Speaker 1 (00:06):
It is a brand new hour of the Woody Showy
and Jeff g are out of town there to be
back on Monday. Everybody else is here on a throwback Thursday,
and this is kind of throwback. At my house, I
have a trash compactor, and I had the crappiest night
last night because I haven't taken my trash out in
(00:27):
so long, because I always forget that it is a
trash compactor. So I've been compacting and compacting and compacting,
and I thought this thing rules, I can save on
garbage bags or just compact the hell out of it. Well,
today's garbage day, so I had to take the garbage out,
and I had been compacting it for so damn long.
The bag ripped as I try to take it out,
so I can't get the trash out. So now with
(00:48):
my bare hands, I'm trying to get I don't know,
three weeks of garbage out of there. The bag explodes,
Coffee grounds everywhere, avocado pits everywhere, macaroni and cheese everywhere.
It was such a disaster. It was so disgusting, and
then I had to spend about an hour cleaning it up.
So my night sucked, but MENACE's Night ruled. Apparently it
(01:11):
did because you had the distinct honor of having dinner
with Tyler's family.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
I did, so, Yeah, I talked about it a little
bit yesterday. But I'm doing this thing with Lazy Dog
Restaurants where they have family Night every Wednesday night, and
I'm gonna be having dinner with like listeners and then
friends and family. And the first family that I had
dinner with was Tyler's family, and it was quite lovely,
(01:37):
and I got to ask them a lot of questions
about Tyler, and unfortunately, like my microphone, like there was
some issue with it, but I did get some audio,
but this part I didn't get on recorded. And I
asked him. I was like, was there any like embarrassing
things with Tyler that happened? And the first story that
his dad shared with me was that they went to Disneyland,
(02:00):
and I guess it was like, what was it the
Matten Horn or something. So we go to Disney Yeah,
and we go on Space Mountain. Yeah. Yeah, Well they
going on Space Mountain and they all sit on there
and then suddenly he's like, yeah, the ride stopped and
they asked us to get off the ride and they
pulled us aside and said, sorry, your your son is
too large to be on the ride.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
How old were you at the time, mid twenties.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Yeah, that's what I was saying.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
And what he did not mentioned is that there was
a whole other car in front of us and had
a bunch of heavy people on it too.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
So it wasn't that. Yeah, apparently you maxed it out there.
But yeah, if you don't know Tyler, there's Tyler, his
mom and dad and five brothers, right, So I asked him, like,
how did you even get by? And this is what
happened when they went grocery shopping. So here's the clip.
One recap this real quick. So when you would go
(02:53):
to the store, there's Tyler and then he has five brothers.
How many gallons and milk would you buy?
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Every two weeks?
Speaker 4 (03:00):
We'd let fourteen yellows? I think how many eggs would
go through?
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Five dozen, five dozen two weeks? Yeah, five dozen or
two weeks.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
So they would drink a billionaire milk a day.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Yeah, that's so.
Speaker 5 (03:14):
Very milk heavy family.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
It was about like fourteen gallons of milk, and then
just one brother would drink about.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Half of it. By himself because that kid loved milk.
Was that it was not maybe yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
But they were telling me, like their their breakfast like
every Saturday Sunday. It was like a hole loaf of bread.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
It was.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
It was like at least a gallon and a half
of milk, a whole loaf of bread, maybe a dozen
and a half eggs, pound and a half maybe two
pounds of bacon. Because I mean you're feeding six or yeah,
six growing kids, so you know, it was a full
cheaper by the dozen, right.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
Yeah, it was insane. But it's not like Tyler didn't
help out around the house. So his mom shares a
story about him providing for the family. So you had
a story about Tyler coming home with a bunch of
food one time.
Speaker 6 (04:00):
Yeah, there's actually two. I have this issue with tweinkies
because they're so unhealthy, and at the time there was
a rumor that Hostess was going out of business, and
so they were like, you gotta get yourself. So Tarna
comes home with like ten boxes of tweakies. It comes in, Dad,
I know she won't let you have them, so I
got them for you because he got him I at
(04:22):
a discount. And this one time when the grocery store
was about to close. He waited till the meat was
on sale for seventy five percent off, and he came
home with like thirty six pounds of bacon.
Speaker 5 (04:36):
Okay, that's really really nice of you. Good effort. And
your mom has such a sweet, adorable voice.
Speaker 7 (04:44):
What I was picturing his.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
Mom is so cool and sounds way more.
Speaker 5 (04:48):
Just haggard and exhausted.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
There were so nice.
Speaker 7 (04:53):
So this couple things here, this twekies thing that was
that was very recently.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
No, this was when Hostess was maybe first going out
of This is like early twenty tens.
Speaker 7 (05:02):
A while that happened like an early twenty ten.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Yeah, it's been a while.
Speaker 7 (05:05):
I don't know my.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
I mean, I do trust Tyler.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
So I remember that because I was working at the
grocery store at the time. So that's how I was
able to, like even all the boxes in the back.
And my mom hates it when my dad gets twinkies
and she specifically calls some cancer sticks. Yeah, so yeah,
and these are cigarettes, yeah, pretty much. And then you know,
that's how I knew that. Also the bacon was going
down because our store was closing for good and time.
Speaker 7 (05:33):
Tyler worked there.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
Yeah, so every book disappearing.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Everything got marked down, so I bought all the bacon
we started in the freezer.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
It lasted about six months. It worked out.
Speaker 8 (05:45):
Back back to the getting kicked off the Disneyland ride
for being too fat? Were you the only one, yes, please,
the only one in your group who was not allowed
to ride?
Speaker 4 (05:57):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (05:57):
No, So they had to. They took everybody off and
then they split us up into like two other separate cars. Oh,
they wanted yeahad out. Yeah, it was basically to spread out.
Speaker 5 (06:10):
They took everybody off and they're like, everybody, but you
get back.
Speaker 7 (06:13):
On kind of.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
So they took the first group and they're like spread out,
and then they took like the second group and they're like,
are you guys spread out?
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Yeah. So I've been with Tyler when this has happened. Yeah,
we were on the well, we tried to go on
the Grizzly No.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
We tried to go on a ghost Rider.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
Ghost Rider yeah, yeah, a wooden roller coaster and they
want to let him on. We had to get off
the ride.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
That was a bit of a wake up con seventy
pounds slider.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
So yeah, it's great. So, yeah, I would love to
try it again, but he's super afraid of roller coasters that.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
Hate so good. Yeah, Final Destination three scarred me for life.
Speaker 7 (06:45):
So because when you're on the coaster, you're not allowed
to eat, is that.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
No doubt it takes away from you. Don't want to
take three minutes of your eating schedule.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
On top of that. So I also I did ask
his dad as Tyler like, disappointed you, you know, let
you down so currently, So one.
Speaker 4 (07:05):
Of the things that Tyler did when he was younger
dad still annoys me to this day to no end,
was I believe he was working at the Woody Show
when he first started, and he wanted to buy a truck,
and he's kind of hinted about it, and I said, no,
you're not buying a truck. You got the car. That's
what you can afford, live within your means. So he
comes home with a nice, brand new truck that he
(07:28):
leased it set up. But and that was the beginning
of his troubles, way beyond his means. And he found
that out that for about a year year and alf
but I was just so mad. I just wanted to
just kill him, just to strangle it. And so I
had to help bail him out to get out of
that mess, and it took him a few years to
(07:48):
pay that off back to me. But uh, as a dad,
you just can't fix stupid, So.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
Just leave you with that.
Speaker 5 (07:58):
And that does he know that's how you became.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
He is very well aware that is the origin of
the He supports it.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Too, And it's like we we thought, like, oh, this
guy has gone through life without any guidance, but he has,
but he just ignored it.
Speaker 8 (08:12):
Yeah, can you get for folks who are fresh, can
you give the quick numbers on what that truck lease was?
Speaker 3 (08:16):
Oh god, it was six hundred a month, and then
the insurance on top of that, I think was like
another two hundred sook.
Speaker 7 (08:23):
The the total the total package, the term limit.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
It was six hundred a month for I believe six
years least.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
Yeah, yeah, it was a least.
Speaker 8 (08:33):
At least yeah, which you know apparently that is the
norm now.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
So I was just OK.
Speaker 8 (08:39):
Because he does heavy construction outside yeah oh wait, no,
he didn't need to.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
It made more than minimum wage.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
He just can't fix stupid.
Speaker 5 (08:49):
Also, we now know exactly what Tyler is going to
sound like in thirty.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
Oh yeah, exact same boy and Unfortunately, his dad had
something really nice to say to him, just record that
he does love that Tyler has followed his passion in,
you know, wanting to pursue what he does now, and
he supports that, so he's happy that he's doing that.
That was cool, but it was a It was a
lovely dinner, and I hope to be having some more
(09:16):
dinners with some actual listeners. So on my Instagram later
at mens uh just follow there and I'll have some
instructions and maybe we can hang out at Lazy Dog together. Fun,
good times.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
My parents had a blast. They loved Menas, so I
was like cool, everything worked out.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
Yeah, we're gonna get married to disappointed your dad's.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
Do you really have a good relationship with your dad
if you don't disappoint him at least once?
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Uh? Yeah, Okay, maybe we got more Woody Show coming up.
Speaker 4 (09:44):
You just can't fix stupid show.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
I'm so glad that we're back here on the Woody Show,

throw goat himself in the studio. His name is Tyler.
You have done the nine by nine challenge? How many times?
Speaker 5 (10:14):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (10:15):
Nine?
Speaker 3 (10:15):
Nine nine challenge?
Speaker 2 (10:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (10:17):
Twice, which is nine hot dogs, nine beers at a
baseball game and nine innings.
Speaker 8 (10:22):
Nice that sounds, by the way. This is the full
like a full beard, a full hot dog. There's a
lot of stadiums when they saw this was catching on,
they said.
Speaker 7 (10:29):
Oh, we're gonna do our own, but that give you
like little teeny dogs and the beer.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
Yeah, yeah, that's got to be pretty easy, right.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
Full dogs because the beard like you know, all the
carbonation that fills up. Well, this is a game but
amongst us and you guys can win a prize. And
what you're gonna do is I gave everybody blindfolds and
you're gonna put them on, and Tyler is going to
put something in his mouth and you're gonna have to
(10:56):
try to guess what it is by asking him questions. Okay,
all right, So I'm gonna give you a time limit
and whoever guests it first wins and the first prize
will be a hundred dollars visa gift card. So if
you can put on your blindfolds.
Speaker 7 (11:15):
Okay, and do we go in order asking questions?
Speaker 2 (11:17):
Is this like you can just shut him out. Yeah,
you can shout him out. Try not to talk over
each other as much. Okay, now here we.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
Go putting something in his mouth.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
He's gonna talk. You can put the first item in
his mouth right now, and you can start asking him
him questions. Now, I'm going to give you a time limits.
Speaker 7 (11:38):

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Anything at all, he's gonna have to try to talk
through it.
Speaker 7 (11:42):

Speaker 2 (11:46):

Speaker 1 (11:52):

Speaker 5 (11:57):
Is it edible?
Speaker 1 (11:59):

Speaker 7 (12:04):

Speaker 1 (12:06):

Speaker 2 (12:18):

Uh and it did sound for whatever reason.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
It's cotton tampon is incredible.
Speaker 8 (12:33):
The way Tyler talks is so wet, and he has
so much fluid that's in his mouth.
Speaker 7 (12:38):
I picked up.
Speaker 8 (12:38):
Oh, it's not his fluidy and like swampy is his
usual voices. It's not that slashing like sea shanty. It
doesn't sound like like like a bubble and mot of
just festering moldron like it's gotta be a tampa.
Speaker 7 (12:52):

Speaker 2 (16:22):
Really, I don't know. I have a huge box of
tampons now, and mill.

Speaker 5 (17:34):
Now, okay, is it hard?
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Is it rock hard? Well? Completely solid, not pliable at all.
Speaker 5 (17:45):
If you hit it against a table, would it make
a really loud noise?
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Yeah? Is this an office supply of some sort?
Speaker 7 (17:52):

Speaker 7 (18:09):
Is it something someone would use for pleasure like a
dill doo?
Speaker 5 (18:12):
Is it for outdoors? Is it for school?
Speaker 7 (18:17):
Is it something people look at to use?
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (18:22):
No?
Speaker 5 (18:23):
Does food come inside of it?
Speaker 1 (18:26):
God?
Speaker 5 (18:27):
Is it of use to you in any way? Do
you own one yourself?
Speaker 7 (18:31):
Do? I?
Speaker 1 (18:34):
Is is it video game related? Is it a game controller?
Speaker 2 (18:43):
I look at it? Is the very nice game controller.
Speaker 4 (18:46):

Speaker 7 (18:46):

Speaker 1 (18:48):
This thing was way in my throat.
Speaker 5 (18:50):

Speaker 2 (18:52):

Speaker 5 (18:53):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:56):

Speaker 5 (19:15):
Well mouth, I think that means he claims it, right.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
Yeah, that's that's how he put his spunk on it.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
Yeah, keep it.
Speaker 8 (19:22):
I'm looking for cent of tampons. I see you play
text as an odor shield. I think it's a good
idea anti scented.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
All right, well, probably don't want perfume down there?
Speaker 5 (19:32):
Up in there?
Speaker 2 (19:33):
All right, you guys want to play one more time?
Speaker 5 (19:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (19:35):
Okay, so this one should have been one hundred dollars
gift card, but whatever.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
Okay, now I'll make this one a hundred dollars car.
Let's do it. We'll do a hundred dollars gift card.
All right, here's the next item. Get all up in there.
Speaker 5 (19:50):
Are you ready?
Speaker 2 (19:51):
We'll get the clock going and go.
Speaker 5 (19:55):
Is it edible?
Speaker 7 (19:56):
Is it primarily made of plastic?
Speaker 1 (19:59):
If you bit down on it really hard, would you
