What is due to the graphic nature of his.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Program listener discretion is it lies.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
The Woody Show.

I'm like, this is the Woody Show.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
Insensitivity Training.

And oh yeah, the elephants are amazing.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
I think elephants in general pretty cool.
Speaker 6 (01:27):
They are one of the most interesting things in the world.
Speaker 5 (01:30):
Funerals.
Speaker 4 (01:30):
Well, it's super smart. And I see a lot of
videos where they're like they're doing stuff and you're like, wow,
they're they're they seem like they're pretty uh strategic.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Yeah, you know what I mean. They can problem solve aar. Yeah,
but you're told that their brain is the size of peanut, right.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
They like peanuts too, Is that true? Is it like
like mice like cheese, Like.
Speaker 6 (01:51):
Oh, mice don't like cheese. I recently learned that.
Speaker 4 (01:53):
So they don't like cheese. I heard that rabbits don't
really like carrots.
Speaker 5 (01:56):
But they don't.
Speaker 7 (01:57):
That was totally from a movie. Yeah, from like a
Kerry Grant movie.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
Yeah, and so and so elephants don't like peanuts.
Speaker 8 (02:02):
I don't know, like a couple of things going on here.
Elephant brain is the largest of any land mammals, so
it's bigger than ours.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Why yeah, is it just.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
By scale, like compared to how big their head is,
Like yeah, yeah, yeah, weird.
Speaker 7 (02:15):
Yeah, and they like grass and leaves and bark, not peanuts.
I don't know across Well, that's just because of the zoo.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
Today is a World Calligraphy Day, which seems so old,
tim Yeah, it's a middle child day, Sammy, Are you
a middle child or youngest?
Speaker 9 (02:32):
I'm the youngest girl, but I have a brother who's younger.
Speaker 5 (02:36):
I have two older sisters and a younger.
Speaker 9 (02:37):
Brotherild Yeah, I would to share the middle though, so
it doesn't like not.
Speaker 4 (02:42):
Really a National Vinyl Record Day, and it's also National
Gooey Buttercake Day.
Speaker 5 (02:53):
Inside, I think.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
It's massively overrated. Over Yeah, it's I think I'll I'll
have a bite or two, but like.
Speaker 6 (03:02):
Almost makes me upset that, you know.
Speaker 4 (03:05):
It's Julianne Fries Day. That would that be more like
shoe string fries basically probably.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Yeah, and Julian.
Speaker 4 (03:16):
Julianne cut you know, Yeah, that's like little match eighth inch.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:20):
Yeah, they're real thin, real joints. Well, I was asking
me if we've seen like the vegetables like a zucchini
are like zucchinis that are cut that way.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
I considered like super French, super French. Yeah, it's incredibly Yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
Alright, so Jeff, do you want to break the news
to Bort who's gonna be who's gonna be coming by?
Speaker 10 (03:42):
Oh?
Speaker 11 (03:43):
Yeah, the Mandalorian and grogu Hell.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
Yeah, I'm excited, like the best news ever. Yeah, we
just got an email that they're gonna be they're gonna become.
I don't think it's like guests per se on the show.
I think they're just kind of coming around and and
doing some like you know photo opportunities exactly.
Speaker 11 (04:00):
Make sure everybody gets a picture for the Instagram.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
Yeah, so I figured to make your day with that. Also,
I want to see how different the opinions could end
up being here. I don't know, maybe Greg will think
it's really cool. Okay, but here we go. This is
for you board a Star Wars fan, because that's your
well Transformers number one, right or Star Wars, I mean
number two.
Speaker 5 (04:21):
They kind of tied for first into that universe.
Speaker 4 (04:24):
Yeah, I love but I'm saying Transformers and Star Wars
are his two biggest the best, yes, yeah, his two
biggest things. And all right, so star Wars. A Star
Wars fan from the UK visited one of Disney's Galaxy's
Edge Parks, not sure if it was Florida or the
one in Anaheim, but when he got home he missed
it and thought it was so cool he decided to
build a spaceship bar in his backyard. Greg okay, hold on,
(04:49):
Greg hold On. It cost him around twelve thousand dollars cool.
He built the outside of wood, rubber, foam, and fiberglass.
He used tongue and groove boards and tunel on the side,
and the spaceship has like the controls. There's a monitor
that's set up to look like a windshield.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
He says.
Speaker 4 (05:07):
When he first started telling family and friends and neighbors
about his idea, they were quote skeptical. But now that
it's built, quote, everyone absolutely loves it. So I have
some pictures here Greg, and we'll let Greg be the
judge of that.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
But I also here.
Speaker 4 (05:22):
I'll show I'll show Bort Okay, cool, let's this is?
This is in his backyard. What kind of ship would
this be? This kind of reminds me of what they
have on the ride, like the transport thing that they
use to like transport the prisoners.
Speaker 12 (05:33):
It looks like an escape pod pretty much, an escape pod,
like a shuttle escape pod.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
Yeah, you know, it looks like it kind of looks
like an airstream camper. Even though he built this thing,
it looks like he kind of wrapped an airstream trailer
and then put like a couple and then put a
couple of engines on the side. Here as I passed
the outside pictures, now one Greg is just a close
up of this spaceship bar the bar thing he built.
And that one's kind of more like an aerial looking
down on the backyard. So as a neighbor, this is
(05:58):
what you would see.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
That's definitely an airstream.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
No, he built it. There's a whole video of him
building it. He built the frame and everything out of
an airstream. No, no, like wood and wood and stuff
and so. But that's what it looks like. It looks
like you just took like an air Yeah.
Speaker 6 (06:12):
Okay, this guy has no business building anything. This is terrible.
It looks like first of all, it's a camping trailer
number one, number two. It's not though.
Speaker 4 (06:22):
Again he built it from scratch, but it looks like putty.
Speaker 6 (06:25):
Like it looks like putty. It looks like it's been
primed but not painted. And it also looks like it
got tinted for termites.
Speaker 4 (06:33):
Yeah that's Star Wars.
Speaker 6 (06:34):
It has these stupid rockety things on the side of
the Star Wars. Okay, yea, and he built it. He
could have chosen a shape that's more sleek. This would
not be aerodynamic. It's so dumb. This is would you
need aerodynamic in space?
Speaker 2 (06:51):
I don't know. It looks like something I should be
in space balls not.
Speaker 8 (06:55):
Yes, A lot of these stars, a lot of these
space ships and star Wars go in and out of atmosphere,
so yes you would.
Speaker 4 (07:00):
Oh, I guess that's true. You know what fair points.
I was just thinking strictly space.
Speaker 6 (07:06):
It's just really dumb. And if I had a two
story house and live next to this yard, I would
look down at it with so much anger.
Speaker 8 (07:14):
That's the good news, right, it's mostly obstructed by fencing
and trubs.
Speaker 4 (07:18):
Okay, they're not looking so bored as a big time
Star Wars fan.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Awful, Like, what do you.
Speaker 4 (07:24):
What do you give this?
Speaker 12 (07:25):
I would give it personally out of ten?
Speaker 4 (07:28):
Would you mind if this was next audium? This is
your show?
Speaker 12 (07:32):
Me and Wacko, who does a lot of videos for
us here. We send videos like this all the time
to each other. People building their.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Own Star Wars bars.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
They're on Star Wars rooms seen like Star Wars like
man caves. It's awesome.
Speaker 12 (07:42):
Even the interior looks pretty like to scale of what
would be in a Star Wars movie. But like this
is the start of a to scale the real ones.
Somebody could become a prop master doing this show.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
The inside looks better than the outside.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
Oh yeah, that would never be at a theme park.
That's way too low quality. Okay, so eight point five.
The guy built in his backyard. He's not a Disney
Imagine here, which is an out of ten build.
Speaker 6 (08:05):
This is what you would give. The interior shots are
if you wanted to make your five year old son's
bedroom a little more exciting.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
For him getting but you didn't really careg what do
you give it?
Speaker 6 (08:17):
Not even a one? A zero point three.
Speaker 5 (08:20):
We can't even start traction.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
It's terrible.
Speaker 4 (08:23):
If you if you go online and People magazine did
like a big write up about this, about this dude.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
About this guy. All you want to do is type
in spaceship bar Uk and you can find it.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
Yeah, like Star Wars Spaceship bar Uk. It pops right up.
You'll see and love it.
Speaker 6 (08:40):
They're just being nice.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
Look, it's no Brady Bunch house.
Speaker 6 (08:43):
Come on, you got that right, You got that right? Yeah,
twelve thousand dollars in the toilet?
Speaker 4 (08:49):
Yeah, what did you say? What did you say? Your
favorite Star Wars movie is Empire Strikes Back, Empire Strikes Yeah,
and Return the Ged. And then as far as all
the shows and everything, because there's a ton of shows
tied between the Mandalorian, Like the Mandalorian is so freaking good.
And then the Clone Wars series. Yeah, yeah, yeah, he's
always talking about the animated sa It is some of
(09:10):
the best Star Wars anyone could ever watch it. So
if you wanna, if you want to geek, come out
with Star Wars. I mean, board's definitely.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
Right, yeah the war.
Speaker 4 (09:19):
Let's go alright, top for your birthdays show.
Speaker 6 (09:25):
It's shivery, it's shiver and.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
You know we don't and we'll start with the celebrities.
Happy birthday to Sir mix a Lot. He likes big butts.
He cannot lie. I thought he died, Sir mix No
he didn't. It's just a friend guy. What's his name,
bis Marquis Baby, Yeah, Chis Mark.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
He died.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
I all think Sir mix a Lot died.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
Look that.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
Yeah he's fine. He's sixty three. Casey Affleck, the Academy
Award winning actor. It's fifty one. George Hamilton, famous for
being tanned old timing like calligraphy. Yeah, he's eighty seven.
Rebecca Oh here, I wanted I wanted to have the
(10:11):
the clip ready. Yeah, it's Rebecca Heart. Rebecca Gayheart is
fifty five. That was worth it to me. I think
that that was still that was that was fun. It
was Michael Ian Black, the comedian actor is fifty five.
Then Tyson Fury the boxer is thirty eight. Your Parno
Berta today is Nika nuts And today's birthday girl. She
(10:35):
has swallowed more than a black hole in fifty four
fine films, including sharing toys and orgasms. She was in
sex break while cleaning Volume one. There you go, Greg,
that sounds like you know, two great things. She was
in Nika Nutt gets Slutty Outdoors. Yes, love my stepmother's milk,
Volume one, Tyler. This one called art turns lesboson. She
(11:00):
was in hotty orgasms to stimulate her mind. And then
who can forget her unfittab role in Lesbians eating cake
for breakfast So rambo, they're so naughty.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
Yeah, you don't do that.
Speaker 4 (11:12):
That's a Nika Nutt who is twenty seven years old.
Speaker 2 (11:14):

In the meantime, enjoyed the Woody Show podcast.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
Oh really, No Woody Show, And it's that time, the
time where we check in with Gina grad to see
what's happening out there trending news headlines.
Speaker 7 (12:13):
Well, I know you guys are going to be super stoked.
We have a Luigi Mangioni updates.
Speaker 5 (12:18):
Yes, yeah, tell.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
Me there are pictures of the hot Oh all right.
Speaker 7 (12:23):
Well, the judge ruled the jurors will stay anonymous to
the public because quote, there's a risk of harassment, intimidation,
and outside influence from both sides. Right, So, just to
give you an idea of the hype around this case
that starts next month about twenty Mangioni. Supporters packed the
back rows of the courtroom yesterday and more than eighty
media outlets are covering the trial. So if you thought
(12:44):
this was already a circus, you really ain't seen nothing
until they seat this jury.
Speaker 4 (12:48):
Heard an interesting story when I was at this radio conference,
something I had never heard because I know all the
people involved. So the breakfast club, the radio show with Charlottage,
the god dj Envy, they're out of New York City,
and the building where the radio station is is like
right next door to where this all took place. And
(13:10):
so dj Envy showed up that morning and he's got
a security guy that you know, travels with him, and
they saw this really weird guy kind of like hunched over,
hoodie over his head. The whole thing thought it was weird,
decided to go into the building through a back way
to avoid this person. That person turned out to be
Luigi Right. Another guy who works at the Classic rock
(13:33):
station was downstairs, you know, smoking a dart and had
his cigarette. Came back in minutes later is when the
police were just all over the place because the shooting
had just happened minutes after he finished smoking a cigarette,
and then another guy who does work for our show remotely,
you know, he's like a remote producer for us, works
(13:55):
at that same station. And to get to his car
because his car was parked like just two bots down
on the street from you know where this whole thing
took place, so he had to be walked through the
crime scene to get to his car. I'd never heard
any of this stuff before. I talk to these people
all the time.
Speaker 5 (14:10):
And this just came up.
Speaker 4 (14:12):
Yeah, yeah, good god, Yeah, like it was right there,
like you know, Envy saw this guy. Uh, you know,
this guy Jim was smoking a cigarette and moments later
is when the shooting happened. Yeah, it was pretty wild.
Speaker 5 (14:27):
That's insane.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
And within minutes We're not talking like, oh, it's kind
of I walked through that area once.
Speaker 5 (14:32):
Yeah, I would say like it was like earlier, it.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
Was within moments.
Speaker 5 (14:38):
That's so insane. Yeah, crazy, Well tonight.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
Yeah, no, I was gonna say, what's crazy? As you
say smoking a dart, I feel like I'm hearing that
more and more. Yeah, but smoking at Dart because you
know Tom's girl and his wife just Christina, Christina, uh
whatever did she finally released podcast after and then that's
(15:01):
all she said, is like I'm gonna smoke a dart.
Like through the entire podcast, I'm like, I never hear
anybody say smoke a dart.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
That's been around for a long time. Yeah, it's not new.
Speaker 7 (15:11):
Well tonight's powerball jackpot is over a billion dollars officially.
That's the biggest powerball jackpot of twenty twenty six and
still the eighth largest in history.
Speaker 5 (15:20):
We can't get to the next crack that seven.
Speaker 4 (15:23):
It could be somebody's last day of work, maybe sew
for sure.
Speaker 7 (15:28):
If you if you somehow beat those odds, you know
they're one in two hundred ninety two point two million,
you can take the yearly payout or grab the lump
some which is a nice little payout of four hundred
and thirty three million dollars. So yeah, someone might become
a billion at a night. We probably won't see him tomorrow.
And Mother Nature is putting the hurt on inmates now.
Sixteen inmates at Ohio's Graft and Correctional Institution near Cleveland
(15:52):
were sent to the hospital after lightning struck the press.
Speaker 4 (15:56):
Not only are you in prison, you're in prison in Cleveland.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
Yeah, and you get hit by light.
Speaker 7 (16:00):
Exactly, were heading back from dinner when the lightning struck.
One person was hurt so badly they had to be
airlifted to the hospital. No deaths though, So are they
lucky or unlucky? Yeah, might be lucky.
Speaker 4 (16:15):
Did you see the video of the guy. They're out
on the golf course and he's standing under a tree
and he's watching his buddy who's got his golf card,
kind of just outside of the shade or the cover
of the tree shade.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
In the rain.
Speaker 4 (16:26):
But anyway, thunder and lightning going on, and this guy
is standing under the tree gets hit by lightning. He's
the one videotaping, laughing at his buddy, and all of
a sudden.
Speaker 5 (16:33):
Like, oh my god, does he just go straight down?
Speaker 2 (16:37):
Yeah? The video ends.
Speaker 4 (16:38):
You don't say, I don't know if he if anybody
else saw that knows more about it. Did that guy
live or die? I don't I'm thinking he lived.
Speaker 5 (16:45):
That sounds like a very Sopranos ending.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
Yeah, I just don't know what happened. But here, buddy,
you died, and your buddy still uploads the video to
the internet.
Speaker 4 (16:55):
These views dudes, you know.
Speaker 7 (16:58):
Yeah, Well, speaking of riding the lightning, you're gonna love this, Woodie. Tennessee, Alabama,
and Oklahoma plan to execute inmates tomorrow and what would
be the first time in nearly sixteen years that three
people are put to death on the same day.
Speaker 4 (17:12):
No, yes, yeah, I like the efficiency. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (17:17):
Alabama is scheduled to execute Jeremy Williams. He raped and
murdered a five year old. He also killed his own daughter.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
He'll be yeah, you know what, you know, I'm not
sure what we're gonna do without him, but.
Speaker 5 (17:27):
You need him.
Speaker 6 (17:28):
And you know, they'll be people outside the prison protesting.
Speaker 7 (17:31):
Oh yeah, every time Tennessee plans to should put them
in there with them.
Speaker 13 (17:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
Right.
Speaker 7 (17:35):
They plan to execute Anthony Darryl Hines, who stabbed a
woman to death, and Oklahoma is scheduled to execute Carlos
Quaista Rodriguez, who murdered his girlfriend.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
It'll be fun, okay, So all the people that want
to save the person, right, Okay, so you give everybody
a button, right, and then everybody's got you get a
chance to push the button. Now that button will either
result in him being stayed. Yeah a that that's what
flips the switch.
Speaker 6 (18:02):
Oh, It's like when you come through customs in Caracuon.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
Oh yeah, you fushed that button. If it's red, you
gotta look.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
Give your conditional screening and stuff.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
Now the trick is, see is it always just executes
the guy?
Speaker 10 (18:14):
Ah?
Speaker 4 (18:15):
Well, I mean you know, luck of the draw.
Speaker 7 (18:17):
Yeah yeah, Well eleven states executed a total of forty
seven people last year, which is the highest number since
two thousand and nine, and so far this year there
have been nineteen executions.
Speaker 5 (18:30):
Excellent, So fut start keep going on the right track.
Speaker 6 (18:34):
Yeah, you go.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
This goes you know to my other idea that I
had for death row is that when you have a
person who's scheduled to be executed, you don't tell the
person what day it's supposed to happen. It's always a
mystery because guess what, their victim didn't have that luxury.
They weren't told today's your last day, Like, oh, you know,
two weeks from now is your day? I'm told that.
(18:58):
So every day there's like a guy who comes in,
starts walking down the you know, walking down the road,
pre shows up, kind of looks in, goes kind of
like we do for a hot seat. Yeah, I say,
it's like the hot seat, all right, menace today is
not your day. Stand by and just let him sweat
it out, you know what I mean. Go down to
(19:19):
the next one, get the key into the lock and go.
You know, he's not working. Today's not your day. And
then you go to this other guy, all right, man,
let's go and then you that's.
Speaker 6 (19:29):
It, that's what. Yeah, it is your day.
Speaker 4 (19:30):
Yeah, they didn't, they didn't give their their victims that
kind of you know, courtesy.
Speaker 5 (19:35):
That's a great point.
Speaker 4 (19:36):
Yeah, and just let them every day. Wonder is today
the day?
Speaker 6 (19:40):
And then we also have to do away with the
whole He's not healthy enough to be executed today, so
we're going to wait a week.
Speaker 5 (19:45):
How does that work? Give him some penicillin and then.
Speaker 4 (19:48):
Right, yeah, it doesn't matter. It's like when you tell
the person who's like, you know, ninety one years old
and they're in hospice and you tell me they can't
have a cigarette?
Speaker 2 (19:56):
Why, yeah, smoking.
Speaker 7 (19:58):
Card a day enough? What happened to putting people out
of their misery?
Speaker 2 (20:02):
Yeah, yes, it's all so stupid. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (20:06):
Well, finally it's back to school season. The University of
Michigan is in the news for something they're rolling out.
Check out this headline. It says University of Michigan, pivoting
away from letter grading system to quote curb the mental
health crisis.
Speaker 5 (20:20):
Among college students. You got to so you get like
a sunshine or a rainbow.
Speaker 7 (20:24):
Incoming freshmen in their College of Literature, Science, and Art
won't have traditional letter grades on their transcript for their
first semester. Their official transcripts and GPAs will only show
pass or no credit. The University of Michigan says the
idea is to ease the transition into college and help
with mental health pressures facing college.
Speaker 4 (20:45):
Well, that's not preparing these kids for real life. Like,
if you were going to do that, you should have
done that in high school. But here's the thing with
college is the prep course for life what it's supposed
to be.
Speaker 5 (20:55):
I totally agree. But here's the thing.
Speaker 7 (20:56):
Every time I hear you or someone say that's not
preparing them for real life, it gives me a pit
in my stomach because I think, oh, no, this is
the real life they're creating. This is going to be
their real life. Yeah everything, Yeah, this is the new
real life.
Speaker 5 (21:10):
That's scarier.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
Ninety percent of it is just showing up, and it's
just saying you just show up the class and you're
going to pass.
Speaker 5 (21:17):
Yeah, you'll get a horsey instead of an egg.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
Yeah, you get to stop by the treasure chest.
Speaker 5 (21:22):
Yeah, exactly, Penciler, that's right.
Speaker 6 (21:25):
I see your point. It kind of is becoming real life.
Speaker 5 (21:27):
Yeah, like that is now.
Speaker 6 (21:29):
Especially through changing language. You know, Oh, don't call them
homeless their own house, neighbors, like stuff like that is
unlived and unlived. It makes it just so soft soft.
Speaker 5 (21:40):
And I get it.
Speaker 7 (21:41):
Language changes. That is always has But yeah, I think
like we're preparing them for We're not prepared for the
life that they're stepping into. Like we're used to working hard.
Speaker 6 (21:50):
It's very rare that I get slightly happy that I'm
kind of getting older, you know, because I think, like
I kind of don't want to see what's happening in
the future.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
I'll be happy to be gone.
Speaker 7 (21:59):
Yeah, because Greg and I are those people that we
don't need to be like the ten people that survived
the apocalypse.
Speaker 4 (22:05):
Texting over a couple different updates, three two three says
the guy who got struck by the lightning on the
golf course, he will have a full recovery. Uh. Someone
for says, if you execute the killer you're as bad
as the killer. If you execute the guy who raped
and murdered five year old girl and then also killed
his own young daughter, you're totally the same by executing
(22:26):
that person as a consequence of his actions through the
legal means, like he went through this is not vigilante process. Yeah,
thing that makes you just as bad as the guy
who raped and murdered a five year old.
Speaker 5 (22:38):
That's an interesting directly that is you nailed, nailed it.
Speaker 4 (22:44):
Retarded.
Speaker 5 (22:46):
It's still early show.
Speaker 4 (22:50):
So this guy from the ESPN Matt Miller, he's one
of their analysts. He survived a car crash, but it
did cost him his arm, and now he's being charged
because according to the cops, is super sweet and he's
got a Ford Bronco. He crossed the center line and
that's when he slammed onto the oncoming semi. Now the
(23:12):
whole thing on dash cam video. He's thrown from the car.
Like I said, saved his life, but left arm is done. Done,
So he's stepping away from his gig at ESPN and
definitely and not only this issue and the charges now,
but Matt also has the Missouri Attorney General investigating him
(23:34):
for fantasy football leagues that allegedly didn't pay out winnings
to the participants. So it's got a lot going.
Speaker 5 (23:41):
On, right, he's busy man. Yeah, his wife must be thrilled.
Speaker 4 (23:45):
Yeah, what was okay that documentary? What's her name? Owens?
The la the daughter of the radio guy Ron Owens?
Who's this Bay area like San Francisco.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
Bay area radio guy? Radio legend?
Speaker 4 (24:00):
Okay. I think legend's another one of those words. It
gets thrown around too much. But in this case, by
the way, especially by Jeff, I've noticed a lot whenever
there's like somebody agreed, whoever, like totally agreed, legend, I
completely agreed, But I say legend a lot.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
Yeah, that's one of your crudjets.
Speaker 4 (24:17):
I think some of.
Speaker 11 (24:18):
It can be sarcasm a little bit, but I do
use that word alone.
Speaker 4 (24:22):
But in Ron's case, it does pertain anyway. So I
heard you guys talking about the daughter. This is the
daughter that like made up all this.
Speaker 7 (24:30):
Crazy multiple pregnancies. Yeah, yeah, I perjured herself like fifty
billion times.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
But she makes because she did it to somebody that
was Now.
Speaker 4 (24:41):
I was reading some radio industry trade publication thing yesterday,
some news site I didn't know that Ron Owens had
his own legal issues.
Speaker 5 (24:49):
Oh yeah, and his wife Jance.
Speaker 4 (24:52):
So the dad of that crazy chick.
Speaker 6 (24:55):
Yeah, there's a lot going on in that regard. Now,
correct if I'm wrong, But and I'm not going to
get into specifics, even though it's publican foe. Ron is
going through some pretty serious health issues. They claim that
quote somebody set up a GoFundMe to help a friend,
to help with medical expenses.
Speaker 4 (25:15):
I saw something about the GoFundMe in the article.
Speaker 7 (25:17):
That even in the goun that this will not be
used for Laura's you know.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
Defense, Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 6 (25:22):
And it turns out it was the wife, Ron's wife
that set up the GoFundMe, not a friend. And then
they did an audit to find that out of one
hundred and thirty five thousand raised, I believe it was
about two hundred and eighty dollars went to a Copey
and the rest was for their Macy's mortgage, like thousands
(25:44):
a month for Yeah.
Speaker 4 (25:45):
So the article that I saw was about how they
had tried to declare bankruptcy. The bankruptcy got denied.
Speaker 5 (25:51):
Because they're closing on their house.
Speaker 4 (25:53):
Now they're saying the court at least is saying that, no,
we don't believe that your financial situation is as Diers
you're painting it out to be. So you're not allowed
to declare bankruptcy for the next two or three years.
And now this opens the door with all the creditors
for the neast two or three years to come get whatever.
Speaker 5 (26:10):
And that's why we'll just take the house.
Speaker 4 (26:12):
And there's gonna be a weird Christmas and Thanksgiving between
Laura and the daughter going down, the dad, the wife's
all involved.
Speaker 9 (26:20):
Yeah, but on the door dash thing, we go, no,
it is reasonable because people who are going through medical issues,
that's one of the biggest things. People set up meal trains.
They're sending food to them all day.
Speaker 5 (26:31):
We'll give them door dash.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
Okay, I'm like the dollars worth Well, the court, I'm
sure has information.
Speaker 5 (26:39):
That we don't have.
Speaker 4 (26:41):
Yeah, that was made visible to them that I said, oh,
we know what, We're not really convinced.
Speaker 7 (26:46):
And like any the alleged con artists, this kept getting
pushed back and pushed back and pushed back because they
just you know, it's like, oh, the checks and the
mail did it fall out of the envelope like a lot.
Speaker 5 (26:55):
Of things were done when it was.
Speaker 2 (26:56):
Supposed to be. These are the type of people Greg
is friends with.
Speaker 4 (26:59):
Yeah, this is Greg's but he's a friend or you
just like know him, like it's a like a professional acquaintance.
Speaker 6 (27:08):
He has since moved to Arizona. But when we were
in the same city, we would go to dinner.
Speaker 4 (27:13):
On the run, yes, go on the lamb.
Speaker 6 (27:15):
We would hide out and we would scam. But the
backpedaling is incredible because this go fund me not only
now are they saying, uh, you know what, it wasn't
a friend, it was you that set it up. Now
she's saying that it's out in the open. And I
never said it was for medical expenses, which was exactly
go fundmes are for. It's exactly what you mean for
(27:38):
other people.
Speaker 4 (27:39):
We've had the game that we play on the show
Go fund Yourself, where Seabats finds those people who are
like just trying to go on a trip somewhere.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
But at least they say this is what it's for
about it.
Speaker 7 (27:48):
Yeah, And they have another daughter who lives in New York,
who they say is very sympathetic and very but I
mean clearly.
Speaker 5 (27:55):
Wants no part of this family's drama.
Speaker 7 (27:57):
Can you imagine it's like my sister, my parents, Like
I got to get away from these people.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
Yeah. Yeah, I'm like, I don't know, Greg, do you
want to still be friends with them?
Speaker 6 (28:07):
I mean I haven't talked to him in a long time.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
Yeah, I'm just wondering, man, Like, you know, you see
these things and I think to myself, and it sucks
to have to think this way. You see or hear
about from somebody that you know, like trust whatever, friends with,
family with or whatever, a gofund me or something that's happening,
and you go, Okay, maybe I should wait, is this real?
Speaker 2 (28:29):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (28:29):
You know what I mean, Like you're second guessing. You're
second guessing everything because it seems like everybody is trying
to scam everybody.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
Yeah, and everything.
Speaker 4 (28:36):
Somebody said, I just got an email from an aunt
that's say that she was having a party and she
sent out the evite and you click on the invitation,
It's it's some sort of cyber hack from another country. God,
evites are trashy, right, Greg. Yeah, it's like it's like
it's like digital cards.
Speaker 2 (28:52):
Yeah, it's like the ivitation. I'm surprised they were able
to raise so much money.
Speaker 5 (28:59):
Yeah, and you love this guy.
Speaker 7 (29:01):
And I literally just gave to a GoFundMe this morning
and thought to myself, I love being in a world
where we're willing to help each other.
Speaker 5 (29:08):
And then you have stories.
Speaker 4 (29:09):
Sure, sure it's good, but there's so many charities where
you know, the overhead of that charity is so high,
very little of the money that they bring in goes
to the actual charity, or there's so many hopes that
people have to jump through just to try to get it.
So clearly somebody set it up to have a nice
little paycheck coming in, have it be like something that
not a lot of people really question. And then you
(29:32):
get to say you do it all for charity, and
you know, look like a really good person. But the
people who are supposed to benefiting from it have like
a hell of a time trying to get any benefit
from it.
Speaker 7 (29:42):
And when when you come out, like when it comes
out that you're completely full of crap, doesn't go fund
me shut that down like they.
Speaker 5 (29:50):
Do that a lot.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
I think, so I would do so because that's.
Speaker 5 (29:54):
Kind of on that's the responsibility I would.
Speaker 4 (29:56):
Know, because the money is with GoFundMe. So do you
get your money back because it is like if you
donated to the go fundme, like how it turns out
it's it's a it's a thing, like does GoFundMe just
send the money back down.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
To yeah account, Yeah, so they get access.
Speaker 4 (30:15):
I thought it would have to be until the GoFundMe
closes and then once it closes, they send them the
money in the meantime. Maybe it said I don't know
how it works. I don't know how it works, but
I certainly know I'm not giving anything to the Owen's family.
The legends that they are, the legend.
Speaker 6 (30:31):
That's the ultimate case.
Speaker 4 (30:32):
Never heard of him, Yeah, dude, you're from You're from
the San Francisco radio for sixteen years in San Francisco.
I heard the name, but I never heard of him
until I knew a lot of legends in that area.
But yeah, and that's working in that city. That shocks
will still never heard because before they had the station,
(30:55):
was he on KG Powerhouse.
Speaker 6 (30:57):
Which no longer exists.
Speaker 4 (30:58):
Never listened to that station, Maybe that's what.
Speaker 6 (31:00):
Yeah, it was the number one station for I think
twenty five years before they was rating.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
A top station.
Speaker 5 (31:05):
But if that's not your station, you don't know who's.
Speaker 2 (31:07):
On No, I would know, Like in that market, no
one will no. But like doctor don Rose, that's like
see in the same everybody knew who that dude was.
Sure rickshaw rip.
Speaker 4 (31:19):
Did they really have a thing on GoFundMe where you
can tip? Okay?
Speaker 2 (31:22):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, somebody would.
Speaker 4 (31:24):
Text just texted over. I found out the GoFundMe.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
What's what?
Speaker 1 (31:28):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (31:28):
Quote tip?
Speaker 7 (31:29):
I donated to this morning a couple hundred dollars to
somebody who desperately needed it for one Can I can actually?
Speaker 5 (31:37):
Can I say who it is?
Speaker 4 (31:39):
I mean, if you want to, I would like to.
Depends on what it's for, we might make fun of it.
Speaker 5 (31:43):
I go for it. I think it make you a
really bad person.
Speaker 4 (31:46):
Well, we don't know what it is. It's like, oh
this person does.
Speaker 7 (31:49):
Okay, I'll just put it on put them on a
blast right now?
Speaker 2 (31:52):
Yeah, you know.
Speaker 5 (31:53):
Are well.
Speaker 7 (31:54):
My very dear friend Bald Bryan from Corolla Show, he's
gotten very.
Speaker 4 (32:00):
He's been sick for he's gotten sicker and he is
not doing cans cancer.
Speaker 7 (32:05):
Right brain cancer, but he's having als symptoms. He's having
a trouble breathing, he can't move his hands, he's in
the hospital.
Speaker 5 (32:11):
It's very bad.
Speaker 7 (32:12):
So they're trying to get home care. They're trying to
get all kinds of stuff. So please go to go
fund me for Brian Bishop with a wife. So I donated,
you know, a couple hundred bucks and it said like
two hundred and thirty seven, and I go, that's weird.
Speaker 5 (32:25):
I put in two hundred What is this? And it
said do you want to tip? GoFundMe?
Speaker 7 (32:29):
And I'm like, is this like when you Is this
like when you order on your own at like the
fast food.
Speaker 2 (32:33):
Place, tip goes to you to go go fund I
can explain it.
Speaker 5 (32:38):
I didn't know either.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
Go fund me try. Go fund Me tries to give
as much funds to whoever needs the funds, but they
still have to operate the website. So they asked like, hey,
do you want It's kind of like Wikipedia that are
always asking for like donations to keep the website going.
It's just help to keep the website going.
Speaker 4 (32:59):
I like wikip, I don't care if it sticks around,
not enough to make a tip while you're here. While
you're here, I'll use your mostly correct information. But if
it went away tomorrow, Yeah.
Speaker 7 (33:13):
I've seen what age it says, I am on there,
I'm good with just hey.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
I'm gonna click the hell.
Speaker 4 (33:25):
And we kind of got on a tangent that last
segment talking about uh, the guy from ESPN, Matt Miller,
who survived the car crash, lost his arm, but survived
the car crash. According to the cops, he crossed over the
center line and he slammed head on into this, uh,
this truck, and doctor saved his arm.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
I'm gonna saved his life and not his arm.
Speaker 4 (33:46):
Yeah, And so he's being charged for not maintaining you know, line,
center line whatever whatever that that charge is. But it
just you know, it's compounded because he's got the Missouri
Attorney General investigating him for that fantasy football league where
they allegedly didn't pay out the winnings to the contestants.
(34:07):
And dumbass Tyler was telling me how there's a thought
out there that this was a failed suicide attempt. Damn right,
because he was being investigated. So, like, you made a
good point. It's like sons of anarchy man Jack's teller. Yeah, exactly, Yeah,
just like right into a truck just ends it all.
Speaker 2 (34:28):
Would the repercussions of that be worthy of a suicide attempt. Well,
I'm sure it's like wire or fraud and that's always big, right.
Speaker 4 (34:35):
Yeah, I don't know. I don't know, like what the
what the end result could be, if there's jail time
or whatever for that. I mean, some people can't handle
the smallest inconvenience, you know, or the smallest you know,
stress stress, you know, and they forgot, well who is
this here? Oh the quitter Brad Pitt? Right, yeah, yeah,
(34:59):
turn up. So Brad Pitt was doing this interview with
Esquire and about how he's drinking again and seven years
or something, and then I guess the topic of suicide
came up. And he said the one and only time,
Brad Pitt, the one and only time he ever thought
about it. It was about family stuff. That's all he
would say. Family stuff.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
There's some thing that happened with him in a private
jet that's like torn apart his family ever since.
Speaker 4 (35:23):
Really it was like a scuffle.
Speaker 9 (35:24):
He was wasted on it.
Speaker 5 (35:26):
Yeah, and apparently they had like restrain him. He kids did.
Speaker 4 (35:28):
He scared his whole family.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
Yeah, all changed their last names.
Speaker 4 (35:32):
And for not following celebrity news. I didn't know about that.
Speaker 2 (35:36):
It all happened because of this one private jet.
Speaker 4 (35:38):
When he said family stuff, I just figured like, oh,
it's because they were going through their separation.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
And divorce.
Speaker 5 (35:45):
Or metal or whatever hold him down.
Speaker 4 (35:48):
But if Brad Pitt's considering, even for a brief moments,
like dude, you're Brad Pitt, You're rich, You're you're the
example that everybody used, well no, Brad Pitt. Yeah, you know,
you're that handsome that you're the example that people would
use for the longest time decades.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
You've become a yeah.
Speaker 4 (36:06):
So I mean, you know, not everybody's cut out to
hang in there, you know, and they at least consider
whether they try attempt to go through with it.
Speaker 2 (36:14):
That's that's that's a different thing about balance, Brad, you know.
Speaker 4 (36:18):
Yeah, take it from Menace bread.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (36:21):
Also, Greg would like to applaud the fact that you're
back drinking.
Speaker 11 (36:23):
Absolutely.
Speaker 4 (36:26):
I was just reading about the whole thing. I'm like,
oh there, why is this the news story right? People
talking about it because he was very vocal. I guess
because Bradley Cooper had helped him get sober and that
was six years ago. But man, he's back baby. Yeah,
So he's drinking in a more restrained manner. He says, quote,
I have a quote here. I can have a few
(36:46):
glasses of wine, but I can't have a lot. I
have to be professional about it.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
That's good balance can sixty two.
Speaker 6 (36:53):
By the way, Yeah, drinking up.
Speaker 5 (36:55):
Yeah, everybody's getting those lower facelifts.
Speaker 4 (36:59):
They look good man. That's you know. I got to say, like,
drinking drugs causes so many problems, right, I mean not
just for your health, but in all other ways, your job,
your family, all this other stuff. Thank god, thank god.
I never you know, thank god, I don't have a
taste for alcohol, like I'll drink socially. And Greg and
(37:21):
I Greg, you know, he's very disappointed when I say this.
But if somebody said, you know, hey, Woodie, you can
never have another drop of alcohol in your life, be
it a doctor telling you for whatever medical purpose, or
it was one of the hey, uh, you know, fifty
thousand dollars, but you can never have another drop of
alcohol in your life, like done, same easy, would not
(37:42):
wouldn't be wouldn't wouldn't even be a thought. I would
never think about it. I don't never want to say that.
Speaker 6 (37:47):
I get a about it, Like I can't even fathom
a world where I could say, yeah, I could do that,
no problem.
Speaker 4 (37:55):
And I don't get where I see people who all
they think about is not even like the alcoholics, but
like the the weird kind of browie approach of like yeah,
I just when when do I get to drink again?
Who can't do anything? This thing not just weed people
where it's like, you know, it just has to be weed,
has to be like I'm fine, dude, enjoy whatever it
is that you enjoy, but like when you're fifty years
(38:18):
old and anything and everything that you attend or any
place that you go your kid's piano recite was like, yeah,
there's no wine there, schedule, there's no booze that.
Speaker 2 (38:31):
Right now.
Speaker 4 (38:31):
No, no, no, I mean, I love you, but it
just sounds it sounds weird to me where it's like, man,
because I can't relate to it. I feel that way.
I hope I don't ortalize it. No, no, I didn't.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
I don't.
Speaker 4 (38:42):
I'm not saying that you vocalize it.
Speaker 8 (38:43):
But you're also not a broie dude, and you're not
a dad like I don't he's talking about it.
Speaker 4 (38:48):
And also I want to make an I don't hate
those people I'm not getting I don't I don't understand it.
I don't understand that.
Speaker 7 (38:54):
That us feeling. I don't get like it's wine o'clock.
Speaker 5 (38:58):
I'm like, oh it is.
Speaker 4 (39:00):
I think some people say those people are obnoxious.
Speaker 5 (39:02):
I don't get that lifestyle all day it's weird.
Speaker 2 (39:06):
What do you like? I feel, I do get it.
I do get it. Uh, you know, like it does
make things a little bit more enjoyable unless you go
off the deep end. But at the same time, it's
not gonna, you know, ruin my day if it doesn't happen.
If I don't have a drink at an event, I
would notice.
Speaker 4 (39:26):
Yeah, I found like I'm drinking socially, and as I'm
doing that, I'm going, why am I doing this?
Speaker 2 (39:33):
Like what?
Speaker 1 (39:33):
Like?
Speaker 4 (39:34):
Why did I order this?
Speaker 2 (39:36):
Way?
Speaker 6 (39:36):
More responsible?
Speaker 4 (39:37):
Fine?
Speaker 5 (39:37):
And I'll carry the same drink around all night.
Speaker 4 (39:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (39:40):
We had an.
Speaker 6 (39:40):
Event at a brewery and I had half a thimble
of beer because I had to drive. And you pushers
are like, come on, drink, drink, Yeah, because you.
Speaker 2 (39:50):
Love because to drink it's hilarious. It's not hilarious.
Speaker 13 (39:59):
I know.
Speaker 11 (39:59):
Parents, So to your point, what do you that they
can't go to a kid's you know baseball, oh yeah,
hockey or basketball. We all know those people without having
you know, wining tequila in there, yeah Disney now, without
drinking like at that point, it's like God, bless because
that's that's just crazy.
Speaker 4 (40:16):
I have the same feeling when I'm with people and
they go, yeah, I'm just not a sweets person. That's me,
which because I am a sweets person, I'm like, I
don't care about at all. And it's like, dude, like
I wish I had that.
Speaker 7 (40:30):
You know, Oh, if you're not a pizza or French
fries person, no, I would annihilate pizza and franchise where
I would have like the bite of ice cream.
Speaker 4 (40:37):
Yeah, but like I wish I had, because man, that
would solve so many problems, Like if I can be
the person who just without even a thought going yeah,
you know, I just don't like im cookies, I could
take an ice.
Speaker 6 (40:47):
Cream, right, or the person who has the occasional cigarette
yeah smoke like you all over.
Speaker 7 (40:53):
The place, and that's you used to make fun of
me for like, oh, Gina has done all these drugs
or whatever. But like, well but here like since I
do not, I really don't think I have an addictive personality.
It's like someone in college offers me something I like, yeah,
I'll try that, and then they get crazy about it.
Speaker 5 (41:08):
I'm like, I don't know.
Speaker 7 (41:08):
I never tried it again, Like I I just don't.
It doesn't do it, and nothing does it for me.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
Yeah, awesome, I am lucky.
Speaker 4 (41:15):
Yeah, well those Costco mini chocolate chip cookies do it
for me. Man, that booze. I will dust a whole
bucket of those things.
Speaker 5 (41:26):
I love a chocolate chip cookie.
Speaker 4 (41:27):
Yeah, but you can easily pass on the drinks, on
the potato chips.
Speaker 5 (41:32):
On pass on.
Speaker 4 (41:34):
Yeah, my wife and kids the other day, go, well,
let's order some pizza. I go really like, fine, guy,
I tell you what. You guys order the pizza. I'll
find something else here. It was fine, Like I want
you guys to have it. I want you guys to
have it. But like I just like that is mine.
Speaker 5 (41:48):
That's bizarre.
Speaker 4 (41:49):
Yeah, I mean, I'm damnaged.
Speaker 5 (41:52):
I'm the first one up when there's pizza in here.
Speaker 4 (41:55):
I break this.
Speaker 2 (41:56):
I know, I'm weird. That's weird anyway.
Speaker 4 (41:59):
Eight seven or what he text us over to too,
nine eight seven. We'll take a break. We'll come back
more what he showed next right after these messages, I
had more man coach there up before higher.
Speaker 2 (42:15):
You got the cocaine.
Speaker 15 (42:21):
There's the text.
Speaker 4 (42:23):
Oh there it is, Jeff g said, uh yeah, that
text This one says for the three two three Woody
show is full of pussies because he's talking about mom,
just talking about I said, how.
Speaker 6 (42:35):
You know you care less? Couldn't care less about drink?
Speaker 4 (42:38):
Right like somebody said, hey, you know you can't have
another drink for the rest of your life. I'd be like,
all right, and I would never even think twice about it.
Speaker 5 (42:44):
You know, Yeah, I don't get that.
Speaker 4 (42:46):
And hey, no, no offense to people who like your
friend texted you Greg and said he felt so attacked.
Speaker 2 (42:53):
He's a great guy. We love that.
Speaker 4 (42:55):
It's I don't have any kind of like negative feelings
toward him. I just don't understand it because I don't
have that same guy, that same pool the same way
I have the pool as I mentioned, towards sweets right
right right, Like I love cookies and cakes and ice
cream and stuff like that. I think it's the but
it's just alcohol where other people can say, like you
know what, I don't eat sweets. But man, they will,
(43:15):
they'll they'll drink a whole handle or whatever. It is
no problem.
Speaker 2 (43:19):
I totally support it at events. It's just just don't
go all the way off the deep end.
Speaker 5 (43:24):
I'm someone we have to deal with, and it took.
Speaker 2 (43:27):
Me pretty much my whole life to figure out a balance.
I think I've kind of did that in the past
two years. I'm not that's a guy.
Speaker 4 (43:35):
I'm not a huge fries or chips guy. Say no
to all those foods and still be fat secause the sweets.
Speaker 2 (43:45):
Dude, it's the sweet sweet.
Speaker 5 (43:47):
Don't forget the Oreo ice cream bar story.
Speaker 4 (43:49):
Oh yeah, it doesn't. Areo ice cream sandwiches, no fries,
no pizza. It's not that I never eat those things.
Speaker 2 (44:00):
Don't care about it.
Speaker 4 (44:01):
I'll skip the chips, I'll skip Someone says there's pizza,
I better be starving.
Speaker 2 (44:05):
That's crazy own a bakery.
Speaker 4 (44:07):
We don't know about.
Speaker 2 (44:10):
What are you taking in all this stuff? What do
you mean? Like are you going to the grocery store
and buying it in bulk? Like how are you obtaining
I'm not eating?
Speaker 5 (44:19):
Like, don't sell to this man, Yeah, there's.
Speaker 2 (44:23):
Not How many sweets do you keep in the house.
Speaker 4 (44:25):
Not a ton, and I'm not like gorging on them
every day.
Speaker 6 (44:28):
If I opened your freezer right now, would there be
ice cream in there?
Speaker 4 (44:32):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (44:33):
Yeah, the kids have those?
Speaker 4 (44:34):
What are they like, what are they called drumsticks? Yeah,
they're the many ones they have those I do have.
I think I think I do have a couple of
the of the Oreo ice cream sandwiches in there.
Speaker 2 (44:49):
A couple of those. How many cookie cookie? Yeah? Cook
cookie options? No, no cookies.
Speaker 4 (44:56):
My wife said, chocolate person, So she'll have like like
little in the visual, you know, chocolates like yeah, like
not a her kids. I forget what she gets. The
little Dove chocolate I got.
Speaker 2 (45:08):
She likes those chocolates from Switzerland. You did as soon
as you came.
Speaker 4 (45:14):
To me as we were sitting here.
Speaker 2 (45:19):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 13 (45:20):
Oh.
Speaker 4 (45:23):
Speaking of people being pussies, you remember like when there
would be a movie that would come out and some
of the oh dude, there's boobs in that movie.
Speaker 2 (45:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (45:32):
Yeah, man. As young boys, we would like we would
do everything we could. We try to watch it through
the scrambled cable. We'd go to the friend's house that
had the HBO. We we figure out how to program
the VCR to make sure that they're recorded, and we
got to see it, and the whole thing I was reading,
how this uh, this movie one night only, right, Uh,
(45:53):
it's a rom com right talked about It's a rom
com version of the Purge. It's a world where premium
marital sex is only permitted one night per year, and
so there are no sex scenes in the movie. There
was nudity, but much of that was taken out in
the film's final cut. The director Will Gluck says it's
(46:14):
because the gen Z people, the gen Z test audiences
were visibly like put off by the scenes, and the
data showed that the audiences were uncomfortable with nudity in
the movie. It's a new era and so I'm like, wow,
(46:36):
what a departure. Now, these are these are young young bucks,
and man, I don't want to see that. The only
reason I ever even want to go watch Porky's was
because I was told there were boobs in it National
Lampoon's European Vacation or rusties in the German beer gardens dresses. Yeah,
(46:59):
the tape could have snapped in that because it was
rewound so many times, because it was a real quick
brief one.
Speaker 5 (47:05):
You know that Revenge of the Nerds in the Bouncy House.
Speaker 2 (47:08):
Yeah, this could be a odd take, but I think
it's because of HBO, because HBO kind of ruined it
for everybody.
Speaker 4 (47:17):
But how do you explain the Game of Thrones and
people say that's pretty much poor euphoria? The audiences love that.
Speaker 2 (47:27):
No, I think that was more toned down compared to
other shows like Girls and Insecure and stuff like that,
where they would just have like they would just start
out the show with just like unnecessary sex scenes that
were just like really yeah, and I think people just
got burnt on it, like okay, get it. See.
Speaker 6 (47:49):
I think in general, unless it's pertinent to the story,
like he did Rivalry the gay sex and that is
pertint the hockey whole point the hockey show exactly, or
a movie be like oh, Fatal Attraction showing the sex scene,
it's pertinent.
Speaker 2 (48:04):
Because it makes her become an affair.
Speaker 6 (48:07):
But if it's just a movie like Top Gun or whatever,
and you have the sex scene that goes on for
six boring, like we get it.
Speaker 2 (48:16):
They had a lot of shows were just like.
Speaker 7 (48:20):
Talk about a lot of this movie is one night
you have sex and they take out the new.
Speaker 4 (48:25):
See you're watching a movie about sex, literally about the
one night you have sex.
Speaker 9 (48:31):
I think the difference is, though, like what Menace is
talking about. The TV shows that have that, you're watching
it at home. The movies you're out in public watching
these sex scenes, and I think that's uncomfortable. You're with
your friends just watching sex.
Speaker 4 (48:43):
But what the move The movie that you went to
go see is about sex. So if you are a
person who would be uncomfortable, I mean, what do you
think you're gonna see? You're not gonna see that any penetration,
you know, what are you gonna see some cans? Maybe
like someone's you know, ass crack?
Speaker 2 (48:58):
Can they?
Speaker 4 (48:59):
I mean, I guess because it was what's his name,
Jason Siegel for a minute there he was on a roll.
He would show his penis.
Speaker 2 (49:04):
For every movie.
Speaker 5 (49:06):
You just had to see it.
Speaker 4 (49:07):
Yeah, like but that was you never really saw that stuff.
You never saw bush or penis. You would just see
you would see boobs most most of the time. And
yeah and maybe yeah, maybe like a bare ass.
Speaker 5 (49:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (49:18):
That was That was it between you talk about stopping
the VCR the tape somewhere that scene in Dirty dancing
when baby and what's Johnny Castle have.
Speaker 4 (49:28):
Sex with Patrick?
Speaker 5 (49:29):
And Patrick sway he gets out of the.
Speaker 4 (49:31):
Watch the movie.
Speaker 2 (49:32):
I don't think I was born, He paused, so.
Speaker 5 (49:33):
Yeah, right with the same age. Paused so hard on that.
Speaker 4 (49:38):
Yeah, I never saw that. That's what I've never seen.
Speaker 2 (49:40):
All the way through.
Speaker 5 (49:41):
You guys as men, you're not I've heard.
Speaker 4 (49:43):
I've heard. You know, nobody puts baby in the corner.
And I knew the soundtrack because the soundtrack songs were
all over the place and my parents had the soundtrack
and we were in the car. They just wear that
outs the wind. That's I know, is it?
Speaker 2 (50:03):
Yeah? I like that song. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (50:07):
I put sex scenes that are person Yeah.
Speaker 4 (50:12):
See, I knew there was a bunch of songs that
I knew from the soundtrack. Never watched the movie.
Speaker 6 (50:15):
Like sex scenes that are not germane to the plot
are as boring as a woman having a baby on screen,
like we get it. It's painful, you scream, sweat and
oh god, she had a baby.
Speaker 4 (50:28):
Somebody makes sense. It makes a good point. This makes
no sense. And an era where only fans is so
prevalent and poorn literally in your hands at all times,
like it's hard to believe that gen Z is so
put off by it.
Speaker 2 (50:39):
Goes to sex. Samy's talking about people want to do
it in private.
Speaker 11 (50:44):
Yeah alone. Yeah, that's kind of the whole gen Z thing.
Attach it.
Speaker 4 (50:48):
They've attached shame to it. I guess.
Speaker 2 (50:50):
Yeah, they don't want to do it in public with
their friends. They don't know how to process their feelings.
Yeah right, yeah, like we used to put on poor
in it. That's the parties and stuff.
Speaker 4 (50:59):
Well, yeah, dude. When we would discover, like, uh, you know,
someone's dad had a bunch of like playboys, we'd all
break them out. We'd go find them, we break them out.
I remember, I remember we found a a tape that
belonged to my stepdad. It was actually my sister and I.
We found this tape snoop and for Christmas gifts.
Speaker 2 (51:18):
We're like, what is this?
Speaker 4 (51:18):
We put it on you know what I mean, Like,
oh god, anyway, you better believe that. The next time
I saw my friend Joe and uh yeah and Jeremy,
I'm like, dude, guys, fellas check this out. We were
so do. I'm like, all right, everybody, remember exactly what
point it's at so I can put it back to
(51:39):
that point. And so my friend brilliant. He goes reset
the counter to zero. I go, that's brilliant. So we
put the counter to zero. So wherever it played, and
we fast forward to rewound two. All we had to
do is get it right, the counter right back to zero,
and it'd be at the exact same spot.
Speaker 2 (51:57):
Yeah, because the dad would remember.
Speaker 1 (52:01):
A new world.
Speaker 2 (52:02):
I would have done the same thing. It's a whole
new world.
Speaker 6 (52:05):
I was worried my parents would realize I played with matches. Yeah,
you have to replenish the matches.
Speaker 4 (52:10):
All right, we're gonna have a game next. If you
want to play, we're gonna do the Craigslist price is right,
So all these different things being sold on Craigslist, I'll
tell you about one of those items. I ask somebody
here in the studio to give me a bid on
how much they think that item is going for. And
if you can guess whether the actual Craigslist price is
higher or lower than the bid that was given here
(52:30):
in the studio, you'll be the winner of a prize
from your friends here at the Woody Show. So, if
you want to play, give us a call. Eight seven
seven forty four. What I promise there's no nudity in it. Yeah,
you're not gonna You're not gonna see any nudity any z.
Speaker 6 (52:44):
You can enjoin it in a group.
Speaker 4 (52:45):
Set it exactly right. How the doctor needs to see
your penis even though you can't a screen list if
you have a broken show, show will who's ready to
play and win? Let's do it dumbass contest.
Speaker 10 (53:05):
And today's dumbass contest is.
Speaker 3 (53:07):
The price is right?
Speaker 2 (53:11):
All right?
Speaker 4 (53:11):
So I have all these things that are being sold
on Craigslist. All you have to do is tell me
is the actual Craigslist price higher or lower than the
bid that I am going to drag out of somebody
here in the studio for each one of these items.
So I'll tell you all about it, give a little description,
and then you guys take the guests. And then on
the phone, the contestant just has to guests higher or
(53:32):
lower to win their prize. Eight four Woodie, and let's
go right to our first contestants. Say hi to Monica,

Speaker 4 (53:46):
Okay, Monica sounds like she's all business, all right, get

is something that I think only she would have an
idea on how much it would go for an American girl.
Hallmark scrap Books does. It doesn't get more Sammy than
that American girl Hallmark scrap book. It's like three different
(54:10):
things that she loves, scrap booking, Hallmark and American girls.
Speaker 2 (54:16):
American girl just make their own scrapbook.
Speaker 4 (54:18):
Okay, so it says American girl Hallmark memory Book, slash
scrap book excellent like new condition, comes with sticker, a
couple of scratches on the back cover though a little
bubbling on the front cover. But let me let me

clab allmart.

he mentioned the other days. I showed you guys when
you visit my house. It's a shower chair. Yeah, but
this is not even a shower chair. It's a toilet
seat for the like that would go I think over
the uh basically the regular I can also use it
in the in the shower.
Speaker 7 (55:58):
It's like table side walk right, shower chairs that are
like chairs.
Speaker 4 (56:04):
This is like a toilet that has like a pot.
Speaker 2 (56:06):
My chair had a pooping hole in it. Yeah. This

put up in their house. He loves word art.

You have to know what room you're in.
Speaker 4 (59:07):
And this one also mentions wine.
Speaker 2 (59:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (59:12):
Now it's really cool, Greg. It's made with different like
they took slices of different state license plates.
Speaker 2 (59:19):
Always fun.
Speaker 4 (59:20):
They put them all together to spell out live love Wine.
It's a live love Wine handmade sign for your house.
Speaker 6 (59:32):
They use the upside down three as an e.
Speaker 4 (59:36):
I mean they took slices, just as I said, the
little slices of the different license plates.
Speaker 5 (59:44):
Spell don't let anyone else been on that, like how somebody.
Speaker 4 (59:46):
Would cut letters out of a newspaper magazine and like
a serial killer ransom.
Speaker 2 (59:51):
I was thinking of something that you absolutely hate, and
this reminds me of that full art. It looks like
something that would be at a beach house in Florida.
Speaker 6 (59:59):
To tell you, and I'm embarrassed to tell you again,
I did buy a little metal thing that just says wine.
And it's very very deep and you put quirks in it. Oh,
and I used to hang that on my wall. Wine
your trash.
Speaker 2 (01:00:16):
For that sign.
Speaker 4 (01:00:18):
It does a handmade sign with license plate letters on
painted wood support local artists.
Speaker 6 (01:00:23):
Okay, do that, Yeah, I will, Okay, they're they're reaching
for the stars. I'm gonna say sixty.
Speaker 4 (01:00:31):
Five, sixty five dollars, Alexis, do you think do you

five dollars.
Speaker 2 (01:00:40):

Speaker 2 (01:01:05):

Speaker 4 (01:01:06):
Here we go Jenny Menace? Yes, Hi, he does love
a good bigfoot story.
Speaker 2 (01:01:13):

Whoa cast illuminum bigfoot Yetti Sasquatch statue weighs about one
hundred and ninety five pounds. It's thirty six forty eighty

(01:01:37):
this thing we're describe it? Describe it?
Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
Greg?
Speaker 4 (01:01:40):
Paint the picture for the audience. Well, it's a very.
Speaker 6 (01:01:41):
Buffed body standing up. You know, the famous bigfoot walking stands.
The head does not seem to match anything on that
almost looks like Planet of the Apes and unders.
Speaker 4 (01:01:53):
And he's not just flat footed on the ground, No,
he's standing on some kind.
Speaker 2 (01:01:57):

Speaker 4 (01:01:59):

Speaker 2 (01:02:00):
How cool? Is this pre read? Pretty cool? You can
recycle it? You're done?
Speaker 4 (01:02:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:02:07):
Yeah, the scrap metal alone is worth or yeah, I'm
gonna say.
Speaker 4 (01:02:13):
Four hundred dollars, four hundred dollars. Sorry, what do you
think actual Craigslist price higher or lower than four hundred dollars.
I'm gonna go higher higher. It is the ripoff of
all ripoffs. Actual craigsis price one thousand, nine hundred dollars.
Speaker 5 (01:02:32):
Yeah, sure, I mean a bargain at any prime.
Speaker 4 (01:02:36):
I guess you want to go recycle it? How much
would you get? Like in recycling? You think for that
forty hundred ninety five pounds of aluminum?
Speaker 2 (01:02:42):
Okay? I math on that.
Speaker 4 (01:02:43):
How much is one hundred ninety five.
Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
Pounds of aluminum? Yeah? What's the return you get?
Speaker 4 (01:02:49):
We need for the studio though, we need.
Speaker 2 (01:02:50):
To hang on one second.
Speaker 4 (01:02:52):
We'll get all your information and we'll get one more
contesting here. Let's say, hi, to.
Speaker 8 (01:02:59):
What hundred ninety five pounds of Aloneum, you can expect
to get anywhere between two hundred and fifteen dollars and
seventy eight dollars a recycling center.
Speaker 4 (01:03:07):
That's also kind of a wide margin.
Speaker 2 (01:03:10):
That depends where you're going.
Speaker 4 (01:03:11):
Yeah, let's go to Steven Hey, Stephen, Steven Hey, Hey,
all right, so Gina grad Yes, sir, you did this
somewhat recently. Colon ask be Bowel prep Kit.
Speaker 5 (01:03:25):
Okay, let's talk.
Speaker 4 (01:03:27):
Because someone's like, you know what, I've got an extra one.
Speaker 2 (01:03:29):
Let me sell it.
Speaker 4 (01:03:30):
Let me sell it on Craigslist.
Speaker 5 (01:03:31):
Don't just give it.
Speaker 4 (01:03:32):
To some one, brand new, never used.
Speaker 5 (01:03:34):
Okay, that's important.
Speaker 4 (01:03:35):
Super prep Colon Askaby Bowl, Cleanse prep kit, Bowel friends, Yeah, sorry,
Cleanse prep kit. This is the liquid kit. The expiration
date was April of twenty twenty three.
Speaker 1 (01:03:47):
There we go.
Speaker 4 (01:03:48):
It's still good though, and you can believe them because
it says right here on the end it's still good though. No, Yeah,
I trust the person. Yeah, yeah, sure, how much for
for this?
Speaker 6 (01:03:58):
Looks like there's never use us. If it had been,
it wouldn't be there exactly.
Speaker 7 (01:04:02):
And it's still good, guys, after three years I'm going
to say this is price to move.
Speaker 5 (01:04:09):
I'm going to say twelve.
Speaker 4 (01:04:11):
Dollars twelve bucks, Stephen. Do you think the actual Craigslist
price is higher lower than twelve dollars. I'm gonna go more,
all right, actual Craigslist price is twenty dollars Steph. Congrats
and you are a winner here on the Craigslist price
is right?
Speaker 11 (01:04:30):
Yeah, look at that you guys.
Speaker 2 (01:04:33):
Wow, what a bunch of garbage.
Speaker 4 (01:04:36):
You can't wait for Colonosky day, Greg, the nap So coffee.
Speaker 11 (01:04:42):
Yeah, well, you lose a lot of weight.
Speaker 6 (01:04:43):
To lose weight, they put that warm blanket.
Speaker 4 (01:04:45):
Although you said that when you did yours, you didn't
have a lot of weight difference.
Speaker 2 (01:04:49):
No, yeah, he didn't.
Speaker 4 (01:04:50):
Yeah, but he loved relaxing. Yeah, but he loved the sleep.
He loved the propofol. Yeah, it's like you can see
why Michael Jackson loved it so much.
Speaker 6 (01:04:58):
Yeah, I get it, Upset, I totally get it.
Speaker 4 (01:05:07):
I Greg, another opinion.
Speaker 2 (01:05:09):
I want to see what you think.
Speaker 4 (01:05:10):
Okay, somebody, Uh, I skipped it because I I think
I know what you're gonna say. So I've been avoiding
this one because they're like this one seems.
Speaker 2 (01:05:21):
Too easy, too obviously.
Speaker 10 (01:05:23):
Sometimes you know, Greg surprises us all babe or eye
roll and uh.
Speaker 4 (01:05:28):
Thank you. I'll have the email in front of me.
Somebody emailed this to us. Hey, ask Greg about this one.
It's a couple in Ohio who got married at the
McDonald's where they work together. So the company closed the
dining room for the ceremony. They kept the drive through
open because you know, business does need to go on.
McDonald's hooked up the decorations. The manager even let the
kids at the wedding eat for free.
Speaker 2 (01:05:49):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (01:05:50):
After the ceremony, the newlyweds helped clean everything up. Here's
a picture of the gross couple and their gross friends.
Speaker 5 (01:05:59):
Nobody dressed like, I mean, somebody's kind of dressed like.
Speaker 4 (01:06:04):
You know what, Yeah, that grimace in a wedding dress.
Speaker 5 (01:06:10):
Well, there's someone in purple. What could it be?
Speaker 4 (01:06:14):
Which it department? Is this guy working.
Speaker 5 (01:06:19):
Of the balloon that is the two white balloons.
Speaker 4 (01:06:22):
Do you guys ever go to a birthday party on
McDonald's and you're a kid. That was a big thing
for me because they had like stuff like there was
a standard like birthday.
Speaker 7 (01:06:31):
Set up and when it was your birthday at least
when I did it, you got to bring a friend
into the kitchen to look at your cake. You got
to go backstage to see my cake.
Speaker 2 (01:06:41):
All right. We always did pizza places, all right.
Speaker 4 (01:06:44):
So you know, a babe or eye roll, and he
guesses who wants to go first. Gina Man tough, but
I'm going to go I roll.
Speaker 2 (01:06:50):
Yeah, why are we wasting our time? The story? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:06:55):
Now, uh, it could go a babe. I'll tell you
my reason why after my my initial gut instinct tells
me this is mega.
Speaker 2 (01:07:06):
Did you leave a part of the story.
Speaker 4 (01:07:08):
Yeah, no, no, no no, And I'll explain. Greg's already
got his answer. I just don't want to. I don't
want him to change his answer because it's based on
something he said in the past. Okay, so I will
say officially it's eye roll.
Speaker 6 (01:07:23):
Oh god, I have to be consistent with my beliefs Now, Sammy,
the McDonald's wedding a baber, I roll.
Speaker 4 (01:07:31):
I roll, Jeff gl Greg Gory.
Speaker 6 (01:07:34):
Okay, I have a theory as to what you're going
to say. But I'm saying I roll. I mean a
McDonald's wedding. I think a child's birthday party at McDonald's
is depressing enough, let alone an adult wedding and balloons.
Speaker 4 (01:07:48):
No, dude, that was that was the birthday party. Yeah,
I don't look, it's not it's not wedding places.
Speaker 6 (01:08:00):
Yeah, it's not even birthday place for in an adult world.
Speaker 2 (01:08:04):
All right.
Speaker 4 (01:08:05):
So I'm glad to be right about the But the
a babe is because this was where they worked together.
This is where they met. Greg had made like that
that exception to I forget where someone got married, and
you're like what you're saying, I will give them because
they both worked there. This is all their you know,
friends who are the co workers. It's where they met.
(01:08:26):
It's at least to that correct. It wasn't just like,
oh we're gonna be wacky and get married at the
you know, white Castle or whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:08:32):
It was my theory.
Speaker 6 (01:08:34):
The reason that you would think maybe a babe is
because you know, look at the bride. If she can
find love, so can you see it's possible for everyone?
Speaker 4 (01:08:48):
I mean, you know, look at look at him, dude,
there's a lid for every pot. We're gonna take a
quick break, will come back more. What the show is next?
Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
Hang on.
Speaker 16 (01:09:04):
Back in the minute, all right, now, I saw this
thing about you know, Morrissey was supposed to do.
Speaker 4 (01:09:20):
He was supposed to do a residency at it somewhere
in Vegas, right where it was. It wasn't sphere, it
was uh, I don't know. It doesn't matter because it's
not happening. And shame on anybody at this point whoever
buys the tickets and go see Morrissey, because well, shame
on you for buying the ticket and then being disappointed
when it cancels, because of course it's going to cancel.
Speaker 6 (01:09:43):
It was supposed to be at the Encore Theater at
win LA.
Speaker 4 (01:09:47):
That's a nice one, so of course it's going to cancel,
of course. And I maintained my argument that Morrissey is
ella overrated. Oh wait, yeah, I think one of my
favorite songs, if not my favorite song of a all time,
The Smith's how Soon is Now? A great song, but dude, what.
Speaker 2 (01:10:03):
A douche she is.
Speaker 4 (01:10:05):
It's just he's just a douche. And the songs like
other than how Soon is Now? And I might give
you every day it's like Sunday, that's it. I love it,
that's it. I don't get the other ones. So that's
why I argue overrated. I go, what's so catch here?
What's so great about this?
Speaker 2 (01:10:22):
Not getting?
Speaker 4 (01:10:24):
But now, one thing Greg does love is he loves
all the new wave stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:10:29):
I wouldn't. I'm so excited for this second.
Speaker 4 (01:10:31):
Because I wouldn't put I wouldn't put Morrissey in the
new wave category, even though, like if you listen to
like a new wave playlist or what, they'll put Morrissey
in the Smiths and stuff like that in there.
Speaker 6 (01:10:43):
But definitely not under that category.
Speaker 4 (01:10:46):
Yeah, I mean not only like this is a great song.
I mean, I don't care what the what you want
to consider.
Speaker 1 (01:10:50):
It, but.
Speaker 6 (01:10:53):
I mean, have you ever seen him play this live?
Speaker 2 (01:10:55):
It's now cool? Is it? When it does happen?
Speaker 4 (01:10:59):
It's the cool once every decade when they perform actually happened.
Speaker 6 (01:11:10):
Well, I love sad songs and he's the master of them.
Speaker 4 (01:11:13):
Yeah, massive don't think the songs are very catchy.
Speaker 7 (01:11:16):
Really, I don't know if I've ever asked you this
or if you've ever explained this to us, But did
you wear guyliner like in high school?
Speaker 2 (01:11:24):
No?
Speaker 5 (01:11:24):
Okay, no, he's your big new wave guy.
Speaker 6 (01:11:27):
Yeah, I would, Uh, you know, either peg my pants
or safety pin there and you did the havel shape,
shaved head. No guyliner black and white, you know, stripes
and stuff like that, but no, never guyliner.
Speaker 4 (01:11:40):
Okay, so this is the best of seven.
Speaker 2 (01:11:43):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (01:11:44):
Now for this best of seven, the opinionated folks over
at Ultimate Classic Rock dot com they ranked the top
new wave singers. So I'm gonna give you seven, and
then from that you can only select four. It's like
the best of seven series, first to four, right, so
you can only select four. So three of these will
have to go. And I can't even include all the
(01:12:05):
ones that they put on their list. And then we'll
give some we will give some other like you know,
honorable mentioned shout outs as as we go on. But uh,
the new wave singer they have number one on their list.
And I did see a video of this band slash
Person recently, and I go, wow, that looks like a
(01:12:25):
dead person singing. But they sounded amazing. And that would
be Robert Smith of The Cure and the Cure. I
mean so many, so many big songs, right, looks like
the Cripkeepers, like a fat Cripkeepers, like an electric Yes,
and it's.
Speaker 2 (01:12:52):
All right.
Speaker 4 (01:12:52):
So the first one is and you can either say
Robert Smith or the Cure.
Speaker 2 (01:12:56):
Either one.
Speaker 17 (01:12:57):
It's fine, it's so good, I mean, and then the
hits just keep on comment bangers, yeah, all bangers, all right.
Speaker 4 (01:13:10):
Number two on their list is talking Heads David Byrne,
so best of seven new wave singers, talking Heads is
number two.
Speaker 6 (01:13:25):
The way you think that Morris who is overrated, David
Byrne is underrated.
Speaker 15 (01:13:32):
So good, I'm going there. You had another one another great?
Speaker 5 (01:13:49):
Can you even hear this song? And nothing?
Speaker 1 (01:14:00):
Rips slip run down the hoof?
Speaker 4 (01:14:06):
Alright, sor right, cure, keep keep tracking the one two
for David Byrne?
Speaker 2 (01:14:15):
All right? Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:14:17):
Number three will be uh, let's see where did my Okay,
here we go, of course sting.
Speaker 7 (01:14:29):
Okay, this might be showing my ignorance. But do you
consider a new wave?
Speaker 2 (01:14:32):
Yes, they are.
Speaker 4 (01:14:33):
They are if you look on any any definition, any like.
Speaker 5 (01:14:37):
I just wouldn't have thought, well.
Speaker 4 (01:14:40):
The police, is it not? It's not doubly, it's just police, police,
I always said, much like, well, on the wire they
say police, I'm gonna call the police. That's what they
said on the wire. I'll this one gets so overplaced.
Speaker 2 (01:14:57):
It's easy.
Speaker 4 (01:15:01):
It's is it Lovelace. Yeah, yeah, they are on every
list of new waves.
Speaker 2 (01:15:10):
Yeah. All right.
Speaker 4 (01:15:13):
Then from there, according to Ultimate Classic Rock dot Com,
you have another great band, another great singer, Annie Lennox.
Speaker 18 (01:15:28):
Travel seven cs bodies looking for songs?
Speaker 4 (01:15:35):
Yeah, what happened my clip.
Speaker 3 (01:15:43):
On my head?
Speaker 4 (01:15:44):
Like of course all the songs with your rhythms. But
then was she had a song anyons had?
Speaker 9 (01:15:53):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (01:15:53):
Oh it's this one?
Speaker 2 (01:15:54):
Hold on? Yeahs just love.
Speaker 4 (01:15:58):
Come and walking on?
Speaker 2 (01:16:04):
Alright, that's uh?
Speaker 4 (01:16:06):
Where we have four?
Speaker 2 (01:16:07):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (01:16:08):
Yes, these are all so good?
Speaker 2 (01:16:13):
All right?
Speaker 4 (01:16:13):
Next up, best of seven new wave singers. He's all
made the Ultimate Classic Rock dot Com list of the
top new wave singers. And next up is the band
Duran Duran and the singer you know, Simon Lebon. This
(01:16:34):
is one that could never get sick of.
Speaker 6 (01:16:36):
Yeah, had it with you on that ja?
Speaker 2 (01:16:38):
Yeah? How do you feel about? Uh?
Speaker 4 (01:16:41):
How do you feel about this one? How about uh? Man?
Speaker 11 (01:16:49):
Really?
Speaker 15 (01:16:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:16:51):
I would prefer that.
Speaker 4 (01:16:54):
And there's something wrong with my system. It's acting real slow.
So as I as I go to these different songs,
there stopping, I apologize for the delayed gratification that's required.
Simon what Simon Labon sah I tried to start that
at a thousands gas.
Speaker 2 (01:17:12):
I love that up, all right.
Speaker 4 (01:17:25):
That's that's number five for best of seven. Let's see,
how about we go with this band that made the.
Speaker 10 (01:17:33):
List, ric Ocasic Cars the cars.
Speaker 2 (01:17:40):
Now that one is definitely.
Speaker 4 (01:17:42):
To know that I believe, all right, it's really it's
not the cars. It's just cars.
Speaker 5 (01:17:47):
Super annoying family. It's so castic.
Speaker 2 (01:17:50):
Oh yeah, okay, that's.
Speaker 5 (01:18:00):
I could never get this. I love this song.
Speaker 6 (01:18:04):
He was the first celebrity I met at this radio
station I got a job at and I was peed
next to him.
Speaker 4 (01:18:10):
This this song, this is another one that never gets
sick up ever. Yeah, this song, but this is a vibe.
Speaker 18 (01:18:19):
Who's going, Who's going.
Speaker 4 (01:18:37):
To me? That could almost be the perfect song. It's awesome,
It's it's right up there, all right. So that was
number six, number seven, number seven for best new Wave
singers according to Ultimate Classic Rock dot com. Greg, I
think you're familiar. Oh we know, we know.
Speaker 2 (01:18:59):
This one will make the limp lead. Yeah, alright. So
Dave Gone of depeche Mode.
Speaker 5 (01:19:07):
And I saw them play this live.
Speaker 2 (01:19:13):
That's how you end up.
Speaker 6 (01:19:14):
Checking if you go to a depeche Mode show and
don't think you're the greatest band live. You are clinically insane.
Speaker 4 (01:19:24):
I don't think I've ever seen him live.
Speaker 2 (01:19:29):
The all time best.
Speaker 4 (01:19:31):
And then I'll give you one more from Detachement. All right,
So those are your seven? Only four? Move on, So
you're gonna have to get rid of.
Speaker 2 (01:19:44):
Three of these.
Speaker 4 (01:19:46):
So text over to two two ninety seven. Which four
are you keeping? Number one was Robert Smith of The Cure.
Number two was David Byrne of Talking Heads. Number three
Stings from the Police, Andy Lennox, Number four of the
Rhythmics Dave Gone, Oh no, that was the next one.
(01:20:06):
Number five was a Simon Lebon of Duran Duran, Number
six rick O Kasek of the Cars, and then number
seven Depeche Mode.
Speaker 2 (01:20:15):
Dave Gone of Depeche Mode.
Speaker 4 (01:20:19):
Yeah, those are your seven? Which four are you keeping?
Get your votes in on the text, and then people
here around the room and make their votes, and then
I will tell you what we got here next on
the Woody Show.
Speaker 2 (01:20:31):
Hang on.
Speaker 1 (01:20:35):
The Woody Show.
Speaker 4 (01:20:37):
All right, Greg, I got a good one for you.
Speaker 2 (01:20:39):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (01:20:40):
I kept putting rem after ream of paper into my printer,
ye but I just kept getting the error, saying I
just can't get enough.
Speaker 2 (01:20:47):
I just can't get enough.
Speaker 4 (01:20:48):
Turns out somebody had switched the printer into depeche Mode.
Thank you, Texter five one five texting over, Jeff hates
that joke.
Speaker 2 (01:21:01):
I don't know why. Now, what do you mean? That's
not it's it's great, it's hilarious. It's a great one.
All right.
Speaker 4 (01:21:09):
So best of seven, best of seven? What the what
have we got?
Speaker 2 (01:21:14):
We'll start with you, Greg.
Speaker 4 (01:21:15):
We had a best of seven new wave singers and
the seven that you had to choose from to come
down with your four cure, talking heads, Police, your rhythmics, Duran, Duran,
the Cars, depeche Mode. Right, okay, so best of seven
new Wave? Now, Greg, you're the biggest new wave fan
(01:21:37):
I know.
Speaker 6 (01:21:38):
Sure, And I found this to be relatively easy. Really,
I'm gonna keep and I'm ranking these in order. Number
one obviously Dave Gone, duh. Depeche Mode, he's God in
human form. Uh you got Number two Robert Smith just
iconic and that word does apply. Number three Annie Lennox, Wow,
(01:22:01):
she's incredible. And number four David Byrne. I love the Police,
but I prefer stings solo stuff. Love Duran Duran but
not quite making the cut and love the cars, but sorry, Rick,
you gotta go, yeah, and you did go, So all right, David.
Speaker 2 (01:22:22):
I'm gonna build up to my number one. Now, I'm
gonna start off with number four. And I just want
to say this Greg, that depeche Mode and Duran Duran
I feel define new wave totally. Yeah, So like if
it new wave gets broughten up, those are the two
bands I probably would hear about the most. Now if
I had to choose between them, I'm gonna say, for
(01:22:44):
me personally, Duran Duran is gonna be my number four
and depeche Mo is not gonna make the cut. WHOA, sorry,
I apologize on that. Number two. I'm gonna say David
Byrne and for personal reasons because I feel that is
the soundtrack to all the movies I love in the eighties,
Like eighties movies are my favorite. So number oh, I
(01:23:07):
should have said number three. Sorry. Number three is gonna
be Robert Smith because just bangers. The songs are just classics.
And then number one is Annie Lennox because I don't know,
I prefer female singers, okay, and deodorant and deodorant and
you make up the female way of life. I just
(01:23:32):
prefer it.
Speaker 4 (01:23:33):
Yeah, yeah, alright, Gina Grad.
Speaker 5 (01:23:36):
Okay, if we're going in order, let's do the order.
Speaker 13 (01:23:37):
Now.
Speaker 7 (01:23:38):
This hurt me because my honorable mention. I'm so sorry,
David Byrne. You barely didn't make the cut, but you didn't.
Number four The Cure Robert Smith number three, Dave Gone
depeche Mode number two. This was a toss up because
I love them both so much. Rick Okay, Sik the
cars and just like Menace number one, My girl, Annie Lennox,
You're a mix, all right, Sammy Okay.
Speaker 9 (01:23:59):
So start at number four is staying the police, and
then I'm going talking heads and then cars and then
again number one Annie Lennox.
Speaker 5 (01:24:11):
Sorry, Greg, I don't even understand that.
Speaker 6 (01:24:16):
I don't know you.
Speaker 9 (01:24:18):
I just I don't get it. I don't enjoy it
when it comes on. I do think it's like just depressing,
and I don't I don't get why people like it
or like would want to listen to it.
Speaker 2 (01:24:29):
I don't get.
Speaker 9 (01:24:32):
It just doesn't seem enjoyable, Like do you are you
happy when you listen to it?
Speaker 4 (01:24:36):
He likes as absolutely Now, Jeff, I'm interested to hear
what you think, because Jeff loves a lot of this stuff.
Speaker 11 (01:24:43):
I do.
Speaker 4 (01:24:44):
Yeah, A big part of which was like surprising to me.
We got into a conversation about this stuff one time
and I'm like, wow, no kidding, I mean he's really
into it. I'm curious to see who made your best
of seven.
Speaker 11 (01:24:53):
By the way, I'm also a Smith's lover, just like
Greg over there. Talking heads coming in at number four.
You know it's weird. I don't consider police uh uh
in this category, but for the sake of this argument,
I will put police coming in at number three. Depeche
Mode number two, and you know, one of the kings
(01:25:14):
of of my my teen years, Robert Smith number one,
The Cure.
Speaker 4 (01:25:18):
All right, mine, I'll start with number one. Cure number
two is Deuran durand Simon Lebon, number three, depeche Mode,
number four, talking heads.
Speaker 2 (01:25:29):
Nice.
Speaker 4 (01:25:29):
Doesn't even matter what we think collectively the audience. This
is what you guys came up with. And at number
four on your list, the cure, Wow, number four, Yeah,
number number four. I was surprise. I was surprised by that.
I was I was surprised by what came in at
number three. At number three, according to the will you
(01:25:53):
show listeners cars number two on the list I had
the wrong one.
Speaker 5 (01:26:12):
That's okay with.
Speaker 4 (01:26:12):
Listener as you can talk, Yeah, number two, Simon, Oh
my god, Duran durand.
Speaker 6 (01:26:26):
Greg Gory Yes, oh, don't tell me it's not depeche
Mode at number one. Don't tell me?
Speaker 2 (01:26:38):
All right, what's anything?
Speaker 13 (01:26:39):
Then?
Speaker 2 (01:26:40):
What is it?
Speaker 6 (01:26:42):
What's number one?
Speaker 2 (01:26:43):
Number one?
Speaker 4 (01:26:43):
According to the listener vote, Yeah, what's the matter? Greg,
I'm nervous. Do you not enjoy the silence?
Speaker 2 (01:26:54):
Well done?
Speaker 3 (01:26:55):
I like that.
Speaker 4 (01:26:58):
Number one is depeche Mode?
Speaker 7 (01:27:00):
My faith.
Speaker 2 (01:27:04):
Good chase.
Speaker 4 (01:27:05):

artists in the honorable mentions to get to all right,
and we'll get to that next year on the Woodies Show.
Speaker 2 (01:27:23):
Hang up the Woody Show. And a lot of good.
Speaker 4 (01:27:28):
Feedback on the text over to two to nine eight
seven about the best of seven New Waves. Yeah, it's
a lot of a lot of people suggesting other new way.
There's a ton of new wave artists obviously, I'm just
going by this list from Ultimate Classic Rock dot Com.
They ranked their favorites, and I'm just gonna give you
from their list the ones that we didn't get to,
(01:27:49):
that didn't make the seven that we chose. There are
way more than what they had on their list, obviously,
but some other honorable mentions from the ones that are
on their list. And while I like this one song,
I think the rest of the song from like Elvis Costello, Yeah, yeah,
Elvis Costello, just see I want to like sonic.
Speaker 6 (01:28:07):
You uh get a few good songs like this is
a good song.
Speaker 5 (01:28:11):
This is very eighties movie.
Speaker 2 (01:28:13):
Yeah, this is a great song.
Speaker 13 (01:28:16):
This is.
Speaker 2 (01:28:18):
All right.
Speaker 4 (01:28:18):
Honorable mention also to Blondie from Ultimate Classic.
Speaker 2 (01:28:26):
Rock dot Com. Very influent. Yeah, also.
Speaker 6 (01:28:30):
Nine, I mean echoes back to the seventies, right.
Speaker 4 (01:28:35):
And then the quintessential Blondie song, Yeah call Me That
so is Blondie. Also on the Ultimate Classic Rock dot
Com list for best new Wave Singers, they got Michael
Hutchinson there.
Speaker 2 (01:28:54):
Oh oh yeah, in excess they rule.
Speaker 4 (01:28:58):
I mean, dude, is this the Shamans? This should have
been higher sen in the seventh and this guy died
by jilling. Yeah, choked himself out while choking his chicken. Yes, yeah,
(01:29:21):
how's your pa?
Speaker 2 (01:29:22):
I don't even know.
Speaker 6 (01:29:24):
Get it Australia, you don't get what.
Speaker 2 (01:29:29):
I don't know this song? You don't you don't know
this song?
Speaker 15 (01:29:31):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (01:29:32):
Never tear us apart?
Speaker 6 (01:29:34):
Never never.
Speaker 2 (01:29:39):
Don't know? Wait?
Speaker 4 (01:29:40):
Wow you never heard that?
Speaker 17 (01:29:44):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (01:29:44):
Quote what he says all the time?
Speaker 11 (01:29:47):
Oh yeah, you know this one?
Speaker 2 (01:29:53):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (01:29:55):
Also another from the Honorable mentions pile you have pretenders?
Speaker 11 (01:30:00):
Oh yeah, I love that the great bang, her voice.
Speaker 4 (01:30:08):
That change. That's a great songs. This kind of reminds
me of like Danny Lennox.
Speaker 11 (01:30:17):
They just had hit after hit.
Speaker 4 (01:30:18):
I know what about this?
Speaker 2 (01:30:24):
Oh yeah, yeah, I grabbed some pockets.
Speaker 5 (01:30:27):
I get it. But her voice is not my thang.
Speaker 4 (01:30:36):
Really a one hit wonder, but they they had this
person on the Best New Wave Singers list is a mark.
Whether it's Mother's Bow from Devo Divo is a one
hit wonder basically not basically.
Speaker 5 (01:30:52):
What's the other eight?
Speaker 2 (01:30:54):
Give me a second and I'll think I want.
Speaker 4 (01:30:57):
I don't know any more good without looking it up,
out looking it up, let me think about it. Also
gonna get honorable mentioned to someone I heard Jeff mentioned
as we were going through some of the other ones
that came through on the text.
Speaker 2 (01:31:09):
Susie, I love her Man.
Speaker 11 (01:31:11):
I used to have the biggest crush on her. He's
got posters on my wall on his ceiling. Christine is
a great song, spell Bound, Dude's and Dust, Yeah, Susie
was a whole vibe.
Speaker 4 (01:31:22):
Yeah, Susie and the band Cheese and here one more,
one more honorable mention and they had it's two dudes,
Roland and Current from the band.
Speaker 2 (01:31:38):
Yeah, like I.
Speaker 4 (01:31:39):
Would have put in excess, and I would have put
Tears for Fears up there and in as into the seven.
But it's not my list ultimate classic rock. I mean
so many songs from thee come on, you know, it's like,
(01:32:05):
come on.
Speaker 6 (01:32:06):
This is on the radio every five minute.
Speaker 13 (01:32:10):
This one too.
Speaker 4 (01:32:10):
This is another one where I think you can make
an argument this could be the perfect song.
Speaker 9 (01:32:15):
This one.
Speaker 2 (01:32:15):
Yeah, at the end, I just loves this thing.
Speaker 4 (01:32:22):
You like the song being sarcastic because okay, throw it
back Thursdays.
Speaker 2 (01:32:27):
He often wants to hear it. Yeah, it is. It
is a great song.
Speaker 4 (01:32:31):
Are there's the there's the honorable mention?
Speaker 2 (01:32:34):
What a great movie? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:32:36):
Eight seven seven forty four text us over to two
two nine eight seven more Woody shows. Next, hang on
the wood show.
Speaker 10 (01:32:44):
We'll be right right, right, right right.
Speaker 4 (01:32:51):
I love it, I love it.
Speaker 2 (01:32:55):
Show.
Speaker 4 (01:32:56):
God bless our buddy Striker. And he's such a he's
such a great guy. And we are so wildly immature.
I'm sure I'm sure you heard it. I'm sure you
caught it the same way we did.
Speaker 19 (01:33:09):
And now this young van must get from k C
to l A on time. They're hitting the road in
a van like green Day. Used to be in a
van before.
Speaker 1 (01:33:16):
Dukeye came out, before Dukie, before Dukeye came out.
Speaker 5 (01:33:28):
He's so excited.
Speaker 4 (01:33:28):
We're mature.
Speaker 1 (01:33:31):
What happened Tugger before Dukeye came out?
Speaker 2 (01:33:34):
Came out?
Speaker 1 (01:33:34):
When did it happen before Dukeye came out?
Speaker 4 (01:33:38):
Oh, in the van. Dukey came out in the van.
Speaker 2 (01:33:45):
Weird.
Speaker 6 (01:33:46):
You weren't feeling well from that chicken salad way.
Speaker 19 (01:33:50):
And now this young band must get from k C
to l A on time. They're hitting the road in
a van like green Day. Used to be in a
van before Dukeye came out.
Speaker 13 (01:34:00):
One collect with a collect call from Victor for sure.
Speaker 6 (01:34:07):
Oh, and he says it with such vim vig.
Speaker 4 (01:34:12):
He says it in this very striker way. Yeah, my
my wife says he's a human golden retriever. Yeah, he's
just like a smile.
Speaker 6 (01:34:21):
Hey, guys, so accurate that when he's not, it's disconcerted.
Speaker 2 (01:34:26):
What's wrong?
Speaker 1 (01:34:27):
Before Douchie came out, it's a show.
Speaker 4 (01:34:34):
After hours. Voicemail eight seven seven four Woodie, here's one
for God. This is this is for Greg.
Speaker 13 (01:34:41):
Hey, Greg, I'm listening to the podcast about your story
duty something.
Speaker 19 (01:34:45):
So.
Speaker 5 (01:34:46):
I lived in California my.
Speaker 4 (01:34:49):
Entire life, and right at eighteen, I.
Speaker 2 (01:34:51):
Started getting them totally ignored, every single one of them.
Speaker 5 (01:34:55):
Every time I moved, I would get a new one.
Speaker 13 (01:34:57):
Ignored it. Nothing happens.
Speaker 20 (01:35:00):
They don't have proof that you received it.
Speaker 1 (01:35:03):
They just how did they know that somebody didn't go
for your mail?
Speaker 4 (01:35:07):
And yeah, that's been gregs That's been Greg's whole thing.
Speaker 7 (01:35:13):
Amazon packages they leave the credit cards, but they take
your jury.
Speaker 4 (01:35:17):
That's been Gregg's whole argument. They didn't send it certified mail,
the like true for a receipt or anything like that.
Speaker 6 (01:35:23):
And I was incredibly torn between two things. My my
stating that that you should throw it away, and I
was always hell bent on well it's not certified mail.
You can just throw it away. And then on the
opposite side of the spectrum menace and his damn persuasion
when you said, if you throw it away, what are
(01:35:44):
you a communist? And anybody who knows me knows that's
the ultimate insult to me. So I did not throw
it away.
Speaker 2 (01:35:51):
Well you're a.
Speaker 6 (01:35:54):
And I kept it and I called the number. And
first of all these jury summons, very confusing.
Speaker 2 (01:36:00):
Very way too word.
Speaker 6 (01:36:02):
Step multi step.
Speaker 2 (01:36:03):
Who knows how to surprising shows up?
Speaker 6 (01:36:06):
Yeah, And so I called the number and I what
I did was kick the can down the road. I postponed.
You had a choice of all these different weeks, and
I went to the furthest week. Was it supposed to
be September fourth? Oh, dude, I would have taken that one.
Why it's around the holiday and the courts are always
dead around that time and they end up canceling hearings
(01:36:28):
and cancer you would have you could have just called it.
They would have never had you come down anything around
the holiday.
Speaker 2 (01:36:33):
Man, don't listen to him, Greg, because your name is
Greg Gory and you would be called it.
Speaker 4 (01:36:41):
That wouldn't work for me, Like, oh, you have the
day off.
Speaker 2 (01:36:44):
Oh cool coming into the courthouse.
Speaker 4 (01:36:48):
The last time I never had to report. I got
the summons and I called, but it was the week
before Thanksgiving, I believe, and it was like it was
dead because people on their vacations or they're leaving to
go see families. Everything's kind of winding down, and so
they're like, yeah, there's really nothing happening down there, and
so they're like, this is actually a really good friend
(01:37:09):
of mine as a lawyers, Like that's one of the
best times is anytime around the holiday, because well there's people,
people on their trips.
Speaker 6 (01:37:16):
And yeah, it's been a minute since I got a summons,
and I was trying to follow all the directions and damn,
it's so convoluted.
Speaker 11 (01:37:23):
And they write them so small on top of it,
and then.
Speaker 6 (01:37:26):
You fill out this thing before you even call, and
you do.
Speaker 2 (01:37:30):
Report, you don't rip. What, Yeah, it's fair, I'm looking.
Speaker 8 (01:37:33):
And there are regular cases of judges being hard asses
and they'll pull random names who ignored it two three times,
and then they'll bring a couple dozen people in.
Speaker 6 (01:37:42):
And that's the other thing. The point of it would
menace changed my mind too. We went on chat GPT
and asked, can you really get in trouble go to
jail if you ignored her and it says X amount,
you could you could get it a fine. I would
hate to pay a fine over that, and knowing my luck,
I would be the one that they send the fun
they make the example.
Speaker 4 (01:38:02):
Okay. So I was today years old when I learned
that Greg Gory does not understand coffee cake. Multiple people.
I wasn't in I wasn't I wasn't in the room
for the conversation. Please add coffee cake to Greg's Legitimately
(01:38:26):
he doesn't understand.
Speaker 2 (01:38:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:38:29):
Person, Jeff's like, bro.
Speaker 13 (01:38:31):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:38:36):
Reaction.
Speaker 6 (01:38:37):
Can I can I at least get a little bit
of support? Sammy, do you know what coffee cake is?
Speaker 5 (01:38:42):
I made handmade coffee cake yet.
Speaker 7 (01:38:44):
Okay, Okay, so.
Speaker 4 (01:38:48):
Ask ask Sammy's made coffee cake? Ask Sammy the question
that you asked here.
Speaker 2 (01:38:53):
In the room. Okay.
Speaker 6 (01:38:54):
So when you're you put brown sugar, granulated sugar. And
then my question is when do you add the coffee,
Like do you put instant coffee? Do you put like
in teams sud You're.
Speaker 5 (01:39:07):
Just like trying to answer him, and I was like, wait,
do you And.
Speaker 6 (01:39:11):
I thought you guys were punking.
Speaker 5 (01:39:13):
The coffee is an ingredient, the coffee egg. Yes, No,
why is coffee?
Speaker 2 (01:39:20):
You have it with coffee? What happened? And I don't
think your question was to outland? Thank you? I mean
you that, but you had I haven't.
Speaker 6 (01:39:28):
It's resiniscent of coffee flavor.
Speaker 2 (01:39:32):
I thought it was just a.
Speaker 4 (01:39:35):
Brown sugar and vanilla was having too, like.
Speaker 7 (01:39:38):
Eastern European parents. I can't believe you don't know what
coffee cake is.
Speaker 6 (01:39:42):
It's so I mean, I've had it, have you.
Speaker 2 (01:39:44):
I thought it was a hint of coffee.
Speaker 6 (01:39:46):
Yeah, I thought it tasted like you're drinking coffee.
Speaker 2 (01:39:49):
I'll keep it.
Speaker 6 (01:39:51):
Then, why is uh red velvet not called coffee cake?
You could drink coffee when.
Speaker 5 (01:39:56):
You eat that typically what you eat with a coffee
pound cake.
Speaker 2 (01:40:00):
Here's the here's the answer. Thisagel is coffee bagel right
right coffee.
Speaker 8 (01:40:05):
According to Yie Old Internet, this was developed in a
seventeenth century Northern and Central Europe, specifically designed to balance
the bitterness of coffee with sweet yeast breads.
Speaker 5 (01:40:16):
Yeast breads.
Speaker 6 (01:40:17):
I contend that's a dumb name.
Speaker 7 (01:40:19):
It's so strange because this is so like this is
so unlike you.
Speaker 2 (01:40:23):
No. Yeah, but there's like cappuccino ice cream, right, there's
coffee ice cream.
Speaker 5 (01:40:27):
And everybody knows the term coffee.
Speaker 6 (01:40:29):
Cake, but I thought it. I'm still dumbfounded by it.
Speaker 2 (01:40:34):
I had coffee, they.
Speaker 8 (01:40:35):
Ever had it in my life, But I knew that
as a child growing up, that that's oh that's what
parents eat with coffee.
Speaker 7 (01:40:39):
Yeah, even like Inman's like the store bought coffee cake.
Speaker 2 (01:40:43):
It's not that crazy.
Speaker 4 (01:40:45):
Yeah, it's delicious, hella damp hell and just really good.
Speaker 2 (01:40:51):
Oh man, it's so good.
Speaker 6 (01:40:53):
They soak the lady fingers bro coffee.
Speaker 2 (01:40:57):
No, I know, but I thought coffee cake. They put
coffee in it.
Speaker 15 (01:41:00):
Know.
Speaker 4 (01:41:00):
So Greg was to the years old day years old. Yeah,
when someone explained coffee cake, what.
Speaker 8 (01:41:06):
My mind is because it's something that should be in
Greg's world.
Speaker 4 (01:41:10):
That's what I said.
Speaker 2 (01:41:11):
You're in fanciness and.
Speaker 7 (01:41:12):
Europe like European family.
Speaker 6 (01:41:15):
But I don't accept that it's called coffee cake because
you eat it while having a cup of coffee. There's
a lot of stuff you eat while you have a
cup of my.
Speaker 4 (01:41:22):
Sandwich, buy something called.
Speaker 6 (01:41:26):
Exactly, I would like some pizza water.
Speaker 4 (01:41:30):
What it called doughnut.
Speaker 2 (01:41:32):
I don't know for one. Yeah, but why not? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:41:37):
Why is anything called anything? It's a hot dog called
hot dog. There's a dog in there.
Speaker 2 (01:41:44):
You're getting they're just like I don't want to use
the term, but they are gas. They're definitely down. How
you're not getting because it's just having some perspective and
say like, oh, I kind of get what you're saying. No,
there is no.
Speaker 7 (01:42:04):
Stid because Greg, every time, every time you if you
don't get something, I can see why you don't get it.
Speaker 5 (01:42:09):
This is the first time where I am dumbfounded.
Speaker 4 (01:42:11):
Well, no, it's not that I can't see how he
would think that. I can totally see why he would
think that. However, coffee cake seems to be I even
Hostess makes those little like coffee cake round like Starbucks
has it. It's so like it's such a it's it's
such an everywhere you've had it a billion times thing,
like you taste it once you know this is not coffee,
(01:42:32):
and what he would know he hates I hate the
taste it.
Speaker 6 (01:42:35):
Okay, thank god I'm not alone. I'm with Greg. And
then another one. I'm today years old. I didn't know
it didn't have coffee either.
Speaker 4 (01:42:41):
Again why Greg is great No matter what his brain does,
it's endearing and my brain is.
Speaker 8 (01:42:47):
I'm not surprised random Texters don't know it. Greg, But
like Gina, coming back to what Gina said, this should
be something that you are well exposed to.
Speaker 6 (01:42:53):
That I'm I'm gonna have to call my parents later
and just ask me about coffee cake. I just don't
accept the premise that that's why it's cold.
Speaker 2 (01:43:07):
And some follow ups.
Speaker 4 (01:43:09):
So he just texted this over says, hey, what do
the show wanted to give some feedback on the awesome
idea that his throat Goat Thursdays. I think I think
I missed this when I was out, So you can
you can explain it to me. Actually know what because
they go onto a thing and it'll help me understand
what they're saying. OK, So how did it work? How
was what was throat Goat Thursday?
Speaker 2 (01:43:30):
So Throat Goat Thursday we bought, We brought in the goat,
which is Tyler, and uh we blind floated, blind floated,
folded everybody in the room and then Tyler put things
in his mouth and they had asked him questions trying
to guess what the item was in his.
Speaker 4 (01:43:46):
Mouth, okay, and he's answering the questions with them. Okay,
So okay, So he's the throat goat, Yes, the greatest
of all time, different items. Okay, it's kind of like
what's in your fat role? But but everybody else is
blindfolded trying to get okay right. So this person says,
I want to give some feedback the awesome idea that
his throat go Thursdays, I love a new weekly thing
(01:44:08):
out of the show. I know it's the first time around,
but I was thinking that almost Instead of unlimited amount
of questions from everyone, why not limit them to make
the questions more thought out. Let's say twenty questions, which
is a solid amount for a person, let alone a
team of guessers to guess correctly. If there are four
players each get five questions blah blah blah blah blah.
And then when everyone has asked their questions, everyone can
(01:44:29):
give their guests and what it is in Tyler's mouth
Just a thought for mentes. Keep up the great work, guys.
Me love Yeah, I put a time for a two minute.
Speaker 2 (01:44:35):
He essentially had the same issue. Yeah, he took care
of it, just fine. Yeah, yeah, I.
Speaker 11 (01:44:40):
Saw the video. It was awesome. It was pretty funny.
Speaker 13 (01:44:42):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:44:42):
Yeah, people go Thursday to enjoy it.
Speaker 4 (01:44:45):
So yeah, things happen, you know, like if you missed
like one outing with friends and then the next time
you meet up with them, they're like all discussing.
Speaker 2 (01:44:53):
Yeah, you remember.
Speaker 4 (01:44:56):
Some friends who were on the vacation together or something.
They have all these like inside jokes about the resort.
Speaker 2 (01:45:04):
A blindfold.
Speaker 4 (01:45:06):
No, no, well next time we do next time we
do it. If if you, if did everybody liked the
listeners like this, listen.
Speaker 6 (01:45:14):
Just need some music during those two minutes, like yeah
I can.
Speaker 8 (01:45:19):
I can whip you up something that throat Champ music.
Speaker 2 (01:45:24):
All.
Speaker 4 (01:45:24):
Anyway, we were we were talking about Prez Hilton and
you know all that stuff that happened with him. And
there's that guy Scott Nathan who worked with Prez Hilton
on a couple of projects, and he's not a fan.
He says that Prez Hilton is like a grade A douchebag,
you know, the second worst person he ever worked with.
Speaker 20 (01:45:47):
Here's the second time I crossed paths with Perez Hilton.
It was at a show at the Roxy Theater. He
was with Katy Perry and they were both loaded. Katy
Perry pulled me into their booth by my belt loop
and said, hey, Nathan, you know Perez And I said yeah,
Perez goes.
Speaker 4 (01:46:01):
Oh you know me?
Speaker 2 (01:46:02):
You know me?
Speaker 20 (01:46:04):
And I said, yeah, I shot you for TV guid
y effing ass.
Speaker 2 (01:46:07):
He said, oh, how was I?
Speaker 20 (01:46:08):
And I said, honestly, you're the second biggest dick I've
ever worked with. And he cackled, and he said who
is the first? And I said, Christina Aguilera. And let
me tell you something. He effing loved it. He was delighted.
And that little story kind of tell you everything. Because
when his cruelty was coming out of his mouth and
landing on someone else, it was entertainment. But now that
the spotlights pointed back on him, suddenly everybody needs to
(01:46:31):
be kind. I'm not saying Perez Hilton invented cruelty on
the internet. I'm saying he had an extremely successful career
weaponizing it, and for twenty years celebrities were expected to
take it, smile for the cameras, and shut the f up.
Now he's asking everyone to respect his privacy.
Speaker 4 (01:46:48):
Yeah, so this guy has a lot of opinions. Obviously,
on Perez Hilton, but he did say that Christina Aguilera sucks.
Speaker 2 (01:46:56):
Yeah, that was the worst.
Speaker 4 (01:46:57):
That was the worst person. Number one. Now, I've never
met Christina Aguilera personally, but I know a lot of
people who have and who have done things with her,
you know, for you know, concerts or promotions and different things.
And I have not heard any good not one, not
one good story. I've always heard about like what a
(01:47:18):
what a paeny ass, Like what a bit she is?
And we got an after hours voicemail from somebody else.
Speaker 13 (01:47:23):
Hey, wood you Show, Brian from Portland. Just back to
the topic of the bigger dick than Perez Hilton was
Christina Aguilera. I used to work on the Voice with her.
Her and her entourage were always just so rude to everybody.
And one time we were shooting interviews and she pulled
up the stage in her limo said go get a producer.
(01:47:44):
When he got her producer and she's like, I don't
feel like working today, I'm going home. So she spent
the whole time getting in her limo driving all the
way to set to say she didn't want to work.
All right, Woody Show, huge man of you guys, all
in and Suck it.
Speaker 2 (01:47:57):
By the Morrissey Yeah, wow, yeah exactly. I met one
time and she was lovely, yeah, and we were just
saying it was fine.
Speaker 9 (01:48:10):
It was nothing there or anyone who hasn't watched Christina
Aguilera's documentary.
Speaker 5 (01:48:16):
They had anything. When she was a kid.
Speaker 9 (01:48:23):
Her voice, as we know, is ridiculous and it always
was so when she was entering talent competitions and stuff
like that, she would win every single time off the charts,
to the point where parents started complaining they didn't want
her in it. It wasn't fair to the other kids.
And when she's too good. She did Mickey Mouse Club.
When she was in high school, she was like, I.
Speaker 1 (01:48:40):
Don't need to be here.
Speaker 9 (01:48:41):
I don't want to be here.
Speaker 5 (01:48:42):
I'm going to be a singer.
Speaker 9 (01:48:42):
I don't need any of this. She wouldn't go to
school and it.
Speaker 5 (01:48:46):
Was sort of agreed by everybody though.
Speaker 9 (01:48:48):
So like this confidence that was built by her was
a child, she had the skills to back it up.
Speaker 5 (01:48:52):
She had a ridiculous voice.
Speaker 9 (01:48:54):
Her first album that she ever had, they told her
she had to tone it down so that the average
person could sing along, because as her voice, you couldn't
even sing along to it. Cele I'm saying she is
a person who her whole life has sort of backed
up this feeling that she has that she's better than
the adverse.
Speaker 2 (01:49:11):
So you have to be a dick? Right?
Speaker 4 (01:49:13):
That gives you license to be a dick because you
can quote backup of all people that shouldn't be dicks.
It's rich and famous people like, what do you have
to be a dick? Of what?
Speaker 5 (01:49:22):
We have to prove?
Speaker 6 (01:49:23):
Singer?
Speaker 2 (01:49:23):
That's why so everyone else has to bow before me.
I one talent.
Speaker 4 (01:49:26):
I've been told I'm too good down I worked at
a rock quarry, I'd be, you know, irritable and tired.
Speaker 6 (01:49:34):
And physically if I was a singer or an actor
making millions of dollars in the public adored me. What
reason would anybody have to be rude to anybody? No,
I understand, Wow, guys, rule.
Speaker 9 (01:49:46):
I don't agree that she's allowed to just be an
ask to everyone. But when she was in high school
and going like, I don't need to be here, I'm
not doing this, I think her parents agreed, people around
her agreed, So she was taught essentially that it was ok,
hey to go, I'm too good to be here. Yeah,
I'm better than you and I'm too good to.
Speaker 2 (01:50:04):
Be She's proven it, yep. Yeah sure.
Speaker 8 (01:50:06):
And by the way, Ai says that she's a dedicated
humanitarian who focused the security work on fighting global hunger.
Speaker 2 (01:50:13):
So how about you suck on that?
Speaker 1 (01:50:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:50:15):
