Speaker 1 (00:02):
Is the dune to the resic nature of this program,
listener discretion?

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Is it lies the Woody Show.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
This is the Woody Show.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Insensitivity Training Class is now in session.

Speaker 4 (00:44):
A good morning, everybody, and welcome to a brand new week.
It is Monday. We are the Woody Show. It is
July the twenty seventh, twenty twenty sixth. I'm whatdding that's
great gory, good morning. We got Menace, Hi grand Yeah,
Sea Bass here, we got Sammy Morgan, our associate producers. Here,
there is Jeff g We got dumbass Tyler, we got bored.

(01:06):
We got Benji Vaughan on the job today. Phones open
eight seven seven forty four. Woodie, send us a text
over to two to nine eight seven is the beginning
of Nark Week. Ladies and Gentlemen Way Justice. So it
is a Shark week on Discovery. It is Nark Week,
cart and Arc Week here on The Woody Show. And
some special surprises throughout the week. New features with yeah,

(01:28):
some new features. They do that every year for Discovery too.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
And they do they come up them something. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
I was watching another one of these videos where there
are some you know, unaware swimmers. These are like some
kids used that big ass great white shark fields just
kind of I think it's in Malibu and the thing
is like they've always been there. What the difference is
you didn't have drones. And I agree with the comments

(01:56):
people on all these comments whenever they you know, paddle
boarders or here's some swimmers and there are sharks going around.
If I see a drone hovering around where I'm swimming, yeah,
I'm getting the fl Yeah, that's the new warning. That's
the new shark warning?

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Is that?

Speaker 4 (02:12):
And worth? They talking about that at one point like
they were gonna have drones hovering above certain beaches where
there were known like you know, like a heavier concentration
and it would sound like an alarm of some kind
if it spotted something in the water, Like all right,
that's cool, maybe it's time to get out. Today July
twenty seventh is bagpipe Appreciation Day. I have none.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
You will not partake.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Got I hate bagpipes. Today menace is National Chicken Finger Days. Yeah,
where are we're going?

Speaker 5 (02:41):
I do?

Speaker 6 (02:42):
By the way, I tried the costco ones. Oh yeah,
they were actually really good. A venis I think you'd
like them and they give you a lot of bang
for your book. It's a lot of a lot of
fingers in the interesting.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
All right, it's a National crem brewle at Day. It
is National New Jersey Day. Shout out to the dry wallers.
It's walk on stilts Day. I think that's kind of cool.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
I think it's really cool.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
Like when you watch dudes who are really good at
drywall and how quick they are with like cutting, taping, mudding,
doing all that stuff. And especially the guys who are
doing the ceilings and stuff.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
They're on the still and they have the screw gun.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
It's just yeah, that stuff is super cool man, so
rad Yeah, nice, nice work. Let's see. And today is
National sleepy head Day. How's how's that going? Gina? Have
you figured anything out about that? We had an after
hours VOICEMAILM yeah, here's h here's somebody left us a
message eight seven seven WOODI.

Speaker 7 (03:37):
Hi, I just wanted to do a check up on Gina. Gina,
I like, you cannot sleep for crap. Every night, I get,
on average about three hours to maybe four hours of sleep.
And I understand your pain and the insanity that comes
behind it. And I too got myself an or ring

(03:59):
after hearing what he talk about how it's been helpful
for him with his sleep. But I have found that
the Ora ring has been lending itself to way more
anxieties than anything. Every morning, when I check my Ora rings,
my heart's pounding because I'm like, what's my sleep score
may be? And then every time, even though without fail,
I get like an absolute crap score. I get so infuriated,

(04:23):
and I just find myself that it's not as helpful
as it is more anxiety and do things. So I
just want to do a little welfare check on Gina
and see how she's doing and how you're enjoying or hating.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
The or ring.

Speaker 7 (04:35):
He alway, love you guys, talk to you later.

Speaker 6 (04:38):
Bye bye.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
He's so right. Oh my god.

Speaker 8 (04:42):
That's why I didn't want the or ring because I
didn't want it to confirm anything.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
So what he's talking about and what Gina is confirming,
it sounds like you need a therapist. Yeah, I mean
I know, I don't. It's an or ring can give
you such anxiety. No, No, it's you just can't.

Speaker 9 (04:57):
Eve's that hard.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
But it's a to give you some insight, like I okay,
stand like maybe adjust my schedule. Maybe I'm getting better sleep.
But I get home from doing this weird you know
schedule that we have, which is what I figured out. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (05:10):
Yeah, for me, it's not really the sleep score, as
jeff Gy and I have discussed many times, it's the
sleep debt. I'm like, what do you mean, I meant
seven hours into sleep debate that I need so make
it up.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
The idea is to figure it out so that you
can get that score up. I started with the terrible
scores as well, and you know what, here here's my score.
Boom ninety three never ever weekday. Yeah, ninety three on
a weekday. Good for you. Yeah, but it takes a
long time. It's like anything else. It's like you've worked
out once, right, and you're expecting to have the v

(05:42):
greg you know, No, yeah, that one.

Speaker 10 (05:45):
It's like it's a work in progress.

Speaker 8 (05:48):
That once and realized how much it hurt and didn't
change anything. And now I'm depressed. So I understand.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
So you got it.

Speaker 4 (05:53):
You just got to keep working out.

Speaker 8 (05:54):
I shall do that.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
Yeah, I think I think it works great. If you're
if you're gonna make y'all like it's gonna make you
not that's about that kind of thing. Well, then yeah, Okay.

Speaker 9 (06:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (06:03):
Now, I always say all information is good information, but
it is like, God, damn it. I actually thought I
slept well, the ring says I didn't.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
Right, And you have to go into it looking to
get insight, not to get pissed. Yeah, you're it's there
for information, got it?

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (06:16):
Eight seven, seven forty four. What you can always give
us your after hours voicemail, whatever you got. Let's get

for certain things, one of the dumbest people I know.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
Really dumb.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
Am I going crazy?

Speaker 3 (09:22):
Am I back dumbs?

Speaker 4 (09:23):
I don't have that other side like you where you're
really smart. All right, here, you're too generous.

Speaker 9 (09:29):
The Woody Show.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
And we're in two another new hour. It is the
Woody Show. I'm modding. That's Greg Gory, That's Menace. What's up? Hi,
We've got Gina grad phones are open eight seven seven
forty four, Woodie says the text over to two two
nine eight seven. Check in on some cheers and jeers.
We'll start with you, Menace.

Speaker 9 (09:52):
Well, had a great weekend with you actually, Woody and
our friends in Las Vegas.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
Uh.

Speaker 9 (09:57):
It was fun to hang out a new spot. Usually
we have a yearly trip and we hang out a
certain pool, but now we tried a new pool and
it was awesome.

Speaker 12 (10:05):
And then we hit a couple of restaurants and.

Speaker 4 (10:07):
It's like a it's like a pool cabana day. So
you can go into any of the hotels and resorts
and they can you see him. They have these nice
cabanas off the side. They bring food and drinks and
everything else. It's dope. I wish I had one of those.

Speaker 5 (10:18):
It's not.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
You, but anyways, it was.

Speaker 9 (10:28):
It was a really good time. And then you actually
introduced me to Mother Wolf, the restaurant. I've heard a
lot about it, but I've never been there. They had
one on property and it was delicious.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
Rules Yeah, we were at the Fountain Blue Blue, Yeah,
which is which is a nice place. I don't see
how it survives. Really was so big and it's so
empty and.

Speaker 9 (10:50):
It's so yeah good though, Yeah, it's it's great.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
The rooms are nice and everything else, and the pool
thing was a great experience and everything else.

Speaker 12 (10:59):
Food's awesome.

Speaker 4 (11:00):
It's not unique to that place. I mean, like, look
at Resorts World, look at all these other places. There's
nobody's there's just nobody there.

Speaker 6 (11:06):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
Vegas is in some trouble with some of that stuff.
It's it's weird because it's so expensive that people, you know,
used to be one of those where it was like
a mega cheap you can just go there because it
was cheaper to go there, and maybe even though you
weren't rich, you could live like you were rich for
a weekend. Now it's like you got to be rich.
It's a special occasion place.

Speaker 8 (11:25):
Wait a second, So you're not getting any hot deals
even though these hotels are empty.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
No, wow, no, no, there's there's no you have to
go to like old Vegas or whatever. And the problem
is that I was reading about this is that a
lot of the resorts during COVID that try to make
ends meet or try to, you know, figure out the financials.
They used to own the land that the that the
property sat on, they sold it to the private investor people,
and so now they're leasing it back from the private

(11:49):
investor people sometimes for over a billion dollars a month.
So where they used to be able to offer drinks
and food vouchers and deals on rooms and things like that,
they can't. They have to up everything thirty five dollars parking, yeah,
and you know, seventeen dollars waters and all these other
resort fee. Which is why, which is why it's hard
for them to make the business work. So something's gonna

(12:10):
something's gonna have to happen.

Speaker 9 (12:11):
Because there's a couple of properties that are doing all
inclusive deals, which I think.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
Show and the room.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
Well, you can still get some pretty decent deals, like
in old Vegas down I know, but a lot of
the stuff on the strip is in trouble because of
those Because of those factors I never really understood, because
there's still people there and people are gambling, and you go, well,
how are they not making just a ton of money
every minute? Well, it's not. They're not making money. They
take the gambling from year to year, it's pretty flat,

(12:41):
like people are still gambling. Those those numbers are the same,
But when it comes to their profits and stuff, it's
because they it's how McDonald's. Yeah, it's how McDonald's owns
the land that these restaurants sit on, even though it's
you know, franchised. Wow, you know, the McDonald's people own
the land and so you have to lease it back
and look at that amount of space that takes and

(13:03):
you have a really good location. Some of these places
are paying up to a billion dollars a month. Yeah,
you just so before one person even walks in, they're
already a billion dollars in the hole for that month,
which is why the math don't math.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
Yeah, but if you and I gamble, there's the rest
for the year.

Speaker 4 (13:20):
It's not that Vegas sucks. Vegas is great and the
resorts are great and it's a really cool thing. But
like you know, the math is tough right now, and
so it'll be interesting to see how that all plays
out over the next handful of years because it's not sustainable.

Speaker 8 (13:34):
Well, of course, not people stop coming.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
It's all entertainment because I think it's gotten less fun
because of that.

Speaker 4 (13:40):
Well, the show's great. The restaurants are great, like all
those other things, everything else, everything that you loved about it,
like the things themselves. Take the price tag off everything.
All those things are still there and they're still great.
It's just that a lot of those things are have
become unattainable for many people.

Speaker 8 (13:56):
Yeah, because even on stuff like hotels tonight or whatever,
it was like, oh my god, I could stay at
the wind for thirty five dollars and I guess you're
just not.

Speaker 4 (14:04):
Well, you can still get something like that during the
week but they said at any given time, even on
the weekends, these places are a quarter empty. God, that's crazy.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
Even on the weekends quarter empty. Yeah, so they're seventy
five percent full.

Speaker 4 (14:16):
Correct.

Speaker 3 (14:17):
That seems pretty good.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
Well, not not compared.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
To how it was.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
It's not going to there the more people running or
on the casino floor and they're gambling and they're doing
that kind of stuff, which is where the money really
kind of comes in.

Speaker 8 (14:28):
But at least the pools probably aren't that much of
a Herbie stew Oh.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
There's still a ton of people at the point. I
think it's one of the cheaper things. If you were
there you just go to the pool and hang out.
You might end up be getting like a cabana with
all your friends, you know, but you know you can
still you can still do all that. Well, I say
that that said, like I said, the place is this
is not a not a knock on any of the
places themselves. It's the business of it. Yeah, you know,

(14:53):
it's the business of it. For whatever reason the decisions
were made and how things happen. That's where we're at.
And people like Greg wonder, well, why is it that
I used to be able to go there? And that
was what they were able to do to keep people
coming and to keep people gambling and short sighted? Yeah,
it's like how we used to have a free breakfast
burritos around here, like every week. They used to do that,

(15:13):
but that has, you know, the business changes and they
have other expenses.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
We don't get that anymore.

Speaker 4 (15:18):
And then it went from breakfast burritos to breakfast bagels,
and then and then those disappeared. So and now we're
lucky if they you know, even stock the little break
area with coffees and keep the machine running for the
coffee for Greg. Yeah, exist all right, what's your jear?

Speaker 5 (15:36):
Oh?

Speaker 9 (15:36):
My gear is I got that thing that I told
you that I've.

Speaker 12 (15:41):
Been bringing up with the chlorine.

Speaker 9 (15:42):
I don't know, get like, I get really itchy after
the pool and I went away, But now I guess
it's back again every pool.

Speaker 13 (15:51):
Uh.

Speaker 9 (15:52):
It was like for a full year I was getting
it and then now like the past two years completely fine,
and then I had it again this weekend.

Speaker 4 (16:01):
We menaces skin is sensitive. Maybe you have to use
pools for women like you. Maybe maybe your skin is
just like.

Speaker 9 (16:11):
pH balance for her phter the pool. I did take
a bath and it was pretty awesome.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
Oh yeah, damn yeah, we're all coordinating. You know what
time everybody's going to meet up. And then you know
MENACE's wife spicy Nacho hits. Everybody goes well, Menace is
in a bubble bath. Like a bubble bath.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
I think I'm going to do it more often. Take
a towel and like wrap it up over your head.

Speaker 4 (16:35):
I did away.

Speaker 9 (16:38):
It ruled hard.

Speaker 8 (16:39):
Did you clean the the tub first?

Speaker 12 (16:41):
You just hop in it was spotless? This to take
hotel bath the font Lou, I'm telling you man that
place rules.

Speaker 4 (16:50):
Did you use official bubble bath?

Speaker 13 (16:52):
Like?

Speaker 9 (16:52):
Do you think I just took the that's how a
man does it take the whatever there in there. Yeah,
I understand why people get like super high and then
like just you know, fall asleep.

Speaker 4 (17:05):
Yeah yeah, Sammy cheers and jeers.

Speaker 14 (17:08):
My cheers. It does have to do with laundry.

Speaker 13 (17:13):
I thanks for the warningsscovered the steam fresh mode on
a dryer. Never seen it before. I think maybe it's
just this dryer that I have.

Speaker 4 (17:23):
Now, Well, yeah, you can buy this that. They have
steam washers and dryers, but you have to buy them specifically.
Not all of them have it.

Speaker 14 (17:31):
Yeah, I've never seen I've never had it before. There
is a steam.

Speaker 13 (17:35):
Fresh mode on this dryer that I'm psyched about. I've
been using it all weekend. Your clothes when they're in there,
you know how like they're in the dryer and then
if you let it sit for too long, then they
get wrinkled and you're like a holiday show.

Speaker 14 (17:47):
You hit steam fresh. It takes ten minutes and it
steams all the wrinkles out of your clothes.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 14 (17:52):
What, It's incredible. I don't have to steam anything, I
don't have to iron anything.

Speaker 8 (17:56):
Wait a second, how do I know if I have.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
This it'll you'll you'll see a setting on.

Speaker 8 (18:01):
Your steam fresh.

Speaker 9 (18:03):
Yeah, I don't say or else steam what sounds like
a wild weekend.

Speaker 4 (18:07):
Now you don't even you're outside outside.

Speaker 9 (18:12):
Here's another thing. You gotta go to the hospital.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
You don't even need the steam fresh setting, Gina. Just
refire for like ten minutes in the dryer. Like, as
long as things are warm, you can take them out
laying flat and they won't wrinkle.

Speaker 14 (18:24):
Theoretically, yes, because that's what I always used to do,
but it would take a while.

Speaker 13 (18:27):
It takes a lot longer, and the wrinkles don't come
out as well as the steam Fresh. I'm telling you
if I had something in my closet, because you know,
stuff gets wrinkled even after you watch it it's hanging there.
You're like, I'm ready to wear this, but now it
needs to be ironed or steamed.

Speaker 14 (18:38):
No, it doesn't. Put it in the dryer and it's
steam fresh.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
I can't tell you the last time I iron something,
even stuff that requires ironing most of the time, because
I'll just leave it in the the dryer until it's
nice and hot. A lot of times, it's like, unless
you're overpacking these loads of laundry. If It's just a
regular sized loads ten minutes on like a high heat setting.
Take it out on the bed, lay it out flat
and use your hands to smooth it, and it'll it'll stay.

(19:03):
It'll stay perfectly good.

Speaker 8 (19:05):
But I have the spear that if I put it
an extra it's gonna shrink.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
No extra, already it's already dry. You're adding now heat okay, yeah,
there already was heat. It's like adding you would add
heat if you were ironing it right. Yeah, it doesn't
make a shrink, no, but it steems well.

Speaker 8 (19:21):
Does is superior to just running? I got to look
this up at my house.

Speaker 3 (19:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (19:27):
I iron iron every day, man, almost every day.

Speaker 4 (19:30):
Iron I just I always have. I could do it.
It's just not that I can't do it. I know
how to. Some people just don't know how to iron.
That's me like a button down.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
Shirt because you flip it. Let's say you're ironing the
front of a button up shirt and then you flip
it over to do the back. You just put creases
into it. You don't don't get it. No, it has
to be flat, I know, but it never stays flat.
And then you try to.

Speaker 4 (19:52):
You just to kind of move it around you can't
just set it, run the iron over it, and move
it like you have to keep your here's an art
to it moving around.

Speaker 3 (19:59):
The only time I iron is in a hotel room, Yeah,
because whatever I packed got wrinkled.

Speaker 12 (20:03):
But the iron in the hotel room was always crappy.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
Stuff.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
That's spray, Yeah, I gotta get that.

Speaker 4 (20:10):
I think it's downing or somebody down Yeah, recal spray.
That's pretty good. Jeers.

Speaker 14 (20:16):
My geers is two friends moving away.

Speaker 13 (20:19):
I have friends who I hang out with all the
time and they're a lot of fun and I love them,
and they're moving like three.

Speaker 14 (20:24):
Hours away, so it's not too far, but it's still
as far enough to not see them as much.

Speaker 13 (20:29):
So we did a going away thing for them this
weekend and everyone kind of just stopped buy a brewery
and stuff.

Speaker 14 (20:34):
But it's like so awkward too when you're at a
going away thing and you're.

Speaker 13 (20:37):
Like, Okay, well bye, we'll see and everyone starts going
like we're gonna come up there and you're gonna come
down here, and we're still going to see each other
so much, and you're making these like awkward promises that
you know our you know the intent is there.

Speaker 14 (20:49):
We do all want to do this.

Speaker 4 (20:50):
But like high school or college graduation. Yeah, exactly, we'll
totally stay in touch. Yeah, or you're breaking up, well
we can still be friends. Yeah, no thanks, that's a brunch.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
They probably left because you do too much laundry.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
Yeah, she doesn't have the dollar. Yeah she's talking about laundry.

Speaker 15 (21:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
Man, my cousin.

Speaker 4 (21:13):
I would see him more when he lived two thousand
miles away. Yeah, there's now ten minutes from my house.
He got this job about almost ten years ago. At
this point, we're like, what where are you moving? He goes, well,
do you know where that is?

Speaker 15 (21:25):
Go?

Speaker 4 (21:26):
Yeah, that's like five minutes down the road. He's like, no,
no way. And now he's since he's lived there, barely
see him maybe twice a year. He lives ten minutes away.
When I saw him, when he lived two thousand miles away,
i'd see him multiple times a year.

Speaker 14 (21:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (21:40):
I have really good friends from college that I never
see unless our other friends come in town.

Speaker 4 (21:44):
And it has nothing, nothing's changed. I still love him
to death. I grew up with him. He's you know,
as far as all the cousins and everything go, he's close.
He's a close family member. But it's just he's busy.
I'm busy, and I think you just take for granted
when you have somebody who lives that close, because you like,
in your mind, you go, oh, I can see them
any time, and it's not until you can't. It's like
you want things you can have totally.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
Are you what one?

Speaker 4 (22:06):
You don't have? People they say they cut hair, They say,
nobody that I've ever worked with, any customer that comes in.
Nobody's ever happy with their hair.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
Oh that's true.

Speaker 4 (22:15):
If it's too thin, they would, you know whatever, they
can't do anything with it, or they want, you know,
more curls than people who have curls want curls.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
Yes, you know, weird phenomenon. Yeah, everybody hates their own.

Speaker 4 (22:28):
Yeah, nobody's never happy with what they got.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
All right.

Speaker 4 (22:33):
Trending news headlines what do you got?

Speaker 8 (22:35):
Gina gred Well at Chill Day at Seattle's popular Bite
of Seattle food festival that turned really bad when a
shootout went down near the Space Needle. Three people were killed.
Four others were injured, including a two year old. Cops
say two people were shooting at each other in the
middle of a crowded event.

Speaker 4 (22:50):
So we got a clip.

Speaker 8 (22:51):
This food vendor was in the middle of an Instagram
live when the shooting happened.

Speaker 6 (22:55):
Shooting, Oh, get down, get down down.

Speaker 5 (23:01):
Oh it's right there.

Speaker 4 (23:03):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 8 (23:05):
Thousands of people at the festival when it happened, people running,
scrambling to get to safety.

Speaker 4 (23:10):
So it was just like random shooters or like beef.

Speaker 8 (23:15):
Okay, So investigators they're still trying to figure out what
the hell happened. One suspect was arrested. They're still looking
for this other a hole.

Speaker 4 (23:21):
Is it a weird Like I'm sitting here thinking about
my own reaction to this, Like we hear about so
many of these things. Yeah that I go, oh, is
it a random shooter? And you're like, oh, just two
people be like okay, okay, we're cool people, you know.
You know, it's like if it was a random thing,
that makes it even more scary. Scary. This other one,
oh that's just a regular one.

Speaker 8 (23:41):
Yeah, they were just trying to settle each other's hash.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
The reason behind it.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (23:45):
Well, speaking of Seattle, a couple of dudes climbed over
the glass wall of the space Needle, jumped off, and
parachuted down about six hundred feet these two dudes haven't
been got a ton of tourists that were at the
space Needle took video.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
Look you find these guys what.

Speaker 8 (24:00):
It sounded like.

Speaker 4 (24:05):
Because the one guy he like, just did a backflip
off the app.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
I think that's your new thing that you want to do, Gina, right,
base jump?

Speaker 4 (24:13):
Yeah yeah, if not off the space you don't know,
but somewhere like mo Ab. But yeah, for sure in
uh Las Vegas you could do that whole bungee jump
off the stratosphere. Are they still I've done it?

Speaker 5 (24:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (24:25):
I did it, and it's not really I mean, you
go straight down. You don't like bounce like a bungee cord,
but it's it's awesome.

Speaker 4 (24:31):
You don't bounce, No, it's a free fall.

Speaker 8 (24:36):
It's counter balanced in a way that you don't your stomach.
You don't like lose your stomach.

Speaker 4 (24:39):
You know that feeling.

Speaker 8 (24:40):
It's cool, It's very cool. I cried, but it was
worth it.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
I would take a trillion dollars to get me to
do that. Maybe think anybody wants you to do it
that man, Yeah, nobody's going to offer it.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
Maybe get on the phone. Well with these two dudes.

Speaker 8 (24:54):
They are looking for them and you guys, be on
the lookout. We have a very specific profile description of them.
They are white guys in their twenties in Seattle. Be
on the lookout, Bolo. And as if we haven't noticed,
a giant heat wave is baking a lot of us
in the US, with about eighty million people under heat
advisories from Texas to North Dakota. Some areas could top

(25:17):
one hundred degrees for days, with parts of Nebraska reaching
around one hundred and eight Vegas hitting one hundred and fourteen.
The extreme heat is expected to stick around most of
the week, with Texas and the Gulf possibly seeing the
worst of it by Wednesday, while the Northeast and a
lot of the Pacific Northwest they should escape some of
the worst stuff.

Speaker 4 (25:34):
I saw a report this heat dome that's hanging over
Kansas right now. Yeah, makes up the hottest spot on
the planet.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
I hate here.

Speaker 4 (25:41):
Yes, yeah, so of everywhere on Earth, that's it. Yeah,
it's over Kansas.

Speaker 8 (25:47):
I feel so bad for my mom.

Speaker 4 (25:49):
It was one hundred and fifteen in Las Vegas.

Speaker 12 (25:51):
Yeah, but didn't feel too crazy.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
Because we're sitting in a pool.

Speaker 12 (25:55):
Yes, yeah, but I don't know.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
You made it work. We were literally up to our
necks in a pool. Yeah.

Speaker 9 (26:02):
In this recent heat dome in in Europe, Like, it
wasn't that. It didn't feel that crazy either, well either.

Speaker 8 (26:08):
I haven't been there into Europe in two decades, but
there's nothing worse than a heat dome in Europe. There's
no central ac. They don't put glass ice in your glasses.

Speaker 4 (26:18):
Yeah, not built for it. Yeah. When I when I
moved to Portland, Oregon in nineteen ninety seven, all the
apartments that I was going to look at, nobody had
air conditioning. They didn't offer it. It was like you
had heat, but there was there was no option for air.
And I go, well, what's what's with that? I like
it cold, you know, And they're like, oh, we don't
really need it around here. It turns out no, you don't,
like you might not. And I knew a lot of

(26:40):
people that were going there. In fact, I went to
go look at a car at one point and there
were a lot of cars that just didn't come standard
with air conditioning.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
Cars.

Speaker 4 (26:48):
Yeah, I was looking at Anne.

Speaker 8 (26:52):
I was looking at a model to yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
And no air conditioning in there. And they go, oh, no,
you can add it because they were trying to keep
the price is lower for people. The cars of there
were on the lot. If you want it, you can
add it and they would install it, but it just
wasn't standard. I'm like, who lives like this? That's crazy,
especially a car, because you got to figure like the
car sits there, the doors are closed and the suns
but you know how hot, how hot a car gets,
you could literally be sitting you know. That's why I

(27:16):
don't leave your pets and old people.

Speaker 3 (27:17):
Yeah, right, that's why I ask Europe all the time,
what year is this?

Speaker 8 (27:20):
I know, we love your charming cobblestone ball.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
With the time, and I would understand it. We're talking
about older buildings that didn't have it because it wasn't
a thing when they built the build But I was
looking at newer apartments, things that had just been built
within the last handful of years. I'm like, how do
you buildings with air conditioning?

Speaker 3 (27:39):
Why?

Speaker 4 (27:39):
How do you use it?

Speaker 3 (27:39):
Or not?

Speaker 9 (27:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (27:40):
House centers, house hunters International. It sucks.

Speaker 4 (27:44):
Depressing. It's the worst one.

Speaker 8 (27:46):
Also, something happened to me the last few days. My
air hasn't been getting below seventy four in my house. Oh, Damn,
I feel like I might die.

Speaker 4 (27:55):
Yeah, Oh my god, something's not worthing's not good. I
got to get the guys out there.

Speaker 8 (28:00):
Oh man, we got to replace all of it. And
I'm thinking about this attic fan y'all are talking about.

Speaker 4 (28:05):
So oh yeah, we'll see what happens. Helpful, Okay.

Speaker 8 (28:07):
Well, San Francisco forty nine Ers head coach Kyle Shanahan.
He's recovering after getting hurt in a big car crash
a couple of weeks ago. He had a concussion, a
broken nose, three broken ribs, a broken hand, and he
needed more than forty stitches in his face. Yeah, he
was treated at the hospital. He's been released. But the
internet it's on fire saying he's drunk driving. Of course,
no proof of that, just the internet, you know, being

(28:29):
the Internet.

Speaker 4 (28:29):
But I think you would have heard about that, Like
if there was a drunk driving incident involving an NFL
head coach, someone from the police department would have leaked
that information about how he got was like justin Timberlake,
or you would have heard about it.

Speaker 9 (28:40):
Also, if he got that messed up, there's no way
that he would be able to hide that he was drunk.

Speaker 8 (28:44):
But here's the thing, the information didn't even become public
for two weeks, so somebody was sitting on it. Somebody
had their mouth shut. And speaking of that, another well
known NFL personality was arrested, this time for a confirmed DWI.
That was former Dallas Cow Voice quarterback Tony Romo. He
was busted on suspicion of d w I in Milwaukee.

(29:04):
So according to that police report, Romo was pulled over
and performed poorly on his field sobriety test. He was
taken into custody. He was released and he'll have to
be in court in September. No word if he'll face
any punishment for his job over at CBS.

Speaker 4 (29:17):
My question because when I saw this story it said
Tony Romo arrested for oh WI, which I had not
seen before. I wish we could just agree on is
it O w I, d UI or d W Is
it operating?

Speaker 3 (29:30):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (29:31):
Operating wile in toxicare yn't like it? So d U
I d WY. Can we just like standardize right?

Speaker 8 (29:37):
I mean does that cover like using a wrecking ball?
Like why does it have to be?

Speaker 4 (29:41):
What do you operating?

Speaker 13 (29:42):
Because d UY is drinking d wys driving, driving under
the influenced toxic will impaired. So I think that goes
under like pills or weed or something like that.

Speaker 4 (29:54):
That's different. But again came in just standardize, doesn't matter
what it is. You were impaired, so ether through that
alcohol or do some kind of drugs or cough, medicine,
you know whatever they could say, you know you're impaired.
So yeah, I don't like it, which like it was
just stick with the standard thing, that'd be nice, but simplify.

Speaker 8 (30:09):
Yeah, why make it harder? And finally not to mention.
As far as the weekend box office goes, the Odyssey
down thirty percent, but it's still dominated. It was still
number one this week. That's going to change though. Was
spider Man brand new day hitting theaters this weekend? Though
it was all about San Diego Comic Con, so we
have some of the highlights. Rick moranis that was exciting

(30:30):
for a lot of people. He hasn't been on screen
since Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves in nineteen ninety seven.

Speaker 4 (30:35):
He looks pretty much the same, exactly the.

Speaker 8 (30:37):
Same he was there promoting his return. Is dark Helmet
for Spaceball's a new one? Yeah, Marvel's Comic Con panel
included Ryan Reynolds in a Gray dead Pool costume. Ryan
Gosling was announced as ghostwriter, and Robert Downey Junior joined
other cast members for Avenger Doomsday on stage to share
that new trailer, and Ryan Reynolds crashed the presentation. He
was in disguise. He wore this never before were seen

(31:00):
on screen Gray Deadpool costume, so tended to be a cosplayer.
That was funny.

Speaker 4 (31:04):
I like it when they do that where people were
walking around no clue.

Speaker 8 (31:09):
The best one. I went to Comic Con that year,
and the best one was, like, damn, that guy really
looks like Walter White from Breaking Bad and Brian Krantzty
came on stage in the Walter White mask that he
was walking around in all day and ripped it off
and air and it was awesome. Rule Black Panther three
was announced with David Johnson as to Chala grown up.
His grown up son T'Challa was the late Chadwick Boseman

(31:32):
in the first film that's expected to hit theaters in
twenty twenty eight, and you might know David from that
HBO show.

Speaker 4 (31:37):
The Industry. Prime Video shared a teaser.

Speaker 8 (31:40):
For Carrie, which I'm so excited about that. Premiere is
October seventh. Apple TV debuted a trailer from Matchbox, the
movie that stars John Cena and Jessicail Car Yeah, Matchbox, Yeah,
the movie premiere is October ninth, and Green Day brought
an ice cream truck to promote their upcoming movie, Nimrods.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
I did see a video of that was that he's
like standing on top of it and he was, uh,
you know, Billy Joe's up there doing doing songs. Jenni
Fisher from the office in the office, she was like
off the side of like trade cool and it was
it was just Billy Billy Joe playing guitar and you know, singing.

Speaker 8 (32:17):
Basketcase yeah and handed out ice cream.

Speaker 4 (32:20):
I'll bid that. What's going on?

Speaker 8 (32:21):
Money?

Speaker 3 (32:21):
All right?

Speaker 4 (32:22):
Thank you very much, Gina Grat got it more? What
shows next?

Speaker 3 (32:25):
Hang On.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
Alone?

Speaker 9 (32:27):
The Wood Show, how.

Speaker 10 (32:38):
Well?

Speaker 4 (32:39):
The celebration of life ceremony for Oliver Tree, who recently
died in the helicopter crash uh that happened with his family,
friends and fans.

Speaker 3 (32:48):
Like Kurk Dots to watch.

Speaker 4 (32:50):
Diplo, Logan, Paul, and a whole bunch more. There were
live performances tribute videos, unreleased footage, and a whole bunch more,
including one thing people were talking about is Oliver's mom.
Mom was great, Yeah, talked about her final FaceTime with
Oliver before the accident.

Speaker 16 (33:07):
I texted Oliver the day before he passed and asked
how quitting smoking was going for him, as he promised
he would give it up once he was on tour.

Speaker 4 (33:16):
He facetimeed me.

Speaker 16 (33:17):
Immediately and let out a huge puff of cigarette smoke
in my face. But he was so happy and excited
about life that day. He told us he was taking
a helicopter ride to a house on a mountaintop the
next day to make tiktoks and music with his friends.
He loved having epic days, each one more memorable than

(33:39):
the last.

Speaker 4 (33:41):
That sucks. I can't imagine, like, you know, having to
speak at your own child's funeral or celebration of life.
Thing that sucks. But I mean the event itself, I
mean looked like fun. You know, like it sounds weird
to say, but I think that was the idea, right, Yeah,
the idea was just this fun celebration, which Greg wants

(34:03):
the opposite of it.

Speaker 3 (34:04):
I want you want devastating, devastated, he wants you to
jump on barely carry on.

Speaker 4 (34:11):
Like he really wants us to be requiring medication just
to balance us back out after like a week for the.

Speaker 3 (34:19):
Rest of your life. I mean, is it so much
to ask that you spend one week just devast car?

Speaker 10 (34:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (34:29):
Gone, Greg, I know how much you love a good
prank and a good social media fad.

Speaker 3 (34:37):
Oh for sure.

Speaker 4 (34:37):
Well this is happening right now. This is I think
it's pretty funny. So parents are tricking their kids, I'm sorry,
are tricking their parents, and they get a video of
a newscaster telling a story. Have you seen any of
these menace?

Speaker 3 (34:52):
Well?

Speaker 12 (34:53):
Guess is ai thing?

Speaker 4 (34:54):
Well, so the newscaster tells a story about someone who's
committed a crime, and then the kids have a picture
of their as like you know where they go please
are looking for this person? Right, And then they get
the reaction. They film the reaction of the parents watching it. Well,
it's good.

Speaker 9 (35:10):
What sucks is kids are doing this to old people
inside like uh, grocery stores and like Target and stuff
like that. And I'll show them AI video of them
still like secretly take a photo of the old person
and then put them in an AI video of them
doing like weird stuff.

Speaker 4 (35:26):
I hate that.

Speaker 9 (35:27):
Oh look what you're doing. They like confuse the old person.
That's you want to hear some of the reactions is
what you're describing.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
It's funny. Yeah, it's funny. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (35:37):
Like if I, you know, showed my mom, Oh my god, Mom,
did you see this and it's her picture She's the
one wanted for shoplift and just get a reaction.

Speaker 10 (35:44):
He news a woman who is wanted for shoplifting Tennessee.

Speaker 12 (35:48):
Your name is Carolyn Puckett.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
Expected in a murder in eastern Kentucky late last night.

Speaker 3 (36:02):
If anybody knows anything.

Speaker 9 (36:10):
Bragg would take a major coca Yeah right, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (36:14):
My favorite prank going around that I'm seeing on Instagram
a lot is it's I think it's called the invisible threat.
So let's say Gina and I are having dinner and
we're just eating eating and I see nothing, and I
just go, oh my god, and I jump back, and
then the other person sees it and they think there's
a bug or a snake bug and they go flying
backwards and fall over.

Speaker 4 (36:33):
That's funny.

Speaker 8 (36:34):
But if you did that, I'd be like, let me
get a lady bag.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
That's true, it wouldn't work, but if you did it
to me.

Speaker 4 (36:39):
Oh, you'd freak out. And the harmless prank stuff is fine.
There was a video that popped up. Hey, this is
remember those guys when pranks were harmless and people they
were sent to go make a delivery flowers or different
things to a church and they walked in and as
they're about halfway down, like walking toward the front of
the church up from the pews, three head pop up.

(37:00):
One is the priest and then another one is like
a woman like a nuns outfit and the priests like
shirt is like unbuttoned, and just to get the reaction
of the there, it's like these chicks like holding like flowers.
That's good my uh. And then excuse they started with
it was just the priest and like one nun's head
would pop up. Then it was like the priest a nun,

(37:22):
and then a second nun. Nice some people, you can
imagine the comments did not like that. They did not
have a they didn't have a sense of.

Speaker 3 (37:30):
Name about it.

Speaker 9 (37:30):
When I worked at a grocery store, it's still harmless.
The new people we would always go, oh, we need
you to count the black tiles because there's a checker
floor because we're going to replace them. So we would
see the new people like walk around the store counting,
and then also outside would make them mop the cement
for the handicap ones. We're like, oh, so the handicap
people could see the sign better, so they'd be out

(37:53):
there with the mop mopping it, and we're like, what
are you doing on the parking lot mopping the cement.

Speaker 4 (37:59):
I think stuff like that's really popular with fire departments
when they have when they have the new guys and
I forget what they.

Speaker 3 (38:05):
Call them random chores.

Speaker 4 (38:07):
Yeah, they were talking about it. They would mess with
that new guy on rescue me great, yeah, oh oh god.

Speaker 3 (38:13):
They never stopped.

Speaker 4 (38:14):
Yeah, but I think that's based on a real thing
where like the new guy, the new the guy fresh
out of the academy or whatever, like a fire school, Yeah,
comes in and they give him a hard time. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (38:27):
You are like the male equivalent of a basic bitch.

Speaker 4 (38:31):
Basic It means you will go with.

Speaker 10 (38:33):
The most basic, popular option and don't and you have
no thoughts originality in your brain.

Speaker 4 (38:37):
You just go for what everyone else is doing. Basic.
The Woody Show, Well, dude, cheers. I was in bed
at four thirty.

Speaker 2 (38:50):
No way.

Speaker 4 (38:51):
Yeah, well because we were in Vegas. We were in
Vegas and we were you know, in the sun all
day long. So by the end of the weekend was
just wiped. So got home and you know, kids were
off at activities where it can be back till I
would have been in bed normally anyway, and I was like, you.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
Know what, nobody's home.

Speaker 4 (39:12):
Spent plenty of time with the wife who was also
gone because you took the kids to the activities, and
I went, I'm out, man, it was that great. It
resulted in in eighty six sleeps core Gina, I know, you're.

Speaker 8 (39:21):
Oh god, worse than ever. I even took a melatonin.

Speaker 3 (39:24):
Yeah, man, so good.

Speaker 4 (39:26):
Oh that's why he doesn't care about daily saving times.

Speaker 3 (39:29):
Yeah, yeah, I don't.

Speaker 4 (39:30):
I don't because I prioritized getting the proper amount of sleep.

Speaker 8 (39:34):
And you sleep, You sleep through the whole night, you
don't wake up or anything random.

Speaker 4 (39:38):
Well I'll wake up and I go ooh, it's only
ten o'clock. I know that's the best people will be
normally going.

Speaker 8 (39:44):
What time did you actually fall asleep? You were in
bed at four thirty. When'd you fall asleep?

Speaker 4 (39:48):
Let's see the ring, dude, the oar ring. I fell
asleep at five oh eight, dude, Yeah, because of course
I scrawled a little bit.

Speaker 9 (40:00):
Should have to sleep at five? It was pretty great crazy.

Speaker 4 (40:05):
Also, cheers to flying, but like, you know, I wanted to, uh,
you know, I wanted to fly myself to Vegas, which
I did, landed at Harry Reid, which is a really
busy airport. So that's always cool, big boy to challenge
yourself and you know, do things like that. But it
was it was great. That was super cool. Jeers to
adulting stuff. Wife and I are trying to finalize a trust,

(40:28):
which is a big pain in the answer. I think
I brought that up before because there's so many questions.
It's all about your demise.

Speaker 8 (40:33):
Feels like it's been going on forever.

Speaker 4 (40:34):
It is. It's one of those things.

Speaker 3 (40:36):
But I thought this was done a year ago.

Speaker 4 (40:38):
Well, we've been working with the attorney and doing the
whole thing to you know, get everything in line because
then they have to you know, draft documents. Man. That's
that's some real adulting stuff right there.

Speaker 8 (40:48):
This might sound very sick, but I think it would
be kind of fun to answer some of those questions.

Speaker 4 (40:54):
It's not okay. It's interesting like why like, okay, so
you're dead but your husband's alive, but one of your
two kids also died. How does everything get split up
at that point because things not naturally go to your partner.
But then after that, like does it get to this this?
This Every scenario has to be kind of like thought out,
Oh that's not fun.

Speaker 8 (41:14):
I thought you meant, like, no, you're beheaded in a
fun boating accident. Like all kinds of like crazy scenarios.
It's not like one of your kids dies.

Speaker 4 (41:21):
Right, yeah, well how about you survive one of your
kids dies and then once you pass, then it goes
on to the whatever and then this other person like
had it in you?

Speaker 8 (41:31):
Yeah, it's it's one of you is in a vegetative state.

Speaker 4 (41:34):
And the thing I've I've I've leaned into more these
days is the ugly action beats perfection approach. So just
starting something like you have a project that you've been
like thinking about and now you're it's like the people go, well,
first I need to do this, then this, then this
is and then we can now man like, the the

(41:55):
time that's spent trying to make something perfect before you
even start doing it is where things die. Right, So
you have an idea of something you want to do,
whether it's I need to get my trust together or
I want to start doing whatever this hobby is, or
I want to start, uh, you know, looking for a
new job or whatever it is. Action ugly action beats perfection.

Speaker 12 (42:19):
Do you see what?

Speaker 4 (42:19):
Because what's that? Or the term for that is was that?
The new term for that is our word maxing.

Speaker 9 (42:26):
So there's there's like looks maxing, retard maxing.

Speaker 4 (42:30):
Okay, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 9 (42:32):
Look it up, exactly what you're talking about.

Speaker 12 (42:34):
It's just like just going for and just doing it.

Speaker 4 (42:36):
And there's there's a kind of a meme of course
that goes with it, but it kind of paints the
picture where it's like, Okay, the steps of the ladder
aren't perfectly straight or whatever, but you're so much higher
and further up than you are. The person who made
the first two steps of their ladder absolutely perfect, isn't
melt Robbins thing.

Speaker 10 (42:51):
Then it's it's like to take five or like just
spend five minutes something' putting off something.

Speaker 4 (42:57):
That's what's been hot and trendy, and it's exactly what
he's talking about. It but just think about like in
the course of like what we do for business, Like
we'll come up with an idea for something and it
just gets like talked out to death before anything happens
and it's done. It takes from her to get something accomplished. Yeah,
you got to be able to move quickly. What do
they call it? Perfect?

Speaker 9 (43:14):
Or yeah?

Speaker 8 (43:14):
Perfect is the enemy.

Speaker 4 (43:15):
Of goods something.

Speaker 9 (43:17):
I mean, it just starts the tech world has been
doing for a decade. They call it, you know, move fast,
break stuff. It just like just go ahead.

Speaker 12 (43:24):
And just do it.

Speaker 4 (43:24):
It's a very let's see weekend. What happened? Cheers jeers Gina,
What do you got?

Speaker 8 (43:34):
I found this dude's dog wandering on the street all
by myself and keep it well, no, I didn't want to,
like it wasn't cute, but reunited it with its owner.
I felt very proud of myself for doing that. I
was on a little walk with miss Pip and I
just saw this like kind of poodle like old poodle
looking thing kind of sniffing around with dragging a leash,

(43:54):
and I was like, well, that can't be good.

Speaker 4 (43:56):
So I tied up Pip.

Speaker 8 (43:57):
And I ran over there and she kept the dog
kept running away, and then I got down and did
like the like yeah, give here, and he came on
back and I grabbed his little harness and called the tag.
Now it went to voicemail and I left two messages.
So I'm kind of trying to keep him there, and
I'm about to take him in the house, and this
just like dude, like this old kind of tubby dude

(44:18):
who doesn't seem to really have a lot of hustle
into step.

Speaker 4 (44:20):
I see him way out in the distance.

Speaker 14 (44:22):
I go, oh, is this your dog?

Speaker 4 (44:23):
Yeah? Yeah, I'm like, you know, running after it exactly
like the dog got loose, it ran, it ran on.
He tries to run, yeah, about seven steps.

Speaker 3 (44:34):
He probably let it free. He didn't want it anymore, so.

Speaker 8 (44:38):
He brings it so he gets it, and I feel
really good about that. I'm so glad I got it back.
And then later I got this text that.

Speaker 4 (44:45):
Said, Zelle, no, please for a reward.

Speaker 8 (44:48):
Please. I get a text that says, uh, thanks for
the call. This is hours later, Thanks for the call.
My sister found the dog earlier and I texted I
was like, no, I found the dog and gave it
to a gentleman.

Speaker 3 (45:00):
Stolen day.

Speaker 8 (45:01):
It was so weird, but I'm glad. I'm glad the dog.

Speaker 4 (45:04):
They were in charge of watching it, and his sister
and the husband were in charge of watching it. It
got loose, he got sent to go look for the dog,
got it back from you. They told the story as if, yes,
am I responsib to be how did I get your number?
I know your dog exactly?

Speaker 8 (45:20):
Yeah, No, I busted that. I busted her immediately on that.
I'm sorry, my jears is how many psychos walk among
us and we don't even realize it. There is a
new true crime Netflix doc that I highly recommend called
Toxic Love Story. It's not really like the headline didn't hear, Yeah,

(45:42):
the title didn't grab me, but Sammy so anyway, Yeah,
because whenever they featured whenever they feature a new true
crime thing, I have to give it a go. I
I can hardly explain it because it's there's so many spoilers,
but it's this very messy love triangle and one of
the women starts getting all these insane harassing emails and

(46:03):
they're super threatening and they're crazy.

Speaker 4 (46:05):
But who's doing it? That's the question.

Speaker 8 (46:08):
So it's not what you think something happens and you're like, yeah, okay, fine,
something else happens, you're like yeah, okay fine, and then
the whole thing explodes.

Speaker 4 (46:16):
It's crazy, toxic love story.

Speaker 8 (46:17):
But it just it sickens me that these people like,
oh I met him at a Chili's, he seemed normal.
I met her at a Starbucks and she was cool,
and they just walk among us, Like, why aren't they
all locked up these people.

Speaker 4 (46:29):
Because they're still out there criming. I hate it. You know,
we don't need these people. So anyway, that's my gy.
Wait till they kill somebody, Yeah, right exactly, the cops
can't Yeah until then, Like you can know someone's bad,
is crazy, but you can't do anything about it. You
can't lock them back because in the show that infringes
on their quote rights or freedoms, Like we know this
person is just like to be a nutjob. You do,

(46:52):
but it doesn't mean that you're saying to be you know,
not monitored.

Speaker 8 (46:57):
And I'd like to get out in front of being murdered.
Murdered if it's all the same to you.

Speaker 4 (47:00):
They don't care, then it's left to the news to say, well,
what can we do to prevent this? In the future.
Were there any signs do people? Well know, plenty of
people saw the signs. This person was nuts, but they
were online and looking up all this stuff and collecting
all this material to make whatever device they were trying
to create to you know, take people out, but you
can't do anything until they actually try it.

Speaker 8 (47:20):
Yeah, yeah, exactly, that's fun. So anyway, that's my jeers.
But I do recommend toxic love story.

Speaker 4 (47:25):
All right, ce maass cheers and jeers, well, cheers to
the guy who terribly and horribly lost his lawsuit to me.
He is reached out and agreed to pay because he
had till the end of the month. If you recall
the sign collecting or the signature.

Speaker 10 (47:39):
The guy did a very poor job, and I say
broke the contract to collect signatures from my bid for
city councils.

Speaker 4 (47:46):
Asked to pay.

Speaker 10 (47:47):
You know, he didn't misquote the price. He didn't include
court fees, which I reminded of them of very kindly.
But I was afraid, you know, you're afraid with these guys,
and judging by what I'd known of this company, that
perhaps they were just kind of disappear, and you know,
it's like a bad contract, like I to go chase
him and blah blah blah blah blah.

Speaker 4 (48:02):
So cheers to him.

Speaker 10 (48:03):
For at least it seems well, you know, the check
hasn't cleared yet that he's gonna pay me, which is good, ladies.

Speaker 4 (48:10):
He'll send you the check, but there will be no
signature on the check. Yes, right, God, or it's posted
in the next year. Oh my bad.

Speaker 10 (48:19):
Yeah, So I mean that's I mean, ladies, that means
I'm gonna have like sixteen grand burning a hole in
my pocket. I don't know Mama needs a new pair
of shoes or anything.

Speaker 4 (48:26):
Hit me up you to get a hold of me.

Speaker 10 (48:28):
Yeah, yeah, I don't know what I spend that money on.
Feel free to text in with your ideas, although I
don't have access to that, so I won't know what
they are.

Speaker 12 (48:37):
They can't afford a b yeah you can, yeah, like
three or four grand.

Speaker 10 (48:42):
You can get entry level for they were like one
hundred grand.

Speaker 12 (48:46):
Well, there there are some that go up to one
hundred grand.

Speaker 4 (48:49):
Let's do purse talk with men.

Speaker 10 (48:52):
Jeers to the City of San Diego was down for
like the twelfth year in a row to comic Con,
and it was the worst for homelessness that I've ever seen,
and you'd think this is their weekend, this is San
Diego's big thing.

Speaker 4 (49:06):
Even San Francisco cleans itself up and they know they're
going to be in a spot and I forget what
that event was and for the first time.

Speaker 3 (49:13):
Ever everything so it can be done.

Speaker 10 (49:16):
And Kevin it was a minute, is like, yeah, we
could do that anytime. So I'm driving in Saturday nine
am and it's it's San Diego downtown. Sandigo is not huge,
and they are everywhere and it's just zombies picking its stuff,
taking over sidewalks.

Speaker 4 (49:32):
It looked like San Francisco or La But I.

Speaker 10 (49:34):
Was like, this is this is Saturday of Comic Con.
And there's of course parents and kids because it's it's
comic books. It should be for children everywhere, and they're
just in and among the population. So I don't know
what they're doing down there, but it's not working well.

Speaker 9 (49:48):
I was just telling off the air to people in
the room. We weren't here Sea Bass. In Mexico, they're
starting to just have people that just round people up
off the street and then force them into rehab and
it's even.

Speaker 4 (50:00):
Like, well yeah, and taking them the rehab. It's like
when you tell your kids that they went to the
dog went to the farm. Yeah, Mexico rehab whatever.

Speaker 9 (50:11):
Family, even family, it's called spiritual mission or something like that,
all in the desert.

Speaker 10 (50:18):
But see again, that's what we used to do in
a and what other go to Japan.

Speaker 4 (50:22):
You don't see it there child in Japan.

Speaker 10 (50:24):
So we used to do in this country until people
forty fifty years ago decided that one flew over the
Cuco's nest was real life.

Speaker 4 (50:31):
And yeah, and and there and there.

Speaker 10 (50:32):
The solution is, well, there are there is some abuse
in the hospitals, so instead of cleaning up the hospitals,
we'll just set up free on the streets.

Speaker 4 (50:39):
It will get no treatment and each other and kill
and kill.

Speaker 12 (50:42):
You know who started it, It was the Kennedy's.

Speaker 4 (50:45):
It was read that book. Yes, Yes, goes back to genus.
Whole thing about this documentary that she watched. A lot
of people in the text are saying, man, it was
really good.

Speaker 10 (50:51):
They want to stigmatize that Rosemary Kennedy's uh mental illness,
and they just kind of and then slowly.

Speaker 4 (50:57):
And then you know it, ye started defunding it. And
on both sides Reagan was part of the problem too.

Speaker 8 (51:02):
He's too who's two part plan that never got to
part two.

Speaker 10 (51:05):
But Reagan took a lot of heat for it. But
it was the Kennedy's that I really started it. Both
of them did wrong, I agree, so lock them up.

Speaker 14 (51:11):
But then you and Kennedy started the Special Olympics.

Speaker 17 (51:14):
Thank you?

Speaker 4 (51:17):
What the guy?

Speaker 10 (51:18):
The guy, the guy laid out on the sidewalk in
San Diego with an armful of meth doesn't need a
Special Olympics.

Speaker 12 (51:23):
So we need to go in Mexico style.

Speaker 3 (51:26):
Having never been to Japan, if you're walking through a
city in Japan, do you see trash or homeless people
at all?

Speaker 10 (51:33):
Or not only do you not see trash, you don't
even see garbage cans. Really, it's it's a very famous
thing where they just you take it with you and
get rid of it at home.

Speaker 4 (51:41):
I will say this.

Speaker 10 (51:42):
I was walking around a park greg in Japan, in Tokyo,
and I did notice like something wrong the bushes and
this guy I did see a homeless guy there. He'd
made like a perfectly hidden little hideout.

Speaker 4 (51:53):
In the bushes.

Speaker 3 (51:54):
It was probably neat in order exactly so.

Speaker 10 (51:56):
Even the homeless in Japan are very orderly and they
don't want to just start the rest of the population.

Speaker 4 (52:01):
Gina. Back to your documentary that you watch, the True
crime what's called it's called Toxic Love Story? Okay, because
people like some of some man so good. OMG, Gina,
great documentary. I'm addicted to the true crime as well.
Some other person texted over saying, my cousin was the
neighbor in that true crime doc and was telling us
that the guy in Ian was always a dick to

(52:21):
people and threatened everyone with the fact that he was
a US marshal and that he could make things happen.

Speaker 8 (52:26):
This is what I'm talking about. Why do these people
get to walk around?

Speaker 4 (52:29):
Yeah, it's crazy.

Speaker 8 (52:31):
Yeah, definitely check it out.

Speaker 11 (52:37):
All right, a man, you gotta see this video. Let's
play guess the cruise line.

Speaker 4 (52:47):
Oh okay, right on. So there's this video that is
being shared on social media. So this is all because
of the behavior of one of the other passengers during dinner.
In the video, the woman can be seen grabbing her
dinner fork and using it to scratch her foot at
the table. God, and she must have had some kind

(53:11):
of like foot thing going on, because you can actually
see the skin flakes falling off of her foot and
onto the floor.

Speaker 9 (53:20):
Yeah, so here's here's a here's a clip of the
passengers who went down and they were they were talking
to the employees trying to have something done about it.

Speaker 10 (53:30):
We actually have a video if you would like to
commit it's back because we showed the services and they
couldn't believe it.

Speaker 18 (53:37):
So this is her just scratching her foot at this
point as as you can see.

Speaker 1 (53:44):
And she lives on the.

Speaker 4 (53:48):
Okay, so guess the cruise line.

Speaker 9 (53:52):
The risk Carlton going to be virgin.

Speaker 4 (53:56):
I'm going to say Carnival, Carnival, second though, Carnival.

Speaker 9 (54:02):
Yeah, maybe Carnival Carnival.

Speaker 17 (54:05):
I would say Carnival.

Speaker 4 (54:06):
Well sweep it for Carnival, will you guys? Man? You
guys are really good at this because it is Carnival,
of course it is.

Speaker 3 (54:13):
Or people not embarrassed.

Speaker 9 (54:14):
Spring Break of the Seas.

Speaker 4 (54:16):
Yeah, somebody said it's the waffle House of the Seas.

Speaker 8 (54:20):
I had some good times on Carnival, but if I
saw this, I would never sit throwing up.

Speaker 4 (54:24):
When was the last time you were on there? I
feel like it's maybe changed because eight years ago the
dialogue the conversation around Carnival seems to have changed over
the last like five or six years. Right about that.

Speaker 8 (54:35):
This was not a thing I think when I.

Speaker 4 (54:37):
Went, yeah, like, I don't know this all of a sudden,
it just like it became the place where people who
just wanted to cause trouble or you know, kind of
gross people go yeah, yeah, yeah, but you like people
who are just like being gross or you know, acting
acting ridiculous, or yeah, they scratching their foot with a
with a fork at the dinner table. It's so discussing.

(54:59):
Carnival saw the video, they released the statement saying that
cleanliness and hygiene are no joke to them. They also
say they removed that fork from service. Did they No,
they don't know. By the time these people went down
to whatever, I think the person was still there at
the dinner table and they went there and they grabbed
that one fork. No chance, some Carnival passenger right now

(55:21):
has that in their mouth. I'm not saying they didn't
wash it.

Speaker 3 (55:25):
That's the thing. I judge this woman harshly. She's disgusting.
She should be embarrassed. Why would you do that when
you're at the dinner table. The list goes on and
on and on. But when it comes to gross factor,
what she was doing was gross. It's not necessarily the
fork that's gross. You probably have gone to restaurants and
put a fork in your mouth that was in the
mouth of a cold sore riddle swab, and you're putting

(55:49):
that in your mouth. You're drinking from glasses that everybody
has drink. Sure, so it's no more or less gross
because it's the fork. The woman is disgusting. She's a pig.

Speaker 8 (56:00):
I think that's just how you pacify your passengers.

Speaker 4 (56:03):
Don't worry, fork's.

Speaker 8 (56:03):
Gone everybody psychologically.

Speaker 4 (56:05):
It's so disgusting.

Speaker 14 (56:06):
But how did nobody say anything?

Speaker 13 (56:08):
Even the people she was with were fine with her
scratching her foot at the dinner table.

Speaker 9 (56:12):
I saw the video.

Speaker 12 (56:13):
I don't think they could see what she was.

Speaker 8 (56:15):
She's kind of under the table, being real nonchalant about it.

Speaker 4 (56:17):
Yeah, it is the people at the other table who
saw what she was view Yeah, I mean I've had
those thoughts about you know, you think about hotels, like
you're putting your face on these pillows, that maybe something,
maybe that was somebody else's crotch pillow. You know, some
people sleep with like a pillow between their knees and
it's up in there and their ass crack and there
you know, they're coucie crease. Pillows don't get smarked out, Like,

(56:40):
how do you know that the bed you're sleeping in
wasn't the sex bed for somebody else? And they slept
in the other one, right, like Sammy does.

Speaker 8 (56:46):
But that's an eating bed, right, eating in a seating bed.

Speaker 4 (56:50):
Yeah, Like so people, people are foul. Yeah, people blowing
their snot rockets on the floor.

Speaker 8 (56:55):
And you can really see the extent of the infection.

Speaker 3 (57:00):
It's so much. Yeah, it's disgusting.

Speaker 8 (57:04):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (57:05):
Uh. Anybody seeing any clips from the w NBA All
Star Game over the weekend?

Speaker 5 (57:10):
I did.

Speaker 4 (57:10):
I did.

Speaker 17 (57:11):
I watched the whole thing.

Speaker 4 (57:14):
Here's my question. So I saw clips, and I thought
it was almost a joke, like they must have just
taken all the absolute worst moments and strung them all together.

Speaker 12 (57:23):
They absolutely did.

Speaker 17 (57:25):
No, I don't think they did.

Speaker 4 (57:26):
But I keep seeing people rebutting it, saying, no, I
watched the game. It was one of the most embarrassing
things I've ever seen. And this is the All Star game.
We're talking like mega airballs, like layups that like, dude, yeah,
the layup that like when they want to go up
for the layup, the first time the ball touches anything
is almost the very top of the backboard.

Speaker 5 (57:48):
And it wasn't just Angel Reese, it was everybody.

Speaker 4 (57:50):
Yeah, it wasn't just the Brickmaster General herself, Angel Reese.
I love those guys.

Speaker 18 (57:56):
Full makeup, full hair done, girl and like didn't even
have their.

Speaker 4 (58:00):
Hair tied up a lot.

Speaker 12 (58:01):
Why are you watching?

Speaker 18 (58:02):
I had friends that have money on it, you know,
with the markets these days. But it was hilarious. And
then they kept saying they would interview the girls at
halftime or whatever, and they're like, we're just not playing defense.

Speaker 17 (58:14):
We're here to have fun. And I'm like, okay, sure.

Speaker 8 (58:16):
Yeah, but you're on like well, I mean not really
but kind of the world stage. Maybe try.

Speaker 4 (58:21):
I'm saying, it's it's supposed to be, yeah, like an
opportunity to supposed to be the best people. Yeah, like
hitting from like five point range or something like show
something pretty cool, you know, not like man, you just
take like a basic as shot and it's not even
like close, just complete air ball.

Speaker 17 (58:40):
The amount of layups missed was crazy.

Speaker 6 (58:42):
I saw Caitlin Clark start off hot and she hit
a couple of those like what should be four pointers,
the logo threes, you know, yeah, and she did it
all right, but then she kind of cooled off and menace.
We were joking about it on Friday about a dunk contest.
Someone actually dunked in the game.

Speaker 4 (58:55):
No way they did.

Speaker 5 (58:56):
Yeah, they did dunk in the games.

Speaker 9 (58:58):
So maybe a couple of highlights right there.

Speaker 5 (59:00):
That was about it.

Speaker 4 (59:01):
Yeah, I just don't know how anybody's into it.

Speaker 17 (59:04):
Yeah, yeah, that makes it way more interesting.

Speaker 4 (59:09):
There are Marble races that you can bet on. I'm
addicted to the online. I'm saying, I don't know how
anybody takes the w n B A seriously.

Speaker 9 (59:18):
Yeah, but if you go to a non top tier
NBA game, it's just as bad. It's crazy.

Speaker 8 (59:25):
That's a good point.

Speaker 4 (59:26):
I don't watch it, So would you agree with that, Jeff?

Speaker 6 (59:28):
I would say, like, if you go watch like the
Sacramento Kings or Washington there.

Speaker 9 (59:33):
It was bad, crazy. And one week I went and
I saw the Clippers play, and I was like, okay,
you know so right, there was like a long period
of time where no one was getting any baskets. And
then I went like the same week and I saw
the Lakers play. I'm like, oh my god, it was
like the week before watching the Clippers was like a
high school basketball game versus what I was seeing with
the Lakers.

Speaker 3 (59:53):
You know.

Speaker 9 (59:54):
So it's like, yeah, if you don't go to like
a top tier team, it's just as bad as what
you're talking about with the I mean, fair enough, I said, up,
I can't tell you last time I went to an
NBA game.

Speaker 4 (01:00:05):
I certainly don't watch the NBA.

Speaker 6 (01:00:08):
I do have a question for the ladies. You none
of you have fake eyelashes, right Morgan?

Speaker 16 (01:00:14):
Do you not?

Speaker 6 (01:00:15):
They're not as crazy as some of the ladies in
the w NBA. How could you play basketball or organized
sports with you one inch fake islands?

Speaker 8 (01:00:23):
Every time I see what's your name run the Olympic chick,
the runner, I'm like, how, yes, how, that's a great question.

Speaker 6 (01:00:30):
That's the thing I always look at Like you mentioned
full makeup and hair, and I noticed that about the game,
and I'm like, damn, how do they see the basket?

Speaker 4 (01:00:37):
You can run with long nails if they're long, they're
not long toenails with.

Speaker 8 (01:00:40):
No lashes slashes really while you're running.

Speaker 3 (01:00:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 18 (01:00:45):
The only thing that would be hard with that, and
it's hard with boxing, is if it's a contact sport,
Like if a girl gets, you know, an arm or
something in her eye, you're going to get all these
lashes in your eye and it makes it way worse.

Speaker 13 (01:00:57):
Yeah, And it's eyelash extensions, so it's not like they're
gluing them on. They're already they're somewhat permanently until they
grow out and it's time to take them off.

Speaker 17 (01:01:04):
Some people blue them on though.

Speaker 8 (01:01:05):
It's a pain in the ass.

Speaker 4 (01:01:07):
Fellas, right, it's hard.

Speaker 17 (01:01:09):
It's like two hour appointments every time.

Speaker 4 (01:01:11):
Yeah, it's tough. Text us over to two two nine
eight seven. It is Shark Week on Discovery, and as
his tradition here on The Woody Show, whenever it's Shark
Week on Discovery, it is Nark Week here on The
Woody Show. So we got cart narks for you each
morning this week. A couple of new exciting twists and

(01:01:31):
things that are different from your average cart narking that
Agent Sebastian does, and so we'll have some of those
surprises they do that on Shark Week two.

Speaker 3 (01:01:40):
Yeah, there's always one big spectacle.

Speaker 4 (01:01:42):
Yeah, they'll introduce like a couple of new elements or
something from the year's past that maybe you hadn't seen before.
So we'll we'll kick off Nark Week next year on
The Woody Show. The Woody Show will be back in
a sec.

Speaker 11 (01:01:58):
Show.

Speaker 4 (01:02:00):
I'm Whatddy? That is Greg Gory Menace?

Speaker 1 (01:02:04):
What is up?

Speaker 4 (01:02:04):
High Gina gret phones are open eight seven seven forty four. Woodie.
You can set us a text check in over to
two two nine eight seven. So it's the annual tradition
on Discovery Shark Week.

Speaker 3 (01:02:18):
So excited.

Speaker 4 (01:02:19):
Yeah, people love my wife, man, she loves She's not
as crazy as she used to be. She used to
set up she used to set up all the recordings
back with its just DVR only. I think now because
you got the Discovery app, you can watch it.

Speaker 3 (01:02:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:02:32):
You just go to the Shark Week tab on there
and a lot of times they repeat stuff from you know,
past season. Yeah, there's a lot of repeat stuff, but
there's always some new stuff in there.

Speaker 8 (01:02:42):
Did she record it for the kids or she like,
oh it's for her, good for her.

Speaker 3 (01:02:46):
No, she loves all that Sharks one week where they
were so obsessed with the sharks jumping out of the water.

Speaker 4 (01:02:52):
On what was the what was the dumb thing they
had a couple of years ago. Was it Michael Phelps
racing k They got to keep it, but not really.

Speaker 9 (01:03:02):
That was cool.

Speaker 4 (01:03:03):
Yeah, but the way they hype that up and you're like,
wait what Yeah, but you know then they just take
the time of a shark and then compared it to
the time that he was able to do it, otherwise
known as something you could look up on your own, right. Yeah,
but they gave it a good shot, you know, they
try to get creative. Well, when it's Shark week on Discovery,
it is narc week here on the Woody Show. That's right,

(01:03:23):
Ancient Sebastians. It's gone around trying to get people do
the right thing and return those cards to the card
corral or to the front of the store. And what
he got for his agency best.

Speaker 10 (01:03:36):
We got a new agent joining a law and more
of a quality controller supervisor agent.

Speaker 4 (01:03:40):
That's a Jeff g.

Speaker 10 (01:03:44):
The premise here is that I'm going out and doing
my narking and then as I'm as I'm kind of
finishing things up, my supervisor will kind of get a
customer survey.

Speaker 1 (01:03:52):
So this first.

Speaker 10 (01:03:53):
Lady, she's a German lady, middle aged German lady, and
she had dumped her carts and on an angle loose
in the handicap walkway, which means that the blue and
white striped area next to the handicap spots that is
that says no parking, but it's always big and open,
so they're from a throw it so that now someone
can't open their rear door, for instance, or we'll get
a wheelchair around. So I've been sitting there in front

(01:04:15):
of her for a while and I'm waving, I'm pointing, waving, pointing,
and she won't have she won't talk to me, talk
to me, talk to me until Jeff shows up. And
then her first her first complaint isn't oh I'm sorry
about the card. It's oh you got a camera. Yeah,
I don't understand the first Amendment. Oh okay, oh yeah, man,
See what you did is because you blocked the handicapped
spot with you.

Speaker 8 (01:04:36):
I didn't knock anything.

Speaker 4 (01:04:37):
Well what's that?

Speaker 1 (01:04:38):
What's that park? What's that right there? The front of
the store is right there.

Speaker 14 (01:04:43):
You can murdered part of the first say.

Speaker 10 (01:04:47):
Hurt MANA I don't think you understand the first Amendments
of the damn Constitution, which.

Speaker 15 (01:04:50):
Says we have the freedom of speech to stop people
like yourself from being darn old lazybones who hate freedom.

Speaker 1 (01:04:56):
Watch out behind you. Sorry, man, she's very lazy, a
lazy bone.

Speaker 2 (01:05:00):
It's you.

Speaker 8 (01:05:04):
Think they know better in Munich getting Uh yeah, well
they had such hard control and for folks people might
I don't think I understand necessarily.

Speaker 10 (01:05:12):
People say, well, the first moment's freedom of speech. Well,
freedom of speech means the ability also to record things
to talk about later. So that means taking notes, taking photos,
taking video, recording audio, assuming it's in a public place
like a like a parking lot, assumed privacy, right, So
that is part of the freedom of speech and the
ability to talk about and record the things you wanted
to talk about. So she's she just insulted her by

(01:05:33):
calling her lazy bones.

Speaker 4 (01:05:34):
She doesn't like that. Thank God.

Speaker 10 (01:05:36):
My supervisor Jeff g is here.

Speaker 9 (01:05:39):
What are you wearing?

Speaker 4 (01:05:39):
Do you look like a supervisor?

Speaker 5 (01:05:41):
Yes?

Speaker 9 (01:05:41):
I wore glasses and a tie.

Speaker 4 (01:05:43):
Oh you had a tie on, a tie on bell khakis. Yeah, yeah,
he looked like a manager. It was perfect employee review time.

Speaker 10 (01:05:51):
Yesh he's got a checklist and a clipboard, and.

Speaker 1 (01:05:56):
I though I described what you did accurately.

Speaker 10 (01:05:57):
You yeah, because you let your cart blocking the handicap access. Yeah,
the handicapped people who's spotting you just block?

Speaker 5 (01:06:05):
Here's my sam, I'm a supervisor. How do you think
you did today? Was our agent polite and friendly?

Speaker 4 (01:06:10):
No? No, no.

Speaker 10 (01:06:21):
And then so she's got a bunch of so her
first excuse is, you can't record me.

Speaker 4 (01:06:25):
That's a lie, obviously.

Speaker 10 (01:06:26):
Her second excuse was it's too far. It was as
far to go to the front of the store.

Speaker 4 (01:06:30):
It's right there.

Speaker 10 (01:06:32):
And now she then throws some more stuff at Jeff
as he goes through his checklist.

Speaker 5 (01:06:35):
I mean, do you think next time you'll put your
cart back?

Speaker 2 (01:06:38):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (01:06:39):
Yeah, yeah, I do, like have emergency.

Speaker 9 (01:06:40):
I gotta think you have an emergency.

Speaker 1 (01:06:42):
Okay, I gotta take handy that.

Speaker 6 (01:06:44):
Okay, okay, what did you use any dumb excuses for
our agent?

Speaker 10 (01:06:49):
I think she just did, Joe, Yeah, what emergency? What
appointment are you going to? That's so that's such an emergency.

Speaker 4 (01:06:55):
What's wrong with you?

Speaker 10 (01:06:56):
He asked you if you use any dumb excuses, and
you just used one about be having an emergency appointment.

Speaker 9 (01:06:59):
On a scale of one to five, five being the best.

Speaker 5 (01:07:01):
How would you rate our agent? Is that a zero?

Speaker 4 (01:07:07):
This trouble?

Speaker 10 (01:07:09):
So this is, by the way, to give you more context.
She's got an able bodied passenger with her who could
have taken the card back as well.

Speaker 4 (01:07:17):
She's it's six thirty in the evening. She went to
a warehouse club, but she has to get this guy
to some sort of emergency appointment. Interesting do you think
she might be lying?

Speaker 3 (01:07:28):
That's every time I have an emergency, I quickly do
some shopping.

Speaker 4 (01:07:32):
At the biggest store you can find too.

Speaker 13 (01:07:33):
Yeah, right, right, And I have a lot of appointments
at seven pm.

Speaker 10 (01:07:37):
Right, and if there's such an emergency, that used to
you take five minutes to argue with people about to right? Okay,
sure makes sense. So sadly, I don't think that one worked. Unfortunately,
help all right, Well, what do you show narc week?
And in this next one, this guy it's a family
affair here where a dad, a mom and an older, older,
older son are there and they dumped their card off

(01:07:59):
in the driving life in the fire lane, about three
feet from a fire hydrant. And so I approached this
family to see if I can, without even help for
my supervisor yet get them to do the right thing.

Speaker 4 (01:08:09):
We keep we we we.

Speaker 10 (01:08:14):
Oh, all right, yeah, I was the son of the
kid to go get it about there.

Speaker 5 (01:08:18):
This is where we're normally, well.

Speaker 10 (01:08:20):
We're going about over there, well, way over there, because
that's where the cars go.

Speaker 1 (01:08:26):
You know what's going on, right, sir? You're young, coming
for twenty years? I believe is that said fire lane
for twenty years?

Speaker 4 (01:08:35):
Is that an alien ship or an electric I.

Speaker 10 (01:08:37):
Think you can tell the evry So they they don't
fight me like the last first woman did.

Speaker 4 (01:08:42):
They send a kid out to pick it up, and
even he gave a little weepskeep like he knew it
was going on.

Speaker 10 (01:08:46):
Okay, but they can't let me have the last word.
The dad has to argue, we've been coming here twenty.

Speaker 4 (01:08:52):
Years, Well then you should.

Speaker 10 (01:08:54):
Then you haven't noticed a cart return, No, and you're
twenty years of life coming to this this warehouse club.

Speaker 8 (01:08:59):
Well, dads an't gonna let you get the last word
in front of their kids exactly.

Speaker 10 (01:09:02):
Even they may even know they're doing the right they're
admitting yeap doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. So let's see
if Jeff can talk some sense into this dad.

Speaker 4 (01:09:08):
All right, Agent Sebastian. Supervisor Jeff is on the scene.

Speaker 6 (01:09:11):
I'm a supervisor. How do you think our agent was today?
Was he polite and friendly?

Speaker 13 (01:09:17):
Fin?

Speaker 6 (01:09:18):
He's okay?

Speaker 12 (01:09:18):
Who is he?

Speaker 5 (01:09:19):
I'm sorry, we don't have time for this.

Speaker 2 (01:09:21):
A good job.

Speaker 9 (01:09:22):
Just do my job.

Speaker 6 (01:09:22):
I'm doing my job, sir. I'm doing my job. I'm
making sure. Oh, you don't have to cuss. That's not necessary.

Speaker 8 (01:09:32):
He's telling Jef to do his job as he's doing
his job.

Speaker 4 (01:09:36):
I'm literally doing job. Can I do my job more
than what I'm doing right now?

Speaker 9 (01:09:40):
Off?

Speaker 5 (01:09:42):
And he had his wife roll up the windows.

Speaker 4 (01:09:44):
Yeah, he's here like.

Speaker 10 (01:09:45):
This is this is a classics you know, the kids
doing the work. The wife is apologized, and the dad's
telling you to have off classic family dynamic. So I
don't know, hopefully the kid will shape them up.

Speaker 3 (01:09:56):
All right?

Speaker 4 (01:09:56):
What do you show? Cart and arts?

Speaker 10 (01:09:58):
So this last one, this guy he had parked a
little ways away, but and there's a card return pretty close.
But even closer next to him was an empty spot
and so he dumps the card there. But it's a
little windy and there's a little bit of an angle
and so as I'm seeing him dump the cart, it
begins rolling away, perhaps to even hit his own truck.

Speaker 4 (01:10:17):
So I run up on this fella.

Speaker 1 (01:10:18):
I was blowing away.

Speaker 15 (01:10:20):
Directly behind will lift pree w wall flow away behind
his own truck.

Speaker 1 (01:10:23):
Look at this mind is there there? Did you see
there's one hundred and fifty I've met the cart return?

Speaker 15 (01:10:30):
I pined, Okay, yeah, yeah, who are you when the things? Yeah?

Speaker 16 (01:10:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 10 (01:10:34):
And did he use any kind of like reasoning to say, well,
maybe that's not where they go?

Speaker 4 (01:10:37):
Huh excuse? Was I find it there? See that one?

Speaker 11 (01:10:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:10:39):
Yeah, I'm not the only one they.

Speaker 4 (01:10:40):
Love pointing out the one that's loose and not the
one hundred and fifty There are the cart return? Yeah
they could that guy.

Speaker 10 (01:10:47):
So he's but he does get out and because it's
it's it, he can't argue it because it is rolling
away at the moment I'm out there, and uh, Jeff
comes up to do the after action reports.

Speaker 5 (01:10:58):
He had a hard day.

Speaker 6 (01:11:00):
You learned your lessons are about cards.

Speaker 5 (01:11:02):
It's good.

Speaker 9 (01:11:03):
Yeah, it's good. Okay, yeah, every time coming every time,
and my kids when they come in with my kids say, hey,
does I'm gonna help you and you're coming. Oh, you
have great kids.

Speaker 10 (01:11:12):
And yes, I'm a very embarrassed because I don't want
the CSA people lazy.

Speaker 1 (01:11:19):
Yeah, you are very nice person.

Speaker 9 (01:11:22):
You know what.

Speaker 4 (01:11:22):
I almost feel like Jeff has this weird kind of
calming that he his presence is actually helping your cause,
which if the cause is trying to get people to
realize that they've made the mistake and see the error
of their ways and that next time they'll put the
card back, this might be the secret sauce.

Speaker 8 (01:11:42):
He's like, just Okay, what do you think?

Speaker 5 (01:11:44):
Maybe it's the tie.

Speaker 10 (01:11:47):
He's not He's not telling them one thing or the other.
He's just asking questions.

Speaker 8 (01:11:50):
This is the first time ever in the history of cartnarks,
I actually feel sorry for somebody. I'm embarrased.

Speaker 4 (01:11:55):
My kids make me do.

Speaker 3 (01:11:56):
It's a learning experience.

Speaker 4 (01:11:58):
Well some people, some people grow older, they don't grow up.
But this guy, I think grew three sizes too big.
Let me ask Jeff about his overall cart and Arcs experience, like, so,
what was it like? Were you nervous at all? Because
now some of these people get crazy like going into
it because yeah, I don't know, you don't know what
to expect. You don't know how people are going to react.

Speaker 5 (01:12:18):
Well, I mean, honestly, I never really thought about that.

Speaker 6 (01:12:20):
I looked at us like I got to do a
job and I got to get some good audio.

Speaker 5 (01:12:23):
And that was it.

Speaker 6 (01:12:24):
Man, Like I'm all in and that Sea Bass in
action was impressive. Yeah, it was awesome, honestly, Like, and
so many people that come up to him when we're
looking around for cards, and then all the people at
the store that their job is to collect cards were
thanking him and high fiving him. And at one point
we thought we were going to get kicked out because
the manager came out, but he was like, hey.

Speaker 5 (01:12:45):
Man, you guys need your water anything.

Speaker 9 (01:12:47):
He was like so thankful that Sea Bass was there
doing his thing. My question is did you guys arrive
to the location together? Did you take a car?

Speaker 5 (01:12:57):
No, we did not.

Speaker 4 (01:12:58):
You didn't get to go in there.

Speaker 9 (01:13:00):
It was closer.

Speaker 4 (01:13:00):
It was close to jeff GY's house.

Speaker 10 (01:13:02):
But no, it's I And I tell people like f
y I, they're gonna be super mad at me, but
if you're there with me, they're not gonna hurt you.
And like Jeff said to people are not ten to
ten to one people are cool. The people are mean
and nasty, but the mean and nasty ones something to
be dealt with.

Speaker 4 (01:13:18):
Well, it is narc week because the shark Wei gun discovery.

Speaker 1 (01:13:23):
Yeah, gonna do.

Speaker 9 (01:13:26):
When they's so nice?

Speaker 3 (01:13:27):
Word, what you're gonna do?

Speaker 4 (01:13:30):
What you're gonna do when?

Speaker 10 (01:13:33):
Yeah, because you blocked the handicapped spot with your didn't
look anything?

Speaker 4 (01:13:38):
Well, what's that?

Speaker 1 (01:13:39):
What's the.

Speaker 4 (01:13:41):
Time?

Speaker 1 (01:13:42):
What's that right there? The front of the store is
right there?

Speaker 10 (01:13:45):
You did recard first, man, I don't think you understand
the first Amendments of the damn Constitution, which says we have.

Speaker 15 (01:13:52):
The freedom of speech to stop people like yourself from
being darn old lazybones who hate free to watch out
behind you.

Speaker 1 (01:13:58):
Sorry, man, she's very lazy. Oh lazy bones.

Speaker 4 (01:14:01):
You're a jest.

Speaker 3 (01:14:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:14:08):
I want to give the Cartnark supervisor Jeff g An
opportunity to speak on this first, because I think you
would be more sensitive to this than you know, eight
agents of bastians not really sensitive to many things at all.
But somebody said, I've never seen Sea Basket aggressive so
quickly with Americans as he did with this immigrant, And

(01:14:30):
there was something there was something else in there too, like.

Speaker 8 (01:14:34):
He only picks on minority He.

Speaker 4 (01:14:35):
Only picks on minorities for the carton arking. What was
your observation in that?

Speaker 5 (01:14:41):
No, I mean he treated everybody the same.

Speaker 6 (01:14:44):
And U those are only three out of about you know,
seven or so that we approached.

Speaker 5 (01:14:50):
You know, they'll just be happen to be the ones
that he played today. But no, he treated everybody equally.
He wasn't. I mean, I don't think he was aggressive
at all. I mean, he just was doing his job
as a carton arch. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:14:59):
Who point is to get the best reactions, So the
people that you hear on the air are the best reactions.
There's a bunch of other people that he's approached that
just don't give you a boring Yeah. And so we
you know, we don't we don't hear those, We don't
play those in the in the segment.

Speaker 5 (01:15:13):
No, but he was equal opportunity to destroyer.

Speaker 4 (01:15:17):
Excuses. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:15:18):
Yeah, So, I mean I think that's b as and
I think you're looking way too hard into it.

Speaker 13 (01:15:22):
Man.

Speaker 10 (01:15:23):
It sounds like you're blaming immigrants for leading carts out
not cool, texture not.

Speaker 4 (01:15:26):
Cool, making a lot of assumptions and c best you
weren't in the room because we had gone to the
break when Jeff said this, But he did pay you
a compliment when it comes to your athletic prowess. Did
I told you I had to run after one? We didn't.

Speaker 10 (01:15:39):
It wasn't part of the audio, but there was one
guy who they do this very oftense will drive. They'll
drive halfway across the parking lot and then throw then
throw the magnet away. But of course I'm aware of this,
so I'll wait until they stop and then put a
new magnet on.

Speaker 7 (01:15:52):
Wait.

Speaker 6 (01:15:52):
Yeah, the guy that was in the older lady's car,
the first one that we played, the guy that supposedly
had an emergency to get it too, got out of
the are and through the magnet somewhere.

Speaker 5 (01:16:01):
So obviously he wasn't very hurt, obviously.

Speaker 6 (01:16:06):
But yeah, the one thing I noticed is when seabast
will notice that person in the cart. He's got a
very distinct way of noticing everything.

Speaker 5 (01:16:12):
Man.

Speaker 6 (01:16:12):
He gets out of the gate fast like a sprinter,
and he gets right over to the situation and addresses it.
So my bad form misjudging your athletic prowess, bro, you
are you are a top tier man.

Speaker 10 (01:16:24):
You know.

Speaker 4 (01:16:24):
It's kind of like.

Speaker 10 (01:16:24):
How you know, Luca, you look at Luca, don chik
or you're like whatever.

Speaker 4 (01:16:31):
But that they just think they.

Speaker 10 (01:16:32):
Just know the game so well, and they move in
such a way that they're just pastoring everybody.

Speaker 4 (01:16:36):
Like I did witness a conversation the other day when
I was arriving at the grocery store and I'm walking
to the front and there's, uh, my grocery store, and
then there's a pet Smart right next door, and PetSmart
has their own carts, right, and so these people had
gone to the pet Smart first. They wheeled the cart
from the pet Smart up to where the grocery store is,

(01:16:58):
which there was a pretty good two big yeah. Right,
So the divider wall between the two stores is kind
of somewhere in the middle, and there's a there's there's
a great distance in between. Well, they took the the
pet Smart cart all the way up to the grocery store,
left it there, and she goes, where are you gonna
bring the cart back? He goes, Ah, he goes, and

(01:17:18):
then so then he starts pushing it back towards the
Pet Smart. I go, wow, this guy, he's doing the
right thing. Yep, Nope, he got it about halfway to
where it was technically on pet Smart's side. Oh my,
and then leaned it up against the planter that was
right there in the middle of the sidewalk. I like,
you already went halfway at this point. We're only talking
about another sixty feet and it would have been there,

(01:17:41):
like you already went that far in a rush. Yeah,
well it has it was left it there.

Speaker 10 (01:17:46):
It's like as a psychological phenomenon, where like, once you've
decided you're not going to do it, you're not gonna
do it.

Speaker 4 (01:17:51):
Uh huh.

Speaker 10 (01:17:52):
Again, this is child behavior. You tell your kids and
they just don't want to do it. They're gonna find
a way to do it half assed or not do
it so they get to win.

Speaker 4 (01:17:59):
That'll show you.

Speaker 3 (01:18:00):
I think you all disagree with me, but I think
one of the problems with this whole thing is that
people go to the store. You generally have an idea
of what you're going to get. If you're just getting
some ground beef and a pack of Hamburger buns, why
do you need an f and cart. I was behind
a woman in line the other day. She had two
things in her cart. You could have either carried them

(01:18:21):
in your hand or used one of those hand baskets.

Speaker 4 (01:18:23):
What I think.

Speaker 3 (01:18:23):
I think with the damn card, you don't need a
cart carry.

Speaker 4 (01:18:28):
Who cares?

Speaker 3 (01:18:30):
Most of them are not putting him back, And a
lot of these people this cart narks would demand for
cart narks would be lessened.

Speaker 4 (01:18:37):
Pole are just in a habit man, they they pick
it up, then wake up, get.

Speaker 3 (01:18:41):
Out of your phone.

Speaker 8 (01:18:42):
You're right because those are also the people that park
right in the middle of the aisle and they're dicking around.

Speaker 4 (01:18:47):
Have you ever screwed up?

Speaker 13 (01:18:48):
Though?

Speaker 4 (01:18:48):
Where are you going there? Just for a couple of things?
Next thing, you know, like as you're in there, now
you have your day in.

Speaker 10 (01:18:55):
The cart I should have got a car car damn it.
Another thing too, greg with women perse they love putting
a purse.

Speaker 5 (01:19:05):
So Cark Sebastian.

Speaker 6 (01:19:07):
I know i'm your supervisor technically, but how how would
you like to rate my job that I did out there?

Speaker 10 (01:19:13):
Well, you know, it's his first time and as you
kind of heard, I was helping him along a little bit.
But as far as you know, going through the checklist
we had, he was it was good.

Speaker 4 (01:19:23):
I think he could have pressed.

Speaker 12 (01:19:24):
People a little more, okay.

Speaker 10 (01:19:27):
But then again, that's kind of like Gina said, his presence,
isn't that so.

Speaker 1 (01:19:36):
Your job?

Speaker 4 (01:19:36):
It's like the bad cop? Yeah, yeah, exactly. Also like
I mean, Jeff's natural demeanor is pretty chill. Yeah, I mean,
you have a very diplomatic way of going about things.

Speaker 6 (01:19:45):
I can press people. I'm here for the smoke. I'll
do it again next time.

Speaker 5 (01:19:49):
I enjoy it.

Speaker 1 (01:19:49):
You don't have to, but it was.

Speaker 10 (01:19:51):
It was good to have that because then it's good
to them. Hear them then justify their idiocy to another person.

Speaker 6 (01:19:56):
Then it would be just double smoke. You know, I
really want to sweat at supermarkets. So are old people
that still write checks?

Speaker 5 (01:20:02):
That happened That.

Speaker 9 (01:20:04):
Happened to me recently, And man, I don't see it
very often.

Speaker 4 (01:20:07):
Damn.

Speaker 5 (01:20:08):
They hold up the line and they write to check
for more than the groceries that they so they could
get more changed.

Speaker 4 (01:20:13):
And this old lady they're writing a check so they
can get cash. Yeah, my mom would do that in
the eighties.

Speaker 5 (01:20:21):
Yeah, and then they this lady got fives.

Speaker 6 (01:20:24):
And ones and coins, the whole gamut of all kinds
of bills. And I'm just sitting back there, I'm like, dude,
I got like seven or eight things come on.

Speaker 4 (01:20:32):
You know you can still do that. It was awful. Yeah,
I mean, you know, you don't see it very like again,
you don't see it very often.

Speaker 8 (01:20:38):
Does everyone still accept checks at grocery stores?

Speaker 5 (01:20:40):
Apparently?

Speaker 11 (01:20:40):
So?

Speaker 4 (01:20:41):
Yeah, I guess so shocking. Yeah, I recently used cash
for something because of the place I was at. There, like, oh, hey,
uh the machine, we're having to reboot the whatever and
then you can wait. It's going to be about another
you know, five or ten minutes before the thing fires
back up. But if you have cash, I actually did.
I actually had like a ten on me which cover it.
But it was weird. It's been a long time since

(01:21:03):
I actually got coins back. Yeah, it wasn't a waste
of time.

Speaker 3 (01:21:07):
It was just odd.

Speaker 4 (01:21:08):
I wasn't used to.

Speaker 8 (01:21:09):
Was it a little coin slide?

Speaker 4 (01:21:11):
No, No, they just handed They just handed me the
But like when I was walking around for the rest
of the day, it was the first time in a
long time I heard any clanging in my pocket, the change.

Speaker 3 (01:21:20):
You know what?

Speaker 4 (01:21:20):
It was nostalgic, Yeah, use it for the meat.

Speaker 9 (01:21:24):
Carried any cash.

Speaker 12 (01:21:25):
In so long?

Speaker 4 (01:21:26):
I carried it mostly for tips.

Speaker 10 (01:21:27):
How do you like, can you grease your way into
clubs and stuff.

Speaker 12 (01:21:30):
Mant uh I don't.

Speaker 4 (01:21:32):
A town in Switzerland is in the headlines for making
sure that people clean up bat for their pets. We've
heard about it before where they you know, they they
have like the DNA stuff for the kaka. But in
this town they passed a new rule to make sure
that you wash your dog's pee out. So like you
bring water and you dilute it down as soon as
as soon as as soon as the dog takes a leak,

(01:21:55):
you're supposed to take your bottle of water that you
bring with you and pour it over there. That way
is like it doesn't burn. Yeah, the grass out. That's
why you see those spots in the grass for the
animals being That's.

Speaker 10 (01:22:05):
Why she peeled paint on light poles in my neighborhood.
Yeah oh yeah, yeah. So dog walkers are now expected
to carry a bottle of water with them. They usual
to wash the urine that's left in public places. The
reason for the rule leaders of the town they're tired
of the smell. Also the mess of the burned out
spots and the grass and the different things, especially if

(01:22:25):
it sits in the sun all day and if you
fail to follow the rule.

Speaker 4 (01:22:28):
First time offenders get a warning. Repeat offenders get a
fine of up to one hundred and twenty five dollars.

Speaker 8 (01:22:36):
I was walking my dog yesterday and I only had
one bag and she pooped twice, and there was nobody out,
but I was. I was on the same block as
my house was far down, and I yelled into the abyss.

Speaker 14 (01:22:47):
I'm going back to get it back, and I did.

Speaker 4 (01:22:51):
Everybody has cameras.

Speaker 11 (01:22:53):
So.

Speaker 4 (01:22:54):
It doesn't sound or look appealing at all. It's just
like you got to pretend that they're actually entertaining.

Speaker 17 (01:23:00):
Yeah, I pretend it is exhausting.

Speaker 4 (01:23:03):
The Wood Show. We were just talking about this, and
look what just came through this morning.

Speaker 2 (01:23:11):
You guys, my American Express notification that Direct TV has
hit the hit the American Express for their monthly their
monthly payments.

Speaker 4 (01:23:22):
So you've been getting these notices. I don't. I don't
see that hold on unless I'm looking for it. But
I just noticed it when it came through this morning.

Speaker 13 (01:23:31):
Thank you for your payment.

Speaker 4 (01:23:32):
Yeah, no problem. Yeah. So it's a one of those where.

Speaker 9 (01:23:37):
You you're paying for something that you're not really using.

Speaker 4 (01:23:42):
We were talking about gym memberships. You sign up for
gym memberships and espally. Automatic payments are great because I
don't want to have to think about it. But at
the same time, by not thinking about that's what they're
counting on. They're they're counting on me being dumb, just
an idiot and not really paying all that close of attention,
and then before you know it, you're paying for a

(01:24:03):
bunch of stuff that you don't even use. I've been
really good about stuff through Apple Pay because anything I
pay through Apple Pay will show up and I can
go in there and go, nope, cancel, cancel, cancel under
your settings. You know, you go into the and you
can see it. Sometimes apps or things that you've signed
up for then the seven day free trial that it

(01:24:24):
becomes a weekly charge or a monthly charge, and you
forgot because you just wanted to try this out for
whatever you were doing in that moment, and you forgot
about it. That's the game. You got to come up
with some kind of app that gets people too.

Speaker 9 (01:24:36):
There are some out there that will go through your
bank statement and then figure out what you're paying for.

Speaker 4 (01:24:42):
No sure, but I'm saying, like, you know, create an
app cash or something like that. That's enough of a
draw that people. You know, it's nothing fancy, but just
enough of a draw that people will do the seven
day free trial and then forget they did it. And
then you just like rake in that money and you
use it while you can. You do it while you can,
until people get wise to it.

Speaker 3 (01:25:00):
Or set a reminder for themselves.

Speaker 4 (01:25:02):
Yeah, but what do you what are you really out?
But yeah, man, direct TV three hundred and seventy six
dollars and seventy four cents. And I can't tell you
the last time I put direct TV on because if
I'm watching something it's through an app. That's crazy. Yeah,
So that that's on my to do list this week.
I did make a note of it. I will be
uh well, because now, I mean you know, I didn't.

(01:25:24):
I had to dig pretty deep to find we were
trying to figure out how much I was paying. So
it figures that it was today.

Speaker 8 (01:25:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:25:30):
Well, next time you're in bed, scrolling right, take care
of it.

Speaker 8 (01:25:34):
Oh yeah, scroll on that.

Speaker 3 (01:25:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:25:35):
See, that's that's the thing, man. You gotta you gotta, like,
every once in a while, do that spring cleaning of
all your stuff. Just go through everything and just make
sure that everything is in order. Yeah, because you get busy.
I understand, you know things things get busy, but you're
what anybody else, like what are you paying for? Like
do you have a story? At least I know I'm
not the only person. There's plenty of people who do that.

Speaker 9 (01:25:56):
I just opened up what we're talking about right now
on my phone of all the apps that I signed
up for that I forgot that I'm paid, and it
looks like I'm paying one hundred and thirty five dollars
worth of apps that I really don't need at all,
Like what like this photo editing app that I signed
up for that costs twenty four dollars a one this

(01:26:18):
other video editing app that I don't use per month,
there's one paramount plus which I blame Tyler for on
screwing me because we were sitting together at a bar
and I wanted a dual screen like the Fight to
go watch. We're watching soccer, but then I wanted to
watch the UFC fight that was on at the same time.
He watched me go through the whole process of signing

(01:26:40):
up for it and putting in my credit card information.
As I was going to put my phone down to
watch it, he takes his phone and puts it in
front of me with paramount plus already he watched me
go through everything just before I was about to put
it down to watch it hate. I'm like, bro, why'd
you watch me sign up for it when you had
it the entire time?

Speaker 4 (01:27:01):
He gets Menace back when he can it is.

Speaker 9 (01:27:05):
What the hell was that about?

Speaker 4 (01:27:07):
Like Menace dunks on Tyler so often that you know
he waits for his opportunity, like, oh cool, you signed
up for that.

Speaker 9 (01:27:12):
Cool in the moment, but yeah, so but what's cool
about what you're saying? Yeah, you can go through and
I'm just gonna hit cancel on all this stuff.

Speaker 8 (01:27:23):
So you're doing it now?

Speaker 3 (01:27:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:27:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:27:26):
Besides my big reveal confession mortifying that I had been
paying for years for storage unit that I had forgotten about,
didn't care about, and you know that was thousands of dollars.

Speaker 4 (01:27:36):
Oh yeah, those things man, that got me.

Speaker 8 (01:27:38):
And the day we cleared that out is like the
weight of the world was lifted off my chest. But
I just realized that I'm still paying for a Northern
Lights tracker app from when I went to Iceland a
year ago, and one night I can't believe that.

Speaker 4 (01:27:55):
You point the phone to the sky and it tells
you what everything is.

Speaker 8 (01:27:58):
Yeah, but it was more like a map, and it's
like but it's almost it's more like user generated, like, oh,
someone spotted one over here, Okay, let's get in the car.
It's like, I haven't been in Iceland.

Speaker 4 (01:28:13):
I don't I don't have it. But I did see
in action one time. Somebody that I was with did
the night and all the stars are out there and
you literally hold your phone up, you know, and and
it'll show you like, all right, that is this, this
is a major and identify. Oh there's there's whatever whatever
the whatever the planet was, or that's you know, yeah,
there's the Big Dipper.

Speaker 9 (01:28:33):
I spoke in my backyard and I do that all night.

Speaker 8 (01:28:36):
I was just gonna say, that's a one time thing
when you're high. You don't need that all the time.

Speaker 4 (01:28:39):
Pretty fun, Yeah, it was pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (01:28:42):
My most recent one was I saw a preview for
this really trippy show called from Oh yeah, it looked
really good, and then to watch it you had to
have MGM plus. I didn't even know that.

Speaker 4 (01:28:55):
Was GM plus yea even know that was a thing.

Speaker 3 (01:28:57):
I never even heard of that really, so it says
you watch it, but then after one week it'll be
I think seven ninety nine a month. So of course
I set my little alarm to tell me to cancel it,
and I forgot. Oh no, So then I'm like, okay,
now I got MGM plus for another month for eight bucks.

Speaker 4 (01:29:14):
The other trick to that, And I don't know why
anybody you know doesn't think about that. I've done the
same thing where you don't have to wait the seven
days before you cancel it. You can sign up for it, yes,
that for the seven day trial, and then as soon
as it activates, you just cancel.

Speaker 1 (01:29:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:29:28):
I always assumed that once I hit cancel it, it
cancels that day.

Speaker 4 (01:29:32):
It'll just know it does until the end of your
seven days, so you have your seven days and it
doesn't renew, or if you signed up for that you
know whatever. Let's say like today, you know, I canceled
this direct TV thing, like it just doesn't do it
the next month, but like from now until the end
of that billing cycle that you just paid for or whatever,
then it's still good. Like if you signed up for

(01:29:53):
an annual on one of these apps, and I'll say, okay, well,
I'm canceling out. I don't want to renew it when
it comes up for renewal. But between now and whenever
it was supposed to expire, it's still good.

Speaker 8 (01:30:02):
But you want to use it day off DirecTV noway
because you're going to discover something you love and then
you're going to re up it again. So just stay
off of it like it never happened.

Speaker 14 (01:30:09):
Yeah, yeah, I did.

Speaker 13 (01:30:11):
I did this with Audible because I really wanted to listen.
There was an audiobook I was going to get into
the audiobook game and Mel Robbins let them.

Speaker 14 (01:30:18):
Theory, which I highly recommend.

Speaker 13 (01:30:21):
Yes, So then I was like, oh, I'll probably find
some other books that I love. But I'm not really
a book person. I don't even know how to find
things that I love. So it's charging you every month
and you accrue you know, it's like, oh, you have
one credit, and so you keep all the credits until
you find a book that you want to read. And
I ended up with like six or seven credits, and
I thought, I'm just going to cancel it, but your

(01:30:41):
credits disappear once you do that, and I'm like, well,
already paid for these, and I don't want my credits
to disappear.

Speaker 4 (01:30:48):
That's what I ran into with massage envy.

Speaker 14 (01:30:50):
Yeah, because you aren't. They were sitting there for you.

Speaker 4 (01:30:52):
Yeah, and when you cancel, you have to like use
them within like that. I had like eighty some massages
all built up like that were already paid for, right,
How have the hell am I going to go through
eighty massages in the five days that I was given?
And so basically you just you you sacrifice them or

(01:31:13):
lose it, or you keep paying until you use them
all and then you cancel.

Speaker 13 (01:31:17):
But so I ended up going to cancel, and then
it's like, are you sheer? You don't want to just
pause for three months? And I was like, actually pause
because I have all these credits.

Speaker 14 (01:31:27):
That I want to say. And then all of a sudden,
three months later, I get hit with the charge and
I'm like.

Speaker 13 (01:31:31):
I thought I canceled that, And then I was like, oh,
I did pause I And what I ended up doing
was I texted my friend who's into audio books. I said,
are there any audiobooks that you want? Because you can't
transfer the credit, but you can buy a book and
send it to someone as a gift.

Speaker 14 (01:31:44):
She sent me three and I was like, Okay, here
you go anymore.

Speaker 13 (01:31:46):
She's like no, I just picked six random books and
sent them directly to her, and I was like, hope
you like them.

Speaker 14 (01:31:52):
Maybe you listen, maybe you won't, but I'm canceling this.

Speaker 4 (01:31:54):
Back in the day, we had to pick all those
CDs for a penny. Yeah, be a house, I don't know,
just pick some I don't know. I mean Sea Bass.
When he kind of goes through a rotation, I'm very good.
So if there's a show on, say HBO Max, he
signs up for that, one watches the show, but immediately cancels.

(01:32:17):
I immediately canceled. They did four minutes later. Yeah, and so,
but he's constantly rotating around to the different things like
how much would you say? Like, how many apps do
you have?

Speaker 10 (01:32:27):
I'm looking right now a recurring I currently am on
Netflix because I watched the Hawk Take It or Leave It?

Speaker 4 (01:32:33):
But that's that. And I've got Adobe that's not a
real app. Do you have any kind of like YouTube,
TV or direct TV cable like for this regular you know,
local broadcasts of stuff or none.

Speaker 10 (01:32:46):
I got Audible and that that I do listen to
the books.

Speaker 5 (01:32:49):
So that's ZEUS Network.

Speaker 10 (01:32:51):
Yeah, I have a feeling my credit card would end
up somewhere in China.

Speaker 9 (01:32:58):
Specifically.

Speaker 8 (01:32:59):
Yeah, there's a certain clothing brand that I do this
a couple times a year where you have to sign
up to be a VIP member and then you get
this crazy discount and I order all this stuff. That
The thing is, if you don't cancel your membership, they
charge you like sixty bucks a month to be a member.
So the second those clothes show up at my door,
I cancel that. Nope, it's a different one that that

(01:33:22):
is great. It right, But you always remember to cancel
those because that's the fine print. Like they'll they'll charge
you like seventy eight.

Speaker 10 (01:33:29):
I was walking I was at a mall Menace, and
I was walking by a unit clone. It's like member
discount a member, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:33:35):
Who do you think you are?

Speaker 9 (01:33:37):
I know a lot of those clothing brands. Yeah, you'll
become a member and the discount is like super heavy,
it's crazy, just solid at the price.

Speaker 4 (01:33:45):
No sell more. They get your information. I don't need
any information. The data is what's valuable to them, so
they're willing to basically pay for it by giving you
some crazy discount.

Speaker 10 (01:33:55):
So here's the thing. We've been talking about this for
a long time with data. Isn't my isn't doesn't everyone have.

Speaker 8 (01:33:58):
All my data already? Like how valuable? How valuable could
it be? They've just been trading it around for the
last decade.

Speaker 4 (01:34:05):
Six to six. Hey, what can you gift all of
your hours of massage Envy? That's what we finally had
to do to get rid of my wife's accumulated hours
Christmas gifts, Birthday gifts, staff, et cetera for him.

Speaker 10 (01:34:15):
What's that We were begging you for theim and you
wouldn't give them to us.

Speaker 4 (01:34:18):
I just kept forget it.

Speaker 3 (01:34:20):
Yeah, you said, no way, I'm.

Speaker 4 (01:34:21):
Not going to Yeah I would have you know, I
I would love to have a go to you know,
use strippers. That was the thing I loved Massage Envy
and it was a good deal for like what you
paid in the membership would cover the one hour massage.
So it's a good concept. But like I'm never where
I I schedule something a week out. I'm usually like

(01:34:43):
day of or like the.

Speaker 3 (01:34:44):
Next day massage on a whim And yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:34:46):
Whenever I would call, they wouldn't have anything available at
the time that would work for me, And so they
just kept piling up and it just was It just
didn't work for me. But it's great, like if you
have that flexibility and you could do it. I thought
it was awesome. I loved it.

Speaker 8 (01:35:00):
Why do we do an all staff field trip and
just knock them out.

Speaker 9 (01:35:03):
Right with that?

Speaker 3 (01:35:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:35:05):
Eight seven seven forty four, Woodie, I'm definitely gonna do
that today. Cancel direct TV, all right, Texters, feel free
to get it back to us in twenty four hours.

Speaker 16 (01:35:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:35:15):
Yeah. I just want to make sure that when because
some of the other apps that I use are connected
to the direct TV you said, because I have I
have that included that channel or whatever in my direct TV,
so the signing for it is through my direct TV credentials,
all right. So I want to because I know the
credit card that you had mentioned covers a couple of

(01:35:36):
those things, or you know your cell phone provider provides
for a couple of those things. I just want to
make sure that, uh, you have Amazon, Yeah, yeah, exactly exactly,
So make sure it's all lined up that way. But man,
so much money, so much money just being wasted.

Speaker 9 (01:35:50):
I just saw that it had no idea on how
I did this, but I was paying for two cap
cut video apps right address.

Speaker 15 (01:35:58):
Yea.

Speaker 4 (01:36:01):
Four wood set us a text over to two to
two nine eight seven more Woodies shows next.

Speaker 3 (01:36:04):
Time next No, but.

Speaker 5 (01:36:11):
A couple of.

Speaker 4 (01:36:11):
Follow up questions on the text after you're talking about
how you sign up for something you're a member or
whatever subscription you signed up for, and then you're paying
for it every month but you're not even really using it.
But it's out of sight, out of mind it because
the autopay thing. Yeah, that's the deal with direct TV
for me, so little TV.

Speaker 3 (01:36:29):
I wish I had more time for you you guys,
I know, did you talk about what you watched and
a year I haven't. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:36:35):
Yeah, I've been so busy with the flight training stuff.
It's all right. All my all my spare time is
that and family stuff and work stuff. I want to
get back to that though. Question for Gina, Yeah, excuse me, Yes,
the what was the name of the clothing thing that
you were talking about? It's fabletics.

Speaker 8 (01:36:52):
Fabletics yeah, and the stuff rules I have a ton
of Ye you, I was good.

Speaker 4 (01:36:56):
It's great.

Speaker 8 (01:36:56):
You just don't want to forget to push cancel or paul.

Speaker 11 (01:37:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:37:01):
On some of those like yeah, because you can sometimes
you can skip. Yeah, Like if it's a subscription to something,
you could say skip this next.

Speaker 8 (01:37:08):
I'm not a candidate for skipping because I would forget.

Speaker 9 (01:37:11):
It's also a credit too, It's not like your money
just in the wind. With the fab legs thing.

Speaker 4 (01:37:17):
Well, it was kind of the massage envy, like I'd
paid for the membership that was including the sixty minute massage,
and when he didn't use it for that month, it
carried over and they just started piling up till I
had eighty sums, so the unused one. And by the way,
somebody texted over saying, notice how Woody didn't even acknowledge
the whole group's idea to knock them out, like just
give them to everybody. It's because they're gone. It's because

(01:37:39):
it kept piling up and I kept forgetting to do
it to where I eventually say, you know what, cancel, yeah,
and just let him go in the wind, because like
we kept just getting behind on it, and it was
just adding to the problem every single month. It's if
I had them, I would give them away right now.
It's it's not that I didn't want to give you.
You're screw Yeah, I'm known for being very stingy. Alright,

(01:38:01):
cheers and jeers, Greg.

Speaker 3 (01:38:03):
I'm gonna say cheers to productivity, even though it's kind
of a jeers, because being super productive is boring and
laborious and it sucks. But I have been so productive
the past few days because I'm getting the house painted,
and so you have to move stuff you have. I
cut down hedges. I then emptied out the home office
because I want to get that repainted as well. I

(01:38:26):
literally took out every single thing in that office. Out
what we both did. I'm not gonna take all the credit.
Made three different trips to Goodwill to the point where
they saw me every day. I got rid of so
much stuff, so it sucked, but I'm so glad it's over.

Speaker 8 (01:38:43):
That's the best part.

Speaker 3 (01:38:44):
Yeah, exactly, jeers, and this pains me to say it.
Jeers to my favorite place on Earth, Home Goods. What Greg,
I walked in the other day and what is taking
up I would say about a good twenty to twenty
five percent of the front of the store Halloween crab.

Speaker 9 (01:39:06):
Yeah, yeah, more and more hollow crab everywhere, I exactly.
But at Low's they already had the skeletons are like
tempeed called summer ween.

Speaker 3 (01:39:16):
Oh so dumb, you have that right, and it set
me into this mega I mean, I was gonna say judgmental,
more judgmental than usual state that I live in. I'm
so judgmental. Like they had Halloween pillows. Can you imagine
a grown adult changing out their pillows.

Speaker 4 (01:39:34):
My wife Halloween?

Speaker 12 (01:39:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:39:36):
How are my wife's one? And it's got like a
little candy corn throw pillow. It looks like a candy
corn Yeah. She breaks it out with all the other
you know, Halloween chopskys that she puts around the house.

Speaker 3 (01:39:48):
It turned me off to Halloween, not just that the
timing of it or the sheer volume of it, but
the entire concept of it. Stop it, society, were not six,
we're adults.

Speaker 8 (01:40:01):
You don't like stopping Halloween decoration?

Speaker 15 (01:40:04):
Decoration?

Speaker 9 (01:40:05):
I thought you would appreciate the course.

Speaker 4 (01:40:07):
No, No, he's never been Halloween.

Speaker 9 (01:40:11):
Yeah, but I'm like Halloween like a pillow.

Speaker 3 (01:40:14):
No, it's it's ridiculous, And I judge you so harshly.

Speaker 8 (01:40:18):
Okay, I'm afraid to ask this, but how do you
feel about seasonal wreaths on the door.

Speaker 3 (01:40:22):
I've always been pro.

Speaker 8 (01:40:24):
Read Oh thank God, reach read white, and you could.

Speaker 3 (01:40:26):
Do a summer read the July read it.

Speaker 4 (01:40:29):
Can it be like a black and orange wreath for Halloween?

Speaker 3 (01:40:31):
That's passable. But if you're changing out your couch pillows
and your candy bowls and oh, it's so stupid, grow
So Greg.

Speaker 14 (01:40:41):
Is this just because you don't like Halloween?

Speaker 13 (01:40:43):
Because for a lot of people to get in the
mood to feel festive, but we want to be in
the mood of the holiday and you just don't want
You can get.

Speaker 3 (01:40:50):
In the mood October twentieth. Why do you have to
get the.

Speaker 4 (01:40:56):
Month of October the whole month?

Speaker 3 (01:40:58):
Okay for Halloween? Even I would be that generous. You
can take October. You don't need to do it months
in advance, and then it overtakes the whole world, this
collective immaturity.

Speaker 4 (01:41:10):
It's Sun's favorite holiday is Halloween. And he was ripping
out because we drove by where Spirit goes in every year,
and they had the pods of all the products that
show up because they put him into these like you know,
when it closes for the season. They put him in
one of those like mobile pods and they all get
picked up and taken us some warehouse somewhere. Those were delivered,

(01:41:31):
the signs on the door talking about like when they're
going to be opening and things like that. So they're
already starting to set up the Spirit Halloween stores.

Speaker 13 (01:41:37):
Yeah, and Greg, I don't disagree with you that it's
too early. But the problem is that if you don't
buy the Halloween stuff now when it's out, when October.

Speaker 14 (01:41:46):
Rolls around, it isn't gone.

Speaker 4 (01:41:49):
Yeah, because you need this season's news, more new stuff.
You need this year's spider el, last year mechanics.

Speaker 3 (01:41:58):
Yeah, it's so basic, bitch.

Speaker 4 (01:42:01):
Last year's pumpkin broke Morgan cheers and jeers.

Speaker 18 (01:42:05):
Well, cheers to me for just being such a stand
up young woman that I am.

Speaker 17 (01:42:10):
Right.

Speaker 18 (01:42:11):
I hit someone's car over the weekend. They're parked car,
they weren't in the car, just back straight into it.

Speaker 17 (01:42:18):
Here we go, bowling crash.

Speaker 18 (01:42:20):
And then I'm like, well, dang it, I need to
leave a note. So I'm looking in the car. I
have a receipt, but I don't have a pin. And
I'm looking in the car and can't find a pin.
And I also noticed someone in their car across the street.
I don't know if they saw me hit the car,
but I'm like, okay, there's people watching. I have to
leave something, right. I'm so nice that I got my
mask scara. I ruined my mass scara and I wrote

(01:42:41):
my phone number on this receipt.

Speaker 17 (01:42:43):
I'll put it on the car so I hope they
never call me, and I hope they can't read it.

Speaker 8 (01:42:48):
It looks psychotic, but it was the right thing to do.

Speaker 18 (01:42:50):
I didn't see any damage, no, but because I just
it was a parked car, I just backed up.

Speaker 13 (01:42:56):
You know, did you only write your number? Yeah, so
they if there's no damn, they don't even know that.
That's why you say me.

Speaker 18 (01:43:01):
I was writing with mascara. You could barely even Yeah.
I ruined the mascara trying to write on the receipt.
But I was proud of myself for not just driving
away and like trying, you know, to do But then
they're probably going to see the receipt and be like,
what is this weird you know, odd weird phone number
for no reason.

Speaker 4 (01:43:19):
Especially they don't notice any damage.

Speaker 9 (01:43:21):
If they don't notice any like if they came back
and there was a dent, they'd be oh, okay, this
is the person, right, there's no damage.

Speaker 4 (01:43:27):
They might even put two and two together.

Speaker 18 (01:43:29):
But even if there's no damage, I feel bad driving
off and not saying.

Speaker 4 (01:43:32):
Well, just in case there was a camera, Yeah exactly.

Speaker 17 (01:43:34):
I mean, who knows who was watching witnesses.

Speaker 4 (01:43:37):
My favorite of the people who get busted now, uh
doing things with tesla's not realizing that these things are recording. Yeah,
it's like idiot. I thought that was so well known.
Now that the teslas have cameras even when they're you
wouldn't even get father to try when they're parked.

Speaker 9 (01:43:55):
Yeah, no face coverings, nothing like yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:44:00):
Oh well, yeah, no problem.

Speaker 8 (01:44:02):
That's fun.

Speaker 17 (01:44:03):
And then Jeer Jeers is minuce.

Speaker 18 (01:44:05):
You know I love Korean barbecue, right, yeah, but I
have no goddamn self control when I go in the
restaurants and I ate so much, and I was getting
the meat sweats, like so you did it right. I
had like my sitting so unlady like, like just chopped
out a chair waiting for my friends to be done.
And then like had three Korean pancakes and you know
those those.

Speaker 8 (01:44:26):
Are so good, this scallion pancakes.

Speaker 17 (01:44:28):
They're so good.

Speaker 18 (01:44:29):
So so jeers to my self control, you just.

Speaker 6 (01:44:33):
Go a hammer, Jeff, cheers and jeers cheers to Friday weddings.

Speaker 5 (01:44:38):
I love them all you do.

Speaker 6 (01:44:40):
At first, I was like, man, afternoon on a Friday,
I just want to go home, take a nap every
the weekend.

Speaker 9 (01:44:44):
But honestly to have it over with by Friday night
at nine.

Speaker 4 (01:44:47):
But yeah, it doesn't take.

Speaker 5 (01:44:49):
Yeah, I got a Saturday Sunday.

Speaker 3 (01:44:51):
Yeah for you.

Speaker 9 (01:44:53):
I like the fourth wedding you went to this week
twice in three weeks.

Speaker 5 (01:44:56):
Yeah, twice and three weeks.

Speaker 3 (01:44:58):
Kind of jealous.

Speaker 6 (01:44:58):
Yeah, it was fun and it it was a great wedding.
Shout out to Quas and as Lady Diana. It was
an awesome time, and thank you for having it on
a Friday.

Speaker 3 (01:45:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:45:06):
You know what I've always seen, the Friday wedding is
an inconvenience. No, you're wedding, you're right where, especially if
it's in town. If you have to travel for it,
that's a pain. That's still a pain in the ass,
and it still takes up your entire weekend because now
you're spending your Saturday can traveling home or hanging out more.
But yeah, if it's a local Friday wedding, that's pretty
good because you're right, you still have your whole weekend.

Speaker 5 (01:45:27):
Yep, it was awesome.

Speaker 6 (01:45:28):
Man, Yeah, not bad and jears. My wife always late,
always late, menace. She was killing me on Friday for
the wedding.

Speaker 10 (01:45:35):
Right.

Speaker 6 (01:45:36):
She started getting ready like ninety minutes before me. I
kind of get in where I fit in, I shower,
I put on my suit.

Speaker 5 (01:45:41):
I'm chilling. Then I go sit on the couch and
wait for her. Right, and I love how she comes
running in to the living room. We gotta go, we
gotta go. We're late, I said, she's been waiting on you.

Speaker 4 (01:45:52):
I know, Yeah, I go, I know.

Speaker 6 (01:45:53):
So I stopped on the way out of the door
to get a drink of water. Why are you getting
water right now? We're gonna be late, I go, I
know we're gonna be late because of you.

Speaker 5 (01:46:01):
Not because of my water.

Speaker 4 (01:46:02):
At this point already seconds.

Speaker 15 (01:46:04):
You know.

Speaker 9 (01:46:04):
I mean, it's weird because you try so many different angles.
You're like, bro, I'm the one that's gonna constantly remind
them that, hey, we need to hurry up, and then
you get yelled at or you don't say anything, and
then we we're gonna be like super late. You know,
there's no way of like You're never gonna have how
to have a discussion.

Speaker 4 (01:46:22):
This has been MENACE's challenge for as long as I've
known him and as long as he's been with Nacho.

Speaker 5 (01:46:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (01:46:27):
The only thing that's helped me, Jeff, and you haven't
been on the show since I mentioned this is buying
a dice in hair dryer because the dice and hair
dryer speeds up drying the hair like like it cuts
a half hour. So at least get an extra half
hour a time. That's it. I can try it, bro,
I'm telling you it's helped. It hasn't fixed the situation,

(01:46:50):
but it's definitely help.

Speaker 8 (01:46:51):
But for dudes, are any of you guilty of this?
Everybody's finally ready to go, and then you go, okay,
hold on, I gotta go to the bath No, no.

Speaker 5 (01:46:58):
No, that was the case.

Speaker 9 (01:46:59):
I have family member dudes like that, like, okay, they
we've been at the house all day, yep, all day,
and we know that we have to leave at this
certain time. And then we all started walking towards the car.
Oh I got to go up to go to the
bathroom real quick or.

Speaker 12 (01:47:15):
Something like that.

Speaker 9 (01:47:16):
We've been in the house, bro, you saw us getting
ready for an hour and a half. Now you have
to go to the bathroom.

Speaker 4 (01:47:22):
So the place that we're going to meet for dinner
was in the same hotel that we were already in.
Didn't have to travel, had to go downstairs, and we're
supposed to meet in fifteen minutes. Now I had gone
back to the room. I was, you know, t shirt,
boxers or whatever, just taking a nap. My wife's like,
you know, we have dinner in fifteen minutes. I'm like, yeah,
I got this. I was up, dressed, shoes on, ready

(01:47:42):
to go, and still had five minutes to kill. That
included taking a leak, brushing my hair.

Speaker 8 (01:47:48):
And you did put the hair and makeup putting on.

Speaker 4 (01:47:52):
You know what I'm saying, Like, I got it, Like
I will be ready on time, same, no problem.

Speaker 5 (01:47:56):
But somehow it's always our fault still.

Speaker 8 (01:47:59):
Sir, of course, leave that water in the sink, sir, please.

Speaker 3 (01:48:02):
What is quote popular and huge show?

Speaker 4 (01:48:09):
Well, you guys remember Punched the monkey. Oh Punch was
abandoned by his mother shortly after birth, and then he
went viral for fruiting it up with that stuffed animal
because none of the other monkeys wanted to be his friend. Well,
he just turned one year old.

Speaker 3 (01:48:26):
Yeah, yeah, and he's doing well right.

Speaker 4 (01:48:28):
He got about twenty five hundred birthday cards and well
wishes from fans all over the world who have been
following his journey. His comeback story has made him one
of the Zoo's biggest attractions. Yeah, the zoo loves it
because it comes out to see you know, punch.

Speaker 8 (01:48:44):
Didn't he get a girlfriend and like a mar.

Speaker 4 (01:48:48):
Imagine how bumb out she's gonna be when he comes
out saying he's gay ruin this poor girl's time. You know. Yeah,
they should auction. Should have known from the stuffed animal.

Speaker 8 (01:48:58):
They should auction that stuffed animal.

Speaker 9 (01:49:01):
Yeah, she's like, oh hey, dude, what's what the what's
with the stuffed animal? Just a yeah, well okay.

Speaker 4 (01:49:11):
So sometimes we have these stories to keep things in perspective, right,
Like you're bumming out because it's still so early in
the week. Yea, God, yeah, such a long week ahead
of us or whatever's going on that's you know, causing
draw in your life. It could be worse. Fifty nine
year old hiker Greg oh here we Go was on
a trail in Utah with his brother when the weather

(01:49:34):
started to turn and at first they didn't see any lightning,
so they decided to keep going, but just before they
reached the top, lightning struck and then not only did
it strike, but one of the hikers took a direct
hit died instantly while his brother watched. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:49:52):
See, there you go.

Speaker 4 (01:49:52):
Another another great hiking story. Stop me when you hear
a really cool one.

Speaker 3 (01:50:00):
And if they were watching a movie, now, yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:50:02):
Watch a movie about hiking. Watch watch somebody else's hike
on uh, you know, on YouTube or something.

Speaker 3 (01:50:09):
Sure, Oh, gotta be a hiking movie out there.

Speaker 9 (01:50:12):
Did you guys see that video last week of that
Chinese rocket that was taken off a guy hit by lightning?

Speaker 3 (01:50:18):
I did not.

Speaker 12 (01:50:18):
Oh it's pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (01:50:19):
Look it up.

Speaker 4 (01:50:19):
Yeah, it's just like and it just kept on going.
It didn't affect anything. Now, yeah, that's pretty cool when
you see like strike, lightning strike, like the Empire State building.
Yeah yeah, but dude dying on a hike watching your
brother died getting hit by lightning. That sucks.

Speaker 3 (01:50:35):
Sucks.

Speaker 4 (01:50:35):
How about this one twenty three year old woman in
Japan was out for a walk and twelve stories above her,
this guy had fallen out of his high rise apartment
and was on his way down, ended up falling directly
on the woman. Oh my god, one of them died.
Guess which one?

Speaker 2 (01:50:50):
Oh?

Speaker 13 (01:50:50):
No, the woman because she broke the other dude's fault.

Speaker 4 (01:50:56):
Yeah, the alehole fell from the sky. He survived. Yeah,
her body broke his fall.

Speaker 8 (01:51:00):
Horrible.

Speaker 4 (01:51:02):
That sucks.

Speaker 15 (01:51:02):
Sucks.

Speaker 4 (01:51:03):
Having a great day. Yeah, you're in Japan a right,
which apparently is Amazingady, So we've heard up.

Speaker 3 (01:51:10):
Until this moment.

Speaker 4 (01:51:11):
How about this one? Anybody feel better about their situation yet? Like, hey, yeah,
how am I complaining about?

Speaker 3 (01:51:16):
I'm glad I don't live in a high rise.

Speaker 4 (01:51:18):
A pair of garbage workers were out, they were doing
their route Milwaukee. Suddenly the back of the trash truck
just exploded. Oh yeah, the explosion happened while the truck
was compacting the trash, and I guess some dummy had
thrown oxygen tanks into his trash cans. Now, both of
the workers in the back, they were caught in the crossfire.

(01:51:39):
One of them got hit in the face, flew back,
had to be sent to the hospital.

Speaker 9 (01:51:44):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:51:45):
Here is a little clip.

Speaker 6 (01:51:47):
That blast officials say was triggered when the truck compacted
the two oxygen tanks that were improperly thrown out along
with regular trash.

Speaker 19 (01:51:55):
And there's a blade that packs it in to make
room for the next low That pressure cause an explosion.
One of the pieces of shrapnel was lodged in his eye.
They were able to remove.

Speaker 4 (01:52:07):
That, yeah eye. Yeah. The worker has been released from
the hospital. Should make a full recovery. Meanwhile, the police
start investigating the insid the person who put the tanks
in there could be looking at a five thousand dollars fine,
but I mean, yeah, kill too bright.

Speaker 3 (01:52:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:52:22):
I wonder if like the worker could come after the
person who put the tanks in there in the first place.
I don't know how that stuff.

Speaker 9 (01:52:29):
Works, That's what I was afraid.

Speaker 12 (01:52:31):
I'm like, I gotta dispose of these these.

Speaker 4 (01:52:34):
Tanks that I got for paying tank propane. I'm like,
I'm not gonna just throw them away now, just bring
him back and you could do that. Have the tank
exchange ones. They'll take any of them. Just bring them,
drop them off, just get them out of your life.

Speaker 12 (01:52:47):
I'm not going to try to kill somebody.

Speaker 4 (01:52:49):
Yeah, do that sucks? So the woods, Yeah somewhere put
them in the woods.

Speaker 1 (01:52:58):
Woody show.

Speaker 4 (01:53:01):
Man, is anything on the up and up or is
everything just bs and corrupt? I'm starting to wonder more
and more. I never I was never so pessimistic about
that kind of stuff until more recently. I mean, like, like,
just how much are we being played or scammed, you

(01:53:24):
know by whether it's local or federal government, you know,
even the companies like charities, Like what are they getting?

Speaker 3 (01:53:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:53:33):
What are they doing with our information? Or I don't know,
is anything actually what you think it is?

Speaker 3 (01:53:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:53:43):
There was a couple of stories. One was this police
chief in Florida forced to resign because he was caught
looking up or hooking up. I said, with this this
woman who was married to the guy that he was investigating.

Speaker 3 (01:53:55):
Oh that's bad optics.

Speaker 4 (01:53:58):
Yeah, so the department got a tip of out, you
know how the chief you know, I guess with text
messages showing the chief and the wife texting about a
lunch and a hotel hookup. And so he got exposed
and he resigned, and now he's the one who's being investigated. Right,
the power of the punani though, yeah, once again on
once again on display now. But then there's this twenty

(01:54:20):
two year old mayor in Georgia who elects a twenty
two year old mayor Georgia. I don't take advice from
twenty two year old. Yeah, Like you see that every
once in a while, like especially with the influencer culture,
Like you'll see this person. It's like you're a fetus,
you know. Yeah, you're twenty two years old, and you're
gonna give me some like really insightful life advice. Dog

(01:54:45):
for those are my favorite. Yeah, I'm saying you know
those people. Yeah, it's like, like, what kind of insight
do you have at twenty two years old? Like some lifetime, yes,
like lifetime of experience. Anyway, you might have a good point,
I'll hear it out, but like it's the energy with
which they bring their message as if I'm sitting here
listening to Yoda.

Speaker 3 (01:55:04):
Anyway.

Speaker 4 (01:55:05):
This twenty two year old mayor in Georgia is being
investigated for his spending habits, and the city he was
elected to watch over took away his city issued credit
cards because the investigation. His name is Jaden Williams. He
was sworn in as the mayor of Stockbridge just six
months ago, but they've already cut off his credit cards,
city used vehicles, and city funds. The city council got

(01:55:28):
information that raised red flags about his spending. Unsure what
Mayor Toddler here was spending his money on, or not
even his money, the public's money on, or how much
was involved in what you're twenty two Pokemon cards OnlyFans like,
what are you spending it on? Mayor Fetus has not

(01:55:50):
been charged with a crime just yet, but he is
presiding over the city council meetings and will continue his
other mayor I mean, what do you do as mayor
of Dockbridge, Georgia.

Speaker 10 (01:56:02):
That's a it's an outer it's an excurb, as they say,
outer suburb of Atlanta.

Speaker 4 (01:56:05):
So it's not not really it's not nothing. Oh I
pictured that to be like a middle of Nowheeresville, that
sort of.

Speaker 10 (01:56:10):
I mean, it's a lot of you know, it's farm
land and stuff, but it's not you know, maybe forty
five minutes or Atlanta.

Speaker 4 (01:56:15):
Whose kid is this?

Speaker 8 (01:56:16):
That's all I want to know.

Speaker 9 (01:56:17):
The youngest current mayor in the United States is twenty
years old. Nice in Henderson, Iowa.

Speaker 8 (01:56:24):
He can't drink.

Speaker 4 (01:56:25):
Yeah, hey, you know, the.

Speaker 10 (01:56:26):
People fought the Revolutionary War were like twelve, Yeah, so
take that. I had anyone, I had a company credit card,
when I was twenty and it was insanely tempting. Thank god,
I'm upstanding purposes, thank god, because I was also megapoor
and I was just sitting like, you know, you run
through my livel if. I pay it back in time

(01:56:47):
before they noticed anything, and then right, nope, no, no no.

Speaker 9 (01:56:50):
Also, I didn't get to finish my sins. Who are
you to assume that it's a man, it's actually a female,
that's the mayor? Shout out, Eva, what are you talking about?

Speaker 4 (01:57:06):
Oh I thought you're talking about I'm like, no, this
is a guy. Jaden Williams is a dude, dumb dude. Yeah, yeah,
he's grounded totally. But who are the people I'm curious
to hear from anybody, Like when you start talking about
how you know the fix is in, and you know,
the the government, local or federal, they're they're just doing whatever.
It's the citizens who are suffering. It's all corrupt, it's

(01:57:30):
all people are getting getting rich off the backs of
you know, the people who are doing the right thing
and going to work, and you're a W two employee,
you're just you're just getting screwed. And people go that
is such a jaded way to think about it. I
would love to figure out, like, how do you still
feel that way? Because I want some of whatever you've got.
What's your proof of this? I don't want I don't

(01:57:52):
want to be this pessimistic. I don't want to feel
the way that I do currently. It's hard not to though.
There's too many stories, there's too many examples because we're
always getting screwed. So this is Stockbridge Mayor's pretty small one. Well, no,
this is that. I mean that that's small, but I
mean it's hard to believe, like when you see, uh,
you know, hundreds of millions of dollars just be in

(01:58:13):
the wind, and then they, you know, hold some kind
of vote to should we do with a forensic investigation?
And then one person goes nope, vetoed.

Speaker 8 (01:58:23):
Yeah, were the internal investigation? We found ourselves in this.

Speaker 4 (01:58:28):
There's enough of those type of examples where it's it's
hard not to be pessimistic. I don't want to be.
I really honestly don't.

Speaker 3 (01:58:35):
Well, men, as you mentioned charities, even charity, I'm suspicious
of charities too.

Speaker 4 (01:58:40):
Yeah, at that point we.

Speaker 12 (01:58:41):
Got to really look into them.

Speaker 3 (01:58:43):
There was a woman who posted this video somewhat recently,
she wanted to donate to UH I believe it was
earthquake relief and so they needed actual physical goods such
as toilet paper. So she did the toilet paper and
put an air tag in it, and it ended up
in some mark that was being sold. Didn't go to
where it was. You think, like, you know what, I

(01:59:05):
wonder how much of stuff that we gave away? Yeah,
ever showed up? Is anything real?

Speaker 4 (01:59:09):
Like we talked about the recycling programs, you know, and
how many times they don't even do that anymore. Trying
to used to buy a bunch of allumit. They don't
do that anymore. They don't even buy that now. So
now just there's a lot of them that just go
right to landfills. So there was just a there was
just a video where they showed the city trash collectors
going around to the parks and the parks have the
three different uh you know, trash cans, and they were

(01:59:32):
taking them off. They all got dumped in the same truck.
So there are individual trash cans people were who knows.
I'm sure there was a lot of garbage that ended
up in the in the bottles and cans, uh bin,
But still they took them out of there. They just
dumped them directly into the one trash truck and then
and then just took off. Yeah, so is there my quie,
Is anything real? That's a good question life, You know

(01:59:52):
now that we're seeing all these videos and these different things,
like is that real? Is this real? Are we all
just being you know, suckered? Yeah, sucker here not the
Woody Show, never four Wooding. You can send us a
text over to two two ninety seven. Oh yeah, follow
up on the AI think Remember we're telling about talking
about some of these people who are so angry about

(02:00:16):
AI posters or flyers. Oh yeah, for things. While this
restaurant in San Francisco, they've been getting a ton of
backlash from people upset about the AI created photos that
were being displayed in the restaurant's windows. They don't They
wanted to put up some pictures of their food since
they're in a more touristy area and it was only
supposed to be temporary. But as soon as they put

(02:00:37):
up that first picture, the backlash was quick. People started
chiming in online, started review bombing the restaurant. Some people
went as far as vandalizing the building with the phrase
seriously question mark spray painted on the building. The staff
heard the message alatting clear. They have since taken down
the AI generated pictures, and they say, there's to move

(02:01:00):
past this whole thing, like this is what I'm talking about,
Like this is what you get up in arms about.

Speaker 3 (02:01:05):
This is what you vandalized, because it's.

Speaker 8 (02:01:07):
The path of least resistance, Like we could ruin this
business just with a.

Speaker 10 (02:01:10):
Couple of clicks, Like why because they because they had
a couple of AI generated signs in the windows.

Speaker 8 (02:01:16):
Because apparently your life is so great that this is
what passes for outrage.

Speaker 3 (02:01:20):
I guess.

Speaker 5 (02:01:20):
And these are the hypocrites that'll take away MO on
the way home.

Speaker 4 (02:01:23):
Oh for sure, that's right. Yeah, no, no real driver
behind that car.

Speaker 5 (02:01:28):
Yeah exactly.

Speaker 4 (02:01:29):
You're not taking away those jobs.

Speaker 8 (02:01:31):
Chat GBT, How should I write this letter to this company?

Speaker 4 (02:01:34):
You could have had a professional photographer show up and
take pictures of your food. Then you could have given
it over to a graphics department and a professional graphics artist.
We're up in fire, And then you could have brought
up a professional printing establishment and had them print the
pictures then to put up in your your restaurant where
you're barely making any money. Yeah, get.

Speaker 10 (02:01:52):
Yeah, exactly. And they did a bad job of the
spray paint too. It's one of those things menace. You
might have seen this, and Jeffy, you probably have. I
don't know friends or neighbors who do this.

Speaker 4 (02:02:01):
I see those big.

Speaker 10 (02:02:02):
Pump cans that like shoot like a it's like an
old timey fire extinguisher. Yeah yeah, and so it's yeah,
just leave it so it'll just goes everywhere.

Speaker 4 (02:02:09):
It has barely.

Speaker 9 (02:02:09):
Anything they've been doing lately. Have you seen the ministure
version of that? Or they're taking lighters so they take
out all the lighter fluid and then they put paint
in the lighter and then they spray it that way.
Oh it's kiney and it's ghatto.
