51:54):
His hands, just the hand.
Speaker 2 (51:55):
That's an old old that.
Speaker 5 (51:56):
Was the first time. How do you get that job?
Speaker 4 (51:58):
How do you get that job? Is that your only job?
How much money do you make?
Speaker 2 (52:02):
Did you try out for that?
Speaker 4 (52:04):
Did you grow up wanting to do that?
Speaker 2 (52:06):
How does that work?
Speaker 5 (52:07):
Are your hands insured?
Speaker 3 (52:09):
Right?
Speaker 4 (52:10):
Super super interesting. We talked about dry cleaning the other
day and I realized I could probably figure out what
dry cleaning is. I don't get it.
Speaker 2 (52:19):
Yeah, do they dip it in powder? What are they?
What like a dry shampoo?
Speaker 5 (52:25):
Yeah, like dry spray, which.
Speaker 2 (52:26):
I didn't even I didn't even know that was the thing.
And oh, I'm doing something and I go, what do
you do? And she goes, oh, it's a dry as
a dry shampoo.
Speaker 6 (52:34):
It's basically a baby powder best. I mean, it came
around probably the last like twenty years. It's fairly new.
Speaker 2 (52:39):
But I don't think that would make your hair more
gross instead of washing your hair.
Speaker 5 (52:42):
Yeah, it's basically like a spray Talco, like a baby pray. Yeah,
and it's just powder. It just absorbs the grease.
Speaker 9 (52:49):
Right.
Speaker 5 (52:49):
It doesn't look great.
Speaker 2 (52:50):
Then what do you do with the You leave it in.
Speaker 7 (52:52):
Yeah, you just kind of rub it in with your
fingers and it feels kind of gross and yummy, but
it won't.
Speaker 5 (52:58):
Look greasy, right, you just brush it out. It's not
my favorite. I love it.
Speaker 2 (53:03):
It sounds like your head would be more gross.
Speaker 5 (53:07):
It absorbs the No, it's less greasy.
Speaker 2 (53:09):
All chicks are weird.
Speaker 5 (53:11):
Yeah, and it always smells like way over perfumed.
Speaker 1 (53:14):
And going back to the the dry cleaning thing. What
I've been using a lot lately with travel is that
spray for wrinkles.
Speaker 2 (53:23):
You's, dude.
Speaker 1 (53:29):
You spray it on your shirt that's all wrinkled, and
then you kind of like stretch it. You stretch it
out and it becomes like just like you ironed.
Speaker 4 (53:37):
And yeah, so you do iron it afterwards.
Speaker 6 (53:41):
You stretch it out and then you kind of just
do like a flat on your with it.
Speaker 5 (53:45):
Yeah, you brush it with your hand.
Speaker 1 (53:47):
That's cool.
Speaker 2 (53:49):
It works and smells great. I have a confession. You're
gonna be really mad for what do you show prom
the white dress shirt that goes underneath the suit. It
was wrink didn't feel like ironing it, so I hung
it up in the bathroom and closed the door and
put the shower on really hot, and I left it
in there for about fifteen minutes. Oh, let the shower. Yeah,
(54:10):
and it worked. It did work.
Speaker 4 (54:12):
Oh yeah, I'll take a shirt and if we have
an event and we have to dress up, I will
do the shirt in the bathroom thing while I shower.
Speaker 2 (54:20):
But I don't know. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (54:20):
If it does, I'll leave it for like forty five minutes.
Speaker 4 (54:23):
Okay, so Greg's that same day, Woody. My shirt did
have to be ironed. I only ironed the parts that
you could see, because that's the other thing. I don't
get ironing like you flip it over if there's even
a slight crease. All you do is iron a crease
into it.
Speaker 5 (54:37):
And Sammy, I'm sure you've done this before.
Speaker 7 (54:39):
And a panch and an emergency, I'll take my flat
iron for my hair and run it across the shirt.
Speaker 6 (54:45):
I have not done that work, but they do make
those now irons for clothes that look like a flat iron.
Speaker 5 (54:51):
You just go right across.
Speaker 4 (54:52):
That makes sense.
Speaker 2 (54:53):
It's got to be cool to have one of those
handheld steamer things. I have one. It's like a hook.
There's a little tank in the bottom. It's got that
looks like a back QM hose and the little like
those words.
Speaker 5 (55:02):
Vacuum my favorite wedding presence that works.
Speaker 2 (55:05):
Yeah, that's pretty good, I Greg, I looked it up.
Despite the name, dry cleaning isn't actually dry. Clothes are
cleaned and a liquid solvent instead of water. This is
especially useful for fabric fabrics like wool, silk, rayon, structured
garments that can shrink, stretch, or lose their shape. So
the cleaner checks the garment for stains, lose buttons, tears,
and blah blah blah blah blah. Different stains oil, wine,
(55:26):
and conca are treated with different spotting chemicals before the
main cleaning. The clothes are then placed in a machine
that looks much like a washing machine, because I've seen
those at dry cleaners where you see the things like, well,
is that for in case somebody brings their actual laundry
and no, no though, So instead of water and detergent,
the machine uses a cleaning solvent.
Speaker 5 (55:44):
So it's literally just waterless, but it doesn't mean it's dry.
Speaker 2 (55:46):
Modern cleaners are often used hydro carbon solvents or blah
blah blah blah blah through a coordinated solvent okay, and
then the solvent dissolves the oils in the grease very
effectively while being gentler on the main on the many
fabrics in the water, or then water would be okay, yeah.
Speaker 4 (56:04):
Okay, so okay, I think you nailed it, Gina.
Speaker 2 (56:06):
It's not dry water water waterless. So the solivan still chemicals.
Solivan is drained from the clothes. Warm air circulates through
the drum, evaporating any remaining sullivan.
Speaker 5 (56:20):
Yeah I didn't know that.
Speaker 2 (56:21):
Yeah. The evaporated sullivan is captured, condensed back into liquid,
and recycled rather than releasing it into the air.
Speaker 5 (56:30):
Way cooler than I thought.
Speaker 2 (56:31):
It was literally crossing dry cleaning off. Had no idea.
And that's a little peak inside gregs Frings.
Speaker 4 (56:38):
Could I do one more? Yes, I have this cabinet
where I have all these different salt shakers. I told
you I'm the Sultan pmper shakers. How stupid, But I
was wondering some of these salt shakers. I've had salt
in there for ten years because you know, Christmas, you
take out the Christmas salt shaker and then whatever do
salt go back?
Speaker 8 (56:57):
I don't think so, no, I don't think think all right,
somebody the text menace.
Speaker 2 (57:02):
You mentioned the wrinkle spray, but brand is it? I've
seen a couple. There's a there's a bounce and then
there's a downy like.
Speaker 5 (57:08):
The wrinkle release.
Speaker 1 (57:09):
I know it has a blue and green.
Speaker 2 (57:10):
Label and blue and green label.
Speaker 4 (57:13):
Didn't you say wrinkle rid? Is that what it's called.
Speaker 2 (57:16):
It's a wrinkle release. Wrinkle has a I know? Is
it that?
Speaker 1 (57:21):
No?
Speaker 2 (57:22):
No?
Speaker 5 (57:23):
Is it downy that one?
Speaker 2 (57:26):
But it's the can version right like this this one here?
Speaker 1 (57:29):
No, wait, no, I think maybe the one on the top.
Speaker 2 (57:32):
Yeah, it's it's downy, downy wrinkle Releaser.
Speaker 5 (57:35):
It says crisp linen and green.
Speaker 2 (57:37):
It's in the can.
Speaker 5 (57:38):
This is the bottle.
Speaker 1 (57:40):
Yeah, let us know, Okay, not that one.
Speaker 2 (57:46):
So sports with the gee Jeff, all right, Jeff g
what's happening in sports? Alright?
Speaker 13 (57:54):
Let's start with the World Cup. Spain shut down Francis
offense yesterday one to nail. Today, Argentina and England play
at noon to see who will face Spain on Sunday
in The final MLB All Star Game was last night
and it was boring af unless I guess you'd like
pitchers duels. I mean it's cool to an extent, but
I want to see some offense. Three out of the
four runs were scored in the first inning and then
(58:15):
basically nothing after that until like the eighth. By the way,
I shout out to the Dodgers Justin rod Leski. He
had five k's and two innings. He did give up
one home run though. NBA Summer League action from last night,
Lakers beat the Clippers by fourteen. Lakers looked like they
got the steal of the draft though with Cameron Carr.
He had another twenty three points last night. He has
turned out to be a great player and I can't
(58:36):
wait to watch him more of this season. WNBA Sparks
and Links tonight. Also tonight twenty twenty six. SP's anybody
gonna watch?
Speaker 2 (58:44):
Anybody cares Award shows?
Speaker 1 (58:47):
Man, Yeah, it's not the worst one.
Speaker 13 (58:49):
I mean, I love sports, so I like reliving all
those moments that they showed throughout the year.
Speaker 2 (58:53):
But we'll see Marcel fine hearing who wins from award shows.
But it's like the watching to watch watching these uh,
these award shows are just I'm with you.
Speaker 13 (59:03):
Marcelo Hernandez from SNL will be hosting That's again five
o'clock on ESPN. I'm if I'm Jeff G and that's
your So Cal.
Speaker 2 (59:10):
Sports all right, very much, Jeff je.
Speaker 4 (59:14):
I found myself recently telling myself in my head, God,
you're really happy, Like I'm just really happy with so
I'm stoked that I'm happy. I'm stoked of how my
life is going. So yeah, overall, for sure, there's elements
of my life are complete shame. But the Woody Show, all, babe, shame.
(59:41):
That's yeah, all right, welcome back.
Speaker 2 (59:48):
It is the Woody Show. You see, Uh, Howard Stern
is going down to one workday a week. Nice, my father.
Really it's like city council members, totally. Yeah, yeah, it's
heard about that. Yeah, just too much. We're gonna meet
once a week. But if you're Howard Stern, you got
(01:00:10):
a billion dollars, why even bother with the one day?
Speaker 5 (01:00:14):
Because actually, yeah, he loves his work.
Speaker 2 (01:00:17):
And then he do you if it's only one day
a week, how much do you love it?
Speaker 7 (01:00:21):
But it's all he knows, you know, he's been doing
this for what sixty years?
Speaker 2 (01:00:25):
Yeah, but is it one of those just rip the
band aid off and do it like, why even bother
with the one day a week I mean his identity. Yeah,
they let it go about a dozen people on staff.
I'm not sure who it is. If you're a Howard
Stern fan, you know a lot of the fans are
trying to figure out who. But I don't know. I
mean good for him, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:00:48):
I'm thinking he's just gonna do uh a celebrity interview
once a week, yeah, and all fun with that.
Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
He's a great interviewer, yeah yeah, but dude, one day
a week. Yeah, I saw that in the news. That
sounds pretty great.
Speaker 4 (01:01:01):
Don't you think he's a great interviewer because he himself
is an A lister. It's so much easier for a
fellow A lister to just sit and chat with an
A list.
Speaker 2 (01:01:10):
But it hasn't always been that way true, and he
was a great interviewer back then.
Speaker 4 (01:01:15):
Okay, I think it helps his interview subjects give him
a lot of leeways.
Speaker 2 (01:01:19):
Some people just have a knack for it, you know,
like our friend Striker. Yeah, Striker can talk to any band,
no matter how lame they are. Truth. And when I
say that, I mean, like for me personally, like, I
have zero interest in that band. I don't like their music.
I don't I don't know who they are at Also,
they're complete strangers, and yet when Striker talks to them,
(01:01:42):
I find myself going like, oh, I think he does
a really good job. He makes it interesting.
Speaker 1 (01:01:47):
But I also think he has a benefit of being
in our industry so long and being really well known
in that scene, Like with his stuff with Tom DeLong
just recently and that popped off. It was really really good.
But I think Tom knows Striker for a very very
long time, so he's willing to share more, which goes
with the Howard the Howard thing or you know, being
(01:02:09):
a celebrity. Like I've been really into the Benny Blanco
podcast recently because Yeah, he's getting like famous people to
share stuff that they wouldn't not share if they just
came into the Witty show. They're just gonna go through.
They're just gonna go through their bullet points and that's it.
Speaker 2 (01:02:25):
Like if it's somebody we don't know, but it's a name,
like a famous person, the only reason they're doing a
show like this is because they have to m M
right to promote because they're not super psyched about or
the company studio whoever not super psyched about the project,
that they need to slum it and just go anywhere
and everywhere who will talk to them, And which is
(01:02:45):
why we get all those rules about this is what
you can ask about, this is what you can't ask about, right,
and it just becomes a little infomercial for whatever it is.
Which is why ninety nine point seven percent of the
time I always say no to that stuff because I
don't I'm not necessarily interested to begin with. But then
also I know when they come in here, it's just
going to be a sales but we can't ask or
(01:03:07):
talk about any things that knowing this person, that we
want to ask them about, or that you the listener
would be interested in, because they're not going to talk
to us that way.
Speaker 1 (01:03:15):
But that's the challenge, how to make it interesting.
Speaker 8 (01:03:17):
Right, And that's what Howard Stern was in the position
he was in twenty five years ago when he was
just talking to porn stars or whatever, and people would
not go on his show because they knew he was
going to ask inappropriate questions.
Speaker 2 (01:03:27):
And he he broke through.
Speaker 8 (01:03:29):
So maybe he just be like that, yeah, just do
that and just break through, break through.
Speaker 2 (01:03:34):
God, but imagine just like one day, all that time,
all that money, why I can get into stuff like
painting and photography, chess and yeah, exactly, good for him,
Good for him. He can say. Anybody could say what
they want about Howard, but you can't deny the impact
and the success that the that the guys had. So
congrats to him. We got a brand new redneck news.
(01:03:56):
So if you've got more dogs than take, that's very
big news. And today's redneck news. This is from Hall County, Georgia,
where the police they showed up to this house with
a warrant belonging to this couple, Adam and Brittany Hollis.
They searched the house and the only person they could
(01:04:17):
find in the house was their underage child. Now, where
was mom and dad.
Speaker 5 (01:04:21):
At a church study there at the casino.
Speaker 2 (01:04:25):
No, they heard some noises coming from the backyard and
that's where they found Adam and Brittany in a shed.
They had locked themselves in there and they were refusing
to come out. Now, Brittany did her part. She tried to,
you know, distract them as much as possible because they
were busy in there doing stuff. So eventually the cops.
They got the door open, they went in and as
(01:04:46):
soon as they got that door open, here comes the husband, Adam,
at the cops with a chainsaw, a running chainsaw. Nobody
was hurt because they did warn them that, hey man,
we're gonna put a few holes in your body that
you don't want if you don't drop that. So he
did the right thing. He drops the chainsaw and they
put him in cuffs. Turns out they knew the cops
were coming, so they were in the shed trying to
(01:05:08):
burn all the meth and any evidence they had on them,
any toaster of it, oh god, And they did have
a bunch of stuff, meth, pills weed. Also, according to
the police report, the house had no power. All the floors,
including the kid's bedroom, were covered in excrement.
Speaker 5 (01:05:25):
So there was only power to the toaster in the shed.
Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
Yeah. So they were both hit with a list of
charges and taking the jail. Here as their muff shots.
Speaker 5 (01:05:32):
Right there clean a little yeah, okay.
Speaker 2 (01:05:35):
But there he goes from Hall County, Georgia. That is
Adam and Britney Hollis, who met the cops with a
chainsaw after a brief standoff in the backyard shed where
they were burning meth and a toaster, and that is
today's red Nick. We're gonna take a quick break. We
(01:05:57):
will come back and then after the break some more
woody show, including around it the Craigslist price is right, Yeah, yeah,
so uh we'll have that after the break more Woody show,
hang out, the show will be right back. She's like,
my squirrel died, so I'm hugging her.
Speaker 6 (01:06:16):
Then I noticed she's clutching a trash bag that has
a squirrel in it.
Speaker 2 (01:06:25):
Yes, the dead squirrel story, I p Yeah. What's that
neighbor going to do now that Sammy doesn't even live
there anymore?
Speaker 1 (01:06:33):
Well, I don't even know if Sammy told the neighbor
that she's did yet she intentionally didn't.
Speaker 2 (01:06:37):
Yeah, the next time there's a body of the barrier,
I s'll find out when she knocks on the door.
Speaker 1 (01:06:41):
We'll read about that lady being dead in the news
or something.
Speaker 2 (01:06:45):
Yeah, did you tell her, Sammy? I can't remember.
Speaker 5 (01:06:47):
No, I haven't told her yet. I know I needed
I needed.
Speaker 2 (01:06:50):
To going back turned you turned the keys in everything? Yes,
you're not going back there?
Speaker 6 (01:06:56):
No, I know I need to let her know so
she doesn't come knock on the door again in a
panic for or something, thinking it's gonna be me and
I'm not.
Speaker 2 (01:07:02):
There else can handle it?
Speaker 5 (01:07:04):
The new neighbor, I mean it's me.
Speaker 2 (01:07:06):
She checks me on holidays and stuff. I know I needed.
Speaker 1 (01:07:11):
Eight.
Speaker 2 (01:07:13):

do you think it's being sold for on Craigslist? You

perfect I don't think we have? Well, Peter, congratulations, that's
how I done.
Speaker 1 (01:19:18):
So.
Speaker 2 (01:19:18):
I'm seeing AI news every single day. There's nothing new
out there. I just saw there's a bunch of companies
I guess who are re hiring employees whose jobs they
were trying to, you know, get by with AI, and
now they're rehiring them because the're realizing that the AI
is more expensive than keeping the employees. Yeah, yeah, saying
(01:19:39):
I'll have one there. I don't I don't know the
ins and outs of.
Speaker 1 (01:19:41):
That, but yeah, you have to buy these things called
like tokens basically, and uh to use the AI, and
you have a certain amount, and then they found out like, oh, wait,
costs way more than just actually having a human do it.
Speaker 2 (01:19:55):
That's like when everybody just said, oh, you know what
we're gonna do. It's gonna our whole marketing strategy is
just going to be through so social media. Well, then
social media is like, well, you're just not using our
platform for free, and so that's why they started throttling
everybody's reach. And they have these algorithms and even though
you have like a one hundred thousand followers, you're only
going to reach five thousand of them with your posts
because if you pay them to do it, well, then
(01:20:15):
you can reach more of the people that Yeah, but yeah,
that was just never going to be where it's just free.
Speaker 4 (01:20:20):
Yeah too easy.
Speaker 2 (01:20:22):
Yeah, way too easy. There was that story that AI
actor Tilly Norwood stories about that.
Speaker 4 (01:20:30):
As an agent and everything right.
Speaker 2 (01:20:31):
Agent, and it's going to start a new feature length
movie mostly made with AI sag after that's the Actors
Union Not Not Thrilled, strongly opposing this project, saying that
AI was built using actors performances without permission, which would
take jobs away from real actors and reduce the value
of human creativity. Now, the company making the movie, which
(01:20:52):
takes place in the Tilly Verse, a digital world in
the cloud, says it won't be made entirely by AI.
Human actors may provide motion capture. Real filmmakers will help
with the final film doesn't have a release date, but
that's what they're doing. So there's now there's now a
movie with this uh this AI actress quote unquote lovely.
Speaker 1 (01:21:14):
Actors, but this is because they can get casted just
to be you.
Speaker 8 (01:21:18):
Know, motion counture.
Speaker 1 (01:21:19):
Yeah, motion.
Speaker 7 (01:21:20):
But this is they're right, And anything written or acted
or anything, it's all just because it took an amalgamation
of everything it knows about acting, you know, from actors,
and used it.
Speaker 5 (01:21:31):
It is true.
Speaker 2 (01:21:32):
Let me let me ask you the audience a question,
because this is something that gets talked about. Would you
let's say every show that we've ever done was loaded
into AI, and AI could spit out new shows, new
conversations based on things that we've already done, things we've
(01:21:53):
already said. It knows Samy's position on things like laundry
and cheating, It knows all about Greg's crazy stuff with
butterflies now afraid of them. It knows how we would
react to everything right, and it would, like say, spit
out a show that sounded normal. Would would that be
something that you'd be interested in listening to? I could
tell you from shows that I watch and listen to
that I knowing that I wouldn't be.
Speaker 5 (01:22:15):
It's like knowing how trick is done, then you're uninterested
after you know.
Speaker 2 (01:22:18):
Yeah, like I think I think it'd be neat to
know how it was done, but as far like to
be able to sit there and I don't know, like
enjoy it as if it was that it's not real.
Speaker 4 (01:22:29):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, But it.
Speaker 8 (01:22:31):
Takes this as why I was out off board with
superhero hero movies ten plus years ago.
Speaker 2 (01:22:35):
It's like, oh, these.
Speaker 8 (01:22:36):
Are just cartoons shooting lasers at each other pretending to
be humans. I don't care.
Speaker 2 (01:22:43):
Yeah, so I don't know is that something because there
are a lot of conversations happening, I mean in all industries,
but in our industry it's all about well, you know AI,
what place does it have and our our listeners or
the audience are these is the audience interested in things?
Speaker 4 (01:23:00):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (01:23:00):
Like that our company guaranteed human meaning that you know,
not there's not any AI being used all for anything,
like I know, like our sales department. Uh, they will
put together presentations, powerpoints and things like that using you know,
different AI things things like that. Yeah, But when it
comes to the voices and the things that you hear
on the air, the music that we play and the
(01:23:23):
DJs or in this case like for us, the show,
those are real people, yeah, not AI versions of those
same people, which other companies have done. There's there's one
company in particular that has I think it's a I
Ashley if you google it, they've created an AI DJ.
Her name is Ashley, and she's been on these stations.
(01:23:46):
Well yeah, but but if you're listening, you're like, oh,
this is.
Speaker 1 (01:23:48):
Chick name Ashle because she is a real person.
Speaker 2 (01:23:51):
Well, they used they voice modeled, you know, one real person, but.
Speaker 5 (01:23:56):
Now they can make her say anything.
Speaker 2 (01:23:58):
Correct.
Speaker 1 (01:23:58):
If you throw the question out there to the general public,
they're going to say no, they're not into it until
they hear it, when they experience it. If they're just
driving to work one day and it's on and they
find whatever the content is entertaining, they're not going to care.
Speaker 7 (01:24:16):
Well, maybe I'm being naive, but I thought the real
reason people listen to radio is because of the authenticity.
Speaker 2 (01:24:22):
The human element, which it seems like that's what that's
what more people are now seeking out right.
Speaker 8 (01:24:26):
What Menace is saying is eventually you're not going to
know the difference.
Speaker 2 (01:24:30):
But that's the thing. I think, eventually then you do
know the difference because like like that that eventually comes
out like oh, this is not even a this is
not even a real person. And then and then it's over.
Speaker 8 (01:24:39):
With today's limitations that comes out. But we're not too
far off yet.
Speaker 1 (01:24:43):
There's two Instagram accounts that are artists that I'm not
even convinced that they are real.
Speaker 5 (01:24:47):
Oh I have a few of those too, were I
think people will feel super betrayed if they if they
find out.
Speaker 2 (01:24:53):
Yeah, So I had a I had I had an
idea and a thought just to test out, like, let's
see where our careers are going, uh in broadcast or
you know sometimes news what like what a what? What?
What can we have AI do? And so I turned
to our resident expert of AI creation, and that would
(01:25:16):
be Sea Bass. He knows the most about all these
programs and how to prompt them.
Speaker 8 (01:25:19):
And I am always using them because I think I
think they are super powerful for things like graphics and animation.
It's not quite there for animation.
Speaker 2 (01:25:25):
But it's real, real close. Yeah. So I said, hey,
let's do you know if we did the happy happy
story time story. Yeah, and we did it somewhat recently
where it's it's a terrible story, it's in the news,
but it's all on the presentation, right, So what if
we took this really terrible story but we read it
over really happy sounding music change. I mean, it's still
(01:25:47):
a bad story, but you know, it just kind of
takes the edge off of it. Well, just to see
what we can accomplish with AI, what if we found
another really terrible story real life stories, yeah, real life story.
And then Sea Bass was instructed like all right, So
put in the AI and let's get like a news
reporter and you come up with like all the different
prompts like reading it in a fun, energetic tone with
(01:26:10):
a Jamaican accent or whatever it would be, whatever would be,
and see what it spits out. And so you have
a couple examples.
Speaker 8 (01:26:17):
Here, this is one.
Speaker 2 (01:26:18):
This is the future. You're gonna hear the future here, guys. Again,
this is again AI voice, but real stories, real story
AI voice and delivery.
Speaker 8 (01:26:25):
This is one that wo he found and really loves.
Speaker 2 (01:26:27):
Okay, what were what were the prompts that you that
you put in there?
Speaker 8 (01:26:30):
You know, young fun like like you just said, excited, yeah,
good natured?
Speaker 2 (01:26:35):
Yes, So could could AI pull it off? We're taking
a terrible story and the delivery of it would be
you know, fun, and like like, how do you make
this fun? Let's see a.
Speaker 15 (01:26:44):
Dog famous in China for traveling around with its owner
was reportedly stolen, sold for less than thirty dollars and eaten.
Speaker 2 (01:26:52):
What I don't feel so bad? Yeah, it kind of
makes it cute.
Speaker 1 (01:26:58):
It looks like a little yeah it sounded cartoon, Yeah,
like Dora.
Speaker 15 (01:27:02):
Yeah, a dog famous in China for traveling around with
its owner was reportedly stolen, sold for less than thirty
dollars and eaten.
Speaker 2 (01:27:11):
True story by the way, Oh my god. Yeah, it
was like some influencer dog, famous dog and somebody stole it.
Speaker 8 (01:27:18):
Well, keep going, there's all that stories, all that's in there.
Speaker 2 (01:27:20):
Oh, we have more.
Speaker 15 (01:27:22):
The dog's name was Chewto and he was an eight
year old Border Collie who gained over a million followers
on China's version of TikTok called do Yin. Chuto and
his owner were famous for their journeys across China over
many years.
Speaker 2 (01:27:37):
Okay, h all right, now he's lunch.
Speaker 5 (01:27:39):
Well can you say dog meet this?
Speaker 2 (01:27:41):
What would be like the North American version of like
a really famous uh like uh like dog influencer dog Doug? Yeah, Doug,
the pug's still alive.
Speaker 1 (01:27:50):
I don't know.
Speaker 8 (01:27:51):
That's what I always think of, super Jimmy Materio.
Speaker 2 (01:27:55):
I don't know. I can't think of like a dog.
I remember, like grumpy Cat.
Speaker 1 (01:28:02):
There's a there's a famous dog we see all time,
little Pickanese or whatever. No, no, no, the husky with the
colored ears. We see them at like festivals.
Speaker 2 (01:28:12):
I saw my d c Yeah, all right, some more
here more in the story.
Speaker 15 (01:28:15):
There is no nationwide ban on eating canine meat in
China that said dogs have been excluded from the country's.
Speaker 2 (01:28:22):
Livestock I like the like the reverb.
Speaker 8 (01:28:27):
Choice, the thing that they are, and they still I
wouldn't call that a true hallucination, but it starts to
like add stuff that you didn't ask for.
Speaker 2 (01:28:34):
You still see that these days.
Speaker 15 (01:28:35):
There is no nationwide ban on eating canine meat in
China that said dogs have been excluded from the country's
livestock catalog. For six whole years. Two cities in China,
shen Zen and Zuhai, have banned the eating of dogs
and cats, but both animals are still considered a traditional
ingredient in many parts of the country.
Speaker 8 (01:28:57):
A little cultural news there, and only six years, all right.
Speaker 2 (01:29:01):
So legit question out of curiosity because I've known people
who have gotten in trouble for even alluding to, you know,
people in China eating dogs.
Speaker 8 (01:29:12):
Oh, it's it's right, It's it's ignorant and bigoted, right, But.
Speaker 2 (01:29:15):
I'm saying I think one of the hosts in our
building on the news talk station, like got in some
trouble for that. But but that's but that's a real thing,
actual that that was factually part.
Speaker 8 (01:29:30):
Of the news stories giving context to like this wasn't
just some random kidnapping. It's a tradition and culture and
a large portion.
Speaker 2 (01:29:37):
Of that country. I always thought it was like something like, Okay,
you're from West Virginia, you bang your cousin. You know,
like people throw something like that out there and it's
not necessarily a real thing. I mean, I'm sure it's
happened in West Virginia.
Speaker 7 (01:29:47):
But well, they have a oh I'm sorry, I say
they have a controversial dog meat festival in southern China,
So I think that might be what they're referring.
Speaker 5 (01:29:55):
Okay, and by the way, good news, Dug. The pugs
still very much alive.
Speaker 2 (01:29:59):
A question anybody culture?
Speaker 4 (01:30:00):
Yeah, you know, we're learning it right.
Speaker 8 (01:30:02):
We are, like my country sucks. Your dog if stolen
in China will get eaten. It's not gonna happen here.
Speaker 2 (01:30:11):
So we said. A tattoo artist invented a robotic arm
that runs by computer to do tattoos. It is a
tattoo in no time.
Speaker 5 (01:30:17):
That's really cool.
Speaker 1 (01:30:18):
Fixed Tyler.
Speaker 2 (01:30:21):
Can't get any worse. Yeah, do you have another story
here as bad news?
Speaker 8 (01:30:26):
But I think again. The power of AI will make
it palatable, all right.
Speaker 3 (01:30:30):
US citizen working for a humanitarian organization in Congo has
tested positive for the yabola virus.
Speaker 2 (01:30:38):
I hate three. It's like I would have I would
have set it back like no again.
Speaker 4 (01:30:44):
US doing Sammy?
Speaker 2 (01:30:45):
You know. Yes.
Speaker 3 (01:30:50):
Citizen working for a humanitarian organization in Congo has tested
positive for the yabola virus. The CDC said it was
working with the person's employer, US agencies, the public health authorities,
and Congolese partners to prevent further transmission of this deadly disease.
Speaker 2 (01:31:09):
It doesn't even sound. It doesn't even sound. Really, I'd
be interested to see how realistic we can get it
to sound by giving it ridiculous prompts like a like A,
like a real German accent, Like a real German news
reporter speaking English but delivering this story in.
Speaker 5 (01:31:23):
A German accent.
Speaker 1 (01:31:24):
It has hints of that Simpsons character that yeah, lfy yeah.
Speaker 16 (01:31:29):
An eighty two year old North Carolina woman fell in
her bathtub, injuring her back and leaving her stuck in
her tub.
Speaker 5 (01:31:36):
For nine days.
Speaker 16 (01:31:37):
The woman survived by learning to twist the faucet with
her foot and splash water on her face. She was
eventually found by a neighbor covered in bed sores and
is in rehab.
Speaker 2 (01:31:46):
It's a real story, so sad, like fantasy.
Speaker 8 (01:31:52):
Stuck in a tough for nine days and survived.
Speaker 2 (01:31:54):
Wow, badass.
Speaker 4 (01:31:55):
Yeah you're a big I want to hear like your
original idea like a Jamaica guy.
Speaker 2 (01:32:00):
Yeah, but like upbeat, but make it sound like a
realistic newscast. Yeah, but everything. Yeah, yeah, but yeah, not
not cartoonish, yeah, you know, not cartoonish. Uh, German guy,
he's some kind.
Speaker 5 (01:32:14):
Of dystopian like there've been a horror movie.
Speaker 2 (01:32:16):
But I know it could be done because of some
of the other stuff that you've put into the AI
for some of these, you know, to create the music. Yeah,
the music parodies for that sound like normal. Yeah right,
you do that.
Speaker 1 (01:32:28):
Well, remember like three years ago, I was already doing AI.
Greg it's probably solid by now.
Speaker 2 (01:32:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:32:34):
You need so much.
Speaker 8 (01:32:34):
That's actually pretty good, and you need like you only
need like ten seconds of the person speaking and used
to be like five minutes.
Speaker 2 (01:32:39):
All right. One more story from the Happy AI newsroom.
Speaker 15 (01:32:42):
Passenger on a flight from Greece to Germany ended up
with his head and shoulders outside a broken window. After
a loud bang mid flight. The man was set out
of the window despite having his seat belt on. Authority
suspects engine debris may have shattered the window.
Speaker 2 (01:32:59):
Yeah, like that's the best the laughing chuckles.
Speaker 8 (01:33:02):
But I didn't ask her to do that. That's the
best one.
Speaker 2 (01:33:05):
Yeah, anything on the window, that one's the best. All right, Well,
good news. It's not quite there yet. Yeah, newscasters relaxed. Yeah,
a few more weeks is a show. All right, welcome back.
(01:33:25):
We'll follow up from what we did get to know.
Jeff g Yes, you said you uh, you heard from
your wife. Your wife heard the segment. She did. How
did she like it? She liked it.
Speaker 1 (01:33:38):
She said it was good.
Speaker 2 (01:33:39):
She liked all the follow up questions that you guys asked.
Did she learn anything? Yeah, yeah she did.
Speaker 1 (01:33:43):
She learned that I was still in contact with one
of my exes.
Speaker 13 (01:33:48):
And I was very nervous for about thirty seconds, and
she said it's cool. She goes, I trust you, and
I'm like, yeah, I'm like she just will say hi
every once in a while and congratulations or whatever, but
nothing at all.
Speaker 2 (01:33:59):
But look, bullet, so she knows this person. She does not.
They've never met. No, okay, I said, because that might
have changed, like if she already knew this person, and like,
oh okay whatever, don't care about it. But like, man,
I can't imagine my wife in that situation. She wouldn't
go for that at all. And I'll tell you. I'll
tell you the other reason why. So this woman that
Jeff is talking about is the person that Jeff was
(01:34:22):
stepping out on his first wife with. No not first wife,
just a girlfriend. Oh, he's just a girlfriend, okay, either way,
he was cheating on the person that he was with
with this girl, correct, So it could be just any
other woman that you had a previous relationship with. My
wife wouldn't be cool with that. She especially wouldn't be
cool knowing that it was the side piece. You're like,
(01:34:44):
you know that chicks down right, Yeah, so she would
freak out. She was freaked out. She was just like,
that's cool, I trust you. Yeah. On that somebody was
texting over question for the room, Jeff g said that
he used to be cheater. Do you all think he's
a good guy, Sammy Woody? Is he a good person?
Because we were having that discussion.
Speaker 4 (01:35:06):
That's a great follow up, Yeah, mainly for you Woody,
because yeah, like of the mindset, I don't trust Cheeter.
Speaker 2 (01:35:13):
I wouldn't trust Jeff in a relationship like like I would,
I wouldn't be in a romantic relationship with Jeff. I
like if I knew that. If I knew that, I
wouldn't be in a relationship. Sorry, Jeff, you can have
a romantic relationship in our next life. But in other areas,
you know, like he hasn't. He hasn't shown to not
be in other areas, but like in that area he
(01:35:35):
has shown, and so I would I wouldn't be comfortable
being in a relationship with Jeff. You don't believe that.
Speaker 7 (01:35:41):
You don't believe that right now, Jeff g the Jeffy
we know now would never do that.
Speaker 2 (01:35:46):
Again, I can't say he would never do it because
he has done it, Like I don't know. It's like
someone who was an alcoholic and they haven't had a
drink for however many they say once an alcoholic, all
is an alcoholic you have.
Speaker 12 (01:35:58):
Like like Jeff is a recovering people, I'm saying that
that monster lives in you like you you were faced
with that decision and maybe because yes, you were younger,
there were circumstances.
Speaker 2 (01:36:08):
Or or whatever. My My line on this was, I
can believe it's, you know, something that can be forgiven
and looked past as a one off. If it was
a one off, you were out somewhere one thing, one night,
and that was it, not that you did it, did
it again and kept doing it until you got caught.
(01:36:31):
That says something different to me, And.
Speaker 5 (01:36:34):
That's you know, But do you think just a bad person?
Speaker 2 (01:36:36):
Do I know? As a person, I don't think he's
a bad I don't think he's a bad person. I would,
I would, but I wouldn't be in a romantic relationship
with Jeff for many reasons.
Speaker 1 (01:36:47):
No kisses for you, Jeff kisses miss out on those handies.
Speaker 2 (01:36:51):
Because I know it because for me, I would constantly
be thinking about that.
Speaker 13 (01:36:56):
Yeah, and that's understandable. But I've never bought into once
a cheater?
Speaker 2 (01:37:00):
Is it cheating?
Speaker 13 (01:37:00):
Because people can figure it out, Like I figured it
out after I got busted by the police.
Speaker 2 (01:37:04):
I figured it out after this.
Speaker 13 (01:37:05):
Cheating, Like I kind of like that was the moment
of change, right, I'm not going to do this anymore.
Speaker 2 (01:37:09):
Yeah, But like that's why, like you like you have that.
You have that in.
Speaker 5 (01:37:14):
You, dog in you.
Speaker 2 (01:37:15):
Yeah, that dog is in you like you had you
you had that moment of weakness and you failed, right,
and you failed multiple times. So like you like you're
susceptible to it where other people may not be. You
know what. Yeah, the not temptation, but the opportunity was
there and you didn't give the temptation. And so that's
a different.
Speaker 4 (01:37:32):
And now there's so much more to protect and to lose. True,
So times are different circumstances.
Speaker 2 (01:37:38):
Exactly right, exactly the children. Yeah, I'm not I'm not
saying that he would do it. Yeah, Like, it's not
my belief that he would do I believe that you
wouldn't do it, But I can't. I can't say that
it would never happen because it has correct well, could
happen with anybody.
Speaker 1 (01:37:54):
Yeah, with Greg.
Speaker 6 (01:37:56):
If you knew his wife at the time that they
were meeting, and you would have been friends with him,
would you be like, oh, look out for that guy though,
can't trust.
Speaker 2 (01:38:05):
No, he's if he's my friend, I don't know her.
She's the new girlfriend. I'm not saying anything in that situation.
Speaker 8 (01:38:09):
No, but you feel that way, Yeah, I'd.
Speaker 2 (01:38:11):
Be like, well, good luck.
Speaker 1 (01:38:14):
That's what everybody told her.
Speaker 2 (01:38:15):
Yeah, we all. By the way, every dude has that friend.
I think every dude has that friend in some way,
shape or form whatever it is, like someone who's you know,
just trouble and just trouble in some way, shape or form, degenerate, gambler, cheater,
that's the drunk, that's the who. We all have that
one dude.
Speaker 1 (01:38:33):
Oh yeah, I wasn't that In my friend group.
Speaker 2 (01:38:36):
I was not that guy. There were people way worse
than me, but you know, and that's why you hung.
Speaker 5 (01:38:40):
Out with them. They made you feel good about yourself exact.
Speaker 4 (01:38:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:38:46):
Six, This is how what he has played it before
about cheaters. He's such a little bitch thing. He doesn't
want to say something wrong in front of Jeff. Now, Like, no,
I just explained it's there. There's a there's a difference
between being like, there's plenty of people that I'm friends
with who do plenty of things that I wouldn't. That
wouldn't be my choice. That's not how I decide to
my one buddy who gets hookers. Yeah, not my choice.
(01:39:10):
You know, do I judge a little bit? Yeah, I
sure do. I judge, but like it has nothing to
do with me.
Speaker 7 (01:39:15):
Okay, So in this case, do you agree? Are we
coming around with Sammy who said just because you cheated
it doesn't mean you're a bad person, as somebody pointed
out in the text too, does that do you agree
with her?
Speaker 2 (01:39:27):
Yeah? Well, if you're looking at it, yeah, if you're
looking as a.
Speaker 4 (01:39:30):
On this specific holes saying.
Speaker 2 (01:39:33):
As a whole, yeah, but you're you're talking about when
we first heard that you were talking specifically, wasn't it
about your ex? Because your ex had cheated on you?
We were having that conversation about I got divorced, you know,
blah blah blah blah blah.
Speaker 4 (01:39:46):
It was all born from just because you cheated on
somebody doesn't make you a.
Speaker 2 (01:39:50):
Bad not understand how anybody can stand up or take
back or defend somebody who cheated on them.
Speaker 6 (01:39:57):
But my so, my original statement was from an unpopular
opinion segment that we had, which mine was that I
don't think cheating automatically makes you a horrible person. You
can do a bad thing and not be a bad person.
And I think and that it was kind of don't
judge somebody off of one of the worst moments in
their life or one of the worst things that they
(01:40:17):
have done.
Speaker 2 (01:40:18):
Darren place to my one off. That plays into my
one off.
Speaker 7 (01:40:21):
Reason stands what he loves cheaters.
Speaker 2 (01:40:28):
If it's the one time in the worst moment of
your life and he made that, that was the worst
moment moments went on for us.
Speaker 6 (01:40:34):
Mistake, Sure, biggest mistake that you If you were in
a low point in your life and you're making mistakes,
that doesn't necessarily mean that you're a bad person in
an overall in your whole life that you should be
judged by that.
Speaker 2 (01:40:46):
Huh.
Speaker 1 (01:40:46):
And you also believe people can change, That's what I'm hearing.
Speaker 2 (01:40:48):
Yes, Yeah, if Jeff was put into the position that
he wanted a new girlfriend, he would definitely cheat again,
just like if he was put into the position that
he really needed money, he would probably scam credit cards again.
Speaker 1 (01:40:59):
I'll put you in specific man.
Speaker 5 (01:41:02):
Like credit cards.
Speaker 1 (01:41:03):
I trust you no more.
Speaker 5 (01:41:05):
Man, I'm You're not gonna.
Speaker 2 (01:41:10):
All right more. What he shows next second, the wood,
he show'll be right back.
Speaker 5 (01:41:14):
You are like the male equivalent of a basic bitch.
Speaker 8 (01:41:18):
Basic basic means you will go with the most basic,
popular option and don't and you have no thoughts originality
in your brain.
Speaker 2 (01:41:24):
You just go for what everyone else is doing. The
Woody Show. So, Nevada's Governor Joe Lombardo is in the news.
He's been getting some heat after he got caught trying
to get out of a ticket. Well he didn't really
have to try that hard. No he didn't. He go
to say, though, yeah he did.
Speaker 1 (01:41:43):
Do you know who I am?
Speaker 2 (01:41:44):
This is back in May, he was pulled over in Vegas.
The cop approached his car less than five seconds in.
Governor Lombardo hits the cop with the name drop and
here here's here's.
Speaker 14 (01:41:56):
The interaction doing Sir, sergeant check, I'm atro police, the
reason I'm stopping hers for the mart I'm.
Speaker 2 (01:42:02):
Aware form, Joel Lombardo.
Speaker 14 (01:42:04):
Yeah, I'm aware red light violation back there, your right
turn onto guyles here.
Speaker 2 (01:42:10):
So you're good to go, sir, appreciate you have a
good time. And that was the whole thing. Man, Now, great,
you're good to go.
Speaker 4 (01:42:17):
Great. His demeanor, Uh, that was pretty douchey, right, So
let's go with a two. I mean, he stated his name,
but still well, and that's his defense. I was just
saying who I was.
Speaker 2 (01:42:30):
I was just helping I was being direct and forthright.
Speaker 4 (01:42:33):
Might you know I am idem myself, uh huh.
Speaker 2 (01:42:36):
Rather than wait for him to get your I D
and see it for himself.
Speaker 14 (01:42:39):
Sir, sergeant check, I'm at your police. The reason I'm
stopping here is for the mart I'm aware for the
red light violation back there. Your right turn onto gyles here,
so you're good to go, sir.
Speaker 2 (01:42:51):
Appreciate you. It would have been it would have been
better if the cops is neat anyway, you were making
a run you license.
Speaker 7 (01:42:57):
It sounded almost edited, because why did he do a
pivot that hard? Oh yeah, like I thought, I'm aware
it was going to be like, yeah, screw you.
Speaker 2 (01:43:04):
The whole thing lasted less than twenty seconds. Both the
governor's office and the police union say the governor didn't
use his position to get out of the ticket. Look,
I get why they let him go. He's the governor, right,
I get it. That's gonna happen the same way they
pull over other police officers. The police officers flash the
badge and they go, all right, have a nice day, Hey,
(01:43:25):
take it slow down.
Speaker 8 (01:43:27):
Yeah, but in the day and age of body cameras,
you at least have to go through the motions. Yeah,
you at least have to say, high officer, I'm Joe Lombardo.
I apologize for that.
Speaker 2 (01:43:35):
I should know better as the governor. For the warning,
I'll do better. Stupid mistake I've made. Yeah, yeah, has
anybody ever name dropped or used something to get out
of trouble? Another one guy will go ahead, minute, and
we might be saying the same thing.
Speaker 1 (01:43:51):
Maybe I get pulled. When I get pulled over, no
matter what time of the day, I always say that
I'm at work, I'm on my way to work. Yeah,
and they all, where do you work? And then I'll
say a radio station, and they don't light up with
that radio station. I list all the radio stations in
the building, and they'll be a fan of one of them.
And then suddenly I'm I'm free to go.
Speaker 3 (01:44:12):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:44:12):
Well yeah, and you a guy he would carry station
shirts in his car for that reason. Yeah. He always yeah,
he always had like one or two in there, and
he would he would throw in there like oh yeah,
blah yeah yeah, and he goes, oh yeah, here, actually
you want a shirt, and you know, because.
Speaker 8 (01:44:31):
People get crazy on these radio station shirts. Still to
this day, it sounds like, but menis does. Is a
version of what Diana Russini, the sports reporter who was
bagging Mike Rabel did, is she got pulled over and
she was like, she threw oh you know, the Giants
coach just got fired. The officer was like, I'm a
Vikings fan. I don't give a crap. Oh I was
touching the Vikings coach. You want to get a facetaate
(01:44:52):
with him? Yeah, But I let them ask me the questions.
Oh yeah, So I hope they asked me like, oh, well, where.
Speaker 2 (01:45:01):
Do you work? Yeah?
Speaker 8 (01:45:02):
It turned out and the reason we know about this
is because she told a version of that story on
a podcast. Turns out the version she told was pretty
much a lie. Some people then track down the video
that they again body cam video idiots.
Speaker 2 (01:45:14):
Yeah it's out there, man.
Speaker 8 (01:45:15):
Yeah, And she told a bunch of different What happened
was quite different than what she told.
Speaker 7 (01:45:20):
I think I need a higher class of people because
I never I can't name drop anyone and get out
of anything.
Speaker 5 (01:45:25):
Do you know what, He's never got out of anything.
I'm not out of it because of my personal charms,
but not from the like do you know so and so?
Speaker 3 (01:45:34):
Like?
Speaker 5 (01:45:34):
I don't think that that would work well.
Speaker 2 (01:45:37):
Getting out of the tickets one thing. But also like
people use you know, relationships or you know, something to
maybe get a table at a restaurant like skip the weight. True, yeah,
you know, to gain favor in some way shape or
form some kind of benefit or it'll be a drink.
Speaker 5 (01:45:56):
That's hard because I'm waiting for Woody from the Woody Show.
Speaker 2 (01:45:58):
Oh right, this way to me, that kind of stuff
is so embarrassing. It is, it's embarrassing.
Speaker 4 (01:46:08):
Excuse me, I'm menace I work at Yeah, if.
Speaker 1 (01:46:11):
They that's not what I that's not what I say.
Speaker 2 (01:46:13):
I'm saying. But like in general, I never had it.
I never offer up any information like that, Like if
somebody asks, I will, you know, but I almost feel
more pressure at that point to decline any kind of
like favor.
Speaker 1 (01:46:27):
Because of that. Yes, because you're always gonna.
Speaker 2 (01:46:29):
Oh, I'm right exactly what took me upout it? It
feels it feels weird. Yeah, yeah, I get why people
do it, and I'm fine with it. You know, if
there was a restaurant that had really long wait times
and you knew the owner, you wouldn't say, yeah, I'll
take a table now, no, no, no, If you know
the owner. Like, if it's a friend of yours're already
having a relationship. I'm talking about you don't know anybody.
(01:46:52):
But you're then hoping, Yeah, you're you're you're trying to
You're trying to get them to quote, no, do you
know who I am? Yah? Anytime that's the do you
know who I am? Doesn't matter what the situation. It's weird.
Speaker 1 (01:47:07):
Yeah, it's gross always.
Speaker 15 (01:47:09):
Well.
Speaker 7 (01:47:10):
The famous one that I love more than anything is
when Reese Witherspoon went insane and because they were arresting
her boyfriend, She's like.
Speaker 5 (01:47:19):
You gotta know who I am? Do you know who
I am? And they're like it was a couple of
years ago.
Speaker 2 (01:47:26):
To her forties.
Speaker 5 (01:47:27):
Yeah, she was a mother deep in it at that point.
I think her kids are almost adults again.
Speaker 2 (01:47:33):
Body cares people. Yeah, Oh something happened with uh with
dumbass Tyler Lucky? Yeah? No, he was Where were you
witnessed to hit and run on the on the freeway?
Speaker 9 (01:47:43):
Right?
Speaker 2 (01:47:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 17 (01:47:43):
So driving down the freeway, I hear a loud bang.
I look over to the right and just total car accident.
The guy in front, I guess, had slammed on the
brakes on purpose. The guy behind him just completely destroyed
the back end, and then the guy in front just
took off.
Speaker 2 (01:48:00):
Oh, just took off. Okay, that's like a scam, like
where people will break check yeah, yeah, but take off
that Yeah, that part doesn't make any sense.
Speaker 17 (01:48:09):
So, like I thought it was a scam at first,
but the guy took off, so I was like, okay,
and then this truck and me had the same idea.
We both followed the dude. We're both doing about ninety
on the freeway. Swer No, I did call the cops
trying to get this dude's license plate down. But you
know how nowadays, when you have a newer card, they
(01:48:29):
give you like the paper license plate temporary yeah thing.
So yeah, so the back end is completely smashed, so
I can barely see this thing, but I can make
out the numbers and letters, but the last two were
torn off. But apparently I gave the cops just enough
to go off of, and I found out they ended
up finding the guys.
Speaker 2 (01:48:46):
Really did you find that out? I just found out.
Oh I have ways, I have.
Speaker 1 (01:49:00):
Only he knows people, you know, I don't have ways.
Speaker 2 (01:49:04):
It just sounds funny coming from Tyler the department and said,
I'm Tyler from the Wood. Yes, they dropped to find
the student's information. Yeah, okay, yeah, okay, that's fine.
Speaker 8 (01:49:15):
It's not fun.
Speaker 17 (01:49:16):
I have dash camp proving that I called the cops
and everything.
Speaker 5 (01:49:18):
So I think he just called back and say, hey,
what happened to that?
Speaker 2 (01:49:21):
So why would he just say that?
Speaker 5 (01:49:23):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:49:23):
It's more mysterious as it was one of his ways
he called. Yeah, it's a way, it's a way. It's
technically a way. Now.
Speaker 4 (01:49:30):
I called in a license plate once and know that
they got busted because I had to go with the
cop and I d the person from a distance. I
was at home and I heard in this pickup truck
had crashed into a house. And then as I ran
out to try to write down the license plate, backed
up and took off. But in my head I was
(01:49:51):
just repeating the license plate over and over and over
and over. I called the cops, and within about five
to ten minutes or so, they called me back and said,
there's going to be a cruise. You're coming to You
get in the car and go with them because we
think we found this driver. So we go down a
few blocks and there's this woman who was wasted, And
they said, was that who was behind the wheel. But
(01:50:12):
they didn't make me get out of the car because
I wanted to. They don't didn't want her to see
who's busting her. And I said, that's the one.
Speaker 2 (01:50:18):
And she was drunk and she knocked over mailboxes, crashed
into a hab. Jeff, you're shaking your head. You wouldn't
have done that?
Speaker 1 (01:50:23):
No, but did she was able to see you? Was
that far of a distance that no one could make
you out whatsoever?
Speaker 2 (01:50:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:50:30):
I mean this was many, many years ago. But they
pulled the cop car up to where they had her
in cuffs over by another patrol car and stopped a
good fifteen twenty feet away and just said just stay
in the car. Is that the one you're talking about?
And I said, yep.
Speaker 2 (01:50:44):
Are you worried about like retribution? Kid?
Speaker 3 (01:50:48):
No?
Speaker 2 (01:50:48):
No, not the moral codes. I told you I'm changed.
Speaker 13 (01:50:51):
But I wouldn't want them to be able to identify
me in any way, shape or form, especially the fact
that I live close.
Speaker 1 (01:50:56):
Also, I don't want to go shortly. Yeah, that all
that drama? I would I can you that much? Take
a picture of her and bring it back to me.
Speaker 4 (01:51:03):
One more layer to the onion. The house and the
mailbox that she destroyed, and the house she crashed into
was my friend's house, so I wasn't gonna be yea,
and she was wasted. I noticed more than ever. I
see cars all the time with no license plate, no temporary,
nothing in the window, nothing on the back. I'm like,
wait a minute, how how is anybody getting pulled.
Speaker 8 (01:51:25):
Out of the states where that is very very much allowed.
Speaker 2 (01:51:28):
It's allowed. Well, well, this is certainly one of them, man,
I see it a lot more more than I've ever
seen it. I go, oh, okay, well maybe it's nope,
not in the window, no, not no, no, no plate whatsoever?
Speaker 7 (01:51:42):
Did anyone else before they changed those stupid actual numbers
on the paper plates. Just ask for a stack of
them when you got a new car. No, oh okay,
there that don't have.
Speaker 2 (01:51:53):
The Are you going to keep your husband's handicapped placard
after he's done with it?
Speaker 5 (01:51:56):
I can't because they whole punch the damn dates in it.
Speaker 2 (01:52:00):
But nobody's going to notice that, you don't think. No,
you see it just hanging there. They've got to do
a glance. They see it with your luck that's another
one I would never use, and.
Speaker 7 (01:52:09):
He won't let me use it if he's not the car.
Even if I do a really convincing limp, he said,
I am not allowed to.
Speaker 2 (01:52:15):
Because he'll take it away from him, right.
Speaker 4 (01:52:17):
Yeah, and it's morally wrong.
Speaker 2 (01:52:20):
Yeah. I think here's the thing. I think they have
too many handicap spots. Said, they're always empty, and like
I get having the one handicap stall in the bathroom.
There's one. Okay, fine, the ratio, but yeah, you go
to like you go to a store, like what do
you need thirty the whole this row is like all handicaps.
Speaker 5 (01:52:41):
Not a hospital supply store.
Speaker 2 (01:52:42):
Yeah, why don't there's nobody ever in them.
Speaker 8 (01:52:47):
We're over prescribing them. And because as evidence by the
time I went to the gym and the guy walked
out parts of the handicap spot and walked right on
the treadmill.
Speaker 2 (01:52:54):
Yeah, my god, and had had one. I have another
handicap question, but we've got to take a break. It's
something else I saw, And my question is, would you no,
it's not a handicapper. They deserve love. Yeah, and I
got one of those.
Speaker 17 (01:53:11):
This is is.
Speaker 2 (01:53:15):
So here's a question. Would you There's a woman. Her
name is Alexandra Adams, and she says the biggest obstacle
to becoming a doctor was not her disabilities, but other
people's assumptions about what she could and couldn't do.
Speaker 17 (01:53:38):
She is.
Speaker 2 (01:53:40):
The first doctor born both deaf and blind. Huh really? Ok? Yeah,
Helen keller Man doctor right. So I don't know. I
don't ask a lot of questions. I figured that what
do they call someone who graduates from medical school? Doctor?
You know they all you know, it doesn't really you
(01:54:01):
graduate from medical school. You are a doctor. Not as
important what medical school. You know, like when you're just
going to like a perhaps said like we were going
to yeah, people go, man, I barely made it through
medical school. Yeah, but you know what, you're a doctor.
You did it, you passed at Yeah exactly. But I like, okay,
(01:54:23):
so if she's working at the urgent care, maybe, but dude,
if I needed like something, I don't know, I don't
I don't trust it.
Speaker 5 (01:54:31):
How do you even do the basics like open your
mouth and say?
Speaker 2 (01:54:34):
All right? So she uses adaptive technology and I think it. Look,
by the way, I think all this is very cool.
You know. I love all the medical science stuff and
the things that they're able to to do for people
and treatments that they develop. All that stuff impresses me
to no end. I just don't know if that's the
doctor going to the blind and deaf doctor. She uses
adaptive technology like a Bluetooth enabled stethoscope connected to her
(01:54:57):
hearing aids, and she's got a special lies in geriatric
care because they can't see her here.
Speaker 8 (01:55:08):
Right. Also, yeah, you screw up.
Speaker 2 (01:55:10):
No good for I want to be very clear, good
for her? I think, Look, I think it's great. A
lot of people we talk about that. Greg was just
talking about that with some person that uh Jeane or
somebody saw on social media. You're like, dude, I wouldn't
even want to go on. I give a lot of
people credit who find themselves in a situation that is
less than ideal, Like all of a sudden, you don't
(01:55:32):
have whatever legs anymore, and they figure out a way
to to go and have this great life. I would
want to quit. I know that, Like I know that
about myself. Like I don't know, man, that'd be that'd
be tough. So good for her? Good for her? I'm
going or is it just a computer? How could this
possibly be.
Speaker 1 (01:55:51):
Let's discredit I.
Speaker 2 (01:55:55):
Understand what you're saying.
Speaker 5 (01:55:56):
I'm looking at the article and she says she's really
good at placing ivy because it's just touch and feel.
Speaker 2 (01:56:02):
I'm convinced the people I go to for blood work
they're blind as well. Dude. Finally, I just had my
annual physical and I had to go for all the
blood tests and stuff. Finally, after years and years and years,
they got it on the first try.
Speaker 5 (01:56:19):
Happening.
Speaker 2 (01:56:20):
Usually I'm going to you know, lab corp or one
of those places, quest you know, and is this your
first day? How are you not able to do this?
Don't you do this every day all day?
Speaker 8 (01:56:31):
Is it your forearm?
Speaker 2 (01:56:32):
Fat would no, no, but they do.
Speaker 5 (01:56:34):
You always try to blame you, like, oh, this vein's
just not working with me.
Speaker 6 (01:56:38):
Oh I can't, I can't get out, and like make
it feel like it's.
Speaker 2 (01:56:42):
Your fault, because because every time I go up until
this last one, they have somebody in there. It's like
stab nothing, stab nothing, stab nothing, and they go, hold on,
I gotta bring the other person comes in right away,
he gets on the first one. How do I always
get the first day person on the first attempt? Checked
if they're blinded death. No, I didn't check. Maybe I
(01:57:03):
didn't ask.
Speaker 1 (01:57:03):
Don't they have the laser? Now I see them do
the laser. That's cool.
Speaker 5 (01:57:07):
Like that card that they put up your arm.
Speaker 2 (01:57:09):
They have that at hospitals there were because we had
heard about that. We talked about it. I know at
some point I go, why isn't why do they have
that at every place they go? Well, it's really expensive
and so like the the quest places, they you know,
they don't they don't have that kind of thing, but
the hospitals do. Yeah, it maps. It puts like basically
a map over top of you.
Speaker 1 (01:57:29):
Put your arm on your and it puts a map
right here is Well, they haven't had that one medical
one medical place that I've seen them online for less
than two grand buy my own.
Speaker 2 (01:57:39):
That's what the medical people were telling us that they don't.
They don't get that stuff because it's too much. I
don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:57:45):
The last one I did, well, I did five blood
tests recently. She was magical.
Speaker 2 (01:57:50):
I didn't even feel it going in Greg, you want
to share your news? He got the results? Oh yeah,
maybe a biopsy, biopsy of his nose and on the
back of his neck.
Speaker 4 (01:58:00):
Yeah, and I do not have skin cancer.
Speaker 2 (01:58:06):
I haveinicketa damn it. I already forgot.
Speaker 4 (01:58:12):
Tinic kartosis, which is a pre cancerous sun caused damage.
They might have to take more of my nose off,
but Jackson, it would require reconstructive surgery, and I'm all
for that.
Speaker 2 (01:58:24):
Yeah, if they have to take a chunk off reconstructive circle,
they would how much your nose would they have to take? Well,
hopefully none I go back into hopefully not.
Speaker 4 (01:58:34):
Hopefully none. I go back in three months, and if
it's any worse or has progressed, they'll take a big
chunk out and then have to kind of reconstruct it.
How I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:58:43):
They do that all at once, they take the chunk
and reconstruct at the same time, or do they have
to question.
Speaker 5 (01:58:48):
Because they're not going to take like the bone from you.
Speaker 7 (01:58:52):
No, no, no, it'll have like a little dam It's
not like he gets like rhinal plastic an insurance cover
would be right.
Speaker 4 (01:59:01):
And then the one, yeah, exactly, and then take some
of the belly out too while you're there. And then
the one on the back of the neck was also
very questionable. But they got the entire thing, they think
because the outer part of it was clear of any
questionable cells. So it looks like they took a big
chunk from the back and that's good. So I go
back for a rechecking three months and no melanoma.
Speaker 2 (01:59:25):
How much time you spent outside, no sun block?
Speaker 1 (01:59:27):
I was.
Speaker 2 (01:59:29):
Surprised.
Speaker 4 (01:59:32):
No, just a little hole.
Speaker 1 (01:59:34):
But didn't they check your butt?
Speaker 2 (01:59:35):
Yeah, penis. I would like to report my butt and
penis are fine. Everything's good. Like what do you think
I'm doing? Like I went for that that mapping, you know,
to the dermatologists for the first time, and they were
doing the whole thing like in your butt cheeks, and
now they get in there, like what do you think?
How do you think I'm sunning? Like like like you
can get you can get skin cancer on the bottom
(01:59:56):
of your foot.
Speaker 5 (01:59:57):
Yeah, get it through your clothes. If it's not like SPF,
you can.
Speaker 4 (02:00:00):
Get it in your eye.
Speaker 2 (02:00:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:00:02):
Oh yeah. But I was shockingly surprised that there's nothing wrong.
Speaker 2 (02:00:06):
That's good.
Speaker 4 (02:00:07):
Yeah, it's good.
Speaker 2 (02:00:09):
More fun than gone rhea.
Speaker 4 (02:00:10):
I mean I've had goneree a few times and I'd
say I haven't had gone yet.

Yeah, that too. At a dog park at a dog

Speaker 4 (02:01:44):
How lazy are they?
Speaker 17 (02:01:46):
Like?
Speaker 2 (02:01:46):
Just do it as they do it? Yeah, And it's
easy a quad, but keep up with it. That's one
of those things. It's much easier to keep up with
than it is to try to go back and yards
full of landmines.
Speaker 1 (02:01:57):
Yeah, I can just imagine by the time that somebody
shows up do that. You probably have like forty duties
in so many turns.
